《Ultimate World Online》
Chapter 1: Prologue!
I should begin, I thought to myself as I picked up a clean sheet of paper from a big pile of clean papers sitting on the right side of the desk and placed it directly in front of me. Then, with my left hand and not the right, as I first learned how to write with my left, I took the feather pen. A feather pen which wasn¡¯t made out of the feather of any simple bird, but of a feather of a phoenix. And not of any phoenix, but the phoenix known as the rising sun. A very fitting name, as the rising sun phoenix, was just as beautiful and just as deadly as the sun itself.
Holding the rising sun feather pen in my hand, I felt heat emanating from it, warming me up and making me feel extremely comfortable. It was as if I was standing under the warm afternoon sun of the late spring.
I dipped the rising sun feather pen into the bowl of black ink. And then wrote in big letters, in the centre of the page.

I took another sheet of paper from the big pile and placed it in front of me. But this time, I didn¡¯t write in the centre of the page, but on the very top and in small letters.
Chapter 1: Birth
I was born between the night of the 29th of February and the morning of the 1st of March. I do not know how much did I weigh when I was born, but I do know that I was born with hair that was black as the void itself and eyes which were as green as the prettiest jade.
My parents gave me the name ¨C Astrid, as they believed that I was the most beautiful baby girl to have come into this world.
I placed the rising sun feather pen onto the table and looked over the few lines that I wrote a few times before taking the third sheet of paper and placing it in front of me. Then, I took the rising sun feather pen and wrote again.
Chapter 2: Growing up
¡
I spent more than a few months writing this chapter before I finished. In this chapter, I spoke about everything that happened between the day I was born and the day I was trapped inside the VRMMORPG or virtual reality massively multiplayer online role-playing game ¨C Ultimate World Online. And in the third chapter, I spoke about my life in the VRMMO, Ultimate World Online.
Chapter 2: Trapped!
Raising and extending my right arm, I swiped my fingers down, and the menu opened, the menu that I had already opened more than a hundred times. And like all those times, I scrolled down to the very bottom before letting out a heavy sigh as I saw that a crucial button was missing from its place.
I guess this is really happening.
Scrolling up, I tapped on the inventory button and the inventory window opened. In it, there were two items: a sheet of paper and a box. Tapping on the former, it appeared in my right hand.
Dear player, Astrid
You amongst other lucky few players have been selected to live in [Ultimate World Online]
We have sent you a gift, you can find it in your inventory
Death Penalty: -1 Level and resurrection in the home town
Please enjoy your life in [Ultimate World Online]
Reading the sheet of paper for the second time, I gritted my teeth, crumpled it up into a small ball, rose up from the ground, placed my left foot forward and threw it with all the strength I had.
I am yet to graduate from university! Find a job! Get married! Have kids! Live a full fulfilling life! And you are telling me that I have to live inside a game for the rest of my life?! Screw you! F*ck! F*ck! F*ck! As I thought this, I was angrier than I was in my entire life.
I took in a deep breath through my nose and closed my eyes.
Holding the air in my lungs for a few seconds, my anger somewhat calmed down but it was not entirely gone. I breathed out of my mouth and slowly opened my eyes.
I have to find a way to get out of this game. But as far as I know, the only two ways of getting out of virtual reality, is to either log out or get kicked out. Since logging out is clearly not an option, how do I get kicked out?... I can''t think of anything¡ I am sure, I will think of something eventually.
Letting out another heavy sigh, I tapped on the box in my inventory. It appeared in my right hand and I pulled the string.
The box disappeared from my hand and notification messages started flashing in front of me.

Looking at the names tight grip, double slash and war stomp, I can already guess what they do and what class tyrant is. The skills window opened in front of me and I looked over my three skills.

Just what I expected from those three. I closed my skills window, and swiped my fingers to the right. And the menu closed. I moved my eyes to one of the boar piglets.
<>
<<20/20>>
I need one more boar piglet to complete the quest. I pulled out my two-handed stick from my back and held it in my left hand as it was my dominant hand and holding it in my left hand gave me 75% critical strike chance from the passive tight grip.
Walking up to the boar piglet, I struck it, and it was an immediate critical strike, <>. Boar piglet squealed and it fell down to the ground, dead. It got enveloped in a golden glow which meant that it was lootable, and a few notification messages flashed.

