 The First Meeting

    The One Moon Chapter 1


    A little boy about the age of 3 was walking around a small living room looking for food to eat. He was starving. His dad was sitting on the brown table near the fridge he was walking to. The little boy who observed his father knew that food always came out of the big white machine. As he walked towards the fridge, his soles started bleeding.


    ¡°Ugh¡­¡±


    A boy 16 years of age started moaning.


    ¡°Why did these memories come back to haunt me today out of all days? I worked a lot and studied so much yesterday. I want to sleep!¡± He said aloud.


    Every once in a while, Han Moonhan gets dreams like this that wake him up. It interrupts his sleep cycle and he never gets enough sleep. Since he was already woken up, he decided to go roam the streets of Hongdae to distract his mind from his nightmare.


    Moonhan lives in a goshiwon about 3 meters big. The dorm was cheap so he lived there. Coincidentally, it¡¯s also close to Hongdae. The neighborhood of music arts.


    Wearing his black fabric mask, he roamed the noisy streets. While he was roaming, a loud boom startled him. He turned around and saw a chaotic band of boys singing and dancing along to a rock band. The way they managed to dance and move their feet to keep up with the beat looked interesting to him so walked closer to observe the scene.


    When he got there, a boy a little shorter than him and looked about his age, grabbed a microphone and started singing. Unexpectedly, his voice was angelic but it was still strong enough to match the theme and rhythm of the rock band. Along with that, the boy, who Moonhan noticed had dyed his hair light brown was moving his feet quite swiftly to match his team members¡¯ dance after                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        he finished his line. Like a marching band that was all uniform, the dancing boys though all look different all danced synchronized together like they had the same mind and he was intrigued at how every one of them somehow connected to one another¡­

    ¡°Sigh¡­¡± Moonhan was impressed but his emotions started to overwhelm him. The speakers started getting louder as the boys were finishing up their dance and it allowed for his emotions to get louder too. Moonhan started to breathe heavily and his hearbeat was getting faster. His heart burned. It wasn¡¯t his first panic attack so he knew calming down wouldn¡¯t be too hard but it still scared and embarrassed him that his attack had to be in front of a big crowd and the talented dancers and singers.


    ¡°I can¡¯t¡­ No!!¡± He started hyperventilating and fell to his knees clutching his chest. The people around asked if he was okay but he couldn¡¯t respond. He just kneeled there continuing to breathe heavy trying to control it.


    This caused people to yell out for help and for anyone who was a doctor. Then, a man in dark hair with tints of blue started to walk toward the people yelling for help at the scene of Moondae. He crouched down and started talking in a soothing voice.


    ¡°It¡¯s okay, if something happens, I¡¯ll help you out. For now, try to relax and get calm.¡±


    As he was saying this, he tried to take off Moonhan¡¯s mask. But was rejected¡­ Moonhan picked up his hands and open his five fingers to motion him not to. Moonhan took the mask off himself instead. Seeing this, his hands backed away. Knowing that the boy was not in immediate danger and didn¡¯t really want help, he started telling others that he was okay and that the best thing to do was to go back to their everyday life.


    This group of people didn¡¯t listen and was yelling at him that the boy was dying and doing nothing would kill him.


    ¡°Everyone staring at him won¡¯t help him calm down.¡± He says.


    ¡°He¡¯ll be fine, panic attacks are quite common at my company and I know more than you.¡±


    The group glared at the rich-looking know-it-all. Gossiping about him loudly as they walked away.


    ¡°Damn, if he wasn¡¯t wealthy, I¡¯d probably be on his ass right now¡­¡±

    Moonhan also heard this and felt bad for the man but was thankful since he did not want attention and eyes looking at him wouldn¡¯t be comfortable for him.


    The tall man who noticed Moonhan was already trying to calm down guessed that he probably had panic attacks before and that he would be okay soon. That was why he decided to distance him from other people and the attention because it was a normal mishap and didn¡¯t want to create a bigger scene near his trainee¡¯s stage. The worse that can happen is police and ambulance cars interrupting the recording.


    As the situation died down, Moonhan¡¯s breathing was better and he moved to the side in a corner sitting on a public bench.


    ¡°I shouldn¡¯t have done that.¡± He said quietly closing his eyes and looking up. Moonhan felt that his body was stupid. He had to go into a panic in the middle of the crowd of people. ¡°What an embarrassment¡±, he thought to himself.


