《Letter B Above Hell》 Chapter 7: The Price of a Man

Chapter 7: The Price of a Man

Two weeks on the road passed before they arrived at Highrock Town. They walked through the gates and the people around looked at them distastefully. ¡°Mother, why do they look at us like that?¡± Kram asked. ¡°Is it our clothes?¡± Kram did notice that they had different clothes. He and the villagers wore simple tunics and some men even just wore pants, leaving themselves topless. While the people of Highrock wore more complex items of clothing that Kram was more used to than when he was reincarnated. ¡°No,¡± Oka said. ¡°It is because we our skin is darker than theirs.¡± ¡°Why¡¡± Kram said. A man stood in their way. He had a potbelly stood in their way. His brown eyes shone with greed as he looked at Kram and the villagers. ¡°What are you people doing here?¡± The man said. ¡°Our village was attacked by demons and¡¡± One of the men said. ¡°So you fools led a horde of demons here?¡± the man said. ¡°No one followed us here,¡± another said, losing patience with the man. ¡°How do you know? You¡¯re not smart enough to make sure you are not followed!¡± ¡°We were not followed¡¡± Oka began. ¡°I was not talking to you, wench!¡± the man said, creating a magical whip and making to strike Oka. Kram grabbed onto the whip, stopping it from striking his mother while he glared at the man. He tried to pull back the whip but it Kram did not allow him, keeping his stare intense. ¡°L-Let go!¡± he said, trying to pull the whip again and failing. ¡°Please sir,¡± the Medicine Woman said. The whip vanished in Kram¡¯s hands. ¡°All we are looking for is shelter.¡± The Medicine Woman said. ¡°You want to stay here?¡± the man said. ¡°You¡¯ll have to earn your keep.¡± Men surrounded the villagers, armed with weapons and chains.Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. ¡°By being slaves?¡± one of the men said. The man shrugged and laughed. ¡°It is the only way your people can earn their keep.¡± ¡°I refuse!¡± one of the villagers said, infusing the spear with his magic. The three men fought with all their heart. Kriki came close to Kram in fear as their protectors were being taken down. ¡°Kram, what do we do?¡± Kram kept his glare at the laughing man as people around them fell. ¡°For now, we do nothing.¡± Later that day, they were all in chains. Kram made sure to stay close to his mother and Kriki made sure to stay close to him. It had not been a day and they were already being pushed onto the stage. There was a man in front with a bushy moustache that Kram noticed. He could sense the man was very powerful and it seemed the other people knew it as when he walked in, everyone parted to give him way. Kram already recognized his uniform. He was a general of one of the human army factions he had crushed in his past life. The man who had put them in chains, Kram had found out his name was Rei Book, stood next to the man. Whispering things and pointing at the village men. Kram¡¯s mother came up, he tried to follow her but the auctioneer made him stand a little from her. ¡°Now ladies and gentlemen, here is another woman.¡± He said. ¡°She still young, so she is strong enough to do house work and is a mother, so she will be able to take care of your kids while you do more important things with your life. ¡°I¡¯ll give you 300 Shens, for her.¡± Woman said. ¡°I¡¯ll give you 350 Shens!¡± a man said. ¡°400!¡± ¡°450!¡± ¡°600!¡± A man said. Kram¡¯s eyes focused on the man who had brought his mother. He engraved his face into his memory, making sure that he would at least be able to track him when he and his mother split. It was his turn to stand on the stage. ¡°Kram, I¡¯m scared.¡± Kriki said, trying to hold onto him. He freed himself from her grasp and stepped on the platform. He stood proud and glared at the gathered crowd, not hiding his disgust. Considering that he had seen these people bid on his mother like a piece of meat¡ like an imp and that he generally did not like humans from his time as a demon, his disgust was at the highest and they knew. He saw Rei Book smirk and point at him while he whispered to the army general. Kram looked at them both challengingly. The general made his bid. ¡°200 Shems!¡± the general said. There was silence and Kram was already plotting against the general. ¡°300!¡± Kram¡¯s eyes widened. He looked at the bidder and saw the man who had brought his mother bidding for him. The crowd looked at the man in shock. ¡°350!¡± the general said. ¡°500!¡± The man said. The general looked annoyed and turned to leave the crowd. Kram walked to his new would-be-ower and his mother hugged him happily before looking at the men who had brought them. ¡°Thank you for getting my son, sir!¡± Oka said. He smiled and nodded. ¡°Let¡¯s leave.¡± ¡°No,¡± Kram said, before turning to look at the stage. ¡°I want to see this one and the Medicine Woman¡¯s.¡± She looked at Kriki, who was crying on stage. The bid began. Different people were bidding and at one point even the man who had brought him and his mother made a bid. The man sighed in relief when the bid was over. ¡°Now for the medicine woman.¡± ¡°She is not going to be sold.¡± The man said. Kram looked at the man who had brought them. ¡°Why?¡± ¡°She¡¯s too old. No one will buy her.¡± ¡°Then what will happen to her?¡± ¡°She will be let go into the forest to fend for herself.¡± he said. ¡°Your other friend has will be okay. I know the family that brought her. They are good people.¡± Kram walked passed the man. ¡°Do good people keep slaves?¡± Chapter 8: Lin Koln

