《Another Typical Uchiha Fanfic》 Day after the end of the War As the Third Shinobi World War has come to an end, peace has restored once again, albeit with many casualties, scarring everyone, both victors and the defeated. Regardless of the war''s outcome, where only a few emerged victorious from the conflict, it gave rise to shinobi shinobi who were revered by their allies and dreaded by their enemies on the battlefield. And as always, Konoha had its fair share of such individuals who fit this description. Minato Namikaze, The Yellow Flash Uchiha Masato, The Uchiha''s Red Fang Kakashi Hatake, The Copycat Ninja Uchiha Fugaku, The Wicked Eye After the end of the Sengoku era, Konoha, formed through the peaceful resolution of the Uchiha and Senju conflict, became the envy of the world, blessed with shinobi in terms of sheer number and quality. However, only those who can see through the illusion of trust and hope realize that the war never truly ended within the village, and Konoha is no exception. Just the war was between themselves in the village rather than foreign adversaries. The rules of this war weren''t about killing enemies outright to force surrender. Instead, the goal was to weaken them until they submitted to the victors'' command, allowing them to be utilized for the victors'' purposes. As the war ends where Konoha is crowned the victor once again in this world, for the third consecutive time, people savour peace, a rare moment to spend with loved ones in the safety of their haven. Despite differences in bloodline and status, they set them aside, each with their own reasons. Unfortunately, only a few have noticed the reemergence of the cold war within the village. In the Forest of Death (Dusk) ------------------- The forest, gaining a moniker known for having creatures far more capable than their normal counterparts, making it one of the Land of Fire''s few places forbidden to civilians. However, for the average shinobi, it posed little threat, often serving as a training ground for Genin to familiarize themselves with hostile environments, such as during the Chunin Exams. A day after the official end of the war, Entry to the forest was sealed in preparation for the next Chunin Exam, with the intent to clear excess trees that might impede navigation for Genin. However, if one listens carefully, faint clangs of steel can be heard in the distance. *** "Clang" "Swish" "Swoosh" As sword clashes among them, the opposite side backpedals to a reasonable distance, creating space between them. To the left was a young man in early 20s, wearing Konoha''s headband on his neck, having his clothes torn and burned. To the right were twelve men, each clad in black, adorned with animal masks, with only the supposed leader of the group wearing goggles. "Give up, Uchiha Masato, and accept your fate," demanded the man with goggles, who was panting alongside his subordinate and associate. They were the Anbu and Root of Konoha, sent to eliminate him, the Uchiha''s Red Fang, because he was considered an ''unstable factor''. "Oh shut up, Aburame Shikuro," Masato smirked as he caught his breath and wiped blood from his mouth, clutching his sword tightly. ''No good, I can''t fight for this long....'' ''I did not expect the elderly to send him as well,'' he contemplated while maintaining his smile. He had anticipated an ambush upon arriving at the Forest of Death for training, expecting retaliation after numerous indirect provocations even though he was a decisive figure during the war and had achieved several accolades. However, he had overlooked the presence of Aburame Shikuro in the Root due to gaps in his memories from his past life. A dangerous Aburame member that can use kikaich¨± to consume chakra of enemies and rinkaich¨± which were used to destroy their cells with poison if they come into contact with it excluding the users of this insect, making it difficult for him to fight at short range with his sword, which was his forte and he would certainly died if didn''t have memories about his capability. He felt a sense of honor knowing that the Konoha upper echelon feared him to the extent that they dispatched forty-nine Jonin from Anbu and Root to assist Shiruko in finishing him off. This challenging fight, unmatched even by encounters with the seven swordsmen, proved their determination. Unfortunately, it was the end of the road for him; he had exhausted almost all of his body and chakra to face them, where only 12, including Shiruko, remained to fight him. The outcome was obvious to Masato, as his capabilities were far from enough to finish them in this state; however, the opposing side hesitated upon seeing his confident smile. They feared he might use his cursed dojutsu to turn the tide, attributing his capabilities and war achievements solely to it. The Mangekyo Sharingan, a Kekkei Genkai that was unrivaled in this world, can only be countered by Wood Release, a Kekkei Genkai that wields by the God of Shinobi. Unaware it was just a facade to stall time to recover and formulate a plan. But it seemed hopeless to proceed with the attack after sensing the jutsu they were collaborating to use. ''I guess I can''t come early nee-chan...'' he smiled bitterly, letting go of his sword to fall on the ground. "Now!" Shiruko ordered immediately, releasing kikaich¨± towards him, while 11 others used their remaining chakra to finish him off using a collaboration fire release jutsu (A-rank). Staring at the attacks, Masato stayed motionless and kept smiling. Boom! Hearing the explosion and seeing lush trees turned into ashes, they were confident they would finish him off. If the collaboration jutsu couldn''t kill him despite the destructive power, the kikaich¨±, Shiruko especially bred to resist flame in exchange of not sensing chakra, would certainly spell death to him as it consumes his remaining chakra used to stay alive. However, their celebration was cut short when they reached the site and did not see his body, which should have remained intact after the attack. "Damn it! He got away!" Enjoying this book? Seek out the original to ensure the author gets credit. Feeling foolish to underestimate him even if the fight was in their favour, they rushed towards the entrance of the forest of death from Konoha, believing he would go there to escape. As they left, Masato sighed in relief and expressed exhaustion, revealing himself inside the ground after using Earth Release: Hiding Like a Mole Technique and Hiding with Camouflage Technique within a moment to avoid the attack and hide from them. If Masato didn''t kill all the sensors during the one-sided fight and didn''t use bug repellent, he bought it to kill cockroaches at home, on his body to repel those insects for coming in contact with him, he would certainly be killed today. ''My luck again turned out great.'' He smiled while recovering his strength and reminiscing about the fight. He was glad he had listened to his gut feeling and kept his shadow clone in Mount Myoboku at the end of the war, just in case he needed Sage Mode to fend off an ''unexpected'' ambush he couldn''t handle without the boost in power. Though he did wish he had more chakra; otherwise, he might have met the requirements to use the perfect version rather than the imperfect one to finish the fight, instead of leaving it for later. At some point, he felt a certain discomfort in his eyes. It was a discomfort he felt from a strange sensation in his eyes, one he thought he would never experience again. First time he felt discomfort from a strange sensation in his eyes was when he awakened his Sharingan, after seeing his hero''s body lying on the floor and after that he now longer felt that sensation after multiple use. Rubbing his eye off after a certain itch, he noticed blood coming from his eye socket. He kept staring at his hand stained with blood, feeling there was something missing until it clicked him. ''Is it what I think it is, or are my eyes just hurting due to exhaustion?'' He thought, excited at the possibility of the former. Pulling a Kunai from one of the flak jackets, he had held on too close to his eyes and was amazed to see a pinwheel design on two of his eyes. ''Did I just awaken by battling them?'' He wondered, theorizing the adrenaline he felt from the battle mimicked the sensation needed to force his eyes to evolve. Regardless how exactly he awakened it, it doesn''t matter as long as the end result was worth it. Even if eyes were no different than glass cannon where the solution to eliminate the side-effects were far accessible at the current moment, he recognise the political power it grants that can assist him to achieve greater leverage in his clan and in Konoha overall as the cold war between them and Konoha upper echelon would intensify, as they were more becoming desperate to hold on their political leverage as they