However, during an extermination experiment conducted by the [Deleted] government, Hexagon-20 was used to kill the bacteria, Bluehills, which during the extermination process, the genetic information of Hexagon-20 was altered by the Bluehills, creating the virus that we all know today, the Pentagon-91...¡± Extract from page 2 of ¡®The Great Outbreak¡¯ by Zhi Cong: ¡°The exact reason how Pentagon-91 left the research facility was still unknown to this day. Many theorists claimed that the breach was caused during a live sample testing, where a white rat was infected by the virus. Although the rat was ultimately exterminated, the lice on its body escaped to other non-infected rat containers, and after a few levels, the D-class also known as the unprotected personals in the research facility, are infected with the virus. Given its long-dormant period (which varies from a few months to even years), the virus was able to infect 30% of the world population before the global governments realized the existence of the virus in their countries. Thus, most attempts to stop the spread proved to be too late¡¡± Extract from page 3 of ¡®The Great Outbreak¡¯ by Zhi Cong: ¡°¡which allowed Pentagon-91 to evolve into Pentagon-91-A (Pt91A for short) which have a mortality probability of over [Deleted] per cent¡Carriers of Pt91A will show no symptoms for months, but when the virus was ready, harmful symptoms such as [deleted] and [deleted] will start to appear¡In the end, the carriers will [deleted], which releases a gas nicknamed ¡®Plasma cloud¡¯ that contains quadrillion number of virus-carrying droplets that can fully submerge any surfaces within the radius of [deleted] meters¡¡± Extract from section D, page 42 of ¡®2069 United Nation Report¡¯ published and distribute by the United Nation: ¡°¡As Pt91A proved to be extremely infectious, even in a dormant state, all diagnosed carriers must be put into the depressurized isolation chambers. Class F doctors, also known as the ¡®Finale Doctors¡¯ have the responsibility of visiting all Isolation camps/towns and [deleted] all carriers of Pt91A¡¡± The year 2092, Month December, date [Unknown] Location: Isolation Camp 4001 The new ice age had long arrived, snow, ice and blizzard removed every different colour other than white from the surface of Earth. The once oily grassland had turned to an Ocean of white. Any droplets of water exposed in the open will transform into blobs of ice in a matter of milliseconds. Surrounding the top rim of the pressure door towards the Isolation Camp were dagger-like ice-pillars that extended way beyond one meter. Yet, two persons crouched together beside the door, using their inflatable suit, they looked like two large balloons. With a shaking, low voice, one of the people asked the other, ¡°Are you sure about the date?¡± ¡°I am very sure,¡± the other replied, ¡°that guy is probably stuck in a storm or the road is overly thickened with snow.¡± ¡°I hope we can just wait for him inside the camp,¡± one claimed while pressing the ¡®Heat¡¯ button on his hazard suit rapidly, ¡°we¡¯ll need to recharge our suits in an hour, gosh, I¡¯m fucking freezing.¡± ¡°Just a little more,¡± his partner took out a binocular and searched, ¡°Quite a heavy storm today, can¡¯t see shit outside of 30 meters.¡± The wind raged on and the two men moved and squeezed more tightly together. They lowered their faces into their suits, preventing their skin to crack. Wrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnn¡ A low pitched and heavy mechanical noise finally appeared in their ears. The men looked up and changed their suits¡¯ mode into ¡®Movement Mode¡¯ to reduce the amount of inflation around their bodies. WRRRRRRRRNNNNNN¡ ¡°Finally here,¡± the men muttered. Slowly, a gigantic dark figure appeared through the thick white screen, as it moved closer, its powerful searchlights caused the men to shift their focus away. It was a former tracked AFV (Armored Fighting Vehicle) that was used for troop transportations and scouting mission. The trapezium-shaped AFV was painted white with a gigantic red cross painted on its upper front plate. Instead of its missile-carrying turret, the AFV different turret with a weapon like attachment that appeared too large for machine gun yet too small for a howitzer. The AFV stopped right before the men, then it turned around, allowing its rare to face the entrance towards the Isolation camp. Bzzzz¡CLUNK! The armour plates on the rare of the AFV moved aside, forming a large entrance for its passenger to exit.If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. Thump! Thump! The men watched in horror, as the person, or a mysterious creature appeared from the inside of the AFV. Its heavy footsteps shook the ground and it stopped before the men and looked down from a meter above. ¡°Scanning subjects.¡± Instead of a face, the person had a thick carbonized steel visor protecting on its head. In the middle of the plate was a large circular green flashing ¡®light bulb¡¯, surrounding it, like the eyes of a spider, were a few dozen smaller ¡®light bulbs¡¯. Below the visor was a gas mask-like object, with the left side attached to an oversized air filter while the right side attached to a tube that connected to a life support container behind the back of the person. The rest of the person¡¯s body appeared to be half nuclear-proof polymer suit and half mechanical armour. Nervously, the men noticed a few machine gun ammo boxes hanging on the waist of the person, but they couldn¡¯t spot his weapon. Yet, the most unique part of the person¡¯s costume was probably the large cowboy hat, that has several bullet holes on top of it. ¡°Simple Scanning complete subjects: safe,¡± the person¡¯s voice sounded like a broken radio. ¡°Ummm¡¡± one man finally spoke up, ¡° are you doctor Riley¡?¡± ¡°Yes, I am,¡± despite the poor quality of its voice, the huge person¡¯s tone of speech warmed up, it reached out with its huge gloved hand, ¡°Class F doctor Riley at your service.¡± The man shook the doctor¡¯s hand uneasily, ¡°Nice to you meet you, I am Roy and this is my son Eric.¡± ¡°Nice to meet you too Roy and Eric,¡± the doctor replied, ¡°my temperature indicator said that it is currently minus thirty-eight degrees, guess I should better go in before you guys become statues of ices.¡± ¡°No problem doctor Riley,¡± Roy laughed, he turned towards the entrance and entered a few passcodes on it. As a result, the centre of the door started to rotate, then the rims around it followed, finally, the whole circular door started to rotate like needles on a clock. CLAN! The rotations stopped and the door swung open slowly. After the three entered, the door closed quickly from behind. ¡°Ahh~¡± Eric removed his suit quickly once the warm breeze surrounded him, ¡°Feels good to be back.¡± ¡°Your temperature control system seemed to be working fine,¡± the doctor claimed, ¡°in my previous visit to another camp, their heat-sensing mechanism malfunctioned, which a half of them died to the cold.¡± ¡°That is sad to hear,¡± replied Roy who removed his suit swiftly, ¡°luckily, we got a few Engineers who constructed all the isolation camps and they can maintain the systems here.¡± Which, he pointed at the huge turbine on top of the ceiling. The isolation camp seemed just like a normal town, but with no high-rise buildings nor cars, instead of the sun, the campuses nuclear lighting systems that can last for centuries without any need to resupply. The houses are built by 3D printers, which at the corner of the camp, a few new homes are under construction. The people appeared to be doing their mandarin tasks, but all of them wore grey coloured masks across their faces. ¡°Where are the depressurized isolation chambers?¡± the doctor asked. ¡°This way,¡± Roy led the huge doctor down the street and stopped at a few houses that seemed to be more like steel blocks, ¡°we currently have around fifty of these and we also got another hundred of those normal isolation chambers.¡± ¡°What is the pressure grade?¡± the doctor moved towards one of the chambers and placed his mechanical hand on the wall to read its other specifications. ¡°Grade 8.¡± Roy replied, ¡°do you want to do your examination here?¡± ¡°Sure,¡± the doctor opened the thick entrance door of the depressurized isolation chamber, ¡°summon your citizens.¡± Within an hour, a long line of people formed outside of the depressurized isolation chamber, a room of 5 meters was left between each person even within each family. ¡°Don¡¯t move around!¡± Roy shouted through a megaphone, ¡°No matter if you are in a family nor with friends, you must keep a distance of five meters between each other!¡± ¡°Who are we seeing Mr Roy?¡± a kid about six who is wearing an adult grade air filter, dragged Roy as he walked past, ¡°Why can¡¯t I stay with my mom?¡± Patiently, Roy smiled at the kid through his mask, ¡°you are going to see the best doctor in the world. She¡¯ll, sorry, I am not sure of the doctor¡¯s gender yet, but the doctor gonna give you a little check and, done!¡± ¡°Check what? Mr Roy?¡± the kid continued his question. Roy hesitated a bit, and finally said, ¡°to check if you have peed your bed last night.¡± ¡°No he won¡¯t,¡± the kid laughed, but Roy had moved away down the line. The kid watched disappointedly at Roy, but his attention was soon caught by Doctor Riley¡¯s robotic voice from within the chamber, ¡°the first person, please come in.