《The Lost Luna Princess》 Chapter 1 Chapter 1 Jason¡¯s POV ¡°What have you done?¡± Nick, the kings gamma shouted. All eyes turning to me as he stood over the lifeless body of a pack warriorying on the ground. Feeling the heat from his eyes as they burned into my own, I began to shift into my wolf ready to fight my way out. As beta of the Royal Pack, I was stronger than Nick but still had to get past the pack warriors also present. I brought my wolf ke forward as quick as I could knowing I would need him to escape my sealed fate. Once I had shifted ke took control lunging straight for Nick however, he rolled to the side shifting into his own wolf. ke has dark brown fur and is slightly bigger than Nicks sandy coloured wolf Haze. Loud snarls filled the room as both our wolves circled each other. ¡°Join us Nick, join us or fall with the rest.¡± I shouted through our mind link. A link that was only possible being we are from the same pack. Without responding Haze barrelled into us sending ke flying into the wall with a thud. I felt my wolf¡¯s anger as our invitation had been refused. Before I know it ke is back on all fours pinning Haze to the floor. The sound of feral growls and the heavy thud of paws sounded like thunder drawing closer as more pack warriors arrived. I knew I was running out of time. With a hard bite and a kick, I rendered Haze unconscious and threw myself out the window. ke¡¯s fall was softened by the pink rose bushes that Luna Vanessa the queen of the royal pack had nted just that spring with the help of her daughter Princess Angel who only recently turned 2. Angel looked so much like her mother, and I could only wonder if she would be as beautiful when she was older. ¡°I guess we will never know as for our n to work the whole royal bloodline needs to be eradicated¡± ¡°I know ke, but I can¡¯t help but feel guilty at the thought of taking the life of an innocent child¡± Though I knew Luna Vanessa would be upset once she saw the ttened rose bush, I knew nothing would anger her more than finding out I had betrayed her and my alpha king. See I had been approached by a group of rogues roughly six months ago asking for my help to be part of the royal pack. I had gotten them an audience with the Alpha King William, yet they were refused a ce in the pack. They weren¡¯t refused due to being rogues as Alpha William always believed everyone deserved a second chance, however he denied them because they wouldn¡¯t disclose what made them be rogues. His duty as Alpha king meant he had to have the best interests of the pack when it came to their safety, so the rogues not telling him what they had done meant they could be very dangerous and were not to be trusted. I was asked to escort the Rogues to the border of our territory which was just one more thing to piss me off, as being a Beta I felt this shouldn¡¯t be my job but that of a pack warrior. The rogues could see I was nearing myst straw and told me that they would help me to be the Alpha King if I was to help them destroy the royal family we had now giving them superior roles within the pack. At first, I refused and threatened to kill them if they tried anything but after a few more weeks of being given jobs that should have been given to other pack members I sought out the rogues and took them up on their offer, from there forming our n. - Alpha Kings POV It had been three months since I had denied the rogues sanctuary, and all had been quiet since. Or at least until this afternoon. After getting a mind link from my guards at the western border I immediately told my gamma Nick to get Vanessa and my daughter Angel to the safe room in the pce. Knowing they were safe would mean I wouldn¡¯t be distracted while we got rid of the threat that Was making its way through mynd. I sent a mind link out to the rest of the pack telling them to get themselves and their families into the bunkers under their homes, hoping to have only my pack warriors out meaning less casualties. I made my way to the balcony on the edge of my pce, this faced the direction in which the enemy wasing from. It didn¡¯t take long before the putrid smell of rotten eggs hit my nose, telling me that the rogues were almost here. Just as I was about to shift my head warrior Owen mind linked me telling me that my gamma Nick had been found unconscious on the floor in one of the rooms on the second floor of the pce, in the south wing. The wing in which was reserved for the beta and his family once they had one. To say I was confused was an understatement, how had a rogue gotten into the pce undetected. They weren¡¯t the strongest of wolves as they