《Unnatural (ABO)》 Chapter 1 Speeding through the asteroid field was a small and unassuming spacecraft. With no markings, it was impossible to tell where the spacecraft hailed from. However it was not uncommon for there to be brave explorers or cunning merchants trying their luck to find unclaimed planets that could possibly be filled with precious, or even undiscovered resources. This time though, the spacecraft had a predetermined destination. A completely uninhabited planet that had the ability to sustain life, as well as drinkable water and vast amounts of arable land. The planet had no name, only a serial number that couldn''t be more unnoticeable. It went by the name of X-23765. It is more than possible after purchasing the rights to the planet, to change its name. However the owners of the planet had no intention of being noticed. The planet was found incidentally, after the owners had been on holiday from university. They had taken a trip together to the unknown solar system, and found two extremely lucrative planets. One was the liveable planet, and another was full of a rare source of metal, used almost completely by the government for building weapons. The two bought the ownership of the planets with the money they had saved up from investing and the gifts their family had given them. The two owners obviously wouldn''t mention what they had found, and the officials in charge of registering planets wouldn''t care either. They just marked down where the planets were and took the standard fee for buying a planet. On the spacecraft were two very beautiful women. However they both seemed exhausted from the trip. Looking at their soft and gentle demeanors, it was easy to see the two women were both omegas, and although the two were tired, their bright and tenacious eyes showed that they were not as simple as they appeared. The two omegas were completely focused on the meandering through the asteroid field. They knew when they had passed it, they would have reached their destination. The asteroids acted as a natural barrier, which made them very happy, knowing that they could only use a small spacecraft like the one they were piloting to bypass the field safely. The two had been travelling over a month, fearing that they would be caught using hyperdrive, they simply flew the entire way. Luckily they had planned their escape for years, and every step was calculated. Multiple plans and backups created for various situations. The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. Ever since the two of them had fallen in love during high school, they knew their families would never accept them together. The two of them were born in aristocratic families. The two families had been close for centuries, and so they had known each other from a very young age. Aristocratic families like theirs are lonely places to grow up, so the two quickly found solace in each other''s company, which would in turn lead to dependance, and later, love. They were fully aware of the requirements their families had for them. The moment they were born as omegas, they were destined to be tools of marriage. It was the price they had to pay for the luxuries and status they would enjoy in their lives, and at the beginning they were resigned to this fact, but when they realised their feelings for one another, they had another possible future. The two omegas were very intelligent since they were young. They were quick to learn, and eager for knowledge. However, in a patriarchal society, their knowledge would only be used to teach their children. It''s almost laughable that humanity had advanced so far technologically, but regressed so much philosophically. So the two who were no longer content with their futures decided from that moment, they would choose to live their way. This plan was long and painfully slow. They dabbled in investing, as well as using the inherent discrimination of omegas to their advantage. With the idea that only alphas could be intelligent enough to actually do something,it was much easier for their plans to go unnoticed. They knew that if they left, it would be a one way trip. Their families had too much power, it wouldn''t be difficult for them to kidnap them back, and force them to marry whomever they decided. So their plan involved any contingency, which turned out to be the correct choice. The two after saving money, knew they would have to be self reliant. Thankfully using some shady means, they managed to get their hands on some important items. They asked their families for seeds to grow food with, as if it was just on a whim. Unlike the past on Earth, farming has long become scarce. Food is replaced with nutrient solutions, which are tasteless but cheap and filling. However the two omegas have always been intelligent, and they were able to pick up many different abilities in their lives. Their families only thought that the two wanted to have fun, and try gardening, so they gave it to them not expecting anything. The government has set up it''s own branch for agriculture, and even they aren''t able to increase the yield enough to supply more than just the noble families, so they didn''t hold any hope for a pair of omegas. This also meant they would need an unknown liveable planet, as well as a place for shelter and robots to help in the day to day activities. They managed to procure the robots and building materials in their storage devices that they carried on their bodies. Their families probably never guessed that the tools for escaping them would be carried on the two omegas bodies so blatantly. It can be seen that the two omegas are very courageous, but they believed that the closest to them, the safer it was. The need to exact their emergency plan came after they were caught by one of their relatives during a lack in their vigilance. Knowing that they would soon be known to others, they quickly attacked the prying woman, knocking her unconscious. They knew this woman, she was a notorious blabber mouth, so they needed as much of a head start as possible. After tying the woman up and taking her communication device, they began their emergency plan, and quickly fled to the unmarked spacecraft they had bought when they started university, with their forged documents, pretending to be two harmless sister omegas going on a short trip with the permission of their parents. Chapter 2 After they had successfully bypassed the security checks with the false documents, they never let out a sigh of relief. It would be ignorant to believe an aristocratic family could be fooled by some fake documents, but it got them off the planet, which was the most important part. They took as many unexpected ways as possible, floating dead in space, pretending to be space junk, and staying far away from the safe and guarded paths. They knew they were correct in doing so after they were almost caught by stray patrols, luckily the patrols didn''t believe that two young omegas would have the courage to take these dangerous routes. All in all, although they had to use their emergency plan. It worked remarkably well. After they had bypassed the asteroids, they could see their two planets. This would be their home. One held the materials to create all the machinery and equipment they would need, and the other filled with beautiful and unsullied fields. So as to not draw attention to these planets, they limited the amount of times they came. So they didn''t have the chance to start any progress on either planet, apart from leaving a few robots to begin mining metal. That was a few years ago, so the two hope they managed to excavate a decent amount of it by now. After descending into the mining planets atmosphere, the two looked in awe at the heaping piles of metal ore that was placed in piles on the surface. The robots they had left weren''t specialised for mining, the government would be suspicious of any mining robot that was bought. Although the government didn''t care if you bought an unknown planet, but if it had rich ore deposits, they wouldn''t let it go unnoticed. However there are many places to sell illegal ore, especially the kind used to build the empires weapons and mechas. Unfortunately for others, this metal would be used to build robots, and now after seeing that there was far more ore here than first expected, they both had an idea. "Do you think we have enough to try and build that defensive system, my love?" Sile asked gently. "If the deposits don''t dry up in the next couple of years, I think it''s plausible, darling", Arel replied in the same gentle tone. That is how the two always spoke to each other. No matter how serious it was, or how angry they were. There voices would always remain gentle. Half of it they blamed on their innate Omega nature, the other half was just them not wanting to sadden each other. This has caused them to be able to say the most cruel things with the same sweet and harmless tones. This was completely apparent when that nosy woman found them kissing. They were able to make the immediate decision to knock the woman unconscious. It has to be said, the look on the woman''s face was very shocked, after these ''innocent'' girls would have such ruthlessness hidden under their soft exterior. If you come across this story on Amazon, it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. To their respective families, the two omegas were gentle, delicate and obedient, which satisfied them perfectly. They acted as they were expected to, with a soft and demure nature, befitting that of an aristocratic Omega, and which Omega doesn''t have a close bosom friend, that they can treat as close as a sister. This allowed the two to have many ''close'' bonding experiences right under the noses of their families. Arel and Sile had tk wear spacesuits on the mining planet, as the air was filled with toxic fumes, a by-product of the vast amount of ore the planet had available. The two looked at each other, and began to set about the second step of their simple farming life, producing robots for farm work. After all, the planet was about 70% of the size of Earth. The amount of land that could be farmed by just the two of them, would probably only be enough to feed them. Add that on to omegas inherent lack of strength, and perhaps they''d starve to death before they ever had the chance to live their loving little farm life. The two wouldn''t be impatient. They didn''t mind taking a decade or two setting up their planets. Although humans may have regressed in their beliefs, but their improvements in technology spanned many different areas, including biology. Humanity has always had an obsession with prolonging life, and luckily after countless millennia since the humans of old had discovered the ability to explore space, new breakthroughs had been found relating to biology. Medicine was created back then to increase a person''s lifespan, this would mutate and alter the genes, generation after generation, bringing about the era of ABO. Now humanity has secondary sexes, and their lifespans have increased with these mutations. The century that humanity was once shackled by, is now only a tenth of what they can live to now. This is why the aristocratic families are so powerful now. Even with the lower fertility rates of humanity, if you have a millennia to reproduce, you''re obviously going to pile up a few children with that time, and add to that the patriarchal belief that alphas are superior, they also reverted the previous monogamy laws to that of polygamy. Arel and Sile are not the only omegas born from their alpha fathers. In fact they have almost a dozen Omega siblings each, but who told the two of them to be smarter than even their alpha siblings. Letting the nobles of their circle believe the children they bare would also inherit their intelligence ability, making them quite the hot commodity. The two of them had decided that the refining factory for the ore, and the robot production factory would all be built on this planet, saving the toxic gasses from harming their liveable planet. They took out the building materials and building robots they had accumulated for the factories, after years of research, and instructed the robots to begin. The two looked at each other through the spacesuits, and a peaceful smile adorned both of their faces. They had really started their own two person journey. Chapter 3 The two omegas watched the robots building the factory with inhuman precision. Every piece of material used with the utmost efficiency, however back on the capital planet of the empire, which was named Erdime, their was an unspeakably dismal aura permeating the planet. The reason was obviously the ''disappearance'' of the omegas of two extremely powerful noble families. Security had been strictly enforced for many weeks now. The two powerful families knew that the two omegas must have escaped the planet, but they still hadn''t found them after countless blockades and patrol sweeps. It was as if the two of them simply vanished into thin air. The families also knew they would have to end the strict checks on the planet sooner rather than later. Although the two families held considerable power, in the capital there were many other powerful families, including the royal family which have been bothered by these security measures. The patriarchs in charge of the two families, as well as all the alphas with say in the family, that were currently present, were all meeting together to try and figure out what they were going to do to Arel and Sile. "Shameless things, the both of them" said one alpha. "Find them back, so they don''t continue embarrassing us", said another. "When they''re caught back, find an alpha to marry them off to quickly, so they learn what an Omega should do", spoke one of the older alphas. The two patriarchs listened silently. They both had no words. After they learned of the relationship their daughters had, they didn''t believe it, but seeing their quick reactions, they had guessed that it must be true, and the time of this relationship was definitely not short. Neither of the two patriarchs were stupid. Unlike some of the alphas that were speaking out with righteous indignation, they knew more about their daughters. Looking back at some of the suspicious points that they had glossed over, believing that they were just closer than normal, and even more so the various things the two had asked for or bought during the years, they both knew that the two omegas had been planning to escape for a long time. Dabbling in investments, asking for some robots. They also had information collected in the past few weeks, detailing the purchase of building materials under false identities, as well as a small spacecraft that was kept ready and waiting at all times. They also found things that weren''t included in the plan, those were much harder to find, and with some thought, the two patriarchs came to the conclusion that Arel and Sile had made multiple escape plans. Perhaps there was even a greater one that they hadn''t found, which they had intended to use, not expecting to have to use an emergency plan. Support the creativity of authors by visiting the original site for this novel and more. The two patriarchs were both shocked at the depth of the girls scheming, as well as in awe of their ingenuity. Perhaps the intelligence they showed was just a fraction of their true capabilities. They wondered if the two even had plans in place, in case of being caught back, but if there were, they were very well hidden. All they knew was that they had robots, building materials and an unmarked spacecraft. They had probably fled to a lesser known area, which would be extremely difficult to find. After all, the universe is so vast, and the empire doesn''t co trol all of it. However even if they haven''t left the empire, there are countless star fields and solar systems that are uninhabited. Searching for the two would be like trying to find a needle at the bottom of the sea. The two patriarchs that were stuck in their own thoughts came back to their senses when one of the younger alphas were talking. "What do we do about the engagements for both of them?" he asked hesitantly. There was silence in the room. The news had spread too quickly, and they couldn''t contain it in time, so the other noble families would definitely be aware of it already. The two families that they had decided engagements with were both the direct lines of families of their status. Arel was engaged to the grandson of the great duke. The Colt''s had been awarded a dukedom centuries ago for their bravery and merits in battle. The grandson, Eric was only a century old and had already sat firmly in the position of major general of the first fleet that directly protected Erdime. Sile''s engagement partner was a marquis. She had been awarded the rank for her achievements in the field of biological research. Her current research was on the improvement of fundamental abilities, such as strength, stamina and speed. Both alphas were young and talented, and it was quite difficult to get these engagements approved. Now that the word has spread, they all knew that these engagements would have to be cancelled. Their relationship has already spread to the powerful families, and no alpha would want an Omega that has been with another person. The only reason the two families haven''t come to the door, is because they want to give them a chance to step down with some dignity. Of course it would cost them. Arel''s family was surnamed knight, and Sile''s was surnamed Fang. The two families were both engaged in politics. There were many alphas in the family that held positions in the government. However these engagements were made to bring them a chance to acquaint themselves with the military officers, as well as give them access to highly sought after medicines and research. Now those plans were probably done for. They thought about changing the omegas, but no alpha wants to be humiliated like that, and then given a replacement afterwards. Knowing that it was pointless to stay any longer, the two families finished up the meeting and went back to their homes. The patriarchs would have to go out to the families and personally call off the engagements. Only with that level of sincerity would they be able to tide over the dissatisfaction. After all, it''s fine to lose a friend, but it would be bad to gain an enemy. Chapter 4 Arel and Sile knew what impact their actions would have on their families, but they would rather freedom of choice, rather than living a life decided by others. They had focused their attention on the new designs of the robots they would be manufacturing. Getting set up was never going to be difficult for them. With how easy technology was to use nowadays, they could have the factory manufacturing within a few weeks. There was a reason that the most abundant job in the empire were soldiers, because humanity''s only advantage over technology was their cunning. Deception was an absolute necessity for war, and robots had not advanced to the stage where they were capable of cunning, perhaps because technology hadn''t advanced enough, or humanity just wouldn''t allow it. Either way, people still had places that were beneficial to them. Stroking their fragile egos. At the moment the two omegas were finalising the designs for the farming robots. Arel and Sile had chosen a degree in mechanical engineering when they started university. They knew it was integral that they understood every step of a machines construction, they would definitely need it. Now, the two omegas had already brainstormed the design, and drawn blueprints. If the empire knew that machines that could complete their long wished idea for mass production of vegetables, fruits and grains, were about to be created by two runaway omegas, they would probably berate the two families that didn''t take them as treasures. They both scoured through ancient Earth texts about farming. This knowledge was hidden away by their families. They probably didn''t even know books on the subject existed in the vast family libraries, which allowed the two a general direction to go, instead of the blind tests the government''s agriculture department were doing. Watching the blueprints they designed slowly begin to take shape in front of them, the two omegas that were always calm finally showed excitement befitting of their age. After all, the two were only twenty years old. The robot was quickly completed. A hulking monster of technology, it dwarfed them. It''s size comparable to those ancient earth movers that the mines of old would use. It looked like less of a damping machine, and more like a giant Terra forming colossus. Now they had discovered a problem. They had arbitrarily assumed that their storage device could carry a few of these Goliath''s, but now they seem to have realised that wasn''t going to be possible. The only way they could think of was letting the spacecraft carry it to the next planet. So Arel took on the job of ferrying these machines over while Sile kept a lookout for any problems on the mining planet. This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. Machine after machine was attached to the bottom of the spacecraft using the tractor beam. Sile watched as they disappeared into the sky, while new