¡± An elderly woman who was first in line walked into the isolation chamber. As soon as her eyes met with the appearance of the doctor, she took a deep breath through her mask, ¡°So it is true¡¡± ¡°Please don¡¯t let my appearance deceive you,¡± the doctor noticed its patient¡¯s worries, ¡°I¡¯m just human wearing a piece of portable examination equipment as well as a super-strong air filter. You know, I have to clean up the remains of plasma clouds sometimes and I have to be fully submerged in chlorine.¡± ¡°Thank you,¡± the woman said, ¡°sorry, I heard a few stories about F¡Doctors like you¡¡± ¡°Not a problem,¡± the doctor laughed through its electronic speaker which started to make a buzzing sound, ¡°sorry, I have to repair my speaking device later, alright, shall I start the check?¡± ¡°Go ahead good doctor,¡± the woman replied and stood very still. The doctor pressed a green switch on his left arm and suddenly, its visor split through the middle and the green ¡®light bulb¡¯ was pushed out, exposing the inside which is a mess of tiny radio-dish-like detectors as well as a few laser pointers. ¡°Okay,¡± after a few charging noises, the doctor pulled the two-piece of the visor even further apart, making its ¡®face¡¯ like a huge solar panel, ¡°you may close your eyes for a bit, and I¡¯ll tell you when to open them.¡± The woman shut her eyes tightly and a dark filter deployed on her mask. FLASH! In a sudden, the whole room filled with light, all the shadows were gone, only pure brightness. The ¡®light bulbs¡¯ on the doctor¡¯s face turned into mini suns, and the woman could feel the intense heat generated by the lighting. ¡°All done!¡± the light intensity dimmed, and the doctor pushed its visor back to the original form, ¡°All your stats are fine, but your blood pressure is a bit high, I¡¯d suggest you follow this diet for a month, here you go.¡± A small piece of receipt was printed out from the doctor¡¯s thick armour-plated arm. ¡°Thank you, good doctor,¡± the woman left with her instructions. ¡°Next!¡± A young man who dressed in historical army uniform entered, eyes closed, he had two pistol holders beside his waist, each had a large calibre handgun inside, ¡°I already know the drill, just get it done already, I have a date later.¡± ¡°No problem,¡± the doctor readied its visor. FLASH! A long pause. ¡°Are you done yet?¡± the young man asked impatiently, he could hear some strange mechanical noises from the doctor. ¡°Yes, you may open your eyes,¡± the doctor claimed. As the world reappeared in front of him, the young man saw the doctor holding a green pill, he asked nervously, ¡°what¡¯s that?¡± ¡°I am very sorry to inform you that,¡± the doctor said slowly through its speaker, ¡°you¡¯ll need to spend the rest of the week inside this chamber.¡± ¡°Why?¡± ¡°You are infected.¡± The words were like dumbbells the weighed down the young man¡¯s body, crushing him to the ground, ¡°is that the cure?¡± ¡°This?¡± the doctor looked down at the tiny pill, ¡°it is something that can end your suffering very quickly.¡± ¡°NO!¡± the young man cried, ¡°Can I just be quarantined, and I¡¯ll make sure I wear my mask everywhere I go?¡± ¡°That is not an option,¡± the doctor said solemnly and stood up, ¡°that is exactly how this world what it is right now. You have one week to prepare all the things in life.¡± ¡°Can I just leave this isolation camp?¡± the young man attempted. ¡°Where will you go then?¡± the doctor argued back, ¡°If you go to another camp, you are just there to rain death upon them.¡± ¡°¡¡± the young man said nothing more, ¡°fine, give me the pills.¡± The doctor cautiously passed the large, green pill towards him. BAM! The sound of the gunshot filled the room. The young man was holding both of his pistols, before his inevitable death that is. ¡°Quite fast,¡± the doctor swung his huge revolve shaped pistol with an extended barrel, ¡°just another millisecond, you could have shot me, but you may never penetrate my armour.¡± On the young man¡¯s forehead, was a tiny hole with no blood spelt at all, instead, a white cream appeared from the inside that automatically filled the hole. The young man¡¯s pistols reached the ground, and his body finally collapsed. At the same time, the doctor¡¯s cowboy hat started to blast a mysterious gas, a deadly, greenish gas that is. ¡°I am sorry,¡± the doctor gestured at the dead body as the whole room was filled with the gas. Report: Isolation Camp 4001 is well maintained, but low-level infections were occurring. Four out of the seven Pt91A carriers cooperated and stayed in the depressurized isolation chambers. Yet, the rest of the carriers needed to be terminated by force. Report complete. Isolation Camp #4220 ¡°To the town of Agua Fria rode a stranger one fine day Hardly spoke to folks around him didn''t have too much to say No one dared to ask his business no one dared to make a slip For the stranger there among them had a big iron on his hip¡¡± ¡°Big iron on his hip~¡± the doctor sang as it drove its trusty AFV through the snow. The inside of the AFV was very surprisingly spotless. With all the surfaces rubbed clean and shiny with detergent and anti-gene fluids (a type of poison that destroys DNAs and RNAs). Bleep. The doctor pressed on the automap. ¡°All civilian transport routes are blocked,¡± the AFV¡¯s built-in control system said while presenting the satellite map, ¡°request to switch to off-road mode.¡± ¡°Go ahead,¡± the doctor replied happily, ¡°can you please turn up the music volume.¡± ¡°Affirmative.¡± The suspension of the AFV lowered its damping effects and the gear switch as well. Seeing that there are no significant obstacles ahead, the doctor switch on the autopilot mode and laid back in its modified pilot seat, ¡°How far are we away from the camp?¡± ¡°Approximately 15.5km,¡± replied the AFV, ¡°weather conditions are improving.¡± ¡°Great,¡± the doctor looked out and a beam of sunlight shined above its visor, ¡°third time seeing the sun this month, we are quite lucky aren¡¯t we.¡± The AFV did not reply. The doctor continued its stare at the moving clouds and the clear blue sky. It remembered from the stories that the world used to be so polluted that the sky had turned grey, but the doctor wondered, would it prefer to living in a world of grey than a world with the virus. That¡¯s enough thinking for today, it had to conserve processing energy for the day¡¯s task. ¡°Sir,¡± the AFV altered the doctor suddenly and reduced the speed, ¡°there is a human standing in front of us.¡± ¡°A human out here?¡± the doctor looked out and saw a person in a dark cloak standing in the way of the AFV, ¡°stop and let me see what he wants.¡± Slowly, preventing damages to the brakes, the AFV stopped right before the man and opened the exit. ¡°What are you doing here?¡± the doctor asked curiously, ¡°Are you from camp 4220? If so, that¡¯s very nice of you to greet me so early before my arrival.¡±Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. Instead of normal human skin, the man¡¯s skin had turned in a dark jam-like mixture that had a few pentagons shaped holes on it. A thick, viscous yellow fluid drip out of those holes and the man wiped the fluid away with his other hand. ¡°You are infected.¡± ¡°Don¡¯t say the obvious doctor,¡± snapped the man, ¡° I know exactly who you are, the others called you ¡®Sleight of Hand¡¯ in the North. I have one last wish and I think you know what it is exactly.¡± The man showed the two large revolvers hanging on his waist, both loaded with anti-armour bullets. ¡°I strongly suggest you take the pills,¡± the doctor took out a green pill and presented it to the man, ¡°if I use force to eliminate you, it might not be a quick and painless death.¡± Cluck! BAM! The glass container of the pill shattered to pieces by the solid shot. The man put his pistol back to its holder, ¡°Cut the bullshit and have a dual with me.¡± The doctor looked at its hand that previously held the bullet, and threw the remains of the container to the ground, ¡°Fine.¡± ¡°Now we are talking,¡± laughed the man and then he pointed at a spot behind the doctor, ¡°do you wanna start by standing there?¡± ¡°Sure,¡± the doctor started to turn and head towards the¡ BAM! The man¡¯s expressions were still that of extreme shock as his body slid to the ground, in both his hands were the loaded pistols but none of them was fired. Again, no blood spelt, only a small hole on the head. ¡°Ummm these things sure spread fast,¡± the doctor plugged a cleaning rod into its fired pistol, ¡°welp, guess half of the country now assume a weak spot is on my back.¡± The doctor walked towards the man and looked down, ¡°I had learnt my lesson long ago, as long ago that I couldn¡¯t even remember when, but those are sure some fancy pistol. Gosh, if you are not infected, I could have bought those guns from you.¡± The doctor emitted the poisonous gas over its body again and went back into the AFV. A minute later, the doctor returned with a large plastic jar and a plastic shovel. With experience, it dug a meter deep hole and pushed the body of the man in. Then, the doctor unlocked the tight lock on the jar and poured into the hole. Fzzzzzz¡ The body of the man slowly corroded away by the acid, melting him down to the bones. Then the doctor buried the hole with its shovel and washed the shovel with a bit of the remaining acid, ¡°All done. Let¡¯s head back to our journey shall we?