《Ephemeral Harmony》 1. Chapter – First encounter A giant snail ten meters tall is slowly leaving the farm field and entering the vast forest. Its crystalline body bore intricate patterns reminiscent of various plants, and a few windows adorned its shell. Positioned on one side were doors, and atop the shell sat a platform with a large umbrella. Golden lamp-like eyes illuminated the path ahead as the snail made its way through the ancient, dark forest. Resting under the umbrella on the snail''s back was a slumbering deity, adorned in a white Daoist robe adorned with snake and spider motifs. Despite her appearance resembling that of a sixteen-year-old, an ancient aura emanated from her crystal hair and eyes, which contained roses within. ***** In a demon camp near the end of the forest in Han province group of demons raided a village and massacred nearly all villagers. Every demon has better capabilities than normal humans and is similar to the third level of Body tempting. A few days later as a consequence against demons a group of cultivators from Jade Green Sect started a full-scale attack on demons in this village. The leader of demons and the Jade Green Sect start fighting in the sky and using the most destructive spells. The rest of the cultivators start fighting against demons on the land or flaying at flying swords. Demons with wings rise to the sky and start the fighting. It was a complete massacre. After a long time. Different parts of the bodies of cultivators and demons were all over the village. Casualties of the Green sect were devastating but managed to kill and banish most of the demons. Demons who were severely wounded were left behind for certain deaths. Villagers in cells were left to death by cultivators. A normal human has no value to cultivators only beautiful women are commonly used as cultivators'' furnaces. Not a while later same giant snail arrived near the demon camp from the forest. The smell in the air is full of rotten bodies and black smoke from burning fairs. The landscape near a village is decimated from varieties of different spells of cultivators and demons. All houses are decimated to ruins. Big snails start wandering the camp. Enjoying the story? Show your support by reading it on the official site. Near the tallest building is near near-dead demoness with only the upper half of the body trying to save something under her torso. She is constantly being beaten by an elderly man with a piece of wood but it has nearly no effect. Unfortunately for the demoness, she can¡ät regenerate her body even with her powerful regenerative abilities. Her regenerative abilities are extraordinary but because of serious injury, lack of natural energy, and trying to protect something under her it''s a kind of hopeless situation. After wandering true village snail starts slowly approaching the insane old man. After horrible torture and insane scenes from the last few days, a madman is so immense in beating that he doesn¡¯t notice the big snail that is right behind him. In the last moment both the demoness and the human turn around and see the big mouth of a snail opening. At this moment insane man lost his will to beat the demon and froze like a statue. He starts shouting at big snails mouth but without response. In the instant snail bites the upper half of the man like eating grass. "At this moment, the entire village fell into dead silence." Blood starts pouring from the lower half of the old man like a fountain. The lower half of the madman stands there till nerves in his body shout down and falls to the ground. Demoness felt absolute fear of the snail. In this situation, there is only one way. The only way out is to get eaten like a madman. In a fraction of a second, she ripped of bloody piece from her chest and put it inside the basket which she tried to protect against the madman. She threw a basket as far as she could and at this moment she was eaten by the snail. With a powerful body and regenerative abilities, she wasn¡¯t instantly killed but it took a few seconds to kill her. After eating her, the snail happily starts moving forwards the basket and tries to explore what is inside and eat it. Snail is probably as smart as three years of a child, but his combat powers are extremely high. When the snail arrived near the basket, the basket was lifted by one meter tall crystal spider and carried on top of the snail. At this moment the snail started roaring at the spider because he stole his toy, the snail was a cold bloody murderer but against a fast and agile spider, the snail couldn''t stop him from snatching his price. After a while snake forgot about the basket and started moving out of the village. His next destination was very hard to know because he started chasing the moving sun in the sky. In the basket, a small child starts crying. It was a little demon. He has two small horns on the head and a few short blonde hair. Spider excitedly looks at the child but he never attacks. On top of the child is peace of bloody mass similar to a sphere. This bloody sphere. For the same mysterious reason, the spider didn¡¯t try to take a bloody sphere and went back to sleeping beauty. From afar he starts watching demon child. 