《Nice To Meet You Warrior!》 Chapter 1 - The Printed Article I know I had a great life in New York especially since I had a stable job there but I have to be with my mom. I used to live in Connecticut where I grew up with my parents, then when I graduated from College I tried my luck in the New York City Museum and got the job. It''s been my dream to work in the Museum since I was a kid. I am very much interested in our history, arts, artifacts, well all in all I am curious with everything, curious about the story behind all of these things and it''s very satisfying to know how it was way back then, it excites me. My parents never pressured me into what I want to do with my life. They encourage me to push myself to be involved in the things that make me happy, they are very supportive in everything I do and they always make me feel that whatever happened I got their back, that''s why I love them so much. I am the only daughter they have so as much as possible I will make them proud and happy in every success I could do. Unfortunately, my dad passed away earlier this year because of a heart disease. We were so sad to the point my mom had depression, except me she only had my dad and they love each other so much as cringe as it sounds but it''s real love between them. It was really painful for her but knowing mom, she''s a very strong woman but despite that personality, I still check on her. Months later she finally overcame the depression and slowly recovered from it but one day she just decided to move to Edinburgh where she grew up. Of course I don''t want her to live in some place that is far from where I stay so I tried to stop her at first but since she was really determined and I couldn''t change her mind, I just agreed. Yeah, it''s for the better and maybe she could recover more if she will live in her hometown but, I''m just really worried for her and I always overthink things so I am not sure if I can survive worrying about her, she''s the only one I have. Months after she moved to Edinburgh, I also decided to move there because I just couldn''t take it knowing mom is living in Edinburgh alone so I sacrificed my career in New York. It was such a hard decision for me, I''ve been working in the National Museum of New York for five years and I love my job there but I have to let it go for the peace of my mind. Well, I can use my experience to look for a job in the Museums of Scotland but it will not be easy. I was busy working in the National Museum of Scotland, making sure everything is in place, everything''s settled, everything''s ready for tomorrow''s event. There will be students from Portbello Highschool who will visit here for an exploration. I am excited and nervous at the same time because this will be my first event with the National Museum of Scotland. I mean I already worked as a Museum Conservator in the National Museum of New York so I shouldn''t be worried on how I would handle my job but the environment is still new to me and I am still adjusting. I sighed, feeling the exhaustion. "You did a great job here, Ms. Bethany." I turned around to see one of the Curators Mr. Graham walking in my direction. I composed myself immediately and smiled. "Oh, thank you Mr. Graham." I said politely. He looked around the Museum hall and nodded slightly as if approving the scenery. His gray eyes averted to mine then his slightly wrinkled upper cheeks moved to the corner of his gray eyes as he smiled back. "I know it''s been a long day for us but we still didn''t use all our working hours for today so since it looks like everything is well I decided, we will have our early log out to prepare our energy for tomorrow''s event, aye?" He said in a cheerful and fatherly voice. I smiled and nodded. "Thank you Mr. Graham but I''m okay, I can still finish my working hours here." I suggested. He shook his head and chuckled. "Nae, everyone is an excuse for today because tomorrow will also be a long day for us." He shrugged. I laughed in defeat. "Okay okay sir, will do it." I said. With that, he nodded and walked to the other area of the museum to check the other employees. I smiled as I was looking at his direction while talking to the other employees, he''s like a father to us but he''s also strict with work. For a month working here, everyone is good and friendly it''s just that I have to work on their language I mean yes they''re talking English but it''s different because they use some words that I really don''t know, but I''m lucky to them because they help me whenever there are conversations that I couldn''t catch up. "Halo." A female voice greeted cheerfully beside me. I turned to the sound of the voice beside me and it was Rachelle. Rachelle also started her job here last month as an assistant curator. She is super hyper, happy and loud that''s why I felt comfortable hanging with