 The Deal

    It''s 6 in the morning, I got up to go to school, that by itself is pretty boring and exhausting. The days were strenuous and every time, it looked much longer, but there were only a few weeks to finish and enjoy a well-deserved vacation.


    Taking strength from the deepest part of me, I got up from bed to get a shower, and then go for breakfast, after that I was ready to go to School. It was 6:27 in the morning, the classes began in 33 minutes, I have to go quick if I don''t want to be late, the good part is that it is not far from home, and I can go jogging, in the way a meet with Alex and Eric my best friends, they were waiting for me in the School front door.


    Alex is an Afro-American a little bit taller than me with cropped hair and a warm face with amber eyes, I got a lot of respect for him because he had defended me when I needed it the most in my first days of school and has gotten in many troubles with me and with Eric. Eric is the troublemaker, he is caucasian with blonde hair a face of a trickster and green eyes, he is almost my size but doesn''t reach my ear, it angers him a little, most of the times Alex and I had to get in his troubles to avoid him breaking his bones, but we never got problems with that, because he is the youngest of us three, I consider him a little brother, talking about family, the oldest of us all, is Eliott, my big brother.Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval.     Eliott is a very intelligent and considerate person with all, He is taller than me and is an older version of me and a younger one of my dad, but his better trait is his perseverance and compassion, that is why his girlfriend never thinks of leaving him, she would be crazy if she did, also, she lives with us. The day passed slowly as usual and my teacher Melvin always talking crazy shit about Demons and other fantastic things, he looks almost exactly like the Doctor from that old movie, Going back to the future but with a mustache and black hair, the case about what he says is that it would be impossible to meet one, everyone says he is nuts and everything he says is lies, but from a lie, there must be a fraction of truth, I think.


    At the end of classes, I said goodbye to Alex and Eric and began walking towards home without thinking that would be my last day of my life... or maybe not...

 -The Meeting- Chapter 1

    On my way home I always look at the street for precaution, considering that in this city the people drive like madmen or drunk, taking note that in the suburbs there is always a liquor store nearby, here is always one.


    This peculiar city is called Mount Vald¨¦s, it was founded by an explorer in his way to find new lands, Arturo Vald¨¦s. The history of this city is not important, and almost everything could be considered a clich¨¦, which its a little sad and pretty much anticlimatic if you think about it.


    While I am walking, I start to feel something weird, like I was being watched, "it must be fatigue, yesterday I got to bed at midnight, but then I was waiting for that movie for some time, so I didn''t want to lose it".


    I keep walking with my thoughts in the air... and don''t realize that I am in the middle of the street and see that a truck is coming right at me... fortunately, I move fast and evade it, only to see a metal beam from the nearby construction fall on me...


    I awoke in a room without any light and couldn''t relate how I got there, I could swear I was walking the street at that moment. A voice in the darkness got me out of my stupor.

    When it told me its name I awoke in a hospital bedroom with my head bandaged and an excruciating pain in all my body, my parents were asleep with red faces, I think for crying, in the bedroom chairs for relatives or friends.


    I wonder how much time I was here... but, what worries me more is that strange dream ?it was a dream? either way, I better keep resting, I am too sore to think about bullshit.


    But being honest, the intrigue gnaw my mind, that name appeared and vanished from my mind like a whisper, smooth and slow until there was only a letter, sadly I stopped thinking about that conversation until it vanished completely, ?could it be true? what my teacher said, there exist beings far away from this world, ?Are we human unique? or ?Are we common at the sights of other creatures that exist before us or others long gone? it was oppressive thinking about many things without sense, all of this gave me a headache and I stopped thinking.


    The next day the doctors gave discharge to me, being my body who contradicted their diagnostics and common thinking, a normal human would be prostrated for days in a bed if he or she survived to such an accident, but my parents were only happy to have me back at home today, also the hospitals had gotten more expensive with the new regulations imposed by the estate.


    My body was in a certain way recovered, I didn''t get injuries that would affect my life and my future, some Doctors were having crazy ideas, they wanted to keep me in the hospitals to check me thoroughly, obviously, I declined, freaks, my family and I got out of there.

    My parents said to me I was in a coma for 2 days straight, that by the way surprised me pretty much and explained why I didn''t feel so afflicted, even so, I still got some sprains in my body, but no fracture, by a miracle I guess, I imagine the suffering I would have felt to have been conscious in that moment, sure would have been insupportable, being truthful I missed already food from home, even if I was only a day in the hospital aware of my situation "Hospital food is horrible, except for the jelly" upon returning home I saw my brother waiting at the door.

    I arrived at school doors to find my friends with a surprised face, like when you think you saw a ghost or something like that.

