《Avariena: Trapped in the Mystifying School of Terror.》 Chapter 1: School isnt fun at all! Chapter 1: School isn''t fun at all! *Avariena¡¯s POV* Today is just like any other day for me. I woke up, got out of bed, took a bath, and got ready for school. Ah, my name is Avariena Inoue. I am just a normal high-school student. Well, not really normal, but normal enough. I am part Russian, and part Japanese. My mother moved to Japan, and then fell in love with a Japanese man. Even though I am Japanese, I was still given a Russian sounding name. Though, that¡¯s not why I say that I am not normal. My mother is a famous business woman, due to that, I was given amazing tutoring by the best teachers money could buy. I am not normal, because I have not only the best grades in my school, but in all of Japan. You would think that because I have such good grades, that people would flock to me. Problem is, my mother wanted me to go to school, and get good grades on my own merit. Which means that no one knows that I am actually quite rich. Well, my mother is rich. I won¡¯t deny that I have been supported by her, but I was never really given too much spending money per week. As in her words, ¡°To make sure I don¡¯t turn into a spoiled brat.¡± I mean, I guess she had a point. Oh, right. The reason I am isolated in school, is because it¡¯s a school for the wealthy. I didn¡¯t get into it from my mother donating, or using her name to get me in. As I¡¯ve said, it was because I have amazing grades. So, right, the problem¡ It¡¯s simple, most of the students here are from wealthy families like me. They think that I am some filthy poor person, or something stupid like that. Honestly, I feel like school have become my own personal hell. Do you know how many times that a fellow student has asked me to quit getting good grades, all with a hefty bribe included? Waaaay too many! Frankly, more students have asked me to tutor them than I can even recall¡ Aren¡¯t these people suppose to manage multi million dollar business when they grow up? Which is why I say my mom was correct in her parenting methods. Granted, she has never mistreated me, she has always given me motherly love. And I love her greatly. Huh? What about my father? Ah, it turned out that he was cheating on my mom. As you would expect, they divorced quickly after she found out. Not like it mattered much to me, it happened when I was only 4 years old, after all. Ah, I am currently 18 at the moment. I actually just celebrated my 18th birthday a few days ago. And I am on my last year of high-school. *Knock!* Oh, one of my maids just knocked on my door. Most likely to tell me to wake up, and that breakfast is done. I opened the door, and then followed her to the dining room. My mother isn¡¯t here at the moment. She is currently in America, making a big business deal with a company. Something about clothing? I don¡¯t really remember if she even told me what the deal was about¡ I¡¯ve always liked America style breakfast, so that is what was made for me this morning. As you would expect from a slightly pampered rich girl, my breakfast was very good. Damn¡ looking at the time, I have to go to school now. Which, you know, sucks. One of my maids said that the driver was ready for me, but I should remember to pray before leaving. Pray? Well, yes. You see, in this world, Gods, Goddesses, Demons, etc, exist. Don¡¯t want to be killed by some random powerful being? Find a God or Goddess to pray to. They¡¯ll protect you. Forget to pray every once in a while? Good luck trying to survive! Though, it depends on the being who you chose to worship. Some beings don¡¯t just want prayers either, some want sacrifices, of varying degrees. My family worships the Goddess, Ruina. She only requires you to pray to her once every morning. Why do beings like her want to be worshiped? Because it gives them power. Now, the world wasn¡¯t always like this. When I was 6, beings from different dimensions all piled into ours. For what reason, no one knows. Some say that we got caught up in a game for powerful beings. The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement. Which isn¡¯t really that long of stretch. Why? Because only special beings can enter doors that pop up randomly. Most higher beings don¡¯t really bother to talk to us mortals, which means we have no idea what is on the other side of the doors. All we know is that they tend to enter them. They always reappear later, so it¡¯s not like they leave this dimension. The doors disappear forever. Though, none of that really matters for me. Besides the whole, needing to worship a higher being, thing, life remains mostly normal. And it¡¯s not like being an atheist will get you instantly killed. It¡¯s just that having a higher beings protection, is just a very good idea. Just think of it like overly complex life insurance. Ah, I am rambling¡ Maybe to distract myself from the knowledge that I have to go to school¡ I mean, it¡¯s not like I am super bullied, or anything. Just ostracized. Truly, I wish that I could just do my classes online, instead of having to go to school. It¡¯s not like going to school helps me get better grades. In fact, it hurts my grades. You know, I must sound like a very prim and proper lady, but that isn¡¯t truly the case. Sure, I am a nice person, I dress up nicely, I wear just a little bit of makeup, and I think that I look cute as well. As for how I look, I have shoulder length brown hair, and amber eyes. Much to my chagrin, I have barely c-cup breasts, that seem to have completely stopped growing¡ Ah, right. I am not that prim and proper of a lady, because I skip most of my classes. Why? Because I can. No really, I have permission to do so. Being the top student in the entire country, gives me a lot of benefits. Besides, it¡¯s not like the teachers at this school can even teach me anything. Stupidly, I still have to actually attend school. I usually just chill out in the library, or the rooftop. I know, I am such a delinquent, right? Well, no. Actually any student is allowed on the rooftop. It¡¯s not just a normal rooftop either. It¡¯s just as luxurious as the rest of the school. Damn¡ all of that rambling, and now I am at school. Where should I laze around today? Hmm¡ maybe the garden? No. If I go to the garden, I¡¯ll end up eating the fruit that is growing there. Never really been one to eat snacks, so I¡¯ll ruin my appetite. Heading into the school, I run into some bullies. Yeah, it¡¯s more accurate to call them harassers. Stupid as bullying is, they know not to go too far. After all, they have promising lives to look forward to. If they fuck it up, just because they bullied someone, it would suck a lot for them. The leader of the bullies is Sana. Like a villainess in a light novel, she has lackeys. I actually don¡¯t even recall their names. As for how she looks, no, she doesn¡¯t have twirly hair spirals. She just looks like an average Japanese girl. Sara: ¡°Good morning, commoner.¡± Sara said with a haughty tone. The way she refers to me, always makes me laugh. Who the hell calls people ¡°commoner¡± these days? I kinda feel like she is doing a bit, or something. Avariena: ¡°Good morning. How are you today?¡± I ask with a smile. Sara: ¡°Upset.¡± She said with a pout. Avariena: ¡°And why is that?¡± I ask with a curious tone. Sara: ¡°My Goddess said that I must stop bullying you. And that I have to apologize to you as well.¡± Sara said with an annoyed tone. Avariena: ¡°Hm? Your Goddess actually meddled in the mortal world? What Goddess do you worship? I am very curious. Oh, apology accepted. The bullying didn¡¯t go that far anyway.¡± I ask. Sara: ¡°Not far? You do know that we destroyed your clothes, messed with your food, threw water on you, and other ways we bullied you, right?¡± Sara said with a confused expression. Even her lackeys seemed to look remorseful¡ Why the hell did they change their mind about bullying me? Avariena: ¡°It didn¡¯t go too far, since it wasn¡¯t anything that I couldn¡¯t handle.¡± I say with a shrug. Sara: ¡°I guess so¡ My family worships the Goddess Ruina. You must be surprised at our change in heart, don¡¯t be. My friends and I, were subjected to experiencing you being bullied by us.¡± Sara said with a remorseful tone. Ah, I mean, I guess that a Goddess could do something like that¡ I guess they were subjected to a nightmare similar to a VR game. Avariena: ¡°I¡¯m sorry that you had to go through that.¡± I say with a sad tone. Sara: ¡°Seeing you sad for us, makes us feel even more guilt¡ Look, we won¡¯t bully you anymore, and we¡¯re sorry. I don¡¯t know what came over us, to act like evil children.¡± Sara said with a bow. Maybe they were possessed by a demon? It¡¯s hard to say. Things like that are common in this world nowadays. Avariena: ¡°It¡¯s fine. Though, I find it funny that you still call me commoner.¡± I say with a giggle. Sara: ¡°Ah¡ I¡¯m sorry. That¡¯s just how I have always referred to you as.¡± Sara said with an embarrassed tone and expression. After that, we went our separate ways. Honestly, I couldn¡¯t be mad at her. You see, I have something wrong with my brain, where I can¡¯t get upset at cute girls. Even if they wrong me in some way. With my bully now dealt with, I decided to actually attend one of my classes. This will most likely end up being one of the worst decisions I have ever made¡ Why? Oh, no reason. Just that my classroom turned into a nightmare! And I mean that in every sense of the word. The walls were now made of flesh. And there was a horrible smell coming from every direction. Now, this wasn¡¯t an unknown event to happen. Such things have happened before. Apparently, if those doors aren¡¯t dealt with fast enough, they¡¯ll explode, and trap anyone within a mile of it, within itself. One time, it was so bad, that the higher beings had to revert time just to save everyone. The obvious answer, is that there was a door around this area, that no one knew about. It¡¯s been many years since something like this occurred. So, that¡¯s cool, right? Since it¡¯s happened before, surely there are protocols for an event like this, right? Yeah, survive! That¡¯s all you can do in this situation. Ah, I knew that I shouldn¡¯t have gone to school today¡ Chapter 2: Survive? Chapter 2: Survive? *Avariena¡¯s POV* What are we helpless high-school students to do in such a situation? Panic, scream, or pass out? Well, my fellow students were all doing a mix of three. Even the teachers were doing one of the three¡ As for me, I got out from my seat, picked up my school bag, and exited the classroom. Which was a good fucking idea. Why? Because right as I was doing that, a scary looking tall and lanky creature with a pumpkin head, and chainsaws for hands, entered the classroom from the opposite door. I actually just missed him¡ Hearing the sounds of screaming, chainsaws, and what I can only assume is, flesh being ripped and torn, I ran through the corridor. There is no way to escape this pocket dimension. At least, not for us mortals. We have to wait for a higher being to deal with it. Huh? What about my Goddess? I can¡¯t rely on her for this situation. Why would she bother to manifest in this pocket dimension just for me? I am just a normal mortal. Not one that even has much value to her. But she helped me with my bullies? Well, she did. But not because she cares about me. It was only because Sara and her lackeys were committing evil, and their prayers were slightly tainted due to it. Wouldn¡¯t you be pissed off if something like a fly landed in your food? That was basically the only reason she bothered to ¡°help¡± me. Right now, I am currently rushing to the principles office. The principle, she is rumored to be a Goddess in disguise. Which means my best bet is making it to her as soon as possible. Surprisingly, I haven¡¯t run into any other monsters. Granted, I came across various piles of bodies, of my former classmates. It seems like the monsters all split up, and entered the classrooms first. The blood and gore around me, is quite disgusting. And I am proud at myself for not throwing up. As well as me keeping myself calm. *Thirty minutes later.