    I guess I''ll just continue along this path a while and see where it leads. 2 hours later he finally reached the end of the tunnel a giant black door was blocking his way and he could not open it if he wanted. It was then that he noticed a trail of blood following it he noticed an ancient looking old man, reminded him of professor Dumbledore of of Harry Potter robes and all but black eyes instead of blue. Hmmm seems it''s still a little nervous so edward just took a bite then tossed it to the pup. Having seen the young man eat it the pup went and darted towards the food and gobbled it nearly instantly. It then went towards Edward with longing units eyes. Ah still hungry little one here take this. Let me see do I have a bowl ah it''s a bit nice but I can always wash it later. Taking out a nice ceramic bowl, ( fine dish like china) he then proceeded to pour water from his canteen into it then to show the pup it wasn''t anything to worry about he drank from it then put it on the ground. The pup then dashed forward to it and began to drink. Poor thing what happened to you did you loose your family somewhere. Almost as if it understood him it began to growl. Hmm well you can come with me if you want said Edward. And it gave a happy yelp then continued to drink from the bowl. I wonder would it let me pet it and edward slowly reached out to it. Not paying attention the pup unintentionally allowed itself to be petted. As Edward was petting the pup he wasn''t paying attention to it and didn''t realize it was about to nip him. Ouch thought edward and looked down to see a small drop of blood come from his hand. But what was weird was the coin in his storage came out automatically and floated in front of them both along with a blue transparent screen. Do you wish to form a contract with mutated blood wolf, female. Edward clicked yes with his finger witch looked weird because it just passed right through. Huh wonder if it worked and with a bright light the pup began to glow bright red it then came and nuzzled Edward and barked towards the blue screen. Ah its asking for a name, hmm let''s see your red so I''ll name you scarlet howser that wood , she seems happy enough with it. Well let''s go scarlet, but as he was about to take the ship out of storage he noticed scarlet looking like she wanted to take him somewhere. Alright girl let''s go I can always flee and with that he headed off.


    About a mile later edward noticed a major battle going on or the ends of it anyway. Thousands of dead it appeared he couldn''t count half of them were armor like his but with a symbol on it looked like a flame. And with a boom the conflict seemed to finish the remainder of both sides was blasted away. None from the side wearing his armor moved again. Did both sides finish each other off. And further away he noticed one moving person. Barely moving he saw the person attempting to crawl but then stopped as if dead. So deciding the conflict was probably over he decided to take a look, taking a sword out of his storage space poof. Just in case he thought, not noticing two persons in the other style of armor further away... ah this couldn''t have worked out better all the useless grunts dead and our holy lady soon to join hehe that bitch always stuck up ( one sided point of view) well time to take the the news back of her death as well as a recording of the battle I was told not to interfere after all. And woosh the two dissapeared .. approaching the now not moving cultivator he proceeded to remove the helmet... . Ah with a slap the woman with silver hair attempted to slap him and boy did it hurt. But because all her strength was gone no major damage happened to him otherwise he would have died ( powerful cultivator) .relax I mean no harm edward said but the lady just puked a mouth full of vomit and blood and passed out then and there. Ah such a beautiful girl about to die what to do. Ah I wonder if that would work. Pulling the gold vile out he attempted to pour the contents down her throat but it wouldn''t go down. Ah I can only try this method next, taking a swig himself he then approaches her and begins to slowly release the contents from his mouth down her throat ( ie kissing) . Slowly the potion goes down her throat, and she begins to open her eyes. Confused by the situation she doesn''t know how to react.


