《Quadruplets Gang》


 Chapter 1 - We meet again

    It is a nice 15th September, the birds are flying on the sky, people are sending their kids to schools, and some adults with no kids are going on their day normally having the relief and feeling glad they have finished school. And there are others who would give anything in order to relieve their school days again, but this time, being prepared to make their lives better, and using the best choices they have at the moment. Unfortunately, this thing is only possible on reincarnation novels, not on normal life.


    The story of this novel will begin at the "Armind Calinescu" High School, a pleasant school where young teenagers comes and leave as adults with a useless piece of paper to either be used for jobs, faculty entry, as a coffee napkin or toilet paper if it is the case. In front of this high school, a boy, comes by himself, with a backpack on his back. He walks a few steps until he got on the entrance gate, he looks around him and sees a big number of adults bringing their "kids" on their first day and staying with them to get school books and their schedule for the next June.


    The kid in front of the entrance it is known by his parents as Alda Roberto. He is a kid at the length of 167 cm, he has brown hair, cut yesterday to give a good impression, wears normal clothes: a gray coat with an "Adidas" logo, a pair of gray jeans, and snickers shoes. He has a little acne all over his face because it is a teenager, and green eyes.


    Roberto is looking at the kids coming there, and he doesn''t recognize anyone from there, and it is understandable since Roberto has always been a quiet child, and all of his friends have gone to a different high school, rather than this one. Roberto was wondering the entire summer of this sudden choice he got. It is like someone from far away completed the paper sheet instead of him. But it is no big deal since he can easily move to a different school and restart his life.


    Roberto sighs and decided to step forward at the entrance, then, before he was even able to do the first step he trips by somebody. He and Roberto are falling on the concrete on their asses. Roberto was feeling awkward and said to the person he tripped with.


    "Sorry, sorry. H-here! Let me help you." he tells the person he got into this accident.


    "N-No." says the person getting the books from the ground. "It is my fault you got into this mess. I am a little clumsy."


    He helps the poor kid getting the two books from the ground, and before he would say other thing to him, Roberto looked at the kid, which bizarrely, has the same facial features as him, only the hair of his, being a little longer than his. Roberto then, gives the two book of that person, who continues to look astonished by this.


    "Who are you?" asks Roberto looking bizarrely intrigued at the kid.


    "I am Roby." says the kid with a different hairstyle and clothes to Roberto, he hands the books to the other hand, and used the other to shake the hands of Roberto.


    "Roberto." responds Roberto astonished.


    "Hey. We have similar names."


    "Indeed..."


    "So. What is your class?"


    "Is... 9 E." says Roberto feeling relaxed again.


    "No way." responds Roby surprised. "We are in the same class. Jesus! The coincides, eh?"


    "Yeah... Kinda weird. But. Have we seen each other before?" asks Roberto.


    At this moment, both of them, are looking at each other, very confused. They do not know the reason why they have got the same facial features, and the same hair colour, but a thing to be certain is, these are the two of quadruplets of Pitesti who got separated at their birth. Before Roby could say anything on his reply, the Principal has got at the podium and started to do the same speech he does every year, in order to make the freshmen feel better to be in the centre of attention.

    Later, as the principal finished with the speech, and everything else, it is time for the homeroom teachers to start assembling the class members of their group they are holding for the next four years. And to do that, the students have to go to a zone sprayed with white colour on the concrete, which thankfully, it will disappear after a month.


    Roberto and with Roby are both going to the marked area of Class 9 E. And to their surprise, when they got there, they have been meeting a pair of kids who are feeling as unsure as them. after it is their first day on their new life which will either be unforgivable or forgettable in some cases. But, the moment these two got on their group they have seen two students over there, which caught their eyes, and made them curios. The students have the same facial feature as them, only the genders differs because one of them is a male, while the other is a female.


    Their classmates didn''t notice this, because they are focussed on looking at the other students, some shaking uncontrollable and others were just looking at the school ground. But the homeroom teacher of Grade 9 E noticed these four kids looking at each other curios and astonished, and the teacher, took off his glasses and told to himself.

    "Is it them?"


    The home room teacher, notices it is turned to lead his class to the room they will be studying for the next four years, so he gathers all eighteen of the students like sheep and order them to follow him to the second floor. The teacher was walking ahead while the students are on his behind, and behind the students are Roberto and Roby, both of them feeling weird at each other presence. They both feel like they know each other, but they do not know why or how.


    "Who is this guy?" asks Roberto and Roby on their minds at the same time as they took a small and quick peak at each other.


    None of them knows they are actually the quadruplets from 15 years ago the Pitesti has got. A big birth like this it cannot be considered a small walk in the park. And at the time they were brought to the world, they were immediately sent to the adoptions, and they have all taken by different families. Each of them living on different areas of Pitesti.


    The teenagers of class 9 E are entering the room which it will be used for a long time, and the place of either good or bad memories in their future. The students are entering one by one. The girl that looks like Roberto and Roby goes first, then other three students, after that comes the other guy looking like the three students, and nine students comes then Roberto and Roby.


    As all of the students got into the classroom, some are running to the backseats, while some are running to the middle seats. This is the time which will be critical for their lives as teenagers. And surprisingly, the quadruplets students have got the middle seats. Roberto and Roby got at the second row of middle seats, while the other two looking students by different genders are sitting on the third row.


    "Hey." says the girl from behind to Roberto and Roby.


    The guys are looking at the girl and the boy on their back, all looking creeped out because of the similarity of their facial feature. Then, at the same time, they asked the same question.


    "Who are you?"


    The girl with brown long hair, looks at Roberto, Roby, and the other kid, the one with long hair by tied like a ponytail. The surrounding kids didn''t pay much attention to it, because at the moment the teacher got into the class, and he started to introduce himself. Soon, the four students decided to look at their homeroom teacher and listen to what he has to say to them.


    "Hello, students! My name is Urluescu Gavril. And I am the teacher which will be teaching you students biology, and also your home room teacher. As you can see, here, at the table of teachers, are approximately one hundred school books. In order of your seats you will come and take the books. We will start with the row from the right wall."


    The first student comes to the teacher desk, he takes five school books, then he goes back to his seat. After that comes the other students from the left wing, then the ones from the middle rows, and finally the last row, taking the final books. There was none student left out with a school book which is something surprising.


    "Now. I would like to meet all of you, and we will be starting with the left row from the wall."


    The first student raised up from his seat, and he tells his name to the teacher. Then, the teacher notes the kid name on a piece of paper. After that comes the other one, and he does the same thing to every student. He notes the name of them because it will be used as a checking sheet, until the Catalog will be made and ready to use.


    "My name is Alda Roberto. Nice to meet all of you." he says looking at every classmate from this room with a positive reaction, and at the teacher.


    "M-My name is Greuceanu Roby." responds Roby to the students and teacher.


    "My name is Popescu Roberta." says the girl with long brown hair, dressed with black and white clothes, to the students and the teacher.


    "My name is Anton Robert." responds the fourth student with a ponytail that looks the same as the other three students.


    The teacher only raised his eyebrows as these four students finished their introduction and continued with the others without saying anything.


    After finishing the introduction and calling, he speak to them about this school, how are things going to follow and finally, he write the schedule of tomorrow day to the blackboard from this classroom. Which some students write it, or other, as Roberta, took the phone and snapped a picture of it.


    Then, the students are leaving the classroom to prepare for the next day, all leaving in an uncivilized manner. As the kids left the class, the quadruplets were the last one remaining because they were all looking at each other crept out , and walking on almost the same length, before they were about to leave, the home room teacher asks them.


    "Are you the quadruplets born in 24 December 2001?"


    They looked at each other not knowing to say, then they backed down, point at each other and said at a high voice tone, and said at the same time.


    "Your birthday is on 24 December 2001?"


    The three brothers and sister are slowly looking at the homeroom teacher, who is staying at the desk, and he takes his phone from the pocket to search for the proof.


    "I think you four were never able to meet. After your birthdays, all four of you have got separated." he looks at them, then he sighs. "Your parents never mentioned you have a brother and sister, maybe three?"


    "No." says Roberta. "They didn''t say anything about it."


    "Neither mine." says Robert.


    "No." responds Roberto.


    Roby only shook his head in disapproval. The teacher is feeling weird because he has told them a thing their "own" parents never told them. He calls the students to come closer to his desk, to show them the article of the four students from the newspaper 15 years ago. The four siblings got close to the phone and looked at it, they read it on their thoughts, and after they took their phones off the phone, they are looking at each other.


    Roberta kicked the leg of Roby, not so hard, and this made Roby says a big "Ouch!", grab his leg and tell her in an angry manner.


    "What was that for?"