* Annoyingly, the principles office is on the far wing of the school. And the class I attended was on the far opposite side of the school. As such, it took more thirty minutes just to make it halfway there. Why only halfway? Well, I have ended up in a bad situation. There is a monster in front of me. It has no eyes, it also looked lanky like the last monster. A few fellow students of mine, where cowering with their backs to the wall. If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. This monster seems to be both blind, and unable to smell anything. Ah, Goddess bless that this school is so high class. If it was a normal school, the floor might make sounds when you step on it. Regardless of how careful you step. That isn¡¯t a problem with the floors in this school. Now, as for the monster, I picked up a small metal trash can. Making sure not to make any sound in the process. Then I threw the metal trash can into a vacant classroom. I first checked to make sure there weren¡¯t any students or teachers left in the room. Otherwise, I would be sending them to their deaths¡ Anyway, after I threw the trash can, the monster broke through the wall to chase after the noise. I glanced to the three students, and then we quietly made our way further into the corridor. We had no idea how good of hearing that thing has, so we didn¡¯t speak to each other at all. *Some time later.* After walking for another thirty minutes, I finally made it to the principles office. As for the students that I saved, they went their separate ways. They decided to take their chances alone. Well, not like I was able to offer them any safety. They also weren¡¯t keen on just going off of the rumor about the principle. My main problem now, there was no one in her office at all. Either she left, or she wasn¡¯t a Goddess at all, and was killed. It¡¯s hard to say. With nothing better to do, I decided to look around her office a bit. Oddly, I found a handgun in her desk. Why the hell a principle needed a handgun for, I have no idea. There was even a box of ammo stored in her desk. You know¡ she didn¡¯t even bother to lock the desk at all. Well, at least I got a weapon now. I know what you¡¯re thinking. A high-school girl with a gun? This can¡¯t end well! But luckily, I have been to the US with my mom many times. On pretty much every trip, we ended up shooting firearms. Since Mom and I both really enjoy shooting them. My mom is really cool, you know. I wouldn¡¯t be surprised if she managed to save me from this pocket dimension¡ Ah, anyway, I checked the handgun. It was chambered in 45 ACP, and the rounds where hollow point rounds. Pretty good for scary monsters. There was no round loaded into the chamber, so I chambered one. Now I had a decent weapon to defend myself with. Though, how effective it will be on the monsters, that I have no clue. Dammit! Me and my big stupid fucking mouth! Right as I was thinking that, a small monster burst through the door. It was about the size of a basketball. Taking aim, I shot it, and with a *splat!* it was turned into mush. Huh¡ even with hollow point rounds, it shouldn¡¯t have died that easily¡ Making sure there weren¡¯t any other monsters trying to ambush me, I went back to the desk to check the ammo. And damn! These were holy rounds! These cost so much damn money to buy. Even better, the rounds where Ruina rounds. Which means, me, as a worshiper of her, the rounds will be even more effective. Now, rather or not I could kill those two big monsters with it, I have no idea at all. Yes, I know that it¡¯s weird that a Goddess blessed bullets. But a lot of expensive products were blessed by various beings. It¡¯s just standard marketing, I guess. With such a bountiful luck! I grabbed the box of ammo and stuffed it into my school bag. Before doing that, I emptied it out. No need to carry extra unnecessary weight in this situation. Fuck¡ what should I do now? Hiding out in her office, would not be a good idea at all. The door was smashed completely. Thinking about this, I wandered back out into the corridor. Now I just need to have the luck to not run into any more monsters¡ Chapter 3: Why me? Chapter 3: Why me? *Avariena¡¯s POV* Exploring around the school, it was like I was in a completely different world¡ Well, technically, I am in a pocket dimension. So I really was in a different dimension¡ Parts of the school that I¡¯ve grown used to, look completely different now. Honestly, how I even managed to make it to the principles office, was an actual miracle. Looking out the window, all I see is a blood red and cloudy sky. It seems like the longer I stay in this dimension, the worse everything gets. Oddly, a few of the big monsters have just passed me by, without even bothering me at all. The small ones do bother me, though. It seems like the bigger ones only mess with groups. At least, from the ones that I¡¯ve met. Ah, there was this horrible thing that happened an hour ago¡ I came to a classroom, there was a group of five students hiding there in it. Based on my own theories about the big ones, I did not decide to join their group. Once again, I was lucky. After I left, all I heard was screaming. Despite my whole being screaming at me, I peeked back into the room. There was no one left in the classroom. Though, there was a locker, which was covered in blood and gore. Huh¡ so I just barely escaped getting eaten by a locker¡ That was my thought at the time. What am I thinking about now? Well, I am currently trapped inside a creature¡ Said creature has a cage-like main body. How I got captured was pretty simple, it ambushed me by hiding at a turn in one of the corridor halls, and then swallowed me up. It wasn¡¯t lanky, but very fat. And the way it gets things trapped within it is by eating you with its large mouth. As for what it wants with me, I have no idea. It hasn¡¯t killed me yet. Nor has it killed the eight other students trapped with me. Ah, dammit! Me and my big mouth¡ As I was thinking that, a hole opened up at the bottom of the cage. I was holding on to the bars, so I didn¡¯t fall into the hole. Those that did, which was all of the other students besides me, were blended up. Ah, so it¡¯s a cage blender monster. That¡¯s fun¡ Looking into the hole, I could see something that could possibly be its heart. This monster is super pissed off that I am not dead yet, as such, it¡¯s flinging itself around, trying to get me to let go of the bars. Taking my handgun out of my schoolbag, I took one shot at the heart. Which seems to have killed the monster easily. What wasn¡¯t easy, was that it melted. With me in it! Aaaaa! Now I was covered in monster flesh gunk¡ Why me?¡ Well, at least I am alive¡ Can¡¯t say the same for my once fellow students. *Hours later.* This place was no longer a school. It was a nightmare world. A few minutes ago, the walls of the school started to melt. I managed to escape the school fast enough before it did. Support the creativity of authors by visiting Royal Road for this novel and more. Now the world around me was even worse. Think of the most fucked up kind of world that you can think of. This place was worse than that. It was a horror landscape. Way above me, I could see monsters flying in the sky. It was a swarm of manta ray looking creatures. I figured that if I needed to, I could just shoot them down. I abandoned that thought, when a giant serpent-like creature just swallowed the manta monsters whole in one gulp¡ Once I returned to reality, I realized that there were swarms of monsters coming my way. Without a second thought, I ran in the opposite direction of them. After running for a bit, I came across a small cave. The entrance was only really big enough for a person, and I doubt even the small monsters could fit through the hole. It was my best bet, so I went into the hole. Inside were other students. They didn¡¯t look good at all, one was missing his arm, and I doubt that he would survive much longer. He clearly lost a shit ton of blood. Thinking back, he was with that group that I saved before. Though, it was only him. None of the others in that group seem to have survived¡ Avariena: ¡°The school melted, and I didn¡¯t see any other students after it did. Are we only the only survivors?¡± I ask with a serious tone. Not counting me or the one student that is sure to die soon, there are only five other students left. Around two thousand students went to my high school, the rest are either lost, or dead. This was probably the highest number of people to die in one event that has happened in years¡ That being said, there is no telling if the rest of us will actually survive. None of the other students replied to me at all. They all looked to be at a loss, or just have gone into a catatonic state. Eventually, one of the students came up to me. It was the school princess. Well, it wasn¡¯t that big of long shot, to call her that. Her name is Kaito Harada, heir to one of the most profitable business families in Japan. Kaito is half-Japanese, half American. Due to that, she has long blond hair down to her waist. Her eyes are green, which makes her look like a famous model, or something like that. Well, she is just very beautiful, if I am being honest. No one really knows much about her, besides her background. She mostly keeps to herself in class, and doesn¡¯t seem to have any school friends. What I do know, is that she is in the same year as me, so she is most likely the same age as me as well. Kaito: ¡°Are you Avariena Inoue?¡± Kaito asked. Avariena: ¡°That¡¯s right. And you¡¯re Kaito Harada.¡± I reply. Kaito: ¡°That¡¯s also right. May I borrow your handgun? I¡¯ll return it quickly.¡± Kaito asked with a serious tone. Not one to deny a pretty girl, I handed her my handgun without a fuss. Avariena: ¡°There is a round in the chamber, but the safety is on.¡± I say after handing her my handgun. Kaito: ¡°Thanks.¡± She said with a smile. She then walked over to the boy with the missing arm, and shot him in the head. The other students were greatly shocked by what Kaito just did. Some of them tried to rush her, she just shot them in their knees. The other students didn¡¯t even bother to realize what had just happened, and were still huddling on the ground together. Avariena: ¡°Why did you kill him? I mean, he lost a lot of blood, and was unlikely to survive, but there still could have been a small chance.¡± I ask with a grim tone. Kaito: ¡°You think that I am horrible person? He told me that he wished to die, all I did was grant him that wish. Here¡¯s your gun back.¡± Kaito said before handing me back my handgun. That¡¯s a good enough reason, I guess. Kaito didn¡¯t bother stick around. She went to the cave entrance, and was about to leave, before I stopped her. Avariena: ¡°Where are you going? I was chased by a ton of monsters on my way to this cave.¡± I ask. Kaito: ¡°If you survived the school, you should know that so far, the big monsters don¡¯t attack those not in groups. I¡¯ll be fine. Oh, as long as the group is fewer than three people, they also won¡¯t attack.¡± Kaito explained. Avariena: ¡°What is your plan?¡± I ask. Kaito: ¡°Find a way to survive. It¡¯s been hours since we got trapped in this pocket dimension. I am getting hungry.¡± Kaito replied. Avariena: ¡°Where would we even get food?¡± I ask with a sigh. Kaito: ¡°It¡¯s hard to say, but looking for food, sure as hell beats wasting away in this cave. You should come with me, you seem to be very capable.¡± Kaito proposed. She¡¯s right. The people in this cave have pretty much already given up. At least Kaito and I still wish to try to survive. Avariena: ¡°Alright, I¡¯ll go with you.¡± I reply with a smile. Like that, Kaito and I left the cave. We really have no idea what we will find, or even if we will survive. It¡¯s still better to try in the end. Ah, I just want to see my mom again¡ Chapter 4: Food is Needed! Chapter 4: Food is Needed! *Avariena¡¯s POV* Kaito and I walked on an uneven landscape for hours. We eventually came across a small town. The school melted, but the town did not. It seems like that door took in a lot of more the my dimension than I originally thought that it did. Avariena: ¡°Do you think that we¡¯ll find food in the city?