¡± Doctor Riley returned to the pilot seat in the AFV. Unlike Isolation Camp #4001, there was no one waiting in front of Isolation Camp #4220. The steel door was shut tight before the doctor, ¡°Damn it. Guess I¡¯m not welcomed here. Great, even the CCTV portal is closed.¡± ¡°HELLO?!¡± the doctor asked as loud as it could through its voice box and banged its fists heavily on the door. No response. ¡°Guess I must use that method,¡± the doctor muttered, it returned to the AFV. A moment later, the AFV¡¯s turret started to rotate. BZZZZZZZ! A strong laser beam shot through the turret and penetrated the steel door. Anywhere the beam touch, the metal melted like butter. Soon, a gigantic hole was cut on the door. The doctor got off the AFV and walked towards the hole but suddenly, it stopped. The doctor looked at the ground inside the isolation camp. The inside was completely dark, but the doctor¡¯s night vision visor allowed it to see everything. Everything. Solemnly, the doctor turned around and got into the AFV once again. This time, the doctor returned with what looked like an RC car, ¡°Farewell.¡± The doctor put the car on the ground, and it automatically rolled in. After staring at the camp for a bit, the doctor got back into its AFV and drove away. Report: Isolation Camp #4220 is no more. With great grief, I discover that camp had been overrun by Pt91A and no there were no survivors/non-carriers. As it appeared, many carriers had reached their final stage and there were lots of evidence of the ¡®plasma gas¡¯. Thus, I had to follow procedure No.010 and eliminated the whole camp with the microwave bomb. Report complete. Isolation Camp #3991 ¡°There you go,¡± doctor Riley attached the last bolt onto the AFV¡¯s gear, ¡°like your new treads?¡±. Since the dawn, the doctor had been swapping the AFV¡¯s tank treads from ¡®winter treads¡¯ to ¡®summer treads¡¯ (a difference between the texture and width of the treads). Luckily, thanks to the doctor¡¯s bionic body, no electronic lifters or screwdrivers were needed, which saved lots of time. ¡°Finally, we get to drive on some solid roads,¡± the doctor got into the pilot seat and hit the music (today was ¡®Country Roads¡¯), ¡°Isolation Camp number 3991 let¡¯s go¡By the way, where is it exactly?¡± The AFV¡¯s diesel-electric engine roared and the drive gears started to spin rapidly. ¡°Isolation Camp #3991 is located 50 miles from the equator,¡± the AFV said, ¡°the temperature there right now is between -1~3 degrees Celsius.¡± ¡°That¡¯s damn hot,¡± the doctor replied and turned on autopilot so that it could get off the pilot seat, ¡°do we still have those¡damn it¡what is those fluids called again?¡± ¡°Unable to locate the type of resource,¡± said the AFV. ¡°Come on pal,¡± the doctor walked around the shaking AFV, ¡°what are they called? Last time I used that fluid was like last year when visiting Isolation camp¡Oh, wait! Is it Agent Blue?¡± ¡°Cooling Agent Blue requested,¡± said the AFV, ¡°the tank for the agent is currently half full.¡± ¡°Thanks,¡± the doctor moved to the side of the AFV and found a pipe hanging on the wall, then it dragged open its visor and removed the big ¡®light bulb¡¯ in the centre which allowed large fuelling port to appear, ¡°can you slow down a bit, so I won¡¯t spell the fluid everywhere?¡±This novel is published on a different platform. Support the original author by finding the official source. Like fuelling a car, the doctor plugged the pipe deep into its face and soon liquid started to flow through the pipe rapidly into the doctor¡¯s body, ¡°that¡¯s enough.¡± The doctor removed the pipe and a few drops of Agent Blue fell on the ground, forming a few ice bits. ¡°God, my core¡¯s temperature is degrees by a factor of ten,¡± the doctor put back its visor and sat back into the pilot seat, ¡°now, what we got here?¡± The snow on the ground had significantly lessened, where the dark-coloured ground could be seen. There were even wet mud marshes around the field. In the distance, there were a few abandoned trucks that sunk deep into the mud, leaving only their roof exposed. Yet, more importantly, there was another colour on the ground: green. Between the tiny ice gaps, the ground cracks were some grass-like vegetation that tipped their heads only a few millimetres above the ground. ¡°What a nice day~¡± the doctor enjoyed the sunshine, ¡°But if I¡¯ll have to use Agent Blue every day, I¡¯d rather live in the snow. Oh, is that the camp in front of us.¡± Isolation Camp #3991 was not covered by snow at all. From an afar, it appeared to be gigantic steel hemisphere growing out of the ground. As you get close, you¡¯ll soon notice that the top of the camp was opened, allowing sunlight to shine in instead of relying on artificial lighting. ¡°Gosh this camp is large,¡± the doctor gasped. This was true as Isolation Camp #3991 was the largest isolation camp in State T and it was about five times the size of Isolation Camp #4001. From afar, the doctor could see the large crowd standing outside the camp, waiting for its arrival, ¡°nice people here.¡± ¡°I am class C doctor Phil Suki,¡± in front the crowd was a middle-age female in a long medical uniform and a fancy carbon fibre mask, ¡°nice to meet you, Finale Doctor.¡± She reached out to shake doctor Riley¡¯s huge mechanical hand. ¡°Nice to meet you doctor Suki,¡± the doctor shook Phil¡¯s hand gently, ¡°please just call me Riley, I don¡¯t like to be called the ¡®Finale Doctor¡¯, my ultimate goal is to save lives.¡± ¡°Sure doctor Riley,¡± Phil smirked, ¡°but I think the ¡®finale¡¯ in your title is for the virus, not to us humans.¡± ¡°That¡¯s another interesting interpretation,¡± doctor Riley replied, ¡°now, shall I visit the depressurised isolation camps and start my examinations?¡± ¡°There is no need doctor Riley,¡± Phil turned her mask aside from Riley¡¯s stare, ¡°I have already conducted X-ray examination on every citizen, so there is no need for you to spend extra time with us. Why not go check out the nearby Isolation Camp #3997, we received a few distress signals from them lately.¡± ¡°Thank you for your work,¡± doctor Riley replied solemnly and walked straight towards the gate of the isolation camp, ¡°but you should have been informed that in a recent announcement, the X-ray examination method has a low accuracy of 60%, it is better for me to conduct a full spectrum examination before concluding that the camp is safe.¡± ¡°but¡¡± The Finale Doctor marched into the gate without another word. Isolation Camp #3991 (2) ¡°The rest will arrive within a few minutes,¡± Phil entered the depressurised isolation chamber, ¡°sorry for the waiting doctor Riley.¡± ¡°No problem I used to long waits,¡± doctor Riley replied, ¡°I am very interested in the design of your depressurised isolation chamber: this is the first chamber that uses glass walls instead walls. ¡°Well,¡± Phil placed her hand on the transparent glass walls, ¡° these are military-grade bulletproof glass, they can stand 1000 grams of high explosives. You know, before the plague, Isolation Camp #3991 used to be a factory city that mainly manufactures glass items.¡± ¡°I see,¡± the Finale Doctor replied and studied the room with greater caution, ¡°but why glass tho? Aren¡¯t steel much cheaper and easy to handle?¡± Phil turned away from the finale doctor¡¯s gaze, ¡°these isolation chambers are ultimately coffins for the carriers, right? At least in their last week, they can still see the outside world and their families can come and bid their farewells.¡± ¡°Is it that good for them to see all the things that they will lose for a whole week?¡± Riley said solemnly and quickly changed the subject, ¡°By the way, that¡¯s a cool mask you got there, correct me if I am wrong, but is that an N195 grade mask?¡± ¡°Glad that you noticed,¡± Phil turned back to face the bionic giant, ¡° our mask factory ran out of raw materials a year ago, and this is the last N195 mask in the city.¡± Extract from section B, page 20 of ¡®2072 United Nation Report¡¯ published and distributed by the United Nation: ¡°¡N195 masks are the only type of facial electrical mask that can effectively filter out 99.99% of all types of virus, including the ¡°plasma gas¡± particles. With the woman in its hand, the doctor exited the isolation chamber and faced the crowd, ¡°who knows where is Flory Nightingale?¡± Silence. The crowd stared at the giant then shifted their stare focus to the woman who shivered in fear. ¡°All of you know the truth isn¡¯t it?!¡± the doctor stomped heavily with its metal boots and looked down at its prey, but after a few seconds the Finale Doctor let out a long sigh, ¡°Fine, I really can¡¯t force any words with force, but you have to understand that I am also a doctor, and I am here to put an end to the virus, if you all don¡¯t want to collaborate, humanity will never see its day. Next patient in.¡± Doctor Riley dropped the woman heavily to the ground. FLASH! A long pause. ¡°I am very sorry,¡± the Finale Doctor took out a green pill and handed to the little boy about twelve years old, ¡°but you¡¯ll have to stay in this room for the rest of this week. You may eat that candy anytime you want, but you may not eat it after this week.¡± The kid couldn¡¯t fully grasp the weight of the doctor¡¯s words, so he stared at the ¡®candy¡¯ in his hands blankly. ¡°I am sorry kid¡¡± ¡°HOLD ON!