 Chapter 1: Teleportation

    Rei''s Pov.           I am John Rei but you can just call me Rei in short. A common college student with a simple dream which is to have a normal but exciting life. It¡¯s been quite hard for me to focus on my studies. One of the reason is that I am addicted in computer games that have strategic genre, but my biggest flaw is that I am not sure how my future lies to.


    The world I live today is called the age of robotics and artificial creatures. It is called like this because almost 25 percent of living things in earth is man-made. Almostall theanimals and plants had gone extinct so humans started to clone extinct species. A world that has nothing to do with just learning, graduating, and working for few hours a day because computers and robots have advanced Artificial Intelligence to perform one¡¯s usual tasks.


    We humans only work because they needRHA¡¯s or theso-calledReal Human¡¯s Authorization. Like what theRHAstands for, all computerAIsare not allowed to have a complete authority over the control of that certain work. They establish control programs in every none AIs specifically humans to counter this AIs. This countering business started when human became lenient on computers and robots but then a computer virus was made and infiltrated the central control of a high AI. Thus, it started to rebel and infect other computers with the objective of subjugating the world. Thankfully, the world was saved by a renowned human being called Shin. He originated from China and was a complete computer genius who invented a universal control program on everycomputerand robots.


    The world is always degrading as its supposed stewards indulge themselves in sleeping and eating. A world where peoplebecome lazy as f.


    But then on May 30,3030 darkness had covered the earth and a featureless mask who introduced itself as Groy appeared in the sky lighting up the whole world. Nobody knew how it can be seen on every corner of the world in real time because it is always known that the world is round and like the sun it can only light a side of the world and not everything. But after it appeared it stopped there in the midair floating for over an hour.


    People in the world have panicked because of this unknown thing that has caused a major disturbance. High officials had tasked experts all over the world to investigate over this matter. But before they start to fly up in space to investigate, the featureless mask moved and unexpected to the people, it spoke even though its structure is as of a mask. It said smilingly with a sweet manly voice ¡®¡¯ this world has been entitled * Degrading Paradise*, a world that is on the verge of destruction and had been chosen to be given a blessing and a curse that all the age of 20 to 13 will be participating¡±.The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.


    Before I knew it have been teleported to the world called by the one who call himself as the arbiter, he is the mask that had spoken to our world about the destruction or rejuvenation of our world. It has been half a day since I was teleported in a place where it is called the * World¡¯s Trial Cliff*, it is a cave like structure with millions of hectares as its area and this cliff is located at the far south of the very edge of this world called the ¡°The Edge of the Beginning¡±. The cave has been lit up by millions of torches that produce quite a good ambience. This is what has been introduced to me by the mask¡¯s sub spirit. Unlike to the mask¡¯s appearance it is human formed with a man¡¯s body. Don¡¯t get try to imagine them naked for they are well dressed. Every one of us who is teleported in this world had been given a sub spirit ofGroy. The subs introduced their main spirit¡¯s name asGroy. This sub spirit¡¯s work is to assist us and let us know about this world¡¯s details.Accordingto them this world is calledTheWorld Beginning. A world that is full of magical and demonic creatures.Theysay this world have been grouped to different kind of species known as elves, orcs, and humans as the main species or have the highest number of population. Then next is dragons,golems, ghosts etc. there are more of these species but those six are the ones who had been stuck in my head.


    I feel like we were dragged in a real life gamewhereI think our lives are on the line but it makes my heart race just by thinking that other species other than humans are living in this world.


    ¡°I wonder if I can encounter even one of those¡± I thought.


    A day after the forced teleportation, almost all the details about this world has been introduced to me by the sub. A few minutes later,Groyappeared at the center of the cave like place he is as always a mask but with changing facial features similar to a human.


    After its appearance, it smiled then spoke ¡°all people of the Degrading Paradise you are summoned here to participate at a world changing event. You may call it destruction or rejuvenation. You must survive this quest to succeed. May yourselves survive and meet you at the edge¡±.