Tapping on the 1 copper coin in the loot window, it got looted and I now had 10 copper coins in total. I straightened out and walked back to the quest giver.
The quest giver that I returned to was an old man standing in front of a house between many farm fields.
"I have killed the ten boars you wanted me to kill."
The old man nodded his head. "Thank you, young adventurer," he said and a few notification messages flashed in front of me.

"When the sun disappears from the horizon and the moon shines brighter than the sun, the wolves howl like they always had. But every night the howling gets louder and louder. I fear that for some reason the wolves had left their dens in the forest, and that they will soon come to my farm. Can you find and kill all the wolves that are outside of the forest?" The old man said with a serious expression on his face.
Wolves, huh¡ I thought before I said, "Alright, I will find and kill your wolves. But before I go," I glanced at the broom which was leaning against the house''s wall near the wooden door. "Can you sell me that broom?"
A few notification messages flashed in front of me.
<>
The old man glanced at the broom. "You want to buy my broom? Why?"
"Yes. Will you sell it to me?"
The old man slowly nodded his head. "You can just take it." Following his words, The broom got enveloped in a golden glow.
"Thank you." I smiled. I walked up to the broom and touched it with my left hand. A loot window opened and in it was an item.

The old man nodded his head. "Mhm, I will be waiting for the good news, adventurer."
"Yeah," I said and walked out of the old man''s farm and towards the forest.
Leaving his farm, I stopped, unsheathed the broom and snapped the strings that held the straws together. A notification message flashed in front of me.
<- Stick, Item Grade: Common, Item Type: Weapon ¨C Two-handed Staff, Damage 1-2 -> 2-4>>
That''s better. I sheathed the stick and continued ahead, only stopping when a wolf appeared in front of me. The wolf was of a size of a normal wolf and had black fur. Above it, I saw its level, name and health.

Unsheathing my two staves, holding one with my left hand and the other with my right hand, I approached it.
Seeing me, the wolf growled while baring its teeth and it lunged at me.
I sidestepped to the right, easily dodging. I tightened my left grip and swung the staff in my left hand, and while my left staff was in mid-flight, I tightened my right grip and swung the staff in my right hand. Two damage numbers floated up one after another above the wolf''s head, <<-21>> <<-23>>. It¡¯s health was reduced to 16.

¡
Searching for the wolves and killing them until it got dark outside, I killed 37 wolves in total. Killing them I received 1,110 experience points which levelled me from Level 1 to Level 6, and looted 111 copper coins, and I now had 1 silver coin and 24 copper coins.
Returning back to the old man''s farm, I saw that he was no longer standing where I saw him last. He must have returned back inside. I walked up to the house and knocked on the door.
A few seconds passed and footsteps sounded from inside the house.
He is coming.
Another few seconds passed and the wooden door opened.
"I killed all the wolves I could find," I said the moment the door fully opened.
"How many did you kill?"
"A little over thirty wolves."

