《Server Nexus Silva.》 To forgive ones self Is to start something new. Reese had a clear goal in his mind as he descended the caves towards his friend Sol''s dwelling. Due to being too big to fit in a fox''s den, Reese had to shrink himself down in size to fit. As he turned a bend in the darkness, he came to a cavern that was lit by the glow of bioluminescent plants, mushrooms and lichen. They had been specifically planted in order to light up the caves, and were also useful for navigation. Reese was looking for a white mushroom. Following the trail of them would guide him to Sol''s den. The caves¡¯ changing nature meant that every time you entered them they would have a completely different layout to last time, but certain magical plants could be grown in such a way that they would at least lead somewhere consistently. Spotting the mushroom in amongst a patch of moss on a slope leading upward, he started to head up the slope. Reese listened to the sound of the wind whistling through the stone walls and the drops of water falling off stalactites. As he continued walking the tunnels, he thought of how the plants here only really survived due to magic. There was no natural sunlight due to whatever magic allows these caves to connect to any other cave underground. This also causes them to never go directly to the surface where the sun would be. Luckily they could somewhat control where the entrances to these caves would appear. Well, influence would be more accurate, Reese thought as he drew up to the entrance to Sol''s den. Taking note of the lantern powered by magic on the cave roof and some root vegetables in the garden, he finally knocked on the wooden door. As he waited, he took in the details of the door. It was round and painted green, with a window in it just above the centre. There were gold accents around the door knob and the edges. The door opened up with a smooth creaking noise. It opened to about half way, then Sol poked his snout out. "Reese!" Sol said while lighting up, both figuratively and literally due to his magical pelt. "It''s good to see you, Sol!" Reese said, grinning, as he stepped into the foyer of Sol''s den. "I see that you added a new door to the place," Reese said. Sol smiled. "Yeah! It uhh¡ leads to my greenhouse now", he said, following after Reese who was heading towards the new door. Opening it, Reese took a moment to just take in the sight of what Sol had made. It was a small garden that was situated on top of a tree branch that Caused several difficulties, not only limited due to the fact that he had to bring the dirt up to the place where he wanted to make his garden but he also had to grow the tree in such way that it wouldn''t grow into the plants ever, as Sol aged. Stepping through the doorway, he could see the entirety of the tree that Sol had managed to grow all on his own. Reese continued walking forward. Looking ahead, he could see the bark of another tree, specifically the tree he was standing on. Sol''s tree always had a copy of itself within itself. That was one of the more magical things about this place. Looking up at Sol''s tree, his eyes lingered on the rotten spots and the places where pruning had taken place. What would have happened if he hadn''t done anything to help them? What would have happened if those relationships had never been made in the first place? What if he had never cut ties with those bad friends? "I should have done more to help him," Reese thought. "But I was too foolish to realize what I was doing; or what she was doing to me." You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story. "Um. Are you OK?" Sol''s voice said, cutting through Reese''s thoughts. He shook himself. "I''m fine,'''' he said, turning to look at Sol. "Do you happen to have any flowers for a gravestone?". . . . As he began his trek back up to set up the dimensional portal with the bouquet of flowers in tow, Reese thought about what else he should bring with him. A book, maybe? No. Maybe he should bring a gravestone? "Hey!" Reese jumped slightly, turning to find the source of the voice which belonged to Aidan. "I heard you went down to Sol''s place" Reese regarded Aidan, whose hand was partially fused with the nanobots that made up the wall, leaving his paws hanging in the air. Not even the metal paddles that were attached to the exoskeleton around his legs were touching the floor. And his mask was showing a smirk. Reese smiled and said, "Yup, went down to check what the new door was about, also to get a bouquet of flowers" he said holding up said bouquet. All while continuing to walk towards the local nexus point. Aidan frowned, then said, "Why do you need a bouquet of flowers?" Reese sighed then said, "I''m heading to the Chelmspawa Mountain range." Aidan Visor blinked. After a moment he finally said "oh". "Yeah," Reese said, ¡°I''m trying to figure out what else I should bring.¡± "What about a picnic mat?" Aidan suggested. Reese thought the suggestion over. Finally they arrived at the local nexus point, and Reese nodded. "I think that''s a good idea," he said, then continued, "do you think you could set up the portal while I get the mat?" Aidan nodded and disconnected his hand from the wall, then walked to the console next to the portal platform and started to set up the gateway. Reese looked past Aidan for a moment, thinking about how lucky he was that his friends were still with him, and how they forgave him. Despite pushing them away when he was hurting, and hurting them when they were just trying to help him rule. Reese shook his head. While he did do those actions, it was primarily due to his bad associations that had encouraged his bad behavior. Thinking about what could have happened doesn''t change what happened, but they still forgave him. Reese turned and walked deeper into the facility, thinking of where he might find a picnic mat. . . . The sun was setting on the mountains as Reese reached the top of the hill with a pack filled with picnic stuff, gifts, and