《Remnants of Tomorrow Book 2》 Prologue Prologue ¡°And with that, class is dismissed!¡± The ring of the bell sent a collective sigh of relief through the student body as another one of Port¡¯s lectures had wrapped up, more than twenty minutes after it was supposed to. One might suppose it was the style of the time. Xavier stood and stretched as he felt sleep threatening to take hold more than once throughout that endurance test, though it seemed he wasn''t getting away quite so easily.¡°Mathis! Come, join me for a moment would you?¡± Xavier hesitated as he watched Blake leave alongside her team, his gaze didn''t manage to attract hers, though he saw a quick wink from Yang, which gave him a small smile. Bereft of excuses, he would take a seat across from his colleague''s desk, and desperately needed a smoke¡¡°I understand that following this week, you will be taking the reins of your own class! I knew that our current arrangement would not last indefinitely, though I admit this is somewhat¡ peculiar.¡± Professor Port ran his fingers through his mustache as a gentleman might whilst embroiled in thought, his brow similarly furled to emphasize the curiosity that stemmed from his question. To which Xavier could really only shrug.¡°i¡¯m afraid i don''t know why oz planned it like this, be it spur of the moment or a plan since my arrival,¡± Port chuckled. It was a deep, hearty chuckle befitting his general tone and annunciation. ¡°Knowing the Headmaster, the answer is most likely somewhere in between. But let me ask, my boy, are you prepared for the responsibility that this position will give you? These children will depend on your guidance to help shape their futures after all.¡± Xavier¡¯s expression visibly fell upon being asked that question. ¡°i... don''t think i am, no, ...but then again, give me a hundred years to prepare and my answer most likely wouldn''t change,¡± Port seemed amused at what he supposed was hyperbole, and Xavier couldn''t blame him for thinking such. The more wizened man would stand and make his way over to Xavier, placing a hand on his shoulder. ¡°I believed much the same when I was younger and inexperienced. Why, when I was your age-¡± Port would fortunately catch himself upon seeing Xavier''s expression at the start of another long-winded lecture. He cleared his throat. ¡°Well, I suppose the most advice I can offer in a short sitting is this: Respect is very important between teacher and student. If you aren''t respected among your pupils, nothing you say will register with them.¡± Xavier nodded as he stood up. ¡°we''ll see if that becomes a problem¡ for right now, i could use a smoke,¡±The central courtyard was a sight that Xavier never seemed to tire of. The sunset was beautiful from this view, showing over the treetops and reflecting in the otherwise crystal clear fountain that stood as the central decoration of the entire space. Here is where he would come to clear his mind, to enjoy a cigarette in peace, at least until someone came around to disturb him. Fortunately, this disturbance was one that he anticipated. Ruby would approach, attempting no doubt to be sneaky. It may have even worked, if Xavier hadn''t been developing a new trick. Taking a deep breath between drags, eyes closed, he could feel the presence of her aura as she approached. The trick was being able to tell it apart from the others, but Ruby''s in particular stood out. ¡°something you need, kid?¡± She froze almost immediately, giving a nervous laugh before clearing her throat. Ruby Rose was no stranger to awkward situations but this was¡ Something else. ¡°Blake, um, asked me to pass on a message since I probably would run into you first.¡± Xavier gave a slow nod. It had been close to two weeks since he had really gotten a chance to speak to Blake. Since their conversation on the truth of his existence, as one-sided as it really was, he was surprised to hear anything at all. With no small amount of trepidation, be would finish his drag and speak. ¡°...alright, lay it on me¡± Ruby could tell from the quiver in his voice that he was particularly nervous about something. Though as much as she wanted to pry for the sake of her teammate, her friend, and her sister as well, she held her tongue. ¡°She says that she''s thought alot about it, and wants to meet you in town.¡± This story has been unlawfully obtained without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. The question immediately came to mind and nearly left his lips instantly. Though, in this case, a bit of restraint could work wonders. ¡°...did she say where?¡± Ruby shook her head a bit. ¡°No, but knowing Blake, she''s probably going to find you first.¡± Xavier slowly nodded. Even if he could get a lock on her aura from a distance, which didn''t seem possible right now, there was every chance that he wouldn''t find her if she didn''t want to be found. ¡°guess i¡¯m headed into town then, i''ll see you later kid,¡± ¡°Hey wait.¡± She said softly, grabbing the sleeve of his jacket almost like a child tugging at her father''s sleeve. ¡°How... Did you know I was coming? I was all stealthy and everything!¡± Xavier chuckled slightly before answering. More amused than anything. ¡°my semblance is... complex, i¡¯ve got a few tricks i can pull with it,¡± Ruby didn¡¯t seem to buy it at first, but decided to drop it for the moment, letting him go out on the Bulkhead. Along the way he would hear the talk of students planning trips to various places throughout Vale and beyond. Tomorrow marked the start of a vacation of sorts, a break between semesters. The odds were that he wouldn¡¯t see many of his students for the next couple of weeks. Xavier didn¡¯t exactly have anywhere else to go, so he wasn¡¯t especially looking forward to this. The mask of his smile dropped once he was on the airship itself, giving a deep sigh and fidgeting with a cigarette, knowing full well he couldn¡¯t actually light it yet. He hated flying, or at least flying with machines. Even under his own power, it was an uncomfortable experience. Regardless, however, he managed to keep his mind occupied until the ship reached the landing. A