her and we immediately clicked in. When you look at her physical features, it reflects her personality like her red hair partnered with her cheerful beautiful green eyes with a little freckles on her white cheeks. The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement. I smiled at her. "Hey Rachelle, what''s up." I greeted her with an enthusiastic vibe. "Well good but I''m kinda pressured with this." She said showing compiled papers with articles printed on it. I raised my right eyebrow as if questioning her. She sighed. "It''s the McKenzie Statue, the not so famous but the best warrior of Scotland. The government pushes the National Museum to get the statue from the McKenzie Historical Mansion but it looks like the McKenzie Clan doesn''t want to surrender it." Rachelle explained. And that made me curious. To be honest, I still don''t know a lot of things about Scotland. I mean yes I studied some that are involved here in the Museum and the known facts about Scotland but I know there''s more to it in our history so I can really say that I am still not that knowledgeable about their history. I took the article from her hand and looked at it. There was a big picture of the statue that Rachelle was saying on the printed article. I checked it curiously. To say, if he was a real man he would be very handsome with strong features. He only wore a kilt with his exposed slightly bulgy upper body indicating he is an experienced warrior. His stance looks like he is in attack mode, his right arm is slightly raised holding his sword directed in my direction and his left arm is in defense. Wow, the sculptor did a great job here indeed, the statue is so detailed that it gives me goosebumps because he looks like a powerful warrior that is feared by everyone. I stared at his eyes and all I could see was nothing, emotionless, ruthless, then his hair was shoulder length size. "Hmm okay." I said as I gave her back the printed article. "So I am saying, he''s the best warrior in the history of Scotland but you know he made him kinda low-key for unknown reason that''s why not everyone knew him or some people just assumed that this warrior didn''t exist because well to think it is really impossible to have a person like him who was very brutal and cruel as what I have read in this article." She said, raising the printed articles on her hand. And again my curiosity hit me. It''s like I want to know more about this McKenzie Warrior. I looked back on the article that Rachelle is holding now and stared at the picture of the statue. As I stared at the eyes of the statue again and in that moment, I suddenly felt like I was hypnotized by those eyes. That''s why it wasn''t showing any hint of emotion. "And now I think the government wants to get the statue because they got interested in it, well if they''ll introduce him to the country that''ll be good he still deserves to be part of our history but anyway, it will be good if we can bring the statue here before the event tomorrow." She said while looking at the article. "But we don''t have time, I mean don''t you want to just rest for tomorrow?" I said suggestively. But deep down, I really want to see this McKenzie Statue in person and know his story. Rachelle shrugged again. "Well, I just want to try. This one is a very hard task of mine since a lot of past curators tried their best to retrieve the statue in the McKenzie Mansion but they all failed." She said looking at the printed article. I was about to say that I''ll consider helping her with that statue but someone called me. "Hey Beth, can you help me with this?" A man''s voice called from behind. I turned around to see Chris, the Exhibit Designer. He showed me a picture on a tablet of a specific area in the Museum where the paintings were neatly and artistically placed. I smiled. "Yeah, that''s awesome!! Thank you Chris for doing that." I complimented him with a pat on his shoulder. I''ve known Chris since I started my job here, actually he was the first colleague that I noticed since he''s kinda cute or I could say handsome too but he seems like an introvert person but you can still hang out with him you would just feel his reserved vibe. To describe him, he was tall like 6 flat, had a slight curly dark brown hair that ran just above the back of his neck. He is also very neat when it comes to his clothing. He smiled back showing his pearl white teeth. "Thanks, then I guess it''s a wrap?" He said jokingly. We both chuckled and waved as he walked away in the opposite direction. "He''s cute." Rachelle said beside me hugging the printed papers. "Yeah, agree." I looked at her and grinned. Rachelle pushed me teasingly. "You know, you have to flirt sometimes. You''ve been single forever." She suggested. I shook my head smiling. Yeah, I''ve been single since birth, being in relationship is my least priority. I