《An Otherworldly Tale: The Girl》 Chapter 3: Elder Sister Chapter 3: Elder Sister ¡°Ah.... Prince, that was a bit¡...that wasn¡¯t unexpected of her¡...I recommend thinking your questions over before you ask next time.¡± Bernard said, almost vomiting ¡°Oh¡.. Sorry, my curiosity got the better of me. But she¡¯s immortal? How?¡± The prince asked, reaching for his ear in a daze ¡°Two reasons. One is that she-ah. No, I¡¯m not allowed to say. Sorry. The thought still hurts me a little, even.¡± Bernard said, flinching ¡°Who is she? I think I understand why she already feels so strongly at such a young age, but¡...¡± The prince said, looking at the blood that now caked the ground around where she had been ¡°You two are merely a year apart.¡± Bernard said He noticed the princes face ¡°Sorcier. I recommend not falling for her. It will only lead to pain. And as she said, she isn¡¯t interested in men. So there isn¡¯t even a chance in the first place.¡± Bernard said ¡°Bernard, so informal. Isn¡¯t that against the rules? Little Brother, you should give him a little punishment.¡± A voice said, teasingly ¡°Guh!¡± Bernard said, the vomit he had tried to hold back spilled out, and he went to the bushes, all of it dribbling from his mouth before he finally let it out. ¡°Oh, dear. He seems to be broken.¡± The voice said ¡°Elder Sister, stop torturing my servants. Just leave. I¡¯m thinking about something.¡± The prince saidThe genuine version of this novel can be found on another site. Support the author by reading it there. ¡°Ah. Right. Today was the day you were supposed to meet with serana, wasn¡¯t it. The meeting you set up without fathers permission. I¡¯m guessing you didn¡¯t learn much, thankfully.¡± Elder sister said ¡°What? What do you mean by that?¡± The prince asked ¡°The floor is clean. From your vomit, at least. Ah. Anyway, just be happy you don¡¯t know much. And despite that damning curiosity of yours, trying to learn is probably going to cause more than one person pain. At least leave it alone so another person doesn¡¯t get hurt. Just forget it. Unless dad tells you.¡± Elder sister said ¡°Then I¡¯ll ask him tomorrow.¡± The prince said ¡°Little brother, you misunderstood. I meant if dad calls you over and tells you. Asking him without warning is going to get you beaten black and blue. On dad¡¯s own orders. Well, I¡¯ll leave.¡± Elder sister said, leaving ¡°Bye, sis.¡± The prince said, sitting there. Confused. ¡°Hm. Evan, you¡¯re there right?¡± Elder sister asked ¡°Yeah, but you know damn well I can¡¯t do anything. Anything else you need besides that, Olivia?¡± Evan asked, popping into existence with a frown ¡°I know. You have to work on that Haruto thing, right? You explained it. Just help her when you¡¯re done dealing with that. Other than that, do you think that the marriage between the two is a good idea?¡± Olivia asked ¡°That¡¯s not my best subj-oh. That¡¯s a problem. Oh, dear. This dimension is trying to register Serena as dead. Two things are happening. One, Serena is repeatedly dying. She might be stuck right now. Two, she was the main character, so her temporary absence caused a soul to float in years ago, and the detection on that soul is also showing it continuously dying. Another soul floated in, yet again.¡± Evan said ¡°Enough gibberish, cloud boy. explain.¡± Olivia said ¡°Well, someone from another world reincarnated here around the same time serana was born, and it just happened again. I¡¯ll check on serana and then the girl. She¡¯s in the next country over. I don¡¯t think I talked about her before. Then I have to talk with the soul that¡¯s waiting in the middle of this world and their previous one. So I gotta go make sure they¡¯re both fine. See ya livvy!¡± Evan said, disappearing into thin air. ¡°Hmph. You better hurry up with that haruto guy.¡± Livvy said Chapter 4: Strawberry Chapter 4: Strawberry ¡°What the heck? Where¡ where am I?¡± A girls voice asked She looked around, and it was all just void. She was floating. ¡°Yo. You know the tropes, right? I¡¯m god. Call me Evan. I don¡¯t have enough power to stop a transfer, and you only got here by pure sheer luck. Both of the other main souls in this dimension are currently dying repeatedly, so it drew a new one. As it always is, was it a truck, maybe?¡± Evan asked, popping up out of nowhere ¡°Huh? Wait. The stories are true? So, I¡¯m going to another world? Also....yeah. It was a truck.¡± She asked ¡°Hm. One sec. let¡¯s see. Hm. Strawberry, huh? Hello, ichigo. The answer is yes. But it won¡¯t happen again. Alright. So, currently there is one other person who reincarnated from¡ around your area, actually. You guys lived quite close to each other. Know anyone who got hit by a truck or died around, what, 9 years or so ago?¡± Evan asked, tapping a clipboard ¡°Uh. Yes. Wait, is it Asami?¡± Ichigo asked ¡°Hm. So that¡¯s a yes. Cool. You guys know each other. Well, I¡¯ll be with you occasionally down there, keeping track of things as best I can with my limited power. So. A power. Right. Choose one.¡± Evan said ¡°Wait, hold on. You¡¯re god? That¡¯s pretty cool. What¡¯s it like?¡± Ichigo asked ¡°Hm? Oh, I¡¯ll talk to you in the other world. Right now, keeping you here is straining this place. But I can¡¯t give you power on the other side. So is there anything you want?¡± Evan asked ¡°Is Magic okay?¡± Ichigo asked ¡°Sure. I can just train you.¡± Evan said ¡°Good enough for me, lets go.¡± Ichigo said, stretching ¡°Right, you will be a child, a baby, so try not to freak out.¡± Evan said ¡°Why worry. Every little things gonna be alright, right?¡± Ichigo asked, zoning out a bit. ¡°Right. Let¡¯s go.¡± Evan said, snapping his fingers They disappeared from the void Ichigo opened her eyes. ¡°Huh? Where am I?¡± Ichigo asked ¡°You¡¯re a baby.¡± Evan said ¡°I know that much, I meant in the world.¡± Ichigo said ¡°Hm. Well. Massive coincidence.... You¡¯re Asamis¡¯ younger sister.¡± Evan said ¡°A girl? Darn. Thought maybe a guy would be more interesting.¡± Ichigo said ¡°I didn¡¯t really think to ask. Not that I could change it easily right now. Sorry. If it''s a large problem, let me know. I should have enough power in a few days to fix it.¡± Evan said ¡°It¡¯s fine. I just thought it would be cool, I don¡¯t care about that stuff.¡± Ichigo said ¡°Well, I guess I don¡¯t have to worry about it, then. That¡¯s good. Well, you asked me something earlier?¡± Evan asked ¡°Ah. Yeah, what¡¯s it like being god? Have you ever wanted to become human?¡± Ichigo asked ¡°I am human. God isn¡¯t a species, it¡¯s a title. I¡¯m worshipped across a near infinite amount of realities and infinite dimensions. The god and the demon. That god is me. Kinda.¡± Evan said ¡°Hm. What¡¯s it feel like? Do you ever get bored?¡± Ichigo asked ¡°Well, not really. Mostly I just hang out, it''s kinda what Evans like to do. Otherwise, I¡¯m helping to stabilize dimensions. Technically, I¡¯m not the full original me. I¡¯m a small part of god who was sent to this world to rule it. I''m a dimensional overseer for one of the lesser dimensions. Unlike the main ones, such as the magic world, which is used as a dimensional hub, lesser dimensions are literally just dimensions that aren''t in the web of the main dimensions. I had to fix a tear in our dimension recently, so I used up a lot of power. It will be back in a few days, hopefully. Also, since I¡¯m a god. I¡¯m not exactly a natural existence, so I do actually care about people, unlike reality itself. So I¡¯ll probably be around to talk pretty often. By the way, I''m basically given no rules except ''don''t let the dimension break'', so I¡¯m allowed to do whatever I want to. So if I want, I''ll just occasionally mess with the world. It¡¯s fun.¡± Evan said ¡°So, what kind of story is Asami in?¡± Ichigo asked ¡°That¡. I forgot the category name. It¡¯s where she is getting all the guys. It¡¯s annoying her, though. Tsk tsk tsk, nobody I meet is normal. Ichigo, are you interested in men or women?¡± Evan asked ¡°Either. Peoples people. Gender doesn¡¯t really mean much. At least, not when it comes to influencing my decisions about people. Gender equality because remembering what the difference is is a pain. There¡¯s thousands out there that I would have to remember otherwise. That¡¯s a pain, I have a small brain.¡± Ichigo saidStolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. ¡°I see. Makes sense. I guess. I¡¯m god. I don¡¯t get into that kinda stuff much. Genders haven¡¯t really mattered to gods since pretty much the beginning. We can just change. The only reason it matters for me is because of my wife. She feels the same. Well, kinda.