《ISK 101: Introduction to Portal Fantasy》 CH.1: Change of Perspective ¡°I¡¯m going to be completely honest. I wish to exchange our lives. You give yours, and I give mine. As I am tired of this world and you are of yours, this switch may bring happiness to both of us.¡± ¡°I¡¯m tired of the constant planning. I¡¯m tired of having to fight. I¡¯m tired of this world. I want to. No. I need to get off this world.¡± ¡°I apologize, but I have looked through you and understand that you have grown tired of your uninteresting life. While I believe that such a routine lifestyle, like yours, is fit for me; as is your social isolation, which would allow me to smoothly integrate into your life; and in exchange I give you mine. As a secluded wizard, distanced from every major conflict. ¡°As for why I must explain, everything is for this transition to go smoothly, along with it being a basic courtesy of a summoner and lingering attachments may disrupt this transfer of¡ perspective. ¡°So, what do you say? Will you forfeit your life in exchange for a life of possibility and desire?¡± Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions. [I accept] ¡°You accept what exactly?¡± [I, forfeit my life in exchange for a life of possibility and desire] ¡°Then we have an accord. Thank you.¡± _______Transitioning line_______________________ Now what I just did is the one textbook example of what should never be done. However, should the opportunity present itself to you and you would have little regret for jumping ship, then go for it. Although it should be understood that you will not know for certain what is on the other side. Making it better if you''re suicidal, have nothing to lose, and or have no aspiration beyond not getting fucked over and would rather die than submit to the whims of another. Then, by all means, take the opportunity. Although there is a chance, a high chance that you¡¯ll end up suicidal, with nothing to lose, and with an additional aspiration to not get fucked over. The other hand there is a sweet chance of getting to do just about anything, plus magic. Or maybe not, overall it depends on the circumstances that you are brought into. Like if magic exists. But until then, we will actually start in the next chapter. Let¡¯s go. CH.2: Orientation Welcome to orientation. This chapter I will discourage you from reading beyond this chapter. As there are plenty of things here that will turn people away from just enjoying the portal fantasy genre. As I will explain many things to consider about this genre and if you were to be sent to another world. So if you want to enjoy this genre a little more or just found out about it, then consider reading this at another time. Which makes this my first warning out of three. My second warning retains how and more importantly why a person would be brought over to another world. With the simple answer being that every summoned entity is expendable, as that is the purpose of summoning an entity to solve a problem; but this problem can range from boredom to the fate of existence. This would make you expendable as well and it doesn''t matter what position or achievement¡¯s you have, as nothing will change the fact that you are expendable. Now my third warning is a genuine warning towards if you aspire to be sent to another world, but this warning is not to dissuade you from thinking about simple daydreams. But rather regards your safety for if you actually go to another world. Of course I cannot guarantee that you will, but existence is technically infinite and anything could happen; but all of this is mostly my opinion of understanding, so it might not matter at all. If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement. Naturally you may choose to not read the last warning and simply move to the next chapter and there would be no theoretical consequence at all. So if you chose to skip, let¡¯s begin on the next chapter. ¡ First warning. ¡ ¡ Second warning. ¡ ¡ ¡ Third warning and final warning. . . . . . You will have no plot armor and this is considered with fate in mind. As you are not a protagonist or at least not anymore, because I just explained to you that you¡¯ll have none. As protagonists are not aware of the plot armor that they have. Even if this armor comes in many different forms, fundamentally acknowledging the plot armor negates said armor. ¡°Then why did you tell me in the first place?¡± You might ask. Well it¡¯s to break away from fate. Which sounds crazy and is crazy, but if I were to explain more it might have a negative effect. Otherwise, that is all. Thank you for being here. Let¡¯s begin for real now.
