《Explosions/Shadows (Bakugo X Reader)》 chapter one Today was the day of the U.A. entrance exams. I was getting my sister Suga ready for school as I also got ready. ''''Come on Suga it''s time to go'''' I shout. ''''I''m coming I''m coming'''' she shouts as she runs downstairs. ''''Finally, let''s go I can''t be late today!'''' I say, ushering her out. I drop her off at her school and then I rush to U.A.. I was so excited, because today was the day of the U.A. entrance exams. My quirk is Shadow Charge. I can do almost anything with my shadows. ''''I''m gonna be late, I could use my quirk but I''m not supposed to use it in public, ugh what should I do?'''' I ask myself. "Ah screw it." I say to myself as I slip into the shadows and travel to U.A. Once I get to U.A.''s grounds I slip out of the shadows and start walking until I bump into someone. ''''Oof s-sorry'''' I say quickly as I look up at the person I bumped into. He had ashy blond spikey hair. ''''Watch where your going fucker!'''' he shouts. ''''I''m r-really s-sorry!'''' I say as I head towards the exam hall. I sit down beside a boy with red spikey hair. ''''Hi, I''m Eijiro Kirishima!'''' he says. ''''I''m Y/N L/N.'''' I say quietly. ''''Nice to meet you! Let''s be friends!'''' ''''Alright.'''' I say, smiling. ''''Hey, hand me your phone for a minute'''' he says. I grab my phone and hand it to him. He returns it about a minute later with his number in it. ''''This way if we don''t get in the same class we can still stay in touch, because I''m sure we''ll both get in!'''' he says, smiling. I should stop using my quirk though, when I over use my quirk it results in my body slipping to the shadows, or just me passing out. As I was thinking that I see someone stuck under some rubble. I instantly rush over there and go into the shadows, grab the boy, and pull him into the shadows as well. We travel a safe distance before I come up. After making sure the boy was ok I was about to go get some more points since there was only three minutes left but I take one step and suddenly I feel my body shut down. ''''Dammit, not now!'''' I hiss quietly as everything goes black. Bakugo''s POV ''''That makes sixty!'''' I shout. As I''m about to go and get more points, I see that girl from earlier save someone and then pass out. I go to catch her before she can hit the ground and that was time. I then take her to recovery girl''s office but slip out before she can wake up. I don''t need her knowing I helped her that damn shadow. I don''t even know why I helped her, I just wanted to for some reason. Y/N''s POV I wake up to find myself laying on a bed in a nurse''s office with a short old lady sitting in a rolling chair next to me. I sit up and look at her, ''''Um, can I leave now miss... uh...?'''' I ask awkwardly since I don''t know her name. ''''The name''s recovery girl and yes you can'''' ''''Ok thanks but how did I get here?'''' ''''Your blond spikey haired friend brought you and then left as soon as he layed you down'''' ''''Oh, ok well um thanks.'''' I say as I rush out and head towards Suga''s school. I get there, pick up Suga and we head home. Once we get home I walk in to make dinner and Suga looks at me. ''''So, did you make any friends?'''' she asks me. ''''Yea I did actually, I made a friend'''' I tell her. ''''Well, one is better than none'''' she says, now happy to know I''m actually making friends.''''I know you did great in the exam and that you''re going to get in.'''' she assures me. Editedon July 20th 2020 chapter two I woke up and looked at the clock, it was 11:00 AM which meant the mail had already run. I run outside and get the mail. There was a hologram of all might. I scream in excitement and text Kirishima. ''Hey guess what? I got in and I''m in class 1-A!'' ''Really?! No way, me too! This is gonna be awesome!'' ''Yea it is'' ''This is gonna be so manly!'' I put down my phone and decided to train. TIMESKIP TO NEXT DAY I wake up early to get ready for school and I check my phone. I had a text from Kirishima. ''Hey wanna walk to school together?'' ''Sure, where do you want to meet at?'' ''How about at the coffee shop'' ''Sure but I''m also gonna get some coffee. I''ll be there in twenty'' ''Yea coffee is so manly!'' After that I get up and start getting dressed, Suga was at a friend''s house so I didn''t have to worry about her today. I then head out to the coffee shop where I''m meeting up with Kirishima. Once I get to the coffee shop I walk in and order my F/F coffee and sit down, waiting on Kirishima. After like, ten minutes he walks in, orders, and sits with me. ''''Hey Y/N, I hope you don''t mind but two other people are walking with us too.'''' ''''Yea that''s fine'''' I