 The Awakening

    Darkness.


    That was everything I could see at the beginning. Just Darkness. After a while it got boring and I tried to move but to no avail. But then with an booming noise, there was light. And not the blinding, unkind one. No, it was like the embrace of your mother when it was rainy outside and you are cuddling with your her on the couch and watching an Movie.


    And with that feeling came my memory. I didn''t realize before that I didn''t have memories or feelings, but now they came and hit my like a punch. I remembered my Family, my beautiful wife, my two sweet, sweet children.


    And my death.


    Me and my family were out to watch the newest Star Wars movie, Rise of the Jedi. We were just out of the car when I heard a loud bang. Behind us was a Truck , which was ramming everything out of his way. Then everything went fast. I grabbed my wife and our two children and just in time shoved them on the Walkway. 1 second after came the Truck.


    I can''t really remember anything from the crash, just that i was so in pain! Like my very soul was damaged. And than came the darkness.


    I am angry. Angry and Sad. Why did this has to happen to me? I lived such a good life and now everything was taken from me.     "You are right my child, your time hasn''t come yet." I looked direct in the light. "God, is that you?" I never believed in god, I was a confident Atheist, but hey, I was clever enough to admit it when I made a mistake or was in the wrong . The loud voice light loud, it shoked my whole body.


    "Something like that, my boy, something like that."  " So... am I coming in heaven or what?" I know, pretty disrespectful, but hey, I just lost my life a life with a wife, children and everything you could ask for. Let''s just say I wasn''t in the best mood.


    "Hahahaha, I liked you, little one. Let me ask you a question, would you like to live again? Of course your old live, that is not possible, but you can choose every Fictonary universe you can think of." I looked at him warily."Everything i want?" "Everything."

    I thought for a moment. It was so much to process. I died, and now a god-like being is offering me a life in a Universe of my choosing. I mean, I always liked star wars, and I was on the way to the next movie. Maybe I should have thought a little bit more about it but I said to me "Fuck it!"


    "I choose the Star Wars universe. And I want It to be 15 Years before the Blockade of Naboo."


    I felt the approval of the being. I also feel an energy that was slowly encasing me and my whole being. "Good choice my boy, and because I like you I am giving a little surprise on the way. Good luck and may the force be with you." Before I could ask anything I was gone

 Reborn

    Light.


    Something different finally, but now it was a blinding light. I mean, thanks god no more darkness but I wanted to finally see the world. Like on cue my vision went better and better. After a few seconds I could see shadows. A few seconds more and I could already see the edges. I needed full 5 minutes to see everything clear and sharp. And the first thing I saw was a man with a concerned face . He looked to be in his thirties. He had a good build and from what I could see, he was tall, I think like 1,90m-2,00m  and was ripping with muscles. He had a brown skin, probably from the work on the fields or generally work from outside the house. His long, brown hair was bundeld together on his head to a braid. He looked like a Viking.


    He started to talk but I couldn''t understand him. After a few words, I could to my suprise understand some of his words.


    Why.....not.....to quiet.....


    And then it came to me! He looked so worried because I didn''t scream! I instantly began screaming from the top of my lungs and my "Father" finally looked calmer and smiled a little bit. "Give him to me Dear." came a feminien voice from behind me,which I could suprised understand quiet well. My father looked for the first time away from me hand watched the women.


    "Of course Darling, here we go"


    He gave me away to my mother. And when I mean my mother, than I mean my real mother. Like, my mother from my first Life. She had red hair as if it was washed it blood, her skin was liked sculptured marmor and she had an all-loving aura, as if all life was precious to her. The only difference were her eyes. Their were blood-red. In the beginning I were scared, but shortly after the familarity she was giving of calmed me down. "What a cutie you are!" She holded me very close to myself, and I have to say, I just felt like I was hugging my real mother.

    "And as handsome as you''re mother." My father said with his loud bass. My mother looked at him at shock that he has heared her. He laughted a hearty laught and kissed my mom on the forhead


    Then we cudled together and my Mom and Dad began sleeping. I tried to sort myself and to calm mysolf from this rollercoaster of emotions. I wanted to call Ibo,but then athe fatigue from the birth kicked in and beforeI could say something, I was asleep.


    I was dreaming about the Galaxy, I could see a ship flying trought it but I couldn''t see the structur of it. I saw two beings, fighting and trieng to controll the other. And next I saw the two beings, no more fighting, but fused to one whole thing, and it was more powerfull than both entitys taken togehter. I didnd''t saw as much as I was feeling, I was feeling a rainbow on emotions: Rage, Love, Envy, Peace, Pride, Humble....


    And before I could dwell more into this feelings, I waked up.

 A whole new World

    I woke up early in the morning. The sun wasn''t even up, and my new parents were still sleeping. I tried to move but I was tightly squeezed between them and there was no escape. So because I didn''t have something else to do; I called finally Ibo for the first time since my birth.

    Interesting.So this was the reason I could understand my new parents so quickly. The 5 points in Charisma confused me, but then I remembered that nearly every baby was cute. But one thing was strange to me

    Good, good. Like I tought, their are some fuctions that are different than the ones I am familiar with. Mmmh but now I would have to look what build I want to take. But wait.

    Shoot! So no infinite training for more stats. But well, baggers can''t be choosers.


    So I''m going to save up my Points for later, so I have time to think about which path I want to go and I can use them when training brings no more results.


    As I was thinking about that, my parents stirred awake.


    They went up and made everything ready to depart. My mom came over and changed my diapers(which I can''t remember getting on) which was pretty embarising for me. I mean, I am a baby, but goddamit I am a 25 years old man mentally. My mother was also confused that her baby suddenly got red, but because it went quick awa she continued what she was doing.


    Then my mother bound me on her back with a cloth and we went out of the house.


    It was warm, warm enought to bring sweat out of the pores of my dad and mom, but not enought to be uncomfortable. My dad was equipt with an vibroblade and an old blaster. Both he and my mom weared light cloths because of the heat, and they went trought the forest fast! Before I could I think about it we were already a good distance away from the house and we were in the forest.

