In the North there is a country called Nevesena. This country is located in a cold place, where it starts snowing during fall and spring. And once winter starts water begins to freeze, while their summer feels like fall there is no heat. Despite that climate they boast about their great defensive battle, it was once said that no one has broken their defense for 500 years. In the South it is Helenzane. It is the polar opposite of Nevesena; it has a very hot climate most of the year. This country focuses more on weapon/technology production such as swords, armor, etc. And since they focus more on production naturally meaning high quality weapons, creating a strong military weapon. In the West there is Saint Divinity. The country is more focused toward religious beliefs, for example on how the world''s magic ability is granted by the God¡¯s. Kinda like during the medieval ages, where the people rule with religion, and people will follow them 100%. In the East, where Alvis and the others are, the country is called Magenology. Its focus is on the magic ability development, in Saint Divinity they power their magic power mostly through natural way, in Magenology they would create ways to power up ways that are unorthodox to Saint Divinity. And in the center of all these 4 is the Neutral Land. This place is popular with merchants around the world looking for opportunities to do business and gain wealth. And the most well known part of Neutral Land is the Wisdom Academy where all the young generation from Vian continents comes and study. At 11:00 PM I went back to his room to sleep. *** 6:00 AM Alvis went to the Isbert training room. The training yard can be used by the servant and hired soldier. They can also build their own army but the amount is smaller than the First Class noble. And their army must contribute fully to the country. The fourth top are Third Class nobles who are more towards fame. Like famous merchants, researchers, etc. And at the bottom are the citizens which are commonors and servants. First Class Isbert is in charge of the east which is near the Neutral Country. Because of this information Alvis can easily tell that Charlotte Isbert is someone important. Right now Charlotte is the only child she might be the successor of the Isbert house. And while they were still exploring Charlotte bumped into a person. And the person was carrying some bag of powder, when they bump into him the powder spread to Charlotte. Since Alvis was close to Charlotte it affected him also. (Is it some sort of sleep powder?) At this moment, the sound of walking was made in the jail cell Alvis and Charlotte in. A man with his face covered with a black cloth and the way he dressed like someone of a bandit walked toward the jail cell, ¡°Oh the brat¡¯s awake.¡± And the voice he transmitted was deep and sounded like a middle aged man. ¡°What do you want from us?¡± ¡°Do you think I will tell you?¡± Alvis was unable to respond to that. ¡°Well you are gonna be staying here for a while or maybe quite a long time.¡± The middle aged man left in a very good mood. nnn~ Alvis heard Charlotte making noise, and he turned around assuming she was about to wake up. Alvis started to look around the place he was trapped in. From the look around him it was basically just a prison that looks like those in the movies and images, but more old. Cracks were on the wall, tiny enough for the sunlight to get in. And the very top of the was a window with bars. (That window might helpful) Alvis shifted away from the viewpoint and looked toward the bar door. He could see one of the guards also covering his face with a black cloth. Alvis started to approach them, ¡°Hey, would you mind me asking a few questions?¡± ¡°....¡± ¡°Hello?¡± ¡°Hello?¡± ¡°Hey!¡± The guards look towards him with menacing eyes, ¡°Shut up.¡± Just from the look Alvis got chills just from those eyes who looked backed. (Looks like interaction would even be hard, let alone negotiations) *** Meanwhile, the middle aged man that spoke to Alvis came out from a tiny house. That was where Alvis and Charlotte were being kept. He took out a stone tablet, ¡°Lord Isaac and Sir Mason everything proceeds accordingly.¡± Isaac''s voice came out, ¡°Good, continue what you were doing.¡± *** In the mansion, Isaac and Mason were sitting in the diner¡¯s room. While Mason who was standing behind Isaac showed no trace of any emotion. It was as if he knew everything. But he had solid will in continuing it. ¡°Alright let''s do this!¡± in a whisper voice. Chapter 9 Alvis created a small dagger from right hand and with his left hand held a cup hiding behind him. He started using the small dagger to start breaking the prison bar on the right side. While the left stands the guard. The guard heard the sound that was made from Alvis and looked towards him. Who was using a smaller dagger to somehow break the bar. He looks toward Alvis and hesitates for a second. (Where did the dagger come from? And is this kid an idiot for using such a low trick?) But still the guard walked towards the place where Alvis was using his dagger. Because he thought he still had to fulfill his mission as a basic guard. The guard started to walk toward Alvis. For Alvis each footstep and second felt like eternity, he is beginning to feel nervous. After a few seconds the guard came face to face with Alvis looking down on him. ¡°What are you doing?¡± The cold voice came out of the guard''s voice. ¡°NOW!