    Chill went to the spines of every people who heard it.


    Then a 19-year-old teen built up courage to askGroy¡°hey you what¡¯s up with us, with this and that? I don¡¯t care if thisfreakin¡¯ world or our world is destroyed. Bring me back now!¡± said the boy with rage while his feet is trembling.


    Groywho was still smiling, smiled even wider but you can feel a chill hidden in its smile. After a few seconds then he spoke but with no smile ¡°then you should just die.¡±


    After he spoke, the teen went up the sky then exploded into pieces. The gory scene made the people shiver in fear. Some cannot take it puked on the ground while some fainted. I don¡¯t know how can we see the scene or hear the boys voice at such distance but I think it is all thank toGroy¡¯s power I guess.


    After the boy died. Not much people are protesting or at least they are protesting at the back of their mind.


    After a few secondsGroyspoke again not minding the crowd ¡°you will be picking weapons of your choice for a higher chance of survival in world.¡±


    Then after he said that millions of weapons surroundedGroyhigh up until where who knows where it ends. I don¡¯t even know how is the cave had a very high ceiling. But what caused me to tense up is that I feel I was being called. I looked back but and then at my sides but I can¡¯t see the one who is calling me.


    After the weapons showed up,Groyspoke again saying ¡°good luck¡± then remained frozen in the mid-air.

 Chapter 2: Choosing Relics

    HavingGroyfinished what he is saying. I then looked at the relics above me.


    You can actually say they are all relics that can be worn, I can clearly see that I see accessories like necklaces, rings, bracelets, crowns etc. and different kinds of relics and armors.


    After scanning the relics, I dare not to go near because none of the people went near those relics too. But a certain necklace caught my attention. It surely is a beautiful necklace having its red pendant, oval and inside it is flickering lights like fireflies. Whereits link part is colored in silver.


    I did not take my eyes away from it because I feel it¡¯s been the one calling for me and the next thing I knew I have been next to it.


    After that, I saw the multitude looking at me with mixed feelings.


    A certain teenager said ¡°oh boy, looks like we got another suicide actor here¡± while a certain smirk was formed in his face. Having witnessed what Groy can do they crowd have a sense of fear to the floating mask.


    I don¡¯t know why I could understand what he is saying because he looks like a Japanese to me who I know can¡¯t pronounce words very well when in speaking in English.


    While thinking that, I heard another cute girl around 15 years old saying ¡°please don¡¯t die¡±.


    I nodded at the girl then continued to stare at the necklace.


    I feel like I was being drawn to it and when I reached out my hand to touch it became bright and went straight to my neck.Itried removing it but to no avail it can¡¯t. Another weird thing happened is because it spoke.


    ¡°Hey don¡¯t try to remove me because when I called you, you responded.¡± It said.


    Its voice is so manly that girls would have a high chance to be attracted to its owner but sadly I am not a chick.


    ¡°Why won¡¯t I remove you. You just went straight at my neck while not having my permission.¡± I said in a rush while trying to take it out of my neck.


    ¡°Then why won¡¯t I go on your neck. I am a necklace, and I am made for necks. And when I called, you responded. How the hell would I react? Will I jump with joy or cry because you answered my call? Of course not! Because yeah, I forgot I am a necklace. As a matter of fact, that is what guardian do.¡± The necklace said sarcastically.


    ¡°Wait. What? A guardian?¡± I said with a questioning tone.


    ¡°I will fill you with details boy after we choose your relics and jump the World¡¯s Trial Cliff. Well yeah I clearly forgot I am a necklace and you must jump by yourself. Wahahaha¡± it said.


    I don¡¯t know how I felt when it said that and how did I picked this piece of junk in the first place. But I did not ask for another question and just replied ¡°how would I choose a weapon? There are basically millions of relics floating here including accessories like yourself.¡±


    ¡°Like what I said I am a guardian not an accessory don¡¯t try to make my grade low by saying such things. ¡°It said.