    ¡°Oh, and why shouldn¡¯t you?¡± Said the man who helped him. He had heard the quiet mumbles.


    Moonhan didn¡¯t notice he was following him.


    Moonhan was surprised. He stood up and bowed down 90 degrees.


    ¡°Thank you for helping me! What can I do to repay you? If you would like, I can clean your shoes!¡±


    Moonhan who panicked said the words he remembered saying to bullies. They were not the right choice of words but he figured it was okay since it was still a repayment method.


    The man didn¡¯t expect the boy to offer to clean his shoes.


    ¡°What an interesting idea to repay someone¡±, he thought. He started chuckling to himself and stopped and told the boy to stand straight.


    *A Goshiwon is a small and economical living quarters. It is inexpensive and doesn''t require a deposit. Also, some Goshiwons have private showers and are fully furnished.

 Moonhan Gets Convinced

    Moonhan raised his head. He wondered what the man would want while looking at him and waiting for what he was going to say next.


    ¡°First, I will introduce myself. My name¡¯s Seo Jisung, call me Mr. Seo. What¡¯s yours?¡±


    ¡°My name is Han Moonhan.¡±


    ¡°I see, what a name.¡± It reminded him of the meaning of Han to some Koreans and combining it together with the moon made it a lonely name.


    Knowing Mr. Seo probably thought of its meaning. All Moonhan could do was nod his head.


    ¡°Then, Moonhan, I saw you were quite into the trainees. Before you went into your panic attack, I saw your eyes sparking. Are you interested in becoming an idol?¡±


    Moonhan, hearing him mention idols, thought he should¡¯ve guessed the occupation of those boys faster as idols were very popular nowadays. But, even though it was cool and interesting to him, he didn¡¯t think he could be one.

    Seeing his longing eyes to the trainees resting, Mr. Seo knew he was interested but didn¡¯t want to force him. Mr. Seo needed more trainees as his company is still not very known to debut boy groups.

    The One Moon Chapter 3


    One of the boys who saw them walking told the other boys and they got quiet. Then, a loud and passionate greeting was heard.


    ¡°Hello! Mr. Seo!¡± ¡°Your back.¡± One of the boys said.


    ¡°Introduce yourself, said Mr. Seo.¡±


    The person who greeted Mr. Seo started first.


    ¡°My name¡¯s Kim Jung Hwan. I¡¯m like a leader of these guys and I am 17 years old.¡±


    Junghwan had red hair that was as red as a stoplight which surprised Moonhan how bright it was closer. When he was performing, it was bright but now that he¡¯s closer, he noticed how bright it actually was. His current thought paused as the next person introduced themself.


    ¡°My name is Sato Ren. I like sweet potatoes. Oh, and I¡¯m also 17.¡±


    Ren was calmer than Junghwan and Moonhan thought he was cute that he mentioned he liked sweet potatoes. The next person was the guy who Moonhan was the most amazed at while watching them perform. The boy with light brown hair.

    There were three more people left.


    The next boy was shy and quiet.

    Moonhan thought Siwoo was cute too. Just like a bao, Siwoo had silver hair with chubby cheeks.


    ¡°Okay, my turn!¡± Surprised at the sudden loud voice, Moonhan stumbled and almost fell. The other boys chuckled at the scene.


    ¡°MY NAME IS HOON HARU! I¡¯M 16 AND I LOVE MY MEMBERS. THANK YOU!¡±


    Haru was, let¡¯s say a spectacle. Moonhan thought. Haru was very loud and energetic like a puppy who loves its owner. Unlike, Han even though they were the same age. Haru was a nice kid, Han thought. ¡°Must¡¯ve been raised with lots of love¡± he mumbled.


    A few boys heard this. Siwoo, Ren, and Junghwan along with Mr. Seo. They didn¡¯t think too much of it but Mr. Seo knowing a little of his past felt sad for Moonhan.


    Then, there was one last person.


    ¡°My name is Na Woong. I¡¯m 16 and I like to dance.¡±


    Woong was calm. Han also noticed Woong among the bunch while he was watching perform. His dance lines were so clear and clean and his moves looked so easy even though it was hard. Moonhan knew because he actually took up dancing when he was with his old family¡­ Even though it didn¡¯t last long. Moonhan learned a lot about dancing during that time¡­ His countenance fell a little sad and Woong was worried he said something wrong.