didn¡¯t tend to run in packs meaning they wouldn¡¯t have ess to the strength thates from being part of one. Let alone having the ability to conceal their scent. ¡°Alpha I have been informed that beta Jason is aiding the rogues¡± Owens rmed voice rang out in my mind. ¡°How did you find this out¡± I replied needing to know exactly what was going on. This was a serious usation to make against a ranked pack member. ¡°One of the warriors witnessed the beta attacking the gamma, right before leaping from a window at the end of the corridor on the betas floor and running in the direction of the rogues¡± Owen confirmed. I sent a mind link to all of the pack warriors and civilians alerting them not to trust beta Jason. I wanted him captured if found, I would be interrogating him when this was over. Chapter 2 Chapter 2 Alpha Kings POV I raced down to the safe room using my enhanced speed to check that Nick had gotten my family to safety before he had confronted Jason. As I entered the staircase that led to the safe room my nose was hit with the coppery smell of fresh blood. Fear and anger flooded my senses, and my wolf Maximus was growling in my head. He was just as pissed as I was promising to make Jason and everyone else involved pay. As I rounded the corner the corridor walls were sttered with blood and the lifeless bodies of two guards were torn apart on the ground. Maximus spoke in my head telling me what I already knew. The scent from down here wasn¡¯t that of the rogues but of my lifetime friend and beta Jason. I flung the safe room door open and there on the floor was my beautiful mate and queen. Vanessa was alive but her injuries were bad, she wasn¡¯t healing, and I could smell wolfsbane in her blood. ¡°That bastardced the knife in poison¡± Maximus confirm what I was thinking. I pulled the sliver knife from her abdomen, the smell of burning flesh entered my nose as it seared the skin in my hand. My face began to feel wet from the tears that fell from my eyes at the sight of Vanessa. I knew she wouldn¡¯t survive this the blood loss was too much and the wolfsbane with silver prevented the healing process from working. Through our mate bond I could feel her pain, her fear and her anger. She opened her beautiful blue eyes that once looked like the sparkling reflection of the ocean noticing how they had now darkened, tears falling from them onto her beautiful wless face. She looked at me and with her soft voice she said one thing that made me feel as if my world had ended. ¡°Angel¡±. Maximus was using all of his strength to try ande to the surface knowing that our pup was missing, it took every ounce of power I had to hold him back. And with that I felt my heart tear into pieces. My Vanessa slipped away. I felt our bond fade leaving nothing but emptiness and the feeling that half of me had died. I couldn¡¯t hold Maximus back any longer and with a deafening howl I gave him control. - Luna Queens POV It had been a long day; I had gone back to my room to settle Angel as the festivities had worn her out and she was beginning to be fussy. There was a sudden knock on the door before it burst open startling me. William had ordered Nick to get me and our daughter to safety so he could lead the road to victory against the rogues that had entered our territory ughtering a few of the guards that were on patrol. ¡°Follow me Luna and keep close¡± Nick shouts as we run down the corridors of the pce. I had Angel in my arms as she was somehow able to sleep through all of what was happening. Pack warriors rushed past us as they went outside shifting into their wolves heading towards the western borders. I wished that William wasing with us, but I knew that being alpha and king to the royal pack meant he needed to be by his fighter¡¯s sides, giving them strength and courage as he stands with them. ¡°Luna wait here¡± Nick whispers in a soft tone, my eyes widened as the smell of rotten eggs came from the staircase leading from the basement. ¡°Rogues¡± I replied. I wished I too could fight beside my pack as I was a skilled warrior before I became a mum. William didn¡¯t like the fact I would fight when needed but he knew he couldn¡¯t stop me. Myself and my wolf Diamond enjoyed the hunt. Diamond was an ivory colour wolf with green eyes that resembled emeralds. I too am the daughter of a pure-blooded alpha, and I was a direct descendant of the moon goddess, meaning I was stronger than many Lunas. My wolfs colour was rare confirming we were of special blood. As I held Angel closer to my chest Nick rounded the corner my heartbeat thumping away as I hoped that he wouldn¡¯t be overpowered. Growls