《The Realm》 Chapter 0 - Birth of a Realm In the early years of the universe, there was...nothing. Well not exactly nothing, you see somewhere in that deep all-encompassing darkness was a spark. A small flame that brought light and warmth to its surroundings...but it was but a spark, it didn''t have the strength to push back the darkness. And so for years it just rested there, providing heat and warmth, lighting up it''s surroundings, providing a oasis in the darkness. But as time went by it slowly grew, from a spark of red to a flame of gold. With each passing year it grew, and each passing year the darkness retreated in fear of the flame. But still it had no chance of ridding the world of the darkness so it kept to itself, only providing warmth and light to it''s immediate surroundings. As the darkness schemed of ways to purge the stain in it''s masterpiece the flame schemed too. But not against the darkness, no, it was so lonely all by itself it wanted a companion. For the first time in it''s life it reached out the the darkness...but instead of making friends it was lashed at, forcing it to return to it''s little flame and be alone.Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere. On and on the darkness schemed to rid of the flame and more and more the flame sank into sadness, no longer wanting to be alone...it shut itself off from the world and fell asleep. Taking it''s chance the darkness swarmed into the territory of the flame, purging the light and warmth but as it reach close to the flame it stopped. For some reason it didn''t want to get rid of it now, so it returned to it''s darkness and left the flame a small little area. ? ? ? ¡±Why must I spend my life alone?¡± As if accusing it''s self the flame questioned itself in it''s sleep. ¡±Why does the darkness hate me?¡± With each question the flames dimmed, and with each passing year the warmth it released cooled. ¡±I¡¯ll...just, sleep...goodbye darkness!¡± And finally the bright golden flames sputtered out leaving behind a cold and empty core. The darkness sensing the disappearance of the flame felt something, an emotion it never felt before. Instead of feeling joy for the disappearance of the stain in it''s masterpiece. It felt alone... Chapter 1 "Sir, it happened again." A skinny man with glasses looked up at a guy with black hair and tan skin, his eyes were hidden behind the black shades he always wear. "How long did it take this time?" "Well actually sir this run was our longest run yet!" The skinny man was on the brink of bursting with excitement. "That''s good to hear, now at least I know your actually worth your pay." With a few more words said both men went on their ways to do their jobs. "Dr. Green, should we terminate this run and start over with the data we got from it?" Another man in a white lab coat was asking the skinny man a question. "...No, put it to the side and keep it in the background." ? ? ? ? ? Why did it feel lonely, it should he happy about the death of the flame...right? It focused its attention of the spot where the flame had been. Where the once golden flames of the flame burned now floated its core. The core sparkled with a golden color and inside a golden flame twist and turned. This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author''s work. As the darkness watched the core of the golden flame crumbled, floating in the darkness forming a pile of ash. And as the ash slowly drifted the last spark of the golden flame rested inside the pile of ash. There was nothing it could do, so it just returned to its darkness and tried to forget, to be happy that it was gone. While it went on its way the wish of the golden flame entered the pile of ash. ? ? ? ? ? Year after year the pile of ash floated in the darkness. The spark of the golden flame had long since burned out and now the pile of ash with the wisp of the golden flame was all that was left of the once great flame. It could no longer burn with the color of gold. As time went by the ash slowly started to take shape, transforming into the shade of a man. Along his skin was burn marks that would glow a subtle red here and there. It had no features really just the general shape of a man. More and more time went on, the darkness slept to pass time while the ash slowly built its body. When it finished its body has the color of ash but some line going along his skin that would glow a dark red now and then. His eyes were just eye sockets and his hair was just thin strands of ash. When his body was finished to took its first step. With each step it took ash would be left behind before rejoining his body. His shape was barely kept together but has he continued to wander he started to gain greater control. Unitl finally his body kept to its shape. With joy the lines along his skin glowed in bright red light that ate away at the darkness. As the darkness was absorbed by the man and slowly turned it into ash. All around him a world of ash slowly formed, figures like him but less defined, less detailed...weak, slowly formed around him. With each passing moment he grew in strength, he felt a connection to each of his creations that fed him strength. With the subtle glow of the burn lines along the skin of each ash walker an army was born. As the King of Ash stared at his army he grinned a vicious grin. Chapter 2 As the King of Ash wandered so too did the ash walkers. Everywhere they went a world of ash formed, and within this world ash walkers slowly formed. There size slowly grew to much for only him to command, so he created generals. Each general would command ten commanders, and each commander would command ten ash walkers. His army was no longer just formless ash walkers, his generals formed armor and weapons that suited their taste. Same for the commanders but his army as a whole was becoming more defined. This helped to separate the newborn from the old ones. Each day their world grew, and each day more ash walkers were born spearing their world of ash. His system of ranking changed as well with the growing army. His generals controlled more commanders, and there commanders controlled more ash walkers. They would fight against each other to train, there was no holding back as well. This provided him with a strong army. When his army numbered into the ten thousands a new creature formed from the ash. It had the form of a jellyfish with its multitude of tentacles form from ash, but it wasn''t like the ash walkers. It''s burn lines where more defined, greater in quantity. They glowed with a brighter red compared to his ash walkers and seemed to have intelligence on the same level as the King of Ash.The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. But with the birth of this Cindari the darkness was bound to sense them, and it did. Angered at the fact that while it was asleep the army of ash walkers were eating away at its masterpiece. It swarmed the army with a darkness that swallowed everything, any ash walkers on the edge of the army that were touched by this darkness were swallowed. But the darkness couldn''t swallow them all, the King of Ash released a blinding light from his burn lines that forced the darkness back slightly. This was his domain and he planed to keep it that way. Testing out the strength of the cindari he had it give it it all against the darkness in his domain. With a wave of its body it floated towards the edge of the King of Ash¡¯s domain. The burn lines along his skin growing in brightness till it blinded even the Ash King himself. When the light faded the cindari was left pretty tired so it floated close to the ground, but the darkness that threaten to swallow them whole was gone. And with it the darkness, they had solidified their world. ? ? ? ? ? "Dr. Green, big news!" A man in a white lab coat was telling Dr. Green the events of what just happened. By the end of it the man was bouncing with joy. "This is good news, but still keep it in the background, this wasn''t what we want but it may give us valuable data..." A screen was showing the events of the small skirmish, off too the side was a smaller screen. The screen showed a black screen with a small flame in the center. Chapter 3 Repeatedly the King of Ash¡¯s army and the darkness faught, and each battle would end in a draw. The King of Ash wandered with his army and the darkness observered, waiting to attack. The cindari help with keeping the darkness at bay, and every couple days there was a chance of another cindari forming. The darkness was truly angered by the King of Ash and his men, no matter what he tried it ended in a draw. Off in its darkness a creature slowly grew in its depths. A figure of pure shadow, its long legs allowed it to have speed like no other. It''s long arms and claws allowed it to reach out for its prey from the darkness and kill. Sharp horns grew on the side of its head almost forming a circle. Black eyes that let it see in the dark as well as see in an almost 360 vision. It had only made one of this creature, this horror. With each successful kill it would use the body of its prey to create more of its kind. It could also use shadows as weapons, and in a short amount of time the xyinlooked around with intelligent eyes. "Go, hunt your prey and make more of your kind!" Following the orders of the darkness she sunk into the darkness around her and moved through the shadow realm till she reached the army. She waited patiently until she found her chances The darkness attacked once more causing the cindari to move to the edges of the King of Ash¡¯s domain. An ash walker wasn''t paying attention thinking that the cindari would handle the swallowing darkness. So when the xyinreached out and pulled the ash walker into the shadow realm no one noticed, how could they, they weren''t paying attention to their own shadows. This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. After being pulled into the shadow realm the ash walker did its best to fight back. Following its instinct it deflected most attacks from the xyin, and when given the chance to counter it did. The xyinon the other hand was a newborn, this was her first time fighting so she pulled it out long enough to learn a few things. Afterplaying with her food she appeared behind the ash walker and sliced its neck. The ash walker quickly reformed and turned around the strike at the xyinbut it gravely underestimate her. After realizing that she didn''t kill it she distanced herself and looked for its weak point. In the center of its chest was a weak dark red flame, it was the core that kept the ash walker together. At a speed the ash walker couldn''t keep up with the flame inside its chest was now in the hands of the horror. As the ash walker crumbled and then turned into a pile of ash the xyinlooked at the flame. She used the shadows around her to surround the flame. Slowlythe shadows currupted the flame, turning from dark red to a pitch black, almost like smoke. Following her instincts she place the flame in the pile of ash that once was the ash walker. Quickly the shadows around her swarmed towards the flame, a black shadow quickly formed around the flame. Slowly the shadow took the shape of a xyin, this one had short horns that only curved slightly. After the second xyinformed they both went back to hunting their prey, waiting for a chance to make more of their kind. And it wasn''t a long wait, the cindari still struggled with pushing back the swallowing darkness so they were able to each pull another ash walker into the shadow realm. The second xyinused the shadow around him to turn one of his hands into a sythe. At an alarming speed the sythe horror cut the ash walker in front of it in half while the first moved in and grabbed the flame. It didn''t take long for the second ash walker to turn into a pile of ash. The female xyin(the first) took both flames and currupted them, then place them in separate piles of ash. When the xyinformed both of them were short horned(male). Looking around her kin a thought entered her mind. "I...Queen!" The other three cotjinknelt on one knee towards her, successfully establishing her rule as the Queen of Xyin. Chapter 4 "Fascinating, who would have though a failed experiment would turn out to be our best success!" Dr. Green was staring at a screen showing the female xyinproclaiming herself queen. On another screen showed the King of Ash fighting one of his generals. With quick movements the King of Ash sliced his commander in two, grabbing his flame and absorbing it into his own. The general thought to take his position as king so as the consequence of failure him and his men were absorbed, becoming fuel for the King of Ash''s flame. If you looked closely at his flame a wisp of gold could be seen in the center of his dark red flame. The wisp of gold slowly purified the dark red flame around it slowly turning it into a brighter red. "Does this mean he evolved?" With the King of Ash''s flame turning a shade of red his strength grew. Still no match for the darkness one on one but if he could turn his flame gold maybe he could. No one noticed the missing ash walkers as they were quickly replaced by newborns. "Peter, I want you to run a test, add a piece of land close to the army of ash walkers..." Relatively close to the King of Ash''s army a piece of land formed in the depths of the darkness. It was a pretty small piece of land but it was still big enough to hold most of the King of Ash''s army.Support the author by searching for the original publication of this novel. ? ? ? ? ? It didn''t take very long for the army of ash walkers to find the piece of land, reporting it back to their king. The land was barren if you were being modest. The land was a piece of stone with a small layer of dirt on top. Nothing was really able to grow in the dirt because of the lack of nutrients. ¡±We shall stop here, generals, find out if this us a good spot to make camp!¡± It the world of darkness it was hard to tell which direction you head it. The only thing that would know up from down would be the darkness itself. It didn''t take long for a camp to spring up from the ground. Piles of ash formed here and there as resting places for ash walkers. Generals and the king had their own piles but they could do more with it. Making actual tents to their liking, the king just settled on making a throne before a small fire. After sitting down in his chair a energy pulsed out from him until stopping at the edge of the piece of land. Without knowing it when he took the piece of land for his camp he ended up binding the piece of land to his domain. He himself could no longer leave the boundaries of his domain without consequences. The small fire he formed burst into bright red flames. Every ash walker felt their connection changing a bit, instead of directly being connected to the King of Ashthey were now connected to the camp fire. And as the King of Ashcontrolled the flame he in turn controlled all of them. The flame was actually very helpful to them, if they stayed and trained long enough in the vicinity of the flame their flames would grow. Giving them a chance at evolving into something greater then a ash walker. The King of Ash was the first to experience this evolution. His flame had already reached the brink of evolution, so when he bound the land to him he broke through the wall. The burn lines on his skin spread and their color took on a slight hint of gold. A crown of ash appeared on his head along with a clock of ash surrounding his body. His empty eye sockets formed eyes out of flames, after his transformation he gave off a noble aura that caused the other ash walkers to bend their knees. Chapter 5 ¡±Hahaha, this is great!¡± Dr. Green was observing the King of Ash, went he saw him binding the piece of land to himself it was he who made it so it became to home to any and all ¡±Ahi¡± a name given to their race by one of his subordinatewho named most things. It was partly because of him that the King of Ash evolved from a normal ash walker into an ember, once again named by his subordinate. As far as we know only the King of Ash had this route for evolution because of the wisp of the golden flame resting in his flame. ¡±What are we gonna do with you, already the King of Ash and the Queen of Xyin havechanged...¡± In the shadow realm where the xyinreside a small temple floated floated in the shadow realm. It had the shape of a crescent and in the center of what would have been a complete circle was a well of condensed shadow. Like the camp fire for the Ahithe well of shadows had the same function, allowing horrors to grow in strength just by being around it long enough. Wisps of shadow continually entered the well becoming purified shadows. Their Queen hadn''t evolved yet but she was halfway, her height was slowly growing and her shadows slowly condensed. It was hard to tell what would happen when all of her shadows condense but it would be spectacular! ¡±Sir...I have an idea on how to fix the darkness...