《A new world means happiness?》 the void and classes Have you ever had this dream where you were falling into nothingness? Just blackness and the feeling of vertigo. This is the closest most people get to feeling the void in between worlds, now multiply this by 10 and this is how Itsuki was currently feeling. Last night he went to bed and woke up in this nothingness, just black no matter where he looked. "At least I still have my clothes on." he looked down at his simple shorts and T-shirt when they suddenly started to glow and change to mediaeval clothing. When the glowing of his clothing stopped a floating, glowing piece of parchment appeared in front of him. On the parchment was a drawing of a man with wings. ¡°An angel?¡± Itsuki asked while the drawing of the man was stretching. ¡°I''m not an angel, boy. I''m Hermes, the god of messages, travel, and more.¡± Itsuki looked at the drawing move and spoke, it was weird, the noises weren''t coming from the piece of paper but from its mind. He tried to remember what he was told about the Greek gods but the drawing of Hermes stopped him. ¡°The Greek gods of your world are nothing related to us but names and jobs, we share different personalities and pasts so you can forget about it.¡± Itsuki nodded as Hermes explained what was going on. Earth, the planet that Itsuki was from, has a lot of mana that almost no one uses. Earth wasn''t the only planet in the universe that didn''t use mana, there are around 1000 plants that don''t use mana that are being called Full of mana planets (F.M.P for short) because no one uses that mana. Most of those were scientifically advanced and usually had one humanoid species (humans, elves, dwarfs, etc..), the birth rate was lower at those plants but the death rate was lower as well, people lived longer because there weren''t any dangerous monsters like dragons and the usage of medicines against disease. The rest of the 5000 plants that host life have the exact opposite: higher death rates, higher birth rates and lower span of life and they also lack mana because everyone uses them. ¡°So what does that have to do with me?¡± Itsuki looked at the god, he was pretty sure what was going to happen but needed confirmation. ¡°The gods of plenty of the mana-using planets transfer mana from that 1000 F.M.P to get more mana because the humanoids are using mana too fast and it can¡¯t regenerate fast enough. Now, to transfer mana one needs to also transfer a person or a soul, usually it will be a dead person ....¡± ¡°I died!?¡± Itsuki gasped as he tried to remember how he did. ¡°Let me finish you stupid mortal. As I was saying, usually we will take someone who died or someone who has no will to live but still keeps on living. And before you ask, no, you won¡¯t be getting any cheat powers, we aren''t trying/ to get the world destroyed or get united into one nation so don''t think about it.¡± Hermes stopped and let Itsuku sink in what he just said. After a few minutes, Itsuki looked at him and asked. ¡°Can I go back?¡± ¡°No, this is a one-way trip and it is in the process where we can''t undo it, not like you have everything to return to, everything related to your memory was wiped, and every picture or video you were on disappeared. It will be too much of a hassle to reimplant you in every person''s memory we took, erasing is easy, but reimplanting is harder. And before you ask, the gods of the earth don¡¯t care that we take people and mess with a few people''s memory, they don''t care about you and neither do we so let¡¯s move on to the next phase.¡± Hermes clapped his hand and next to him on the parchment appeared what looked like a status board just like in RPGs. Name: Dave Class: TBD
Level:1 HP:110 MP:130
Strength:7 Vitality:11 Agility:8 Intelligence:13 Preception:5
The first thing Itsuki noticed when he saw the profile was the name on it. "my name is Itsuki, not Dave." "You will stand out too much, also you aren''t even Japanese." Itsuki, or now Dave as Hermes decided just sighed under his breath. "you can blame my anime-obsessed parents for that." As Dave said that Hermes snapped his fingers, and the status sheet disappeared and was replaced by a list of what appeared to be the classes.
Warrior: from hand-to-hand combat to the use of the sword the warrior can be a tank to a damage dealer. +3 to strength, +2 vitality, +1 to the rest of the stats at each level.
