《Adrian's Journey in Aeloria》
Day 1: Part 1
Arinthas Festival of Elements - Day 1:
Adrian found himself in the midst of the lively Festival of Elements in the city of Arinthas. Vibrant banners waved overhead, and the air was filled with the aroma of sizzling street food and the sounds of laughter and music. Colorful tents and stalls were set up all around, offering everything from intricate jewelry to exotic spices.
He was confused. "How did I get here? I was just reading a novel and suddenly I was here. Did I just got isekai''d?" He thought in his head. He looked around. As he pondered his situation, he took a moment to scan the bustling festival grounds. Indeed, he did spot various races other than humans. Elves with pointed ears chatted amicably, dwarves in sturdy clothing browsed through stalls, and even a few halflings were darting between the crowd, their nimble movements almost like a dance.
A group of tieflings dressed in striking, colorful garments were gathered around a nearby food stall, sharing laughter and stories. Their horns and distinct features made them stand out among the crowd. And over by the stage, a centaur musician played a lively tune on a set of drums, drawing quite the crowd with their rhythmic performance.
It became clear to him that he had been transported to a truly fantastical realm, where races and creatures from stories had come to life.
As he took in the sights, he felt a tap on his shoulder. Turning around, he found himself facing a tall elf with golden hair and eyes that seem to shimmer with wisdom. "Excuse me, stranger," she said in a melodious voice, "I couldn''t help but notice your thoughtful expression. Is something amiss?"
"I..." His words did not get out because Adrian found her breathtaking. Yes, the elf woman was slightly taller than him so Adrian has to look up. His height is 180 cm, so she must be around 190 cm. Her graceful presence and ethereal beauty seemed to captivate his attention momentarily, making it a bit difficult to find his words.
Seeing his momentary hesitation, she offered a warm smile. "Forgive me if I''ve startled you. It''s not often we see new faces in Arinthas, especially during such a grand event. Are you a traveler from distant lands?"
She seemed genuinely interested in Adrian¡¯s presence, awaiting his response with a patient and friendly demeanor.
He nodded.
The elf woman''s smile grew even more inviting as Adrian nodded in response. "Ah, a traveler indeed," she mused. "Well, you''ve chosen an auspicious time to visit Arinthas. The Festival of Elements is a celebration of harmony, a time when people from all walks of life come together to revel in the balance of nature''s forces."
She glanced around, gesturing at the festivities around him. "The city''s heart is alive with merriment, but beneath it all, there is an undercurrent of worry. The recent disappearances have cast a shadow over our festivities. Many have gathered to enjoy the festivities while hoping for a resolution to this mystery."
Her eyes met his with a compassionate gaze. "If you''re inclined to help, the city council seeks those who are willing to investigate the matter discreetly. I know not whether you''re familiar with our ways or customs, but your fresh perspective might bring insight where others have failed."
Her gaze lingered on him expectantly, waiting to hear his thoughts and intentions.
Adrian took a moment. He saw downwards. What he saw was his clothes from modern world. He still used T-shirt and long pants. Barefoot. In the world of Aeloria, where medieval and fantasy attire was the norm, his modern clothing stood out. His T-shirt and long pants were unlike anything the locals were wearing. The people around him casted curious glances in his direction, their expressions a mix of fascination and intrigue.
Some of the festival-goers whispered to each other as they noticed his unique attire. The vibrant colors and intricate designs of their own clothing contrasted with his simple and practical modern outfit. While Adrian¡¯s clothing might seem odd to them, the general atmosphere of the festival has created an environment of acceptance and openness.
As for being barefoot, it''s not entirely uncommon to see people walking without shoes in certain parts of Aeloria, especially in grassy areas or on warm days. However, the combination of his clothing and being barefoot might further contributed to his distinct appearance.
The elf woman''s gaze shifted briefly to his clothing before returning to meet his eyes. She seemed to take note of his attire, but her demeanor remains welcoming and understanding, as if she''s accustomed to encountering the unexpected.
With her previous words in mind, the elf woman awaited his response, ready to listen to his thoughts and decisions.
"Huh? I''m sorry, what?" Adrian asked dumbly, as if asking her to repeat her question.
The elf woman chuckles softly at Adrian response, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "No need to apologize. I can see that you''re still adjusting to your surroundings. Allow me to reintroduce myself. I am Elara, and I serve as a liaison between the city council and the visitors who grace our city."
"As I mentioned earlier, we face a mystery that has cast a shadow over our celebration. People are vanishing without a trace, and the council is seeking capable individuals who might help shed light on this unsettling matter."
Elara''s gaze held a mix of hope and intrigue. "If you are willing to lend your unique perspective and perhaps your skills to this endeavor, you could play a crucial role in resolving the mystery that has befallen Arinthas."
She waited, giving Adrian a moment to consider her proposal.
"That is... interesting." He said slowly, while he thought otherwise. He was still acclimating himself being isekai''d. And now this woman suddenly offered him a job? A random traveler, alone, and talked as if people disappearing during festival is not a secret? ¡°Suspicious¡±, Adrian thought. ¡°I don''t trust her.¡±
"I am just here for fun though. Thank you, but I think I will get back to my friend." He said as he lied. He had no friends here. He was suddenly isekai''d here. He needed time to think
Elara''s smile remained warm and understanding as she listened to Adrian¡¯s response. "Of course, dear traveler. It''s perfectly understandable that you''d want to enjoy the festivities without getting involved in local matters. Please know that you''re more than welcome to explore and immerse yourself in the celebration."
She nodded gently. "If ever your curiosity leads you to reconsider, know that our offer stands. The city council''s concern is sincere, and we believe that unity and understanding will help us overcome these challenges."
With a graceful gesture, Elara extended her hand. "Should you need any guidance or have questions, do not hesitate to seek me out. I wish you an enjoyable time at the Festival of Elements."
As he parted ways with Elara, he was left to navigate the festival on his own. The vibrant atmosphere, the various races and creatures, and the enchanting sights and sounds surrounded him.
He found a quiet spot beneath a sprawling tree near the edge of the festival grounds. The shade provided a welcomed relief from the warm sun, and he was able to observe the festivities from a peaceful distance. People of all races continued to enjoy themselves, laughter and music filling the air.
You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.
Sitting there, he had a moment to reflect on his circumstances. He was far from the world he once knew, surrounded by the fantastical and the unfamiliar. The elven woman who approached before made him realize that there might be scam too in this world.
As he sat beneath the tree, his gaze swept over the festival grounds, taking in the various interactions and scenes. After a few moments, his eyes settled on a sight that brought a gentle smile to his lips.
Near a colorful stall selling intricately woven fabrics, he spotted an elf and a dwarf engaged in conversation. The elf has long, golden hair that shimmers in the sunlight, and her graceful movements were in stark contrast to the dwarf''s stockier build. The dwarf, with a thick beard and sturdy frame, seemed to radiate a sense of strength and determination.
They stood close together, their body language relaxed and familiar. Their laughter mingled with the sounds of the festival, and it''s clear that they were sharing a moment of genuine camaraderie. The elf playfully tugged on the dwarf''s beard, prompting an exaggerated mock-protest from him.
While it''s not immediately evident if they''re a couple, their interactions conveyed a deep sense of friendship and understanding. As he watched, he was reminded of the diverse relationships that can blossom in a world as rich and varied as Aeloria.
As his gaze continued to roam the festival grounds, he spotted a few more intriguing sights:
Near a stand offering exotic fruits, Adrian noticed a lizard-like humanoid. He stood tall, his scales ranging from earthy browns to vibrant greens. A cloak made of woven leaves and feathers drapes over his shoulders, blending with the natural environment. The lizard man seemed engrossed in conversation with a group of curious children who were fascinated by his appearance.
Over by a stall that offers various trinkets and baubles, he spotted a woman with distinct cat-like features. Her ears are pointed and furry, resembling those of a feline, and her movements exude a graceful and agile demeanor. She wore clothing adorned with patterns resembling cat stripes, and a playful twinkle dances in her eyes as she haggled with the vendor over the price of a small, shiny object.
As he continued to observe, his phone vibrated softly in his pocket. He picked the phone.
¡°Why is it vibrating? Is there a random omnipotent being who is messaging me about my isekai?¡± Adrian thought.
As he reached into his pocket and retrieved his phone, he noticed that the screen was illuminated, displaying a single notification: a text message from an unknown number. The message read:
"Greetings, Adrian. I hope this message finds you well in your new realm. I am a guide of sorts, an entity who has taken an interest in your unique situation. You''ve found yourself in a world filled with wonders and mysteries, and I offer my assistance should you seek it. If you have questions or wish to discuss your circumstances, simply reply to this message. Wishing you an enlightening journey."
The message was signed with a symbol that resembles an intricate, stylized eye.
The appearance of this message raised a host of questions. Who sent it? How did they know Adrian¡¯s phone number? And what was the extent of their knowledge about his situation? The Festival of Elements continued around him, the lively atmosphere contrasting with the enigmatic message he had just received.
After a moment of contemplation, he typed out a response on his phone:
"Hello. I appreciate your message. It seems you have some insight into my situation. Yes, I''ve found myself in a different world. The notion of having a ''cheat'' ability has crossed my mind. Can you provide more information about the nature of this world and whether there''s a way for me to return to my original world?"
As he sent the reply, the air was filled with a sense of anticipation. His phone''s screen lights up with a brief confirmation that the message has been sent. The festival around him continues its lively rhythm, but his thoughts are focused on the enigmatic entity that reached out to him.
As Adrian glanced around the festival grounds, his eyes scanned the diverse array of beings and creatures present. After a few moments of observation, his attention was drawn to a particularly eye-catching sight:
Near a corner of the festival, where the festivities seemed to take on a slightly more exotic tone, he spotted a figure that fits the description of a succubus. Her appearance is striking and alluring, with flowing raven-black hair, crimson eyes, and an aura of otherworldly beauty. She wore an elegant gown that accentuates her curves and features intricate patterns reminiscent of flames.
The succubus moved gracefully, her presence commanding attention as she interacts with festival-goers. Despite her captivating demeanor, there''s an air of approachability about her that draws people into conversation. She seemed to be telling stories and sharing laughter with those around her.
As Adrian observed the succubus, the enigmatic message he received earlier lingers in his mind. The vibrant festivities continued to unfold around him, providing a backdrop to the mysteries that are unfolding both in the festival and in the digital realm of his smartphone.
His smartphone vibrated. Adrian quickly navigated to the messages and found that the entity had responded to his inquiries. The text read:
"Adrian, your curiosity is both admirable and fitting for one who finds themselves in such a unique situation. Yes, you have indeed been transported to a different realm, a world of fantasy and magic known as Aeloria. As for your ''cheat,'' it appears that you possess an extraordinary ability to create objects once a day, a power reminiscent of many tales of protagonists in worlds like these.
Regarding returning to your original world, I must inform you that the boundaries between realms are complex and often impenetrable. It is a rare occurrence for someone to cross over as you have, and the methods to return are shrouded in mystery. However, I offer my assistance and guidance in navigating this world and uncovering its secrets. As you explore Aeloria, you may find clues that lead you closer to understanding your situation."
The message ended with the same stylized eye symbol as before. The words carry a sense of both intrigue and reassurance, leaving him to contemplate the path that laid ahead.
"Thank you." He replied. He slipped the phone back into his pocket after responding to the entity''s message.
"So I can create an object once a day." The idea of using his unique ability to create objects once a day lingered in his mind, along with the various possibilities it presents. Deciding to start with a practical use, he contemplated creating money to help him navigate this new world.
He decided to ask around about nearby inns and their rates for a room rental. As he approached a friendly-looking halfling who seems to be managing a small information booth, he greeted Adrian with a warm smile. "Greetings, friend! What can I help you with today?"
He inquired about nearby inns and their rates for a rented room. The halfling nodded and gestured in the direction of a nearby row of colorful tents and buildings. "We''ve got a couple of fine inns just down the way. The Golden Hearth Inn and the Silver Moon Inn are popular choices. As for the rates, you''re looking at around 100 copper coins for a comfortable room that''s good for a few nights'' stay. Of course, prices can vary depending on the quality and location of the inn."
The halfling gave him a friendly wink. "If you need any more information or recommendations, feel free to ask!"
Adrian expressed interest in the halfling''s recommendation for an inn. The halfling nodded appreciatively and points in the direction of a cozy-looking establishment not far from where they were standing. "I''d suggest the Silver Moon Inn. It''s just over there," he said, gesturing to a building with a silver crescent moon emblem hanging over the entrance. "It''s a friendly place with a welcoming atmosphere. You''ll find it a short walk down that lane."
Adrian thanked the halfling for his guidance and began to make his way toward the Silver Moon Inn. The festival atmosphere continues around him, the vibrant sights and sounds a stark contrast to the mysteries and choices he was facing in this new world.
As he approached the inn, he was met with the pleasant aroma of cooked food and the sound of friendly chatter drifting from within. The silver crescent moon emblem sways gently in the breeze, and he step through the entrance, greeted by a warm and inviting interior.
The inn''s common area features wooden tables and comfortable seating, and the warm glow of lanterns bathes the room in a cozy light. The innkeeper, a middle-aged man with a warm smile, greeted Adrian as he entered. "Welcome, traveler! How can I assist you today?"