¡± Evan said ¡°You mentioned her before, you have a wife?¡± Ichigo asked ¡°Me? Yes, but actually no. Have you read The god and The Demon?¡± Evan asked ¡°Oh. Yeah. Wait, so, the demon is your wife?¡± Ichigo asked ¡°Yup. I met her before I became god. Loved her ever since.....well.....If I was the real me, at least. I don''t have a Lime to love.¡± Evan said sadly ¡°So, god man, exactly what am I supposed to do? I¡¯m a baby. Do I just sit and cry?¡± Ichigo asked ¡°Hm. Yup. I guess so. Honestly, I¡¯ll just go talk to Asami. Might make it a little easier on you.¡± Evan said ¡°Okay.¡± Ichigo said, falling asleep ¡°Wow.¡± Evan said ¡°Wow, what? Why are you over my baby sister''s crib, Evan?¡± A girl asked, walking into the room ¡°Oh. Asami. Yo.¡± Evan said ¡°That¡¯s not an explanation, that''s a greeting. Where the heck have you been? It¡¯s been months!¡± Asami said ¡°Well, I was dealing with the serana girl I told you about. And your sister is a reincarnated person. Also, there was another huge ass tear in the dimension. So I''ve been quite busy.¡± Evan said ¡°The first and third ones make sense, but what do you mean by the second one?¡± Asami asked ¡°This is Ichigo.¡± Evan said, pointing ¡°That''s not a strawberry. That¡¯s a child.¡± Asami said ¡°I meant the name. Her name is Ichigo. You guys used to live in the same neighborhood. Apparently.¡± Evan said ¡°Ichigo? Oh! Really? But I prepared for an actual sister.¡± Asami said, disappointed ¡°Yeah, I do have to do something about her soul, give me a sec.¡± Evan said, snapping his fingers. Time split, and instead of one child there were now two ¡°There. Your sister and your other sister.¡± Evan said ¡°That was...trippy.¡± Asami said ¡°Yeah, but now you have Ichigo and a normal sister. It would be wrong to deprive a soul their intended body. Oh. That took a lot more power than I thought.¡± Evan said ¡°Jeezes, think about what you do, before you do it!¡± Asami said ¡°I am not your savior¡I¡¯m god. Not Jeezes.¡± Evan said, dizzy ¡°Over exerting my power makes me feel a bit dizzy.¡± Evan said ¡°Yeah, I know. Like how you were spinning after you fixed a different tear in our dimension a few years ago. How in the world are you our omnipotent god?¡± Asami asked ¡°I¡¯m not. I¡¯m a dimensional overseer. We are basically god, but less powerful. And tied to one dimension.¡± Evan said ¡°Considering everything, you must feel trapped here. Though, you are the god of our main religion. What¡¯s with the other gods, though? They gave you a harem.¡± Asami asked ¡°I don¡¯t know. I only love two people. Normally. This me is free to settle down with normal people and basically do whatever. I don¡¯t have a lime. So I have to find my own here. That¡¯s probably why. The real me can only have lime and Reina. But there¡¯s only one goddess of love and beauty. And only one Reina. Then there¡¯s one god. And infinite dimensional overseers based on god. Lime thought it would be cruel to deny us the ability to enjoy ourselves with a family of our own, so she convinced Evan to make us stop loving her.¡± Evan said ¡°But...you¡¯re still crazy about her.¡± Asami said ¡°Of course I am. But it¡¯s at the point where I can accept more than just two people in my heart. Something the real Evan can never do. So I can fall in love with a normal mortal, or another person. In some ways it¡¯s cruel. But it¡¯s nice to have family.¡± Evan said ¡°That¡¯s kind of her.¡± Asami said ¡°Yeah. Lime is the best. The greatest. The Perfect.¡± Evan said ¡°Jeez, sit down. You¡¯re still dizzy.¡± Asami said ¡°Ugh. I need to talk to livvy about something.¡± Evan said ¡°Livvy? Have you met her recently? How is she? Does she remember me?¡± Asami asked ¡°Of course she does. But, livvy is the next saint. I¡¯d recommend not jumping in a giant pit of inescapable poisonous and acidic lava/liquid nitrogen like that. It¡¯s seriously a bad plan. Same with you choosing to die earlier today.¡± Evan said ¡°Hmph. I wanna see livvy! Also, for the record, I did have a good reason for dying.....¡± Asami said ¡°I¡¯ll ask the current saint I guess. It¡¯s technically up to her. Try not to die again while I''m gone.¡± Evan said, poofing away A few minutes passed ¡°He¡¯s gone you know. It¡¯s fine.¡± Asami said ¡°No. Shut up.¡± Asami said, shaking her head ¡°Why? What¡¯s the point. We share the same brain, the same soul. You should know.¡± Asami said ¡°Yes, but¡..no, I¡¯m ignoring you. Your existence itself is wrong. Just shut up. Go away.¡± Asami said ¡°Why? I¡¯m you. You may not be me, but I¡¯m you. I know how you feel. I¡¯m just the only one of us who has the guts to do it. You can¡¯t even say it.¡± Asami said, mockingly ¡°Shut up! Just SHUT UP ALREADY! I¡ get it. But¡ he already found out that we were dying once. You know he¡¯ll instantly notice, right? This is pointless, anyway. I became immortal. I can¡¯t die. And I don¡¯t want to, either! What¡¯s wrong with life?!¡± Asami yelled, pacing back and forth rapidly ¡°Do you remember why we died the first time?¡± Asami asked ¡°Yeah! You took over and threw us in front of a truck!!¡± Asami screamed ¡°That was you. I¡¯m just another part of your thoughts. I¡¯m a part of you.¡± Asami said ¡°No! You are not real at all!! Shut up! I want to LIVE!¡± Asami said ¡°Are you sure? I¡¯m not saying that you don¡¯t. But ask ourself. Do I want to live, or do I want to die. I¡¯m the result of your rejection of the truth. Just think. Calm down, and think about it, Asami.¡± Asami said ¡°No! I¡.I have no idea what I want. I guess¡ now that you asked, I think I know. You¡¯re right. Like always.... But what do we do? What can we even do in the first place?¡± Asami asked, slowing down her pacing ¡°We can become one again, and think together.¡± Asami said ¡°Huh? Oh, al-wait! No! STOP IT! You always do this! Stop controlling me! I don¡¯t want this!¡± Asami yelled, slamming her head against the wall The pain seemed to help her think clearly. The cloudy voice in her head disappeared again. ¡°Ah. There we go. I really need to talk with Livvy. She always has the answer to this.¡± Asami said, dizzy The blood that had been flowing from her head had already stopped, the injury already healed. ¡°Livvy¡.¡± Asami called out, going to sleep on the floor Chapter 5: Holly!! Oh, How Sweet A Saintess Can Truly Be! Chapter 5: Holly!! Oh, How Sweet A Saintess Can Truly Be! ¡°Hey, Misses Saint. Are you here?¡± Evan called ¡°Hmm? Evan, what''s going on? Do you need something? And call me Holly, like you used to. It¡¯s much easier on my ears.¡± Holly said ¡°Oh. Holly. No, I meant the current saint.¡± Evan said ¡°Huh? Why?¡± Holly asked ¡°I wanted to ask her-wait. Holly. You have greater authority than her, right?¡± Evan asked ¡°Huh? Yes. I do, indeed. Do you need something?¡± Holly asked ¡°Oh. Well, I wanted to let livvy meet Asami.¡± Evan asked ¡°Evan. You have higher authority than anybody else in this dimension. Even if you aren¡¯t the real one, you are still you. Are you getting hung up on the whole separate person thing again? Come sit, lay down, relax. You don¡¯t have anything to worry about. This is your dimension. Everything is yours.¡± Holly said ¡°No¡ not just mine.¡± Evan sighed ¡°Are you going to reject me again?¡± Holly asked ¡°....¡± ¡°That¡¯s not a yes.¡± Holly smiled ¡°It¡¯s... also not a no.¡± Evan mumbled Find this and other great novels on the author''s preferred platform. Support original creators! ¡°So stiff. I can be your lime, then?¡± Holly asked ¡°Mm. I guess it¡¯s time to say yes. Yes, you can. I don¡¯t want to be alone. But you aren¡¯t my lime. You¡¯re Holly. I won¡¯t take you as some replacement. If I just take you as a replacement, I¡¯m not sure I¡¯d ever feel right. No, you¡¯re my Holly. Not my lime. I accept already.¡± Evan said ¡°Really? Thank you!! But what made you change your mind?¡± Holly asked ¡°I thought about it. You always say I¡¯m my own person. I think you¡¯re right. Lime isn¡¯t mine. But you aren¡¯t his.¡± Evan said ¡°Nope. I¡¯m yours. You alone.¡± Holly said ¡°How long has it been since you first asked me?¡± Evan asked ¡°I¡¯m not sure. But it was worth it. Now I can stare at you all night long.¡± Holly said, smiling ¡°Holly¡.fine, I relent. It¡¯s up to you now. I need someone to guide me. You¡¯re probably the only anchor I have anymore. No. You¡¯re the only one that I¡¯ve ever had. Just¡. keep me sane.¡± Evan said ¡°So you can admit your feelings. How long have you just been choosing not to tell me?¡± Holly asked, poking Evan. ¡°Holly, oh, dangit Holly. That tickles. Fine¡. same as you... probably.