thousand thoughts raced through his head at once, about the next few weeks, about how he would prepare, about¡ her. As soon as the ship landed and he was free to do so, he would leave and light up, getting a few looks from passersby about the unclothe timing of that choice, but at this point, he was willing to take the risk. Figuring that the cryptic nature of Ruby''s message would rely on a place both of them would know where to get to, it quickly became apparent. The restaurant. Once Xavier had located the place, a hole-in-the-wall burger joint with d¨¦cor that resembled a diner from the 1950¡¯s on Earth, he saw that his guess was a good one as, sitting at the corner booth by herself, was Blake. This wasn''t the type of place that she would frequent, but perhaps that was the point.Xavier would take one last drag before crushing out his smoke and making his way to the table, sitting across from the Faunus girl. His heart was pounding in his ears, enough that he almost didn''t catch her casual greeting, but he smiled and gave a subtle nod before grabbing hold of a menu. ¡°...i got the message,¡± He said with a hint of amusement once he found himself able to speak once more. Blake would look up, and for the first time in weeks, it was just them, her face turned red and she couldn''t keep her eyes on him for very long. ¡°You''re early.¡± She managed to say, likewise just as, if not more nervous. Ironically, knowing that they were both nervous about this whole affair put him a bit more at ease, even giving him a bit of a reason to smile. ¡°what¡¯s this really about?¡± He asked, not incredulously, but more out of understandable curiosity. She took a moment before answering his question, hesitant to do so. ¡°You... Don¡¯t do drugs do you?¡± ¡°nope¡± He said without missing a beat. ¡°but i get the reaction,¡± She slowly nodded. ¡°So... You¡¯re saying that everything you told me then is true. All of it.¡± And a return of her nod with his own. ¡°every last bit, right down to the promotion effective¡ after break i suppose,¡± Blake let out a long sigh, not relieved by any means it seemed. ¡°Okay... I... I¡¯ve thought about it. Actually it¡¯s practically been the only thing on my mind since we talked.¡± She admitted sheepishly, one hand grabbing onto her upper arm as she only barely looked up. ¡°Xavier, I-¡± And with that, the alarm from his glasses would rouse Xavier from his slumber, the memory of that day still firmly at the forefront of his consciousness. Xavier sighed and grumbled as he took the spectacles from his nightstand and placed them on before deactivating the alarm. It was Saturday, the last weekend before the new semester would begin. In two days, he would teach his first class, but as for today, the first thing on his mind would be food... Chapter 1: Professor Mathis Chapter 1 Over the course of the midsummer weeks that had gone by with little activity in Beacon, Xavier had spent as much of his time as possible going over everything necessary for today to begin, from writing down short guides and reference material as best as he could remember, to scouring this world''s internet for anything even remotely resembling the martial arts he himself had been taught. While names certainly differed, it seemed that Remnant''s own martial arts had been founded for similar reasons as those of earth with escalating conflicts throughout history. This was refreshing in a way, a little too convenient perhaps that he could simply instruct his own spin on existing materials, maybe even patent some names should it come down to it? The thought had crossed his mind more than once throughout his time, but it wasn''t one he acted on. Xavier sat alone in his classroom, his simple desk, provided by Ozpin, had several notebooks and binders of printed out diagrams stacked upon it in a somewhat disorganized fashion. At this point, Xavier knew not much else could be done, though when the door to the classroom opened a bit earlier than expected, he was a bit surprised. When the Headmaster entered, he was even more surprised. Ozpin took a few steps into the class while looking around, and casually grabbed one of the notebooks from Xavier''s desk. The older man silently poured over it momentarily before seeming to nod in satisfaction. He would then speak. "When I gave you this task, I felt as though it was simple enough to fulfil in a timely fashion. I''m pleased to see that you''ve taken to it seriously, even though your course material is..." Xavier would quickly fill the awkward pause with his own thoughts on the matter. "amateurish?" Ozpin nodded. "I suppose that''s one way to phrase it. Perhaps correct, but there are others." He gave a soft smile as he sipped his cocoa, Xavier got a chuckle from the observation. "...so would you say i''m ready?" He asked nervously, and now it was Ozpin''s turn to chuckle. "We''re a bit past being able to worry about that, wouldn''t you say?" And he would simply leave the classroom, leaving Xavier more than a bit anxious about that interaction. Nevertheless, the old man was right. Before long the bell would ring... Students of all types flooded into the classroom. Xavier recognized most as the first years he had been instructing before, but there were new faces as well. Almost a hundred students total filled the room, at a guess, the ones he didn''t recognize were older, but they were all chattering. Thankfully this was the first class of the day, so the teams were very sleepy and relaxed, settling in for a long day of classes more than anything, so they were a bit easier to control. Easier being the key word, not easy. Xavier would check his glasses and wait for the proper time for class to start before giving a bit of a loud whistle. "...everyone? your attention please," He would stand from his desk, if it could be called that, and walk to the blackboard. The gaze of most were upon him, though a handful were still whispering amongst themselves, and a few were even asleep... Including Blake. Nevertheless, Xavier cleared his throat and continued. "...some of you already know me, but for everyone else, my name is mr. mathis, i don''t