 First Adventure. As a Baby!

    After a few  hundred meters, mom and dad started to sneak trough the forest. An after a few meters I saw why. There was a deer-looking animal, the only different was that it had one big horn on the middle of his head. We, mom and dad, stalked the deer for nearly half a hour before it slowed down and and lowed it head to eat some grass.


    My dad slowly put out some throw-spears I hadn''t seen him putting on, and he walked  in a big circle, until he was face to face to my mother, between them a 100 meter distance.


    My mother held her arm in the air and began to to put he fingers down in a 5-second countdown.


    When her finger clinched into a fist, he reached back and in one swift motion, he threw his spear clearly into the head.


    The animal didn''t even fell pain. It was  instantly dead. Mom and dad got to work.


    They skinned the animal, and took the meat. After that, I got a announcement :

    Well, at least I got his name. I laughted because I was so happy. Mom and dad looked at me, than in their eyes and they smiled. My dad started and my mom got me from her back and started feeding me.Yes, feeding me. I mean, I wouldn''t say I enjoyed it, but I didn''t fight it ether(hehehe)


    After that I really got sleepy. I tried to fight it, I really did, but in the end; I had the stamina of a baby and I fell in a deep sleep.


    And in this manner went  5 years away like days. And I have say, that this 5 years were, aside the time with my old family, one of the best times in m,y life. You know, my childhood wasn''t the greatest. Parents were never home, and when they were, there was alrays screamin, and bla bla bla. Let''s just say it was good to finally have a family that cared about you. Also, I suprised them pretty good when I started talking with them when I was already 3! My first word was mama, which my mom was pretty smug about. But a few minutes later I said papa and my dad was happy too. With 4, I was able to help in the house, and with that, my stats got a little bonus.

    I also learned how to use the force! It took some time and dedication, but I made it. I also got this new skills and over the five years I trained them good:

    These were the only two I was able to train. And I couldn''t even train them right! Everytime I would try to train it, one of my parents would come in and would nearly catch me using them. I don''t  want them to find out yet. I wouldn''t want them to send me to the Jedi. I mean, it would be cool to be cool to be a official jedi, but I don''t want the corrupted, branwashing, BS talking order to find me and to force me Ideals on I''m not ok with.


    So my life in this 5 years was pretty boring exept the training.


    But then, my dad wanted to talk with me.

 The Talk

    My dad and me went out  and behide the house and my dad looked at me.


    "Son we need to talk:" "yeah dad, you already said that." I told him with a smirk. He looked at me with stern expression."Son, this is serious! So behave and not one of you''re comments!"


    I was suprised. What is with that behavior ?!  We always talk a little rought to each other, but we both know it''s not serious. I just tried to lightn the mood, but he looked like he was really stressed out.


    "So, for what are we waiting for?" "For you''re mother boy." Ok now we''re talking. Always, and I mean always, when my dad calls me "boy", I know either I shut my mouth and do what he say''s or.... or... I never knew what would happen when I would go farther, but he always says it with such a tone, that you know to just shut up and do like you were told.


    So we waitet in silence and waited for my mother. I wondered what this was all about. Did I something wrong? Did they found my secret treasure-hidout? Always when mom and dad were hunting and they forgot something, I would colect it. I know, pretty childish, but I was just so fascinated with the animals and wanted to know more about them. But my parents don''t want me to collect this "garbage".


    I had no time to thinkl more about it, because my mother came just out of the forest. We had a little lake close to our little wodden-hut, which we are using for bathing, and from the look ghow wet the hair from my mother was, she''s been there a moment before. Now she was coming to in our direction with a blaster and a Vibroknice in her hand. When she was before me, she kneelt before me and spoke with a solemn tone:" Jar, today is you''re 6th birthday, and with that day, you have to prove your worth. Today, you shall go in the forest and come back with an animal as your trophy, but it has to be a predator, to show your worth and that you are strong enought to survive in the big and dangerous galaxy."

    OMG! My first quest!. I didn''t even got one for the chores I did in the house! My adrenalien was pumping, because finnaly I could start the busniss of grinding. And hey, I can look at it like this: Finally I can train the force and mabey find new Skills without my parents noticeing. And I mean, I have SOME survival skills that I learned in my old life so I didn''t tought it would be so hard right?

 The Hunt

    Why did I have to say it? My goddame jinxing mouth. MY first day was terrible. After I got into the woods, the first thing I did, I had the brilliant Idea to hunt a predator instantly. You think that would be smart right? Just get one and getting home. How hard can it be?


    Well, I will tell you, it''s pretty hard. First, I nearly searched for 3 hours straight, but to no avail. Than, when I gave up and I tried to build a shelter, from nowhere, I got attacked.  I didn''t saw it, and I didn''t seensed it with my Force Detection. It pushed me into the ground, and it shlashed my  back open. I was terrified. I never had a situation like that! I was just a normal family father, mabey I had a little martial arts training, but exept for that I had no major battles to speak of !


    While I was thinking that, I was wildly swinging my arms around, and I could feel that I had hit something. I also got a notification:

    I waved, or more hitting, the text in my face away and scrambeld to my feet. And there was nothing. There in the ground where just blodd and claw-marks on the ground. And by the way claws, I now could clearly feel the marks on my back. I also got another pop up:

    Great! Now I would die bevore I could even hunt something! I would die out here!

    No!! C''mon Jar, get ot together! You can do this!!! What would mom and dad do??!! Wait! They would always use a mushrooms to care for wounds. Where is it?! Observe!

I got in a meditative position and tried to feel the force. When it drew in the long I became despared. But no! I need a steady mind. After a few tries I succsessed in getting hiold of the force. I guided as fast as I could to my wound. I feelt how my it got slowly knittet together. I breath in relief and looked at my Health

    Puuh, that was a close call. I dragged myself to a tree and leaned me on him. And as I was sitting there, I realised something. This is not my old world! Here are no people who will help you, no police, no real law! And when I don''t want to die in this world, I would to toughen up.