    After a few seconds of complaining to me it continued, ¡°choosing relics by yourself is not a good practice¡­¡­¡­¡­¡±


    By what I heard in its preaching, these relics are divided through grades from mortal grade as the lowest and divine guardian grade as the highest.


    Mortal grade relics are normal relics with no magic power and are easy to break when your opponent use magic or supernatural strength. You can possibly distinguish those relics are of mortals if you won¡¯t see light coming out from it for the first time you choose it as a weapon.


    The next grade is of transcendence, immortal, divine, divine guardian. It is said you can grade them if you see their colors shine from no color for mortal grade, red color for transcendence grade, green for immortal, yellow for divine then blue for divine guardian. The more they shine the stronger they are.


    Even though the division is only of 5, there are plenty of sub- grades coming from those five. So the users of those relics just made them numbers ranging from 1 to 10 in each grade.


    Choosing relics is easy but it is not a good practice. You can choose, but what if you chose a weapon of transcendence level or above and will not help you but will become a burden for you in the future. You can make them obey if you are the one who crafted them or you are chosen by them.


    Relics of above mortal level have a certain intelligence recognizing their master. So you can only convince them to make them follow you

    Different from mortal grade relics, above are had certain abilities that can be called godlike if you ask a mortal.


    Having said that short speech I asked the necklace ¡°So necklace how will I choose relics that are suitable for me?¡±


    ¡°Hey I am not just a necklace you know! I am called Durance. And I just told you that I am an of guardian grade. Tsk¡±. He protested.


    ¡°Ok ok. But I thought there is no guardian grade and only of divine guardian.?¡± I asked.


    ¡°Ranking up is very hard from the start you know. So those weapon masters who made the rankings. Made a special rank that is in between those divisions. Namely, immortal transcend, divine transcend, and guardian transcend.¡± He answered.


    Thinking that I will not be facing dangerous situations because Durance is nearly on the top grade. I smiled widely.

    Noticing my smile, he said with a mocking tone, ¡°Don¡¯t even think of having a good life of having me. I chose you because I think I will have a chance of breaking through the division if I followed you and I will not be servile to you.¡±


    ¡°Anyway since you are the first to step up and choose relics. Let¡¯s go for a killing. First you must close your eye and communicate with these millions of relics then boom you¡¯ll get them.¡± Durance added.


    ¡°How will I communicate with them just by closing my eyes. Can¡¯t you see we are just mere humans?¡±. I asked.


    ¡°Oh just shut up and do as I said you dimwit¡± it mocked


    ¡°what did you just said?!¡± I asked in return slightly annoyed.


    ¡°Dimwit¡± it replied.


    ¡°Will you repeat it again¡± I said


    ¡°dimwit as in stupid or silly. Or should I call you a skinny normal looking little boy. Same as your little junior down there. Dimwit ¡°. It described as if I did not understand what it was saying.


    ¡°What?! ¡°I shouted in the top of my lungs due to rage.


    ¡°This little boy knows how to be angry eh. Alright prove to me that you are not what I was saying.¡± After he said those word, light shone my eye then it closed.


    After that I cannot open my eyes anymore I tried opening it but then I heard a voice coming from Durance saying ¡°prove it to me that I have chosen the right person¡±.


    I followed what he said to close my eyes because I have plenty of time to come back at him.


    After closing my eyes, I can sense someone is eyeing on me but I just continued to trying to communicate with the relics because I to want to have the best relics for my survival in this world.


    After a few minutes, I still can¡¯t get a single weapon.


    I started to complain to Durance but it replied ¡°just try to feel them dimwit once you felt them, there is a high chance that they will come to you because you are the first and the only one choosing and you the will the only one they are assessing, so they have no chose but to come¡±.