2. Chapter – Mountain village Shortly after, the child began to cry from hunger, his instincts for consuming flesh and blood kicking in. Not long after, the child fell asleep again. This process repeated itself for a few months. If you observed closely, you could notice that the bloody core was slowly being absorbed until it became completely clear, resembling a vibrant ball. The core itself couldn''t be easily absorbed, only the blood from its surface. Over time, the child absorbed almost all nutrients from the core. The demon boy couldn''t speak initially, but he felt someone communicating with him from the core. In this half-year period, he gained the ability to speak and read. Eventually, after almost half a year, the young demon emerged from the basket, starting to explore the top of the snail. Unfortunately, the clever spider anticipated the child''s actions. Before the child could harm itself by falling from the snail, the spider quickly wove a web around the top of the snail, preventing any accidents. Not long after, the demon successfully explored the available parts of the snail and found a way inside its shell. Inside, there were different rooms, but unfortunately, only the first room was accessible to him. The room was filled with various books and other miscellaneous items. The first room after the entrance was a large living room with an elliptical shape. In the middle of the room was a big circle adorned with various symbols, resembling some kind of pattern. Inside the circle lay a crystal-made naked woman''s body with different runes and symbols all over it. The room also contained a big table with a few chairs, all covered in books and scrolls. The demon started looking around, but as a child, he couldn''t reach anything high, only things that were on the floor. Thanks to the core, he grasped the basics of language and some basics of written words in the books. The books were mostly about rituals, arrays, and experiments. He quickly lost interest and fell asleep again. Time flew by in the next half time demon started speaking to the spider and a big snail. Spider is smarter than snail so he plays with him but the spider can''t answer to the child so the child tries to speak to sleeping beauty but without response. After another half of the year, the snail found a mountain village. Villagers were dumbfounded when they saw a snail. They never saw cultivators and they feared the snail. This village was very poor and depended on the animal farms to survive. When they saw a small child on top of the snail they immediately rushed near the snail. They tried to save the child but the snail didn''t stop and they were helpless. The old village leader saw this and tried to stop the snail. When he was young he saw cultivators and he knew that they were helpless if the snail tried to kill them they would all certainly die. At this moment snail stopped and the spider web that protected the child disappeared. Demon child jumps down from the snail. In the instant beam of light shoots inside the old man''s head. The old man instantly fell to the ground. It took him a while to recover and he instantly understood that the beam of lite was not meant to harm but help him. What he didn''t know was that the beam helped him to break through 1 stage of Body Tempting cultivation. Against ordinary humans nothing drastic happens only their body is a little stronger and their health is better in the form of recovery. He took the child back to the village. Snail''s body enters inside the shell. In the village, the village chief adopted demon child questions. No one knew that the child was a demon thanks to some unknown spell that the deity cast on him before leaving the snail. His language was far better than ordinary children and thanks to it village chief discovered that the boy had no name so he named him Li Wei. Li Wei starts living with the chief and his family consists of a wife, one older son Han Sung, and an older daughter Han Ming. If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. ***** Half a year later a girl was born in the village. She was named Mei Lin. The girl has black hair and green eyes. Not long after the chief family went to visit the newborn girl. At this moment Li Wei felt something very strange from the girl. Though she couldn''t speak, only cry, he felt as if she was attempting to communicate something to him, akin to the core he