    Wasn''t I dying she thought poisoned by my step sister left to die after the blast why do I feel as if I''m no longer injured. Looking around as much as she could without alarming the man she then saw a vile of gold, with just a little remaining potion in it. The shock she then received was near to much to bear ah high quality healing potion can cure most poisons but legendary. Why would my enemy waste such a thing on me, ah guess he values my beauty. Very well my sect left me for dead and he wasted such a potion on me so be it with but a thought she began to merge their dow energies, huh a weakling she gasped how did he survive. .. seeing a blue screen in front of him again he clicked yes without reading it, foolish thing to do. And... finally she felt a connection between her dow and his and slowly sat up. She then proceeded to kneel and kowtow witch shocked Edward because he was after all from America not Japan or other countries that might do that sort of greeting. After she finished she then proceeded to kiss edward. This action greatly shocked him having no real relations with women before he proceeded to stop her. This action puzzled her, why did my husband stop me from kissing him she then proceeded to kowtow in apology but was stopped by him again. You need not do that for me young lady I merely wished to save your life there hax been to much death today so I only did what I could since we are unrelated you may go about your business. Hearing this she then began to cry , why is she crying he thought but soon she answered his question through sobs. Emily then noticed a small red blurred come out of nowhere and stand menacingly in front of edward as if protecting him. Growling at her it then proceeded to grow in size as it had and still was absorbing the blood essence of the dead in the area, it quickly turned the size of a full grown mastiff. Edward then proceeded to pet scarlet and said calm down girl she is now with us apparently my wife and so scarlet then proceeded to shrink in size till back to her puppy size. Huh a changeable form oh dear my husband is sure capable for being weak. What do you mean dear, nothing she said with a slight smile. Well let''s go around and check for storage rings dear then we will leave alright , 15 min later the 2 met and Edward took out the flying ship. Huh how do you have this dear she said dying him a little warily. Oh something I just happened to get today for saving an old man dear oh ok but before we get about 3 miles from a city we need to put this away.     3 days later they reached the market of 4 miles outside the capital city. With a buzzing sound in the ship betty said rise and shine we are here just outside the capital city. That there though is a golden mammoth class 4 beast and even usable in battles but would be wasteful they are very rare. Ahh yes dear thanks for the info. Approaching g the gate the guard eyed Edward but when he got to his wife he felt a chill go down his spine, one gold coin for entrance fee to the city he said and before Edward could pay Emily took out a gold coin from her pocket and handed it to the guard. They then walked to a back room where she told them to wait for a minute. Not understanding anything he goes and says but she is right here on my lap he said, the lady became startled but then looked toward the creature but sighed that dear is just a wolf pup not a blood wolf were going to have to give you a demerit for causing such CV h a ruckus in the guild with your tall tales, but before she could leave she suddenly felt a chill down her spine and a massive blood thrust from behind her. Scarlet was pissed she could understand human language and new her master was being doubted so she had left off his lap and began to grow back to the size of a mastiff and even released her newly acquired blood essences from that battlefield. Quickly the lady turned around prepared to fight whatever was threatening her but her legs soon gave way and she even peed herself what she was staring at now was considered a class 7 beast although small now but still very frightening. Scarlet calm down girl edward said and patted her fur to get her to calm down, she then began to shrink back down to puppy size and proceeded to lay on Edward''s lap. Recovering from her momentary confusion she seemed even more puzzled and the next minute one thought occurred to her, sir is that a mutated blood wolf she asked. Edward responded saying yes is that a problem, um not by itself but we will register you know I apologize for doubting you sir she then left the room in a flash.

Quickly redressing her appearance she went to leave but emily stood in the doorway. The manager then went and handed edward his adventurers card, I have started you off as rank 3 please don''t disappoint me I have also placed your home city as this city of Graceland so if you feel you need to change it you can do it later. Nope I''m good with that and thanks is that all I have to do miss um I did not catch your name, its mrs Poppins dear so if you need anything else talk to fiona here. The card has a connection with our bank so if you complete quests it will automatically go into your account it also stored information on you such as new skills and completed and failed quests. Thanks mrs poppins. Well dear let''s head out I want to go check some missions, you go dear and take scarlet with you I have some things to discuss with these two. Very well dear.


    As soon as the door closed the temperature in the room dropped drastically and poor fiona seemed to get the bulk of it. Mrs poppins asked um miss what can we do for you, first I will need my adventurers card reissued, um very well name please with a smirk she then said, maiden name Emily Darkcloud she said ,and both miss poppins and fiona seemed to freeze at this, um come again dear you said your name was, must I repeat myself said Emily rather coldly um no just that um never mind you said maiden name ma''am yes you can re issue the card as Emily Hobbitz and mrs poppins was even more shocked um but he was so weak dear how did you end up marrying a weakling like him and no sooner had she said that than mrs poppins felt a chill down her spine. Never insult my husband I don''t care about the pup but if I hear such words from your mouth or anyone else''s there will be consequences. Yes mrs hobbits I''ll issue your card right away. Leave the elf here for a moment I won''t kill her, and looking apologetically at fiona poppins left the room in a hurry. Mrs poppins now entered the room with Emily''s new adventurers card and said here you go ma''am sorry for the trouble. Taking the card Emily then went to the job board area. Did you get everything settled dear yes I just had them reissue my adventure card since were husband and wife I felt it prudent to change my last name. Taking a mission appropriate for rank 3 herb gathering the two then left the adventurers guild...... .