    ¡°Huh, did I say something wrong? I¡¯m sorry! Don¡¯t look so sad.¡±


    ¡°Eh?¡± Moonhan looked up. ¡°Oh no, I¡¯m sorry. I was thinking of something else.¡±


    ¡°Woong nodded at this.¡±


    When they finished their introduction, Mr. Seo said. ¡°Ok, now, Han, it is your turn, you know. You can¡¯t not not introduce yourself, now can you?¡±

 Sleepover?

    Moonhan surprised at the sudden nickname started speaking.


    ¡°Oh, yes¡­ Nice to meet all of you. My name is Han Moonhan. Umm¡­ Oh, I¡¯m 16 like Haru and Ren.¡±


    Mr. Seo then interrupted them.


    ¡°Ok, now that that¡¯s over with. What do you think Han?¡±


    Han thought seriously before responding. After reminiscing about his past dance classes, he was now considering the job on a more happy and open note. He didn¡¯t have to live in a lonely dorm and use the restaurant next door¡¯s restroom anymore. He would be in a new school with a new image and light. He would have nicer people surrounding him. But can he really trust them? What if they bully me or betray me or hit me or worse, he contemplated.


    ¡°Ahh¡­¡± He yelled quietly, the others obviously noticed this as Han pulled on his hair when he did. But, they just waited for him to respond instead of making a big deal.


    ¡°Ok, I will go.¡±


    The other trainees were glad. After all, they only needed one more person to join their group so they can debut next year. Mr. Seo said 7 members would make better dance formations. Also, they thought Han wasn¡¯t a bad person either and had a passion for the idol world. They all saw him when they were performing. Those eyes sparkled and attracted the members.

    ¡°Sigh, fine, fine, what¡¯s your number or email?¡±

    Mr. Seo, happy to see Junghwan volunteer said ¡°Yay, the person I wanted to stay is staying! Junghwan is the person I can trust the most so I¡¯m glad he volunteered. Sorry, you guys but the choice is Junghwan, final. The other two didn¡¯t mind too much, they also knew Junghwan was the best choice but they did complain about how Mr. Seo didn¡¯t even hesitate to choose Junghwan. Eric started muttering how Junghwan is always the favorite and called him the teacher¡¯s pet even though inside he knew Junghwan would be the best pick as he was the most responsible and most understanding.

 Blood?

    The One Moon Chapter 5


    The members and Mr. Seo said their goodbyes after Mr. Seo gave Junghwan some money to pay for the goshiwon room. He didn¡¯t want a young kid to pay for the rent. Moonhan was already living alone and working for himself as a 16 year old. Using his money seemed like such an evil and selfish thing to do.


    Being the oldest, Mr. Seo was less worried for Junghwan. But he did whisper something to him that was left unheard to the others before he left. ¡°I wonder what he told him.¡± Han thought.


    Moonhan lead the way to get to the dorms. Junghwan quietly followed from behind. Moonhan didn¡¯t really know how to start a conversation so he was silent during most of the walk. Junghwan initiated the talks. Since he was going to be the latest member to join and final member, he wanted to know the potential and experience of Moonhan. As a potential leader, he was hoping the best for the group and wanted their debut to be perfect.


    ¡°Moonhan, have you ever had any experience in dancing or singing?¡±


    ¡°Oh, I did learn dancing for a little bit. But I stopped because of my working hours and needed more money.¡±


    ¡°I see, are you good?¡± Junghwan was straightforward with his questions.


    ¡°I¡¯m not the best, but I can handle something like the performance you did today.¡±


    ¡°Oh, really?! That must mean you¡¯re quite good! That dance is quite difficult. Out of 5, I¡¯d say it¡¯s about a 4. Only Woongie can make each part of the dance look seamless.¡±

    Moonhan knew what Junghwan meant, seeing Woong dance, he understood how good of a dancer he was. Moonhan himself is not as good as any of them. He just enjoyed dancing so he managed to copy the moves but never make it look good.

    Junghwan who remembered the conversation, slowly asked questions to Moonhan.


    Moonhan not noticing Junghwan was trying to get information out of him answered the questions one by one. Moonhan just thought it was the work of a leader to get to know his members and trainees to be able to help and control them.


