《The way to the heart of WISDOM》 ~prologue~ Red and Big-bad are gone, but sweet Granny finds a wolf boy holding a baby. A baby girl to be exact! When the small wolf boy saw Granny, he whined and placed the girl on the snowy ground and backed away. Granny, not wanting to scare the poor orphaned wolf, picked up the girl and went home. She felt sorry for him. But, the girl kept her attention away from the boy for 15 years. Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon. ~Chapter 1~ Far away in a sleeping field, was a girl, and she dreamed of one day meeting her mother. Her combat trainer, Mr. Centaur ¨Cfor he was a centaur and did not go by "horsy" for that was his real name- had told her who her real mother was, and what her mother had planned for Athene. Course, Athene, not truly sure what to think of said plan, went along with it anyways. They had already finished training for the day, so Athene asked her mother if she could sleep, and of course Athena told Centaur to tell her yes. Every night Athene would hear a howl not far in the distance -for every night she would be outside in that very meadow- and she would jump awake from the creepy noise. By this time Centaur would tell her she was fine, but she never felt truly safe away from Granny. The cottage was so ever after away. Athene, hearing a growl close to her spot, ran. She started towards the cottage, but soon did not see where it should be. Oh-no! I am lost She thought. Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. As she skidded to a stop so she could breathe, she tripped over an object in the way. When she looked at what was under her, it moved, trying to attack her. She tried to back away, but it had her pinned and she couldn''t move. Just as she was about to pass out, the last thing she registered was a fluffy tail near her face. ~Chapter 2~ She awoke to a see-through boy crouched right in-front of her face. "Don''t speak, you''re okay. But you need to rest." He spoke. She whispered, "Who are you? And where am I?" He looked at the floor then back to her, "I''m Ghostie Jay, and where HERE is, it''s called WOLF MANER." Granny told her stories of a "wolf Maner" but she always thought it was just enjoyment. Could it be? She thought. "Wolf Maner?!" She shouts. Jay looks at her with his right brow raised, "Well yes.. Here comes Bad now." Jay looks to a corner in the dark dusty room, then disappears. She tried to call him back, but that''s when she noticed a boy with wolf ears coming towards her. -he didn''t even try to hide his ears?!- "Hello, I hope he didn''t scare you... are you alright?" He looked at her with concern shadowing his face. This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author''s work. Instead of saying no, she just nods her head. She''s looking at the 6''2 inch boy that seems to be a year and a half older then her, when she sees his ears for the first time. Oh-Mother! She thought. "Are those real? -no offence!-" He then looks at her, and a smirk shows up on his face. "Yes, they are. I will warn you, DON''T. TOUCH. THEM. It feels weird. I''m glad~ your lying. What''s wrong?" He quips with urgensy. She looks at him, not sure what to say, but then realizes that it might help to tell the truth. "I feel like I''m not JUST half god. Is that a bad thing? I feel like it could be.." She cries. He then looks at her, a small bit shocked, but then a wolfish grin crosses a corner of his face, and he says, "I- I feel fox coming off of you.. And.. Ah, I feel fae as well. Sweetheart you¡¯re a tri-ling." She looked at him, and ran to hug him. She had known something was off, and now she knew what it is. He willingly hugged her back while she cried. He felt bad for the lies told to her. So he decided he would help her. ~Chapter 3~ Looking at her, "Bad" now smiling because he is glad she was feeling okay enough to actually talk to him. He thought she''d never tell him what she felt. And he ended up helping her. "Here, why don''t you just sit down, and I will make something for you to eat. Yeah?" She looks at him, and nods her head. "Can I have a turkey sandwich with a slice of cheese please?" He looks at her and smiles his joker grin. He puts her on the rainbow wolf chair in the kitchen, goes to the fridge decorated in all sorts of pictures of him, along with an orange and brown clothed female, whom doesn''t ever show up to see "Bad". Looking at that photo, he removes it before Athene can see