met different men who I got interested with way back in college but nada, I still prioritized my studies until I graduated from my degree. When I had my first job, I tried to you know see men on dating app but still I was not able to be in a relationship. I guess I''ll be single forever. I shrugged. "Well, I don''t close the door. We''ll see." I still consider having a boyfriend someday. "Anyway, so are you up?" Rachelle asked, still holding the printed papers. I looked at those papers again, I sighed in defeat. Yeah I definitely love knowing the story behind that McKenzie Statue. "Alright, I''ll go with you today but we will just try to convince the McKenzie Clan. If they still refuse us, then we will not push them anymore okay?" I committed, giving the possibilities. She grinned and pushed me again on my shoulder. Well let''s meet this McKenzie Warrior. ______________ Copyright All Rights Reserved. Disclaimer: All names, characters, and incidents portrayed in this story are fictitious. How can they agree to still live here, I mean hello it takes a lot of time before you can step in the cobble stoned doorway of the mansion, it feels like you''re going to hike everyday. I breathed heavily as we walked towards the door of the mansion. "I wasn''t informed that we would do hiking today." I playfully ranted to Rachelle. She laughed lightly as she also breathed deeply. "I apologize my dear, but well you should expect this kind of place here because ye ken, Scotland is very popular with Highlands." She said stopping and took her time to breathe. I also stopped walking. I moved near Rachelle to try to assist her but she waved me off with a chuckle. "Den worry about me, I''m already used to this." She said as she stood up. "Wow, you''re using Gaelic to me huh." I said teasingly. She laughed. "I''m Scottish so yeah can''t control it." And with that I chuckled. We continued to just stood there to have more rest while chit chatting until Rachelle''s green eyes moved passed my shoulder. I followed her gaze and there, we did not realize that we''re in front of a tall door. We both looked at each other and shrugged our shoulders. Looks like we''re in our destination. The tall door looked very historical, giving some vibes that I didn''t understand. It''s my first time going here and it felt strange. We walked towards the tall door. No one attempted to knock on the door because we''re both observing the area and honestly kinda nervous to talk to one of the McKenzie clan. "Don''t they have a doorbell here?" I asked while still checking the area. "Hmm that''s what I am also looking for but I think we have to just knock on the door?" Rachelle answered still wandering around the area. I stopped and put my hands on my waist. "Hey I know we''re both buying the time here, what if let''s do it now?" I said looking at her. She also stopped then sighed. "Yeah you''re right, let''s finish the business. Better wish us luck." She said shaking his head slightly. We composed ourselves in front of the very historical and tall door. At first, still no one had the courage to knock on the door but after how many minutes, Rachelle finally did it. According to the article that I''ve read about McKenzie Clan when I had the time researching them on the phone when we were on a ride a while ago, they are very intimidating and private. They portrayed very well the image of their ancestors. I tried to search more about them but all I got was the description of the clan. I also searched about the McKenzie Statue that they are keeping inside the mansion but again I did not get anything about it. As what Rachelle said, they made him low-key or unknown to the people, not everyone knew the story behind this warrior. I gave up to dig more about this warrior but before finally giving up, I noticed an article that talks about the McKenzie Warrior. Actually there''s nothing much on that article but it was the only one that describes this warrior like, how great this warrior was in the battles, he''s the feared warrior assassin that countries wanted to claim and etc etc but every descriptions point in one thing, he''s ruthless and was used to kill people either innocent or not. The tall door opened and I felt the cold air hit our skin. An old woman around 60''s stood up at the doorway. She looked at us and immediately checked us from head to toe. It felt like she was judging us for an instant while giving us a vibe of hostility. Rachelle cleared her throat to remove the awkwardness that we are feeling. I straightened my formal dress and gave the old woman a genuine smile. But she didn''t smile back at us. "Good day, I-uh..." Rachelle started with a nervous voice, turning to me as if addressing my presence. "We''re both working from the National Museum of Edinburgh, uh we''re here to talk to you about the McKenzie Statue. If you