    ¡°So, why do you live by yourself?¡± Junghwan asks as he is jumping on the white lines passing the street¡± .


    Moonhan is not surprised by the question, it¡¯s a common question after all.


    ¡°Well¡­¡± Moonhan didn¡¯t want to reveal his private circumstances yet. Especially about his old family and orphanage life. He decided to tell a little lie.


    ¡°My family passed away.¡± Moonhan thought this was the best to say to avoid further questions about his family being asked.


    ¡°Oh¡­ I¡¯m sorry.¡± Junghwan feeling awkward could not continue to ask about family like Moonhan expected but switched the topic a little.


    ¡°Then, what¡¯s that bruise on¡­y¡­..u¡­.¡± Junghwan gradually got quieter and could not finish his question.¡±


    Red like liquid rained from above. The 2 members looked up and saw a dead goat hanging on the clothes line above them. Junghwan grabbed his mouth and felt like was gonna vomit. While Moonhan was seen already on the ground clutching his head.

 Piggyback Ride

    Junghwan who still had his hands over his mouth went a little closer to Moonhan remembering his earlier panic attack and hoped he was okay.


    ¡°Oi, are you okay?¡±


    Moonhan was visibly shaking and tried to walk to a corner alleyway but he could only stare at the location. Still too shaken to walk.


    ¡°Oh, you wanna go over there.¡± Junghwan who got better. Put Han¡¯s left arm on his shoulder and and his own arm on Han¡¯s waist and basically dragged him to the alleyway.


    Moonhan still breathing a little heavily, started to calm down after arriving at the dark area.

    Junghwan just stared at him in silence. Knew that now was not the time to sneak peak at his past life. He crouched down and showed his back at Moonhan who was laying his back on the wall.


    ¡°What¡­¡± Moonhan confused at the gesture.


    ¡°Get on my back, I¡¯ll carry you. Just tell me the direction of the goshiwon on my back.¡±


    ¡°...¡± He could not refuse. Going through 2 panic attacks in a day was already tiring him out. So he got on his back and put his arms over Junghwan¡¯s neck.


    ¡°Ok, go ahead. Tell me. We need to hurry and go clean this mess off us and lessen those stares at us.¡±


    ¡°Right, ok. We¡¯re almost there, don¡¯t worry. Keep going straight and at the left there will be a old burgundy building named Kiki Goshiwon.¡±


    He felt the tired Moonhan breathe slower. Moonhan was tired and tried not to fall asleep in the 10 minute walk to the dorms but he couldn¡¯t hold it. The tiredness from the dream and the panic attacks got to him. He fell asleep. Junghwan who noticed this, let the younger sleep. He was mad at himself for only doing his job and getting answers from him. The younger who only was one year younger was as light as a feather and lived alone in such a cheap and unhygienic looking goshiwon. He arrived at the goshiwon, stopped, and stared at the building.


    ¡°Sigh, what a pitiful dongseng.¡±


    Dongseng: Younger brother or friend in Korean. Usually used for people close.

 Moonhan Wakes Up

    The One Moon Chapter 7


    Junghwan walked inside the building still wet from the goat blood. The blood got a little dry but was still kind of wet. The owner surprised at the sight of young children in blood told them to go away.


    Junghwan then told him that the guy on his back lives here. ¡°I¡¯m with him, is there a shower I can use?¡±


    The owner peaked at Moonhan. ¡°OMO¡± Han ah! What happened to you! This young child, you still have rent to pay!¡±


    ¡°...¡±


    ¡°Is this how Moonhan is always treated?¡± He felt nauseous at the thought that the owner didn¡¯t care about his situation but the money more.


    Sigh¡­ He stayed calm and asked the lady. ¡°Where¡¯s his room, I want to take a shower.¡± Junghwan forgot about the extra money he received to live in another dorm.


    ¡°Ah¡­ Darling, this goshiwon doesn¡¯t provide restrooms. Moonhan here uses the Chinese restaurant¡¯s restroom next door to shower and clean himself.¡±

    He climbed up the short stairwell to the second floor, trying to keep the younger asleep. He wanted Moonhan to sleep a little more before waking him up to take a shower.


    Once he arrived, he shook Moonhan on his back.