a bouquet of flowers, along with other things. He set down his pack, and brought out the picnic mat. He unfolded it onto the grass. It was a red checkerboard colour. Putting his pack onto it and sitting down upon it, he brought out the rest of the stuff he had brought. A journal, a bouquet of flowers, and some incense were among the more important things, he decided, leaving the gravestone in the pack. Finally, after setting up a small memorial, he only had one thing left to place in it. Bringing out a photo that was taken in the early days of his relationship with Tales Crafter, he placed it in the center of the memorial, lit the incense, and watched the sun set behind the mountains as best as he could. This was not the first anniversary of her death. Nor was it the first time he had taken the day off to grieve, but this was the first time he was able to grieve at the place of her death. Sitting there, he was struck by the fact that she would have never allowed time off for a funeral if any of his other friends had died. Reese closed his eyes and grieved. Why is that how it works? Why is that how it works? Asked David, looking at Jason. We don''t know, answered Jason But! We are conducting tests to determine how it works. Would you like to look at some of them he asked eagerly. Yes, David confirmed. Jason pulled up several images, documentation, and other references on the console. The first test, Jason said passionately, is to see precisely what we can tell from our sensors when the rune array is Active. He gestured to the blown-up photo of the rune array in question. Thus far the sensor data has been inconclusive. Next off we are using our magic senses to find out what we can on how it works and we have been getting contrary reports on what it feels. Then we tried different mana types and found that only the standard mana type worked. After that!¡± he was cut off by David asking ¡°How much mana?¡± ¡°Er, 150 to 175 standard units?¡± Jason informed David after a moment David nodded to himself ¡°Please continue¡± David requested ¡°Well as I was saying¡± Jason got back into the rhythm of his info dump "We''re next going to see what happens when we bring it on to other universe rule sets to see if we can determine a commonality between the universes that will yield us interesting information. We haven''t determined what we''re going to try after that, however. Have you got any suggestions?¡± Jason asks, looking up from the console,¡± "Prime universe logic.¡± David responded intently. Jason sighed. ¡°Not everything can be explained away by their rule set¡±, ¡°but nearly everything is at least made sensible by that rule set.¡± David rebutted. This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it. Jason rolled his eyes. ¡°I don''t think this will be explained by that, given it''s both magic and it''s an unexplained and unexpected magical effect, but I''ll put it onto the list.¡± he quickly put his words into action. David hummed before asking the question that he had been thinking about. ¡°Why would the slavers even want this on their slaves? A magical rune to make it so that they can escape their binding seems counterintuitive.¡± He flatly said. Jason paused for only a moment hovering over the console. ¡°It lets them escape physical bindings, not magical contracts and the like, and they can use that to achieve their ends. So it better to have them be able to escape most forms of restraint so that the slavers who have access to the magical contracts can get them back from whoever stole them if they are Stolen.¡± David absorbed that before nodding, ¡°That is a possible explanation.¡± He finally said. ¡°It could also be that some of the people we arrested were not slavers, but instead were grifters.¡± ¡°Well they could be both¡± he amended at Jason¡¯s look. Jason then asked ¡°But why would they . . .¡± the look on his face showed that he had realized what his earlier explanation had painted a picture of and explained why they would sell themselves like that ¡°But we have been helping for months and-¡± ¡°we are not everywhere.¡° David cut Jason off ¡°We do not know everything that is going on and we are not known to all and those who do know us may not trust us¡± David took a deep breath ¡°we can only do our best¡± he finished. The silence hung between them for a moment. Then the console beeped, taking both of their attention. Jason said Professionally after a moment, "Well you are right in that it uses prime universe physics at the very least, along with magical application." "But these are only the preliminary results. We''ll have to go over the rest of it in more detail.¡± David nodded, then turned and began to walk out of the room. ¡°Thank you,¡± Jason said to David who paused at the doorway. ¡°You are welcome and thank you for your efforts in subduing some of them.¡± He responded and left the room. Star Wars droids and their similarities to Astra Empire Soldiers. p1 ¡°So, he took the main body design for us from these guys.¡± Jason gestured to the Deactivated robot frame before him Looking bewildered. ¡°From his own words, The B1 battle droids are the main inspiration for what would eventually become the Astra foot soldier,¡± David responded looking around the cargo bay, ¡°Though I agree with you they are certainly a design, for an aspiring conqueror who is planning to give all his citizens, all the food shelter and water that they need.