¡± I ask with an unsure tone. Kaito: ¡°It can¡¯t hurt to try. By the way, where did you get that gun?¡± Kaito asked with a curious tone. Avariena: ¡°Remember how principle Yuna is said to be a Goddess in disguise?¡± I ask. Kaito: ¡°Yes?¡± Kaito said with a head tilt. Ah¡ why do I find her tilting her head to be such a cute action?¡ Avariena: ¡°Well, I was betting on that being the truth, so I rushed to her office. Unfortunately, she was nowhere to be found. But I managed to find this handgun in her desk.¡± I answer. Kaito: ¡°How lucky.¡± Kaito said with a small and cute giggle. After that small conversation, we headed into the town. Once in the town, a new problem occurred. And it starts with a Z¡ Avariena: ¡°Did it really have to be zombies?¡± I say in a quiet tone. Kaito: ¡°It seems so. Your handgun should be enough to deal with them, though.¡± Kaito replied. Avariena: ¡°True. But I have limited ammo.¡± I say with a sigh. I did use a decent amount of ammo on the small monsters already¡ Kaito: ¡°Then let¡¯s only use it when necessary.¡± Kaito said. Avariena: ¡°Alright. Where should we go first?¡± I ask. Kaito: ¡°From our vantage point on this hill, I¡¯d say that most of the town has been turned into zombies. We should raid a grocery store.¡± Kaito suggested. Right. I forgot to mention that we are currently on a hill. On the hill, we can basically see the entire town. Avariena: ¡°Okay. That¡¯s probably our best bet. I am hungry as well.¡± I reply. We then walked down the hill, and went into the town. By being very quiet and sneaky, we managed to not alert any zombies. Thirty minutes after arriving in town, we found a grocery store. Here¡¯s the weird thing, well, apart from the zombies, and this entire situation, I mean. This town, I knew the name of it. It was a town that was miles, and miles away from our school. How it ended up here, and how we were quickly able to make it to it, is something we do not know the answer to. Inside the store, there didn¡¯t seem to be any zombies inside it at all. Though, we don¡¯t know for sure. So we made sure to stay quiet. Avariena: ¡°What kind of food should we go for?¡± I ask in a hushed tone. Kaito: ¡°Fruit, or other types of food that we don¡¯t have to cook. I doubt that there will be power in this dimension.¡± Kaito replied in a quiet voice. With her suggestion, we went after energy bars, fruit, and other things like that. I filled up my schoolbag with food, and so did Kaito. With nothing else left to do, we decided to leave the store. But we were stopped¡ Find this and other great novels on the author''s preferred platform. Support original creators! ???: ¡°Who the hell do you think you two are? Stealing from my store!¡± A man yelled. He looked to be the manager of the store. Doesn¡¯t he know what kind of situation that we are in? Kaito: ¡°Why would stealing matter now? We¡¯re trapped in a pocket dimension.¡± Kaito said with an annoyed tone. ???: ¡°And that for some reason gives you the right to steal from me?¡± He yelled once again. Avariena: ¡°Sir, please, we will just take only this small bit. We need it to survive.¡± I say with a pleading tone. The man didn¡¯t respond, and instead, he walked over to one of the cash registers, and pulled the anti-theft alarm. A very loud alarm blared throughout the entire store. ???: ¡°I see that there will be no more paying customers, so why not just die? Oh, you two can die along with me.¡± The man said with a crazy laugh. This place will be swarmed by zombies in no time. As such, Kaito and I booked it to the back of the store. And went out the back door. There were already zombies appearing in the back, but most likely way less than at the front of the store. I shot the heads of the ones blocking our path, so that we could escape without getting hurt. I really, really, don¡¯t want to turn into a zombie. And I doubt that Kaito wants to either. With some zombies in tow, we kept running, and running. We ran for an entire hour, and only stopped once we didn¡¯t see any more zombies. Avariena: ¡°That was close¡¡± I say while trying to catch my breath. Kaito: ¡°Yes, it was. The man was crazy.¡± Kaito said with a sigh. Currently, we are hiding in a house. This area is a wealthy one, so there are fenced in houses. One of which we decided to hide in. Luckily, there weren¡¯t any zombies inside it. We made sure of that. We also made sure there weren¡¯t any other survivors. Lest something like earlier, with that store manager, happens to us once again. Avariena: ¡°I think that we need a better plan.¡± I say with a thinking pose. Kaito: ¡°A better plan will come to us tomorrow. Let¡¯s eat, and then head to sleep.¡± Kaito suggested. Hm¡ I guess eating isn¡¯t that bad of a plan¡ We both took out some of the food that we took from the grocery store. After eating an apple, and a few energy bars, I was somehow full. Maybe because I am in a very stressful situation? Who knows. Kaito went to the kitchen, and turned on the sink. Apparently, the hot water still worked. Kaito: ¡°Let¡¯s go take a shower before heading to bed.¡± Kaito said. Avariena: ¡°Alright, you go first.¡± I reply. Kaito: ¡°Surely you have watched many horror movies before, right? Splitting up, even for a second, is a bad idea. We¡¯ll take a shower together, and sleep on the same bed. Make sure you bring your gun with us.¡± Kaito said. With the way she said it, there really isn¡¯t any way for me to rebuke her decision. Splitting up is always a bad move in situations like this. So I took my handgun with me into the shower. Kaito was surprisingly not fazed at all by the prospect of taking a shower with me. I was honestly surprised¡ Kaito: ¡°What¡¯s the look for? Don¡¯t act like you haven¡¯t looked up porn before. Seeing a nude woman isn¡¯t something that special. Though, I¡¯ll admit, seeing such a cutie like you in the nude, is something very special.¡± Kaito said with a teasing tone. Avariena: ¡°¡¡± I spent the rest of the shower with a blushed face, and wasn¡¯t able to talk to Kaito at all. Look, I already know that I am a lesbian, and she isn¡¯t helping at all¡ It also didn¡¯t help that Kaito is stacked! Her breasts were at least a few cups above my own¡ Though, luckily, Kaito didn¡¯t tease me any more for the rest of the shower. We dried off together as well. Once dried, I realized that both of our uniforms are completely ruined¡ Kaito: ¡°Let¡¯s look around for some clothes.¡± Kaito suggested. Avariena: ¡°Good idea.¡± I reply. Walking around the house with only towels around our bodies, we eventually found some clothes to wear. It seems like a high-school girl lived here. Since there were clothes that someone our age would wear, and a few uniforms. Luckily, our lingerie wasn¡¯t ruined, so all we needed were clothes to go over them. Unfortunately, only the uniforms fit us. Well, the uniform fit me just fine. But Kaito complained that her dress shirt was tight around her chest. I wonder why¡ Anyway, we then went to the master bedroom. Of course, we made sure the house was completely locked up first. The bed was big enough for us easily. And we won¡¯t have to bunch up together. Kaito: ¡°We should get some sleep now. I am exhausted.¡± Kaito said with a sigh. Avariena: ¡°I am in the same boat.¡± I reply with a sigh of my own. We are currently lying down in the bed. I¡¯ll be honest, if it wasn¡¯t for this whole fucked up situation, I would be very nervous to sleep on the same bed with a beautiful woman like Kaito. Avariena: ¡°Well, goodnight, I guess.¡± I say. Kaito: ¡°Yes, goodnight to you as well. Don¡¯t have any nightmares.¡± Kaito said with a small laugh. I am living a nightmare right now, why would I need to dream about one? Ah, now her little joking comment made me slightly upset. Now it will be hard to go to sleep¡ Chapter 5: Kaito is way too Calm! Chapter 5: Kaito is way too Calm! *Avariena¡¯s POV* I woke up with a terrible feeling¡ Looking to my right, Kaito was dead. Her blood was soaking into the bed. I had no idea what to do. I was absolutely freaking out¡ I looked to the front of the bed, standing there, was a skeletal like grim reaper. It stared at me with glowing red eyes, and even without vocal cords, it released an evil laugh from its mouth. Then it used a scythe to cut my head off¡ Then I woke up again¡ This time, in my own bed. Checking my phone, it was the morning before we got trapped inside the pocket dimension. Pinching myself, I could tell that this wasn¡¯t a dream at all. For some reason, I have gone back in time. I just hope that Kaito came back as well. Even if she doesn¡¯t remember what happened. Just like every day, I prepared for school. I didn¡¯t mention what will happen at school to my mom, or to my maids. Why I am even still going, I have no idea. I remembered to pray to Ruina before leaving. Rather than just my normal prayer, I said this to her, ¡°Goddess Ruina; today my school will be engulfed into a door that wasn¡¯t closed in time. When I go to school, Sara will apologize to me, and then it will happen shortly after that. Why do I know this? I have no idea. I died in that pocket dimension, but then I came back to this morning.¡± In hopes that she actually hears my prayer. Well, I am not holding out for if she does. Even so, I¡¯ve been rambling this entire time, and now I am at school once again. The day played out just like normal. Sara talked to me, and said sorry. Instead of going to class, I went to principle Yuna¡¯s office. Luckily, it seems that Kaito still remembers what happened. How do I know that? Because she had the same idea. Kaito: ¡°So, you remember?¡± Kaito asked with a happy tone. Avariena: ¡°How could I forget? The memory of seeing your lifeless body, will haunt me for the rest of my life.¡± I say with a sad tone. Kaito then gave me a warm hug. Which was something only my mother has done for me before. It felt nice, almost nice enough to forget that memory. Once I calmed down, we checked Yuna¡¯s office. She wasn¡¯t in, it seems. Which explains why I didn¡¯t see her at all last time. Kaito: ¡°Well, if she isn¡¯t here, I guess we should just wait in her office until we get trapped again.¡± Kaito said with a thinking pose. Avariena: ¡°Why do you and I both want to stay? We know what will happen, we could easily just not go to school.¡± I say with a thinking pose of my own. Kaito: ¡°I know. It¡¯s just that, for some reason, I feel like I have to come to school, even though I know what will happen.¡± Kaito replied. Avariena: ¡°Do you think that we¡¯re special or something?¡± I ask with a curious tone. Kaito: ¡°Yes.¡± Kaito said with a nod of her head. Avariena: ¡°Why¡¯s that?¡± I ask with a head tilt. Kaito: ¡°I asked the students and the teachers. No one besides us actually remembers what happens today. Maybe we¡¯re supposed to do something, but just haven¡¯t figured it out yet?¡± Kaito said. Avariena: ¡°Maybe? It¡¯s hard to say. Whatever, let¡¯s get into her desk. We need her handgun and her box of ammo.¡± I say with a sigh. A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. I looked through her desk, oddly, her handgun and ammo were missing. Why!? There were here before¡ Now how will we defend ourselves? Kaito: ¡°Avariena, calm down. We can still survive even without her gun. We just have to be careful. Even if we die, there is a good chance that we will reset the day anyway.¡± Kaito said with an assured tone. Avariena: ¡°Is that really our only option?¡± I ask with a sigh. Kaito: ¡°Well, it¡¯s better than just dying permanently.¡± Kaito said with a shrug. I guess that is true¡ Well, we still decided to wait in Yuna¡¯s office. After waiting for an entire hour, the school was sucked into a pocket dimension once again. My only thoughts were, why is it different this time? Kaito: ¡°Avariena, it¡¯s different, right?¡± Kaito asked. Avariena: ¡°It definitely is¡¡± I say with a nervous tone. There were no fleshly walls, or anything disgusting like that. The school transformed into an old abandoned one. None of the lights worked at all. And it was pitch black. Kaito: ¡°It might be dark, but luckily, I brought a flashlight!¡± Kaito exclaimed. Avariena: ¡°Did you bring anything else with you?