    A boy is standing in an infinite white space. As soon as he woke up he began to hear the voice which echoes in the space.     A burst of laughter began to echo in the space and after it died down, he got a reply

 Night in a forest

    As she roamed, she began to search a place for shelter as well as sharp stones which she can use for defend. After considerable effort she had found a cave, well one can''t say it a cave as it only has an overgrown rock from a small hill acting as a canopy along with a depression on the wall in which an adult person can fit in.


    Though while roaming she had found some caves and hollow trees, the risk of it being an animal shelter and the presence of various insects made her abandoning it.


    Sun began to set. She had collected some dried grasses and stuffed it in the cave and then cover herself completely, to avoid the cold of the night, and to hide her presence. As the sky becomes dark and there is a sudden drop in temperature.


    Due to the absence of the sun, temperature drops. Rain began to fall. Lightning illuminates the dark forest providing a chance to the prey to avoid their hunt. The roaring of the animals is deafening her ears. To distract herself from noises, she began to sharpen the stones in her hand. There is a sudden clap of thunder and she watches a nearby tree has caught in fire, illuminating the surrounding.


    In the light, she sees a black shadow about 2m long and of 1m height fighting with another animal covered in scales, protruding horns and of the same size. The black shadow attacks the armored animal while armored one defends itself using its horns. The fight goes for sometimes and blood began to flow with the rainwater. At last, the fight ended when the black shadow had taken down the armored one after crushing its windpipe with his jaw. The black shadow began to tear apart the armored animal corpse in rage. After eating a big chunk of flesh, it begins to drag the animal towards its hideout. She can only watch the whole scene in awe. After some time, she fell into her dreams.

 Day in a forest

    When she wakes up, the rain has stopped, and the sun began to shine. The growing noise of the stomach makes her remember her hunger. After removing the grass on herself, she begins to walk towards the battle scene. The raging fire is now stopped, but the tree is still burning. Around the tree, she can still see the effects of the battle. She found a small burning branch and tied it up with some wet leaves. After returning to the so-called cave, she cut the burning branch into pieces with her stone knife and started to put the dried grass on it. After some time, the fire began to burn again.


    Then she returns to a direction from which she had gone yesterday. There is a hollow tree which she had first decided as a shelter but as the dead tree is a house of thousands of long worms, she had dropped that idea.


    She picks up some twigs and sharpened its end with a stone knife. As she found the tree wriggling with worms, she began to pierce them with the sharpened twigs. After trying sometimes, she able to catch 4 long ones.


    After roasting them, she decided to eat them, but one can see the reluctance and hesitation in her eye. After closing her eyes, she bites the worm and begins to chew it.     After satisfying her hunger she again started her journey. Yesterday night she had sawed the direction in which the black shadow had dragged the corpse. There is a rotten dead body of a human, the same age as her. The body is devoid of internal organs, and the remaining flesh is feasted by the insects. Her face got distorted due to horror and as she tried to run away from it, only because of pure instinct she moved her body.


    A whip-like thing has suddenly attacked her but due to her sudden movement, she has able to avoid it. She tried to run but due to shock her legs become wobbly and she fell. As soon as she falls the thing caught her legs. The whip-like thing is a giant snake, about 7m long and 20 cm wide coiling around her body and opening his mouth wide to swallow her up.

 Battling a snake

    The snake is squeezing her small body, trying to crush her to death. First, she resisted, but after some time, her resistance decreases, her head drop down, and her breath becomes much fainter. When the snake perceives her condition, he let out his tongue to taste the air, and as soon as it comes near to her head the girl opens her eyes and bit the tongue of the snake.


    The sudden injury makes the snake loosen his grip and giving her the chance to remove one of her thin limbs, and she stabbed the stone knife on the lower jaw of the snake from inside, as she is afraid that due to outer scales the blunt knife will not pierce it. The snake began to convulse and lashes her out with his tail. It''s too late for her to dodge, so she tried to block it and take the burnt on her left arm.


    She felt that someone had lashed her with a stick of tens of kilos. She began to scream and due to intensity of pain, she began to roll on the ground. Broken bones are protruding from her hand making a grotesque site for any viewer.  Azathoth

    She feels that the eyes of the snake are still staring her, peeking into her soul, and as she ran, the snake began to follow her, and lastly, due to exhaustion she falls. She can only see the gaping mouth of the snake coming closer to gulp her down.


