《You're Alright, Larusso》 Chapter I Daniel''s POV Daniel''s asleep when suddenly he hears an annoying beeping sound beep beep beep. Daniel wakes up and turns off the alarm clock, stretching. He rubs his eyes and yawns "First day on the job" he mutters. Don''t get him wrong he was excited but he didn''t like waking up early, but he had to get ready, he wouldn''t want to be late for his first day that would leave a bad impression so he got out of bed and went to take a shower. He looked at the clock he had about half an hour to get to the school so he made scrambled eggs and brewed some coffee. He watched tv while he ate and before he knew it, he had to head to the school. He got in his car and put the coordinates to the school in his GPS because he didn''t want to have to explain that he was late on his first day on the job because it was his first time in the state and he was lost. That would be super embarrassing. Chapter II Johnny''s POV Johnny wakes up in his car; it''s uncomfortable, but it''s better than his shitty apartment. He checks the time; it''s 7:30, and he has to be at the school at 8:00. He goes into a shop and looks at himself in a mirror. "Shit, I look horrible," Johnny says. What''s he going to do? There isn''t a shower nearby. By the time he gets home to take one, he''ll be late. He thinks. Then he decides to buy deodorant and puts it all over his body. He also buys cologne, so he smells okay. He sniffs himself. "It could be worse," he sighs. He puts on the spare jumper and jeans that he has in the trunk of his Avanti. He checks the time again. It''s 7:45, and the school is 10 minutes away. He hopes there isn''t much traffic. He hops into his car to get to the school. When he gets to the school, it''s 7:56. "Phew, I made it in time," he says. He goes to his classroom, preparing for his first class: history. As a teen, he loved history. He found it really interesting. He''s happy to teach kids history, despite what that jerk Sid says. He''s happy with his job and wouldn''t change it for the world. He goes into the staff room and sees his friends; Bobby, Tommy, Jimmy, and Dutch and are all laughing together. He sits at their table. "Hi, Johnny," Bobby greets, grinning at Johnny. "Hey, Bobby," he replies. The others are too busy laughing to notice Johnny. He''s confused. "What''s so funny?" he asks. Tommy finally stops laughing to tell him, "We saw the new teacher, and Ali was all over him. It was hilarious! He was so uncomfortable," he laughs with tears in his eyes. They expected Johnny to laugh with them, but he gets mad, like really mad. "What?" Johnny fumed. They all stop laughing and realise that they messed up. "Yeah, but it''s ok. He looked totally uninterested, I promise," Dutch consoles, trying to calm Johnny. That didn''t calm Johnny down. It was so unfair. He tried for years to get Ali to notice him. But the second this new guy walks in, she''s all over him. "Where is he?" Johnny growled. "Calm down, Johnny; it''s not so bad," warned Jimmy. "Not so bad? This is a very big deal. Just tell me where he is," Johnny snapped. The others looked at each other, worried. Then Bobby spoke up, "He''s in classroom C4 getting ready for his first class, French. It''s nice to meet you. Your friends told me a lot about you. My name is Daniel Larusso. Are you Johnny Lawrence?" Johnny wanted to punch him. But he didn''t. The guy just had a punchable face and an annoying voice. "Yeah, nice to meet you, I guess," he whispered in the last part. ¡°What are you doing here? Don''t you have a class to prepare for?" Daniel questions Johnny. Johnny has had enough. He''d been working here before Larusso showed up. He knows how to do his job. "I already have; I was here before you; I think I know how to do my job," Johnny retorted. "Jeez, I was just saying," Daniel starts. But Johnny cuts him off. He needs to put this prick in his place. ¡°I don''t care about what you were saying. But do you know Ali Mills? She''s mine. So, I need you to back off. And I don''t want you talking to my friends. Got it?