    ¡°Hey, hey. Han, wake up, we are here.¡±


    Moonhan woke up quite easily. Han surprised he fell asleep, got off his back apologized, and thanked Jung-hwan for the assist. Got out his keys and opened his door and was gonna collapse onto the bed but remembered he was dirty.


    ¡°Hey, lend me some clothes. Take a pair for yourself too. Let¡¯s go take a shower. The restaurant closes in 10 minutes.¡±


    Moonhan, surprised he knew that he takes showers at the restuarant, was about to ask but got interrupted.


    ¡°How-...¡±


    ¡°The owner told me.¡±


    ¡°Now hurry up, I want to shower.¡±


    ¡°Yes.¡± Han gave his cleanest shirt, pant, and underwear to Junghwan. Picked up a used pair for himself and walked towards the restaurant.


    The restaurant couple owners were shocked but didn¡¯t question anything as Moonhan smiled and said it was just an accident where goat blood was squirted on them at the butchers. The owners here were nice people. Junghwan noticed that and was glad that Moonhan had kind people on his side.


    They cleaned up in separate showers. Junghwan assumed Moonhan was shy and that was why he showered in the other but in reality, Moonhan couldn¡¯t show Junghwan his bruises and scars.


    They finished and went back together. Junghwan still forgetting about the extra money stayed in at Moonhan¡¯s small room for the night.

 Junghwan Goes Crazy Over Food

    The One Moon Chapter 8


    To Junghwan¡¯s surprise, he saw a black messy-haired boy on the ground studying.


    Moonhan got a lot of sleep the other day so he woke up early. Well, about 5 hours but Moonhan considered that a lot of sleep. Junghwan not knowing this nodded his head and glad that the younger got good sleep.


    ¡°Why don¡¯t you pack up? We have to go the company and deal with your contract and school transfer.¡± said the older.


    ¡°I¡¯m already done packing.¡±


    Moonhan had a backpack stuffed with his stuff. It was a old and cheap looking one in blue that was teared up. There was evidence of reconstruction on the handles of the bag too. It seems it held a lot of stuff.


    Moonhan who noticed that he was gazing at the bag said, ¡°aH, the bag is good quality isn¡¯t it. The couple next door gifted this to me.¡±


    Moonhan was smiling at the thought of the kind restaurant owners. They helped take care of him and he wanted to repay them.  Becoming an idol would help with that too. ¡°I¡¯ll work hard!!¡± He stated.


    Junghwan smiled at him. He decided that he wasn¡¯t a bad person and that he¡¯ll get to know him normally as friends. While on the Bus to Swan Sea Ent. he resolved the issue about what to say to the CEO. He decided to tell him the truth and explain his criticism to him. It wasn¡¯t a good way for team members to get close to each other. Suspecting Moonhan was such a judgemental thing to do.

    ¡°Tch, Moonhan.¡± Eric said with a robotic voice.

    It was time to leave. For the ride, Mr. Seo hired managers and the members all rode this one big van to the show dorms. During the ride, the manager introduced himself. His name was Seo Gaeul. Remembering some celebrities he saw in the restaurants TV at his old home, he waved and smiled to the cameras like he was on the red carpet.


    The cameramen who witnessed this froze and held in their laugh. The members also saw this. The first to laugh at loud was Ren then Siwoo and everyone just started laughing. It was contagious and the cameramen who held it in started laughing too.

    The members toured around the dorm. It was quite bigger than their own dorm and had a recording room, an instruments room, and a 2 shower rooms. There were 3 bedrooms so they still had to sleep with a roommate.


    Junghwan gathered the members up.

    Junghwan gathered all of them up again to ask who wanted to record their self-introduction first. Haru volunteered and decided to record in the instruments room for his self-introduction and the others still thinking about what to say in their introduction waited for Haru to be finished.


    There were two other cameras but the producers wanted the self-introduction videos to be on one camera so that¡¯s what they did

    They all changed their clothes to the suits their manager gave them to change into. Apparently, the theme for the first meeting is like a royal party and they award contestants some sapphire pins. That¡¯s all they knew about it.


    They arrived at the recording area. Similar to the famous Prid101, everyone was introduced one by one and in groups. Except for this time there were just seats and no ranking order the contestants got to choose from.

