《Godling》
Chapter 1
In a small little two-room apartment a man is getting ready bed. He''s five feet tall with a skinny build and bright blue eyes.
With his head resting against his pillow he drifted off into deep sleep.
During the night a power outage occurred leaving his apartment building without power well into the night.
He woke up to the sound of his phone, he was late for work and his boss was pretty pissed off.
Rushing without grabbing a bite to eat he quickly changed and was out the door.
He worked at the local corner store and it wasn''t enough money so he also had to get a job as a garbage man during the summer when his boss is out on vacation with his wife.
Back at the apartment his lights flicker on and off before completely shutting off. After a couple minutes they turn on again while slowly becoming brighter before popping with a burst of bright blue light.
One by one the lightbulbs pop heading in the direction of his bedroom. Before the lights could pop in his bedroom a wisp of blue light jumps from the lightbulb into the computer.
His computer starts to shake as it turns on with an low humming noise. The computer screen turns blue with a bunch of weird symbols flying across the screen before transitioning into the word uploading.
After returning home he went to go turn on the kitchen lights but they didn''t turn on, same with the bathroom lights. Annoyed he makes his way towards his room and finds his computer turned on.
"What''s this..."
On his screen was a notification alerting him to a new program installed onto his computer. With a little bit of searching he found the program in plain sight.
"...Godling..."
With a quick search on the internet nothing showed up for the program godling. After a bit of thinking he clicked on the program to see what it was.
"If it screws up my pc it was about time to get a new one..."
He was greeted with a grayscreen, after a couple of seconds a black dot appeared in the center of the screen and started to draw in all the gray.
It took about five minutes before the black dot--now the size of tennis ball--to finish absorbing all of the grey. But when it did, with a burst of light the black dot exploded into cloudy like mist full of all types of colors.
"Huh?"
Piece of the black dot scattered all through out the mist and started to absorb the surrounding mist before turning into a myriad of stars.
While he continued to observe more and more mist was used to form more and more stars. The left over mist was used to form an unimaginable amount of celestial bodies that either crashed into each other or started orbiting the stars, and for some it was both. This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon.
Where the black dot once was now lies a huge black hole. It draws in the surrounding stars that are too close and shreds them to pieces. What''s left over is sucked up into the black hole, from one of the stars a piece of the black dot is drawn to the center of the black hole.
Onvm it reached the center the strength of the black hole grew while decreasing in size a bit.
You have witnessed the end of the age of chaos.
Let it be known that the age of Mythos has begon!
"Mythos?"
And he continued to observe his screen.
Slowly, under the effects of the pull from the black holein the center of the world, a spiral galaxy with thee spirals took shape.
In all honest it was a beautiful scene depicting the birth of a world.
His screen zoomed in to a solar system around the middle of one of the spirals. It had four terrestrial planets orbiting ahuge bright red star.
Choose a planet to look after
"No harm done, might as well see what this does before i go buying a new pc..."
Moving his cursor to the planet closet to the star and clicking on it showed the planet on fire.
"Definitely not this one..."
Moving his cursor to the second closet to the star and clicking on it showed him the planet almost completely covered in lava with volcanoes spewing even more lava.
Planet Name: Unkown
Difficulty Rating: 5 Stars
Life expectancy: Less then 1 Star
"So choosing this one is pretty much like some sort of hardcore mode..."
Curious he moved his cursor to the planet farthest from the star and clicked.
Planet Name: Unkown
Difficulty Rating: 5 Stars
Life expectancy: Less then 1 Star
It was pretty much a planet sized chunk of ice, what made it worse was the fact that it had no form of layers to keep out the freezing temperatures of space.
"Welp, that just leaves one planet left..."
Moving his cursor to the last planet he loiledslightly disappointed when all it showed was a piece of barren rock.
Planet Name: Unkown
Difficulty Rating: 3 Stars
Life expectancy: 2 Stars
"Why is it still so difficult?"
Moving his cursor over the sun gave him the answer.
Chaos star
A seed of chaos lies within the center of this star. It acts as a gateway to the realms of chaos, periodically brings of chaos are able to use this seed to cross over into the mundane realm.