possessed. Uncertain of what to do, he remained silent. Later that day, the girl fell ill. In the following year, the boy experienced rapid growth. By the age of three, he began assisting his family at home, having fully mastered speaking and reading. However, his adoptive younger siblings weren''t as quick, and their frustration towards him grew. During this year, Mei Lin, the newborn girl, spent much of her time unwell and began to visibly deteriorate. Despite their efforts, her parents couldn''t find a way to save her. In the same year, a cultivator from the Green Jade Sect visited the mountain village to identify potential cultivators to counter demon threats. This proved fortunate for the village, as they had a QI Condensation cultivator. Such cultivators could sense the cultivation potential in normal humans, and if someone displayed such potential, they could contribute to the village''s prosperity and generate income. After two days of examination, the cultivator identified an eleven-year-old child with cultivation potential and the ailing Mei Lin. Witnessing her plight, Mei Lin''s parents implored the cultivator to save their daughter, agreeing that she would join the Green Jade Sect. The cultivator pledged to aid her health, though he couldn''t cure her illness. Upon the cultivator''s departure, the village celebrated the prospect of a future cultivator and geared up for the autumn harvest. Each family prepared their crops and animals, ensuring the fields were ready for the next spring. This year''s harvest was bountiful, with a significant surplus of crops and animals. Soon after the harvest, a portion of the food would be sold to cultivation sects and other villages in exchange for various goods. ***** Time passed, and the next nine years flew by like water. The harvest season became particularly intriguing for Li Wei. He contributed significantly, showcasing his almost inhuman strength that rivaled that of a grown man. In contrast, his stepbrother was noticeably weaker. His stepbrother, Han Sung, attempted to frame Li Wei in various situations to humiliate him, especially in front of the other girls in the village. Unbeknownst to Li Wei, he was not happy about it and tried helplessly to counter it. Soon after, Han Sung killed a few animals and framed Li Wei. Han Sung, cunning in such matters due to his tendency to steal and frame others, succeeded. As a consequence, Li Wei was punished and forced to work tirelessly in the fields while other children played in the village. The village chief, aware that it wasn''t Li Wei''s fault but lacking evidence, didn''t attempt to defend him. The fortune Li Wei received from the mysterious deity was long forgotten, and the chief did not regard the child as his own. After a few days of hard work, Han Sung and other children visited Li Wei, subjecting him to verbal bullying. The only one who refrained from bullying was Mei Lin, the weakest of the children, responsible for washing clothes and preparing food. Soon after, another problem arose. With the harvest over, everyone began preparing supplies for winter. On a particular day, Li Wei and Mei Lin descended the mountain into the forests to find healing herbs for the village. Despite Li Wei''s physical weakness, he had an affinity for herbs and nature. Mei Lin excelled at finding various herbs, and Li Wei was sent with her for protection. This plan was carefully orchestrated by Han Sung and Han Ming. They were aware that, as summer ended, fierce wild animals migrated down the mountain to hibernate, providing an opportunity to harm Li Wei and Mei Lin. Li Wei''s physical prowess was extraordinary, but he couldn''t protect both of them. For the plan to succeed, they needed to steal herbs from the village storage, as herbs were typically collected in the summer or spring when dangerous animals were not around. Although no one suspected that the herbs were stolen, the village chief both of them to go even if this trip was very dangerous. 3. Chapter – Descent from the mountain Before their departure, Mei Lin''s family bid them farewell. Mei Lin''s mother provided them with some food for the journey, and they also took a tent and basic sleeping instruments. Each of them carried a basket with knives for collecting herbs. Mei Lin had a picture book with drawings of plants. As they ventured into the forest, they encountered Li Wei''s older siblings. The siblings began giving commands to Li Wei, instructing him on when to return and what he needed to find in the forests. However, it was a futile one-sided conversation as Li Wei seemed indifferent. The siblings grew even more frustrated, but they had no means to make his journey worse. No one considered the consequences if something were to happen to Mei Lin, the future disciple of the Green Jade Sect; everyone