    "Sorry." responds Roberta. "I thought we can feel each other pain. Like twins."


    Then all of a sudden, the other three students are feeling a quick pain on their legs, the exact zone where Roberta kicked Roby to be precise. The four of them are looking in disbelief at each other. Roby, after his pain was gone, he looks at his teacher.


    "But, how do you know we are the same as the one in the picture?"


    "Because of three factors." responds the teacher to Roby. "The article was made on 24th of December, and I was on that day at the Hospital as an assistant and helped you come upon this world. And, the chances of seeing four people having the same appearance, on the same city, and staying at the same school, it is an impossible probability. And the earlier myth from a few seconds ago about the twins feeling pain."


    "Really?" asks the four siblings at the same time.


    "Yes."


    Then, the teacher proceeds to tell the story of their birth on 24th December.

 Chapter 2 - Miracle of Birth

    It is a normal day of 24th December here on Pitesti. A day when common Christians are celebrating Christmas Eve. Or other people celebrate other holidays such as Christian Feast day, Independence Day in Libya and Days of Military Honour in Russia. But in Romania, it is celebrated Christmas Eve since most of its population has the Orthodox Christian religion.


    But many people, do not have the privilege to celebrate the Christmas Eve, especially Doctors, Retail Store Workers, Programmers, and many more, since their work is hard and without stopping. Sometimes when you get a job you have to push away your happiness and do work in order to get papers which will be used to guarantee the life on this Earth. It can be either miserable, average or excellent, but now depends on your view, not others views.


    And on this day, the person who has become a homeroom teacher of the Grade 9 E, is checking the data of the patients at the desk. He looks through all of the papers a bit concerned about the injures of some patients got on the day of 24th December. One of them is written he suffers a broken head due to a crash with a slide into a house. Another file states about a woman who has a pickle stuck on her women genitals. But the file who stood the most of all nine was of a pregnant patient.


    "Sixteen years old girl pregnant. Having quadruplets. Name unknown, and father unknown. Address not specified and family relatives not shown..." says Urluescu Gavril reading the document of that pregnant woman. "Who is this person?"


    He sees a few doctors running on the hallways, to the elevators. One of the doctors saw Gavril at the desk, and he orders him to let the things there and come assist them at a pregnancy operation. Gavril has let the files under the desk, and runs to the elevators, where the other three doctors and four assistants are waiting for him.


    "What is going on?" asks Gavril to a doctor, an old doctor with a short grey hair.


    "The teenage girl is going to give birth, today. We have to move quick!"


    "Really?" asks Gavril surprised.


    "Yes." says a woman assistant.


    As the elevator got on the floor where the pediatry is floor it is situated, Gavril and the other doctors are running to the operation room, where they quickly dress into their uniforms and proceed to make this birth fast and careful. But thankfully, the birth was a success as you (the reader) can see, but not a success for the woman who has died when the last baby was born.


    The first brought to this world was Robert at 9:21.

    The second one was Roberta at 9:27, being six minutes later than her brother Robert.


    The third child came faster than Roberta, it was Roby, this one came at 9:29, being only two minutes late than Roberta.


    And the last one, is Roman, who came at 9:30, being only one minute later than Roby. And this last birth, was the one who ended the life of the teenage girl who brought four kids into this world. Even if she hadn''t died, she would never be able to grow the kids because of the lack of data and the fact that she has no home. But the homeroom teacher never told them the woman died when she brought Roman to the world, this would have made Roman feel very sad and fall into a depression state.


    This teenage came yesterday into this Hospital, with no parents, nor accompanied by anyone. She came at a time when outside was at a temperature of -24 degrees Celsius, a temperature that will never be reached on this time because of climate change and people who manipulate weather for their own good. The staff of the Hospital reserved a room for her, after they saw the huge belly of the woman and saw her water broke the moment she entered the Hospital. They have let her on the Hospital beds for free and care for her until the time of birth would come.


    But when she died, the staff of the Hospital were crying because of her death. It is not very rare to see teenage girl giving birth at an age where they should think about their studies and boys, but the fact that this woman brought four healthy babies to this world without any deformities shows how lucky and strong was the woman. But. Who is their father? A question that will unfortunately never be answered.


    After her death, the Romanian press has made a lot of articles about this mysterious woman who brought quadruplets on the 24th December. Some of them states that this is a miracle from the God itself, while others were speculating the Dad''s of these kids might be a celebrity. But this became a boring subject after two or three days later like any new subject at that time when newspapers were still popular in Romania at that time.


    After a few days in the Hospital, all four kids were sent to the Orphanages. And from there, they spent only a few days together, before they got adopted by four different families.

    The quadruplets are all staying on the room, shocked and very terrified by the fact they are all related and have a mother who disappeared. The teacher did not state that the mother died when she brought Roman to the world, which made all four of them state that their mother is alive, but she ran away from them, abandoning at the Hospital and at the Orphanage.


    "I cannot believe this." says Roman looking at his brother and sister. "I never thought I had a brother, yet been hit with the fact that I have two brothers and a sister. And all looking identical to me."


    "What we should do now?" asks Roberta.


    "I don''t know." says the homeroom teacher. "It is now up to you four. Now, if you will excuse me." he raises from the teacher desk. "I have to fill some reports. All four of you should leave because we are going to close the school and reopen tomorrow."


    "Bye, sir!" says the teenagers, feeling a bit weird by leaving the classroom and walking into a group.


    Outside the school Roberta, who was about to walk to the bus station, she look at her brother, and she asks them.


    "Hey! o you want to come at my house? My mother prepared miso soup."


    And all three brothers, have agreed to come at her house. Even though they are feeling a bit awkward by this situation. But this is a good opportunity for the quadruplets to become closer to each other.

 Chapter 3 - Robertas Home

    The four teenagers are at a bus station, waiting for the bus with number 2 to arrive. They plan to go to Roberta house because she is the one who invited these boys. And this is a good moment for the quadruple to know better and the families who are taking care of them.


    As they stay on the bus station, all four of the brothers are standing there in silence, not knowing what to say to break the ice. Then, Roby decides to break the ice by asking.


    "Have you ever thought this?"


    "Thought what?" asks Roman.


    "That all of us will meet in the same class? And be quadruple?"


    "Never." says Roberta.


    "No." says Robert.


    "No." responds Roman. "But I always had a hunch that I might be related with someone. But never thought it would be two boys and a girl."


    "Good thing we know that now." says Roberta. "Otherwise I would''ve fallen in love with you, guys."


    She laughs, then all the three boys are laughing at this. The fact that this would''ve happened is making them feel much better because this would''ve become an Alabama or either an Austrian or Balkan normal marriage. And Romania it is not classified by Geographers as a part of Balkans, but people from other sides of the world (and American and China) classifies as a part of the Balkans.


    "Hey, the bus is coming!" says Roby and Robert at the same time.


    The four brothers are getting into the bus with number 2, they put their tickets they''ve bought tomorrow to the device of stamping, and after that, they go to the four seats at the back, being the last seats available on this bus. Roberta takes the seat on the left, Robert and Roby takes the seats in the middle, and Ramon takes the one on the right.


    "We got good seats." says Roby to his brothers and sister.


    "Yes." says Roman. "Roberta. Is it alright for your parents to let us in your house?"


    "Um. Yeah." says Roberta after she closes her phone to send a text message to her adoptive mother about the thing she is coming home with her lost brothers. "Anyway, guys. All of you live here in Pitesti?"


    "Yes." responds Roman. "I live near Dedeman block."


    "Wow. Very close to where I live at." says Robert. "Which street you stay at?"


    "Nicolae Balcescu." responds Roman.


    "I also stay there." says Robert shocked. "How come we never saw each other until now?"


    "No idea." responds Roman also curious about this. "But I probably have seen you at least one or two times while I was going outside for groceries or at the middle school."


    "You have attended at Mihai Eminescu?"

    "No. I was at Tudor Vladimirescu." responds Roman.


    "Me too, Roman." responds Roby. "I was in A."

    "I have attended Marian Preda." says Roberta.


    "By the way. Where are you living?" asks Roman to Robert and Roberta.


    "I live at Exercitiu street." says Roberta.


    "I live at Gh. Doja." says Robert making three of them surprised.


    "Wait. You stay near the high school?"


    "Oh, yeah." says Robert. "But don''t worry, my parents are cool with going over anywhere."


    "Mine are not so strict." says Roman. "Even though they bought me almost everything and never let me leave the house occasionally, they let me go around Pitesti."


    "Mine are mostly working outside Pitesti. I live with my big sister." says Roby.


    "Huh? Big sister?" asks Roberta.