and whines came from the staircase then all of a sudden Everything went quiet, before finally Nick emerged. ¡°Right let¡¯s go¡± Nick said as he led me down the corridor. There on the ground were the bodies of two rogues, one had fully shifted and by the looks of it the second died while shifting. Nick had been quick to deal with them before they could harm us. Once me and Angel were inside the door was locked. I had asked Nick to go and aid the others knowing no one would be able to get in here. He reluctantly agreed after mind linking his mate, the gamma female Marie asking her to join us as she too was a trained warrior. It didn¡¯t take long for Marie to arrive; she wasn¡¯t as slim a build as most she-wolves Marie was muscr in build with her red hair styled in a bob due to all the training she went through to join the packs warriors. She didn¡¯t wish to be a mother as she enjoyed the thrill of the fight and feared if she had a pup, she wouldn¡¯t be able to train. Time seemed to pass slowly as we waited to be told it was over. It was then that Myself and Marie got a mind link from Jason our beta that things were ok, and he wasing to escort us back upstairs. ¡°Do you not think it¡¯s strange that it¡¯s Jason informing us and not our William?¡± Diamond was concerned but I reminded her we had no reason not to trust Jason. He was after all the beta and Williams best friend. Just as I opened the door to the safe room, we caught the smell of blood and rogues. We immediately knew something wasn¡¯t right but before we could shut the door Jason had forced it wider open. My eyes widened with shock as I took in the sight before me. Laying on the floor was the two guards Nick had ordered to stand guard both torn apart and their blood covering the floor and walls. ¡°Why¡± was all I could say before I felt the burning sensation of something sharp enter my abdomen. Jason had stabbed me with a silver knife that felt like it had been dipped in wolfsbane as the pain was like nothing I had ever felt before. Diamond whimpered as she too felt the pain as I did. I fell to the floor and looked straight to where Marie wasforting Angel. ¡°Take Angel and run. Run like you have never run before, please save her¡± I begged through the mind link. Chapter 3 Chapter 3 Nicks POV I woke up on the floor, the bite on my shoulder nearly healed already thank the goddess for being a werewolf, if I¡¯d been a human I wouldn¡¯t start to heal for days. I took in my surroundings as I stood up, Jason was gone the window at the end of the corridor smashed so I¡¯m guessing he jumped. I looked out and realised he must havended on the rose bushes underneath, that would have given him a softernding with less injuries if any at all. ¡°The Luna¡¯s going to be pissed when she sees them¡± my wolf Haze chuckled in my head, I nodded in silent agreement. I tried to mind link Marie and her wolf Violet but nothing, it was like I was hit by a wall. I heard movement outside and went to see what it was, a pack warrior was growling as he healed from what seemed to be a broken back leg. He would need to stay this way until fully healed otherwise there would be a chance it wouldn¡¯t fix properly once in human form. I could see the pack doctor on thewn out front tending to a wolf that had a leg tornpletely off. ¡°That¡¯s got to have hurt¡± Haze winced at the sight of one of our own. ¡°Haze this had to be Jason¡¯s doing as a rogue wouldn¡¯t have the strength needed to do that to a pack warrior¡± Haze nodded in agreement. I tried to contact Alpha William but instead of getting a reply I got heavy breathing. ¡°Where are you¡± I said through the mind link. After a few minutes silence he responded with two words ¡°safe room¡± His voice held pain and anger which made fear run through me. The safe room is where I had left Marie to protect Luna Vanessa and her daughter. I should have stayed with them after all as gamma that was my role, y bodyguard to the Luna and Princess, protecting them at all costs. Giving my life if need be whilst I always hoped that would never have to happen. I ran as fast as I could tapping into my wolf to gain extra speed, as I arrived the sight before me dropped me too my knees. There sitting on the floor was Alpha William holding Luna Vanessa in hisp her yellow sundress she had worn at the festival now soaked with blood the colour a deep shade of scarlet. ¡°Dammit Haze I knew I should have stayed with them, at least then the Luna could have escaped¡± ¡°But then you would be dead, and you couldn¡¯t stay the Luna gave you an order. You know as well as I do, we cannot disobey her¡± Haze was right we couldn¡¯t disobey the order of the Luna just like we couldn¡¯t the Alpha. I looked around and noticed that both Marie and Angel were gone. I helped Alpha William stand as the pain of losing a mate is enough to kill some wolves but being the royal alpha, it would take more than this. ¡°I have her, I have Angel we escaped but the Luna sh... she was stabbed. I¡­it was Jason he¡¯s working with the rogues. Jason was following us, but I think I lost him in the forest!