¡± Charlotte, who was sitting in the prison, stood up and quickly used her magic ability. And quickly ice came out from the ground beginning to freeze the guard. Just before the plan action started, Alvis was able to learn that Charlotte has the ability to create ice from thin air. He decided to put that ability in use, hoping that Charlotte won¡¯t mess up. But Charlotte exceeded his expectations because he only wanted her to stop the guard movement for a good few seconds. But he didn¡¯t expect her to freeze his whole body except for his head. Alvis quickly took for the guards black cloth that covered his face. And then both Alvis and Charlotte took out a black cloth exactly like the one the guard had. After with the cup Alvis open the lid and threw the entire powder at the guard face. Alvis and Charlotte were very confused about this situation. ¡°What do you mean phase 1 of the test?¡± Alvis said back confusingly. Mason then stepped up and quickly explained, ¡°This is merely a test or more like an introduction on what you were about to face later on. The whole kidnapping thing was to see how you Alvis were able to adapt to a certain situation.¡± ¡°Then what about lady Charlotte.¡± ¡°Lord Isaac specifically requested her to be in it.¡± Alvis was a little bit enraged by this because his father Mason didn¡¯t consider the human heart. However Alvis decided to suppress the curiosity, as he thinks this might be related to their family matters or personal matters. The reason Alvis came to this conclusion was because he never saw Charlotte''s mother. So he decided to suppress because he was inflicting a conflict between them. ¡°Are you going to participate in the phase 2 test?¡± Alvis asked even thought he might knew the answer because of the face Charlotte was making ¡°Yes.¡± At this point Alvis stopped using formality in his speech because he knew that Charlotte might be his teammate for the next phase. And Alvis believed that speaking formality might lead to them being more apart. Of course that is when they are alone, Mason, Isaac, and Austin are exceptions. However if they are in public that is a different case. After a while a carriage arrived. Alvis, Charlotte, Mason, and Isaac got inside the carriage. It is said that the servant must be in the same carriage prepared to serve them whenever time. However it is a different case if another noble needed another seat from it. At that point the servant must give up their seat due to the status difference, and the servant must sit in the front carriage where the horses are. Austin however has his own horse to ride, because the soldier would want to be at his most comfortable setting to be prepared for better conditions. The carriage is very quiet because no one is talking, however there is no awkwardness between them. However at this point the Alvis and Charlotte seem to forget someone. Inside the building where Alvis and Charlotte were kept in a cage. There was a guard sleeping while being frozen. After around 45 minute they arrived at the Isbert mansion. Alvis was dismissed from his duty today to allow to rest. Alvis went back to where lived and lied on his bed trying to digest what happened today. The fight against the guard actually took around ten to fifteen minute because of the caution each felt before the guard moved toward Alvis when he was breaking the bars with a dagger. Plus the time to travel back. Alvis mana stats increase from an E to E+ because of his content creation of sleep powder. And with Stamina E to E+ also. (Stamina? I didn''t do any endurance stuff when I was trapped.) Alvis started thinking about why it was raised. In the end he came to one possibility. (It is possible that stamina doesn¡¯t represent just body endurance and how long you can last. The stamina could also mean mental endurance) But Alvis also thought it only a day without food or water, so it would affect that much right? (Maybe it have something to do with that there is a enemy right outside that you have to keep your guards up) This reason he just came up with makes more sense. Because being cautious about the enemy while having no food and water, and constantly thinking of a way to escape is what made the stamina stat increase. Whatever is the case, Alvis believes he could¡¯ve done better. Due to his first time experiencing this stuff it restricted his mind, especially a part of his mind that was covered with fear. After thinking about it, I came up with a strategy that could¡¯ve saved less time. Like he could¡¯ve had Charlotte freeze the guard at the spot to stop the mobility and then he creates a long spear that stabs him faraway. That way he wouldn¡¯t have to bait the guards into coming toward him which decreases the risk. Or he would have created a bow and arrow to shoot the guard or create a dagger to throw at the guard. But the problem he doesn¡¯t know how to use it effectively (At the end the guard went easy on us) Because in Alvis point of view the guard didn¡¯t even use his ability on them. Alvis got up and dressed himself casually, since today he is off duty. What he is wearing is a white t-shirt and brown pants and shoes. It is currently the start of February and it''s been a month since he was transmigrated here and the training he did with Mason. In this world the four seasons are set differently where Alvis in his previous life lived. In January, February, and March in the Vian continent is Spring. April, May, and