say, forcing a smile. The truth is, that means more people I have to interact with. I sigh as I drink my F/C coffee and talk with Kirishima. After another ten minutes two other people walk in, one of them had short black hair, and the other had, to my dismay, ashy blond hair. They both walk over and the blond dude hisses at me. I shrink down in my seat. ''''We''ll be back, we''re gonna go order our coffee''s'''' the black hair boy says as he walks off with the blond yelling at him. I sigh as I watch them order, thinking of how he saved me when I passed out during the exam, but I don''t think he wants anyone - including me knowing, so I ain''t gonna say anything. This surprised me but I just nod. We then exchange numbers. I learned that the black haired guy is named Sero and the ashy blond haired guy that doesn''t seem to like me very much is named Bakugo. We then make a group chat and head off towards school. I stay quiet as the others talk, and it turns out all of us are in the same class. After hearing that I''m in the same class as Bakugo I almost slip into the shadows but Kirishima pulls me out. Bakugo''s POV I walk in the coffee shop with Sero. ''''I wonder who this other person that Kirishima was talking about is'''' but my questions was answered when I saw her, the fucker that bumped into me at the exam. It angered me that she was talking to shitty hair and I don''t know why, so I walk over there and hiss at them, which makes the fucker shrink down in her seat. "We''ll be back, we''re gonna go order our coffee''s'''' Sero says and I start yelling at him that he doesn''t tell me what to do. Once we finally get back since they were so slow Sero speaks up. ''''Hey we should all exchange numbers so we don''t have to go through other people anymore'''' duct tape says. ''''Yea that''d be manly!'''' shitty hair says. ''''Whatever idiots'''' I say. We then made a stupid group chat, and headed off towards school. We talk as we walk but Y/N just stays silent and tries to slip into the shadows before shitty hair pulls her out. I frown at that but shrug it off, since we''re walking into the classroom. As soon as we enter the classroom Y/N goes and sits in the back left corner of the room but I can''t allow that, so I walk towards her and look at her. ''''Nope, you''re apart of the squad now, you have to sit with us'''' I tell her as I pick her up and put her in the seat next to mine. I then proceed to bring her stuff to her. ''''U-uh t-thanks, I think'''' she says as I drop her stuff on her desk. I''m not gonna call her fucker no more we''re going with shadow now. Why did I just do that? As he says that I see them walk in and sit with us, shitty hair catches them up on what they missed and we do the fucking exchanging numbers thing again. Y/N''s POV I watch as two new people come up and sit with the Baku squad as they call it. One was pink and the other had yellow hair with a lighting bolt in his hair. ''''Who''s this? Is she the new addition Kirishima keeps talking about?'''' I hear Mina ask. I just stay quiet and shrink down in my seat. ''''Yea this is Y/N'''' I hear Bakugo say with venom in his voice which makes me shrink down even more, while I try to keep the tears in. ''''If you''re here to make friends I suggest you leave now'''' someone in a yellow sleeping bag says as he worms his way into the classroom. ''''I''m you teacher Aizawa, now put on your gym uniforms and meet me outside.'''' he says as holes open up to show our uniforms. I grab my uniform and head towards the changing rooms. ''''Hey! I''m Ukruka and your Y/N right?'''' a girl with brown hair says as she bounces up to me. ''''U-uh y-yea'''' I say as I turn towards her. ''''Nice to meet you'''' I say, forcing a smile. ''''Let''s be friends! Here''s my number.'''' she says, handing me a paper. ''''Yea ok thanks'''' I say. After that we all head out to the field. ''''Bakugo, what was your farthest throw in junior high?'''' Mr. Aizawa asks. ''''Um 706.5'''' Bakugo says. Or, at least I think that''s what he said. ''''Damn'''' I mumble under my breath. ''''Ok, well this time I want you to use your quirk'''' Bakugo nods and propels the ball with his explosions screaming ''''DIE!'''' ''''700.0 meters'''' Aizawa says. ''''Also, whoever gets last place will be expelled." ''''WHAT?!?!'''' we all shout. First up was the 50 meter dash and I was up against Midoria. I use my shadows to propel myself forward, while Midoria doesn''t use his quirk at all. After that we do a bunch of other stuff and then we do the ball throw. I use my shadow to propel the ball forwards. ''''700.5 meters'''' Aizawa says and I smile. chapter three Y/N''s POV It was finally time for lunch. I get my