    During the past week, Moonhan has been visiting Duri a lot. In the morning, and at night and whenever he was free. It made the members a little suspicious. Moonhan kept using different excuses to go out. He spent his free time with Duri instead of his members or even Minato.

    That night he stayed up and followed Han to the Gongshim. As he was about to reach out to him, a cute little kid wearing duck slippers and a duck hat stuck his head and went out to hug Han. He couldn¡¯t interrupt that cute bonding time.

    They arrived at the dorms. Minato and Haruto went back into there''s and Han and Duri went to Swan boys dorm.


    When he opened the door, Eric was standing there.

    Eric who was surprised Moonhan brought Duri also said Hi to Duri but with a questioning tone.

    The One Moon Chapter 32


    Sadly, the members had to leave before they got a chance to talk to Duri. They had a schedule to finish for the day and their first performance was today.


    At the performance stage, it was a size Moonhan was used to. They were performing in the same room they got evaluated and the people watching were the other contestants. Everytime someone performed, although they were going against each other, they cheered loudly for each other.


    At the Swan¡¯s boy¡¯s turn, they went backstage to get ready while the team before them was finishing their stage. They were all pretty nervous.


    ¡°Let¡¯s do this,¡± said Junghwan


    Everyone put their arms around each other''s shoulders and made a circle and cheered.


    ¡°Swan Boy¡¯s, AJA, AJA, AJA!¡± Junghwan said first then everyone repeated after him like a chant.


    They went on stage.

    The show was cruel. On the first ranking, the last three would be eliminated.


    Miyu explained what was going to happen and everyone was shocked. Out of 10, three contestants/groups would be gone.


    Miyu ensured that they shouldn¡¯t be too depressed and keep on moving. Then, he announced the rankings starting from the top three.

    Buzz Boys was the group with Jeon Taehyun. Han having a connection with them clapped a little louder for them.


    ¡°Second place is Park Jonghyuk!¡± He was a solo contestant that was very good at singing and dancing. Han thought he was really cool.

    Woong¡¯s time ended and sat down at the area that said Shining Star in the audience.


    ¡°Now, is the time to randomly choose your unit. The first three names that get pulled out this box will be automatically be put into Woong¡¯s group.¡±


    Contestants were worried. Some didn¡¯t want the song because they knew it was difficult, some wanted it because they liked the difficulty.

    A J boys member was chosen. Akira walked to the seats near Woong and fist-bumped him. The two knew each other and their talents.     3rd place is Woong. He and Haru were one vote different. Woong decided to stay.


    4rd place is Lee Hangyeol. He also decided to stay.


    5th place is Park Jonghyuk. He didn¡¯t need to worry about teammates but it was going to be harder for him to gain overall points in each unit like groups would be able to. He thought it was unfair. He decided to join Warrior. It was a song he liked and trained a lot. He switched with Victor.


    Now, it¡¯s the people who can just be added onto a group instead of replacing someone.


    6th place is Nakamura Minato. He stayed.


    7th place is Zhou Lichen. His looks were mature and very sharp. Moonhan had his eyes on him for a while. He looked very familiar to him. ¡°Must be because he¡¯s so handsome.¡± He accidentally said aloud. Minato laughed. Kenta also heard and chuckled. Lichen heard too, turned back, and smiled.


    Moonhan got embarrassed and turned red.


    Lichen decided to stay.


    8th place is Jeon Taehyun. He joined Warrior¡¯s group.


    9th is Akira, he decided to stay.


    10th was Sato Ren. Ren decided to stay.

    Moonhan went inside their room and grabbed towels to take a shower. He helped wash up Duri a little and Duri managed to clean up after himself and went to bed. Moonhan took a shower in cold water. Showering in hot water was always a little uncomfortable for him and cold water helped him sleep better. When he finished, he looked at himself in the mirror. At the scar that ran from his chest to his private area. It was another his dad gave to him. He had another bruise on his shoulders from being pushed down all the time when he was in the orphanage. Few small ones on his arms but they were basically healed. 3 on his back. One was a scar shaped in an X. One was a scar that was written. It said DALDIe. The ¡®e¡¯ was barely noticeable because it wasn¡¯t deep enough in his skin and healed. The biggest on his back were burn marks from hot water. Because it was never taken care of, the scar looked ugly and horrendous. His other wounds were bruises and such that only hurt from time to time and many were healed. The ones on his soles were bound to stay there forever in Han¡¯s opinion. Every time Han would do something that his father didn¡¯t like. His father would constantly say ¡°I love you¡± through his soles with a knife to make him listen.