in the village would be punished. As they entered the forest, the siblings began plotting what they would do to Mei Lin and Li Wei. Typically, when someone went for medical herbs in the harsh seasons, they risked their lives. This information was well-known in the village. After the harvest season, a few villagers from different villages visited the mountain village for trade. The siblings were acquainted with some individuals from wanderer groups, and they planned to bribe a few of them to venture into the forest and eliminate both Li Wei and Mei Lin. The mountainous road ahead was nearly non-existent, urging them to forge their path through the wilderness. Mei Lin, in her element, began to share insights about various herbs and their unique properties. She delved into the intricacies of their uses and how different kinds could serve various purposes. For Li Wei, this conversation was exceptionally gratifying. As somewhat of an outcast in the village, being adopted and lacking a true familial connection, he found solace in the knowledge he had acquired about his lineage. He had come to learn that he was, in fact, a demon, a revelation that set him apart from the others. While the identity of the being within his core remained a mystery, deep in his soul, he felt an unwavering trust in this core, as if it held the key to his true self. Enthralled by Mei Lin''s melodious voice, Li Wei found himself slipping into a trance, a sensation entirely new to him. Cultivators would often liken this experience to enlightenment, a moment when clarity and understanding washed over one''s consciousness. As the shadows lengthened and the day waned, they stumbled upon a secluded spot, deciding to make it their haven for the night. With deft hands, they set about preparing a crackling fire, its warm glow warding off the encroaching darkness. They covered nearly ten kilometers on their journey. While Li Wei, accustomed to physical exertion, had no trouble covering such distances, he was able to run ten kilometers in an hour. Mei Lin''s delicate constitution struggled against the demands of the harsh journey. Recognizing her fatigue and the fact that night would fall soon, they decided to set up camp. If you come across this story on Amazon, it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. Constructing a tent and kindling a fire, they prepared for the night ahead. Before they could discuss the rotation for night guard shifts, weariness overcame Mei Lin, and she succumbed to sleep right there by the fire. Her weakened state prevented her from making it to the tent. Li Wei, attuned to the demands of their journey and understanding Mei Lin''s need for rest, tenderly lifted her in his arms and carried her to the safety of the tent. Ensuring she was nestled comfortably, he took a moment to watch over her peaceful slumber before stepping back into the open night. As a demon, sleep held little meaning for him, and he willingly shouldered the responsibility of being the vigilant guardian. Settling beside the flickering flames, he stood sentinel over their makeshift camp, the dance of shadows and the gentle crackling of the fire accompanying him through the silent hours of the night. Without Li Wei realizing, they hadn''t encountered any wild animals on their journey. He tried to figure out the reason without success. Despite his keen senses and excellent night vision, there was no explanation. Little did he know, a crystal spider trailed closely behind, its presence hidden in the shadows. The spider, with its overpowering aura, acted as an unnoticed guardian, warding off other creatures and ensuring their journey through the wilderness remained undisturbed. The natural world, sensing the dominance of the crystal spider, hesitated to approach, leaving the duo to traverse the landscape in eerie tranquility. Li Wei spent the entire night attempting to sense nearby animals, yet the only presence he could discern was Mei Lin''s. Her aura emitted a distinct chaos, a feeling that resonated deep within his soul. Over the years, he had come to realize that the various emotions he could sense were all emanating from the souls of the villagers and animals surrounding him. Usually emotions like fear, anger, love, and more. On the other hand, Li Wei never sensed anything radiating from the large snail or the sleeping deity. From his mysterious core, he gained insights into the snail and the dormant deity. This lack of presence indicates, that they were more formidable cultivators than he was. Li Wei, being new to cultivation, understood that demons and other races couldn''t progress in cultivation without the proper techniques. In the realm of cultivation, when two cultivators met, they could sense each other''s cultivation level if they were in the same realm. If there was