    The water spills and sshes beneath the feet of the running wolves, crossing the river to the border. The full moon rises in the sky, shining like a


    white pearl. It lightens the ck woods where two rogues are running for their life.


    The paddy feet are silent and alert in the direction they are heading. but the pack behind them is closer than they thought. The woods scream silently,


    and the dark souls are wide awake. The naive animals are hiding under theyers of earth,ying silently.


    The rogues have crossed the borders of the Territory but their troubles are never ending.


    ¡°Markus! We can¡¯t run away from this, not any longer. They are close and they will take the most precious thing from us.¡± Delfina cries.


    Markus stops in the track, ¡°we need time to think for an escape. I know the time is hard but it will pass. We oath to keep him protected under us, if we


    fail, the entire existence of ck Alphas will go extinct.


    Delfina cries and wipes her tears. She transforms into her human form and reveals to be carrying a baby in a small basket.


    ¡°We might have crossed the borders but they can sense our breaths. If we stop breathing, they can¡¯t detect us and we will protect him.¡± Delfina


    states.


    ¡°No! I can not allow you to do this. We will keep him safe. He is the future of ck Alpha n and I will raise him.¡± Markus hisses.

    Markus stands still on the foreign territory as he senses entities approaching him. He is alert with his will to face them. The pack of wolves encircles


    him and the leader steps out to initiate the conversation between them.

    Markus smirks and turns to face the bold and fearless Alpha of the rival pack, ¡°who said I surrender? I am here to whoop your ass.¡± He growls and


    shifts into a wolf.


    Markus attacks Alpha and rips its throat, killing him on the spot. His eyes turn blood lusted, and he attacks other wolves. The stranded ce turns into


    a bed of blood and bodies. Markus keeps on the fight until the one approaches him and hits on his head.


    His vision blurs, and he falls on the ground. The big white foot of the wolf makes the other wolves bow down to him.

    After a while, a manes to supervise the work done by his workers and notices the little baby crying. He gets confused and looks for anyone to


    ask. When he finds no one, he holds the baby and sings a luby to make him sleep peacefully.


    He asks his men if the baby belongs to them but everyone shook their head. He wonders how the little baby can appear from nowhere to near his


    truck. As he wanders a little farther away from the cabin, he nces at a wolf sitting under a shady bush.


    Something hits in his mind and he looks at the wolf carefully. We know the woods for the variety of wild animals but he sees the wolf for the first time


    in his entire career. Somehow, he can feel the pain of the wolf from his eyes.


    He takes the baby with him and asks his workers to leave the cabin as scon as possible. He can¡¯t take risks for the men working with him.


    Delfina cries silently to see his baby getting away from her but that is the only way to keep him safe. She can''t reach the humannd by herself so


    she handed the child to the humans. With a heavy heart. she leaves the ce and wanders in the woods by epting fate.


    The ground beneath her feet vibrates with the motion of running paws. It makes her alert of the approaching enemy; she makes herself prepare for

    The woods and the fire. killing innocent animals, engulfing them inside. The horrendous view to ughter makes a cub, shiver in fear. He runs without


    an aim in the ck woods to find a shelter but it fills his lungs with smoke and gas by the fire started by an enemy wolf.


    He is a big and dangerous wolf who gazes aggressively at the poor cub. The steady and firm steps approach the scared cub andshes at him with


    his sharp canines.


    Suddenly, an adolescent man wakes up from the terrible dream and gasps for air.

    The sweat drenched me from head to toe, as I woke up from the most terrible dream I sawst night. I rub my hands over my face, wiping the sweat


    away. My throat aches from dryness, and I gulp the water directly from the bottle.


    The eyes hurt because ofck of sleep these days. No matter what, I try to sleep, I always wake up in the middle of the night seeing these dreadful


    dreams from a few days ago.


    I got up from the bed and went to take a cold shower. It rxes my hot skin when the coldness of water prates into my skin. I dress for the


    college, being a third-year student in biochemistry. I am a geek nerd, but a cute nerd.


    I approach the dining table and gaze at my mother who is serving delicious pancakes to my dad.