¡± And the guy has to say, "Yeah?, what are you going to do if I don''t?" And Johnny loses it; he pushes Larusso to the nearest wall and growls at him. "I will make your life here a living hell," but Larusso doesn''t look even a tiny bit scared. Johnny feels Larusso''s breath on him. Then he realises how close they are. He can see Larusso''s features closer now. His eyes look like those in a deer cartoon. What was its name? Ah, right, Bambi. Yes, his eyes are like Bambi''s. They are so big and brown. His hair looks so fluffy. Johnny wanted to run his fingers through it. He immediately shook his head away from the thought. It''s this guy''s first day, and he might already be falling for him. Wait, that''s wrong. He 100% hates Larusso. He''s annoying and has tried to steal Johnny''s girl (who isn''t his girl but will be). But then he makes the mistake of looking at his lips. And the thoughts come back. What would his lips taste like if they were to connect? He stops and realises that Daniel, not Larusso, is doing the same thing. His ears turn pink, wtf? He likes Ali, not boys. This just makes him madder. "I mean it, Larusso, don''t talk to any of my friends and stay away from Ali; you got that?" He growled. "Yeah, yeah, I got it." Larusso gulped. He doesn''t know if he wants to fight Johnny or kiss him; the way he says his last name is kind of hot. He shakes those thoughts away. "Ok, what the hell? This is so weird." But he knows for sure that he''s not going to stop talking to Ali and the others. For some reason, he feels drawn to Johnny, not Lawrence, and wants to push his buttons. But he also wants to listen to him. He doesn''t want to get beat up, even though he probably won''t. But Lawrence would find ways to make his life a living hell. But he''s just so handsome. His eyes are the colour of the sea. And his hair, my god, it''s beautiful. Those golden locks! And his lips. He wonders how they would taste if they kissed. He shakes those thoughts away again, "No, Daniel, you can''t crush on this guy. He''s bad news. He literally threatened you for stealing his girl.¡± But she isn''t his girl. She was all over him when he first came in. Y''know what? It doesn''t matter. School is about to start. He has to get ready. He''ll just ignore Lawrence today. He''ll do his best to stop thinking about him. Shit, why is he so Daniel groans. "This is going to be a long day," Daniel mutters to himself. Chapter III Daniel''s POV Before Daniel can go to talk to Lawrence and maybe try to rile him up a bit more and see what happens, ... Helpfgej!?? No, definitely not. The bell rings, and he has to get ready for his first class. He opens the door, and his students flood in. He decides to introduce himself because he is new. "Hi, my name is Daniel Larusso, and I will be your new French teacher for the year." "Today we are going to be learning about the ''future," he starts. -- The bells ring, signalling the end of his first class. Daniel goes to his second class. Maths-- "Ok, class is going to end in a few minutes, so for your homework, please do the questions on pages 42 and 43." Daniel states. His students groan; why are they annoyed? Daniel loved math when he was in school. It was easy and really fun (well, in Daniel''s opinion). "Groan all you want; you still need to do the homework," Daniel informs, just as the bells ring. His students practically sprint out the door, and Daniel packs up and locks the classroom door on his way out. He enters the staffroom. There he sees Ali, Bobby, Dutch, Jimmy, Tommy, and, thankfully, no Lawrence. "Hi Daniel, come sit with us," Bobby says, motioning to the seat beside him. Daniel didn''t know how to respond. Lawrence literally threatened him, telling him not to talk to his friends or else "he''ll make his life a living hell." Yeah, yeah right, he wouldn''t do anything. "Sure!" Daniel replied and made his way towards the group. He was almost there when he got stopped by Ali, and look, Daniel likes Ali; she''s nice and smart, but sometimes she can be a bit annoying, right now being an example. "Do you really want to sit with them?" Ali says, voice laced with disgust, ''Yeah, is there a problem?" Daniel replies confused, because, wtf? Why is she trying to stop Daniel from making friends?. "I guess not; it''s just that I want you to sit with me over there," Ali points to a small round table with two seats on either end in the corner of the room. Is she trying to leave Daniel alone? OK, this is too much. "Sorry, maybe we can eat together next time." Daniel is definitely not going to eat with Ali. "Oh, yeah, sure," Ali said, saddened, but Daniel couldn''t care less. In the end, he decides not to tell them, ''cause what''s the point?. "It''s been going well; the children are really nice, and the topics are really interesting," Daniel informs. It''s true that if he had learned this in high school, he probably would''ve gotten straight A''s in all his classes. Bobby nods his head and says, "That''s good." They