Mage: the ability to use mana to form reality. From the common element ball to healing and even taming monsters. +3 to intelligence, +2 to perception +1 to the rest of the stats at each level.
Rouge: from sneaking around to tracking people. The rouge uses everything it can to defeat an enemy. +3 to agility, +2 to perception, +1 to the rest of the stats at each level.
¡°Those are the basic classes, at level 10 you will be offered to evolve your class in different directions depending on your actions and skills and your past life.¡± Hermes said while Dave looked at the classes deep in thought. ¡®the warrior will be a good way to level up fast and alone but my stats are built more for either a mage or rouge. My wisdom is higher probably because of all the puzzles I enjoyed doing like Rubix cube and riddles. I should probably go with mage based on my stats but there are a lot of jokes about how fragile they are, though based on my agility I could probably run from most monsters¡ Also, most chances are that I will be alone for a while, the gods don''t care about me or anyone else apparently.¡¯ Hermes was looking at Dave with an annoyed look as he waited. ¡°Can you hurry up, I have 9 more people after you. Yes, you will be alone, we are going to send you to a forest with basic equipment like a tent, a few sandwiches and a starting gear for class and a guidebook to it and the world so just choose already or I will do it for you!¡± Dave snapped and quickly said, ¡°Mage, I''ll be a mage!¡± As soon as Dave said that his body started to glow bright blue, sending him to his new world, Spade. ¡°Just 9 more to go Hermes and then the mana will be back to normal¡ skills and affinities When Dave came to he found himself in the middle of a forest near a lake, what was he doing here again? Oh right, he was kidnapped by some stupid gods because of some mana problems they had. ¡°Deep breaths, Itsu¡ oh I guess my name is Dave now? Another act by those stupid gods.¡± he slowly got up and looked down at himself, wanting to make sure that nothing had changed about his body, everything seemed to be fine and when he felt down his body he didn''t find anything new like horns or longer ears, everything was the same as it used to. He sat down near a tree where there was a small bag, dave picked it up and looked inside to find a few small books, a tent, some tools like a knife, a box and a few rations that would probably last a month. ¡°A space-time bag huh? I guess it is normal here or they wouldn''t give one to me.¡± He took out the box, it was about 50x30x20 cm, inside was a robe and a pair of gloves, probably the mage starter gear that Hermes told him about. As he finished putting on the robe and gloves he felt a faint sense of warmth flowing over his body. He grabbed the bag and climbed on a nearby tree as he didn''t know if there were any dangerous creatures. As he lay on a steady, thick-looking branch he pulled out one of the two books he was given. The book was called ¡°Introduction to Magic¡± and luckily it was in English. it explained that each person was able to use magic of any kind as long as they had an affinity for it, people were born with an affinity or even multiple affinities and you could get affinities by surrounding yourself with an element related to the affinity (bury yourself in the earth, burn yourself with fire, sit underwater, be in the middle of a wind storm) but they take a lot of time, effort and understanding of the elements so most people train the elements they are born with. To check his affinity Dave opened his status and found a few changes to it

affinities: taming+summoning, fire, earth and space
The first thing Dave noticed was the (+1) in his intelligence stat, it grew by 3 not 1, it also wasn''t the only stat that grew, probably because of the class so why the +1? After a bit of thinking he remembered that sometimes gear in RPG increased stats, he took off one glove and after checking his status the (+1) to intelligence disappeared and his mana went down to 160. after a bit of messing around with the gloves and robe, he found out that all of them needed to be on for him to get the +1, like some set bonus. Dave then looked at the new addition to the status sheet, the skills. The first thing that stood out to him was the mana control he was very curious about what they meant by "The system will help" How will the system help him? was it there for everyone or just for people who are from different worlds? after looking at the rest of his skills he noticed it was only for skills in levels 1 or 2 which probably means it is something to help beginners. after examining the skills he was curious to learn how rhythm is supposed to be important to casting magic so he quickly took a look at his affinities. "taming and summoning are usually two different classes in RPGs..." Dave tried to focus on the affinity, hoping new information would pop up but it was not built in, maybe he could learn a spell in the book. He decided to close the statue and refocus on the book. After explaining the affinities, the book moved on to explain how to feel the mana, it suggested sitting down and meditating until feeling a warm sensation, after feeling the warm sensation you should imagine it moving in your body until you can comfortably move it around your body with ease so