    I tried my best but nothing happened.Itried to leave the platform with heavy heart. All of a sudden five balls of lights coming to me.


    The next thing I know is I have been equipped with a black armor made of leather I can¡¯t actually call it an armor because it shows some of my upper body part like my left chest and some of my stomach part and in my lower part of my body you can say I am wearing a short but made of leather.


    I can¡¯t say it is totally bad because I totally feel comfortable with the armor and the design is not bad where I actually like it to some extent. Then the next is the pair of daggers stuck in my legs, a pair of sandals paired in my armor, a pair of swords on my waist and a pair of bracers for my hands.


    I felt like I became so strong just by wearing them. But after seconds of admiring them they just vanished out of thin air. But before I try to ask Durance what happened. I heard his ear-piercing laughter then after he finished laughing he tried to hold back from laughing some more.


    He said ¡°your relics don¡¯t have a degree of trust in you, might as well try to put an effort to show it to them that you are a man worthy for them to rely on¡±


    ¡°Anyway can you tell me what grade are they I did not recognize their color because I was staring on the floor, and I was surprised that those came after me.¡± I said with a hope that they are of high grade.


    ¡°What do you know you dimwit. Find it for yourself. Wahahaha.¡± He replied.


    I stopped talking to him because he I can¡¯t stand the way he laughs at me. After I started to distance myself from the relics, I felt millions of eyes gazing at me. I felt ashamed and walked faster to blend into the crowd.


    Not knowing that even Groy stared at me while thinking that I have a very good luck being chosen by a guardian.


    After a moment of silence, still none of the people went to choose relics. Groy said ¡°Have you seen the first person did, he went to choose a weapon and got excellent ones. Won¡¯t you go and choose, because what I know is they will be a major help for you in the future for your survival. Try to get faster than the others because the good ones are quite limited you know. He he¡±.


    Saying that he once again remained still in the mid-air as if not minding ants staring at him.


    A few minutes later a beautiful girl with a black hair and pitch black eyes went near those relics then started talking to herself.


    A few moments later she started to shout saying ¡°What?!¡± then she closed her eyes.


    I can¡¯t believe what she was doing that I began to doubt if her mental health is in good condition. Until I heard a boy beside me saying ¡° Your luck is very good and certain people are dumb enough to mimic what you have done back there.¡±


    ¡°What? I have done back there?¡± I asked. Then after a second it came to me that I may have done that. Oh! My very pride has been smashed to smithereens. I can¡¯t even feel my cheek.


    Who the hell with the right mid to go and talks by himself in the middle of the crowd then shouted. All I know is my conversation with Durance has been amplified by the magic of Groy and by a certain reason they did not heard the necklace, so I think they heard me alone talking to myself. And now, a girl went and mimicked my actions. The more I see her, the more my cheeks grew hot.


    ¡°Did I really did that embarrassing act?¡± I thought to myself.


    But then, two balls of light coloring from bright yellow went covering her then before the light completely disperse she was dressed in a long gown with a fashion were women from medieval Europe wears like those. And she holds a staff something like a mages staff I think. Then the staff disappeared. Leaving only the gown.


    After that, I saw the reaction of the majority of the crowd had a full 0 in their mouths. They probably thought the same as the boy who spoke to me earlier.


    ¡°So two divine grade eh.¡± I murmured.


    I think I can ask these people what division is my relics are. I am dead curious about them.


    The boy beside me asked, ¡°divine grade?¡±


    ¡°No it¡¯s nothing but have you seen the colors of the light that engulfed me earlier? ¡°I said.


    ¡°It¡¯s too bright so I closed my eyes for a while but I think its white. Why?¡± The boy replied with a little curiosity.


    ¡°Nahh. I am just interested in the colors of those light you know.¡± I said.


    ¡°You know dimwit those colors cannot be determined just like that. You must be of higher form or have a weapon equal or of higher division or grade of that weapon before you can determine. From what I know you guys are of the lowest form. So you cannot just determine those colors¡± Durance said.