¡± Marie¡¯s voice flooded through my mind. Her voice was trembling I could tell she was crying, her fear flowing through the mate bond letting me know how she felt. ¡°Marie thank god!¡± I shouted back through the mind link, ¡°I couldn¡¯t get hold of you are you and Angel, ok?¡± I asked her as calm as I could trying to ease some of her fear. ¡°We are in one piece if that counts¡± she responded. I told her about the Luna and how she died shortly after Alpha William had found her and I could feel how upset she was, the Luna and Marie had been good friends growing up. Maximus was gunning for blood. Jason¡¯s blood. Nick had filled me in on what Marie had told him how it was Jason that had taken my mate away from me, but I didn¡¯t know why. He had been my best friend since we were children, we had trained and fought together. I had wanted to interrogate Jason at the beginning but now, fuck that I want him dead. I want him to die painfully and slowly. Just like some of my warriors had just like my Vanessa. Pack warriors searched everywhere for Jason, but he wasn¡¯t found my wolf was pacing in my headpletely angered with the day¡¯s events. How the hell had a family fun packed day turn upside down so quickly. We had captured two of the rogues and had beat them continuously with silver whips, letting them heal and then beat them again until they told us their ns. They had told us they had nned on eliminating me and my family in the hopes that my former beta would be king and themselves ranked pack members. We had kept them in the dungeon chained to the wall with silver cuffs. The silver would cause them irritation to the skin on their wrists and stop them having contact with their wolves. One of the rogues didn¡¯t look any older then seventeen, but I couldn¡¯t think about that he knew what he was doing when he attacked us. After a week we was finally finished with them, so I wasted no time in ending their horrid lives. Angel was still with Marie, we agreed it wasn¡¯t safe for her to return just yet even though I missed her with all my heart. Together Nick and I formed our own n. It would be risky but if we pulled it off the pack and my daughter would be safe. A few dayster¡­¡­ ¡°Alpha we spotted beta Jason at the edge of theke on the southern side of the territory¡± one of the guards shouted through the mind link ¡°Do not approach him¡± I ordered. ¡°I want to kill him myself¡± I would make him pay for everything it wouldn¡¯t be a slow death either. I promised myself that I would make it as painful and long a process as I could. He hadmitted treason to his alpha and murdered his Luna. Not just any old alpha but the king, I would make him regret ever being born. Chapter 4 Chapter 4 Jason¡¯s POV A week after I killed the Luna, I decided I would try my luck with the alpha, he would be expecting me to bey low after what I had done so this was the perfect time. I had spent thest week watching from a distance as the royal pack mourned their loses and even though I felt bad for the rest of the pack¡¯s families, ke reminded me that with war there is always casualties. The rogues I joined had set up camp about 5 miles away in a cave that seemed to go on forever with a few tunnels underground. The tunnels were used so that they could travel to certain areas without other wolves catching their scent. It turns out they had been there for quite a while, and we never knew about them. We decided it would be best for me to face the Alpha by myself as the stench that they had would give their positions away immediately. I allowed myself to be seen by a guard near theke knowing that Alpha William would want to personally kill me. ¡°HAHA he will not be expecting this to be how he dies¡± my wolf ke roared in my head. ¡°Shut up mutt, we cannot start getting cocky that¡¯s how we will fail¡± I told him even though he was right, the alpha would defiantly not be expecting this. As Alpha William showed himself, I began to taunt him about Vanessa knowing it would have the reaction I wanted. ¡°Your Luna imed to be a descendant of the moon goddess and yet I ended her life with ease. She didn¡¯t even try to fight me. She was weak¡± ¡°You didn¡¯t give her a fucking chance though did you Jason, what kind of coward attacks their Luna with a wolfsbaneced silver knife. If you thought of her as weak you would have attacked her in wolf form you traitorous bastard¡± ¡°Vanessa and her wolf wouldn¡¯t have stood a chance not against ke, she hadn¡¯t trained since she gave birth to your brat¡± ¡°That¡¯s where you are wrong Jason. Being a mother only made her stronger. You were too busy nning my downfall to register that. And as for diamond she would have ripped you apart. She never once used all her strength she never needed to and when she did need to her chance was taken away by a coward. By you!