Chapter 9: Lin Koln

¡°This will be your new room,¡± Lin Koln, said as he showed them an empty room with a simple bed. ¡°Thank you sir.¡± Oka said as she and Kram walked in. ¡°What will be our tasks here.¡± Lin Koln rubbed his chin. ¡°I guess I first have to explain what you are to me.¡± ¡°You probably think you are our new master.¡± Kram said. ¡°Kram!¡± Oka admonished. ¡°It is fine,¡± Lin said. ¡°No, I am not your master but if people ask, for your safety say I am. You are my labourers who owe me a debt.¡± He explained. ¡°You will work on this farm and pay me the money I used to buy you, after that, I¡¯ll pay you¡ if you decide to continue to work. You are allowed to go anywhere you want but avoid Highrock Town at night. The people there are uptight about slaves.¡± ¡°Thank you, Sir.¡± Oka said, not fully understanding. Lin nodded and left. Oka sat down on the bed and Kram sat beside her. ¡°How long do we plan on staying here, Mother?¡± ¡°I don¡¯t know.¡± She said. ¡°This Lin Koln person seems nice. We might settle here.¡± ¡°Oh no you don¡¯t!¡± Kram leapt up and started kicking and punching the air. Oka tilted her head as she stared at her son. ¡°What are you doing, Kram?¡± ¡°The last time someone said I would settle, I settled!¡± Kram made did a flying crane technique. ¡°I am defeating the bad mojo that makes humans settle. I will not settle into someone believing they own me!¡±If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it. ¡°Son, no one will ever own you.¡± Oka said. Kram stopped and looked at his mother. ¡°You are too special to be under anyone¡¯s thumb.¡± Oka said. Kram nodded. ¡°Rest Mother. I¡¯m going to do a little exploring.¡± Kram walked through the field, looking at the dark skinned men and women working all over the farm. He walked further to the edge. He whistled and waited. For a while, there was nothing before a goat¡¯s head peeked up and ran to him. ¡°Two Horns,¡± Kram said as the goat came to his feet where it rubbed against him. ¡°Still alive you bumb animal.¡± ¡°That goat loves you, huh?¡± Kram looked at the woman. She was 19, perhaps 20. Her long hair curled to her shoulders and her cocoa butter skin glistened in sweat, along the exposed part of her neck, belly and legs. She carried a basket of food on her head. ¡°He doesn¡¯t love me,¡± Kram said. ¡°He¡¯s just happy to see a familiar face in the hard times.¡± ¡°You are quite an odd child.¡± She said as she dropped her basket. She offered the goat a beetroot and Kram took one for himself. ¡°What¡¯s your name?¡± ¡°Kram of the Wood.¡± Kram said. ¡°Kram Wood.¡± She said. ¡°Nice to meet you. I¡¯m Loma Lon.¡± ¡°Have you been here a while?¡± ¡°Since I was 12.¡± She said. ¡°What is Lin Koln¡¯s deal.¡± He asked, the beetroot he bit into crunching in his mouth. ¡°Something is up with him.¡± She smiled and shook her head. ¡°Everyone who comes here thinks that. He is what he presents himself to be, a man who buys slaves but has no interest in buying slaves. He brought me, when a pedophile tried to get me at 12, he then brought my father, so that we wouldn¡¯t be separated. He tries to buy families, puts them here and allows us to make a community.¡° ¡°Why does he do it?¡± ¡°Story is that he fell in love with one of his family¡¯s slaves.¡± She said. ¡°He even married the slavegirl. His father found out and sold her off to a crueler master. He went to save her but it was already too late. She was caught trying to escape to get to him and was killed.¡± ¡°That makes more sense. So, he now uses his strength to protect the people who was like his love.¡± ¡°Yes. Slavery is an abomination.¡± ¡°It is natural.¡± Kram said. ¡°The strong will put the weak in chains where they belong. If the weak believe otherwise, then they should fight to prove it. I won¡¯t wait for anyone to save me.¡± Kram began walking away. ¡°Two Horns, come! You have a harem to rebuild and I have to get stronger to get out of here!¡± Chapter 1: The Golden Warrior

