《Happy Facility: Origins》 Chapter 0: End/Beginning The earth glows as a new day arrives, the day of reckoning has arrived for those on earth. In orbit lay a ship holding the planet''s future in the helms of it. The depths of this ship were silent and empty, clean and barren; not a single life could be found, nor a voice could be heard. All except the fate of the world between men, one of machines and the other of madness. They stared at one another, a history of brotherhood within both sets of eyes, and that of hatred. This state was followed by words of empathy and pity, those words were left in silence. They were silent after which, you could hear a faint sound of a machine down below, it was a mix of creaks and ticks as the time passed, it could barely be heard by both men, but both heard it. This signalled a different objective for both men, if the ticking stopped one of them would fall. ¡°Micheal, mustn''t stop me.¡± ¡°You are desperate to rid them of this world aren¡¯t you Robert,¡± says Micheal. ¡°The influence still harbors within you, even now you can¡¯t see the folly of them, of PRIME,¡± exclaimed Robert. ¡°It''s either you or me Micheal, and I wish not to rid you of this world yet.¡± ¡°Your descent into madness vexes even me Robert, says Micheal. ¡° Your blindness in this impossible quest has made you cold. What will killing millions do to rid you of that burden that you hold deep in your heart?¡± ¡°I¡¯m not killing anyone,¡± says Robert. ¡°I¡¯m simply riding this world of the influence that PRIME brought.¡±If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. ¡°What will that accomplish,¡± yells Micheal! ¡°They brought peace and grace, you wish to take that from us. Twist it to your own means of pow--¡± Both noticed one difference in the room, the faint creaks and ticks had stopped. Silence filled the room. ¡°It¡¯s ready,¡±says Robert in a bleaker tone. ¡°NOOO,¡± yells Micheal. Micheal then lunges at Robert at a rapid pace, being enhanced by exo armor it improved his speed and strength by an unsaid amount. Micheal then goes in for a punch, hitting Robert square in the face, causing a shockwave across the room. This attack was to no avail. Robert wasn''t phased by it in the least. Robert smiles, then retorts with an even faster uppercut to Micheals lower jaw, sending Micheal flying through the air with such force that it shattered the helmet of the exo suit and some of the rooms plating. ¡°It¡¯s useless Micheal. I¡¯m giving you one more chance to join me, before it¡¯s too late,¡± says Robert. Micheal, barely able to stand, attempts another attack with arms, attempting another punch. A crack echoes through the room, Micheals arm along with the exo armor and his bones were shattered. Roberts approaches the pained Micheal, picking him up by his throat. ¡°You cry out for death, maybe if you¡¯d joined he would¡¯ve heeded your call. Now you can witness the fall of PRIME, just like you wanted and so have I,¡± says Robert. The entire station began to shake and rumble. The quiet room was filled with sounds of harsh noise that would make your ears ring. Robert turns with Micheal¡¯s throat in hand and slams the broken Micheal up against the glass wall; forcing him to watch in despair as the weapon launches. All the pain Micheal felt was overwhelmed with an intense, furious sense of dread of what was to come. Both he and Robert knew this would be the end of an era and the beginning of another. Chapter 1.1: The Recorder Chapter 1.1: The Recorder Hello, my name is Micheal and I am a recorder for the California unit. I attend work every week day and have two days off, that being the weekends. I know you knew that, but sometimes people can forget they have weekends. A lot of people ask what I do for as a recorder, well that¡¯s simple. I record data of all new things coming from the California unit. What does the California unit do? Well they create new weapon tech for PRIME, mainly used against the others that rebel against PRIME. I always ask why you would rebel against your own government when they always guarantee a living to the people below them. Those people are dumb. I don¡¯t like those people. Any ways I¡¯m talking with you in my head to pass the time until the shift ends. Yes I like my job, but I have no one to talk to and I have no friends of any kind. The others think I¡¯m weird and boring with the way I live and work. Maybe that¡¯s why they don¡¯t hangout with me and aren¡¯t friends with me. I don¡¯t care if you don¡¯t want to be my friend, I¡¯m just glad I have someone to talk to, even if you¡¯re in my head. All that means is the others can¡¯t eavesdrop on us talking. Oh look, it¡¯s five, time to head home. Micheal gathers his things from his workspace, his empty canteen, his lunch box with stained tupperware from lunch, and his keychain with various assortments of keys for his job and to his house. He didn¡¯t own a car, mainly because he couldn¡¯t afford one with the prices nowadays. He rationalized it in his that he didn¡¯t need a car because his apartment was close enough, he also liked the walks home and his thoughts within. He exited the office building, waving goodbye to his fellow coworkers and began his walk home.Support the author by searching for the original publication of this novel. Throughout the walk he thought about the food he had for lunch, that being bacon bean soup with a side of rice that he could mix in and his newest assignment to be set up the following day, that being the prototype test for a new model of jet called Bladewings. He only knew the basic information on it, like that it is a prototype, it uses a new fusion engine, and that if it worked it would be faster than any other jet across PRIME. Usually when thinking about his day Micheal trails his mind to the scenery around him as he walks home, the cracked sidewalk that he walked on, the tree leaves that glided in the wind, but also the sound of cars flashing by. He didn¡¯t think about much when he walked, only the destination he would arrive at. A few minutes later he arrived at his complex, living in apartment number 425, the door marking the number and the apartments each having a black screen door and the door behind that being a dull gray. He unlocked both doors and entered, tile is the first thing you¡¯d see when opening the door, then following that was dry brown carpet; part of which is stained a deep black for Micheal had lived in this apartment for a few years. Those were the slow stains of dirt and filth that had built up when constantly entering and leaving the house for various reasons. The paint of his place was a clean white that spread throughout the apartment. He took off his shoes, placed them near the front door, he then placed his lunch box and papers down and went into his room to change into more casual clothes, that being a red shirt and sport shorts; while also removing his socks. Due to money constraints Micheal couldn¡¯t afford much in terms of furniture, so instead of a couch, he had a lawn chair to sit on. Across from that was a small platform to mount his old, but still capable TV. Micheal grabbed the remote and watched the news of the world in his own comfort, after which he would make buttered bread for dinner and go to sleep straight after that. This was because the Bladewing test was tomorrow and he was the one to test the piloting functions as a passenger in the jet itself.