that what dave did. he closed the book and closed his eyes, trying to envision a warm feeling inside of him. It took him a few minutes before he finally felt something but as soon as he did he moved on to moving the mana, he imagined the mana moving like air in his blood cells so it was pretty easy for him, while he practised that he continued to read, wanting to learn his first spell. Magic and new skills Dave sat on the branch, still, book in hand as he tried to understand how to cast his first spell. "for the first spell we recommend one of the elemental attacks (air slash, water ball, earth bullet, fireball) first gather the mana where you want it to come out from your body, for example, the hand. now picture the magic you want to happen. while you picture the image you will need to follow a certain rhythm." Dave took in the instruction and pictured a metronome that was going around 50 bpm. While the metronome was playing in his mind he pictured a ball of fire growing larger and hotter with each beat. after the fourth beat, he opened his eyes to find nothing. it was disappointing, all he felt was warmth leaving him which was mana. He tried, he failed and he lost 10 points of mana. "if I stop trying now I''ll keep saying later.." He moved around a bit, trying to find a more relaxing position as he continued trying to cast his first spell. after losing another 50 points of mana he finally did it, a ball of about 5 cm in diameter, appeared in front of him. If you touched it for a second you would probably just shake it off and think nothing of it but it was his first-ever spell and he was proud of it, the dopamine encouraged him to keep trying, make bigger balls and make them even hotter, so he did so.
New skill gained: Fire Magic
In the end, he was at 0 mana and a few burn marks on nearby trees beside where he was sitting. As he waited for his mana to replenish he continued reading the book. "the element of space is hard to require, it can only be found in people from different worlds that the gods summoned, their descendants and heroes. Because of that, the space element may have been impossible for normal people when it was discovered but now it is common. most heroes form harems and sire a lot of children which made the space element become common." As Dave read it he had one thing in his mind. "Stupid harem protagonists..." he flipped the book as he tried to forget about the Harem protagonists and all the trouble they brought in all of the books he read, hoping it wouldn''t happen to him. "The Taming+summoning affinity is common around farm people, requiring them to be around animals or monsters for a long period. A lot of people have it but not many use the skills or tame monsters since it forces you to always be in danger, the fact you were able to form a taming contract doesn''t force the monster or the animal to like you, they may still attack you. If you are confident in the bond between the creature and you or are willing to take the risk of the creature attacking you there is another problem. After making a contract you may store your creature in a special dimension, it may sound great but the cost of summoning or storing the creature is 1500 mana. those reasons make this affinity one of the most unused even though the number of people who have it is high." Dave sighed as he finished reading the description. "I guess that rules out me becoming powerful by taming a lot of creatures, I need to have a strong bond with them for them to listen to me.." Dave decided to come back to that idea later as he continued reading about spells he might be able to use later and after a few pages he finally found it! The Identify spell! But he didn''t have any mana right now. Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. After putting the book back in the bag, Dave decided to explore more of the forest, maybe find an empty shack he could use as his resting place. he got done from the tree and looked around. the sun was in the middle of the sky which meant it was around noon, he had at least 5 hours before the sunset. As he walked around he started to regret using all of his mana on practising the fireball spell and not saving some in case he needed it for something else like the identify spell, but he couldn''t change the past he would just have to move on. after 2 hours of searching, Dave found himself near a small cave that was empty. the cave was only 2 meters tall and 5 deep, it was more of a hole than a cave but it was a start. it was also only 50 meters from the lake so if he was thirsty he could always go there. dave also had a secret plan now that most of his mana was back he could use one of the earth spells he found while he was up on that tree. The spell was "earth wall"! if he could create the wall while he was inside then no dangerous animal could attack him while he was sleeping! It was brilliant! After an hour of hard work and his mana back to 0, Dave was all alone inside his small hole cave with a bit of an opening for light and air to come through but now he was also stuck inside his hole cave since his mana was at 0 "at least I have some air and light..." dave laid down on the hard dirt as he put his bag down and used it as a pillow to sleep, in the end his first day on this new world wasn''t terrible, he did forget to eat though...