    As she tried to block it with her hands a pain ran down in her body, making her open her eyes. She felt relieved as that was just a dream. Her back and forehead are soaked with sweat. As her mind become clearer, she observes her surroundings.


    It is a fairly large cave, and she is lying on dried grasses. The pain was due to the movement of her hand. Her right hand, which has gashes, is now covered with some strange leaves and ointment, and her left hand, which was broken, is straightened out with a stick and tied to it.


    As she looks more into the cave, there are some basic things like a bonfire, some unknown fruits and leave, furs, and skin of animals. She also found some dried jerky that awakens her appetite. Even though she feels agitated due to current circumstances, she knows that in the current condition, it is best to satisfy her hunger. As she is chewing the jerky, she heard a sound from the entrance of the cave.


    On the entrance is a boy, same year as her or maybe a little older, ash-colored hair, ruby-colored big eyes, he is a bit tall compared to her and even though he looks healthy but he is thin and gives the aura of a weak person.     As soon as the boy enters the cave, he saw the girl which he had saved. She is chewing the jerky, which he had accumulated after considerable effort. The girl looks petite, but he had seen that determination, which she had shown in the fight and her strength. Well, there is also something which has made him take an interest in her. He gives an honest smile to the girl and said


    "How are you girl? What''s your name?"

    He again gestures towards her hand, asking her condition. She showed a painful expression while moving her hands up and down.


    How can this be possible? Azathoth exclaimed in his heart. The medicine he had applied to her is only to prevent the further rotting of the injuries due to the climatic conditions. The nerves of her hands were damaged. Bones got fractured and protruded out. Though he set them, but to feel that her hands are attached to herself will be a miracle in itself.


    But now to feel pain, and she can even move those hands after remaining unconscious for the whole three days. He begins to smile just like a child who gets something interesting.

 Magic

    Luciana just stares dumbfounded to the person who is smiling foolishly in front of her after asking her condition. After sometime Azathoth returns towards the entrance as he has forgotten something. Luciana''s eyes followed him and got surprised because a snakehead is dangling at the cave entrance. After looking closely, it is the same snake that had attacked her and died under her hands. Azathoth holds the snake and starts pulling it into the cave. If one looks closely, the snake is touching neither the wall nor the floor. It is strangely levitating few centimeters above the ground. From this, she can understand that Azathoth is someone who can use magic.


    Magic is something that only one out of thousand able to use it, so it''s a rare thing, for commoners, it''s a miracle. Unlike others, she knows considerably about the magic in her world. As magic is one of the reasons due to which she had never been able to hold her head high and meet the gaze of the people who disdained her.


    Magic can do anything, but it depends on the person to which extend he or she can understand and use it. And in her family who are known for it, she is someone who had never been able to use it, she can''t do even simple basic, while her siblings are already known as geniuses.


    Azathoth is paying attention to Luciana, and as she has not shown any surprise to magic, he can assume that it is not new to her. After putting the long corpse of the snake into the cave he began to dismantle it with his dagger. It was the only personal thing other than his clothes which he had able to brought here as it always tied to his waist.


    After giving much effort in dismantling the corpse. He separates the skin, flesh, and internal organs. This snake can numb its prey by giving electrical shock so its skin for makeshift armor, against some minor lightning attack, will be useful.

    Luciana is just staring at the boy as he is dismantling the snake. His work doesn''t seem meticulous, letting her know that he is also a newbie. After observing the cave, she can say that it is in use for quite some time, so he may have come earlier than her in this place and naturally will know more about it.     Her right hand is now almost recovered from deep gashes, and only scabs are left. Her left hand, in which bones were piercing out from the skin are nowhere to see. She can feel that her bones are joining again, and her flesh and skin is recovering from the grotesque site it was left before.


    After bandaging her again with the leaves and ointment made from different fruits, we eat the leftover jerky and prepare to sleep. The sound of thunder and rain is producing a unique symphony, helping her go into her dreams.