I first closed my character window and then the menu. I saw the ceiling in front of me and closed my eyes. How do I get kicked out? How do I get kicked out? How do I get kicked out? How do I get kicked out? This one thought went through my head until I ultimately fell asleep.
Chapter 4: Going To The Forest!
Opening my eyes early in the morning, I saw the ceiling that didn''t belong to any room of the house that I lived for the last twenty-two years, and my eyebrows furrowed. Why¡ªthat''s right¡ I am trapped in a VR game. I let out a sigh before putting my right forearm on my forehead and closing my eyes.
A few minutes of complete silence passed and I slowly opened my eyes for the second time. Nothing ever gets accomplished by just lying on the bed. If I want to leave this VR game, I have to somehow get kicked out... Somehow¡ Moving my right forearm from my forehead, I got up from the bed and walked up to the door.
Leaving the room and navigating the house''s corridors, I reached the door that led outside, but then it suddenly opened.
Through it came a middle-aged man with short black hair. He wore tight blue pants, white shirt, blue jacket with an insignia of the tiger''s head which was the coat of arms of the tiger country on the top right corner, and a sword sheathed on the right side of his waist.
He frowned. "Who are you? Why are you in my father''s house?" he said as he moved his right hand to his sword''s hilt.
Above this man¡¯s head, I saw his level, name and health bar.
<>
<<350/350>>
This man is that old man''s son? Regardless of that, from his clothes and the insignia on his jacket, it''s safe to assume that he is a guard of some city here in the tiger country. If I don''t answer him quick, he will pull his sword on me.
"My name is Astrid,¡± I said. ¡°I gave a hand to your father, and as payment, he offered me to stay the night."
His eyebrows furrowed. "You helped my father and he let you stay the night?" he said with doubt in his voice.
I nodded my head in confirmation. "Yes. He asked me to kill the wolves that left the forest."
Rick''s eyes widened and mouth slightly opened. "You killed the wolves?" he said as he moved his right hand away from his sword''s hilt.Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator.
"Yes I did."
"I see¡ª" Before he could finish his words, an old man''s voice sounded behind me, "Son."
Rick and I turned towards the voice and we both saw the old man, standing not too far from us with a broad smile on his old face.
"Dad¡" Rick said.
So they really are father and son.
Rick walked past me, approaching his father and the old man walked towards him, approaching his son. They enveloped each other in a hug.
"Long time no see, dad," the middle-aged man said.
"Yeah, long time no see, Rick," the old man said immediately after.
They hugged for an entire minute before separating.
"I came as fast as I could," Rick glanced at me with his right eye and shook his head. ¡°But it seems, I was not fast enough."
The old man nodded his head. "Yes, the adventurer has already helped me." He looked at me. "Tonight was the first night in many years since I didn''t hear a single howl. I believe that there is not a single wolf remaining."
Rick faced me and I saw a dumbfounded expression on his somewhat handsome face. "You killed all the wolves?!"
"I did," I replied and turned my eyes to the old man. "Thank you for yesterday''s dinner, and for letting me spend the night, but I should be going on my way."
The old man shook his head. "It''s fine, it''s fine, but before you go at least eat breakfast with us."
I raised the corners of my lips, smiling lightly. "Thank you."
"Now that''s rare," Rick mumbled and we all walked into the kitchen. Rick and I sat down at the table facing each other, while the old man started preparing the breakfast.
"I don''t believe I introduced myself. My name is Rick."
"Nice to meet you, Rick. My name is Astrid."
"Nice to meet you too, Astrid."
"Astrid, will you go to a forest with me?"
I crossed my arms, tilted my head slightly to the right and said, "You want my help in finding out what drove the wolves away?
"I should just focus on the food," I heard the old man mumble and glanced at him. I saw his back and nothing more.
Rick nodded his head. "Yes, you showed that you are capable enough. So what do you say? Will you help me?"
I have no reason to refuse. Nodding my head, I said, "Alright."
A few notification messages flashed in front of me.