machines were being fabricated non stop. Arel piloted the ship to their liveable planet. She didn''t start the machines when she put them down. This was something she wanted to witness with Sile. The process didn''t take long, more and more farming machines were brought over, and after the last one was taken, Sile boarded the spacecraft. The two needed to wait and see if there was enough ore to set up their planetary defense system, so they stopped manufacturing the farming machines. Taking the last one over, they finally returned to the serene planet they had accidentally discovered years ago. They finally had the chance to take off their spacesuits, and looking at their sweaty lovers, the both of them couldn''t help laughing at each other. Stepping down onto the small hill, Arel turned to Sile and said with the most radiant smile, "We''re home, Sile". Sile couldn''t stop her eyes reddening. She embraced Arel, letting the tears fall, responding with a peck on her lovers beautiful face. The two still had many things to do before they could relax. They needed a house to live in, and the land needed to be reclaimed for farming, but today they had done enough, they needed a break. They had been exhausted for the last month, and right now they just wanted to rest in each other''s embrace. They both went back to the bedroom on the spacecraft. Although it was a tight squeeze, the two lovers didn''t mind if they had to squeeze closer. After the arduous day, they fell asleep almost as soon as their heads touched the pillow. Their pheromones which were always biologically incompatible even felt comforting at the moment. The two fell into a long and pleasant slumber, their bodies intertwined. Back in Erdime, the sound of objects breaking sounded in one of the estates of the noble district. "How dare that slut run off with another Omega?!" a terrifyingly deep man''s voice roared. "Why is Master angry over a mere Omega", spoke a gentle voice, but if you listened closely, it was easy to notice the trembling in the voice. The male Omega was one of Eric''s many concubines. As long as the main position was held by the fiancee, the other family didn''t much care how many other bed partners the alpha had. This was the first time Eric had been so humiliated, he was born in a noble family, the grandson of the great duke, who was a war hero the empire admired. No one had ever embarrassed him to this point. A mere Omega chose to escape with another Omega instead of obediently marrying him. How could he not be angry? His political rivals had gone about making sure everyone knew that his fiancee would rather be with an Omega than him. Catching the slight trembling coming from the male Omega in front of him made him furious. He stepped forward and repeatedly slapped the delicate Omega in front of him. "Why do you tremble? Am I not treating you well enough? You have money and status, what more does a useless thing like you deserve?" The male Omega was used to this treatment. Eric was a very violent alpha, and many of the omegas he kept were beaten by him, just so he could vent his anger. The male Omega just curled into a ball, trying to restrain the painful gasps that wanted to escape. If you showed a reaction, you''d only get beaten harder, so he just let the tears silently fall, his teeth biting desperately on his bottom lip. After what seemed like an eternity, Eric seemed to get bored, spat on him and left. He just laid there bruised and bleeding, envying the rumoured fiancee that managed to escape the fate of marrying this lunatic. Chapter 5 Waking up the next day, Arel and Sile couldn''t hide their excitement. They rushed to wash up and consume a bottle of nutrient solution, their faces full of expectation. After coming down from the spacecraft, the two omegas stood in front of the machines. Arel took the lead, she began connecting to the machines through the device on her wrist. After inputting the orders, the machines started simultaneously, and began to Terra form the land according to their orders. Arel and Sile watched as the behemoths began to plough through large areas of untouched land. The noise of the machines engines could be heard kilometres away. The two omegas stood side by side next to the spacecraft, dwarfed by the many machines in the distance that were continuing their orders. A sight that would look out of place anywhere else, had a rare sense of peace. .... The empire has almost reached a boiling point. Recently on the most popular social network, Spacewave, a new vlogging channel has gained unparalleled popularity. The channel is called ''Arel and Sile''s leisurely farming life''. The appearance of this channel shocked not only the common people, but also the government. It has to be stated that the government had recently made a breakthrough in their research on agriculture, but they only managed to harvest a small batch of potatoes. They knew that what they were missing was never the knowledge of how to grow these crops. What they were missing was a planet with the right conditions to allow the planted seeds to actually grow into a plant worth harvesting. The government has been searching for planets with the condition to grow these plants, however in the vast territory of the empire, they have never found such a planet. They have hoped to find a planet that could mimic the ancient earth their ancestors hailed from, but after a terrible war, earth was annihilated. Now they see through a holographic video, the existence of not only the planet they have always been looking for, but also fields full of fruits, vegetables and grains as far as the eye can see. The two exceptionally beautiful omegas would walk peacefully through the fields, small harvesting drones were seen tending to the various fields. It showed such a serene and pleasant scenery. As if they had glimpsed at paradise itself. Not only members of the government were shocked by these videos, but also the noble families, including the royal family itself. The emperor saw the vast fields in the replay of the video. Looking at the ministers, he calmly asked. "Have you figured out where the signal for the channel is located?" You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story. The minister in charge of internet security was dishevelled and haggard. It can be seen that he has been having a lot of trouble recently. The minister timidly replied "No your majesty. We believe they have a very advanced signal jammer in use. We aren''t even able to triangulate the general location of this planet". The emperor''s eyes became sharper. Not only had the two omegas been able to find the type of planet they had been searching for, but they also had advanced equipment to hide their presence. If this wasn''t a slap in the face to the empire, then he couldn''t understand the motives of the two omegas. "However your majesty, I have information on the identities of the two omegas that have appeared" said another minister. "Speak" the emperor ordered. "They seem to be the missing daughters of the Sentar and Rische houses", the minister explained. The emperor remembered the commotion that was caused half a century ago. Although the two families wanted to suppress the matter, but there is no impenetrable wall, and naturally the truth of the matter came out, which brought quite a bit of shame to the two aristocratic families. Not only did two omegas fall in love with each other, but they also managed to escape the planet and disappear into thin air. The emperor even chuckled a few times after seeing the downcast faces of the two families, now seeing the helplessness of the ministers below, he can also understand what those families felt back then. He didn''t bother trying to ask the two families if they knew where the pair were. It would be a pointless question. He knew that the escape back then was probably far more elaborate than the two families let on. Arel woke up with a shudder, feeling a very powerful pheromone spreading throughout the bedroom. She smelled the rich vanilla scent and knew it was time for Sile''s heat. Although omegas aren''t as mutually repulsive as alphas, there is a slight discomfort when two high level omegas share the same space. However after so many years together, Arel has learned to enjoy the discomfort brought by her lover''s pheromones. She looked down at Sile''s face, her brows were frowning and her cheeks had already been stained pink with blush. Arel''s eyes were full of affection as she left gentle kisses down her lover''s face, tracing towards the gland near the back of her neck. Sile seemed to be able to understand what was about to happen, and turned her head cooperatively, allowing Arel better access to her gland. Arel was not in a rush, she left gentle kisses around the gland, causing the slight dissatisfaction of the Omega under her, but she didn''t intend to comply with Sile, she changed to licking the gland, enjoying the small amount of vanilla pheromone that Sile couldn''t help but discharge. Sile was very dizzy at the moment, her body was filled with a scorching heat, and even in her confused state she could feel that Arel was teasing her again. She opened her mist covered eyes and glared at the abominable Omega, her mouth pouting, fully showing that Arel better be obedient, otherwise she won''t fall for her coaxing. Arel couldn''t help but chuckle, she whispered to Sile. "Okay, I''m sorry, my love. Let me mark you". Sile saw that she was willing to listen and turned her head, allowing Arel to access the beautiful gland once more. Arel didn''t tease her again, she put her mouth over Sile''s gland and bit down. She felt the discomfort of the two Omega pheromones mixing, creating a sense of strange ecstasy the two had learned to enjoy. Chapter 6 After Arel had finished re-marking Sile, she lazily strode towards the window. The curtains automatically opened upon her approach, revealing a breathtaking scene. Crops of all kinds flourishing as far as the eye could see. All of them maintained by small drones. Arel would stand in front of the window every morning to bear witness to the paradise she had created with the love of her life. Sile who had just come down from the pleasure after her heat stabilised saw Arel doing her normal morning routine, she joked "The scene hasn''t changed in decades. Are you so enamoured by it? I might start to get jealous". Arel looked back at her lover. Sile''s golden hair seemed to have been irradiated by the sun, as it sprawled messily around the delicate woman laying on the bed. Arel smiled after coming back to her senses "I can assure you, my love. If I had but a moment to choose what I want to see before I took my last breath, you would be the only answer that came to mind". Sile felt a warmth spreading through her heart, but she still scolded "What are you doing speaking about death so early. We have more than enough time to lament on that, when we become old and grey... plus, the moment you leave, I would still be their beside you. Don''t think that one lifetime is enough for me. You''re stuck with me for eternity". Arel''s eyes were full of tenderness as she gazed upon Sile. "I''d never dream of going alone. Even an eternity isn''t enough time for me to have with you", she said lovingly. Sile couldn''t help but giggle at Arel''s shameless display of affection, so she said "Alright, enough of your corny words, my little poet. How about we get started for the day?" Arel laughed, "Alright alright. Let''s go, we have a busy day ahead". The two washed up together, laughter could be heard throughout the house, bringing a sense of liveliness and warmth to the lone structure. The two knew they could live incognito on this planet without ever worrying about food or shelter. No one would wander here on purpose, but they had always wanted to do something meaningful with their lives. They wanted everyone to know, that even omegas, who society put into this little protective bubble believing that their only use should be giving birth to children for the empire, could do something more. A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. That''s not to say there are no omegas who pursue a career, but the only acceptable places have usually been in the entertainment industry. Alphas have an iron grip on all industries that involve the government, and research. Even the rare few genius level omegas suffer serious gender discrimination while trying to benefit the empire. It isn''t wrong to say the other two genders think of omegas as objects. Arel and Sile were born into aristocratic families, they know this discrimination all too well. They were taught from an early age that their only purpose was to marry and produce children. If their alpha were to die, they would be remarried to someone of a lower status, to continue giving birth. Like a vicious cycle, their physical autonomy seemed to have never belonged to them. This would be acceptable if it was just that the families they lived in were old fashioned and pedantic, but this has become the social norm. Alphas who are born with superior physical abilities, and high mental strength stand atop the hierarchy, placing themselves in most positions of power. Betas are the majority, they have found their own place doing all the menial tasks the alphas do not want to, and the tasks robots are not advanced enough to complete. Meanwhile omegas have been forced out. Their strength and stature are far less than both genders, and they suffer from heats quarterly where they truly lose control of their own actions, releasing pheromones that attract alphas like hyenas smelling blood. There have been countless incidents of an Omega going into heat causing a violent reaction from the surrounding alphas, only for that Omega to suffer horrendous humiliation during that period. Although there was no lack of those problems even if the Omega wasn''t in their period of heat. Society has showed its contempt for omegas in all levels. Arel and Sile want to prove that although they aren''t the strongest or the fastest. Their intelligence is no lower than any of the smartest alphas or betas. Just look at what they have completed. In just fifty years the world that had nothing but land, is now full of the most desired items the empire have ever seen. The messages they have received from the few videos they posted have caused the network to crash multiple times. Many wealthy people have even offered amounts that make the two omegas dumbfounded. They both came from well off families, but they had never seen such recklessly large offers. However the two are not going to pass these offers up. Their original intention was to prove their abilities. Wealth is a valid indicator of a person''s ability, and it also brings a level of power. The two omegas know that they will be coveted for what they possess, and to society, they are just two omegas. They will always be looked down upon, which will mean they will have to work much harder than someone of a different gender with less ability than them. Luckily Arel and Sile are aware of this, and thanks to their mining planet they have done a lot in this short few decades. Things that may have seemed impossible to others, they will take for granted. Arel herself has been focusing on building a warp point. The two know they will one day sell these fruits and vegetables all over the empire, and they don''t have months to transport them. So a small untraceable point was built between their planet and the asteroid field that protects this solar system. Allowing them to send the drones that can carry the various crops to their destinations using the warp point that they remotely connected to the empire. This makes it very possible to be traced back, but Arel fitted a location jammer that has seemingly rendered the empire unable to find even a clue of their whereabouts. Chapter 7 Arel was busy tinkering with the final components of her warp point. She had suffered countless setbacks and failures when building it. Add on to that the rarity of some of the parts necessary, which had to be purchased through the black market, and this warp point can be said to have caused her an unbelievable amount of effort. Though Arel and Sile can look fondly back at those thrilling adventures dealing with all kinds of criminals and thieves that lurk in the farther reaches of the empire, where the law can''t be enforced and anything you could think of could be found. However, a few times, they really thought they would meet their maker, or worse. The two of them didn''t much wish to ever go back, but they knew if they needed some legally unattainable items, they would still take the risk to go back. Now that Arel is completing the finishing touches, Sile has been managing the various crops on the planet. It won''t be long before they will begin harvesting, and she''ll need to sell them off quickly. The two knew that this would bring dissatisfaction from the government, perhaps they would freeze their accounts, but it won''t last long. If people are willing to buy it, and the government shuts down the only seller, how much anger they would incur would be detrimental to them. "Sile, I''m done. I''ll go and attach the last pieces. Are you ready?" "Yeah, ready when you are", Sile said. Arel quickly boarded the spacecraft and set off for the warp point. After connecting the final part, she activated the warp point. Although she had calculated everything, she was still full of nervousness. Watching anxiously, the desolate metal structure started to make a low whirring noise before an ethereal light flickered in the middle of the large metal ring. At first it looked to be jittery, but after a while it stabilised into a solid multicoloured array. Arel couldn''t help but let out a cheer. She felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. She quickly reported back to Sile. "Wife, it''s up and running. Send a few drones this way so we can see if it works properly". Sile could hear the pride and joy in her tone and quickly agreed. "Well done, my love. I''ll send some now". Arel waited to see the drones, when they reached the warp point she filled in the coordinates of one of the empires less used warp points. Sending the drones through she asked Sile to bring them back. When the drone came back through, Arel had already begun to scan for any damage. Perhaps they were blessed with fortune, all of the drones managed to come back intact, so she asked Sile to fit some with the fruits and vegetables, and see if they were also able to go back and forth intact. The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. The tests all proved that there was no problem, so Arel quickly returned to Sile, smiling from ear to ear. "It works, so many years spent. Thankfully it works" Arel said relaxedly. "This is just the beginning. We''ll be much busier from now on" Sile said dampening the relaxed look on Arel''s face. "Darling can''t we take a little break? just a little one? ", Arel said while putting her thumb and index finger close together. Sile let out a joyous laugh, "After we get used to the sales, we can find some time to visit a nice and scenic world, okay?" she asked her lover with a spoiling tone. Arel knew that they couldn''t get away at the moment, but when she heard Sile''s promise, she quickly accepted it. "Of course. What my wife said is right". The two could be seen happily walking through the fields close to their house. They were checking through the offers that came in. After accepting the highest priced ones, they set the drones to harvest only what was ordered, before boxing it up and sending the drones off. It wasn''t unusual to have drones as the default delivery device. So seeing countless drones coming and going unimpeded, the few unsuspecting drones filled with what is probably the rarest commodity in the empire did not arouse any suspicion. After accepting the order, a notification was sent to the people that purchased it. Most of these people were the children of merchants. They usually have the most time to waste, and they have no lack of money to spend. While the rest of their families are going out working, they''re usually idle, partying, clubbing and the sort. In their spare time they usually like to look for strange and exotic things. So when they came across the only channel in the empire that showed the unattainable foods of their ancestors,it was natural for them to put in an offer. Of course some of them thought it was a hoax, and just had a ''what if'' mentality, but when they saw the offer was accepted, they wondered if they had been scammed. It wasn''t until only two hours after confirmation of the purchase, that they received the delivery confirmation which surprised them. After returning to the address they listed. They found a tightly wrapped insulation box. With a little excitement and anticipation, they took the boxes in and opened it. They were quickly stunned by the sight of the still fresh fruits and vegetables, before taking them out and seeing the instructions of how they should be consumed. One of the buyers was a male alpha named Sen. He saw that the order was delivered, and after opening it, knew it was the real deal. He was a filial son who loved his Omega father very much, so he quickly took the package and ran to find him. "What''s the rush for, Sensen?", the delicate and handsome Omega asked worriedly. "Daddy I bought you a present" Sen replied proudly. "You don''t have tk go out of your way to look for something for me", he said, but the smile on his face couldn''t be hidden. When Sen opened the package and showed his Omega father, he could see the shock on his father''s face. Sen quickly took out the fruits and processed them as the instructions said. He watched in delight as his father tasted the fruit, with a joyful expression on his face. "This is so delicious Sensen. Where did you manage to find these things?" "I found a channel that was full of various crops. I didn''t know if it was true or not, but it seems I was right to try" Sen answered. Chapter 8 It was at that moment that an imposing female alpha walked into the room where the two were staying. Sen put away his smug expression and obediently said, "Mother". Sen''s mother let out a "hmm" and walked to the mature Omega. "What''s got you so excited, dear?" The Omega looked at his alpha and handed a fruit to her mouth in a coquettish manner, trying to speak for his son. "Sensen found a treasure. Try it". The female alpha had no guard against her Omega, so with no hesitation she ate the strange food that was being delivered to her mouth. After tasting it she thought it was quite delicious, so she voiced her thoughts. "It''s pretty good". When she looked down at her husband, she could see a little dissatisfaction in his eyes, she asked. "What''s wrong?" The omega knew that his alpha only had money on her mind. She didn''t take much time listening to the historical lectures when they were in university, so with an eye roll in frustration, he answered. "The food that you just said was ''pretty good'' just so happens to be a fruit that hasn''t been grown for over ten thousand years. It''s called an ''orange'',which is said to be both tangy and sweet". The female alpha felt a little embarrassed, she knew she didn''t care much about learning, but she still wanted to save face in front of her Omega. Seeing her dull brat snickering from the corner of her eye, she sent him a majestic look, and he straightened up instantly. Looking at her son, she thought "You''re far too young to try make fun of me, little brat". With some time to digest the news, she started to have some doubts. Turning to her son. "Where did you get these things from? The government doesn''t seem to have made such advances in agriculture. Otherwise they wouldn''t hesitate to promote it". Sen understood her doubts and explained, "When I was browsing online I came across a channel that was showing various fields full of these things. Remembering that daddy had always talked about them when I was younger, I couldn''t help but put in an offer, just thinking if it''s true, it would be a great surprise. Thankfully it wasn''t a hoax". He quickly opened the communication device and sent the link to his mother. When she opened the page, what she saw was the vast area full of drones managing the fields. Huge Terra formers in the distance constantly working. She may not have an interest in history, but she has a brain for business. Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere. "This is not a set up that anyone could produce. It''s no secret that the empire has been looking for planets with the conditions to allow agricultural experiments. Now this channel openly shows that a planet has been found and not only was not handed over, but completed what they were hoping to. Those machines in the background are far different from the regular Terra formers I have seen. These videos scream wealth and confidence. So who owns this channel? " " That''s the thing, mother. In their description, they wrote that they''re two omegas who started a farming channel together", Sen said. The female alpha thought there must be something else hidden in the matter. If two omegas could just fly off to a planet that the government has been avidly searching for, with seeds to grow crops that only the wealthiest families could have, with machinery that is unforeseen by any mining company she''s ever been to, she wouldn''t believe it. She doesn''t look down on omegas, she just wonders where the two of them got their confidence to succeed from. Looking at the comments from those people that received their orders, she was curious as to what their plans were. This is pretty much a compete humiliation to the empire. What they have expended so much money and manpower to complete, two omegas managed it alone. She thinks there must be quite a bit of entertainment in the foreseeable future. Scenes of the fruits and vegetables being eaten were posted on Spacewave by countless idle, wealthy alphas, betas and omegas. They have always liked to show off, which has again caused the network to crash. The engineers and maintenance staff are fuming at the constant problems, but they''re helpless to stop it. The government has already noticed these videos and have been trying to determine where the two omegas are. The problem that they have encountered is that so many drones pass through the various warp points outside of the planets. So they decided to order some by themselves and then they would capture the drone back hoping to trace the coordinates of the planet from it. The two omegas had already guessed this would happen, and although they don''t want to hurt others, but there Safety and future relies on the fact that they remain undetected. So a self destruct program was implanted in every drone that would go off only when the drone was tampered with. The explosion that came from the drone was not large, but it was more than enough to destroy the laboratory the drone was taken to. News of the deaths of those researchers reached back to the emperor and ministers, and a little bit of fear couldn''t help but appear in their hearts. "How well planned was this? Not only is it difficult to find the drones when they deliver items, but now they are fitted with explosives for when they''re tampered with. What about just following it to the warp point? And tracing where it goes from there?" the emperor asked with a little frustration. "Not yet possible, your majesty. As soon as the drone goes through the warp point, it''s as if it disappeared into thin air". The minister in charge of the warp points explained. "How is that possible?" the emperor asked curiously. "They must be using a particularly powerful jammer" said the minister. "Wouldn''t we be able to notice which warp point the drones came out of though?" asked the emperor. The minister seemed hesitant but finally replied, "That should be the case, but no increase in drones have been spotted, which leads me to an outrageous thought." "Speak" said the emperor. "Perhaps they have their own warp point" the minister said. Gasps came from everyone in the room. It should be known that various rare and extremely dangerous components are needed to create a warp point. Any mistake could cause the tearing of the fabric of space and lead to the creation of a black hole. How could two omegas create all of this in just fifty years? Chapter 9 The emperor wondered if the two families the omegas belong to had anything to do with this. He had always thought of others with the greatest malice. Only in that way would he never be caught off guard. However the information he had asked for showed that they were far more worried about this situation than him. If the families weren''t involved, then where did they amass such a large amount of materials? The black market? Perhaps, but he has spies there that monitor any large transactions. So where have they produced so much metal to create not only the machines and drones, but also a warp point? He sat up in shock. Maybe it was because he had no shortage of such a material, so he overlooked a very simple issue. The fragments of the drone recovered after the explosion were tested and contained pieces of ''azandium'', a light but highly durable metal discovered by the current emperor''s father. Its main use is for defensive purposes, and with it being so uncommon, it''s use is strictly focused towards battle cruisers and mecha suits. It''s not that azandium isn''t able to be sold illegally. There are always small amounts that can be smuggled off of those mining planets. For this, the emperor can only grit his teeth and bare it, but he clearly saw the identical drones in the videos. Add on to that the Terra formers and warp point, and there''s only one possible answer left. The two omegas have found not only a much anticipated liveable planet, but also a rich azandium mine. He had to give it to the two of them. They were truly ingenious. However this is a harsh slap to the royal majesty. He can''t allow this to go unpunished, but he knew this would not be an easy task. Looking around he noticed an alpha with a gloomy face. "Major General Colt" the emperor called. "Yes, your majesty?" Eric replied. "I will leave finding the two omegas'' location to the first fleet" the emperor ordered lightly. "Thank you for your trust, your majesty, I shall not let you down", Eric replied aggressively, a dark gleam flashed in his eyes. He would never let those two little sluts go. How dare they embarrass him so badly. The emperor didn''t know the sordid things in the Major generals mind, but even if he did, he still wouldn''t care. However he still had to warn this reckless alpha. If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. "You should be cautious if you approach them. They most likely have an azandium mine, in which to produce weapons with". The ministers all had the sentence in their mind. Greed shone in their eyes, but their faces remained expressionless. However it is unknown how many of the ministers have also sent their own small forces out in search of Arel and Sile, hoping to be the lucky one to reach them a step ahead, and grab as many benefits as they can. Arel and Sile didn''t know that countless ministers were looking for them as if they were a piece of meat, and the ministers were vultures. Even if they knew, it wasn''t as if they were unprepared. The emperors guess was correct, they knew they couldn''t just rely on the natural border of the asteroid field, so various weapons systems have been built throughout the solar system. The most terrifying of them is an array weapon with both offensive and defensive capabilities. Drawing power directly from the various stars, the drones can create a large web to connect themselves. Even if a drone is destroyed, the web link can accommodate the loss, or another drone can simply take its place. Add on to that the defensive capability of the azandium drones, as well as the energy produced from the stars, and all attacks can be dissipated equally among the entire array, reducing the damage that a single drone endures. The array also allows offensive output. Redirecting the energy of the stars towards a target with no end, like an unending laser beam that will disintegrate anything in its path. The two also have the benefit of testing the weaknesses of azandium, and know that it is weak to continuous focused attacks in any certain spot, hence the choice for the laser. With this array''s creation, Arel and Sile believe that even if the empire finds their location,it would need to send multiple fleets to even possibly break through the array. That''s not counting the rest of the defences that have been built, or are currently being built, and if worse comes to worst, there is always the final choice. The two of them didn''t have these depressing thoughts in mind at the moment. They were watching the various news reports and social media links filled with people trying their crops. Sile was chuckling while watching. Arel could only helplessly roll her eyes. Her lover was probably thinking something very demeaning at the moment like "How indecent, to show such an obsessed and idiotic face when just trying a piece of fruit". Sile had always had this little quirk. Whenever she chuckled, it meant she was enjoying the stupidity of someone. It took her many years to realise it, and by the time she had, she''d already fallen in love with Sile, so she obviously accommodated this not so polite part of her partner. Sile was indeed enjoying the idiotic looks of the people that were showing off while eating. Watching the comments that were appearing faster than she could read, she was worried whether Spacewave could handle the large amount of traffic. The two of them went to their own profile, they saw the numbers of followers increasing by the second. What was originally a few hundred thousand before they sent out the first batch, was now well into the tens of millions. Countless offers were being sent, and they both knew the free advertising they had inadvertently received from those rich and idle people had caused this unexpected success. Chapter 10 The government obviously couldn''t directly intervene in the channel. If they were to forcefully block either the channel or the accounts of the omegas; it would cause huge backlash from the public. The empire has been hoping to see this kind of breakthrough for millennia. Even if they were full of greed for the profits coming from the sales, they could only watch helplessly as the numbers in the account increased. Arel was busy dealing with the defenses around the solar system, leaving Sile to be quite leisurely at home. The management of the fields is almost completely autonomous. The only thing she really needs to oversee is how many drones return from the deliveries. She has noticed that a few have gone missing, however she knew they wouldn''t be coming back. Now at this moment Sile is simply resting on the couch viewing the comments. There are many praising them, a few obviously trying to make trouble, but many that surprised her, were asking for a livestream. She wondered what the use of a livestream could be for? To get to know them? She wasn''t too interested, but for some reason she couldn''t completely deny that she wanted to try. When Arel returned she was covered in sweat. She just wanted to go upstairs and shower, but when she saw Sile''s face with an expectant look when facing her, she could only sigh in her heart. ''It seems like she has some new idea''. Arel was still too familiar with her wife, she knew every look, every expression, or subtle movement. She honestly fulfilled Sile''s expectations and asked. "Is there something on your mind? You seem pensive". Sile knew that Arel was humouring her, so she maintained a complicated expression while replying. "There were many more comments, talking about pricing, livestreams. Some seemed to want to fish in troubled waters, however they were quickly suppressed by the huge number". ''There it is'', Arel thought. Her wife likes to "inadvertantly" add what she wants to the sentence, but expects it to be brought up so she can act as if she is following the other person''s idea. "Live streaming?", she asked knowingly. As expected, Sile had a complacent expression on her face. "Yes, it seems people are curious about our lives. So are you interested?" Sile asked hesitantly. This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version. ''Can I not be?'' Arel wanted to roll her eyes. "Of course. It sounds quite fun, but is there really that much to talk about when livestreaming?" Sile pondered what Arel said, "Well how about we try it out once first? If it doesn''t work out, we''ll just forget about it". "It seems that''s the only way" Arel agreed. The excitement of Arel and Sile''s channel had not only not decreased in popularity over time, but continued to increase. The influencers on Spacewave saw the great potential of the channel and wanted to try rub a bit of heat from them, however they found they couldn''t figure out a way to connect with them. Until one seemed to have the information of who the channel belonged to. The identities of Arel and Sile were exposed in this way. It isn''t hard to see that there was someone behind funnelling the information, since that wasn''t something just anyone could have been privy to. So a new wave of attention came from this. Although the public expected the owners of the channel were definitely not regular people, and they knew from the description of the channel that they were both omegas. However they would''ve never guessed that the two of them escaped from their families because of the relationship between the two of them. There were all kinds of comments coming in. Many were shocked by the courage that the two of them showed. Others were disgusted with the relationship between two omegas. Those ones were quickly attacked by the majority. The government had been too controlling of their bodily rights due to the declining birth rates, and the common people had already started to build up resentment for this. Obviously humanity is able to accept some constraints for the "greater good", but controlling who you''re able to be with has definitely stepped on some people''s bottom lines. Even though the control with regular people isn''t as heavy as those noble families that care about reputation, but if you aren''t married by 150, the government will match you to the person with the highest pheromone fit in their database. 150 years seems like a long time, but in the span of a lifetime it''s only a small part. How could anyone be willing to be given to someone they have never even met before? Especially if the purpose of the marriage is simply reproduction. That type of "tradition" should''ve died off in ancient times, when humanity was still in its ignorant state. Now when seeing the two omegas, who are seen as only worthy of giving birth, but are willing to fight for their love made the many resentful people who had been forced to marry finally have idols to look up to. So when those nasty comments appeared, they were ruthlessly and mercilessly attacked. Within moments the name of the person that commented and their address was posted anonymously which terrified those that just wanted to slander others. They quickly deleted their comments, and those that wanted to maliciously join in the fun couldn''t bare to try, just in case they would be the next target of these anonymous I.T experts. Arel was busy cooking dinner for the two of them when she heard Sile''s chuckling coming from the lounge room. She couldn''t help but wonder what poor person had suffered to make her wife so joyful, but it''s better to just pretend not to hear it. If the person in question ever heard Sile trying to explain the situation, they''d probably be unwilling to ever leave their house again. Her wife can always hit someone where it hurts. She has a tongue more venomous than even the most deadly reptiles. Arel leaned against the wall that connected the loungeroom and kitchen, looking lovingly at Sile who was immersed with whatever had caught her attention. Chapter 11 The morning light shone on the two sleeping omegas. Arel was the lighter sleeper of the two, so she was quickly awakened by the brightness. Though the two could simply turn on the dimming feature of the windows, they felt there was a kind of serenity when being awoken by the natural light. Arel completed her morning routine with the utmost solemnity. Bending down to Sile''s sleeping face, she left whisper like kisses all over, following her accustomed route. Sile enjoyed being woken up by Arel in this way. Her lips were like a feather tickling it''s way along her face, but she knew if she didn''t wake up, Arel would continue down lower and that was not advisable today. So with great reluctance she opened her eyes and smiled warmly "Morning, my dear". Arel replied in her usual gentle tone, "Good morning, my love. Is there something to prepare for today?" Sile wondered if she was so transparent. Thinking back of her usual morning routine, she was rarely embarrassed by her coquettish appearance everyday, which made it so easy for Arel to see through her. While covering up the blush that adorned her face she mentioned "Didn''t I say I wanted to try a livestream. Well there''s no time like the present. We might as well just do it today". "Okay, where do you want to do it. Outside among the fields?" Arel asked, pretending she couldn''t see Sile''s embarrassment. "For the first time, maybe we can just try the lounge room. You can just watch your variety shows. As long as you''re next to me". Arel couldn''t help but want to laugh. Clearly Sile was afraid of her getting bored, so she let her watch her favourite shows just in case. "Well, I listen to you" Arel whispered in her ear lovingly. So after the two washed up and had breakfast, Arel went out to complete her daily inspection, meanwhile Sile was busy setting up the camera. Holding the floating orb, she wondered where the best place to put it would be, so that it didn''t get in the way of Arel. She chose to just keep it near her side of the couch, so that she could see the comments better. Arel walked in and saw Sile had already set everything up, she came up behind her and wrapped her arms around Sile''s waist. "Are you ready?", she asked. This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it Sile felt a tingle run through her body. Arel knew that her ears were very sensitive. She always found pleasure in catching her off guard, and making her