《Hidden Darkness, a Star Wars story》 Chapter 1 Lightsabers are heard clashing with blaster bolts, armor, and flesh, shouts echo throughout the cavernous halls of the temple, a young girl, barely 6 years old, runs out of a room with tears streaming down her face and past many windows, the one facing out show a city scape as far as the eye could see, and below her, a large clearing in which robbed figures wielding blades of blue, green, and yellow light are blasted down by men in blue and white armor, one by one.The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement. The windows facing in show similar battles on a much more brutal and massive scale, hundreds, possibly thousands of men, women, and even children are slaughtered by even larger numbers of men in armor, bodies of both sides lie everywhere, on stairs, over ledges, but the girl sees none of this, and contenues to run. Chapter 2: the Dogs Den (2nd draft) Timeskip: The Watch Dogs Mecenary group is a ragtag collection of just about all shady professions, ranging from transport and smuggling, to spying and assassination. They make their largest profit by being a middle man for contracts, some representatives will hang around shady places like a Huts palace and hand out contracts, taking small commissions for themselves of course, excluding these "commissioners", there are only around 40 working mercenaries that actually do the jobs themselves, and they like to hang around their own "pack". In their free time, they can often be found getting drunk at their base on the Tythe system in the Savereen Sector. Although it is more of a small canteen in the middle of a desert with few defenses, not even the Empire knows where the base is located. The canteen is nameless, but is referred to as the Dogs Den. It made is of a brown metal, somewhat corroded, and has multiple stories. Inside is a bar and a stair case leading to the second and third stories, that have member exclusive access, of course, only members come here any way. When a ship approaches, one is able to hear the engines outside. This is what the 20 or so people in the canteen are experiencing at the moment. To those who are new to the sound of ship engines, they almost always sound the same, but to those who listen closely, certain differences can be heard, and as the ship outside gets closer, some of the veterans of the group tense up, as if they are nervous, some stand and move, some send glances towards the door, others take efforts to completely ignore the incoming ship. The newer members see their seniors reactions and the more curious ones ask questions. If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. "What''s going on, is the Empire here!" A young Twi''lek asks an older human, the old man just laughs "The Empire, here, ha!" This calms the Twi''lek girl down a little but her curiosity compels her to contenue, "Then, who is it", "It''s one of our scarier members, she is the co-leader of this group as a whole, and the only person here who is not part of a pack. She takes a lot of assassination, escorting, and and anti-piracy contracts, and she likes to dissapear from time to time, says she''s looking for something.", a look of intrigue appears on the Twi''leks face, "what is she looking for?" "Don''t know, but last time some one tried to dig into her personal life, we had to drag him to a bacta tank to heal him, so I wouldn''t ask, just keep to yourself, and she won''t bother with you got it, ok, go look for a good job, preferably a smuggling one, those pay good." With that, the girl knows that the conversation was over, so she nodded and left to go find a contract the her boss would like from the data base. While walking through the canteen she heard people whispering gossip to one another, all had different tales and hearsay, "Did you hear..." "One time she boarded an imperial transport to assassinate the commander on board" "Didn''t she also impersonate the commander afterwards" "There was one time" Such conversations reignited the young girl''s curiosity, and as she reached the terminal, she decided to turn around and find a good place to look By now, the ship had landed and who ever had landed was walking down the ramp and towards the door. It was so silent, you could hear the footsteps outside. Status update This app, Deleted The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. Finally, the door whirs open and slides out the way, showing a figure. It is a woman, judging by the body shape, confirming everyone''s thoughts. She stands in the door way for a moment before walking towards the bar on the other end of the room from the door. She is wearing what would usually be expected of a space traveler, linen like cloth shirt and pants, knee high brown boots, a brown, cropped jacket ending halfway down her stomach, some gloves, and a tool belt with a holster for a blaster pistol, basic smuggler get up, but she was also wearing a visor like mask the prevented other from seeing her eyes, it was a silver