《Philosophy of the Unrivalled Dungeon Master》
The Prologue: Are You Bored?
The Prologue: Are You Bored?
Sitting in a darkly lit room, where the only source of light was from the slight glares, coming off from the laptop screen and monitor.
Tap! Tap!
As the sounds of my index finger tapping on the downwards keyboard of the laptop, which immediately scrolls down the web page that I''m currently on.
Numerous covers of fiction and stories posted on the website, passing by me in the blink of an eye, but nothing has caught my interest.
I then sigh out of boredom, showcasing my sense of interest.
I thought to myself, ''There really is nothing else to do and nothing that is quite interesting to read.
"And also, none of the fictions that I''ve bookmarked and favourited has updated yet... I''m bored!'' I thought, whilst expressing my sense of dissatisfaction.
I then yarn, stretching my tired arms out, reaching way pass over my head, and leaning back against my gaming chair.
I twisted my neck, back and forth, side to side slightly, and hearing a slight crack.
I then looked at the stationery digital clock that is placed adjacent to me, right beside the single bed, and checking the time on the clock.
The neon green numbers that are shown the digital alarm clock, indicated that it was already half past three in the early morning.
''It''s 3:34 AM, huh? So it''s already morning, huh?'' I thought so to myself, and then came to a sudden realisation that I''ve spent the whole night surfing the internet; reading Japanese light novels, playing video games, watching anime, etc.
So much so, that dark rings are beginning to permanently form around the areas that are under my eyes.
Despite living this sort of lifestyle daily for years, I''m not that surprised if I have gained weight, or become obese.
However, I am the exact opposite, a short scrawny, late twenty years old something man.
Plop!
The sounds of a popup ad appearing on my laptop screen.
[Are you bored with your life? Nothing else to do? Why not seek some sort of Entertainment in ??????????]
The popup ads literally covered the whole laptop screen, and there is no exit or [¡Á] close down button in sight, to be seen, which was quite alarming and an obvious sign that something was not right.
The first thing that I thought, ''There is no close down button in sight. So how am I supposed to close down the popup ad, or is it a computer virus?''
''There is always an alternative. I could just press F5 to refresh the webpage to get rid of the popup ad, or just simply turn off my laptop, and that will be the immediate end of it. I hope so.'' I thought.
Before I could even press the F5 button on the laptop keyboard to refresh the page, the popup ad then changes, shifting to the next ad phase.
[Do you wish to start a new life in Another World? It''s your choice to make...]
[Do you want to become a Game Master? [Y]Accept or [N]Decline ]
The contents of the popup ad have certainly caught my interest.
''Another World? Do you mean being Isekai-ed.'' I thought, whilst showcasing a visible look of interest.
I am indeed an avid fan of anime and manga, especially those of the isekai genre.
I''ve read so many manga or light novels where the main protagonist dies and is then reincarnated into another world, or was forcibly summoned to another world through magic to be a hero of some sorts.
''Hmmm...'' I thought, ''Is this some sort of an advertisement for an Isekai novel or an anime perhaps. Possibly a new JRPG game.''
''It''s really a pretty odd way to advertise it.'' I thought so to myself.
I grew more interested, and more engaged in the subject matter.
However, in the back of my mind, a thought inside of my head, ''But what if maybe if I pressed on the accept button, then maybe possibly I will be transferred to another world, like all of the isekai novels that I''ve read.''
I then grew all the more delusional, trying to escape the reality that which is my life that I have been living this past couple of years, but the more functional side of my brain didn''t like that. He was relentless, forcing me right back to reality.
"Hahaha! Who am I kidding?" I then laughed crazily at myself, having broken down mentally.
I slammed my left hand down on the desk table hardly, causing a strong intense shockwave of pain to reverberate throughout my left hand. Thereby, loudly breaking the quiet silence of the night.
I then screamed out seemingly at the top of my lungs, having a mental breakdown, "Being Isekai-ed to another world! Who am I kidding! That sort of thing only exists in work of fictions, and not real life..."
"Hahaha..." I continued to laugh crazily at myself.
The sounds of my maniacal laughter echoing, it began to fill every nook and cranny of the room that I was currently in until the only sound that I could hear was from my overbearing laughter.
However, the laughter began to slowly dissipate, becoming all the more quieter, until it completely subsided.