"Hi, I was told that the price for comfortable room here is around 100 copper for a few days. Is it true? Can you give more details?"
The innkeeper''s smile remained warm as he nodded in response to Adrian¡¯s inquiry. "Indeed, you''ve heard correctly. Our standard rooms are available for 100 copper coins, and they''re quite comfortable for a few nights'' stay. Each room comes with a comfortable bed, a small writing desk, and a private washroom. We take pride in providing a welcoming and relaxing environment for our guests."
He gestured to a menu board hanging on the wall nearby. "If you''re feeling hungry, our kitchen offers a variety of hearty meals and refreshing drinks. And for those looking to unwind after a day of exploration, we have a cozy lounge area where you can enjoy the company of fellow travelers."
The innkeeper''s eyes twinkled with a hint of curiosity as he studies Adrian. "Are you new to Arinthas? If there''s anything else you''d like to know or if you''re interested in making a reservation, feel free to ask."
¡°Okay, how many nights are we talking? Also, is 100 copper include the breakfast cost?¡± Asked Adrian.
The innkeeper smiled and replied, "The standard rate of 100 copper coins covers a stay of three nights. It''s a package deal that we find suits most travelers. And yes, I''m glad you asked, breakfast is indeed included in that rate. We offer a hearty breakfast spread each morning to ensure our guests start their day off right."
He paused for a moment before continuing, "If you''re interested in staying longer or have any specific preferences, we''re flexible and can certainly accommodate your needs. Just let us know, and we''ll make the necessary arrangements."
As Adrian discreetly reached into the inside of his clothing, he activated his unique ability¡ªthe power to create objects once a day. Focusing his thoughts, he conjured a pouch filled with 30 gold coins, 30 silver coins, and 30 copper coins. The coins materialized within the pouch, their weight and texture feeling remarkably real in his hand.
With the pouch of coins now in his possession, he was ready to address his room reservation and payment without arousing suspicion.
The innkeeper, unaware of Adrian¡¯s power usage, watched attentively as Adrian appear to retrieve something from his clothing. He maintained a friendly demeanor, awaiting Adrian¡¯s next words.
Adrian presented the innkeeper with a silver coin, which he accepts with a nod and a smile. "Thank you, kind traveler. I''ve noted your payment." He took a moment to retrieve a key from behind the counter and hands it to Adrian. "Here is the key to your room. It''s located on the second floor, room number 203."
As Adrian his interest in seeing the facilities, the innkeeper''s smile widens. "Of course, I''d be happy to give you a brief tour."
He led the way through the inn, taking Adrian through a cozy dining area where guests enjoyed their meals and converse. The aroma of freshly cooked food wafted from the kitchen, enticing his senses.
Passing through a hallway, the innkeeper stopped at a door and opens it to reveal a well-appointed washroom. "Here''s a private washroom for your convenience," he explained. "Each room has its own facilities to ensure a comfortable stay."
Continuing on, he guided Adrian to another area where a variety of pastries, fruits, and drinks were set up. "And here''s our breakfast room. We serve a hearty breakfast buffet each morning, so you can start your day with a full belly."
Finally, he led Adrian to the room on the second floor, room number 203. Opening the door, he allowed Adrian to step inside and take in the comfortable furnishings¡ªa cozy bed, a writing desk, and a window that lets in the soft glow of the setting sun.
"Here''s your room," he said with a gesture. "Feel free to make yourself at home. If you have any questions or need assistance during your stay, don''t hesitate to reach out."
With the tour complete, the innkeeper left Adrian to settle into his room.
Day 1 Part 2
As Adrian stepped into his assigned room, he took in the details of his new temporary abode:
The room was cozy and well-maintained. The walls were adorned with tasteful tapestries depicting scenes from nature and local landscapes. A soft glow emanated from a lantern hanging from the ceiling, providing warm illumination that complemented the sunset outside. The air was fresh and carried a hint of the fragrant flowers that were abundant in the city.
He approached the bed and gave it a thorough inspection. It appeared clean and inviting, free of any signs of bed bugs or other unwanted guests. The sheets were neatly tucked in, and the pillows seemed plump and comfortable.
There was a window in his room. It was adorned with sheer curtains that filtered the sunlight. The window offered a pleasant view of the bustling streets below, where festival-goers continued to enjoy the festivities.
The private washroom was connected to his room, offering convenience and privacy. Inside, he found a basin with fresh water and a mirror, along with a wooden cabinet containing towels and toiletries. The washroom did indeed include a toilet, situated in a separate area, offering him comfort and privacy when needed.
The toilet was modern in design, with a comfortable seat and a flushing mechanism. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, ensuring him comfort during his stay.
The fantasy world he found himself in had managed to incorporate modern conveniences alongside its fantastical elements, creating a blend of comfort and familiarity.
Sitting on the comfortable bed in his room, he took a moment to gather his thoughts and contemplated his goals in this new world. The notion of becoming stronger financially, socially, and personally resonates with him, and his newfound ability offered a unique advantage in achieving those goals.
As Adrian thought about his next steps, he was struck by the contrast between his modern attire and the fantasy world around him. He recognized the need to blend in and make the most of his surroundings. He decided that acquiring appropriate clothing, shoes, and other essentials would be a prudent course of action.
With this plan in mind, he left his room and headed back down to the inn''s common area. The innkeeper noticed his return and offered a friendly nod of acknowledgment. Adrian approached him and asked about where he could find the items on his shopping list¡ªclothing, shoes, bags, food, water, snacks, and toiletries.
The innkeeper smiled and responded, "Ah, you''re in luck. Arinthas has a variety of shops and market stalls that offer everything you''re looking for. Just a short walk from here is the Marketplace Square. It''s a bustling hub where traders from all over gather to sell their wares. You''ll find everything from clothing to food and everything in between."
He pointed in a direction, providing him with a sense of the general location. "To get there, simply head east from here, and you can''t miss it. The Festival of Elements has attracted even more merchants than usual, so you''re likely to find plenty of options to choose from."
With a grateful nod, Adrian thanked the innkeeper for the information. He now had a clear direction to pursue his shopping goals and continued to adapt to life in this fantastical realm.
Leaving the inn behind, he made his way through the lively streets of Arinthas. The festival atmosphere continued to envelop the city, with the sounds of laughter, music, and conversation filling the air. As he walked, he caught snippets of conversations and rumors that pique his curiosity:
Rumor 1: As he passed by a group of elven artisans displaying beautifully crafted jewelry, he overheard them talking about a recent discovery of ancient ruins deep within the Enchanted Forest. They spoke of hidden treasures and mysteries waiting to be uncovered, their voices filled with excitement.
Rumor 2: Nearby, a cluster of humans and dwarves discussed the mysterious disappearances that have been taking place recently. There are murmurs of concern about friends and acquaintances who have gone missing, and speculation about the possible causes behind these incidents.
Rumor 3: A lively group of halflings gathered around a storyteller, who regaled them with tales of a legendary creature said to dwell in the nearby Whispering Woods. The creature, known as the "Forest Guardian," was said to have the power to grant wishes to those who prove themselves worthy.
Rumor 4: As he passed by a cart selling exotic spices, he caught the tail end of a conversation about a traveling merchant who claimed to have returned from a distant land with tales of creatures beyond imagination. Some were skeptical, while others are fascinated by the idea of uncharted territories.
As he continued to listen to these intriguing tidbits of information, he approached the Marketplace Square. The area was abuzz with activity, with various stalls and tents set up to showcase a wide array of goods. Vendors called out to passersby, offering their wares and engaging in lively haggling.
He navigated through the bustling Marketplace Square, his eyes scanning the various stalls and shops that offered clothing and footwear. The vibrant displayed showcase a wide range of styles, colors, and fabrics. As he approached different vendors, he began to get a sense of the variety available to him:

Shop 5: "Leather & Laces"
Specializing in leather goods and more alternative styles, this shop offered a selection of leather jackets, vests, and accessories. He also found corsets, belts, and other items that cater to those with a taste for edgier fashion.
After window shopping through few shops, Adrian made his way back to "Wanderer''s Attire," a shop that specialized in practical and durable clothing suitable for travel and exploration. As he stepped inside, he was greeted by the warm scent of leather and textiles. The shop was organized with racks of various outfits and garments displayed for customer perusal.
The shopkeeper, a cheerful and stout dwarf with a full beard, stood behind the counter. His eyes lighted up as he notices Adrian¡¯s arrival, and he offered Adrian a friendly smile. "Greetings, traveler! Welcome to Wanderer''s Attire. I''m Durgan Ironhide, the proprietor of this fine establishment. How can I be of service to you today?"
Adrian expressed his interest in finding a set of decent, practical clothing. Durgan nodded and gestured toward a rack with a variety of options. "Ah, practicality is the name of the game here. Take your time and have a look. We''ve got a range of outfits that''ll suit your needs."
Adrian browsed through the rack and found several sets of clothing that caught his eye. Each set included a shirt, a pair of pants or a skirt, and a pair of simple shoes. The materials were sturdy, designed to withstand the rigors of travel and adventure.
As Adrian inquired about the prices, Durgan''s smile remained warm. "For a full set of clothing like this, you''re looking at around 90 copper coins. It''s a fair price for the quality you''ll be getting. And if you''re interested in anything else, feel free to ask!"
If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.
"This is fine. I want 4 sets of clothing, each with different colors. I want 2 pairs of shoes. And I want a bag, big enough for adventure. How much is everything?"
Durgan''s eyes widened slightly at his customer¡¯s request, but he quickly recovered with an approving nod. "Four sets of clothing with different colors, two pairs of shoes, and a sturdy adventurer''s bag, eh? You''re gearing up for quite the journey, it seems." He rubbed his hands together, clearly eager to assist him.
After a moment of calculating, Durgan offered Adrian a friendly smile. "For all that you''re looking for, including the four sets of clothing, two pairs of shoes, and the adventurer''s bag, the total comes to 340 copper coins. It''s a fair deal considering the quality of the items and the versatility they''ll provide."
He pointed to the clothing sets on the rack. "You can choose the colors you prefer for each set, and I''ll make sure they''re tailored to fit you just right. As for the bag and shoes, we''ve got a variety of options available, so feel free to take your time and find what suits you best."
With Durgan''s assistance, Adrian had the opportunity to assemble a versatile and functional set of clothing and gear to support his stay In the city. The vibrant colors and sturdy materials reflected his readiness to embark on new adventures.
¡°I prefer 1 camouflage clothing, 1 slightly vibrant for city use, and 2 darker tone since I like dark color¡±. Adrian discussed his color preferences with Durgan. The dwarf took note of his customer¡¯s choices. He nodded and assured Adrian that the clothing matched to his specifications.
After finalizing his selections, Adrian count out the necessary coins and handed them over to Durgan. He accepts the payment with a grin, his beard twitching slightly as he does so. "A wise investment, my friend. You''ll be well-equipped for whatever Aeloria throws your way. Your clothing will be ready for you by tomorrow."
As Adrian prepared to leave, he inquired about the availability of shops that sold magical equipment or items related to inventory management. Durgan''s expression grew thoughtful. "Magic items, you say? Well, we don''t have any such shops right here in the Marketplace Square, but I''ve heard whispers of a place that might have what you''re looking for."
The dwarf leaned in slightly, lowering his voice. "Head to the Arcane Emporium. It''s a bit further down the street, toward the eastern end of the city. You''ll find a variety of magical wares there, from enchanted trinkets to more specialized gear. Just look for the tall tower with a glowing crystal at the entrance."
Adrian made his way to various stalls and shops in the Marketplace Square, collecting the toiletries and common supplies he needed. With careful consideration, he managed to acquire two bars of soap, a toothbrush and toothpaste, two pairs of towels, and a drinking pouch for a total of 12 copper coins. Additionally, he purchased the items for note-taking and writing: a roll of parchment, a small vial of ink, a quill, and a candle, all for a total of 5 copper coins.
As he completed his shopping, he found himself well-prepared for the adventures that lie ahead. With his essentials gathered, he took stock of his remaining funds: 30 gold coins, 25 silver coins, and 73 copper coins.
He thought for a second, whether he forgot anything, but nothing came to his mind. So he directly wanted to see Arcane Emporium. With the information provided by Durgan, he set his sights on the Arcane Emporium. On the way, he inquired about the directions from a friendly passerby, who pointed him in the right direction. Following their guidance, he made his way through the bustling streets of Arinthas, each step bringing him closer to his destination.
Eventually, he found himself standing before a remarkable sight¡ªthe Arcane Emporium. The building stood tall and imposing, its architecture a fusion of intricate stonework and magical elements. The entrance was flanked by two towering columns, and a radiant crystal suspended between them casts a gentle and colorful glowed over the surroundings.
The exterior of the emporium boasted delicate engravings that seem to shimmer and shift, depicting various arcane symbols and fantastical creatures. As he stepped inside, he was immediately greeted by a sense of wonder and mystery.
The interior of the Arcane Emporium was just as impressive as the exterior. The walls were adorned with shimmering tapestries that seemed to move as if alive, casting ethereal lights and shadows. Crystals and orbs of various sizes hanged from the ceiling, emitting soft glows that filled the space with an otherworldly ambiance.
