《Destiny》


 Prologue:

    ¡°You may kiss the bride,¡± the priest said.


    David and Cara kissed and became husband and wife. The guests all clapped and cheered. The guests all congratulated the newlyweds and gave them their gifts. The atmosphere at the wedding reception was full of joy and happiness. Everyone was talking to each other while having fun and eating. The wedding was a big success. (Slightly cringe but less than original)


    Nine months later, Cara gave birth to twin girls. They named them Lily and Lacy. As the girls grew up they were very energetic and playful, always running around and getting into trouble at the park or in their house. They were a mischievous inseparable pair, sticking to each other like glue. They both had brown hair like their dad and brown eyes like their mom.


    When they were two years old, Cara and David got divorced and Lily stayed with her mom while Lacy went away with her dad. The two girls didn¡¯t understand what was happening and didn¡¯t want to be separate but David picked up Lacy and they moved away.


    Cara met a guy named Bob a few months after she got divorced from David. 2 years later they got married. Bob had a daughter named Chloe who was the same age as Lily, 4 years old. Chloe had nice ash blonde hair with pretty blue eyes. Cara and Bob both thought that it would be good for Chloe and Lily to get to know each other.


    Chloe did not like Lily that much at all. She liked her new step mom and thought that she was very nice, but she felt that Lily was taking her father¡¯s attention away from her and was unhappy about that. Chloe found that Lily was nice but was jealous of her. Lily thought that Chloe was cool and tried to get along with her the way that she and Lacy used to but Chloe didn¡¯t want to.

    As time passed by, and they started middle school, Chloe got more jealous of Lily. She felt that everyone was paying attention to Lily and ignoring her even though that wasn¡¯t really the case. Her dislike towards Lily increased as the years passed by, and they grew up, especially since she felt that Lily looked prettier than her. Chloe wanted to look pretty like Lily, and in her jealousy, she started to pick on Lily and bully her in school. Lily just tried to ignore Chloe, thinking that she was going through a rough time and made some bad friends.


    After the girls finished middle school, the family ended up moving because Cara and Bob got new jobs with better pay so they relocated. They moved to Fairview town.


    Meanwhile,


    Over with David and Lacy, after David separated from Cara, he and Lacy settled down in the city. Lacy missed her sister a lot. She met some kids around the neighborhood, and became friends with two kids who lived on her street. They became a well known band of troublemakers and goofballs when they were in preschool and elementary school. Her new best friends were named Julian, a red head, and Gracie, a blonde.


    When Lacy was ten years old, David told Lacy one day that he met a very nice lady named Layla and that she should get to know her more. Lacy was confused at first but soon found out that David was dating Layla, and had been for a year. Lacy liked Layla a lot. She found Layla to be fun to hang out with and was very kind and caring.


    Later that year, David and Layla got married, and Layla told David and Lacy a surprise. She was a queen! And now David was the new king and Lacy would be the princess. Lacy was very excited but worried at the same time. She didn¡¯t want her relationship with her best friends to become awkward with her now being the princess of the country, but it turned out that she was worrying over nothing. Her best friends teased her and joked around about her being a princess now but their friendship remained the same as before.

    In a world very different from ours, but yet not so different, lived two people.  A boy and a girl were friends.  The boy¡¯s name was David and the girl¡¯s name was Cara.  They ended up falling in love and getting married.  Their wedding was very beautiful yet,  simple.  There were only a few people invited and the ceremony took place at a church.  After they did their vows at the church, they went home to have their wedding party there.


    A few years later, Cara and David had children.  Cara gave birth to two twin girls. One girl was named Lily, and the other girl was named Stacy.  David for some reason didn''t like Lily so he was not as nice to Lily as he was to Stacy.  He spoiled Stacy but not Lily.


    One day, Cara couldn''t take it anymore, and left the house with Lily and never came back.  Stacy was left at the house with her dad.  David was sad and lonely.  He wanted Stacy to have a mother though, so he tried to date a few women, but never found the right one, until one day.  He met a person named Layla.  They chatted with each other for a little bit and got along very well.  Layla was also the queen of the kingdom.  They fell in love after a while, and eventually got married.  They decided to change Stacy¡¯s name to Lacy.  They tried to have a child of their own, but never could.  Layla treated Lacy like she was her own birth child though she wasn''t really.