Releases an energy that is hard to control in its base form.
"This seed is a piece from that dot..."
Continuing on this little adventure he moves back to the only planet in this solar system that has really any chance of life and double clicks.
Do you wish to choose this rock as your planet?
"...sure, why not, not giving me any of their option here."
And with one more click he confirmed the planet as his.
His screen focused on the barren planet while digging up the space surrounding it. After a couple of seconds a list of options appeared before him.
As your planet is void of life your options are limited.
? Summon astroid
? Sleep
"The hell kind of options are these!"
? Summon astroid - creates a pull on nearby asteroids towards your planet
? Sleep - a form of hibernation for godling''s, you will temporarily sleep while passing time.
"So so far all I can do is summon some asteroids and then sleep to pass time..."
With a look of boredom he activated [summon astroid] and then activated [Sleep].
It didn''t take long for his screen to turn black and a prompt appeared allowing him to choose how long he wanted to sleep, with nothing better to do he set it so that it would sleep until he manually stops it.
With nothing else to do he got up from his computer and changed into comfy cloths. Already a couple hours passed and he had work tomorrow so it didn''t take long for him to fall asleep.
Chapter 2
For the next couple of days the man was just working, he got up in the mornings and left for work only to rexurbhome and quickly and fall asleep.
And for those couple of days the game godling was like a faint memory, he neither cared nor worried about the game and he quickly forgot about the game.
His planet was left unattended for those days. Influenced by [Summon asteroid]many asteroids set their corse for the planet. Each asteroid held a wide verity of materials that now belonged tothe planet.
After multiple collisions with the summoned asteroids the planets rotation increased and it moved slightly closer to the chaos star increasing the difficulty rating to [4 Stars]. The temperature also rized significantly fromthe surface beingcovered in volcanoes spewing lava that covered the planet.
Time flowed differently for godlings, and when one sleeps time flows at an even faster pace.
Over the days that he forgot about the game not only did the planet go through many years of slowly restabilizing itself, but the seed opened a portal large enough for a couple of chaos dragons to getthrough.
It was a small group of five chaos dragons and their size was relatively normal. Their scales were a deep grey and they released a chaotic energy that curropted the surrounding space.
After crossing into the mortal plain they split up and went to different planets, one chose the frost planet while another decided to make its home within the flames of the chaos star. The remaining three chose to make a home for themselves on his planet.
After making their homes, the surrounding areas slowly became curropted from constant contact with chaos energy.
Over the years they breed and laid a couple of eggs but they didn''t seem to care about them as most of the time they would just eat the eggs, but a few were able to survive after being forgotten, and or lost by the chaos dragons.
For reasons unkown four of the dragons quickly regrouped and flew in random directions, almost as if they were fleeing from the solar system. The last dragon was caught in a deep slumber, she would not wake to anything and just slept inside a volcano.
As she continued to sleep the graycolor from the her scales slowly faded away to show a deep crimson hidden beneath. As the color of gray faded away to a deep crimson the surround temperature of the planet continued to rise.
Throughout the whole transitionshe slumbered, she would stir every now and again but would quickly relaxe and return to deep slumber. With her transformation complete the volcano she made her home progressively became taller and wider. Thelava that escaped from it stayed a deep crimson for a couple of years before cooling down.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
"Maybe I should check on it now, it''s already been a couple of days..."
Turning on his pc he was greeted by a black screen, after a bit of searching around he found the prompt asking him if he wanted to "wake up".
When he clicked yes the current state of his planet shocked him.
"It''s only been a couple of days and now it''s completely covered in volcanoes..."
He took a look around his planet and everything seemed normal besides the giant volcano that towarded pretty high compared to the others.
Moving his cursor over the volcano just told him it was mysterious volcano. Looking at his options he saw that he now had a couple more options to choose from.
? Summon asteroid
? Mineral rich asteroid - asteroids that carry a wide verity of minerals in varying amounts
? Ice asteroid - chunks of ice floating through space
? Purify - this will help clean the chaos energy that find its way towards your planet
? Sleep
"Welp, nothing i can really do about it besides maybe summoning some ice asteroids."