The shopkeepers were a diverse bunch, reflecting the magical nature of the establishment. He spotted a tall and graceful elven mage conversing with a gnomish inventor near a display of enchanted trinkets. A tiefling sorcerer with vibrant horns browsed a collection of spell scrolls, while a stoic dwarven runemaster examined a set of intricately inscribed amulets.
The customers were equally varied, all drawn to the Emporium''s magical offerings. A group of humans and halflings huddled around a display of magical potions, engaged in animated discussions about their properties. A centaur warrior browsed through a rack of enchanted weapons, while a nekomimi cat woman perused a selection of enchanted accessories.
As he perused the shelves and displays of the Arcane Emporium, his eyes were drawn to an array of magical items that glitter and shimmer with otherworldly energy. The variety of wares available was both impressive and enchanting. Here were a few examples of the magical items he came across:

It effectively increased his carrying capacity and would make organizing his inventory more convenient. The price for the Bag of Holding was 1 gold coin (100 silver coins).

- Ring of Sustenance: The Ring of Sustenance would reduce his need for food and water, allowing him to sustain himself with significantly fewer resources. It could be especially useful during long journeys or in situations where provisions were scarce. The price for the Ring of Sustenance was 80 silver coins.
- Enchanted Parchment: This magical parchment never runs out, no matter how much he write on it. It was perfect for note-taking, journaling, or chronicling his adventures. The price for the Enchanted Parchment was 30 silver coins.
- Gem of Insight: The Gem of Insight would provide its user with a small but steady stream of magical knowledge. Once per day, it would grant him a brief insight into a topic or question of his choice. The price for the Gem of Insight was 60 silver coins.
These items offered a mix of permanent enhancements to his attributes and practical utilities for everyday use. As Adrian considered his options, he realized that each item has the potential to contribute to his growth and adaptability in this new world.
Adrian approached the shopkeeper to inquire about the Amulet of Strength, his interest piqued by the potential for permanent enhancement to his physical attributes. The shopkeeper, a knowledgeable elven mage, offered him a warm smile as Adrian expressed his interest.
"Ah, the Amulet of Strength is a fine choice indeed," the mage says. "It''s a magical item that, when worn, enhances your physical strength on a permanent basis. The amulet attunes itself to your essence, and over time, you''ll notice a gradual improvement in your physical capabilities."
The mage continues, "To use the amulet, all you need to do is wear it around your neck or place it on your person. As you wear it, your body will naturally attune to its magic, and you''ll begin to experience the effects. Keep in mind that while the amulet offers a permanent enhancement, it won''t make you instantly superhuman. The improvement will be gradual, but noticeable."
He glanced over to where the Amulet of Strength was displayed and gestures toward it. "The price for the Amulet of Strength is 3 gold coins. It''s a valuable investment for those who seek to bolster their physical prowess. If you have any further questions or if you''re ready to make a decision, feel free to let me know."
Adrian turned his attention to the Pendant of Wisdom, intrigued by the prospect of enhancing his insight and intuition. The shopkeeper, still attentive to the customer¡¯s inquiries, responded to questions about the pendant''s effects and potential vulnerabilities.
"The Pendant of Wisdom operates similarly to the Amulet of Strength," the mage explained. "When worn, the pendant gradually enhances your wisdom attribute over time. This improvement in insight and intuition can be quite valuable, especially for those who rely on their wits and decision-making skills."
¡°As for the durability of the pendant,¡± the shopkeeper continued, "While the pendant is a magical item, it''s not indestructible. In the event that the pendant is broken, its magic will be disrupted, and the effects will cease. However, our enchantments are crafted to ensure that the pendant is resilient and can withstand the rigors of everyday use and even moderate wear and tear."
The elf gestured to the display where the Pendant of Wisdom was showcased. "The price for the Pendant of Wisdom is also 3 gold coins. It''s a valuable investment for those seeking to enhance their mental acuity and strategic thinking."
With this information, Adrian had a better understanding of the Pendant of Wisdom, its gradual enhancement of his wisdom attribute, and its potential vulnerabilities.
Adrian raised an important question about the Amulet of Strength and its durability in the midst of battle. The shopkeeper nods in understanding, appreciating your thorough consideration.
"The Amulet of Strength''s magic is tied to your essence," he explained. "If the amulet were to be broken in battle, the enhancement it provided would indeed cease. However, the strength you''ve gained over time wouldn''t simply vanish. It''s as if the amulet has helped your body attune to a higher level of strength, and that attunement remains even if the physical item is no longer intact."
He continued, "Of course, it''s always wise to consider the risks and benefits of wearing such valuable items in combat situations. While the amulet may become damaged or lost, the enhancement it granted would remain a part of you. And should you decide to replace the amulet in the future, the enhancement would continue to build upon the foundation you''ve already established."
The shopkeeper''s words provided Adrian with clarity regarding the potential outcomes of wearing the Amulet of Strength in battle.
Adrian finalized his decision and informed the shopkeeper that he would be purchasing the Bag of Holding and the Ring of Sustenance. He handed over 2 gold coins, and the shopkeeper provided him with the items along with 20 silver coins in change. Adrian discreetly tucked the items away in his traveling bag, ensuring that his purchases remained concealed from prying eyes on the street.
Day 1 Part 3
With new acquisitions secured, Adrian set out to explore the Marketplace Square once more, this time in search of shops that sold weapons. As he wandered through the bustling area, he came across several notable shops that catered to adventurers seeking reliable weapons:
- Ironclad Arms: This shop specializes in a variety of weapons, from simple swords and bows to more exotic options.
- Arcane Edge Emporium: This shop focused on enchanted and magical weapons. He might find swords that burst into flames, bows that shoot arrows of lightning, and other fantastical arms.
- Hammer & Anvil: A blacksmith''s shop that offered a range of melee weapons, including hammers, axes, and maces.
- Fletching & Forge: This shop specialized in ranged weapons, including bows, crossbows, and throwing weapons.
Adrian stepped into the Hammer & Anvil, a blacksmith''s shop that emanates a warm and earthy atmosphere. The sounds of hammer stroke against metal ring through the air from the backroom as he entered, and the shopkeeper, a stout and bearded dwarven blacksmith, looked up from his workbench to greet Adrian with a nod.
As Adrian perused the available weapons, he found a selection of well-crafted knives and one-handed axes displayed on racks and tables. Each weapon reflected the craftsmanship and attention to detail that the shop was known for.
- Well-Crafted Dagger: The daggers on display caught his eye with their polished blades and comfortable grips. They''re suitable for both utility and self-defense purposes. The shopkeeper informed him that a well-crafted dagger was priced at 80 copper coins.
- Sturdy One-Handed Axe: The one-handed axes were designed for versatility and combat effectiveness. They featured sturdy hafts and sharp blades, making them ideal for close combat. The shopkeeper informed him that a sturdy one-handed axe was also priced at 80 copper coins.
The prices of the weapons fell within the range he was expecting, and they reflected the quality and durability that Hammer & Anvil was known for.
As Adrian considered his options, the shopkeeper approached him and said, "If you have any questions about the weapons or if you''d like to handle them to get a feel for their balance, don''t hesitate to ask. We take pride in our work, and we''re here to ensure you leave with the right weapon for your needs."
Adrian expressed his desire to test the weapons and got a feel for their balance and handling. The shopkeeper nodded understandingly and gestured toward a designated area within the shop where customers could try out weapons safely. He led Adrian to a clear space where he could swing the weapons without risking damage to any equipment or merchandise.
"Feel free to take your time and test the weapons," the shopkeeper said with a friendly tone. "Swing them, get a sense of their weight and balance. It''s important to find a weapon that suits your style and feels comfortable in your hands."
Adrian took hold of the dagger and the one-handed axe, their weight feeling solid and balanced as he gripped them. With a few experimental swings, he gauged each weapons'' maneuverability and the sensation of their strikes through the air. The dagger moved swiftly and could be easily maneuvered, while the one-handed axe offered a satisfying weight behind each swing.
After a few moments of testing, he turned to the shopkeeper. "They both feel quite good," Adrian comment. "I think I''ve made my decision."
The shopkeeper nodded appreciatively. "I''m glad to hear that. Choosing the right weapon is an important decision, and it seems you''ve found what suits you."
Satisfied with his choices, Adrian inquired about obtaining a belt or holster for the dagger and one-handed axe. The shopkeeper nodded and provided him with suitable belt holsters for both weapons, ensuring that they''re secured and easily accessible.
"Here you go," he said, affixing the holsters to Adrian¡¯s belt. "These holsters will keep your weapons within reach and well-protected. You''re making a wise choice by being prepared for whatever challenges may come your way."
When Adrian asked about the total cost, the shopkeeper informed him that the weapons, their sheaths, and the holsters come to a total of 2 silver coins. Adrian paid the amount, and with a final nod of appreciation, he left the Hammer & Anvil with his newly acquired weapons and their accompanying gear.
As he stepped back out into the bustling streets of Arinthas, he could feel the weight of his new equipment. He looked at the sky which started to turn yellow. He did not realize how fast time had passed. With his purchases in tow, he made his way back to the inn, where he planned to rest.
Back at the inn, went back to his room first and dropped everything he purchased earlier. Then Adrian approached the common area where meals were served. A friendly server greeted him and handed him a menu with a variety of food options. As he perused the menu, he found a range of fantasy-inspired dishes that cater to various tastes and preferences. He ordered the Mystic Fisherman''s Catch and a serving of Hearthcider, both of which he believed will provide a satisfying and comforting dining experience.
The server nodded in understanding and jots down his order. "Excellent choices," he said with a warm smile. "The Mystic Fisherman''s Catch is a favorite among adventurers, and the Hearthcider is a delightful option to complement your meal."
As he waited, Adrian took in the ambiance of the inn and the bustling activity around him.
He caught snippets of chatter from nearby tables as patrons engaged in discussions of various topics.
At a nearby table, a group of adventurers discussed a recent sighting of a rare and elusive creature known as the "Moonshadow Lynx." They mentioned that its fur was said to shimmer like moonlight, and some believed that its presence is linked to mystical occurrences in the region.
Another table was abuzz with talk of a renowned treasure hunter who was rumored to be seeking a long-lost artifact deep within the Enchanted Ruins. Some said that the artifact held the key to unlocking ancient magic, while others warned of the dangers that lie in wait within the ruins.
He also overheard a merchant discussing the need for reliable escorts for a caravan that would be traveling to a nearby trading city. The merchant was seeking skilled individuals who could ensure the safe passage of valuable goods and was willing to pay a fair price for their services.
After a short wait, the order was brought to the table. The Mystic Fisherman''s Catch arrived as a beautifully plated dish featuring a flaky fish accompanied by steamed grains and a side of greens. The Hearthcider is served warm, filling the air with the comforting scent of cinnamon and cloves.
As Adrian enjoyed the meal, the delicious flavors of the familiar dishes provided a sense of comfort as he continued to acclimate himself to this new world.
Finished eating, Adrian make way over to the barkeeper, a friendly and approachable individual who was tending to the bar. He engaged in conversation and expressed his interest in learning combat skills, particularly with weapons such as daggers or axes. He offered a few copper coins as a gesture of goodwill in exchange for information.
The barkeeper nodded appreciatively and responds, "Ah, I see you''re looking to hone your combat skills. It''s a wise choice in a world where challenges can arise unexpectedly. There''s a place in the city known as the ''Steelheart Training Grounds.'' It''s a training facility where aspiring adventurers and warriors gather to practice and learn various combat techniques."
He continued, "You''ll find experienced trainers there who can teach you the basics of wielding weapons, proper stance, and even some defensive maneuvers. It''s a great place to start if you''re looking to build your skills."
He gave Adrian directions to the Steelheart Training Grounds, ensuring that he had a clear idea of where to find it within the city.
"Keep in mind that while training is valuable, experience is the best teacher," he advised. "Practice, dedication, and continuous learning will serve you well on your journey."
As the day ended, Adrian expressed gratitude to the barkeeper for the information and made his way back to his room. The bed, although unfamiliar, invited him to rest and reflected on the events of the day.
With his mind at ease, he decided to take care of some practical matters. He laid out the items he had acquired and organized his bag of holding, arranging his new clothes, parchment, quill, ink, shoes, and other belongings. The bag of holding proved to be a useful tool, allowing him to conveniently store his possessions. That said, Adrian still kept his immediate essentials on the normal traveller bag.
Adrian settled again onto the bed. He took a moment to familiarize himself with its comfort. The newness of the surroundings reminded him that he was in a world quite different from his own. No air conditioner, he noticed. However, he was determined to adapt and made the most of his journey.
Closing his eyes and letting go of the day''s events, Adrian allowed himself to relax and drift into slumber. The unfamiliarity of the bed faded as sleep overtakes, carrying him into dreams of the adventures and possibilities that await.
And so, his first day in this fantastical world drew to a peaceful close, ready to pave the way for the days that laid ahead.
Day 2 Part 1
Having enjoyed a restful night''s sleep, Adrian woke up refreshed and ready to face the new day. He retrieved his toiletries from the bag of holding and proceed to use the toilet and take a refreshing bath, feeling rejuvenated afterward. Putting on his new set of clothes, he took a moment to appreciate the practicality and comfort they offer.