¡± Evan said ¡°Really? I¡¯m glad. Hm. I can see it now, actually. No wonder you acted like that with me. It was since you first started being self conscious around me, wasn''t it. Yeah, that¡¯s around the same time I fell for you. What should I call you then?¡± Holly asked ¡°It¡¯s¡.up to you.¡± Evan said, smiling a little ¡°Darling! I like it! Anything I¡¯m not allowed to do, then?¡± Holly asked ¡°.....no.¡± Evan said, bracing himself ¡°Hm. Next time, then, it¡¯s quite late. We should sleep. Use my bed and my room from now on, okay?¡± Holly asked ¡°Sounds good to me. It¡¯s been a long time since I actually slept.¡± Evan said, relaxing ¡°Then sleep.¡± Holly said, going back to bed ¡°Mhm. Speaking of, why exactly is the bed a heart?¡± Evan asked ¡°To show love. I have a two person bed because of you. It paid off in the end.¡± Holly said, falling asleep ¡°Goodnight, Holly.¡± Evan said softly They slept soundly, unaware of the tragedy around them. They lived in a happy little bubble, away from the woes of the world. For as long as you can, in a world like this, at least. Chapter 6: Little Prince / Tiny prince Chapter 6: Little Prince / Tiny prince A crash of plates woke Holly and Evan up ¡°Huh? What was that? A servant? You okay there? Holly, what¡¯s with the look on your servants face?¡± Evan asked, sitting up, still half asleep The servant ran as fast as she could out the door ¡°Oh. Evan, you¡¯re probably going to be questioned by that idiot of a king.¡± Holly said, sighing ¡°Holly, he isn¡¯t an idiot. He¡¯s just overly protective.¡± Evan said ¡°I¡¯m only the sister of his ancestors. He doesn¡¯t need to be so worried about me. Even if you consider my religious significance, that protection is a bit stifling.¡± Holly said ¡°You¡¯re a part of his family in his eyes. Family is important to almost everyone, right.¡± Evan said ¡°Are you okay with having a family?¡± Holly asked, smiling ¡°Of course. Why? Oh. That¡¯s why. Ah!¡± Evan said ¡°Stop whining and help me with this. I can¡¯t get the latch from where I am.¡± Holly said ¡°Dangit Holly. He¡¯s going to bust in and see us doing this, you realize that, right.¡± Evan said ¡°Oh. I realize that quite well. But it¡¯s a bit better than just any normal explanation. Plus, it¡¯s nice.¡± Holly said, grinning ¡°Ho-Lady Saint!! I heard you have an intru-¡° the king barged in on the two of them Evan was trying to wake up completely, Holly was trying to stop, seeing the king actually barge in. She gave up. ¡°Ah¡.uh¡.y¡..you said it¡. was an intruder¡ this¡ I¡¯m sorry, Ho..Lady Saint¡. I¡¯ll Uh¡ are you not going to stop? Um. We¡¯ll just leave. This is Uh¡. awkward. I did not want to see you like this¡. I¡.¡± the king stuttered ¡°Just...get out!¡± Holly said, smiling uncontrollably ¡°That¡. everybody leave, false alarm.¡± The king said, shutting the door behind him ¡°Holly, you could have at least stopped when he was in here.¡± Evan said, frowning ¡°I tried. I actually tried!¡± Holly said, collapsing Evan got out of bed, Holly having exhausted herself back to sleep, and went to talk to the king ¡°Hey. Little prince. Oh. You were listening? Still as naughty as ever.¡± Evan said, sighing ¡°Who? You¡. you look familiar. Wait, you were the one who was¡. with.... who¡.. Holly! Is Holly okay?!¡± The king stuttered ¡°She¡¯s fine. She exhausted herself and fell back asleep. She won¡¯t wake up too soon. Even if she does, it would probably be a bit difficult to move.¡± Evan said ¡°That¡¯s¡. good?¡± The king asked ¡°Little prince, you did it with your wife, didn¡¯t you? It¡¯s normal. It¡¯s how you make a family, after all.¡± Evan said, lecturing the king ¡°Stop calling me little prince! Who are you? And how do you know that nickname! Did Holly tell you?! Why are you here?!¡± The king asked, pointing ¡°Little prince, I was the one who gave you this nickname. Of course I know it. Did you really forget me?¡± Evan asked, wiping off some sweat ¡°Here. Use a towel at least¡ jeez. So¡.. you¡¯re Holly¡¯s husband? No, she¡¯s never been married. For that matter, as far as I know, she¡¯s never done that¡.¡± the king said, handing Evan a towel ¡°Oi. Little prince. Snap out of it. She¡¯s older than your grandparents. Though I must admit-no. I can admire her later. For now I should set things straight.¡± Evan said ¡°You realize I¡¯m the king, right? Why are you able to be so casual with me? To the point that you even dare use my nickname. I could lock you up with a snap of my fingers.¡± The king said threateningly ¡°You can¡¯t lock me up.¡± Evan said ¡°Of course I can! I¡¯m the king.¡± The king said ¡°I meant that you physically do not have the ability to keep me contained, let alone just restrained. If you did, I would probably blow the castle into the sky with one of your petty snaps. Locking me up? Stupid, stupid little prince. Can you not recognize your elders? You were such a brilliant little kid. Well, you still are as long as you aren¡¯t shocked, I guess. Seriously though, little prince, I¡¯m together with Holly. What¡¯s that have to do with you? Did you want to watch more? I could ask Holly. I don¡¯t think she minds. But I¡¯m assuming that¡¯s a no. We don¡¯t have time for tha-that¡¯s a face of disappointment. Little prince, what have you become.¡± Evan asked, shaking his head ¡°Hey! You¡¯re the one who off- wait, no! Stop calling me little pri-wait, not that, either¡..Uh¡. ah! Who are you?!¡± The king asked ¡°I¡¯m god. Nice to see you again, little prince.¡± Evan smiled ¡°Youwha? Waiholonimconfosedwhatsgoing on?¡± The king mumbled and blended his words together ¡°The¡. Lady Saint¡. and¡. god¡. are¡.. together?¡± The king askedThe author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. ¡°Yup. It¡¯s also not your business, little prince.¡± Evan said ¡°No wonder you knew that nickname. Indeed¡. we don¡¯t have the ability to contain you, either¡¡± the king said, falling to his knees ¡°Forgive me. Truly. To someone such as you¡ after all you¡¯ve done for us¡.I was so rude.¡± The king said, distraught ¡°Little prince, there are no issues here. All you did was walk in on me and Holly in the mi-oh. Little prince, your son is here.¡± Evan said ¡°Dad?!?! Dad! Are you okay?¡± The prince asked, running to his father ¡°I¡¯m fine, son.¡± The king said ¡°Who is this¡ partially clothed 19 year old boy? Why are you bowing to him?¡± The prince asked ¡°Hey, darliiing! Come help me! It¡¯s a bit tingly when I move!¡± Holly yelled Evan froze ¡°Tiny prince, you heard nothing.¡± Evan said ¡°But¡ are you¡? You¡¯re the lady Saints husband?¡± The tiny prince asked ¡°Oh. I forgot that you weren¡¯t childish like your father. But yes. Yes I am. Why do you ask?¡± Evan asked ¡°Wait, the lady Saint can''t have a husband. Isn¡¯t it said that she is to be married to god? If so, why would you be saying you are her husband?¡± The prince asked ¡°It¡¯s because he is.¡± The king said ¡°Daaaarliiing!¡± Holly whined Evan smiled ¡°Tiny prince, I¡¯ll be back, ask your father what¡¯s happening.¡± Evan said, going to help Holly ¡°Father? You said he is? What did you mean by that? He is what?¡± The prince asked ¡°God. That boy is god. If you look at the statues, you see that boy. It isn¡¯t just a resemblance. His face is hanging in every church, on the painting above the altar.¡± The king said, pale faced ¡°Father, isn¡¯t god a lie? Everything I read pointed to that.¡± The prince asked ¡°Huh? What the hell have you been reading, boy? The nickname I have is from god. Same with your nickname, tiny prince. And who else do you think can speak to me so casually? Even the other kings in the world wouldn¡¯t dare to annoy me. So why would I let him do it, if he wasn''t god?¡± The king asked, furious. ¡°Well, then. Um. I have a lot of questions that I do not want to ask right now.¡± The prince said, baffled Evan poked his head out again real quickly ¡°Hey, would you guys mind bringing livvy over here, by the way?¡± Evan asked The king froze ¡°Livvy?¡± He asked ¡°Yeah. Olivia.¡± Evan said ¡°Yes¡¡.. of course. I¡¯ll get her myself, if that¡¯s what you want.¡± The king said, smiling ¡°Hm? Ah, right. Holly may or may not need some ice packs, too. It¡¯s a tad too much stimulation for her. I¡¯d appreciate it. Thanks.¡± Evan said, going back in and shutting the door ¡°I¡¯ll¡ go get Olivia¡.not that I want to... Or do I. Hm. Is this a good thing? My son, if you had to choose between your sister''s innocence or gods favor, what would you choose?¡± The king asked, contemplating life itself and overthinking things to the extreme ¡°Um. Probably gods favor? I don¡¯t know what that first one means, exactly. Oh. Oh, wait. Umm¡ still, probably gods favor.