Chapter 1: The Golden Warrior

There was shouting, grunting and even crying in the war with humans and demons. The wave of demons surged forward as the humans screamed in horror, as they were being slashed and decayed by Yokai magic. In some cases, they were even being crushed into a bloody paste by one huge demon, wielding a giant hammer which looked normal in his hands. ¡°We can¡¯t win!¡± one human, with the blood of his comrade smeared over his face, cried. ¡°We¡¯ve lost!¡± He stumbled, trying to get away from the wave of demons and their giant soldier. The fleeing man¡¯s face smacked into golden armour, the blood on his face not even smearing the glowing metal. He looked up at the golden haired and blue eyed warrior. ¡°The-The Golden Warrior!¡± the man shouted. ¡°It is unbecoming for you to have such little faith.¡± He said a she withdrew his sword, its golden blade shimmering brighter the higher it was held into the air. ¡°Here, let me give you the faith you need.¡± He leapt over the man and faced the demon horde. The biggest walked out, laughing in glee as all the other demons roared in approval. ¡°This is my chance.¡± The mountain of a demon sneered. ¡°If I defeat the human¡¯s greatest warrior, I¡¯ll be promoted to General even if I have one horn!¡± ¡°Come at me, foul demon.¡± The Golden Warrior said calmly. The demon charged forward, each footstep shaking the ground. The Golden Warrior stood still then vanished from his spot. The mountain of a demon stopped running and stood still as if he was frozen. Behind him, stood the Golden Warrior, his piercing eyes looking at the horde of demons. The mountain demon exploded in golden energy. ¡°He did it!¡± the formerly fleeing man said. ¡°We can do it! We can win!¡± The human army roared as one as they turned back around and charged at the demon horde as the war began once again. Two demons with a single horns looked down at the war from their vantage point. They would see flashes of golden magic and hear the scream of perishing demons. ¡°You know, Ko¡± one of the demons said, ¡°If we can beat the Golden Warrior, we would be the two greatest demons ever! Greater than the Demon Lord himself!¡± ¡°Blasphemy!¡± Ko said. ¡°And anyways Ok, that gold hair fella looks like an OP type. I¡¯m not going near him.¡± A hand grabbed each of the demons and brought their skulls together, causing an explosion of blood, gore and bone. ¡°Pathetic demons!¡± The demon who had just killed his comrades said, wiping the dark red blood on the leather vest of his armour. ¡°Any human who fears a human does not deserve to live!¡± ¡°So¡ savage,¡± the female said, a long tongue licking her lips. ¡°So sexy.¡± The female had a short skirt and a blouse made of armour. She had red skin and two yellow eyes beneath two horns, jutting out from her forehead. Her demon companion looked below with disgust. ¡°So that is the Golden Warrior.¡± His purple eyes glared at the scene below. He had ash grey skin and a small but muscular form covered with simple armour and pants, he too had two horns. The genuine version of this novel can be found on another site. Support the author by reading it there. ¡°He looks formidable,¡± the female said, walking next to him. ¡°He is nothing compared to my master,¡± another said walking up behind him, touching one of his two horns. This one was a large man with muscles and a flowing red cape. ¡°Perhaps Morgit, I guess I¡¯ll find out.¡± She said. ¡°Not before I do!¡± he said, leaping from their vantage point, threatening to blow his companions back. The Golden Warrior kept cutting down demons until one landed not too far from him with a boom. They glared at each other, sensing the threat each posed to the other. ¡°You¡¯re the Golden Warrior?¡± the demon said. ¡°How dare you cut down my men, you human.¡± The Golden Warrior sensed that for the demon, human was insult enough. ¡°I sense you are powerful. Are you the Demon Lord?¡± The demon laughed. ¡°Of course a foolish human would think I am the Demon Lord. My master is stronger than I, however, I am not far off. I am his second in command, you may call me B.¡± ¡°B?¡± The Golden Warrior said. ¡°I have heard of you.¡± ¡°Good,¡± B said as dark energy swirled in his hands, creating two giant broad swords. ¡°Then you know this is your end.¡± B slashed at the Golden Warrior, sending out C-shaped energy at him. The Golden Warrior leapt up, dodging the attack. In the air, his sword shone brightly before he swung it, sending out a giant pillar of golden light at B. He heard the demon scream in horror as the pillar found its mark, creating a giant geyser of gold that shot into the air. He landed on the ground, looking at the endless chasm his sword created. He could see B floating in the air, his body covered in purple energy. ¡°Levitating?¡± He said in surprise. ¡°Yokai magic shouldn¡¯t be able to allow that.¡± ¡°This is not Yokai magic.¡± B said, looking up at The Golden Warrior. His eyes were glowing a solid purple with energy leaking out like smoke. ¡°This is the power of B!¡± B floated up higher into the air, over to the other side of the chasm. He gathered his power, the purple power glowing even brighter. ¡°Now, taste the Power of B!¡± A giant orb of purple energy gathered above the demon¡¯s raised hands. The Golden Warrior gathered his own golden power too. ¡°If I cannot defeat you, then I won¡¯t stand a chance against the Demon Lord.¡± B threw the giant sphere of energy while The Golden Warrior shot out a beam of golden power. The beam met the orb, parting the golden beam into destructive rays. The Golden Warrior breathed . ¡°For my people. And for my world!¡± His body glowed brighter and his hair fluttered in the air as his power output increased, pushing the orb back at B. The demon¡¯s eyes widened in shock. ¡°N-No!¡± he screamed. ¡°I cannot be bested by a filthy human!¡± He gritted his teeth. ¡°This will shave off a decade or two from my life but I will not be beaten by a human!¡± B gave part of his lifeforce and the orb grew bigger. The Golden Warrior was surprised to see that even with all his power, he could no longer move the orb back. The two attacks finally reached their limits and exploded, engulfing the two warriors and expanding the chasm between them. The Golden Warrior woke up. He felt his lifeforce, ebbing away from him. He raised his finger and a sliver of purple energy curled around his finger and sparked at the top. ¡°The Power of B.¡± he said in realization. He had somehow absorbed it and through this, he could see B himself. He was lying on the ground, the demon horde forming a wide circle around him. C approached the demon general. ¡°B, you still alive?¡± ¡°Yes,¡± B said, trying to get up. ¡°Shh¡¡± C used her dainty hands to keep him down. ¡°You¡¯re hurt. Stay here and I¡¯ll give you something for the pain.¡± B grunted as C stabbed him through the heart with a blade made of yokai energy. ¡°Wh-Wh..¡± ¡°Shh, don¡¯t worry, it was all planned.¡± She whispered. ¡°Morgit,¡± B said. ¡°Help me!¡± Morgit turned his back on him. ¡°Why would he help you?¡± she asked. ¡°When your death will give him more power?¡± ¡°The Demon Lord will punish¡¡± ¡°This was the Demon Lord¡¯s idea,¡± she laughed. ¡°He somehow knew that you would fight the Golden Warrior, kill him and have too little energy to defend yourself. He told me to thank you for your service and was sad he could not kill you himself. Goodbye, B, you were fun.¡± Her power input increased. The decaying energy coursed through B and the last thing his rotting eyes saw was the smirk on C¡¯s face before they turned to dust in his skull and the rest of his body followed, leaving behind bones. The Golden Warrior thought of how cruel it was, as he too felt his life ebbing away. ¡°You will be okay!¡± the healer said as they rushed him off the battlefield. He knew it was a lie. This was his last moments on earth and they were sad, for he knew that if he could draw with the Demon Lord¡¯s second in command and still get killed, he had never really stood a chance and without him, the human race was doomed. His eyelids dropped, as he took his last breath and passed on to the afterlife. Chapter 2: The Child God