grow older. Patiently waiting for some of his chakra to recover, he decided to see what abilities he had gained access to. He was hoping for the passive ability Madara supposedly have or the Hax ability Obito have, which seem more reliable than others had. However when he attempted to use the abilities of his left eye, he found himself transported inside an empty void. At first, Obito came to his mind, as despite his efforts, he couldn''t change the end result of Obito ''joining'' ''Madara''s'' cause, but he dismisses the thought quickly as he still vaguely remembers the interior design of Kamui dimension, which look nothing like the space around him was just plain vanta black void. There was a possibility his eyes also had similar ability, however, after looking at the words from above, he understood what happened instead. [Ding! Ding! Ding! System requirement has been met! Right Mangekyo Sharigan enables the host to use the shop! ] ''Do all systems suddenly kidnap their hosts out of nowhere, or am I the exception?'' He contemplated and glanced at the things available in the shop the system allowed him to see. He read this kind of system in his past life, specifically in fanfic from his past life that referred to his current world as ''Naruto'', where you usually reach the pinnacle of shinobi when having a system. ''Well at the expense of one''s freedom, but hey at least it works.'' Ignoring the system''s unmentioned agenda, he quickly scanned the shop, only to be disappointed, seeing it lacked anything related to the Kaguya, her children, her grandchildren and her supposed descendents. From their dojutsu that was prized among shinobi to wood release that can control the tail beast to even the Uzumaki''s special body that were naturally sensor and master of Fuinjutsu that can heal any time simply by consuming their chakra, were not available. But, the shop was still valuable as he can get access to elemental Kekkei Genkai such as Lava release to weapons made in this world like Seven swords of the Kiri to even access to jutsus that were inaccessible either due to knowledge to utilize it has been lost or gatekeeped by the inventors to outsiders. Currently he gets one free purchase from here, with the added bonus of fully healing his body and recovering his chakra for once, specifically ideal at this moment. Just the points he needed to purchase them again, were unique and difficult to farm, but it was all worth it as it provides a feature that he deems useful overall. *** As Shiruko and his remaining shinobi desperately searched the forest for Masato for over an hour and used remaining chakra they recover to attack the spot they suspect he''s hiding, they decide to commence Plan B as instructed to them and return with bodies of their fallen allies to use as proof to smear Masato''s name. He was already infamous for abandoning his comrades every time if it was needed to complete a critical mission assigned by the village, so accusing him of committing blatant homicide towards his fellow villagers with their ''proof'' was enough to convince the public of his ''evil doing'' and sentence him to execution. A ''punishment'' of double standards, since they previously slandered the respectful man that did the opposite once and driven to his death by his own hands out of grief. However, they dropped the bodies after being hit by severe killing intent behind them, causing half of them to fall forward. "When did I say you guys can leave?" Masato questioned, looking at them amused, astonishing them when they saw him and his clothes return back to normal, as if a fight had never occurred. ''Wait, did we all fall into Genjutsu!'' Shikuro quickly speculated, seeing no reason how his clothes also remain intact despite their gruesome fight. He was an Uchiha after all, having an eyes infamous for their Genjutsu, so the possibility of him ensnaring them was the most logical possibility he came up with, though the reality was far bizarre than he would reasonably expected. ''Good thing I don''t have to bug the tailor to make this again.'' Masato thought while looking at his distinctive short white sleeve which had red edges on left arm, identical to what white fang wore which instead had the symbol of Konoha Military Police Force on it. Waving hand signs and concentrating chakra in his mouth, Masato decides to test his new purchase. "Ice release: Ice Shards!" ''How is it possible!'' one of them screamed inwards before being impaled by one of the ice shards. In shock at Masato''s revelation of his second Kekkei Genkai, only four managed to react and dodge the barrage of ice shards. Seeing Masato infused his sword with flame, they quickly tried to body flicker away. All four were exhausted both in chakra and vitality, engaging with Masato was sure death as they no longer had the number advantage to beat him. However, as an expert in the Body Flicker technique, escaping in his presence was proved to be futile. "Agh!!" one of them writhed in pain after being struck by the flame sword from behind where Masato quickly closed the distance. Seeing hopelessness of the fight, the remaining three split their ways, in hopes of one of them staying alive to inform their superiors to complete the mission. Unfortunately, they now would be guinea pigs of his curiosity. ''Let''s see the maximum range of the jutsu.'' Gathering his chakra on his mouth, multiple times more than previous amount, he once again waved hand signs. "Ice release: Ice Shards!" Instead of the barrage of ice shards he had previously released, it was a sea of ice shards that emanated from his mouth, covering several hectares and impaling anything within its range. Three shinobi who went separate ways, couldn''t escape its range and were impaled to the ground, though they were still alive as it did not pierced all of their vital points. ''The elderly going to age a lot after this.'' Masato smirked while pulling a scroll from his jacket. *** In Konoha, at Ramen Ichiraku ------------------------------------ Within the village, known for being spacious and heavily populated, there was a humble ramen shop where four people were having their meal, surrounded by Anbu hidden in the surroundings. Despite the aroma that was tempting them to eat, they were vigilant, knowing full well the importance of reporting the details of their exchanges, even how insignificant and harmless the exchanges were inside the shop. "I am telling you, Kushina, you shouldn''t marry a man who is overly devoted to the village," Mikoto insisted while slurping on tomato ramen, while Kushina tried to enjoy Shio Ramen with a stiff smile. "Just look at poor Kakashi, he lost his mother when his father was out of work and lost his father due to accusation despite his dedication!" "There is no point in marrying a man who won''t prioritize you in the end!" "Just imagine, leaving you and your child behind, endangered by your husband''s adversaries who seeked to exalt their revenge," "Miss Mikoto...I am here..." Minato nervously laughed, but soon it turned into sighs while patting Kakashi on the back who Kushina dragged for celebration for yesterday. Minato was just relaxing with Kushina and Kakashi over a bowl of ramen, until Mikoto came and kept indirectly bashing him repeatedly. Minato was long used to her banter, so he only sighed and politely didn''t argue back with Mikoto. ''Well at least Kushina can eat in pea--- never mind, I spoke too soon.'' Minato sighs again with his palm on his face after sensing him coming this way. "Good to see you Kakashi, Blondie, and your showpiece," Masato greeted, while sitting beside his sister. "One Tonkotsu ramen with extra pork with a side of Karaage." Masato ordered, while Minato and Kakashi did their best to restrain Kushina while they could, whose hair were levitating, akin to the nine tails of the tail beast she had sealed inside of her. Understanding how the system work Konoha, The Uchiha Compound (Night) --------------------------------------------------------- After finishing a fragrant bowl of ramen at Ramen Ichiraku, he quickly excused himself, citing training, and swiftly made his way to the Uchiha compound. Nestled in the heart of Konoha, this compound pulsated with life even after dusk. The Uchiha compound, considered one of the largest and most prestigious in Konoha, is part of the four ''noble'' clans, along with the Sarutobi, Hyuga, and Aburame clans. Within its boundaries, one could find everything, from essential goods to clothing stores. However, each clan specializes in unique offerings found only within their territory, making their products highly sought after by others. The Nara clan was famous for their medicine and deer meat, the Akimichi clan for their restaurants, the Yamanaka clan for their flower shops, and the Sarutobi clan for their teaching materials, among other specialties. This was