<>
¡
After eating the breakfast that was prepared by the old man, Rick and I left for the forest.
Walking towards it, we didn''t encounter anything we had to fight, and reaching it, Rick said, "All the wolves are really dead, aren''t they¡"
"They are,¡± I said. ¡°Let''s go into the forest."
Rick nodded his head and we walked into the forest. But once we entered it, a notification message flashed in front of me.
<>
A dungeon? I thought as I narrowed my eyes.
"What''s wrong, Astrid?"
"It''s nothing,¡± I said. ¡°Let''s go."
Rick nodded his head. ¡°Alright. Let¡¯s go.¡±
Chapter 5: Entering The Forest!
Walking through the forest, Rick and I carefully inspected our surroundings, searching for that something that drove the wolves out of their dens and out of the forest. But so far, we only saw grass that was both short and tall, bushes that were both wide and narrow, trees that were so high that their tops were reaching for the skies themselves and the usual forest animals: birds, squirrels and many others. As for what we heard, we heard each other''s footsteps, the leaves that rustled in the gentle breeze of the wind, birds that chirped every once in a while and the other sounds that the forest animals made.
"What do you think drove the wolves away from the forest?" Rick suddenly said, breaking the concert of the forest''s various sounds.
I glanced at him with my right eye as he was walking from my right before opening my mouth and replying, "I don''t know."
"Can''t you guess?" he said and I felt a pair of eyes on me. I stopped and looked at him. He was looking at me.
"No. And don''t bother guessing yourself." I looked away from him and continued walking ahead. He followed suit.
"Why?" he said not even a quarter of a second later.
"Guessing does more harm than good," I replied instantaneously.
"Why?" he replied instantaneously as well.
I sighed. "You first make a guess. Then you suddenly start to think that your guess is a fact. And finally, when you act on that guess, you either get lucky or get burned. And nine out of ten times you get burned."
"I guess you are right," he said after more than 10 seconds and dryly laughed. Then, we continued ahead.
After a few minutes of walking without talking, we suddenly stopped as a foul stench penetrated out nostrils. What is that foul stench? I thought, and he vocalised my thoughts.
I shook my head. "I don''t know, but it''s not anything good."
"Let''s go and find out!" he said and ran towards the stench. I followed closely behind him.
With our every step, the smell got fouler and sharper. All until it reached its foulest and sharpest form when the thing that gave off that stench appeared in our eyes. It was a wolf or its corpse to be exact, lying on the ground on its right side. Its belly had a huge gaping hole. Its innards were scattered around its corpse, like they were pulled out and thrown out by someone or something. And every piece of its scattered innards had flies swarming around them.
The horrendous sight made me sick to my stomach and it made me want to throw up. But I managed to hold it in and force it back inside. Rick, however, didn''t have such luck. He vomited out his breakfast on the grass below his feet. The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
"Who¡ªwho did this?" Rick mumbled as he wiped the puke from his mouth.
I shook my head. "I don''t know. But whatever it was. It was the reason why the wolves left this forest." Just after my last word left my mouth, the dead wolf''s belly suddenly moved.
I frowned. Is there something in its belly? I unsheathed my two weapons, holding one with each hand.
Rick looked at me. "What''s wrong?" he said, but then a figure leapt out of the wolf''s belly.
It was of the size of a ten-year-old human child and was completely naked. It had long sharp fingernails on both of its hands, long ears, sharp teeth and a long nose. Its eyes were the same as that of a reptile. Its skin was moss green and bumpy, but more than 70% of it was covered in blood.
I immediately knew what it was. It was a monster that was usual for any fantasy RPG. It was a goblin.
<>
<<200/200>>
"*Kikiki!*, prey, *Kikiki!*" the goblin spoke in a high-pitched voice and charged towards me.
"Impossible! Monsters have not been seen for hundreds of thousands of years!" Rick shouted out while I prepared myself by tightening my grip on my two staves.
"We have to run now!" Rick''s second shout came out of his mouth when the distance between me and the goblin became non-existent.
The monster struck towards my stomach with its bloody right-hand''s claws, but I sidestepped to the left and dodged. Then, I quickly slashed with the stave in my right hand and then the stave in my left hand. Two damage numbers floated up above the goblin''s head and the latter was a critical strike, <<-64>> <>.
"That hurt *Kikiki!* Kill! *Kikiki!*" the goblin screeched during which I stomped my foot down using the skill, as I gained enough rage from my last two attacks. More damage floated up above the goblin''s head, <<-73>> and the last of its health emptied out. It fell down to the ground dead and its body got enveloped in a golden glow. A few notification messages flashed in front of me.
<>
<<+100 XP>>
I sighed with relief. This goblin was much faster than those wolves. If I didn''t fight them first, I wouldn''t have been able to dodge this goblin''s attacks, I thought as I sheathed my two staves. Then, I bent down and touched its corpse with my right hand and a loot window opened. In it was one item and it was copper coins. 10 of them. I tapped on them and they got looted.
Standing up, I looked at Rick. He was staring at me wide-eyed.
"Are you okay?" he said with concern in his voice.
"I am fine."
He nodded his head and breathed out a sigh of relief. "That''s good. We have to go to the capital and report that in this forest there are monsters."
"I am continuing."
His eyes widened. "We can''t! We will die! We have to leave! The black ones will deal with it!" he shouted out.
The black ones that Rick mentioned were the strongest knights of the tiger country. And their sole duty was to protect the tiger country from the most direst threats. I knew what they were, because they were introduced in one of the game''s promotional videos along with the white knights who protected the dragon country of the human race from the most direst threats and the holy knights who protected the holy empire of the human race from the same kind of threats. There were also other promotional videos that introduced the other races'' protectors.
"I am going ahead," I said. "You can go if you want."
Rick opened his mouth to say something, but he swallowed those words and said instead, "I will go with you if you are going. I won''t be responsible for killing such rare beauty."
Chapter 6: More Goblins!
"Alright, let¡¯s go,¡± I said and we walked ahead. Before long, two goblins appeared in our path. One standing on the left and the other on the right with 10-yards of space between them.
"You take one on the left and I will take one on the right," I said as I moved my eyes from one goblin to the next.
Rick gulped down his saliva but didn¡¯t say anything. And so I looked at him. Our eyes met. He slowly nodded his head and said in a low, barely audible voice, ¡°Alright.¡±
I moved my eyes to the goblin standing on the right and unsheathed my weapons, taking one with each hand. Rick did the same with his sword. We approached our respective goblins.
Once we got close enough, the two goblins charged at us as they shouted, ¡°Kikiki!*, prey, *Kikiki!*¡±
The goblin that charged at me, reached me and struck its claws towards my chest.
I dodged by sidestepping to the right as I had already practice dodging goblin attacks. Then, I slashed with my left stave and then the right. A few notification messages flashed in front of me. <> <<-64>>.