¡± The prince said, crossing his arms in thought ¡°I see.¡± The king said, reaching Olivia''s room The king knocked on the door ¡°Olivia? Are you there?¡± The king asked ¡°Dad? Um, one second.¡± Olivia said, getting up to open the door ¡°Here, take these. The lady Saint wants to talk to you. gottagobyelivvy!¡± The king said, running off as fast as a bullet, after handing her a package. ¡°Huh? Hey, wait!.... Little brother, I¡¯m not sure if you know, but would you mind explaining why my father handed me these?¡± Olivia asked, staring at the package, extremely confused ¡°Nope. Lady Saint wants you, gottagobyesis!¡± The prince said rushing off faster than his father ¡°What the? Why¡.. these? I¡¯m so confused. Is¡ there something scary there? Or did dad mistake these with balloons? No... Well, I can¡¯t exactly refuse.¡± Livvy said, going to Holly¡¯s room She knocked on the door, hearing a noise from inside and realizing what had probably happened. She sighed, busting open the door with a kick ¡°Huh? Ah! Livvy! Ah, wait, why are you here so quick? Gimme a minute!¡± Evan said, fumbling around ¡°Not needed. Explain why dad gave me these.¡± Livvy asked, throwing the package at him ¡°I¡. have no idea. Are these¡. his? I feel kinda bad for him. But these wouldn¡¯t fit me¡¡± Evan said, pitying the king ¡°Yeah. I can see that. You mind covering up a little?¡± Livvy asked ¡°Huh? Ah!¡± Evan said pulling up the blanket, and putting on his clothes ¡°Jeez. I think I get it. You were banging Holly and my dad walked in, didn¡¯t he? You had some sort of conversation and you asked him to bring me here, making him have a massive misunderstanding. Unless, however, it wasn¡¯t a misunderstanding. In which case, I do agree. Those aren¡¯t big enough.¡± Livvy said, grinning Evan whimpered ¡°Livvy¡.stop...messing around¡. with him.¡± Holly said ¡°Jeez, you¡¯re literally shaking. Are you okay? You look a bit funny.¡± Livvy said ¡°Nope. Just happy.¡± Holly said, grinning like a fool ¡°Well, I could hear you from the hall. What is with you two... Anyway, what did you need me for?¡± Livvy asked ¡°Well¡ uh¡. you know how weddings work, you¡¯ve told me about them before. So I was wondering¡. maybe you could help us get married?¡± Evan asked ¡°Evan, darling, I want it to be known by the whole world. There¡¯s ones for the saint and royalty, right?¡± Holly asked ¡°Are you joking? You called me here for that?¡± Livvy asked ¡°Well, it¡¯s not like you¡¯re busy today. Besides, I have a few days before I get my power back. I can help serana then.¡± Evan said ¡°Huh? Serana? Nonononono! Evan, don¡¯t get involved with that. Seriously.¡± Holly said, making a giant X with her arms ¡°Did you see something?¡± Evan asked ¡°Yes. If you leave it, it¡¯s going to be better off. I was wondering why the future was flickering. Out of the two, your uninvolvement is much better in the end. For everybody.¡± Holly said ¡°I trust you. Livvy?¡± Evan asked ¡°It¡¯s the saint. Of course I trust her.¡± Livvy said ¡°So¡. we just leave her alone?¡± Evan asked, worried ¡°Darliiing! Don¡¯t worry so much! Okay?¡± Holly said ¡°So upbeat. This is nice. I do feel bad, though.¡± Livvy said ¡°Same¡ hey, Livvy. I got an idea. Let¡¯s trick your father.¡± Holly said, pointing at the package ¡°Sounds good to me.¡± Livvy said, grinning ¡°Are you guys sure?¡± Evan asked ¡°Yup. Livvy, just spit in them. Yeah. There.¡± Holly said ¡°All of them?¡± Livvy asked ¡°All of them. And throw them everywhere. Even in the hall.¡± Holly said, smirking ¡°This might teach that cheeky old man something.¡± Livvy said ¡°This is¡.a tad much.¡± Evan said, kind of creeped out ¡°You haven¡¯t seen anything yet, Darling! Here!¡± Holly said, rumpling her clothes and Livvys clothes, as well as the hair ¡°Ack.¡± Livvy said ¡°Alright. Now take one with spit in it and dump it in your mouth when your dad walks in¡± Holly said ¡°Both swallow. Right? Hehehehehe. This is gonna be funny.¡± Livvy said with an evil smirk ¡°I¡¯ll go get him before you two think up anything worse. Is it really that fun to make the king squirm with discomfort...¡± Evan said, sighing Chapter 7: The Queen / Faith And Devotion. I Happily Give My Life For My Sins. Chapter 7: The Queen / Faith And Devotion. I Happily Give My Life For My Sins Evan went to go grab the king. The queen was in the room, questioning the king, having been told the situation by the tiny prince. ¡°You WHAT?¡± The queen asked ¡°Ack.¡± The king said ¡°Uh oh.¡± Evan said ¡°Uh oh? What uh oh. Is there more to worry about?¡± The king asked "Well, Livvy said to come to the lady saints room." Evan said, "What a weird servant. So calm and casual around us. Interesting." The queen said The king flinched "Le-Let''s just go to Livvy, okay?" The king said nervously They walked towards Hollys'' room. ¡°Yeah, uh, I¡¯m just gonna hide over here, ok? Ok.¡± Evan said, slipping around a corner and out of sight The queen opened the door to the both of them on the bed. They enacted their devious scheme, thinking it was the king She started screaming and roaring, like g*dzilla. Understandably. ¡°Wait, mom! It was a joke! I was trying to get back at dad!¡± Livvy said The queen ignored her ¡°Alright, you old bastard, who is the bastard who did this?¡± The queen asked, holding the king up by the collar, the rest of his body slack on the ground out of fear. ¡°God.¡± The king said, cowering ¡°God my ASS! Where is he!¡± The queen asked ¡°He was the one that ran around the corner and disappeared.¡± The king said, cowering He pointed to the cornerThis narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon. ¡°Alright. Got it. I¡¯ll be¡. right back.¡± The queen said, furious. She walked behind the corner and immediately back, holding an Evan by the shirt like a cat that tried to escape and squirmed in her grip, her dress slightly damaged from the pursuit ¡°So¡ it was¡ this boy? I see. I guess I understand, then. If he¡¯s my type then he¡¯s probably going to be my daughter''s type, too. I thought she was being forced.¡± The queen said, panting from chasing Evan so far so fast ¡°Then can you put me down?¡± Evan asked ¡°Nope. I¡¯m executing you.¡± The queen said, dragging a finger across her neck ¡°Well, I can¡¯t have that.¡± Evan said teleporting to the door ¡°Huh? Um. That was¡. honey, who did you say that was?¡± The queen asked, sweating slightly Her face looked extremely nervous ¡°G-God, dear. He¡¯s god.¡± The king said ¡°Oh. I..... think I made a terrible mistake. Did I just tell god that I was going to execute him? Please tell me I¡¯m dreaming. If I did that to someone we owe this much to, I think I might kill myself out of guilt.¡± The queen said, horrified ¡°It¡ was god.¡± The king said, closing his eyes with regret ¡°Yes yes, hallo! I¡¯m god, nice ta meetchya!¡± Evan said, posing ¡°So¡ I did. Well, then. Bye everyone.¡± The queen said, smiling She broke a nearby vase, and picked up one of the shards, immediately driving it into her neck. Or, at least, she tried to. ¡°Woah woah woah! Jeez! Your faith in me is way too much. Stop it. You only talked to me a little bit.¡± Evan said, stopping her ¡°But what if you were in one of your weakened states?! We actually could have killed you! Of course I would rather die!¡± The queen said ¡°Holly would never let that happen.¡± Evan said, frowning ¡°That¡¯s¡ true.¡± The queen conceded ¡°Now, don¡¯t be so reckless next time. Let me see your hand. Yeah, look! It¡¯s bleeding. That¡¯s not good!¡± Evan said, healing her hand ¡°Oh, my. That feels quite nice.¡± The queen said ¡°.....Speaking of that, your husband threw extra small condoms at me. Well, at Livvy. You guys realize that wouldn¡¯t fit, right? So there¡¯s no way those would actually be full. Just¡ letting you know. Also, um. Sorry. Must be kinda rough.¡± Evan said, patting the king on the back ¡°Ouch. Pitied by even god.¡± Holly said ¡°Yeah¡ it is a bit¡ well, it¡¯s fine.¡± The queen said ¡°Really? Well, I¡¯ll give you this, try it out maybe?¡± Evan said, throwing the queen a box ¡°Huh? OH!! I¡¯m pretty sure I will. Thanks!!!¡± The queen grinned, dragging a confused king away ¡°And that got rid of them for¡.. let¡¯s see¡ the kit is supposed to last around four hours each use, so at least that long. Ugh. I have a headache. Why does this always happen when I appear? Livvy, how chaotic would the wedding be if it was public?¡± Evan asked ¡°That doesn¡¯t matter. It¡¯s required by law for any saint''s marriage to be made a public event.¡± Livvy said ¡°Well¡.wait, she isn¡¯t a saint, she¡¯s the lady Saint, right?