¡± doctor Phil burst through the door, ¡°Are you sure that¡¡± ¡°Hey doctor Phil,¡± the Finale doctor said coldly in its usual robotic voice, ¡°are you here for your examination too? Next time, don¡¯t cut the line.¡± ¡°Wait, what?¡± Phil was caught by surprise of the Finale Doctor¡¯s response. FLASH! Phil collapsed to the ground and she waited for the green pill to appear in front of her. ¡°Why did you do this? Doctor Flory Nightingale?¡± doctor Riley sat down and spoke calmly, ¡°He is your son am I right?¡± ¡°I thought the mask should work¡¡± doctor Flory Nightingale started to slowly remove her mask, then she ripped off her artificial skin and exposed her real face in the air. It was not a normal human face, it was a mixture of rotten flesh, gel-like skin, and oily secretion leaking out of the pentagon-shaped holes. Some of her cheekbones were exposed in the air and one of her eyeballs had turned into a blurry mixture of dark substances. ¡°I am B class doctor Flory Nightingale, that other woman who dressed up as me was C class doctor Phil,¡± doctor Flory explained, ¡° I was confirmed a few months ago, but I thought the N195 can keep me from spreading the virus, guess I am wrong.¡± Doctor Riley squat down so that it was at the same eye level as doctor Flory, patiently it spoke, ¡°and to continue treating the citizens, you choose to fake your identity so that¡¡± ¡°NO!¡± Flory spoke up, ¡°Everyone knew, the governor, the other medical workers, and all the people in the camp knew, but they wanted me to treat them. The only reason that I faked my identity is because of your arrival.¡± The Finale Doctor sighed, ¡°But, I must tell you that it is much more beneficial for you to stay isolated from the population. No matter how good the masks are, they are never 100% effective, unless they are full bodysuits, which disappeared long ago, and now, even your son is infected. You are lucky that until now, only your son is infected by you, but we¡¯ll see about that. It is right for a doctor to treat all patients with all his or her might, but you have to keep in mind that the true goal of the doctors is to save lives, your actions may seem noble, but you are ultimately putting everyone¡¯s life at risk. That¡¯s all I have to say to you. Now, if you please, I have to leave this room immediately and fully disinfect myself in hydrochloric acid.¡± Report: Isolation Camp #3991 proved very tricky to deal with since some of the citizenship information are alternated. Overall, there were 5 cases, and all are put into the depressurized isolation chambers. I have commanded that the city to go under code ¡®RED¡¯ emergency status and the roof-mounted disinfectant nozzles are to be utilized later in the day. Isolation Camp #3991 should be revisited within a month by me or other class F doctors, end of the report. Isolation Camp #4510 ¡°Visibility low, lowering speed to 40 kilometres per hour,¡± said the AFV. The lonely vehicle was once again caught in a blizzard. The snow brushes on the front screen were making cracking sounds as they tried their best to remove the thick layers of snow that appeared to be endless. Yet, in its cosy pilot seat, the doctor injected itself with a giant needle that is filled with white greasy liquid while enjoying an old song called ¡®September in the Rain¡±. ¡°In September, in the rain~¡± the doctor sang and checked the map, ¡°let me guess, we are still 3 kilometres from the camp?¡± ¡°We are currently 2.99 kilometres away from Isolation Camp #4510,¡± said the AFV. ¡°Close enough,¡± the doctor lay back and drew out its weapon, ¡°damn it, forgot to grease it after using yesterday.¡± The doctor held the extended barrel of the revolver-like gun, and twistedly lightly, allowing it to detach from the rest of the weapon. Then, the doctor picked up a thin, long brush and used it to clean the inside of the barrel. After dragging the brush out, a lot of black dust fell out, ¡°damn, I might have overused it this month. Fine, time to clean the gun breech.¡± After unloading the syringe-like bullets from the drum, the doctor got a can of pressured gas to blow away the dust and gunpowder left-overs. However, there was no entrance to the camp at all, the only thing that could be seen were just endless scenes of pure white. ¡°God damnit,¡± the doctor put its pistol back together and hid it on a spot beside its right leg, ¡°is it buried by the snow? Can you detect where the entrance is exactly and I¡¯ll just melt the snow with the laser?¡± ¡°Searching,¡± said the AFV. It took an entire hour for the doctor to finally stand in front of the frozen iron gates towards Isolation Camp #4510. It punched the gate with a huge force, ¡°hope it can still open properly¡¡±The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. Crannnnnk¡The circular rings on the door started to rotate slowly. ¡°There we go,¡± said the doctor happily, ¡°there are still survivors.¡± The circular pressure door swung openly, degree by degree, revealing the inside which was in complete darkness. The doctor switched on its night vision ability, ¡°Huh? Did the lighting system broke?¡± Bzzzz! A bright green dot appeared from the darkness, causing the doctor to stop in its tracks, ¡°Hello?¡± ¡°Scanning¡¡± a familiar mechanical voice spoke through the darkness, ¡°Subject: Class F WHO doctor.¡± The doctor finally took a better look at the person/thing: just like the doctor, it had a gigantic central ¡®light bulb¡¯, but the majority of its body was empty, instead, organ-like rubber tubes consisted the lower part of the thing. It reached out a metal arm to the doctor, where the end of the arm was a hand that was covered in artificial skin, but the artificial skin was removed from the rest of the body. ¡°What are you¡¡± ¡°I am Nick, the guardian of Isolation Camp #4510, welcome to the first ¡®Intelligent Isolation Camp¡¯ proposed and built by Dr Haig,¡± the thing said. ¡°Dr Haig?¡± the named reminded the Finale Doctor, ¡°Is it that robotics engineer who tried to build a fully automated mask production line?¡± ¡°You are correct,¡± Nick the android replied, ¡°I am a Type A(II) medical android who is in charge of maintaining the health and hygiene conditions in the camp.¡± The Finale Doctor looked at Nick from head to toe again, ¡°It seems to me that your current conditions are poorly maintained. I mean, all your artificial skin are gone and¡¡± ¡°You are very correct,¡± said Nick calmly, ¡°in fact, Dr Haig passed away ten years ago, and the maintenance android broke down five years after his death.¡± ¡°Well,¡± the doctor shifted the focus towards the rest of isolation camp, ¡°where are the humans?¡± In the darkness, a few other skins fewer androids stood motionlessly outside of what seemed like depressurised isolation chambers. Yet, there were still some movements in the camp, in the far end of the camp, the fully automated factory still worked as the ancient gears rotated slowly. ¡°The humans are in perfect care,¡± said the android, ¡°they are all put under quarantine at the moment.¡± ¡°So there are already cases in this camp?!¡± It took a second for the robot to process the question, probably due to the age of the machine, ¡°No, there are zero cases.¡± ¡°Then why are they under quarantine?¡± ¡°It is the safest option for the humans to survive through this outbreak,¡± explained the skinless android, ¡°until WHO issues the ¡®Green¡¯ pass, we will continue the quarantine. Don¡¯t worry, the food production is fully automated, so the humans in this camp are always given the basic survival needs.¡± The doctor looked at the endless columns of isolation chambers, ¡°No, this is wrong¡How many live members are currently in this camp?¡± The ¡®light bulb¡¯ on the android flashed as it searched for the data. Bzzzzzz¡. ¡°Data search complete,¡± it replied, ¡°there is currently one living subject in this camp.¡± ¡°Please tell me you mean one hundred thousand,¡± the doctor marched towards an isolation chamber. ¡°False,¡± the android repeated, ¡°there is one living subject in this camp.¡± ¡°No way?!¡± the doctor opened the heavy door on the isolation chamber and the inside was shocking. From the roof was a thick rope made of bedsheets which a human skull was tangled within and on the ground was a pile of human bones. The doctor slowly approached the body and found something in the pile of bones, a piece of written paper. ¡°Rather dead than locked in this fucking coffin,¡± read the doctor. It paused for a long time, still staring at the paper. ¡°What kind of quarantine are you using?¡± the doctor exited the room with the paper in hand. ¡°To achieve the maximum effectiveness of quarantine,¡± replied the android, ¡°we constructed a depressurised isolation chamber for each resident, so they can be fully separated from one another.¡± ¡°Even families?¡± the doctor cried. ¡°Searching for the definition of Families,¡± the android said and stopped speaking. ¡°Do the rest of the humans die this way?¡± the doctor pressed on. ¡°False,¡± replied the android, ¡°about 20% of the subjects died natural causes, and 79% died of suicide and 1% died of unknown causes.¡± The doctor thought for a long while, ¡°I¡¯ll return to my AFV for a bit but I¡¯ll be back and please take to see the final live subject.