Chapter 2: The Child God

He woke up to the gentle sound of a stream joining water. His vision was met by a blue sky with puffy clouds lazily floating by. He sat up, seeing the green grass and colourful flowers all around. Two butterflies floated by, their wings softly glowing as one chased the other. When they passed by him, he saw a child ahead. The floating child looked human, except he looked as if he was made of golden energy, which even formed his clothes. He was staring intently at a square looking object that his thumbs were bashing intensely. The child also had another object on his head, it curved up around his crown and ended in both ears where it covered them. The boy looked up at him. He pulled the object off his head and it, along with the one that he had been looking at disappeared in golden smoke. ¡°Elakaz, you are finally here.¡± The boy said. He tilted his head in confusion. As he tried to remember why that name was familiar. He remembered it was his birth name. ¡°What? Would you rather be called B?¡± ¡°I no longer have the power of B.¡± he said, getting to his feet. ¡°And I am no longer Elakaz. I have no name.¡± ¡°It is that kind of attitude that will make your reincarnation easier.¡± ¡°Reincarnation?¡± he repeated. ¡°You are a god?¡± ¡°Panokin at your service.¡± The boy said floating closer to him. ¡°You want to reincarnate me?¡± he said. ¡°Yes, imagine, coming back to the world.¡± Panokin said as he floated around him. ¡°You¡¯d be an OPMC type of course, curbstomping anyone you come across! You¡¯d have a harem made of paper personality girls who will live solely for you and everyone will regard you as a hero for simply being you!¡± ¡°Sounds meh,¡± he said. ¡°Would I have battle and a chance to get revenge on the Demon Lord?¡± ¡°Without question. That is the main reason I¡¯d be bringing you back.¡±The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. ¡°Then yes! It does sound good. A second chance at being a demon would be glor¡¡± ¡°You wouldn¡¯t be a demon.¡± Pankin said, floating in his view upside down. ¡°It¡¯d be weird if a demon was leading the human armies.¡± ¡°Wha¡ you want to reincarnate me as a human?¡± The golden boy nodded. ¡°No.¡± ¡°Come on!¡± ¡°I would rather die than be a human!¡± ¡°You¡¯re already dead.¡± ¡°Then I¡¯d rather die again!¡± ¡°Come on, please!¡± ¡°No!¡± he turned away from the floating boy. ¡°Please! Please!¡± Panokin floated in his face. ¡°NEVER!¡± he turned away. ¡°Pretty please please, with a cherry on top.¡± The boy said, floating in his face, his eyes growing larger and pouting his mouth. ¡°Wait, that saying won¡¯t work on you. How about, pretty please with a beating human heart on top.¡± ¡°Are you sure you are a god? Cause you seem more of an unlikeable brat than anything else.¡± Pankin spun in the air. ¡°Oh come on! I need someone to save the humans so they can shut up!¡± ¡°Shut up?¡± ¡°Yes! Do you know how annoying it is to be hounded by their prayers day and night? Especially since this whole demon invasion began. Even my headphones can¡¯t shut their whiney voices out anymore!¡± ¡°What are headphones?¡± ¡°Humans are annoying and dumb¡ but mostly annoying!¡± Panokin said, too passionate to answer his question. ¡°I¡¯ve seen them! They romanticize evil but as soon as evil happens to them, they shout ¡®Lordy! Lordy!¡¯ I don¡¯t even know where they found my name! I need to help them. Come on, help a god out.¡± ¡°I refuse! I hate humans for as much reasons as you do and even more! And why would you even choose me for this?¡± ¡°I¡¯m playing the odds. I think you have the best chance to save them and take down the demons.¡± ¡°They¡¯re weak! They deserve to dominated by demons!¡± ¡°So you would really rather be dead?¡± ¡°Yes, in fact, I demand to be taken to hades where I¡¯ll receive my eternal suffering. Cause that would be better than the humiliation of being a human.¡± The sky began to darken. The fluffy clouds grew black and began to swirl with lightning. The wind howled. He began feeling scared. Unlike the warm and serine feelings being around the boy made him feel, he was suddenly feeling a little fearful. He looked at the golden boy who frowned as he looked up. ¡°This is bad.¡± Panokin said. ¡°Time for you to get going to your next life.¡± ¡°I said no!¡± he said. ¡°I never agreed.¡± ¡°I have videographic evidence that says otherwise.¡± Pankin snapped his hands and a flat big tablet looking item appeared beside him. On the tablet was mirror and on the mirror was the image of him but being reflected, more like playing the past. ¡®Then yes! It does sound good¡¡¯ the image of him in the tablet said before it vanished. ¡°No! That¡¯s not what I meant you and know it!¡± ¡°Come on, you¡¯re demon.¡± The boy said, looking a little more desperate than usual. ¡°You should know how deals are handled.¡± Panokin tapped him on top of his head and said, ¡°Reincarnate!¡± He was suddenly surrounded by a pillar of golden light. His body turned to light as he could hear thunder and a deep, fearsome voice shouting, ¡°PANOKINNNNNN!¡± Then he turned to light and was gone. Chapter 3: The Baby Years

Chapter 3: The Baby Years

On his birthday, he weapt, not to test his breathing, no. He wept for he was a human and for the fact that he had just been interrupted. He had already started his training by doing sit-ups in the womb and now he was cold and naked. He continued weeping long after his birth, stopping only when exhaustion took hold. His parents began to worry and it made him happy for at least he could torment these two stupid humans. The village medicine woman put their worries to rest and told them that he would eventually settle and become peaceful. Dumb medicine woman, he would never settle! He continued crying but after a few months he decided that this angsty depression act was not good for him now, he had his teenage years to be an emo. As soon as he could see, the first thing he did was look between his legs and sighed in relief to see a walnut sized organ hanging there. He was relieved, being born as a human was already traumatizing but he would have probably been suicidal if he found out he was also reincarnated as a woman. Female humans lived a tough life that he had no interest in experiencing, they would be better demons than men. Of course he could have pawed between his legs to feel what his member was before he went blind but he could not control his limbs well. He could not even walk! When demons were born, the first thing they did was walk away from their mother and father, for there was a chance that they charged their Yokai magic with demon flesh. So they would try to escape, lest their mother and father thought of their child as more of a snack than bundle of joy. During his baby years, all he could do was think, observe and learn. His mother was Oka of the Wood and his father Baki of the Wood. They had dark skin and lived in a quiet village, so small, that it had no name. Like him, they had dark brown skin and brown eyes. He liked that he had a darker skin tone. It reminded him a little of his own ashy grey skin and he liked the fact that it bruised purple and was less likely to go pink. Purple reminded him of the Power of B. Speaking of power, he tried to cultivate but although his soul could feel the mana around him, his meridians were closed off. Meaning he could draw mana in but he had no way to pass it through his body and shape it to Yokai energy for the casting of Yokai spells.Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on Royal Road. As a demon boy, he needed to learn these skills as quickly as possible. Open the meridians, create Yokai energy and learn to cast spells. This was because all he knew was conflict and the faster he adapted to conflict the better. But this life was different. His current life was peaceful. He spent his days suckling on milk from a soft breast, listening to the laughter of women as they gossiped with Oka and being sung to sleep by the gentle voice of his mother. He would hear his father¡¯s deep and haughty voice when he spoke to his mother, happy to be home after a day of hunting. He would see his eyes, softening with love as he looked at his son, as he looked at him. No wonder humans were soft! He needed to train and get strong as quickly as possible. He needed to learn how to fight, and to fight he needed to learn to walk, and to walk, he needed to learn to crawl. In 5 months he began walking, amazing the gossiping women in the village. He was disappointed to see that even though he had gotten stronger, his meridians had still not opened. He instead trained his soul to sense energy even further. He opened this would greatly speed up the cultivation process when his meridians finally opened. He was able to get out of the house a few more times. He gasped everytime he stepped out of his house. The tiny village was built along a mountain, allowing him to see the forest below which was of different colours because of the autumn. Further ahead, he saw tiny smoke clouds rising to the sky. It made him happy for it reminded him of the furnaces in his home realm of Hell but it made his mother fearful and that strangely made him sad. Sometimes at night, he would creep away from his sleeping mother and father, drawn to the window by the patter of rain. He watched as the rain droplets streamed down the window, feeling the cool surface with his tiny hands. They never had rain in the Hell realm. Lightning and thunder, yes, but the closest thing he had experienced of rain was demons exploding and their remains raining down on him. He enjoyed this rain more and wished he was out in the open to feel it on his skin. ¡°Stupid medicine woman.¡± He uttered his first words as he realised he was right all those months ago. He had settled. Chapter 4: Once Youre Reincarnated, Age is Just a Number