After using [Summon asteroid - ice] a couple of times as well as [Summon asteroid - mineral] he took some time to think before confirming [Purify]just in case before activating sleep mode.
[Purify] has a wide range of effects but took a long time to reall make a difference. It slowly healed the damage done by the chaos dragons as well as effect the crimson dragons transition.
The fading rate of gray to crimson increased slightly and she no longer stirred every now and then. It also had a stronger effect on the unborn dragons within the dragon eggs. They were slowly cured of their corruption and their shells seemed to shine a bit brighter then before.
It was also able to filter the chaos energy released from the chaos star that found its way to his planet. It was a long process but as it continued the chaos energy continued to be filtered and changed into other kinds of energy.
News channels around the world were covering the story of unnatural power outages all around the globe happening around the same time during the night.
Some believed it may be terrorists planning something and others blamed it on curropt organizations, but after a couple more days past it was quickly forgotten.
On the other hand the internet was abuzz with the new game taking the internet by storm. The game couldn''t be installed online but overtime more and more people turned on their pc to find it already on their computers.
Those who played it quickly got attached to the charming game that allowed you to look after a planet and it''s inhabitants.
It didn''t take very long for some simple guides and dedicated website to be made form users of the game.
Theory''s about the game was also circulating around the internet, like why did it just show up out of no where, and why could it not be installed online.
Their were even a couple theory''s connecting it to the freak power outages happening around the globe.
For those who didn''t have the game, it was hard for them to understand all the buzz about it, and for some reason no one is able to get any recordings or screenshots for the game causing more suspicion.
After a couple of years a group of asteroids summoned by [Summon asteroid] found its way towards the planet. This time it was different, too many asteroids were hitting the planet either at the same time or just seconds after.
From constant collisions a piece of the planet broke off and was stopped from flying away by the gravity of the planet, instead it now orbited the planet.
This time a bunch of the asteroids carried single celled organisms within them, many were frozen inside the ice asteroids and quickly died, or had already been dead and became food for the others. Because of the high temperatures many of them ended up dying in the end.
Even so, many were still able to survive the temperature or adapted quickly multipling while aand thriving in places where they could survive. With the addition of a bunch of gasses from the evaporated ice asteroids a basic atmosphere slowly formed.
Chapter 3
In a room filled with elves a young elf kneeled before a group of elves sitting around a crescent table that sparkled with a mystifying sliver light.
"I''ve come to report the situation of the battle field elders!" His voice was filled with reverence and he was squirming with nervousness.
"What is it then, we don''t have all day!" A dark skinned elf looked at the young elf with a look of impatience and annoyance.
"General Daymin believes that the battle is a pointless fight, he says that they will only be able to hold for at best another month, less then three weeks at worst."
The young elf continued to squirm in fear of angering the elder.
sigh
"It is as we thought, our people aren''t enough to hold back the army of undead..." A tall golden skinned elf had a sad look on her face.
"Does anyone have any ideas on how to escape from our fate?" A tanned elf looked around the table with hopeful eyes.
"I''m sorry dear, but you know as good as us that our fate is unavoidable by now..." The tall golden skinned elf spoke with sorrow.
"...we might have a way..." A pale blue elf looked around the table before a sigh escaped his lips.
"Our people have been researching a way to escape this mess...but its very risky and not all of us will be able to escape."
"Then what is it?" The dark skinned elf looked at the pale blue elf with a hopeful look.
"It''s a highly secret magic that my people are able to harness, we are able to use the power of the stars and moon to move from one place to another, but so far we never used it to travel between...worlds..." He let his words sink in as a looks of recognition appeared on their faces.
"You seek to escape this mess by leaving our home planet?" The tall golden elf women had a look of astonishment.
"Are you even sure it''s possible?" The dark skinned elf also had a hard time believing the pale blue elf''s words.
"Were not a hundred percent sure and where not able to choose the location we''ll be brought too...but it''s a high possibility it would work."
"And you''ve just been keeping this a secret!" The tanned skinned elf had a look of anger as she accused the pale blue elf.