one of the incentives implemented by Tobirama Senju, the Second Hokage, to promote interaction among clans and prevent isolation that could lead to conflict within the village. Cling! Clack! In the case of the Uchiha clan, they were known for their weapons, comprising 1/3rd of Konoha''s weapon supply and selling the best weapons money could buy in Konoha, attracting many non-Uchiha to their weapon shops and blacksmiths. Regardless of occasion, they will remain open, ready to live up to their reputation. Even after the war, the demand for Uchiha weapons persisted. Returning shinobi sought them for various reasons: some as gifts for loved ones, a tradition among shinobi and shinobi families; others to pass down their trade secrets and legacy to their children from a young age; and some fulfilling long-held desires to acquire high-quality weapons previously out of reach. The scent of metal in the air, surprisingly pleasant as one progresses in their career, is complemented by the coldness of the night. Blacksmiths bear the heat of reforged steel, while customers observe the craftsmanship employed to create the best weapons available. It was not unusual for chatter to fill the air while weapons were being crafted, as if it was the true currency exchanged, rather than mere cash. Upon entering the compound, he swiftly employed the Body Flicker technique to reach his apartment. To an untrained eye, it seemed like a peculiar cold breeze was flowing through the compound in a manner they hadn''t seen before, intriguing young onlookers who marveled at the mysterious breeze. But for seasoned shinobi who fought at Kirigakure front during the war, they immediately recognized Masato, who had mastered the Body Flicker technique to the point where he could use it freely to travel without restriction He had made a name for himself in Kirigakure with one of these techniques. Lost in thought, Masato avoided engaging in casual conversations, choosing instead to avoid encounters along the way. Skillfully avoiding to rustled the leaves, he made to his apartment. Upon entering his room, he swiftly locked the door and lay flat on his bed, having solitude he needs to process his thoughts. He replayed the day''s events in his mind, reflecting undisturbed on the challenges he had encountered. He was ambushed by 50 Jonin while training in the Forest of Death. Barely staying alive, he managed to outwit them and ultimately prevailed, thanks to the unfair advantage bestowed upon him by fate. While he found it exhilarating in the heat of the moment, he did recognize the implications of the attack. He observed the increasing hostility of Konoha''s upper echelon towards him and the Uchiha clan as a whole. They had reached a point where they were willing to assassinate him despite his status as a war hero in Konoha. ''If only the one-eyed elder had accompanied them, I could have ended this matter,'' he lamented, foreseeing how the situation would continue to unfold as long as he remained alive, drawing from his memories of the ''future''. Assassinating him now was out of the question, as Masato was unaware of the location of the Root hideout. Additionally, due to the curse seal implanted in Root members, he failed to gain any information about them. Moreover, after today''s loss, Danzo would be even more cautious, as he knew any attempts would be discovered. He needed to find another way to deal with Danzo and the Konoha upper echelon. The isolation of his clan from Konoha was still present, though not as prevalent as he had seen in the ''future''. Soon his mind diverts towards the system he receives right after escaping from the edge of death, which peculiarly responds if used by his right Mangekyo Sharigan. Regarding his left Mangekyo Sharingan, it granted him the ability to use any jutsu, Kekkei Genkai, and summon weapons from shops that he purchases. Despite sacrificing the abilities of his eyes, it fortunately provided stability, preventing pain or loss of eyesight. Additionally, he was still able to summon Susanoo, which is considered the strongest power an Uchiha can possess. So the tradeoff was generous, considering the potential of Susanoo and the enhanced capabilities he would gain from the shop. However, upon analyzing it after his first purchase and during the meal, he discovered aspects that made it valuable, yet mentally taxing. A notable aspect was his newfound ability to bestow jutsu, Kekkei Genkai, or weapons upon others, albeit at 30% weaker potency. He was initially excited, as he considered the overall advantage it provided, especially since it was 25-40% cheaper when bestowed upon others. Firstly, bestowing Kekkei Genkai, commonly the elemental ones, automatically grants the recipient an affinity for two elements. This enhances their versatility in different scenarios and allows them to become proficient in two elements more quickly compared to shinobi who typically have an affinity for only one. Secondly, Kekkei Genkai-based jutsu are usually 10-30% stronger than regular elemental jutsu of similar rank, based on his impression. Additionally, they are harder to counter or neutralize due to their unfamiliar properties. Thirdly, the power of Kekkei Genkai can be magnified in groups. Collaboration jutsu using the same release has a much more devastating effect compared to using regular elemental jutsu. For example, a group of 20-17 Uchiha Genin can take down 1 Uchiha Jonin using collaboration jutsu, even at the lowest rank, rather than the usual requirement of 25 Uchiha Genin to defeat 1 Uchiha Jonin. As for weapons and jutsu, he could bestow them upon anyone with each purchase he made. For civilian shinobi who lack support from a clan, this system would allow them to close the gap between themselves and clan shinobi, as civilian Jonin are rare despite comprising the majority of shinobi force. They lack both a diverse jutsu arsenal and quality weapons which hold them back from reaching their potential. Moreover, with access to strong weapons such as Kiba or A-rank jutsu, a Jonin''s combat prowess could be comparable to that of an Elite Jonin with sufficient practice. Points needed to buy them is based on potenial of the purchase item and quality(rank) of it. There are no conditions to give them; furthermore, the system proved generous. Each purchase made to bestow upon others decreased the points he needed for his own purchases until the cycle reset upon his own acquisition. Therefore, while empowering others, he would eventually be able to acquire stronger weapons/jutsu or more suitable Kekkei Genkai for himself as well. However, the primary challenge with the system lies in the method of earning points. This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. Rather than completing missions, engaging in combat, etc., which he was adept at, the system awards points based on the strong bonds the Uchiha clan forms with other clans. The stronger the bond with another clan, the more points he receives until it reaches a personal level. At this level, the chance of betrayal is zero, and the chance of assistance is maximum, with bonus points awarded when reaching this state. The points he receives vary depending on the clan''s strength and influence. However, the bond must be developed without coercion, so Masato cannot rely solely on his infamous reputation in this case. Although the second method of earning points involves wiping out clans, something he is more comfortable with, he only receives 25% of the total potential points for doing so. This obviously incentivizes him to focus on forming bonds instead, as the loss of points from wiping out clans is too significant. However, he knew it would be challenging, as cooperating with other clans had been a struggle for him in the past. The Uchiha clan was known for being the least social among all clans, even in comparison to the Hyuga clan. They historically had either bad or neutral relationships with most clans, and with the ever-increasing scrutiny from the Konoha upper echelon, it made forming bonds even more difficult. Therefore, his only viable option at the moment was to address it slowly and gradually, despite it not being his usual approach. ''By the way, I should visit her while I pick up my junior.'' With that in mind, he swiftly left his apartment, the soft echo of his footsteps resonating in the quiet of the night as he made his way towards his destination, the moon casting a gentle glow upon the streets, he vowed to preserve. ----------------------------------------------------------- If you enjoyed the chapter, feel free to comment. What do they want? Konoha, The Uchiha Compound (Morning) --------------------------------------------------------- As the morning sun illuminated the land, the residents of the compound commenced their activities on the second day following the war. Unlike the war