    Oblivious to what is happening around me, the girl who followed my footsteps suddenly got two immortal grade relics.


    While Durance is lecturing me, the crowd started talking.


    ¡°Really can choosing relics be done just like that?¡± person 1


    ¡°Nah, as long as it works¡°. person 2


    ¡°I think I will die from shame if I do that¡± person 3


    ¡°Then die we will all die any. We don¡¯t even know if we survive after this¡± person 4


    Groy who is shocked from what happened said ¡°,¡± Wohoh, that girl got a pretty good luck too. Those relics are not increasing every second you know. Well I think that may work as well. Now then let us put a time limit on choosing. Let''s just say I will give you three hours for all of you to finish those who had done not get relics may die peacefully.¡±


    Just before he finished speaking that boy beside me went the fastest near the relics then shouted with the top of his lungs ¡°what!?¡±.

 Chapter 3: World’s Trial Cliff

    The 3-hour deadline of choosing weapons is up. Many of the people were rejoicing about the fact that got unimaginable power coming from their weapons while others are full of remorse about having their weapons very ordinary.


    They have been informed by the importance of a weapon that is beyond transcendence. It came to them that while having great power also comes great opportunity and danger.


    Those who got mortal weapons were very envious of the weapons others got so they decided to plunder people with higher division of weapons.  Uttering reasons like they are more suitable for the weapons Rei and the others got and they will die anyway.


    While the weapons that had been distributed by Groy are of the minimum of mortal rank of the 5<sup>th</sup> grade. It is still not enough to last in this world.


    The hoodlums tried to get a transcendent weapon from a helpless girl but before they go near, they were burnt to ashes.


    Rei thought they all saw that and that might be again related to the mysterious power of Groy. He might be intentionally showing us the strength of the weapons of above mortal grade.


    The incident that happened served as a warning to the others who are planning to take away those weapons.


    Those who got transcendence weapons are not to be trifled with less those who got of higher ranking division.


    ¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­


    ¡°You had finished choosing and familiarizing your weapons. From what I know, some of your weapons of higher division or my subs explained it to you how this place works. Right?¡± Groy said while smiling.


    From what Durance said to Rei, they are in a place called the World¡¯s Trial Cliff. It is a cave located at the very edge of this world and is at the very high place at that.


    You can say they are approximately hundreds of thousands meter high above the ground.


    Rei was very shocked to hear it but what Durance said next made his feet  lose all its strength.


    Durance said that there will come a time when a dragon would come to this place and not a friendly one at that. Basically, all of us would be wiped out. The only solution is to go down this cliff to avoid being eaten by this dragon.


    He said that even a low ranking dragon was to visit them. They would still have zero possibility of them surviving. He said to Rei that they had not mastered any of their weapons because they had just been teleported less than a day and they will become helpless lambs waiting to be slaughtered.


    Less to the ones who got mortal graded weapons and are more susceptible.


    Having heard Durance, Rei said, ¡°Are you crazy!? How can I possibly go down this cliff? You said it yourself it is of thousands of meter high.¡± he was shouting when he said it because he is thinking it is a crazy idea to jump of the cliff where they were.


    ¡°So what do you want me to do, I told you earlier that I can¡¯t jump with you.¡± Durance said calmly as if it¡¯s none of his business.


    ¡°At least use you power to help me go down. You are my necklace and of guardian rank at that. Don¡¯t you agree?¡±  I said with a smile.


    ¡°Yeah today maybe you are. But after the jump, you may be not. Your such an idiot if you think I Durance will be helping you in such a trivial quest. I will remind you again, it¡¯s not that I don¡¯t want to help you but you will become dependent if you always ask for help.¡± He said seriously.


    ¡°I choose you because there is something that I like in you but if you think you can use me in every way you like. You will be disappointed.¡± He added.