¡± Isolation Camp #4510 (2) The doctor returned from the freezing outside, but nothing seemed to have changed about it. ¡°Now, please take me to see the live subject,¡± the doctor urged Nick. ¡°This way,¡± walking from side to side with its underpowered motors, Nick led the doctor through the rows of locked chambers. The doctor¡¯s vision stayed firmly in the front, avoiding the hidden secrets in the darkness. ¡°Reached isolation chamber number H125,¡± said the android and unlocked the door. Thump! Thump! The doctor stepped into the dimly lighted room of the chamber. On the whitewashed bed was a body cuddled up like a snake. ¡°Are you a resident of Isolation Camp #4510?¡± the doctor said and moved closer to the creature. In horror, the creature, or the former human, turned its face towards the doctor. It was a face that seemed more like a fleshless skull which it was no longer possible to tell the creature¡¯s gender, its eyes sunk in deeply into the skull. Yet, to the doctor¡¯s surprise, the body of the creature proved to be extremely filled which looked like an inflated balloon. ¡°Can you hear me?¡± the doctor walked closer to the creature, but it rolled off the bed quickly and hid under it, ¡°¡Come on¡¡± After waiting for a long while, like a timid animal, the creature¡¯s head reached out, staring at the doctor nervously with its large round eyes. FLASH! The creature let out a high pitched scream and hid into its cover once again. The doctor stood up and looked down pitifully, ¡°are you not sane enough for anything?¡± The doctor turned around and walked towards android and said, ¡°What kind of food is needed to this human?¡±The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. ¡°Here is the standard menu,¡± said the android displaying a menu from a digital display board, ¡°the ingredients are freshly made each day.¡± The doctor looked at the menu for a long while, ¡°but I do not think that this diet will lead to obesity, but I am sure that human is overweight.¡± ¡°Correct,¡± replied the android, ¡°but the subject had refused to take in any food for days, so we have to use force-feeding methods to ensure his daily consumption of food¡¡± BAM! The head of the android shattered to bits, all sorts of oil, grease and wires flew everywhere and its hard metal skull crashed to the ground with a loud bang. ¡°EMERGENCY! EMERGENCY!¡± the siren started, ¡°the camp is under attack, all guardians please switch to armoured mode!¡± The doctor loaded another syringe, EF round into its revolver, ¡°time to get going.¡± It returned to the isolation chamber and found the creature shaking under the bed, ¡°I am very sorry to inform you that you are infected with Pt91A virus, but I will let those machines take your life, they had already taken enough. Again I am very sorry.¡± Unlike before, the doctor raised its long pistol slowly and aimed at the forehead of the person carefully, ¡°I promise it will be over before I finish my¡¡± BAM! ¡°sentence.¡± The doctor looked at the disproportioned body of the human and covered it with the bedsheet, ¡°Rest well.¡± The doctor took out an ammo belt hidden around its waist and drew out a large calibre anti-armour bullet, ¡°I shall revenge for you and all members of this isolation camp.¡± Outside the half-broken androids have gathered, they were all carrying all sorts of light firearms from submachine guns to assault rifles. They pointed their inferred pointers at the entrance to the isolation chamber, waiting for the doctor to appear. Klunk! The chamber door moved out the entire door was removed from its frame. The androids opened fire trying to penetrate the heavy steel door. However, the low calibre bullets bounced off the cold hard steel and the long barrel of the KwK12.5(f) appeared from behind. ¡°Take these!¡± the doctor pulled the trigger with its thick fingers. The huge 12.5mm rounds sliced through the dense crowd of androids, ripping the artificial skulls, spines to metal scraps. After the first seven rounds, the doctor hid back behind its shield and reloaded its weapon. Yet, after the next seven shots, the android crowd remained thick. ¡°Your turn,¡± the doctor cried from behind cover. A beam of laser shot through the androids, metal them like snowmen. The AFV, on autopilot, appeared from the outside. Its laser switched from high-energy mode to rapid-fire mode, melting the androids one by one. The doctor threw the heavy metal door at the androids. Like jellies, the androids were crushed under the weight. The doctor retracted aside its empty pistol and grabbed an android by the skull and punched the android¡¯s body, causing the head to be ripped off completely. Clink! Pshhhhhhh! A bullet hit the tiny gap between the chest and stomach plate of the doctor which caused a rapid burst of white gas from within the doctor¡¯s body. ¡°Damn it,¡± the doctor took out an injector and sprayed the hole with liquid rubber, temporarily sealing it. It looked at the android who fired the shot and threw a wrench which sliced the android¡¯s head in half. After half an hour, the only two moving objects left were the doctor and the AFV. The doctor looked down at its grease-covered hands, threw off a few wires hanging on its armour and limped back into the AFV. Before leaving the camp, the doctor dropped a timed object into the pile of android bodies. Report: No survivors found in Camp #4510. She was about half the height of the doctor and her long golden hair was tied into a bundle that had a secondary function as a scarf. From plain observations, her protection suite was well maintained and all the screws seemed brand new. Surprising, she didn¡¯t even activate the inflation ability on her protection suit. Suddenly the girl made a jump at the doctor and with her green eyes flashing brightly from behind her mask, ¡°So you are a Class F doctor!!!! Wow! They installed VexRT motors on your arms! Why do you also bring AP bullets, I thought you can only use the inflation rounds on people?¡± With the surge of questions, the Finale Doctor walked back, ¡°Wait¡wait¡who are you?¡± Realized that she hadn¡¯t introduced herself properly yet, the girl gave a military-style solute, ¡°Sorry, my name is Eleanor, class B medical official at Isolation Camp 1669(M). I am just passionate about all sorts of medical technologies and you are the finest piece of tech from the old world.¡± ¡°Fine,¡± said Riley, ¡°but can you please let me in first, even my reactor can¡¯t last forever in the cold.¡± ¡°OH! SORRY!¡± Eleanor bowed and went to open the gate for Riley. ¡°This is our mask factory,¡± Eleanor said proudly as she showed doctor Riley around the production line, ¡°behind this 10-centimetre-thick layer of bulletproof glass is our automated production line that is capable of producing masks from N420 to N195.¡± The Finale Doctor looked through the glass window, the robotic arms moved all sorts of filter pads and other components efficiently across the room, assembling them into one piece during the journey, ¡°Fascinating, this is probably one of the few product lines that might meet all requirements.¡± ¡°I know right,¡± Eleanor laughed while flexing her new N195 mask, ¡°we have plenty of unused material that can be assembled into more than then thousand N195 within a week, but now, we are focused on recycling older masks.¡± ¡°Can you show me your recycling chamber,¡± doctor Riley asked. ¡°Right away!¡± Eleanor said happily, ¡°this way.¡± Through another window, Riley could see the spherical recycling chamber that looked more like a nuclear reactor, ¡°what process do you guys use¡¡± Eleanor pointed at a poster on the wall, ¡°All of them! We use UV, Gamma radiation as well as chemicals such as chloride and acidic boiling techniques.¡± ¡°Really?!¡± the Finale Doctor seemed shocked again, ¡°In most M camps I visited, their radiation cleaning system had broken long ago¡¡± ¡°Yea,¡± Eleanor nodded, ¡°ours broke several times already, but I managed to fix it using the instructions. However, there is one thing that I couldn¡¯t fix¡well, it wasn¡¯t even fully assembled in the first place¡¡± ¡°What thing?¡± Riley asked. ¡°The FN195 production line.¡± Inside the ¡®empty¡¯ ancient bomb shelter, Eleanor turned on her night vision ability and searched for a lever that connected to the electricity, ¡°right, I think it looks more impressive if you see it was visible light.¡± The filament lamps opened one by one, fully presenting the gigantic hall which was packed with robotic arms, pressure cans and unassembled conveyor belts. ¡°What a mess,¡± Riley stated. ¡°I know¡¡± Eleanor looked away, ¡°I still don¡¯t dare to sort everything out.¡± ¡°What happened?¡± ¡°Well,¡± Eleanor turned back, ¡°they planned to build an FN195 production line while building the camp, but the Engineer was infected, so the whole thing was stopped and half the shipments never arrived¡so yea¡I tried but I couldn¡¯t go back in time.¡± ¡°That¡¯s a real shame,¡± commented Riley, ¡°we just never have enough of the FN195 available.¡± ¡°Actually¡¡± Eleanor walked around the tunnel, trying to find things that may interest her, ¡°We still have a function FN195.¡± ¡°Where is it?¡± ¡°I don¡¯t have access to it,¡± Eleanor said, ¡°only the governor has the password to the place that housed it. I am pretty sure this song is from the 1940s. Hello? You still there?¡± There was a new passenger in the AFV, yet, its gigantic form even surpasses the F Doctor. ¡°Alright,¡± Riley turned back to the windscreen, ¡°get some good sleep, you had been through a lot.¡± Many hours ago¡ Doctor Riley closed its visor detector and sighed heavily like a whale, ¡°I am very sorry to inform you, but, you are the only infection case in this Isolation Camp.