    When I want to survive, I need more health. But when I could get more damage out before I get wounded, I would survive too. But then came the bleeding-effect in my mind. I winced and I made my decision

    Huh, it looks like when I put status points into somewhere that it refreshes it. That''s good to know for the future. But now I looked at the blinking dots which came after the ambush. I metally clicked at them and a notification came :

    Shit! Would I have known that before than.... ARGH. Well, I can''t change it. And hey 20 more Health isn''t bad too, I am more resistent to this goddame bleeding and I have a healing-skill.


    So with a hint of an plan in my mind and my new skills I got to work

 The Plan

    So here I was. I realised that wouldn''t going to be easy. I have a foe, who is stronger than me and has the home advantage, but I have a human mind. So I got to work. First, I went and build a shelter for me. I have a time-limit of 5 days, so I should use that time to prepare myself. I used my muscles and my Telekinese for that. I got some nice stats for that:

    +1 to dexterity


    My Telekinese didn''t get up, but I didn''t used it really much because I was more focused to get the extra stats. But I gaines some Levels in Telekines for digging. I digged 5 pits in the direction I tought that the animal fleed , and I used my Vibrodagger for sharpen some thick branches and secure them at the bottem of the pits.

    So I had my Telekinese at Level 8 now and I have Dagger Mastery. What does Dagger Master?

    Nice!, So next time I should use my dagger against this dame thing. And now, with all that preperations, I waited. Because I don''t think that the beast , which attacked me, would just give up. I just had a gut feeling. So I went in my shelter and closed my eyes to sleep. Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere.


    I had weird dreams. Dreams about red, glowing eyes, and an raspy voice, which called for me. But it wasn''t creepy, it feeled like... like someone of my family was calling. I know that sounds strange but that is the best description I can give. And then I woke up.


    I woke up sweaty and the first thing I heared was whimper.I got up and rushe dto the pit, but it wasn''t a predator, it was one of these deer-things with just one horn on the head. I was still alive, but you could see  that it wouldn''t be alive for much longer.


    So I used my Telekinese for brining it up from the hole and got my dagger. My breath and hand trembled and I nearly lost my dagger. I mean, I never have killed anything, and now I want to kill in cold blood an animal which didn''t do anything to me. But then I strengtht my resolve. I have to survive this! I am not going to die out here! And so I kneeled down to the animal, and as if I knew were to  stab, I killed it instantly:

 Survive on your own

    Great! NOW I have to survive without my System! AND I didn''t even distributed my Attribute Points! Crap!!!.


    Ok, calm down Jar. Calm.Down. I went into my Meditative trance and got my breath under control. I tried to feeel the force, and to my relief, shorrtly after I felt it. I tried all my other skills. Observe didn''t function. But my Telekinese still functioned and I had still the same comfort feeling when I hold my dagger. And I still have my Force-Detection. SO, I should continiue with building and gutting the deer. But first thing first, I need a fire. I need it for the meat and the pelt to make it useable and to season the meat. I brought some sticks to the fire and tried to make it with the method to drill a stock long enough to make a spark. After the 15 try I gave up. When I just knew a better method.


    Mmh mabey I do: I never saw it in the movies, but I think it should be possible to make the atomes swing with the force to make it hotter and make a fire.


    I went in a meditative position and blanked my mind. Then I brought a picture of the air around the wood-plank up and imagined how it went blurred, like when you a grilling, and that the wood started smoking, I started imagineing the heat which came from the wood and how it would feel to have a fire, to be save, that I could be full and satisfied with the meat I can grill with the fire. The feeling intesivied until I imagined the fire erup from the wodden-plank.


    Than I stated feeling the heat for real and I opened my eyes. Right in front of me, on the wooden-plank, was a little flame, but that was all i needed. I instantly put drie grass and litlle sticks carefully on the flame and started gently blowing into the flame,few seconds later I got a nice and little fire. I started to put a few thicker sticks into the firce to let it burn longer. After that I sat exhausted into my camp and start thinking of what I just had done. I made it! I made something without the system! I feelt so good, and mabey I got a new skill when the system comes back. But then I had a other tought. When I could do fire, could I also do frost imidiatly, but i had a deer to gut.The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.


    It was a pretty bloody matter. The good thing, I didn''t cut any organs, so I didn''t spoil the meat. I tried to don''t ruin the skin, and I got it nearly perfect, there were just a few cuts in the pelt which ruined it a little bit, but for my first try, I was happy.  After that, I build with my Telekinese a little framework, and there I clamped the pelt. And than I got a idea. Because when the pelt is ready, will the mead already be rotten. So why don''t I try to freeze the meat? I sat bevore the deer-carcase and meditated. When I got a blank mind, I conzentrated on the body and to absorb the heat from the body, because cold is nothing than the absent from warm.


    After a few second I started to felt energetic and at the same time warm. I continued to do that until I couldn''t take it anymore.


    When I opened my eyes there was a frozen body before me. Not like there was ice everywhere, but like it was fresh out of the frezzer. So this was this. I turned to the fire and got to work. I didn''t noticed until now, but the absorption of the energie needed more time than I tought, because it was already early night. I prepared the meat I took from the deer before the freezing and cuttet it into a few nice stakes. A few were for me, but the rest was for the pits. I don''t think that the MY predator would fall for it, but mabey a other predator which was hungry.


    So I prepared the pits, and repaired the trap which the deer was in. and then I got to ear, finaly!


    I haven''t eaten the whole day. It sizzled as I was grilling it stuck on a stick. I missed spice and season, but I didn''t find anythimng familiar taht i could use to season with, and without my Observe, i don''t want to risk. But it was nevertheless delicios. And I could eat as much as I wanted.


    When I was finished, I digged another pit, in which I dragged the deer and the I buried it to have no animal eat from it. After this but experiencing day, I went to bed and as soon as my head was on the ground, I fell to sleep

 The Hunt 2.0

    I had no dreams that night. Just a had good night of sleep. Good, because I gonna need it. I started with a hearty meal from the deer from yesterday.