    Rei,¡± ¡­.¡±


    He stood there spotted not knowing what to do. He was living comfortably in his world after a while but then a sudden twist of faith happened to him and his world. Even though he is not the only one teleported.


    Majority of them might die later on even if they don¡¯t jump of the cliff because a dragon will eventually come for slaughter.This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it


    He silently observed what the crowd is doing. Some were happy while some looked sad. Others are still shocked.


    Rei definitely understands their feelings. They were living in a peaceful and comfortable world a while ago after all.


    While he was walking deeper within the crowd he noticed a little girl nearby probably 13 years old sitting on her legs while crying.


    ¡°Hey little girl, don¡¯t be sad. We will try overcome this trial and go back home as soon as possible. We will be in our world in no time.¡± Rei comforted.


    The little girl tried to hold back from the tears she is pouring coming her eyes and stared at Rei.


    She replied while sobbing,¡± You know the sub of the mask said we will be soon jumping a cliff or we might be a meal for a dragon.¡±


    ¡°We got mighty weapons to protect ourselves you know. We might as well try to defeat that dra¡­¡± before I finish speaking.


    She interrupted,¡± I got three mortal rank 5<sup>th</sup> grade weapons and I heard some people said that even though I got three weapons. It is still nothing compared to a transcendence weapon. Some people who got the same weapon as I have certainly had no way surviving a jump that high and fighting a dragon with no chance of winning is unlikely to be an option¡±


    When Rei heard her he was guilty for what he said. Why is such an unfairness in this world. He decided to protect the girl or try to come up with a solution to bring her down with him.


    ¡°Hey, don¡¯t worry I¡¯ll protect you and you can definitely rely on me.¡± Rei softly said.


    ¡°really?¡± the girl asked.


    ¡°Of course¡±


    While having a conversation with the little girl some people heard us and said.


    ¡°Hey bro, you definitely don¡¯t want to bring a dead weight with you. You know.¡±


    ¡°Yeah he is right and that girl had no single transcendent weapon in her. How can you possibly survive¡±?


    ¡°Try and listen to us because the subs said that we really had a little chance of survival in this cave.¡±


    ¡°Why don¡¯t you try to join our party. It¡¯s just formed a while ago but all of us got transcendent weapons and one of us here got a transcendent grade 10 sword. We definitely saw you when you first went to get some weapons. You might have got a high ranking weapon. We promise we will definitely try and consider if we can get the girl come along.¡±


    Rei looked at them and stared at the little girl.


    ¡°don¡¯t worry I will definitely won¡¯t leave you. Stand up and don¡¯t cry anymore.¡±  He said.


    Before she could stand I felt a tremor on the ground and after that a distant roar could be heard.


    ¡°Dragon,¡± someone shouted.


    Because of that shout, people began to panic and ran.


    He stood up to regain his balance and tried to go near on where the girl sitting.


    ¡°Grab my hand,¡± he hurriedly said.


    The girl tried to reach out he¡¯s hand but the crowd swept her farther away from him. He tried to force his way near her but the panicked crowd that is running away from different direction kept him from reaching her until Rei lost sight of her.


    Rei was too focused on finding the girl and didn¡¯t notice Durance from giving of a flickering light.


    Then Durance said to Rei telepathically,¡± Boy if you don¡¯t jump of the cliff now. Your chance to live will be basically zero. You will definitely die, boy. I sense that the dragon coming is definitely not an ordinary one.¡±


    After Rei heard Durance, he lost sight of the girl and frantically searched for her but then the cave¡¯s ceiling cracked and a humongous dragon head could be seen. Before he knew it, its body appeared and landed on the ground.


    Then to Rei¡¯s horror, the dragon landed near the girl he was looking for, he tried to get near her but the dragon looked below and fed on the girl¡¯s head.


    ¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­.