    "Yes. Apparently, they adopted me because my adoptive mother was not able to conceive a second child, and she adopted me." says Roby to his brothers. "Anyway, do you guys are having any big or small brothers or sisters besides us?"


    "No." responds Roberta, Robert and Roman.


    "Oh. Okay."


    "How is the life with a big sister?" asks Roberta curios.


    "She is ten years older than me, so it is not so big deal. A few years ago we used to share a room, and now we both are having our own rooms."


    "Nice." says Robert.


    "We are about to drop off." says Robert raising from her seat and going to the door who will be opened by the bus driver.


    Her brothers are getting off from their seats, and they are waiting for the doors to open. As the bus doors opened, the passengers of the bus, not all of them, left the bus, all going to their destination on foot. The quadruplets are crossing the street and continue to walk the famous hill of Pitesti that it leads to the Pediatry Hospital of where the kids have been brought to this world, and the street of where Roberta lives on her apartment with her mother.

    A few minutes of walking, the quadruplets have come in front of the apartment complex where Roberta lives. This was a hard obstacle for Roman and Roby who aren''t a big fan of the physical exercise, but for Robert it was not very hard sice Gh. Doja also has a hill that is quite a challenge for some people living there. And for Roberta, this is a normal walk to her home.


    The guys are looking at Roberta''s home. They see she lives in an ordinary apartment building that was built on the Soviet Union time. Almost thirty years ago, Romania was under communism, but thankfully, the communism fell and the people of this country are having a better life expectancy. Anyway, their apartment buildings are far much superior and better than ones from other places, such as America, China, France, Britain and many more countries who are having their western mindset.


    At the front of the apartment building, Roberta opens the door of the building. The boys were not surprised by the security of this building, after all, not every apartment has a security level such as a buzzer because the landlords thinks this is expensive and very useless. Most of the landlords in this city are old people who don''t know a maniac might be entering a complex building, assault somebody and kill the victim.


    "Nice house." says Roby. "Mine is bigger."


    "Really? At what floor you stay?"


    "Third floor."


    "What a coincidence?" says Roberta happy. "I also live on the third floor."


    These four kids are climbing the stairs to the third floor. It was not hard for Roberta and Roby, but for Robert and Ramon was kind of hard since these two live in a house without a floor, only rooftop. And they walk a few more steps until they got at a door that displays number "303" coloured in yellow. Roberta observes the door is locked, so she knocks on the door two times and says.


    "Mom! I''ve come home! With some friends."


    In a few seconds, the mother of Roberta opens the door, she looks at her adoptive daughter, then she sees the three boys that resembles the girl face. The mother of Roberta is looking at the boys, then at Roberta, with a grin, she teases her.


    "I was not expecting to come with boys."


    "Mom!" says Roberta almost red.


    The boys are hiding their grins and laughings.


    "I was joking, sweetie." says Roberta''s Mother. "Now. You three must be her brothers. Come in."


    Roberta''s Mom lets Roman, Roby and Robert enter the house, then Roberta comes, feeling a bit embarrassed because of her mother teasing. The Mother of Roberta closes the door after, and she goes with the four kids at the kitchen, where Roberta''s Mother will be serving four portions of soups.

 Chapter 4 - Newspaper

    As the three boys sits at the table, they feel a bit awkward because this is their first time being on a girl''s house. Especially the fact that the girl is their sister.


    In all of their years, they have never been in a girl''s house because they kind of have unlucky with girls. Roby and Robert would look like the guys who would have luck at getting a girl, rather than Roman. But, this is more awkward for them because they are at a girl house, who turns out to be their lost sister.


    Roberta is feeling a bit anxious on inviting them over here, even though it was her idea. She never thought the tension in the air would be so tough. She knows at the beginning it would be hard for them to do this, but they have to get used to it because they are now classmates. And who knows, maybe in the near future, college classmates.


    All the four kids are staying at their table, eating the soup Roberta''s mother has especially made for this occasion. The soup is one made with pork meat and beans. A delicious soup that this family''s of Roberta''s occasionally eat.


    "You four of you are classmates." says Roberta''s Mother.


    "Yes, Mrs. Popescu." says Robert to Roberta''s Mother. "All four of us are classmates."


    "What a wild coincidence, am I right?" says Mrs. Popescu.


    "Have you done something, Mother?" asks Roberta to her adoptive mother.


    "No, dear. The soup is good." says Mrs. Popescu.


    "Not the soup, Mom. I meant this. Have you plotting something?"


    "No, dear." says Mrs. Popescu. "I didn''t plot anything. In fact, I never knew the other three of your siblings would be here in Pitesti."


    "Close to Pitesti." says Roby. "I live in Bascov."


    "I see." says Mrs. Popescu to Roby remark, and she looks at her daughter. "Honey, I never thought a day like this would come?"


    "Why didn''t you tell me I was having brothers?"


    "Because we thought this would have done something bad to you."


    "Bad?" asks Roberta''s surprised. "What do you think it would have happened? I would have been kidnapped or something like this?"


    "Honey."


    "Mother. You should have told me this."


    "If this helps you with something." says Robert to Roberta. "My parents neither told me about the fact I have three siblings who look like me."


    "Mine neither." says Roman who almost finished the first bowl of soup.


    "My parents only told me I have brothers and a sister. But they told me they died." says Roby, making everybody at this table look at him, shocked by this information.


    "Why would they say something like this?" asks Robert to Roby.


    "I have no idea." says Roby looking at Robert, and he looks at all of his brothers and sister. "But I am glad it turned out to be a lie. I was feeling a bit bad that my brothers and sister have died, while I was the only one alive."


    The other three siblings did not say anything at the table, they are having the save feeling, glad all four of them have meet each other in the final. Roberta''s Mother, rise from the table, and she tells the kids.

    "Stay here. I have something to give you."


    Mrs. Popescu leaves the kitchen, letting the kids enjoy the beans soup with pork meat, and a big container with miso soup. She made two soups because this family, even if it consists into three members, they eat a lot on the dinner. Sometimes they even invite neighbours in when there is a special occasion such as a birthday, a holiday in Christian orthodox calendar or just as a normal Sunday night.


    While Mrs. Popescu was gone, Roman, has finished the first bowl of soup. He puts the hand on his mouth to cover the barf was about to be unleashed from the mouth of this teenage boy. The other three siblings of his are looking at him.


    "You already finished?" asks Roberta.


    "Yes. And it was delicious." says Robert, and he looks at the pot with miso soup on the table, she looks at Roberta and points it. "Can I get seconds?"


    "Sure." says Roberta.


    And Roman took his bowl that was used to eat the pork soup. He poured into it the miso soup. About five ladle he took from that pot. And he eats the second portion slowly, unlike before.


    "You sure are hungry." points Roby to his brother.


    "Yes." says Roman continuing to eat the miso soup.


    "Here it is." says Mrs. Popescu entering the room with an old newspaper, and she glimpse at Roberta. "Your grandfather used to collect newspaper. You remember?"


    "Y-Yes." says Roberta who barely remembers his grandpa because he died thirty years ago.


    "And what I have here it is the article of your birth."


    Mrs. Popescu, makes some free space on the table, by moving the pot with miso soup to a counter table on the kitchen. She then, puts the newspaper on the table, and lets the kids look into it.


    Robert takes the newspaper. As he is looking at the newspaper he is feeling surprised to see they are on the front cover. On the front cover it shows four babies, laying on their back on a hospital room, and wearing hospital uniform for babies. On the cover it also says, next to them the following title: "Four kids have been brought in 24 December, but with the cost of their Mother dead".


    "On the day of Christmas in the year 2001," reads Robert the newspaper to his brothers and Mrs. Popescu, trying to make short and understand for them. He cannot get everything right because this newspaper is about a decade and five years old being kept in a poor state. "a miracle and a tragedy have happened in Pitesti, where an unknown lady has entered the Hospital gates, with her water broke. The reports at the Hospital are stating the woman was not escorted by someone. "She came here by herself" said Daniel Robert, the doctor who brought the kids to this world. While the birth was a success, the mother passed away due to birth complications. For the kids, it is unknown what fate they will have, but on the next days, they will be taking from the Hospital and put on the nearest Orphanage in Pitesti."


    "That''s it?" asks Roberta after he saw Robert has stopped to read.


    "Yeah." says Robert curios, and he shows his friends a part of that newspaper page is missing, especially the one where the article is supposed to be.


    "How did it happen?" ask Roberta to her adoptive mother.


    "Maybe your grandpa had an incident which tore a bit off the page, but who knows, at least you four have found each other."


    "It is weird the page was tore at the important part, don''t you think?" asks Robert to Mrs. Popescu after he handed the newspaper to Roby to see for himself the article of their birth.