think i''ve earned professor yet," He gave a short pause to let any potential laughter come and go, fortunately there was some to be had as a girl wearing a tan turtleneck sweater, dark brown beret and sunglasses inside had a small chuckle, with the rest of her team (he assumed) giving amused looks amongst themselves. "...and i''m going to teach you how to fight without your weapons," "Aw boy..." Ruby hid her face a bit. Yang snickered at her little sister''s reaction since both her and her Father had always always always been on Ruby''s case about that topic. Xavier could hear a few curious murmurs, and so would address them. "to answer the first few questions, 1. you may find yourself having to fight, and not kill someone, 2. you can turn the tables on an opponent if you have superior hand-to-hand skill to them, and 3. if you are disarmed and/or your aura is depleted, you will want to have something to fall back on..." He looked over his body of students, looking towards Pyrrha first and foremost. "...some of you already know the benefits of this, i may call upon you for aid and examples, like miss xiao long or miss nikos," Yang proudly raised her fist in the air while Pyrrha sheepishly looked down with a light blush dotting her cheeks. "others, be prepared to learn, it may hurt, but once your technique is down, your life will be easier, trust me," The reaction was fairly tame as many seemed to have tuned out right from the start of his little speech. This... was pretty much what he expected. "it''s early, everyone''s waking up, leaders if you could make sure your teams are at least paying attention i''d appreciate it... we''re going to skip the first lecture that i had planned since no one wants to bother this early in the morning, and instead, move onto something basic, i need five volunteers that are confident in their skills," That caused... quite a stir. Five? Teams were four members each... things were complicated, but two full teams raised their hands, with one having all but the leader lower their hands afterwards, giving him exactly 5 participants. He gave an amused clap and chuckled slightly. "excellent, leave your weapons at your desks and come on down here to the demonstration area," The so-called demonstration area was large enough for approximately a one-on-one engagement if neither participant were particularly agile. Xavier would have the volunteers line up and appraise them to see who should go first. "why don''t we start with your names, i''d like to know my students a bit," The first voice came from the girl with the beret. She was tall and a bit broad for a girl her age, her dark brown hair fell lazily over one shoulder, though her outfit spoke of someone who refused to compromise between fashion and function. "Coco Adel. Second year. Leader of team CFVY." She lowered her glasses a bit as she spoke, her eyes were a simple, earthy brown but had an intensity behind them. She was trying to gauge Xavier, and he could see it. "Fox Alistair. Second Year. Team CFVY." The next one up was a faunus, his foxlike ears and long ponytail bore a natural ginger color that contrasted with his dusky complexion in a unique way. He wore a sleeveless vest that Xavier could only assume was some form of dyed leather, red as it was, as well as fingerless gloves that matched the coloration of his top, and worn dark slacks that had several stitches. "Um... Velvet Scarletina. Team CFVY. Oh, S-Second year." Another faunus, she seemed to tremble a bit when called upon, as if fighting the urge to hide behind her teammates. She was the shortest among them if one didn''t count her rabbit ears. Velvet sported a rich brown for her eyes and flowing long hair of the same color, her outfit was one that contrasted with her leader in that it seemed to purely be functional over all else. She sported what seemed to be combat overalls with a thick sweater top and proper boots for harsh environments. "Yatsuhashi Daichi. Second year. Member of Team CFVY." Lastly among the second years was a giant of a man that stood what Xavier could wager to be around 170 centimeters, he was as broad as he was tall with well developed muscle. The giant spoke rather plainly, softly even, for his appearance. His outfit showed quite a bit of muscle with the torn sleeves of his top, his pants were cut in a way that they wouldn''t impede his movement, Xavier assumed he was a powerhouse that required wide stances to make the most of that trait. "Cardin Winchester. Leader of Team CRDL." And finally was someone that Xavier was... less than excited to see. Cardin came prepared it seemed, wearing his ornamented armor and being cheered on by his cronies, Xavier had to consciously refrain from rolling his eyes. "beautiful..." He took a slight breath and cleared his throat. "since this is our first day here, we''re going through some basic demonstrations, don''t suppose you''re trained in kickboxing? or better yet, say, judo, krav maga?" It was a tad sarcastic as he spoke to Coco, though he caught himself, it may have been a little late. Coco lifted an eyebrow at him as he spoke. Stepping up with a VERY gratuitous hip sway. "I studied Jatayu since I was a little girl, you... just made all of those words up." She laughed a little bit, but took an experienced stance when he invited her up. Xavier had seen the word, or something similar in his searches. It appeared to be Remnant''s own version of Jiu Jitsu. Xavier''s mood changed rather quickly, cracking a smile as he took his own stance, his guard was high and poised to protect his face more than his body. "not made up, just what we say back home, now don''t hold back, if anything you can try to make me look bad," He was hoping that he had everyone''s attention, if he could be seen as a more fun instructor, or at least a showman, things may go smoother. She came in fast, swinging a left hook and missing, following through and spinning her whole body into a roundhouse cartwheel kick, aiming her right foot at his face. The first blow was dodged with practiced ease as he side stepped only as much as was required to avoid a direct impact, the kick, however, was