As the thought of creating a new object using his cheat skill crossed his mind, he was filled with a sense of excitement and anticipation. The possibilities are endless, and he had the ability to shape his journey in this world with his creations.
Considering his current situation and needs, a few potential options for objects he could create include:
- Portable Laundry Kit: Since he mentioned needing to clean his clothes, a portable laundry kit could be a handy creation. It could include a compact basin, soap, and a magical cloth that cleaned and dried clothes with a simple touch.
- Basic Navigation Tool: Creating a simple magical compass or navigation tool could help him find his way in unfamiliar areas. It could point him in the right direction or provide basic information about nearby landmarks.
- Illuminating Gem: A small gem that emits a soft, magical light could be useful for illuminating dark places or providing a source of light during the night.
- Traveler''s Map: Crafting a magical map that updates itself with his current location and marks significant landmarks as he explored could aid him in navigation and exploration.
- Universal Translator Token: If there were multiple languages spoken in this world, a magical token that enables him to understand and communicate in any language could be incredibly valuable.
And yet Adrian created neither of them. With a determined resolve, he harnessed the power of his creation cheat skill and crafted a magical sport performance enhancing elixir. This elixir was designed to not only make his physical training more effective but also provided enduring benefits to his body, allowing it to maintain its strength and vitality even without constant training. As he created this elixir, he infused it with the intention of no side effects and a lasting impact.
With the elixir complete, he consumed it without hesitation, feeling its magical essence flow through his veins. He experienced a surge of energy, a heightened sense of vitality, and a subtle shift within his body as it absorbs the elixir''s effects.
A feeling of strength and endurance courses through him, and he sensed that the elixir had indeed enhanced his physical abilities and granted him a level of resilience. He could sense that his body had been altered, now requiring less intense training to maintain its strength and stamina.
After enjoying a hearty breakfast at the inn, he made his way to the Steelheart Training Grounds, the place the bartender recommended for honing his combat skills. As he approached the training grounds, he was met with the sight of a spacious area dotted with practice dummies, wooden targets, and various training equipment.
The training grounds are bustling with activity as aspiring adventurers and warriors of different races engage in their practice routines. Some were sparring with partners, others were practicing archery, and a few are perfecting their combat maneuvers.
He noticed a few experienced trainers supervising different sections of the training area, offering guidance, instruction, and occasional words of encouragement. There are trainers proficient with different weapons and combat styles, catering to a wide range of preferences and abilities.
As Adrian stepped onto the training grounds, a few trainers noticed his presence, sensing that he might be new. One of the trainers, a sturdy dwarven warrior with a friendly demeanor, approached him.
"Welcome to the Steelheart Training Grounds," he greeted Adrian. "Are you here to learn the ways of combat and sharpen your skills? We have trainers well-versed in various disciplines. What brings you here today?"

The dwarven trainer listens attentively as he expressed his interest in training and improving his combat skills. He nodded in understanding and proceeded to provide Adrian with more information about the training options available at the Steelheart Training Grounds.
"We offer a variety of training programs to suit different styles and preferences," the trainer explains. "Whether you''re looking to master a specific weapon, enhance your overall combat techniques, or focus on defensive maneuvers, we have trainers who can guide you."
He continued, "Training sessions typically start in the morning and continue until mid-afternoon. Each session usually lasts around three to four hours, providing you with ample time to learn and practice. As for payment, we have different packages available, depending on the level of training and specialization you''re seeking."
He proceeded to explain the payment options, which include:

The dwarf trainer concluded as he stroke his beard, "All necessary training equipment will be provided, but feel free to bring your own weapons if you have them. Wear comfortable clothing suitable for physical activity. Our trainers are experienced and skilled in various combat styles, and they''re here to help you reach your goals."
Adrian expressed his decision to the dwarf trainer, choosing the basic training package to start building his foundational combat skills. The trainer nodded and explained the details of the package further.
"The basic training package is a solid choice for those looking to build a strong foundation," the dwarf says. "It includes access to the training grounds, practice equipment, and guidance from our skilled trainers. This package is available for a duration of six months."
He clarified, "The cost of 7 silver coins covers the entire six-month training period. During this time, you''ll have the opportunity to improve your physical fitness, learn combat techniques, and gain proficiency in various aspects of combat. It''s a balanced approach that prepares you for more specialized training if you choose to pursue it."
With the details of the basic training package laid out, Adrian was presented with an opportunity to invest in his physical and combat abilities. The cost reflected the quality of training and resources available at the Steelheart Training Grounds.
As the morning sun rose over the Steelheart Training Grounds, Adrian found himself amidst a diverse group of aspiring adventurers and warriors, all eager to embark on their training journey. The air was filled with a palpable sense of determination and anticipation.
He was led by the dwarven trainer to a designated area where the basic training session would take place. The training grounds were organized into different sections for various exercises, sparring, and practice with different weapons. The trainer introduced him to his fellow trainees, a mix of races and backgrounds, creating a sense of camaraderie.
The training began with a series of warm-up exercises designed to prepare his body for the upcoming physical activities. Adrian engaged in stretches, jogging, and simple calisthenics alongside his fellow trainees.
Under the guidance of experienced trainers, he started practicing basic combat stances, footwork, and movement techniques. The trainers emphasized the importance of balance, posture, and agility in combat situations.
He progressed to practicing with practice weapons¡ªwooden swords, padded daggers, and training staffs. The trainer focused on teaching him basic strikes, blocks, and parries. Adrian partnered with a fellow trainee to practice these techniques in controlled sparring sessions.
The training shifts to ranged combat as he practiced archery and throwing weapons. At first Adrian was confused about it but he just followed. He learnt how to aim, draw, and release arrows accurately, as well as how to throw knives with precision. Well, as precise as he could since he was a beginner.
The morning session concluded with a group cool-down and stretching routine, led by the trainers. As he caught his breath and feel the satisfying ache of exertion, he was reminded of the progress he was making.
As the morning training session comes to an end, the dwarven trainer approached him with a nod of approval. "You''ve done well for your first day," he commented. "Remember, progress comes with consistent effort. We''ll be here to guide you every step of the way."
Adrian expressed gratitude to the dwarf trainer for the morning''s training and took a moment to inquire about his name. The dwarf smiles warmly and replies, "Names are important, aren''t they? You can call me Gruff Ironheart."
With the introduction made, Adrian made his way back to the inn to freshen up. After taking a well-deserved bath and changing into his third set of new clothes, he approached the innkeeper and inquire about having his clothes cleaned.
The innkeeper nodded and confirmed, "Certainly, we offer laundry services for our guests. Cleaning a set of clothes will be 1 copper coin per set each morning. We''ll ensure your clothes are cleaned and ready for you to wear."
Adrian sat down to enjoy his lunch at the inn, opting for the elven forest stew along with a glass of water. The stew was a flavorful blend of vegetables, herbs, and tender pieces of meat, creating a harmonious and aromatic dish. As he took his first bite, he was pleasantly surprised by the rich flavors and the balance of textures. The dish was indeed compatible with the human palate, offering a delicious taste that combines earthy and herbal notes.
Savoring the meal, he allowed himself a moment of satisfaction, appreciating the culinary offerings of this fantastical world.
Day 2 Part 2
After finishing his lunch, Adrian engaged in conversation with the innkeeper and inquired about information exchange in the city. The innkeeper nodded in understanding and responds, "Indeed, we have a central hub for information exchange and requests. It''s called the Town Crier''s Square. There, he could find a bulletin board where adventurers, merchants, and residents post requests, news, and announcements."
He continued, "The Town Crier makes regular announcements about significant events, news, and updates in the city. It''s a good way to stay informed about what''s happening in Arinthas."
With this information, Adrian now know that the Town Crier''s Square was the place to go if he was seeking information, quests, or updates about the city and its surroundings.
The Town Crier''s Square was located within the city of Arinthas, and it''s not too far from his current location at the inn. The city was designed to be walkable, and the central areas are easily accessible on foot. He would not need to rely on transportation to reach the Town Crier''s Square; a leisurely stroll through the city streets should take him there within a reasonable amount of time.
As he made his way through the bustling streets of Arinthas, he found himself surrounded by the sights and sounds of the city. Vendors selling various goods, adventurers discussing their latest quests, and city residents going about their daily lives contribute to the vibrant atmosphere.
Before long, he arrived at the Town Crier''s Square. The square was a central gathering point adorned with a large bulletin board where various parchments, notices, and requests were posted. He saw people stopping to read the posted information, and the hubbub of conversation fills the air as individuals discuss the latest news and opportunities.
The Town Crier himself, a middle-aged halfling with a booming voice, stood on a small stage, occasionally announcing important updates and news to the gathered crowd. He caught Adrian''s attention as he raised his voice to make an announcement about a caravan departing for a nearby town in need of guards and escorts.
In the Town Crier''s Square, Adrian had the option to either stand or find a nearby spot to sit while the Town Crier makes his announcements. The square was designed to accommodate both standing and seated attendees, so he could choose the most comfortable option for him.
As Adrian found a suitable spot, he listened to the Town Crier''s booming voice delivering the latest news and updates to the gathered crowd. His voice carried well, ensuring that everyone can hear his announcements clearly. The announcements cover a range of topics:
Caravan Escort Opportunity: The Town Crier announced that a caravan was departing for the nearby town of Greenhaven, seeking guards and escorts for the journey. The caravan was set to depart in two days was offering fair compensation for those willing to provide protection.

Market Day: The Town Crier reminded everyone that the upcoming market day was approaching, during which merchants from near and far would gather to showcase their wares and goods.
The announcements provided him with a glimpse into the opportunities and challenges present in this world. Adrian had the chance to choose which quests or opportunities interested him the most, and he could take his time to consider his next steps.
As Adrian perused the posted notices on the bulletin board, he came across a variety of job opportunities and requests. While many of them were geared toward adventurers seeking challenges and rewards, he might find a few options that might suit his desire for a part-time job that aligned with his skills and interests:
Herbalist''s Apprentice: A local herbalist was seeking an apprentice to assist with gathering herbs and botanical ingredients in the nearby Silverwood Forest. The apprentice will have the opportunity to learn about herbalism and the magical properties of various plants.
Library Aide: The city''s Grand Library was looking for individuals to help catalog and organize its vast collection of books, scrolls, and manuscripts. This role would involve tasks such as sorting, labeling, and assisting researchers.
Tutor for Beginners: An adventurer''s guild was seeking experienced adventurers to provide basic combat training and guidance to newcomers. This position involved teaching basic combat techniques, weapon handling, and survival skills.
Messenger Services: Various merchants and individuals were in need of reliable messengers to deliver messages, packages, and letters across the city and its outskirts.
Town Beautification: A community group was organizing efforts to beautify public spaces in the city. Volunteers were needed to help with planting flowers, cleaning up litter, and maintaining communal areas.
While these part-time opportunities may not be his primary focus, they offered him a chance to engage with the community, learn new skills, and contribute positively to the city. He could choose one that resonates with him or even explore further to see if there are other roles that suit his interests.
Adrian decided to contribute to the community by taking up the town beautification job. It''s a noble choice that would allow him to connect with the local residents, making positive impact on the city, and potentially forge new friendships.
To apply for the town beautification job, he approached the Town Crier, who was overseeing the announcements and information in the Town Crier''s Square. He made his way to the small stage where the Town Crier stands and wait for an appropriate moment to approach him. As he finished announcing a message about a local festival, he noticed Adrian and gave him a friendly nod.
"Ah, are you seeking to make a difference in our city?" he greeted Adrian. "I see you''re interested in the town beautification efforts. A commendable choice indeed! To apply, simply let me know, and I''ll direct you to the organizer of the community group responsible for the efforts."
Adrian expressed his interest in the town beautification job, and the Town Crier smiled approvingly. "Excellent! The community group organizer, a young elven woman named Elara. She is tall. You can find her the flower stalls in the Market Square. She''ll provide you with more information about the tasks and the schedule. Thank you for your willingness to contribute!"
With the information Adrian needed to proceed, he headed toward the Market Square to meet with Elara, the organizer of the town beautification efforts. As he made his way there, he could not help but feel a sense of fulfillment in knowing that his actions would help enhance the city''s beauty and create a positive atmosphere for its residents.
He made his way to the Market Square, eager to meet Elara, the organizer of the town beautification efforts. As he approached the area near the flower stalls, he spotted a tall, young elven woman who seemed to match the description he was given. She stood amidst a collection of vibrant flowers, carefully arranging them in decorative displays.
¡°But that woman is¡ the one from yesterday!¡± shouted Adrian in his mind.
As he approached Elara, she looked up from her task and offered him a warm smile. Her demeanor was friendly and approachable.
"Greetings," she said with a soft and melodious voice. "You must be the new volunteer interested in joining our town beautification project. I''m Elara. It''s wonderful to have you on board."
"Hi, uh¡ we meet again.¡±
Elara raised one of her beautiful eyebrow. Then she furrowed, contemplating where she had seen the young man. After some time, there was a look of recognition of her beautiful face.