¡± I ask with a curious tone. Kaito: ¡°Just the essential survival items.¡± Kaito replied. Why do I feel like she is enjoying this far too much? Scratch that, she is definitely enjoying this entire situation. Why does she find this fun?¡ Kaito started to walk out of Yuna¡¯s office. So I didn¡¯t have the chance to ask her. She made sure to turn on her flashlight. Oh, she gave me a flashlight as well. So I turned mine on too. I was hesitant to let her lead, but she said that she would lead. I didn¡¯t want her to, since, the memory of her death, is still fresh on my mind. *Three hours later.* Kaito and I seem to be the ones with the most luck in this situation. Why? Well, we have come across various bodies of our fellow classmates. And even some teachers. And yet, we¡¯re still perfectly fine. At least, for now¡ I thought that everything was still going just fine, but then Kaito stopped walking. She then spoke to me, without turned around. Kaito: ¡°Avariena, I didn¡¯t want to tell you this, but a ghoul like little girl, has been floating behind you for an entire hour. I was hoping that she would go away¡ No! Don¡¯t turn around!¡± Kaito yelled. Unfortunately for me and Kaito, when she mentioned the ghost girl, I turned around right away. She then slashed at me with her nails. Kaito pulled me back, so only my chest was hurt. My chest had deep scratch marks on them, and was bleeding a decent amount of blood. Seeing this, Kaito grabbed my hand, and sprinted down the corridor. With the ghoul girl following us with great speed. Kaito guided us to an empty room, took out a bag of salt from her schoolbag, and sprinkled it at the door to the room. The salt, actually worked, and the ghost girl didn¡¯t try to get in at all. Avariena: ¡°To think that salt actually works.¡± I say with a sigh. Oddly, Kaito did not respond to my words, she just walked over to me, pulled my dress shirt open, and looked at my wound. Kaito: ¡°You got hurt¡ and it¡¯s my fault.¡± Kaito said with a sad tone. Avariena: ¡°No. It was my fault for turning around like an idiot.¡± I say with a shrug. Kaito then went into her bag, took out some petroleum jelly, and some painkillers, and even a bottle of water. She wasn¡¯t kidding about packing the essentials¡ I would call it lewd, but since we¡¯re in this situation, Kaito lathering the jelly onto my chest, wasn¡¯t something that aroused me. Despite how good I am acting, I am in a shit ton of pain. Kaito: ¡°Here, take two painkillers, they¡¯ll help.¡± Kaito offered. Avariena: ¡°Thanks.¡± I reply with a smile. It feels nice to have someone take care of you. After I finished taking the painkillers with a swig of water, Kaito got some food out of her bag for us to eat. Unfortunately, our break only lasted for a few minutes. Because that ghost girl showed up again. She broke through the windows, from the outside of the school building. This girl must have been the one to kill everyone in the school. Not monsters this time, just one extremely powerful one. It let out a loud screech, and Kaito and I were both completely stunned. It¡¯s not that we were too scared to move, we just were frozen in place. The ghost girl¡¯s screech seems to have some magic power behind it. Seemingly since I was the prey that got away, it lunged at me first. I couldn¡¯t move at all, but somehow, Kaito could. Kaito then jumped in front of me, and was impaled by the ghost girl¡¯s hand. It ripped out her heart, so she died quickly. Once again, I am forced to watch her die. I¡¯ve never been suicidal, but I don¡¯t see any reason to keep on living without her. So I just calmly walked over to the ghost girl. She then tossed Kaito¡¯s body away. Then she unhinged her jaw, and took a big bite out of my head. I clearly died from that. And yet, now I am back in my bed. And it was the morning before, once again. Will this nightmare ever end? I can¡¯t just not go to school. Even though she died twice, Kaito will go back. Her and I are drawn to this whole situation. As for why, I have no idea¡ I guess that we just have to try once again. Ah, let¡¯s just hope that I can actually save Kaito for once. Even if my attempt to do so, concludes with my own death¡ Chapter 6: A Better Plan is Needed! Chapter 6: A Better Plan is Needed! *Avariena¡¯s POV* I repeated the same morning once again. The only difference this time is that Sara stopped me from leaving. Sara: ¡°Avariena, wait! Ruina said to tell you, to look in the filing cabinet in Yuna¡¯s office. I¡¯m sorry, I have no idea what she means by this. Just don¡¯t get in trouble when you sneak into her office.¡± Sara explained. Then Sara walked away. What¡ Is Ruina actually trying to help me? That doesn¡¯t make any sense¡ Why would she know about me needing Yuna¡¯s handgun? Does that mean that she remembers that time keeps looping back to this morning, every time that I die? I have no idea¡ Anyway, I met up with Kaito once again, and told her about what Ruina said. We went to Yuna¡¯s office again as well. Inside the filing cabinet, was Yuna¡¯s handgun, and her box of ammo. Why the position of it changed, I have no idea. I loaded a round into the chamber, and put the ammo box into my schoolbag once again. Kaito: ¡°Well, at least we have a weapon this time.¡± Kaito said with a laugh. Avariena: ¡°True. But why are you so calm about this? You know, I have watched you die twice now¡¡± I say with a sad tone. Kaito: ¡°I see no reason to be not calm. Only if we stay calm, can we figure out how to survive. By the way, how many times have you looped?¡± Kaito asked. Avariena: ¡°This should be my third loop.¡± I answer. Kaito: ¡°Well, isn¡¯t that odd. This is my 18th loop.¡± Kaito said with a sigh. Avariena: ¡°Huh? How does that make any sense?¡± I ask with a confused tone. Kaito: ¡°My theory is that, whoever dies last, is the only one to remember the loop. Since you remembered, you must have died shortly after me. Ah, your last loop, was my last loop as well. I¡¯ve tried to run away with you many times, we always end up dying in some way. I am calm, since the only way to escape this nightmare, is to figure out how to survive this pocket dimension.¡± Kaito explained. Avariena: ¡°Then how did you remember Yuna¡¯s handgun in her office?¡± I ask. Kaito: ¡°You found me after your first loop, and convinced me that we would be trapped in a pocket dimension. I ended up believing you. But I died in that loop last, after you died. That¡¯s why I remembered to come to Yuna¡¯s office.¡± Kaito replied. Ah¡ know this situation is even more fucked up. Our knowledge on the loops is completely scattered. Though, why Kaito is so intent on protecting me, makes sense now. It¡¯s the same reason why I want to protect her. Because I don¡¯t want to see her die again¡ Avariena: ¡°I¡¯m sorry that I¡¯ve ended up dying more than you.¡± I say with a sigh. Kaito: ¡°We¡¯ve died the same number of times. We just don¡¯t remember all of our deaths. The main problem is that the pocket dimension is different each time we loop.¡± Kaito said with a sigh of her own. Avariena: ¡°Why are we even looping? As far as I am aware, we¡¯re just normal high school students¡¡± I say with a thinking pose. The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. Kaito: ¡°I have no idea.¡± Kaito said with a shrug. We waited in Yuna¡¯s office again. And then we were once again trapped in a pocket dimension. This time, it was, oddly, a world of candy. No, really. The walls and everything besides people were made out of candy. Avariena: ¡°I¡¯d advise against eating any of the candy.¡± I exclaim. Kaito: ¡°Never seen a candy dimension before, but yeah, eating it would most likely be a bad idea.¡± Kaito agreed. And we were correct. The students and teachers that ate the candy, ended up becoming mindless zombies. Not actual zombies, mind you. I guess it¡¯s more accurate to say that they all joined the same hive mind. Those that ate the candy, then forced others to eat it. Of course, that includes Kaito and I. I never thought that I would have to shoot my fellow students, but I had no choice in the matter. If neither me nor Kaito dies, we won¡¯t be able to loop. And I doubt whoever is at the center of this hive mind, wants us dead. As such, I had to shoot them. Kaito and I ran outside the school, the landscape wasn¡¯t different than last time. But once we walked a further bit away from the school, we went through some kind of barrier. Outside the barrier, the school no longer looked like candy. It was fleshly, just like the first time I entered this dimension¡ Kaito: ¡°So the candy was an illusion¡¡± Kaito said with thinking pose. Avariena: ¡°That means that they actually ate some disgusting flesh¡ Ah, I¡¯m going to be sick¡¡± I say while trying to resist throwing up. Kaito: ¡°Now what? Every loop that I remember, the dimension is always centered around the school. Now that we¡¯re out of it, what can we do?¡± Kaito asked. Avariena: ¡°Really? My first time here in this dimension, you and I ended up going to a town.¡± I say with a raised eyebrow. Does that mean that she has always gotten trapped in the school? That must suck¡ Kaito: ¡°Really? Then we should¡¡± Kaito said before she stopped her sentence. I was then pulled by her. Where I once stood, was a giant cleaver. Holding said cleaver, was a woman dressed as a chief. She had only one rotten eye, and was very tall. ???: ¡°You can¡¯t just escape like this, my little pretties. You must stay in dream land, before I am ready to use you for ingredients.¡± She said with an evil laugh following her last sentence. I took aim at her only eye, and shot it. She reacted violently. Thrashing around the entire time. It was hard, but I managed to shoot her head once more. After shooting her head a total of eight times, it was all mush, and she didn¡¯t move any longer. If I was stupid, I would think that she is dead. Kaito: ¡°Good job Avariena, you actually killed her!¡± Kaito praised. Ah, I am sorry for insulting you by accident in my own head¡ Avariena: ¡°Your praise is nice, but I doubt that she is really dead.¡± I say with a small giggle. Kaito: ¡°Why not?¡± Kaito asked with a head tilt. Ah¡ how cute. Avariena: ¡°Everyone seemed to be trapped in a hive mind. I think that she might be able to switch bodies with them.¡± I explain. ???: ¡°You¡¯re quite right, deary. Now, you do realize how many substitute bodies I have access to, right? Just willingly join us!¡± She yelled. Damn¡ she took no time at all to come back to us. Killing her would be pointless, so we just ran, and ran. We ran so much that I eventually collapsed onto the ground. I looked up at Kaito, and she had a grim look on her face¡ Kaito then took out my handgun from my schoolbag, and put it to her head. Avariena: ¡°Kaito¡ what are you doing!?¡± I yell. Kaito: ¡°You¡¯ve died too many times for me. It¡¯s only fair that you remember this loop.¡± Kaito said with a small laugh. And then she shot and killed herself. I do not wish to describe what her body looked like. I just picked up the handgun from her hand, and shot myself in the head with it. I woke up, once again, in my bed. I did not get up. I just laid there and cried. I do not even remember how much I cried. All I know is that I was extremely hurt by what happened. Dying from getting killed by a stupid monster, is one thing. Killing yourself is another. Sure, I let that ghost girl kill me, but I honestly had no chance of surviving it, anyway. We could have come up with a plan, we just had to survive longer. But Kaito decided to save me, well, this me. The one who actually remembers her sacrifice. I can¡¯t even yell at her for this later. She won¡¯t remember it at all. Ah¡ this is going to drive me insane. The amount of therapy that I will need after this is all over, will cost a fortune. For the first time in my life, I will be late for school. I just need more time, before I can face Kaito again... Chapter 7: Kaitos Side. Chapter 7: Kaito''s Side. *Avariena¡¯s POV* Though I was late, it was only by ten minutes. Now I was back at school. Once again¡ How many more times will I have to even deal with this stupid nightmare? What crime did Kaito and I commit to have to go through this? Once again, I met up with Kaito near Yuna¡¯s office. Kaito: ¡°Avariena? What¡¯s wrong?