times, they proceeded to their workplaces after enjoying an uninterrupted meal. While the scars of war never faded from their minds, and the losses remained irrecoverable, they still yearned for a brighter tomorrow. They sought stability in the present and future, and prayed for the return of the peace once established by the First Hokage. And for that, they must move forward, for them and for their descendants. Although the day appeared peaceful in the aftermath of the war on the surface, there was an underlying sense of tension deep beneath the iceberg. The Konoha Military Police Force(KMPF), consisting of Uchiha clan members, were ordered to gather at the office of the Chief of Police(COP), located at the headquarter of KMPF. Gathered in his office, newer members from the patrol division looked at their COP nervously, wondering what had happened, while senior members patiently waited, accustomed to meetings unlike their younger counterparts. ''Why is it taking them so long?" Uchiha Fugaku, the COP, pondered with a frown as he sat at his table, doing some paperwork. The previous night, an impromptu meeting took place at the Hokage residence, with attendance restricted to the clan heads. They were informed about a group of attackers allegedly from Kirigakure. Reports indicated that Anbu and Root members, gathered in the Forest of Death for training, were brutally attacked by an unknown group of assailants. Many were found impaled with ice, suggesting possible involvement from Kirigakure who is known to have a clan, having the bloodline to create ice. Though the exact number of casualties wasn''t disclosed, Fugaku could discern the extent of the losses from the expressions of the village elders. They were furious, displaying more emotion than they had shown toward the deceased, especially Danzo, who didn''t even bother to talk and appeared demented in his chair¡ªan honestly pleasant occurrence to witness during the meeting. Due to the potential danger posed by the group of attackers, his force was tasked with remaining vigilant, capturing the group, and even eliminating them if necessary¡ªa prospect that personally pleased Fugaku, given that they hardly acknowledged the presence, let alone the deeds, of their force. However, he received unexpected additional orders and awaited his arrival to carry out the task. "What''s all the fuss about?" Masato yawned comically as he was unexpectedly pulled out of bed by others in the police force. Leaving his flak jacket and white sleeve behind at home, he wore only a black shirt with the Uchiha clan symbol on the back. Although he bore the police force emblem on his white sleeve, Masato rarely attended duty after being deployed to war alongside selected Uchiha clan members in Kirigakure shortly after joining the police force. So technically, it was his first official day of work as a police officer. However, he couldn''t jokingly refer to himself as a K¨hai anymore. His promotion to Senior Police Officer after the war eliminated the fun of calling the younger officers his colleagues and witnessing their reactions "Just read the report," Fugaku said with a blank face, handing him the details on a paper, showing no interest in entertaining his tomfoolery. After taking the paper, he coughed a lot, attempting to suppress his laughter. This prompted newer members to increase their distance from him, which drew ire from senior members. Stolen content alert: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences. "So what is our order?" Uchiha Yashiro asked seriously who read the report after snatching it from him. While the magnitude was indeed serious, he found no reason to call all of them to his office. If patrolling was their only task, there would have been no need for him to gather them in his office. A simple command sent through his messenger would have sufficed. Yashiro understood there was something more to this matter, as he was ordered alongside Uchiha Inabi, Uchiha Shisui and Uchiha Tekka to drag Masato from his apartment to this office despite lack of need for it. If he wished to let Masato handle the matter, given his infamous battle prowess, he would have simply sent the message rather than bringing him to the office. While they waited patiently, Fugaku handed a document to Masato. Initially looking with his droopy eyes, he widened a bit after further reading. "How serious is the matter that you appointed me as the Police Captain of the Patrol division?" However, as he spoke, seemingly confused, the room fell silent, with everyone looking at their chief for an answer. "Due to your experience leading squads during the war, I''m entrusting you with overseeing the patrol division and volunteers. Each squad will receive orders to increase village patrols, accompanied by members of the Aburame, Hyuga, and Inuzuka clans who have volunteered to assist, provided the group remains uncaptured." It took a while for his words to sink in, leaving them bewildered. Fugaku couldn''t blame them. Since the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, entrusted the police force to the Uchiha, no one dared to question it. Neither they had shown intention to join it. It was just like Masato''s former grandfather suggested, this was just a method of ostracizing them from the village: having built the police station next to a prison, as well as distancing the Uchiha from taking part in the actual governing of Konoha. However, Fugaku, who belongs to and leads the neutral faction, can''t blame them, as his predecessor, Uchiha Madara, caused significant damage that warrants fear towards his clan. So as the meeting came to an end, he didn''t expect the Inuzuka Patriarch to interject, insisting on assisting the police force in capturing them. Before Fugaku or the Konoha Upper Echelon could recover from their surprise, the Hyuga and Aburame clans also insisted on participating, highlighting their reconnaissance abilities. Given their role as the backbone of the reconnaissance teams during wartime, their assistance would undoubtedly accelerate the process, but he still harbored some doubts. All night, he thought, ''What were they planning?'' unable to sleep peacefully. He would have immediately rejected any naive civilians or satellite clans of the Sarutobi clan, knowing they wished to surveil them. In this case however, it was different. They were prominent clans with a transactional relationship with the upper echelon of Konoha, each prioritizing their own clan interests. With added danger of an unknown group of assailants whose individual strength were theoretically Jonin and where one of them he predicted to be at least an Elite Jonin, he couldn''t bruise off their ''assistance'' and the current danger to the safety of villagers. Moreover, Danzo would have another reason to shamelessly criticize the Uchiha clan, as he always does. Even though the bodies of 50 clan members were missing, they didn''t even bat an eye. However, he can''t allow the ''volunteers'' to act without oversight. He needs someone to maintain order in case they initiate a disagreement with their force in public. This could provide the upper echelon of Konoha and the public with an excuse to criticize or limit their opportunities, which might be their objective. So he needed their clan''s elite to keep them in check and inform him about their undisclosed agenda "This is an order from our Third Hokage, so I don''t want to see any meaningless disagreement among our fellow villagers. Understand?" Fugaku said sternly, briefly mentioning the magnitude of the group before resuming to his seat. Before anyone could question him about involvement of volunteers, his glare silenced them, and they refrained from further inquiry. He had already communicated the rest of the details to Masato through the documents, so it was now Masato''s responsibility to delegate this task to qualified officers capable of investigating the matter. Informing everyone here would be detrimental. It would lead the ''volunteers'' to become more discreet in achieving their goals, making it harder for us to identify and stop them. Afterward, they were dismissed, with most wearing expressions of confusion and feeling awkward about accompanying their new patrolling companion for the day. Meanwhile, Masato contemplated which food shop to visit for breakfast, having been pulled from his sleep without a chance to eat. As they were leaving through the door, Fugaku quickly glanced at Shisui and gestured toward Masato. Shisui responded with an ''I understand'' nod. Satisfied with the response, he dismissed Shisui. ''As long as Masato behaves and doesn''t cause any drama, I am fine with it,'' he thought as he began doing his paperwork. Descending the stairs, Shisui cast a curious glance at their newly appointed Police Captain, who wore a smile as if something positive had happened. Lets