    As Moonhan was thinking about his memories and experiences, his soles and scars started burning. He slightly remembered the experiences and it always hurt him. The only scars that is not fully healed are the burn marks and extra bruises but the wounds with the most memories tend to haunt him. Especially, the DALDIe and I love you scars. He stayed in the restroom for quite a while.


    Haru needed to use the restroom. Again, Han forgot to lock the doors. Haru opened up and saw Han laying on the wall naked sweating with teary eyes.

    Duri didn¡¯t pick up the milk. ¡°I said I could handle it¡­¡± He felt sad that the older gave him milk because he didn¡¯t want to be seen as weak.

    ¡°Hmm, there is a lot of good dancers, but I think Woong is very good, in my opinion. Since he¡¯s a member. I¡¯ve seen him dance up close a lot and always surprised at how concise and smooth his moves are.¡± He said.

    Moonhan voted for Park Jonghyuk for most well-rounded. Jonghyuk was very good at both vocal, dance, and his personality was nice in Moonhan¡¯s opinion.


    He voted for Minato as most cute. Minato had cute cheeks and a babyface. He also mentioned how he was childhood friends with Minato too.


    ¡°Who do I think is most handsome?¡± From when I saw Lichen, I have to say he¡¯s got the best visuals. His looks are dashing and sharp and also, he looks nice and gentle even though his jaw is sharp.¡± The cameramen laughed at his explanation.


    Other fun questions were asked too.


    ¡°Who are you most closed to?¡± Moonhan said Minato.


    ¡°Who is the funniest?¡± Voted for his own member Haru.


    ¡°Who would be the best actor?¡± He thought for a while but chose Akira. He thought Akira had the best facial expressions so he voted for him.


    ¡°The most charming?¡± Moonhan had trouble. Everyone had a good personality and was charming. He chose Lichen again. Lichen was a good cook and helped Duri so he chose him. Those traits of Lichen were charming to Moonhan.


    Then, the last question was who he thought was the best rapper and he chose Kenta. He did contemplate a little on Vincent and Kenta but chose Kenta in the end. He said it was hard to choose between the two and chose Kenta because he was currently his team member. Moonhan¡¯s group was the last to vote. After everyone finished voting, they had another 2 hours to practice. After that, they gathered in the main room again.

    Everyone was in their seats with their unit group. Miyu walked out and revealed that he would reveal the results of the voting.


    ¡°I hope everyone¡¯s practice went well. Then, we¡¯ll get straight to the point. Out of everyone¡¯s individual votes, I will reveal the top voted for each category.¡±


    ¡°The contestant that got voted as best vocal is¡­¡­ Chun Eric! Congrats for gaining the reputation as the best vocalist.¡± Moonhan knew Eric was a great singer and expected him to win. He chose Jaehyun because his voice was his taste. He applauded for Eric as he won first place as best vocal voted among the contestants.


    Miyu continued announcing the rest. Jonghyuk was voted as best dancer, and well-rounded, Siwoo was voted as the cutest, Akira was voted as most handsome, Haru was voted as most charming, Vincent was voted as best rapper, the funniest was tied between Daesung and Josh, and best actor was Shinichi Akio. When the results were all released a big board of the pictures that were used to vote came rolling out.


    ¡°Now, the results are out. Everyone can go take a look at their picture and see your results. Who voted for who obviously is not going to be there, however if you decide to reveal it then people will know who you vote for. Not that it matters much anyway, when the episode is released, everyone will know who you voted for. Ok, go ahead and look.¡¯


    Everyone slowly stood up and went to the board. Each contestant takes out their own photo from the wall and flips it around to see the result. All together, there are 29 individuals on the show and 7 overall contestants either as groups or by themself as a refresh.


    Moonhan¡¯s photo was moved to the top. He couldn¡¯t reach it. He sighed. He started jumping to get the picture down.

He was going to help out Moonhan since he was taller and was near, but then Moonhan suddenly pulled a pole out to poke the photo to fall down. Vincent realized he didn¡¯t need to help. Then, unexpectedly, Moonhan watched the photo fall down and sat down with it, then picked it up instead of just simply picking up the photo or catching it in the air.