dissolve into a comfortable silence, just eating their food. When Dutch says, "Hey Daniel, on Fridays we go out to a diner, sneak into parties, play games, get drunk on shitty, fancy champagne, we wanted to do it this Friday, but we can''t because Johnny has this thing he has to go to, but he''s free next Friday, and it''s kind of a tradition for all of us to be there. So if you want to come and if you''re free, do you want to come?" Dutch explains. Daniel blinks. "Oh, um sure," Daniel says, not really understanding what Dutch was saying. "Cool, we''ll see you there," Dutch says excitedly, and the others nod. "Right, see you there," Daniel answers. Is this a good idea? I mean, what if something really bad happens and the guys hate him? Daniel thinks. "Daniel, are you okay?" Jimmy asks nervously. "Yeah, I''m fine; I''m just thinking," Daniel stated. The guys look at each other, and they think he''s weird for talking to himself. "Ok," Jimmy chuckled. Phew, he hasn''t ruined his chances yet. The bells ring, and the guys head to the homeroom. Daniel doesn''t have to go, so he stays in the staff room, just thinking. If he goes with the boys next Friday, then he''ll be able to see Johnny again, and then maybe they can sneak off to a private area and they could talk about what happened, and maybe Johnny will say that he has a crush on him, and Daniel will say that he does too, and they''ll kiss. Who is he kidding? Johnny Lawrence has a crush on him. Not in a billion years, but maybe there might be a chance, and next Friday they''ll be kissing, and then Johnny will ask him on a date, and then he''ll ask Daniel to be his. The bells ring for the third class, geography; he''s always hated geography. He''s always hated geography. Daniel walks out of the staff room and sees Johnny, who had been talking to Ali, and can''t help but feel a little jealous. What''s the point of being jealous when he doesn''t have a shot with him, though? Ali is pretty, nice, and smart, and Daniel''s just Daniel; he huffs and leaves to get to his next class. Chapter IV Johnny''s POV ¡°Your homework is to read pages 72¨C74 and complete the questions,¡± Johnny informs the class just before the bell rings. ¡°Have a nice day!¡± He exclaims, and he packs up his laptop and binder, waits a second because all of the students are running towards the door, leaves, and locks the door. Usually, during lunch, he and his friends go to one of the local shops to get some food and watch TV. When Johnny enters the staff room, he sees Bobby talking to someone. He goes to say hi when he sees who Bobby¡¯s talking to¡ªnone other than Larusso. What the actual fuck? He remembers telling that prick to not talk to any of his friends, and here he is. If Larusso is talking to his friends, what else is he doing? Making moves on Ali, probably. You better believe that Johnny is going to make this guy''s life a living hell. He makes eye contact with Larusso, and he practically sprints out of the room. Yeah, that''s right, leave. When Johnny has him alone, he''s going to teach him what happens when he goes against the rules. That sounds weird; it doesn''t matter if it sounds weird because that''s what Johnny''s going to do, and that''s what that prick deserves. ¡°Hey Bobby!¡± he shouts, and Bobby turns around. ¡°What are you doing talking to Larusso?¡± Johnny says, infuriated, and Bobby has the nerve to just laugh at him. ¡°You''re calling Daniel by his last name now?¡± Bobby chuckled. ¡°You''re avoiding the question; what are you doing talking to that guy?¡± Johnny asks again, noticeably mad. ¡°Johnny¡± Bobby warns, ¡°He''s new to the school; I want to make him feel welcome. Are you acting like this because Ali''s interested in him?¡± Johnny doesn''t say anything. ¡°Oh my god, of course you are, Johnny; me and the guys could see that he wasn''t interested; you have nothing to worry about; Ali''s all yours,¡± Bobby explains, trying to calm Johnny down. So Larusso won''t have to see him? Larusso definitely asked them to do this; he was going to kick that prick¡¯s ass. ¡°Yeah, we know that''s why we''re not doing it this Friday; we''re doing it next Friday,¡± Bobby informs Johnny. Phew, thank God they aren''t going this Friday. Johnny thinks to himself, so Larusso wants to come even though Johnny will be there? Hmm, that''s interesting. ¡°But it''s tradition for only us to be there, not Larusso,¡± Johnny says, dissatisfied. ¡°Yeah, we''ll; he''s going to just have to be part of it." Bobby laughs, Johnny huffs, and