    I walk to the bus stop and take the first coach to reach my college. Being a topper in the school, it granted me a schrship and allowed me to get


    admission in one of the best colleges in Copenhagen.


    Being one of the most expensive cities in the whole Denmark, they curse the education with money. I did not want to burden my parents for my


    education so I worked hard on it to achieve it. Books, notes, and the library are my priorities when the kids of my age are at parties, boozing and


    going on trips to have fun. Life is not the same for everyone.


    I cross the primary entrance of the college but my awful luck that my favorite bully is waiting for like usual.

    Today, we have a test in ss and he wants me to help, actually help him copy my answers. As I take more steps towards my ssroom, I feel a tap

    The birds are chirping early this morning and wake up before my rm hits. That''s not usual for me to wake up early on days but i have this weird


    feeling in my guts since Dad proposed about the vacation. Something is going to happen, best or worst, the time will tell


    I descend the staircase and run to the kitchen, finding mom and dad asleep. I grabbed a jacket from the hanger and went out to get some fresh air. I


    lave the smell of air, woods and soil. Sometimes, I feel that I belong somewhere in the woods but the drastic nightmare made me afraid of the


    woods.-


    I agreed to go on the trip because I want to see my parents happy. But, since yesterday, i can¡¯t shrug this feeling from my head. I can''t find peace in


    this. After my morning walk, I came back home and took a shower. I hear scattering of utensils, Mom is waking up and she is preparing something in


    the kitchen


    I got dressed and went to the kitchen. I greet my parents and eat my breakfast in silence.

    wolf pixted on the enormous screen. I keep looking at the picture of the wolf like he is looking at me. I was never fond of carnivorous animals but


    like one got my attention

    sleep. After a while, not sure how much time has passed but something strikes my nostrils which makes me wake up immediately. An irresistible

    She is cutting some veggies and I help her too. Then, Dad takes me to the woods to collect some spare wood to cook the food. He ignites the


    barbeque and mom prepares the gravy.


    ¡°We will go for a hunt, tomorrow. I hope you will like it son.¡± dad mentions.


    ¡°Hunt? For what?¡±

    I scrunch my eyebrows and press my lips in a t line. To be honest, I am not excited with his new idea but I will help him

    Suddenly, I heard rustling of the leaves behind me and I let my guards up in defence but what came out of those trees made my jaw drop to the


    ground. A girl? I guess she is a native but she doesn''t look like she belongs here.


    Her mesmerising long dark mane is like the ck clouds covering the sky to pour the rain and her hypnotising grey eyes are the ocean of deep

    The night is getting intense. but its darkness fades away under the magnificent light of the moon. The girl standing in front of me, I don''t know who.

    ¡°What the fuck??" I scream and run without looking back. Don¡¯t know where I am heading to, the only thing of concern for me was to escape from a


    shifting wolf. I hate the idea ofing to this ce and now I will regret it. I am going to die.

    vision blurs when I lose my sses on the way back. The sky was clear but now I can see the stars closely.


    The darkness creeps over my head and I fall unconscious, my eyes close but I focus on one thing in front of me, A wolf.


    Suddenly, I woke up on the bed, panting heavily and catching breath like there is no more oxygen left on the. I sweat badly. I am drenched and


    I run out of the cabin. I panicked but calmed down immediately when I saw my parents talking to a security officer.


    ¡°Onyx! Are you okay? You scared us!¡± Mom kisses my forehead.


    ¡°We were so worried for you.¡± dad snaps.


    ¡°What happenedst night?" I ask them and they look back at me with the same confusion.


    ¡°We found you in the woods, passed out.¡± Mom whispers and the security officer approaches me.


    ¡°Are you okay, son? The wood is dangerous at night, you should stay in your cabin. Thank Jesus that you are alive and safe.


    I nod my head and the security officer left afterpleting his formalities.


    ¡°Why did you go for a walk in the woods,st night?¡± Mom scolds me.


    ¡®I can''t sleep.¡±


    ¡°Let it go, honey! He learned his lesson and we are here to enjoy it.¡± Dad saves my life this time