A fluctuation of emotions then floods my mind, and I soon then felt sad and a bit depressed. As old ''wounds'' soon began to resurface.
Looking at the slight reflection of myself on the laptop''s screen, I could see myself beginning to start crying, as I get a bit teary-eyed.This content has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
"Who am I kidding? Being transferred to another world is a whole lot better than living this sort of life." I''ve voiced out my strong sense of frustration.
''I''m already twenty-seven years something old, and I''ve done nothing at all with my life. I have no money, nor job, and I''ve only been leeching off the comforts and care of my older brother.'' The more that I talk to myself, the angrier the tone of speaking did I get.
''Whilst, all of my friends and classmates from high school, they have already moved on and make a living for themselves... and I, nothing?'' After I''ve vented out all of my frustration, I then grew all the more tired.
I then heaved a long depressing sigh of relief.
In the quietness, I could hear the slight sounds of my heart beating rather rhythmically, palpitating, and steadily getting faster.
Even though, I could not truly see my face at this moment. I could instinctively tell that my cheeks and face have turned slightly red, not out of anger, but out of embarrassment for making a mockery of myself.
I could instinctively feel the faint sensation of heat radiating off my face and cheeks, as I felt a bit light-hearted.
Whilst, my ears were bright red (pink) in embarrassment and is strongly emitting off heat, as it took me some time to cool down my head.
The sense of self-loathing for myself has yet to disappear, but it has somewhat subsided, enough for me think clearly by myself and be able to make clear enough decision.
''Now that really was a roller coaster of emotions.'' I thought so to myself.
''Was I always this emotional, or has spent all of that time alone by myself has caused my mentality to be unstable.'' I thought so to myself, whilst feeling slightly saddened over the matter.
I slowly raised my head, and my eyes immediately focused on the laptop screen that stood before me.
''The pop-up ad is still there.'' I thought to myself.
I thought, ''It won''t hurt to try. If it turns out to be a computer virus, then the anti-virus software that is pre-install on this laptop will certainly detect it and detain it in the virus box. Thereby, preventing the computer virus from causing any further harm to the pc.''
''Hmmm...'' I thought so to myself, as I moved the mouse cursor over towards the accept button.
The mouse cursor lightly hovers above the accept button.
And with a single click of the computer mouse, the mouse cursor on the laptop then presses the accept button.
[You have accepted the gracious offer that was granted by the World System: Yggdrassil! ]
[Congratulations, Alexandre Lee! And Welcome to the world of Tetraeus! ]
[You are hereby reborn as a Dungeon Lord! ]
[Your life essence and soul is hereby bound to the dungeon and it''s core! If the Dungeon Core is destroyed you will be killed along with it! If your body is destroyed, so long as the Dungeon Core is intact, a new body will be created to replace the destroyed one! ]
The moment that I let go of the computer mouse and the mouse cursor then presses the accept button.
The popup ad then underwent an unbelievable transformation, the originally 2d blue rectangular shaped popup ad then started to change. It immediately popped out from the laptop screen and is in plain sight.
It fully materialised into the 3d world, where I''m currently am.
It has transformed from a simple rectangular shaped popup ad into a notification popup, like one of those that are commonly seen in MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) type of video games.
"Huh," I uttered out, at a slight loss for words.
I didn''t have that much time to react, as my field of vision is thereby covered up with numerous popup notification screens before I was suddenly assaulted by an intensely bright light.
A bright beam of white light then struct out from the ground, it struck me dead centre, like a homing missile.
The dimly lit bedroom is suddenly lit up intensely, with rays of bright light escaping from the windows, in the middle of the night.
As the feeling is akin to getting an electric shock, immediate pain started coursing throughout my veins and quickly spread out towards my entire being.
My body froze and can''t move, as if I was completely paralysed, something is definitely been interfering with the electrical signal that is being conveyed through my central nervous system.
I steadily watched as my own body began to disintegrate right before my very eyes, becoming nothing more than mere particles of light.
The beam of white light gradually shrinks down until there was nothing left, everything soon returns to the quiet and peaceful atmosphere it once was, except for an entirely missing person.
? ? ?
Someplace else, in an entirely different world completely different to our own, presumably, it is called Tetraeus.