says, ¡°Yeah, yeah, let''s just go to the shops." "Alright." Bobby replies, then calls out for Jimmy, Dutch, and Tommy. ¡°Come on, we''re going,¡± Bobby yells. ¡°Alright, alright, we''re coming; calm down,¡± Dutch yells back. Johnny and the guys go to the shop and watch TV while eating. Johnny looks at the time. It''s 1:45 p.m., and lunch finishes at 1:51 p.m. ¡°Guys, let''s go; we have to get to school in like five minutes." Johnny tells the others, and they all follow. When they reach the school, the warning bell rings, and Johnny prepares for his fifth class, Science. As a teen, Johnny didn''t really like science, but now that he''s teaching it, It''s actually really interesting and nice to learn about. The bell rings, and his students flood into the room. ¡°Good afternoon, students. Today we will be learning about evolution and natural selection." Johnny starts; his students look very interested, and he''s happy that they are. This topic is fun to learn about, and the experiments are even cooler. ¡°Take out your books and open them to page 59,¡± Johnny informs his students and starts the class. Chapter V Daniel''s POV ¡ª¡ªThe rest of the week goes by normally¡ª¡ª It was finally Friday and Daniel couldn''t be happier, don''t get him wrong, school is nice and all but all Daniel wants to do is leave and go to bed. Since Monday, he''s had to wake up at 6am to get to school and he''s been really tired, after today he gets to sleep in. Yeah, it''s only for two days but it''s better than nothing. Daniel takes a shower, dresses up and goes downstairs to make breakfast for himself. Since he has time he makes his famous bananarama pancakes, eggs, bacon and brews himself some coffee, he turns on the news and watches the tv while eating. Once Daniel was done, he washed his dishes and turned off the tv before exiting his house. He hopped into his car, but before he left he remembered that his phone was still in the house. God, if he forgot his phone that would have been so bad, as much as Daniel hates to say it but he needs his phone to survive (he doesn''t really, but he doesn''t want to leave his phone while he''s at work because what if someone breaks in and steals it? Or what if his mother calls him and it''s an emergency? You never know). Daniel finally finds his phone on the coffee table and checks his watch 7:25, ok, he has to go like now. He enters his car and speeds (thankfully without getting caught) to the school. He checks the time 7:50, phew he''s made it in time. He enters the school and goes to a classroom to get ready for his first class, Geography. ¡ª¡ªDaniel finishes his first two classes Geography and Maths, break goes by without any disturbance. He goes to his next classes French and Business, they go by smoothly¡ª¡ª It''s lunch and Daniel goes into the staff room, he doesn''t know if he wants to see Johnny there or not but it doesn''t matter because Daniel sees Johnny in the corner of the staff room, talking to Ali. Daniel rolls his eyes, he can''t help it he might be a bit jealous (he''s really jealous). ¡°Hey Daniel, come sit with us¡± Dutch yelled and Daniel kinda wished he didn''t, just then Johnny¡¯s head turned and he glared at Dutch and Dutch had the audacity to just shrug. Daniel decided that it was just better to leave ¡°I actually think I forgot something in my car, so I''m just gonna go eat there ¡± Daniel explains, feet backing up towards the door ¡°Are you sure Daniel?¡± Ali asks worriedly. Daniel nods, turns around and practically runs to his car. He enters his car, sighs and takes out his lunch. Johnny''s POV As soon as Daniel shut the door to the staff room, Ali spoke up ¡°Johnny you have to stop treating Daniel like that¡± ¡°What do you mean?¡± Johnny asks confused because what does she mean he has to stop treating Larusso like that? What has he done? (excluding Johnny threatening him) ¡°You know what I mean¡± Ali warns ¡°Daniel has been nothing but nice to everyone and you''re treating him like shit, it''s not fair¡± Johnny rolled his eyes, the only reason she cares is because she likes him. If Johnny was treating anyone else the way he was treating Larusso she wouldn''t care. ¡°So what? I don''t care¡± Johnny grumbled. ¡°Ali¡¯s right, you guys need to become friends Johnny. He''s not trying to start anything, you have to apologise¡± Bobby states. ¡°Are you serious?