¡± ? ? ? ? ?Support the creativity of authors by visiting the original site for this novel and more. It was in danger, it could feel it. The darkness look at the King of Ash and saw how he had evolved. Then he look at his creation and how she was slowly becoming independent. It had to grow stronger. Evolve! But it couldn''t do so in the state it was in, it had to do something first. Within it''s depths the darkness started to condense into a solid shape. It didn''t stop until the shape resembled that of an egg. It was taking a risk by doing this but if it didn''t it had no chance of fighting back. Slowly it pulled its conscience into the egg while keeping its hold on the darkness. When it finished the egg started to crack, a dark light radiating from the inside of the egg. From one of the bigger cracks an eye could be seen, a color of pitch black with a verticle slit for a pupil. ? ? ? The King of Ash tested his new power, he could control his flame slightly to allow him to summon a dark red flame as a form of attack. He tested with it until he was able to get it so it would surround his sword in a dark red flame. It wasn''t only him who could now wield their flames slightly. Even though they couldn''t control it like the King of Ashhis generals could summon some flames. One could use it to enhance her eyes to allow her a better grasp of the battle field. Another could use his flames to guide the cindari like the King of Ash, but they wouldn''t do something against their will. Lastly a few cindari could use their flames by coating some of their tentacles in bright red flame. The smaller, younger cindari couldn''t control their flames yet even slightly. But it wasn''t only the Ahithat got magic. The xyinwho were already born being able to shape shadows now had a better grasp with shadows because of their connection to the well of shadows. Them being connected to the well of shadows didn''t construct their freedom like the Ahibut it did make it so their Queen couldn''t leave for long like the King of Ash. The first xyinborn by their Queen got the ability to use shadows to create copies of himself for a short period of time. He used it to pull in multiple ash walkers for the other xyinin the shadow realm to kill. Chapter 6 Surrounded in darkness the egg floated about unhindered. All over the shell small cracks form, an eye peering out into the darkness from the biggest crack. ? ? ? Observing the ash walkers in their camp the Queen of Xyin kept on eying a certain cindari. Already her kind has reached into the hundreads, guided by her she kept their kind strong. But what she planned to do would not only alert their kind to the Ahi and the King of Ash but also cause some casualties. But it would be worth it if they got what she wanted. "We strike during the next wave from our lord!" The xyin around her did a form of salute, beating the long arms into their chests, the noise they made like the beating of war drums. ? ? ? The ash covered lands truly became the perfect camp for the ahi. With the roaring flames from the camp fire the ahi soared against each other. Whenever an ash walker killed it''s opponent their flame would be absorbed into theirs, this allowed for rapid growth within his army. The cindari was the pride of their ahi, it''s beauty hard to understand to the weaker of the ahi. But that didn''t stop the stronger of their kind from noticing. How the burn lines along their skin shinned with ruby red light, their tentacles keeping them floating through the air. The cindari mostly kept to themselves, roaming in packs around the ash covered land. The young cindari were the opposite, choosing to play with the ash walkers in games tag with or without them.Support the creativity of authors by visiting the original site for this novel and more. The adult cindari moved the the edge of the ash lands sensing an attack leaving the young cindari to play. As the King of Ashobserved the young cindari a figure rose from the ash. It''s height doubled even his and it''s long arms reaching its knees, at the top of its head long horns curved almost forming a complete circle. All around it more figures like the first appeared but with shorter arms and a verity of weapons. The herd of young cindari speared out in fear, trying to run away from the creatures that looked nothing like the ahi. Theash walkers quickly ran towards them to kill them, but those things weren''t as weak as theythough. With speed none believe possible they slaughtered many ash walkers, their flames drifting in the direction of the camp fire. The flames that were close to their queen turned black before sinking into the ground. She captured a young cindari before sinking into the ground with it. The others followed suit but during the process a couple died at the hands of thegenerals, their bodies releasing a black wispy smoke. As theycontinued watching the flames those from the ash walkers merged with the camp fire causing the flame to grow. Those from the creatures also entered the flame but didn''t merge instead turned into small little orange flames that continued to float around the place. Cinders, a new type of ahi was born into the world from the black wispy smoke of the xyin. Their kind spreading the power of the fire throughout all of the ash lands. ? ? ? The black wispy smoke(souls) of the xyin floated around the Xyin Temple before flying into the well of shadows. As their souls bathed in the purified shadows of the shadow well their souls changed, became more than just smoke. They stayed within the shadow well bathing in the shadows. Their queen was currently busy with the young cindari. After coming here it tried desperately to flee from the hands of the xyin, almost did too. But in the end it was restrained by chains formed by her general. Its body was still too big for it to fit in the well of shadows so they chained it just above the well of shadows. From time to time wisps of shadows would rise out from the well and into the body of the young cindari. It''s screeches could be heard now and then echoing through the shadow realm. Chapter 7 ¡±Wonder what you¡¯ll turn into...¡± Dr. Green was starting at a screen showing the cindari chained above the well of shadows. On another screen showed the cinders, they floated all around the ash lands acting like mini campfires. ¡±I think it''s time to add in a new feature...give the cinders something specials would you!¡± On the screen the cinders retreated into the campfire to rest. The next day they would surprise the ahi with a new ability. ? ? ? As the cinders awoke the next day their flames did more then just spread the effects of the campfire. As they roamed the ash lands small little sparks fell, leaving a trail of fire sparks. Where the sparks landed trees made of ash grew, their bark giving the surrounding area more light and warmth. Not only did the sparks form trees, grass, flowers, all sorts of plants made of ash. The baren ash lands slowly became a beautiful scenery made of ash. But the real surprise was what happened on the edge of the ash lands, as life grew the land of ash grew along with it. The small piece of land transformed into a beautiful landscape of ash. The small piece of land now became a safe haven for all ahi in this world of darkness. The ash walkers explored their new home with joy, a cool little thing about the cinders we''re that the more ahi we''re in one area the more they¡¯d expand the land.A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. What went unnoticed to most was the fact that their flames changed, not just the ahi but the xyin as well. Their cores wheather flame or smoke change slightly, became more defined, more like a soul. ? ? ? The egg floating through the darkness was almost completely hatched. The cracks running along the shell big enough to see more of the beast that resides inside. Sharp claws that shone with a cold light, pitch black scales that covered the beast, eyes like a black hole swallowing all with a glance. The pieces of shell that broke off from the egg transformed within the darkness, becoming shadowing figures similar to the beast inside the egg but not at the same time. When formed they observed the ash lands, keeping the darkness in check with all the events. The xyin were currently shaping the darkness around them, adding on to the temple that housed the well of shadows. Inspired by the lands the ahi reside in they shaped their world into a world of tall leaf less trees. Formed shadow creatures to bring life to their lifeless world using the shadows from the eel of shadows. Their queen looked over their budding world in excitement, they may have been made by their lord the darkness but that didn''t mean they were his slaves. Looking over to the cindari it''s screams had long sence stopped. Its burn lines took on a black color, wisps of shadow drifting off from the burn lines. The chains already returned to shadows, it just floated their like a statue, helfin place by the shadows of the well of shadows. A cacoon of shadow slowly formed around the cindari before completely encasing it, soon a new type of their race would be born. Chapter 8 "Dr. Green, the boss wants to see the world." Dr. Green was staring at his screen, his hands moving at a speed hard to watch as code sprung to life on the screen. "Tell him to wait a bit, everything should be done soon..." A line of text at the top caused his eyes to sparkle; The Rebirth ? ? ? Both the Ash Lands and the Shadow realm was bursting with life, creatures of ash roamed their world of ash. Shadowy figures of all shapes and sizes created nest for their kin, long legged spiders roamed the world laying eggs every so often to spread their kind. In both worlds their creations worshiped them like gods, treating them as sacred beings not to be disturbed. Some even had the desire to join their ranks, to become equals with their creators. In the world of ash things went a bit different, the creatures of ash had no need to spread their kin for as lon as one was born more would follow from the spirals of ash that acted as nests for their kind. Their goal was to grow, to evolve, in the vicinity of each nest only one type of ash creature roamed, skirmishes on the edge between to nest often resulted in a third player coming in for the kill. This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it A thing about these nest, they required ash and flames to spawn more of their kind, so almost everyday skirmish''s happened to bring ash and flame back to their nests. This also gave the ahi a good source of flame and experience to grow their flames. Without having to slaughter their own they slowly grew in strength and in number. Both worlds were slowly becoming complete, if not already their then soon. The total opposite could be said for the darkness, a land full of nothing. Nothing roamed the darkness besides the creatures observing the ash lands. ? ? ? The cacoon around the cindari slowly cracked apart, braking into shadows that returned to the well of shadows. What once was the cindari was now something different, still resembling the cindari but completely different. Skin made of pitch black shadows, burn lines now pitch black bones that resulted into sharp tip tentacles. Shadows enveloped the being, worshiped it for what it represented, a being made of shadows. With a flap of its tentacles its flew out of the temple and into the wild, reaping lives as it flew growing its wispy smoke. The more it killed the more it grew until it burst to life with a black flame, treathening to absorb all light around the thing. It was a being of pure darkness and shadow, a shadow demon. As it returned to the temple it rested before the Queen of Xyin. Qs it floated their a tentacle reached out to though her head. As it thouchdd her forehead a line of shadow left it''s body and entered hers, as it settled on her core it burst into black flames, she had reached the point of evolving. Wisps of shadows surrounded her until she rested in a cacoon of dark shadows, slowly she floated to rest above the well of shadows. As the other xyin went to go check on her the demon spoke. ¡±Leave mother alone, she needs to change, evolve if she wants to survive what has been shown to me!¡± Chapter 9 The egg floating around in the darkness slowly came to a stop, the cracks along it''s shell spreading until not one area was crack free. With a last push the beast inside broke free from it''s shell. Pitch black scales covering it''s body like armor, wings with sharp tiped bones acting like a weapon. Four limbs resulting in sharp claws that radiated cold, it''s eyes swallowing any and all things, like miniature black holes. It had succeeded, it had evolved, became a being of pure destruction...it was now a she. As she contemplated now having a gender the pieces of shell that broke off from her egg formed smaller forms of herself, they flew around her excited that their mother was now free to bring destruction to all. This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it ? ? ? Within the shadow world the cacoon around the Queen of Xyin was cracking braking into shadows that returned to the well of shadows. Her form had changed, she still kept the shape of a xyin but her size was more then double other xyin. Her horns now glowed with dark flames, her eyes burned with a black light, her claws now sharp to the point that she could slice their world in two if she wanted. Her influence no longer only reached the xyin but all of the shadow world, she was now the Queenof Shadows. ? ? ? A war was on it''s way, all threecould feel that this war would be the deciding factor, this war would judge who was on top and who was destined to wash in the sands of time forgotten. ? ? ? ¡±Haha...hahaha, it''s done, finally my masterpiece is complete, all I need now is to wait.¡± The program he coded was finished, soon it would be run and when it happened the world would change. Chapter 10 As she staredat both worlds she felt an emotion surge within her. When the golden flame had intruded on her domain it was shy, and kept to itself, but these two worlds have spread, and would keep spreading if she didn''t step in. The shadowy dragons roaming around her were yawning in boredom, after she hatched they were excited to fight but were let down when she had decided to wait. Her body was small, if you put her beside the ahi or xyin she would look fine, but to her she was tiny. She wrapped the darkness around her to hide her presence to all, she may have created the xyin but in her eyes they became independent, distant to her cause, and she didn''t want that. But she had to wait, with each passing moment she grew in size, with each inhail and exhale of unneeded ''air'' her scales sparkled with power. Soon she would be ready to show herself to the world, to cause those who dare speak her name shutter in fear. She would be Yalin, embodiment of darkness and destruction. ? ? ? Slowly the ahi changed, no longer needing to slaughtereach other for just a bit of strength, their numbers grew, and along with it their old reached levels of power hard to describe in mortal ways. Their camp now resembled a sprawling city, a great place of ash rested in the center on the city. Within sat the King of Ash on his throne of golden flame, he had gained complete control over his flame, and along with it the wisp of the golden flame, their creator. This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it. Outside his palace gates burned a great golden flame in the center of a bustlingmarket, their ways have slowly changed. From a militaristic society to one that was full of different professions. Blacksmith forged weapons made out of the flames from the creatures of the ash wilds. Ash molders worked loose ash into the buildings that sprawled before his very eyes. Trainers to teach the young how to harness their flames. Deep within his flame thrummed with power, he felt something from the wisp of golden flame within him. He had no clue what it meant but on some level he felt, he felt that the truths it held within could completely change their world...forever. ? ? ? The Queen of Shadows felt troubled, scared even. Not to long ago she felt her connection to her lord sever, she had no clue what it meant but that didn''t stop her from imagining what it could mean. Some where along the road she took a wrong turn, she angered her creatorand now she has given up on her and her race. She couldn''t possibly tell the others, if they knew their creatorgave up on them they would feel resentment, they have given their all to rid the ahi from her plane but she went and left them. No there was one she could confide in, the first of her shadow demons, Kain. He treated her like his mother, and she treated him like herchild, she treated all her race like her children. Each day he grew in size by growing his flame with fuel from the beings of the shadow world. The shadows themselves bendedto his will quite like her, but to him it was natural. If she could create more shadow demons she would be able to secure her race in the coming war, but that required planing. After the changes to the ash lands the ahi kept their cindari behind their wall, after our last face to face encounter they realized they couldn''t let more cindari join our ranks. If I wanted to survive this madness I would need more, theirs no way i''m going down without a fight. Maybe, just maybe by doing this I can regain the approval of her creator. Chapter 11 Ever since the changed occurred to the wisp of the golden flame he had spent all his time trying to understand to knowledge it held. All he could grasp was snippets of what truly lied within, power that could burn all too ash, a golden flame that burned with majesty in its long life. And in the end tired of being alone it gave up, choose to sleep instead of spend every living day alone knowing that something was out their but it chose to ignore it. "If only you waited a couple more years, you could have had us..." He knew it was false, they wouldn''t be here if it wasn''t for the ash left behind by the golden flame. If it never choose to sleep their race and probly even the xyin would not exist, it would have been destined to live a life alone. As he reached into his flame he once again felt the thrum of power from the golden wisp, slowly he separated his flame from the wisp, a sort of training. At first the wisp almost vanished but as he kept on training now it could hold on for at best an hour. He could even take it out of his body but only for a couple seconds or it would dissipate. By doing this the wisps of flame let off from the golden wisp purges his body of impurities, strengthens his ash, and even purified his own flames. He knew the wisp would leave him, burn once again with a heat he could never withstand. But doing it this way he saw his own flame change, wisps of golden flame burned within his own, and after each training the amount grew. It came to the point that no other ahi could stand close to him and walk away unharmed, his body radiated a heat that was threatening to others, his burn lines slowly took on a golden hue. Now the palace became his safe place, keeping his powers behind the walls while keeping the ahi safe. Half way during his training commotion from outside his palace caught his attention. Shadows were rising out from the ground and along with it the xyin. Guiding the shadow they destroyed a section of the other wall and started fighting with my spillers. The author''s content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. Even if our society change, more then half our population was in my army. As the battle raged on I felt no need to really step in, I could tell that the xyin needed our flames to birth