¡± Evan asked ¡°I thought that for a second, too, but it includes an or above bit. So to be officially recognized, it has to go through the church first, and then it¡¯s publicized. With photos. After that, it¡¯s prepared for, and then you guys have your wedding.¡± Livvy said ¡°I already let the church know! They have the pictures, too.¡± Holly said happily They both stared at her Chapter 8: Jonas / The Bishops Cruel New Fate Chapter 8: Jonas / The Bishops Cruel New Fate ¡°Livvy, how long does it usually take to become public?¡± Evan asked ¡°Hm... Up to a day.¡± Livvy said ¡°Soooo. What do I do?¡± Evan asked ¡°Well¡.you can¡¯t go outside without being recognized instantly anymore.¡± Livvy said, sighing ¡°Did I perhaps¡ mess up?¡± Holly asked nervously ¡°Maybe a little bit.¡± Evan said ¡°He¡¯s being nice. You did. A lot. He might not even be able to go through the castle without people worshipping him, stopping everything they¡¯re doing in the process. As we said, the church only allows the lady Saint to be wed to god. That was your decree. Which means they formally recognize him as god across the entire world. Wait¡ Holly. How did you convince them he was god?¡± Livvy asked ¡°I have videos of everything he¡¯s done. His face is clear in frame most of the time. I showed them those.¡± Holly said, smiling innocently ¡°Videos? What¡¯s that?¡± Asked Livvy ¡°These.¡± Holly said, bringing up a holographic panel with a gesture On it was a moving image. ¡°See?¡± Holly asked ¡°Ah. Yup. That would do it.¡± Livvy said, covering her face with her hand, and groaning with annoyance ¡°Well, getting back on track, when did you do this?¡± Evan asked ¡°While you were asleep.¡± Holly said cheerfully ¡°So¡. are people going to crowd the castle if god appears...... Oh¡... Are there any groups that hate god?¡± Evan asked ¡°Yes. Very few, but there¡¯s some. I¡¯m not sure why. I would understand if we didn¡¯t allow other religions, but we do. They just don¡¯t last here. Why do you ask?¡± Livvy asked ¡°Because of the people over there who have been polite enough to wait for us to finish talking. It¡¯s nice to meet you gentlemen, may I ask why you came?¡± Evan asked a bunch of people that were near the sofas and tea sets. ¡°Ah. Right. Yes. We don¡¯t hate you specifically. Just the religion.¡± The man said ¡°Is it because of how annoyingly fanatical they are about me? I bet it is. Because I don¡¯t particularly care for it myself. Just earlier I had to stop the queen when she tried to kill herself just for being a bit rude, when it was completely justified action towards me as well. Well, kind of. It was a misunderstanding, but if what she thought happened was how it actually did happen, that would have been an appropriate reaction¡ I don¡¯t even know.¡± Evan said ¡°Wow...that¡¯s...rough. We, uh¡ we came to ask you to not abuse other people¡¯s loyalty. I¡¯ve actually lost a couple of people to that fanatical behavior. We were going to try and threaten you, but¡ honestly... I¡¯m not sure if it¡¯s right. Ah. Right, I¡¯m Jonas. It¡¯s¡ strange to meet you.¡± Jonas saidUnauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. ¡°Well, it¡¯s nice to meet you, Jonas. I¡¯m glad you didn¡¯t hurt anyone when you tried to enter. I¡¯m also quite impressed you got here so easily. If you don¡¯t mind, this might seem odd of me to ask you, but would you help me turn down their religious insanity a bit? Without ruining my public image, if you don''t mind.¡± Evan said ¡°That sounds like a hard thing to accomplish. And why us? And why so randomly?¡± Jonas asked ¡°Well, other than you guys being decently reasonable? You guys aren¡¯t fanatics. Even Livvy here is.¡± Evan said, sighing ¡°Guilty as charged. Though it isn¡¯t because of the religious stuff. We¡¯re just good friends. I¡¯d rather not let any of my friends get hurt.¡± Livvy said ¡°Livvy, you don¡¯t have any friends besides me and Evan.¡± Holly said ¡°Shuddup, I¡¯m trying to look cool. I mean, look at him! He¡¯s hot!¡± Livvy whispered, drooling slightly, with a large smile ¡°Who, jonas?¡± Holly asked ¡°Shh. Yes. He¡¯s exactly my type to watch.¡± Livvy whispered Both Evan and Jonas were staring at her. ¡°Hm. I¡¯m glad to hear I still have at least a little bit of charm left.¡± Jonas said, smiling ¡°See! Wait. You guys heard me. Ah. Thats ¡.. ¡..embarrassing.¡± Livvy said ¡°Well, if we work together you two could get to know each other better.¡± Evan said ¡°Ah. Apologies. I¡¯m into men.¡± Jonas said ¡°I can tell. That¡¯s not why me or Livvy were saying that. Livvy didn¡¯t mean romantically. Well, mostly.¡± Evan said, shifting his eyes to the side ¡°Then¡ what did you mean?¡± Jonas asked, confused ¡°She likes¡ boy on boy¡.. stuff¡¡¡± Evan said ¡°Oh. That makes a lot more sense. But also not. What do I have to do with it?¡± Jonas asked ¡°I¡¯m assuming you aren¡¯t in a relationship, and you¡¯re having trouble, right?¡± Evan asked ¡°Ah. Yes, unfortunately. How did you know?¡± Jonas asked ¡°No ring, normal slouched posture, a bit more messy, yet not sloppy, and the way you carry yourself seems to be trying to attract attention. It would work quite well, if you did this often enough.¡± Evan said ¡°Ring?¡± Jonas asked ¡°Yeah. Wedding rings? You do know what marriage is, right?¡± Evan asked, squinting at jonas ¡°Um. We aren¡¯t able to marry other men, are we?¡± Jonas asked Everyone in the room stared at him, including his teammates ¡°Jonas..... why exactly did you think that? Of course you can mar-ohhh you were raised on the older stories, weren''t you? I can see it in your eyes. That makes sense. No. Jonas, those issues have been done away with for ages. I would know, I personally decreed it after getting annoyed by the bickering. Back then, wars nearly broke out, yes. Nowadays, it¡¯s quite common to find men with preferences like yours, however. It¡¯s one of the times fanatical influence came in handy. Actually, without it, I guess there¡¯s a lot of stuff I can¡¯t change easily.... Hm. I¡¯m not sure about it though, still..... It¡¯s dangerous.¡± Evan said ¡°Well¡.even if it is dangerous, you seem to use it right... I think¡ being able to influence larger amounts of people to solve larger problems probably far outweighs a few people who act kind of stupid.¡± Jonas said ¡°Hey! They may be stupid, but they are following what they believe in. It¡¯s just that they believed in me. Not exactly the best choice. Believe what you want, but don''t force it on others, or mock their beliefs, okay?¡± Evan said ¡°At this point, I think most of us are agreeing that you are probably a pretty damn good choice, at least.¡± One of the people behind Jonas said ¡°I think I¡¯m pretty much the only one here that still has a problem with it. I¡¯d say burning an entire village in your name is a pretty serious problem. Oh, I¡¯m Flag, by the way.¡± Said Flag ¡°Hey, Flag. Do you know anything else about that? If so. Please. Tell me. Don¡¯t miss even a single detail.¡± Evan said, smiling, with the grin of a demon behind an innocent looking face. ¡°Gah! Um. Okay, it was by the bishop in charge of the area surrounding our town, and a nearby city. It¡¯s called Stripped town, it¡¯s near a city called Faar. Apparently the bishop found out we were heretics. Coincidentally, it was after we had just found a gold vein, and made a mine. It wasn¡¯t a coincidence, by the way. That''s all, sir!¡± Flag said, flinching at the murderous aura that now surrounded the room. ¡°So, one. He punished others for heresy. Two, he did it for self gain. Three. He is DEAD.¡± Evan said, teleporting out of the room and to the gate of Faar city Chapter 9: The City Of Faar / Dragon Girl Chapter 9: The City Of Faar / Dragon Girl ¡°Hey, kid, you got any identification? You need it to enter the town¡± A man said ¡°If I teleport in, do I still have to?¡± Evan asked, annoyed ¡°Ha! Sure. Only god can teleport, so who cares." The guard snorted ¡°What a massive fucking coincidence, buddy. I am god.¡± Evan said, teleporting right through the gate and chuckling ¡°Wha-¡° The guard gawked at Evan, baffled ¡°See ya. Thanks, guard dude.¡± Evan said, walking away with his hands in his pockets, whistling a beautiful song as he went along. He began walking around the city ¡°I wonder what¡¯s around here. I have a little bit of time to wander around if this schedule I made is accurate.¡± Evan said ¡°Hey, you. Kid. With the long brown hair. Over here. I got a question for you.¡± A voice said ¡°Huh? Oh. Yo. Whatsup?¡± Evan asked, walking over ¡°Well, someone I know wants to meet you.¡± The girl said Evan thought for a moment ¡°Is it little dragon girl?¡± Evan asked ¡°What? Dragon girl, yes. She¡¯s anything but small, though.