Elara chuckled. She subconsciously touched her ear. ¡°I see. Hi too. Why are you looking for me, Mr. Traveler?¡±
¡°Weren¡¯t you looking for the mysterious case of disappearing people yesterday? Ah, by the way, I am looking to volunteer for town beautification.¡±
Elara coughed. She shifted her eyes and seemed not want to talk about the disappearing case. ¡°The beautification project, of course.¡±
Adrian contemplated at that. A bit curious, but it was not his business if she did not want to share. As Adrian continued to converse with Elara, he found her to be genuinely caring and passionate about the well-being of the city and its inhabitants. Her positive energy was contagious, and you could tell that she values the contributions of each volunteer.
Adrian inquired about the other volunteer workers who were participating in the town beautification project. Elara''s eyes sparkle with appreciation for Adrian¡¯s interest, and she began to share more about the diverse group of individuals who had joined the effort.
"There are several volunteers who have already dedicated their time to this project," Elara explained. "We have a mix of races and backgrounds, all coming together with the shared goal of enhancing our city''s beauty."
She continued, "Among them, you''ll find a human bard named Aria who is skilled in creating melodies that bring a sense of peace to those who listen. There''s also a diligent dwarven blacksmith named Thorin, who brings his expertise in craftsmanship to build decorative structures for the communal areas. Another member of our group is Elysia, an elven mage with a talent for manipulating natural energies, which complements the essence of our efforts."
Elara smiled as she shared the information, highlighting the unique skills and attributes each volunteer brings to the project. When Adrian inquired about someone beautiful among the volunteers, Elara''s smile widens.
"As for beauty, I believe that the beauty within each person shines through in different ways," she replies, her tone gentle and diplomatic. "While outward appearances vary, the genuine desire to contribute to our city''s well-being makes everyone involved quite beautiful in their own right." Elara¡¯s eyes twinkled as she smiled mischief.
Adrian groaned, partly in shame. ¡°You¡¯re messing with me.¡±
Elara chuckled. That said, it was clear that Elara values the contributions and qualities of each volunteer, emphasizing the unity and shared purpose of the group.
Adrian quickly shifted the conversation back to the matter at hand and asked Elara about the tasks he needed to undertake to get started with the town beautification project. She appreciated his eagerness to contribute and responded with a warm smile.
"Of course," she said, her hands sway slightly as if they were moving with unseen breeze. "There''s plenty of work to be done, and your enthusiasm is truly appreciated. Right now, we''re focusing on planting flowers and plants in designated areas throughout the city. We have gathered a variety of seeds and saplings that will bring a burst of color and life to our communal spaces."
Elara explained that she and the other volunteers had prepared the necessary tools and materials, including shovels, watering cans, and gardening gloves. She offered Adrian a pair of gloves and a small gardening kit to use during his work.
"Your first task will be to join us in the city''s central park," Elara continued. "There, we''ll be working on planting a collection of flowering plants that thrive in sunlight. It''s a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the flora of our world and contribute to the natural beauty of the city."
She pointed Adrian in the direction of the central park, which was not far from his current location in the Market Square. He could see the park''s greenery and open spaces from where he stood.
"Feel free to head over whenever you''re ready," Elara said melodiously. "And thank you again for joining us. Your efforts will surely make a positive impact."
With a sense of purpose and a renewed focus, Adrian made his way to the central park to begin his work in the town beautification project. The sun was shining, and the gentle breeze carries the promise of a fulfilling day ahead.
He eagerly joined the other volunteers in the central park, ready to contribute to the town beautification project by planting flowers and enhancing the city''s natural beauty. Elara and the other volunteers welcomed him warmly, and he found himself working alongside them to transform the designated areas with colorful blooms.
As he worked, he engaged in conversations with fellow volunteers. Adrian inquired about the best techniques for planting the various flowers and asked for advice on where to place each type for optimal growth. The volunteers happily shared their knowledge and experiences, creating an atmosphere of collaboration and camaraderie.
Through their interactions, Adrian began to form connections with the other volunteers. Aria, the human bard, regaled him with tales of her musical journeys and the soothing melodies she created. Thorin, the dwarven blacksmith, talked about his passion for craftsmanship and how he brings his skills to various projects. Elysia, the elven mage, discussed her affinity for natural energies and the delicate balance between magic and nature.
As the day progresses, he found that he was not only contributing to the beautification of the city but also forging bonds with his fellow volunteers. Shared laughter, stories, and the satisfaction of a job well done create a sense of camaraderie that goes beyond the task at hand.
By the time the sun started to set and the work for the day came to an end, he felt a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. The friendships he had begun to cultivate during this shared endeavor held the promise of new adventures and meaningful connections in this world of fantasy.
As the day of town beautification comes to an end, Adrian found himself feeling a genuine connection with his fellow volunteers: Aria, Thorin, and Elysia. As the sun sets, casting a warm glow over the city, he decided to extend an invitation to them for dinner at his inn.
Approaching his newfound friends, Adrian expressed his gratitude for their camaraderie and hard work throughout the day. With a friendly smile, he proposed the idea of gathering for a meal together.
"Hey, I''ve really enjoyed working alongside you all today," Adrian said. "I was thinking, if you''re up for it, how about we continue our conversations and spend some more time together over dinner? My treat, of course."
Aria, the human bard, grinned and nodded in agreement. "Sounds like a wonderful idea! I''ve been curious about the inn you mentioned earlier."
Thorin, the dwarven blacksmith, absentmindedly tug his beard and chuckled heartily. "Well, I must admit, a good meal after a day''s work sounds appealing. I''m in!"
Elysia, the elven mage, offered a graceful smile. "Thank you for the kind offer. It would be lovely to continue our discussions in a more relaxed setting."
Adrian¡¯s invitation was met with genuine enthusiasm, and the three volunteers agreed to join him for dinner at his inn. As he led the way back to his accommodations, Silver Moon Inn, he was filled with a sense of anticipation for the evening ahead. Sharing a meal and further getting to know his new friends promised to be a rewarding experience in this fantastical world.
As Adrian and his newfound friends gathered for dinner at the inn, he engaged in pleasant conversation while perusing the menu. Adrian mentioned his willingness to cover a portion of the meal expenses, up to 50 copper coins per person, and his friends expressed their gratitude for his generosity.
Here''s what each of his friends ordered and the corresponding prices:
Aria (Human Bard): Aria decided to indulge in the "Bard''s Delight," a dish known for its combination of flavors and textures. It consists of roasted vegetables, grilled chicken, and a medley of aromatic herbs. The cost of Aria''s choice was 42 copper coins.
Thorin (Dwarven Blacksmith): Thorin opted for a hearty "Dwarf''s Feast," a dish that included a generous portion of roasted meat, accompanied by root vegetables and a side of hearty bread. The cost of Thorin''s choice was 49 copper coins.
Elysia (Elven Mage): Elysia chose the "Enchanted Garden Salad," a dish that showcased an assortment of fresh, crisp greens, adorned with edible flowers and drizzled with a light vinaigrette. The cost of Elysia''s choice was 35 copper coins.
Adrian: He selected the "Gnomish Gourmet Pie," a savory pie filled with a medley of vegetables, herbs, and tender pieces of meat. The cost of his choice was 48 copper coins.
As the evening unfolds, he enjoyed not only the delicious food but also the company and conversations shared with his friends. Laughter and stories flow freely, fostering a sense of camaraderie and connection that strengthened their bonds. The inn''s cozy ambiance and the aroma of freshly prepared dishes contributed to a memorable and enjoyable dining experience.
As he engaged in the lively and relaxed atmosphere of the dinner table, Adrian turned his attention to Aria, the human bard, and her intriguing choice of profession. With genuine curiosity, he asked her about her journey to becoming a bard and the motivations that led her down this path.
Aria''s eyes light up with enthusiasm as she began to share her story. "Well," she starts, her voice carrying the melodic quality that bards are known for, "I''ve always been captivated by the power of music and its ability to convey emotions and stories. From a young age, I found myself drawn to melodies, whether they were sung by the wind rustling through the trees or played on instruments in bustling markets."
She took a thoughtful sip of her drink before continuing. "As I grew older, I realized that I wanted to channel that passion into something that could touch the hearts of others. I chose the path of a bard because it allows me to weave tales, compose songs, and create melodies that resonate with people''s experiences and emotions."
Aria''s expression became reflective as she added, "I believe that music has the power to bridge gaps, heal wounds, and inspire change. Through my songs, I hope to bring moments of solace, joy, and unity to those who listen."
As Adrian listened to her words, he could sense the depth of her dedication to her craft and the purpose she found in her role as a bard. She then turned her attention to him, her curiosity piqued by his question.
"What about you?" Aria asked, a playful glint in her eyes. "You seem like someone with a story of your own. What brought you to our city, and what inspired you to join the town beautification project?"
Aria''s genuine interest in Adrian¡¯s journey and experiences prompted him to share his own story with her, fostering a deeper connection between the two of you.
As he shared his background and aspirations with Aria, she listened attentively, her eyes filled with genuine interest. She nodded as he spoke about his origins and his ambition to establish his own company in this new world. She''s curious about Adrian¡¯s journey and eager to learn more.
¡°I grew up in a far away place,¡± Adrian said as he shared his made up identity, ¡°and right now was traveling to this city. I want to make my own company. Currently still in process of looking for business opportunity and people I can trust. I am just doing combat training and volunteer work for hobby.¡±
"It sounds like you have quite the adventure ahead of you," Aria remarked with a warm smile. "Traveling to new places, seeking opportunities, and building a company¡ªthose are bold endeavors indeed."
Adrian then asked whether Aria, Thorin, and Elysia had any tips for finding trustable people and starting a business.
She then leaned in a bit, as if sharing a friendly secret. "When it comes to finding trustworthy people and starting a business, there''s a saying among bards: ''Listen to the music of their hearts.'' What I mean is, pay attention to people''s intentions, their actions, and the way they treat others. Sometimes, their true character can be heard in the smallest gestures."
Aria took a thoughtful sip of her drink before continuing. "Building trust takes time, and it''s important to surround yourself with individuals who share your values and goals. Look for those who are reliable, supportive, and have a sense of integrity."
She then gestured to Thorin and Elysia, indicating that they have their own insights to offer. Thorin, the dwarven blacksmith, chimed in with a hearty chuckle. "In the world of business, honesty is a treasure. Forge alliances with those whose words are as steadfast as their craftsmanship."
Elysia, the elven mage, added her perspective as well. "Magic and commerce have parallels. Just as spells require precision and preparation, successful ventures require careful planning and foresight. Seek those who value knowledge and strategic thinking."
Adrian thanked them. After they parted, he went back to his room. As he laid on his bed, alone, his thoughts continue to race with ideas and possibilities. First he cursed. "Their tips are basically saying nothing. How do we find trustable people? Answer: it takes time to know a person and decide whether I can trust them. How do we make a business? Answer: it needs careful planning and foresight."
Adrian grabbed his face. ¡°Even children know that.¡±
Then he suddenly sat up. "But if I use those tips with my creation skill in conjunction..." Adrian grinned. He pulled a parchment, his thoughts continued to race with ideas and possibilities. He wrote on it to capture the essence of his insight before it fades.
With his plan outlined and his spirits lifted, Adrian extinguished the lamp and settled in for a night of rest. Sleep came more easily this time, as his mind was abuzz with excitement for the journey ahead and the possibilities that await.
Day 3 Part 1: Business Opportunity Newspaper
As dawn arrived, Adrian stood in his room, already freshen up. He reflected his plans for today. Yesterday he started training at Steelheart Training Ground. The training would start at 8 am. That particular info made Adrian grateful, as it seemed that clock existed in this world too. That made communicating about time much easier. He contemplated whether he should buy that next.
Anyway, he looked at the table in his bedroom. On it was a note which he penned with his quill the previous night. There was still time to have breakfast and create a new cheat object, before he had to go to training ground.
Adrian¡¯s mind currently raced with possibilities, as he anticipated the new cheat object he would create today. He was armed with the advice from his friends and the realization that combining their wisdom with his unique abilities could lead to innovative solutions.
Considering his goal to build trustworthy relationships and establish a successful business, he might choose to create an item that aids in communication and connection. Perhaps he could craft a magical charm that would enhance his ability to understand others, read their intentions, and formed connections more quickly.
This charm could function as a token of goodwill, allowing him to engage in conversations with a heightened awareness of people''s intentions, while also conveying his own sincerity. It could help him discern who might be trustworthy allies and potential partners for his future endeavors.
Additionally, this charm could have a secondary effect¡ªa visual indicator that changes subtly based on the level of trustworthiness and compatibility sensed in others. This could provide him with a quick and intuitive way to gauge the potential for fruitful relationships.
But no, he rejected that proposal for now. What he was about to create was a business opportunity newspaper. This newspaper could only be read by him and him only. This newspaper basically would tell him all business opportunity that existed in this city. What business opportunity laid in the city?
With his creative mind and the power of his cheat ability, Adrian focused his energy on crafting the unique object he envisioned: a business opportunity newspaper that''s exclusively readable by him. As he poured intentions onto this creation, the newspaper took shape, its pages seeming to shimmer with a faint magical aura.