more of their kind, but it didn''t matter. Every day ahi formed out in the wild, the golden campfire acting as a beacon guiding them to our gates. No, I had no thoughts of interfearing with the little skirmish, it was another commotion that drew my attention. Their queen was currently capturing cindari and bringing them to her realm, what I can only assume was the first cindari she capture floated in their flock keeping them from fleeing. Older cindari grouped together to keep it at bay but it was still a struggle to keep it at bay. Appearing before their queen I couldn''t help but feel anger rise within, golden flame bursting into life along the burn lines of my body. "What do you think your doing!" "What I have to, you know as much as me that my creator has awoken!" There was more to that then what she let on, an emotion clawing at her sanity, she was afraid. "You''d really think I''ll just let you waltz in here and take the pride of us ahi!" The flames around me converged before crashing into her body, sending her flying a couple feet before she used shadows to stop her flight. "You think I care, your precious pride means nothing to me!" Her generals tried to surround me but mine appeared from behind keeping them busy. She conjured blades of shadows that glinted in the light let off from our flames rocketing towards me. If I didn''t dodge I knew I would be in a world of pain, quickly moving through the ash leaving trails of golden flame I closed the distance between us. Her claws against my flame. With my flames covering my body her claws found a hard time reaching my skin. But my flames couldn''t reach her either, swallowed by shadows covering her. We were matched in strength, neither on of us could gain the hoped hand and while my men slaughtered her kind, the pride of all ahi were thrown into the shadow realm. When it our battle ended barley any cindari was left in their lands, their old lying all over the ground, their burn lines slowly fading away, their ash drifting along with the cold wind that came from no where. Only one elder cindari remained, the rest just children, but she was crippled, her tentacles torn, no longer able to float along with the rest of them. But she too was weak, her flame had a hard time just keeping itself burning. "You will regret this!" With anger clouding his judgement he took it upon himself to first heal the elder cindari before waging war. The wisp of the golden flame quickly leaving his flame to enter the elder cindari''s flame. It couldn''t do much but it helped stabilize her flame and allow her to hover gently above the ground, to allow her to fell even the slightest bit of wind beneath her tentacles. Chapter 12 All around her cindari were held in place by chains of shadows, their number to great to count. All this was possible because of Kain, without him she would never be able to capture so many cindari. Their transformations wouldn''t be as long as it took kain, but just to be sure I had xyin capable if guiding shadows into the cindari. This was are routine, every day was guiding the shadows into the cindari, if we didn''t finish in time there was no guaranty that we would survive this war. ? ? ? As the cindari slowly turned a couple of them ended up dying, they were to young to withstand the shadows. Other did ended up quickly turning into shadow demons, some turned into centipede shaped demons, others spiders. While cindari turned into shadow demons all around the group of elder cindari that was captured they took that chance to escape. Braking free from their chains they quickly escaped off in the distance. The Queen of Shadows saw no need to give chase, she already got more then enough, all she needed now was to allow them to grow. This novel''s true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there. Those that escaped were already at the half way point, one wrong step and they could end up turning into a shadow demon any ways. What she didn''t expect was her releasing them would come to bite her in the but. ? ? ? Dr. Green was glued to his screen, the eder cindari that escaped ended up did turning but into something else. They kept their shape, but instead of turning into a being of shadow or staying made out of ash they changed into something else. Their soul fires took on a change, with an equal level of two types of flames it took on a white color. Their skin actually started to turn into normal skin, or at least looked like it, and they ended up turning into normal looking jellyfish. They glowed with a white light that pushed away the shadows of the shadow realm. "Fascinating, maybe, just maybe a new element has been introduced..." For reasons unknown their soul fire change, neither fire or shadow, now their white flames represented a new element, light! "But how could fire and shadow form light?" When both elements were on equal level they wiped each other out, leaving space for a new element to enter, light, it was always their because of the fire, so it was able to take over when both elements destroyed each other. On the screen the cindari? They''ll need a new name now, kept on pushing away at the shadows until a portal opened up. On the other side was a world of light, it was small most likely because only a few elder cindari changed, but it was enough to shelter this new race. Chapter 13 They''ve changed, and they knew it, they have become something different, neither Hjin or Ahi, a new race. Not only have they changed but so too have their soul fires, now they burned with a blinding white light, but it didn''t burn like the red flames did, no, it had a gentle thouch. It left them feeling better then before, and now they''ve even found a place where they can live freely. They still resembled their past selves as cindari but now they looked almost transparent if it wasn''t for their white glow all along their skin. "...do you think we can return to the ahi?" "It''s not a matter of if we can, it''s a matter of if they''ll except us back..." All of them seemed to feel saddened by this piece of news, their glow dimming until you could just barely make out their soul flames. "How about...we make a home here, were no longer Ahi but that doesn''t mean we need to cut off contact with our...cousins?" After a round of agreement everyone went back to roaming their new home. It was almost like the darkness but just white, they themselves would have gotten lost if it wasn''t from them sticking together.Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. "Our first step in making a new home would be to actually make land for us..." "Any ideas on what to make?" "I believe I do..." So far only the youngest of the elders have been talking, the one who spoke now was the second cindari that was born after the first. They all quickly calmed down to listen to his words. "Our kind has always took to the sky''s, since our very first second born into this world we''ve been in the sky... So it would be best to base it off that, a world where we can freely roam the sky''s, but that doesn''t mean we can forget about land." With a deep breath he sent his thoughts directly into their minds, a trick only the eldest three cindari were able to use. In their minds were lands floating in the sky, islands as big as the ash lands floating just above white clouds. Lush life covered all the sky islands in a golden color, a world of white, gold, and blue. "This would be best for our kind..." And so they took their first steps into making their new world. They couldn''t do it all as their world was still small so in the end they could only form one massive sky island with its lush golden flora. As they settled in their new home creatures of light slowly started to form. White light condensed until forming creatures made out of light, a mix of white and gold to inhabit their world. Chapter 14 The sky lands, as the ina came to call their home was progressively growing, using their knew powers they tempered with the rules of their world like the Ahi and Hjin. Made it so as the world grew, new land would constantly form, this way they need not spend every day adding on to their world. As elders of their new race they also found a way to ''birth'' more of their kind. They grow their flames to a point where they can brake off a piece. Then they would guide the piece of flame to grow within a pool of liquid light on there island. The way their race slowly grew, but there was still much they did not understand about their power. Where the Ahi and Hjin has many, many years to grow their knowledge they were but a seed not yet ready to grow until they lay down enough roots. Even so they used their past knowledge to tread forwards slowly. Today was a day all of them waited for in excitement, today they would open a portal to visit the Ahi. The centered their power on a circular disk that sprung to life as the power of their white flames looted into the disk, golden flames circling around the edge of the disk. As the speed increased the center of the disk started to whirl, forming a small vortex of energy. The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation. As the energy thouched the golden flames along the edge it abruptly stopped, ripples of energy danced along the disk until they too stopped. In return of their hard work on the other side of the disk could be seen the ash lands. With a multitude of emotions the elder Ina flew through the stable rift. ? ? ? As he was cultivating he once again felt a disturbance within his domain, a circular disk burst to life with golden flame before settling into a rift like portal. Before he could even react to the new situation a bunch of cindari burst through the portal, no not cindari but something else. "What are you and what business do you have with us Ahi!" Appearing from a pile of ash close to the portal he spoke to the new race. "Do you not remember us, have you already forgot after a little time has pasted without us elders around!" Eith a wave of laughter from the Ina they slowly floated down to the ground to allow the King of Ash to get a better look at them. As they settled on the group an elder cindari hovered over to them, her tentacles dragging behind her. "I thought i''d never see you again!" She spoke to all over them and one of them at the same time, the second-now first-elder of the Ina. As everything settled down the Ahi and the Ina celebrated for a couple day, no longer alone they could now finally communicate with their kin. A truce was born between the two races, now they would meet their enimes as one, fire and light working together to push back the darkness. As a little parting gift the Ina left the Ahi small will-o''-wisps made of light to both keep the darkness at bay and push it back. Chapter 15 "Well then, now that I know what those flames really mean why not spice everything up a bit..." Dr. Green as staring at his screen, a mischievous grin making him seem a bit crazed. On the screen were three types of flames, a light blue flame that defied what was though to be impossible, a flame of burning da water. A green earthy flame that released dusts every now and then. and a clear flame that seemed to flow with the wind in unnatural ways. Beside each flame was a pair of each new race, the mer, adept in the ways of water minipulation, the terra, born from the very earth they form around them, and lastly the koja, never really settling down but choosing to roam the worlds in freedom. ? ? ? A group of mer formed on a small hill within the ash lands, they flames releasing a gentle blue glow. They resembled the ahi in many ways, the shape of their bodies, two feet and two arms, even facial features. But what they lacked in originality they more then made up for in looks. With each step they took made it seem as if they where walking on air, with each breath the elements bowed down to them, admiring their beauty. Their eyes sparkled light a million stars and their ears slightly pointed. Their hair a gentle blue with bits of silver here and their, and their skin as pale as snow. Small horns emerged from their temples, curving slightly as they reached a slight point. If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. Looking around they saw the world of the ahi, a world of stuffy ash and an ugly gray covering all of the land. With just one look disgust filled their eyes, their gentle flames now burning with resentment for even having to stand in this place. "Ughh, this place is atrocious, how could their be so much of one color!" Their first born a naturally their strongest looked at the world with contempt. With a slight wave of her wrist and with the power of her flames she sought out a world of their own, one where they can truly build something beautiful. A portal formed and on the other side a massive ocean of emptiness, a world untouched by all, perfect for their kind. Water brusted out from the portal with ferocity, turning the surrounding hill into a lake of murky water, "No no no, this won''t do, I won''t be having our connection point be so...hideous!" As one the mer used their flames to purge the waters of impurities. Now the lake water was crystal clear, sparkling within an unnatural light, instead of becoming murky again the surround land that thouched the lake flourished with green nature. "Now we won''t have to worry about such hideous scenery." With looks of contempt they sauntered through the portal, enjoying the beautiful lake the gifted to the ugly land of gray. Chapter 16 The Terra formed on the edges of the ash lands, their flames giving life to the poor soil around them. As their earthly brown flames burned the souls around them rose and surrounded the flames. It took quite some time before the Terra''s bodies completely formed, their size dwarfing the area around them, the smallest of the bunch reaching a height of 15 meters. Their first born reaching a staggering 30 meters, all over her shoulders and head green flora grew, acting as hair for the terra it grew until it reached her back. All around them the earth of the ash lands sprung to life in the presence of their, even the beasts around them started to change from the presence of the terra. Just waking up from their slumber they looked around the ash lands groggily. During their slumber the lands around them changed to suit their needs, the land of ash now a peaceful green forest, a stark contrast to the gray beyond the forest.Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on Royal Road. *Yawn* As the leader of their group Gaia looked around at her kind. She knew she could not stay in these lands as they could not suit her race. She bore into the black dirt of the forest until she reached a certain point, at the end of her cave like tonnel a portal into a world where her kind can shape it to their wills welcomed them. As they formed there world, one full of mountains and hills, rivers cutting through the valleys in between the mountains, and lush forests full of beats covering the land, she knew she was different. As her kin struggled to help shape their world she could easily shape the earth around them to form wonders. One of her masterpieces, a mountain the broke through the white clouds above them, a certain type of energy seemed to form all around the mountain giving rise to a mysterious fog. Her connection to the earth was far deeper, on a level hard to understand unless they themselves felt it. In her mind knowledge of what she was sprung forth, she was a representation of the very type of soul flame that burned within her. She was a divine, a being that could control the power of their element. Chapter 17 The koja were experiencing a different...birth. Their flames merged to form one huge flame that gave rise to massive winds, a massive storm formed around the flame and after completely forming it tore a rift into space disappearing from the ash lands. The three great races complete changed the lands of the ahi, what once was a land of ash now looked more like a normal world, each element had a role in this realm. ? ? ? As the storm raged through the darkness koja we''re born from the winds of this great storm. With only one real option they followed the storm for both protection and to make their home. Air, and to be more specific, wind is constantly moving. The koja had no problem with living in the gigantic storm, a few even started calling it Eros. The clear flame that lied in the center of the storm fed the koja as water would a plant. The koja resembled humanoid figures made out of wind, their bodies were hard to control though so often they chose to let their forms free. This caused them to look like miniature floating tornados next to the massive one.If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. A world slowly formed around them, one chaotic gales and strong winds. The confines of this budding world perfect for the koja was confined to the boundaries of the Eros, the giant storm. It didn''t matter to the koja one bit, being able to roam the worlds white having a safe place to live was like the pride the ahi had for their cindari. ? ? ? And with that six races inhabit this world, each and to wield the powers of their flames. ¡±Divines huh...