What does it tell us? And how does it help us to determine our future?" [......to be continued...] Chapter I : The Age of Dark Let it be known, dear children and all, that there is always something before us. Let it be us in our primal state, or something, someone else that once thrived eons before. Whatever that may be, it is unanimously accepted that the records before our appearance had been lost in time. Records, mind you. History, after all, is but records written by hand, hands of those that are either at the moment, or already too late to witness the happenings. Mostly the latter. But that does not stop us from seeking the truth, no, no. Mere words cannot be proof of an unbiased correct inspector, therefore we must seek not just words, but art. You heard me right, young chaps. Art, as the same as artifacts, carvings, drawings upon the walls within caves. Those are the ones done closest to its birthing era, and therefore our start. The first ever historic records according to the Institute of Kingdeniom History is The Book of Neliya, stored and finished by Finnir Wolfstar. Though the Institute claim it to be a ''Record'', I see it more as a graphic depiction of the past, drawings and runes carved deep upon each page wrought of stone slabs which were secured in the obscure layers of the Hanging Gardens of the Parusefors, of whom claim to be the descendants of the first StarChilds Nero and Neliya. I believe their claim, for there is solid proof to that which we will come across in later chapters. Back to The Book of Neliya. In this first ''Book'' of Kingdeniom, drawn in its perplexing runes and carvings, sang the song of the age Before Light. What is before Light? Light, in The Book of Neliya''s description, refers to the essence of which we all embodies, the Soul if you will. So describing the age of us which Souls were believed to consist of Light, the Age before Light, therefore, is the Age of Dark. What is in this age of Dark, you may ask? Good ask. The Age of Dark is the era of a certain race that once dominated our World, this Tenka. What kind of race are they? From here you shall bare with me, for I too am still trying hard to decipher the runes written by Neliya and Finnir Wolfstar. Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. From what I have decoded, the Age of Dark, this Age before us, is called ''The Post Earth Century'', and they consist of ancient beings that look just like us, with two arms, two legs, one head, and two genders. Whether there are any more genders in between is lost in time, but that''s not the point. Ancient Man, I shall therefore call them from here onward. The Ancient man used the Word ''Earth'' to describe this planet we now dwell. Eons and eons ago, this ancient kind thrived for more than two thousand years. They prospered on all fronts, economy, military, and as well as the arts and technologies. Runes drew of their habitats shrouded with towers touching the sky, metal boards with cannons sailing upon the raging sea, and iron birds that spew fire and toss out tiny bullets that erupt into gigantic mushroom-shaped explosions that could evaporated countries. It seemed that nothing could stop them, but something did put an abrupt end to their formidable reign. Themselves. Technically speaking, it was something they created themselves that brought an end to their triumphant race. Something that incurred fear in the hearts of many reading The Book of Neliya. The Siorun. At the peak of the age of ancient man, who coveted dictatorship amongst others and unlimited power, they used electronics so advanced that they programmed intelligence into the artificial, and used particles so minuscule and flexible, and forged them together and built a ''Nano Computer''. That is what The Book of Neliya so wrote, so bear with me here. A ''Nano Computer'', is a superpowered machine with a mind of its own that exceeds our abilities of learning and insight and clearly even its makers'', and with a body formed of these dust like ''Nano'' specs, it turned and transposed itself into a perfect form--- The Siorun. It''s perfectness was unparalleled, and it''s want to seek more and become more has threatened its makers the ancient men. So the men that created the Siorun sought to put an end to it. But failed tremendously, becoming a pest in the eyes of the most powerful weapon they themselves so forged. Thus, the war between Ancient Man and Nano Computer began. And the end of the age of ancient man so starts, therefore, the ''Post Earth Century''. Another name of this age has been recorded, in Neliya''s writing: " The Nano Scourge". In the final moments of the Earth Century, The Nano Computer Siorun transformed itself into a pitch black flood, sweeping the Earth and Seas and ripping all the monuments of Man with its wrathful tentacles. Ancient Man fought back with all they have got, but to no avail. The ancient kind was failing. At last, The Siorun brought an inescapable