    Cara was sad about leaving David, but she knew that it would be better for Lily.  She eventually fell in love with a guy named Bob, who was also divorced and had a child as well.  The child¡¯s name was Chloe.  Bob and Cara soon got married too.  Chloe didn''t like Lily because she thought that Lily was stealing her father¡¯s attention from her.  She also thought that Lily was prettier and was jealous of her because of that.  To make herself feel better, she decided to bully Lily.  Their parents never found out about this thought, because Chloe only bullied Lily when they weren''t around them.  Lily tried to tell them, but they never believed her because they thought she was jealous of Chloe even though it was the other way around.  She never had any proof either since her injuries from Chloe were never there for some reason.


    Even though Cara and David got remarried to different people, and moved on, they never forgot about each other and would often wonder what each other was doing at the moment.

    On the first day of high school, Lily and Chloe got ready for school. Chloe and Lily both got up and got ready for school. Lily and Chloe had just moved to this town this summer. The new school they were attending had uniforms so the girls had to wear them. Chloe was unhappy about having to wear school uniforms and reluctantly wore them. Lily didn''t complain much because she didn''t have much opinion about the uniforms. She was too anxious about the new school and how the other students were.


    When they got to school there was a group of girls hanging out outside of the school talking. One of the girls came up to Lily and Chloe. The girl¡¯s name was Elizabeth. She asked Chloe if she wanted to be her friend and Chloe said sure. Elizabeth told Chloe to just call her by her nickname, Lizzy. The bell rang and they went to class.


    When they got to class, Chloe tripped Lily, making her fall in front of the entire class. The teacher asked Lily if she was okay and she told the teacher that she was fine. The teacher told Lily and Chloe to introduce themselves to the class, and Chloe told the class that her name was Chloe and that she was very nice and friendly, and that her sister was named Lily and she was not very nice and is very clumsy, even though that wasn''t true. The teacher told them to go sit down and Chloe and Lily went to their new seats. A girl named Lacy looked up at Lily and Chloe and thought that Lily looked just like her except for her hair color, which she found very odd. The teacher told Lily to sit next to Lacy, and Chloe to sit between Lizzy and a boy named Julian. Julian and Lacy both raised their hands. Chloe thought that Julian looked cute and wanted him to be her boyfriend.

    Chloe tapped Lizzy on that shoulder and whispered to her saying that she should make Lily fall out of her seat. Chloe agreed with Lizzy and pulled Lily''s chair out from under her. Lily fell with a thump. The teacher asked Lily what happened. Before Lily could say anything, Chloe said that Lily was just super clumsy, and was used to falling down. The teacher asked Lily if she was okay. Lily told the teacher that she was fine with a quiet voice. The teacher returned to teaching the class. Chloe and Lizzy started giggling because they got away with what they did to lily. The teacher noticed them laughing and asked them what was so funny. Lizzy said that Chloe made a joke that was very funny even though Lily was silent the whole time. The teacher asked Lily if she could stay after class to talk with her. Lily said okay. Lacy was confused as to why Lily didn''t speak up and told the teacher that she didn''t make any joke. She decided to stay after class and wait for Lily and talk to her because she knew that Lily was silent the whole time while Chloe and Lizzy were laughing. The class went on without any more interruptions, and soon the bell rang.


    When all the students left the classroom, the teacher asked Lily what the funny joke she had made was. Lily told the teacher that she didn''t make any jokes. She then asked Lily why Chloe and Lizzy were laughing then if there was no joke being made. Lily said that they were probably laughing because they got away with pulling out her chair from underneath her without getting in trouble. The teacher asked Lily why Chloe would do that when she is her sister. Lily said that Chloe had been mean to her ever since they had met for no reason at all. The teacher asked Lily why her parents never did anything about this. Lily said that she tried to tell them but they just believed she was not used to having to share her stuff with Chloe and was trying to get her in trouble.

    The next day, Chloe and Lily got ready for school.  Chloe put on tons of makeup in an attempt to look pretty and try and impress Julin, and get him to like her.  When they got to school, there was another girl talking with Lacy.  Lacy introduced the girl to Lily as Grace and they all started talking.  When Chloe noticed Grace talking with Lily and Lacy, she went over to them and told Grace that she didn''t want to be friends with Lily because she was a loser.  Grace told her that she and Lily were already best friends.  Chloe scowled disappointedly at that.