"It is a secret art of our people, and experience has shown that showing such things lead to ruin..." His words made the elves flustered and look away ashamed as his piercing gaze looked at each one of them.Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit.
"It doesn''t matter now, but we have an escape route, but it is like i said, not everyone will escape and it takes at least a month to get the ritual ready..."
The elder consel continued to discuss plans for escape while their war with the undead progressed.
The planet continued to progress as the years continued to pass, the temperature started to drop and some of the areas of the planet stopped experiencing constant erupting volcanoes.
In some places pockets of water started to form very quickly evaporating over time due to high temperatures. As the process continued to repeat its self the planet continued to cool down until the pockets of water were able to last permanently on the surface of the planet.
The single celled organisms thrived within these oasis''s as they could adapt far easier in a much cooler temperature. If looked at with mortal eyes then all you would see is a pool of water, but hidden beneath was a world of quickly adapting organisms that continued to progress on their journey to becoming multicellular organisms.
The crimson dragon''s continued transformation caused the surrounding area to not only stay covered in ever flowing lava but also continue to rise in temperature. It wouldn''t be long now for her to be completely purified of the curroptive chaos energy.
Some of the dragon eggs actually showed signs of movement inside, every now and then their eggs would shake as if being shoved by the dragon inside the shell. Some of the larger eggs even had a couple shallow cracks.
As all this was happening the energy around the chaos started started to fluctuate sporadically.
The man continued to follow the same routine each day, get up, get dress, and out the door only the return completely exhausted and quickly fall asleep.
As the days continued to pass his condition continued to worsen and for some reason he seemed to be totally oblivious of the current state of his body, until one day he didn''t return home.
Instead a young women entered the apartment and started to look around the place.
"Stupid idiot, didn''t even relize that he was slowly working himself to death..."
After a bit of searching she grabbed some of the mans cloths as well as a laptop hidden underneath the bed. Without her noticing a pale blue light jumped from the mans computer into the laptop.
"He won''t be needing his laptop while he''s hospitalized so i''ll borrow it for now."
And with that she left the apartment.
The planet continued to thrive as the temperature continued to drop while lakes of water could be found all over the planet. Clouds could be seen sprawled all over the sky and some life was able to form on the land surrounding the lakes.
Small patches of flowing green grass could be seen dancing in the wind around the lakes, and life had an easier time developing in the lakes due to bunch of different single celled and few multi celled organisms. Their was even some organisms that started to become more developed, a small fish that thrived in the lush shallow areas, a slightly larger fish that hunted the smaller fish, etc.
In one of the largest lakes on the planet the life held within was around ten times greater the any other lake. During the full moon when enough moonlight touched the surface of the water it flowed with a gentle azure glow.
The life held within the lake held many secrets, from the glowing blue fish found at the bottom of the lake to the aquatic forest they inhabited. Deep within the forest a mysterious creature appeared that kept to itself hidden by the forest.
The only time it showed itself to the lake inhabitants was when a dragon egg found its way at the edge of the lake before returning to the forest.
Chapter 4
All around the planet dark clouds gathered, they collided and merged before forming massive storm clouds that streched all over the planet. Sensing the strange phenomenon the aquatic life in the lakes seemed to flee to the bottem of the their lakes in fear, even the forest at the bottem of the largest lake shook in strange ways.
With a bolt of lightning signifying that start of the event the storm clouds started to release a down poor of water. Over the course of a had pockets of water formed before rapidly expanding and merging with surrounding bodies of water to create massive oceans shallow seas perfect for aquatic life to thrive.
After the year long event the planet was spilt into 6 continents and a multitude of islands that varied in size and shape. The six continents could also be split up into one super continent, two large continents, and three small continents.
From the continuous flow of lava from the crimson dragon''s volcano it''s island quickly became one of the spall continents but was the smallest of the three. Life had a hard tome adapting to the high temperatures but around the edges of the continent life slowly started to take shape in the form of fish that could swim in lakes and rivers of bubbling lava and a type of tree that thrives in high temperatures.
The aquatic forest also had an expansion of its own, covering an area of at lest 3 times greater then the area it covered before year long storm.