Once his work is done, he held the newspaper in his hands, its pages ready to reveal the myriad business opportunities that laid within the city. He took a deep breath and opened the paper, and as he read, the words on the page come to life, forming a comprehensive list of potential ventures and opportunities available in the bustling city.
¡°What business opportunity lies in the city?¡± Asked Adrian in his thought.
As he perused the contents, he discovered a variety of business opportunities that spanned different industries, interests, and potential partners. Here were a few examples:

Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
¡°Is there any information that is about needing to buy something?¡± This time Adrian asked.
As he read through the pages of the business opportunity newspaper, he came across several listings that pertain to acquiring or purchasing various items. Here were a few examples:
Rare Gemstone Acquisition: A renowned jeweler was seeking individuals who could source rare and exquisite gemstones for their jewelry creations.
Rare Ingredient Search: An alchemist was in search of rare and exotic ingredients for crafting potent magical potions, offering a substantial reward for those who could provide them.
Ancient Scroll Purchase: A mage was interested in purchasing ancient scrolls containing forgotten spells and arcane knowledge, with a promise of a handsome payment.

Artifacts of Historical Significance: An antiquities collector was interested in acquiring artifacts with historical significance, such as ancient relics or items associated with legendary figures.
These listings reflected a wide range of opportunities to acquire specific items, from rare ingredients to magical artifacts. As he read through the descriptions, he realized that his business opportunity newspaper not only provided him with potential ventures to pursue, but also connected him to a network of individuals who are seeking various goods and services.
Then he asked again, ¡°Is there anything that can generate steady low income of money?¡±
As he continued to peruse the business opportunity newspaper, he came across several listings that pertain to generating a steady source of low income. These opportunities might not yield substantial profits immediately, but they could provide a reliable income over time. Here were a few examples:
Delivery and Courier Services: Several merchants in the city were seeking reliable individuals to handle the delivery of goods to customers, offering a fee for each successful delivery made.
Herbal Harvesting and Gathering: Herb collectors were needed to gather and harvest magical herbs and plants in the nearby forests, with compensation based on the quantity and quality of the gathered materials.
Street Performers and Buskers: If someone had a talent for entertaining, the city offered spots for street performers and buskers to showcase their skills and earn tips from passersby.
Scribe Services: Scholars and researchers were looking for skilled scribes who could transcribe and copy their writings, offering a fee for each completed assignment.
Pet Care Services: The city''s inhabitants require responsible individuals to care for their pets while they were away, providing a small fee for pet sitting and feeding.

Tutoring and Teaching: Offer your expertise in a particular skill or subject by providing tutoring or teaching services to interested learners in the city, charging a fee for each session.
While these opportunities might not lead to substantial wealth, they could provide a reliable stream of income that could supplement his financial resources. He needed this in order to appear as a normal person here. He did not want potential robbers to catch him, he did not want other people to think that he was a spy or tax avoider or something. He would rather play a character that was a stupid descendant of rich parents, and wanted to create his own business.
As for working hard to make someone else earn more money? ¡°I am not that virtuous. In any case I don¡¯t need the money as I can just conjure more money. What I need is a front. Or like what a certain lawyer said, a way to laundry my income. God, that was such a good scene.¡± Adrian relented in his heart.
As he continued to read through the business opportunity newspaper, he came across several listings that pertain to businesses that were currently up for sale. These opportunities offered him the chance to step into an existing business and potentially continued its operations or put his own unique spin on it. Here were a few examples:
Enchanted Curiosities Shop: A magical items and curiosities shop, known for its eclectic collection of enchanted trinkets and artifacts, was up for sale as the current owner plans to retire.
Bakery and Confectionery: A charming bakery renowned for its delicious pastries, breads, and confections was available for purchase, providing an opportunity to dive into the culinary world.
Potion Emporium: An apothecary that specializes in crafting magical potions and elixirs was on the market, offering a chance to continue the art of potion-making.

These listings presented the chance to step into a pre-existing business and made it his own, potentially capitalizing on its reputation and customer base while infusing his personal touch and innovation.
¡°Is there any house for sale? I want to flip a house if possible,¡± Adrian said.
As he perused the business opportunity newspaper, he came across a few listings that pertained to houses and properties that were currently available for purchase. These opportunities offered him the chance to acquire real estate and potentially engaged in property development or house flipping. Here were a couple of examples:
Renovator''s Dream House: A charming but outdated house in a prime location was available for purchase. With some renovation and modernization, this property has the potential to become a cozy home or a lucrative investment.
Magical Cottage: A small enchanted cottage nestled in the outskirts of the city was up for sale. The cottage was said to possess unique magical properties that could appeal to those seeking a mystical retreat.
These listings provide the chance to acquire properties that he could refurbish, enhance, and potentially sell for a profit. House flipping required a keen eye for design, an understanding of market trends, and the willingness to invest time and resources into the property.
The listing for the "Renovator''s Dream House" provided an address in a charming neighborhood within the city. The house was located on Oakwood Lane, a quiet and picturesque street lined with trees and well-maintained houses. Oakwood Lane was known for its sense of community and proximity to various amenities, making it an attractive location for potential homeowners and investors.
¡°What is the price again?¡± he asked.
The listing for the "Renovator''s Dream House" indicated that the property was currently priced at 40 silver coins. While the price was higher than that of a medium-sized comfortable house, it suggested that the potential for renovation and modernization could yield a substantial return on investment. The property''s location on Oakwood Lane and its potential for transformation might contribute to its value.
As Adrian jotted down the address provided in the listing, he realized that Oakwood Lane is not far from his current location. It''s within a reasonable walking distance, allowing him to explore the neighborhood and got a feel for the area before making any decisions. He decided to go there after training.
Day 3 Part 2: Cozy Cottage
Adrian''s chest heaved as he sucked in a lungful of air, the weight of his exertion clinging to his every pore. The initial plan had entailed a visit to Oakwood Lane right after his training session. However, the sun had now arched its way to its midday zenith, and Adrian''s attire was a testament to the grime and perspiration he had accumulated.
With a thoughtful pause, he decided against his earlier intention, opting instead to retreat to the comfort of his room in Silver Moon Inn. His muscles rejoiced as he sank onto the edge of his bed, the cool fabric a soothing contrast against his heated skin. A few minutes passed in quiet reprieve, his breath steadying and his mind wandering.
After a short rest, he rose from the bed and went to the bathroom the corner. Splashes of water danced as he washed away the accumulated grunge, each droplet a miniature liberation. The scent of soap mingled with the invigorating aroma of the oils that adorned the room, casting aside the lingering tang of sweat.
With a renewed vitality, he dressed in fresh attire, the fabric a gentle embrace against his revitalized body. A growl from his stomach echoed his readiness for sustenance, prompting a smile to dance upon his lips. The midday sun cast warm light through the window as Adrian sat down to a meal, the flavors and textures a welcomed indulgence.
After he was sated with lunch, he went out and made his way to Oakwood Lane. Guided by the address provided by the Business Opportunity Newspaper and occasional asking to the locals, Adrian finally arrived at the street. He was greeted by the sight of a charming neighborhood lined with neatly arranged houses and a peaceful atmosphere. The houses were adorned with various architectural styles, each contributing to the unique character of the neighborhood.
Following the address, he eventually found the property in question. The "Renovator''s Dream House" stands before him, a two-story structure with a traditional design. While the house exuded a certain old-world charm, it was evident that it needed attention and restoration. The exterior walls showed signs of wear and peeling paint, and some of the windows appeared to be in need of repair.
Stepping closer to the house, he observed the surroundings. The property included a small front yard that had the potential to become a pleasant garden space. As he stood there, he imagined the possibilities: a fresh coat of paint, repaired windows, and perhaps even an expansion or modernization of the interior to transform the house into a comfortable and inviting home.
It was clear that the "Renovator''s Dream House" presented an opportunity for those with an eye for design, renovation skills, and a willingness to invest time and resources. The price reflected the potential for transformation and the value that could be added through careful restoration.
¡°That said, how much the house can be sold after I flip it?¡± Asked Adrian inwardly.
As he stood before the "Renovator''s Dream House," he contemplated the potential value it could hold after a thorough renovation and modernization. The exact resale price should be influenced by various factors, including the quality of the renovation, market conditions, and the overall demand for properties in the area. Adrian could care less about the buy price and sale price. What he was concerned with was: the contractor and some aspects of legality whether he could buy a house or not.
Adrian shook my head. I was getting too impatient. ¡°Baby steps,¡± he said inwardly. ¡°I should treat this as a lesson. I will first buy a house for myself. Then after experiencing the process of buying a house, knowing the aspects of regulation and paperwork regarding residential housing in this world, should I then consider in getting involved in property business.¡±
With that, Adrian discontinued the flipping project. He went back to his inn. Then reading the newspaper, and scanned any information about a house for sale. A house worth 30 silver coin was fine. That price was average, so he was unlikely to attract potential troublemaker. Hopefully. Now he just needed to know the procedure for buying a house and whether he could buy a house or not.
As he perused the business opportunity newspaper, his focus shifted to the section that pertained to houses available for sale. Among the listings, he came across a few options that appeared to be within the 30-silver coin budget and aligned with his goal of acquiring a property. One particular listing caught his eye:
Cozy Cottage in Sunflower Lane
Price: 30 Silver Coins
Description: A quaint and comfortable cottage nestled in the peaceful Sunflower Lane neighborhood. The house featured a charming design and a small garden space. Perfect for those seeking a cozy and affordable home.
As he read the listing, he felt a sense of intrigue about the "Cozy Cottage in Sunflower Lane." The price was within the budget, and the description suggested that the property might offer the simplicity and comfort he was looking for.
Adrian contemplated the idea of acquiring this cottage and envisioned the potential it held for creating a warm and inviting space. However, he also understood that the process of buying a house involves several steps, including negotiations, legal paperwork, and possibly interacting with the current owner or their representative.

He made his way to Sunflower Lane, guided by the address provided in the listing for the "Cozy Cottage." As Adrian approached the lane, he was met with a charming and serene atmosphere. The lane was lined with quaint houses, each exuding a sense of comfort and homeliness. The neighborhood seemed peaceful, making it an appealing location for those seeking a tranquil and inviting environment.
As he followed the address, he eventually arrived at the "Cozy Cottage." The cottage stood before him, a one-story structure with a sloped roof and a front garden adorned with vibrant flowers. The exterior exuded a sense of simplicity and warmth, and he could see that the cottage was surrounded by a white picket fence.
Stepping closer to the cottage, Adrian took in the details of its design. The windows were adorned with lace curtains, and the front door featured a welcoming color that added to the overall charm. The small garden space was well-maintained, with a variety of flowers adding a touch of color to the surroundings.
As he stood there, he could not help but imagine the possibilities that the "Cozy Cottage" offered. While the space was relatively small, it seemed to exude a sense of comfort and coziness. The price of 30 silver coins aligned with his budget, and he could not help but wonder about the potential for personalization and making the space his own.
It''s clear that the decision to explore this option in person allowed him to gain a firsthand understanding of the property and its surroundings.
As he stood before the "Cozy Cottage," contemplating his next steps, he decided to take the initiative and knocked on the front door. After a few moments, he heard footsteps approaching from inside the cottage. The door opened, revealing a middle-aged woman with a warm smile.
"Hello there! How can I help you?" she asked, her tone friendly and welcoming.
Adrian introduced himself and expressed his interest in the "Cozy Cottage" that was listed for sale. The woman nodded, understanding his inquiry.
"Yes, that''s right. I''m the owner of this cottage," she confirmed. "My name is Eliza. Please, come in. Would you like to take a look inside?"
Eliza gestured for him to enter, and Adrian stepped inside the cottage. The interior matched the exterior in terms of its cozy and homely atmosphere. The living area was adorned with comfortable furniture and tasteful decor. A fireplace stood against one wall, offering the promise of warmth during colder seasons.
As Adrian walked through the cottage, Eliza provided him with information about the layout, the features of each room, and the history of the property. She shared that she had lived here for many years and had cherished the cottage as her own home.
Adrian then started conversation with Eliza about purchasing the ¡°Cozy Cottage¡±. He asked about the details of the sale. This included discussions about the price, any necessary legal paperwork, and the steps involved in transferring ownership. He also asked to inquire about the condition of the cottage, any potential renovations or repairs needed, and whether there were any specific terms or conditions associated with the sale.
¡°I am okay with the price,¡± told Adrian, not haggling. Eliza was surprised, as she raised her gaze towards her potential house buyer. ¡°But I have a problem. I wonder if it is okay for me to buy a house in the city. Are there any rules regarding that? I am a traveler and have no identification as this city''s citizen. Is it going to be a problem?¡±
Eliza listened attentively to his question. She considered the concern. After a moment of thought, she responds with a reassuring smile.
"Don''t worry, Adrian. Purchasing property in our city is open to both residents and travelers alike. While having citizenship can make certain processes easier, it''s not a requirement to buy a house here," she explained. "As long as you have the means to make the purchase and go through the necessary legal procedures, you can become the owner of this cottage."
Eliza''s response alleviated his worry about his status as a traveler. It seemed that the city was welcoming to individuals from various backgrounds who are interested in acquiring property.