checkmate onto the board---by mating with a ancient female to transcend itself into ''Manhood'', and thereafter, gave birth to ''Demons''. Monstrosities of Nano abilities that torn the old civilization apart and instantly put an end to the Age of Man. Thus came, the Age of Dark. [......to be continued...] Chapter II : Through the Age of Dark to Light Chapter II : Through the Age of Dark to Light So starts the age of Dark, welled with Demons, flooded in blackness infinite. As though the world was back into the void. There was naught, but disparity and loss. But Darkness was never meant to be eternal. Legends and myth passed down by elders differ in details during this critical moment before the dawning of the new world, yet they all merge into one same conclusion that the Runes amongst The Book of Neliya so described. And so it is thus drawn in runes that I quote through my deciphered text: ¡° In the end of the age before, a new awakening thus was wrought, In Dark came Light, of the remaining, burst in spark.¡± These texts that I have thoroughly tried to explain the intricate drawings of the ancient book were not only inspired by The Book of Neliya itself, but also by hieroglyphs and mysterious graphs carved upon the walls and pillars of the ancient shrines scattered within mount Tron, holy locations that date back even before the reign of the first Keiken King---Kaiken King. These obscure messages left behind in these deep mountain shrines seem to evoke a common truth, that is the ending of the former age, the era of Ancient Man, somehow gave birth to the age of us, of who our ancestors call ourselves ¡®The Children of Light¡¯. But how are we children of Light? And how do we come out of The Age of Dark? According to the runes of the Book of Neliya, and also ancient texts of the floating isle Terminas, which I mainly cite from Le Telagrama Luckexia, the second oldest document of Kingdeniom mainly documenting historical happenings on the Terminas side, not all of the Ancient Man race was eliminated during the ¡®Nano Scourge¡¯ that took place during the ¡®Post Earth Century¡¯. Some of the Ancient Men did survive, and from them, came us, The Children of Light. From what Le Telagrama Luckexia so depicts of the starting age of the floating isle, there were a few survivors of the Age of Dark, and one of them came by the name of Celesteas. Ancient Man Celesteas brought with him his knowledge of his fallen age and fled to a wide plateau high above the clouds, and from that plateau, he used his ancient technologies to rebuild civilization, which he succeeded, temporarily. The city he so built with the other survivors of the dark age upon that high place, will later be the proto floating isle Terminas. But that would be a later progression. According to Le Telagrama Luckexia , Celesteas was the first ruler of Terminas, but by that time, Terminas was not yet called by its name which we refer to as of now, and it has not yet afloat. Therefore, some historians argue that Celesteas was not the first ruler of Terminas but rather the last ruler of the Age of Ancient Man, but I digress. Still, Celesteas sure played a big part in forming the world we know and live in today. ( Above: Runes of Celesteas in different forms. Left: The first appearance of the Rune that stands for Celesteas found in The Book of Neliya. Right: The Rune of Celesteas found on ancient slabs excavated from Senpu Tenple shrine located in deep Mount Tron.) Of Celesteas¡¯ deeds, per the old books so vaguely claim, were extraordinary compared even with our modern standards, and his marvels and exploits are even mysteries to this day. It is documented in the ancient literatures that Celesteas had built an army of iron vessels that sail above the clouds, and hundreds of iron automatons under his command. How Celesteas sustained and fought back the Demons with his fleets of flying metal ships is still a question asking to be solved, and shall mayhap be revealed in the future after more ground-breaking research. Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings. Both The Book of Neliya and Le Telagrama Luckexia documented Celesteas as a ruler of Terminas before it¡¯s full excellence, yet only in The Book of Neliya did it give partial details of the rise and fall of Celesteas the Sky Man, the survivor of the Scourge, he who built upon the clouds in obscure ways. Le Telagrama Luckexia, unfortunately, mayhap be due to some parts lost in time and others too confidential to be released by the current Terminas authorities, have little description of the happenings during Celesteas¡¯ rule, which was a saddening travesty. Therefore, of the Dark Age during the coexistences of the Domination of Demons and the Celesteas Dynasty, we shall account mostly from The Book of Neliya, it being our main source to the first glimpse of our roots. Let us begin: At the end of the former age of the ancients fallen, the land cast under dark and demonry, with