¡± ¡°Well at least you got to say goodbye to her, you won¡¯t get the chance to say goodbye to your daughter. How does it feel to know her life will also end at my hands and before she even gains her wolf Hahahaha¡± As he shifted into his wolf I stayed in my human form. Maximus was a big wolf bigger than any other alpha wolf being as he was the king. His fur was a deep ck resembling the midnight sky. His eyes a bright shade of red starring right at me. ¡°SHIFT and fight me you coward?¡± Roared Maximus and all I could do wasugh. This disrespect just pushed him over the edge and as he lunged at me, I drew a silver knifeced with wolfsbane and poison then stuck it into his side. He would die the same death as his precious Luna had, slow and painful. Maximus howled alerting the rest of the pack he needed help. Before I had time to strike again Maximus mmed me into tree not registering how serious his wound was. I knew that the silver and wolfsbane wouldn¡¯t be enough to take him down which is exactly why it had been mixed with a rare kind of poison. I didn¡¯t know the name of it as one of the rogues had gotten it telling me it would take even the alpha king down. As he lunged for me again, I rolled to the side stabbing him again but this time into his leg. I watched as he slumped to the ground with a sickening thud. ¡°There I thought one stab would have done it with his weakened state from losing his Luna¡± ¡°ke, I told you we couldn¡¯t underestimate him. His blood is strong that¡¯s why he was the king in the first ce¡±. Knowing alpha William wouldn¡¯t recover from this I stabbed him again in the back and before I turned away, I gave him some parting words. ¡°Once I find your daughter your bloodline will cease to exist¡± And with a smirk etched onto my face I walked away leaving my once best friend to die. Chapter16 yearster¡­¡­ - Marie¡¯s POV It had been nearly 16 years since Jason and the rogues had attacked the royal pack resulting in the death of Luna Vanessa. When I left with Angel I ran until I couldn¡¯t run anymore, I should have taken one of the SUVs that was in the garage but there just wasn¡¯t enough time. Jason had followed us into the forest, but my stealth skills were much better than his tracking and so I was able to lose him. After making sure we weren¡¯t being followed anymore, I mind linked Nick to tell him we had escaped. Alpha William decided I should take Angel to the Moonlight Pack as the alpha there at the time had been a good friend of his dads, and it would be safe for us to reside in their territory. I made my way into the local vige securing a vehicle and made our way to Alpha John knowing he was expecting us. The moonlight pack was a good 8 hours¡¯ drive from the royal pack, situated on the edge of a small town backing onto the mountains but surrounded by forest. We didn¡¯t stay in their pack house even though they had offered, instead choosing to stay in one of the houses on the edge of their territory. This way if we were ever found out it would make getting away a lot easier. Like the royal pack many of the wolves from here had jobs in the town as well as in the pack house. Nick found us about a monthter and we raised Angel together. Nick took a job in the town working as a car mechanic to avoid suspicion and I became a stay at home mum. You see being the gamma of the royal pack, Nick earned a lot more than the average wolf and technically didn¡¯t need to work. But as we didn¡¯t want everyone knowing where we were from it¡¯s what we had to do. The only person that new who we were was Alpha John, he took our secret to the grave not even telling his son Jake. Angel knew who her parents were, we made sure of that. She also knew that she was the sole heir to the royal pack but warned her not to share that information with anyone as if shared with the wrong person it could lead to the wrong people finding her. Angel began to look more like her mother every day, her hair long and curly, as yellow as the sun and eyes like the ocean. She was beautiful. However, she inherited her dads short temper and attitude but also his kindness and the heart to help anyone no matter who they were. Angel had gotten her wolf Star at the age of 10, this was a lot earlier than normal wolf. We put it down to the fact she had the blood of the moon goddess as her mother was a direct descendant. Chapter 5 Chapter 5 Angels POV ¡®BEEP BEEP BEEP¡¯ I opened my eyes just as my rm went off and yawned soo hard it literally hurt my face. ¡°What are you yawning for you¡¯ve slept for fourteen hours solid?