    ¡°Hehe¡±, he laughed a little clearer.


    Moonhan heard the nearby laugh from the side and went closer to Vincent as he was confused about the whole situation. He asked the person who was the nearest to him.


    Since everyone was still wearing microphones to record their audio for filming, his question was heard around the room.


    ¡°Vincent, are my clothes weird?¡± Moonhan questioned whether the laughter came from his awkward actions and clothing like last time.


    ¡°....haha, No, Monhan. It¡¯s just you were quite funny when you sat down with the photo to pick it up...¡±


    ¡°Oh¡­I see¡± Han still not really seeing why that was funny.


    ¡°Heh, don¡¯t worry Moonhan, it was a cute scene too.¡± Vincent said.


    ¡°...¡± Moonhan was just quiet.


    The members laughed the most because they knew why he asked that question. Some cameramen who were there at the scene last time laughed too. Moonhan was naive and innocent at times that made him seem surprisingly funny and cute.

    Chapter 1


    The sun was bright, his body was sore. Kian felt sick. He lifted up his shirt too see the dark bruise on his side and stomach.

    Kian only had 2 more weeks till graduation from Highschool. Using this as motivation, he got up applied ointment, washed up, changed his clothes and walked out into the kitchen. It was quiet. A large empty room with no one in it except him made him miss his family. His dad worked as a firefighter so he went in and out a lot depending on the situation and his sister was an office worker who always came home later in the evening.


    Kian walked towards a room and opened the door. It was a room for his mother who passed. She died when he was born so he never knew what kind of person she was. His sister would always tell him that she was very nice and caring. He greeted her.


    ¡°Good Morning, mother. I¡¯m about to go to school. As always, I hope you can watch over me and wish me the best. Thanks.¡±


    Kian always wished someone was watching over him whenever he attended school. He was alone at school and was a victim to bullying. When it first started, he asked and begged the bullies to stop hurting him. After a while, he just stopped. No one helped him and the bullies never listened to him. He let them do what they want with him. He was a coward who could never go against them. He hated himself for that but there was nothing he could do.


    ¡°It¡¯s better to get it over with¡­¡± He arrived at school and one of the students who was part of the gang of bullies called him over. Kian sighed and got himself ready to go through beatings. He walked over.


    ¡°Kekeke, Helloo, Kian¡­¡± He said disgustingly while licking his lips. This guy was one of the perverted bullies. Kian was glad he never did anything to him but he felt that something was up today and hoped that it was just him.


    The bully pulled him closer and dragged him into a small alleyway a little distance away from the school.

    The bully bit his stomach like a rabid dog. For some reason, the bullies never did anything harsh or perverted to him. He was surprised at the sudden change.

    The bully bit onto his stomach again and even harder at the same area as his other injuries.


    ¡°AH!¡± Kian uncounsiously pushed him away not used to this kind of punishment.


    The two guys who were hiding came out and pinned Kian down.


    The perverted bully walked up to Kian.

    ¡°What gif¡­¡± Kian then remembered. There was once a time when the guys stopped hurting him if Kian promised to give them a gift before he graduates. Kian begged for them to stop and that he¡¯d do anything in return. That day was his mom¡¯s death anniversery and he had to go before his family suspects that somethings wrong. Because of that, he decided to accept the suspicious deal to give a gift.

    ¡°KEKE,¡± he got bit again, but this time on his chest.


    The two guys who were pinning him down motioned for more guys in hiding to come out. Four other guys came out.


    ¡°...¡± Kian felt like there was no chance of escaping. Tears fell down his eyes and he gave up.


    ¡°Hoho, Good boy.¡± One of the new guys caressed his hand onto his stomach and squeezed his injuries and another made more bite marks.


    Kian was crying and wailing, he thought he was going to die. No one was coming to help him like always.


    ¡°Why¡­¡± His voice muffled because of the pain and perverted hands around him.


    Not hearing what he said, one of the guys went closer to his face. Kian turned away from him but he turned it back.

    The guy got closer to his neck and bit into it.

    The 7 guys bombarded him with injuries everywhere. From bites to slaps to punches. Kian couldn¡¯t handle it. He was getting tired, his body was physically dying. He hated the hands that were haressing him. He hated the feeling that he moaned for them when they slipped into his pants. He whimpered.