would allow us, we can negotiate about it." Rachelle finished, breathing deeply. I was waiting for any hint of reaction from her but we only received an expressionless face. This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. Oh it''s starting to become awkward again. But you can see in her slight wrinkled white face that she''s having a thought of it. Her clear blue eyes was like looking at our souls, still judging the both of us. Her right eyebrow raised and looked at us again from head to toe. "How many times should I tell you, we will not surrender the statue of our pride. He''s not for sale nor for display in that museum." She said with a blank expression and in a hostile but calm voice. It made me want to just go home. "Ye, it is your pride but we just want him to be known to everyone, to be known that he had a huge contribution in the history of Scotland. Den ye want that?" Rachelle said with convincing tone. I looked at Rachelle and you can really see the determination in her green eyes. If she got this mission, it will give her the advantage to become one of the curators of the museum in the future. It will also be her success since as what she said, a lot of past curators from the museum tried their best to get the statue and they were all unsuccessful. How many years passed but they still failed to convince them. I turned my attention back to the older woman in front of us who I am also curious about since she is a McKenzie and knows a lot about their history, I gave her a warm smile. Maybe if we can push her more, she would give us the story of McKenzie Warrior. "Madame, let me introduce myself. I am Bethany Collins, a museum conservator from the National Museum of Edinburgh." I started though deep inside I wanted to walk away from this situation. "Firstly, I apologize if I don''t sound scottish-ly because I grew up in America and am starting my career here in Scotland. I know a lot of people from the museum already went here to negotiate with you but this time Madame, we want to negotiate with you not just for the sake of our career and money but we want to feature the story of your pride." I said with full honesty. "You see, we are very much interested in his story not just him but your stories as part of the McKenzie Clan. Don''t you think it is time to put McKenzie in the history of Scotland?" I said more convincingly but not to the point of desperation. "So if you allow us madame, we will be so grateful and excited at the same time because this will be a big news in Scotland." I added politely and smiled. Still, she gave us a blank expression. We were still waiting for her reply but we got nothing. After how many minutes of waiting, she didn''t give us anything nor a word. Finally, she moved a little but to our surprised she closes the door. Rachelle and I looked at each other and mouthed ''wow''. We waited for more minutes but the door didn''t open anymore. I think this time we have to give up now. I recalled all the things I''ve said to madame to know if I said something that is offensive to her but I think, none. I mean hey I was talking to her politely and I just tried to convince her but anyway what can we do, they didn''t want to give us the statue. Plus I will be forever clueless about that warrior. I sighed. "Hey, thank you for helping me there Beth. I really appreciate that." She patted my shoulder. I looked at her and smiled weakly. "You''re welcome Rach, but still I wanna know the story of that warrior." I said. I looked around the mansion, it was my first time to check it since I was preoccupied about my thoughts of meeting the McKenzie clan. It was a huge mansion, with a touch of ancient style and historic vibe. It felt like I am in the 1800''s something era and to be honest it felt good. I was always curious what it feels like to be in those years, like maybe everything was so simple yet beautiful. This is why I love to read some historical romance novels, I mean I am not into the love story but just the feeling how it would if I was in those times. I really have a thing with history. I was snapped out of reality when I heard the tall door moved allowing us to see the view inside the mansion and there, the madame that we''re talking to a while ago appeared again from the doorway, gesturing us as if welcoming us inside the mansion. Again, Rachelle and I looked at each other with shocked expression. "Thigibh a stigh agus labhraidh sinn." She said in a strict voice. We both turned to her still shocked with what''s happening right now. I felt Rachelle moved closer to me. "She said come in and we will talk." Rachelle translated which I nodded. We walked towards the doorway and when we got inside the mansion, madame closed the tall door behind us. I immediately looked around and I was in awe. It was really huge and very spacious inside. The area is