¡± The girl said ¡°Um. How old is she?¡± Evan asked ¡°Over 5000 years old. One of the oldest things alive. Other than dimensional overseers, I think.¡± The girl said ¡°She isn¡¯t anywhere close to being in the oldest living things top 1000 for this dimension. So she really isn¡¯t. But 5000, huh? Damn, it¡¯s been a long time.¡± Evan said ¡°It¡¯s here, by the way.¡± The girl said, opening a door for him, and leaving. ¡°Quite a small shop. Fits her well.¡± Evan said ¡°Yellllooww, Evannnn! Is that you? I¡¯m downstairs.¡± A voice called ¡°Hey, little dragon, that is you, right?¡± Evan asked, heading down the stairs ¡°Yup. They really grew out well.¡± The woman said ¡°Your entire body did.¡± Evan said ¡°True. Anyway, this is zel.¡± Dragon girl said, referring to a girl that was standing next to her ¡°What? Eldridge, what did you want from me? Oh, wait. Right, nice to meet you, zel. I¡¯m god.¡± Evan said ¡°You¡¯re who?¡± Zel asked ¡°He¡¯s god.¡± Eldridge said ¡°I see. Of what?¡± Zel asked ¡°Just god. The god. God god. The one everybody worships.¡± Evan said ¡°Oh. That knowledge disturbs me.¡± Zel said calmly ¡°Okayyy, then? I¡¯ll ignore the weird girl. Eldridge, tell me what you needed.¡± Evan said ¡°To help with torturing that bishop. Sounds fun.¡± Eldridge said, grinning ¡°I forgot about that. You¡¯re still into that stuff? Dear me, that¡¯s gotta be rough.¡± Evan said ¡°Hmph. Stop that. You¡¯re going to make Zel misunderstand.¡± Eldridge said ¡°How would I misunderstand my teacher being a massive pervert? It scarred me emotionally.¡± Zel said, smiling ¡°I do not know how to deal with her, Eldridge. Who is Zel?¡± Evan asked, pointing at zel ¡°And now even god is annoyed by me. I¡¯ll hold a coffee cup in this burning room. This is fine. Yes. I¡¯m used to being emotionally driven into the ground horribly.¡± Zel said monotonouslyIf you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. ¡°Um. Evan, just ignore her. She¡¯s¡ a weird one.¡± Eldridge said ¡°No shit. Let¡¯s just go kill that damn bishop already.¡± Evan said ¡°I have a problem to report about that.¡± Zel said, raising her hand ¡°What is it Zel?¡± Eldridge asked ¡°I have already eaten the bishop. What now?¡± Zel asked They stared at her ¡°Seriously? I didn¡¯t expect you to raise a cannibal.¡± Evan said ¡°I was joking. He would taste awful.¡± Zel said, fake gagging ¡°What the hell is wrong with you?¡± Evan asked, inspecting her ¡°I¡¯m insane in the membrane.¡± Zel said, spinning around ¡°But honestly? It¡¯s growing on me. Quite refreshing to be surprised like this.¡± Evan said, laughing a little ¡°Wryyy!¡± Zel yelled, leaning back and doing a wryyy, her art style changing to match the pose. ¡°Why does Zel know that stuff?¡± Evan asked, shocked ¡°You really think whoever I hang out with is normal? She can do weird stuff.¡± Eldridge said, sighing ¡°Before you ask, I can indeed know things. It is odd.¡± Zel said ¡°This¡ this is fragmented knowledge! Eldridge do you have any idea what this means?¡± Evan asked, inspecting zel ¡°No. I¡¯m not that kinda omniscient god. I¡¯m just a water god.¡± Eldridge said ¡°And dragon god.¡± Zel said ¡°Yeah. That.¡± Eldridge said ¡°Well, it explains why she¡¯s insane. Does she ever seizure or spasm?¡± Evan asked ¡°Yes. Is it related to that? I was thinking of asking you, but I wasn¡¯t sure. You¡¯re not the real Evan, after all. Are you even able to do anything about it?¡± Eldridge asked ¡°Well, that makes me feel a lot better about myself. And yes, I can. See¡± Evan said, absorbing something from Zel. ¡°Oh, right. You have an identity crisis. Can¡¯t you fix that?¡± Eldridge asked ¡°I already did. Doesn¡¯t make what you said less rude.¡± Evan said ¡°Was it Holly?¡± Eldridge asked, grinning ¡°Shut up. Let¡¯s go kill the bishop.¡± Evan said ¡°Sounds good to me. We can just leave Zel there, right?¡± Eldridge asked ¡°Wow. Still heartless. And yes.¡± Evan said ¡°I only have a heart for Evan.¡± Eldridge said ¡°I am Evan.¡± Evan said ¡°Sorry, let me reiterate. I only like the real Evan.¡± Eldridge said ¡°What about me, then.¡± Evan said ¡°We were friends before I met the real Evan.... How much do you just choose to not care about?¡± Eldridge asked ¡°Eh.¡± Evan shrugged ¡°That¡¯s¡ disturbing. You¡¯re the overseer of this dimension, you know. The only one who can fix it. Maybe you should start paying more attention to that stuff.¡± Eldridge said ¡°Shut up. Other than what¡¯s absolutely necessary, or what I want to do, I¡¯m just going to stay with Holly.¡± Evan said ¡°See. All you had to do was admit it. Now look. Stuck like glue. It warms my heart. And I don¡¯t even have one. Metaphorically. I have a heart, obviously. But is the bishop considered absolutely necessary? And what about the huge ass wedding¡.that was probably Holly.¡± Eldridge asked ¡°Yeah. Bishop is necessary. He¡¯s using my name to commit atrocities for his own gain. In other words, a bad person.¡± Evan said Eldridge froze ¡°Did you just call him a person? And we''re killing him, according to you?¡± Eldridge asked ¡°I¡¯m not your damned Evan. Jeez. I consider good or bad to be inherent. Kinda. Hard to explain while I¡¯m running across rooftops with you towards a fucking church. A church that worships me, by the way.¡± Evan said ¡°Oh, right. You guys are pretty much the same, though.¡± Eldridge said ¡°Yup. Made that way. Inherent. But I¡¯m different, because I¡¯m technically not him. One of the reasons I have that belief. Basically¡ I¡¯ll kill people if I have to, without much care. Honestly, I¡¯m not kind like your Evan. Maybe it¡¯s because I don¡¯t have what he does. But now? Now I have something that is at the very least equal in Value to me as lime.¡± Evan said ¡°You realized you were different from Evan since he made you, unlike most of the others. You were your own person before he allowed it. That¡¯s why Holly wants you. Loves you. Not my Evan. She knows you as the only real Evan, not Evan Evan. I still see you as a stupid god. Like I always have.¡± Eldridge said ¡°Yeah, but I don¡¯t think I can destroy reality for Holly. I don¡¯t have that power.¡± Evan said ¡°And you¡¯re never going to. You have limits. In some ways it can be considered a better thing. He¡¯s grounded you here, mind, body, and soul. Wait¡ do you hate him?¡± Eldridge asked ¡°Yes. Yes, I do. Evan always hates himself. I am no exception.¡± Evan said ¡°Oh. Well, without him, you wouldn¡¯t exist, and you would never have met Holly.¡± Eldridge said ¡°Yeah. I¡¯m grateful to him. But he¡¯s still a bastard.¡± Evan said, spitting ¡°We¡¯re here.¡± Eldridge said ¡°Finally. I¡¯m itching to kill this dude.¡± Evan said, grinning ¡°You look downright evil, you know that, right?¡± Eldridge said ¡°Yeah, what about the real Evan? He made you wet your pants!¡± Evan laughed ¡°Yes¡ that was¡. an experience¡. let¡¯s never talk about this again.¡± Eldridge said ¡°I¡¯m so going to tell Holly about it.¡± Evan said ¡°Ack! Why?!¡± Eldridge asked, flustered ¡°You haven¡¯t talked to her in quite a while, and it would be funny to reunite with that knowledge in her head. You should check up on your old friends, right? Maybe we should get everyone back together one time. That would be fun.¡± Evan said ¡°It would be. If you''re there. You¡¯re the one who held us together like glue. Without you, we¡¯re not much. I haven¡¯t talked with most of the ones who are still alive in¡. let¡¯s see¡¡ shit. A long time.¡± Eldridge said ¡°Again. Eldridge. Bishop? Are we gonna torture him or not.¡± Evan said, frowning ¡°Oh, right. I need to get some stuff from the basement here afterwards, just by the way. They have some illegal documents that I need.¡± Eldridge said ¡°Whatever.¡± Evan said, jumping down Chapter 10: Torture / The Tree By The Lake Chapter 10: Torture / The Tree By The Lake He landed right in front of the altar, in the same position as he looked in the painting right above him. The church made his voice echo. ¡°You, bishop, are dead. You have violated the sanctity of my religion. Dragged my face through the mud for your own petty gains. We¡¯re going to make sure this excommunication hurts. A lot.¡± Evan said, pointing at him. ¡°Really? Of all things, you choose a Jojo pose for the painting of our literal god? How did I never notice that.¡± Eldridge said, dropping down ¡°It¡¯s art. Hey, wait a minute. How do you know about Jojo.¡± Evan asked ¡°Oh. I have access to the internet.¡± Eldridge said ¡°I¡¯ll ignore that Information for now. Fingers or toes first?¡± Evan asked ¡°Maybe we should drag him down to the basement?¡± Eldridge asked ¡°Is it because of the people? It¡¯s because of the people, isn¡¯t it. Hey. You lot. Leave.