Olivia''s Pov ''''Come now Olivia let''s move it!!!'''' my mom exclaimed. ''''Come on Mom when are we going to be done? I''m exhausted,'''' I said to her. ''''Okay then maybe let''s just go for some karate then we will be done,'''' said mom. "No Mom please I''m so tired we have been training for some hours now," I said. ''''Okay fine enough training for today. You did well dear don''t give up! But let''s go home now besides we have a family meeting,'''' said mom. We went to Aunt and Uncle''s house. ''''Oh so we visiting Aunt and Uncle?'''' I asked her. ''''Yeah dear. We all have a meeting here together,'''' said mom. Just then dad joined us. ''''Oh hey Dad,'''' I greeted him. ''''Hey Olivia how was training today?'''' he asked me. ''''Well I''m really exhausted, but I''m getting more skilled day by day thanks to Mom,'''' I said. ''''Great! You will need it,'''' said dad. Then we knocked on the door. And they opened for us. These past few days mom has been taking me for all different kinds of training which I know is good for me, healthy for the body, increase in strength and flexibility. But what was the catch? I have done a few of them since my childhood such as karate but this time mom made sure that I do training most of my time and she would mark me on it and then I would practice with dad at home. Inside the house... We sat around a large table but everyone was quiet. They were all looking at each other and that''s when I knew something was up. ''''Guys what''s wrong? You are acting weird,'''' I said. ''''So who should tell her?'''' my aunt asked my mom. ''''You do it please,'''' said mom. ''''No I can''t,'''' my aunt said. My dad sighed. It''s like everyone knew what was happening except for me. ''''Tell me what?'''' I asked them. I looked at my cousin. ''''Do you all so know what they are talking about?'''' I asked Zardie. ''''Well yeah,'''' she said. ''''What is that then?'''' I asked her. ''''Umm...'''' said Zardie. It was like she was hesitating to talk which was so weird. Zardie has never hid a secret from me we tell each other everything. ''''I would rather let someone else tell you,'''' said Zardie. ''''So you mean you are hiding something from me?'''' I asked her. ''''It was not my choice. Olivia I had to,'''' said Zardie. Just then my mom held my hand. ''''Okay dear don''t worry I will tell you,'''' she said. ''''Olivia have you ever heard of werewolves?'''' my mom asked me. ''''Well yeah but the ones I know that were here before are now long gone right Mom?'''' I asked her. ''''No that is not the case,'''' said mom. ''''Wait what??? So you mean there are still werewolves amongst us?'''' I asked her. ''''Well yes. I won''t lie to you but you must promise me all''ve us this is top secret that you won''t tell anyone,'''' said mom. ''''Oh so that is the secret? Well don''t worry I won''t tell anyone,'''' I said. ''''And that''s not all but there is more. But like seriously it''s important that you keep this top secret otherwise you will ruin everything and might not get the chance,'''' said mom. ''''The chance to be what?'''' I asked her. Now I was so confused. ''''The chance to be a protector,'''' said mom. ''''So we can we trust you?'''' asked dad. ''''You can count on me Dad!'''' I exclaimed. ''''So just like Queen Aria as you know she was a protector and so were we. Some of us even worked with her protectors with her,'''' said mom. ''''Oh wow awesome! No one knew it but when they need a new protector they go around and observe people and they choose the number of people who should go and one is chosen,'''' said mom, ''''but don''t worry after one week you will go for the test everything will be clear to you the Master will explain everything,'''' she said to me. ''''Yeah Olivia,'''' said Zardie, ''''we wouldn''t want to spoil it for you. Trust me it will be so interesting when you see everything unfold for yourself,'''' said Zardie. ''''Yeah all we can tell you now is that keep training and in one week''s time you will be ready for the test,'''' said mom. That was a long talk indeed. After dinner I went to my room to process everything. Just then Zardie knocked on my door. ''''Yeah Zardie,'''' I said. ''''Olivia I know this alot for you and I know you need time to process it but I just want to say that I''m sorry. I know we tell each other everything but this I wanted to I really wanted to but you know, it was not within my power please understand,'''' said Zardie. ''''It''s okay Zardie I understand,'''' I said. ''''Really? So that means you are not angry at me? You are still my best friend?'''' she asked me. ''''Of course! Why not? Best friends forever,'''' I said. I gave her a hug. The next morning... ''''I can''t believe we will now be going to the same school,'''' I said to Zardie as we walked in the school. ''''Yeah and you are going to love it! Trust me,'''' said Zardie. ''''Yeah I bet I will. Besides we are going to the same school now!'''' I exclaimed. ''''Yeah. Enjoy cousin,'''' said Zardie. She wished me goodbye and went off to her class. I went to my class. Not knowing where to sit I decided to go to sit straight infront. Chapter 2: First day at a new school She looked at