Just as he thought the same weird sentence in both fire and earth magic skills. ¡°the system will help guide you when you need help.¡± so far the system has done nothing to help. As Dave was about to remove the earth wall he tried to focus on those words which made a window pop up. Reading on this site? This novel is published elsewhere. focus on the mana and imagine the wall disappears little by little with each beat
As soon as the words disappeared from his view he heard a soft beat going at around 100 BPM, it was faster than he thought but after a few failed attempts the wall disappeared and he saw the wide forest once again. ¡°So that''s what it meant, I should probably not use it if I''m in a fight, the high BPM would probably throw me off.¡± while Dave was mumbling to himself his stomach started to rumble, reminding him that he didn''t eat at all yesterday. He grabbed his bag and climbed up a nearby tree. While he sat on a steady branch, eating a sandwich with some dry unrecognisable meat in it he took out the second booklet he got from Hermes, this one was about the main continent and the areas. Apparently, there was only one continent and a lot of small islands in this world. the name of this world and the continent was Spade, it got that name based on the shape of the continent. Dave was currently in what seemed to be a forest named "Iwan"(at least that is what Hermes said) and was in the middle of the continent to the south of him were two countries. south-west of him was Frttich and to the southeast was Teflady. To the west of him was Bichadom and to the east of him was Verdaloon. now to the north of him was Tgeormed and if you go even further north you will find yourself in front of the biggest mountain in the world, and its name is Ogoleet but most people call it by a different name because of the creatures that live there, dragon mountain. Last but not least was the country called Eppasone which was where Iwan Forest is. Dave skimped most of the countries'' descriptions, he noticed all species lived peacefully together, there wasn''t a country for a specific race of humanoid. some islands did so but not a country in the main continent. what he did make sure not to skimp on was the details on Eppasone and Iwan forest. "Eppasone is a country ruled by a queen and king, the queen is the ruling figure in this country and the king is usually the one who marries into the royal family. this country was founded by a female hero in the distant past. She killed a few kings and queens of small countries and combined those countries into one before suddenly disappearing. Still, not before leaving a few heirs." As soon as Dave finished reading he couldn''t help but remember how Hermes told him they didn''t need another hero to try to unite the entire world. "huh, the gods probably killed her because she tried to conquer the continent." "Iwan forest is a small forest that for some reason countries keep fighting for, it doesn''t have any special ingredients or strong monsters so it''s unclear why countries keep fighting for it." "That sounds ominous, I hope there won''t be a war while I am here..." fishing and the first monster Dave was walking around the forest. He found a place to sleep for the next couple of days, he had no reason to leave this forest and he wasn''t planning to do so any time soon. "If I visit a town and they found out I''m a person from another world they would probably take me to the queen, I have no interest in politics." Right now, the important thing was finding food, the supply that Hermes gave him wouldn''t last forever, he would need something to eat, and fruits alone wouldn''t cut it he needed some meat or fish. and just his luck, he was near a lake so that was the first thing he would try. dave sat down on the water only in his underwear, he watched the fish swim past him, from time to time he would try to grab one but the fish were too fast for him, he had to come up with a different approach. he noticed a big fish that was lying on the bottom of the lake, he concentrated on the ground and imagined a box made of dirt. He put his hands on the ground near himself, channelling mana to the ground as he asked the system for help. but no answer came, maybe the system thought he didn''t need help. Dave started to imagine the metronome playing at 80 bpm, he needed to be fast or the fish would run away before he could finish. He sat there quietly for a few seconds before he imagined the box being created, first were the