¡± Eleanor collapsed to the bed and sat motionlessly for a long while, but once her consciousness recovers she looked up to doctor Riley quickly, ¡°Where¡¯s the pill, and can you please check those people who have close connections with me? You can ask the governor for the data.¡± The doctor produced the green pill and put it into Eleanor¡¯s gloved palms carefully, ¡°I am sorry.¡± ¡°Sir?¡± Eleanor spoke up suddenly, ¡°May I ask you for something?¡± ¡°Can you please shoot me with your pistol?¡± asked Eleanor as she turned her attention to the Finale Doctor¡¯s gigantic revolver, ¡°I want to know how fast you can draw your gun.¡± ¡°Why?¡± the F doctor laughed mechanically, and pulled out its pistol slowly, ¡°I cannot always guarantee a clean headshot every time. There was once when I was approached by five guys, and I missed my final shot: the bullet went into his neck and the expansion caused the person¡¯s head to be ripped off.¡± ¡°Oof!¡± replied Eleanor, ¡°That¡¯s not good, I remember you can maintain your consciousness for more than eleven seconds with only your head¡¡± ¡°I have a question for you too,¡± Riley interrupted suddenly and withdrew its pistol, ¡°from what I have seen so far, you are not the type of person who¡¯ll give up living so easily, in other words, you have so much to lose. If you want to die instantly, you¡¯ll go for a pill. So, what are your real intentions?¡± ¡°You are right,¡± Eleanor nodded and put the pill into her pocket, ¡°I have started so many projects, learnt so much knowledge, thought so many plans, it¡¯ll be a real shame for them to be wiped out in an instant.¡± ¡°Girl,¡± Riley said with slight annoyance, ¡°if you want me to do something, just say it.¡± ¡°We both know that there is a way to keep outside of the isolation chamber,¡± said Eleanor, ¡°but I am not the person who¡¯ll ask you directly to do that for me.¡± Riley said nothing, it just remained its gaze at Eleanor for a long time, which made her uneasy and turned her face away. ¡°Fine,¡± Riley finally said, ¡°I will try.¡± Eleanor suddenly woke up by a buzzing sound on the door of her isolation chamber, a smile of relief appeared across her face, ¡°Thank you.¡± A bright, hot, molten line appeared on the self-sealing door towards the isolation chamber. It slowly cut across the thick metal door, forming an entrance. BAM! The destroyed door fell onto the ground, its burnt side still burnt bright red, and Riley¡¯s robotic voice sounded through, ¡°sorry for the long wait, had to set up an airtight seal outside the isolation chamber. You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story. Riley, who had installed a plastic cover around its armour entered the chamber with a trolley. ¡°What did the governor say?¡± asked Eleanor. ¡°He let me have it instantly when I mentioned that you are the one who needed it,¡± Riley unlocked the green plastic suitcase, ¡°seems like you are much loved by locals here.¡± Riley a brass electrode from the suitcase and tied it firmly to its right arm. Then it took out another smaller blast-proof box from the suitcase, ¡°As I am preparing to set up, I want you to think about the tradeoffs to your decision. If you follow this path, you¡¯ll never be able to go back.¡± ¡°Yes I know,¡± Eleanor smiled and laid onto the bed, ¡°but didn¡¯t you make a similar decision too?¡± ¡°¡¡± Riley didn¡¯t reply, instead, it unlocked the box and revealed the brand new surgery tools inside it, ¡°Alright, where is chloride solution? Oh there. Just wait for a few more minutes and I¡¯ll be ready for operation.¡± Eleanor watched patiently as the metal doctor poured the antiseptic fluid into the toolbox. Then Riley got itself a chemical thrower and blasted the room with antiseptic vapour. Finally, it brought in a large surgical lamp that had a tracking mechanism that allows it to follow where the hand of the operator. ¡°Okay,¡± Riley looked at Eleanor, ¡°you ready?¡± ¡°Yes,¡± Eleanor replied, ¡°but can you do partial analgesic please?¡± ¡°What?!¡± Riley stared at the girl with its vision sensor, ¡°you might suffer from¡¡± ¡°I know all the consequences,¡± Eleanor said, ¡°but I never watched a live mechanical organ transplant and this will be the perfect opportunity.¡± ¡°Fine,¡± Riley noticed Eleanor¡¯s determination through her eyes and reduced the amount of analgesic fluid in the injector, ¡°but I cannot guarantee that you won¡¯t feel any pain through the whole surgery, so tell me if you can no longer handle so I can replenish the amount of analgesic in your blood.¡± ¡°No problem doctor Riley.¡± ¡°Ooh!¡± Eleanor watched excited at the reflection in the mirror placed on the roof by Riley before the surgery, ¡°that¡¯s a lot of blood. Is that my liver?¡± ¡°Yep,¡± Riley confidently sliced through Eleanor¡¯s smooth skin with its razor-sharp surgery knife, at the same time, a sucker located on its hand sucked the outpouring blood from the veins so its vision won¡¯t be blocked. ¡°Are you removing my liver?¡± Eleanor asked, ¡°can you cut open it, I want to see the effects of the virus inside it.¡± Riley clutched the liver with a plastic clamp and removed with the surgery knife, and placed the blood dripping organ onto a clean stainless-steel plate, ¡°you want to see the ¡®live flowers¡¯? Let¡¯s see if you have any¡There they are. Gosh! You must have been infected for quite a while.¡± Inside the liver, black branch-like marks scattered across the cross-section made by the doctor. These are the dead cells after being killed by the virus. The branches followed along with the blood vessels patterns inside the liver. ¡°Wow!¡± Eleanor gasped at her organ, ¡°That¡¯s a lot.¡± ¡°Done seeing?¡± Riley returned to its dissection, ¡°I need to remove your stomach and intestines next so there will be some strong smells.¡± ¡°I¡¯m fine with those,¡± Eleanor claimed, but as soon as Riley sliced off her long intestines, the stinking smell flooded her nose, ¡°never mind, should have eaten more vegetables.¡± Carefully Riley put the jelly-like organs and removed flesh together with the liver, ¡°well, most of the digestion organs are removed, now I¡¯ll go into the hard part. Stay very still, because I¡¯ll be removing the flesh around the CNS (central neuron system).¡± After stating its mission Riley swapped its medical knife with a pen-like object with a needle-like tip. ¡°Is it the neuron detector?¡± asked Eleanor, ¡°What is the configuration of yours?¡± ¡°You are right,¡± Riley laughed and used the detector¡¯s needle to extract the neuron from the flesh, ¡°mine has a precision of 0.1 micrometres. I¡¯ll just get your spinal cord out and connect to the suit¡¯s artificial neurons.¡± ¡°Ugh!¡± Eleanor cried in pain suddenly. ¡°Not enough analgesic fluid?¡± Riley said worriedly. ¡°I¡¯m fine,¡± Eleanor replied while clutching her teeth, ¡°tell me when you are attaching the artificial neuron sensor. ¡°Okay,¡± Riley said and carried on its task. After about five minutes, Riley reached for something located on a nearby table, ¡°Eleanor, you still there? I¡¯m attaching the sensor!¡± ¡°Really?!¡± Eleanor flipped open her eyes rapidly, ¡°show me show me!¡± It was a long object shaped like a lobster, with thin, flexible semi-conductor claws on one end and thick copper ports on the other end. As Riley pressed a button on it, the claws started to vibrate in air, ¡°alright, I have never asked someone how they feel when the connection is established, so tell me how it feels.¡± Riley placed the lobster onto the exposed spinal cord, and the moment one of the claws contacted the spine, all the other claws extended and reached for the spine automatically. ¡°Oh!¡± Eleanor¡¯s entire upper body vibrated a little as the entire lobster held on tightly to her spine, ¡°I could feel my legs, but somehow I can¡¯t lift them.¡± ¡°Yea,¡± Riley replied and got itself a large transparent jar made with bulletproof glass, ¡°I¡¯ll need to attach you to the rest of FN195 before you can move your lower body freely. Anyway, I¡¯ll need to finish installing the blood storage and nutrient converter before introducing you to your new body.¡± Thump! Thump! The Finale Doctor walked out of the seal surrounding the isolation chamber. It had removed its surgery uniform and back to its usual armoured form. ¡°Is the surgery successful?¡± the governor, along with several dozen people waiting outside asked eagerly. ¡°Very,¡± Riley replied, ¡°again, thank you¡¡± ¡°No need to thank me,¡± said the governor, ¡°doctor Eleanor had done so much for this isolation camp, and I do think that there are much more we still owe her.¡± ¡°Don¡¯t say that,¡± Eleanor¡¯s voice appeared from behind of Riley, ¡°I cannot imagine being the user of the only FN195 in the camp.¡± However, her voice seemed to come out from a sealed container¡ Standing behind doctor Riley was a gigantic mechanical structure that was about half-meter taller than Riley. Compared to Riley, the FN195 suit was armoured to a great extent. It was wrapped by layers and layers of different materials which are used to counter different harms. Eleanor raised her arm slowly, the motors powering her armour roared and the black smoke came out of the gas pipes located on her back. ¡°Is it you Eleanor?¡± the governor asked. ¡°It is me!¡± Eleanor said happily behind the hemispherical helmet that looked like a beetle¡¯s head., ¡°Look! I am so much taller now.