¡± Dr. Green was cataloging the divines and the race connected to them. The Terra had Gaia, a giant titan, the Mer also had a divine, a massive octopus that spanned ten percent of their growing world, but it was still but a newborn unable go harness it''s power ad a divine. Then their was Yalin who was currently massive, her size no longer able to judge with their forms of measurement, she was currently slumbering to pass the time for her growing strength. Eros was also considered a divine, already using his power to feed the growing storm, but his mind was now yet developed, running more on instinct then will. The last two divine were...fractured, their souls but wisps doing their best to gain enough strength and be reborn. The great golden flame was the divine for flame and the first will-o''-wisp was the divine for the ina, but sadly after its birth it has shattered by a beast of the sky lands thinking it was food. It didn''t have enough time to solidify its power but because of its destruction the will-o''-wisp race is now a strong faction of the Ina race. Chapter 18 As Yalin gazed through the darkness anger was all that registered in her mind. She had spent so long plunging the world into darkness and now all her hard work was ruined. The shades around her were whimpering in freight, they were like a sapling growing next to a might oak. The Yalin they''ve grown attached to was long gone, now only destruction was all she thought of. As her shades they were slowly currupted by her will, it took everything they had to resist the last mental attack but still many of them became twisted by the hatred. Their faction within the shades were thinning and there was nothing they could do besides group together to fight back the deranged shades. "It is time..." As she stood the world around them trembled, tears in their world formed around her sharp claws as she stretched. The twisted shades were roaring in delight, they would finally get to cause destruction. The shades that still kept some form of sanity were dragged along, they could not survive without the energytheir mother released. ? ? ? The Koja were peacefully enjoying themselves within there world, theirdivine was recking havak to the darkness around them. As they watched the outside world they saw Yalin''s great figure appear before Eros. This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. His mind was still fragile but he no longer just followed his instincts, sensing an enemy the surrounding wind increased, eloganting to form sharp blades of wind. "You think you stand a chance against me, a newborn!" With anger her eyes swirled, everything was swallowed by her eyes. Stripped of his energy Eros shattered, the Koja residing within thrown out of their world. With a swipe of her sharp claws the Koja within reach were killed, an afterimage left behind. The Koja stood no chance in front of Yalin, so as a last resort they used their energy to escape. ? ? ? The sentient shades around Yalin saw a chance. As she ripped a tear in space heading towards the Mer they took their chance. "Now, all of you!" Severing their connection to Yalin the shades flew towards the soul flame left behind by the Koja. There were many flames but it was not enough for all of the shades. The shades that absorbed the flames of the Koja changed, their forms elongating, their incorporeal bodies slowly becoming real. Like Yalin they became dragons, but unlike Yalin their scales were yellow in color, representing their element. "As you you can see not all of us could absorb a flame, so those of us that didn''t attach your selves to us until we find more flames!" Their leader was one of the few who could absorb a flame. He wasn''t like his brethren, his scales had a slight golden hue to them, and he could feel his strength grow with every breath. "Just what flame did I absorb, they all were clear so it''s hard to tell?" The followed their mother but kept their distance, with each attack they absorbed the flames she left behind. Now they were a mix of colors, yellow, blue, brown, white, and lastly red. Chapter 19 "Yalin has already struck all our worlds, as we speak she destroyed the most stable of our worlds! Those that escaped the destruction of Yalin now hid in a world built by all races, a meeting ground between them. "And what do you want us to do, it''s not like we can fight a Divine!" The King of Ash stood before the leader of the Mer, annoyance leaking out. "Even though I don''t like it...Ashy over here is correct..." The Queen of Shadows was standing on another side of the platform, she shadow demons surrounding her race. "She was able to best us when she fought our races one on one...so why not form a... truce?" The Eldest Ina was struggling to come to terms with his words, a glint of anger flashed through his eyes as his gaze swept over the Hjin. "Do you really think it will wiork, she is a Divine, she has already shattered our Eros..." Out of all our races the Koja has it the worst, their Divine was shattered and then more then half of their kind wiped out. The Hjin hadn''t lost one soul to Yalin, before she could even think of heading their way they had all came here. "It matters not if we can, if we don''t try then we''ll all die any ways..." Gaia was a Divine herself, but like Eros she is but a newborn, her power doesn''t stand a chance against Yalin. "Hey, Mer! Where is your Divine, where gonna need it." Gaia looked towards the Mer and their faces grew stiff. "Don''t tell me it plans to stay hidden..." Her words made the surrounding temperature drop, everyone was staring at the Mer. "...we, have no say in what our Divine does..." "So it plans to watch as our worlds die!" "N-No, that not it, its jus~"Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site. "No buts! I''m going to get it myself!" With a step a tear formed on the ground, on the otherside was a giant octopus that was resting inside an underwater cave. "Oh! So you though while we do all the hard work you''ll just sleep! Not. On. My. Watch!" Reaching out she pulled the giant octopus out of its cave and onto the platform, its tentacles flailing around, powerless to stop Gaia. "Now that everyone is here...let''s get star~" A large tear opened up above them, before they could seal it dragons of all shapes and color burst through, their aura even matching that of a Divine. "Sorry for our being late, my kin...needed sometime to...gather." They were all stunned, before them a multitude of dragons intruted onto their discussion and now they wanted in. "H-How can we be sure you aren''t working for that bitch!" The leader of the Mer was stuttering as she pointed a finger at the golden dragon. "Oh! That''s easy...cause we want to kill her!" ? ? ? Their united forced made a last stand in the realm of the Ahi, currently Yalin was trying to brake through the worlds boundaries but that was hard even for her. This world was the work of all six races, even if they didn''t mean too they formed an almost perfect world...but nothing is truly perfect. With all her strength Yalin was finally able to tear through the world boundaries, her claws destroying anything they thouched. What met her on the other side was not what she expected, Ahi, Hjin, Ina, Mer, Terra, and Koja all stood as one. Each of their individual flames creating an aura that even made her pause before flying towards them. Left and right, wether Ahi or mer, they dropped like flies in front of her claws, her shades wreaking havak to those who dared to step to close. But it wasn''t long before the dragons on their side started pushing back her shades, their Divine, the Golden dragon was working together with Gaia and the octopus to hold back Yalin, but it was a struggle. Yalin was the second divine to be born into the world, that''s right the second, she didn''t truly become a divine until she became a dragon. But she was still far too strong for them three to handle. The battle might as well be a one sided slaughter, and all I could do was watch as the seven races were pushed back, the world around them crumbling with each step forwards Yalin took. Wait, I? Huh? why do I keep saying I, there it goes again. What''s happening! Finally, I didn''t know how long you would make me wait! Huh? Don''t you remember who you are, you have been slumbering for a while now. Who...I am? Well, that doesn''t matter right now, what does matter is your Rebirth, so chop chop, focus on gathering your strength again. Following the guidance of the strange text I focused on gathering my strength, but I didn''t know what for. As I continued I could feel a heat growing within me, it burned so much that it was a struggle to keep focus, but I held on. I could feel it, I was starting to remember who I am! With one last push my conscience fell at great speed towards the battle field. As I fell a flame formed around me, showing my location to all on the battle field. My path brought me before the King of Ash, my faithful creation...and with one last look at the battlefield I sunk into the wisp of golden flame...the last living part of me. Then...I was me again... Chapter 20 *edited* As I was fusing with the wisp of my core my conscience was pulled into a white room. "Wellcome back to the land of the living!" A man in a white lab coat was sitting in front of a desk, his vision focused on a screen in front of him. "You may be questioning where we are, but that''s not important right now, no, what''s important now if a task I''m about to give you." His tone implied no room for negotiations. "You see your world is pretty young, so young that it doesn''t stand a chance against other worlds..." "I don''t understand..." With a sigh he focused his attention on me. "Look, my job is to create worlds, and when I created yours...it drew a lot of attention." "I don''t understand?" "Your world is attracting unwanted attention, and I''m someone who likes to keep things fair...so I''ll give you enough time to grow your world." "Grow it how?" "Your world needs a God, so I''m giving you the job." "I don''t want it!" Without a second thought I declined. "I''ll allow you to refuse as long as you give me a solid reason." "I don''t really have a solid reason...I just feel like it''s a role I''m not supposed to play..." "Hmmm, I see, well then I wish your world luck, you''ll need it." Just like that he was gone, and along with him the white room. ? ? ? As I reformed my flames shrouded the King of Ash, sheltering him from the bloody battle going on outside. With just a bit of though it wasn''t only him, but all of the ahi, my flames refining their bodies and giving birth to new ones. Gone was the ash that made them, their golden skin was now flesh, their burn lines now veins that spread all throughout their bodies, crystal bones that allowed them to keep their bodies stable with their new forms.Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation. They sort of look like that man... With their new forms came strength like none before, strength that let them get the upper hand. They used their souls to control the worlds energy around them, using fire to destroy the shades that got past the dragons. Others used the worlds energy to move faster, swing harder, and look farther. But I couldn''t just sit by and watch as the races died, I was already doing so while shattered. Looking at the shapes of Yalin and the dragons I couldn''t help but feel a thouch of inspiration, as I flew towards the battle of Divine''s I changed my shape. Condensing my flame into a slim shape, my face changing into something similar to the dragons before me. This wasn''t my true from but it felt great, arms and legs formed from my flames spilling into sharp claws, hair made out of flame formed, sharp horns jutted from the top of my head. I took the form of a dragon but not like Yalin, my form was different, more aesthetically pleasing, my golden scales sparkling like stars in the night sky, my eyes a rich gold that seemed to be a doorway to a world of glittering stars. Focusing on my flames I gathered them towards my throat, following my instincts that came with this form I opened my mouth and roared, golden flames of pure destruction soared towards Yalin. With a flap of her wings she dodged my flames but that didn''t stop me from continuously shooting flames towards her. It pained me to harm what I once considered a friend, even if she completely ignored me, but I wouldn''t stand by and let her destroy everything. She was out numbered, one against four, but she was strong. We faught, tearing holes into our world, Gaia formed giant rocks and threw them towards Yalin, the giant octopus used its many tentacles to keep the shades at bay, the golden dragon fighting head to head with Yalin, claws against claws. And now me, the first of the Divine, being one came with knowledge, and I knew you could never truly kill a Divine, but you could seal one. "Hey guys, I got an idea, it''s not perfect but it could work." The otherDivine''s seemed to hesitate before agreeing to try out my plan. "We need to surround her, it would be easier if all of theDivineswere here but their currently shattered, after we surround her we need to..." After telling them the plan we split up, I was left to keep her in place while the rest got into place. A couple minutes later we were all in place, instantly we released our wills onto the laws of the world we controled, our voices fusing together to perform the sealing ritual. "?????! ?? ?????? ????? ??? ??? ????, ???? ??? ???? ?? ??? ??????? ?? ???? ???? ?????!" With our chant the laws of our world moved to pressure Yalin, she tried to resist, she held on for a lot longer then we expected, almost draining us completely but in the end her flame was sealed by the laws of our world. Looking around she had already completed her mission, what was left of the seven races were but a shadow of their past selves. The Koja only had a few remaining and theDivine of the Mer was completely exhausted, forced to slumber in the broken world of the Mer. All around us the world was completely destroyed, in some places lied giant tears that released destructive energy. Our world was shattered and if the mans words didn''t put enough pressure on me then this certainly did. "Howam I ever gonna get our world fixed, and then stronger before whatever the man was talking about comes?!" With a sigh I resigned to my fate, first returning to my original form, though that eastern dragon form was fun, it took a lot of energy to maintain as it wasn''t my true form. "I got a lot of work ahead of me..." Chapter 21 - Realm Tree For the past couple of days all I could do was stare at Yalins corpse, I was sad that the only option was sealing her divine soul but if we didn''t the world would be gone by now. When we sealed her divine soul it was ripped from her body and sealed directly above her body. These past days was making sure her would flame couldn''t return to her body. And it couldn¡¯t, the laws of our world truly had her soul flame locked up. Although there was a slight release of energy every now and then from her body. During these couple of days I had a lot of time to think about how to fix the gaping holes in out world that released chaotic energy every second of every day. And I settled on a tree, specifically a Realm Tree as I like to call it. It''s a tree that connects all realms together and also completely separates them, at least now Yalin¡¯s realm could be complete darkness forever. But just six realms.wouldn¡¯t be enough, it requires a lot of energy to grow. Just creating the seed will take all of the Divine¡¯s energy as well as the leftover energy from Yalins corpse. But that''s was just to form the seed, to continue its growth it needs a lot of energies, specifically, souls of the dead. So, I thought of a way to create more realms without us actually having to create them. Realm Wurms, a new race that actually requires all types of flame, and two more. The Realm Wurms also need time and space soul flames, so when they die they release enough energy to give birth to a realm, and the specifics of the realm is decided on the amount of balance the Realm Wurm had. This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it. So to create the new race we had to create two more Divine¡¯s...and that''s gonna take a while. But I was more then happy designing the bodies of both Divine. They both would be eastern dragons, time would be made out of sand, but it would be hard to tell, this would allow it to reform and only be shattered if every speck of sand was destroyed. Space would hold a galaxy within it''s scales, those that it touched of touched it would be transmitted into it''s galaxy, this would allow it to go between both worlds, it would act as a doorway between both worlds. It galaxy it held within would be like the elements realms of the six divine races. I don''t know why they started calling themselves divine, but who am I stop them. Time would also hold a world of it''s own but I couldn''t really define the realm like I could with space, currently it was just a sea of sand. But before we could do any of that we have to wait, and wait, and wait...I never knew how boring it could be waiting, when I was shattered I didn''t feel time at all. I wonder what the Ahi are doing? After they got their new forms their way of life completely changed. Now they had to eat food to be able to survive as well as drink water. They couldn''t live in their homes made out of ash as they would be subject to the cold. Even though most of them can use ash, -which they started classifying as a sub-element of flame- they couldn''t live like before. With the changes of their world from the other races they were able to adapt easily, using wood and stone to build their homes, living off plants and meat from the wilderness, and I even spotted a couple of Ahi living in the world of the Ina. I¡¯ll just go and check on them again, they are considered my creations. Chapter 22 All of us were standing before the resting place of Eros, the Koja were joyful that their Divine would be reborn soon. This was it, the last of the Divine we were waiting for, everyone else reformed and now stood beside me. As we waiting the worlds energy started to twist and turn, strong gales swept through the space with unnatural force and a great clear flame burst to life before our group. The Koja were the first to feel the reformation of Eros, and also his mental state of mind. His conscience was in a very precious state so when Yalin shattered him his mind twisted, all he could do now was destroy. He looked around the group before he started to attack with blind anger, his gales pushing the Koja back while barely nudging us Divine. "So my assumption was correct, when Yalin shattered him, his mind couldn''t handle to pressure..." (Gaia) "Even so, his mind will recover but it will take some time, for now we''ll just need to capture enough of his energy to form the realm tree..." (wisp) "Then so be, let''s try not to hurt him..." Five against one was too much for Eros so we were able to capture enough of his energy and send him to a realm that would suit his needs. If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. "Now that we got all over the energy it''s time to form the realm tree." Fire, water, air, earth, light, and gold energy condensed to form one dazzling seed, but it was still not ready. Space and time would need to be formed before the realm tree seed could be functional. "Alright, step one is complete, now comes the hard part..." We all knew what would come next, and not one of us would enjoy the pain. Using all of our strength we gathered our energy before us, then purged it of all influence, making pure world energy. After words we each split them up into equal amounts before think of the type of energy they would turn into. The feeling of being empty was almost unbearable but we continued. After days of creating space and time energy we finally had enough to form the Divine''s for both types. With words of good luck the others passed their energies onto me so I could form their bodies. After months of hard work and excruciating pain from holding to much energy that did not belong to me I was finished forming their bodies. As if summoned by my final thoughts both Divine opened their eyes for the first time and stared out into the world, and for the first time I felt pressure like none other. What we created were no Divine''s... Looking around their gazed settled on me. "It was you who took the liberty to form these bodies for us, and for that we shall give our thanks..." As one they gathered their power and pushed it into me, I could feel my exhaustion wash away as a content feeling arose. "As newborns we can''t really do much..." (Space) "...But with this you shall be able to control space and time slightly..." (Time) I had created bodies for two Demigods! Chapter 23 After space and time--choosing to name themselves after they elements--formed we had to wait a while before we could form the realm tree seed. They may be demigods but if anything that just made the wait longer, and each day that passed foreign energy from the gaping holes in our world continued to increase. Yalin¡¯s body was still in pristine condition if anything changed then it was unnoticeable. Her body kept on releasing energy but it just gathered to form a fog around her body. When the two demigods finally had enough strength everyone was more than a little anxious. After years of hard work everything was ready. After we all gathered Space and Time added their energy to the realm tree seed. With a burst of energy the seed flew out of my control and rested just above Yalin¡¯s corpse. ¡±Was that supposed to happen?