Chapter 4: Once You''re Reincarnated, Age is Just a Number

It was a peaceful day. Birds chirped and a three goats ate grazed peacefully, all but one. The peace was destroyed by the shouting of a 4 year old boy who faced down the only goat of the heard. ¡°Don¡¯t think just because you have two horns and a harem of three that you are as strong as a two horned demon!¡± he shouted at the goat. The goat kicking dust back and charged at the boy. He dived to the side, dodging the animals horns. It slid to a stop but it was too late as the boy¡¯s fist found its side. It turned to face him and reared up on its back legs before bringing its horns down on him. The boy easily dodged and stepped back from the goat. It shook its head angrily and charged again. ¡°Okay!¡± the boy breathed as he lowered his stance, standing in place as the goat came charging at him. His hands grabbed the goats horns, his feet digging into the ground as he was pushed back. He gritted his teeth and turned the goat on its back with a grunt. The goat kicked in panic before it rolled to its feet before running away. ¡°That¡¯s right! You remember my name, Two-Horns and don¡¯t go grazing to far, you stupid goat!¡± he shouted after it. ¡°Kram!¡± a female voice shouted. Kram rolled his eyes as he looked at the female skipping toward him. This was Kriki, the first annoying member of his future harem. Yes, she was 2 years old but Panokin did say he was an OP so this was all normal. ¡°How is my future husband doing?¡± she asked. ¡°I told you to stop calling me that, Kriki!¡± he said. ¡°Are you not suppose to be out fetching water?¡± ¡°I got done with that early!¡± ¡°No surprise,¡± he said, as he walked over to a boulder. ¡°So we can hang out?¡± ¡°Sure but you know what to do first.¡± He sat on a boulder. ¡°Aw but I don¡¯t want to.¡± She pouted. ¡°I don¡¯t care what you want, lil girl.¡± He said as he plucked a long piece of grass and chewed on it. ¡°Nor does what you want matter. What is important is what I want. Now do it!¡±This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon. She groaned and got to the ground. ¡°1¡ 2¡ 3¡¡± Krono watched her doing push ups, looking as bored as he felt. He was frustrated that after all of this, he still had not opened up his meridians. The medicine woman told him that humans usually open meridians at the age of puberty which is around 12 years old. What is this puberty? And why were humans so weak?! He was looking at the girl. If he was going to amass a horde of brainless sex dolls, yes she was 2 years old and he just referred to her as a future sex doll, then he would make sure that they were at least powerful. Kriki had done her 10 push ups and was now running to and fro as part of her laps. Then she went through the fighting forms he had taught her. Not that he knew many. Demons were snarling creatures and fought savagely with no strategy or finesse other than to see the their opponent bleed. He only learned proper fighting form and strategy when he was a general in the demon horde. This girl, Kriki would be his guinea pig. As a baby, he once had the thought When she was done, she was sweating. ¡°Why do I have to do this?¡± ¡°Because I¡¯m not going to have a weak wife.¡± ¡°But I don¡¯t feel I¡¯m getting stronger,¡± she said, trying to make muscles with her skinny arms. ¡°Yes you are,¡± he said as he hopped off his boulder. ¡°Why do you think you can fetch water faster than before?¡± ¡°Oh yeah, that¡¯s right!¡± she said as she followed him back to the village as he herded the goats back to his mountain. ¡°Wow, I can¡¯t believe your father trusted you with this herd.¡± Kriki said. ¡°Yes,¡± he said. ¡°He does trust me very much.¡± His chest puffed out in pride. ¡°We¡¯re still growing it. But I tell you one thing, the goat milk is not as good as my mother¡¯s milk. Does your mother still allow you to suckle?¡± ¡°No!¡± she looked at him weirdly. ¡°If she ever falls pregnant again, call me. Maybe she¡¯ll allow me a sip.¡± ¡°No! No! No!¡± she said as they entered the village. Kram looked out. The smoke in the distance had grown stronger in the years. He was now sure it was a Fiery Furnace like the ones they had in his home realm. ¡°I hate that place,¡± Kriki said, looking at the same thing he did. ¡°Mom says its bad.¡± Kram grunted. Not knowing what to say. Even though he had been reincarnated, he still had no interest in protecting or saving humans. All he wanted was his vengeance against the Demon Lord. Ideally, he wanted to take the position but the amount of work it would take for a human to get demons to follow him gave him mre of a headache than the knowledge of how much work he would have to do to even become half as strong as the Demon Lord. Kram led the herd to the kraal, bid farewell to a reluctant Kriki and went inside the house. Kram woke up. His soul had expanded in the mana field and felt a disturbance. It was an interesting ability he found out he could do when he improved his soul sense further than he ever had. The mana around them formed a field and whenever the medicine woman would conduct a spell, the mana field would shift. It was shifting now at a level higher than the medicine woman was ever capable of. He rushed to the door and opened it causing his parents to wake up. ¡°Kram?¡¯ his father said, sitting up. Kram looked at the sky and had a mixture of emotions as he stared up. He could see a necro dragon, a dragon from his home. It was long with a red body that allowed one to see its skeleton beneath its skin. It looked down and roared as it saw the tiny human settlement. Kram knew they were in trouble. Chapter 5: Home under Attack!