a good start. It may have been a fraction of a second too late were it not for his own experience in dealing with feints. Xavier deflected with a harsh elbow before he grabbed her heel. "a kick like that is good for finishing a weakened foe, but it''s a flashy move that uses energy, a more experienced opponent could easily counter like so, from there..." He let her go after that. "one could potentially dislocate or break your leg, low kicks are better than high for an opponent with their guard up" "Hmph." Coco stepped back and flipped her hair a bit, she couldn''t help but smile at the demonstration. "Alright." Xavier chuckled a bit. "have anything else to show us? or are you passing the baton?" This time he spoke without a hint of sarcasm or animosity, in fact he seemed a bit hesitant to suggest it, wanting to see a bit more from her. Coco''s smile became sly as she pushed up her glasses. "I''ll pass for now. Fox?" By now, not a soul was asleep, and most were fixated on the action in front of them. Especially the members of Team RWBY. Fox nodded silently, stepping into position on the mat and taking an odd stance... His left arm was kept almost behind his back as he squared up to Xavier, his footwork was solid, his leading foot pointed forward towards the opponent while his back foot was sideways. The two locked eyes and neither wanted to blink first. Xavier would speak first, however. "now, this next bit i want to demonstrate comes from a discipline which primarily focuses on disabling an opponent through locking and dislocating joints, when applied with force it can be lethal, which is why these techniques take practice and control... mr alistair, if you''d please," It seemed he planned on teaching a counter. Fox gave a bit of an annoyed look, lunging forward with one fist down towards his opponent''s stomach, the other arm moving in for his face after a split second, Fox had feigned a punch to surprise Xavier with his elbow. Xavier¡¯s stance didn''t shift at all, but his left hand dived down to catch the first fist, hitting Fox''s wrist to shift the momentum. However the second move was a well executed feint. Xavier was surprised, but adapted, and he caught the elbow in his other hand, managing to halt Fox''s strike mere centimeters from his face. Xavier refused to give up any momentum, quickly shifting sideways a few steps to get behind Fox and pin his arm behind his back. "the greatest piece of footwork to keep in mind is always sidestepping, and if you manage to catch an opponent like this..." He gave a strike that didn''t land, but was obviously aimed at the back of Fox''s elbow. "you can break the arm at the joint with a flat strike, or, alternatively," He moved the hand under his arm and shifted his foot to where stepping anywhere but back would cause Fox to fall. "use your opponent''s momentum to dislocate their shoulder, from here, bringing him to the ground would result in a debilitating direct impact... is everyone following?" "Ngh!" Fox grunted, trying to kick back at Xavier and ending up losing his balance, falling forward... only for Xavier to lunge quickly, catching Fox with one hand on his chest, the other on Fox''s shoulder.Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. "...there we go, so tell me, what did you study before coming here?" Fox hesitated a bit. "Self taught." he stood, gently straightening his clothes a little. Xavier smiled and patted the young man on the shoulder. "you''ve got talent, i hope to expand on that," He scanned the class for a brief moment to gauge the reactions, and they seemed to be fairly positive. In particular, a few were taking notes, Yang was in the edge of her seat while Blake was huddled back in hers. Xavier smiled as he turned to the remaining 3. "next!" And that same smile went to Velvet. "miss- ...scarletina? am i saying that right?" "Ah! u-um... p-pass." She stammered out quickly, Coco nodded a little bit. There were murmurs around the class now, especially from Team CRDL, who were snickering at some inside joke. Velvet was standing tensely and dipping her head. Coco would approach her teammate and place an arm around her shoulders. "Yatsu will go." "..." Xavier paused a moment. "if you''re sure..." He sounded more disappointed than anything, but figured there was a reason. Rather than attempting to force the issue, especially since she had volunteered in the first place, he looked up at the biggest member of the team. "okay, i hope you don''t mind, but this particular demonstration will be a little more one-sided" Yatsuhashi nodded firmly. "I hope that''s not a threat." Xavier shook his head a bit. "i don''t make idle threats mister daichi, and i hope i''m saying that right, judo is the martial art of leverage, created to allow a fighter to take on opponents with a significant physical advantage, please, if you would attack first," Yatsu complied wordlessly, shifting his stance to a wide horse stance, legs even with his shoulders as he bent the knees a bit to get more even with his opponent, and, leaning downward a bit, thrusted his fist forwards and upwards towards Xavier''s chin. It was obvious he was playing along and making this an easy blow to counter. This time, there wasn''t a complex series of movements, no multi-step process, Xavier simply got into a position to get Yatsuhashi''s arm over his shoulder, took a step forward, and with a twist of the body, the bigger man went up, over Xavier''s shoulder, and hit the ground flat on his back with a resounding thud. "...are you alright?" "... Yeah." Yatsuhashi slowly stood up, nodding a bit. Having tried to note how Xavier''s feet moved, assuming that was the secret. But he was very unused to flipping upside down like that, touching his head and shaking it a bit. "to keep it simple, your strength is in your legs, a low stance, and taking your opponent''s feet out from under them are the keys to success, but overthinking and hesitation will injure you more than them, next!" Xavier knew that wasn''t exactly a proper demonstration of the principal he just preached, given that it was essentially a show of raw strength and