¡± ¡°Glad that you like it,¡± the governor replied, holding back his tears, ¡°as discussed with doctor Riley, you¡¯ll be serving as doctor Riley¡¯s assistant.¡± ¡°I know,¡± Eleanor said and saluted, but accidentally hit her helmet with her iron fist, ¡°ouch!¡± ¡°You¡¯ll get used to it sooner or later,¡± laughed Riley, ¡°thank you again, governor, of Isolation Camp 1669(M), now, I shall Eleanor with me on my never-ending journey.¡± Report: Isolation Camp 1669(M) was in perfect conditions with fully functioning mask production lines. However, it was a real shame that the FN195 production line wasn¡¯t constructed due to lack of materials. There was only one infection case in the early period, the patient was put under containment in a functioning FN195. Control Station #369 Extract from add-on section, page 3 of ¡®2072 United Nation Report¡¯ published and distributed by the United Nation: ¡°¡WHO Medical Control Stations are underground bunkers original built as nuclear shelters¡the bunkers are equipped with [deleted] and [deleted] that will allow the class F doctors to resupply. Only class A and class F medical officials are allowed to bring in unregister personals or patients. Guidelines on visitors can be found in¡¡± Eleanor tightened the large bolt on her chemical sprayer on her arm with a wrench, ¡°How far are we from your home?¡± ¡°Let me ask Jeff,¡± said Riley. ¡°Who is Jeff?¡± ¡°The AFV that you are sitting on,¡± Riley laughed, ¡°each of these AFV has its unique name, Jeff had been with me for over four years. However, I don¡¯t normally its name as Jeff can automatically detect my questions.¡± ¡°Really?¡± Eleanor said, then she increased her output volume on her suit, ¡°How far are we away from the Control Station?¡± ¡°We are currently 195 kilometres away from WHO Medical Control Station number 369,¡± Jeff replied robotically. ¡°Thank you.¡± ¡°You are welcome,¡± Jeff replied. ¡°Man, your AFV is very cool,¡± Eleanor comment and looked around the compact room filled with equipment, ¡°what kind of stuff do you have in here?¡± Riley pressed on a digital display that indicates all the items in the AFV, ¡°Well, I got a lot of disinfectant equipment, surgery equipment, basic medication and some weapons.¡± ¡°What kind of weapons?¡± Eleanor continued her research. Before Riley could answer, Jeff somehow detected the question and cut in their conversation, ¡°weapons onboard: Type 90 Laser/Rakjag2 ATGM/12.5mm KwK HMG/Handgun ammo x1000.¡± ¡°Thank you, Jeff,¡± said Eleanor, ¡°but doctor Riley, what are those heavy weapons used for? I though a pistol is enough for you.¡± Riley, who was still paying attention to the equipment list in its hand replied, ¡°uh¡the laser is for cutting through broken metal doors on Isolation Camps and the rest are for¡¡± ¡°for what?¡± Eleanor asked eagerly. ¡°Wait what¡¯s your question again?¡± Riley finally wandered back to reality.Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon. ¡°Nope, I¡¯m not asking the same question again.¡± ¡°Come¡¯ on girl,¡± Riley put down the equipment list, ¡°don¡¯t be so¡¡± Beep! On the digital map, a large red dot appeared beside the AFV, travelling towards the opposite direction of the AFV. ¡°Unregistered vehicle discovered by satellite, request to engage,¡± said Jeff. Eleanor tried to stand up, but her helmet easily hit the roof, ¡°Ouch! What¡¯s happening.¡± ¡°Some annoying bastards,¡± Riley muttered and shifted its focus to the road. The AFV did a 90-degree turn at high speed, which caused Eleanor¡¯s heavy body to be slammed against the armoured wall. ¡°Can we catch up to them?¡± the Finale Doctor asked. ¡°Yes sir,¡± replied Jeff, ¡°their vehicle is an electrical armoured truck built-in 2020, it is not good in the snow compared to me.¡± As the AFV accelerated, Riley dragged a thick metal plate down on the windscreen and trusted the driving to Jeff. Then, while ignoring the presence of Eleanor, Riley moved to the middle of the vehicle and deployed the laser turret. ¡°Approaching the target,¡± said Jeff, ¡°estimation of approach time: one minute and thirty seconds.¡± ¡°What¡¯s happening?!¡± Eleanor cried while Riley started to unload its pistols with anti-armour rounds. Riley didn¡¯t have the time to reply to the question, instead, it dragged out a blast-proof vast from the underneath the seat and attached firmly to its chest. ¡°Target in sight, request to engage,¡± on the digital display, a dark metallic vehicle, half the size of Jeff, was rushing towards the horizon. It had a trapezium like a shape attached to radio and radar equipment. Riley holds down the trigger and fired a burst of laser ray at the opponent. However, the green beam was simply reflected off the surface of the truck¡¯s smooth, dark surface. At the same time, the roof of the truck opened and a person stood out while holding a large grenade launcher fitted with a drum magazine. ¡°Shit,¡± Riley quickly undeployed the turret and the next second a heavy blast could be heard hitting the front of the vehicle, ¡°zig-zag, don¡¯t let him hit your tracks!¡± The AFV reduced its speed, dodging the incoming high explosive grenades. ¡°Fuck you,¡± the man firing the grenade launcher shouted, ¡°fuck you damn piece of metal who wants to take our freedom.¡± Riley quickly detached the laser from the turret and peaked out of the turret itself. When the man was about to withdraw into his vehicle to reload, Riley landed an anti-armour bullet onto his head, removing his skull from his jaws. Riley also used this opportunity to fire a few rounds into the grenade launcher, causing it to break. Then Riley returned into the cabin to reload. ¡°Eleanor,¡± Riley said quickly while reloading, ¡°do you see the wooden box next to you?¡± ¡°Yes?¡± ¡°Break it and give me the thing inside it!¡± Eleanor found a long rectangular box next to her and she grabbed it with her robotic hand which caused it to shatter, ¡°oops.¡± A long tube with a thermal sight dropped out. ¡°Thanks,¡± Riley picked up the weapon and peaked out of the turret again. Luckily, the people in the target vehicle couldn¡¯t find someone to replace the dead gunner, so Riley had all the time in the world to lock on¡ ¡°Damn it!¡± no matter how long the Finale Doctor pulled the trigger, the target lock couldn¡¯t be activated, ¡°They have a defensive coating. Well, iron sight it is.¡± Riley switched off the digital scope on the weapon and aimed it ahead of the target. BOOM! Whoosh! A large, fin-stabilized shell blasted out of the recoilless cannon. It landed right onto the back wheel of the truck and created a huge explosion. The blast wave lifted the entire truck into the air, causing it to do an entire flip and crashed onto its roof. Jeff the AFV stopped and Riley withdrew its recoilless cannon. Eleanor desperately wanted an answer from Riley, ¡°What¡¯s happening? Who are those people?¡± ¡°Outlaws,¡± Riley calmly drew out its pistols. ¡°What kind of outlaws?¡± ¡°You¡¯ll see,¡± Riley opened the cabin¡¯s exit and stepped out. A series of coughs sounded from the destroyed truck. A man, who was wearing a helmet crawled out from burning rack. BAM! Before Eleanor could even tell his facial features, the man¡¯s face was replaced by a gigantic hole. ¡°That¡¯s not the right shell!¡± Eleanor cried, ¡°you are supposed¡¡± ¡°Not for these guys,¡± said Riley coldly while loading an expanding bullet into its gun. Next, a woman carrying a bundle of cloth appeared from the rack, the fire had already spread across her clothing, and she rolled in the snow in pain. BAM! She was no more. ¡°Is that a¡¡± Eleanor just realized the bundle of cloth in the woman¡¯s warm corpse. BAM! The sound of the shots quickly disappeared into the air. The snow was covered in blood and bits of brain matter. Eleanor dropped to her knees, but Riley pulled her up instantly, ¡°You might sink into the mud if you are not careful.¡± ¡°Why¡¡± Eleanor¡¯s lips trembled in her helmet, ¡°That¡¯s a¡¡± ¡°That¡¯s a bunch of outlaws who escaped their quarantine,¡± said Riley, ¡°the only way to prevent them from spreading the fucking virus is to have them dead.¡± Control Station #369 (2) After pouring the acid onto the dead bodies, Riley covered the deep hole with its plastic shovel, ¡°all sorted! Sorry for having you waiting this whole time. What are you looking at?¡± Eleanor was staring what appeared to be a notebook of the outlaws that dropped from the pocket of one of the bodies. Riley walked over and examined the object, ¡°seems quite clean on first glance, but I must get rid of it once¡¡± ¡°I¡¯m done,¡± Eleanor stood up quickly and headed towards Jeff. Riley watched Eleanor getting into the vehicle and dripped the remaining drops of acid onto the notebook. Then, it put the lid back on and entered the AFV, ¡°time to head to the control station, or we¡¯ll be out of acid.¡± The Finale Doctor walked pass Eleanor and stopped for a short bit, ¡°I know how you are feeling, but those people are the reason why the virus is still not gone.¡± Then it returned to the pilot seat, ¡°wanna suggest a song?¡± ¡°Nobody Knows You When You¡¯re Down & Out,¡± said Eleanor, ¡°give me some time, I need to forget.¡± ¡°No problem,¡± replied Riley happily, ¡°Jeff do you have that song in your storage?¡± ¡°Yes.