Kram could see specs of demons leaping from the dragon and landing around the village. One crashed into the hut that belonged to Kriki and he could hear screams. Baki raced beside his son, his eyes widened in horror. ¡°Kram, get your mother and run to the other side!¡± he said as he grabbed his spear and ran out without wearing a shirt. Kram¡¯s father shouted, getting the villagers awake. Kram knew they could not fight so they would have to flee. ¡°Mother, we need to leave!¡± he said. He led his mother out of the battle and stopped. She stopped with him. ¡°Mother, keep going. When you reach the sharp point rock, use the small path and go into the forest. Keep going until you can¡¯t anymore.¡± ¡°What about you?¡± she said. ¡°I need to check up on father, make sure he is okay.¡± He said, turning to head back to the village. ¡°We¡¯ll catch up with you! And when you are happy to see me, let me suckle some milk!¡± ¡°You can try your luck but considering I haven¡¯t had a baby, I¡¯m pretty dry!¡± she shouted back before following her son¡¯s instruction. Kram saw his father, shouting in the streets. He wondered why his father was making such a spectacle of himself. He realized he was protecting the villagers, trying to warn them while also distracting the demons, so the rest of the villagers could flee. Three demons surrounded Baki and he knew he was in trouble. Baki gathered his power. Green energy swirled around his stretched arm before forming half a spear. It shot out and the demon intercepted the green spear with a punch cloaked in Yokai energy which obliterated the spear construct. It was the first time he had seen his father use magic of any kind and it was pretty pathetic. One of the demons coated his boomerang with yokai energy before he threw it. His father dodged it. The boomerang curved round. He tried to dodge it again but it scratched him, letting the poisonous yokai energy seep into him. The poison was not strong enough to hold him down. His father hefted the spear at the demon and killed him.The author''s content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. An arrow slammed into Baki at the back. ¡°No!¡± Kram shouted. He was about to rush to him. His father looked at him and held his hand out. ¡°Go!¡± Another arrow found its place at his back. He tried to run away but his path was blocked by another demon with a dagger, who ran him through, ending his life. ¡°Father!¡± Kram felt tears well up. It was the first time he had cried for another human. His sorrow was replaced by anger. He knew he could not defeat two demons at his current state but he wanted vengeance for his father. He was about to charge when he heard crying. He looked to the side and saw Kriki crying, curled up into a tiny ball. ¡°Kriki?¡± She looked up at him. ¡°Kram, my mom and dad¡ they¡ the demons¡¡± Kram came to his senses and held her hands. ¡°Kriki, we need to leave.¡± He put her hands around his shoulders and gave her a piggyback ride. He looked back to the last of his family living goat, rest lying in a bloody mess. ¡°Two Horns, come!¡± Kram said as he exited the village, the goat following him. He looked back in time to see the necro dragon blasts twin beams from its eyes, making their village explode. Kram had to leap to the side, dropping Kriki while he too fell. He rose to his feet and glared at the demon. The demon¡¯s hands were cloaked in yokai energy. ¡°Ready to die, human scum?¡± the demon charged and reached out to touch Kram with his poisonous touch. Kram ducked under his outstretched arm and raised his fist to punch the demon under the chin, causing him to stumble back. Kram leapt up and as he came down, he did it with his fist with all its fury. ¡°This is for my village!¡± he said his tiny baby fist making contact with the demon¡¯s face. ¡°This is for Kriki!¡± Another chubby fist which send the demon reeling back. ¡°This is for my goat!¡± The bones of his fist cracked with that one. ¡°And this is for my father!¡± his other hand also broke as the demon stumbled back, bruised and bloodied. The demon looked at the human boy before him with great fear then back at the edge of the cliff that Kram had almost punched him down. Then, through his swollen eyes, the demon saw that Kram¡¯s hands were hanging limply at his side and he smirked, knowing the boy could no longer use his hands. The demon gathered all his energy in his hands. ¡°Now you die, filth!¡± He reached out for Kram, whod dove back to avoid his arms that grasped empty air. In mid air, Kram split his legs and Two Horns leapt through his legs and slammed his horns into the demon, sending him flying off the cliff. Kram got off the ground where he had landed. ¡°Kram¡ you did it?¡± Kriki said in awe. ¡°Come on, we don¡¯t have time!¡± He said, making her get up as the two ran side by side. They reached the bottom of the mountain and ran into the forest. There they found the rest of the villagers. His mother ran to him when she saw him walk in and hugged him tightly. ¡°Kram, thank goodness you are safe.¡± She said, as he limply stood there. ¡°Where is your father?¡± ¡°I¡¯m sorry mother,¡± he said, looking away from her. Her lips quivered and she cried, pressing her face into his neck and he stood there. Unable to hug his mother found out she was a widow. Chapter 6: Decisions Decisions