    ¡ª Well not so good, I still have some minor pains, but nothing than an aspirin can''t solve, but its good to be alive and in the word of the living ¡ªWell that has some truth in there.

    I arrived home and found my family in the table, there was my brother, I didn''t ask why he wasn''t in the morning, I''m 17, and not so oblivious about private matters if it was what I think it was. After dinner, I got to my room and finished doing my things, I laid down in bed, but I remembered the problem, Aishti.

The room was void of life, I look around with curiosity, and catch with my sight a door open, this picks my interest and got closer. At the entrance of the door, I see a light that follows an adorned corridor with some paintings of a beautiful woman with pale skin and using extravagant and eyecatching dresses in each one, and even more doors in every side of the same corridor.

    While I observe the paintings and keep walking, I stopped sporadically trying to open some doors if they were open... all closed, I guess I had to go to the end and see if the final one was open.


    When I was getting closer I saw that it was half-open, I opened it to get a peek and what I saw was weird, "?If this is Hell why is there a garden?" it was one of those that have the mansions of extra rich people, this had a Fountain and an entrance to what seemed a labyrinth, surprisingly, although being a garden I didn''t see even one flower.


    Since there was nothing else that called my attention I entered the labyrinth it was one of those with walls made of hard bushes.


    ¡ª Ok, more and more I get convinced this is some kind of mansion, but I have still some inquisitiveness, I expect this is not one of those labyrinths with things that follow you all around the place like in that movie ¡ªI wish I was mistaken, after exploring like for 10 minutes in that place and get lost, I started hearing strange noises around, like something following my track.


    ¡ª ?Shit I am not going to die in the underworld! ¡ªI started running like a madman and the noises kept increasing, this told me I needed to keep running for my life, I dint want to meet the author of the growls, that later converted in roars.


    I kept escaping from the creature like for 20 minutes, sneaking away in every turn, but still not losing it, it felt like a marathon of 3 hours, and still, dint see what it was that hunted me, not that I wanted to, I kept escaping after retaking my breath for a moment to continue looking for the exit, but I only got dead ends, this place got me terrified, the walls looked like they were closing on me, and the sounds melted with my surroundings, giving that effect that everywhere is a monster, I thought that I was entering a panic estate or worse schizophrenia.


    ¡ª If I don''t get out of this fucking place, I can''t get back home, damn my curiosity ¡ªI didn''t say it in a serious voice at all, my curiosity has given me some good stuff in the past, like that time, I encountered the director with the chemistry teacher, thank God they are in good shape, I would have got the Jeeves, whatever, I got 20 in that class in all the year, ?only to shut up? yes please, but I still got a problem in the present time and following.


    I continued advancing until I found an exit, there was a fricking battle arena, suddenly I heard the roar of the thing following me, it was Chimera, a mythological beast with the parts of various animals in one body, the most common one was a Lion''s head, a goat, and a snake in the tail, this one was a bull-like dog with a boar and the tail of a centipede, it was grotesque.


    ¡ª You are shiting me if you think I can kill that thing, is impossible, I don''t even have any means to defend myself ¡ªThe Arena heard my thoughts apparently because various weapons started falling from the sky and I had to move to avoid getting impaled to the ground or slashed by one, in front of me fell a katana ¡ª?Really? ?A Katana? ?You think I can kill a Hulking beast with a sable? is useless, and this one is an original katana made of iron, I can see the rust, ?this shit is going to break in an instant! ¡ªI discarded the crap and started looking for something more useful, in 5 meters I saw a spear, but the chimera started moving too.

 -The Meeting- Chapter 4

    My tiredness had accumulated on my way here, I can feel my muscles having little spams, I was sweating in places that I don''t want to mention, ?But why did I have energy yet? Or was something else that drove me, ?was it rage or defiance? I don''t know, that thing perturbed me in all the way here and I''m sure of one thing, I reached the spear and took it pointing it at the beast, Its movement was ridiculous, it zigzagged at an abysmal speed to my eyes, it reached me in seconds and knocked me to the bush wall with the paw, making me lose the air in my lungs, it didn''t even use the claws, this bastard was toying with me, "it thinks that I''m a toy... I''m going to make that thing regret it" I got up with the help of the spear in my hands and started to walk towards it, accelerating little by little until I was jogging, intending to impale the spear in its throat, the beast noted my intention because it accepted the challenge with a howl from the dog face, the boar was salivating, and the tail skittering with its legs, it jumped to my right trying to flank me, I stopped dry and pointed the spear at the dog''s face and pushed making a tiny scratch in the cheek, gaining a gnarl and a sweep to my legs with the centipede tail, making me lose my balance and the result was, that I fell backward, that fucker tried to attack me with the claws, I rolled to the left and got up the fastest that I could, If I wanted to hurt that thing right I needed to get rid of the tail, that hurts my plans to get out of here alive.