After more time passed the continents of muddy soil proved perfect for grass and trees to grow, what started as small patches quickly became wide plains and great forests that covered the entire continent. The mountains left from the time the whole planet was covered in lava helped brake apart the green and added a bit of gray and white.
Each continent quickly became full of vibrant life that was untouched. Great plains that streched fro miles and ancient forests that grew to staggering heights.
The smarter of the aquatic life by the continents noticed the rapid change and couldn''t help but be confused, this was too much for their small minds to understand so they quickly ignored the change and went on their way while only a few choose to move closer to the more lush parts of the water surrounding the continents.
"Elders, we just got news that the defensive line has fallen, the undead will reach our capital in a matter of days!"
A pale blue elf stood before the high consel shaking in fear at the news of their defeat.
"Elder Aiduin, I hope that you''ll be able to speed it up a bit so that we can leave before they get here?" The tall golden skinned elf looked at the pale blue elf with an impatient gaze.
"Yes...but it will still take a day, and doing this will cause our chances of success to shrink and the chance of failure to rise." He looked at every elder one by one getting confirmation before leaving to room in a hurry.
"Were playing with life here...if we don''t escape before they reach us..well die just like every other elf that is currently marching with our enemies." The dark skinned elf looked at the tall golden skinned elf paying close attention to her reaction. This content has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
"Now is not the time elder almar, we must do our parts of the plan, my people will ward the walls to hopefully tide the swarm."
"And my people will lay the battle field with enough traps to possible hold them back half a day at best."
The tanned elf and the tall golden skinned elf got up from their seats and left the room leaving elder almar by himself.
"...If this plan fails, then at least my people have a way out..." As his words echoed through the now empty room he faded into shadows.
After returning home Julie found herself sitting in the living messing around with a laptop on the coffe table in front of her.
"Come on, what did he say his password was again..."
After a bit of trial and error she was able to get in to the laptop.
"Mike and his stupidly long passwords..." After a bit of grumbling and some minor treats she starts to explore what the laptop has to offer.
"...So far nothing that seems mildly interesting, should have figured...wait, what''s this?"
She found a game hidden pretty well in the laptop files called godling, after contemplating whether she should thouch her brother''s game curiosity won out and she opened it.
The opening intro played and she quickly got drawn into the game, after it was finished she was given the option to choose a planet to look after, and after a couple of minutes searching for a what looked to be good planet she confirmed her choice.
Planet Name: Maria
Difficultly rating: 1 Star
Life expectancy: 3 Stars
"What a cute little name..."
The screen focused on the planet and the first thing that caught her attention was the massive tower that shot up into the sky.
Moving her cursor over the tower made her curiosity peak.
God''s Tower
The inhabitants of this world built this tower as a way to commune with their god, but in recent times it is seen as more of a plague then blessing.
"Such a dark description for such a pretty tower..."
The planet was full of life, the inhabitants looked like humans with great white feathered wings that were walking around medieval looking towns and cities.
Observing the fascinating race she quickly lost track of time and day turned to night.
"I think I better shut it down and just look at it tomorrow..."
As she went to power the laptop down she saw a bunch of the planets inhabitants surrounding a small little village next to a large forest.
"People of Hicar village, you have been found to worship the treacherous god, and by the order of her holy ness we shall purge you from this world!"
A man stood before the army surrounding the small village his voice being amplified by something causing his words to echo in the surround area.
After a short wait the man signaled somthing and the army quickly approached the small village.
Some warriors of the village quickly charged towards the small army and fought to by time for the rest of the villagers to try and escape into the forest. After a one sided slaughter the army made way into the village and started working on tearing it down.
"General, do we follow to traitors?" A soilder kneeled before the man that was shouting before.
"It is no use...they surely know the forest like the back of their hand and the children of Krum will surely kill them."
After finishing their destruction of the village they burned what was left and headed back towards their outpost not too far away from the village.
"How sad, why did they kill those innocent people just because of their religion?"
Out of the corner of her eye she found the tab in the corner of the screen label choices and clicked on it.
As you do not own this race you do not have full control over this planet.
Your options are limited.