momentum. However, there weren''t many that saw just how it had been done. Today was more about spectacle and demonstration, and so, Xavier called to the one boy that wasn''t a member of the same team. "you look like the type that will benefit from this especially," Cardin actively rolled his eyes. "Yeah, doubt it." He laughed a little bit, glancing over Xavier''s shoulder at his cheering team, waving at them a bit, and making a big expression, laughing at one of them. "Duuude, you can''t do that!" Xavier''s attention quickly turned, only for Cardin to attempt to sucker punch him. A big right hand aiming straight for Xavier''s chin. He only barely managed to avoid the quick jab, only just catching the movement of the shoulder in the corner of his eye. From there, Xavier grabbed hold of Cardin''s wrist. "cheap trick, ready for mine?" This time around, the move he used was a hold, stepping behind and getting the man into a full nelson. "i''m sure most of you are familiar with some kind of wrestling, while there are several kinds, this is the art of disabling your opponent through breaking bone, though without proper restraint, it''s incredibly easy to, say, wrench a shoulder from its socket" He would apply more pressure, but not enough to actually go through with that threat. He would push upward before raising both knees up and into Cardin''s back, causing the bigger man to drop to his knees. "ooooor cause severe damage to the spine and neck!" "Guh!" Cardin winced, seeing red at this humiliation. He was stronger than anticipated, grabbing Xavier by the head with both hands and lifting him into the air. Xavier managed to cling around Cardin''s shoulders in a very, very strange position to an outsider known as the fireman''s carry, almost wearing the other man like a scarf... Cardin attempted to brute force the situation, pulling Xavier up and grabbing his hips as he leaned over the other way, going into a makeshift piledriver. Xavier, however, had an advantage in mobility if nothing else. He would position his legs in a way to catch himself, wrapping around the bigger man''s torso. The surprise of having his groin so near Cardin''s face caused the larger man to seize up, which gave Xavier the opportunity to grab onto Cardin''s thighs and then make his opponent trip forward while still holding him. With their positions now reversed, Cardin was struggling to break free of Xavier''s grasp as his shoulders were firmly pinned to the sparring mat. "now the full nelson hold, useful for disabling an opponent of similar size, does not give you an advantage of leverage, so while he managed to get a decent reversal, the technique i have just demonstrated is another way to trip up a larger opponent, in this case it''s called a schoolboy, is everyone paying attention?" Cardin struggled to get free this time, raising his hand to tap the ground in surrender, before something hard and heavy randomly struck Xavier in the back of the head, just barely, though... A blue mist appeared around his head, whatever it was, the heavy thud of the object hitting the ground certainly caught his attention. Xavier would let go of Cardin, whose breathing was heavy as he lay on the ground with a shocked expression. Xavier rose to his feet, only to see the object that hit him was the handle end of Cardin''s mace, thrown by Russel Thrush, his lackey, and rotated midair to the non-lethal end by Pyrrha Nikos, who was now standing with her hand obviously outstretched towards the weapon, which dropped to the ground behind Xavier when she lowered her arm. Once Cardin sat back up, the two glared at each other with a deep tension in the air... It took some restraint to not laugh at the whole situation, especially as one could hear a pin drop from the silence that permeated the class. Xavier, however, cleared his throat and suddenly had all eyes on him. "you volunteered for a demonstration, while a leader should look strong, another lesson is to accept your defeat with grace and move on..." He sighed as he stretched, popping his back before casting a harsh glare at the members of Team CRDL. "you, who threw that, you are dismissed and will report to the headmaster for disciplinary action, am i understood?" Russel would hang his head as he left, and Xavier''s attention would turn to Pyrrha. "miss nikos, thank you," "You''re welcome, Professor." She sat down, brushing skirt down a bit as Nora went quietly apeshit over how cool she was. However, as Cardin rose to his feet, he would give a gesture to Russel that made him pause. "...It''s ...My fault teach, I''ll go with him." Xavier briefly considered saying ''no'' as this may have just been an excuse to disappear for a time, but decided to allow it, giving a curt nod as the two would leave the room, Cardin draping an arm over his subordinate''s shoulders. "now, ...i realize these demonstrations have been sporadic, and did not teach overly much to the uninitiated, however, these are merely examples of what you will learn, and i will not tolerate that kind of behavior, ...my goal as an instructor here is not to humiliate or frustrate you all, but to hopefully have every single one of you capable of beating me," He looked to Nora and Ren and added: "without a weapon," The two smiled, with Ren''s being more subtle and smug while Nora positively beamed. It seemed to those in attendance that Xavier was getting ready to wrap up this part of class, and so, with an encouraging look from Coco, the rabbit faunus would step forward. "Um, professor? I''m ready for my turn now, if there''s time." Velvet would manage to say nervously. He seemed surprised, but nodded. "...are you sure? there''s no shame in not wanting to do this," "Yes, I''m ready. Although... I hope it''s okay if I try defense." She took... no stance, standing there like a schoolgirl. "actually- ...okay, sure," He took a moment to focus, and a deep breath as he attempted to manage his strength. Despite the obvious nature of combat demonstrations, he didn''t actually want to hurt Velvet. He made sure that he wouldn''t strike harder or faster than maybe twice what the average human could