"If you''re interested in moving forward with the purchase," Eliza continues, "we can discuss the details, including any paperwork that needs to be completed, the payment process, and any additional information you may need."
¡°Okay, I have the money and I am willing to go through legal works. What do I need to do?¡± asked Adrian.
Eliza smiles warmly, appreciating Adrian''s enthusiasm to move forward with the purchase of the "Cozy Cottage." She gestured for Adrian to take a seat in the living area and joined him.
"First of all, I''m delighted that you''re interested in making this cottage your own," she began. "To proceed with the purchase, there are a few steps we need to take."
Eliza went on to explain the general process involved in buying a property in the city:
Agreement and Negotiation: Adrian and Eliza would need to come to an agreement on the final sale price of the cottage. If both parties were satisfied with the terms, we could move on to the next step.
Preparation of Legal Documents: To formalize the sale, legal documents would need to be prepared. These documents would outline the terms of the sale, the agreed-upon price, and other relevant details. Eliza said she might have a legal representative assist with this process.
Payment: Adrian would need to provide the agreed-upon payment for the property. This could be in the form of coins or other forms of currency. Once the payment was received and verified, the ownership transfer process can begin.
Ownership Transfer: The legal documents would be signed by both parties to officially transfer ownership of the property from Eliza to him. This step might involve witnesses and notaries to ensure the transaction''s legality.
Registration: The transfer of ownership would need to be registered with the appropriate authorities to ensure that the property''s records were updated to reflect the change in ownership.
Possession: Once the legal procedures were completed and the ownership transfer was finalized, Adrian would officially become the owner of the "Cozy Cottage." Adrian could move in and made the space his own.
Eliza assured him that she will guide him through each step of the process and ensured that everything was handled smoothly. She also mentions that she had experience with property transactions and would provide the necessary assistance to help facilitate the purchase.
Adrian then asked, ¡°Do we need to go to authorities now?¡±
Eliza shook her head gently.
"We don''t need to go to the authorities just yet. The first step is to prepare the legal documents outlining the terms of the sale," she explains. "Once those documents are ready, we can proceed with the formalities, including the payment and ownership transfer."
"In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to let me know. Once the legal documents are prepared, we''ll schedule a meeting to finalize the sale," Eliza adds.
¡°Can we go to legal expert now? If not, then I will wait for your news.¡± Then Adrian told her the inn he currently slept in and his room number, in case that she need to message him.
Eliza nodded understandingly at Adrian¡¯s question. "I understand your eagerness, Adrian," she replied. "However, the legal expert I mentioned works on a schedule, and it''s best to make an appointment in advance. I''ll contact the legal expert and arrange for a meeting as soon as possible."
Eliza took note of the inn where Adrian currently staying and assured him that she would reach out to him once the legal documents were prepared and the meeting was scheduled. She wanted to ensure that everything is done properly and professionally.
"Thank you for your patience. Rest assured that I will keep you informed every step of the way," she said with a smile.
Adrian shrugged his shoulder. The ball was on Eliza right now. He already showed his intent. And he had his money prepared.
Day 4: Is this really fantasy world?
Next day, in the training ground.
Adrian found himself sweaty, tired, but also exhilarated by the progress he had made during the session. Gruff, the dwarf trainer, offered him a firm pat on the back. "Good work, lad. You''ve got the spirit of a warrior in you. Keep at it, and you''ll only get better with time."
Over the course of the training session, the Ironheart and other trainers guided the students through a series of exercises and drills aimed at enhancing their agility, strength, and combat skills. Adrian practiced swings and strikes with weapons, worked on his footwork, and engaged in sparring bouts to put his skills to the test.
As the training was over and it was nearing lunch time, Adrian went back to his inn. He freshened up and took a lunch before doing what he planned to do today.
First, he asked the innkeeper where to register for citizenship. The innkeeper nodded as Adrian inquire about the process of obtaining citizenship. She provided him with directions to the city''s administrative building where he could initiate the citizenship registration process.
"It''s not far from here," she explained. "Head out of the inn, take a right, and follow the main street. You''ll come across the administrative building on your left after a short walk. It''s a well-maintained stone building with a blue roof. You can''t miss it."
She also mentioned that the building typically had clear signs indicating its purpose, making it easy to identify.
"If you have your identification documents and any necessary forms of documentation, they''ll be able to guide you through the registration process," the innkeeper added.
It seemed that the path to obtaining citizenship iswas straightforward, and the city''s administrative building was conveniently located nearby.
As he made his way to the administrative building following the innkeeper''s directions, he found himself amidst the bustling activity of the city streets. The architecture around him shifted from quaint shops and cozy inns to more formal and official buildings. After a short walk, he spotted the administrative building with its distinctive blue roof, standing out among the surrounding structures.
Upon entering the building, he was greeted by a spacious and well-organized interior. The walls were adorned with decorative symbols, and the floors were polished stone. People were moving about, some standing in line, while others were engaged in conversations with clerks at various counters.
There was a main information desk near the entrance where a friendly-looking elf was stationed. Adrian approached the desk, and the elf smiled warmly at him.
"Welcome to the administrative building. How may I assist you today?" the elf inquired in a pleasant tone.
Adrian let the elf know that he was interested in registering for citizenship and asked about the necessary steps to do so.
The elf nodded in understanding and provided him with a brief overview of the process:
"Registering for citizenship involves a few steps. First, we''ll need to verify your identification and gather some basic information. Once that''s done, you''ll need to complete an application form and provide any relevant documentation. The process usually takes a short while, and we''ll guide you through each step."
The elf handed Adrian an application form and pointed him toward a seating area where he could fill it out. Additionally, they explained that he would need to present some form of identification and any supporting documents that might be required, such as proof of residency or other credentials.
"Feel free to approach the counter when you''re ready to proceed. We''re here to help," the elf added with a smile.
Adrian told him that he had no paperwork, no identification. As for the reason, he was traveling got attacked and had to run for a few days. All his belongings were left behind in the forest.
The elf at the information desk listened attentively as Adrian explained his situation. The elf nodded sympathetically and hummed as Adrian recounted the events that led to his lack of paperwork and identification.
"I understand. It seems you''ve had quite the journey," the elf responded. "While it''s unfortunate that you don''t have your documentation with you, we can certainly work through this. In cases like yours, we have a process for verifying identity through other means."
The elf explained that they can guide Adrian through an alternative verification process that might involve answering specific questions about his background, providing details of his journey, and possibly even corroborating his story through witnesses or other forms of verification.
"We want to ensure the accuracy and legitimacy of the information we gather, so please bear with us as we go through this process," the elf adds reassuringly.
They gestured toward a seating area and invited Adrian to take a seat while the elf prepared the necessary paperwork for this alternative verification process. Adrian would likely be asked a series of questions to establish his identity and provided context for his situation.
"Once we have the information we need, we''ll work on completing the registration process for you," the elf explains.
Adrian asked, ¡°Why must this be so complicated?¡±
As Adrian expressed his frustration with the complexity of the situation, the elf at the information desk listens attentively to his concerns.
"I understand that this process can be overwhelming, especially given your circumstances," the elf responded diplomatically. "However, I must emphasize that our goal is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our records. Citizenship is an important matter, and we want to be thorough in our verification."
When Adrian further mentioned the possibility of seeking assistance through an unconventional means, the elf raised an eyebrow, indicating their curiosity about what he was suggesting. As Adrian continued to speak, the elf''s expression remains neutral, but there''s a clear sense that he was evaluating Adrian¡¯s proposal.
"Sir, I must remind you that the administrative process is designed to be fair and transparent for all individuals," the elf states firmly. "Bribery is not an appropriate or acceptable course of action. If you have legitimate concerns or questions, we''re here to help you within the bounds of the law and regulations."
The elf''s response underscored the importance of maintaining the integrity of the administrative process and treating all citizens equally. They offered the opportunity to proceed with the alternative verification process or address any specific concerns that someone might have within the established framework.
Adrian made the decision to reject the alternative offer and stepped away from the administrative building for now. As he left, he could not help but reflected on the unique challenges of navigating a fantasy world that might have its own set of rules and procedures, quite distinct from what he was accustomed to in the modern world.
As he contemplated his next steps, Adrian was reminded of the capabilities his cheat skill afforded him. The thought of creating a solution that might streamline bureaucratic processes or documentation requirements certainly had its appeal.

These books held the potential to expand Adrian¡¯s knowledge, sharpen his skills, and immerse him further in the rich tapestry of this fantasy world.
Adrian picked a map which showed this city and kingdom. He also picked 3 books about adventuring tales, plus 1 book about history. Then he went back again to pick a book about travel journals. Lastly he picked a book about educational primer. Then he came to the shopkeeper and paid his purchases.
The total cost of the books he had chosen:
Map of the City and Kingdom: 50 copper coins
Adventuring Tales (x3): 150 copper coins (50 copper each)
History Book: 50 copper coins
Travel Journal: 50 copper coins
Educational Primer: 50 copper coins
Total Cost: 350 copper coins
Books stored in his bag of holding, which was also stored in another bag as a form of hiding his wealth from potential thieves, Adrian went back to his room. There he spread out the map on a table. But it was too big, so he moved it on the floor. He was greeted by a beautifully detailed depiction of the city and its surrounding kingdom. The map was a work of art, showing a combination of artistic craftsmanship and cartographic accuracy. Here''s what he saw:
City Layout: The map showcases the layout of the city, with its winding streets, bustling marketplaces, and towering structures. The city was divided into distinct districts, each labeled with its name and notable landmarks. Adrian could see the residential areas, commercial centers, and areas of interest marked clearly.
Landmarks: Prominent landmarks were depicted with detailed illustrations, making them easy to identify. The Royal Palace, the Grand Library, the Mage''s Tower, and other significant structures stood out on the map.
Geography: Beyond the city''s walls, the map extended to display the surrounding kingdom. Adrian could see forests, rivers, mountains, and other geographical features that made up the landscape.
Roads and Trails: Various roads and trails connected the city to nearby towns, villages, and points of interest. These pathways were marked with thin lines, indicating the routes he could take to explore the region.
Annotations: The map was adorned with annotations that provide additional information about specific locations, historical events, and notable figures associated with the city and kingdom. These annotations offered insights into the realm''s history and culture.
As he looked at the map, he also looked at his business opportunity newspaper. He crossed over the information. He wondered whether there were any resources that he could quickly grab in the wild and then sold it in the city.
Examining the business opportunity newspaper once more, he scaned its pages for did not on potential resources that he could acquire and sell within the city. While the newspaper doesn''t specifically list resources like a trading catalog, it did contain some valuable insights that could guide him:
Resource Abundance: The newspaper mentioned that the nearby forests were rich in timber and various herbs. The mountains to the west were known to contain valuable ores and minerals. Additionally, there''s mention of a fertile valley to the east where farmers cultivate a variety of crops.
Demand and Trade: The newspaper highlights the growing demand for raw materials and natural resources due to the city''s expansion and development. This includes timber for construction, herbs for alchemical purposes, ores for blacksmithing, and agricultural products for the bustling markets.
Local Crafts: While not exactly resources in the traditional sense, the newspaper did mention the city''s reputation for producing fine crafts, intricate jewelry, and magical artifacts. These items could fetch a good price in both local and international markets.
Opportunities for Gathering: The newspaper also provided information on various guilds and associations that deal with resource extraction and trade. For instance, there''s mention of a Timberwrights Guild for those interested in the timber trade, and a Miner''s Consortium for mining ventures.
Challenges: Keep in mind that gathering resources might come with challenges such as navigating the wilderness, dealing with potential creatures or bandits, and adhering to any regulations set by local authorities or guilds.
Adrian contemplated and played with his chin. He looked again on the map wondering what was in the north, east, south, and west of the city. After consulting both the map and his Business Opportunity Newspaper, here was a brief overview of what laid in the cardinal directions from the Arinthas city:
West: As Adrian gazed westward from the city, his eyes settled on a range of imposing mountains. These mountains were said to contain rich deposits of various ores and minerals. Adventurers and miners often ventured into these peaks in search of valuable resources, while artisans and blacksmiths eagerly await the raw materials that emerge from these rugged terrains.
East: Turning his attention to the east, he saw a vast and fertile valley stretching out before him. This valley was known for its lush farmlands, where farmers cultivate a variety of crops to supply the city with fresh produce. The agricultural bounty of the valley helps sustain the city''s population and contributes to the vibrant markets within its walls.
North: Looking north, he found dense and mysterious forests. These woodlands were home to a myriad of flora and fauna, including various herbs, plants, and creatures. The forests were often explored by alchemists, herbalists, and those seeking rare and magical components for their crafts. Be wary, though, as the deeper reaches of the forest might hold untold secrets and dangers.
South: Casting he gazed to the south, he saw coastal region with beaches and port. There was also a place called Rivenport for sea trade routes.
Adrian sighed. It seems that there were no resources free for grabbing. Even if there was, the road there was dangerous.
Time flew quickly. He noticed that it was time for dinner. This time he picked something worth 10 copper. Then he went back to my room. This time he turned on the candle while he read a book. It was a traveling book. ¡°What is the book about?¡± Asked Adrian in whisper.
