《Stole My Heart》 Down the memory lane The date was 12 December 2020, my 24th birthday. I was on my way to the amusement park after receiving a text from my high school crush. I was a little surprised when he asked me to meet him at the park. I was hesitant at first, then I decided to go and see him. When I saw him it reminded me of the past. A past in which he meant a lot to me. The first day after spring break. [2014] I went to the class and sat in my seat. ¡°Hey, Krys!¡± I heard a voice behind me. ¡°What?¡± I asked. ¡°I found an interesting novel,¡± Eric replied. ¡°I am not interested, Eric!¡± I answered. ¡°Oh come on Krys,¡± Eric whined. ¡°Everyone back to your seats¡± called the teacher. ¡°Good morning, class¡± ¡°Good morning, Mrs. Brown¡± ¡°So, class did you enjoy your holidays?¡± asked Mrs. Brown. ¡°Yes!!¡± everyone replied. ¡°Good. Now hand in your holiday assignments¡± ¡°Oh goodness, I forgot to do it¡± whispered Eric. ¡°Chris, please collect the assignments,¡± she asked Chris. Chris was a model student and the crush of almost every girl. Including me. For me, we have known each other since kindergarten. We went to the same middle school. I started liking him. Even though, we are neighbors he rarely talks to me, maybe for him, I wasn¡¯t that important, ¡°Krys, I need a little help here,¡± whispered Eric. This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author''s work.¡°Krystal!!¡± Chris gently knocked on my table. ¡°Where is your assignment?¡± Chris asked. ¡°Oh, just a second.¡± I turned back to take the assignment from my backpack. ¡°Assignment...¡± Eric whispered to me. ¡°Huh?¡± ¡°What¡¯s wrong with you, Eric?¡± I asked. ¡°Here,¡± I handed my assignment to Chris. ¡°Where is yours, Eric?¡± asked Chris. ¡°What¡¯s wrong, Chris?¡± asked Mrs. Brown. ¡°I forgot my backpack in my Dad¡¯s car. He is out of town,¡± answered Eric. ¡°Oh really? Then what¡¯s that?¡± Mrs. Brown asked pointing at the backpack on his chair. ¡°I was doing the assignment last night and I got sick,¡± Eric replied. ¡°I gave it before spring break, Eric,¡± said Mrs. Brown ¡°A close relative of mine died, so I forgot to do the assignment,¡± Eric answered. ¡°Oh, is that so? Out!¡± Mrs. Brown pointed at the door. ¡°But my relative died.¡± Eric loathed. ¡°Out¡± ¡°But...¡± ¡°Eric!¡± ¡°Oh,¡± Eric said while going out of the class. The bell rang indicating the end of the class. ¡°Eric, come to the principal¡¯s office with me,¡± said Mrs. Brown. ¡°I am sorry, I will submit it by tomorrow.¡± Said Eric. ¡°Are you sure?¡± asked Mrs. Brown. ¡°Yes. I promise.¡± Said Eric. ¡°I¡¯m letting you go for the last time.¡± Warned Mrs. Brown. ¡°Thanks Mrs. Brown.¡± Eric thanked her and left.