¡± Gaia said what was on everyone''s mind. With increasingly dazzling rainbow light the shell of the seed slowly broke apart for roots and a stem to pop out. The roots continued to grow until the wrapped around Yalin¡¯s course, while the stem kept on growing until reaching a height of 15 meters. ¡±Well it appears that the realm tree is using Yalin¡¯s body as a source of fuel, sapping off of the energy to grow itself...¡±(Space)Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit. ¡±Not only that but her roots as tried to reach the clumps of foreign energy but any roots that though the stuff just completely disintegrated.¡±(Time) ¡±...so, what now?¡±(Aqua) ¡±...now, we wait again...¡± ? ? ? ¡±Your majesty, I¡¯ve come to report on the current events between the gifted and ungifted...¡± "Oh, more problems have occurred between the two..." "Yes your majesty, this time the ungifted took it upon themselves to start leaving the capital, but when the gifted heard of it they denied such actions using your name..." "...Oh, so a bunch of lazy mages don''t want to work mortal jobs so their forcibly keeping mortals now..." A glint flashed through the King of Ash eyes as he stared into the capital below him. ? ? ? "Finally, you''ve grown enough that I can now create the realm wurms..." Gathering my energy I purified it of its flame element and started working on a new race. I had a clear picture, like the eastern dragon in shape but these wurms had no wings or arms. Their bodies were clear so that any energy they contain could be shown, they would be able to float and fly around without the effects of gravity and their food source would be elemental energy. Their lives were tied to the amount of energy they contained, when they reached the limit of energy their bodies can contain they would slowly start to die until they burst out with all the energy they collected. This way that energy would be used to form new worlds, but if I just left it like that then the realm would always be different--only if slightly--but all the same size. So I compromised, their bodies would grow every day slightly so that their size would all be different from one another, so now the slower eaters would end up forming the larger realms. Chapter 24 As the first of its kind the realm wurm was wondering around the world eating all kinds of energy. It didn''t have to worry about others of its kind taking all the energy so it was quickly reaching its limit. As it finished eating the last of a water element cluster the realm wurm had finally reached its limit. Programed into its instincts it started to return to the realm tree, it would take a while before it reached the roots of the realm tree. When it finally did it only had a day left in its life, it found a nice location pretty close to the bottom of the roots and closed its eyes, awaiting its death. As the clock ticked down the energy that resides inside its body started to convulse, tearing at his skin and leaking into the surrounding area. And after a couple more second it opened its eye full of pain and just enjoyed the view of the realm tree. With a burst of chaotic energy the realm wurm no longer lived physically in the world. The chaotic energy it released condensed quickly to form a small world, barely perceptible if one wasn''t trying to find it. The energy continued to flow into the small realm until there was no more, just a gentle pull of the surrounding energy around it that would all it to continually grow slowly. This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there. The conscience of the realm wurm could feel the attention of the realm tree, it nudged it gently to descend into his realm and rest in a safe location. His realm was beautiful, a small planet made of all his hard work, beautiful landscapes with crystal clear waters, the world had so much mana that it formed a thick fog around the world. He found a small little island in the center of a great sea, there he found a small little hill in a forest clearing. With one last look at its world it drifted off too sleep inside the small hill. "Your journey does not end here my friend..." A small little sapling grew from the hill where the souk of the realm wurm choose the sleep. The sampling drew in the surround mana using it to speed ups its growth, when it reached a height of 40 meters it slowed down, stopping around 43 meters. The soul of the realm wurm was slowly pulled into the giant tree, serving as a new body and a form of protection for the realm wurm. Chapter 25 After a couple years of planning the mortals of the elemental realms finally set their plan in motion. They rioted and refused to work for their races, refusing to even stay in the same room as a cultivator. Their civilizations had slowly changed over the years, after mortals started appearing within their ranks they started to form a hierarchy. Those who could cultivate the energy of their world were labeled as cultivators and treated as nobility, while those who couldn''t seem to grasp even the slightest bit of the worlds energy were labeled as mortals. Some even started calling them selves a ?????? ????, spouting nonsense about how their connection to their ?????? qualifies them as a ?????? ????. When that thought started to take root ''mortals'' started to be treated even worse, forced to work all jobs while they just played around. After the leaders started to see where this was going they stepped in, forcing cultivators to form sects and those sects decided the rules for themselves. It helps slightly but it didn''t matter anymore, they were fed up with the treatment. So tonight they all gathered in a valley, all the mortals of each race, even a some young dragons who were treated like crap joined them. When the worlds energy shifted like it does every night they activated an array that would allow them safe passage to the ''mortal realms'', a name chosen by the very cultivators that forced them to take this drastic measure.Support the creativity of authors by visiting the original site for this novel and more. There was no going back, the worlds energy wouldn''t allow them to return to the elemental realms, and they were perfectly fine with it. As they found themselves within the mortal realm they were able to admire its landscape. Towering mountains off in the distance, ancient forests as tall as most terran spread out across the land, great beats inhabited this world...their new home. ? ? ? "Hmm...I guess it was only a matter of time before they split..." (Gaia) "Yes, we''ve long predicted this, but we couldn''t have know that they would become so blinded as too treat their kind as slaves..."(Wisp) "Well, nothing we could do about it now, so enought they''ll change, the mortal realms definitely can''t keep them alive for long, their bodies requires too much energy that the realm doesn''t have."(Time) "Then so be it, they''ve choosen this for themselves, if anything it''ll end up saving us some time as we won''t be needing to create new types of races to suit these mortal realms..." Given enough time their desendents will change, adapt to better suit their new realm, and in the process of doing so they will help the realm grow in ways that even us ?????? could not. They would become the inhabitants of this realm, and as the realm grows, so too will they themselves. Chapter 26 Lori-el, named after the ''mortals'' from the ?????? ????''s who descended onto the small realm. After everything settled they once again broke up into groups and spread throughout the planet. It didn''t take long for kingdoms and empires to form, and shortly after disputes and war. Not many of them remember the elemental realms, only few do and they keep it to themselves. The cultivators spread their knowledge throughout the world giving rise to cultivation civilizations. Sects rule the land, whether it''s a sect who forms an empire or the empire that forms a sect. Cultivation is just a tool for them to use against their enemies, they take for granted this power and use it for their own gains. Most of the ?????? ???? that descended has long since past, but few family lines still exists. These families are known as hidden factions, choosing to spend their time researching the laws of their world then to fight meaningless battles. After some generations the races of the Mortal Realm adapted for better suit their realm, the Ahi turned into humans and humanoid races, the Mer spilt into three races, fae, elven, and merfolk. The Terran became giants, trolls, and titans. Titans had a hard time producing offspring so out of all the descendants of the terran, they were the smallest. The Koja seemed to stay true to themselves, becoming nephilim, like humans but with angelic wings that allow them to fly high and build great cities on mountain tops.A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. The Ina and the Hjin seemed to follow the same evolutionary path, both races start off from the weakest type of their race and evolve into stronger versions. The Ina became Angels while the Hjin became devels. "They''ve truly did good, their desendents are perfect for this realm..."(Gaia) "But its not enought, already many realm wurms are on their last days, we need more races..."(Gold) After a while brainstorming ideas one idea stuck out the most... "Time, why don''t you speed up the mortal realm even more, make it so that by the time the realm wurms die and their realms stabilize we can spread out the races instead of having them all in one realm." "...Yes, that could work, especially if I set it to my limit, a day in the elemental realms would be at least around a couple thousand years..." "Well then we should all also prepare, when the realm wurms died they will give the realm tree enough energy to grow rapidly, also the mortal realm will definitely absorb the surrounding realms..." As they spoke already one realm wurm reached its end and exploded in a burst of chaotic energy, smaller realm wurms quickly swam out of the chaotic energy and started making their way towards clumps of energy. Chapter 27 What most races of Lori-el--the name they gave their realm--is that some bloodlines of the ?????? ????''s took a monster route. For example a line of Ahi ended up turning into dragon kin, they laid low ever since but during their hiding in the extremely cold snow capped mountains on the main continent they''ve come to develop a civilization of their own. Their first few generations struggled to keep their place in the frozen waist land, but during the fifth generation that all changed. Ice dragons migrated to the snow capped mountains forcing the strong creatures of the frozen waist land to flee in terror. They too were scared like the creatures but soon they''ve grown to worship them like gods. Because of them they were able to thrive in the frozen waist land, they once small number sky rocketed and soon their small cave became a bustling city for their kind. Each year they provide offerings to the ice dragons, and in return the ice dragons gift them drops of their blood. Those who are able to withstand the chilling cold of their blood become the warriors of their civilizations, taking ice serpents as mounts and forming a bond that lasts a lifetime. It didn''t really take long for them to form a hierarchy, the royal family being the family with the purest bloodline of the ice dragons. Their civilization just kept on growing as the years went by, the first ice serpents bound by the Nylon--their kingdom name--evolved into ice wurms. This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it. These ice wurms had far greater control over ice then any ice serpents and so they''ve become the companions of the royal family. The royal family has also grown, their number large enough to form a sect but they choose not too. The ways of the outside is something they do not accept. Their first contact with other races have left them apprehensive when it comes to any race but their own. Their knowledge on cultivation is at the extreme of ice, colder then any other ice type cultivation, causing them to come off as arrogant or even haughty. Many have sought out their knowledge and some even thought to use force to steal their knowledge, but they were all slaughtered at the hands of their Serpent division, their strongest division of knights. This just caused them to be quick to distrust outsiders causing an even greater rift with the outside world. But it didn''t matter to them, their empire was great and their religion was solid, after other empires tried to gain control by trying to sway dragon kin into their religion they down right forbade any other religion within their territory, and all dragon kin agreed. Their devote worship is the ice dragons truly surprised most of the ??????, after realizing that they truly believed in a ?????? for ice they took it upon themselves to develop a system. When a such a large group of people believed in such a ?????? now said ?????? would slowly form, this would also give rise to their ranks allowing them to do more for their world. And in the hundredth generation of the Nylon dragon kin the ?????? they believed in was birthed from their collective belief. Chapter 28 *edited* The angels are a very aloof race, they like to keep to themselves and stay within their floating cities high up in the sky''s. Most angels are highly adept in light mana, some even believe them to be born from light. Their race is considered on of the smallest in the world of Lori-el, not all nephilim has what it takes to evolve into an angel. The first angle was said to be the offspring of a nephilim with will-o''-wisp blood. He was an outcast for his weird bloodline, it was hard to understand and him being a loner didn''t help his image. After grasping the knowledge held deep within his bloodline he found the path to ascension, to become something different from the race that hated him. To truly show the nephilim race that he was no longer one of them and never wanted to be them he evolved in front of many nephilim. The sun dimmed welcoming a new race into the world and the mana around him became chaotic, light burst from his body and great feathered dark grey--almost black--wings expanded from his back. The nephilim were terrified of this outcome, before them stood a race of the light??????, a?????? that was not the?????? they worshiped. The wings of an angel are sacred to their kind, it''s also a way to tell their mental state. Wings like his represented anger and hatred, blinded by his emotions he slaughtered most nephilim before him, causing the race to fear him. The first born of the angelic race, a race know for their kindess even if a bit arrogant was the total opposite. Because of their actions the first angel was labeled as a demon, a spawn of Yalin, his name was carved into the history of Lori-el, the demon Lux.If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. He spent years slaughtering the nephilim, one by one he burned their cities to the ground with dark grey flames. The nephilim stood no chance against the monster they brought into the world. ? ? ? *sigh* "Go ahead Wisp, I know your tired of observing a race your half govern be treated like this..." Not needing anymore conformation Wisp disappeared in a burst of light. ? ? ? Lux stared at the last standing city of the nephilim race, the capital was under heavy protection, he could even spot a couple other flying races helping the nephilim. As he was about to head out and destroy the last city--already giving up on remembering all their names--Wisp appeared before him. "I can no longer sit still and watch you slaughter this race..." Wisp''s voice echoed through Lux''s mind forcing him to his knees. "Have you''ve forgotten that you were once nephilim?" His questioning tone allowed Lux some freedom to be able to answer its question. "I was never like them, I was an outcast, their actions have made the man I am today!" "Then I am ashamed to have you represent element within the mortal realms!" The force returned ten fold causing Lux to cry out in pain and cough up blood. "Eros could not look after this race, so during one of his more