piece of metal with a red line going through the middle horizontally. And, although she was a human, there were some things that made her stand out, she was 5 foot 10 inches, at least, and her hair, cut just above the shoulders with her bangs clipped back, although black in the dim lighting of the building, was actually a very dark purple, only distinguishable in brighter settings. Only a couple people knew that this was her natural hair color, those who saw her regularly in environments with more light, even if it was just one of the brighter rooms upstairs. Her skin was of the common skin color found on humans across the galaxy, a bright tan, and her nails were black, also natural. But what followed behind her, a little to her right, made even the bravest of those present feel fear, an IG series assassin droid, with a black paint job and red sensors that could move independantly of one another, to scan for threats, scanning the room, silently threatening anyone who dared look it in the eye, standing at 6 and a half feet, it towered over nearly everyone except the Trandoshan that stood in the corner of the room, which gave a silent nod upon making eye contact, as the two had a mutual respect for one anothers race, most sentiant IG droids admired the Trandoshans ability to hunt down their prey, and many Trandoshans respected the effectiveness and proficiency of the IG droids. The droid also carried a blaster rifle, but this one was special. It had a short barrel, small stock, and a grip a couple inches from the end of the barrel, obviously made for close range encounters, but people who knew the weapons design knew it''s more sinister abilities, capable of multiple types of munitions, and the ability to be reassembled with attachments for different purposes. A skilled user can shift it from a close quarters rifle to a sniper rifle in a little under thirty seconds. But this is a very rare model, very expensive to make and maintain, it costs about the same as lower end civilian space faring ships, requiring extra training for proper usage and the fact that the special as the special munitions are expensive, as well as being illegial since the Republic was in power and only being avaliable on the black market, it was never mass produced. This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it. The droid and the human walked to the bar and no one dared draw attention to themselves, and only spoke in a whisper. this was due to both past experience and reputation. Her droid was extremely loyal, and was not a fan of people talking about its boss negatively, and was barely kept at bay by solira telling it that if she did''nt like it that she would take care of it herself. The bartender looked up and unlike the others, smiled when he saw who it was, he was one of the origional crew, and they knew each other well, "Well well well, don''t you look smug, when was the last time you smiled, cause you''ve definetely lost that streak, I was starting to " the old Besalisk was about to contenue until Solira cut him off, " I''ve found it Jambo, and this time, there is no mistaking it." the old man sighed, "That''s what you said last time," "no, those where guesses, shots in the dark, looking for clues, but this time, It is there" "I see, so you''re here to what brag about how wrong I was or something" "No, I woundn''t do that to you, okay mabye I would," correcting herself after seeing his blank stare, "But i''m just here to let you and the boss know incase you guys can''t find me Jambo." " Fine, Boss isn''t here though, i''ll leave a note for you though." as she turned to leave, "you don''t have to go alone one of us would go with you if you gave us the chance.", "Yeah sorry, you already know that answer, bye Jambo, and they left without another word" When she was out the door, a look of amusement slowely grew on his face and suddenly called out, "Hey Rick, how good is that Twi''lek brat at hiding" "really good, actually, uuuuhhhhmmmm, where is she though," the man stopped looking around and started staring at Jambo, "Jambo, don''t tell, me that she did that" Jambos eyes started twinkling and is he could smile, he definetely would be right now, "don''t worry, she''ll be fine" groans and looks of disbelief flooded the room and people began to fear for the young girl, but Jambo never lied, so they were relieved somewhat What happened was, while everyone was fixated on the bar and Soliras conversation with Jambo, the young Twi''lek snuck right out the door and to a certain ship, Solira''s ship. Problem Okay, so, I need some help, I can''t decide what type of ship to give her, or what to name it, so i need ideas. t has to be a freighter, about the size of the Millenium Falcon, so please send ideas for a ship and name, whether it be cannon, EU, or your own creation (which I will credit), but if you do give your own ship, describe it please. I will finish the next chapter as soon as I get some good ideas. A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