? Whisper - you can talk to the inhabitants of your world but your words are broken and hard to understand.
? Message - you are able to contact your followers and have short conversations with them
? Natural disaster - triggers a random natural disaster in the area you choose
Little update
Okay, sorry about just disappearing for a while I''ve just been busy with school work. Last week my transition from public school to online school finished and so I had to quickly learn what to do and I''m still learning things even now.
I was gonna write this for the next chapter but it''s taking longer then I would like it too cause of school. I try to write for edit bits of the chapter over a couple days so that my brain gets new ideas to make the chapter better but that doesn''t help now that I spend most of my day doing school. The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
I am gonna continue writing like that, a bit at a time and until I get used to online school and or focus writing on the weekends then the chapters will take longer to write.
Chapter 5
"These are my only options..."
She looked between her options and the group of people doing their best to escape farther into the spooky looking forest.
Creatures would occasionally be attracted to the noise and attack the group injuring them slightly every time.
"What can I don''t with these options."
She continued to observe the group on their journey through the forest and soon an idea piped into her mind.
"Maybe...but will it work, but it''s a bit...risky?"
With one final look at the group of people she gave in and helped the group of people before closing the laptop and going to bed.
Fear.
For days their group has been traveling through the forest doing their best hoping to make it through to the other side. A feat never before accomplished by even the strongest warriors during the peak of their little town.
Ever sense the appearance of the beast spirit monsters took over the forests making journing through forests a challenge for most. Even the sky''s, something of a second home to their race was sealed off by the air born monsters.
Legends say that when the spirit beast Lune appeared the world itself protested against its will. Many inhabitants did their best to defeat the spirit but in the end only the angles survived by hiding high up until even that became impossible.
As they continued their journey in what they believed was a straight line the trees moved in unnatural ways causing the group to pause. All around then the trees moved in an unseen wind forcing the group to the ground.
Confused all they could do was watch helplessly as the wind continued to pick up until they were completely surround in a dome of roaring wind.
"What the hell!"
Stuck on the ground the watches as the sky turned a sickly gray color, and with a echo of thunder a storm like none other started. Occasionally lightning strikes could be seen but to where they landed no one knew.
All around them it looked as if the world itself was coming to an end.
The planet was experiencing a golden age, all over the planet life thrived, the offspring of many animals changed under the influence of large amounts of mana. With each passing year the planet slowly became the very embodiment of abundant. This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.
The birds carried the seeds of rare plants all around the world forming beautiful landscapes, and soil creatures helped keep the soil rich for life to thrive while nature kept the air, soil, and water clean.
It was a rare sight but ever so often an animal would show signs of using the magic around them. A bird could use magic to escape with a quick burst of speed, aquatic life can use water in many ways suiting their needs and the life on the crimson dragon''s island seemed to inherently use magic to survive in the high temperture continent.
Under the influence of many causes the planet itself seemed to evolve. The air changed slightly, the oceans calmed, the earth warmed slightly and the life all over the planet experienced a growth spurt.
The planet formed a weak will, it wasn''t very strong but it grew with each year that passed until it matured. Deep beneath the surface it started to toy around with earth that shone with magic.
As the years continued to pass it formed a massive cavern connected to a bunch of cave systems that reached the surface and went deeper beneath the earth. The cavern was full of humanoid shapes made out of the earth that shone with magic.
After admiring its work it decided to go a step farther. Using the abundant amount of magic held within the body of one of the lifeless humanoid shaped stone it formed a soul based off the other life it examined.
Above one of the body a brown orb of light slowly formed that gently floated above the body. It was...asleep, it has no way of moving and the will realized that after it continued to float their.
It slowly nudged the spirit awake and helped guide it towards a body of its choosing.
It found one of the very first vessels it created, one that was covered in moss and some simple plant life. It gave off a burst of excitement and flew into the body to merge with it.
As it did this it drew on the abundant magic inside the body to start forming a new soul.
After fusing with the body it opened its "eyes" for the first time and looked around the cavern memorized by the view.