    "What? You think I did it?"


    "No, no, no. I think it was an accident." says Robert to Mrs. Popescu who for a moment was looking in disbelief at Robert.


    After Roby has looked at the newspaper article, he hands it to his sister, then her sister is looking at it, and it hands it to Roman, who has finished the second bowl of food. He looks at the newspaper, and then he asks his friends.


    "Hey. I know this doctor."


    "You do?" asks the other three brothers at the same time, feeling really creped out, but also the feeling of "getting used to it".


    "He is a great doctor of my family." says Roman. "Why did I never think he was a doctor on the Podiatry Hospital, but it does have sense he always called me "Robert or Roby" from time to time."


    "He sure is." says Mrs. Popescu. "And where is the doctor?"


    "He is on vacation in Germany. I believe in almost a week he will come back." says Roman. "Yesterday I was trying to get one of those documents to use it at Physical Education."


    "To do sport?" says Robert to Roman.


    "To skip sport." says Roman to Robert.


    "So. We have to do it then?" asks Roby to his lost brothers and sister, who all are nodding in agreement to this decision.


    When that doctor will come back from Germany, they will resume their searching. In the meantime, they can enjoy their teenage years and the freshmen''s days at high school.


    They do not stay long at the house of Roberta''s, only about thirty more minutes, until Roman eats another three bowls of miso soup and one bowl of Pork meat soup. The boys are leaving Roberta''s house, and are heading to theirs, where they have to prepare themselves mentally for tomorrow.

 Chapter 5 - First School Day

    It is a new day here in Pitesti, a new sunny and cold day for the teenagers, kids and toddlers to begin a new time of their life that will become repetitive in the next years of their lives, first day of school. And this is a special day for some people here because they will start their high school life with a bang.


    Robert crosses the street that leads it to the high school he will be attending for the next four years, but he is not walking alone on that cross-walk, next to him is a good friend of him, neighbour and classmate. That next person is a boy by the same age as Robert, hair fresh cut, a few acne points all around his face, brown eyes and under the nose, if you look closely, you can see about five to six hair thread that were going to become a moustache in a few years.


    "Are you nervous?" asks his friend.


    "No, Andrei." say Robert to his friend, Andrei, walking out of the cross-walk and to their high school they will be attending. "You?"


    "No¡­ What about them?"


    "Who?"


    "Your lost brothers." says Andrei.


    "So the rumours are spreading already?"


    "A bunch of us were listening outside with a cropped door while you, Roberta, Roby and Roman, I think, were talking to our home room teacher. And I was one of them."


    "I see." say Robert not fazed by this because he kind of know this will happen, one way or another. "But I did talk to a few of them last night. They are alright."


    "Alright?" asks Andrei a bit surprised. "Dude, they are your look-a-like brothers and sister. This is something more than "Alright."."


    "Then, what would you do if you had found out you have two brothers and a sister that are look alike."


    "I would have the time of my life." he looks at the school entrance, and he see the brothers of Robert, waiting for him at the school gate. "Here they are."


    "I can see." say Robert, and he walks with Andrei to that group. "Hello!" he waves at the group, and the group waves back. "Want to meet them?"


    "We are classmate."


    "Ah, right." says Robert who forgot for a moment his neighbour dropped the application to a good school in favour to be in the same class with his childhood friend.


    Upon Robert''s arrival, the three kids were talking about the school happily and wondering what their classes would be like, while Robert is feeling very tired. The brothers don''t know this, but Robert, stood up all night researching about quadruplets brothers. He stood until 2 AM on his computer, looking for any incident that happened like that in Pitesti, but all he found was the incident article it was mentioned yesterday at the dinner they''ve had at Roberta''s.


    Robert doesn''t want to show he is tired to his brothers and sister, so he is trying to fake it by playing the role of being energized and ready for school, but then, he lost the act when Roberta told them.


    "I didn''t find anything about our case."


    "Neither I did." say Roby about to fall asleep anytime.


    "I did try to contact the doctor from Germany, but no luck so far." says Roman.


    "I stayed up until 2 AM searching about the cases of quadruplets, but not any information." says Robert, who is making the other members of this group feel bad.


    "What are you all so sad for?" asks Andrei who doesn''t know until now these four kids are looking around clues to see if they can find their birth mother.


    "I will be explained it to the class." says Robert to Andrei. "right now, let''s go. We have three minutes left until the ring bell."


    And the group of four look-a-like siblings are going to class, together with Andrei, who decided to tag along with them.

    The first period they have to their first Tuesday at school, is Romanian, a subject that is essential here in Romania high school. A subject very important to the BAC exam the high school students are going to face when they get into twelve grade and need a diploma to get a job. Or if they do not do a BAC exam, they will still may be able to get a job, but their salary will be under minimum normal looking salary for a man working as a cashier with BAC exam. And nowadays, you would be able to even get a job with a successfully BAC exam result because most companies or workplaces requires people with diplomas from University.


    Letting that aside, the four brothers sit at their benches and are looking bored at their teachers who are trying to make everyone introduce themselves to the class and to the teacher. They were first to start because this teacher of theirs, is having the thing to meet the back seaters rather than the front seaters. And this teacher, didn''t even know about the case of these quadruplets, and how they were separated from their birth.


    When all of the fourteen students in the interior of the class have been telling everyone from the class their names, what they like and where they stay, the class has started. The teacher, he is going on the blackboard, he writes it with a piece of white chalk his name, and after that, he proceeds to tell them about the subjects they are going to "learn" in their first out of four years.


    "Now. The first lesson you will encounter will be about the famous fairy tale called "Greuceanu" written by the infamous writer Ion Creanga. And you should remember well, because this fairy tale has always been thrown into the BAC exam as the third subject. Now, who from here knows what does the third subject of the BAC exam consists of?"


    Nobody answers the question in the next three seconds. Not because they don''t know what is subject three about, they know, but they do not have any idea how to tell to the teacher. Out of sudden, to make everyone from the class surprised, Roby rises his hand, and when he was called by the teacher to answer, he says.


    "It''s about a three pages essay about the story itself."


    "In a nutshell?" says the teacher. "Yes. But it is more than that. It''s about the- "


    The teacher proceeds to tell the student about the third subject, what it is about, what it consists and what are the stories they have to read and learn their essays for the next four years to come.

    The four brothers are looking at Roby, who is sitting back in his seat, and he is looking at the teacher explaining about the third subject of the exam. Nobody really cares about because they still have three years to chill in high school and focus on making memories. But for Roby, who has always been interested in literature, it seems fascinating. He surprised all of them because Roby seems the type of high scholar who would enjoy outdoor activities such as football or cyclist. And why cycles? It is because Roby is in the team member of cyclists from Pitesti regionals.


    After the first period has ended, and when the teacher has left the class, some classmates are walking to the tables of quadruplets, and all ten of them wanted to talk with the three brothers and the one sister. The brothers were a bit overwhelmed by the fact hey became the main attraction on the first day of school.


    "You four never met each other before this?" asks one of the student girls with ponytail and blonde hair.


    "No." responded the four students at the same time, this time, they did not get surprised even a bit because they already got used to it.


    "How''s life having a brother?" asks a male student that is having brown hair.


    "Do you people live together?" asks another student.


    "Is the sister available?" asks a student from outside the class, that is not even their classmate, but he somehow heard the rumours of quadruplets going into this school. Then, when he saw some students looking at him, he chickens out of there.


    "Hey, hey!" says Roby to steer the classmate who gathered at their backbenches. "One question at the time, alright?"


    The classmates decide to listen to Roby, but before they could state their questions, Robert raises from his seat, and he looks at his brother and his sister.


    "Would you want to go to Carrefour?"


    "Sure." says Roby who was feeling unsure about this.


    "Alright." says Roberta.


    "Okay." says Roman who just finished his sandwich home-made by his adoptive mother.


    Five minutes later, the quadruplets are leaving the store, all carrying things they''ve bought, which his totally different from one to another. Roman has bought a Coca-Cola soda, Roberta bought one bottle of mineral water and biscuits, Robert bought one bag of Cheetos and Roby, hasn''t bought anything. He didn''t want to buy anything because he is a type of person who is feeling a bad for himself when he spends money when he is not hungry for food or any other desires.


    "Why don''t you buy anything?" asks Roman.


    "I didn''t feel like it." says Roby. "Besides, LUCA would open at ten o''clock (LUCA''s a small bakery who is having at least three different shops all around Pitesti, and it sells a big variety of food, but it depends on the shop)."


    "I might also go there." says Roman to Roby.


    "Have you two noticed." tries Robert to say.


    "What?" asks Roberta and Roman at the same time.


    "We have become the main attraction of the high school."