So I have four options for a talent specialisation: brute, swift, immortal and mystical. Out of all these four, mystical is no good as I am yet to put any points in the Intellect attribute. And if I start putting points into that attribute now, I would have to focus on more attributes which would weaken me in the long run. The other three specialisations are very solid though.
Strength, Dexterity or Constitution. Rage generation from dealing damage, movement speed or rage generation from receiving damage. Weapon damage that gets increased with wrath, three guaranteed critical strikes or damage immunity for 15 seconds. It''s a very tough decision as all three are all very strong specialisations, but which is the strongest one? Mhm¡ Strength increases physical skill damage, damage from auto attacks and physical critical strike damage. Dexterity increases physical skill damage, attack speed and critical strike chance. Constitution increases maximum health. The choice is between Strength and Constitution, and between these two¡
I selected the brute option and the talents window changed. In it was a black line that went from left to right to up to left again to up again, and so on. On the line itself, there were squares and each square had a number above it. Out of all the squares, only one wasn''t dimmed.

I closed the character window and the menu. I walked out from behind the trees, and saw Rick staring at the goblin that fell by his hand.
"Rick!" I called out.
He turned towards me and said with a serious expression on his face, "I really think we should turn back."
"I said before. You can go back, but I am going ahead.¡±
He immediately shook his head. "I am not going to let you go alone."
Shrugging my shoulders, I said, "If you want."
"I do, I can''t let you go against these monsters alone."
Chapter 7: Fighting A Boss!
"Alright," I said and walked up to the goblin that I killed. I squatted down and touched its corpse with my left hand. A loot window opened and in it, just like in the last one, was 10 copper coins.
"Why are you checking the monster again," Rick said.
"No reason," I said as I looted the 10 copper coins. I stood up and walked up to the goblin that Rick killed. I looted it as well and we walked deeper into the forest.
We stopped when two more goblins appeared in our path. Then, we exchanged glances, unsheathed our weapons and approached the two goblins. I took care of one and he took care of another. I looted their corpses and we continued on.
Walking deeper and deeper into the forest, we came across 18 more goblins. Killing them, I levelled up 1 level, going from <> to <> and looting them, I got 180 copper coins or 1 silver coin and 80 copper coins.
When we saw the 19th goblin which stood in front of the cave''s entrance, we didn''t immediately approach it. We looked at it from afar first as it was different from the others that we had killed. It had two short daggers in each hand and was wearing a leather helmet. But more importantly, it was a boss.
<>
<<400/400>>
"This one looks different from the others," Rick said.
I nodded my head in agreement. "You are right. I think that he will not be like the others that we had killed. You approach it from the left and I will approach it from the right. The one that it attacks will retreat while the other one will strike him from behind."
Rick slowly nodded his head. "Alright," he said in a low voice.
I pulled out my two staves and Rick pulled out his sword. I approached Johny the goblin from his right side and Rick approached it from its left side.
When we got close enough, the monster turned towards me. It must have decided that I was the weaker one for a reason that only Johny the goblin knew. "Human woman, I am going to kill you! *Kikiki!*" Following its words, it vanished into thin air.
"Where did it go?!" Rick shouted out as he began to frantically look around.
It went into stealth? I began to carefully inspect my surroundings, looking for any signs and listening for any sound that would help me find Johny the goblin.
I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my back and a notification flashed in front of me, <<-238>>. It was only a tenth of my health, but it was the most intense pain that I ever felt and I couldn''t help but scream out.
"*Kikiki!* Got you! *Kikiki!*" Johny the goblin said in an excited voice.
I am going to kill that little prick! I thought as I clenched my teeth. Then, I turned 180 degrees as quickly as I possibly could and slashed horizontally with one of my staves. But I hit nothing but air and Johny the goblin was nowhere to be seen.
Rick ran up to my side. "Are you okay?" he said with concern in his voice.
"Stand with me back to back," I said, ignoring his stupid question. Of course I was not okay. Just a moment ago, I felt more pain than I did in my entire life.Love this story? Find the genuine version on the author''s preferred platform and support their work!