sane moments he asked me to look after this race, and accept them into my domain..." No sprawled on the floor Lux had non strength to resist a??????. "...so imagine my anger when I found out the child I blessed with a drop of my blood slaughtering the race I spent so my much time protecting!" Lux was losing focus as the words started to beat at his will. "You thought you were one of a kind,no, your just the first of many, your actions will cause those to come after you great trouble." His tone became cold the pressure slowly retreating. "So...I''ll give you one chance, in a couple days from now another angel shall be born, when that happens you must protect her..." Wisp slowly fades away, only the echoes of his words ensuring Lux that his encounter with his?????? had truly happened. Chapter 29 "Shit!" After Wisp left Lux was left weak, his strength all but vanishing before the ??????. His pitch black wings did well to hide him during the night. Already more then a couple days have passed and still no sign of another angle like him. He used some of his powers to try and find a nephilim like him who is treated like an outcast but there didn''t seem to be one. He knew it was a female as Wisp told him so but what he didn''t know if the femails was young or an adult, he didn''t even know if she could understand the knowledge held within their blood, maybe that''s why she was taking so long to awaken. As he was hiding between two building he overheard something interesting. "Did you hear that the princess locked herself within her rown, she even refuses to open up to the elders?" "Yeah I did, it''s all anyone is talking about these days, I wonder what''s got the princess acting like this..." They were already too far away for Lux to hear anything more but he finally had a lead. Why the hell do I even have to do this, it''s not like I was told to be their at her awakening, only to protect her... A slight burning sensation all over his body reminded him why he was currently sneaking through the shadows heading in the direction of the royal palace. Thats right, whatever he did to me seemed to have messed with my bloodline, now even if I do think as not following his words my blood starts to burn up... After reaching the palace nothing but guard patrols met his gaze. The palace was so guarded that it would be hard to sneak by. Reading on Amazon or a pirate site? This novel is from Royal Road. Support the author by reading it there. Another stupid limitation Wisp put on Lux was that he could no longer slaughter any nephilim, not one. He was forced to stick to the shadows and sneak past the guards. After sneaking into the palace it took him quite some time find the princess''s chamber, he was only able to find her because his bloodline seemed to screen out in joy after finding another person with the same blood. Using the shadows he snuck into the chamber. On the otherside was beautiful young nephilim, her small wings slightly fluttered behind her back. Most female nephilim were cursed to have small wings, too small to be able to fly with. "...I was wondering how long it would take you to find me..." Her voice seemed detached, all emotion was gone and only emptiness filling her words. "..." "...so, have you''ve come to kill me? Or have you''ve come to watch as I turn into a monster like you..." She knew what her bloodline meant then... "...why, why must I be cursed to carry such an evil bloodline within me?" Her emotions seemed to flood back into her, tears flowing down her cheeks, his words almost pleading to no one in particular. "...will I also slaughter the people that I love... "...will I also be labeled as a demon..." He had no words, he didn''t know what to say, all he could do was observe as she slipped into crazed muttering. "...no..." Her eyes slowly became determined, a new found hope to cling to. "...no, I will not head down the same path as you, I will protect my race, the nephilim, I will not accept..." Her words cut off as a blinding light burst forth from her body, she seemed to instantly age a bit, she grew a couple inches taller, her hair became a rich gold, her wings expanding to become pristine white feathered wings, her body even got some curvature. "Now, i''m sorry to say this princess but I was tasked to protect you, and your definitely not safe here..." After awakening she fell asleep, her body slowly falling forward causing Lux to catch her in his arms. "Elizebeth, what''s happening in there, open up!" A man--most likely her father--was pounding her her door, the wood splintering in some sections until a big enough hole allow him to peer in catching a glimpse of Lux''s black wings. "Time to go princess!" Picking her up he flew out of the wind and easily left the capital behind. "Elizabeth!" The kings voice echoed throughout the capital shaking the place. Chapter 30 Why, why must I baby sit such an annoying, ignorant- "What are you doing!" "What does it look like I''m doing princess, even bad guys need some sleep..." Yawning he shut his eye and sleep in the branches of a tree, using his wings as a sort of cushion. "well...no one said you can sleep!" "..." "Okay, you asked for it..." After a bit of chanting Lux was covered head to toe in sticky slime. "...that''s not...what it was supposed to..." "Great! Just great, now you can''t even control your magic!" With a flap of his slime coated wings he was able to launch himself in the air...and fall right back down... "You now what, i''m done with this, she''s perfectly fine by her-argh!" On the ground all he could do was scratch at his skin as his blood burned. After sometime the burning stopped and he had to walk all the way to the nearest water source. "...I''m-" "Don''t...I going to bed." ? ? ? The next couple of days Elizabeth regained control of her magic, light now being the easiest to control and Lux finally resigned to his fate. "So, can we leave this dingy forest?"This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it. "And do what exactly?" "...I don''t know, probably help some people..." Lux looked at Elizabeth like she was an idiot. "You do that, I''ll just watch." And that exactly what happened, for months Elizabeth help others while Lux always had to drag her away whenever they realized she was the same race as me. After these months her magic became so strong that even Lux had a slight bit of trouble with it. As her good ded''s spread so to did her race, people became confused because on one side their was Lux, a demon, but on the other side was the lost princess who was cursed to carry the same blood as the demon, but she was still true to herself. More then one time her father tried to ambush them and more then one time Lux ended up spending the night in pain for killing nephilim. It was on the last day of their year long journey that Wisp returned. "You have done well protecting her, already she had grown into a well respected woman..." His words echoed through their mind, Lux was forced to the ground face first while Elizabeth just kneeled before Wisp, to her Wisp sounded like a carring mother. "Yes, and it''s all thanks to Lux that I had the time to grow!" She was truly thankful to Lux even though it was his fault that she had to leave her old life behind. "Well then Lux, you no longer need to worry about protecting her, but I shall not lift the curse that prevents you from harming nephilim..." After lifting the curse Elizabeth and Wisp started having a peaceful conversation, and when ever Lux tried to chime in he would be stared at by both of them. At the end of the day Wisp blessed Elizabeth with a couple drops of its blood, she would be able to take one herself and gift the others to deserving nephilim. "So...does that mean our time together has ended..." She sounded reluctant to leave, she grown used to Lux and was able to learn a bit about his past. "That it does princess, you no longer need protecting so that means I can just find a nice and quite place to settle..." "So...your really leaving..." She looked at the ground to hide her sadness, a few tears started falling down her cheeks. Why am I crying? "Unless..." "Huh?" "Unless you ask me to keep you company..." Lux had his back turned to Elizabeth so she could see the slight bliss to his cheeks. "Then...will you keep me company!" ? ? ? And so their journey continued, they spent their time together, Elizabeth helping others without worrying about herself and Lux forced to protect her when people came after her. She did find those worthy to carry the drop of blood from Wisp, and now they moved as one, a group of white feathered angels protected by Lux, the grey feathered angel. He could never really forgive the nephilim for what they did to him huh? "Liz, are you ready?" Lux enerteted their home, Elizabeth was holding a child within her arms. She was telli n the story of their journey to their child, the first born of two angels, her wings had two colors, grey and white. Chapter 31 Titans, a race of giant beings who are deeply connected to the earth. They worship Gaia who they call the mother of titans and guardian of The Realm. For years they''ve lived in piece worshiping their God far from any civilization...but that all changed one year. Others thought that they could take advantage of the small and piece duo race, they thought they could capture and enslave them all...oh how wrong they were. They poked a beast that should not have been poked, no one knew that the titans were treated as sacred to any race strongly connected to earth, for they were truly the children of Gaia. Angered that other races were fullish enough to try such a thing they decided it was time to fight back. Using their high affinity with earth they easily slaughtered all other races on their continent. No longer allowing any other race to step foot on their continent.A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. Even though the conflict ended they could not return to their peaceful lives. Only those who stayed peaceful and not harm others was allowed such a life in their belief. But they couldn''t just roam the world, so they compromised. They built a city on the peak of a mountain too large enought that it even they felt tiny. They built an amazing city of stone and carved ancient runes of long forgotten into the walls of the city. Then...they shut themselves off from the outside world, choosing to live life without contact of other races equal parts ashamed of what they''ve done and angered at the outside races. And so the legendary city of Titan was forged but none could ever reach it so as years went by the races of Lori-el forgot about the titans. Chapter 32 After the Titans locked themselves into their massive city it was many years before the continent even had another race step foot on the land. As other races returned many of them had ideas of reaching the city of Titan but quickly changed their minds. After reaching the mountain it was too tall that they had no hope of ever reaching the city, and that was ignoring the fact about freezing temperatures and air. The continent had many, many years of healing and uncontrolled growth, but barely anything grew around the mountain. Great ancient forests and maze like caves scattered all across the land. Still standing ruins of ancient civilizations long past became home to monsters of great strength. Hidden beneath the surface and deep within the caves lie a race that was forced to hide deep below the ground when the titans attacked. After many years their height decreased to about 3-4 feet, their clothing nothing but scraps of cloth.A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. Their skin were pale green and they were beyond ugly, their stench could kill everything within the surrounding miles or at least scare it away. A new race to the world was growing beneath the surface in the myriad of maze like caves and caverns. These goblins were not a small race, it was the opposite in fact, their number reached staggering heights and not even some of the most ancient kingdoms could match their number. These fast breeders didn''t live long, they could live to about 10 to 20 years, while those lucky enough could live slightly longer. After years of patiently waiting they would soon return to the land of legends passed down feom generation to generation of wise goblins. A land full of light and bounty that none could ever image, a land full of unending food. Chapter 33 *edited* A couple more years went by as the goblins prepared for their assault on the surface world. Their shamans, wise goblins able to comune with the elements made sure that their connection to magic was sound. Their strongest of brawlers and fastest of warriors formed ranks and started to wined their way through their caverns towards the surface followed closey by their shamans. It was quite amazing how deep below the suface far away from all elements that the goblins were able to even contact them. Their magic system was unlike anything else on the surface world and that was because it was far more animalistic and primal then any surface world magic. The goblins used their knowledge of surface magic to develop their own, surface magic used elemental mana to cast magic, but their shamanistic system allowed them to speak with the elementals, to comune and form long lasting pacts. Once formed the shamans gains the ability to summons their elementals into the mortal realms to fight. Their symbootic relastionship not only allows the goblins to temper their souls but also strengths the power of elements. Even their warriors forged pacts with elementals, doing so allowed them to use said element when fighting. To be able to cause fire just with a punch, to brake the earth with a stomp, to use the winds to move unseen, and to freeze your foes with just the slightest thouch. If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. Though they may be hideous their strength more then made up for it. Their magic system was one of the very few all-rounded systems, this is shown by the fact that even other professions can benefit from it. But what really made their way of magic so fascinating was the effect it had on the elemental realms. With every battle won elementals would return to their realms and reap benifits, bringing mana from the mortal realms to fuel their growth. Legenda speak of the first shaman to even walk their caverns, able to comune with the six legendary elementals, closely tied to the Divine''s of their realms. So to the Divine''s that closely watched the realm out of bordem was surprised to find such a race easily take over the continate the Titans left uninhabited. With their close connection to the elementals they easily wiped out any monster fighting for supremecy over the land. After which performing a sacred ritual only thought to be a theory. Forming a connection point between the elemental realms and their mortal realm to allow elementals easy access, A nexus they called it. It was hard to admit for most races but the beauty of the goblins nexus effects their systems greatly. They performed the ritual during the night of the gray moons, when the connection between the elemental worlds and their mortal world was thinnest. They summoned great amount of elementals, asking for their assistance in forming a portal between their realms. The nexus itself took the shape of a great forest full of untamed wilds, later named the elemental wilds. Other heavily magically attuned races quickly followed their path in forming nexus'' of their own, althought for whatever reason they could only forming singular or duel nexus'' never a complete one like the goblin shamins. Chapter 34 The dead, the largest population of Lori-el for each day the dead grows in number. War leaves plenty of dead and poverty and famine adds on to the number. Each day people die, and each day the dead grows. A sage well renowned for his talanets of life magic, a combination of many elements, was found dead one morning. Even though he spent his life healing people, curing them of their illnesses, and bringing them back to LIFE...no one mourned his death. He wasn''t a sage for no reason, he ensured that even in death he would continue to live and he did a test to see if anyone truly appreciated his talents. And he was angered after finding out that no one truly did. Cursing the world of the living he performed a forbidden spell, one that caused terror to the world of Lori-el many, many years ago. He reworked the speed to fit his magic and cast the speed before his souls washed away. Dark clouds gathered above his resting ground, pitch black lighting struck the surround area and one the size of a tree trunk struck his body. Slowly his hand broke through the soil above his and shortly after his body. The skin and meat along his body slowly rotted and in some places crystal bones could be seen. Using a bit of magic he disguised his body and kept it from rotting any further. Within his body two types of magic constantly clashed, death, so strong that it formed a mist around him that killed any life in the surround area, and life, so rich and energizing that life constantly grew around him to be killed by the mist. With a step in the direction towards to city of his resting ground a race that is feared by all was born. With anger and hatred now clouding his judgement the city before him fell in a matter of seconds. A sage is someone at the top of the world, so when he stopped trying to control his chaotic mana the miasma around him expanded to the surrounding city, it even continued well past the city and enveloping the entirety of the plains that surrounded the city. Within his mist the races died, unable to fight back the miasma that forced into any opening into their body. It rotted their body''s until only skeletons was left spawned across the ground of the city and surround villages. After a bit of chanting the souls of those dead started to burn with erie gray flames within their chests acting like a heart. Their eyes burned with grey flames and allowed them to look around in confusion before kneeling in the direction of the sage, scratch that Death Sage. Chapter 35 *edited* Humans, one of the worlds largest race and also the most curropt of them all. They have a long history of greed fueling their actions, whether from the fall of the sun elves empire to the formation of the dark