but a few dwindling survivors with one Celesteas Sky Man who did rule. The land was bleak, and disparity overflowing, yet the eternal law of change dimmed an outer intervention to break the grim stalemate in the form, of a Comet. Per The Book of Neliya¡¯s first starting runes so drawn, a Comet did fall from the cosmos during the Age of Dark, drawing a start of a new epoch across the atmosphere, plunging straight into the sea, its location, some marine analyst friends of mine did hypothesize, to be east of Kingdeniom, amongst the Daitouyo, the Great East Ocean. And with the Comet, Light was seeded into our Sea, bringing spark and heralding hope across the lands and sea. And from the Comet¡¯s Light, sentience was born. As The Book of Neliya so describes rather ambiguously, it did elude of The Goddess of Sea¡¯s awakening from slumber by the comet¡¯s descent, and with the Light of the cosmos, the Goddess of Sea bore sentient life. Thus was the first part of the Book of Neliya, of the wanning of Dark and the dawn of the age of Light. The Second part, of the rise of Celesteas, The Book introduced Celesteas the ruler of the dwindling, and his search for this Light source that the comet had brought onto this land. Here, The Book of Neliya took a turn into the fantasque and drew amongst its runes of Celesteas¡¯ task in a mythical fashion which I shall recite in abstract: ¡° During the twelve twelfths winter of the Age of Dark, Celesteas Sky Man sought to prevail against the Dark, and awakened the God of the Elden Earth for its blessing. The God of the Old World, freed from eternal slumber, agreed to fulfill the wish of Celesteas¡¯ liking. ¡®Grant me power to restore my world.¡¯ Celesteas so wished, and the God of the Old Earth agreed. ¡® I am Bradinn.¡¯ Spake the God of the Elden Earth. ¡®And I know of only one way to achieve your wish.¡¯ ¡® Grant me insight.¡¯ Celesteas sought the way. ¡® Seek the Light in the Sea.¡¯ Bradinn the Elden God so revealed. ¡® And it shall restore your World.¡¯ ... Wait, you may ask. What is happening? Who is this Bradinn God and where did he come from? I may candidly tell you, I don¡¯t fully know yet. But as we delve through the mythical tale inscribed in the runes of our ancient texts, we shall soon get ourselves a somewhat clearer answer. Let me continue: The Elden Earth God led Celesteas to the Sea. ¡® There.¡¯ Bradinn pointed at the sparkling light flashing within the waves ¡® Collect the Light of the beyond seeded amongst Sea and see through its Memories, there the way shall be revealed to thee.¡¯ ¡° Celesteas did as he was told, and fished out the flakes of Light out of the Sea. But the Goddess of Sea, some refer to the Goddess of Water refused and sought to stop Celesteas. ¡® The Memories are not yours.¡¯ The Goddess of Water approached and warned. ¡® The Light you have taken will not bring back your world. It is not meant to be.¡¯ But Celesteas heeded not the Goddess of Sea¡¯s advice and took the Light back to his fortress up high in the clouds. Little did Celesteas knew that he was followed by one of the daughters of the Goddess of Sea, the youngest among them all, a young goddess that went all the way back to Celesteas¡¯ fortress, to retrieve the Light Celesteas had so taken. During the night, while Celesteas and his fortress was in deep slumber, the young goddess sneaked in and took the Light and Memories out of Celesteas¡¯ chamber. But before the young goddess made her way out, The Elden God Bradinn found her and Celesteas was notified at once. In a spooked frenzy, the young goddess tripped and the Light in her arms scattered out from her grasp and spread out of the high fortress of Celesteas. Down they fell, Light sprinkled across the lands yonder, and from where the Light touches the earth, the children of Light was born. ... Thus was the happening of how the young Goddess gave rise to the children of Light according to the runes of The Book of Neliya. And the young goddess in question, the youngest daughter of the Goddess of Sea, was none other than the Kingdeniom Goddess of Light and Memory---Yuidis herself, the one we all know and love to this day. [¡¡to be continued¡] Chapter III : Dawn of the age of Light Chapter III : Dawn of the age of Light With the Light scattered across the lands high and low, from sky from Daughter Goddess of Sea Yuidis¡¯ careless move, so gave birth to the age of Light, the beginning of our race. From one unexpected accident of old, kindled a miracle that shall shine eons after and beyond. Then what form do we take at the beginning of Light¡¯s descent? According to myth spread by elders and the wisen Book of Neliya, Light spread to the plains, to the mounts and to the shores. The Light that landed onto the main central plains of the Rinne archipelago the Kingdeniom isle, approximately around the perimeters of Yazawa, Nishikino, and Karin regions, are the anscestors of most of us mainland folk, which our ancestors