also clean and everything is arranged properly. The walls are also high that you have to look up so that you can see the beauty of ancient style of the mansion. This is not actually a mansion, this is a castle. I breathe the slightly cold air inside, and it smells like the scent of sandalwood. This totally makes me feel like I am in 1800''s. She walked us through the red carpeted floor to the mansion''s living room. Again I was really in awe because of how big the living room is but what do you expect, it''s a mansion, no it''s a castle. She gestures us to sit in their soft- looking brownish sofa and we obeyed. To say, it was not just a soft- looking sofa but it definitely is. Wow it felt like I sat in an ancient luxurious sofa. The madame left us in the living room but minutes after she appeared again holding a tray with a porcelain teapot, also a porcelain tea glasses and some cookies on it. She put it down on the woody table in front of us. She sat on the single sofa that is parallel on where we are sitting. The way the madame move is very classy and smooth. She looked at us both, this time with welcoming vibe and finally she gave us a smile. "Feel at home and please drink some tea, I know it''s too tired to go here." She said sincerely. With that, we took our tea glasses and poured some and then we also took a sip of it. Wow this is some kind of Chamomile Lemongrass Tea. I put down the tea glass on the table and smiled at the madame. "Thank you for this madame." I said. She nodded and smiled motherly. "By the way, I am Olivia McKenzie and as you can see I am part of the McKenzie clan." She introduced. "So, you say you want to get the McKenzie Statue right?" She started. "And you''re willing to now include the McKenzie in our history, but do you have any idea about our pride?" She asked calmly. We both shook our heads. "I see and I am fully aware of that, as we all know we are very reserved clan that''s why we really don''t give any information about us but since you are interested with our pride, I think I have to let you know about our story." She said smilingly. Before she started to tell us the story, she turned slightly to the right side and looked at the rich woody door that looks like a room that we did notice at first. And again, my curiosity hit me. Why is she looking at that room? Who is in there? Before I could ask, she turned to us again. "Alright, I''ll talk to you now about the infamous McKenzie Warrior but first please I want this to be recorded because I''ll just speak about this once." She said with slightly strict voice. With that, we both took our phones inside our bags and started to record it. "There you go Madame Olivia McKenzie, the record has been started." I said with full excitement. Chapter 3 - Fergus McKenzie The King Gregory III of England was sitting on his throne, wearing his luxurious clothes. His left arm is well rested on the arm of the chair tapping his fingers on the edge of it. He is thinking carefully of what will be the next move since the Scotland is not giving up their land on England. He wanted to make it a part of their country but alas the Scotland wanted the opposite, they fought so much that made his plan to be impossible anymore. If only he had that Fergus McKenzie Warrior, this will be all easy. Fergus McKenzie is the Warrior Assassin that everyone feared by. He''s the best Warrior Assassin that every country desires but since he is born a Scot Gaelic, no one could ever break his loyalty to his country. He tried to bait him with a pile of gold but he rejected it big time. The king does not know anymore how he could get the land of Scotland, his warriors are slowly decreasing because of the battle he initiated to them. Maybe this time he would consider defeat, there''s nothing he can do anymore. He sighed. It somehow degraded his pride and he felt so ashamed of it because he knew very well, it will be the talk of the whole England and other nations. He does not want to feel or hear that the England has a weak leader. And that made him to become motivated again, he needs to think other ways to lift his pride again even if he would play dirty. The Head of England Warrior Alexander walked towards the throne, and there he half kneel to give respect to the King then he stood up straight in front of the King. The King lent his face on his palm, and looked straight to the Head of England Warrior. "Is there any good news?" The King asked. "My apologies my lord, but I am here to inform you that the number of our warrior is still dropping." He said with straight face. The King breathed deeply furiously. He stood up from his throne and stepped down on the little stairs, then he walked towards the Head of England Warrior with heavy steps. "Are you aware how much I wasted my gold to give you all the best training and upgraded equipment? That land