food and sit at a table alone, because, well... I''m used to being alone. As I begin to eat my food Bakugo walks over and I try not to scowl. ''''Why''re you sitting alone?'''' he asks me. ''''Because I have no friends, no one likes me, I''m used to being alone, shall I go on?'''' I ask him while looking at him with a serious face. He rolls his eyes ''''Well can I sit here?'''' I look surprised but just nod, and surprisingly he sits beside me. ''''Why are you being nice to me? You seem like you''ve hated me ever since I came here.'''' ''''Whatever, I don''t hate you'''' he says, rolling his eyes. I sigh and continue eating until the rest of the Baku squad joins us. Mina was smirking at me but I don''t know why. ''''So, are y''all a thing or something?'''' Mina asks still smirking. ''''W-what n-no I would never be with someone like him'''' I growl. ''''Fuck no'''' Bakugo shouts. Mina giggles. I look down at the ground. There were too many people around so I get up and start to walk off but Bakugo grabs my wrist. ''''Sit'''' ''''Why?'''' I ask, slightly confused. No one has ever even wanted to be around me. ''''Because fucking being alone isn''t good for you. Bakugo''s POV I saw a really rare all might figurine with a poster, I had to get it but the others can''t know about this so I''ll just go off on my own, buy it and come back. I look around in awe at the store but I go and buy that rare all might figurine and poster than go to find the others. ''''Hey guys'''' I say as I approach them. Y/N''s POV After hearing all that I walk off, I don''t know why I said I loved him, I mean it was true but why did I say anything? I can''t believe that he would treat me like that if he loved me. Tears run down my face as I head home, thankfully no one followed me. I can''t love him because once he finds out about my past he won''t even want to be near me anymore, which is why I am normally alone. I don''t want to risk having to tell him, or anyone the truth about my quirk. Tears run down my face as I slink down a dark alleyway. I look down at my hands, I''m supposed to be quirkless, once he finds out he won''t talk to me again. As I''m sitting there thinking I feel a hand cover my mouth. I struggle to get away but the person''s grip is too strong. I look up to see Shigaraki and Kurogiri. Shigaraki was the one that grabbed me and my eyes widen as Kurogiri opens up a portal. Then everything goes black. chapter four Y/N''s POV I wake up to find myself in a white room and my eyes widen as I realize where I am. The place from my past. Tears fall down my face as I stand up and look around. I sigh as I sit back down. I try to use my quirk but it doesn''t work. They must have used what they used to when they had me the first time. ''''I''m so glad you''re finally awake because it''s time to start the process of giving you another quirk.'''' a familiar voice says. ''''N-no p-please no more'''' I say, fear in my eyes. ''''Shut up'''' he says as he walks towards me. He grabs me and forces me down on a cold metal bed with straps on it. ''''Stop, please stop!'''' I shout as I struggle to get out. ''''I said shut up!'''' he growls as he turns on a machine. I was zapped and zapped again and again. I screamed an ear piercing scream until the world went black. Bakugo''s POV I stand there, not knowing what to do. I know I deserved that but it still hurts. I watch as she walks off and I start to go after her but shitty hair stops me. I sit in my room thinking about ways to get Y/N to like me. Y/N''s POV I wake up and look around. I was in a different room, this room was a quirk testing room. "Who should I start with first?" She asks, and silence fills the air, as the two glared at Toga. "Oh? No volunteers? Well I guess I''ll just choose." She looks at them and grins, "I think, I''ll start with you!" She says, walking over to Sero. She brings out one of her sharpest knives, with a huge grin on her face. She takes the knife and slowly starts to slide it down his leg, smirking when she sees him trying not to scream. She then grabbed a vial and let some blood drip into it for future use. "That''s a nice deep cut, but I think we should seal it up." She mutters, as she turns to look at Dabi. He thinks the hint and nods, walking over to Sero, who was kicking his legs around wildly. TIMESKIP TWO WEEKS LATER Aizawa was back in class, teaching, but was having to adjust to being blind. Bakugo was still in his room at his house, staring out the window. He hasn¡¯t eaten or slept in days. Kirishima and Denki had gone over there, and made him eat with the help of Shinso. The entire class 1-A didn¡¯t do much after hearing the news, so they finally gave the class a couple weeks