[Mysterious Voice: Rise and shine, sleepyhead! Alex, you have to wake up! You''re an idiot! ]
The sounds of a loud male''s voices soon then made their way towards my ear, and I momentarily woke up from my slumbering state.
"I''m up! I''m up already! So stop yelling at me, David!" I woke up to being annoyingly screamed at, so I retaliated by shouting back at him.
I assumed that it was my older brother David since he is the only other person that I would actually talk to, besides my parents that is. And every day, he would scream at me to get up and eat breakfast, so immediately assumed that the male voice was him.
[Mysterious Voice: I am not your older brother at all. You stupid nincompoop. Now get up... ]
The mysterious voice loudly lectures, immediately telling me, he is not who I think he is.
"If you are not David then who the fuck are you?" I asked the mysterious voice, as I then groggily opened up my tired closed eyes.
When I finally opened up my eyes, I was then immediately greeted with an unfamiliar stone ceiling. And right before my very eyes, a tiny holographic version of me then appears floating in front of my face, closed up.
"Huh?" I uttered, slightly confused, but still retaining my sense of rationality.
[Mysterious Voice: Boo! ]
The miniature holographic version of me then made a slight loud sound in an attempt to scare me.
However, I wasn''t really frightened by it at all, but slightly surprised by it all.
It indeed took me some time for my brain to process all of the things that I''ve been through.
And an immediate question soon arises, appearing inside of my head, ''Have I truly been Isekai-ed to another world.'' I asked myself.
[Mysterious Voice: Well, of fucking course you have! You have been transferred to another world! If you just looked around you, did you not see that this is no longer your bedroom! ]
The miniature holographic version of me then shouted at me, lecturing me, nonstop. And it was quite literally beginning to start to annoy me.
Adhering to the instructions of the miniature holographic version of me, I then had a look at my surroundings.
It would seem that I''m trapped within a closed cave room, roughly about 3¡Á3 meters approximately in terms of size, which is indeed quite cramped in here.
Where the only source of light within this small 3¡Á3 meters cave room, was the ambient gentle blue light that is emitting off from the dungeon core crystal, which is located at the centre of the cave room.
A dungeon core crystal is the heart of the dungeon itself. It is directly linked to the soul and body of the Dungeon Lord.
If it is ever destroyed or broken, the dungeon itself will be completely eviscerated in the blink of an eye, and the Dungeon Lord will die vanishing alongside it.
However, if the Dungeon Lord is ever killed in action. So long as the dungeon core crystal is still intact, with plentiful mana it is possible to Respawn with a new body.
The fallen Dungeon Lord is fully resurrected in an entire new completely identical to the one before it was killed, or even possibly create an entirely new different physical body, completely different from the original race or gender, but at the cost of a large expense Dungeon/Magical Points.
And then it suddenly hit me, I thought, ''Wait a minute! I don''t remember actually asking the miniature hologram if I actually have been transferred to another world. I just thought of it.''
''Can he read my mind...'' I asked inside my head, and the miniature holographic version of me then nodded his head, thereby confirming my suspicion.
[Mysterious Voice: Yes, I can read your mind. ]
The miniature holographic version of me spoke to me, which seems to only further arouse my suspicions and add more questions to the previous one.
I then looked coldly at the miniature holographic version of me, and asked with a stern-looking cold serious voice, "Who are you?"
The miniature holographic version of me then smiles, as he lightly shrugs his shoulder, almost as if it was implying ''who knows?''
But later, he confesses.
[Mysterious Voice: I am you, whilst at the same time I''m not you... ]
"Huh?" I uttered, with an extremely convincing confusing look, plastered on top of my face.
And that is because I am confused.
This chapter was written and edited on a Mobile Phone.
The story is based on Vrdraco''s ¡¶Mystery of the Dungeon¡·which is originally based on Komanchi''s discontinued novel¡¶I¡¯m Another World¡¯s Dungeon! After reincarnating, my body became that of a dungeon.¡·
Chapter 1: Picking A Starting Monster Race
Chapter 1: Picking A Starting Monster Race
I then scrutinise my eyebrows, unable to make heads or tail over whatever he is saying. I am quite confused.
[Mysterious Voice: Well, to be exact. I am technically a part of you, not you ''you'' to be exact. ]
"What do you mean?" I asked the miniature holographic version of me a question, with a very confused look plastered on my face.