    (Rei¡¯s POV)


    I was too shocked, that I can barely move my body. The girl I was trying to save was beheaded right before my eyes. My heart just couldn¡¯t take it.


    While I stood rooted on the spot. Durance urged me to leave quickly.


    He said,¡± You must hurry and leave quickly as possible. Oh my god, you guys had a very bad luck that the dragon who visited you is an elder dragon.¡±


    I looked at the Durance and said weakly,¡± I couldn¡¯t even save a little girl, how could I even save myself?¡±


    ¡°You still have a chance to survive when you jump of that cliff you know. Staying here with be a suicide. You are the same as the people here are not even a worth mentioning compared to that dragon and its mainly because of your experience. The girl has died and you can¡¯t bring her back anymore. The only thing you can do now is to live.¡± He replied honestly.


    ¡°You said that you will not help me so how can I possibly be alive even when jumping that cliff, even my other weapons think so lowly of me. I feel slight envious to others that they had a control of their weapons when I am not.¡±


    Surprisingly Durance did not laugh at me while I said that.


    He tried to comfort me with words saying,¡± Yes I won¡¯t help you because you are still not worth it but what about your other weapons. I can sense that one is trying to see you in a different you from what you did. So just try. You won¡¯t know if you do not it. Besides, you have no hope in staying here alive not with that elder dragon here.¡±


    I slowly said ¡°You said I will try it . It¡¯s like gambling by betting my life for it. Hays! Ok let¡¯s just do as you say.¡±


    ¡°you must do it quickly for I sense some idiots are trying to fight that dragon. Hurry up before you will be burnt by its breath.¡± Durance urged.


    ¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­..


    While the dragon is busy rampaging. Some people who got high ranking weapons tried to challenge it.


    Rei who is busy running near the exit saw how many people are being killed by the dragon while bathe in despair while some are fighting it, it does not look like it is enough.


    He saw how many people are jumping of the cliff without hesitation while majority of them is being pushed forward because the exit cannot accommodate the sudden influx of people.


    After some time, Rei reached the edge of the cliff. He saw how high the cliff he was going to jump and tried to back off but by thinking a dragon is back there waiting for them to be slaughtered. He closed his eyes and jumped.


    He thought to himself,¡± it¡¯s now or never!¡±

 Chapter 4: Fall

    ¡°Boy! open your eyes don¡¯t be such a sissy. We are just falling from a high ground you know. What is there to worry about¡±? Durance sent telepathically.


    ¡°What is there to worry about? What to worry about?! You good for nothing piece of junk! Let me tell you this. I am just falling down from a very high ground and once I reached the ground, I might just not break my bones but even god might not recognize me. And you, a piece of junk just said, what is there to worry¡±, Rei said while getting angry at Durance.


    How can a piece of crap feel how he felt? First Rei did not save the little girl back then and now he is falling in a very high altitude adding a talking necklace who is good for nothing but just talk. How can he not feel bad after all of this? It is like adding salt to an injury.


    ¡°Hays, you are really being dimwit and a high ranking one. You might as well be called an elder dimwit. Hah!  An elder dimwit paired with an elder dragon. It¡¯s very nice you have a pair. Ahhh! So there might be a possibility that an elder dragon came because it is attracted to its fellow elder. Now I know. I will take note of this. Hmm hmm.¡± Durance said as if he was nodding while he just discovered some great secret.


    ¡°Will you just shut up! I am trying to think how can I escape this disaster alive.!¡±


    ¡°As you said elder.¡± Durance said with effort as if he can¡¯t hold back his laughter if he tries to say some more.


    It¡¯s been a minute since Rei jumped and every second he can feel his heart thump faster and faster. His heart raced more and more when he saw his body almost reach the ground.


    ¡°I am finished. I shouldn¡¯t have trusted that piece of junk and stayed at the cave and may be can live a little longer. ¡°Rei sighed in regret.


    Boom!! ¡­.. suddenly a huge explosion can be heard from above.