it. He really doesn''t want her asking questions about his mother. He finishes making her sandwich, gives it to her, then he chooses a normal brown chair with a cushion to sit in. Looking across the table at her, he notices she''s trying not to look at his ears. He laughs. "What''s so funny?" She asks. He just smiles even more. Realizing he''s starting to blush, he looks away from her and tells her "Nothing." "I don''t think it''s nothing." She quips. She''s now focusing on him with a look in her eyes that tells him ''You better not be lying to me, your not good at it.'' He squirms from being under her gaze, and feeling uncomfortable, gets up and goes to the sink to get some water. After he''s stood there for a good 5 minutes, with her looking at his back with that same look, he goes back to her, only to pull her out of the chair, into what looks like a study, and plops her on to a really cushiony love seat. Not getting a say at all, she glares at him when she questions, "Why did you just do that?! and what.in.the.WORLD?! Why didn''t you answer my damn question?!" Suprised, Grim Wolfgang Badwolf looks at her and states, "The hell... I- huuuhhhhh" He sighs. "It''s not your fucking business what I was laughing at. If you so badly want to fucking know, I was laughing at how cute you where while trying not to look at my ears. Which, by the way, I don''t care if you do. It doesn''t offend me." He stops, realizing he was shouting at the poor, scared, little thing. The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement. Athene, scared stiff, starts to back away from the furious wolf. "Please don''t hurt me!" She begs. "Bad" angry at himself, crouches in front of the girl and says, "What''s your name sweetie? I''m sorry, I never meant to scare you. I SWEAR I won''t hurt you." Athene, not expecting his answer, says in a very small voice, "Athene, and yours?" "It''s Grim. PLEASE DON''T call me BIG BAD. I don''t like that name. And I''m a junior. But DON''T call me that either. I AM the BIG BAD WOLF''s child, but he NEVER meant to hurt ANYONE. Do you understand?" "Wow. Yes I do. An- Can I call you ''Wolf''?" Looking at her and seeing the way she looks, he says, "yes. it''s part of my middle name actually.." She looks at him, and giggles. "funny... hey, do you think you could show me around? I- wait... this feeling, I have felt it before.. wait, your the one that kept me from being cold when I was a baby weren''t you?!" Grim, remembering all too well, just nods his head for he was back in the memory''s of the past. Athene, seeing the look on his face, stood up, which made her loom over Grim, and hugged him. Leaning back into her hug, Grim felt peaceful for the first time since his mother''s death. |-she doesn''t come see him because she has no more ability too. She''s a ghost.-| Grim looked at her and said in a hushed voice, "Thank you, my precious kit." Looking at him, she asked, "Say what? I''m your kit huh?" Grim giving a small hushed chuckle, replies, "Well, I can''t call you ''love'', now can I? Glaring she quips, "Fuck, go for it. Hell, I felt a romantic pull to you the first second I saw you. Why else would I have blushed a lot?!" He looks at her, and said "Wow, okay. Love, why don''t I show you around now?" He gives off his wolfish grin, and gets up, pulling her to him with a questioning look in his eyes. "Yes." She squeaked. "And I was also okay with ''KIT''." She leans on his arm and walks with him. ~Chapter 4~ Looking at the following surroundings, Athene, Aka ''KIT'', gaped at how much ''Wolf'' had on the walls and in display cases. "You have so many pretty objects, how did you get all of these?" She says in pure awe. Looking at "kit", Grim shrugs and with a wolfish grin he replied, "Well my love, the Bad''s have had this land for a really long time; At least since the witching times. My family were friends with the Cromwell witches. Sadly, there are none left to this day." "My grandma used to say, ''give as good as one gets'' so what happened to them for them to be burned? the witches I mean..." She says in response. I really want to answer your curiosity, but I don''t know how.. I''m sorry." Kit looks at him in an apologetic way, and says "I''m sorry. I shouldn''t have asked." She looks at Grim and hugs him tight. "Thank you for understanding my love. It means the world to me." He hugs her back with a sad smile, sighing when he lays his cheek on the top of her head.