try to work together Konoha, The Uchiha Compound, Uchiha Senbei ( Late Morning) --------------------------------------------------------- Near the border of the compound, sat a humble shop affiliated with the Uchiha clan, renowned for its Senbei. The closely guarded secret recipe of the Senbei had earned the shop its fame. Oddly, despite the shop being closed today, the aroma of mouthwatering Senbei still lingered in the air. At a table inside the shop, five individuals sat while a dog sat on the floor. The group included Uchiha Masato, Uchiha Shisui, Aburame Shibi, Hyuga Hizashi, and Inuzuka Tsume, accompanied by her loyal companion, Kuromaru. Invited by Masato, they were eating Senbei, though reluctantly out of courtesy as they already ate before coming here. ''When will he start the discussion...'' Hizashi bit into the Senbei with an elegant air of frustration, as if the Hyuga don''t act as a snob, then who will? On the opposite side of the table, Shibi observed Masato, renowned as the Uchiha''s Red Fang in Konoha and as The Malefactor of Kirigakure in Kirigakure, about whom he had heard numerous tales during his time at war. He was initially nicknamed the Uchiha''s White Fang after single-handedly eliminating the seven swordsmen of Kiri, the strongest organization of shinobi in Kirigakure, which played a role in the demise of Uzushiogakure. While no one witnessed the whole extent of the battle, they did so in the end- result, where he taunted nearby Kirigakure shinobi to pick up the fallen swordsmen''s weapons and face him in battle. However, as rumors surfaced of his abandonment and even the killing of assigned comrades to complete missions, his reputation shifted from ''White'' to ''Red'', symbolizing the blood of his stained allies on his ''Fang''. In Kirigakure, he earned that moniker after eliminating the newly sealed three-tails'' Jinchuriki and the 30 Hunter-nin who were guarding it, causing catastrophic damage to Kirigakure''s forces and ultimately leading them to become the third village to raise the white flag. He and his clan are now so reviled in Kirigakure and the Land of Water that they make even the infamous Kaguya clan seem saintly by comparison. Even if his death toll was significantly less compared to Minato Namikaze, the Yellow Flash, the damage he did was equivalent to or even surpassed his. Seeing the infamous Uchiha ''madman'' casually eating breakfast and playfully bickering with the Inuzuka Patriarch''s daughter, he couldn''t help but feel confused "Umm captain, we should start the meeting." reminded nervously by Shisui, seeing as it was already 11 o''clock. "Ah yes, we should start," he said after wiping his lips with a handkerchief. Tsume sighed and decided to leave the matter for now, while Kuromaru rubbed against her thigh to calm her down. "Before we begin, let''s introduce ourselves," Masato said sternly, displaying a rare moment of professionalism. "Starting from me, I am Uchiha Masato, the Police Captain of Konoha Military Police Force(KMPF) Patrol division and temporary superior of the volunteers." "I am Uchiha Shisui, the Police Lieutenant of Konoha Military Police Force(KMPF) Patrol division, tasked with assisting the Police Captain and the leaders of the volunteers" Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions. After they finished introducing themselves, the others followed suit. "I am Inuzuka Tsume, the current heir and representative of the Inuzuka clan and current leader of the volunteers from our clan." "I am Hyuga Hizashi, the current head of the Hyuga Branch family and representative of the Hyuga clan and current leader of the volunteers from our clan." "I am Aburame Shibi, the current heir and representative of the Aburame clan and current leader of the volunteers from our clan." "Good, now let''s start the meeting." "First, give me the list of people who are going to volunteer." The representatives of the three clans nodded and pulled out the list, which included names, shinobi ranks/positions, and their positions within the clan. Just as missions and jutsu are divided into ranks, shinobi are also classified into ranks within their clans. Furthermore, the black market utilizes these rankings in their continuously updated Bingo Book. There were four ranks: S rank, A rank, B rank and C rank. Their counterparts, except for S rank which unofficially just associate with Kage or village leader, were Elite Jonin, Jonin and Tobeketsu Jonin respectively for simplification. it was based on their battle prowess, their importance in their respective land/shinobi village and their influence. While no established correlation existed between the former and the latter two, in general, greater battle prowess would typically result in higher importance and influence within the clan and the village¡ªunless one is an heir, elder, or head of a clan. Hence he preferred it more than shinobi ranks, which was based on the Hokage and the council''s interest, not on merits which most expect. As he expected, half of the list consisted of Tobeketsu Jonin, with only a handful of Jonin and even fewer Elite Jonin. Though how much truth it had was not his matter of concern. After Shisui copies their list quickly by his Sharigan on the Clipboard, they move on to the next stage of the discussion. "Now let''s assign squad leadership duties to each region of Konoha." "Tsume would be responsible for squads in the southern region of Konoha." "Hyuga-san would be responsible for squads in the northern region of Konoha." "Aburame-san would be responsible for squads in the western region of Konoha." "Shisui-Kun would be responsible for squads in the eastern region of Konoha. Now does anyone have any issue with it?" Masato asked politely, to which the four shook their heads in response. Uchiha Fugaku carefully specified the location on the document for Masato to include, granting them temporary jurisdiction over areas near their clan and thereby avoiding any potential issues. After providing them with armbands indicating their jurisdictional responsibilities for their assigned regions, as instructed in the document, Masato assigned squads based on rank and clan to carry out the patrol duties. Due to privacy laws regarding the Byakugan, Hyuga clan were only allowed to use eyes outside of the village, so all Hyuga were assigned next to the entrance and exit of the village with the Border Patrol squads. KMPF, Aburame clan and Inuzuka clan, meanwhile, were assigned to the village patrol squads and border patrol squads. It was a well-devised plan that utilized the Hyuga clan''s exceptional vision to prevent the group of assailants from entering or ensnaring them within Konoha''s walls if they were present. Simultaneously, the Aburame and Inuzuka clans were tasked with locating the group, operating both within and outside Konoha''s borders. They utilized their unique insect and canine companions to relay intelligence about the village and its surroundings to the regional leader upon detecting any anomalies. If any threat was perceived, the leader would promptly inform the KMPF, which were tasked with safeguarding the volunteers and apprehending the intruders, whether they were found within Konoha or at its outskirts, especially if an assault on the volunteers was imminent. The plan satisfied the representatives of the three clans, ensuring their protection. However, the plan''s reliability was of little concern to Masato. They had yet to discover that he alone was the real culprit. He didn''t believe they would suspect him, an Uchiha skilled in Water release, let alone Ice release, of being responsible for the Root and the Anbu deaths. Thus, the patrol would simply distract the Konoha upper echelon, who wanted the supposed group to be eliminated, while allowing the other three clans to proceed with their agenda. So, despite any flaws in the plan, what mattered most was the willingness of the three clans to cooperate with the Uchiha, as it would allow Masato to gain more points. For now, he simply waits for the discussion to unfold. Meanwhile, he prepares to give a gift to someone he believes will appreciate it. ----------------------------------------------------------- If you enjoyed the chapter, feel free to comment. Do you expect a cheetah to climb a tree at their first try? As people walked through the streets ¡ª workers, shopkeepers, shinobi, and parents escorting their children to school or daycare ¡ª they noticed something unusual. In addition to the KMPF patrolling the streets with their strict and harsh approach towards offenders, members of the Inuzuka and Aburame clans were also observed accompanying them. It wasn''t an isolated incident occurring at a specific place and time. No, this change was widespread throughout Konoha, with individuals noticing Hyuga clan members participating in border patrols as well. This