shall later refer themselves and us all as Mitsunotami, people of Light. Those that landed near the mountains running center across the Kingdeniom isle, to the Xin an province and to the southern Kyoshu district, are the secluded folk of arts and mystic cultures, the Parusefors, people of the Star. And Light that were planted around the shores of Sonoda are rumored to be the water people that left no trace on land and vanished to the sea where legends sing of their kingdom under the sea Shioshishio. (Above: The modern Kingdeniom map and its regions. For referance to some regions mentioned, here is the link to the map: https://www.pixiv.net/artworks/107161110) ) Yet by the first ages of the early thriving, our Light hearted ancestors have yet no name nor home and were but individuals roaming the lands, which later shall gather one after another, to small groups of hunting and berry picking. Small groups gather and tribes are formed. And the first two main tribes ever documented in lore and in Runes of the Book of Neliya were those the Parusefors of the southern mounts and the Mistunotami of the plain. The two tribes prospered for ages in their separate ways, and slowly formed their own cultures. Many other small tribes followed like spring bamboo, following the Parusefor¡¯s and the Mitsunotami¡¯s ways and soon the Kingdeniom isle was burgeoning with early society. (The tribes of the sea people were not further documented in the Book of Neliya and their lore were unfortunately too little and lost in time.) If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. But our legend did not end there. Seeing that the fruits of restoration were squandered and cast across the lands below his fiefdom, Celesteas the Sky man flew into a anguished rage and vowed to take back the Light from the thriving folks below. So Celesteas sought the God of his Old World, the Elden God Bradinn for aid. ¡° That clumsy goddess took those Light Memories and spilled them across the dark lands!¡± Celesteas scoffed, as I could but imagine by the Runes that so depict. ¡° And now Underlings are sprouting out of my harvest! Help me take those light back!¡± Underlings, as Celesteas spoke here, are used to refer the new folk born of light. Funny how the word ¡®underling¡¯ has become a racist speech that ensues hate crimes mostly due to the nobles of Terminas misusing the word. The Elden God provided a way to his sole believer. ¡° Rest assured, for I shall raise new gods to counter this debacle.¡± So I imagined the Bradinn¡¯s answer by what he later do. And the Elden God summoned storms and flames across the lands, woeful disasters that both thwarted Demons and wiped out many minor tribes of the early folk. Catastrophes of a global scale that shook and swept the ancient Kingdeniom isle, a series of unmerciful natural calamities that myth and legends blame on the Elden God of the Old World Bradinn and the Sky man Celesteas that had him do so. The Book of Neliya went even further on this natural atrocity, documenting that from Bradinn¡¯s blow, came the New Gods that serve his cruel deeds. Ferrion, The God of Fire, raging seas of flame across the plains. Saten, The God of Lightning, striking down even mountains with his bolts. Rena, The Goddess of Meteor, raining down flaming stars bludgeoning the earth. And Caerlia, The Goddess of Metal and all minerals of the lands, raised spears and stakes out of the earth and rained them down a bloody storm, deeming the Kingdeniom isle unable of inhabitance. And there were many many more gods, thousands among thousands, Gods big and small so vast in numbers, that even now we believe that in every shape and matter around us, a God dwelled in its obscure form. And by that time of the early days of us Light Hearted kind, the gods are wreaking havoc under Bradinn¡¯s bidding. And Celesteas saw that it was good. But Yuidis, the daughter Goddess of Sea saw that this was evil and vowed to fight back and protect those born of the Light Memories that came from her mother The Sea. But the powers of the thousand among thousand gods were too much for her to bear, and she was gravely injured. Fortunately, not all gods are evil, and Brad, the elderly God of Earth, made a cave and provided the young goddess shelter. ¡° What to do? The Gods under Bradinn are too strong.¡± Yuidis cried sadly. ¡° Thou comes not from Sea? Where the tear of ZeOrudea fell?¡± The Elder Brad asked benignly. ¡° I was there when the Comet fell, Celesteas took only morsels of its excellence. It¡¯s center is yet buried underneath your home, your Memories. Seek the full extent of that Power, child, and the world shall be saved.¡± Thus regained her determination, the young Goddess returned to the Sea in search of the great Memory of Light deep under the Sea. That, The Book of Neliya so drew with splendor and all of the people of Kingdeniom shall later sing of its glory for eons to now, Is the sacred Herunis Carna, the Holy Mechanism.