off to grieve properly. Present Mic was still getting used to Aizawa having an artificial leg, and to being blind. He helped him of course, but he had to figure out the best way to help him. Aizawa decided it was time to retire from being a pro, and became a full time teacher, meaning he did get more sleep. chapter eighteen 3rd POV It was ten years later, everything had gone back to normal about a year after everything happened, well as normal as it could get. Y/N had disappeared off the grid, Bakugo had made it his goal to find her. He wanted to know why she did what she did. He wanted to see her face, just one more time. He still loved her, even after what she did, and he couldn¡¯t figure out why. Bakugo looked terrible though. He had bags under his eyes, he always had a tear stained face, his eyes were constantly red and puffy as well. Bakugo, Kirishima, Denki, Sero, and Mina had started an agency together and were always trying to find Y/N while doing other hero work. They fought villain after villain, always integrating them, hoping they knew something about Y/N, but unfortunately no one did. Aizawa was still teaching and had finally adjusted to life being blind. His students were just as troublesome as all his other classes. Present Mic had helped him set up a contraption so he could easily call for help if needed, since his quirk was useless. It was another normal day in the Baku-squad agency, and they were searching for Y/N, they haven¡¯t given up, even though it¡¯s been ten years, and there was still no sign of her. Y/N was sitting in front of me, but was swaying, she looked like she was about to collapse and she did. I caught her before she could hit the ground, and ran inside, yelling for the others. After ten years with no sign of her, she arrives at our doorstep. ¡°Is that¡­?¡± Raccoon eyes trail off, and I nod. ¡°Yea...it is¡­¡± I mutter, looking down, taking her hand in mine. I had missed the way her hand fit in mine, I had missed the way she looked when I held her hand. ¡°Shitty hair, get the restraints just in case.¡± I mumble, even through saying this killed me on the inside. He nodded and walked off, coming back a few minutes later with straps and quirk cancelling cuffs. We strapped her wrists and ankles down, so that if she was still evil, she couldn¡¯t escape, and put the cuff on one of her wrists. I bit my lip, waiting for her to wake up. ¡°Dunce face, get her some food, she looks really skinny, and it doesn¡¯t look healthy. ¡°Only if you eat as well.¡± He tries to bargain with me, and I growl. Knowing he wouldn¡¯t give in unless I did, since I barely ate as it is, I sighed. ¡°Fine.¡± I mutter, and he smiles, walking off. While dunce face was gone, Y/N had slowly opened her eyes, groaning. She tried to sit up, but groaned again, when she saw she couldn¡¯t. ¡°Y/N¡­?¡± I whisper. ¡°...Kat¡­?¡± She mutters, blinking. ¡°Yea.¡± I whisper, holding her hand tighter, and I felt her squeeze back, making me smile, making my heart skip a beat. ¡°I¡¯m...s-sorry¡­.I know nothing I can say will make up for it...I won¡¯t even bother with excuses, or tell you what was wrong with me, it won¡¯t change the fact that I did what I did, but please know I really am sorry¡­¡± She whispers, tears falling down her face. ¡°What was wrong with you? She sits up and nods, frowning. Y/N¡¯s POV ¡°What¡¯s wrong¡­?¡± Kat asks, me and I cup his face, tears streaming down my face, as I pull him into a kiss, kissing him passionately. ¡°I¡¯m sorry...I probably shouldn¡¯t have done that. You¡¯ve probably moved on¡­¡± I whisper, as I pull back. ¡°You''re wrong. I haven¡¯t moved on, I¡¯ve been searching for you this entire time...the past ten years has just been us five looking for you, while we fought weak ass villains.¡± He mutters, and I chuckle. ¡°Did you ever become the number one hero?¡± I ask, curiously. ¡°No, fucking Deku did...right now I¡¯m number two, but I still plan on surpassing him. Dunce face and shitty hair got married and so did duct tape and raccoon eyes through.¡± ¡°Really?¡± I ask, tilting my head and he nods. ¡°Good for them.¡± I smile. ¡°Would you consider going out with me again¡­?¡± He asks, blushing a bit. ¡°Yea¡­¡± I whisper, also blushing. ¡°I¡¯d like that a lot.¡± He smiles, hugging me tightly, sobbing. ¡°I missed you, don¡¯t ever disappear like that again!¡± He mumbles. I chuckle, rubbing his back, ¡°don¡¯t worry I won¡¯t.¡± I whisper, hugging him back. Denki came back with food for everyone and I smiled as I looked at my food, eating a small bite. I watch as Katsuki ate small bites as well, while the others ate normal sized bites. After we all finished eating, we hung out and talked, laughing for the rest of the day.