    When I was finished, I inspected the pit''s to see if something felt into them. Unfortunatetly they were all empty, even the ones with the meat in them. I  didn''t expected my predator to fall into it so I wasn''t to disappointed. I continued with hiding the pits again and went to the site of my first fight. Even after the 2 days that have passed, I could see the paw-prints that were on the ground.


    And as I was kneeled on the ground to inspect the prints, a notification poped up.

    WOW. That are some serious upgrades there. That have to be the Skills and Attributes that I got when the system wasn''t there. Pyromancing for the fire I made and the cryomancing for when I froze the meat.


    I put the one point into strength to get more attack damage when the predator got  close


    But back to where I was. Even with the system back, I can''t waste time. This was alraedy my third day and I just have two more days when I don''t want to dissapoint my Mom and dad and if I want the Quest-reward.


    I kneeled down again to look for the tracks. And after a few seconds I could see them again. It looks like it is a four-feeted, feline animal. Every paw had 1 big and 2 little holes by them. That have to be the claws of the animal. At the memory itched my back were the scar was. It was no pleasent sensation when the claws nearly killed me with their bleed-debuff.


    The more I stared at the traces, the better I could see them and then, a notification came:


    Skill gained: Tracking


    Nice! It looks like the better I am at tracking, the more the traces are visible. Now that I had the skill, the paws glowed in a mat, nearly not visible, glow. I could see how the track went away in the direction I anticipated and it went in the dense forest. But I waited to go into the forest. I wouldn''t make the mistake again to go into the unknown without preperation. First thing, I cutted a little meat I had from my breakfast left into stripes and packed them into a large leaf from the tree I had my shelter under. Then I watched that I had everything, my Vibrodagger and my blaster in reachable position, crouched low and began sneaking into the forest. Let''s hunt!

 The Hunt gets serious

    I followed the track the predator had left until a few meters into the forest. After that, they just disapeared, like there where no traces ever. I looked at my surrounding with the skill Tracking still aktive.


    And There! A few meters away, on a pretty big tree, were a few marks, like somthing had hung there and had run the tree up. I went and Inspected the tree and I could see that the animal ran to the next tree and when I was right, from there to the next one. I think that I one of the ways the predator prevented other animals or predators to follow it.


    So I followed the claw-marks on the trees by jumping from tree to tree. Because I had to make some acrobatic movments for that I got the skill for it:

    I managed to get the skill to level 4 when I went down to the ground for a break. I got some serious gaines in my Attributes for my tree-jumping there:

    The big constitution gain... well lets just say that it wasn''t so easy at the beginning and I had some... meetings with wooden things...


    Well, but now I was sitting and meditating to calm my mind. After that I went and tried something. Because of the few games I had played in my youth, I tried to get as much skills as I could before the confrontation with the animal I was searching. The first thing I did was shooting with my blaster at a old trunk I had found. At firs I shooted it from 10 meters until I could hit the center at every shoot. At there I already got the skill but I didn''t wanted to stop because I wante da few more Levels into it:Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences.


    Blaster Mastery ( Level 5)


    After that, I went to a dead looking tree and attacked with my dagger, but that just got me one level, because even after half a hour, there where no new results. I belive there is just so much I can do without a trainer or fighting real oponents. After that I searched for animals that I needed for the next skill. After I found one of this deer-things, I tried ti sneak apon it. And really, I got the skill I looked the for:

    Perfect! I needed that skill. With that skill it is going to be much easier to land a early and mabey, devasting strike. And as i did gain all this skills and levels I looked at everything with my Observe to level it up also and holy moly did that skill got level:

    Wow. I came a long way from the orderly and little status-page. I feelt a little of pride coming up. I was making my way. And today I woulkd make another step on this way.

 End of the Hunt

    I went into the tree and continued the pursuit. The claw-marks grew more. It must felt secure because we it was in a familiar surrounding. Now it was time to be careful. I wentb into stealth and slowed my tempo down to a crawl. It costet me nearly half a hour before I was able to find it.


    I stumbled into a clearing in which I wanted to rest a little bit, but then I saw a cave, and nearly every mark went into the direction of the cave. My heart skipped a beat, oh pleas don''t come out now! I stumbled as fast as I could into a bush and watched the cave-entrance. For 10 minutes I layed there without moving a musle and with a flat breathing. As nothing was coming out of the cave, I relaxed somewhat, but I was still watching it and I was still on guard in case it came out.


    I retreated back into the forest and catched my breath. That was to close for my taste. After I calmed down a notch, I started making a plan. I am not going into the den, that would be suicide! My only option is a sneak attack/ambush when it came out of the cave. So I started my preperations, which weren''t much,really. I climbed the biggest tree, which had one thick branch which I could crouch down. After I was in position, I took the rest of my meat, putted it down and started cocking it a little bit with my Pyromancing. After it had a good smell to it, I pushed it down, where it landed near the entrance of the cave, and started waiting.


    I didn''t have to wait for long, because after roughtly 8 minutes, I could see a sniut coming out of the cave. It sniffed the air for another 3 minutes, in which I was sweatin g nervously, hoping that it smelled the food and would overlooke me. I was lucky, because after the 3 minutes it went out into the clearing. And I was like... WOW. (Now comes a discription and I just want to say that I never did this so be with me.     What came out of the cave was a 1,5 meter high and 3,5 meter long body, but no wait, 2 meter long body and a 1,5 meter long, forked, whipelike tail that was ready to whip the living hell out of someone.A mouth that could bite me in half with just one bite and teeth like a shark. The grayish, nearly white, fur was adored with scars and black stripes.It was a nexu! Now I know why I knew this planet! This is the homeworld-planet for nexu! I was excited, because I always liked the cool-looking, feline-looking animal, even when one was killed in on geonosis in the movies. But I was also scared. Even when they can''t take a lot, they can give you a lot of damage and are agile as fuck!

    Just a little farther... more.... NOW!