a difference in one realm, the lower-ranked cultivator could faintly perceive the cultivation level of the higher-ranked one. This phenomenon could extend even when there was a gap between two realms, although it was less likely. From this knowledge, he assumed that the sleeping deities and snails were very powerful. Throughout the night, Li Wei endeavored to better sense Mei Lin''s chaotic aura, but his attempts were not met with success. Conversely, he found himself more familiar with his aura. From the knowledge within his mysterious core, he discovered, that he probably has potential for soul techniques. However, without the assistance of a cultivation technique, he realized there was little he could accomplish. In the face of this disappointing revelation, a new horizon unfolded a chance for Li Wei to step into the realm of cultivation and unravel the mysteries shrouding his enigmatic core. 4. Chapter – First battle – 1/3 Early in the morning, before Mei Lin woke up, Li Wei began preparing breakfast. He cooked fried rice, not an exquisite dish, but Mei Lin was delighted and eagerly started eating. She anticipated a challenging day, and the warm meal provided much-needed nutrients. After a simple breakfast, they made some basic tea, packed their belongings, and started their march through the forest. The day unfolded, and with each step, they ventured deeper into the lush greenery, ready to face the trials that lay ahead. Mei Lin, just as the day before, bombarded Li Wei with questions. "What will you do when you grow up? Do you want to come with me to the Green Jade Sect?" Li Wei was taken aback by the unexpected question. His heart longed to stay with the snail and the deity, but their departure was uncertain, and he wasn''t sure if they would allow him to accompany them. On the other hand, joining Mei Lin could mean learning cultivation techniques and becoming a cultivator himself. Caught in the dilemma, he responded hesitantly, "I don''t know, I never thought about that." "Don''t be like that," Mei Lin urged. "When the cultivator arrives, I''ll ask him to take you with me. I don''t want to go there all alone." Mei suddenly blushed. Before long, Mei Lin''s curiosity led her to inquire about Li Wei''s life before he came to the village. Though his memories were hazy, Li Wei began sharing tales of his travels and the mysterious book nestled inside the snail''s shell. As he delved into the description of the peculiar contents within the shell, he started connecting some clues, gradually unraveling the meaning of the enigmatic books stored in the small room within the shell. In a sudden burst of realization, Li Wei exclaimed, "Maybe we can learn to be cultivators if we ask the sleeping deity." The prospect of gaining insights from the dormant deity sparked a newfound enthusiasm in both of them. The possibility of unraveling the mysteries of cultivation opened up before them, and the forest seemed to hum with the promise of discovery. Mei Lin stared at him incredulously. After a moment, she burst into laughter. "What are you talking about? I have never seen anyone on top of the snail''s shell. There is only an umbrella, and underneath it is a chair and a small table. No one is there," she explained with a bemused smile. "What!? How is this possible?" Li Wei exclaimed. With a continued smile, Mei Lin reassured him saying, "Lu Wei, if I become chosen to be a cultivator, I''ll take you with me." At noon, they arrived at a small mountain stream and sat by the shore, unpacking their food. This place was already frequented by villagers during their trips to the forest for gathering or hanging provisions. They had prepared rice balls for lunch and as they began eating, they ignited a fire and chopped off branches from a nearby tree for fuel. They placed a wok over the fire and started boiling water for tea. Finally, they went to the stream to freshen up. Mei Lin immediately took off her shoes and immersed her legs in the water. At the perfect moment, a group of wolves suddenly appeared on the opposite bank of the stream. A hushed silence fell over the scene. Li Wei and Mei Lin stared at the wolves, frozen in place. If you come across this story on Amazon, it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. Li Wei understood that they stood little chance against seven wolves. Escaping wasn''t an option. The wolves would easily catch up, especially considering Mei Lin''s limited mobility. The journey back to the village was more than thirty kilometers long in very hard terrain and Li Wei couldn''t outrun the wolves. He immediately realized that none of the wolves were animals with cultivation. Their only chance of survival was to stand their ground and fight. Mei Lin knew that she couldn''t run away. She knew that she would surely die. As they