me for a while. ''''Well yes you can sit here no problem,'''' she said, ''''No one is sitting here. Hey I''m sorry about that, I just get shy around new people,'''' she said. ''''Me too. Besides I''m new here,'''' I said. ''''Oh you are welcome!'''' she exclaimed. ''''Yeah thank you. I''m Olivia and you?'''' I asked her. ''''Isla,'''' she said. We continued talking for a bit. ''''Hey the teacher is about to come now,'''' said Isla. At break I walked with Isla she showed me all around the school. Then we went to meet some other students. ''''Hey new girl! I''m Nora pretty sweet and I can be a good friend of yours. Just do me one favour don''t mess with my man,'''' said Nora. ''''Your man?'''' I asked her. ''''Yeah there,'''' she pointed to the guy at a distance. ''''I must say though you are so pretty. What is your name?'''' asked Nora. ''''Olivia,'''' I told her. ''''Nice name love it,'''' said Nora. ''''Thanks I like yours too,'''' I said. After that talk with Nora, Isla and I continued walking. ''''Well that''s Nora,'''' said Isla, ''''don''t be afraid of her that is not even her man it''s just her crush,'''' she said. ''''Oh really?'''' I said laughing. ''''Yeah,'''' Isla laughed. Two girls joined us. ''''Sorry for the interruption but we overheard your conversation. Isla is right Olivia that is not her man just her crush,'''' said Layla. ''''Yeah almost every girl''s crush in this school,'''' said Sophia. ''''Oh I see,'''' I said. I hanged out with Isla and her friends the whole day. They were such a great help to me. They led me to all my classes and showed me how everything was supposed to go so it was not such a tough day at my new school. Isla''s Pov It was afterschool it was so nice getting to know Olivia such a nice girl. But I felt like I was forgetting something, but what could that be? Just then my brother came. ''''Welcome back from school!'''' he exclaimed. ''''Thanks,'''' I said. ''''Did you bring that book?'''' he asked me. I gasped. So this what I had forgot! ''''I''m sorry I forgot it,'''' I told him. ''''Isla! But you know how important it is! Now what are we going to do?'''' asked Gavin. ''''I''m sorry bro but I don''t have it tomorrow I promise to bring it,'''' I said. Olivia''s Pov After school I went straight to train. The test was close and I had to pass it! I really wanted to be chosen as one of the protectors. After an hour Zardie joined me and we trained together. ''''How do you feel?'''' asked Zardie. ''''Tired but it''s totally worth it,'''' I said. ''''That''s the spirit! I like your attitude. It sure is worth it that way you will be ready on the battlefield when we face the werewolves,'''' said Zardie. ''''I still can''t believe the werewolves returned,'''' I said. ''''Me neither but we will win this battle. They could be strong but we are pretty smart too,'''' she said. After two hours of training I went home. I should now get used to live with my cousins, I almost went to my home to mom and dad''s house. Yet they were away for now. I still had to process everything. What would the werewolves be looking for exactly? What is their mission? And most importantly why would they start this whole battle? Could we maybe have wronged them somewhere? Somehow? I can just imagine myself telling this to my family they would obviously think I''m crazy! The werewolves are the enemies they are the ones not wanting peace! But everyone has a reason for doing something right? This whole battle is not clear. Suddenly, I heard a knock on my window. I went to open and see but I only found a piece of paper. It seems someone had written a message for me there. It said: " Nice training keep it up! And keep up the spirit!" but who could this be? And why would they run way that fast after sending me this? Chapter 3: Blake Olivia''s Pov The next day... On my way to class I was walking to class that I wasn''t looking where I was going. That I accidentally bumped into Blake. ''''Hey! Watch where you are going!'''' he exclaimed. I looked up. ''''Oh I''m so sorry I wasn''t looking,'''' I said. ''''That is why I''m saying that you should watch where you are going,'''' said Blake. ''''Sorry again,'''' I said. ''''You are the new girl right?'''' he asked me. ''''Oh yeah,'''' I said. ''''I thought so. So that is why Nora was pointing at me yesterday showing you,'''' said Blake. ''''Yes. And that I shouldn''t mess with her man,'''' I said. ''''Her what?! Wait who?'''' he asked me. ''''I''m so sorry Blake but I gotta run no time to talk,'''' I said. I ran off to class. Since the school was big and the class was kind of far if I was not careful I was going to be late. I finally reached and again I sat next to Isla. Our teacher encouraged us to join the extra curricular activities. So Isla took me and showed me the list of all the extra activities I can join. I didn''t want to join so many so I decided I will just start with gymnastics. I told Isla to join too but she wasn''t interested in joining any of them. No sports, no music, no dance, no public speaking, nothing. ''''Now come on Isla please join. Just for this once,'''' Sophia begged her. ''''Wait you mean Isla never joins any extra curricular