    "And?" asks Roberta. "Isn''t normal to people start speaking about us because you never see four siblings, abandoned and reunited at a high school. Especially in a small city like this."


    "We are the seventh-biggest city." says Robert. "But yes. I know that. Anyway, what do you think about our classmates?"


    "To be honest¡­" says Roman after he walked with his sibling at the gate of entrance. "There are some classmates that we shouldn''t be messing with, you know? Like the one at the window row."


    "You mean this one?" asks Roby pointing at their classmates who sit at a table, and are smoking cigarettes.


    "Y-Y-Yes. These types of people." says Roman feeling already feared he sees those three classmates who look like normal delinquents who could beat the people for no reason other than money.


    The four siblings were looking at those delinquents, and turn their heads from them, soon as they were about to make eye contact. Those delinquents look like the type of students who would likely go after a girl and use her body to get money, or steal money from poor and defenceless teenagers. But as soon as they tried to steal from a grown man, they would shit their pants and run as fast as they can from there.


    The siblings are entering the high school grounds, they walk to the door and head back to their classroom. While they proceed to walk upstairs, they meet their homeroom teacher whom they saluted with a normal "Buna ziua!" ("Good day!"), and they spoke with him for a few minutes about their classes they''ve had and their first period experience as teenagers from high school. Then, when the bell rang, the siblings and their homeroom teacher are going to do their work.

    The second period of these four siblings class was Mathematics, but it wasn''t one like Romanian language period because this was a two-period subject, which is ninety minutes of class, rather than forty-five minutes like any other periods they are going to have. And this period was the boring one they can have because they have a teacher that doesn''t care about students or their grades, is that type who just teach the lesson to those interested in the subject, and doesn''t waste at least a minute to explain to a student the definition again or how to resolve the exercises on noted on the blackboard by the teacher.


    Roberta, Roman and Roby, were founding this subject hard to understand and how to resolve their first exercise from an eight grade (yes, in the first classes of Mathematics you will mostly do a small recap on the grade eight to prepare them for a pointless evaluation for some students), but thankfully, Robert is good at maths and in secretly he helped them to the next five exercises. He also helped Andrei, who was sitting on the bench on the other row.


    When the bell rang for a second brake, the teacher proposes something that high schooler hate, but university students love (depends on the student).


    "With or without break?"


    "Without." said someone from the first row.


    "Alright." says the Maths teacher. "Now, to resolve this exercise, you have to add-"


    And the four siblings, together with the rest of the class are looking at the student who did this thing. They looked at him, while he was writing the exercise solved on the blackboard to his big notebook, with the lust of jumping on him to tear his tongue apart and dismembering his own body.


    Now, the rest of the class, were 45 exhausted minutes, for most of the class, but this came with a cost, they got a break from the minute forty. Now, this good for any university student because some of them are having jobs after class, and they can enjoy a small twenty or thirty break to help them get earlier to jobs or to classes if they have a second university to attend.


    After this period, it comes the fourth period, and that is Religion. A period where the teacher, who was a female on her thirty, the teacher decided to do what in Romanian language period has done, a period to meet the teacher and where the teacher was telling them stories about her life and a some about the Gods of Christianity.


    When the Religion period has ended, the class of the brothers are having another boring period, French language period. Yes, in Romanian school you are having two language subjects, where most of them are English and French, or English and German, or English and German, but this class was having the popular combination of language subjects, English and French. And this subject was boring for the class because the teacher was hardly trying to make them learn a language that is not even the third most important language to learn nowadays. But, the four siblings, feeling bad for the teacher, they were the only one going to help the teacher to the first lesson, which was only to read a few texts in French. And Roby was having a good accent in French, while Roman and Roberta were alright, but Robert one¡­ was like a drunk Frenchman from rural zone who would drink at every occasion.


    This was a tired subject, but they have luck, when the last subject was their Module subjects. Now, for you people outside of Romania, the Module subject is one that is having at least five or six periods the most, but it depends on the profile of the class. And the quadruplets have got the profile that is mostly on the technology side. But what is most important is that they have to be careful at this profile and be always there because this profile will be written on their graduation diploma.


    Now, their teacher, seeing a few tired students, and being a cool one, she told them they can stay on their phones all period and talk about this school, but under a condition¡­ They have to promise her tomorrow morning (they will have another Module subject with the same teacher) they will take their notebooks and note everything she says about the tomorrow lesson at her Module subject.


    This period passes so fast to the students, because it was refreshing to have a quick one, after a Romanian one, two Maths and one French where the teacher was speaking mostly French. And when the class ended, mall of the students, took their backpacks and left the school, almost in a hurry, all heading to their home. Including the quadruplets who decided to rest after this day.

 Chapter 6 - The bench

    Three days have passed since the four siblings have started the school on the same class. This has been four school days a bit exhausted for them because of the six-hour schedule per. day and the homework, which were forced to Romanian and Mathematics subject, while on the other subjects were mandatory.


    The four high schoolers, rather than going to their homes on this sunny Friday on a temperature of twenty degrees Celsius with no chance of raining, they decide to go to at the Strand Park, sit on a bench, and enjoy some fresh air.


    The moment Robert, Roberta, Roman and Roby have entered the park''s gates, they walk about ten minutes on the Park, looking for an empty bench where they can sit together, and discuss. But, they found something far better, the small place on the Strand Park called "Teatrul de Vara" has about five to six rows of empty benches, and today there is nothing planned, which means this is an opportunity for the four siblings.


    "Good thing we the guard is on the other side." says Roby to his gang, after they have taken their seats.


    "What?" asks Roman a bit concerned. "The security guard would throw us if he would see us here?"


    "No." says Roby. "This guard cannot throw you out from this public park. He would just yell at you, then he would go back to his business, ignoring you the rest of the day."


    "Most of the people here are scared by him." says Roberta to Roby." Ain''t you scared by that brute?"


    "Why would I? I know him." says Roby.


    "You do?" asks Robert and Roberta at the same time, while Roman decides to enjoy a classic "Luca" sandwich that costs about eight RON''s at that time.


    "Yes. He was my Physical Educator back in the Elementary School. He was nice and playful in my class, but when his wife divorced him, the man became something else. The playful and cherish he would give to anyone from my school, has deteriorated and became sad and ignorant. He was also strict at some classes, and jumped into drinking."


    "How awful." says Robert.


    "But, with therapy, as I heard a rumour a few years ago, he became a new man, and he found a job as Park guard or Park employer, or whatever someone at the Park are working."


    "Something like in Regular Show?" asks Roman to Roby. "Where the ten minutes of the show displays the adventures of Mordecai and Rigby trying to small errands in the Park?"


    "I don''t know hat are you saying." says Roby honest. "I didn''t watched cartoons since I was twelve years old."


    "You still watch cartoons?" asks Roberta to Roman.


    "Why not?" asks Roman. "I mean. They are good as a source of entertainment rather than live actions shows or¡­ TV shows."


    "TV shows?" asks Roberta. "You think cartoons are better than TV shows?"


    "Well¡­" says Roman. "Some of them."


    "Some of them? State a TV show that you consider worse."


    "Um¡­ Twilight?"


    Robert and Roby could see Roberta, who sits between them, having a violent energy, going all over her body. Roman knows he has done a wrong move on a girl. But can you blame him? Roberta is his first "girl friend" considering the fact they are lost brothers and sister for almost their entire young lives.


    "Twilight? No. I meant." tries Roman to explain to Roberta, hoping this can repair the damage he has done to her TV shows tasting. "I meant the new seasons of Twilight. Those sure are worse than um¡­ the new cartoons released on the Cartoon Network TV."


    "You Roman." says Roberta. "I do not want to scare you, nor make you depressed. Everyone has their tastes in TV shows. I am not upset. I am a bit upset you tried to put Twilight into an argument."


    "I understand." says Roman, who decides to shut up about the topic of television.


    "How you guys saw another good show?" asks Roby. "I am interested because I just finished binging the first season of Lost."


    "Have you finished the first season?" asks Roberta. "Did you like it?"

    The four siblings continue to talk about shows, TV shows and movies for a few more minutes, until someone appears on the background.

    "Look." says Roberto whispering to his brothers and sister who were still discussing about the difference between animated American shows and animated Japanese shows.


    The siblings saw the teacher walking alongside with the woman in the Park, they were about to wave at him, but the man was too caught in the whatever the conversation with that old lady was having, he wasn''t even noticing the siblings, who decides to walk away from there and go to the nearest shop to busy some snacks and drinks for him and the old lady.


    After the small duo left the said shop, the four siblings can feel some thirsty and hungry for a small snack.


    "Want to buy some snacks?" they ask at the same time, creeping them a bit.