¡± Kaito asked with a worrying tone. Avariena: ¡°This is my fourth loop. Last time, you told me about how you¡¯ve looped eighteen times already. In that loop, you took my handgun, and used it to kill yourself.¡± I say with tears rolling down my face. I can¡¯t remember the last time that I¡¯ve cried like this. I didn¡¯t plan on crying, it¡¯s just what happened when I started to explain myself to Kaito. Kaito then gave me a hug, and rubbed my head as I cried. *Kaito¡¯s POV* Ah, I am such a horrible person to make Avariena cry like this. Though I do not remember what she told me, I know that it did actually happen. Otherwise, she wouldn¡¯t be crying like this. Whatever happened in that loop, it must have been impossible for us to survive. I love Avariena. Though she doesn¡¯t know this. This all happened many loops ago. I told her that I¡¯ve only looped eighteen times. But that was a lie. If we count the loop that Avariena remembers, I¡¯ve looped around 685 times already. On one school morning, Avariena approached me, and told me about how we will be trapped in a pocket dimension. I did not believe her at first, but what she said started to make sense to me the more I thought about it. Something like this happening isn¡¯t really that rare, so I went along with her. And it turns out that she wasn¡¯t lying, or crazy. Avariena ended up protecting me, and dying in that loop. I died shortly after her. I then woke up in my bed. And it was the morning before all of this happened. She had told me about Yuna¡¯s handgun, so the first thing that I did when I made it to school, was head to the principles office. Avariena showed up shortly after I arrived. She felt different. Like she didn¡¯t remember the last loop. Actually, I was sure that she didn¡¯t. If she did, she wouldn¡¯t have been surprised that the dimension changed. She told what her first loop was like, and my first time that I remember in the pocket dimension, was different from it. It was a grab bag on how long we would survive. Sometimes only a few hours, sometimes days, or even weeks. One thing was a constant. Avariena always sacrificed herself for me. A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. She has died for me well over 600 times¡ And yet, I¡¯ve only died for her three times. It goes without saying, I love her. And many of the loops that I remember, we have fallen in love in most of them. Avariena doesn¡¯t remember this. She most likely barely even knows me. But to me, she is the only reason why I even bother coming back to school, and going through this nightmare. Regardless if she doesn¡¯t remember, I still wish to be with her. I want to want to hold her in my arms, I want to kiss her, I want to marry her. But that is something that can only be done once with figure this situation out. Though, I am glad that my last few deaths, were me saving her. I had a terrible thought, what if she ends up going through seeing me die, a hundred times, like I have seen her die. Surely, she would fall in love with me as well, right? Kaito: ¡°Avariena, I¡¯m sorry, but if we are to figure this out, you need to survive last. I have more knowledge on this situation than you do. Since I¡¯ve died last more than you. Please, if I need to die to let you remember, I¡¯ll do it as many times as I can.¡± I say while rubbing her head. Avariena: ¡°But¡¡± She said with a shaky voice. Kaito: ¡°Please?¡± I plead. Avariena: ¡°Fine.¡± She said with a sad expression and tone. While we were doing that, it seems that we spent so much time, that we were trapped in a pocket dimension once again. This time, the school looked to be normal. That was unless you looked closely at any corner. There was a slightly invisible monster in one of the corners of Yuna¡¯s office. Avariena didn¡¯t notice it, but I did. So I took the handgun out of her bag, flicked off the safety, and shot at the monster. I managed to hit its head, killing it. I worship Ruina as well, so the bullets were super effective. All of these loops have made me really good at using firearms. Since Avariena has taught me how to use them. How she knows how to use firearms so well, I haven¡¯t had the chance to ask. Casual conversations don¡¯t really happen in situations like this. I went over to the monster to make sure that it was dead. It was. I then looked to Avariena with a smile on my face. A smile that quickly went away. As her head was being munched on by one of the monsters. I was too confident, and didn¡¯t see it at all¡ Avariena was dead once again. As such, there is no reason for me to go on with this loop any further. I shot the monster that killed her. But not it¡¯s head. I wanted to torture this piece of shit. And I did just that. While it was riving on the floor, with multiple bullet wounds, I loaded more ammo into my handguns mag, before reloading it. I then unloaded the entire mag, besides one bullet for me, into the monster. It was now dead. Something that brings me no joy. I went over to Avariena body, and knelt down to touch her. Kaito: ¡°I was careless, I¡¯m sorry. I¡¯ll make sure to die first next time.¡± I say while holding her lifeless hand. While still holding her hand, and with tears running down my face, I took my handgun, put it to my head, and pulled the trigger. I was once again, back in my room. And it was that same fateful day. Sitting up in my bed, I begin to think. Should I really keep dying for her? I am not saying this like I don¡¯t love her. I¡¯ve only died for her a few times, and yet, she is so shaken up by it. Maybe I should focus on trying to figure out how we survive this situation? As you would expect, watching Avariena die so many times, as well as seeing so many other people die, has greatly affected my mental health. If her I die for her, she will remember another loop. But¡ I can¡¯t just let her die¡ I should come clean, no matter how many times I have to do so, it¡¯s not fair that she doesn¡¯t know. I will also tell her my feelings. Today, she will think that I killed myself, so that she could survive last. Ah¡ this whole thing is so frustrating! Surely, there is a way out, right?¡ Chapter 8: Can... Can we Finally Make a plan now? Chapter 8: Can... Can we Finally Make a plan now? *Avariena¡¯s POV* Ah¡ I sat up in bed, knowing that I was going to cry, and yet, the tears didn¡¯t come to me at all... Surely, Kaito died first the last loop, right? And I should be bawling my eyes out over this, right? No¡ I can tell that this is a different loop. Since I don¡¯t remember, I must have died first, before Kaito. I need to get to school, so that I can ask her this. So I just skipped breakfast. I might just quickly die anyway. I didn¡¯t bother to talk to Sara either, I just booked it straight to Yuna¡¯s office. Kaito was already there, waiting for me. We both went into her office, so that we won¡¯t be disturbed. Avariena: ¡°Kaito, I have something to tell you.¡± I say with a serious tone. Kaito: ¡°I have something to tell you as well.¡± Kaito said with a serious tone as well. Avariena: ¡°Somehow, yours seems to be more important, so I¡¯ll go first. Anyway, you died last, in the last loop, right?¡± I ask. Kaito: ¡°That¡¯s right. So you don¡¯t remember it. Now, Avariena, I lied about how many times that I have looped.¡± Kaito said with a serious tone. Avariena: ¡°What do you mean?¡± I ask with a confused expression. Kaito: ¡°I have looped well over 600 times. Each time, you sacrificed yourself for me. While I¡¯ve barely been able to sacrifice myself for you.¡± Kaito answered. Looping time that many times would make anyone crazy¡ How she is even standing here, looking so strong, after looping this many times, is something that amazes me greatly. Avariena: ¡°¡¡± Kaito: ¡°Avariena, I know this is wrong of me to say, but some loops went for as long as weeks. In many loops that I remember, we both fall in love we each other. I have looped so many times, and the only reason I can keep going, is because you¡¯re with me. And that I love you. I know that you don¡¯t love me right now, since you do not remember all of those loops, but I still love you.¡± Kaito said with tears streaming down her face as she hugged me. Have you ever considered fate to be a real, tangible thing? Well, I do now. Yeah, I don¡¯t remember, but I still love her. It¡¯s like, she is already a part of my soul. How could I not love her? The author''s content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. Though, I find it funny that I was the one to protect her all this time. I guess that I am better at protecting people than I originally first thought. Now I know why she is so calm. This has happened hundreds of times. Which was why she always just stayed calm, even with the world around us being a nightmare. After she finished crying, we were already trapped in a pocket dimension once again. She then looked up at me, with a sad look on her face. Avariena: ¡°What¡¯s wrong?¡± I ask with a warm tone. Kaito: ¡°What isn¡¯t wrong? Though, I have a really bad idea.¡± Kaito said with a shaky voice. She then reached into her schoolbag, and took out¡ a grenade!? Where the fuck did Kaito get that something like that, in fucking Japan!? Kaito: ¡°I wonder, if we both die at the same time, maybe we will both remember?¡± Kaito said with an unsure tone. Avariena: ¡°I already hear the screams, so it¡¯s worth a shot. Tell me your phone number first before we die. My number is xxx-xxx-xxxx. Oh, right. I love you too. Even though I don¡¯t remember, I can still feel my love for you.¡± I say with a smile. Kaito: ¡°That¡ that makes me so happy! And my number is xxx-xxx-xxxx.¡± Kaito said with a bright smile. There was no reason to put our numbers into our phones right now. Since we will just loop anyway. With hope that we will both remember, we pull the pin on the grenade together, and then we kissed each other. The grenade went off quickly after we started kissing. Surprisingly, it was the most painless death that I remember. Double suicide, huh? Yeah, we both will need therapy after this is over. But we will be there to support each other through it. And, yes, I remember! As long as we die at the same time, which is easier said than done, we both will remember. At least, I hope so. I haven¡¯t asked Kaito yet. Thinking that, I put her number into my phone, and messaged her. I would have like to call her, but if my maids hear me talking about time looping, I¡¯ll probably be sent to the hospital to get my head checked¡ Avariena: ¡°Do you remember our last loop?¡± Kaito: ¡°I do. Please tell me that you remember as well. What we died from, it started with a G.¡± Avariena: ¡°Funny. We did a lover¡¯s suicide with a grenade. Where the hell did you even get that, anyway?¡± Kaito: ¡°Yes! You finally remember! I love you so much!¡± Avariena: ¡°I love you too! Now, grenade, where get?¡± Kaito: ¡°It was given to me as a special gift.¡± Avariena: ¡°Now you¡¯re just messing with me¡¡± Kaito: ¡°No, really! My Goddess, Ruina, gave me it in the last loop.¡± Avariena: ¡°Really? What the fuck¡¡± Kaito: ¡°I guess that she remembers each loop?¡± Avariena: ¡°If so, why can¡¯t she just help us with it?¡± Kaito: ¡°I have no idea. See you at school, my nightmare hellscape girlfriend!¡± Avariena: ¡°See ya there, though, I don¡¯t recall us dating.¡± Kaito: ¡°We dated in many loops.¡± Avariena: ¡°Cool.¡± Once again, at school, and I just straight to Yuna¡¯s office as well. I feel like a speedrunner, or something. Except, I¡¯m not speedrunning a game, but a nightmare. Kaito: ¡°So, what fresh hell do you think that we¡¯ll experience today?¡± Kaito asked with a cheeky tone. Avariena: ¡°Nothing fun, I assume.¡± I say with a sigh. We then both walked right into Yuna¡¯s office. And then I took her handgun out of her filing cabinet¡ Nope! Instead, what awaited us in her office, was the women herself. Principle Yuna¡ Chapter 9: Principle Yuna. Chapter 9: Principle Yuna. *Avariena¡¯s POV* I was really surprised by her being here. She hasn¡¯t shown up at all, regardless of the loops that I¡¯ve been to. Going by Kaito¡¯s reaction, she also hasn¡¯t seen her in any loop either. Yuna: ¡°Fucking finally!