knees weak with just a word. She glared at her troublemaking wife and spoke. "Yes. If you''re done inspecting, then let''s start". The two of them sat down. Sile had already put on Arel''s variety show for her. It was a new season of a popular survival show that sent both rookie and veteran entertainers to different planets to see how they would fare in distinct and unfamiliar scenarios. Arel always believed that Sile was the only one that had a slightly twisted quirk, but they had grown up together and they were very similar in many things. Arel never chuckled when she saw others unlucky, but her eyes would visibly brighten. Sile enjoyed this little secret, just as Arel did to her. They truly were a mischievous match made in heaven. Sile quickly focused on the livestream, tapping on the option on their channel in Spacewave. At first there seemed to be no interest, but it seemed that it had just frozen for a moment and before she knew it, there were thousands of viewers. The public''s attention had long been focused on the channel ''Arel and Sile'' s simple farming life'' for two reasons. Firstly the identities of the two, and secondly the achievements they had made. So when they saw the enter livestream option, they didn''t hesitate to click on it. What they were met with were two incomparably beautiful omegas. One with golden and the other auburn. Both were rare colours, but knowing their ancestry, it wasn''t difficult to understand. However what shocked them were their faces. Although different, both would rival goddesses. The alphas that were watching had felt it was a great shame for the two attractive omegas to be wasted on each other, when they should belong to an alpha, so as to help carry on their bloodline. This way of thinking is ingrained from birth. Although they can be considered to be a ''product of their times'', when those that are treated like objects hear this, it just breeds disgust and disdain. The omegas truly do wonder if these alphas really believe themselves to be gods, and that any mortal should obediently bow their heads, and spread their legs at their presence, but time and time again, they are astonished by the egoism and shamelessness of the so called ''superior'' gender. Luckily Spacewave has a very intricate monitoring system, so that any overtly slanderous or pornographic comments are automatically deleted. This has saved a lot of trouble for the people who rely on social media to make a living. The viewers saw that the golden haired Omega was reading through the comments, while the auburn haired one''s attention seemed to be on the television that they could hear in the background. Although neither of them had spoken, there was a sense of comfortability and closeness between the two. At the beginning there were many voices that denied the possibility of love between two omegas, just as they said it was impossible for two alphas. However when seeing the natural body language of the two, the viewers couldn''t help but believe that perhaps it wasn''t a lie. Sile was reading comments and chose a few standard ones that she wanted to reply to. (Hey, please introduce yourself) "Hello my name''s Sile, and sitting over there is my lover Arel". When the viewers heard Sile''s voice, they felt as if they had heard the most perfect voice. It was a mix of gentle, but firm; sweet, but magnetic. It was as if her voice was a contradiction itself, but they wouldn''t complain about it. They only thought one thing collectively. "As expected". Chapter 12 The livestream went smoother than expected. Although there were some troublesome questions, it seems the problematic groups didn''t intend to intervene in this matter. Sile closed the app after an hour. She felt it had been long enough and enough information had been given. She had many reasons to do this, but the main one was really just letting others put a face to the name. That way, any intervention by the government or the nobles would have to be carefully discussed before they thought to take action. However she isn''t ignorant enough to believe those groups can''t use certain underhanded methods to achieve their goals, but at least they''ll restrain themselves on the bright side. Arel got up to pour a glass of water for Sile. After speaking for so long, she would definitely need it. Handing it over she asked, "So? How did you think it went?" After Sile took a sip she replied, "It was alright. I hope it has helped us, even just a little". Arel thought that it might be able to do more than that. While sitting next to Sile, she could hear a lot of her responses. From the questions she sensed quite a bit of repressed frustration. Perhaps the empire isn''t as stable as they thought. It shouldn''t be surprising, there are too many divisions between genders and classes. Maybe the two of them can be the fuse to explode this turbulent situation. At least it would cause some trouble for those that are avidly looking for them. Arel thought about it and wondered if they could stir up the situation a little more. The best way to avoid being fished out, is to muddy up the waters. She turned to Sile and told her the plan she had come up with. "Sell the azandium?" Sile asked curiously. "Now that we have set up many defences in the solar system, and have little use for it, why not sell it so that those rebel forces can buy it to improve their armaments? It''ll cause the empire more problems, so that they''re not so focused on dealing with us", Arel explained. Sile pondered the plausibility of the plan. After a while she said "Okay, but we can''t take money for the transactions. The government is probably tracking our accounts, and selling resources to rebels is a good enough reason to freeze our accounts. The public won''t speak out for us either." Arel agreed with her statement. She contacted a few people they had met from the black market, that had some weight in the rebel alliance. The genuine version of this novel can be found on another site. Support the author by reading it there. When the person contacted heard that they had a source of azandium available, they were skeptical. Although they had many dealings with each other, but being hunted by the empire has made the rebels extremely cautious. The two omegas understood their hesitation. They proposed a gesture of goodwill. They sent the drones through a less conspicuous warp point to a barren part of space and left the coordinates to the rebels. When they reached the coordinates, they saw a few plain drones that couldn''t be more ordinary. The drones sensed the arrival of the small ship, ejected the packages and left immediately. When the rebels retrieved the packages and opened it up, they saw a few blocks of azandium ingots. Seeing this, the higher ups became a little moved. It should be known that although the rebels had quite a large number scattered around the various galaxies, their equipment lagged behind the empire. However they had been researching more advanced weaponry to try make up for their limited defensive capabilities. Seeing this offer of azandium, they obviously felt this pie that fell from the sky was a little to ''convenient''. They checked the ingots for tracing equipment. They checked the area for the presence of any fleets, but everything seemed to be as they were promised. They were tentative with the offer. However they received a reply that they couldn''t understand. The rebel leader was a gruff old alpha. His hoarse voice resounded in the room, "A trade?" The person that Arel contacted was the head of a certain district. A capable female beta. She hesitated to speak, but thought this opportunity couldn''t be passed up. "The person said there accounts have been monitored and any unusual transaction will arouse immediate action by the government. What they want is a trade of equal value in either energy crystals or our weaponry components". The room fell into silence. It wasn''t a well kept secret that they had researched more advanced weaponry, so what they asked for wasn''t crazy, but it could be said to be a worrying trade. "We have only just upgraded the weapons on our main battleships. Wouldn''t it be more important to continue fitting out the rest of the fleet first?" one of the district heads asked. "The reason we even needed the new weapons was because of our lack of azandium. I spoke with the person over there and they have assured me they have access to an entire mining planet" the female beta spoke. The rebel leader thought for a while, then spoke, "I don''t mind exchanging the weapon components and energy crystals. We''re not short of either, but are they willing to meet?" The female beta said "They said they''re being hunted pretty intensely at the moment, and they''re hunkering down somewhere safe. So they don''t mind if the exchanges are just between drones. They also said we are free to choose the meeting point, but if the drones are intercepted before they reach the warp point, then they won''t be willing to continue". The rebel leader was intrigued by these people. He hadn''t heard of any other groups around, but he thought maybe they were pirates. It didn''t really matter who they were. Seeing as they were willing to give so much leeway he proposed a small exchange first to allow both sides to see the validity. When the drones arrived. There was a small group of rebels already waiting. The exchange went peacefully and the drones left the space after scanning the items. The rebels also didn''t hang around for long after verifying the azandium was legitimate. All in all the first trade went very smoothly. Chapter 13 With the assurance of the first few trades, larger amounts started to be sent. The rebel forces that have been at a standstill with the empire have also begun to win a few small victories. The emperor sat in his study, looking at the report of a few losses by the fleet stationed near the barren galaxy. Usually he wouldn''t care about the tug of war that went on between the two. It was enough for the general in charge of the fleet to deal with, but something stuck out to him when he received the report. The captain that faced off against the rebels wrote in his report ''The equipment of the rebels seems to have improved in quality, showing signs of outclassing our own''. This captain had served on the front lines for centuries. He knew very well the level and abilities of the rebels, but now he has noticed an improvement. Emperors of all ages have always had some level of suspicion. He knew the rebels had invented newer and more powerful weaponry, but they still lacked in terms of defensive capability, but now they seemed to have shown signs of changing this weakness. It wasn''t hard for him to guess that they had gotten their hands on some azandium. However he looked through all trade reports and hadn''t seen any losses from the shipments. He also checked through the management of the few azandium mining planets searching for any minister in charge helping in smuggling it out. Although he found that many of the mines were not as airtight and secure as he thought, it wasn''t enough to where the rebels could upgrade their battleships with it. So now he''s forced to wonder how they managed to get their hands on it. Though it didn''t take him long before his mind flashed on what he had said at the meeting a while ago. "Those two omegas" he gasped. He had forgotten about them for the most part. Although they had caused a loss of face for the empire, but he really didn''t care much about their actions. After all, he has to deal with the affairs of an entire empire, and two runaway lovers aren''t worthy of his attention, even if they have created something the empire promised to. Now he wondered if they had any involvement. He could understand their motives for doing so. He wasn''t unaware of the actions the various ministers made after he voiced his opinion. As long as it didn''t touch his bottom line, he would close one eye and ignore it. If they were aware of the consequences of being caught, then it''s easy to see why they would be willing to ally themselves with the rebels. They can trade the one thing the rebels are desperate for, and in return they enjoy some peace and quiet while the rebels start causing the government more trouble. A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation. The emperor had to say, he was very impressed with the cunning of these two omegas. It is unfortunate they have crossed his bottom line, otherwise he would probably make an exception, and give them a position in the government. The emperor called his assistant, "Contact General Lark and Minister Gunn". After half an hour, the holograms of the two alphas appeared in front of the emperor. Both saluted the moment they saw the emperor. The emperor waved them, telling them to sit. After seeing them seated the emperor spoke. "General Lark there is a very real possibility the rebels have obtained access to a large amount of azandium". General Lark narrowed his eyes when hearing what the emperor said. His usually cold face showing a solemn expression. "If that''s the case, your majesty, then giving them time to upgrade their battleships would be detrimental. Would I have your majesty''s permission to use a little more force?" General Lark asked calmly. The emperor knew that delaying time would increase the advantage the rebels had against the third fleet, under the command of General Lark. " Yes. Proceed as you see fit", the emperor acquiesced. General Lark saluted his majesty before disconnecting from the call. The emperor than turned to the female alpha''s hologram. "Minister Gunn, I need you to figure out where the trade between the rebels and their supplier is taking place. Check the warp points for any suspicious activity". "Yes, your majesty. I''ll check immediately", she replied before saluting and disconnecting. The emperor left the task to the General and the minister of transport. He didn''t want to see a civil war at the moment. With the foreign threats he faced being so troublesome, he really didn''t have the patience for internal conflict. Arel watched the news, reporting the heated actions of the rebels and the government. She and Sile looked at each other. "They definitely know we have azandium. Otherwise they wouldn''t be so quick to launch an offensive", Sile said nonchalantly. "They should be checking the warp points thoroughly from now on. How do you want to continue?" Arel asked. Sile thought about it. If they were to intercept the drones, it would be a problem if the rebels couldn''t cause as much chaos as they expected. "How about using distractions. We''ll send drones through all warp points, at various times? That way they''ll be running around like headless flies". Sile pondered. "Well add some empty drones to the ones going through to trade, so at least if they have a patrol there, at least they can be used to confuse them". Arel agreed. When minister Gunn saw the sudden increase in all the warp points, she felt as if she was going to blow a fuse. ''How blatant are you?'' she thought. She ordered patrol teams to wait outside the warp points, but because manpower was scarce, there were too few for when the drones really showed up. When one of the patrol teams were talking greedily about prying open one of the drones to see if there was anything worth taking, they were faced with the same fate as the researchers that had tried to do so before. An explosion left the remaining debris of the small spacecraft scattered close to the warp point, as the drones with the real packages had continued to fly to the changed drop off coordinates. Chapter 14 Minister Gunn has been trying her hardest to detain these drones. However, they seem to have an innumerable number of tricks to bypass her security checkpoints. The rebels have felt the seriousness of the government this time, and have put all their forces into action. They have been constantly refitting as many of their battleships with azandium as possible. Fortunately the higher ups of the rebel alliance are skilled enough to not lose to the captains under General Lark''s command, but they are aware that they''re outmatched in terms of supplies and resources. At the moment they can stand toe to toe with the third fleet, but if the emperor becomes dissatisfied, he can easily send out reinforcements from the idle fleets stationed within the empire. If he''s desperate he can also draft completely new fleets from the various planets under his rule. The rebels can only choose to use cruel and unexpected attacks. Sile watched the reports of attacks on the military camps with calm eyes. She guessed that even with the rebels superior numbers to the third fleet, they would not be a match for the imperial armada. She didn''t care much whether they were capable of truly winning against the empire, she and Arel just needed the rebels to do their part and create as much trouble to the empire as possible, which it seems they have been doing. With the newly acquired weapons they have amassed. Arel has been busy tinkering with different creations. She has replaced some of the original defenses spread out across the solar system, and has been focusing her time on creating unmanned mechas. It would be a complete waste of the resources they''ve gathered if they didn''t at least try to build an offensive force, instead of giving the empire a chance to retreat if they ever found their hideout. Although Arel and Sile had put together some extraordinary creations in their time, this wasn''t a simple machine that could be designed to do a couple things. Mechas were terrifying suits of armour that humans could pilot to increase their combat power enormously. Trying to figure out a way to have them move freely has given Arel a headache. However, they both know they''re in no rush. The empire is busy and they are well hidden. In this instance slow and steady is the proper approach. General Lark has also been having a headache. He has been head of the third fleet for a long time, yet this is truly the most troubling battle they have had to face. Its not that he and his soldiers are incompetent. With the resources given by the empire they truly can be said to have the advantage. However the truth is that they''re trying desperately to deal with these advanced weapons the rebels have built. Their cannons are unbelievably powerful. Even their most sturdy battle cruisers have suffered heavy damage under the rain of fire from these cannons. Add onto that the constant suicide attacks on their bases, they have little time to even repair the ships. He knows the rebels very well. He has faced off against them for many years. He''s aware that their actions are probably because they''re starting to feel pressured. After all, even the most docile creatures will bite if they have nowhere left to run. This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. He knew that as time went on, they would continue to use more merciless and outrageous attacks, but he wasn''t going to let off the pressure. This war was always going to be a bloody one, and he would never allow them to have a chance to breathe and recuperate. So under his orders, the fleet attacked the rebels more fiercely. The military bases on various planets set out commands that if anyone tried to approach the base, they would be attacked indiscriminately. Some didn''t believe it at first, and after a warning shot, if they didn''t choose to turn around, they would be killed. Not only were the populace of the planets shocked, but even the rebels knew what was coming next. ... Years had passed, full of bloodshed and destruction. The rebels had reason to be one of the major internal problems for the empire. Their foundation was much stronger than expected. However, the emperor was aware of the inability of the third fleet to complete this alone. So under the joint operation of multiple fleets, the rebels that could stand equal with a single fleet, quickly showed signs of collapse. Their weapons were retrieved from their broken warships by the army for research and were quickly manufactured and fitted into many of the fleets in the empires armada. The rebels went from trying to defeat the opposing army, to just trying to do as much damage as possible. They flew their battleships straight into the enemy fleets and self destructed causing heavy losses to both sides. However, they still fell short in the end. With the beheading of the rebel leader and a few higher level members, the rebel alliance was all but beaten. Of course a few fled, many went into hiding, but for the time being the rebels would not cause the empire any more issues. Arel and Sile had been expecting this for a long time. When the rebels couldn''t continue providing them with their side of the trade, Arel resolutely cut off contact. The empire was aware of the lack of drones coming from the warp points, and were certain that whomever was aiding the rebels had chosen to end their cooperation. This was terrific news for the few generals that were dealing with the rebels. They can be said to have dealt with the most insane opponents they have ever faced. With matching equipment, they still had to rely on an overwhelming numerical advantage to even come close to victory, and even with that, the losses they faced were huge. The emperor