《Nightfall》 Darkness Arising Not all villains are crooked , not all heroes are good hearted. In reality , who can be blamed , the monster wreaking havoc or the one who created the monster ? Everything is just a matter of perspective. Luis understood that better that anyone. ''Everything happens for a good reason'' was his motto growing up , it gave him hope and strength in hard times. Such as when he watched his father gulped down bottles of beer and shivered out of fear that he would have an outburst and lash out at Luis , or when he had to move from town to town - changing schools , neighbourhoods but not friends though , most times he never stuck around in a place to make friends and if he did , he never bothered to. What was the point of having one knowing that he would have to abandon them at a point ? Back then he was just a thirteen year old , the idea of cellphones and contacting each other hadn''t surfaced on his mind. Something else surfaced in its place though Reading books. Luis had been reading books ever since he was twelve years old. Since he never stuck around in a place and made friends somehow made him into an introvert , not all introverts are book worms. Luis was one though. The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation. Books were his domain , a place he could jump to to escape the cruel fate reality had set in stone for him. He felt like the characters in there were the only individuals that truly understood him , some suffered hardships similar to his own which made him quite emotionally attached. But of course books come in genres. science fiction , fantasy and paranormal were his liking. However , any book related to creepy pastas and such was enough to drive him mad. He always had been mad though , just not being angry. There was one thing Luis was sure of, he was different from the flock. Not in a good light , he was quite the perceptive person and compared people to the ones he read in his novels. Most times he read the novels gave him quite the useful information , that was what he used to figure out the true nature of some people and the intention behind their actions using them as a reference. Most importantly, it was where he got the information about ghosts , spirits and angels. Angels , Spirits , Ghosts - they sounded more than gibberish to Luis , but he wasn''t the type to be scornful of something unless he had seen it with his own two years or had enough solid proof that it wasn''t as bad or good as it seemed. Not all heroes are good Not all villains are crooked Everything truly is just a matter of perspective , whether you''re looking at it as the hero wanting to save the world , the villain wanting to save the world but taking a different path than the hero or even if you''re looking at all of this as the innocent citizen who doesn''t have a say in that. It is important to watch what you say or do , you could either be tagged a hero or villain just by that alone. Monica Grey eyes, pale skin, and a twisted body - It was the scariest thing Luis had ever heard about in his life. The figure was said to be immensely twisted and there was a look of terror it had that was impossible to miss - Ms. Monica had died, and in the worst possible way Luis could have ever imagined. He had of course hadn''t actually seen her corpse, but he heard the whispers amongst the people in the crowd - in the apartment. Monica was quite the extravagant lady who liked doing whatever she liked, whenever she wanted to - which was probably why she had owned that many pets, it was practically an army of feline creatures. She should have been kicked out a while ago or at least her feline creatures should have been. considering apartment owners were quite sensitive about owning that many pets. However, Ms. Monica was quite the wealthy lady and paid 3 times the amount of rent to keep her pets around, so what if her cats made a lot of noise for her neighbors and were sometimes found - well, doing excessively disgusting ''stuff'' in the hallways? The residents could go to hell - or better yet leave if they had a problem with it, It wouldn''t make much of a difference with little Monica around as a cash cow. If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. Which was probably why her death spread around the apartment like wildfire - few people liked her and for the majority of the people ? Luis had no doubt that they had deep grudges and hatred held for her ,Luis even heard a few replies from pure seething hatred ; ''She had it coming , Karma finally got to her'' Most of the people said in hushed whispers. However , there was one thing that made Luis'' blood run cold - What on earth did Monica see that killed her in such a horrifying way? Yes, Monica was not your run-of-the-mill Samaritan, heck - she probably never laid a foot in a church her entire life , but to die like that was a bit cruel, even for someone like her. Ring-Ring Luis heard his phone ring and when he checked he saw a text - ''I am sure you''ve probably heard about the cat-woman living in your apartment by now, I''d love to hear about her - and I am 100% sure the people at work would too. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, don''t screw this up.'' Luis put his phone back into his pocket before he picked up a newspaper he had been reading, written by SunRise - a newspaper company. It was sure going to be a hellish day , more than it already was.