    I jumped down from my hideout, my Vibrodagger sharp and ready, and my mind resolved and ready to do the deed. And I nearly made it. Nearly. But just as I was seconds away from sinking my dagger into his had, it turned with breathtaking speed away. But it was to late and I got it in the right shoulder. I was still hanging on my dagger and riped it with a painful howl from the monster and got soem  distance between us. The Nexu also retreated some steps back and Inspected it. It started licking it to stop the blood, but I wouldn''t let that happen. I drew my blaster and began shooting at it. My first three bolts missed but the last hittet it in one of teh eary, whta made it more angry than hurt.


    The whole time I had my Force Detection active, and It began giving me a bad feeling until I had the feeling I am going to die. I gave in too my urge and made a role to the right. And at that moment a notifcation shot in my face:


    Skill gained: Force Danger Sense


    I franaticly swiped it away that it didn''t block my vision anymore. And that at the right moment because the nexu was already jumping again. My new Dange Sense screamed at me t jump forward, and I trusted it. Now we again stood at across from each other, me with my blaster and vibrodagger in hands, and the Nexu with a intelligence and hatred I didn''t new they could have. But before I could wonder about this, the nexu jumped again but I was ready this time. I ran torwards it, and at the last moment I slittered under it belly and got a good shot into it. As is slittered to a stop I jumped uo and looked at the nexu. But it was Still standing! I tought there were animals that had light bones and couldn''t take damage good. But the Nexu was still standing.


    We were staning pretty close to each other and  the nexu barraged me with a furry of claw-swipes. I could dodge the majoroty of it, but one swipe got my blaster, and the follow up got me good on the shoulder. I quickly jumped back, and there we were again. We looked at each other. and we both knew that just one of us would walk away from here.


    A  leaf was slowly coming down from the tree I jumped down and it made it way slowly down to the ground. The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knive. As the leaf touched the ground, we ran at each other. The nexu got me in the shoulder and bite on. I screamed at the top of my lungs because of the pain. But when I am going to die, I am going to take you with me! I stabed the dagger over and over and over into the  brain of the animal.


    The nexu slowly let go and broke on the grownd down. I was bloodied from head to tow. The last things I remembered was that I dragged myself into the cave and that I activeded my Force Healing.


    And a softly meow.

 KITTEN!!!

    I woke up with the biggest muscle-ache of my both of my lifes! I woke with torn clothes and the scars on my body. My Force-Healing had healed all of my wounds, but appearently I hadn''t enought Force to heal my wounds and to get no scars. I tried sitting up but my muscles screamed in protest! I sat back again. And as I sat there I noticed that there was something heavy on my chest. And as I looked down on it, there sat a white and black striped fur-ball.


    I didn''t moved any muscle, not that I could, and started inspecting the fur ball. I saw that it was moving, so it was something living. Because it looked like "It" was sleeping, I turned my mind to the blinking notifications that were waiting for me :

    Holy moly! That fight got me pretty good levels in my skills. I think I am gonna....


    At that moment the fur ball decided to strech himself on me. Now I got a good look on him :


    I was as long as my arm, so circa half a meter long and as big as a normal house-cat. It looked at me with her six red with love and affection. It started to pur loudly and to cuddle more into my chest. I couldn''t resist and started to stroke her fur. It was soft but firm at the same time. I also felt some stubles coming. I think that going to be the spikes on her back when she grows. She looked sooo cute! And when she will look just like 5% like her mother, she is going to be a ass-kicking, cool-looking fighting-machine! I found the strenght and pulled her up to look her dircetly into her eyes, and a notification poped up:

    I am going to name you... Echidna. That is egyptian for "mystic monster" because your fur looks mysterious and you are my little monster.

    Well, it looked like I had a battle-pet now. And I could use her Attributr Points and PerkPoint to my liking! So let''s first look at the perks :

 Homecoming

    So I choosed Sturdie, Telepatie, Bright One and SHARP. After I made my decision, Echidna got stiff and didn''t moved for quite a while. Then she broked down on my body. I paniced a little bit because of the suddenes of the situation. With my still stiff arms I tried to reach her. I felt for a pulse and with a big relief, I got one. She was in a sleeping-like state and reacted to nothing. As she was sleeping, I looked at her Status again and pondered about where I should put her Attribute-Point.


    Because of the Sturfie-Perk, I think about giving into her dexterity to give her more speed, because this was the specality of her race. But with more strenght she could deal more damage to her target. Mmmh... I think I am going to wait till she is awake. She should be awake soon, and with her Telepatie, she could tell me what she wanted. So I started circulating the force trought my body with Force-Healing so I could move again. I sat there 1 hour until everything was healed. I also got some nice Levels into the skill :


    Healing (Level 6)


    I made me ion my way out of the way, my cute deadly kitten in my arms. The first thing I saw was the Nexu. Little Echidnas mother. I taught what I should do with it. I mean, I couldn''t let her rot here. Her body could be a great source of resources. That may now sound brutal, espacialy with my new pet, but I was living on a prehistoric planet! Every bit is needed! So I looked at my Status and put my one Point into dexterity. And with that I sprinted in the direction of my old camp, because the prepared fur of the deer was still there, and with it, I could drag the Nexu to my home.     I needed nearly the whole day until the night before I was at home. I had cutted some of the fur into a bag for little Echidna, so I had my hands free. As I was there, I knocked tired at the house-door. As the door swung open, an enourmes body got me into a crushing hug.


    "Son, I knew you would make it, I didn''t even doubted you for a SECOND!!!"


    I fidgeted to get out of the death-hug, but my dad wouldn''t let me go. But mom safed me


    "Bar-Scha! You are suffocating him!"   "Oh, sorry boy, I was just so happy" He scratched embaresed his back-head. After I got my breath back, I gestured back to were the nexu corpse was. "I hope I am worthy now."


    Mom and dad got seorius faces instantly and made their way out of the house to the corpse. At first they looked at the fur in what  the nexu was wrapped up. Then with a sad expresion, my dad looked at me. "Son, didn''t we say it had to be a predator ?" I looked at them with a confused look.


    "But mom, dad, there is a nexu in there. I just used the deer fur to transport it here."


    My parents looked at me with shock, adn they immidiatly began unwrapping the corpse. When they looked at the dead Nexu, they looked at each other with shock in their eyes.