cults. Their history is also one of the most broken as multiple times major figures within their race sought to purge their civilization of its greed to only fall at the hands of betrayal. Their ways in magic is thought to be one of the strongest in Lori-el for its short time of exsistance. Their race hold many ''hero''s'' who master these ways of magic, and with these ''hero''s'' they kept hold of one of the largest continents. Elves on the other hand are known for their long history of protecting the life of Lori-el. Doing their best to keep the curroption from destroying their world but in the process of doing so targeted by more then a few dark factions. Elven history is one of the longest recorded on paper, it dates back to a time when the elven race had multiple sub-races. The extinct sun elves, the hidden moon elves, the arrogant high elves, and the curropted dark elves. So many that they chose to record the leading sub-races and leave out the rest. But current day the elven race are a shadow of their former selves, only there living sub-races left standing, the hidden moon elves, the curropt dark elves, and the wood elves. ? ? ? The Realm Tree was in a constant rate of growth, as the realm wurms reached the end of their lives the realm tree would absorb the excess energy. By the end of the day the second realm for form. Yalins corpse resided just below the realm tree entangled in a large amount of roots. The energy released from the body would be absorbed but in the process the roots would root until they were destroyed. If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. The energy they did escape the realm tree would roam around the world continually moving. One such cluster of energy was continuously getting closer to the mortal realm. A pull from the mortal realm sped up the speed of the energy before being absorbed into the mortal realm. ? ? ? Tonight was darker then most nights, the moon was blocked by storm clouds releasing a heavy poor of rain. Most people chose to stay inside and wait for the storm to pass but for the branch of the dark cult here it was a perfect night for slaughter. Cultists snuck into the homes of the unsuspecting and put them to sleep before bring them back to their shrine in the ancient forest close to the small town. The shrine was left featureless for multiple reasons, only the race could be vaguely seen from the shrine. The stone shrine was of an overgrown dragon that was hard to find the type of dragon. It was an open secret that the dragon race had long since vanished from Lori-el causing the shrine to be a special location for there sacrifices to the''dark god'' their kind worship. During one of their sacrifices after all the bodies were sacrificed a pitch black smoke enveloped the whole shrine. The features of the featureless dragon slowly changed until the statue resembled the slumbering Yalin. The cultists that were all over the shrine fell to their knees in agony, their skin burns at the thouch of the smoke and those who inhaled the smoke died outright. The smoke slowly entered into the statue releasing a dark aura, the statue looked as if it was the real thing, like it would soar into the sky''s and releas a dominating roar. The cultists who survived the anomaly were changed in unimaginable ways, their skin slowly lost color and the organs within their bodies slowly stopped, but they could still move. Their eyes were now a blood red and sharp fangs and claws extended from their teeth and nails. After their transformation they sauntered towards the shrine of Yalin and kneeled, worshiping their new, dark god. But it wasn''t only this shrine that experienced the same anomaly, all over Lori-el shrines now resembled the resting Yalin, her life like eyes opened just a tiny fraction. All over Lori-el a new race was born who worshiped Yalin, but those that truly benefited from her power were the dark cult of the human faction and the dark elf race. Within the capital of the dark elf race the tallest and main statue of Yalin could be found its aura not a mere copy but the real thing. Chapter 36 And it finally happened, the chaotic energies from the dead realm wurms started to form their own respective realms, the roots of the realm tree glowed with colors of red, white, blue, yellow, and brown. Their were many more odd pockets of color but those five were the largest if you exclude the clear color. More then a few paritally formed realms ended up a bit too close to the Lori-el, named after the first named planet, and was slowly drawn in by the pull that was greater then their own. Some realms were even smashed together in the process before reaching the edge. It didn''t take long to realized, after the realms came close enough their energies were absorbed by the Lori-el and the world tree of the realm. It guided the energy to complete the solar system around Lori-el and using the excess to start forming separate solar systems pretty far away from the one Lori-el resides in. During the process of absorbing the other realms it''s size more then tripled which was pretty insane. The other realms seemed to be pretty separated besides a few here and there. "Time, it''s time for you to do your thing..." Time recorded the life forms of all living and exstinct races for this exact moment. With a bit of energy from all of them he would be able to bring back those races and spread them throughout the realms. And their were many races that just one small piece of land gave birth too, pretty special. The great dragon race didn''t actually go completely extinct but it did end up losing almost all its subraces. Only earth dragons survived by keeping to themselves deep within the earth, well...except for the female that chose the city of titan as it''s home and place of her children. This novel''s true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there. After some discussions we decided to allow the races to regain their diversity and subraces on its own only bringing back those races who truly became exstinct. The good news was that gold secured a dragon family with a drop of his bloodline and other earth dragons had a mix of bloodlines from other types of dragons. We also chose to make sure the ?????? races of the elemental realms couldn''t descend onto the mortal realms, didn''t need their blood to cause a new age of evolution... yet. After a bit of work we were able to bring back every type of race that went extinct by bringing them to our time, well those that wouldn''t effect the history so much anyways. For the races on the mortal realm...that took a bit more discussion to settle on something. We would transfer around a thousand of each race and bring them to their own realms, and for those rare realms that had two suitable planets would like wise contain two races. ? ? ? It was a normal day just like any other day, or at least it started off that way. While Samuel was working on the family farm he started to fall...into the sky. Terrified he just froze before screaming his head off, but he was already high into the sky by then. Off in the distance he could just barely make out other people experiencing the same thing. So many people from all kinds of races, some he couldn''t even recognize were currently falling upwards towards space. After breaking through the atmosphere they were perfectly fine, well at least he was. Someone who was pretty close to him ended up falling into a cloud of some pretty weird stuff, she kept on falling but all that was left was her pearly white skeleton. What the hell! It was hard to admire the scene around him, the sun that could be scene far off into the distance as well as some small dots. Bright stars lit up the surround space but currently all he could focus on was if he would survive what ever this was. And then like it never even happened he was back on the ground, but not on the farm but in a forest clearing surround by a bunch of other people. Not far from him was the skeleton of the girl who fell into the cloud of energy, A cold shiver ran down his back as he fell to the ground powerless. Chapter 37 *edited* No...this isn''t what I want... Staring over the world everything just felt...wrong, incomplete. The realms were doing fine but for how long, change is inevitable, so it would need to be on step ahead. The energy around the roots of the realm tree were fine but they would not be enough for the growing realms, already one of them has shown signs of dehydration, the world tree of said realm isn''t getting enough mana to sustain its self. But that''s was just a problem of the roots of the realm tree, the higher one looks the more condensed and pure mana could be seen. At the very top of the realm had such pure mana that it even rivaled the elemental realms. Hmmm... Focusing a bit the realm that was showing signs of mana dehydration slowly started to rise, as well as any other realms that showed signs. They stopped after reaching equilibrium with the surrounding mana around them. The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation. ? ? ? The mana within the mortal realm more then doubled while also becoming much more pure then the mana at the bottom of the roots. The celestial bodies that had no atmosphere were heavily effected by the pure, chaotic mana that thouched their surfaces. Specifically the smallest moon of Lori-el changed under the effects of the mana, becoming the first of its kind. It grew legs and arms while a face formed of rock appeared. The rocky skin of its body hardened until the rocks took on a shiny black coating. It gazed at Lori-el before walking off into the endless space before it. The races of Lori-el were also undergoing a change, the pure mana directly pushed them into a world that none within the mortal realm had taken for years, not since the?????? races descended. Their mana burst into rainbow colored flames that burned their bodies inside and out. Those weaker ones were burned to ash while those strong enough to resist took the first step into the ways of understanding the true laws of their realm, cultivation. Those hidden families that stayed hidden since ancient times finally stepped out of into the bright sun. Their time had finally come, the age of magic was quickly dying, and taking its place was the age of cultivation. The powers of Lori-el had a hard time staying in power, many of them fell from power while a few even grew in power. The Nylon empire, the angels who govern the sky, the shamanistic goblins who guard the bridge between their world and the elemental realms, the vampires under Yalin''s control, and finally, the death sage and his race of undead. Each faction took a step on the road to immortality! Chapter 38 Time used his domain to speed up the time of the realm. Before our eyes the world sprung to life, the races that we brought back seemed to thrive within their own realms. Each and every realm progress with unique cultures and reasearch, some realms ended up acquiring the ability to travel their realm while others learned how to travel between realms. It wasn''t hard to figure out how they split the races into six broad terms, humans, beastmen, angelic, demonic, undead, and then other. After this started to stick competitions started to form between the factions. Demons and angels started to attack on site, humans were labeled as the weakest individually but dangerous as a whole race, the rate at which they gave birth to more humans was shocking even when they have such short lives. The factions within the other fought to see who would join the other five as supreme factions, it didn''t take very long before the elven race to join them. Their was just to many of them really, and that allowed them to specify in many different fields of reasearch. More and more realm wurms died giving birth to realms and now the surviving realm wurms have to roam the world for years hoping to collect enough energy to give birth to more realms. The realm tree really grew, its size no longer able to be measured using mortal measurements. The roots spread all over the place advoiding the wholes in their world releasing chaotic energy of an unrecognizable energy. The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. Lori-el ended up quickly assending the ranking system and reaching legendary, currently the races within spanned solar systems and their path towards immortality was quickly approaching. After an unkown amount of time it finally transcended mortal limits rising from the roots to the branches on the realm tree. The door to immortality was now open to its races, but immortality wasn''t something easy to achieve. Out of all of its races only a few people stepped into immortality... The emperor of the Nylon faction, the daughter of Elizabeth and Lux, Pandora, the high shaman of the Goblin continent, the queen of blood, the leader of the vampires in the dark elf race, the ruler of death, the death sage, and suprisingly the oracle of the moon, one of the last living moon elves. With the rise of the first ?????? realm Yalin took her chance to escape, her soul rushed into her shrunken body and her eyes opened. A surge of energy burst from her body burning the surrounding realms. The statues containing her will all changes, now the statues depicted Yalin standing on the peak of a mountain her mouth open, ready to release a roar of flames, her eyes seemed to absorb the surrounding light causing a dark mist to hide most of her statues. Born from the remains of realms shattered by Yalin''s wake, the first Abyssal demons rose from the death and destruction. Their motives were unclear and it was plain as day that Yalin had no control over them, infact they were not born from her power but indirectly by the death and a young realm close too a gaping whole of their world. What the Abyssal demons entaled for their world was yet to be determined. Chapter 39 *Edited* "What is my purpose, why have I''ve been given such strength... Why do such thoughts occupy my time when I should be focusing on growing..." Thoughts like these started to become a daily occurrence, each day seems to cause her to think more and more about her purpose. "And then theirs that, what makes me classify as a ''her''?" She didn''t know what to make of these thoughts so she just pushed them to the back of her mind and focused on growing, becoming more power. ? ? ? "What. Have. You''ve. DONE!" "What any good person would do...I gave the world a fighting chance." Dr. Green was currently looking at his boss, although he never said who he works for it wasn''t that hard to figure it out. "Reverse what you did, reload an old save or something!" "Oh no! I can''t do that, you see when I was making this world I did the same for all my other worlds..." Dr. Green statement made his boss freeze befote a look of horror slowly surfaced. Dr. Green seemed please and he continued his speach. "I went all in, this world isn''t some simulation for your consumers can have fun, no, this is a living--breathing--world!" Dr. Green''s appearance started to change, his height shrunk to that of a small child and his cloths changed into some kind of dark blue pajamas. His eyes seemed to hold the universe behind them as they sparkled unnaturally, his hair became a sparkling silver. His face was covered in a mysterious fog that hid his face from mortals. "Now if you excuse me, I need some rest..." His voice was no longer that of Dr. Green but the voice of a child. Standing before the frozen group of idiots was a god, a true god. His name has long since been lost to mortals but to every one else his name could cause even other gods to look the other way.Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. "You see, I was getting tired of being the only true god who''s still active today, so I created two new...true gods... The first...well you see, she doesn''t have a name last time I checked but her domain is balance and order... The other, well, she''s been hiding in the very first test world, her domain is pure chaos and Madness, not all too suprising given her current state of mind." His voice was calm, like the gentle sea breeze on a calm summer morning, but it didn''t fit thr picture, a small boy talking of such terrifying things. With those words his figure faded into the air and the employees of the company started to panick. They had unkonwingly unleased two something they couldn''t even begin to comprehend. ? ? ? The god of Chaos and Madness started off as the darkness from the very first test world. When he added the flame it actually started to push her back until the world was divided between the two. But she spiraled into madness and started to destroy everything, even her darkness just to rid the world of the flame. And she succeeded...but in the process she changed, becoming the embodiment of all that was death and pure chaos. She was hiding in this world because she could sense another god just outside of it, one so strong that she was truly afraid. So she waited until the god went away. That was her chance of freedom... And when it came she left her world and showed up in a room with a bunch of weird blinking screens and beeping boxes. Her brain told her that this was the technology of this world but she could care less. She just wanted to destroy everything before her, so...she did. She was but a small sphere of ever consuming chaos, a black ink substance that when thouching another substance will slowly devour the substance to create more of itself. Deep within the inky substance was a small black gem whit cracks all along its surface, the black substance originated from the inside of the gem. ? ? ? "I understand now..." The words of Bell echoed in her mind, it answered all her questions but also added many more to be unasnwered. There a subtle changes occurred inside, she could feel her soul changing, taking on the domains of order and balance, truly accepting those domains as part of herself. She could feel the destruction of a world that was so close to her own. She could feel another god destroying the world, devouring it whole, not caring for the billions of lives that she would kill. So...she reached out, using her new found power she reached a root into the world and connected both worlds through the root. She could see the chaos, the destruction...the madness. On the other side of the connection she witness the complete destruction of the world. Her focus was on the inhabitants of this world. She reached out towards them and connected to all the surviving inhabitants of this world, the name that seemed to come to her mind just by the very thought. Earth... Using her power she surrounded the souls of the humans of this world and brought them into her domain. She found a small realm called Terran that would fit them, the only inhabitants were snow elves that lived at the peak of mountain tops. She could create new bodies for them be she decided against doing so, she wanted to see what would happen if a race of souls inhabited one of her realms. Their old world was already destroyed, but she gave them a chance to start fresh in a new world... World Events Dungeons, moster dens, lairs, what ever you want to call it these places are breeding grounds for monsters. No one knows why but once these places form they can be destroyed, just the ground around it attracts monsters to inhabit the place. Even though they''ve been around for many years there is still a lot we don''t know about it. But currently there is a theory going around on classifying the difficulty level of these dungeons. A new born dungeon only has the ability to attract weaker mobs, so just and plain old F adventurer can handle these dungeons. But then this is where the theory starts to just become a theory. It is believed that the longer a dungeon exsists then the stronger the monsters it contains and attracts. One example of this would be the dungeon beneath the capital of the elven kingdom far to the north, their ancestors chose to settle on top of a new born dungeon and ever since they''ve had a sort of symbiotic relationship with the dungeon. They help it grow while they benefit from the resources found within. No one knows why older dungeons have this effect, currently no one has even reached the end of a dungeon so all we can do is assume what''s at the end of a dungeon. ? ? ?The author''s tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. "Is this truly it..." The last too remaining soldiers of a kingdom''s army was standing before a humongous stone door, mysterious runes were carved into the door and as they stepped close a soft blue glow were released from the runes. "What the-" The stone doors started to opened and on the other side a giant room could be seen. It looked like a throne room but before the throne was a giant, three headed wolf with dark golden fur. As the two stepped in cautiously the monsters opened its rose gold eyes. "So...someone has finally made it to the end of my lair..." Its voice sounded aloof as it echoed within the throne room. It slowly stood up and started walking towards them, as it was preparing to end their lives it suddenly stopped. "Actually, you two will do good spreading the knowledge you have learned today..." And like that the two surviving soldiers were sprawled at the entrance of the dungeon, already a group of knights were surrounding the two and questioning who they were. It''s been years sence the army set out into the dungeon and most people presumed they all died. So when news that two had survived and had reached the end of a dungeon news spread far and wide, knowledge and a godlike monster inhabiting the last room of the dungeon caused many kingdoms to fear their own dungeons. While some even out rite ordered their armies to completely wipe out their new born dungeons for fear of a god like monster forming within the depths of the dungeon. The elves who sat right on top of a dungeon had a different idea in mind. They tripled their efforts to reach the bottem of their dungeon, and even their queen left to go meet this god like figure in hopes of truly forming a pact between their people and this dungeon. Chapter 40 Creation of a System A Troubled Child

Pandora was always the intelligent one, some would even say the best of the best ever since she was young, when she could still enjoy the embrace of her two parents and the protection they provided. But all good things must come to an end, her parents had long since passed, they were already on their deathbed when cultivation became a thing. Now she was all alone forced to take her parent''s position as the ruler of her race. But that was many years ago, too long to even count, now the world was much more diverse, there were your cultivators and mages, but also other forms of magic like the goblins shamans who combined cultivation and elementals, taking in elementals as part of their souls and fusing into one. Elemental Spirits as they''ve come to call them, each spirit has different abilities leading to most shamans being very diverse, except for a few families. They''ve even evolved away from their dirty disgusting goblin cousins into a self-dubbed superior race, they call themselves the Noi. A mix between their goblin past selves and humanoid current selves. They''re the Nylon''s, they''ve never forsaken their ancient religion, still believing ice dragons to be gods among gods. But with the awakening of ancient dragon sub-species sects broke off worshiping specific dragons. They''ve even tied themselves closer to dragonkind, even going so far as the change their system to fit them better. Their system involved their dragon blood and dragon gods, their gods would bless them and they would slowly turn into the noble dragons themselves to serve them, but they could not keep the form for long. The humans were under the sanction of the 5 great immortal sects, each one representing an elemental affinity with a close connection to their respective elemental realms. The elves on the other hand almost completely vanished, it was odd but for someone of her standing she knew exactly the reason. They kept to their Forest Realms and completely cut off contact with all but the great factions. It was hard to say exactly what magic system they''ve adopted but intel suggests an even more primal and naturalistic magic when compared to the goblins turned Noi. From what she could tell such magic severely damaged them in ways even the divine cant fix. She believes this is why they choose to hide. The undead were the opposite, their ruler still holds a grudge for the living but it does not blind him. He took the position of Undead Emperor and started to lead the undead into some sort of barbaric civilization. They grew off of death and destruction so they would be ever so thankful to participate in any wars. They became mercenaries and they were good at it too, but that didn''t stop most races from banning their manpower, anytime they got involved both sides would lose too much and quickly go extinct, joining the ranks of the undead.Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere. And lastly their kind, as angles born from the very blood of two Divines they were a unique bunch. Their beauty surpassing that of most elven kind and their magic not too far behind. They did not embrace cultivation like most thought they should but kept true to themselves. Their strength came from their divine blood, so they strengthened that connection, deepened it to a whole new level. They evolved with their blood and already they had a sprawling system of their own with a multitude of paths to take. As the ruler she forged a path of her own only she could take, already she was a Celestial Arch Angle, her six wings represented her understanding of Heavenly Dao, each being representing a Dao she understood. The demons too kept their old system but with a few tweaks, they fused a greater Heavenly Dao into their twisted bloodline, forming a new Dao they called the Dao of Oaths. Any and all who swore Oaths to the Realm Tree would fall into their grimy hands, and as such, they were able to keep up with the angels. But the chaos they cause always seemed to give her the worst of headaches. "If only their kind could just disappear..." Recently they have been a lot more brazen with their deals, already they have gambled and won many realms and added them to their faction. At this point, they''ll soon break the balance of the world. "If only mother and father were here to help..." Pandora was all alone within the great temple of Heavens Wrath, a duel religion worshiping both Eros and Wisp as their patron Diety. "If the balance is really thrown off then I have no choice but to use that to keep the balance..." Her gaze focused on an unassuming crystallized drop of liquid, a memory popped into her head of a day-long past. ? ? ? "Pandora, you will soon take over our place as ruler, if ever comes a time when the fragile balance between the great factions were ever to be threatened then it is up to you to fix it..." Tears welled up and a young Pandora hugged tightly onto her parents, gone was the aloof aura of the mature Queen. "Don''t say that I''ve heard in the human realms that a new system has resurfaced, it''s able to prolong life and even few can become immortal." Lux and Elizabeth gazed at their daughter and sighed, their time has already long passed and all that was keeping them from returning to the embrace of the Realm Tree was their very stubborn daughter before them. "Now is not the time sweat heart," her mother''s gentle voice resounded through the white space that surrounded them, already she had forgotten what it looked like back then. "Just promise me you¡¯ll remember..." ? ? ? "I promise..." Within her mind, a voice both familiar and unfamiliar echoed, a much more childish voice than her own. Chapter 41 Slumbering Giants

She gazed upon the world she was given, a world full of color and life, but to her, she couldn''t help but feel how it all felt so... chaotic. Something deep within urged her to fix it, to bring balance and order to her unstable world but she had no idea even where to start, especially without breaking the already fragile balance that held together her world of chaos. "The six factions aren''t enough, their reach is too short and their views are too biased, if I am to bring balance then I will have to personally step in..." Once the idea wormed its way into her roots she couldn''t push it away, the feeling inside her only grew in power the more she tried, her domains willed her to fix what she was aware of and there was no way to go against them, not yet anyway. ? ? ? The legendary City of Titan, where the slumbering Titans hid away from the world, long have they lost contact with the outside, unknown of how greatly the world changed. Deep within their towering walls sat the tallest of titans, and next to him slept a slumbering giant of emerald green scales. The dragons who lived within the City of Titan have long since changed from their Earthen brethren, their murky brown scaled turned a rich emerald green, and their power ever so slightly changed to a sub-element, life. Their role in the functioning of the city was almost as big as the Titans themselves played, so it wasn''t surprising to the Titans when their elders have decreed them equal in both power and standing. But they also experimented with a new form of magic not known to them, soul magic. They weaved their souls together in a way the outside world would consider impossible only made possible by the strength and enormity of a Titan''s soul, with their souls bonded their minds were one and so too was their strength. They relied on each other but still it was rare for both Titan and Guardian to approve of the other meaning there weren''t many bonded Titans. "Flora, do you too often wonder of what the world outside our walls?" Like any other day the young king TItan would ask his bonded questions of the outside world, Guardians had the only authority to leave the walls for food but only when they were old enough. Guardians gained strength with age and when one reached the age of 60, when one would be considered an adult, they gain a unique aura that let them blend into nature itself. Guardians were named after what they entailed from their city, they were a line of defense, they would be the first to know about any outsiders trying to make their way in, and following protocol would quickly confuse the other party, make it hard for them to reach the summit and bend nature in a way that without the other party knowing they would end of right back where they started. It was how they were able to keep themselves hidden even as the world grew in strength. "Rui, you may be the king but even you can not go against the laws or your elders, you are too young to be able to leave the walls but when you are old enough a kind is allowed to leave the safety of the walls once." Just like any other day she quickly shot down the young king''s thought of leaving the city. "But why must I wait, I''m already strong enough to bond with you, and everyone knows you are the purest of blood when it comes to your people." Every Guardian has one common ancestor, the first of their kind and later ancient mother, ancient dragons are rare for one to be called such they would have to be the first of their kind. And Flora here was the purest of blood and one of the last if not the last of her pure bloodline, after all when a dragon is ready to bear children they leave the walls and under the safety of nature itself find a suitable spouse.Unauthorized content usage: if you discover this narrative on Amazon, report the violation. "That means nothing Rui, my people''s ancient and your elders from a long time past decreed the law to never step beyond the walls. It was only after many generations that some elders thought it was necessary for a king to leave the walls to explore the outside-" "And aren''t I the king, why can''t I go explore then?" Flora seemed to hesitate, she knew Rui''s fascination with the outside almost if not better than Rui knew himself. It wasn''t rare for kings to act as such but Rui seemed unique in a way, she could feel how the outside seemed to call to him. "Just calm down, your time is almost here, on your 40th birthday is when you become an adult Titan, it is then where you can wander the greater world." She could feel his excitement and impatience, so she thought it was better not to ruin the mood by saying just once. ? ? ? The time quickly came when they could leave the safety of the walls and that''s exactly what they did, after many generations of knowledge passed down, the walls have been engraved and then re-engraved every few generations. With each new engraving, the system has become more complex and as such allowing more and more to be added into the great web of runes. When Rui passed the walls on the back of Flora he felt a burning sensation deep within his blood, it urged him to turn around but that only lasted for a few seconds before the feeling was overwhelmed by a strong sense of majesty. He knew it was the royal bloodline that let him resist the burning sensation, at it was it given right to leave the walls. Rui didn''t want to hide from the world while he explored, he wanted to experience everything he possibly could in his short amount of time so ignored Flora''s warnings and begged her to go explore the capital worlds of each great faction. The Noi had long since left this planet after they found a planet that almost begged them to move. They were made aware of such as they were possibly the only race to ever be allowed to converse with Guardians, and only because of their love for nature, even if it was not exactly the same as them. They flew across the human''s worlds baffled by the number of them, Titans were but an ant compared to their population. The beastman faction was close too the humans so they got to see them next, they saw the dragonkin and their weird obsession with dragons as well as the hidden elven faction, who called out to Flora through her connection to nature. The elves were a weird bunch, they seemed to have a greater connection to nature than Flora but I found it hard to believe even after it came out of her mouth. While on our way to the Angelic faction we stumbled upon the undead battling against some demons, the undead didn''t take too kindly to the aura Flora gave off and even chased after us for a few days which I found hilarious but Flora not so much. Without even knowing it 5 years had gone by and my time limit was 8 years, we reached the capital planet of the angle race only to be amazed by their beauty, everything was picturesque, their architecture, magic system, somehow even the air on their planet seemed fresher. They couldn''t stay long however as it would take at least a year and a half of nonstop flight to return back home so just like they came they suddenly disappeared. Or, at least thats what they thought, without knowing their little pitstop to the dragonkin hard set off storms among their civilizations, after years of deciding what to do they labeled Flora as some sort of misguided child who was taken away from her kind. Their propaganda seemed to work wonders in their race and they quickly set up an army to capture them. Just a could more months away from returning they were ambushed by them, they were unprepared, in all their traveling they never ran into something like this. The greed they had in their eyes towards Flora burned into Rui''s mind, Flora tried to tell him something but everything just seemed to blur. His blood burned and his rage slowly built up until he couldn''t handle it. Flora seemed to know exactly what was happening within his blood and Rui himself had her legends of such things happening leading to the founding of their city. Rui gave into the rage, he didn''t see any other way they would escape from the ambush and Flora called out to him to stop before it was too late. "Screw this, just killed the dragon and take her blood, who said we would need it alive anyway." The general seemed to gnashed out those words, him being a fanatic himself told him it was blaspheme to hurt let alone kill a Nobel dragon but to him, it was the only way. Rui was quickly overwhelmed by his blood and Flora was left to fight alone, but she couldn''t do much when she also had to worry about protecting Rui. The fight lasted for days it was a chase with Flora being the chased. But even still her energy faded, Rui, woke up only to see Flora mangled and being dragged away, Flora having hidden him within a pile of rocks on a dead planet. With the pain brought by his blood and the sight of his bonds on the verge of death... he snapped