    The four siblings are going to the small bar from the Park who contains drinks who are at an exaggerated price, but since Robert is the only one banknote of one hundred RON''s in his pocket, he decides to do the treat this time. But he also has to be careful with the money because some things have started to get expensive since Winter is approaching the country and the city by the name of Pitesti.


    The small bar inside the Strand Park is having at least ten tables, each having four chairs and umbrellas, that possess the logo of Ciuca? beer as sponsorship where the owner of the Bar is getting added fifty percentage of the sales. The owner of the bar is a bald man with a long beard, he is checking his smartphone, but when the brothers and sister have come to the desk, the cashier looked a little confused at this, he thought he sees four times. After a few seconds, the cashier looks at the four teenagers who are looking at the refrigerator with beer and normal drinks.


    "Hello! What would you like to buy?" asks the cashier.


    "Hello, sir!" responds Robert to the cashier. "We would like to buy four Pepsi bottles and four bags of Lays."


    "Um¡­ Are you four?" he does a sign of the hand showing to the other three persons who are looking at the cashier.


    "Yes, we are related."


    "Oh, good." he says feeling relieved. "Thought I forget my lenses."


    The cashier goes to the shelves where are the Lays put, there are over six different types of chips in flavour and the cashier asks.


    "What flavour would you like?"


    "Paprika." says Roberto.


    "Paprika." responds Roberta.


    "Um¡­ Barbecue." says Roby.


    "Just one?" ask Roman to Roberto, who immediately gave him that angry look to take only one. "Okay. I would like¡­ Mushrooms?"


    "Out of mushrooms." says the cashier.


    "Fine¡­ Barbecue beef ribs?"


    "Alright." says the cashier taking two bags of Lays with Paprika, one with simple barbecue, and one bag with Barbecue beef ribs, which is slightly different in taste that the normal Barbecue. And before he would get the drinks, the brother picked them from the refrigerator, which we''re all Pepsi drinks. The cashier calculates the product amounts and tells the guys.


    "It is about thirty-six RON''s."


    Roberto pays the drinks and the chips bags, they all thank the cashier of the store, and they leave the man, wondering and looking at them as they leave.


    "D-Didn''t I know them from somewhere?"

    On the same bench, the group of four siblings are hanging in there like some good friends, eating chips and drinking juices. And Roberta decides to start some small conversation.


    "Which type of high schooler are you?"


    "Huh?" asks Robert. "Where that came from?"


    "I just wanted to start a small conversation, brother."


    "Well." says Roman. "I would probably be the overweight nerd who is staying all his day on the computer, and one day, he would probably get a girlfriend like in those romance comedies."


    "Continue to dream." says Roby feeling a sad for his quadruplet brother.


    "Sh-Shut up!" says Roman to Roby. "And you would be the jerk jock type."


    "He got a point." says Roberta.


    "Oi. Then you are the pretty girl who thinks she is popular." says Roby.


    "I do not think I am popular." says Roberta to Roby. "Also thank you for calling me pretty." she looks at Robert. "Guess you are the big brother type who knows everything."


    "Y-You might say that." says Robert feeling a little embarrassed by this. "But it doesn''t matter the roles we have, right guys? What does matter is to be ourselves, right?"


    The group is looking a little creped at their brother and they say to him at the same time. All three of them.


    "Cringe."


    "Hey!" says Robert to his brothers and sister.


    The group stays for a few more minutes on the park, until Roman gets a phone call from her mother to come back home because it is starting to be late. Roman takes his stuff, waves goodbye to his friends and walks to his home, then Roby decides to also get his stuff and tells Roman.


    "Wait!" says Roby. "I am also coming with you."


    "Eh. Why?" asks Roman surprised by this.


    "Someone I know lives in the same as yours. It would be troubled to go with you?"


    "N-N-No. Not at all." says Roman a little scared by the face Roby was making when he said that sentence. For him, it looked like something straight up from a horror movie.

 Chapter 7 - Romans Household

    Roman and Roby, two brothers who were lost for a decades and four years, are leaving Strand Park, both of them need to go to the same place they live, and that is on a block that is neighbouring a well-known store for selling construction materials, Dedeman. Now, on a block also lived Robert, but he later moved from there when his father bought a new apartment near the Campus of Students who are attending University of Pitesti (UPIT for short). Roby decided to come along with Roman because he needs to do something there.


    As they got inside the bus number two, paying with their credit cards (yes, both of them haven''t made their subscription for transportation since they are high schoolers), take their free seats, near each other to the window. Roman sit near the window, and Roby sit near to Roman.


    When the bus starts going away from the station, Roby is looking at Roman, he seems a little tense by this.


    "Are you okay?" asks Roby to his lost brother.


    "Yes. I am fine." says Roman.


    "You don''t seem like it." says Roby observing Roman is moving its left leg in a fast move, meaning he is feeling a little agitated.


    After a while, the bus stopped in front of station for Roman and Roby to get off. The two people leave the bus, they take the cross-walk to the other side and walk toward the house of where Roman is living. Roby told Roman he is visiting a person who is living on the same building as he is. The two depart ways when they''ve arrived at the second floor, where Roby continued to go further upstairs where the person was waiting for him.


    Roman enters his apartment, he closes the door after himself, and before he will be about to head to his room, on front of his door there is her mother, who is looking angry, and holds her wooden spoon on a hard grasp.


    "Where have you been?"


    "O-Outside." says Roman feeling scared, not brave enough to look into its adoptive mother eyes.


    "Where? With whom?"


    "W-W-With my friends."


    "Friends?" asks mother curios. "You don''t have friends. They are not your friends. And whom they are? Classmates?"


    "More than that."


    "My sweet child¡­ You are abused by strangers." she says in an uncomfortable way to Roman, she holds his head with both of her greasy arms, and she says with a creepy smile. "These people. Whom you think they are your brothers and sisters, are fake. Fakes to take you away from me."


    "B-Bu..."

    "No, buts my child." says Roman''s adoptive mother, holding her stronger to its face, making Roman feel more uncomfortable. "You are a special kid. A special kid I''ve taken into my care. From that place."


    She looks on the eyes of Roman. She tells him things that would change a human nature of thinking. After while, she was talking nonsense for two minutes, a knock can be heard from door. Roman let her mother go to the door, only to open it and find Roby, who has come holding a wallet who fell on the staircase.


    "Hello, um." says Roby a bit surprised by the looks of Roman adoptive mother, who is fat, blonde and dressed in a normal clothing a mother would wear. "Are you Roman mother?"


    "His wallet!" says the mother shocked, she takes it and looks inside of it. "You''ve stolen its money!"


    "What? No. I- "tries Roby to say, but the mother closes the door on its nose.


    The adoptive mother of Roby, is angry, and she was about to call the police to report it to Roby, but Roman stopped her, telling her about the meeting he had with his friends on this day. The mother looked at him pissed, she smacks him and tells him an angry tone.


    "Stop going out with these strange people! They only want to hurt you! Just like all of your said friends did."


    Roman was always bullied in the primary and gymnasium, even on a kindergarten for a while by a single person. He was a kid who wasn''t very sociable like other kids from its class. He always ended up alone, eating alone in class, play games alone on its phone or his Nintendo, looking at books and comics, and mostly going to at home by himself. He was always ridiculed by his classmates who would always call him "Fat", "Stinky" and such a mean name to him. At his high''s school, everything is a less different, he is not bullied nor ridiculed by his classmates like he used to, now he has friends who are accepting him as who is he.


    "Mom. Stop." says Roman to her mother as she was about to pick her phone to call 112. "My friends are not like them. They not call me mean names. They o not pick fight on me. They are not pushing me to the stairs. They do not throw cardboard milk to me. They are my brothers and sister!" he has takes deep breath, and he tells something who is making her adoptive mother looks angry at him. "Stop controlling my life! You don''t even know me!"


    "How dare you?" asks her mother angrily after a few seconds. "I am your mother. And I am the one who raised you better than that dead mother of yours!" she said angrily at Roman.


    "Don''t you talk that way about my mother!" says Roman angry.


    "Your mother was a bitch! And her kids are monsters!"


    "So, I am also a monster to you?!"


    "No! You are my son!" she said to him after she slapped again its face, this time it was so hard, it made Roman stumble on its feet, and fall on the floor. "Monday I''ll talk with the Principal to transfer you to another school."


    "Mom, don''t!"


    "I am doing a favour. I want you to not be ridiculed by people like this!"


    Roman did not say anything because her mother goes inside of her room, locked her door, and she starts crying and sobbing so hard, it could be heard from the room where Roman was trying to get up on its feet, slowly. Roby, who was still on this scene and heard everything, he slowly opens it door and as he was about to say something, Roman says to him.