¡± Evan said They stared at him in awe ¡°NOW.¡± Evan said They all left quickly ¡°Is this the part where you use a phrase from the show?¡± Eldridge asked ¡°Nah, I ain¡¯t that cringe. I like it, love it even, but posing is all I need.¡± Evan said ¡°But it¡¯s fine, right? Just yell it out.¡± Eldridge said ¡°But I refuse.¡± Evan said, turning towards the bishop ¡°Hey! Not like that! Ugh. Why can¡¯t you be like the other Evan. More childish. Not this¡.monster.¡± Eldridge said, gesturing at Evan ¡°Well, sorry. As we have established quite well, I am NOT Evan. Shit, I broke one of his fingers accidentally. Oh. I was wondering why it was so quiet. When did you gag him?¡± Evan asked ¡°When I got in. You were busy posing, I was doing the work. Like usual.¡± Eldridge sighed ¡°Thanks, I guess. You¡¯re our little miss information extractor, What do you think should be next? We need ¡®information¡¯ from him, right?¡± Evan asked, smiling ¡°Oh, but Evan. He¡¯s gagged, whatever shall we do?¡± Eldridge asked, grinning wickedly ¡°Let¡¯s find out if he can scream through this gag. Maybe we can find out what his answers are if he screams loudly enough.¡± Evan said, a wicked gleam in his eye. He created various torture tools using creation mana. ¡°Have at ''em, Eldridge. Imma go take a walk. Get some food, maybe. This seems like it might take a while.¡± Evan said, yawning ¡°Yeah, yeah. Shoo. I can¡¯t enjoy the fun parts with you here. Your lecturing interrupts the beautiful screaming.¡± Eldridge said Evan left He went to a lake, and looked out at the peaceful water. Bodies of water always seemed to calm him. ¡°I¡¯m guessing she¡¯s going to take at least the rest of today. Maybe even tomorrow. Ah. Shit. People will recognize me, won¡¯t they? Aha! Idea!¡± Evan said He made a paper bag and scissors, cutting two eye holes into it ¡°Why not just make it with the eye holes already cut out?¡± A voice asked ¡°Gah!! Oh. Hi. Well, I didn¡¯t really think of that.¡± Evan said ¡°Why are you able to just make stuff out of thin air?¡± The voice asked ¡°Because I¡¯m using magic.¡± Evan said ¡°Are you able to make food, by any chance?¡± The voice asked ¡°Hm. What¡¯s your name, firstly?¡± Evan asked ¡°Oh. Willow, sir. It¡¯s nice to meet you.¡± Willow said ¡°Indeed. You look thinner than a tree branch, though. Where are you from, kid?¡± Evan asked ¡°The alley.¡± Willow said ¡°Where¡¯s that?¡± Evan asked ¡°Oh. It¡¯s a part of the slums. Just a really really bad part of it.¡± Willow said ¡°You don¡¯t seem to be asking for that food for yourself. What¡¯s the story?¡± Evan asked ¡°Family, sir.¡± Willow said ¡°Hm. Yep, fine. Bring me there. I guess one good deed for the day will be done. Maybe that will balance out my luck.¡± Evan said ¡°You believe in luck? Aren¡¯t you god?¡± Willow asked ¡°Huh? Wait, you knew? Why are you able to speak so calmly with me¡ wait, that does explain why you called me sir, I guess.¡± Evan said ¡°Family is more important than religion to me right now, sir. I apologize for my lack of faith.¡± Willow said ¡°Jeez. This is kinda how I would rather other people think like. Taking me as important, but caring about the people and world around them as well. You don¡¯t need to apologize. You¡¯re basically the perfect image of what I think my believers should act like. Well, what I¡¯ve seen at least. Is it this alley here?¡± Evan asked ¡°Yes, sir. I¡¯ll show you the way. I appreciate your support. How much food will you provide for them?¡± Willow asked ¡°Hm? Oh. I was going to put a temporary food source for you guys. That way you can even share and still be fine. It¡¯s only going to last for 3 months, and provides around one large meal every 3 hours per person. Do some sort of math with that, up to you. I¡¯ll also add stuff to make it so people don¡¯t swarm the place for food. You guys should be fine then. I¡¯m too lazy to think about any other solution.¡± Evan saidIf you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. ¡°We¡¯re here.¡± Willow said The dead end they walked into was full of horribly injured and awfully sick looking children, as well as a couple of adults. ¡°Are you sure these kids aren¡¯t dead?¡± Evan asked ¡°Yes, sir. They are still alive.¡± Willow said ¡°I can¡¯t watch that, ew. I¡¯ll just heal them. Some of that stuff looks pretty nasty. Unlike the original me, I¡¯m actually quite squeamish.¡± Evan said, snapping his fingers Every person in a miles radius was healed ¡°Oops. I set the area of effect a bit too large. Ah, whatever. It worked. Here, this is the stuff I promised to provide.¡± Evan said, yet again snapping his fingers A table and box appeared. The inside of it was odd, and almost indescribable. ¡°Yeah, okay, so. Stick your hand into that, think of a meal, and it will provide you with all of the food. You might have to reach in multiple times if you get something that has another plate. Cornucopias are weird so I opted for this. A normal box. Clever, right?¡± Evan asked ¡°Thank you, sir. I appreciate the help.¡± Willow said ¡°Well, this is what you hoped for, isn¡¯t it? You¡¯re quite shrewd, you know. If you¡¯re fine with it, I would love to hire you. Wait... no way¡ You planned for that, too, didn¡¯t you. If so, that¡¯s even better.¡± Evan said, grinning ¡°Yes, sir, I did indeed approach you with that intention. I¡¯m assuming you don¡¯t mind me asking if you can shelter my family as well, correct?¡± Willow asked, smiling ¡°I¡¯m surprised someone like you wasn¡¯t scouted already. Did nobody understand how clever you are? Odd.¡± Evan said ¡°No. It¡¯s quite simple. Anybody who would be able to give me an opportunity would never come down here. This is the worst part of the slums. I never got a chance, until I met you.¡± Willow said, shaking her head ¡°Mhm. Yeah, that sounds about right. I¡¯m probably the only one who would give you the opportunity. Did you know I would be there?¡± Evan asked ¡°I heard about you appearing in a church around here with a partner. From what I¡¯ve read, I guessed what you would do. Something about an evil church worker, then leaving the partner to do the rest of the work after starting the job. After that, from what I¡¯ve read about your semi whimsical nature, I figured you would head out for a stroll. If so, I used all of the locations you relaxed at in the books as references to figure out where you would probably go. You are usually depicted as someone who likes to relax and watch the sunset over a lake, or something similar. Occasionally the ocean, but there isn¡¯t one close to here. And this is the only lake around. You were the only person there, and it was quite obvious. So I guess you could say that I knew, yes.¡± Willow said ¡°You can put a lot together from a little information. What if I wasn¡¯t there, or even here at all?¡± Evan asked ¡°Well, the person I heard the information from isn¡¯t one who lies often, so their word was solid. You are already up on all of the fliers due to your marriage with the lady Saint. So I knew you actually were out there somewhere. And I figured the only reason you wouldn¡¯t be at the lake was if you didn¡¯t know about it. Assuming you entered the city from the gate, you would have seen or heard about it already. So that wasn¡¯t likely.¡± Willow said ¡°What about me helping you?¡± Evan asked ¡°Do I really need to answer that? I already said that I read the stories about you. Due to the incredible amount of detail included with a lot of them, I concluded that they were probably accurate. You also seemed nice when I first talked to you.¡± Willow said ¡°How about me hiring you, and providing for your family?¡± Evan asked ¡°You and the lady Saint are getting married, correct? I assume that most of, if not all of the people who work for you two would immediately stop and worship you. So somebody who can talk with a clear mind is something you probably needed. I can also help with quite a large variety of jobs. Anything you need me to do, really. I¡¯m not good enough to have hoisted myself and my family out of this hellhole, but I could at least provide for them by learning and doing multiple jobs. I gained quite a few sets of skills from that over my short life.¡± Willow said ¡°And why exactly did you not just abandon them? You could have quite easily survived, no, thrived on your own if you left. Unless you had met me, you wouldn¡¯t even have a few years left to live. Even my healing didn''t fix how skinny you are.¡± Evan said ¡°You¡. are asking why I didn¡¯t abandon them? That¡¯s the easiest answer out of all of them. They¡¯re my family. If anyone thinks for even one second that I would abandon them, even my calm demeanor would probably break. Sir.