[Mysterious Voice: I am technically your subconsciousness, and when you were transported to this world, a piece of you was ripped out from yourself and you then successfully became a Dungeon Lord. ]
"This..." I was visibly at a loss for words, unable to find any suitable words to sort of describe the situation that I''m in right now.
However, I am filled with so many emotions right now, far too complex to simply put into words.
[Mysterious Voice: The tore out subconsciousness of the original host will then fused with the dungeon core itself, thereby then developing its own artificial intelligence, and becoming a Dungeon Core A.I. ]
[Mysterious Voice: The Dungeon Core A.I is pre-installed with all the necessary information, help info, and details in order to aide their original self in completing and accomplishing their mission. ]
[Mysterious Voice: The Dungeon Core A.I itself is designed after the original host. So it definitely contained all of the original host''s personal memories and personality. ]
"This... This is a lot to take in right now." I said, as my hands and arms are visibly shaken.
''This feeling that I am feeling right now. This emotion. It''s excitement.'' I thought, unable to contain my excitement. ''It is not fear, but rather joy. A sense of excitement to explore the uncertainty of the unknown, like a true explorer.''
I was certainly amazed over what I''ve just heard, and couldn¡¯t hold back the excitement.
[Dungeon A.I: Well, take your time Original Me, as I personally have plenty of time to wait in here until you are already to proceed further in taking your step to becoming a Dungeon Master. ]
The Dungeon Artificial intelligence version of me nonchalantly spoke to me, whilst waving his hand, clearly indicating his boredom.
"Wait a minute!" I exclaimed and then said, "Since you are technically a part of me, and calling you Dungeon A.I all the time can be annoying, and just don''t feel right."
The Dungeon Artificial Intelligence version of me grew interested, as he then gazed intently at me.
[Dungeon A.I: Oh, so what would suggest to call me then, Original Me? ]
I then said, "Since you are an exact copy of me, whilst containing all my memories, experience, and personality, but with no actual physical body. So how about we go with this..."
Suggesting the idea, "I get to keep the first name ''Alexandre'' and you get the last name ''Lee'', thereby when we combined it. It would give us our full name ''Alexandre Lee'', so how about it."
[Lee: Well, that is a lot better than what I could think of, but still it would take some time to get used to. ]
[Lee: So if it was me, I would properly just come up with a random name, out of the middle of nowhere. Since it won''t have as much sentimental value as the name you''ve given me has. ]
The newly named Dungeon Artificial Intelligence spoke to me, with a sense of enthusiasm, and some strong attachment towards his new name.
"Well then, that''s good. So what now?" I asked Lee.
Lee then immediately answered, with a straight face, the mellowness previously has vanished, replaced with a serious tone and atmosphere.
[Lee: Let''s get down to business! With the informal introduction, over and done with. We should start by improving our dungeon space, as you can see. This could hardly be enough to pass and be classified as a Dungeon. ]
Lee, the Dungeon Artificial Intelligence indeed spoke with utmost certain facts, which certainly got me interested.
"And why is that?" I asked Lee, the Dungeon Artificial Intelligence, thereby seeking his wisdom.
[Lee: A Dungeon typically has a well more advance or complex layout, much like a labyrinth or maze, but most importantly it must have monsters and set traps, which is in order to kill outside invaders. ]
Lee, the Dungeon Artificial Intelligence explained carefully to me. So that I was able to get a clear picture.
"So what do we do now then?" I asked Lee for any ideas on how to start things off.
[Lee: The first thing that you should do is check your Status Window first, as there are two parts; your Personal Status Window and the Dungeon''s Status Window. ]
[Lee: To access your Status Window, you can just recite the keyword ''Status'' inside your head or say it out loud, on voice command. Another alternative choice is that you can open your Status Window through the Dungeon Interface menu. ]
Lee, the Dungeon Artificial Intelligence gave me a detailed explanation, and some simple instructions to follow on how to open my Status Window.
I then followed the precise instructions given out by Lee, as I then recited the keyword ''Status'' inside of my head.
''Status!'' I recited the keyword inside of my head.
And then a large blue screen then pops up, appearing in front of me, which certainly displays all of my personal information and the so-called Dungeon''s information.