Their was a small pond in the center of the cavern, moss that sparkled grew from the ceiling of the cavern and all over the place mushroom grew. The cavern has a bunch of caves leading to who knows where and towards one end the ground rose leading up to a forest growing underground.
The will did all it''s experiments her which ended up in an underground forest full of life.
The chaos energy released from the chaos star slowly condensed into a misty cloud that released an ominous aura. Deep within the mist a tear in the very fabric of space formed causing the surrounding space to collapse in on itself.
The tear faught a soundless battle doing its best to keep open, the being in the other side became impatient and forcefully widened the tear at the price of injuring its paws.
After a couple minutes of tug of war the surround space calmed enough for the being to step through the tear in space.
As quickly as it opened it didn''t take very long to close. The mist quickly shrunk in on itself being sucked into the tear before closing after all the misty substance was gone.
The being was a pitch black panther.
It''s fur was an inky black color and it''s eyes flowed with a fierce blood red light. It had four paws that ended sharp metallic claws that shone brightly in the light from the sun. It had a white star pattern on its chest that glowed every so often.
Its eyes landed on the thriving planet and it quickly grew excited while growling soundlessly. All it could do was nudge itself to start floating towards the planet, it had no power to move in space like other being so it was forced to just slowly float towards the planet.
For a being from the chaos realm it was completely powerless while in space, It would take a while before it would reach the planet but that didn''t stop it from pointlessly trying to speed up his journey.
Chapter 6
"Hey Mike, mom told me that the are doctors have you stay with mom for a week or two until you get better...so I just wanted to leave this voice mail to tell you that I''m borrowing your laptop you keep hidden under your bed, thanks!"
His eyes twitched ever so slightly as he finished listening to his little sister''s voicemail.
"Hey mom, Julie said that next time she''s here to remind her she has to do the chores list she has on her desk!"
''I''m sure she wouldn''t mind doing a couple chores right, maybe do the dished, clean the toilets, sweep and mop the floor.''
~{<> <>}~
"Yawn. Hey mom, any news on...that?"
After being hospitalized for overworking myself I was now being forced to "take it easy" for a week or two before "jumping back into things".
"No honey, doctors said it''d be about a week before the tests come back."
My mom was the strongest person I know in my life, when my little sister was born my dad ended up dying about a year after leaving my mom to do her best to no only make money so we could live, but also find time to greeve without us knowing.
"...Do you think...its the same thing that killed dad?"
Mom stood frozen with a basket of laundry in her hands before turning away from me and heading towards the laundry room, she decided to ignore the question.

Finally.
After years of floating in space, it got close enough to let gravity do its job, as it breached the atmosphere its inky black fur caught on fire.
During its free fall it got a good look at where it would crash, rolling hills and peaceful forests, a river flowed through the hills before collecting at the base of a large mountain forming a picturesque lake.
It crash-landed near the lake leveling the surrounding area, the rolling hills became flat ground, the peaceful forest was destroyed by the rocks sent flying from impact, the lake was flowing into the crater it made destroying the picturesque scene from before. The genuine version of this novel can be found on another site. It looked around in excitement, after years of living off its own energy it could enjoy the taste of blood again. Exiting the crater it formed it headed towards the destroyed forest, there was bound to be food for it there.
Many bodies lay sprawled on the ground, the flying stones killed quite the number of animals allowing the beast to feast. After three days and four nights, it returned to the crater to rest for a while. During the impact it ended up opening a couple of old wounds causing blood to flow from them, it ignored the pain and laid at the center of the crater.
~{<>?<>}~
It was woken up by the sound of movement close by, an old habit it formed after living within the plain of chaos.
During its sleep, the crater became full of water, on the edge of the crater, there was an animal drinking from the crater while totally unaware that it was staring at it.
Instead of killing the thing it decided to go back to sleep, it was too lazy to get up from such a comfortable place.

The lion left the lake without even realizing that it could have been killed without even knowing how. This wasn''t the first time it drank from the lake, a lot of animals fought over the lake with its pride claiming ownership of the lake.
Those who drank from the lake changed over time, their size grew, and along with with it their strength. Those who drank enough from the lake were even able to do unimaginable feats that would never have been possible before.