¡± Yuna exclaimed. Wow¡ this is the first time I have ever heard her swear¡ Avariena: ¡°Um¡ what do you mean, principle?¡± I ask with a confused tone. Yuna: ¡°Don¡¯t ¡°principle¡± me! Use your heads! You two should easily guess that I am the Goddess Ruina!¡± Yuna said with an annoyed tone. Kaito: ¡°So, you really were a Goddess? Should we call you Yuna or Ruina?¡± Kaito asked. Yuna: ¡°Just Yuna is fine. Now, back to why I am annoyed, do you two realize how long I have waited for you two to die together?¡± Yuna asked. Avariena: ¡°Over 600 times, I think.¡± I reply. Yuna: ¡°Right! Now that you¡¯ve died together, your loops have merged. Which means that you both will remember each loop now, regardless of who dies last.¡± Yuna explained. Kaito: ¡°And why were you waiting for that?¡± Kaito asked with a confused expression. Yuna: ¡°Because it was impossible to talk to you two. As you two killed yourselves, I killed myself at the same time as well. Which means that I am also part of the loop now. Though I remember each loop, I couldn¡¯t do anything about it.¡± Yuna said with a sigh. Avariena: ¡°Why not?¡± I ask with a head tilt. Yuna: ¡°Like a pocket dimension, each of your loops were closed off timelines. That I could not effect at all. Now I can actually talk to you two.¡± Yuna replied. Kaito: ¡°So, how do we stop this loop?¡± Kaito asked with a serious tone. Yuna: ¡°I have no idea.¡± Yuna said with a shrug. What!? Not even our Goddess knows what to do? How the fuck are we, who are just normal high-school students, supposed to figure this shit out!? Yuna: ¡°Ah, don¡¯t look at me like I am useless. This door, despite what you might think, is not near the school. It is in the center of the earth. When it breaks apart, it engulfs the entire planet. And when that happens, all of us higher beings, lose pretty much all of our powers. No, I have no idea why you two loop.¡± Yuna explained. Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site. Avariena: ¡°So you won¡¯t be able to help us?¡± I ask with a nervous tone. Yuna: ¡°Would I really go through all of this effort, if I couldn¡¯t help you? Some mortals say that they got caught up in the higher beings games. This is basically correct. The doors, just think of them as dungeons. To win, and to get rewards, you must destroy the dungeon heart, or core.¡± Yuna explained with a serious tone. Kaito: ¡°Wouldn¡¯t the core just be in the center of the earth?¡± Kaito asked. Yuna: ¡°No. For reasons that I do not understand, the core is always in this very school. You fools kept somehow missing the core in the school. Avariena, do you remember your first time in this pocket dimension?¡± Yuna asked. Oh? It¡¯s in the school¡ That helps. But how the fuck do we even find it? Ah, I should probably reply to my Goddess. Avariena: ¡°I do.¡± I reply. Yuna: ¡°Okay, then you remember that the school melted, right? If only you just waited for a few more minutes, you could have found the core, and stopped this entire stupid loop.¡± Yuna said with an annoyed tone. Fuck¡ was I really that close? Damn¡ that really sucks. If only I waited, then Kaito wouldn¡¯t have had to suffer this much¡ Kaito: ¡°Hey, there is no use in making her upset over something she can¡¯t change.¡± Kaito said with a stern tone. Girl¡ you do realize that you are being rude to a Goddess, right? And she is OUR Goddess as well¡ Yuna: ¡°You¡¯re right. Sorry, Avariena. I was rude for no reason. Now, please you two, just find the core. Us higher beings are fed up with dealing with this endless time loop. Ah, the door is about to break apart once again. Once that happens, you won¡¯t be able to see me anymore.¡± Yuna said. Avariena: ¡°Why not?¡± I ask with a curious tone. Yuna: ¡°Because I will be going into my soul form. I am even weaker than a normal human in this pocket dimension, so I have to protect myself.¡± Yuna replied. The world shook, and then Yuna was nowhere to be found. You know¡ it¡¯s really fucked up that we, the two mortals, have to solve this problem for the higher beings. Kaito: ¡°I feel like she didn¡¯t really help us at all¡¡± Saying this with a sigh, Kaito went over to Yuna¡¯s filing cabinet, and took out Yuna¡¯s handgun, before handing it to me. Avariena: ¡°Why give me the handgun? You¡¯ve survived longer than me¡¡± I say with an unsure tone. Kaito: ¡°I only survived because you protected me. It¡¯s better for you to have the gun, you¡¯re better with it than me.¡± Kaito said with a chuckle. Avariena: ¡°I guess¡ So, should we look for the core now?¡± I ask. Kaito: ¡°We can just keep trying to matter how many times it takes, so, we shouldn¡¯t worry about dying. Besides, we will both remember this loop anyway.¡± Kaito said with a shrug. Right¡ I mean, I understand why she is so nonchalant about this, but she could at least try to come up with a plan. We haven¡¯t had a SINGLE plan, besides, just SURVIVE! Kaito: ¡°Don¡¯t look at me like that. We have had plans before, they also end up with our deaths.¡± Kaito said while rubbing my head. Ah¡ that felt nice. I need to ask her to do that for me another time¡ Looking at the school, it was once again looking like an old abandoned school. The sounds of screams were coming from the left wing of the school, so Kaito and I went toward the sound of their screaming. It was likely that it was the ghost girl once again. Though, I honestly have no idea if it will be her. I wish it would be. Having to deal with a monster that we already know about, will work greatly in our favor. Let¡¯s just hope that luck will be on our side this time¡ Chapter 10: Second Attempt. Chapter 10: Second Attempt. *Avariena¡¯s POV* We came to classroom A2. There was blood and gore everywhere. And surprise, surprise, the same ghost girl, was sitting down on a desk, eating the body of one of our fellow students. She looked to be enjoying herself¡ Do humans even taste that good? That is a question that I have no intention on finding out the answer. Kaito and I were quiet, so it hasn¡¯t noticed us just yet. Taking aim with my handgun, I shot her head. She staggered a little bit. Once she stopped shaking around, she looked at me with a pissed off expression, but I still shot her in the head again. Annoyingly, this wasn¡¯t enough to kill her. She would regenerate her head each time that I shot it off. She then lunged at me, but I managed to dodge her. Kaito dodged her attack as well. Kaito: ¡°I don¡¯t think that it''s zombies rules with this girl, Avariena. Most of the monsters we¡¯ve faced, requires you to destroy their heart.¡± Kaito explained quickly. Damn¡ I wish I knew that before I wasted so many rounds on her head¡ Oh well. Instead of her head, I shot her chest this time. The result? Fucker was still alive¡ Avariena: ¡°Well, that didn¡¯t work. What now?¡± I ask. Kaito: ¡°Maybe this isn¡¯t her real body?¡± Kaito said after dodging the ghost girl once again. Avariena: ¡°And where would her actual body be?¡± I ask. Kaito: ¡°I have no idea. We should just give up trying to kill her, and try to find the dungeon core.¡± Kaito replied. Avariena: ¡°Good idea¡ Kaito!¡± I yell. Out of nowhere, another ghost girl showed up behind Kaito. It then cut her head off in one swipe of her hand. I was ready to die with her, but I ended up waking up back in my room in the next second¡ That was weird¡ Only she died, not me. Shit¡ did our Goddess scam us? I grabbed my phone and messaged Kaito. Avariena: ¡°What the heck happened?¡± Kaito: ¡°What do you mean? A new ghost that was invisible, appeared behind me, and then killed me.¡± Avariena: ¡°I know. I mean that, I didn¡¯t die, but we still looped back to this morning.¡± If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. Kaito: ¡°Are you sure that you didn¡¯t just die quickly? I don¡¯t remember feeling any pain at all when I died this time.¡± Avariena: ¡°Let¡¯s ask Yuna.¡± Rather than go with my driver, Kaito picked me up in her own car. It seems like she has her own driver¡¯s license as well. Since she was the one driving. Kaito: ¡°You know, we have never really talked about our family situations.¡± Kaito said while carefully driving us to school. Avariena: ¡°My mom is very rich, and she loves and treats me dearly.¡± I reply. Kaito: ¡°Ah, that¡¯s good! My mom treats me well too!¡± Kaito said with a smile. Avariena: ¡°Why bring it up now?¡± I ask. Kaito: ¡°I was wondering if us bring up our relationship to our mothers, would actually work out, or not.¡± Kaito replied. Avariena: ¡°I don¡¯t think that my mom would be against us being together.¡± I reply. Kaito: ¡°Mine would accept our relationship as well.¡± Kaito said with a bright tone. We spent the rest of the drive just happily chatting. For me, this was a welcome change to how we usually spend our time together. You know, it¡¯s hard to have heartfelt conversations, when you¡¯re in a situation where you can die at any moment. Rather than head to any other part of the school, we just went straight to Yuna¡¯s office. Honestly, I have become far too used to this. Readopting to heading to class instead of her office, will be an annoyance¡ Though, it would be a welcomed one. Yuna: ¡°Oh come on! That was the shortest loop by far!¡± Yuna complained. Kaito: ¡°Not our fault. You saw what happened. Now, why is it when I died, Avariena died as well?¡± Kaito asked with a serious tone. Yuna: ¡°She didn¡¯t. You twos mental states fall apart once one of you dies. So, I just killed myself, which killed Avariena. A very painless death for her.¡± Yuna explained. Avariena: ¡°So¡ we¡¯re linked to you?¡± I ask with a nervous tone. Yuna: ¡°That¡¯s correct. It was the only way for you two to remember each loop, regardless of who dies first.¡± Yuna replied. Kaito: ¡°I feel like you left out something very important. Is there anything else that we should know about?¡± Kaito asked with a serious tone. Yuna: ¡°Hm¡ apart from that, you two won¡¯t age at all.¡± Yuna replied. What? That¡¯s something that we should have been told! Oh well, it¡¯s actually a benefit to us anyway. Yuna: ¡°Does that answer all of your questions? Good. Now, please just destroy the dungeon core. I really, really, want to get out of this loop now.¡± Yuna asked with a pleading tone. In the next second, she was gone. Which was weird, since it didn¡¯t feel like we got trapped in the pocket dimension¡ It looked basically normal. Avariena: ¡°Any idea what the theme of this one will be?¡± I ask with a curious tone. Look, if Kaito can stay calm in this situation, then so can I! Kaito: ¡°Fuck¡ we might as well just kill ourselves¡¡± Kaito said with a sigh. Avariena: ¡°Um¡ explain? I¡¯ve never seen you give up before.¡± I ask with a shocked expression and tone. Kaito: ¡°If I am guessing this correctly, the theme, as you called it, is a death game.¡± She said with a grim tone. Avariena: ¡°What kind of death game? Maybe we can win it?¡± I ask. Kaito: ¡°No chance. We¡¯ve had this theme 80 times. As you would guess, we can never win. It¡¯s rigged.¡± Kaito explained. Yuna: ¡°Kaito is correct. Sorry girls, this loop is a bust as well. Let¡¯s reset, shall we?¡± Yuna said, after appearing out of nowhere. And then, I was back in my room. Fuuuuuuuuuuuck! Can we just have some actual good fucking luck!? The past few loops have been just completely impossible to fucking do! Aaaah! I am going to have a stroke! Chapter 11: This Time... Maybe? Chapter 11: This Time... Maybe? *Avariena¡¯s POV* Annoyed that our Goddess just spawn killed us, I grabbed my phone, and was intent on complaining to Kaito about this. Unfortunately for me, the next second after I grabbed my phone, I was in Yuna¡¯s office. And so was Kaito. Thankfully, we had our uniforms on, and we also had our schoolbags. Most likely thanks to Yuna. Which, was really good. My nightgown barely covers anything. I would die from embarrassment if Kaito saw me in it. Wait¡ we have actually already seen each other naked before¡ Yuna: ¡°Avariena, snap out of it.¡± Yuna said. Avariena: ¡°Huh? Oh, sorry.¡± I say with an embarrassed tone. Kaito: ¡°Yuna, what the fuck? You can¡¯t just kill us like that!¡± Kaito yelled. Yuna: ¡°I can, and I will, whenever you two can¡¯t complete this door. Look, isn¡¯t it better for me to kill you two? You don¡¯t feel any pain, since I am the one dying for you.