is very small Alexander and their warriors are not that much compared to ours but still you failed to defeat them?!" He said in a high voice which made the shoulders of Warrior Guards who are standing on each side of the throne room tensed. The Head of England Warrior slightly bent his head showing his submission to the King. "I apologize my lord." The only thing he said to the King. "Now, I want to finish this business as soon as possible and that Fergus McKenzie? Do anything to put him down, I want his head, do you understand?" The King commanded strictly. But deep down, the King knew it would be a risky move. The Head of England Warrior bowed down despite feeling the pressure and nervousness. He also knew to himself that it would be hard to accomplish the King''s command because they both know they cannot just put down a Fergus McKenzie. He stepped out of the throne area with a head bent down. He does not know what to do anymore, how he wished that the King will just give up and be satisfied on their home land. Everyone knows that the King Gregory III is an ambitious man, who wants MORE of what he already has. The Head of England Warrior sighed in exhaustion. Two days after meeting the King, Alexander prepared himself and his warriors for another battle with the Scotland Warriors. He is strict towards them but at least he still knows how to be empathetic to them, he hugged each warrior because he is not sure anymore if they can go back to their homeland alive. He walked in front of the warriors and stood up straight. "Listen, I know how exhausted you are, but this battle is for our King''s favor so, let''s choose to fight." He shouted. "Aye!!" Everyone shouted with full dignity. He nodded to them and rode to their horses. It was days after they reached the battlefield between the land of Ireland and Scotland. They couldn''t see anything but an air. They cautiously walked around the area to check if there are Gaelic Warriors in sight but they found nothing, they even checked the massive stones around the battlefield for possible hideouts but nothing. Alexander was confused for a moment not until a flying arrows fell down on them, some were able to avoid it but some were hit. By that, a group of warriors riding with their horses trapped them in a circle. Yes, there were a lot of England Warriors but they did not expect that they will do an ambush. Gaelic Warriors moved closer to them holding their swords directed on them. Alexander moved in front of his warriors and spread his arms backwards as if protecting them like a father. This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. When the Gaelic Warriors made sure that the England Warriors had no way to go, they all moved in unison giving some entrance to their Head of Gaelic Warrior and there, a tall man with a big toned body that shows on his iron Camelot Armor appeared on the way riding with his horse. When he was closer to them, he came down from his horse and walked in front of him. He is fully aware who he is because they met several times in the battle. He took off his iron helmet, showing his dark brownish shoulder length hair. Alexander finally met his fury blue eyes. A smirked appeared on his thin lips. "Chan eil fios agam carson nach eil thu a ''toirt seachad (I don''t know why you are not giving up)." Fergus said in an arrogant tone. "You see, you can''t defeat the Gaelics so leig seachad a-nis (give up now)." He continued. Alexander did not say anything because he knew already they are defeated, his warriors are his only concern here. He tried to look at his wounded warriors that are still laying on the ground then he turned again to Fergus. He tiptoed since Fergus is taller than him and moved closer to his face with full anger. "We cannot just give up, it''s our King''s command!". He shouted in front of the face of Fergus. Fergus felt the saliva hit his face, he wiped it by his hand and chuckled devil-y and then he put down his hand and slowly moved inside his pocket to get a small knife. Alexander was about to say more but then he felt a sharp pain on his gut. He looked down immediately, and there was a blood flowing on his warrior cloth. He covered it up with his hand, he looked up to Fergus again with hatred but Fergus just looked at him with no remorse. The pain was unbearable that it made him to sit on the ground to somehow ease the discomfort he''s feeling at the moment. He heard Fergus shouted to his warriors, he could not really hear what he was saying and his vision is slowly becoming pitch black. "Tagh iad uile agus glas iad gu na dungeons! (Pick them all and lock them to the dungeons!)" Fergus commanded to his warriors as he rode his horse. Everyone complied and immediately grabbed the England Warriors by their arms. "I hope this incident will stop them to invade our country. Tapadh leat (Thank