activity?'''' I asked. ''''No. Isla always says she''s fine,'''' said Layla. ''''Why Isla?'''' I asked her. She looked at me for a while with no response. ''''I''m just not interested,'''' said Isla. ''''Okay Isla but just try doing gymnastics at least. You might say you are fine but when you reach there you find yourself having so much fun,'''' said Layla. ''''Fine still,'''' said Isla. I realised we were going nowhere with this. Isla wasn''t going to join and that was final. There was no use on trying to convince her. ''''Layla it''s okay. If Isla doesn''t want it''s fine let her be,'''' I said. Layla, Sophia, and myself went to do gymnastics at least Isla came with us just to watch the practice although she wasn''t going to do it. Blake was there too and he was talking to Nora. Although he didn''t seem quite interested in the conversation. Suddenly he came to me. Nora gave me some kind of look. ''''Hey there,'''' said Blake. ''''Oh hey and bye,'''' I said. ''''Hey! I just came. What''s the rush?'''' he asked me. ''''Why did you just walk away from Nora like that? Now see she''s looking at me somehow,'''' I said to him. ''''Now come on don''t tell me it''s about the thing she said about me being her man is it?'''' Blake asked me. ''''I don''t know Blake first go talk to her,'''' I said. Afterwards afterschool Isla stayed a little longer and she took me to the library. ''''This is where I like to come to refresh my mind,'''' said Isla. ''''Library I like it!'''' I exclaimed. It was about Queen Aria and the werewolves. I don''t know how many times I''ve read it but I never get tired of it. Queen Aria was just my inspiration. We sat around the table and started reading it. "I guess its a pretty famous novel but I have not read it," said Isla. "Oh really?" I asked her. "Yeah but I''ve heard about it. I just know a little bit," said Isla. "Well you should consider reading it. It''s very interesting and these things really happened," I said. "Yeah I''ve heard," said Isla. ''''Oh okay well we are reading about this novel about Queen Aria wanna join us?'''' asked Isla. He just nodded yes. We were reading and talking but seems like Blake didn''t want to comment. ''''Okay we will read more next time how interesting! And what do you think Blake you haven''t said anything since,'''' said Isla. ''''Uhh...I don''t know what to say,'''' said Blake. ''''Don''t know what to say??? But Blake come on there''s alot to say. You can even ask Olivia,'''' said Isla. ''''Alright so what do you want me to say? There is nothing to say Queen Aria always defeated the werewolves the same old story that''s all,'''' said Blake. ''''Why do you sound like you hate her or something?'''' I asked him. ''''Hate her? No! No, Queen Aria is our hero don''t you know? But somehow the whole story doesn''t make sense. I mean have you guys ever wondered with this whole battle why we the humans hate the werewolves anyway?'''' asked Blake. ''''You have a point there, but I don''t think it''s just us the humans. Even the werewolves hate us and I don''t know why,'''' I said. ''''Even if,'''' said Isla, ''''what do the werewolves want anyway? Although I don''t know much about them and the whole battle with Queen Aria but I''ve heard they are quite powerful, strong and pretty fast also they have their own special powers which they are mostly born with so what is it they want?'''' asked Isla. ''''And are you sure the humans wouldn''t like those powers?'''' asked Blake, ''''I mean like let''s be serious who wouldn''t want these supernatural powers,'''' he said. We continued talking. I was confused with Blake though. It was like he was on the werewolves'' side but again he supported the humans so...it was hard to tell what he was saying. Could I blame him though? No. This whole battle was confusing anyway. There has never been any clear explanation on why and how this battle started and that was so weird. After hanging out with Isla and Blake I finally went home. The week was going by fast and soon it would be my test. So, of course I went for more training never missed a day and when Zardie was free we would train together. But this time I trained so much that I lost track of the time. Zardie was calling me saying it''s late I started walking home but just when I was about to reach the house I saw something at first I couldn''t clearly see what it was until...my eyes couldn''t believe this! Chapter 4: Unexpected Full Moon Zardie''s Pov ''''Zardie did you call Olivia?'''' my mother asked me. ''''Yeah Mom I did,'''' I said to her. ''''So why is she not here yet?'''' my mom asked. ''''I don''t know Mom but she said she was coming now. She was supposed to be here by now,'''' I said. ''''Please check on her I hope she''s not lost,'''' said mom. ''''Great idea Mom,'''' I said. I went out looking for Olivia. It felt so nice outside the fresh air but then I noticed something. The full moon? Wait! Now that is not supposed to happen. I was pretty sure there was a mistake somewhere. The moon had not even finished it''s lunar phase circle yet this night it''s appearing what''s going on? I realised I had more important things to worry about. Olivia!!! She must be out