looked at each other, the wolves began to drink water. After they were full and prepared to leave, but at that moment a rice ball in Mei Lin''s hand fell to the ground. That alerted the youngest wolf. It slowly turned around and began staring at the rice ball. The other wolves also turned around and started barking at them. At that moment, Li Wei turned around, grabbed Mei Lin, and started running back to the camp. He picked up a bigger knife and tossed it to Mei Lin. She caught it and also grabbed the wok from the fire. The work had two bare handles. If you need to pick it up you need gloves or something, as it would burn your hands. Her left palm was instantly burned. Her leg was also burned by boiling water, but at that moment, she didn''t even feel it. Li Wei picked up a smaller knife and put it in his mouth. His right hand was equipped with a larger axe, and his left hand held a smaller axe. As they started running, he also picked up a smaller basket and put it on his back. The fight was about to begin. The youngest wolf was right behind them. With all his strength, Li Wei struck the wolf near its right eye with the larger axe''s dull side. The wolf immediately fell to the ground, rendered unconscious by the blow. Li Wei started running towards the nearest tree for better protection against the wolves, and Mei Lin instantly followed. They turned their backs against the tree so they wouldn''t need to cover their blind spots. Wolves were instantly near them. They immediately attacked. Two of them rushed toward Mei Lin. As they were less experienced, they started with easier prey. Fortunately, that was a mistake. Mei Lin''s defense is better than Li Wei''s, and she manages to deflect one of them with the wok. Unfortunately, the other one rushes forward and bites her other hand. Successfully her hand starts bleeding, and the fangs pierce through. However, a large knife does its job. His muzzle is cut in half, and one of his eyes is severed. Immediate pain starts spreading through the wolf''s body. He lets go and begins biting again. Li Wei begins swinging with his axes. All the wolves jump towards him simultaneously, which is his intention. He swings at two wolves in the middle, aiming to block the two on the outside from an immediate bite. However, things don''t go as planned. One wolf is hit by the big axe in the neck, instantly bleeding profusely. The other wolf, struck by the smaller axe, was undamaged and bit the handle of the axe. The wolf near him misses his bite and accidentally thrusts his front legs into the middle of Li Wei''s torso, starting to butcher him. The last wolf grabs Li Wei''s leg, causing terrible pain throughout his body. Without thinking, Li Wei''s big axe falls on the wolf''s head, resulting in instant death. However, the wolf doesn''t let go, and the big axe is lodged inside its skull, unable to be immediately removed. Blood was everywhere. 5. Chapter – First battle – 2/3 Probably ten meters above them, a crystal spider silently watching the exciting show. Li Wei pulled out a small knife and began to cut at the wolf, which was struggling with a small axe. Unintentionally, he severed tendons on one side of the wolf''s mouth, causing blood to pour from its mouth. The wounded wolf, having missed its initial attack, lunged again. This time, it didn''t miss and bit deep into Li Wei''s left arm. His arm instantly went numb, causing him to release the small axe. The wolf, with its injured mouth, dropped the axe and charged again. ***** As the wolf, previously parried by the wok, rushed forward once more, it became evident that this particular wolf was young and inexperienced, charging without a clear plan. It collided with the work, and once again, Wok blocked its advance. However, the force of the impact shattered all of Mei Lin''s fingers that held the shield. Mei Lin looked at her mangled hand, clutching the wok, her mind slipping away from the overwhelming pain. Her delicate body which never recovered from her illness, unaccustomed to such physical exertion, struggled to cope. Simultaneously, the young wolf, now without an eye, launched another attack. It bit fiercely at Mei Lin''s right hand, holding a knife, to the extent that it impaled itself through its mouth. In the final moments, the wolf failed even to bite her hand, instead, the knife entered its mouth and emerged at the back of its head, covered in brain mass and blood. Blood was sprayed everywhere. The horrific sight startled Mei Lin, causing her to step aside, losing her leverage against the tree only to be pushed down by the wolf that had broken her fingers. Seizing the opportunity, the wolf redirected its aggression towards her legs. Unable to defend herself effectively with the wok, Mei Lin was instantly bitten. She didn''t have shoes so the wolf attack was more devastating. The pain was so intense that she let out a piercing scream, startling the attacking wolf momentarily. ***** Li Wei found himself in an even worse situation, cursing incessantly as he tried desperately to shake off the dead wolf that clung to his leg. With no time to check on Mei Lin''s condition, he pressed on, fully aware that his adversaries were still a threat. Despite the intense pain from his wounds, he forced himself to focus. The battle had left him without any axes, leaving him with only a small knife as his weapon of choice. He knew he had no other option but to face the remaining challenges with determination and resilience only with a small knife for herbs. "FUCK!!" Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon. He rushed against the wolf with a broken jaw. Fortunately, the wolf that was stuck to his leg let go. He swung the knife, and his hit landed on top of the wolf''s muzzle. The wolf cried out and was sent sprawling to the ground. At that moment, the only healthy wolf began attacking from behind and tearing up the herb basket. Li Wei was knocked to the ground when he tried to pick up a small axe. The wolf with wounds on its neck rushed around them and began attacking Li Wei''s head. The wolf that had been sent to the ground slowly began to stand up, facing significant troubles, pain evident in its movements. Strangely, its eyes were now a deep shade of purple, as it pondered whether to continue the fight or make a hasty retreat. With no other option, Li Wei covered his head with his arms as the remaining wolf tore into them. Blood splattered everywhere, saturating the grass and creating a disgusting, slippery surface. Li Wei rolled over with the wolf on his back, successfully escaping the attack on his head. At that moment, his left hand unintentionally swept over the wolf''s fur on its neck when he rolled from him. The thick fur was suddenly torn open, and blood spurted out like a fountain. "HOW" Li Wei shouted, not dwelling on the gruesome sight. He quickly refocused, preparing himself for the next round of the fight. ***** In reality, what happened was that the camouflage spell that had concealed him throughout his life, ever since he entered the village, momentarily dispersed on his left hand. Sharp nails on his fingers cut into the wolf, revealing the magical camouflage that seemed to have been there all along. It materialized once more, shielding him from further harm. This was interfering with the deity. ***** Both wolves looked as if someone had experimented on them. Their eyes were a dark shade of purple, a telltale sign that demon blood had been introduced into their systems. The demonic blood was poisonous to those who ingested it. Anyone who drank demon blood would undergo mutations and eventually transform into mindless creatures, similar to demons themselves. This revelation was a positive sign for Li Wei. While he didn''t fully understand what had happened to the wolves, he knew that this situation could work to his advantage. Taking advantage of the mysterious demise of one wolf, Li Wei leaped over its lifeless form, preparing himself for whatever challenges lay ahead. As he rolled, his hands slipped, and he buried his head in the bloody ground. Li Wei quickly looked up, only to see a wolf with a wound on its neck leaping over him bouncing off a broken basket on his back. This wolf, having lost a significant amount of blood, was in a frenzied state. The slip proved to be a stroke of luck for Li Wei, potentially saving his life. Reacting swiftly, he turned around, kicked the frenzied wolf away, and rushed over the dead wolf to retrieve the small axe. Despite the extreme pain from his injuries a small blackouts, Li Wei jumped back to his feet and faced the lone wolf that seemed intent on escaping. When the wolf caught sight of Li Wei''s bloodied face and all his wounds, it promptly turned around and sprinted away, abandoning the confrontation. 6. Chapter – First battle – 3/3 Unfortunately for the wolf, its fate was sealed. A crystal spider, lurking high up in the tree, was ordered to eliminate anyone who survived the earlier encounter. The wolf sprinted probably two hundred meters, only to come face-to-face with the colossal spider. Confronted by the immense size of the spider. Eight ruby eyes were scanning the wolf. It instinctively understood that its demise was inevitable. Choosing to face its fate, the wolf halted its run and observed what would unfold. As it stopped, its head was swiftly severed by a pre-set strand of web, leaving the creature beheaded and at the mercy of the crystal spider. ***** Li Wei picked up the small axe with his right hand, readying himself to deal the final blow to his last opponent, who had absorbed his kick in the belly. The opponent''s neck continued to