you) Fergus, I appreciate your loyalty and defense to our beloved land." The Queen Iona of Scotland said to Fergus with gratefulness. After what happened in the battlefield, he immediately went to the castle to report the incident to the Queen. The Queen Iona is still young, she is around 30 years old that''s why a lot of countries looked down on her leading the Scotland in a very young age, and it''s one of the reason why the King of England had an interest in Scotland because a woman with a young age leads the country and when you say woman, they thought them a weak leader. The King Charles of Scotland was still resting because of his unknown sickness and they don''t know if he will be cured from it. Fergus bowed down to the Queen. "It''s my pleasure my Queen, it is my duty to protect our country." Fergus said with full sincerity. The Queen nodded and smiled. A smile that she only gives to Fergus. Fergus looked back at the Queen, meeting her hazel green eyes which signal for something they only knew. The Queen stood up from where she was sitting and walked closer to Fergus, she moved forward until he reach the side of Fergus cheek that allows her to whisper on his ear. Fergus felt the hot breath that is coming from his Queen and it made his hair stood up in alarm. "See me tonight in my chamber, I''ll give you your deserved reward." She whispered in a seductive voice then she moved a litte to look straight on his fury blue eyes. In that moment, Fergus felt an arousal in his lower part and the Queen knew it but he should control it because they are in the throne room and a lot of Guard Warriors are standing there ready to protect the Queen. He just nodded in response and walked out the throne room. The dungeon of the castle was very huge that it is able to accommodate the England Warriors they captured. Alexander was all alone in one of the prison cells of the dungeon, he was attended by a doctor to clean his wound. Somehow, he felt grateful that he is still alive but thinking they were defeated and no chance to invade Scotland anymore made him just want to die. It''s their King''s command but they failed. It will ruin the King''s image of being one of the strong leaders that this generation have. It will also be a laughingstock since the King of England is defeated by a woman, the Queen of Scotland. He shook his head with a weak chuckle. They really failed. Fergus was really great, he''s really intelligent with the strategies when it comes to the battle. No one can put him down. He thought of giving up at that very moment. At least he tried his best to follow their King''s command but he does not want to think of it anymore, he wants to check his other warriors if they are okay now, especially the wounded warriors. Were they also attended by the doctor? He tried to stand up from the bed but he can still feel the pain from his gut. Oh well, I think I should just rest for the mean time. He thought. Later on, he did not notice he fell asleep until he heard the sound of the cell gate moved. He woke up in alarm and tried himself to sit on the bed and there a familiar tall figure blocked his sight. It''s Fergus. He chuckled weakly. "Thanks for the visit." Alexander said with sarcasm. Fergus laughed devil-y then looked down at Alexander checking his condition. "If it is not for the Queen, I might order them to just let you all suffer from the wounds you got." He replied with a deep voice. "Is this not suffering to you? Staying here in your country is kind of torture to us, failing our mission? It felt like we already died!" Alexander shouted furiously. And that made Fergus laugh then he turned to him again. "You have your own country and we have ours, stay in your land and we are all good. That''s very simple my cariad (friend)!" Fergus said with a deep and calm tone. "Do you know how much I want to kill you all here? If it''s not really for the Queen''s wish to let you live, you''re in the hell now." He added. Alexander just looked at him straight in the eyes with full anger but deep inside he was giving it a second thought. Should he be thankful or continue to be prideful despite of their failure? Fergus moved closer to him and Alexander felt panic by his figure. "I will let you go home but I want you to tell to your King that if he attempts again to invade Scotland, I''ll be the one who will kill him with or without the Queen''s command." Fergus warned Alexander. With that, he walked out of the dungeon cell and locked it. Alexander became terrified of Fergus warning. He should convince the King to stop invading the Scotland or else, worst thing will happen. He believed Fergus words because he did it many times, he killed people innocent or not, high positioned or not, known or not, he chose no one if he feels he needs to kill them he will do it. He''s fully aware of what he is capable of.