I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my stomach and a notification flashed in front of me, <<-265>>. But this time, I bore through the pain and didn''t scream out.
Even though Johny the goblin struck me, it didn''t leave stealth. But it didn''t matter. I knew that since it just struck me in my stomach it had to be in front of me. I slammed my foot down using the skill, <> as I just had enough wrath. Then, I slashed widely with my left stave, but I felt no contact, and so I slashed again with my right stave. This time around, there was contact and Johny the goblin appeared.

With Johny the goblin in plain sight, I didn''t wait for anything and slashed with my left hand. My attack connected and not only that but it also critically struck. A notification message flashed in front of me, <>.
"You bitch! *Kikiki!* I am going to kill you! *Kikiki!*" Johny the goblin angrily shouted out as it vanished into thin air once more.
"Are you alright?! Did you get it?!" Rick shouted out.
"Prepare yourself. It might come for you next," I whispered.
"Got i¡ª" Rick''s words got interrupted before he could finish them and I glanced back to look at him. What I saw was his body laying on the ground. He was dead.

I frowned and slammed my foot down, using the skill, <> as it came off cooldown. A few notification messages flashed in front of me.

Chapter 8: Gible
After looking through my changed character information, I closed my character window, and the menu appeared in front of me. From it, I opened my talents and looked at the talent that I was yet to unlock.
<>
<>
So, if my double slash currently deals 101% of my strength as damage, it will deal 111% of my strength instead when I unlock this talent. I allocated my 2 skill points into this talent and it got unlocked.
I closed my talents window and the menu. Then, I looked at Rick¡¯s corpse. I have to bring Rick to his father. I will take him on my journey back.
I looked at Johny the goblin¡¯s corpse. The stealth that this prick used was really strange. It didn¡¯t leave stealth when it attacked me or when it was hit by my AOE attack. It only left stealth when I managed to hit it directly with my stave. Normally, all three of those things would force someone out of stealth. I have to find another way to force someone out of stealth, or fighting enemies with this ability will be really troublesome.
I looked at the cave. Time to proceed. Walking up to its entrance, I looked inside. There were four wolf corpses and they were all in the same shape as the wolf¡¯s corpse that had a goblin inside it. Are goblins inside each of those four wolves?
I unsheathed my two staves and slowly approached the closest wolf¡¯s corpse while keeping my eyes on all of them. Stopping when I was near it, I raised my stave in my left hand and struck down. A notification message flashed in front of me, <<-115>>
A figure leapt out of the wolf, landing a single step away from me. "How human know *Kikiki!* How?!" the goblin angrily shouted out.
<>
<<85/200>>
The other three wolf corpses moved and out of all of them leapt out a goblin.
Landing on the ground, they shouted out one after another.
"*Kikiki!*, prey, *Kikiki!*"
"*Kikiki!*, human, *Kikiki!*"
"*Kikiki!*, kill human, *Kikiki!*"
Just as I thought, I thought as I took a step forward, closing the distance between me and the closest goblin. I slashed with the stave in my right hand, <<-110>>.

I took a single step back, dodging both of their attacks. Then, I took a step back in and struck the goblin that was to my right two times. <<-113>> <<-110>>.

Not even thirty seconds later, three wolf corpses appeared in my path.
Let''s begin.

I killed 14 goblins which were hiding in the stomachs of dead wolves, before walking out into a spacious room. In the centre of this spacious room stood a goblin, but this goblin wasn¡¯t like the eighteen goblins that I killed throughout this cave. This goblin was like Johny the goblin. It had a weapon in its hand, a long stave, but more importantly it was a boss.

I need to kill it before it gets a chance to do anything. I unsheathed my weapons and charged towards Gible the goblin.
"Human here?" Gibble said when I was halfway to him.