¡± Willow said, scowling ¡°I never said you would. You''re a logical person, obviously. You should have easily seen what staying here meant. You abandoned logic to care for your family. I¡¯m saying, in other words, I respect that. Rather than curiosity at this point, I think having you for your dedication alone would be a good idea. Even if we took away how clever you are. But you are clever. And kind. Kind enough to be stuck here, clever enough to not be taken advantage of because of it. Willow. You were right. I am indeed looking for someone like you. I would love it if you would join me.¡± Evan said ¡°Yes, sir. Gladly.¡± Willow said, her expression becoming more serene and graceful. A slight smile seemed permanently stuck on her still dirty face. ¡°We have a lot to fix¡ gimme a second.¡± Evan said, fiddling with some stuff ¡°Yes. Do you need me to do anything, sir?¡± Willow asked ¡°Yes, hold onto this, and tell the woman you meet to help prepare for¡.. 1,2,3,6,8.. 8 people who are severely malnourished. Wait, 9. You, too.¡± Evan said, sticking a hat on her head He teleported her to the castle, right next to Holly ¡°Ah. I assume you are the lady Saint? You look just as beautiful as you do in the pictures. No, even more so. It¡¯s nice to meet you, I¡¯m Willow. Your husband has chosen to hire me, and has asked me to inform you of the arrival of approximately 8 malnourished people.¡± Willow said, bowing ¡°OH MY GOOD EVAN! Oh. Oh, dear. Well, hello th-he hired such a young child to do the job? And one that¡¯s barely skin and bones, at that? Um¡..¡± Holly said, startled ¡°Ah. Apologies. My name is willow, and I have chosen to work for you and your husband of my own free will. I believe that Evan will work on the terms of employment when he has time, so for now, all that has been decided is the care that will be provided to my family. To be honest, that, and a stable enough pay, are all I really need. I should be able to live a normal life off of that. Getting back on track, however. I will repeat, your husband has asked me to inform you about the arrival of 8 malnourished people. I believe he would be asking to provide food for them. If you need me for anything else, just ask.¡± Willow said ¡°Ah! Right. Hey, Kail, can you prepare food for them? You can bring it to the dining hall, I¡¯ll try to move them myself. And that¡¯s an order, by the way.¡± Holly said ¡°Yes, ma¡¯am.¡± Kail said, rushing off Slowly, one by one, 8 people appeared. ¡°Hm. Willow, do you mind helping me take them to clean up? You look like you need a good bath, too.¡± Holly said ¡°Yes, ma¡¯am¡± Willow said, helping the others stand up, and following Holly to the bath ¡°This is the bath, Willow. I¡¯ll get Kail to help you with everyone else.¡± Holly said, panting ¡°Ma¡¯am, are you all right?¡± Willow asked ¡°I¡¯ve had¡ quite a bit of exercise, recently. I¡¯m still a little winded.¡± Holly said, looking away, blushing Kail returned a few seconds after ¡°Lady saint, the food is being prepared.¡± Kail said ¡°You¡¯re an incredible knight. Your physical abilities are amazing for someone your age.¡± Willow said, inspecting Kail ¡°Thank you, I train daily so as to be prepared at all times to protect the lady saint.¡± Kail said ¡°What about the times in which you¡¯re training?¡± Willow asked Kail thought for a moment ¡°Apologies, I¡¯m not the smartest. You lost me.¡± Kail said, scratching his head ¡°What a simple person!¡± Willow laughed ¡°Hey! I try my best!¡± Kail said ¡°You don¡¯t need to worry about brain power anymore. I¡¯ll probably be with you as well, from now on. It¡¯s nice to meet you, Kail. I¡¯m Willow.¡± Willow said ¡°Oh, it¡¯s nice to meet you. But if we¡¯re at the bath, shouldn¡¯t you be clean?¡± Kail asked ¡°You¡¯re going to help us drag the others into the bath to help them get acceptably clean, so as not to dirty the table.¡± Willow said ¡°Um¡¡± Kail replied ¡°Sigh. They aren¡¯t clean. The table will get dirty. We are taking them to the bath to fix that. You will be helping me.¡± Willow said ¡°Oh. Then why are we still here?¡± Kail said, rushing off Willow sighed, smiling. "So this is my new life? It''s better than I ever even hoped for." Willow said The rest of the people had been brought over to the bath. They were all properly bathed, and new clothes for each of them were prepared. Just in time for dinner. Chapter 11: Serana, A Story So Cruel / It Shall Go Untold, Horrors Unimaginable Chapter 11: Serana, A Story So Cruel / It Shall Go Untold, Horrors Unimaginable ¡°Just let it end.¡± Serana thought, sinking deeper and deeper. ¡°It hurts.... Why? Just let me go, already. Why do you still want me? Why¡¡± Serana wondered, her consciousness drifting away. She fell asleep in the water, smiling softly, as her eyes finally closed. She woke up. She was on a soft bed, in a warm room. A peaceful ambience filled the entire area. ¡°What? Whe-kack, uolp. Uhblehgh! Keh..ha...ha. Ugh.¡± Serana choked, puking up water. ¡°Oh my god! You¡¯re actually awake! I almost thought that mom was just going crazy when she said you were alive!¡± A young voice exclaimed. ¡°Who..Where?¡± Serana asked, rubbing her eyes. ¡°You don¡¯t remember me? What about him?¡± The voice asked, pointing to an older boy who was sitting next to him. ¡°You¡¯re¡ That one annoying kid, and his brother. Why am I here? Couldn¡¯t you just let me sleep?¡± Serana asked, scowling. ¡°SLEEP?! You were drowning!!!¡± The boy said. ¡°Sorry. Sleep for eternity. That¡¯s what I meant.¡± Serana said, her words laced with poison. ¡°Snap out of it.¡± The older boy said. He slapped Serana, trying to shake her out of it. She spit on him.Unauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. ¡°Leave me alone. I¡¯ll kill you if you try that again. Hand me something sharp, and I promise that I¡¯ll only slice you up.¡± Serana said, growling The boys cowered, shocked by her suddenly overbearing and aggressive attitude. An aura of hatred surrounded her, replacing the usual depressing one, and multiplying in intensity manyfold. ¡°F-fine. We¡¯ll leave you alone. Let¡¯s go. We¡¯ll get in trouble if mom finds out we came here, anyway. We just wanted to check up on you, Serana.¡± The older one said. ¡°I never asked you to. I asked you repeatedly to leave me alone. Now I have to experience the pain of drowning. Again.¡± Serana said, grumbling. She curled into a ball. The aura of hatred slowly disappeared, replaced yet again with a somber and sad feeling in the otherwise peaceful ambience. The two got up to leave, no longer frozen stiff in their seats from an icy fear. ¡°What are you two doing here? I told you specifically not to come here!¡± A woman''s voice asked. ¡°Mom! Uh! We thought we should check up on her.¡± The younger boy said. ¡°Idiots! I¡¯m your mother, I know what I¡¯m talking about, so listen to me next time!..... Leave. At least you two aren¡¯t¡ wait, you aren¡¯t injured? Is she still- No, you''re awake. Hello, Serana.¡± The mother said. ¡°Louise. That¡¯s your name, right? Why did you stick your nose in my business?¡± Serana asked. ¡°Well, it¡¯s pronounced Louise, not Louise.... But that doesn¡¯t really matter, does it. I know you can¡¯t die, but I know your role. You can¡¯t just sit there. You know that too. Some of us want the world to survive, Serana. The world needs you.¡± Louise said, frowning. ¡°I want the world to end.¡± Serana said spitefully. ¡°Why haven¡¯t you two left, yet? Go!¡± Louise said to her children. The two boys left the room, leaving their mother and Serana alone. ¡°Serana, the world can¡¯t end. I won¡¯t let it.¡± Louise said. ¡°You can¡¯t make me do anything.¡± Serana said. ¡°I¡¯m not going to. You¡¯re destined to save us. There isn¡¯t a way to change that. Whether it¡¯s because you change, realizing something about the world that¡¯s good, or even if it¡¯s unintentional, it will happen.¡± Louise said. ¡°Then why did you even bother to get me out of the water?¡± Serana asked. ¡°We all have our roles. Some of them affect other people. I did what I was supposed to. That¡¯s all.¡± Louise said. ¡°So¡.if you didn¡¯t have that role, you would have left me?¡± Serana asked, pausing for a second. ¡°Frankly, I don¡¯t blame you whatsoever. I would have chosen the same if I were you. And that¡¯s only from the few parts of your past that I know of. Knowing it alone sickens me. In fact, I wish from the bottom of my heart that I could help you pass peacefully, to finally end your suffering¡ But that isn¡¯t my part in this play.¡± Louise replied, shaking her head.