 Recovering

    Azathoth is not able to sleep and remain thinking about what happened today. The recovery of Luciana is far better than what he expected. No, better will not be a good word.     The cave is in the hill, which is just a small part of the enormous mountain range. The only way to reach the forest is to go via creepers, grown on the hill. Using such a method, going down is next to impossible in her current condition. She could only sigh and return into the cave.


    After some time, Azathoth returns. He is carrying a bag made of leaves which he put in the corner.


    "Had yo-u go-ne ou-t?"

 Exploring Inner Level

    "Again..."


    Luciana can only let out a sigh while hiding from the herd of armored monkeys. These monkeys are almost 1m tall and extremely nimble as they travel on the trees.     She is now wearing leather armor, knee length boots, skull cap made from the leather of the snake which she had hunted.


    At that time, she was surprised by Azathoth''s sewing skills.


    They are exploring the outer region of the inner layer of the forest. Their destination is the lake which can be seen from the cave. By judging the distance, it will take 1 full day to get there. Yesterday, during lunchtime, Azathoth had suggested their destination, but she had opposed it. As Azathoth had already explained to her about the horrors of the inner zone, she can''t understand why they have to go there if they can just go to the outer layer and then out of this forest.     While on the journey, they came across the tree with large fruits. Some fruits were lying on the ground.


    She swears, just because of curiosity she had lifted one of the fruits when Azathoth is not paying attention to her. As she inspects the fruit, something pierces in her hand letting her drop the fruit. Fruit began to vibrate and then exploded, 14-15 beetle-like insects, come out from the fruit, and attacked her. As she tries to dodge them, other fruits also exploded.

    She heard Azathoth''s scream from behind, but she doesn''t get the chance to punch him and say that her name is Luciana.


    As the insects started to attack her. Their overwhelming number had forced them to run away and lose their direction. Due to which they had mistakenly entered the area of those monkeys and again chased out by them.


    While lying in the mud pool, she can''t do anything but regret her decision to touch that fruit.


    "Alas! It''s my mistake, to not feed you properly. Then you hadn''t picked up some random fruit."


    Luciana can only grit her teeth while hearing the constant jab from him. After some effort, they able to move out of the mud pool. Cleaning themselves from mud and crawling insects, they decided to postponed today''s journey and to find the way back home. From the sun they perceive the general direction and again started their journey toward the mountain range.


    Learning from the previous time, she followed Azathoth like a shadow. As they are walking, suddenly a bolt of lightning has fallen on the tree, not much far away. Azathoth has given Luciana a meaningful look, and they both began to run toward that tree. They both understand just how abnormal it is for a bolt of lightning to fall out in the broad daylight.


    It may happen that two beasts are fighting and if one of them died or even seriously injured than they can also reap some reward.

 Mervin

    As they get near to the fight scene, contrary to their expectation, three humans of their age are fighting.


    On one side, a person is carrying a sword, his jet-black hair and icy blue eyes, make him look like a protagonist of some story. On the other side is the pair of twins, one boy, and one girl, they both have dark blue hair and yellow eyes, and though they look beautiful, the threatening aura makes them look like villains. All three of them are wearing high-quality cloth, which is informing others that they must be high-class nobles, and how the twins acted, make him remember someone.


    Azathoth can''t help but think that the fight between them looks like a picture book. Where a single protagonist fights with the villains. Should he go out and start helping that person. Fortunately, he had already read many of it and is not affected by the righteous aura, while learning from the previous mistake he tightly holds the hand of the girl beside him.


    Luciana is watching the fight between the male villain and the protagonist. The barrage of lightning is discharged by the male twin, but it is easily dodged by the black-haired one. It is just like he had calculated the direction of each bolt of lightning.     "It''s not that I''m greedy but it''s that you can''t collect it. Arthur¡± While talking Mervin''s sword begins to vibrate and when he slashes,  a gush of wind released from his sword.


    As the attack is going to reach Arthur, it suddenly stopped as it is blocked by an invisible shield.


    Luciana has properly seen it; the attack is blocked by the female twin. Even Mervin is surprised after watching his attack getting blocked. In this little opening, a lightning flash occurred and Arthur is standing in front of Mervin, punching towards his face. Not getting time to dodge or block. Marvin tastes the full-blown attack of a thunder clad fist on his face. He gets blown away and collides with the trunk of the nearby tree.

    As Luciana is watching, Azathoth suddenly gets up and said heroically.