walls to surround the fish, then came the roof, and after that came the floor, as dave opened his eyes he found that he was successful, he grabbed the box made of earth and picked it up. "that''s heavy! Fuck, I forgot the box would be filled with water!" he carried it out of the water, telling himself that next time he should make a circle so he could roll it out of the water. Once Dave was out of the water he put down the box and started looking for some dry branches and leaves to create a small fire, he might have magic but his magic was too small to cock the fish. after half an hour of searching, he finally gathered a big enough pile of wood. he took out the knife he got from Hemes and made a small hole to get all the water out, he could hear the fish splashing in the box without the water. once that was over Dave made a bigger hole and took out the fish, he grabbed a a branch he had sharpened with his knife earlier and stuck the fish in it. after he made sure the stick wasn''t falling he lit the fire with his magic and waited for the fish to be cooked, how would he be able to know if it was cooked, he had a small trick he was planning on using, the identify spell. the identify spell should give him a simple description of the fish he was currently cooking. The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Big Salmon: a fish that swims in a river. Raw.
he checked every few minutes and on his 3rd attempt, he finally got it! the description changed!
Cooked Big Salmon: a fish that swims in a river. It was cooked over a fire with no spices.
As Dave was blowing on his fish, trying to cool it down he heard a rustle coming from the bushes beside him followed by a "beahh" sound. it probably wasn''t a human, maybe an animal, he couldn''t be too careful he put the fish down and climbed a nearby tree, as he looked down at where he was a minute ago he saw a small fluffy sheep smelling the cooked fish. "sheep eat fish in this world?" he asked himself but the sheep didn''t eat the fish, it just sat down near the warm fire and closed its eyes. "What is a sheep doing in a forest anyway?" As Dave slowly got down from the tree he decided to use the identify spell on the sheep, maybe it was actually a monster
Flueep: a Type of sheep monster that is harmless, farmers cut the monster wool and make clothing out of it.
Relief floods Dave as the system mentions the word harmless, the monster probably won''t be able to hurt Dave. so Dave grabbed the knife, he probably wouldn''t find another harmless monster like that, this was a chance to get more food, his hands were shaking as he got closer to the sheep. but he couldn''t do it, the Flueep was just too cute. he sighed softly as a sudden idea appeared in his mind. "maybe I could tame it?" Sheepy the Flueep Dave was currently sitting next to the Flueep, for some reason, the little monster didn''t try to run when Dave first sat down, it even made happy noises when it saw him, maybe it was due to the animal care skill he has, but the Flueep isn''t an animal, it is a monster. Dave decided that was a sign that he should tame the little sheep, he grabbed his book and read the chapter on how to tame a monster. To summarise, you will need to draw 2 circles around the monster, first a small one then a big one, after you do so you will need to step into the bigger circle, draw a circle around yourself and connect it to the small circle around the monster, after that all that is left is to let your mana flow to the magic circle you drew. Dave closed the book and followed the instructions he drew the 3 circles and let his mana flow from his feet to the ground. As soon as the mana left his feet the circles started to glow softly and the sheep made happy noises, did it know what was happening? was it something it wanted? Dave didn''t have any answers but what he did have was a new skill and the profile sheet of the Flueep.
Congratulations, you have succeeded in your first taming and therefore gotten the skill "Taming"

As Dave looked over the status sheet of his new buddy he noticed the last skill that was written there. "is that why you didn''t run from me?" He asked as he bent down and petted the little Flueep on its cute head. "I guess I should name you, you don''t really have a name, do you?" Dave thought to himself for a few minutes about what to name his tamed monster while he played with it. " From now on you shall be known as sheepy!" it seems his naming sense was just as horrible as the god who changed his name...