was an unusual sight, as the Uchiha clan, along with the other three prominent clans, were not accustomed to interacting with members of other clans, where awkwardness between them was apparent. Unlike the Sarutobi clan and its satellite clans, which seemed to live in harmony and even practiced intermarriage as the norm, the Uchiha and the other prominent clans rarely interacted outside their own compounds, except during wartime. Out of curiosity, some approached members of the Inuzuka, Aburame, and Hyuga clans who were engaged in conversation, inquiring about their role as ''volunteers'' assisting the KMPF. As for why, no one knows, considering those loose mouths became shut after receiving glares from their clan members and KMPF. Veteran shinobi, familiar with the reconnaissance capabilities of the three clans, always gave them an edge over other villages during wartime. While they provided comfort during times of war, the current situation seemed reversed. There appeared to be no need for such extensive surveillance during peacetime unless there was a potential threat to their homeland, prompting the village to remain vigilant against potential enemy attacks. While attacks from foreign adversaries had never reached their homeland, the possibility of an attack could not be ruled out. Even during the era when the God of Shinobi, their First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, was alive, conflicts persisted in Konoha, with numerous assassination attempts taking place. Some even harbored the delusion of attempting to assassinate him, believing he was weakened after battling the former scourge of the world, Madara Uchiha. While people suppressed their panic, trusting in the coordination of the four prominent clans and their Hokage to prevent any potential conflict, one person sat smiling in the corner, engrossed in reading one of the Sannin''s famous works. Who would have imagined that the supposed threat was simply fabricated by that crazed man? Konoha (East region) --------------------------------------------------------- After giving commands to his subordinate, Shisui rested at the cat store funded by Masato, feeling drained as he sank into a comfy chair. It was a nice haven that his superior created for himself and shared with Shisui, believing that he might need it to recover his mental fortitude. With the scent of catnip and fish lingering in the air, cats roam around the store, enticing customers to pet them or even consider purchasing them, all under the meticulous training of the store''s owner. Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere. "Meow?" "Hiss!" Feeling the weight of his new role and the scrutiny from those around him, even a simple order was enough to exhaust him. "Mewl." Starting as an academy student, who was compelled to ''study'' there for six years at his Patriarch''s insistence, he swiftly transitioned to becoming the youngest police officer post-graduation amidst a ''manpower shortage''. Now, he serves as a Police Lieutenant of the Patrol Division, leading both clan members and volunteers with concealed motives He was not used to this huge change in his standing, especially considering he was only eleven years old and rarely ventured outside without supervision from Lady Mikoto or her little brother. "Meow!" To him, it felt as if he were asking a cheetah to climb a tree. It was possible and manageable, but it doesn''t mean you push it to that role without prior training, as they were not natural climbers "Purrrrr." He initially deemed the responsibility placed upon him as unreasonable. Yet, upon reflection, he came to understand it as comparatively less burdensome than the actions of their esteemed Hokage, who had sent Academy students to the battlefield. Their chances of survival were disregarded by those who are known to be devoid of empathy, such as Orochimaru, Masato, and others Moreover, it''s not as if he was doing it alone; having his superior there indeed gave him some courage, knowing that as long as Masato was present, no one would argue with Shisui. "Oy, are you alright?" Looking up, he noticed his white-haired senior, who wore a slightly gloomy expression, standing in front of him. Giving an awkward and confused smile, he replied politely, "I''m okay, Kakashi-senpai. I''m just not used to this role." While he didn''t interact much with him, he heard tales about Kakashi, being the youngest to garner fame during the war and having their prized Kekkei Genkai as a gift by his older clan member at his last breath. "Mew. Mew." Hatake Kakashi simply nodded with a sigh, understanding the difficulties of leading people for the first time, and looked at his superior who was reading an Icha Icha novel in the corner of the cat shop, giving a ''I am chilling'' expression when their eyes met. So, how''s your day going?" Shisui asked casually, feeling awkward in this situation as he petted the white cat that had come close to him. "Purr." "You''re still too weak to protect those who matter to you, Kakashi." "Therefore, as long as you''re alive, gather the strength to wash away those sins." "I''m fine, I just wanted to see you guys one last time before heading to Mount My¨boku for training." he sighed, remembering one of his lines that reminded his current lack of strength. "I see," he nodded, contemplating asking his superior to send him there as well once things settled. "Mew." After a quick chat with Masato and narrowly escaping the clutches of the felines in the shop, Kakashi quickly departed, giving a wave to Shisui as he left him alone once more to ponder life. It took a while for him to be refreshed by the purrs and affection of the kittens, allowing him to rise from his chair to observe outside, seeing what they were doing. "Purr." ''It seems fine,'' he thought, seeing no disturbance, until he realized an awkward situation between them. Fugaku''s warning and earlier glare appeared to have had a highly effective impact, as they exhibited excessive caution in their interactions with the volunteers, resulting in a notable decrease in their typical level of verbal communication Or they were too afraid of failing their duty, knowing Masato was present. "Nyan~" Despite assigning leadership roles to others, he sent shadow clones to the other three regions to ensure everything was under control. Otherwise, there would be no point in him being the Police Captain of the Patrol division. Shisui wasn''t sure if it was a combination of both factors, but as long as they avoided conflict with the volunteers, he would be satisfied. However, this was just one of the many challenges confronting their clan. "mrrrrrr." After the war ended, tension persisted within the clan due to the sudden appearance of a group of assailants. He knows the clan''s reputation was on the line, were any mishap by those group would cause Uchi- "Stop monologuing yourself protagonist-kun and get back to work." Masato said nonchanlty while turning the page and massaging the black cat under his left arm. Shisui soon left the store with an embarrassed expression, not in the mood to talk back. Shadowed Vigilance: A Night in Konoha As night fell, the leaders of the volunteers returned to their respective clans and entrusting their nighttime responsibilities to other trusted members appointed by their clan leaders, as previously agreed upon with Fugaku. The volunteers are then replaced by their clan members who have rested during the day and are ready to fulfill their night duties. It was one of the conditions set by Fugaku to ensure a constant number of patrollers during the night when the village was most vulnerable. During the First Great Shinobi War, the Uchiha clan suffered significant losses due to their vulnerability at night. They lacked a night shift, which prevented them from identifying the culprit when they were vulnerable. As a result, a rule was implemented requiring half of the patrol squad to work during the day and the other half at night, ensuring stable manpower to protect Konoha. They rigorously train the night shift patrol squad to adjust their sleeping cycle, knowing, adjusting one''s biological clock is challenging and can have negative effects if not managed and trained properly, such as stunted growth. However, not all volunteers could cope with the change, and some of them ended up falling asleep on the street. Despite their annoyance, KMPF members had to constantly wake them up and tolerate their behavior. Bearing sole responsibility for any failures during a potential attack was a heavy burden. However, they could only sigh, recalling the words and warnings of their patriarch and captain. *** Konoha, Uchiha compound, KMPF HQ (Evening) --------------------------------------------------------- As the sun sank below the horizon, signaling the end of Shisui''s work shift, he returned to the KMPF HQ to submit his report. It was an uneventful day, except for the awkwardness among clan members and the arrival of the volunteers; everything else remained unchanged. He found no need to report, aside from a few panicked citizens reacting to baseless rumors about the addition of volunteers. Nevertheless, Fugaku carefully reviewed his report and posed additional questions, seeking clarification on the report and any rumors he may have heard. Despite the village rarely viewing them positively, he still felt a responsibility to protect it, holding onto the belief that the Uchiha would eventually integrate with the village. However, he was far from naive; he knew that the current Hokage and elders wouldn''t allow it to happen as long as their prejudice persisted. Furthermore, he had to consider the internal dynamics of his clan, where elders from different factions harbored strained relationships. Moreover, the number of radicals within their clan had increased by one-third after the war and were currently being ''suppressed'' by their ''messiah.'' However, the duration of this ''suppression'' remained uncertain. Shisui gently called out to Fugaku-sama, who had been waiting for a while. This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report. After a moment of contemplation, Fugaku coughed and replied, "It''s nothing, just thinking about other matters.¡± "Anyway, where is he?" he asked, unable to find Masato in the street despite multiple of his cat''s summons roaming in the street. Cats were renowned for their excellence in reconnaissance, with only a select few within the clan possessing the ability to summon them. However, if another individual also possessed the summoning contract, they could interfere with its use. Shisui tried to recall where he went and remembered seeing him head to the Konoha hospital. "I saw him go to the Konoha hospital, though he didn''t say why." As he reported, Shisui wondered why he went there. Unless he was sick or inflicted with some injuries, Shisui saw no need to go there, unless he was training himself to be a medical-nin. "I see," Fugaku replied, already guessing his intention. ''How long are you going to pursue a married woman?'' With his expression darkened, contemplated this matter briefly. Initially, he didn''t mind, considering Masato was still young and unable to get over it during the war. However, he found his fruitless pursuit of her after the war uncomfortable, especially considering she already had a child the same age as his own. ¡®Should I inform Mikoto about it or not?¡¯ He speculated until he began focusing on the matter at hand. "Keep doing your duty, Shisui. Until then, you are dismissed," Fugaku quickly replied, doubting Masato would cross the line without noticing Shisui''s curious gaze "Don''t worry, he has his way of monitoring the village, so there''s no need to worry about him slacking off," Fugaku reassured, relieving Shisui. As Shisui bid farewell to the patriarch and turned to leave, he inadvertently bumped into Inabi at the door. "No need, just go." Inabi said sternly, allowing Shisui to go. After ensuring Shisui was away from HQ, Inabi closed the door. Fugaku asked, curious about his report and indifferent to his earlier behavior, ¡°So, what did you find out?¡± "I don''t have an idea, but I found this place very fishy," he said, and handed over the report detailing his findings. At first glance, Fugaku didn''t pay much attention. The report describes a location 13 meters southwest of Konoha, where some parts of the forest were destroyed by unknown means. Considering civilian shinobi, Anbu and Root train in the forest, he didn''t find it so surprising, but there was one peculiar detail. In the forest, a trail of grass with a different shade of green was observed, which was extremely unusual. Unless a madman deliberately planted a different types of grass in a trail, this occurrence should not have happened He ordered, curious about this development, ¡°Notify me if you see it again, but don''t risk your life.¡± While it was just a hunch, he felt it might be something related to the Konoha Upper Echelon if he let his imagination run wild. However, he preferred not to risk Inari''s life by investigating further. Inabi nodded and swiftly departed, leaving Fugaku to sigh in frustration at his lack of decorum. Had Inabi not been a staunch supporter, given his considerable talent but lacking social acumen, he might have faced immediate reprimand or misunderstanding. ''If only my support within my own faction were stronger,'' he sighed with a hint of regret before returning to his paperwork. *** As Shisui strolled down the street, his eyes scanned the buildings, searching for the new residence assigned to him. Although his time staying with the patriarch''s family from all these years was pleasant, and he had become friends with their child, who was born four years ago, he always felt awkward there. Even though they treated him well, he still felt like a stranger who was being pitied. Moreover, dealing with his brother-in-law''s occasional visits and his insistence on dragging him along for random B-rank missions was a hassle. Although he hated to admit it, Masato''s occasional visits from the war had significantly helped him improve, compensating for his unnecessary stay in the Academy and lack of participation in the war, which would otherwise have given him valuable combat experience. Teaching him a stronger variant of their clan''s signature Ninjutsu, instructing him in basic Fuinjutsu, Genjutsu, and Kenjutsu, showing ways to make medicine for common ailments and illnesses and, of course, teaching him the Body Flicker technique. Though some of his terminology was confusing, such as how he coined words on the spot like ''crash course'' or ''scales'', his explanations were concise and included various examples of using the same jutsu to help understand. If only their viewpoints aligned, he wouldn''t mind supporting Masato''s cause, especially considering his reputation for treating his subordinates well within the Uchiha clan. Alas, it was fate; they were bound to have differences in their ideals. Your sentence looks well-constructed and clear. However, here''s a slight adjustment for clarity and flow: Anyway, he needed to find his house quickly because, with the new responsibility, he lacked ample time for training. Despite the apparent exhaustion displayed on his face, he still eagerly anticipated his training sessions. ''Only the strong can influence others,'' he muttered to himself before continuing on his way, recalling his speech. The calm before the storm Konoha, Uchiha compound, (Evening) --------------------------------------------------------- The once-vibrant compound now appeared dim, as if draped in a cloak of shadows, the moon struggling to pierce through the thick veil of clouds, its feeble light barely illuminating the desolate landscape, leaving a haunting silence hanging heavy in the air. The gentle pitter-patter of raindrops echoed through the streets, each droplet adding to the melancholy atmosphere that enveloped the area. Parents hurried into nearby shops with their children, seeking refuge from the biting cold brought on by the rain. Despite the dreary weather, the compound was still bustling with activity. The sound of laughter and lively chatter reverberated through the bustling shops, intertwining with the gentle pitter-patter of rain against the rain-streaked windows. Inside, the warm glow of lights cast a cozy ambiance, contrasting vividly with the gray, overcast skies looming outside, creating a vivid tableau of bustling activity against the backdrop of dreary weather. With the rain continuing to fall, the aroma of freshly cooked food wafted through the air. Its irresistible allure drew in those seeking shelter. Food shopkeepers, who seized the opportunity, rejoiced as people sought shelter in their establishments. Their enticing displays of fresh produce and sizzling dishes attracted them, turning them into customers. Despite not being as renowned as Akimichi restaurants, they were not inferior, especially with support from the leader of the radicals providing quality ingredients, allowing them to outcompete civilian restaurants offering comparable prices. In one corner of the street, a small group of children huddled together under an awning. Their faces lit up with excitement as they shared stories in civilian school or academy. Laughter spread among them, oblivious to the world outside their little bubble of joy. Meanwhile, the relentless rhythm of metal striking metal reverberated through the narrow avenue, the sound amplified by the pitter-patter of raindrops. Weapon shopkeepers and blacksmiths alike persevered in their craft, their silhouettes illuminated by the flickering glow of their forges, undeterred by the downpour. Shinobi, undeterred by