do. "...this last martial art is a particularly aggressive form of kickboxing where the elbows, knees, and shins are meant to deliver quick and decisive blows, i am going to throw a few basic blows your way, are you ready?" Velvet didn''t move aside from a brief nod of the head, just simply standing there, smiling a bit. "Yes, I''m ready." The entire team gave knowing glances to each other, Coco was smiling BIG. "okay, everyone observe the technique, and how she plans to counter it," He began with a high-guard stance, his fists bent down as his dominant leg was a bit raised. He swiftly attempted a low kick towards the knee, followed by leaning into an elbow strike aimed at the shorter girl''s face. He had planned on stopping short, but that would quickly prove unnecessary as Velvet suddenly spread her legs a bit, returning his kick with one of her own before reaching down and grabbing his heel just as he had done to Coco, lifting his leg up to match where hers was naturally... Her semblance activated to help her. Xavier recognized his own technique and twisted his leg to attempt to escape the hold, his other leg rising for a swiping kick, something she hadn''t seen. Velvet would quickly duck and let Xavier''s heel go, sending him back to the mat. The other members of Team CVFY were holding in their laughter as best as they could at the entire display as Xavier attempted to get back to his feet. He was... Smiling. "...very impressive, i can tell you''ll be one of my more advanced students," He turned to the others. "as you can see, a low kick when extended has the same weakness as the roundhouse, an opponent who can see it coming can catch you completely off guard, well done," "Scared, Professor?" Coco egged him on a little, causing Velvet to blush. "C-coco, please..!" He laughed a bit. "not yet, but when we get later into the year i''ll probably be shaking," He looked around at the general reactions of the students. Once again, they were a captive audience . Some seemed more amused than anything while others were scared. The remaining members of Team CRDL especially. The mood, however,.was very positive all around as many were quietly cheering the two on before Xavier spoke again. "...something to keep in mind is the hardest points of your body are best used against soft targets, joints, the sternum, the neck, and the face, if you can''t see, breathe, or move, you can''t fight," He demonstrated each point as he spoke, pointing to or touching the various parts of his body before he turned back to Coco. "and have i earned the professor distinction in your eyes, miss adel?" "Naturally." She smiled a bit, Velvet quickly moving back behind her. Xavier would turn to address the class, before checking his glasses to see that time was running out. Things certainly flew by from how fun this was. "if you''ve been taking notes, don''t worry about that, soon enough you''ll all be able to do the moves you''re taught without thinking, especially when we can take this outside for team sparring practice, but that isn''t today, today was an effective showcase, does everyone feel like they''ve learned something?" The remaining two members of Cardin''s team were the first hands in the air. But other than that, everyone would one by one raise a hand. "fantastic!" And that was the bell. "everyone is dismissed, try to wake up a bit more next time folks and i''ll see you all tomorrow," There was plenty of chatter that filled the class from there, excited students seeming to have shaken off the fatigue and discussing what may happen from here. Velvet would be the last one to leave, managing to give a nervous goodbye. "Th-thank you, professor!" She bowed firmly, smiling bright at him before running off, away from the direction the rest of her team went. This was a feeling of satisfaction that Xavier wasn''t familiar with, but it was a welcome one for sure. Chapter 2: The Library Chapter 2 As the day progressed, Xavier still found himself busy, busy remembering techniques he hadn''t practiced in decades and getting a bit of a workout in the process, dummies would be a large part of the curriculum budget it seemed, but one thing at a time. For the moment, it seemed his class was going smoothly as the next group of students came in, and after four classes total introducing the basics of martial arts primarily to the uninitiated, the school day would come to a close. Once the final bell had rung, after classes were over for the day he would make his way outside for a smoke. It wouldn''t take him long to hear a few small shouts, noises of exertion coming from the training yard. Xavier would make his way over to see Pyrrha, undoubtedly inspired to practice her own techniques as she went to town on one of the sparring dummies. Once she noticed she was being observed, however, she paused and turned to Xavier, smiling as she saw him. "Hello, Professor." She bowed a little bit. "miss nikos," Xavier gave a slight bow of the head as he took a drag. "...as a more seasoned martial artist, could i get your honest opinion of how that went?" "Well, I don''t know if I would say that..." Despite the results of their single training bout, she realized she had much to learn from someone who may have viewed her as an equal. "But I think it went well, despite the disruption." She smiled gently, staying standing a bit upwind of him, gently holding her hand over her nose. Xavier seemed to notice and sheepishly turned to the side to attempt to keep the smoke away as he spoke. "hmm," He turned his head to exhale away from her. "i appreciate your opinion, i was worried about how to even start things since basics and katas are about as exciting as watching paint dry..." He took a moment to contemplate before crushing out his cigarette. "sorry, it''s a bad habit, so best not pick it up," Admittedly it was something he had attempted to quit numerous times, but addiction is a powerful thing. Pyrrha awkwardly nodded. "That''s alright. I know a lot of people who smoke. Though... The cold air back in Atlas carried it better." "heh, ...funny thing is, back home, cigarettes were part of the culture for a very