"Woah! What the..." I then accidentally let out a few words of awe, surprised at what I saw that is laid out before me.If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it.
I thought, ''The status windows are so detailed, they even contained all of my personal information and details.''
''How awesome is that! '' I so to myself.
Lee, the Dungeon Artificial Intelligence then proceeded to explain all of the basic dungeon knowledge and the information that he acquired from the dungeon system to me.
[Lee: All types of dungeons basically start at the same rank at some points in time as dungeon rank Z-, but as you grow, increasing the number of monsters and the number of inhabitants living withinside of your dungeon. Your dungeon rank will naturally increase and possibly upgrade to the next rank. ]
[Lee: Dungeon ranks are determined by how capable you are at defending your dungeon, the number of floors and levels you have in your dungeon. ]
[Lee: Stronger monsters or creatures with higher intelligence or sentience would thereby contribute more to the dungeon''s evaluation. Do you understand? ]
"Okay, I''ve got that!" I gave out a vague response, implying that I''ve got the message.
[Lee: At the same time, all starting dungeons will be given 100 DP. DP refers to Dungeon Points, as they are the currency that only Dungeon Masters used. ]
[Lee: Dungeon Points are what Dungeon Masters used to upgrade, excavate, or modified their dungeons. At the same time, modifying and evolving Dungeon Monsters, whilst accessing the Dungeon Market. ]
[Lee: So do you get what I''m saying? ]
Lee, the Dungeon Artificial Intelligence version of me then asks me a question.
I then answered, "Yeah, sort of."
"This is kind of like a tower defence game, am I right Lee?" I continued, then asking Lee a question.
[Lee: Yeah. ]
He responded with a simple nod, agreeing with my point of view and statement.
I then suddenly remembered something. "Come to think of it, didn''t this sort of reminding you of the Dungeon Core LitRPG genre that used to be quite popular a couple of years back?" I asked Lee.
[Lee: Oh, yeah! I remember those days... ]
I then continued on the conversation, "You know what. What kick-started off my interest in the dungeon core novel genre was the ''Mystery of the Dungeon'' written by VrDraco and ''The Rise of the Dungeon''."
I suggested a novel that was written by one of the more popular famous authors that I like on Royalroad.
[Lee: Well, that is too bad. The author of the novel ''Mystery of the Dungeon'' gave up on it long ago. His only reasoning, at the time, for dropping it was that he was running out of creativity and ideas. Writing himself into a roadblock that which he no longer wants to continue. ]
Since both Lee and I shared the same identical memories, we naturally both came to the same conclusion and decision. So it is hard to debate with each other, what''s right and what''s wrong.
"Yeah, I know," I said so dejectedly.
"At the very least, I could just wish that he would not drop the story until after the tournament arc, as it was just beginning to start getting interesting." I voiced my opinion on the matter.
"Maybe he was starting to become bored with writing the story, you know. People tend to lose motivation in things that they have done so for a long time, they want something new, and more challenging. Blindly, exploring the unknown and so on..." I said so towards Lee.
[Lee: I guess, you''re somewhat right. ]
Lee, the Dungeon Artificial Intelligence version of me gave a short response, somewhat agreeing with my point of view.
"Now then, let us begin the process of renovation our dungeon, shall we?" I said.
I decided to shout out Lee''s name. "Lee!"
[Lee: Roger that. ]
He responded by opening up the dungeon interface, and immediately giving me a list of options to choose as my starting monster.
| Please choose your desired starting monster race! |
| Goblins |
Wild Beast |
| Slimes |
Insects |
| Elementals |
Faeries |
| Undeads |
Imps |
| (!) System Notice |
|
Warning: You will be given only one chance to pick your starting monster race!
The starting monster race that you''ve picked will be permanently added to your summonable list!
The other monster will be locked until the host has either captured a live specimen of that particular race or unlocked the monster through an evolutionary line!
|
"So what options do you think I should go with, Lee?" I asked Lee, my dungeon artificial intelligence A.I.
[Lee: Well, definitely not the Undead race, as it is easily unlockable by converting dead corpses or bones into zombies and undead skeletons. And their four stenches will certainly, without doubt, begin to stink up the place. ]
[Lee: The Goblin race are not so good of an idea, as they take too long to properly nurture and train, because they are quite dumb and pretty stupid. Tree-branch-wielding-green-gremlins! ]
Lee, the Dungeon Artificial Intelligence version of me immediately rejected two out of the eight starting race options.