read the report of the losses to the three fleets he sent. The third fleet under General Lark was hit the worst, as they had been there from the beginning. Over seventy percent of the fleet was destroyed, totalling seven million deaths, hundreds of warships destroyed. Add onto that the losses of the other two fleets and the damage to the various military bases and supply checkpoints. The emperor felt another headache surging. The war with the rebels had cost the empire too much. Chapter 15 The emperor could only suppress the frustration he felt. ''At least one issue has been dealt with'' thought the emperor. He walked out of his study and started to pace through the palace garden. The gentle wind and elegant scenery calmed his frayed nerves. The frustration that had been building up from the constant losses to his fleets finally had a chance to be resolved. While walking he heard low voices in the distance, out of curiosity he slowly approached, his face still calm. "Sally do you think daddy is willing to marry me to major general Colt?" said a sweet and immature voice. "I can''t speak for his majesty, but there are no better choice for an Omega partner than you, your highness" Sally replied. "You''re right. Now that those two omegas ran off, it should count as breaking their engagement. There isn''t any better omegas among the nobles than me. If those shameless things from the Sentar family hadn''t jumped around the old duke, when would it be that girls turn to become the fiancee of the major general? "said the aforementioned princess. The emperor listened to this farce with an indifferent expression. He knew that his daughter wasn''t very smart, but today his understanding was refreshed. After all, this daughter of his was born to one of his noble concubines, and as an Omega, her siblings felt little threat from her, so she has been favoured to the point of ignorance. The emperor pondered whether the connivance of the people around the Princess was because she wasn''t a threat, or simply because they treated her as a fun past time. He couldn''t believe that anyone born in the royal family was so naive. In a place where children killed parents, and siblings killed each other. A place where the path an emperor took to the throne was built on the bones of their closest relatives, could such an existence as this Princess survive. Did she think he couldn''t understand these little tricks that he hadn''t seen since he was a child? His headache was about to resurge out of the annoyance he felt for this daughter. Her mother was far more intelligent than most people, why did she not teach her anything? Questions kept popping up in his mind, but he regained clarity after remembering something the princess just said. ''Major General Colt?'' he wondered, ''I haven''t heard any news from him in years''. With that thought in mind he chose to ignore the act that had continued on without interruption. He could at least praise this daughter for her shamelessness. Even he would be embarrassed to continue singing this "one man show". He walked back to the study while the "ignorant princess" in the emperor''s mind wondered if her plan had succeeded. Stolen story; please report. The princess looked at Sally and said "Daddy must have heard what I said just then. I don''t think it will be long before there''s news of my engagement. Let''s go celebrate". "Congratulations, your highness. Soon you''ll marry a good alpha" Sally responded. The two omegas left the palace garden with the same scheming smiles on their faces. As if they had completed the most cunning plot. It can be said "where there is a master, there will be a servant". The thought process of these two seem to work in tandem, and they both suffer from ignorance and naivete. However the emperor had no intention to care about his daughter''s engagement, he simply contacted the major general asking him about the process of his search. Eric Colt was not in a good mood. After having to relay the fact that he had found nothing of his fiancee and her lover, even though years had passed since he had been given the task. When the emperor''s hologram disappeared he couldn''t help but smash his fist down on his desk. The assistants outside knew of their major general''s temperament and weren''t surprised to hear him lose his temper again. Eric couldn''t understand. He''d been searching for many years now, and except for the drones blatantly flying throughout the empire, those two omegas seem to have disappeared into thin air. He had searched countless planets, desolate and barren ones, uninhabited ones, inhabited ones. He went through them with a fine toothed comb. He even managed to arrest some of the most wanted criminals of the empire, but yet he couldn''t find even a hair of those two omegas. If it weren''t for the videos that showed the two of them, or the infrequent live streams, he would''ve thought they were already dead. But every video they posted seemed to be a slap in the face to him. As if they were saying ''We''re still here. What''s taking you so long?'' Year after year of finding nothing has made him gloomier. His anger has grown to such a point that he can barely suppress it any more. Whenever he stops to refuel and restock his supplies, he finds time to go to a dingy brothel and vent his rage on some Omega he chose. When he''s done those omegas are battered and broken, laying their like corpses. If it weren''t for them uttering and groaning in pain they would definitely seem like they were dead. He didn''t care, it was just an Omega. He paid more to the brothels owner to keep their mouth shut, and whatever happened to the Omega after that, wasn''t his problem. Now that the emperor had contacted him, it was clear that he had started to become impatient. Eric could only expand his searching range. He didn''t want to overlook a single place, so he became more thorough. His fleet kept roaming through the empire with a strong determination to find what they needed to, or they''d never give up. Arel and Sile didn''t realise how much trouble their disappearance had caused Arel''s nominal fiance. In fact the two of them didn''t even remember they even had fiance''s. The two of them had spent so many years together that those memories they had of their life back on Erdime had long since been buried by the passage of time. Chapter 16 While Eric was busy meandering through barren galaxies, Arel had succeeded in creating her pilot less mecha warriors. Since there would be nobody inside, the mecha itself had much more leeway in terms of design. Unlike the Terra formers, these colossal warriors took a more arachnid-esque shape. Six mechanical legs worked in tandem to keep the mecha stable and upright. A huge, solid azandium body that protected its energy core and programming chip, and four arms with no shortage of the rebels new and improved weapons. Figuring out a decent propulsion system was the hardest part. Trying to allow these mecha to balance themselves when in flight, so that they would remain accurate in combat was paramount. Now Arel and Sile are standing in front of the first batch, dwarfed by them. "Your mecha are more terrifying up close" Sile said nonchalantly. "They''re infinitely more terrifying when in combat mode" Arel quipped proudly. The two watched a few demonstrations of the spider like mecha, feeling confident with Arel''s invention. They were comforted knowing they had an offensive force if necessary. They wouldn''t have to just sit back and wait to be attacked, allowing those that attacked them to retreat whenever they wished. Sile on the other hand was relatively free. Apart from the early constructions of their defences, and the warp point, her main role was managing the crops, and completing the deliveries. Sile could be said to have been extremely relaxed, especially compared to the emperor. The emperor thought he could finally take a rest, after the whole debacle with the rebels, but it seems fate doesn''t want him to be so comfortable. The federation that borders the empire is a collective democracy that rules over as many galaxies as the empire. They have vast resources and well supplied armies. The empire and federation have never been able to get along, perhaps the differences in political beliefs, or simply the selfishness of humanity. Either way, the two sides have had altercations for millennia. However they won''t do anything detrimental to each other on the bright side. Apart from some friction on the border, and some disagreements in opinion, most actions they take are in secret. Now the federation has asked the emperor for a student exchange program. It isn''t actually the first time the two sides have tried this. Everyone is human, so at least they are better to each other than to their sworn enemy- the zerg. However, in recent years, after the new president of the federation was elected, the superficial peace between the two sides has become harder to maintain. The president of the federation is actually a female Omega. This itself has already shown the differences in thinking between the two sides. The empire has maintained a patriarchal standpoint since the time of its conception. The federation wasn''t all too different, they were definitely more lenient towards omegas, but patriarchy was still the mainstream. This novel''s true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there. All of that changed with the new president. Her name is Salessa Edrick. She was born to the federations most respected marshal. As the only child of marshal Edrick, Salessa was expected by her alpha father to inherit his mantle. He was a believer that ability trumped all, and with his devotion to Salessa''s Omega father, who had been his childhood sweetheart. It was destined that Salessa would be his heir. He didn''t treat Salessa as an Omega, instead he trained her ruthlessly. He told her that any weakness can be overcome with sheer will and tenacity. So he forced her to train out the inherent weaknesses that came with being an Omega. He showed no pity. Although he loved his daughter, his connivance would only bring her more danger in the future. This way of thinking was clearly successful. When she reached adulthood, marshal Edrick began to take her to get acquainted with his army. When facing battle he would give control to his daughter, only to intervene if her decision would cause an unacceptable defeat. Thankfully though, Salessa seemed to have inherited her father''s military capabilities. Even though she had to deal with an immense amount of discrimination, but with her father supporting her, those alphas and betas quickly succumbed to her excellence. After an extremely successful military career, with countless victorious campaigns, when the federation was finally at peace and there was little need for any military officer, she grew impatient. She knew there wasn''t many chances to fight in the foreseeable future, and she still had unfulfilled ambitions. Salessa had always known she was someone who wanted power. Even if she was never discriminated against by her father, she saw the way her gender had been treated by alphas, and she had grown dissatisfied with the status quo. Taking advantage of her and her father''s connections, she quickly began getting involved in civil politics. She worked hard to win the support of the public, promising many benefits to the people, which the other candidates at the time weren''t willing to part with. She never mentioned her idea to make all genders equal. There was no need to mention that yet. Instead she chose to promise a few benefits that didn''t harm the interests of the alphas and betas. From her well planned and methodical actions, it''s easy to see why she was able to win with such a "disadvantage". Her political acumen was no worse than her ability to command the military. So without any doubt, she easily outclassed her opponents, and won the position of president. She was also very understanding of what the term "too much attention is not always a good thing" meant. The moment she took the position, she knew that everyone would be watching her actions, waiting for her to make a single mistake, and then condemn her for it. So she was very obedient. Fulfilling her promises, which brought some resistance from other politicians, but in the end these reforms were successful, which made the public very happy to finally have a politician that kept their word. Her popularity afterwards was astonishing. Year after year she was able to maintain the dominant position in the votes, by a large margin. Chapter 17 After Salessa stabilized her position as President, she drove out those politicians that opposed her, installing her own people into their places. This is one of the advantages to having a democracy. Even though having a family involved in politics is a huge benefit, but they don''t have a choke hold on the government like the empire that borders them. Almost all of the ministers there are directly or indirectly related to the gentry, which means there is always an underlying fight for power hiding below the calm surface. Now that Salessa has gained control over the government, she has time to relax and figure out her future plans. She knows the zerg are the biggest threat. Salessa herself has faced off against these terrifying creatures. Seeing their razor sharp talons and serrated teeth, add onto that their incredibly durable carapace and they make for a very difficult enemy. The worst part about these creatures however, is not their appearance, it relies on their beliefs. The zerg follow a hive mentality, with a single queen in control. She lays the strongest zerg warriors while the lesser zerg females can only lay regular zerg. Unfortunately for humanity, the zerg have only one purpose, that is to devour. They travel from planet to planet consuming everything they come across. With the resources brought back, the female zerg continuously reproduce at a horrifying speed. They are the greatest threat to the universe, and both the federation and the empire spend astronomical amounts to equip their militaries to defend against this common enemy. The reports that Salessa has received show signs of larger movements from the border of the zerg territory. This has made Salessa start to feel uneasy, she knew the devastation that these creatures were capable of, and if possible, she was willing to temporarily put aside differences to cooperate against the far greater threat. This led Salessa to offer a tentative student exchange. If she can have friendly relations with the empire through this, then further cooperation can be arranged in the future. However this all relies on the people she will send. If the emperor is willing then the students he sends will definitely not be simple characters. Those that go to each other''s territory must be capable, intelligent and able to bear grievances. Salessa didn''t know how this would go, but she hoped the emperor could see the bigger picture. From his actions that she had heard of up to this point, she believed he was a competent and cunning man. This made Salessa feel better, after all, talking to smart people would make everything easier. Just like two chess players, they could base their decisions off of the moves of their opponent. That would then lead to a greater understanding between the two. Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings. The emperor lived up to Salessa''s expectation, and quickly accepted the federations offer for a student exchange. He ordered the ministers to point out some of the cautious, stable and intelligent young children in the aristocratic families, so as to not make the empire embarrassed when they''re sent over. The ministers were very happy to hear the news, a way to make merits so easily had not been seen for a long time. They all went home immediately and pulled out their talented children, hoping they would be the lucky ones to take on this task. Sile, who had been idle at home for a period of time heard the news of the student exchange and wondered what brought about this inexplicable cooperation. She looked at Arel, who finally had some time to rest after focusing on her mecha soldier creations, and voiced her doubts. "Honey, why do you think the empire and the federation proposed this exchange event? What are they hoping for? Peace? Trade? Marriage?" Arel didn''t know, so she could only offer a guess, "What is there, that would make the two powers willing to set aside their differences?" Sile and Arel looked at each other, and in unison they spoke confidently "The zerg". Only in this way would it make sense. Although Arel and Sile could be considered geniuses, they actually had very little knowledge of the zerg. They had never seen one in real life, but they weren''t naive in their understanding of them. They have been privy to a few documents that reported the casualties of zerg hostility. The two omegas knew that if the empire and the federation needed to cooperate, then this matter was not small. It seems that a war is on the agenda. However this time Arel and Sile weren''t in the mood to gloat. A war with the zerg is very different from a simple rebellion. They were definitely not going to choose to cause trouble at such a sensitive time. They both couldn''t afford the consequences of the empire and the federation falling to the zerg. Although they were much further away from the zerg than Erdime, but it would still be only a matter of time before they were found, and then, extinction. Facing off against humans isn''t comparable to that of a zerg force. Even if they were extremely well defended here, they still couldn''t hold back the aggressive and fearless suicide attacks that the zerg used. These weapons were mainly deterrents for humans. After all humans have fear. Whether it be the fear of death, or the fear of leaving your family, whatever the reason, it was the most useful tactic that Arel and Sile employed. With the news of the cooperation between the empire and the federation made public, the populations of both sides might not be anywhere near as sharp as the two genius omegas, but even they''re aware of the calm before the storm. They probably couldn''t guess that the zerg that had been dealt with mercilessly, just over a couple centuries ago, had now become such a threat to them both, however it didn''t help the speculations of the people who kept coming up with guesses as to what the purpose of this cooperation meant. Now everyone''s eyes are on this student exchange, and whether it will be a success. They may never know just how much both Salessa and the emperor need this exchange to work, otherwise the fate of the two powers may be coming to an end. Chapter 18 During the time the student exchange was happening, more instances of zerg activity had been discovered around the barren planets that littered the border of the zerg and the federation. Salessa increased the military presence at the border, not wanting to lose the hard earned territory to those mindless creatures. She couldn''t help but get a headache from all the trouble she had to deal with. After receiving the confirmation of the student exchange, she quickly handed it over to her subordinates. She had hoped there would be more time to get acquainted with the empire. Regardless of their respective ambitions, allying themselves to deal with the zerg is better for both sides. After all, who would want to be neighbours with a race of monsters that only know how to devour and consume? Unfortunately it seems the zerg have no intention of waiting. She can only pray that with the tentative introduction of the student exchange, the empire wouldn''t take the chance to stab them in the back, while they focused on the greater threat. She chose to send her own fleet to reinforce the border. Although it left her a little undefended against internal threats, but there were no better options. She had led her fleet against the zerg countless times, and now they didn''t have time to waste training up a new batch. However she didn''t believe her fleet was omnipotent. Recruitments began to be posted to various military universities, and planetary wide conscriptions were put in place. It was at this point that the government sent out information about the upcoming attack of the zerg. The people of the federation were no strangers to this, but based on how serious the actions were this time, they were aware of the danger this time around. Many of the veterans that had retired from the military quickly rushed to their closest recruiting stations, businesses began to fund the military with supplies and donations. The federation had begun its war time preparations. This could not be hidden from the empire. A meeting was set up to discuss the situation of the federation. Some discordant voices were willing to take the chance to attack. Most of these people were young and hadn''t seen the terrifying nature of the zerg, but those older ministers were far more experienced in their devastation. They quickly suppressed those hot-headed youngsters. They asked the emperor. "Your majesty, what level of cooperation do you think is sufficient?" asked one of the oldest ministers, his face showing his seriousness. The emperor thought about it. He wasn''t unaware of the federations ambitions. If he aided them militarily, they might take the chance to bury those fleets that are helpless in foreign territory. That was something he could not accept, but if he was asked to turn a blind eye, he also couldn''t do that. Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator. The federation acted as a blockade between the empire and the zerg. If it fell, they would have to take on the full force of an overwhelming enemy. So he thought supplying them materially was plausible. Be it with weapons or ships. Although this can be said to be valuable technology which can give the federation a level playing field, but the war will cause great damage to the federation. It won''t be too late to attack them, when they win. "I''m willing to send warships and mecha to aide the federation", the emperor said calmly. The older ministers accepted the arrangement, it was what they were expecting. The younger ministers weren''t happy with the arrangement, but they dared not speak out in front of their seniors. So very quickly, the support equipment was sent to the federation. When Salessa received it, she knew that this was the greatest advantage the empire was willing to give. She knew that they would never allow their military to aide them, so she was content with the support the empire gave. Very quickly after that, the first wave of zerg appeared. Ravenous creatures, just like before, they used no tactics. They relied solely on their overwhelming numerical advantage and physical prowess. With the equipment sent by the empire, the zerg were barely able to reach a single warship. However these zerg were the ones sent to test. The elite zerg were far more horrifying, and until they saw them, they knew there would be no end to this. However wave after wave of these regular zerg appeared. Although the numbers were constantly increasing, they never saw even a shadow of the elite zerg. A sense of unease began to spread through the federation. "Are the zerg planning a bigger move?" they thought. ... "Your majesty, your majesty! It''s not good, our border fleet has been destroyed" a general had sent an emergency message to the palace. When the emperor watched the message, he saw the destruction around the general as he was relaying information from his mecha, before a monstrous figure appeared behind him, tearing him to pieces in a flash. The connection hadn''t ended, so the emperor was forced to watch one of his strongest armies annihilated in front of his eyes. The emperor didn''t have time to waste, he called an emergency meeting. All military officials were called upon, mass conscription were put in place. Supplies were focused completely on defending against the elite zerg that had managed to slip around both the federation and the empire, to attack from the furthest point. He evacuated every planet he could that was close to the border, choosing to set them up outposts instead. The amount of work it took was astronomical, which alerted the federation that was busy dealing with the growing number of regular zerg. The people of the federation were shocked by the news. Now the empire is in a state of panic when losing a considerable number of their fighting force, but the emperor and those older ministers have seen worse times, so they quickly managed to calm the people, following the procedures for such an event. The problem however, was that the federation seemed to be handling their side with ease, but only the upper levels knew that they were struggling against the obscene numbers. Salessa was forced to send in more reinforcements, as well as an unbroken train of supplies. The empire were able to hand over equipment to them, but they didn''t know if it would be possible to return the favour at this point. Chapter 19 The emperor pulled the forces closer to the federation all to the border. He thought they could just watch the show, and provide some material help so that the federation didn''t fall, now that his ''backyard is on fire'' , he really wants to slap himself. The elite zerg were like a plague, much stronger than the zerg he faced when he was a young man. Where ever they went, they left only destruction in their wake. Now it was time for him to start worrying. Although the empire''s armada was large, but it being spread too far, has allowed the zerg warriors to continue pushing further into the empire''s territory. He had to send the conscripts to the front line, in the hopes that they could buy time for the rest of his veteran fleets to arrive. After all, moving an entire fleet isn''t as simple as just saying it. All battleships have to be fully prepared, soldiers need to be supplied, and formations need to be established. Given the time necessary for the other fleets to arrive, the emperor doesn''t know if those conscripts can hold on. If they don''t, it will become a huge issue to the foundation of the empire. Now he regrets his decision to attack the rebels. Those fleets were originally stationed in that area, but after the rebels were finally defeated, he called them back to the capital to recuperate, leaving such an opportune gap for the zerg to attack. Major General, Eric Colt has been on the verge of losing his temper. He originally had little patience, wanting to find his runaway fiancee, and her lover. He combed through solar system after solar system for years. Trying the most barren and inhospitable areas. He finally found a clue, a strange energy fluctuation coming from a solar system bordered by a natural asteroid field. He didn''t know if it was them, but there was at least something strange going on here. He had sent a request to the government to check what was there, and sure enough, someone had bought two planets there a few years before the two disappeared. He had heard from the emperor that the two might have created some defences, although he didn''t think omegas could create anything detrimental to him, but he knew his reckless nature, so when it came to his decisions as a major general, he was more cautious. He was planning to destroy the asteroid field from a distance, to give a clear view of what was going on inside. That was until he receive an urgent summons to the border. Knowing that the zerg had broken through, surprised him. He knew that his duty was to protect the empire, but he felt unwilling, all the years have been spent looking for those two omegas. Now he has come right to their door, and he has to leave without knocking? He really did feel unreconciled. If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. Arel and Sile knew they had been found, they had sensory equipment monitoring the outside of the solar system. They were shocked that they were found so quickly. It seems they had been too high profile. However they had heard the news of the zerg attack on the empire. Knowing that the people over there were struggling to maintain their position, they wanted to send their mecha warriors over. After all, they may not care about the empire, but if the zerg win, they will be in much more danger than with some greedy humans. However if they''re about to be attacked, they''re definitely not willing to send them away. What if the fleet that found them is stronger than they expected? So they were watching closely to the actions of the battleships outside the asteroid field. Eric was sitting on the main bridge of the battleship, his thoughts swirling through his mind, a mile a minute. He was having trouble letting go, even though he knew he could come back after the war with the zerg was settled. After a painful process of deliberation, his responsibility still won over his personal affairs. He decisively ordered the ships to turn around and head for the nearest warp point. Unlike the other fleets, his had been in combat readiness for years, and he could quickly join the battle. Watching the battleships leave, the two omegas were sure that the problem of the border was much more serious than what was reported by the government. They understood that this was a common tactic used by the government to calm the panic of the public. Sile looked towards Arel "Should we still send out the mecha warriors?" "Yes. Even if the zerg are dealt with, I don''t think the federation will let this opportunity to take over some of the empire''s territory, go", Arel theorised. Sile thought that the solar system they were in was quite close to the border between the federation and the empire, and knew what Arel said was the truth. The president of the federation is an Omega, she knows the hardship of their gender better than anyone. Perhaps they could make an agreement with her, in exchange for safety. ... The conscripted soldiers at the border felt as if they had entered a horrible nightmare. Day after day they were forced to fight against horrific creatures that were not only terrifyingly powerful, but also seemed to never need to stop. They were sent here in the millions, but were clearly ill equipped for the battle they faced. However they had no choice. If they deserted, their families would face unbearable shame for their cowardice, and where was it so easy to desert on a militarised planet? They could only watch helplessly as thousands of people just like them were massacred at the hands of those vile creatures. At least that was the case, until battleships appeared overhead. The sounds of advanced weaponry spread across the planet. The conscripts on the surface could see the battle taking place in space, although they wanted to cheer, but they could see that the fleet that had just arrived was outmatched by the large number of elite zerg. The flame of hope they had just lit, was extinguished almost immediately. Chapter 20 The battle seemed to be nothing more than a large grinder. Both sides continued to push into each other, causing as much havoc as possible before they were killed. The elite zerg warriors still proved to hold the advantage. Eric watched angrily as his battleships were slowly torn apart by the disastrous creatures. He didn''t expect there to be such a monstrous force here. He could only grit his teeth and continue in this stalemate, watching helplessly as both sides continued to incur losses. At least that''s what he thought would happen, until one of his attendants reported energy signatures from behind them. He quickly asked "Are they friendly, or not?" This could be reinforcements that had just come through the warp point, or it could be another group of zerg warriors that circled around and wanted to attack them from both sides. "Neither" the attendant said puzzled. "What do you mean, neither?" Eric asked in confusion. "The energy signatures don''t match the output from the empire''s battleships, nor does it show any signs of life. So it is not a fleet from the empire, and it isn''t part of the zerg" the attendant explained. Eric could only watch helplessly as whatever was approaching, grew closer. In the distance he saw that the shapes seemed to have arms and legs, and his heart dropped. "Could it be a new species of zerg that''s able to cover up their own life signs?" he thought absent-mindedly. But as the force became clearer, he didn''t know how to express anything but shock. These were clearly designed like mecha. The faces had no discernible features, weapons and armour proved that they were built by humans at least. However he had never heard from his family that the empire had created such a force, and the mecha had no markings which made him a little wary. Fortunately for Eric, it seemed this group paid no attention to his side, they had already locked onto to the zerg warriors that were in the midst of combat. The zerg never used formations, which they always made up for by sheer number, but this time it seems they were destined to be defeated by this strategy. The colossal mechas stood much taller than even the zerg that were capable of destroying battleships. The arms worked in tandem as an array of advanced laser cannons were fired without restraint. Hundreds of the same imposing mechas firing off at once is truly a sight to behold. A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. The soldiers on the planets and the battleships watched in awe as these terrifying creatures were blasted apart by these cannons. However there is a limit to how much ammunition Arel and Sile could provide the mechas on such a short term decision. All the space they had was used to store energy crystals, so as to keep them operating for as long as possible. The elite zerg seemed to have understood that these "great enemies" were out of ammunition, so they relentlessly charged towards the things that made them feel the greatest threat. The colossal mechas began to space themselves out, allowing a considerable distance between each, and their arms lined with cannons, soon switched into long sharpened azandium blades. This was the ultimate goal of Arel building them, the arms could only show their true potential in melee combat. At the beginning, the arms simply chopped and slashed, gathering speed bit by bit, until enough time had passed, and the arms on each side began to latch themselves together, causing the blades to spin as quickly as a propeller. The colossal mechas then began to reduce the space between each other, slowly pushing forward in a steady formation. The propeller like blades tore through the armoured carapaces of the elite zerg, as if they were made of mud. Blood and guts stained the cold, black mechas, but there was never a pause in their actions. This group of elite zerg finally came to its end, under the terrifying operation of the colossal mechas. When they scanned the area and found no more signs of zerg life, they shut down their combat mode and just as uniformly as they had arrived, they left back in the same direction. Arel and Sile saw that the colossal mechas had completed their task, and happily ordered them to return. The two of them knew that the zerg that were killed could only be said to be a decent portion of all the ones that came, but they had no intention of letting their mechas do all the work. If they stepped in and eradicated all of the zerg, than the empire would still hold the advantage over the federation, which is not what they wanted to see. Although the two sides wouldn''t fight for a while, but when the aftermath was settled, the empire would still hold the initiative, and before that even happened, the empire would almost definitely focus most of their immediate attention on the two of them, not only for the actions they''ve done, but also because Arel and Sile have shown far too many benefits. The livable planet, the azandium mine, and now these indomitable self operating mechas. They can''t allow the empire to come out of this in one piece. So the two of them ruthlessly chose to only intervene when they were certain the empire would not be able to win otherwise. They could also send the mechas out to aid the federation, but they have yet to contact Salessa, and the only reason they''re willing to give it a try, is because she like them, is an Omega. But they won''t just blindly trust her because she is the same gender. They are fully aware of the benefits they can bring the federation, and they know very well that people are more grateful for the coal given in the winter, rather than the icing on the cake. When the federation is at its most desperate, is the perfect chance to negotiate. They''ll definitely not come out of their side of the battle unscathed either. So when they fight the empire, having the support of their "force" would be incredibly important. So for now, Arel and Sile chose to simply bide their time. Chapter 21 Arel and Sile''s prediction was quite accurate. The empire had to face off against the elite zerg, which may have been smaller in number, but were far more terrifying in combat ability, and raw strength. The fleets they sent, hadn''t had time to be refitted with the advanced weaponry they took from the rebels, and only the main battleships were built with azandium, leaving most of the fleet with subpar offensive and defensive capabilities. It is no wonder the zerg could break through their defences so easily. Fortunately, they still had the ability to halt the zergs advance. Although the losses they suffered were catastrophic, as long as the empire doesn''t fall, they can rebuild. What made them worried, was the unknown force that defended against the zerg vanguard. Based on the reports from the soldiers and conscripts. Titan-like mechas appeared from the warp point, and wiped out the entire zerg force, when the soldiers were on the verge of losing the newly formed border. But as soon as the zerg were killed, these mecha disappeared through the warp point, and haven''t been seen since. Knowing that there was such a powerful force somewhere in the empire made the ministers of the court a little antsy. The emperor who had guessed the truth was not worried where the force was, but what they wanted to do with it. He knew the two omegas were far thinkers. They managed to kill two birds with one stone when aiding the rebels. First it would cause enough chaos, so as to halt the progress of looking for them, and secondly they could trade equipment with each other, so as to build the mechas that had just been seen. Again, the emperor couldn''t help but admire those two. With just their own twk brains, they managed to cause havoc in the empire. He didn''t think they were going to stop. In fact he guessed the only intervened because they were aware that at least having the empire survive was more important than letting the zerg take over. But they weren''t saints. As long as the empire doesn''t lose, they won''t come to the rescue, and even if he wanted to let them intervene, he couldn''t take the chance that they would completely cripple the empires foundation before stepping in. Now the emperor was sitting in his study, wondering what their end goal was. What would the two of them hope for in the end? ... While the emperor was pondering the motives of the two omegas. The women in question were currently standing on their mining planet in a daze. "Gone?" Sile asked. Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. "Yeah" Arel replied. The two of them looked at each other with the same dazed faces, before finally laughing at each other. After finally calming down, Sile spoke first. "It isn''t very surprising. There has been so many projects that needed azandium. It''s only natural that it would run out eventually". "You''re right. The defence array alone probably took a quarter of it. Let alone the mechas, the drones and what was traded to the rebels", Arel agreed. "Well should we look for a new source? Although we''ve scanned the planets around here, maybe there''s another one a little further away?" Sile asked, although she didn''t much believe they could find another planet. Otherwise their luck would be godly. "I don''t think it''s necessary. We have what we needed. It''s just a shame that I couldn''t continue to expand my mecha army" Arel said, her lips showing a slight pouting through her helmet. Sile couldn''t help but want to laugh again. Turning around she saw the legion of colossal mechas behind the two of them. Their number had increased twofold in the time that the empire had been at war with the zerg. If anyone else heard what Arel just said, they''d probably want to scream at her. The power of this group of mechas is comparable to the entire military of the empire or the federation, and she doesn''t feel it''s enough? In fact Arel and Sile could live in safety and contentment with everything they have now. They truly do have an impenetrable defence. But the two of them have lived in this solar system for decades. Sometimes they get bored. Although they are still happy with their choice to come here. They sometimes want to go out to see other places, like they did all those years ago, when they were in university. Travelling to and from different beautiful and dangerous places. Testing wits and courage in the most unlikely of planets. Hunting wild monsters, or playing around in the black market. The two of them have been watching the same scenery for a long time, and their human curiosity is driving them to want to explore new places. They have built a place incomparable to anything humans have ever seen. They have made enemies with the empire, and have come out on top every single time. They have more money than they could spend in a hundred lifetimes, and they''ve done it all within a century. One tenth of their lives haven''t even passed, and they have achieved feats others could only dream of. Now the two of them are finding themselves a little unsatisfied with their hermit lifestyle. They want to travel to other places, but their location has already been found. Although they can leave in disguise, and wander around, they can''t leave for too long. With no one here to manage everything, they can''t be at ease to just leave their life''s work. What if someone managed to break through while they were away. Everything they''ve done will be stolen. Although it''s highly unlikely there is anyone who has that ability, but what if? Where will they go to cry at that time? So although the two of them want to get on their spacecraft and fly away to visit different planets, they are not willing to do so, until