    "Son, do you know what have here?" I looked at my mother in confusion again. "???hm, a nexu?"


    "Son that is a Nexu Matriach. How by the force did you defeat such an enemy?"


    So I began the story about my first day, how she had attacked me and I had survived it and that I just bearly made it. I showed them my scars for proof. I told about the traps, the deer, and how I tracked them. Then as I told them about the fight itself, I had a tought :"I think she was weakend from birth" "And how do you know that?" As mom asked that, I showed them the sleeping Echidna. "You managed to get her baby??! Wait, did she already had her eyes open??" My mother came with big steps into my directon, hand going behind her, where I tought she had her daggers.

 The time has come

    As my mother saw me protecting the little Echidna, her gaze softed a little bit and she put her hands a little to me to see "Just tell me Jar, did she open her eyes with you or before you got to her." I stared into her eyes and said with confident tone "She opened her eyes in my presence." At that she visible relaxed  and got in a comfortable stance "When it is like this, then you have great luck. Nexus make great companions. They can help you at hunting and when she is going to life with us, then her cent is going to keep other animals away from our home. Did you already name her?"


    At that I looked at her with a happy expression. "Yes, her name is Echidna!" "Echidna mmm, a good name, feminine and powerful"


    Than my dad butted in "Hey son, where is the deer you got this pelt from?" I told them where I buried the deer. Mom set off to get the deer for dinner. My dad and me starred at her vanishing into the forest. My dad layed one arm on my shoulder. "Son I am proud of you. And I love you."

    And so passed another 7 years. In these years I learned much from my parents. I learned how to preserve a pelt in the optimal way.     My little queen was also growing up fast. She was alreayd as big as a her mama. She and me went every day hunting. At first we always hunted for the family, then she could hunt for herself, and let me tell you, she can eat A LOT. I saw one time when she ate a whole one-horned deer for herself! But hey, a girl must grow right?


    Whatever, today was a special day, because today I is my 13th birthday, and as a present I would be able to go with my dad to an another world! Space!!! As I was unavare, my family has an space-ship! (A/N : I am too lazy to discribe it. Just look up Mandos ship from "The Mandalorian ")


    In asked him where he got it, and he just said he had an adventurous life when he was young. I think he and mom were bountyhunters, because one time when I was playing with Echidna in the house, I bumped against a wall, and that activated something that opened the whole wall, and what was behind were a collection of weapons. It was like a walk-in closet , just for weapons. And as I came to the end, there were two sets of armor : One I couldn''t recognize from who it was, it looked like a tribe-armor but upraded with technology. The other armor on the other hand I recognized instantly. The Helm wuth the T-shaped visor and the metal... That is a mandalorian armor! Just as I wanted to touch it. I heared my dad shouting. Echidna and me got out as fast as we could and I pressed the button I could see in the wall now, and run to him. On the walls were trophys from different type of animals, just like the head of Echidnas mother. I know that sound brutal, but Echidna doesn''t care abou it. For her, I am her family, and my parents are like siblings for her. She is really talkative, which I think is normal for "kids" and with her new ability, she nearly talked the whole day. Except when we were on the hunt, then she got in her serious mode.


    But whatever, today was the first day I would leave this planet and see the galaxy and other people! I was so excited!!

 The GALAXY

    My dad, me and Echidna went into the ship. My dad at first wanted to let echidna back because she was an exotic beat, and in the outer rim, there were not just one person who tought he could snacht her away to sell her for big money. So I instructed her to never leave my side when we got of the ship. We were flying in the direction of Dantooin, a forest planet like ours, but the difference was that other people also live there and it had apaerantly spaceport.


    We had a lot of time because we currently going to need a little more than a day to get to it, so I looked at my Status :

    As it look like, my skills are caped at five levels more then my level, because every time I tried it feels like I am hitting a wall. And I couldn''t go out hunting evryday because my parents forbid it to me, because it would destroy the balance of the forest we were residencing. I call BS, I mean c''mon, we are on a fucking FOREST PLANET!!! I don''t think I could hunt enought with my two lifetimes to destroy the balance of the forest. I tried ocasinily to sneak out, but ehter my stealth isn''t high level wnought, or my mom was just a reeeeeeealy light sleeper.


    Also, my stats made a huge jump. Because of the training I reivced from my dad, from which I am now sure is an mandalorian, and a high ranked one, I got an enourmes boost to my stats without the help of my Attribute Points. Now I already am above average even for a normal human adult. Also, we had our lttle ""Sparring-seasions", which were in normal talk "beating the shit out of you!" At the beginning I just standed there and tried to withstand the "training" at the best of my abilitys. When I finnaly hit Level 10, I could somehow witstand the onslaught of punches, kickes. but after my ad noticed that, he "notched a little up" and we were back to me being beatied black and blue. I had hope at the beginning that my mother would be somewhat helpfull, but she just gave me after my breating lectures about anatomy and the general build up of the most humanoid-people of the known galaxyThis book is hosted on another platform.     I also tried to use the Jedi-Holocron in my Inventory, anmd I even managed it, but inside were the basics of every Lightsaber-Form, but even ther first form was a little difficult for me. I mean I never hold a sword before, and it wasn''t like I had a lightsaber or an Instructor. I just had me, a stick I picked up in trhe forest and  alittle kitten which would laught at me for doing "Air-fighting". Mabey I really had to go to the Jedi-Temple, even when I was to old for them, even when it was just to brainwash the children from a young age. But mabey I could find a grey jedi or something like this to help me.

    My little girl was growing and that fast. She was curios of everything, just like a real human baby. Everytime we saw somethoing new, she would ask me tousend questions about it. But I couldn''t hear her for the first time. I was to fascinated to watch outside the cockpit. There it was. The vast galaxy! I was excited but also calm at the same time. As I watched the galaxy, the stars and the other objects floating in the vacuum, I noticed how little I still was. Somewhere ot ther could be a old sith lord or an other evil something that wanted to take away everthing I had in this world. And I don''t wan that! I love my parents, even with their strict training, they never forgot to express their love with me, and I would cuddle with them as much as I could.