    The bell rang, and they all went to class.  Lily went to the bathroom and on her way there, she bumped into a boy.  They both apologized for bumping into each other and not looking where they were going.  The boy introduced himself as Thomas and said that he had to hurry because he was already late for class.  She told the boy that her name was Lily, and apologized again, then she left for the bathroom.  Thomas thought that she was Lacy at first glance because they looked very similar except for their hair color.


    At lunchtime, Lily asked Lacy if she was busy later.  Lacy said that she wasn''t quite sure what was going to happen after school because her mom and dad would most likely be busy with king and queen duties as usual.  Lily was surprised to learn that Lacy was a princess.  She asked Lacy if she could come over and see the castle where she lived.  Lacy said sure but asked Lily if she could treat her as a normal non-princess girl because she didn''t like to talk about her princess life that much.  Lily agreed but was sad about that.


    Grace asked Lily why Chloe was mean to her if they were sisters.  She asked her if they had a fight.  Lily told Grace that Lily was her stepsister, and was mean to her for as long as she knew her because she was jealous of her for some reason.  Grace was shocked to hear this and was glad that she decided to not be friends with Chloe.   They went back to class.  Once everyone was there, the teacher told them all that they were going outside to learn their magical forms and powers.  They went outside, and Lily asked the teacher how to transform.  The teacher said that they just had to concentrate on something that they liked.


    The teacher transformed first showing them what her magical form was.  The teacher¡¯s form was a dog.  The teacher had dog ears and a doggy tail.  The teacher then told them that it was their turn to transform.  Soon everyone was in their other form.


    Chloe was a devil.  She had the wings, a tail, and horns of a devil.  Julian was a fox. He had fox ears and a foxtail.  Thomas turned into a shadow wolf and had wolf ears and a wolf tail.  Grace became a fairy queen.  She had pretty fairy wings, and a crown on her head.  Lizzy became a fallen angel.  She had black angel wings and no halo.

    Chloe was talking to Lizzy.  She was saying that Lily would probably not have a cool magical form.  She also said that if she couldn''t date Julian, she¡¯d date Thomas because he looked cute.  Lizzy said go for it to Chloe and told her that Thomas was still single.


    Lily transformed into a hybrid, and everyone was surprised because hybrids were super rare, and the only other hybrid in their school was Lacy.  Lacy was part wolf, part ice fairy, and part vampire.  She had wolf ears and tail, and pretty blue fairy wings and her eyes were a pretty shade of red.


    Lily asked the teacher what she was.  The teacher said that she was part demon, part angel, and wolf, and she might even be part vampire too.  Lily had white angel wings, a demon tail, wolf ears, and she also had pretty red eyes like Lacy.


    The teacher told them that the next day they would be learning what their powers were, and how to use them to fight and defend themselves from bad people.  She congratulated them all on their transformation, and then school was over.


    Lily and Chloe went home, and Chloe told her mom about how she had transformed into a hybrid, and that Lacy was a hybrid just like her.  Her mom congratulated her and said that was nice.  Chloe went to find her dad and told him about how she could transform into a devil.


    The next day, the teacher brought them outside and tested them to see what powers they¡¯d have.  The teacher told them all to transform.


    Chloe could use dark magic, make other people¡¯s powers weaker, and could confuse her enemy if she wanted to.  Grace had the powers of all the fairies.  She could control fire, water, earth, wind, and the more complex versions of them.  Lizzy could use light and dark magic, teleport, and heal people if she felt like it.  Julian could use fire powers and sneak up on people without them noticing him.  Thomas could read minds, control shadows, and had super strength.  Everyone with wings could also fly.


    Lily and Lacy had many many powers since they were both hybrids.  Lily could either make people¡¯s powers stronger or weaker if she wanted to.  She was able to use magic and could teleport, and heal others.  She could also read minds and had super strength too.  Lacy had super strength, could read minds, and could heal people.  She could also make tons of stuff with ice.


    They went back inside, and the teacher announced that they were getting dorms.  The teacher said that they would get their dorm number and key the next day, and they would find out their roommates then too.  After that, the bell rang and they all went home.


    When they got home, they all asked their parents if they could have a sleepover with their friends.  Their parents agreed.  Lacy asked Grace and Lily if they had a crush yet.  Lily said that she kinda liked Thomas but wasn''t quite sure about that yet.  Grace said that she didn''t like anyone at the moment now.  Lacy and Lily teased Grace and asked her if she was sure about that and she frowned slightly and said that she was sure.