¡± Star¡¯s voice echoed in my mind as she stretched out. ¡°Not only is it 7.30am but we had an intense sparring session yesterday remember, it wiped me out¡± Star is my wolf and first thing in the morning she has attitude, not that I can moan I¡¯m just as bad or so Aunt Marie likes to tell me, but I don''t mind as she says my dad was exactly the same. I¡¯m seventeen years old and I will be turning eighteen in a couple of weeks which means I¡¯ll be able to find my mate. We are supposed to get our wolves when we turn sixteen and that¡¯s also when we shift for the first time but for some reason, I got mine when I was ten. Not that I''mining as I don''t know what I would do without my partner in crime. My wolf is white just like the purest of snow, she¡¯s beautiful with Icey blue coloured eyes which were ever so slightly brighter than my own. The only problem is I can¡¯t shift around anyone other than my Aunt Marie and Uncle Nick. The reason for this being the colour of Star¡¯s fur would give away my identity as the Princess of the royal pack, and from what I¡¯ve been told that would be incredibly bad. The thing is being a werewolf Star wants to constantly go for a run. She loves the feeling of the earth underneath her paws and the way the wind blows through her fur. Her favourite spot is just at the bottom of the mountains at the edge of the Moonlight Packs territory; it¡¯s at least three miles away from the town. At first, I thought it was because of how beautiful and peaceful that ce seemed buttely I think it¡¯s because of the wolf we often see in the small river at the bottom of the mountain waterfall. ¡°I just get this vibe when he¡¯s near or when we see him even if it is at a distance¡± Star defends herself in my mind. ¡°Maybe he¡¯s our mate¡± I told her in a teasing tone whilst shrugging my shoulders. Truth is we wouldn¡¯t know for sure, not unless we saw him once I turned 18 and let me tell you I could not bloody wait. I had dreamed of finding my mate ever since I was a little girl. Aunt Marie had told me about the mate bond and how much my parents loved each other, how that love was possible because of the Moon Goddess. The Moon Goddess created all werewolves, and she was the one that would pair us with our mate, that way there was someone for everybody a perfect match making us whole. A true love just like a fairy tale. Aunt Marie had told me that my parents love was one of the strongest loves she had ever seen and that I was a gift because of that. I don¡¯t remember my parents as I was only two when they died but the way that Aunt Marie and Uncle Nick described them in the stories, they would tell me really made me feel like I knew them. I mean truly knew them. I knew how far my dad was willing to go to protect my mum and the rest of the pack. That my mum died protecting me just as my dad had died protecting his pack. I knew what I wanted, and I knew I wanted my mate to be like my dad. ¡°Fearless, strong,passionate and kind¡± said Star in my mind while I silently agreed. "But don''t forget about being handsome and having a good sense of humour" I said earning an eyeroll and a chuckle from Star. After breakfast was another day of training, Uncle Nick insisted I be ready for the day I take back the throne of the royal pack. As I have alpha blood, I¡¯m stronger than a lot of wolves, and because I¡¯m a she-wolf with this extra power my slim toned build allows me to move quicker giving me even more of an advantage. ¡°Can you at least put more effort into your punches Uncle Nick¡± I¡¯m getting fed up with how easy this is I want a challenge. ¡°Believe me Angel I am putting all I have into this; you¡¯vepletely tapped into your heightened strength well done hun¡± "You seem shocked, surely you should know by now that I always surpass your expectations" Whilst I wasn''t paying attention, I was knocked on my ass, flipped over and restrained. I quickly pushed my strength into my arms pushing Uncle Nick off me jumping up and sending him flying with a spinning kick whilst in the air.