they''re completely sure of the safety of their property. Wait until the federation has taken over control over this area and they can make a deal with them to share some benefits. If they become greedy, than they''ll simply destroy everything. After all, it''s their hard work, what happens to it, is their choice. Chapter 22 On the side of the federation, Salessa seemed to understand the plan of the zerg queen. Sending the majority of the regular zerg towards the federation, whilst attacking the empire with the elite warriors. The empire was unprepared and would suffer catastrophic losses. This would cripple the empire, and the federation would have to split their forces to help protect the empire, so as not to be attacked from both sides. Although it was a basic tactic, it showed that the zerg queen''s intelligence was evolving. This wasn''t a good thing for humanity. At first she was preparing which forces could be divided and sent to the empire to aid their defence, but she received reports from some of the students that had gone with the exchange, that a powerful force intervened in one of the battlefields, annihilating the group of elite zerg, without losing a single one of their own. However the student also said that the group probably didn''t belong to the emperor, nor any aristocratic family, and after that battle, disappeared without a trace. During the subsequent battles, the force had never shown themselves again, which could prove that they didn''t belong to the court. This news made Salessa a little worried. She didn''t expect the empire to have such a strong hidden group, but after pondering, she wondered if it was a private group. Seeing as they only showed up for that one battle, when calculating she realised that if the battle was lost at that point, the empire would have no chance to survive the attack, but in the battles afterwards, the empire could still remain. She guessed that the bottom line of this group was tk maintain the survival of the empire, but they didn''t care how badly the empire''s foundation was damaged. This revelation excited her very much, because it proves that the group doesn''t want to see the court in power, but she wasn''t able to guess their bottom line. "Did they want to be in power themselves?" she wondered. Her thoughts on this matter had to be shelved though. Knowing that she didn''t need to send reinforcements to the empire made her more relaxed. So instead of choosing to stabilise the border, she decided to incorporate more aggressive tactics, which seemed to surprise the zerg queen Far away in the heartland of the zerg territory. The zerg queen was far larger than all the zerg that humanity had ever seen. Her body was as large as half a planet. All around her were zergs of different sizes, maintaining a steady order, following the same process as they did everyday. The zerg queen could see what was happening on both the battlefronts at the same time. She watched the losses of her own offspring in the empire with indifferent eyes, however a gleem of curiosity filled her countless beady eyes. She recounted the memory of the human machinations that managed to slaughter her children with ease. She had never seen such fierce human inventions, but she knew that these things must be met with caution. Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions. She had already concluded that this attack would fail in the end. Although it caused heavy losses to her population, but the humans would not come out unscathed. So she chose to abandon the rest of those soldiers, allowing them to drag as many of the humans to death with them. This was under the belief that the humans didn''t dare to attack her territory, otherwise she might choose to cut the losses, and retreat all the living zerg still fighting. However humans for centuries have chosen simply to defend, and they have never taken the initiative to attack her home world. Both the federation and empire saw that the zerg no longer received reinforcements, and they knew the zerg queen had chosen to abandon the forces still attacking them. This discovery greatly boosted the morale of both sides, and the previous stalemate became a unilateral massacre on the side of the zergs. When the final zerg was killed, the cheers could be heard over every communication channel. The soldiers and civilians on both sides wept with joy, knowing that they had survived the terrifying battle. But mixed with joy was the realisation of the damage and loss that occurred during the battle. Countless planets had collapsed from the constant attacks. Tens of millions of humans from both the empire and the federation had fallen in battle. The alphas that were forced to stand on the front line bore the brunt of the losses, and the already rare gender became even more scarce. However those alphas were mostly regular people, which caused little implications to the aristocratic families. So amongst the cheers of victory, the sadness of what was lost was also prevalent. Many people lost not only their family, but also their home. The governments on both sides were working at maximum capacity. People needed to be rehoused, the damaged fleets needed repairs and recruitment. The border fleet that was completely destroyed needed another to take its place. The same process was happening in the federation, but on a smaller scale. The federation has richer resources than the empire, and a greater number, so the losses were more manageable. Salessa quickly went to work, sending orders to the politicians under her. The process was much smoother, since they had become accustomed to this. As after every battle with the zerg, they would have to complete it. So while the empire was trying their best to stabilise, so that they could begin their rehabilitation. The federation was already in full swing. New planets further into the federation already had new housing built, many civilians had already chosen to move away from the border, but some just cared too much about their original planets, and refused to leave; which is where majority of the civilian losses came from. The federation also took the opportunity to study the equipment that the empire sent. At the time they were worried when the elite zerg were going to attack, and didn''t have the time to waste researching, but now that the empire has been so severely damaged, they would be morons if they didn''t take advantage to increase their own technology. Chapter 23 Arel and Sile knew the end of the war had come. The news was posted in every conspicuous place on Spacewave. The government always wanted to flaunt good news and hide any negative news. So nowhere in the report did it mention the number of casualties or the cost of the war. "How long do you think we''ll have before the empire comes to deal with us?" Sile asked listlessly. "Probably a year, maybe two? The damage they''ve suffered this time is too high" Arel responded dotingly. "Do you think the federation will attack before then? Will we even need to cooperate?" Sile continued. Arel wondered for a while before answering, "The federation will probably wait until they have improved their armaments before launching an attack on the empire. Even if they can win now, they still have to take into account the zerg". The two of them were a little worried. If the federation didn''t attack before the empire had settled, they would have to deal with the probing attacks. ... Arel and Sile''s worries were not groundless. Two years after the battle with the zerg ended, they finally encountered a small force. When the warships entered the galaxy, they had already become aware of it. They watched coldly as the ten warships stayed outside of the asteroid field. The warships didn''t make them wait long, and cannons were fired, directly hitting many of the asteroids. The shots continued for a long time, creating more and more debris, however this debris was far less dangerous than the original asteroid field. Sile looked at Arel and asked. "When are you going to start?" Arel smiled and connected to the defences in the solar system. On a small moon circling the planet closest to the asteroid field, a light appeared, slowly increasing in size. The warships outside couldn''t see through the debris, but if they could they would know that the weapon was charging up. However none of the captains of those warships had foresight. As for hindsight? They would never have that opportunity. When the weapon reached its full charge, it sent out multiple beams, locked onto the invading warships, directly obliterating the debris in the asteroid field, by the time the warships had seen these beams; they had already arrived in front of them. The beams were like a hot knife through butter, directly cutting the ships in half. The lucky people would have been hit by that beam, a searing instant death. Much better than those who were forced to suffocate in the vacuum of space. This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings. It wasn''t long before those broken ships slowly drifted into the asteroid field, becoming a new barrier to protect the solar system inside. The moment the ships were destroyed, the government knew. Seeing their destruction made many of the ministers present a little dumbfounded. They had been told by the emperor that the two omegas had probably weaponized the entire area, but many of the ministers refused to believe it. All in all, it was because they still ahd prejudice against omegas. This was a harsh slap in the face. Not only was the asteroid field not cleared out, but now they added the danger of a ship being destroyed before they could even see what was inside. "If normal warships are no match for their weapons, then send in a battleship. The armour is azandium, and should easily be able to withstand that beam attack" spoke one of the commanders. The rest agreed with him, so the emperor had no choice but to send in a more advanced fleet. He didn''t believe a single battleship could pose a problem for the two. In the end he decided to send in five battleships. With advanced weaponry from the rebels, and azandium armour, they should be on a level playing field. When Arel and Sile saw the battleships, they still weren''t worried. Although the defences they placed at the entrance of the asteroid field couldn''t damage the battleship, but the lasers were built for this very purpose. So when the a battleships were busy dealing with the asteroid field, Arel activated the more advanced weapons built onto the planets closer to them. Azandium has strong defence. It can be said to be almost impenetrable. It''s melting heat is so high that only a continuous laser could melt it, which is exactly the omegas'' plan. This time the weapon didn''t need to charge. Multiple lasers fired from different planets. Rendering the asteroids useless. The lasers hit the battleships in the core areas. Each ships had to deal with multiple beams. Thanks to the azandium they didn''t get cut in half instantly, but the sizzling of the metal could be heard by the captains of each ship. They tried to use evasive maneuvers, but the beam would just lock onto another important spot when their original spot was out of range. The captains of the battleships fired haphazardly into the asteroid field. Many of their shots managed to bypass the asteroid field and hit some of the planets and moons nearby. Arel and Sile didn''t care if those planets were damaged. They were there for that very purpose. To deflect the damage to the main areas. The battleships were soon overwhelmed by the constant laser attacks, and soon explosions started aboard the ships. The empires battleship can be said to be extremely difficult to attack from the outside, but if it explodes from the inside, well, only the azandium plating survived the blow. Now the entire room was silent. Five battleships destroyed just like that. The worst part is that they saw drones passing through the asteroid field, checking for any survivors. When they were certain it was clear, the drones started to drag the battleships inside. Even the emperor was surprised by this blatant display. He felt a headache coming. At this point it was exceptionally clear that it would take a massive cost to fight their way into that solar system, and he hasn''t forgotten that those mecha haven''t shown up yet. If they can annihilate the elite zerg that easily, then what could they do to the army? Chapter 24 Just as they were wondering if the attack should continue, an urgent message came in. The ministers instantly became serious, while the emperor connected the call. Shown on the holographic figure was the solemn face of General Lark, who had taken up the position as the defending General, on the border of the empire and the federation. "What is the problem, General?" the emperor asked. General Lark''s eyes were focused on the battle outside of the commanding battleship, but he still answered seriously, "Your majesty, the federation has attacked. I don''t think I can stop them". The people in the room could see the shaking of the battleship, as well as the distant sounds of the ship being damaged. "How have you been brought to this point so quickly" one of the ministers asked. General Lark smile was self-deprecating. He didn''t answer, he just opened up the camera''s rearview. What came into sight was a large federation armada, as well as the elusive colossal mecha. When they saw the huge force. They couldn''t make a sound. General Lark asked, "Your majesty, reinforcements are needed. This minister won''t be able to hold on before they g..." At that moment, everyone in the room saw an arm swipe through the deck of the battleship. The camera dutifully recorded the process of the commanding officers suffocating in the vacuum of space. Their faces warped and painful. When the call finally ended, the room was left in complete silence. Most of the ministers had never seen battle and of course they hadn''t witnessed the atrocities that come with it. It wasn''t until one of the ministers voiced out his worries, "Those mecha belong to the omegas behind that asteroid field, don''t they?" Then everyone seemed to have remembered. They now knew that the two of them had defected to the federation. The emperor felt that his doubts had finally been answered. He knew the two of them wouldn''t create those monstrosities for nothing, but now he finally understands the reason. He sent out calls to all generals. The room was soon filled with holograms of the highest ranking military commanders in the empire, excluding the three generals of the other borders. Unless the empire was on the verge of annihilation, he would never move the fleets on the borders. The male and female alphas waited calmly for the emperor''s orders. This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings. "The federation has attacked the border and defeated the fleet stationed there. This is now a national emergency. All fleets under your command will enter combat readiness and rush to intercept their forces. Beware the strength of the federation this time, is terrifying" the emperor ordered seriously. The generals all responded and began moving the fleets under them. However the damage caused by the zerg attack has left an indelible mark on the empires armada. Even after a few years, only a small amount has been recuperated, so now the emperor is hoping this mish mash can effectively defend against the federation. The emperor also called again, this time he contacted Duke Colt. A stout and dignified male alpha appeared in the room. The other ministers did not dare to speak in front of this highly respected military officer. "Good afternoon, your majesty" the Duke greeted respectfully. "Good afternoon, Duke Colt. I apologise for interrupting your retirement, but there is an important mission, and I require your expertise", the emperor said, his tone also carrying respect. Duke Colt is the most decorated military officer the empire has. He has fought both the federation and the zerg in his lifetime and come out victorious in most of his battles. He also has a private fleet under his command, which is said to be full of the veterans that he took when he was still fighting as a general. The emperor doesn''t know how much combat effectiveness the fleet still has, after being at peace for centuries. But he knows that the fleet is equipped with the most advanced armour and weapons, and the soldiers continue to train everyday. So even if they are all full of grey and white hair, these soldiers are still highly active. Duke Colt was surprised when hearing what the emperor said, he knew that he wouldn''t be contacted if there wasn''t something that couldn''t be dealt with normally. He asked "What is the problem your majesty, the minister will do his best to solve it". The emperor explained the ins and outs of the matter, and Duke Colt came to understand the situation. "That is a little interesting. My little brats ex fiancee and her lover have reached this level. The two omegas are really talented. What a shame". Duke Colt didn''t hold any prejudice for Arel or Sile. He had lived a very long time. His years were numbered and at the end of his life, he lost the impetuosity that comes with youth. He only felt that it was a loss, that such intelligent omegas weren''t a part of his family. If they were he wouldn''t have to worry about the future. He also wasn''t someone who underestimated his opponents. Although there were only two of them, but he heard they are genius inventors, and their creations have caused havoc among the empire. He quickly agreed to taking over the matter and ended the call. He ordered his assistant to ready the fleet, before contacting his grandson. When Eric answered, he heard his grandfather say, "Come here. His majesty has ordered me to deal with your ex fiancee and her lover". Eric felt a rush of ecstasy. If his grandfather was sent out, it must be a certain victory. He had hated those two omegas for so long, and finally he could get his revenge. He quickly responded "Yes, grandfather", and rushed back to the Colt''s estate. Arel and Sile saw the battle that had just taken place through the eyes of their mecha. The victory came too quickly, and they knew the emperor could guess their involvement. They weren''t too worried, they stood on their mining planet. Behind Arel and Sile, stood rows of silent, colossal figures. The empire would be surprised to see the number. Every last bit of azandium went into increasing their number, so what they sent off to assist the federation was only a third of their true force. The battle is to come, and the two omegas cannot wait to see it. Chapter 25 Once again, only a few years after the zerg devastation, the empire incurred another battle. The fleets that were available were sent towards the federation border. However the advancement of the federations armament meant there was no longer a technological advantage on the empires side. Now the federation has not only, a larger army, but also the assistance of Arel and Sile. The two of them managed to get into contact with Salessa, stating their intentions. Salessa was vigilant at first. She had heard of Arel and Sile. Their fruit and vegetables were well known. Many of the upper circle in the federation wanted to get their hands on some things, but the empire had a strict defense on the border, so they could only swallow their envy. Arel and Sile offered a deal. They said that they had a powerful force that could rival a fleet. A legion of self piloting mecha, with the latest technological advancements. When Salessa laid eyes on the titans that towered over the delicate Omega in the video, she was shocked. She wondered if this was real, but they were very serious in their dealings, not at all suffering from nervousness or anxiety. Just calm and gentle. Salessa felt that there was no loss in accepting this deal. She was already going to attack the empire, and in return they''d not only have reinforcements, but they would be the ones who were prioritised for the crops they grew. So when Salessa watched as her armada attacked the empires border, she saw that as soon as the battle commenced, a group of mecha attacked the empires ships from behind. There was no hesitation. The mecha were ruthless, they started their attacks the moment the empires battleships were in sight. Their destructive ability was greater than Salessa expected. In the blink of an eye, the two sides managed to almost annihilate the border army. She watched as small drones came to the mecha, and resupplied them with energy and ammunition. The federation General that Salessa sent to attack was informed that they would have reinforcements on the empires side, but he had to admit, being in close proximity to these terrifying titans made him really uncomfortable. He saw that the mecha could take the attacks of the enemy fleet like it was nothing. The Azandium armour on their bodies seemed to be very thick, thicker than the outer layer of their battleships, which was proven by the lack of damage to the mecha. If those mecha chose to attack them, they would probably fare no better than the empire. Salessa didn''t have much worry. She knew that the empire was targeting the two omegas, so she was fairly confident that the two of them needed the federation, as