    "Thank you. And please, leave me alone."


    "Roman¡­" says Roby worried on his brother case. "Can we talk about it?"


    Roman did not answer to this, so Roby, closes the door and leaves Roman alone to deal with his adoptive mother. He heard everything and he thinks of a way to tell Robert and Ramona about this problem of Roman. He thinks the mother is not normal on her head.


    On the Roman mother room, she stays on her bed, crying and muttering words like "kill them!". "kill", "murder", "bury their bodies". The mother of Roman is thinking to make these people never see each other again.

 Chapter 8 - Romans Life

    When the weekend passed, the four brothers have gone to their high school, some weren''t in a good mood, while others were a bit happy. Roman and Roby haven''t spoken a word about the scene on that Friday to their lost brother and sister because they do not know how to put it in a way to make the mother of Roman not be sent into a bad light and be sent to a psychiatric hospital.


    Roby has told his brother and sister about Roman, he wasn''t telling them about the whole incident he had heard in the apartment. But even if he would try to tell them, he wasn''t having the whole context. He only heard a bit of the conversation of Roman and his adoptive mother.


    "How was your weekend?" asks Robert to Roby as the three of the three brothers are walking on the stairs to school.


    "Good. Yours?" asks Roby to Robert.


    "Good." says Robert.


    While the two brothers and the sister are walking toward their classroom, they observe a familiar figure, in the hallway who is talking with the homeroom teacher. The person who is talking with homeroom teacher is the adoptive mother of Roman, and net to her is Roman, who is feeling a little embarrassed by the mother who is arguing with the homeroom teacher about the moving of her dear adopted son from this classroom.


    "But, ma''am." says the homeroom teacher. "I cannot do it."


    "Why not?" asks the mother of Roman irritated. "Why he cannot move from this classroom?"


    "It is up to him." says the homeroom teacher looking at Roman. "Right?"


    "¡­Yes." says Roman feeling scared.


    "I know what is best for my son! So, I demand you to ignore my kid, and listen to me. I know better than him!"


    The Roman''s adoptive mother proceed to yell and tell his homeroom teacher a few made up lies of why her son is aggressed to his classmates and bullied by his friends. But the homeroom teacher, he knows his pupils won''t ever think of doing that. He doesn''t believe the lies of the adoptive mother on how Roman is bullied by his lost brothers and sister, and he won''t even believe the fact that Roman''s classmates would be doing that, especially when the four kids are in the same group every tie they''re in school, and even outside. He noticed them that time in Strand Park when he was on "date".


    After about five minutes of yelling, another teacher appears. The good thing about the appearance of the second teacher is that this is the second Romanian language teacher, and this teacher is the vice principal. The Vice principal is talking with the adoptive mother and with the homeroom teacher about this case, then the vice principal, observing how the person is speaking incoherent about the reasons why her adopted son should move from this classroom, and lies of being bullied, he started to get the idea that this person is crazy.


    "Ma''am." says the Vice Principal trying to calm the person. "We''ll be looking into your case and see if your son would be moved into another class. But on another school, it would be unlikely."


    "Why?!" she yells the mother of Roman to Vice Principal.


    "That is the procedure, ma''am. We are not allowed to make a transfer of your son to another school that soon. And like the sir said." says the Vice Principal pointing the homeroom teacher of Roman. "It is not up to you, ma''am. Your son has to be sure to move. Besides. You are his adoptive mother. You may have rights, but we know what is the best of kids."

    The adoptive mother of Roman said a few more things, then she storms off from the building, she almost dragged her son, but she got stopped by the homeroom teacher to leave him here because he has classes to attend. The woman leaves Roman here, and storms off the school ground by herself, irritated that she wasn''t able to do anything.


    The homeroom teacher is going with Roman to his classroom, because on this morning they are having Biology, and the laboratory is occupied by grade twelve who are taking their first biology exam for the baccalaureate exam. Then, the other three brothers are going to class, they were hidden at the stairs and listening to whole conversation of his lost brother. The three of them are feeling worried about their fourth brother.

    When the first period has ended, the break comes, and the teacher is leaving the classroom. When the teacher has left, Robert, Roberta and Roby are staying near Roman bench and are talking to him about the whole incident.


    "Roman." says Robert to Roman who is feeling a little afraid. "What was the whole thing at the hallway?"


    "Oh. You''ve seen it." respond Roman embarrassed by this.


    "What is the deal at your house, bro?" asks Roby to Roman.


    "How much you''ve heard?" asks Roman to Roby, feeling a little embarrassed by this.


    "I''ve heard a lot."


    "Okay¡­ My mother. I mean, adoptive mother. My adoptive mother is a bit overprotective."


    "A bit." says Roby surprised. "She literally yelled a lot of bad things about you and us. I''ve heard it in the hallway. Even a neighbour told me while I was my way out that the adoptive mother of yours is having mental issues."


    "Okay. My adoptive mother is controlling my life. I admit it. She controls my life." says Roman feeling a bit relieved he can tell this to someone he knows. "She always implied her idea to shut myself and be an outcast to people around me since I was a little kid. Because of her I''ve never had friends in kindergarten, primary school and middle school. And never been invited to banquette."


    "That''s awful." says Roberta a bit dramatic. She was invited by seven boys from different class back in eight class to a normal banquette, and she was going to all seven of them.


    "Yes. And the worst part was. I haven''t been bullied. My mother paid my classmates and any other kid from my school to bully me, to have a reason why to move me over to another class or school."


    "What the?" asks Robert and Roby.


    "Why would she go that far?!" asks Roberta surprised by this.


    "She wanted to keep me alone to society, not communicating with anyone, not having friends or something like that. I don''t really know."


    "That women should not be allowed to be your mother."


    "Call child supports, bro." says Roby who is usually not the type to be this smart, but the man knows Romanian literature.


    "I''ve tried, but it is no use. They only came, see me and my mother house, then they''ve left the place without doing anything. And this have made by adoptive mother so mad, she yelled at me for several hours and refused to feed me for two days straight. I was starving that day and almost collapsing in the middle of class."


    "That woman is a psycho." says Roberta, and the boys agree to her. "We have to do something."


    "Like what?" asks Roman. "Record her while she is yelling at me and post the video on social media?"


    Then, the four brothers, kept their mouth shut for a few seconds, then all four have agreed by a head shaking to do this.


    There has been cases where a mother was using abusive violence on children recorded, and I most cases, these reordering were used against the adoptive mothers which resulted in the arresting of the adoptive parent, and the kid being sent to either Orphanage to or to a trusty relative of the adoptive parent.     "Yes." says Roman feeling anxious. "If I go to Orphanage I will lose the contact with you."


    "I will be sure to not make this happen to you, Roman." says Rob to Roman.


    "How come?"


    "You''ll see. Now, we have to focus on the plan."


    "You''ve got a plan?" asks Robert to Roby.


    "No." says Roby. "You?"


    "Like always." says Robert in a narcissistic way.

 Chapter 9 - Romans adoptive mother out

    After the school has finished, the entire gang of quadruplets has left the school in group. All looking serious and prepared for one of their first activities they are going to do in group. This activity is not going to be like any other one normal for a kid at their age. This is a mission for them to expose the mother of Roman.


    "You sure this will work?" asks Roman when the group of quadruplets has arrived at the bus station.


    "I am certain." says Robert who was the one with idea. "All you have to do is to play your part, and be careful she will not spot the hidden microphone on your clothes."


    Robert together with the other two friends of his have managed to acquire a small microphone. One that Roberta was having for one of her TikTok videos she was going to record today on the gym school when the break was commencing, but she had to cancel her plans because this mission is far more important than a stupid fifteen seconds musical video with a stupid dance to get a number of insignificant views that a high schooler would find it valuable. Even if they had a microphone, that wouldn''t work as a strong evidence since there is a risk the courthouse wouldn''t believe it and with the rise of voice changing, so to be sure, Roby, being one of the athletic ones, he will climb to the window, and hide his phone on a position which will capture the conversation they will have. This will work as long the conversation will be kept in a place, but in case of Roman''s apartment, in the kitchen room.


    After a few minutes, the bus number two arrives at the station. The group is getting on the bus, and waits for it to arrive to Roman''s house.


    After about thirty minutes, of agonizing traffic of this small city, the quadruplets arrive to Roman''s destination. Now, all they have to do is to put the plan on the move. All the three brothers and sister are crossing the street, they look at the house of Roman''s. All see how at the window of Roman''s house there is the mother of Roman, looking at them like an old lady who has retired from her job and looks on the window at the younglings since she has nothing better to do than take the retirement money check.