Kram sat, listening as the remaining men of the village spoke. Most had perished, leaving only 9 people alive. The remaining three were talking about where they should go next. Kram kept one eye on his mother, who was sleeping peacefully with the rest of the villagers. ¡°We should go to Highrock Town,¡± one of the men said. ¡°That would be crazy,¡± the other said. ¡°Those people think of us as nothing more than savages. They¡¯ll put us in chains if they do not kill us.¡± ¡°What choice do we have?¡¯ the third said. ¡°We could wait it out.¡± He said. ¡°Maybe it was a scouting party. We wait fro a few days¡ weeks and then go back to our home.¡± ¡°Come now, we know they have been advancing.¡± The first said. ¡°It won¡¯t make a difference in what we do.¡± ¡°What do you think we should do?¡± Kram noticed that all went silent. He looked at the three men and realized that the were talking to him. ¡°We can¡¯t go back to the village,¡± he said. ¡°It has been totally destroyed. And we can¡¯t stay in the forest. I don¡¯t think we would survive, especially with the demons around. We need to be together with more humans.¡± ¡°Then we go to Highrock Town.¡± The first said. ¡°We should get some rest, I¡¯ll take first watch.¡± Kram left the men, followed by Two Horns. He was followed by Kriki, who was unusually quiet. Kram understood why, for he was in not much of a mood to speak either. He walked to the village Medicine Woman, who sat cross legged. Kram knew she was cultivating mana from how the mana field was moving.Stolen content alert: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences. He stepped one side of her, while Kriki was on her other side. ¡°I heard about your parents, little ones.¡± The Medicine Woman said without opening her eyes. ¡°My condolences.¡± ¡°Ma¡¯am, can you teach me how to cast your Mending Spell?¡± Kram said. ¡°What would be the use?¡± she said. ¡°Your meridians have not opened.¡± ¡°But one day, they will.¡± He said. ¡°And when they do, I want to be prepared.¡± ¡°Me too!¡± Kriki said. Kram looked at her in confusion. ¡°I¡ I also want to learn.¡± She said, more quietly. She opened her eyes and looked at Kram. ¡°You have always been a special boy, Kram.¡± She turned to Kriki. ¡°And yoy Kriki, you¡ you¡ you have always been the love interest of a special boy.¡± She shut her eyes and sighed. ¡°I¡¯ll teach you.¡± Highrock town would take some time to get to. They walked for most of the day and at night they rested, or most of the villagers did. Kram and Kriki would learn spells that they could not yet perform from the old Medicine Woman. Every morning, Kram would be awoken by the sound of Kriki doing her usual exercise routine. On the third morning of her doing this, he decided to ask her something. ¡°Why are you doing all of this, Kriki?¡± he said. ¡°You¡¯re not whining about hanging out, you are just doing it. You starting to see I¡¯m right about everything?¡± She looked down, and took a moment before she answered. ¡°Yes, you are right about everything.¡± She said. ¡°You¡¯re becoming strong and I know you¡¯ll become even stronger no matter what or where we go. I want to keep up with you.¡± ¡°You want to keep up, huh?¡± he said. ¡°Tell me, how much of the old woman¡¯s magic lessons do you remember?¡± She looked down in shame. ¡°Not much really. By the time I¡¯m 12 and can actually practice them, I¡¯ll have forgotten everything.¡± ¡°You have a pathetic memory.¡± She looked down in shame. ¡°Yes.¡± ¡°Lucky for you, I do too.¡± Kram said, causing her to look up in surprise. ¡°Have you ever heard of writing?¡± ¡°A little, like the pictures we draw.¡± ¡°No, that is too inaccurate and unrefined.¡± He said. ¡°I¡¯m going to teach you a more refined writing. Its how I record everything the old woman teaches us and if you are going to keep up with me, you¡¯ll have to learn. Since my hands are still broken, I¡¯ve been using my mouth to write but now you will be my hands.¡± ¡°Yes,¡± she looked up with bright eyes. ¡°I¡¯ll do whatever you say.¡± He nodded. ¡°Good. You must not tell anyone about this okay?¡± ¡°Yes,¡± she said. ¡°I have developed my own form of writing, mixing or pictogram style and the other style I know. That will come later. For now, I will teach you, how to write and read¡ demon script.¡± Chapter 10: Reunited with Sex Doll #1

Kram walked through the town with Loma. ¡°So what do people say when you walk about like this?¡± Kram said. ¡°Nothing. I¡¯m just going around on my daily business.¡± Loma said. ¡°I usually don¡¯t get bothered other than¡¡± ¡°Hey girl!¡± Loma sighed, ¡°Except for them.¡± They turned around and saw three boys. Standing in the middle was a boy who looked slightly familiar with his brown eyes and blonde hair. ¡°Who¡¯s this little rat that you are with?¡± Kram looked at them, not saying anything. ¡°Hello, Souza. This is my little brother. He is going to help me today.¡± ¡°Your little brother, huh?¡± Souza sneered. ¡°Why are you lying? This is the little rat my father sold yesterday.¡± ¡°So you do know me.¡± Kram said. ¡°You were just too stupid to remember right away.¡± ¡°What did you say you little rat?¡± Souza said, gathering his magic while stepping forward to Kram. Kram also made his move forward. He could sense how chaotic the spell Souza was using was. He suspected he had a chance against him. Loma stepped between them. ¡°Souza sir, please. We do not want any trouble.¡± ¡°Out of the way, slave!¡± Souza said. Kram could feel Loma gathering her own energy as the mana field was being disturbed. ¡°What is going on here?¡± Lin said, walking closer to the group. Souza and Loma¡¯s energies calmed. ¡°Lin, good, you are here!¡± Souza said. ¡°Control your slaves! Teach them how to speak to their betters.¡± ¡°Oh, they know how to speak to their betters. You must not be one of them.¡± Souza gritted his teeth. ¡°What¡ How dare¡¡±Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings. ¡°Loma and Kram are here on my business. Do not interrupt them.¡± Lin said. Souza clicked his tongue in annoyance. ¡°This isn¡¯t over, old man and watch yourself punk!¡± Souza left. Loma sighed in relief. ¡°Thank you for your help, Lin.¡± ¡°I suspect you could have handled yourself.¡± Lin said. ¡°Regardless, be careful.¡± Lin said, looking specifically at Kram who puffed out in annoyance and looked away. ¡°Let¡¯s go, Kram.¡± Loma said. ¡°I¡¯ll show you the family that bought your friend.¡± Loma pointed Kram to the house he was looking for before she went away to set up her stall. Kriki was polishing an ornament until he heard something that was better than any symphony she believed she could ever hear. ¡°Kriki!¡± She looked out and saw Kram. Tears welled in her eyes as she ran to him. She hugged his neck. ¡°Kram! You came to get me!¡± ¡°I did not come to get you.¡± Kram said. ¡°But it is good to see you are okay? How are they treating you?¡± ¡°Good, I guess.¡± She said, hugging him louder. ¡°But I miss you. When are we getting out of here?¡± ¡°Soon. Have you been keeping up with your lessons?¡± Kram said. ¡°And stop hugging me!¡± She separated from him. ¡°I haven¡¯t had a chance. I haven¡¯t gotten used¡¡± ¡°No excuses!¡± he said. ¡°How do you plan to get out of here when you¡¯re still so weak.¡± ¡°I¡¯m sorry,¡± she looked to the floor. ¡°How much freedom do you have?¡± ¡°Some.¡± ¡°We still have to continue our training. Do you know where the Medicine Woman is?¡± She tilted her head in wonder. ¡°She said you would ask. After no one buyed her and she was released, she told me that if you did ask, to tell you that she would spend the remainder of her life on the outskirts of the town.¡± ¡°Then I¡¯ll meet her tonight.¡± He said, as he left. ¡°When will I see you again?¡± Kriki held onto his arm. ¡°Soon. Probably everyday.¡± Krams said before leaving. ¡°We have a lot to do.¡± The night eventually came. Kram walked around the forest. He felt the mana field acting strangely. He expanded his soul sense to find the disturbance. Looking around, he tried to find the source of the disturbance and found a brown mushroom at the base of a tree. The mushroom like plant was cultivating, so much that it actually registered in the mana field. ¡°What a lucky find, Kram.¡± ¡°Medicine Woman?¡± Kram said, getting up with the mushroom in his hands. ¡°You know what this is?¡± ¡°It is called a Striving Truffle.¡± She said. ¡°They are a rare plant that have a good cultivation. Eating it like this, will increase your cultivation base by some but if refined, it can also remove impurities from your meridians.¡± ¡°Well, I guess for now it¡¯s useless to me.¡± He said. ¡°I don¡¯t know how to refine it nor do I have my meridians open.¡± ¡°I can teach you to refine it.¡± The Medicine Woman said ¡°Might as well.¡± He said. ¡°If I leave it here, it will be long gone.¡± Kram passed by the town at night, dodging the night patrol. He noticed Souza walking about in the night. Under his arms, he had a little package. Kram sent out his soul sense. Whatever it was, it seemed precious that he was looking around in paranoia as he made his way home. Kram waited for the paranoid teen to disappear before he walked to where Kriki was. Kram climbed up the side of the building and waited. Kriki exited via a window and climbed up to join him. ¡°Kram, you came.¡± Kriki said, hugging him. ¡°Get off me!¡± he said. ¡°Now, let¡¯s continue your lessons.¡± Chapter 12: Dear Kram