I killed 24 goblins which were hiding in the stomachs of dead wolves before walking out into another spacious room. However unlike the floor of the last spacious room, the floor of this spacious room was littered with 20 corpses of dead wolves. And in the middle of all those corpses stood two goblins. One was fat, tall as a full-grown adult and held a two-handed sword in his right hand. While the other one looked exactly the same as the last boss that I had killed, but with one difference. This one wore a pair of pants.

There are twenty wolf corpses around those two goblins. I will have to fight twenty-two of them at the same time¡ I either focus on the goblins hiding in the wolves first and then on the two bosses or focus on the bosses first and then on the goblins hiding in the wolves.
Closing my eyes, I breathed in through my nose, held it in for a few seconds and breathed out of my mouth. I opened my eyes and narrowed them at the two bosses. Then, I unsheathed my two weapons and charged towards them.
When I got close enough, the two goblin bosses saw me, but they showed two different reactions.
"*Kill! *Kikiki!* Kill!" Bil the smasher shouted out and charged towards me. While Radzi the healer retreated back without uttering a single word.
At the same time, wolf corpses moved and out of them started leaping out goblins.

Time to go back. I turned around and walked out of the cave. Leaving it, I saw Rick''s corpse lying on the ground where I left him. I walked up to him, picked him up and walked back to the old man¡¯s farm.
I saw the old man standing outside of his house and he saw me. He ran towards me and I walked towards him. We met midway.
¡°I am sorry,¡± I said.
The old man started to shake his head and tears started to flow down his face. "No! How did he die?! How!¡± he shouted out.
I opened my mouth, but before I could say even a single word, the old man suddenly touched his chest with his hand and clenched it. A quarter of the second later, he fell down to the ground. He was dead.
I closed my eyes. He had a heart attack. I slowly opened my eyes. I lowered Rick to the ground and looked around. Seeing a shovel not too far away from me, I walked up to it and touched it. A loot window opened.
<>
I looted it. Then, I opened the menu and from it my inventory. I equipped the shovel, closed my inventory and the menu. I walked behind the house and saw a wooden plaque.
<>
I guess this is the old man''s wife and Rick''s mother. I will bury them beside her.

The sun was beginning to set down when I looked at three graves of Liana, the old man and Rick. I closed my eyes. May you rest in pea¡ª I interrupted my own thoughts by opening my eyes and mumbling, ¡°What am I even doing. I am in a game. They are not real. Lying down on the bed, I closed my eyes and let myself sink into sleep.
Chapter 10: Cooking!
Opening my eyes the next morning, I rubbed them with the back of my right hand before loudly yawning out. It¡¯s morning¡ I will eat something first and then I will leave. I rose up from the bed, left the room and made my way to the kitchen.
Walking into the kitchen, I looked it over. There were milk, cheese, eggs, ham, bread, butter and a knife, all enveloped in golden glows. I walked up to the knife and touched it. A loot window opened.
<>
I looted the knife. Then, I looted the ham and after that, the milk, the cheese, the eggs, the bread and the butter.

<<+3 Spirit for half an hour>>
Alright. Now then, where is the closest city. I opened the menu and from it, I opened the map. I saw where I was and where I had been so far, but everything else was in a fog of war. I wonder if there is some kind of a map in this house.
Closing the map and the menu, I began to search the house one room at a time. I started with the kitchen and here I found a few spices, a flintstone, some steel and more knives. Storing the spices, flintstone and steel into my inventory, I continued onto the next room.
The next room was the room next to the kitchen, the living room. In it, I didn¡¯t find anything useful. And so, I continued on.
The next room was the room where I spent the last couple of nights in, and in it, just like in the last room, I didn¡¯t find anything useful. And so, I continued on.
The next room was a spacious room with a double-sized bed. This room was obviously the old man''s room. Like with the two rooms from before, in this room, I didn¡¯t find anything useful.
I reached the door which seemed to lead to the last room of the house. I hope, I can find a map inside there. I placed my left hand on the door¡¯s handle and pushed, but it didn¡¯t budge. Then, I tried to pull, but it didn¡¯t budge again. It''s locked? I furrowed my eyebrows, raised my right foot and kicked.
The door lit up with a bright light and I got sent back flying into the wall behind me. A notification message flashed in front of me, <<-10>>. What the hell?! A health bar appeared above the door.
<>
<<897/1000>>
Magic shield? Why is there a magic shield inside an old man''s house? I rose up from the ground, walked up to the door, and unsheathed my two weapons, holding my stave in my right hand and my sword in my left hand. I slashed with my stave, <<-171>> <<+26 Wrath>>. The magic shield was reduced to 726 health, but this time I wasn''t pushed back.
I slashed with my sword in my left hand, <> <<+67 Wrath>>. I followed up with the slash with my right hand, <<-177>> <<+26 Wrath>>, then my left, <<-182>> <<+31 Wrath>>, my right, <<-192>> <<+28 Wrath>> and my left again, <>.