June is summer. And decided to get another portion as it wasn¡¯t filling for him. *** Alvis entered the training ground for the soldiers. And there were a lot of soldiers training themselves. It was the same training ground where Alvis trained with Mason. The training ground is also available to the servant because to serve their master in case of emergency the servants must know how to defend and fight. Alvis entered an area where there is training dummies. There were also a lot of soldiers training. Last time he used his ability to create a sword on the dummy he was able to discover that the sword weight, attack power, durability is significantly lower than the original. But he didn¡¯t know how much lower. To Alvis this was actually a problem because not understanding your ability can lead to death. To put it in a very simple way if you and a bear were to face off one another. You have a sword and you start to attack. The bear instantly breaks your sword, and at that point you¡¯re dead. However, if you knew the sword was very weak, you wouldn¡¯t start fighting the bear. (That''s a pretty bad example, kinda off¡­) Alvis grabbed a real sword from the barrel, and created one of his own swords with his ability. He went to a training dummy. Alvis lift the original sword up and slash it diagonally and make the training dummy split in half After that he went to another training dummy to test out his modeled sword. Slash Alvis carefully inspected it and compared it to the previous one with the original sword. He was able to find out the difference in attack power between the two. The modeled sword was only twenty percent of its original power. (Last time I was able to scratch on my father.) (Was his defense weak or did he go easy on me?) Alvis firmly believes that his father went easy on him. Alvis later went to test out the weight. The same result happens: the model sword is twenty percent of the original weight. After Alivs went to take a durability test. That is to say it took a long time to break the original sword. And the model sword is also twenty percent of the original. That was where Alvis duel against another soldier and where Mason trained him. However, no magic ability is allowed. In the third section the range area is for those who specialized in long range combat to practice their skills at. In the fourth section its more like a free space and training area is where soldiers work to increase their overall strength, eunderace, and stamina. Basically like a weight room. And it is also a place for soldiers to hone their skills. like swinging a sword. Or they just want to use their skills freely. In the fifth section is for new soldier to learn how to fight, learn technique and to build their foundation In the sixth section is where people use practice their magic ability and train their magic power stats In the seventh section is similar to the second section where dueling exists. However in the second section no magic ability is allowed in the duel. In this section you can fight freely with your magic. The last section is where soldiers or servants treat their injuries that they may have gotten. Each section isn¡¯t actually connected to each other, so that is why Alvis wasn¡¯t able to see all the sections last time. But now he was able to explore it all. (I didn¡¯t realize, but this is god damn big.) Chapter 12 To Alvis right now, he is lost on what to do. Even though he said he is going to get stronger, he doesn''t know what to do in order to achieve that. Just as Alvis is walking around thinking what he should do, he suddenly spotted a soldier who is training on his own with his spear. The current area Alvis is in, is the fourth section where there is free space. It was the soldier that Alvis couldn¡¯t beat last. Alvis decided to observe the soldier training. The more Alvis look the more enchanted it is. The movement of the spear, the movement of his body everything felt connected, not a single movement was wasted. Very simple and straightforward. (Spear¡­) (I can have him teach me the way of the spear!) To be exact Alvis actually wanted him to teach him how to do a spear throw. Even though the power won¡¯t be as much because of his ability, the spear throw can be enough to kill a deeply wounded enemy. Just as Alvis is about to run up to the soldier. (Is that some kind of magic?) Alvis was really confused about what he saw, as he was stuck pondering. (Woah, that was fast.) (I thought it was some kind of secret family technique that cannot be passed down to an outsider.) ¡°Let me introduce myself as we didn¡¯t have a chance last time. My name is Michael Lawnwood. I am a soldier with a rank of Commander who can command a thousand troop.¡± Each military rank also decides how many troops they can command. Chapter 14 (This is way different than the one I saw in the training area for Michael) Alvis decided to ask, ¡°Why does this have much more destructive power than the one you showed in the training area?¡± ¡°Ahh, that I was trying to control my power?¡± ¡°Control?¡± ¡°I want to keep the destructive power at the same level, while not leaving any traces.¡± ¡°I see.¡± Alvis thought about it and was able to guess his reasoning. (Probably to not leave any trace of battle, so if another enemy saw it they can discern his power or tell how recent the battle is which also exposes his location.) Alvis decided to not think about this anymore, and move on to other thoughts. (Something that connects to me¡­) For now, Alvis couldn¡¯t think of it. *** Alvis and Michael are on the way back to the training area. In the midst, Michael suddenly remembers something. ¡°Oh, yea Alvis you use the sword as your main weapon right?