¡± He got a flat look for the addition. Jason refocused on the slicing that he was doing on the computer terminal. ¡°Found them¡± he reported putting the location on the map that he had made and handing over the updated map to David. the squad leader who shared the map with the other members of the Deeptide Stillwater squad. ¡°Continue as planned,¡± David said softly into his communication device. Then switched it off. They were not taking any chances as slim as they were that their communication methods could be detected and or intercepted. Heading out of the cargo bay with Jason behind him covering his rear. They took a winding path through the hallways of the Trade Federation ship that was hosting the Astra diplomatic cohort that had come here to hash out a deal where the Astra businesses would buy some of the trade federations ships. What types of ships they could buy and what the prices were, that kind of thing. Their job, being assigned to the diplomatic cohort, was to protect the diplomats and to investigate reports that the Trade Federation. was corrupt and or working with slavers. With everything they had found thus far, they were proceeding to a likely area where slaves could have been hidden away while the diplomats were there. ¡°Poor Matson and Dave having to deal with the Drama and boredom of protecting the diplomats.¡± Jason commented ¡°How so¡± David asked, turning to regard the wall between them and their objective with a little bit of annoyance. He began to charge up his Phase coils, even as Jason answered.¡°This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience. ¡°The trade federation tried to claim that we stole their trademark for the B1 battle droid models. When the diplomats showed the logistics and the history that proved that no, we very much did not, they then claimed that we fabricated it¡± Jason stopped speaking for a moment as they both activated their phase engines and went through the wall into a maintenance corridor and through the other wall to get to another set of hallways by passing many sensors and other possible points where they might have been spotted And, greatly shortening the amount of time it would take to reach their destination. Striding forward, Jason popped out of the wall behind David, continuing with what he was discussing earlier. ¡° The issue was tabled from there as they were mostly going for it as a cheap and easy method to try and get an upper hand in negotiations. When it became clear that we didn''t care about the cost so much as we were willing to pay a lot to ensure that we would know if there was something funny going on without our dealings, both in information and in transporting the number of goods we''re planning on transporting, they jacked up the price a lot. We then simply accepted, which wasn''t what they expected.¡± ¡°Did you get this from a pull update? Or Are you actively listening to the bug in their meeting room?¡± David inquired at the end of the long sentence. ¡°I did a pull when I was connected and updated our map to find the objective,¡± Jason responded. As they approached a door, Jason stepped over to the console and connected it with his hacking tool while David did final checks with the rest of the team to see if they were ready for any unpleasant surprises. Jason signaled his readiness as the last of the Squad captains reported that they were ready and in position. When David reported that they were to go, the operation was pulled off without a hitch. -¡ª------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Star Wars droids and their similarities to Astra Empire Soldiers p2 Misheil shivered in the cool air listening to the Eper''s Story ¡°and Ekkreth took the form of a woman from the Core and asked the depur Do you not have slaves to Work on this project. Yes, the depur answered, but they are cunning and smart. So we have worked on this on our own so that they would not be able to sabotage it.¡± Daisy shifted next to her. Did you hear that? She asked, softly. into the empty air as the elder stopped as well, listening. The cold room that they were in was quiet and the hum of electricity and atmospheric could be heard in the walls, but now there was a slightly different hum, layered under it. It grew louder and gained an ethereal tone Then, as suddenly as it had begun, it stopped. Then they heard the sounds on the other side of the door before it opened. Letting in one of those robots that they had seen earlier, then it surprised them when it addressed them. Do any of you need any sort of medical attention other than medical surgery to remove the explosive chip inside of you? It asked, as two others walked in alongside it, all of them moving to the side of the doorway so that people could enter and exit freely. Outside the door was not the hanger that They had previously been led through but instead a large open field of green plants. With some structures visible in the distance, after a long moment, Eper Walked towards the door. Looking to see how the robots would react, they remained mostly still, except for the one on the right, which was holding a bag clearly marked out with medical supplies and visible through the see-through material. It was fidgeting, looking around and gaze lingering on them who had been Punished by the Depur But it didn''t move beyond that. Are we free? Asked Eper The genuine version of this novel can be found on another site. Support the author by reading it there. ¡°Yes,¡± responded the robot on the left who had a horizontal stripe of blue along the head just under the eyes. ¡°My name is Stefan. The one on the right is Macon who will do any surgeries and Jackson is the one who formed earlier that you are free, although not directly.¡± He added on at the end, turning his head to the hook at him. Jackson responded by saying ¡°call me Jack and I thought that was obvious¡± he said Indicating with a hand the open door The two Glared at each other for a moment. before being interrupted by Misheil asking. ¡° Who are you? ¡° Jack broke off the glaring contest for Stefan and turned to look at Michelle and answered her. ¡°We are the Astra United Military Forces Division 38, still waters.¡± Stefan also stopped glaring at Jack with a huff looking back towards the back wall of their cell. Jack continued, *We have freed you because you were under legal bondage by a foreign empire. We are poor slavery and have a dedicated task force to free slaves and worlds that are entrenched with slavery. We are here to help,¡± be finished with a smile being digitally painted on his mouthpiece