    I had to get stronger! Never again would I let me or others I love be taken away because of circumstances Liek thsoi Truck!

 Datooin

    3 POV :


    I was flying the Ship to Dantooin, where me and Jar had to buy a few necessities like salt and so on. I saw how Jar was watching the space, and I tought back to my first time I was in the outer space. Aaahhh that were the good old days! But I wouldn''t want to change anything from my current life. I had a loving wife, a son I could not be more proud of, and something I could call home.


    But I think it is good we are going somewhere else. Jar thinks I didn''t noticed, but he grew more and more restles, he would be out in the forest more and later. I think it wouldn''t be long before he would make his own way in the galaxy. I knew the day would come, but I didn''t tought it would come so early, I mean he is just 13! Well, I am not going to let him out into the unknown without being prepared. I already tought about our next season of fighting.


    At first his mother was against it, but I made it clear that no son of me would be beated in a fist fight! He was already pretty strong for someone his age, I don''t think anyone without a good enought training and experince could beat him.


    I looked at my son who watched the stars, and I couldn''t be more proud of who had already become and who he will become.


    Jar POV :


    We nearly were there. I could already see the p¨¹laned, and we were just a few hours away from a whole new world and finally some other people than my dad and mum.


    *Want to see! want to see!*


    Little echidna was bumping against me to see something. Her girlish voice rang in my mind like a shrill bell because of her excitement.


    When we were landing, I nearly jumped out of the ship with echidna hot on my heels. I was nearly ot when a strong grip hold me and echidna back and pulled us back in the ship.


    "So listen kid, even when we are on a pretty unpopulared planet, don''t"


    "I know dad, don''t talk with strangers, hold Echidna on a tight leash and be always in your eyesight. "


    "Hrmpf, at least you pay attention when you get something told". With that he realesed me into the world. Me and echidna sprinted into the little village and looked at everthing and it was... it was...


    Underwhelming.


    I tought we would get to see cool spaceships, stormetroops (Even when there are not existing now) and in general sci-fie, so seing an normal ass-looking village was a little dissapointing. My father saw my expresion and had a good hearthy laught.

    I was going to be sulk, but then I heared the scream. My dad and me turned to were it came from. "Son, I will alow you to comne with me, but you have to follow every order to the worsd, do you understand?!"


    "Yes sir." I said without hesitation. I know from hunting with my dad that when we were in a dangerous situation, questions are "yes sir" or "no sir" period.


    We sprinted after the screaming, which I could identify as two feminine screams.


    *Echidna, search them*


    Echidna nodded and sprinted before us and we followed suit. After a few minutes we saw the source. A women and her daughter were harrased by a 5 shady looking guys. Echidna released a bone-chilling growl and the thugs turned around. They looked average at best, but one stood out like a sore thumb. He had a rat like face with the right teeth for the face. He also had a scar that wenz from his forehead to his chin.


    He looked at me and my dad with a sneer on his face.


    "Bois, loks like we got som moa bois who loks for som fun." He cracked a mad laught in which his lackais falled in. I balled my fists but my dad gave me a look to not engage.


    "Sir, mabey we can handle this out? I got here 100 Credits, how about you leaf this mother with her daughter away ?"


    Rat-face lookes greedy at the credits mny dad got in his hand "500, ands no less". My father sighted and gave me a sign with his fingers.


    *Echi, take the the guy holding the women.* Echidna instantly went for him, and she and the guy went with him screaming to the ground. The guys were to shocked of the suuden change, and that costet them. My dad went to the two guys by the daughter, which left rat-face and another one of hios lackays. I got my blaster fast enought to get the lackay, but rat-face recovered suprisingly fast and jumped at me. We both went down and went into a muddy brawl. I was scared and shocked at first, that was my first humand life that I ever took, but I had not the luxery to think about that because rat-face was pummeling his fists mad at me.


    My training with my dad kicked in and I reversed the situatuion. Now I was sitting atop of him and rained down a rain of fists. I punched and punched and punched. The guy under me was already dead a while again and tears where stream,ing down my checks. My dad had to rip me of of the dead body and just holded me. I cried like a baby. All the fears, all the sadness which had build up inside of me from the beginninbg I was sended here. MY death, the lost iof my old family, and now I had killed two human beings. I knew there were trash and they would have done really traumatic things with the mother-daughter duo, but still, there were humans.


    My dad and me were kneeling on the ground there for nearly 10 minutes. Unoticed Echidna had sneaked behind me and was comforting me from behind.


    "My son, I know that must be hard for you, but just listen. You have safed with very high probability two innocent life, and that for 5 lifes which would have doen other shady and vicious deeds. So don''t cry about there deaths, think about the lifes you have safed."


    I had calmed down considirably as he was talking


    "Dad?"


    "Yes?"


    "Thank you"

 The Rest

    We where standing there and my dad calmed me down. Then after a few minutes a little voice called ou


    "E-e-e-excuse  me?"


    M dad and me looked up to see a 6 year looking girl with tears in her eyes looking at us.


    "What is it little girl?" asked my fatgher grumpy. We hadn''t so much father-son moments, and he wasn''t pleased that such a moment was now interruped.


    "I-I-I am sorry but my mom is big hurt and I hope you help" she talked with us broken. I concluded that she couldn''t talk really good, but then, we were at the ass of the universe. My dad got a softer look and than looked at me "Are you good son?" "Yes , I got it."


    He hugged me one last toime and then went with the little girl to see after the women we safed. As dad got away, echidna came and cuddled with me *Is Jar ok? Why has Jar water in his eyes?* she asked with girly voice. MAn how do you explain an animal which was killing for fun the remorse you feel when you kill one of your own race


    *You see echi, it isn''t for all the races to kill each other. Exspecialy when it was unnecessary. We could have solve this peacefull, but they were to greedy.*


    Echidna looked at me with a funny look on her face.*I don''t understand that Jar.* With a sight I shot her  asmile.*It is ok echidna, you will understand when you get older.* by me I tought *I hope so at least.* with that echidna was satified and leaned against me with a purr, and I was remainded just how young echidna was still in her thinking. I looked at my notifications I got from the fight. I had discovered there was an option button, and there I could change some things, like how much damage one got or how much I got, because I also discovered that the hp are not like in the game that is was like in real life, so no fighting till 0 Health.