¡± Yuna replied with a shrug. I mean¡ I guess that she has a point. Dying fucking sucks. And dying in a messed up way sucks more. We¡¯re still annoyed, though¡ Kaito: ¡°Fucking fine¡ Just give us a warning next time.¡± Kaito said with a sigh. Yuna: ¡°I thought that I gave enough of a warning last time... Oh well, I¡¯ll just give you two more of a heads up next time.¡± Yuna replied. Since Yuna has made us appear in school faster than we usually show up, we had nothing better to do than just talk to Yuna. From what Kaito and I have noticed, she seems to be hiding something from us. As for what she is hiding, we have no idea. An undisclosed amount of time later, we were trapped once again. And what fucking luck! I was sure it was the fucking ghost girl yet again. Kaito: ¡°Avariena, you hear the screams, right? Let¡¯s just not even bother with the ghost. It¡¯s fucked up, but letting it kill the faculty, and other students, will give us plenty of time to look around for the core.¡± Kaito explained. Avariena: ¡°Okay, good idea. I am not keen on dying quickly again.¡± I say with a confident tone. *Many, many hours later.* Well¡ fuck. We have searched the entire school, and we still haven¡¯t found the core. The ghost girl has long since killed everyone else. At this point, it¡¯s just Kaito and I. Having to dodge its attacks is very annoying. Luckily, after we dodge it enough times, it gets pissed off, and floats away somewhere else. Kaito: ¡°It¡¯s gone now. Is there any place that we haven¡¯t checked yet?¡± Kaito asked. Avariena: ¡°What about the roof? We haven¡¯t checked it yet.¡± I reply. Kaito: ¡°Alright, let¡¯s head to the roof. We¡¯re actually close to the entrance of it.¡± She replied. Oh, she¡¯s right, we¡¯re close to it. How funny¡ Anyway, it only took us a few minutes to make it to the roof. On top of the roof, was fucking nothing¡ Not! There was a red crystal on the roof. If that isn¡¯t the core, I have no idea what is! Kaito: ¡°Avariena, shoot it quickly!¡± Kaito yelled. I took out my handgun, and shot the core. It, did, not, shatter¡ What the fuck? Avariena: ¡°It¡¯s no use, my bullets won¡¯t work, Kaito¡¡± I say with a sad tone. A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. Looking back at Kaito, she was being held up by her neck. It was not the ghost girl, but a woman with dark red hair. I could tell that Kaito was being choked to death. Without thinking about anything else besides her safety, I shot the woman. Like the dungeon core, my bullets did nothing at all. The woman then snapped Kaito¡¯s neck, before carefully putting her lifeless body on the ground. Oddly, Yuna did not give us a quick death this time¡ From me being in shock from watching Kaito die once again, I didn¡¯t even notice the woman until she was right in front of me. Like Yuna, I could tell that she is a higher being. Maybe even a Goddess. She reached out with her hand, and gently rubbed my head. ???: ¡°Child, I am Hestia. I¡¯m sorry about your girlfriend, but you¡¯ll see her again in your next loop. Your ¡°Goddess¡± has tricked you. She has played with you and your girlfriends lives like a pawns on a chessboard. Demand answers from her, otherwise, this loop will never end.¡± She said with a warm tone. The next second, she killed me. Though, I was given a quicker death than how she killed Kaito. Not even in my room this time, Kaito and I are in Yuna¡¯s office. Kaito: ¡°Oddly, even though I died, I remember what that woman told Avariena. Yuna, what the hell are you hiding?¡± Kaito asked with an angry tone. Yuna did not reply right away. She seemed to be lost in thought. Either thinking about how she will tell us the truth, or thinking of ways to mislead us yet again. Yuna: ¡°We¡¯re damned.¡± She said with a serious tone. Kaito: ¡°What do you mean?¡± She asked. Yuna: ¡°The door, I hid it in the earth¡¯s core, so that no one else could find it. I was curious on what would happen. Yes, this whole situation happened due to my curiosity, and due to my experiment.¡± Yuna explained. Avariena: ¡°What does that mean for us?¡± I ask. Yuna: ¡°I lied.¡± She said. Yuna then changed her appearance completely. She no longer looked like our principle at all. It was more likely that she actually isn¡¯t. Yuna: ¡°I am not Yuna, nor am I Ruina. Though, I am a Goddess. You both worshiping Ruina, and your principle worshiping her as well, was just a perfect storm for me. My real name is Mana.¡± She said with an evil tone. Fuck¡ fuck. Fuuuuuuuuck! Sure, to you, her real name means nothing. But to Kaito and I, we knew who she was. The banished destroyer. She destroyed this world once, and we only survived because the higher beings saved us. We have been played this entire time. This isn¡¯t even our world, she dragged us into her hell. I bet that we¡¯re currently asleep, or in the hospital. Dammit! I should have known that Ruina wouldn¡¯t bother to help me. Wait¡ now that I think about it, Sara, I never saw her body at all. It must have been a fake, created by Mana. The rest are probably fakes as well¡ Kaito: ¡°Are we dead? Did you kill us, and drag us here?¡± Kaito yelled. Look! Kaito figured it out as well! Mana¡¯s appearance is well known, even to us mortals. She has deep blue hair, and similarly colored eyes. Mana: ¡°You¡¯re both sleeping soundly in your beds. I just temporarily brought your souls here. You might not want to, but, please help me. Your world was almost destroyed by me a few years ago. But to me, that was hundreds of thousands of years ago¡ I can¡¯t take this torture anymore.¡± Mana pleaded. So¡ that¡¯s why she lost so much of her power. And why the entire loop was terribly set up. Kaito: ¡°Why couldn¡¯t we see you until recently?¡± She asked. Mana: ¡°Because I was desperate, and don¡¯t have much power, I was only able to bring you two to this dimension. But your and my loops were separated. Now that our souls are connected, our loops happen at the same time.¡± She replied. Avariena: ¡°That so? You haven¡¯t given us any reason to help you at all.¡± I say with a fed-up tone. Mana: ¡°Support! I¡¯ll support you two forever! No matter how many times your soul reincarnates, I will always support you. I destroyed your world once, I am the most powerful being in existence! I swear on my entire being, I promise you two this. Look, I¡¯ll even explain this to every fucking higher being, and mortal in your world. They will know what you two went through!¡± She pleaded once again. At this point, Mana was on her knees, and she was sobbing a lot. It was actually hard to see such a powerful being cry like this¡ Kaito: ¡°Your crying seems real enough, but I think that you¡¯re still hiding something from us.¡± Kaito said with a serious tone. Mana: ¡°You two¡ you can¡¯t leave. Our souls are connected. Only when I am free, will you two be free. That woman that killed you two, she is my mother. Why did I pretend to be Ruina? Because she is my sister. So I can easily make myself look like her if I want to.¡± Mana replied. Kaito: ¡°What about the door?¡± She asked. Mana: ¡°My experiment was how I destroyed your world. If you remember correctly, their fix was reverting time back to before I did that. But keeping everyone¡¯s memory. This is a separate dimension, which is an exact copy of when I did my experiment.¡± Mana explained. Avariena: ¡°She is telling the truth, unfortunately.¡± I say with a sigh. We then sat down and talked to Mana. We need more information on how to deal with this situation. Now is the best time to do so. She has lost all of her cards, and she needs our help. So she has to be honest with us. Now we just have to hope that we can actually solve this problem¡ Chapter 12: Solution. Chapter 12: Solution. *Avariena¡¯s POV* Talking to Mana was an exhausting endeavor. It was like she had a predisposition to not say the truth, or at least hide parts of it. If we wanted the full truth, we had to ask her many different questions, just to answer one question fully. Kaito: ¡°The most important question of ours, how do we solve this door?¡± Kaito asked. Mana: ¡°The core must be destroyed. Which was my punishment. Only when it is destroyed, can I leave this hell. It cannot be destroyed by physical means.¡± She explained. Avariena: ¡°Then why did you advise us to destroy it?¡± I ask with an annoyed tone. Mana: ¡°I was told that it can¡¯t be destroyed like that. But I never had the chance to actually test it out. Now I know that it can¡¯t be destroyed via physical attacks. It can only be destroyed when the will of the pocket dimension is destroyed.¡± She answered. Kaito: ¡°Mana¡ that¡¯s even more vague.¡± She said with a sigh. Mana: ¡°It¡¯s simple, just kill every monster.¡± She replied. Every monster? Like, in the entire fucking world? Even if we could do that with a handgun, we barely have enough ammo as it is¡ Ah, right. If you¡¯re wondering why our principle had a handgun, she didn¡¯t. The ammo and the handgun, were stolen by Mana. Mana: ¡°Those looks that you¡¯re giving me don¡¯t give me much confidence¡¡± She said with a sigh. Avariena: ¡°How are we supposed to deal with every monster in the whole world?¡± I ask. Mana: ¡°Monsters only appear near the core. So it won¡¯t be the entire world.¡± She replied. Well¡ that makes our job easier. But it¡¯s still a very difficult job regardless. We wanted to ask Mana more things, but she disappeared. Which means that the pocket dimension opened up once again. I don¡¯t know if her mother is messing with us, or something like that. Why? Because this theme was the same stupid fucking ghost girl one. Kaito: ¡°Shall we try to get revenge once again?¡± She asked with a smile. Avariena: ¡°The students and teachers are just fakes, so instead of going to them, we should look for the ghost girl¡¯s real body.¡± I propose. Kaito agreed with my plan. Now all we had to do was find her real body. Which is easier said than done. It would be somewhere within this school. It¡¯s just that this school is pretty big. Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. Thinking back, the last time we ended up in this theme, we didn¡¯t find anything that could have been her real body. So instead, we looked outside and around the school. *Two hours later.* Looking around, all we found was nothing. That was until we came across an old shack. Kaito: ¡°Do you remember this shack ever being here in this school?¡± She asked. Avariena: ¡°No. It¡¯s definitely original to this pocket dimension. Let¡¯s head into it.¡± I reply with a serious tone. Before we went in, I made sure my handgun was loaded, and that there was a round in the chamber. We opened the door, which was barely hanging onto its hinges, and walked inside. We were greatly disappointed. It was just an old porta-potty¡ We were about to leave with an annoyed mood when the floor of the porta-potty fell out from under us. After waking up from the fall, we were now in a very girly room. No, really. It was like a little girl¡¯s room. With stuffed animals, and pink frills everywhere. We searched the room for a while, but found nothing that could be the ghost girl¡¯s true body. The only place that we haven¡¯t looked, was on the other side of a locked door. On the door was a sticky note. Ever heard of an escape room? Well, we had to figure out where the key was, using only a very vague hint on the note. Kaito: ¡°Let¡¯s see¡ the note says, ¡°I am fluffy, I am dangerous, and I live in a forest.¡±¡ What the heck are we looking for?¡± She asked with a confused tone. I glanced around the room, and there was only one stuffed teddy bear in the entire room. It was on the bed. Thinking that I solved the shitty puzzle, I climbed onto the bed to grab the teddy bear. Once I grabbed it, thin blades shot out everywhere. By some goddamn miracle, I managed to dodge most of the blades. Like I said, MOST of them. I was still very injured. I don¡¯t think that there was a single part of my body that didn¡¯t have a huge slash on it. Ah, my vanity¡ at least my face is uninjured. Kaito quickly rushed over to me. Kaito: ¡°Avariena! Are you okay?¡± She asked with a worrying tone. Avariena: ¡°Just a little cut up. Nothing a visit to the hospital can¡¯t solve.