He even insulted the goblin race entirely as a whole.
I then responded, "Was there really a need to insult the goblin race that much?"
[Lee: Well, have you ever read the ''Goblin Slayer'' manga or have watched the anime. ]
I was certainly at a loss for words, so I answered back with, "Touche!"
"Then what about the goblins from ''That Time I Got reincarnated As A Slimes! and ''Re: Monster''. I suggested.
[Lee: The goblins from Rimuru''s world are simply not realistic, but I can see that they have some potential to become someone like Rou. However, the possibility is quite low. ]
After thinking so hard towards myself, I then decided to pick the Elementals race.
''Elemental.'' I thought, as I then select the Elemental monster race options.

[Lee: Dungeon Moss is a type of moss that simply grows in abundance in dungeons, and is quite often used as the early main producer to start off the monster food chain. ]
[Lee: And the dungeon moss has a high susceptible stabilisation rate, and is quite often used in alchemy as an alchemical catalyst, or brewing some potions. ]
"Wait a minute! Why do the Elementals cost so much, I have barely enough dungeon points to even summon 1 Elemental." I exclaimed out in shock at the Elementals'' astronomically large summoning cost.
This chapter was written and edited on a Mobile Phone!
Chapter 2: Settling Up The Dungeon
Chapter 2: Settling Up The Dungeon
[Lee: Then why don''t you try summoning one of those Earth Elementals and find out. ]
Lee, the Dungeon Artificial Intelligence version of me commented, with a mischievous look on his face, almost like he knows something that I don''t.
But, I interjected and said, "But I don''t have enough dungeon points to even summon one out."
However, Lee insisted, despite knowing that I lack the amounts of dungeon points to fully summon a single Elemental.
[Lee: Just try one, and we would see if you are able to summon one or not. ]
Lee was being quite mysterious, and very much insisted for me to follow suit.
I then press on the ''Earth Elemental {Rock Variant}'' option of the monster summoning selection, wholeheartedly expecting the dungeon system to reject my input command because I don''t have enough dungeon points.
However, the determined outcome was truly unexpected, as it definitely falls outside of my expectation.
The summoning immediately went through, as I could instinctively feel all of the remaining dungeon points sucked out of the dungeon crystal and some of my magical power.
Ding!
| (!) System Notice |
| You have successfully summoned 1 Earth Elemental {Rock Variant}, 125 DP is hereby consumed! |
"What the...*gasp*" I exclaimed, then gasped, with a visibly shocked look on my face.
The dungeon points are consumed, since it was not enough, some of my magical power is sucked to partially displaced the summoning cost.
The whispering of spirits, the fluctuations of mana, as magical power then rapidly gathers together, and a fully formed earth elemental core then materialises outside near the dungeon core crystal.
"What the..." I exclaimed, with looks of confusion.
Lee, the Dungeon Artificial Intelligence version of me then floats up to me, and carefully explains everything to me what just happened.
[Lee: In fact, the actual price of the Earth Elementals are 125 dungeon points, but to fully summoned the creature would cost you 225 dungeon points. ]
[Lee: And why is that, that is because the elemental core is the heart and soul of the elemental, whilst the body is merely a vessel to contain. The elemental''s vessel body is made up of materials that match with its elemental core and element type. ]
''For Earth Elementals, it''s rock, earth, and rubble. For Fire Elemental its fire and lava/magma, and Water Elemental it''s water...'' I thought along the lines of those thoughts.
And then it suddenly it hit me, ''Earth and rubble, we''re currently in a cave. So there is plenty of earth rubble lying around here.''
[Lee: Bingo! ]
As he said this, the brown amber-like earth elemental core began to light up, almost gravitating, as it started spinning at a much higher velocity.
The ground, earth, and rubble began to rumble, shaking, as an unknown force began to them together.
Lumps of the earth began to be pulled out from the ground, boulders of astronomical size began to roll over, as stone pebbles are sent flying like falling meteors. All towards one place, end, and final destination.
The bits and pieces of the earth began to rapidly attach themselves to the earth elemental core, and a humanoid figure then steadily form right before my eyes.