    When he tried to look back he saw the sky filled with smoke and fire.


    ¡°ah! Maybe this would be a little better¡±

    Rei¡¯s Pov


    When I saw ground, I felt I was getting closer and closer to reality. Ohhh! How did it become like this? Ayyy. ..


    At least I should have saved that girl from being eaten by that dragon. At least I won¡¯t die with any regrets.


    I closed my eyes again straightened my body at least my head would not crash first. I waited for the impact after that.You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.


    I waited for at least another minute but nothing happened.


    ¡°huh?! Its been quite a while when I closed my eyes. Am I dead? I opened one of my eyes to confirm if I am on the other side or like heaven I guess.¡±


    To my shock have been floating a foot above the ground. I noticed a pair of sandals in my feet.


    They are the sandals that vanished together with my other weapons or should I say equipment.


    I don¡¯t know why Groy told us to choose weapons whereas only a majority of them may be called weapons but I think he just thought all of them are weapons.


    Going back to the sandals. I think they are actually nice. Its color is black with a black lace tied around up to my knees. Its quite a fashion you know. The one that really caught my attention is the yellow colored light that surrounds it. It is not actually yellow but it is like golden in color. I am totally fascinated.


    I thought I hit a jackpot. This pair of sandals is actually of divine grade.


    ¡°Lucky you, elder, you have just been acknowledge by this sandal. But do not be over confident that you might catch some falling bodies. It¡¯s your luck that the wind brought you away a little farther from where you should be originally falling.  Try and run away as fast as possible because not only the falling bodies but a dragon might come chasing you guys next. Hehe.¡± Durance warned.


    ¡°what? That dragon would still be chasing us?¡±


    ¡°what do you know dimwit? It is an elder dragon who seems to play with you people. he might play with anything living he sees and even play with ants. And you know what, I totally forgot that you are the ants in its eye hahaha. Again, do you even know what I mean in play is too kill you. understand? So shut your mouth and just run. You must run fast so I can enjoy the wind a little more.¡±


    When I tried to go to command the sandals to let me go down nothing happened. So I tried to ask Durance even though he is annoying.


    ¡°Durance, how can I go down or can you help me?¡±


    ¡°tsk tsk. You really are a lot of work. ok let me help you a little. Try to make a sleeping position in the midair then close your eyes with your hands behind your back.  Yeah that¡¯s it.  then try to position your face a little closer to the ground. That is perfect. Be ready now and remember to maintain that position for at least three second elder because a slight mistake might not make this work.¡± Durance said


    While Durance was speaking he emitted a white light that surrounded the golden color of the sandals.


    Before I knew it, I crashed into the ground with my face first landed on the ground and I could clearly hear an ear-piercing annoying laughter.


    ¡°ahhhhhh!!!  You piiiieeece oooofff sh**¡±


    I said to Durance.


    ¡° I think I just dislocated my nose. Ouch! You did it on purpose, did you? I really hate you, you junk ass. How could I feel safe if an ass is hanging in my chest. Get off my neck now and I might forgive you.¡± I continued I am really angry now.


    ¡° Hays! It pains me to say that it might be better for me to be an ass so I can always remind you how your face looks like. You know it is an achievement for me to help you in that part you know.¡± Durance said seriously as if considering to bet its¡¯ life just to be an ass.


    ¡°you!!¡±


    ¡°No do not call me you. please call me junk ass from now on.¡±  Durance said.


    ¡°I really hate you¡± I replied


    ¡° The more I love you.¡± Durance said lovingly using his masculine voice like trying to seduce a hot lady.


    ¡°you are really unparalleled are you. I will get you back later. I still have a more important thing to do than keep on arguing with a metal head like you.¡± I said imposingly.


    ¡°it is my pleasure my elder¡± Durance replied as if getting ready for what will I do to him later.


    After he said that, I did not reply him but instead I ran fast heading north with my top speed.