much as the federation needed them. They weren''t completely necessary to each other, but the benefits of cooperation were great enough, that the two sides had no need to endanger the deal made between them. It didn''t take long for the federation to push further into the empire, slowly amassing territory. The fleets that tried to defend seemed to be useless. One after another were torn apart. The remains of the tragic battle floated in the vicinity, outlining the devastation that had occurred earlier. The emperor and the ministers were sitting in silence, they could only watch helplessly as their forces were destroyed in front of their eyes. With the cooperation of the two superior forces, no amount of ingenuity seemed to be useful, in front of absolute strength. Duke Colt received the report to attack the two omegas urgently. Although he had been retired for a while, he still had connections. They informed him of the severe losses the empire had taken, due to the alliance between the federation and the two omegas. Duke Colt had a new found understanding of his targets. He was a cautious general in his prime, and even now that hasn''t changed. His fleet entered the area of the solar system. Eric had been waiting there for his grandfather, keeping a large distance from the asteroid field. Although he wanted the demise of the omegas more than anyone, but over the years he understood that they were unlike any opponent he had ever faced before. Duke Colt had been informed of the peculiar defences that the solar system had, and seeing the asteroid field that barricaded the solar system, he marvelled at the naturally formed border. He ordered the fleet to attack the asteroid field from the greatest distance that they could muster, and enter a defensive formation. He wasn''t going to let his soldiers suffer from the incompetence of those previous captains. Arel and Sile watched as the attacks rained down upon their asteroid field. The distance the fleet stayed at was still in range of the weapons, but the defensive formation really showed the careful thinking of the general in charge. They didn''t know which veteran was sent out this time, but it seemed they were in for a difficult time. Arel and Sile chose to attack the fleet haphazardly. They weren''t intending to destroy anything, but just trying to lower the vigilance of the general. Time passed on, and the attacks came one after another. The asteroid field that had stood as a barrier between the omegas and the outside world for decades had been broken under the constant fire of Duke Colts fleet. The people of the empire finally saw the inside of this most secret place. What they saw was a few planets, one was bright and filled with blues and greens. They knew this was the main planet they were looking for. Surrounding that planet was a small star in the distance, and a warp point. Duke Colt had been informed of this before he came, but he still admired the two omegas ability to create these things privately. However as he got closer he saw countless beams appearing on the planets, and he quickly ordered the fleet into its highest defensive state. Chapter 26 The fleet was hit from numerous positions. The beams worked tirelessly to incinerate everything in its path. Just as Duke Colt was about to relay his orders, volleys of shots appeared, directly attacking the helpless fleet. Duke Colt had fought in many battles, so although his soldiers were under heavy fire, they didn''t panic; simply awaiting his commands. "Target the positions of the continuous beams, and make sure they''re not capable of making any more trouble". With a direction to go, the ships divided the targets, very tacitly. Focused shots were fired towards the stationary weapons, and in just a flash, those pesky annoyances had finally been dealt with, or so they thought. Just as they were about to proceed towards the planet where the two omegas were, another batch of beams fired from different directions. Duke Colt pursed his lips, his expression showing a hint of solemnity. It looked as if he had gotten rid of the first batch of weapons easily, but the beam cannons weren''t for child''s play. His ships had suffered some noticeable damage under the barrage, and these separate beams continued to focus on the damaged parts. He knew the two omegas were watching the battle closely, and the method couldn''t continue on this way. Thinking of countermeasures, he decided to "capture the king" first. "Eric, take your ships and capture those two. Be careful though, if the outer defenses are this numerous, the inner ones won''t be lacking". Eric agreed to his grandfathers request, in fact he had been hoping for it. He quickly ordered his ships into formation and split from the main group, heading towards the home of Arel and Sile. Duke Colt continued to destroy the beam cannons, but seemed to be in a deadlock with the surprising amount that kept appearing. He wanted to just destroy the planets, but unfortunately he didn''t have the necessary ships for it, so he could only continue with his method aggrieved. Eric wasn''t as worried as his grandfather. He had always kept his memories of Arel and Sile when they met at the various banquets. The two were inseparable, both demure and gentle. How could he possibly admit that those omegas had the ability to harm him. He would lose all his dignity as an alpha. So under his own brainwashing he continued to approach his target. But just as he was about to stop his ships, he noticed the drones floating around the planet. He had seen these drones before, they were used to deliver the fruits and vegetables that Arel and Sile were famous for. Seeing this, he thought the two of them must have not expected him to get here so quickly, which forced them to use these weapon less drones. If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. As he was about to continue towards the planet, he felt a chill run up his spine. He had always trusted his instincts, and this time they were telling him that he was in grave danger. He noticed movement outside, looking towards the area in confusion, but all he saw were a few of the drones beginning to link together. At the start he wondered what they were trying to do, but as time went on he understood what was happening to the drones. He quickly fired shots into some of the places where the drones were linked. He noticed that the energy was dispersed without leaving any trace. This result made his blood run cold. He switched up methods and tried to break the connection with the unlinked drones. He thought his idea was very plausible, but he watched in frustration as new drones took their place. Even with his constant suppression, the Web of drones still succeeded. The drones didn''t wait for Eric and his small group to regain themselves, directly firing upon them, while they were dazed. The constant shots used the energy of the attacks it had absorbed, which unfortunately was not many. Eric saw through this fatal flaw and decided to act more aggressively, wanting to directly by pass the drones. But it seems luck was not on his side today. Out of nowhere a colossal mecha appeared at the rear and ripped into one of the ships. Eric''s eyes were bulging at the sight, he had heard from his grandfather that the mechas were sent to aid the federation at the border, but now he sees one cleaving into his subordinates ship. The walking fortress was so powerful that it could ignore the defenses of Eric''s ships, which left him very embarrassed. He ordered the remaining ships to focus on this unwelcome visitor. Under the joint attacks of the entire group, the mecha could still attack without fear. Just as they had put their attention on the troublesome colossal mecha, he saw more mechas flying towards him. This reversal was quick and brutal. The mechas didn''t pause for a moment, dragging the few pitiful ships to death. Eric could only stare in horror and unwillingness, as his ideas of revenge, and selfishness unravelled in front of his eyes. The ships were quickly torn apart. Duke Colt could see the destruction of his grandsons group, and finally a burst of anger erupted from him. His attacks on the planets became more ruthless, also focusing on the situation ahead of him. He had already guessed that the information was pointless. The mechas in front of him was not the same group as the report said were siding with the federation. These were backups that dealt a decisive blow, not only to human life, but also towards the morale of his fleet. He tried his best to fight off the increasing amount of colossal mechas that were secretly stationed on the planet next to Arel and Sile''s home, but under the immense strength gap, he could only follow his grandsons path. At the beginning the emperor and the ministers were focused on the border war. They saw that their armies were no match for the alliance between the federation''s armada and the colossal mecha, and started to feel slightly worried. Knowing the situation was not positive, they hoped Duke Colt could catch the two omegas, at least that way; they only had to face off against the federations fleets. Chapter 27 Who could have thought one of the greatest generals of the empire would fall in battle? And so quickly too? It must be said, that the dukes fleet tried their best. Suppressing their fear, and continuing into battle, but against truly emotionless machines, there is no such thing as fear. In the end, it was humanity that became the empires greatest weakness. Perhaps it is human instinct to fear things that are inherently greater than themselves, but it will also become a self made downfall. Arel and Sile were willing to create those machines, because they were facing an enemy far stronger than themselves. They had already accepted death when they began their operations. It was that acceptance which allowed them to create the weapons and defences they did. Not caring if their own creations at some point would turn on them, they simply wanted to build an extremely powerful force. Now the members of the court sit quietly in the meeting room, they''re aware of their fate, and none of them chose to speak. It was over, and they had lost badly. Their thoughts would come to fruition. Over a span of a year, the federation pushed the empires forces back again and again. The constant victories increased the morale of the federation soldiers. Treaties of peace were sent to Salessa, who chose to ignore it. Although she was not a tyrannical person, she couldn''t leave the empire a way out. If they had a chance to recuperate, it would become a major problem in the future. In this way, more territory was annexed, pushing the empire away from their strongholds. It wasn''t until the aristocrats and ministers had fled towards their farthest border, that Salessa decided they would not be a threat. Many of the aristocrats tried to surrender to her, but she didn''t have any intention of accepting them. Their network of contacts are too large, if they were given free reign to move in the federation, who knows how long it would be, before there was an internal struggle? So she decided that they would remain at the border. It was an exile of sorts, however it was still enough of a mercy, to the group of old and pedantic alphas. It took a long time to stabilise the hearts of the citizens of the empire, whose territory had been merged into the federations. Taking out any suspicious groups that were probably related to the empires court, and some that wished to incite rebellion. When everything was finally settled, years had already passed. The colossal mechas had long since returned to their creators, and Salessa wished to finally meet the two omegas that dealt such a devastating blow to their own empire. Enjoying this book? Seek out the original to ensure the author gets credit. Salessa wouldn''t be suspicious of the two, believing they wanted to usurp power, because she had seen the defences they had erected. None of them were simple, and it had already been proven that they were capable of destroying entire fleets. They wouldn''t need her or the federations army if they wanted to rule the empire, but they chose to ally themselves with her. It was obviously because they wanted a place where they would be treated equally. She, as an Omega, could understand that perfectly. Even in the federation which was more accepting of omegas and Omega rights, there was still discrimination, let alone for aristocratic omegas in the empire. She couldn''t leave the federations capital, so she sent an invitation to the two. She didn''t know if they would accept it, after all, letting them leave their stronghold, where they had remained for nearly a century would be difficult for anyone, but surprisingly they readily agreed. In the years of integrating the empire into the federation, they also took over their warp points, including them into their own, which made travel quite simple. Arel and Sile were indeed not worried. They hadn''t been idle during those years. Slowly involving their harvests in the federations business circle. Using the money they had earned from previous sales, they began to invest heavily into the federation. They hadn''t planned on doing this in the empire because they were under such strict supervision, but now, they could use their enormous wealth, to create a strong backing for themselves in the federation. Many of the merchants, or wealthy members of the empire had the same idea. So very quickly, shares and stock prices sky-rocketed, and land on the federations planet became extremely scarce. Salessa had expected it, so she wasn''t surprised. The new financial influx had helped the federations dwindling reserves, which allowed her to breathe a sigh of relief. Of course there are disadvantages to this practice too, but the advantages still outweigh them. Arel and Sile had purchased a large area of land on the federations capital. It was in the main city, but away from their political district. The two of them had no intention of getting involved in politics, so they had robots build a luxurious mansion in their commercial district. This was the place that suited them best, alongside many of the empires other businessmen and businesswomen. However it soon became apparent, that their wealth was still far above even the old merchant families. They used the ostentatious estate to introduce themselves to the wealthy circle, and it proved very effective. Even their original homes, belonging to their families, were not as extravagant as the mansion they built. Salessa showed great importance to the meeting between them, so when she received reports that their ship had arrived, she sent people to escort them directly to her mansion. Arel and Sile brought a small group of colossal mechas as their protection, which shocked the people of the federations capital. They had been informed of an alliance between a group in the empire that sent terrifying mecha, but seeing the gargantuan titans, they couldn''t help but hold their breaths. Salessa acquiesced to their protective measures, and it didn''t take long for the mechas to power down in Arel and Sile''s newly built mansion. However they could still be clearly seen from a distance, like silent guardians. After that, the two omegas were escorted by the delegation to Salessa''s mansion. Chapter 28 When Arel and Sile arrived at the mansion, they were greeted by Salessa herself. The two of them were born in aristocratic family, and even though they hadn''t been there for nearly a century, the etiquette hadn''t been forgotten. Salessa invited them in and waved away the accompanying servants. They spent the meal chatting about various tasks and goals that they each had. At the end of the conversation, the two sides left quite happily, which meant the discussions had benefited both sides. When Arel and Sile arrived at their newly built mansion, Arel sat down on the couch and asked "What do you think of Salessa?" Sile sat down next to her before replying. "Shrewd". Arel agreed with that description. Even after all the things they had been through, Salessa could still make them feel a sense of oppression. The two were both in awe of, and wary of such a person. However, when it comes to business, the two of them were very happy. They gave up 20% of the profits from their harvests per year, in exchange for various benefits from the government. This can be said to be an even deal. The profits from their planet were astronomical with only the people of the empire able to purchase, now they added the federation to that, and what the government gives them in return is guaranteed protection of sales, as well as access to all the warp points. Now they can finally go out above board, without worrying that the empire will try to close their accounts, or steal their life''s work. After travelling so far, and dealing with an old fox like Salessa, the two of them were exhausted. They walked to the bedroom, and fell into each other''s arms naturally, their pheromones subtle repelling of each other had become the norm for them to fall asleep to. The federations capital had seen a great surge in population. The successful merchants of the empire saw where the market would be in the future and quickly began to buy up the land that could prove their status. Following the trend of Arel and Sile, new constructions were started one after another. This meant that a shake up of the original wealthy circle was about to be underway. The merchants of the federation weren''t happy with this, but they had no chance to stop it, so an auction was set up. These events were usually held for a charity of some sort, but it''s main focus was to get to know other merchants, as well as earn a decent reputation for themselves as philanthropists. You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author. Arel opened the invitation letter sent by the event managers, wondering why they still used such an outdated method as paper. She guessed it was a sort of prestige that merchants liked to use to make themselves feel special. She handed the letter to Sile before asking "Are we going?" Sile read the invitation before answering "We probably have to. Although our business doesn''t involve cooperation with any of them, but it''s better to have one less enemy" a harmless smile appeared on her face. Arel wondered if anyone that decided to be their enemy would regret such a decision after seeing the methods of her wife. "Well since we''re going, we''ll need to spare some time to get dresses for the occasion" Arel said, already showing boredom for the upcoming event. Sile knew Arel didn''t like these kinds of events. When they were still young, they had participated in many of the banquets for their families. There was never a shortage of hypocrisy mixed with interests and calculations in places like that. Sile got up and gently soothed her wife, dropping a kiss on her cheek. "Well let''s go and order the dresses then". The days passed by uneventfully and the day of the auction arrived as scheduled. In the time, the two had purchased some things needed for their status, such as jewellery and vehicles. The two boarded the expensive hover car and headed towards the destination. When they arrived there were countless reporters standing on both sides of the entranceway, fenced off and guarded so the people going in wouldn''t be harassed. When Arel and Sile got out of the car, they drew the attention of many people. The two are new faces to the federation, which means that they''re from the empire, but it''s rare for two omegas to show up to the event together. This isn''t just because there are few Omega merchants, but because this is a place where there is no shortage of others trying to show off. Alphas and betas will of course try to choose the most delicate and beautiful Omega, and the omegas will naturally try to find the most handsome and imposing alpha, but seeing the two beautiful and delicate omegas walking towards the entrance arm in arm, the crowd couldn''t help but watch. When they reached the door, Sile handed over the invitation and the doorman that wondered who these two were looked down at the names, and quickly showed a pleasing gesture, inviting them in immediately. He had been given a list of the more important merchants that were coming to the event, and these two omegas were on the top of it. Arel and Sile walked into the event calmly. The two of them didn''t intend to mingle with others. Only if you had the intention to cooperate would you choose to make small talk, and they didn''t require it, so they found a small lounge to rest at before the auction started. Those that were in the know, were well aware of the identities of the two omegas, while others were completely unaware. Naturally this is a place for the rich and wealthy to appear, so no one that was invited should be stupid enough to offend anyone else, especially if there are countless new faces that they don''t know the strength of. However where there are smart people, there will often be brainless people too. A young Omega woman looked at Arel and Sile from a distance. She had seen her fiance''s eyes locked on the two of them since they entered, and jealousy began to sprout in her heart. "Damn those filthy little vixens" she sneered under her breath.