¡± Johnny asks because why does he have to apologise he hasn''t done anything. ¡°Yes, Johnny I''m serious. Either today or on Monday, you have to apologise to Daniel and be nice to him¡± Bobby concludes ¡°Fine¡± Johnny huffed. He would apologise to Larusso¡­ just not today. Daniel''s POV ¡ª¡ªDaniel finishes his last two classes and the bells ring signalling the end of the school day¡ª¡ª Daniel was so happy that school was over for the week, it''s been so stressful. He hears his name being called on the intercom and is kinda nervous because did he do something wrong? He enters the principal¡¯s office and sits down. ¡°Hi Daniel, Since this is your first week here I just wanted to ask how¡¯s it been? Hope it''s not too bad¡± Principal Jessica Andrews inquired ¡°Thanks for asking, it hasn''t been too bad. Chapter VI Johnny''s POV Johnny had just finished packing up and was about to lock the classroom door when he saw Larusso approaching him. What the hell does he want? Johnny doesn''t have to wonder about it for too long because Daniel is already next to him. "Uhh, Principal Andrews needs you" Daniel told Johnny. "Uhh, thanks I guess" responded Johnny. ..... It''s really awkward, they both don''t know what to say to each other "Well, yeah, ok I''m going to go" murmured Daniel. But before Daniel could leave, Johnny yelled after him. "Larusso, wait" Why would he do that!? "Yeah?" Daniel asked. Now, he has to say something or else Daniel would think that he''s weird and he''s definitely not the weird one here. "Look, I''m sorry for threatening you and whatnot. I guess I was just jealous and shitty so maybe we can start afresh? I totally understand if you don''t want to. I was a total asshole." apologised Johnny. Daniel''s eyes were wide and he looked like he was going to say something but then he shut his mouth. Johnny, being the (sorta) nice person, gives him space. "You don''t have to say anything now I just wanted to apologise" Johnny says and speed walks to Principal Andrews'' office. "Hi Jessica" Johnny says as he sits down "Johnny what have I told you about calling me by my first name when we''re at work? Please address me as Principal Andrews" responds Principal Andrews" "Ok, ok hello Principal Andrews" Johnny chuckled "Good afternoon Mr. Lawrence, I just wanted to tell you that on Monday we are expecting a new teacher" declared the principal "A new teacher!? Johnny followed the receptionist into a small room. In the room there was a hospital bed. On the bed lay his mother wearing an oxygen mask. She was pale and hooked to an IV secondary line. She was sleeping. "Hi Mom" Johnny whispered "I hope you''re feeling better" Johnny sniffled "I promise that I''ll get enough money to pay for your chemotherapy" Johnny sobbed. His mom was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of months ago and as soon as his stepfather heard. He ran off with a younger woman, said that he doesn''t want "a wife that''s going to die in a few months" and refused to pay for her chemotherapy. So for the past few months Johnny has been working his ass off so he could afford his mother''s chemotherapy. He''s a teacher during the day and works at a bar in the evenings. He barely gets enough sleep, but in the end it will all be worth it for his mom. --Johnny sits at his mother''s hospital bed holding her hand and sobbing. Chapter VIII Johnny''s POV ¡ª¡ªThe weekend goes by fairly well, but Johnny can''t stop thinking about Daniel¡ª¡ª Johnny wakes up, but for some reason he isn''t in his room. He looks to the side to see Daniel a few feet away from him. Daniel, what are you doing? Johnny asks. But Daniel ignores him. Hmm, that''s weird. ¡°Daniel¡± Johnny yells, but Daniel still ignores him. ¡°Leave me alone, Johnny.¡± Daniel fumes and Johnny''s heart feels like it''s been ripped out of his chest. ¡°What the fuck is happening to me?¡± Johnny asks as he puts his hands on his chest and gets blood all over them. Johnny can hear their voices, but he can''t make out what Ali and Daniel are talking about, but it''s probably important as Ali looks like she''s kinda blushing and Daniel has no emotion on his face, kinda creepy if you ask me. He can''t hear the voices, so Johnny decides to take a peek to see what they''re doing and sees Daniel up against the wall, hands on Ali, while Ali''s hands are around his neck and they''re k... kissing. Chapter XIV Daniel''s POV Daniel wakes up to the sound of his alarm. He turns off his alarm clock and goes to the bathroom. He takes a shower and puts on a short-sleeved shirt and some jeans. Then Daniel goes downstairs and makes himself some eggs, bacon, and coffee. After breakfast, he hops into his car and drives to