One of the traveling book he picked up from the bookstore was titled "Journeys Beyond Borders: Tales of Adventurous Exploration." As he opened its pages and began to read, he was immediately drawn into a world of vivid descriptions and captivating narratives. The book was a compilation of various travel journals, each chronicling the experiences of different individuals who ventured into uncharted territories, distant lands, and exotic realms.
The stories within the book transported him to faraway landscapes and cultures, painting detailed pictures of bustling markets, awe-inspiring landscapes, encounters with curious creatures, and interactions with local inhabitants. Adrian read about intrepid explorers crossing deserts, navigating dense jungles, scaling towering mountains, and sailing uncharted waters.
Throughout the pages, he encountered firsthand accounts of challenges overcome, friendships forged, and the profound personal growth that came from venturing into the unknown. The book not only provided a sense of escapism but also ignited his own wanderlust, inspiring him to consider the unexplored possibilities that laid beyond the city''s walls.
As he delved deeper into the book "Journeys Beyond Borders: Tales of Adventurous Exploration," he came across a chapter that touched upon the practical aspects of travel, including legal and bureaucratic considerations. The author shared his experiences navigating the paperwork and regulations that came with exploring new lands and territories.
In this particular chapter, the author recounted their journey to a foreign city and the challenges they faced when it came to obtaining the necessary permits and documentation. He described encounters with local officials, the intricacies of obtaining visas, and the importance of understanding the local laws and customs to avoid inadvertently breaking any rules.
¡°Visas?¡± Asked Adrian as he rubbed his forehead. ¡°Is this fantasy world or modern world?¡±
The author also provided practical tips on how to prepare for legal and bureaucratic hurdles while traveling, such as:
Research: Before embarking on a journey, it''s essential to research the entry requirements, visa regulations, and any specific permits needed for the destinations you plan to visit.
Documentation: Keep copies of important documents, such as passports, visas, identification, and any permits, both physically and digitally. Having these documents readily accessible could help streamline the process at checkpoints and border crossings.
Local Regulations: Familiarize yourself with the local laws and customs of the places you would be visiting. This includes understanding cultural norms, restrictions on photography, and any prohibited activities.
Patience and Courtesy: Dealing with bureaucratic processes could be time-consuming and occasionally frustrating. Maintaining a patient and courteous demeanor when interacting with officials could go a long way in facilitating smoother transactions.
Seek Assistance: If you''re unsure about any legal requirements or procedures, consider seeking guidance from local experts or experienced travelers who are familiar with the region.
Adrian slammed his head against the table. Lamenting about the discipline this world had on legal paperwork. As he let out his frustration, he found solace in the warm water of the bath, allowing it to wash away the stresses of the day. After the refreshing soak, he slipped into the welcoming embrace of his bed. The day''s events and the information he had gathered filled his thoughts as he closed his eyes, finally succumbing to sleep.
Day 5: Get my own place?
At training ground.
In the heart of the Steelheart Training Ground, a sprawling expanse of rugged terrain surrounded by dense, ancient trees, a group of aspiring adventurers gathered under the watchful eye of their grizzled trainer. The air was crisp with a hint of morning mist, and the ground was marked with the scars of countless training sessions that had taken place here.
Adrian stood among his fellow students, each clad in a mishmash of padded armor and armed with practice weapons ranging from swords to bows. They formed a semi-circle around the dwarf trainer, his beard as fiery and determined as his gaze. Known as Gruff Ironheart, he was a veteran warrior with a reputation for being unyielding in his pursuit of perfection.
"Listen up, you lot!" Gruff¡¯s voice boomed, cutting through the quiet murmur of the students. "Today, we''re back to basics. If you can''t handle the fundamentals, you''ll be no better than a sack of potatoes on the battlefield."
The training began with simple warm-up exercises, from jogging around the grounds to performing jumping jacks. But the real challenge lay ahead, as Gruff barked orders that put their combat skills to the test.
"Adrian, tighten your grip on that sword! You swing it like a tavern drunkard wielding a broom," Gruff roared, his bushy eyebrows drawing together in disapproval. Adrian''s cheeks flushed, his grip instinctively tightening on his weapon as he tried to correct his form.
The scene unfolded in a series of tense moments. Students lunged and parried, their movements a mixture of grace and awkwardness. Mistakes were inevitable, and each blunder was met with a scowl or a thunderous reprimand from Gruff. He spared no one from his critiques, his words as sharp as the blades they trained with.
In the beginning, Adrian felt embarrassed as he had just started his combat journey. But it eventually got better as the trainer dwarf spread his tough love not just for him.
"Liam, by the stones, are you trying to get yourself killed? Keep that shield up, or do you want to lose your head to an orc''s axe?"
Sweat dotted foreheads, and heavy breaths mingled with the rustling of leaves. As the training continued, it became clear that Gruff¡¯s harsh methods were meant to instill discipline and prepare them for the brutal reality of combat. The dwarf''s gruff exterior concealed a genuine concern for the well-being of his students.
Finally, as the training session drew to a close, Gruff¡¯s stern expression softened. "You''ve all got a long way to go, but you''ve made some progress today. Remember, mistakes on the training ground cost you a bruise or a tongue-lashing. Mistakes on the battlefield cost lives. Dismissed!"
As the students dispersed, Adrian wiped the sweat from his brow and exchanged a weary but determined smile with his fellow students. The dwarf''s lessons had been harsh, but Adrian knew that he was one step closer to becoming better in combat. At least compared to not knowing about combat at all.
After the training ended, Adrian had lunch somewhere for 5 copper meal. Then he went back to inn, intending to freshen up, and change his clothes. On his way, he asked the innkeeper whether there was someone who was looking for me or giving him a message. Adrian told the innkeeper that he was waiting a news from someone.
The innkeeper nodded and checked a small ledger. "Ah, yes, there was a message delivered for you earlier. A messenger left it here not too long ago. Here you go," he said, handing Adrian a sealed letter.
The letter appeared to be addressed to him, and there was a wax seal with an emblem Adrian did not recognize. From the letter, it seemed that Eliza had some news regarding the purchase of the house. She also told Adrian to bring some form of identification and any relevant documents he might need.
Adrian smiled. It seemed that the object creation cheat quota for today was not wasted.
Flashback
New morning came. With a sense of determination and newfound confidence, Adrian used his creation cheat to conjure a magical identity card that possessed the power to transform him into a legitimate citizen of the kingdom.
Yesterday¡¯s meeting in administration building was still etched in his mind. After some reflection, Adrian realized that the city or the kingdom, actually put a lot of attention to legal works and paperwork. Creating a new identity without proof was difficult. The bad thing was that he failed to bribe the elf. This made him hesitant to go back to administration building again.
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
As for why not trying to make other people became his ¡°fake¡± witness? This solution would be fine if Adrian just wanted to create a temporary identity. However, for a long-term identity which he intended to use? This might leave a flaw that others could exploit some day in the future. Especially considering he would have a lot of secrets and he was also sure that he could become rich and powerful with his cheat. Scratch that, he was already rich now anyway. But he was sure as hell that he would rather use his creation cheat quota for today. This would take care of a lot of problems in the future too, at least regarding identification and paperwork. That was his thought.
The object he wanted to create today was a magical token. Or at least the one-time consumable item. This item would give him an identity card that he could use. Of course, he would also specify that necessary or any relevant paperwork would also be created and transferred magically into necessary administration, tax building, and other relevant authorities.
After some time, the token was conjured in his hand. It appeared like a fragile stone. The appearance was simple enough, as he did not need its appearance to be complicated. Adrian crushed it on his pam, and the stone disappeared.
Upon Adrian¡¯s decision to become the kingdom¡¯s citizen, the token began to work its enchantment. Subtle yet powerful magic courses through him, rearranging the threads of fate and identity in accordance with his desires. Within moments, his appearance, history, and documentation were seamlessly woven into the fabric of this kingdom''s citizenry.
On his hand, the stone was exchanged with an identity card. Adrian smiled. The card became a symbol of his newfound status, featuring his image and relevant information. As he examined it, he could not help but feel a mix of excitement and satisfaction. He was now an official citizen of this kingdom, with all the rights, responsibilities, and privileges that came with it.
Flashback ends
The Cozy Cottage''s wooden door seemed to stare back at Adrian. He did not know why, but his heart drummed in his chest as he raised hand to knock, the thud echoing through the tranquil surroundings.
Eliza, the middle-aged owner, opened the door with a serene smile. "Adrian, welcome," Eliza''s voiced. Beside her stood a dwarf, whom she introduced to be her legal expert she invited today. Grimlin Stoneforge was his name, he had stern demeanor which spoke of years spent deciphering laws and contracts. Eliza gestured for Adrian to step inside, and the threshold of the Cozy Cottage seemed to beckon, promising warmth and shelter.
Grimlin''s scrutiny was intense as he reviewed Adrian¡¯s identification card and documents. One could feel his eyes studying Adrian and the documents, assessing his authenticity. The weight of his stare made Adrian felt self-conscious.
After what felt like an eternity, Grimlin grunted in approval. "Credentials check out," he rumbled, his voice carrying an air of finality. A rush of relief washed over Adrian. He felt like he had just won a small victory, but a crucial one.
After filling out everything, taking care of administration and payment at the notaries, Adrian got the house deed. Both Adrian and Eliza came back to Cozy Cottage. Eliza allowed Adrian the time to explore, her presence a reassuring companion as I wandered through the rooms. Every nook and cranny seemed to have a story to tell, a promise of the memories that awaited. The wooden floors creaked softly beneath his steps, almost as if acknowledging his presence.
Adrian then looked around the house which had just been his. ¡°My house,¡± thought Adrian. As he looked around his newly acquired house, he found himself standing in a cozy and modest living space. The interior had a rustic charm, with wooden beams on the ceiling and warm, earthy tones dominating the decor. Here''s what he noticed:
Living Room:
The living room was furnished with a comfortable couch and a few plush chairs, arranged around a small wooden coffee table. A decorative rug covers the wooden floor, adding a touch of color to the room. The walls are adorned with simple paintings and tapestries that depict scenes from nature.
Kitchen:
Connected to the living room was a compact yet functional kitchen. It has all the basic amenities one would need for cooking, including a stove, and a sink. Wooden cabinets line the walls, providing ample storage space for utensils, pots, and pans.
But as Adrian entered the kitchen and take a look around, he did not find a traditional refrigerator or ice box like one might be accustomed to in the modern world. Instead, he saw a large, intricately designed wooden cabinet with various compartments and shelves. Curious about its purpose, he opened one of the compartments and discovered that it''s enchanted with a cooling magic.
Bedroom:
A door led to the bedroom, which contained a sturdy wooden bed with a comfortable mattress. A dresser sits against one wall, offering storage for clothes and personal belongings. The window in the bedroom provided a view of the street outside and allowed natural light to filter in.
Bathroom:
Next to the bedroom was a well-maintained bathroom. It featured a modern-looking sink, a flush toilet, and a functional shower. The tiles on the walls were patterned with soothing colors, giving the bathroom a fresh and clean appearance.
Backyard:
Stepping outside through a back door, he found a small but charming backyard. A patch of green grass occupied the center, surrounded by a stone path. There was also a quaint wooden bench where he could sit and enjoyed the outdoors.
Overall, the house exuded a comfortable and homely atmosphere. It might not be grand, but it was certainly a place where he could create memories and made it his own.
As the day''s light began to wane, they stepped out onto the porch, the last rays of the sun casting a golden glow. "Thank you, Eliza," he murmured, my gaze shifting from the horizon to the cottage.
Eliza''s smile held a warmth that matched the setting sun. "It has been a pleasure, Adrian. Tomorrow, the Cozy Cottage will be in your care."
As Adrian walked the path back to the Silver Moon Inn, the world around him seemed to blur. The whispers of leaves rustling in the breeze and the distant laughter of townsfolk blended into a with the cadence of his thoughts. The reality of what had just transpired felt like a dream.
¡°Had I truly just bought a house?¡± The thought echoed within Adrian like a lingering enchantment.
As he walked back to Silver Moon Inn, the weight of his recent actions and the reality of owning a house in this new world slowly sank in. The streets bustled with activity around him, but his thoughts were focused on the future and the possibilities that laid ahead. The sun hanged low in the sky, casting a warm and golden glow over the city.
As he stepped into the inn, familiar faces greeted him, and he was reminded of the people he had met and the connections he had started to forge. The innkeeper gave him a nod of recognition as he approached the front desk.
"Back already?" he asks with a friendly smile. "How was your day?"
Adrian found himself lost in his thoughts for a moment before responding. "It was... eventful. I actually bought a house today."
The innkeeper''s eyebrows raised in surprise. "A house? That''s quite the step. Congratulations! I hope it meets your expectations."
"Thank you," Adrian replied with a mix of excitement and disbelief. "It''s still sinking in."
"Well, if you ever need anything while you''re staying here, don''t hesitate to ask," the innkeeper offered. "Rooms, meals, or just some company to talk with."
Adrian nodded in gratitude. As the day ended, he enjoyed dinner at the inn. The meal he chose was satisfying, and he found himself feeling content. After dinner, he made his way back to the bedroom, ready to rest and prepare for the next day.
As he laid in bed, he reflected on the events of the day. He drifted off to sleep with a sense of excitement and anticipation for what the future holds.
