《The Demon Lord’s Successor》


 1: The Summoning

    You open your eyes and find yourself lying in the middle of a grand hall built from black marble. It¡¯s dark and eerie despite light coming from countless chandeliers hung from the ceiling by entrails, tied together like a rope.


    ¡°Aargh!¡± You jump up and realize that you¡¯re buck naked.


    ¡°Pardon for that¡ªyour clothes rotted away some time ago,¡± you hear a soft female voice.


    Then you see a blonde girl come out of the shadows and walk up to you. Your attention quickly switches from her gigantic F-cup mammaries covered by a disproportionally small bra to the brown curved horns on her head and legs which are covered by fur with hoofs for feet. There¡¯s no mistake about it¡ªyou have found yourself a minotaur monster girl.


    ¡°Allow me,¡± She snaps her fingers and robes materialize on your body. ¡°We must hurry! Please, follow me.¡±


    Still dazed and confused you follow the blonde. The last thing you remember is being trampled in an otaku stampede during a convention. So what is this place? Why is there a friendly monster girl in front of you? Have you died? Are you in a coma? With any luck, you have been revived in a fantasy world.


    ¡°Things are worse than you might realize,¡± the big-breasted minotaur said as they both exited the hall and walked down a long, dim corridor lit by torches placed on stone walls. Some of the wooden doors barely held on the rusted hinges. ¡°Our great Lord is already one foot in the grave and the kingdom is in ruins. It took all the powers he graciously gave me to summon you, a worthy successor.¡±Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences.


    You both reach a heavy metal door at the end of the corridor. The minotaur girl opens the door, its hinges squeak painfully. She walks in and you follow. The room is lit with a single candle, placed on a table next to a bed of nails.


    After taking a couple of steps on a squishy, slimy surface you realize that the floor, the walls, and the ceiling are all made from guts and meat. You freeze, unable to move.


    ¡°Come here, my child!¡± You hear a frail, old voice coming from the bed. You feel a warmth spreading through your body, like after drinking a cup of hot cocoa out in the blizzard. You are able to move again and approaching the bed you see a long, shriveled corpse. It doesn¡¯t even have eyes in its sunken, empty sockets.


    ¡°Give me your hand!¡± the corpse commanded, despite its mouth not moving.


    As if moved by an outside force you reach to the corpse and place your hand on its shoulder.


    Suddenly you feel a surge of energy go from your hand through your entire body. You scream out at the overwhelming feeling. But it''s not pain. Rather, your whole body tingles and your heart beats faster, because you feel magical power fill your body and seep into every cell of your organism.

    [Congratulations! You are now a level 2 Demon Lord!]


    ¡°Take care of my daughters! Good luck.. my... son...¡± the corpse slowly whispers and lets out one final sigh. It is dead.


    ¡°It is an honor, My Lord!¡± the minotaur girl exclaims and kneels before you.

 2: Infodump

    The previous Demon Lord is dead and his big-chested minion¡ªand possibly his daughter¡ª is kneeling before you. Wait! If she¡¯s his daughter, and he said I¡¯m his son, then... Your brain short-circuits when you realize the possability that you have a big-chested sister who is kneeling before you.


    However, that is all the information you have. So, before you make any rash decisions you need to know what the actual situation is. You pause and try to figure out the best way to get answers out of the monster girl without making a fool out of yourself on your first day as a Demon Lord.


    ¡°On our way here you said things are much worse than I realized,¡± you speak to the minotaur girl slowly, in the deepest voice you can muster. ¡°My... father is dead, and what little I have seen of this place fails to impress. What more are you not telling me? Speak!¡±


    ¡°Ah! Yes, My Lord!¡± She answers bowing her head. ¡°I am sorry to inform you, but m-your father was gravely wounded in the Great War over fifteen years ago. Using Dark magic my sisters were able to save his life, but he was bound to these halls ever since!


    The neighbouring kingdoms did not waste the opportunity and attacked our kingdom with combined forces, like vultures. It was the fastest fall of a Demon Lord¡¯s kingdom in recorded history! Our enemies did not kill yor father, because they thought it was funny.Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.


    Our entire kingdom is now reduced to a couple of ruined halls, seven Goblins farming the rocky soil, and one of my sisters, who works in a brothel to earn money for basic supplies. Now villagers laugh when they hear the name Graf Wilhelm von Helmman.


    Only two years ago your father¡¯s condition imporved well enough to regain the ability to use summoning magic. The results were... varying. But we were finally successfull! And with your potential awoken, we will rebuild our kingdom and conquer this world once and for all!¡±


    The minotaur girl stands up, her eyes shining brightly at the thought of world domination.


    ¡°Could I ask you to summon a couple dozen minions?¡± she asks you. ¡°I realize it is impossibly easy, but for now we must not draw too much attention to ourselves. And it would help me greatly with protection of what little lands we have left so that I can focus on other tasks.¡±


    Obviously she has great expectations of you, most likely based on your supposed father¡¯s abilities. To figure out what your options even are you gather all the Isekai knowledge at your disposal and manage to successfully open a game-like Status tab.


    Apart from your level and your class as a Demon Lord there is not much to look at. A button keeps flashing on and off in bright red letters.

    You press it. You are able to choose two specializations:

 3: Sexomancing Warlock

    The choice is obvious! You are a Demon Lord, after all, so a Warlock Specialization is a pretty much a no-brainer! Spells of massive destruction, various demons at your command, what''s not to like? Not to mention your probably-sister so kindly asked you to summon minions, so why make a bad first impression? And perhaps asking her name and getting to know her would help a lot in that regard.


    Figuring that basic common courtesy would be to at least ask for her name, you do just that. ¡°Before that, could you at least tell me your name?¡±


    ¡°A-ah, yes of course, how rude of me!¡± The girl gets flustered. ¡°My name is Ariadne!¡±


    With basic courtesy out of the way, you return to your Status bar to choose your second Specialization. Obviously it¡¯s going to be Sexomancer because you¡¯re a pervert and there¡¯s a good chance that you have plans to lewd it with your own summonings and/or underlings. Perhaps even have them lewd each other? Why stop there? What''s the point of conquering the world if you can''t conquer it sexually? After all, taking over the world is a lot of work, so you have to find the right motivation to bother with it in the first place!Enjoying the story?     You take a quick look at your warlock spells. The list is not as impressive as you perhaps hoped.


    [Shadow Bolt - lvl 1


    Deals magic damage to a single target.]


    [Summon Imps - lvl 1


    Summons 3 Imps under your direct command.]


    [Drain Life ¨C lvl 1


    Deals magic damage to a single target, healing you for the same amount.]


    Then again you are only starting out. Sure, "three imps" does not sound a lot, but you have enough mana to use the skill quite a few times, so if anything it will actually help you level the skill faster. However, you will need to establish a baseline for how strong your spells and minions are. And the sooner the better.


    Taking a gander at the Sexomancer spells you see the following:


    [Dick Enlargement - lvl 1


    Increases the dick of a single target. Target has to have a dick.]


    [Aphrodisiac Mist - lvl 1


    Unleashes an aphrodisiac mist in a small area, causing all who breathe in the mist to become aroused.]


    [Submission - lvl 1


    Attacks the mind of a single target, making it more willing to follow your commands.]


    ¡°My Lord? Is everything alright?¡± Ariadne tilts her head slightly.