¡± ¡°Yea?¡± Michael pulls out a book. ¡°Heres a sword technique that you can learn¡± Alvis took it. [Destructive Sword] Just from the name of it, it already sounds strong. ¡°This looks very valuable¡­. Is it ok for me to have it?¡± Alvis looked very hesitant. The special part of this sword technique is that when an opponent blocks it or gets it they get hit with a sudden burst of power. This can surprise the opponent creating an opportunity. What interests Alvis is that the sword technique is powered by mana. And there is a technique in the book that shows you a mana control technique that is suitable for this Destructive Sword. (So in this world magic ability is not everything. Very interesting!) Alvis quickly tried the mana control said in the book. First Alvis has to find the mana core in order for it to work. As Alvis close his eye in a meditation pose, sank his consciousness into his body. According to Alvis years of the reading novel with cultivation novel included. It should be in the core of the body. (Huh? It not their) This is different than Alvis have expected. (If it is not there where could it be?) Alvis began to look around his body. Suddenly the bloodstream caught his attention. (There is a faint trace of mana!) (If I can follow the opposite route of the faint trace of mana, maybe I can find my core.) After that Alvis decided to go the opposite direction of where the mana is traveling. After a while, Alvis arrived at his lungs area. (This is where the mana is originating from) Alvis could see a white marble, the size of a baseball, at the very center of the lungs. (Why is it in the lung area?) After long thinking Alvis came to one conclusion because oxygen travels through our bloodstream due to the lung. So every time we breathe the white marble releases mana to our body, making us able to use magic ability that people have gotten. In the Destructive Sword, one must be able to control the releases of mana. So whenever the user swings it swords, and then suddenly releases it a large amount of mana it creates an explosive and burst attack. Now that Alvis was able to find the mana core, in the future where he uses the Destructive Sword he can quickly release mana to create an explosive attack. After Alvis was able to find his core he open his eyes and started analyzing the mana control technique. [Burst Mana Control] The book wants the user to stop the mana from flowing throughout the body. That way when releasing the mana it can generate an even greater explosive effect. (But wouldn¡¯t it affect the usage of magic ability? And wouldn¡¯t stopping the flow means holding in, so wouldn¡¯t that mean I might explode?) Alvis''s question was answered in the next line of the book. You would still be able to use magic ability because mana is already part of your body. Ever since magic ability and mana have appeared the world and human body have undergone changes to accept mana. So now the human body is mana itself. The mana core in the lungs is where mana is the densest because whenever someone breathes the mana around nature goes through their lung first. And even other parts of your body such as skin, muscle, hair, etc are absorbing mana. But the mana in the lungs is where it absorbs the most. And stopping the flow won¡¯t necessarily mean that the body will explode. In the book, it states that ¡°As long as the body is strong enough, holding in lots of mana won¡¯t be a problem.¡± and it also states, ¡°This is different than those strong magicians because even though these strong magicians have a larger amount of mana and a weak body. They didn¡¯t block the flow of mana, making the body easier to endure.¡± (Wow. The creator of this technique sure knows what the learner is thinking to reassure them.) Chapter 15 Alvis started to stop the follow of mana throughout his body. Alvis now won¡¯t have to worry about not being able to use magic ability because another part of his body absorbs mana making him able to use mana. After an hour Alvis was finally able to stop the flow of his mana. Now he wanted to try the burst release mana. But he was thinking about how can he test without knowing the Destructive Sword Technique. (Wait! First of all, do I need really know the Destructive Sword Technique? After all the Destructive Sword Technique is only used to maximize the effect.) (Would just pure punching work?) Alvis decided to quickly try it, but as a precaution, he decided to create a lot of regeneration potions that his father gave me before. Alvis quickly pulls out a regeneration potion he created beforehand. After drinking five bottles of them, Alvis''s hand was able to regenerate back to normal. (That was risky! I thought it had something to do with phase 2.) (But still what the hell is he trying to do with a kid that only nines years old! (Ahem* Physically¡­) Alvis just decided to ignore this letter and start focusing on the Destructive Sword Technique. Alvis himself has a strong foundation because of his father''s training. So learning this sword technique wouldn¡¯t much be a problem. The problem itself is mastering the Destructive Sword Technique. Alvis has no way of knowing how long it will take.