After a minute or so, the Earth Elemental then completely formed itself, as bits of loose dirt began to fill in every nook and cranny, small dry cracks and holes in the Earth Elemental''s body.
The Earth Elemental stood on two legs, with a towering figure of roughly about 2 meters, with a humanoid-like body shape.
Its own face was far less pronounced, less detail, and disorderly, almost like an amateur stone sculpturer sculpting a face for the first time. The Earth Elemental''s eyes, resembling two dots of orange light, began to lit up.
The Earth Elemental was emotionless, despite being just born a few couples of seconds ago, it certainly displayed some level of sentiency, and curiously survey its entire surroundings.
Since the Earth Elemental was not something that was naturally born out of nature, but rather is nature itself, incarnate. It certainly lacks the basic necessary instincts instilled in all life and wild creatures to fear the unknown.
How a prey is fearful for its life, whilst running away from a predator. And the predator''s drive and will to live, so thereby it must kill in order to survive and live.
However, an Elemental lacks either of those basic instincts, so long as its elemental core is not destroyed, it will not die.
An Elemental does not age, nor grow old, so it can certainly live on forever like it is immortal. For the exception of the Nature Elemental, which certainly has its own lifeforce tied to the plants and wild fauna living withinside its own surroundings.
Not so long after, after surveying its own surroundings, its own eyes finally landed upon my extravagantly gallant figure and the tiny floating holographic version of me, beside me, which is named Lee.
The Earth Elemental then felt a certain level of connection, floating and seemingly coursing throughout the entirety of its elemental core, between me and itself.
The feeling was quite harmless, neither threatening nor displayed any intents to do harm, kind of like kinship.
The Earth Elemental then tilted its head slightly, whilst placing its own left hand over its chest, as it continues to stare seamlessly in my direction.
Confused, I then asked Lee, "Lee, what is it doing? And why is the Earth Elemental mindlessly looking at my direction in particular? It seems to be doing something."
Lee, the Dungeon Artificial Intelligence version of me then immediately came up with an appropriate answer, based upon his logical thinking and hypothesis.
[Lee: It must have sensed a connection between you and itself, like the connection between the dungeon and the dungeon master. And also, its earth elemental core contains trace amounts of mana which is used to summon it as well. ]
"I see." Nodding my head in agreement with Lee''s theory and hypothesis.
I then clap my hands together and said, "It''s time to renovate the dungeon."
"You there." I then pointed at the Earth Elemental, which certainly then immediately caught its attention. "I want you to excavate and help me expand this dungeon room, do you understand?"
After listening to me, issuing out orders to it, the Earth Elemental then nodded its own head in confirmation.
The Earth Elemental then steadily walks towards one of the sides of the 3 ¡Á 3 ¡Á 3.5 meters cave room, its footstep sounds like sumo wrestlers stamping their feet down on the ground.
As the Earth Elemental, with its bare hands, begins bashing into the rock-solid cave wall.
Its massive stone fist, like a man-made wrecking ball, it started to chip away at the stone cave walls. Bits and pieces of rubble began to unravel, as the Earth Elemental then unleashes its fury of punches.
I then unknowingly cast the skill ''Dungeon Observation'', which costs 0 MP, thereby allowing me to see the target''s status windows.
The Earth Elemental''s status window is displayed openly for me and Lee, the Dungeon Artificial Intelligence version of me to see.

"Its stats aren''t half bad, definitely, certainly are better than mine for the most part," I commented, after seeing the Earth Elemental''s status window.Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit.
[Lee: Well, Earth Elementals are widely known to be one of the more physically strong and defensively orientated amongst the many Elemental races. They are certainly stronger than the average human being. ]
''If it weren''t for the class speciality, which thereby refines our skills into technique and abilities that would make us far more capable than monsters.'' I thought so to myself.
[Lee: You know that you could spend a few of your magical points to help speed up the excavation process right. The exchange rate of magical power to dungeon points is one to one, after all, it only costs a little bit to excavate a 1¡Á1 block. ]
| Excavate |

I then check the amount of magical power that I may have left within the mana pool, which was plenty, and it was certainly enough to use the excavation block process a few times.
Pressing on the ''1¡Á1 Block'' excavation three times of the dungeon interface.
I could then instinctively feel the magical power leaving my body like all the heat and warmth is suddenly drained out from my body, and into the dungeon core creature.