long time, then people figured out they were terrible for you," He sighed and shook his head a bit, wondering if that sounded a little too strange. "...so do you often come here to train alone?" Best to change the topic before her own questions could dig into that. Pyrrha hesitated before answering. "Well... Yes." She nodded a little, blushing slightly. "If I''m being honest... I don''t have much else to do besides Studying and Training." That seemed to carry some weight, her voice was tense as she spoke, as if she wanted to make a complaint of that but stopped just short. Something that he picked up on. "need to get yourself a hobby then... or maybe someone you can train with?" He mused to himself more than anything, she was a warrior and a damn good one, but only being a warrior isn''t healthy, something he knew from experience. "Oh, well, actually-" "Hey there, Xavier! Hi Pyrrha!" Came the familiar voice of one Yang Xiao-Long. She smiled brightly, coming over and standing beside Xavier with her arms folded behind her back, looking up at Pyrrha. "Oh! H-hello Yang?" Pyrrha tucked some hair behind her ear, canceling her train of thought, and adding some awkward embarrassment to her voice as a result. Xavier gave a small nod and couldn''t help but crack a smile. "hey there yang, i was wondering how long it''d take you to show up," He half-joked before turning his attention back to Pyrrha. "...well hey, if you ever want some critique, or a sparring partner, let me know," He figured that with Yang around, his attention would be called away soon. Yang''s eyes seemed to light up at the idea that Xavier had proposed, however. "Ooooh, you''re looking for a sparring partner? I''m game!" She stood up, giving a few fake punches towards Pyrrha before dropping the act and laughing to herself, Xavier seemed to find it pretty amusing as he stifled a chuckle. Pyrrha on the other hand... "Uh, w-well, actually... Um..." She blushed a bit as she turned away, her eyes looking towards Xavier with a bit of a pleading expression. He nodded and placed a hand on Yang''s shoulder. "for another time, ...but yang, next time i give a demonstration i''m calling on you, after what that one asshat tried to pull" "Hehehe! Totally!" She smiled brightly. "After all, who could pass up the chance to show off a bit~" That was certainly more flirtatious and more public than he was used to. But after a summer break, it was understandable. Xavier supposed that was a hint and seemed to blush a bit himself. The moment, however, was thrown off as another familiar voice came from behind him. "You... look like you''re having fun." The sound of Blake''s voice made Xavier and Pyrrha jump a bit, they both only just seemed to notice Blake. She had come up entirely silently until she decided to speak, and neither had really seen one another in over a month, let alone had the time to talk... When Xavier saw her, however, alot of his tension seemed to disappear. It had been some time since they spoke, and the awkwardness seemed to have faded somewhat. He addressed her earnestly with a short nod. "good to see you blake, what''s up?" She stepped over, standing a bit awkwardly beside Yang. She seemed... Tired. "Nothing specific, I suppose..." There was a tension that now hung in the air as everyone went quiet. Pyrrha, however, was the first to break. "W-well... It was nice seeing you, Professor." Pyrrha quickly bowed and bowed out, excusing herself before things got any more awkward or tense. After an awkward moment''s silence, Xavier would be the one to speak next. "...i was uh, gonna head over to the library, want to join?" He asked Blake, where would be better, after all, to have a conversation in peace without the awkwardness of the bedroom... She glanced over at Yang, blushing slightly. "Are you sure..?" "Yeahh!" She put and arm around Blake. "C''mon, you''re overthinking things, it''ll just be fun." "um..." He wondered what Yang was doing, and, if/how to break it to her what he was after. However, it seemed she had her own idea and being the resident extrovert gave Yang a serious advantage in social leverage. The trio made their way to the Library, Blake trying to relax a bit as she could tell Yang was trying to relieve the tension... But she clearly wasn''t all the way there yet. Once they arrived, Xavier spent a moment looking for a particular book, without his actual glasses, he realized just how sorely he took the translation software for granted, but soon enough he did find it... a comprehensive history of the last century, the most eventful time in Remnant it seemed. How odd. Once he sat down, Xavier noticed an obvious tension in the air, and so decided to break the ice... "well, my first teaching gig didn''t go terribly i hope," "It was good." Blake nodded a little bit, having sat down opposite of where Xavier had decided to park himself, Yang, however, took a more direct approach and sat down next to Xavier. A cute girl on both sides of the man. "and here i thought you slept through it," He teased Blake a little, hoping to be casual. "...no lie, i picked the library to get away from craziness, i uh... it''s been awhile since any of us really got to talk, and i get the feeling the awkward emotional rollercoaster hasn''t exactly come to a stop" He hoped that was a thing here, or he''d have no frame of reference. "Sorry about that, my fault I''m sure." Yang laughed a little bit, definitely getting the metaphor. Blake sighed a little and looked away. "no one person''s fault but mine," Xavier immediately blurted out, catching them all off guard. His cheeks lit up red and he cleared his throat, considering his words carefully. "...but ...with the break, i''ve had alot of time to think, about how things have been going, about... what i''ve done since coming here, and i think i''ve got an answer," Both girls fell dead quiet, staring at each other with a blush before looking at him... He couldn''t mean what they thought he meant right? They hadn''t seen one another in weeks and he wasn''t about to just... "...i know i haven''t told either of you much that''s actually useful about my past, hell we