the weather, made their way to these shops, eager to purchase and collect weapons regardless of any reason, a constant reminder of the village''s militaristic nature. Amidst the bustling indoor activities, the members of the KMPF faced a significant challenge as they became increasingly aware of the disadvantage posed by their adversaries. Recalling their times on the Kirigakure war front, they urged the Aburame members to relay messages for backup in case of an attack. They remained vigilant, fully aware of the consequences should the assailants strike at that moment. The tension in the moist air was palpable as they prepared for any potential threat. *** Shisui finally arrived at his residence after walking in the rain for an hour, his clothes thoroughly soaked from the downpour. His home, located southwest of the KMPF HQ and east-south to the Naka Shrine, offered him sanctuary from the dreary weather outside. His residence, equipped with common appliances like a fridge and rice cooker, was fairly large compared to most, with two floors to accommodate him. Pulling keys from his pocket, he unlocked the door. Despite the chill in the air, a sense of warmth enveloped him as he stepped inside his home. The familiar scent of incense greeted him, along with the comforting warmth of the hearth. After removing his soaking wet clothes, he hung them on the clothesline rope on the veranda before heading to the bathtub with a packet of unique medicinal herb mixture. This blend was specifically formulated for a rejuvenating bath, ideal for relieving stress and revitalizing the body. As he turned on the knob to fill the tub with warm water, he tore open the packet and poured its contents into the tub. After mixing it with his hands, he finally stepped into the bathtub. As he let his body soak in the medicinal water, he could feel accumulated stress washing away. He felt a simple euphoria, which allowed him to relax, while he made efforts to stay awake, avoiding the risk of catching a cold the next day. After wiping his toned and thinly muscular body, which was impressive considering his age of eleven, he donned the standard attire of the Uchiha clan, consisting of a high-collared, black-colored outfit. As he looked around his room to ensure everything was in place, he pulled out a small cylinder container containing pills. These pills aided in the recovery of stamina, growth, and chakra. He ingested them before returning to the living room. Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. Feeling famished after a long day, he eagerly opened the fridge to see what was available for dinner. Before he could start cutting the ingredients he found, he noticed a couple of boxes on the table. One had rice, pickled vegetables, and miso soup. The second one had ice cream and karaage. The third one had a couple of Dango. He read each note attached to them. "Don''t forget to put water in the rice cooker when cooking rice :)" from Mikoto. "I specially buy ice from the land of ice merchants to make ice cream, and oh, here is some Karaage! " from Masato. "Don''t forget to train me, Brother Shisui (^ ^)" from Itachi. "I don''t think I''ll have to cook for a while," he thought with a smile, estimating that they would last a week. After returning the ingredients to the fridge, he brought plates and bowls to serve the food. As he sat down to enjoy his meal, the aroma of freshly cooked rice and miso soup filled the air, bringing him a sense of comfort and contentment while the fried karaage tantalized his taste buds, sizzling in his mouth almost to the point of scalding, the coldness and sweetness of the ice cream and dango neutralized the heat. With each dish, he felt a deep sense of gratitude. The sumptuous feast invigorated him, infusing his being with a surge of vitality and imbuing him with a delightful sense of contentment. He was ready for the training session later tonight. After finishing the ice cream and dango, he stored the remaining food in the fridge before starting his training. The atmosphere in Shisui''s home was serene as he settled in after a long day. The soft glow of the lamp illuminated the room, casting a warm, inviting light over the traditional Uchiha decor. Outside, the rain continued to fall, its gentle patter providing a soothing backdrop to Shisui''s evening routine. Due to the rain outside, he opted to forgo training in the Body Flicker technique and Taijutsu outdoors, instead choosing to train in his bedroom, which contained all the necessary materials for other studies. Each soft sound of his footsteps echoed through the quiet house as he walked towards his destination. As he reached his bedroom, he began his training session. Weaving signs and accumulating fire chakra in his mouth, he dispel it quickly as he can before repeating the cycle. This method of practice was typical for ninjutsu, like the Fire Release: Great Fireball jutsu. It helped decrease the time needed to weave hand signs, accumulate fire chakra, and become familiar with the ninjutsu. Through this, he was able to decrease the number of hand signs needed to execute the jutsu, although it took far more time compared to the former method. If it didn''t drain stamina as well when performing it, he could maintain it indefinitely while also keeping his chakra levels constant. This practice was crucial, especially in battles where average shinobi could be gravely injured by remaining unprotected from C-rank jutsu and killed by B-rank jutsu. Speed plays a significant role in combat where even a single kunai can be fatal if you are too slow to dodge. Moreover, due to Masato''s training, Shisui''s battle style revolved around speed, with his defense and offense supplemented by his agility, strengthening his reliance on speed. After two hours of practice, he retrieved sheets of paper, a brush, and an ink pot, and started practicing calligraphy. With each stroke of the brush, he meticulously drew a sealing formula on a piece of paper, repeating the process on multiple sheets. This was one of the methods he was taught to learn fuinjutsu. It required him to ensure that each letter in the formula was correct, placed centrally, and written uniformly. If even one letter was miswritten, the entire sealing scroll could burn, much like leaves when chakra isn''t infused correctly, or explode, depending on the formula. The same applied if the shape of the sealing wasn''t uniform or spherical, depending on the sealing formula. Moreover, if the sealing formula wasn''t positioned at the center of the scroll, its effectiveness would decrease, making it less potent. Additionally, applying an appropriate amount of chakra to different sealing formulas in order to activate the seal and maximize their effectiveness. Instructions to write them were deceptively easy, but writing the formula without making mistakes in writing, shape, placement, and chakra consistency was the hard part, which became more challenging in the heat of battle. Hence, one must be a master of calligraphy first in order to use fuinjutsu effectively, which is not an easy feat. Shisui received strict instruction from Masato and excelled in calligraphy to perform basic sealing and unsealing techniques. However, he found it challenging to master fuinjutsu beyond those jutsu, as the sealing formulas were far more complex, and the precise amount of chakra required was difficult for him to consistently achieve. Nevertheless, he continued to practice in hopes of mastering sealing jutsu for combat, where it could prove invaluable in the hands of a skilled fuinjutsu practitioner on the battlefield. Thus, he persisted in his practice until his wrist began to ache after two hours. before shifting his focus to revising necessary information. He revised various subjects, including chakra nature, the villages, Kekkei Genkai, clans, bounties listed in bingo books, and more. Although relatively easy because he was only revising, daily practice was crucial, as fatalities resulting from a lack of information were quite common. Armed with the knowledge that one of the assailants possessed Ice Release, he dedicated himself to studying the Yuhi clan, renowned for their mastery of Ice Release techniques. He doesn''t hope to defeat them, understanding the strength of a Kekkei Genkai user and lacking actual combat experience. However, this won''t be an excuse when he eventually confronts them face to face. He may even face death, just like his parents and uncle did during their respective missions, as this is the world where taking lives is often easier than saving them. The day may not be far off, so he must be prepared when it arrives; at least it would be less embarrassing than being helpless against their onslaught With his mind sharp and his body weary from a day of training and study, Shisui finally retired to bed, prepared to face the next day.