 Chapter 2

    Are you ok fiona asked mrs poppins or so cold still she said through chattering teeth. Hear dear have some hot chocolate I had it prepared earlier. What happened dear she asked, stupid jealous woman she is. Though he seems nice the two don''t match at all fiona seamed a little down. The puppy was so cute to and playful it''s a shame that angry woman came and took them both away she said as she drank the hot chocolate.

She entered into the kitchen and started to head to the back ah the wine she stayed allowed what is this crap and started throwing the bottles around.     Ah this should be appropriate glancing around just to be certain she poured a vile of her daughters poisoned blood she picked up from the battlefield and stired it evenly into the soup, there now no one will know she said to herself it does take over a day to begin showing signs after all. With him dead and them not transferred ownership I don''t know what to do.


    At this moment the guild leader came through her office door. Good day miss poppins I''ve just received a bit of interesting information from a slave that was in a cell next to that poison serpent. I doubt it would help the situation much mr gruntz, said ms poppins. That''s were your wrong dear if this information. Is true it will change everything.


    What do you mean by that mr grunts. Well the slave was understandably scared caged next to that thing. The point mr grunts please... . Well apparently the creature had been bound by the slave seal as well, come again she said shocked. Hehe I knew you''d be interested. It appears she saw who I believe is Edward Hobbitz enter the cage of his own free will and undid the serpents slave seal. That''s not possible she said he was only level 1 when he entered the city.     As ms poppins entered the nobles district in her carriage she couldn''t help think of the implications of this matter if it were true. Oh I feel another sleepless night. Approaching the house that was listed on there form form permanent address she couldn''t help but be amazed. Must be nice to be rich she thought and playing adventurer. When she approached the gate she found it was not guarded or locked, strange.


    She then proceeded to the front door of the. Manor. Knock knock went the door knocker but no one came, she then decided to turn the door knob it wasn''t locked either.


    Did something happen to them she thought worriedly. Entering the house she was then greeted by the strange site of edward running down the stairs in his underpants. Ms poppins blushed red.


    Ah so sorry ms poppins I was umm taking care of my wives he said with a blush no worries dear I''ve seen worse situations, how come you don''t have guards as t the gate or a butler to answer the door, its unsafe leaving such a house unlocked, even in this district. Ah sorry um I was distracted I''ll talk to the wives about that this evening after they rest up hehe.

Um whatever could I help you with ms poppins I''m only level 1. Oh its come to our attention through investigating the earlier incident that you managed to break the slave seal on the poison serpent a lev 8 beast as far as we know.

Um it''s rather embarrassing to say this but my wife emily has placed me under house arrest for a week due to me partaking in that umm other matter.

    Back at the guild office ms poppins was drawing up a couple quests let''s see... . I need at least 2 level 5 cultivators to guard his gate and a dozen or more carriages to ferry the slaves to his house oh this is going to cost a fortune, oh and the guild master has already approved his rank up to lev 5 if he can do this it shouldn''t be a problem, hehe soon I''ll be free to bad the young man turned me down guess he''s to busy with his wives.

    Early the next mourning edward was roused out of bed despite two of his wives using him as a hug pillow. Ah this is the life, what the hell is going on outside for it to be so noisy.


    Edward then noticed a middle aged man in his house and was quite startled. Do not be alarmed said the man my name is mr felix and ms poppins has arranged for me to take care of things while she sends in the slaves to be freed.


    Ah that would make sense, I guess this is what it meant that she would take care of it. You also have one level 5 cultivator guarding the gate 24 hrs a day sir for as long as it takes to complete this task, she has also notified me that upon completion you will be ranked up to level 5 adventurer, she says this should take care of your issue and wanted me to add and I quote hehe.

Good day mr edward she said my name is Anastasia and my father happens to be a rather well off merchant. If you can remove this slave seal I''m sure he would reward you handsomely she said. Ahh you need not worry about that young lady I have money apparently so if you feel like it you and any of the others may donate it to an orphanage or something.


    What''s an orphanage mr. edward, ah it''s a place were orphaned children are raised until they become adults my town had one. They took in many children of soldiers that died. Really said Anastasia that sounds nice. Normally orphaned children slowly just die here I will have to notify my father of this idea. But what happened to the kids when they grew up she asked. Well the state funded training for them, some finished education and others we t to be soldiers. That''s quite incredible.. well all done Anastasia. Really it didn''t hurt at all.


    Leaving Edward''s mansion Anastasia took out the photo of him it''s a pity he''s taken she thought. But the orphanage idea isn''t bad we can raise them cheap and train them in basics in cultivation when they grow up they will be extremely loyal to our merchant house. Ah edward your practically a saint how can a man like you exist in this cutthroat world.