there. And now since the full moon appeared it''s when the werewolves would usually come out. I realised what that means. I ran so fast on my way to find Olivia and the worst part was that she had not yet got her powers. ''''Olivia Olivia!'''' I shouted her name as I ran. Olivia''s Pov Green eyes, physically strong, hairy all over the body, yeah it was a werewolf! ''''Stop right there!'''' said the werewolf. ''''I did not move,'''' I said. My attitude annoyed the werewolf. I acted fearless and brave and the werewolf too was fearless and brave. I wanted so badly to go and call the protectors but then I realised that could be a bad idea too. It would cause caios and more people would come out and see the werewolf. So I tried to deal with the werewolf on my own in my human form. Sure I didn''t have powers but I train for a reason I used my skills. The werewolf was very fast. So now and then he caught up to me it was kind of hard to dodge him. But I managed somehow. Zardie finally came. She was surprised how I was dealing with the werewolf. ''''Are you...fighting the werewolf?'''' asked Zardie. ''''Yeah. I mean kind of,'''' I said. ''''Wow!'''' she exclaimed, ''''that''s impressive!'''' she said. Zardie was now in her masked form. In her hero form with her powers. ''''Yeah hey,'''' said the werewolf, ''''''she looks crazy!'''' the werewolf exclaimed. ''''Oh please Mr. Werewolf what do you want from us today?'''' asked Zardie. ''''Do you even have to ask?'''' asked the werewolf. ''''Because you werewolves make no sense always wanting trouble and when will you ever want peace huh?!'''' she exclaimed. ''''You ruined that between us and now it''s better like this!'''' exclaimed the werewolf. He went for the attack. Zardie fought back! I helped in any way I can. ''''Now,'''' said the werewolf breathing heavily, ''''today I want one thing from you and that is the diamond necklace!'''' he exclaimed. ''''The diamond necklace?'''' I asked. I was now so confused about what they were talking about. ''''I will explain later,'''' said Zardie to me, ''''and as for you Mr. Werewolf no sorry but the werewolf princess cannot have back the diamond necklace! I did some pretty good moves that made the werewolf to go in circles. He started feeling dizzy. After some time he was back to normal and he went for Zardie but she threw light beams at him that made him shift back. Yes! Victory was ours. ''''Nice work Olivia! So impressive!'''' Zardie cheered me on. ''''Oh stop it I didn''t do much because I didn''t have the powers,'''' I said. ''''But one thing you have to know Olivia, as a protector, you shouldn''t depend on the powers. ''''Dear where were you?'''' my uncle asked me. ''''Uncle I lost track of the time while I was training so when I was walking back home I met a werewolf,'''' I said. ''''A werewolf? Wait the full moon it''s out?'''' my aunt asked. ''''Yeah Mom,'''' said Zardie, ''''and that is so weird because today we were not expecting a full moon it wasn''t supposed to happen,'''' said Zardie. My aunt and uncle were so worried about me but we told them everything that happened and that I was okay. The next day at school... ''''Did you guys see what happened yesterday?'''' Isla''s Pov After school I went home to refresh then I met up with Gavin and my dad at the lab. ''''Dad guess what happened last night?'''' I asked him. ''''What?'''' asked dad. So you mean we missed the werewolves?'''' asked dad. ''''Yeah dad but that''s because the full moon was unexpected,'''' I told him. ''''That was what I was about to say,'''' said Gavin. ''''Hmm we need a better plan,'''' said dad. ''''What do you have in mind dad?'''' I asked him. ''''Oh Isla and you will be part of the plan. I''m so glad you taking this project seriously. Isla I want you to test and see if anyone in your class is a werewolf,'''' said dad. ''''A werewolf? Dad why would someone in my class be a werewolf?'''' I asked him. ''''Are you crazy? I went home and when I saw my mom I hugged her right away. She''s all I needed right now. Chapter 5: Nora and Blake Isla''s Pov ''''Darling what''s wrong?'''' my mother asked me. ''''Nothing mom just felt like hugging you,'''' I said to her. She knew very well that I was lieying. Something was wrong and my face could show it. ''''About the werewolves?'''' he asked me. ''''Yeah dad I''m so stressed. Even if I learn more about them but how will I then know who the werewolf is?'''' I asked him. Nora begged that I help her get a date with Blake but honestly I wasn''t the one who was that close to Blake he only sat with Isla and I that day in the library. Speaking of Isla I wonder where she was. She usually comes very early to school. ''''I can''t believe this! So you mean Nora wants you to get her to go on a date with Blake?'''' Sophia was laughing. ''''You can imagine,'''' I said to her. ''''Well Blake is very hard. I mean like you can even see Mila is struggling just to get him,'''' said Layla. ''''Who is Mila now?'''' I asked them. ''''Oh she is in the same class as Blake. And everyone knows she has the biggest crush on Blake,'''' said Layla. ''''And Nora has the biggest crush too,'''' I said. Soon Nora joined us again.