Chapter 11: A Letter instead of a Goodbye

Kram looked as the farm workers cultivated in a group. Their moves were all synchronized as they manipulated the mana around them and absorbed into their bodies with their cultivation. Kram found it amazing. A single person would be able to gather only so much manner, but as a group, they drained a lot of the area of mana. Even his mother, whose cultivation rate was really pathetic, was reaping the benefits of the group cultivation. In the past three months his mother had learned the cultivation movement and was now moving in sync with the group, where before she would have to cultivate a little away from the group to not disturb them. The group stopped. Loma walked over to him and collapsed next to him. ¡°That was fun!¡± she said. ¡°Kram, you should learn some. It will help you when you finally open your meridians.¡± ¡°Maybe some other time.¡± Kram said. ¡°Who taught you this cultivation?¡± ¡°Lin Koln.¡± She said. ¡°He taught one of us, then two then three. Soon, so many people asked him and he got so annoyed that he told us to teach each other. That¡¯s how this group cultivation was formed.¡± ¡°It is quite different.¡± Kram said, looking at his mother as she spkoke to the other workers happily. ¡°The cultivation world is cut throat and favours individualism. What you have built here is¡ beautiful?¡± He was unsure why he used the word. He immediately wanted to spit out. ¡°It is.¡± She said. ¡°People who suffer together have a habit of banding together.¡± ¡°What spells do you know?¡± She smiled slyly. ¡°Oh well, no harm in showing you.¡±Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences. She grabbed his hand and led him away. Kram found he was led to an empty field. ¡°Essence Transfer?¡± ¡°I can temporarily move my consciousness into objects.¡± She touched the ground. A chunk of the earth rose up from the ground. ¡°That seems like a powerful technique.¡± Kram said. ¡°What meridians do you use for that?¡± She tilted her head in wonder. ¡°I¡¯ve read about it but I don¡¯t know much about it. But I think I first move it through my diatian and pass it through the mind meridian. That is where I collect my consciousness. Then I pass it through the soul meridians through the Bone Gate where I infuse the ki and with my consciousness. Then I exit it by the Shao or Jue meridians.¡± As she recited, she looked up in the air to recall the information she had been taught. ¡°Our life force is connected to our consciousness.¡± Kram said. ¡°Perhaps before going through the Bone Gate, you should pass the ki through the lifeforce meridian. Add in a few drops of lifeforce to the ki infused consciousness.¡± ¡°How do you know that?¡± she asked as he rose to his feet. ¡°I know.¡± He said. ¡°Bye.¡± After seeing the Medicine Woman, he headed for Kriki. He waited on the roof and became worried when she did not come out. It was unusual for her to be this late. He continued to wait until he saw the sky beginning to light up. He decided he should leave, before someone noticed him sitting on the roof. The next day, he went to where Kriki lived, determined to give her a piece of his mind for not coming out the previous night. He would not have the first member of his harem treat him in such a manner. He waited outside for her to appear for her daily chores and was surprised when another slave girl did her job. ¡°Hey, you are Kriki¡¯s boyfriend Kram, right?¡± Kram looked at the girl and nodded. ¡°She left this for you.¡± The slave girl handed him a scarf. ¡°He said it was her favourite item of clothing and that she did not want you to forget her.¡± Kram looked at the scarf. ¡°Where is she?¡± ¡°She was taken by some bigwig researcher.¡± The slave girl said. ¡°Lucky girl. They paid a lot for her! She¡¯ll probably be going around the world.¡± Kram was shocked to hear this. It was just last night that he had seen her. He looked at the red scarf and on it, he saw the code he had developed by mixing the pictograms of his village and the demon script of his heritage. He read the letter.