    Nice! Finaly I got my level up again! But then I remembered how I got this level and I got somber again.

    I was nearly tempted to use my attribute points, but no. I could still juice some attribute points out of my training. But I could finaly raise my Skill levels, even when it was just one level. I just close dmy Status as my dad came around a corner with the daughter and her now healed mom behind him. The little girl was hidden behind her mom, even when i didn''t understand why she was a fraid of us, I mean we just safed her and her mother.


    My dad started talking. "" Son, it looked we just safed exactly the ones we where searching for. May I introduce : Mai Schanso and her little girl Mary. Me,your mom and Mai are old friends!"


    I studied the women that went behind my dad. She was quite a beauty when I can say that. She looked like she was in her late twentys. Long , black hair was flowing down her head, and two clear blue eyes watched me and studied me also.


    "He has the looks of Sasa." She smiled at me, that was like, and it felt like the first time I was against Echidnas mother. I gulped audible and  shoked the hand she had offered me.


    "It''s nice meeting you Mrs. Schanso."


    She smiled again, but this time it ws a war, welcoming one "It''s also a pleasure for me! C''mon mary, say hello to thois nice boy." Mary looked from behind her mother and came slowly forward and took my hand "It is good meeting you."


    Before I could reply soemthing, she already was behind her mother again. I looked at Mai, and she hot me an apologic look. "I am sorry Jar, she is not used to strangers outside the shop. "


    "Hrp" my dad cought. "Thats all good and so on, but we still have something to do." I looked at my dad confused and he explained "That were the low scum. Mai here told me that the bandits have a hideout close to the village. We need to clear them out, and that will be a good training for echidna and you when it comes to infiltration.


    "Ok dad" I said with firm voice. I cried and mourned, but they are not woth be mourned for. With steel and resolve in my heart echidna, me and dad went into the forest.

 The Hideout

    Dad and me sneaked on the ground while echidna was in the trees, watching with her better eyesight for enemys. Me and dad where in each others eyesfew, blasters at the ready, ready for everthing. My dad had his armor in the ship, already when we had our little clash with the Tughs. I think when they would have saw him in his armor, they would have shit themself !  Now he and me had light leather armor with some metal fabricated into it where the vitals where like heart and so on...


    We were sneaking in the forest when Echidna talked *Jar, I can see them. They are 200 meters away from your current position.*


    *Alright, thanks Echi.*


    Like I said when we are on the hunt, echidna is just business. I signaled with handsight my dad make me learn the positions of our targets, like when we where on the hunt.


    He nodded and we sneak onward. After 5 minutes we could see the champ. It  consist of 1 big tent and 3 smaller which where around the big one. My dad signaled me to take care abou the two little tents on the right. I sign him that I had understood and went to do my job. Echidna followed me in the trees. I came to the first tent. I told echidna to come down and to wait behind me.


    I looked around the corner to get a headcount, and I could see 2 guys. *Echi, you take the farther guys, I take the one cleaning his weapon.* Echidna just nods and got into  position. I sneaked behind the guy who was cleaning his blaster.


    *1...2...3!!!* On 3 echidna jumped the guy she was asigned for ant bite his throat out with one bite. I got my vibroblade, holded his mouth and slit his throat with all my might. He tried to get out of my grip, but with stats that were over the norm of an adult, he couldn''t do anything. After a few seconds struggling, he ceased moving, and I layed him gently on the ground. I watched his face which was distorted into a mask of shock and fear. Before I could fall into selfpity again, Echidna came from behind and rubed herself like a cat on my body


    *Come Jar, we have to go.* I tore my g<ze away and looked into the red eyes of my trusted companion


    *Ok.* I told her with a sad smile.


    We went to the next tent, which had the same amount of bandit which echidna and me dispached as easy as earlier, and made our way to the big tent. I had dissabled the notification to not pop up in an unfavorable moment. Dad, me and echhidna met at the entrance to the big tent.If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen.     He turned zo us and signaled with the handsights that there were 8 guys minimum in the tent. He signaled me to get the guys with echidna on the right and he would get the ones on the left. We went into position, adn my dad counted down, he with handsight and I in my mind for echidna


    1...2...3!!!


    We sprung into motion. I yanked my vibrodagger into the head of the firts guy, had my blaster at the ready and started firing. My dad made the same, just that he could put down 3 guys in the time i needed for my 1, but hey, he has much more experience than me!


    Echidna was just like the fighting-machine I knew. After her firts guy she had ripped the throut out, she jumped down and started tio target them with her tail-whip,which also made notable damage, and when their where distracted, she went for the kill. We had a hard time when they baricaded themself and started shooting us, but I just commanded echidna to hide and my dad and me started to pick them up one by one. Good that they had bad to no experience with blasters. We decimated them fast and after a few minutes, it was over.


    I looked at the corpses and than at my hands. What am I becoming? Will I bevome a blood-thirsty, evil monster that will destroy and kill just because he likes it?


    *And would that be so wrong?* I look up. I am in an empty room, and before me stand someone. No, not someone, but I stand there. The only difference was that this me had dirty orange eyes.


    *Would it be really so bad? You could cut down everyone you want and that is in your way without thinking about the consequences. Wouldn''t that be perfect?*


    That has to be the dark side of me! *NO, I will never bow to you! I am the one who choose his lifeway, not you!*


    *Tch, we will see.*


    Me and the dark me began fight each other, but not with pysical force, no we just fight with our force. He was shooting his force-lightning at me, but I blocked with my telekinese. I tried to make him slower with my cryokinese, or to make him burn with my pyrokinese, but it didn''t work.


    *Hahaha, you think something like this little tricks can harm me?! I will show you real power!!!*


    He collected his lightning and force into a ball and I made the same with my force, and with a scream we both realesed it


    BOOOOOOOOM!!!!


    The last think I could see before I was sucked into the darck was my dark me going down.