As the notification message flashed in front of me, the door shattered, opening a staircase, leading below. A basement? I thought and took the stairs, leading down.
Chapter 11: The Room!
The stairs creaked with my each taken step. And the lower I descended, the darker it got. But it never went completely dark as the light behind me shone through the broken door.
After a hundred or so stairs, I was forced to stop as a door appeared in front of me. Is this door the same as the last one?
Putting my left hand on the door¡¯s handle, I pushed. Unlike the last time, the door opened. But even though the door opened, I couldn¡¯t see what was inside that room as it was too dark.
Great. I will have to look in the dark, I thought. But once I took the first step into the room, countless blue orbs appeared out of nowhere, lighting up the entire room and revealing eight bookshelves filled with books on the left and the right side of the room. And a desk in the top-centre of the room.
What are these blue things? Magic lamps? That old man didn''t look like a sorcerer and his son Rick didn¡¯t use a single spell when we fought the goblins. That leaves only Liana. Hopefully, she has a map in this room. Let¡¯s start from that desk.
I walked up to the desk. On it laid three books, all covered in dust and enveloped in a golden glow. I started off by touching the book in the middle of two other books. A loot window opened.
<>
A second class? Good. I can now cover the weaknesses of my tyrant class with another class. I looted the book. Then, I touched the book that was to the left of the book I just looted. A loot window opened.
<>
I looked at the <> book in loot window for a few minutes as I attempted to think of a reason as to why was this book laying here on the desk. But I didn¡¯t manage to find an answer to my question and I just looted it. Then, I touched the last book on the desk and the loot window for the last book on the desk opened.Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
<>
Just like I did with the book <>, I first looked at the <> for a few minutes. But instead of spending this time thinking about the reason why was this book laying here on this desk, I spent this time convincing myself that it was okay for me to do anything in this world. Even unthinkable things like digging up a grave. After that, I looted the book.
Turning around, I looked at the eight bookshelves on the left and the right sides of the room. I will search these bookshelves and then I will go and dig up Liana¡¯s grave¡
Going from one bookshelf to the next, I looted all the books that seemed even a little useful. These useful books were either profession or class books. For profession books, I got books that taught herbalism, mining, skinning, tailoring, sculpting, enchanting, armorsmithing, weaponsmithing, alchemy, leatherworking, scavenging, first aid, cooking and fishing. As for class books, I got books that taught base classes Sorcerer, Priest, Archer, Assassin, Paladin, Knight, Fighter, Berserker. And unique classes Necromancer, Blood Mage and Summoner.
Clicking my tongue, I mumbled, ¡°I didn¡¯t find a single map in this entire house.¡± I shook my head in disappointment. Then, I opened the menu and from it my inventory. I read the book <> and a notification message flashed in front of me.
<>
I will change my race and learn a new class after I dig up that body. I closed my inventory and then the menu. I walked out of the room and all the blue lights darkened, submerging the room into complete darkness.
Before walking up the creaking stairs, I glanced behind my shoulder to look at the room I just left. I walked out of the house and made my way to the graves of the old man, Rick and Liana.
Looking at the three graves in front of me, I shook my head. I can¡¯t do it¡ I know that this is a game and that you all are soulless programs. But please rest in peace¡ I opened the menu and from it my inventory. Then, I read the book <> and know I knew about all the ancient races of this world. There were 5 in total and they were werepires, alvars, oni, dwarves and kitsune. Werepires were the ancestors of vampires and werewolves. Alvars were the ancestors of all elves. Oni were the only race that went completely extinct. Dwarves were the only race that didn¡¯t change from the days of old. Kitsune were the only race that became worshipped as gods.
I read the book <>. A notification message flashed in front of me.