    The four family members are shaking their heads on the unison and are commencing the operation to expose the mother of Roman.


    Roman is walking toward the house, while Robert and Roberta are walking to an opposite direction. But Roby, is walking close to Roman, not to close to him because he has done the other part of his plan. Roman is walking to the entrance of the apartment, while Roby goes carefully and silently like a burglar to the fire exit. The athletic brother is climbing the ladder to the floor as fast as he can, but when he was about to reach it, he notices how a window is opening on the right side of Roby.


    That window who has opened from the other side is the one where one of Roman''s neighbours reside. The neighbour is looking at Roby, revealing the neighbour is none other than a male policeman, who is supposed to finish his boring local policemen shift.


    The man saw Roby climbing the upstairs, then he looks at the window where Roman''s family resides. The policeman looked at Roby.


    "I saw nothing." says the [policeman, who somehow read the mind of Roby and goes back to his business, closing the window after him.


    This incident has made Roby feel a little heart attack coming and almost slip on the ladder, but he managed top grasp it strongly and maintain his balance.


    After he observed the coast was clear (the mother of Roman''s wasn''t at the window), he observes a pot of plants residing near the window. He plants the phone of his in there, blending carefully to not be spotted easily, and he turns it on the camera, presses the video option, aims the camera to the window and starts the recording, then he starts sliding down the ladder to the ground, where his other two brothers are waiting for him.


    When he got down, the two are standing near the leader and waiting for his brother message.


    "I saw something weird." confess Roby. "A local policeman¡­ Has let me climb the ladder."


    "Really?" asks Roberta surprised. "Why did he do that?"

    "You should be like that more usually." says Roby.


    Roberta almost smacked Roby for saying something so mean as this, but she holds it. She is telling herself she will smack him later, when this operation will be done.

    On the house of Roman''s, in his living room, the youngest kid of this quadruplets group enters his house. Like always, he takes off his shoes, put it where a bunch of other shoes are placed, and walks with his backpack toward his bedroom. He is going to leave his backpack on the bed, and walk to the kitchen to take something. He has to play natural for this operation, otherwise his cover will be blowned up.


    After he puts his backpack on the desk chair, he leaves the room, abut as he was about to open his room, he cheeks his clothes, and the small microphone under his shirt. He truly is a great device since it is hardly visible. And these black clothes he is wearing is a perfect decoy for him to hide this microphone.


    "Mom." says Roman who entered the kitchen, and walk toward the friend to take something.


    His adoptive mother is sitting on the chair, at the table, in silent, with a cup of coffee on her right and her phone on her left side. The adoptive mother of Roman did not say a thing, she only looked at the wall, angry and holding herself strong enough. Roman can feel this weird sensation coming from her adoptive mother and he is feeling intimated by this.


    "Mom. Are you alright?" asks Roman who just got himself a cup of mineral water from Aqua Carpathian bottle and sits on the chair near her mother. "Are you feeling ill?"


    "Why are you hanging out with your brothers and sister?" asks the mother of Roman.


    "Mom. They are my only family left." says Roman after he takes a few seconds of silence to get the courage to say this. "They are the ones who can help me remember the past, Mom."


    "But they shouldn''t be alive." says the adoptive other not looking at Roman, a thing that made him feel weird.


    "W-W-What?" asks Roman toward her mother. "What are you saying?"


    "You all should''ve died at birth." says the adoptive mother of Roman, a thing that made him more shocked. "You all should''ve died on that Christmas day. Not live sixteen years not knowing the truth of your birth."


    "What are you saying, Mom?" says Roman who is acting innocent.


    "All four of you have been created for a reason." says the mother of Roman, then she rises from her chair, and walks toward a drawer. "A reason so frightens, that it made me have nightmares thinking about you and my future. A future where I and my dear husband don''t want to take place."


    "What future, mom? What are you saying?"


    "This will not matter, Roman." says the mother of Roman taking a pill from that drawer, a small pill by the colour of red. "This will not matter for me anymore. I don''t want to be a part of this scheme anymore. I don''t want to live in fear for the next decades, knowing that I''ve done a terrible thing."


    "Mom! What are you doing with that pill?!"


    "I am not your mother Roman!" says the adoptive mother of Roman who is quickly taking the pill as her son jumps from his seat and rushes to stop it. But it is to late, the adoptive mother of Roman''s swallows the pill, then with a smile she says to her son. "Good luck, Roman. You''ll need it."


    Roman reached her, but this was to late, because the adoptive mother of Roman collapses on the ground. Roman catches the body of her adoptive mother, he tries to yell for help and drags the body of the woman out of the house. He drags it outside the house, and immediately a lot of neighbours shows up, because of the Roman''s yelling and screaming for help, they''ve come and tried to help as much as they can to bring the mother of Roman''s back to life.


    Everyone has tried every method to bring the corpse back to life, but it was to no use, the pill was already in her digestive system, her body temperature was already cold, her pulse wasn''t feeling by anybody and her beautiful eyes have lost the life they were having.


    "Mom! Mom! Mom!" yells Roman crying to her deceased body of her mother. "Wake up, mom! Wake up!... Say something, Mother. Say something, Mother!"


    But it was to no use, the body of Roman''s adoptive mother wasn''t responding. It was cold and couldn''t move a single muscle.


    Of all the people gathered there, there was also the brothers and sister of Roman''s, and the policeman from earlier, who just looked a little disappointed in the body of the deceased woman, as Roman was screaming from heavens to bring his adoptive mother back to life.


    The adoptive mother may have been seen my neighbours and close ones as an unstable person, but to Roman, that was a someone who was taking care of, taking him from the Orphanage and feed him, taught him the life and bought him whatever he wished for the next fifteen years or so. She may have been harsh with Roman, but she wasn''t always like that.


    "How could this happen to her?" asks Robert looking scared and sad at the lifeless body of Roman''s adoptive mother who is taking away by the people specialized on criminalistics.


    This incident will always remain on the heads of these kids. And this is will be one of the clues to solve this big puzzle on why things like this will keep happening to them.

 Chapter 10 - Romans adopted

    A week has passed since this awful incident. A week when Roman was living back to his childhood Orphanage and was close to remain there until he will be getting at the age of 18 if it wasn''t for a known figure to take him to custody until the age 18.


    When Roman got adopted, he wasn''t unsure at first if it was for him or for another kid who goes by the same name as him, but when he saw the person who is going to adopt him, it made all sense. The one person who was willing to adopt a kid like Roman, who has gone such a big trauma a week ago, was a well-known figure to him from Pitesti. The person who adopted Roman is the adoptive mother of Roberta.


    "Why you adopted me?" asks Robert as he was leaving the Orphanage with Roberta''s adoptive mother and with Roberta.


    "It was my idea." says Roberta to Roman. "We couldn''t afford to lose another of us."


    "Not again." finishes Roman the sentence of Roberta. "I also don''t wish that. And I want to find the truth of everything that is happening to us."


    The three people leave the Orphanage and are walking toward a green ?koda. On the driver seat sits an elder person, probably the father of Roberta''s adoptive mother. The three people are getting in the car. Roberta''s mother is taking the front passenger seat, and the two are getting the backseats.

    "So, you must be Roman." says the elder man looking through the mirror of the car. "You look like dear Roberta. But except the fatness and height."


    "Yeah¡­ Thanks." says Roman to the elder man.


    "I found something while you were gone." says Roberta to Roman after the elder man started the engine and start driving the car toward the home of her daughter.


    "Really?" asks Roman curios. "Like what?"


    "We''ve found out who was your adoptive mother working for."


    "How?"


    "Simple." says Roberta. "My grandpa was in police. And he recognized the body of your adoptive mother as one used in sex trafficking industry."


    "For real?" asks Roman surprised by this.


    "For real, son." says the elder man. "That was twenty years ago though. I wasn''t sure at first, but when I saw the incident on the news channel, I recognized the face of the woman and the person she was working for."


    "And we tried to find the person." says Roberta. "But the one she was working for seems that he has died fifteen years ago."


    "His henchmen? A man like him working in this illegal industry must have a lot of people involved."


    "All of their henchmen and right hands have been gone from country, died or have been completely erased from our database." says the elder man. "Our specialized psychologists and criminalistics detectives are doing their best to find one of the reasons why that person has done the unthinkable on this way."


    "So. If the ex-boss is not alive, and not any other of his trusted people are alive¡­ How about their "products"?"


    "We are trying that too." says the elder man who knows what does the word product means. "For now, nothing."


    The car is driving for two more minutes, until it stops at a red light, then Roman, who was done looking around the city, he tells the people.


    "Thanks for adopting me."


    "Don''t mention it." responds Roberta''s mother.