¡± I say with a shrug. Since I was annoyed at that fucked up trap, I quickly tore up the teddy bear. Inside its stomach, was a gold key. Going over to the door, I was able to unlock it with the key. Inside the room was five chairs. Each chair had its own doll of a little girl sitting on it. The dolls looked just like the ghost girl. Avariena: ¡°Ah! Finally, we have found their real bodies!¡± I exclaim. Not taking any chances, I shoot one of the dolls. Which completely destroyed it. I heard a guttural scream, which came from behind Kaito. One of the ghost girls was sneaking up on her, it seems. When I looked over at her, she was in the process of vanishing. Kaito: ¡°Did I almost get sneak attacked again!?¡± Kaito raged. Her rage was quickly forgotten due to our current situation. The remaining ghost girls came out of hiding, and started attacking us like their life depended on it. Which is, because it did. Every time that I tried to take a shot at a doll, either I was being attacked, causing me to miss, or one of the ghost girls used their bodies to block my shot. Kaito: ¡°Fuck this! I am too tired for this shit!¡± Kaito yelled. She then grabbed my hand, and dragged me out of the room. I was very confused. She also made sure to lock the door back as well. So the ghost girls were slamming onto the door with loud thuds. Avariena: ¡°Do we need a new plan?¡± I ask with a head tilt. Kaito: ¡°No need. 5¡ 4¡ 3¡ 2¡ 1!¡± She said with a cheeky tone. I was greatly confused at this point¡ That was until I heard a loud *BOOM!* from inside the room. Ah! She tossed the grenade into the room. I wanted to thank her, and call her a genius, but the next second, I was in a hospital¡ Chapter 13: End. Chapter 13: End. *Avariena¡¯s POV* I sat up from my bed, and looked around. To my left was my mom. She was asleep with her head on my hospital bed. Next to her was a woman sleeping the same way. Glancing at her features, she seemed to be Kaito¡¯s mother. At least, that would be my best guess. Sitting up from my bed seemed to have woke them both up. My mom only looked at me for a second before giving me a tight and loving hug. While also crying her eyes out. I needed a good cry as well, so my waterworks followed shortly after hers. We stayed like that for a good ten minutes. Though I did not dislike it, the other woman was giving us both hugs as well. Ah, I guess that I never told you my mother¡¯s name, right? Her name is Eleonora. Avariena: ¡°Can I ask what happened?¡± I ask. Eleonora: ¡°Goddess Mana, and Goddess Ruina have already told everyone what happened. As for you two, once you destroyed the core, you both returned to this dimension. But, fell into a deep sleep. You have been asleep for four days.¡± My mom said, trying not to cry once more. Avariena: ¡°And Kaito? Has she woke up yet?¡± I ask with a nervous tone. Eleonora: ¡°She woke up just a few hours ago. Ah, I forgot to introduce her, this is Grace.¡± She said while pointing to the other woman. Grace: ¡°I am Kaito¡¯s mother. Thank you so much for saving her.¡± She said with a warm tone. Avariena: ¡°She has saved me as well, so I am just glad that this whole thing is over with.¡± Is say with a smile. Grace: ¡°As are we.¡± She said with a smile as well. Although this is a very happy reunion, I still have this odd feeling about these two women¡ Avariena: ¡°Do you two know each other? You seem close.¡± I ask. Eleonora: ¡°Well¡ It¡¯s like this, you remember that business trip I went on?¡± She asked. Avariena: ¡°Yeah?¡± I reply. Eleonora: ¡°It wasn¡¯t a business trip. I have been dating Grace for many years. We went to have a date in America.¡± My mom said, not being able to look me in the eyes. Avariena: ¡°That¡¯s¡ a problem.¡± I say with a sigh. Grace: ¡°I know that you have been through a lot, but is there a reason why you object to our relationship?¡± Grace asked with a serious but calm tone. This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. Avariena: ¡°I don¡¯t reject to it. In fact, I think that you two make a great couple.¡± I reply quickly. Eleonora: ¡°Then why is it a problem?¡± She asked with a confused tone. Avariena: ¡°I love Kaito, and she loves me. It¡¯s waaay too weird to date your own sister¡¡± I reply with a sad tone. Funnily enough, they both just looked at me with blank stares, before turning to each other and laughing with a hearty laugh. This caused me to turn red from the embarrassment. Eleonora: ¡°Avariena, we have no desire to let the public know about our relationship. It would just be far too annoying. There will be no conflicts if you and Kaito start dating, or even marry.¡± She said with a warm tone. Grace: ¡°That¡¯s right. Besides, Kaito is adopted. Even if we do get married, it shouldn¡¯t matter much.¡± She said with a shrug. Are you sure that she is adopted? Kaito and her mother act completely the same¡ Ah, now that I think about it, I act just like my mom as well. Weird? Anyway, we kept chatting for a bit, but then Kaito came to my room. Grace and my mom left us so that we could have our privacy. Once they left, Kaito rushed over to me, and gave me a hug. Once the hug was over, she kissed me. I was shocked¡ this was my first kiss after all. Wait! I forgot that we kissed after we pulled the pin on that grenade¡ Well, this is my first kiss in a safe situation, I guess¡ Kaito: ¡°Sorry¡ We kissed before in other loops, I forgot that this you hasn¡¯t been kissed by me yet.¡± Kaito said with an embarrassed expression and tone. This caused me to let out my own hearty laugh. I then grabbed her hand, and held it for around five minutes. Just enjoying the warm from her. Avariena: ¡°Don¡¯t you remember the grenade kiss?¡± I say with a small giggle. Kaito: ¡°Ah¡ I think that counts more as a vow than a kiss.¡± She replied with a chuckle. We had many ¡°private¡± conversations after that. Such things shall be kept between wives, and not relayed to you all. Perverts! After a few days of being carefully watched by the hospital staff, we were clear to leave the hospital. We still had high school to finish, but we decided to live together anyway. *Many years later.* Kaito and I, it took us a few years of therapy, before we finally healed from that period in our lives. Despite surviving it, Kaito and I both still had nightmares. Kaito had it worse than me, since she had the most memories of the loops. Even after therapy, she would have nightmares from time to time. Though, I would always wake up to comfort her when she did. I took over my mother¡¯s business, and Kaito took over her mother¡¯s business. Though, that was a few years ago. We have been happily married for six years now. Funnily enough, Ruina and Mana showed up to our wedding, and blessed us. Even after six years, every second that I spend with her is amazing. What are we doing right now? Just looking for a daughter to adopt. We just want one daughter. We have already merged all of our businesses, so we only need one heir. Though, it¡¯s not like we¡¯re adopting just for an heir. We both want to raise a daughter. We have way too much love to give, so we might as well give some to our child as well. Adopting a child was actually difficult. Why? Because Kaito and I both still look 18¡ Even so, we managed to adopt a little baby girl. After debating for a while, we came up with the name, Kana, for our daughter. Now we just have to raise her right, and with love. Something that we clearly already know how to do. According to Mana, who came out of nowhere to apologize to us, she said that we actually won¡¯t die of old age. And that we can technically live forever. She extended this to our mothers, which they agreed. As our daughter is far too young to make such a decision, Mana said that she will visit us again in the future, when Kana is old enough. And that is where our life stands at the moment. Honestly, I feel like I could be with Kaito for all of eternity. Ah, I think that I just might do so! Bonus Chapter: Kaitos Last Side. Bonus Chapter: Kaito''s Last Side. *Kaito¡¯s POV* I was just about to gloat to Avariena, but the next second, I woke up in a hospital room. It was clear as day that we succeeded. Now I just have to hope that she is okay¡ As I was about to get up from my bed, but stopped when I saw my mom come into my room. A woman followed with her. Glancing at her appearance, she was most likely my girlfriend¡¯s mother. Ah¡ I see that I see Avariena as my girlfriend by default already¡ Grace: ¡°Kaito!¡± My mom exclaimed. She then ran over to me, and gave me a big hug. I feel like something similar will be happening to Avariena when she wakes up. Honestly, it was the first time that I have ever seen my own mother cry. Which made me cry as well. Kaito: ¡°Is Avariena okay?¡± I ask with a serious tone. Grace: ¡°You and her have been in a deep sleep. Other than that, she is fine.¡± She said with a smile. Kaito: ¡°That¡¯s good. And I presume that this is her mom?¡± I ask. Grace: ¡°That¡¯s right. This is Eleonora. Kaito, we have been dating each other for many years now.¡± My mom said with a serious tone. Shit¡ that is a major bombshell to just drop on a patient¡ Oh well, they make a good couple. Wait! I can¡¯t date Avariena if she is my sister! Kaito: ¡°Mom! I love Avariena!¡± I exclaim quickly. Eleonora: ¡°We figured that out already. We won¡¯t make our relationship public, so there won¡¯t be any problems with you two getting together.¡± She said with a small giggle. The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement. I chatted with them for a while, but I couldn¡¯t really focus on the conversation. My mind has just been constantly thinking about Avariena¡ A doctor came into the room, and told us that she would be waking up soon. So they both left to go see her. Although, the doctor did say that it would be a few hours before she does wake up, I assume that the two will be getting some sleep in her room. They both looked very tired. They most likely haven¡¯t had any sleep for a decent period of time. Which is understandable when both of their only children are in the hospital. A few hours later, a nurse came into my room, and told me that Avariena has woken up. Not wanting to get hurt so soon, I left my room as quickly, and safely as I could. I just need to see her. It was a feeling that I have never felt before. I felt like I was barely in control of my own body, as I rushed to see her. By the time I made it to her room, it seemed that my mom and hers had talked to her for a while. Once they left to give us privacy, I ran over to Avariena and gave her a hug. When I separated from the hug, I then gave her a kiss. After that, what we talked about, and did, will forever stay with only us. *Many years later.* Despite what she might think of herself, Avariena was always the stronger one. She healed the fastest from her trauma. As for me, I don¡¯t think that I will ever truly heal. But, as long as she is with me, I do not mind at all. At least we both cried we when we got married¡ My dignity as her wife was restored when that happened. As for right now, we¡¯re adopting a daughter. This process was far harder than it needed to be. Since we both still looked way too young to adopt a child, they wouldn¡¯t let us. We had to verify our ages. But we eventually solved that problem. Now we have a new daughter. And her name is Kana. She is just a baby, but she is already so damn cute! As we were heading home with Kana, my and Avariena¡¯s moms, we met Mana at the door to our house. She kneeled down on the ground and apologized to us. She said a bunch of things that I didn¡¯t bother to listen to. Since she told the most amazing thing. That I can be with Avariena forever! Ah, what an amazing gift that she gave us! Now we won¡¯t ever need to worry about one of us being left alone. That is unless we die from disease, or maybe an accident. Not! Why? Because Mana and Ruina have vowed to always protect us. As such, we will always be safe no matter what. Which is good for me, and Avariena as well. Now I just have to look forward to spending the rest of my existence with my lovely wife and new daughter. Something that I greatly look forward too!