The dungeon core crystal then lit up, and three 1¡Á1¡Á1 cube outlines then appeared over the side of where the Earth Elemental was mining.
The Earth Elemental then halted its actions and immediately stopped digging, as it senses a strange disturbance. Sensing the large fluctuations of mana that is happening within its surroundings.
The area that was within the three 1¡Á1¡Á1 meter block outline was suddenly engulfed by an intensely bright light, and everything within it was immediately disintegrated into nothingness.
I then asked Lee, "Whatever happens to the rubble, earth, and dirt that was excavated?"
Lee, the Dungeon Artificial Intelligence version of me then answers, giving an unsuspecting answer that manages to catch my interest.
[Lee: The 1¡Á1¡Á1 meter block that was successfully excavated are immediately deleted, and nothing of it remains, but residues of white particles of light. ]
"Interesting!" I said so to myself, then wave my hand at the Earth Elemental, giving the ''A-OK'' signal to continue excavating.
The Earth Elemental then resumes its mining demolition, smashing the stone cave walls with its massive rock fists.
''The excavation process consumes nearly a third of the remaining magical power reserved that I have left.'' I thought so to myself, as I checked the remaining reserve of magical power that I have left.
"So what should I do now, Lee? Or maybe I should wait for my mana to regenerate so that I could possibly summon another Earth Elemental? Any suggestions, Lee?" I asked Lee, the Dungeon Artificial Intelligence version of me.
[Lee: Whilst, the Earth Elemental is busy preoccupied with mining, and expanding the dungeon core room. You could focus on increasing the biodiversity of your dungeon. ]
Lee, the Dungeon Artificial Intelligence version of me then suggested an alternative plan of action, which sort of gotten me interested.
I then responded with, "How am I supposed to do that, Lee?"
[Lee: You could simply begin to increase the plant vegetation inside of your dungeon by transplanting patches of grass and dungeon moss. And silkworm & mealworms to start off the food chain. ]
"Hmmm..." I then said, "I get the whole plant and vegetation thing, but why mealworms and silkworms."
[Lee: And that is because mealworms and silkworms are herbivores. They only eat plants, leaves, and moss, quite often they are used as feed to be fed to other small carnivores like birds and lizards. ]
"I see," I said, whilst nodding my head in agreement with Lee''s statement.
[Lee: In this case, we will be raising the mealworms and silkworms as cannon fodder to be used as baits to lure in wild critters from the outside world, and when the wild critter is busy preoccupied with its meal. We will be able to capture it and add it to our collection of monsters. ]
"Now that does sound like a plan. I dig it." I complimented my other-self.
I then opened up the dungeon interface, and immediately went to the summoning section, and bought 3 patches of 1m2 grass for 3 Dungeon Points.

I placed the three patches of grass in the front left corners of the cave room, plenty of space away from the dungeon core crystal, so that it may not impair my field of vision through the tall grass.
At the same time, I''ve bought two patches of dungeon moss for a total of 6 Dungeon Points.

I placed the dungeon moss on the cave walls, right behind the tall grass. As the dungeon moss grows, it would definitely spread upwards, eventually slowly making its own way towards the ceiling.
Afterwards, I then bought a group of ten Mealworms and ten Silkworms, each costing 3 DP for each one.

| You have bought 10 Mealworms and 10 Silkworms for 60 Dungeon Points! 60 DP has been deducted from the remaining 61 Dungeon Points! |
After I''ve purchased the ten silkworms and ten mealworms, immediately placing in each individual patches of Tall Grass, segregated from their particular counterpart.
Once the silkworms and mealworms are placed down, I then feel a sudden uncomfortable feeling, as dizziness then struck me.
I felt a bit light hearted, and a feeling of tightness unravelling withinside my chest, as I started to have difficulty with breathing. My vision collapsing, and I then falls on all four, breathing and panting heavily.
''What is happening to me? Why is my body like this?'' I asked myself, not so longer after I then black out, and completely myself to the ground.
Lee, the Dungeon Artificial Intelligence version of me, who was floating right beside me and watch it all happened. He was certainly surprised by it all.
[Lee: I should have really warned him not to overused spending all of his magical power in one go, otherwise he would then enter a mana exhausted state. ]