    I began to scan the floor for something that can protect me and maybe cut the tail if I got close enough, with my vision I found a shield and by its side an ax, they were some meters away, I ran for both with the Chimera following. While I was running I got an idea that could slow down the beast, with the spear still in my hands I slid in the ground nailing it like a stake with the point facing the Chimera, it didn''t expect that, because the Boar head got impaled in the center, the dog one was growling and barking in pain, and the tail was sweeping randomly everywhere, with this distraction I took the shield and the ax, and with the chimera still trying to draw the spear out, I approached one of its sides and began to escalate, being careful of the tail and the paws trying to attack me, but with its state of panic I reached the top safely, with some force I cleaved the ax to where I saw was the base of the tail and the blood was expulsed explosively, It looked like I cut a principal vein, irritated the chimera tried to shake me to fall, I put the shield in my back and clung hard to its fur and began cleaving the ax once again, my arms went numb due to the exercise, is the most strength I have ever used in my life, but I didn¡¯t stop, the centipede tail tried to knock me, but it didn¡¯t have the reach or only touched were the shield was, that by itself was lucky as fuck, but the tail could do nothing to stop me, and it was almost cut in half, the blood inundated the dirt floor.


    The tail fell with a snap and continued moving a little until it didn''t, but the beast was furious, it jumped and kicked me off its back, it rolled in the ground ignoring the broken spear in the boar head, it was only the dog head, and it looked at me with primal rage, The Chimera pounced at me, it didn''t want to play anymore, the ax got stuck where the tail was, I needed something else to defend myself, I took the shield out, and evited being shredded to smithereens by the claws, but got pushed away letting go of the shield, I was in the ground again, I got up and saw a dagger nearby, I saw the shield broken on the floor and the Chimera looking at me and with the disposition to attack me, I needed to finish this, I was tired, I wanted to cry, to call for help, but no one will come, I only got myself, my energy was drained, and that bastard didn¡¯t look better than me, it lost two of his parts, a lot of blood, or well what I think is a lot of his blood, i reached the dagger and when i took it, that thing knocked me down and slashed at my chest, i think that gave me a contusion and some scratches in the chest also out of air again in my lungs you fucking piece of shit, it didnt reach my flesh because of the hoodie i was wearing, "Yeah i sleep with a hoodie, fuck you all, is cold in my room"  It got on top of me and I put the dagger in his right eye, making it yelp, but it didnt stop trying to bite me, i stopped him with my legs in his neck and pushed the dagger more and more inside his eye socket, covering me with more blood.


    ¡ª ?DIE YOU FUCKING SON OF A BITCH, JUST DIE! ¡ªI pulled the dagger out and inserted it again in its eye with rage, it reached the brain, the thing fell on top of me, smashing my body with all its weight, I began to crawl outside carefully, walking away of the pestilence of its maw, and with that moment, I took a breath in the floor, basking in the glory of defeating such a beast, but the guilt invaded me, I killed a living being, this had moral weight for me, I couldn''t stomach it and vomited on the floor, I did to survive, but ?why I feel so miserable? I squashed ants and other bugs all my life, and never got any revulsion about it, but this, I didn''t look at the creature and started walking away looking for an exit.


    ¡ª I hope this is the end, I don''t wish to see another one of those...


    With my body weak, I discarded the hoodie to the ground, it was filled with blood and it disgusted me to no limit, "I don''t want to lose more from my stomach" Some distance away I found an entrance far away from where I entered this arena.


    ¡ª I guess I have to follow the yellow road ¡ªI followed the new road of the labyrinth until I found an exit, this takes me to a clear with a river with a decorative awning or hut without walls by the side, like one of those you see in big parks, it looked perfect to get some rest.


    ¡ª If this is hell why it has gardens, labyrinths and clears with rivers, I think I got to the wrong place while I was sleeping

    I finished walking the road that was missing and saw a girl with an age more or less contemporary with me, she wore a loose dress black in color, large sleeves and some details in a gothic style in purple, she had long wavy hair silver in color, her ears were a little pointed, from her lower back sprouted two delicate and stylized wings black as night, there was a thin tail that ended in three points, she too have two pearly white horns sprouting from the sides of the head, going forward and curving towards the front and up, like a regal crown or tiara, and I was seeing her from behind, when I was getting closer, I heard her voice with clarity for the first time, it was penetrating and beautiful, she had an accent that only had the ladies of high lineage, or so I think, and an incomprehensible calmness.