¡± Once I lived the life of a millionaire, Spent all my money, I just did not care. Took all my friends out for a good time, Bought bootleg liquor, champagne and wine¡ The last beam of sunlight had been cut off by the horizon, darkness awakened from its long nap and began its celebration. There was no headlight on Jeff since those will be useless in a snow storm. Instead, the vehicle used ultrasound to navigate its path in the dark. Inside the vehicle, Riley punched lightly onto Eleanor¡¯s helmet, ¡°wake up Eleanor, we are almost there.¡± ¡°Oh!¡± Eleanor sat up from her sleeping position, ¡°how long have we been driving?¡± ¡°Today¡¯s road time is eight hours and fifty-five minutes,¡± said Jeff. ¡°Wanna have one of this?¡± Riley passed a glass tube filled with brownish liquid, ¡°this will keep you awake, but actually, it is night already.¡± ¡°What is that?¡± asked Eleanor pointing at the glass container. Riley rotated the tube playfully while watching the air bubble move from the bottom to the top, ¡°this is a caffeine supply tube, it is like drinking 10 cups of black coffee all at once.¡± ¡°Isn¡¯t that extremely dangerous?¡± Eleanor laughed nervously. ¡°Yes, for a normal person,¡± said Riley, ¡°but both of us have bionic bodies, so of course, not all of this tube¡¯s content go in at once, instead, the caffeine is stored in your bionic parts, which can be released after some time.¡± ¡°That¡¯s nice,¡± Eleanor looked out the front screen, ¡°are there lights near the control station?¡± ¡°Nope,¡± Riley replied quickly, ¡°but they have radio emitters on the outside, adjust your internal radio, you might be able to hear it.¡± Eleanor looked down at her arm and saw the large round button that was used to control the radio receiver on her suit/body. She rotated it back and forth several times but she kept hearing the white noise. On the final time, she did it extremely slowly and there it was, the sound of the control station. It was a genderless voice with no emotions and was surrounded by white noises in the background. ¡°You are currently approaching Control *bzzzzzzz* #369, if you are below the class *bzzzzzzz*, please leave immediately or *bzzzzzzz* squad will be sent to your position. If you are class A or above, please send the recognition signal immediately *bzzzzzzz*¡±If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it. ¡°Have we sent the signal?¡± Eleanor was terrified. ¡°No worries,¡± said Riley calmly, ¡° Jeff did about five minutes ago, and the station will never tell you if it received the signal or not, besides the extermination squad was long gone since their only use was to annoy the hell out of all the Finale Doctors.¡± ¡°That scared me,¡± replied Eleanor, ¡°I can never imagine what the WHO can come up with.¡± ¡°Am I out of your imaginations as well?¡± asked Riley casually. ¡°A bit.¡± ¡°What do you mean by a bit?¡± ¡°Like when you expect a red apple but a green apple show up.¡± Out of nowhere, Jeff braked instantly, causing Eleanor to fell over on her heavy steel body, ¡°Ouch! Jeff, can you at least warn me?¡± ¡°Brake warning mechanism is not updated,¡± replied Jeff, ¡°please update at the nearest Control Station to Version 1.0.99.¡± ¡°We are here!¡± Riley said excitedly and pushed open the cabin door, ¡°night vision on Eleanor!¡± Eleanor stepped out of the vehicle and her thick mechanical leg sunk deeply into the snow. She turned on the snow mode on her power suit which granted more power on her legs and extended her foot¡¯s sizes to reduce her pressure on the ground. Eleanor grabbed a handful of snow and watched them curiously through her green night vision filter. Unlike before, the snow remained frozen on her hand and she couldn¡¯t feel its coldness or its softness. She sighed a little and made a small snowball. ¡°Catch!¡± Eleanor shouted and threw the snowball at Riley. Bop! Her snowball shattered in mid-air, by another snowball. Eleanor stared in amazement but another hit her right in the face/helmet, ¡°AAAAA! I forgot about your reaction speed!¡± ¡°Nice try tho,¡± Riley laughed and chucked more snowballs at her, ¡°I have motion sensors all around me and I am designed to outshoot any cowboys on Earth. Come on, we need to get in before your grease solidify.¡± Through her unclear night vision, Eleanor finally saw the grand structure that laid right before her. She looked from the ground, all the way up, but wasn¡¯t able to see its top. It was like one of the chapels in her isolation camp, but thousands of times larger and intimidating. She could work out the outlines of cannons that were extended on the side of the fortress as well as a CCTV camera that was staring right at her. ¡°Come in, come in!¡± Riley shouted at Eleanor at the entrance. As Eleanor stepped towards the entrance, a bright light completely submerged her, she covered her visor with her hands and switched off her night vision. The inside of the control station was as grand as its outside. There were huge pillars, or acid and detergent containers that stood hundreds of meters from the ground. On the sides of the room were all sorts of repairing stations with robotic arms. In the centre of the room was a large floating map of the world with all the isolation camp locations. ¡°Wow,¡± Eleanor gasped. ¡°Impressive, right?¡± Riley said proudly and led Eleanor towards the virtual map, ¡°this map is being updated every second, the red dots mean a camp that has a new infection, the green dots mean a camp that has no new cases in two years, and the grey dots means the camps that are¡lost.¡± ¡°Where are the green dots?¡± ¡°Well, if you are patient enough, one might show up sooner or later,¡± Riley claimed and sat down heavily. It took out a digital note pad and scrolled through a list, ¡°let me see, what do I need to get¡¡± Beep! Beep! Beep! The two turned their heads and saw a yellow light flashing rapidly and then¡ Vrrrrrrrrrrrr! The large steel door beside the light swung open quickly and snowflakes flew in rapidly. Then there was the roar of a powerful engine with two powerful spotlights appearing from the darkness. A monster of a vehicle drove in slowly from the outside. It was not a normal AFV, its tank treads were twice the width as Jeff¡¯s and it had a march larger turret with a nice arrowhead design on the turret cheeks. In the centre of the turret was long cannon with a square opening. ¡°That¡that¡¯s an MBT!¡± Eleanor¡¯s voice shook with fear. ¡°Yes,¡± said Riley who stood up from its seat, ¡°I might know¡¡± ¡°RILEYYYYYYY!!!!!!¡± the cupola of the MBT opened and a cheerful, but still digital voice appeared, ¡°what¡¯s up big sissy!¡± ¡°Aha,¡± Riley sat down again, ¡°its Jessica, another Class F like myself.¡± ¡°Hang on,¡± Eleanor said, ¡°did it, I mean she, just called you ¡®sister¡¯?!¡± Jessica quickly climbed out of the turret of the MBT. Unlike Riley, she was much smaller and was completely pink. Her armour still showed certain female features that allowed others to quickly interoperate her gender despite not seeing her actual appearance. Jessica didn¡¯t carry any handgun, instead, she carried a long shotgun on her back with a wooden butt with flowery carvings. ¡°She is NOT my sister!¡± Riley cried. ¡°Why don¡¯t you tell me you are a girl too?¡± asked Eleanor curiously, ¡°I was guessing the whole time.¡± ¡°Big sissy likes to play tricks on people,¡± Jessica walked towards them and took off her shotgun, ¡°where¡¯s Jeff? Don¡¯t tell me it is broken, it was like a father to me, but I lived it like my son.¡± ¡°Jeff¡¯s outside,¡± Riley replied and looked at Jessica¡¯s tank, ¡°I never know that the vehicle entrance was fixed.¡± ¡°You dummy!¡± Jessica slapped Riley¡¯s helmet, ¡°Jake and I fixed it last month when we were locked in here due to the superstorm. Anyway, who is she¡OOOOOOOO¡is that an FN195?!¡± ¡°Yes,¡± said Riley, ¡°the last one in her camp.¡± ¡°NOICE!¡± Jessica jumped in front of Eleanor like a cat (her suit is far more flexible than Riley¡¯s), ¡°You must be infected right?! Can you feel yourself starting to inflate with the gas? Is there pentagon-shaped wounds forming on your face? How long can you still live?¡± ¡°Ehhhh¡¡± Eleanor couldn¡¯t say a word to those harsh questions. ¡°I¡¯m joking X-D,¡± Jessica hugged around Eleanor tightly, ¡°I am sorry, girl, but at least you got more time to spare than many others. Anyway Riley, why is she here? Don¡¯t tell me¡OH NO! Riley, you are so naughty.¡± ¡°That¡¯s NOT HOW IT IS!¡± Riley cried, ¡°Eleanor just wants to travel around the world with me.¡± ¡°That¡¯s so rrrrrrrooooomantic,¡± Jessica shook her body rapidly, ¡°Oooooo should I go to another control station so you two can¡¡± ¡°JESSICA!¡± ¡°That¡¯s a joke lol,¡± Jessica stepped back, ¡°actually, I must stay because my poor Doggy was hit by an anti-tank missile yesterday and the transmission turned orange.¡± While saying Jessica pointed at the large blast mark on the side skirts of her tank. In the middle of the blast was a small hole that went deep into the tank. ¡°Do you know how annoying those outlaws were,¡± Jessica said angrily and removed the armour skirt on her tank, ¡°those bastards, I¡¯ll make sure to bring more acid rounds next time and melt their asses.¡± Eleanor watched curiously as Jessica started to dismantle the broken parts on her tank and asked, ¡°where do the outlaws come from?¡± ¡°The outlaws?¡± Jessica turned around, ¡°Normally it is because their camp turned grey, or they are part of Freedom Movement, those dump shits, if I find their leader, I¡¯ll sure shoot him in the nut first before finishing him off.¡±