bleed, and its eyes grew even darker in their shade of purple. As Li Wei made his move, his mind suddenly went blank, and he collapsed to the ground. The wolf, sensing that Li Wei was incapacitated, let him be and swiftly rushed to aid the young wolf with Mei Lin, demonstrating a surprising shift in priorities. ***** Mei Lin fought on the ground, launching a barrage of dirt at the attacking wolf around her. Wok was already under Wolf. The assault of the young wolf attacking her legs, attempted to take cover, though it proved futile. Frustrated, Mei Lin swung her bloody hand, clutching a knife, at the wolf''s head. The knife made contact, but the wolf didn''t sustain significant damage. It seemed unsure of how to finish her off alone, opting instead to bide time and perhaps coordinate with the others to ultimately eliminate Mei Lin. As Mei Lin observed one of the older wolves approaching to assist, desperation set in, and increasingly dire ideas flashed through her mind. Realizing that this might be the end, she became more frantic. When the wolf moved in to attack, Mei Lin swung her knife, but unfortunately missed. The wolf lunged at her, and she attempted to evade, only to be pressed against something sharp which entered her back. On the ground a jagged piece of wood pierced through the soil. In a desperate move, she managed to shift away just in time, causing the wolf to collide with the sharp wood. The makeshift weapon pierced through its lungs, leaving the wolf staring at Mei Lin. Seizing the opportunity, she grabbed her knife and plunged it into the wolf''s eye. With that, the wolf died. Enjoying this book? Seek out the original to ensure the author gets credit. Then she fell unconscious. A bloody wolf with purple eyes went near her and prepared to tear to pieces for his comrades. If he bites Mei Lin she will probably turn into a demon monster, but before he bites her, a very gentle hand catches his tail. This hand is Li Weis. Wolf turned around and felt that his tail would be torn apart. His eyes were suddenly crystal clear without purple color. Li Wei unintentionally touches the wolf''s soul and transforms it into something else. For the first time, Li Wei tapped into his inner power without being aware of it. Well, moment he touched the wolf he fell unconscious. Typically QI Condensation cultivators could sense their souls to a limited extent, but transforming shapes or directly touching the souls of adversaries was an unprecedented feat for even higher realm cultivators. Only special types of cultivators that cultivate soul techniques can achieve this feat, but only on their soul, not others. Li Wei had unwittingly used his inner ability. ***** On the bid snail under the umbrella sleeping deity opened her eyes. Her crystal-clear gaze radiated a brilliant light that pierced through the entire forest. With these all-seeing eyes, she beheld the reshaped soul of the wolf. A sinister smile curled upon her lips as she closed her eyes once more, perhaps harboring secret intentions linked to the unfolding events in the mysterious and enchanted realm. ***** The spider immediately rushed back to Mei Lin and Li Wei, hidden from their view. In an instant, it killed the wolf with a spider web fashioned into a needle-like form. The needle pierced the wolf''s head, instantly extinguishing its life and soul, ensuring that it could not be reincarnated. It was a swift and decisive end, bringing about absolute death for the wolf. After killing this wolf spider''s gaze shifted to first youngest wolf which was fighting unconscious. Spider didn''t get the order to kill this order so he watched this unconscious wolf and what he would do then he woke up. If he runs away he will let him go but if he tries to attack Li Wei he will die. The only problem will be to cover his steps, so Li Wei will not figure out that he was all the time protected and the spider never helped him and he ended up in this situation. Spider entered a deep state of thinking about a plan to solve this situation. Not long after excellent idea was created. Complete foolproof plan. The spider will enter his mind with the web and create an illusion for the wolf so if he wakes up he would immediately run away. Spider was pleased with his brilliant idea. After achieving his goal he again went back into the tree and spread his aura so no animal would approach. ***** Every living being can reincarnate but if someone kills another one and destroys his soul, he can''t reincarnate anymore and is completely dead. This death is very common when lever cultivators fight. They usually completely kill their enemies before they don''t want them to reincarnate and take revenge. The spider eliminated this wolf so drastically because of an order from the deity. She surely has a good reason for this action.