school. Thank God that tomorrow is Friday because Daniel doesn''t think he can handle another day at this school without crying. After everything that happened yesterday, Daniel doesn''t think he can handle looking at Johnny. He probably isn''t here anyway. Even though it''s literally his job, Daniel thought to himself. Daniel was mad at the day because why can''t it be Friday already, he was mad at the weather because, of course, it just had to be raining. He was mad at the school because he always has to wake up so early to get to it every day. He was mad at Johnny for the stupid fight they had yesterday over a misunderstanding. But most of all, he was mad at himself for making Johnny believe that he doesn''t like him. For saying all those horrible things to him and letting him get away. He was so stupid, why would he do that? (A/N At least he knows that he''s partially at fault) No, this is not my fault. I was literally telling him that he had it all wrong, but he didn''t allow me to explain. "Whatever he was right about one thing, I don''t like Johnny and I will never like him" Daniel said sniffling. (A/N Yeah right, why are you crying?) Daniel remembers that he''s still in his car and gets out. He walks into the school and goes to his classroom for his first class. Maths. --Daniel finishes his first two classes, Maths and History, and goes to the staff room for lunch-- As he enters the staff room, Daniel sees Principal Andrews, Ali and Amanda (A/N I''m just going to call them the girls, and I''m going to call Principal Andrews "Jessica" from now on) and the guys. Johnny wasn''t there, though. I don''t know whether to be thankful or not about that. Whatever, Daniel thinks to himself. "Oh my gosh Daniel, I was texting you all night. Why didn''t you answer?" Jessica questions. "Oh, I''m sorry I didn''t see them" Daniel says. It was very obvious that he was lying, but if Jessica knew she didn''t say anything about it. "Oh, ok, but are you alright?" Amanda asks. "Y''know, after everything that happened yesterday, I didn''t think you would come in today" Ali mutters. "Of course I would come in, I can''t just not come to school because of a stupid fight, unlike some people" Daniel scoffs. Ok, the last part wasn''t necessary Daniel knows that, but he''s fine. There isn''t any need for them to worry. "Daniel..." Ali warns. "What? Look, I know what you guys are doing, but I''m fine, I don''t need anyone to comfort me. On the way to the exit he stumbles upon a classroom that was open which was weird because at the end of the day all of the classrooms are locked by the janitor, maybe he forgot? Daniel went inside the classroom. It looked like a Geography classroom because there were posters of the earth, a map of America and of natural disasters (volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, etc). Johnny teaches Geography, right? Daniel thought. Wait, why is he thinking of Johnny right now? He''s supposed to be mad at him. He shakes his head to try to clear the thoughts of Johnny from his head and sees something on the teachers'' desk. It looks like some kind of collage of photos or something. Daniel turns it over and is about to start crying. It''s the pictures they took when they went to Golf n'' Stuff. You could see Daniel on Johnny''s lap, and they were both blushing like crazy in all of them. But in the last photo, the way they were looking at each other was just so... Daniel couldn''t stop the memories of him and Johnny flooding his mind, and he started to cry. "So much for not crying" Daniel chuckled, but then the laughing turned into crying and this time he couldn''t stop. He must have been crying loudly because in a few minutes the girls all came rushing into the room and saw Daniel crying. "Oh my gosh, Daniel are you okay?" Ali queries. "I''m crying, what do you think?" Daniel decides to respond with. "Let me help you up" Jessica states. Daniel didn''t even know he was on the floor "I told you guys this was a bad idea" quavers Amanda. "What do you mean?" puzzles Daniel. "Jessica and Ali thought it would be a good idea to leave you and Johnny''s photos in the classroom and told the janitor not to lock it so you would find it" Amanda admits. They lean in slowly, Daniel wrapping his arms around Johnny''s neck, while Johnny takes hold of his waist, pulling him in even closer. Daniel opens his mouth to give Johnny''s tongue access to his, the kiss turns very passionate and the next thing you know Johnny''s mouth is on Daniel''s neck and he''s sucking.