could all say we don''t know that much about one another, but i''m used to leaving things behind when the going gets tough... i''ve decided i''m going to stay, i like this job better than any one i''ve had, so i want to stay... with... with you" He would look between the two girls as he spoke, having not made a choice it seemed. However, this was more personal to him than to them, but since the two members of team rwby were indeed the best friends he had, it was immensely satisfying. "I..." Blake slowly let the tension that had frozen her in place for a moment melt away as she let go of the breath she had been holding, and gulped a bit, ready to actually speak. "I understand... I know how it feels and, I-I''m tired of running away too." She was firm in her statement, possessing a conviction that he hadn''t seen from her yet. Albeit for a different reason, one that she hadn''t told them yet.The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. "Um... Yeah, I get it." Yang reached over, rubbing Xavier''s back. "I can''t really relate but... As long as you don''t plan on going anywhere, I''m happy with that." There was a warmth that Xavier felt when Yang smiled at him. He blushed lightly and awkwardly chuckled. "So..." Blake cleared her throat a bit, her brows furrowed slightly. "Ruby talked to me a little the other day..." She trailed off with a blush. It seemed the leader of team RWBY was ahead of everyone else when it came to the tension between the three. "Yeah, me too." Yang awkwardly laughed a little bit. "I guess our uh... Little quadrangle has her worried." Xavier paused for a moment before breaking the silence. "i''m... not surprised there''s worry..." Hell he was worried now. Blake shifted uncomfortably in her seat, her ears flattening against her head. "It''s um... It''s mostly my own fault, so I''m really sorry to both of you for that." She bowed a little bit, not lifting her head again. Xavier shook his head before standing up, raising his hands a bit. "look, if we''re going to assign any blame, it''s more my fault than anything i think, i know... just how badly i''ve fucked up dealing with everything, if it wasn''t for me-" "N-no!" Blake cut him off, raising her head as she clenched her fists. "No. It''s more my fault than anyone''s, look." She pulled out her notebook, starting to draw up a series of circles... And putting names in them... Xavier immediately recognized what was happening, a shiver of almost PTSD went through him remembering one particularly painful memory from the Dream Bubbles. However, Yang would grasp her hand away. "Oh, Cut it out, Blake!" She snapped as she stood up, frowning a bit. "Y-you can''t deny that if I just..!" Yang cut her off again by raising her hand in a gesture of silence, making Blake flinch. "Bullshit. You and I both know that if it was that simple you would''ve just picked him already!" She pointed at Sun''s name on the chart and sighed, trying to keep her voice down, her eyes having turned red. "I... I don''t want you to beat yourself up over this, Blake. It''s not that big of a deal in the end, you know? It''s complicated, and..." She glanced over at Xavier, petting his head since he was the only one still sitting down. "A-and I don''t want you to make the wrong choice just because you think it''s convenient for others. If you think I''m scared because of a little romantic rivalry, or even that it''s gonna get in the way of our friendship, then you just don''t know me that well at all!" She smiled brightly. "If we''re gonna do this... I want to win fair and square, so you better make sure you focus on what you really want." Blake... dashed forward, pulling Yang into a big hug... which the blonde reciprocated. Xavier was... shocked, and didn''t know what to do, now feeling more guilt than ever. He would stand up, and collect his book, wanting to just let the two friends enjoy each other''s embrace for the moment. He glanced over at the chart before back at them, and only barely dared to open his mouth. "...i-" "You shut up too, dude!" She laughed, opening an arm and roping him into their hug! "We''re all gonna be FINE, everybody CHILL." She gently scratched behind Blake''s ears, causing her knees to buckle as she quickly placed a hand over her mouth to stifle the involuntary moan... Blake''s cheeks were dark red, their hug breaking as everyone stepped back. Xavier couldn''t help but laugh, his mood returning, he held her hand... And Yangs, and smiled at both of them. "i''m not gonna lie, i''ve never been good at it, ...i''m just, happy that i didn''t ruin things," He neglected to add ''for once'' in an attempt to humor Yang''s positive vibe, though his head was spinning a bit at Yang''s... Well, confession. He hadn''t considered their relationship to be anywhere near that level yet, but... Wasn''t... opposed to it in any regard. "Well, you haven''t ruined things completely at least..." Ren poked his head out from a nearby shelf which he was returning books to from a cart. "I am going to have to ask you three to leave, though. People are studying." "R-right, sorry." Yang nodded a bit, kissing Xavier on the cheek and still holding his hand, while Blake nodded, let go, and scurried off. "...sorry, poor choice of locale affects us all," Which was a bit of a jab at himself, but still, he started to walk off with Yang still in tow. The two walked in silence until they found themselves in the courtyard once again. "Ah... I was hoping she''d stay with us..." Yang sighed. "I think part of this whole thing has been like... She doesn''t really know what we''ve been up to when we''re hanging out." She tenderly traced a thumb over Xavier''s knuckles as her gaze lowered. He blushed darkly as he traced his free hand over the cheek she kissed. His eyes went to the ground for a moment, while Yang was absolutely beautiful he hadn''t thought of her in quite that way before... Today was somewhat of a revelation, though, maybe she was more comfortable escalating things with friends than he ever was. "not much to know, mostly crappy movies and innocent back and forth..." "Yeah, as opposed to guilty back and forth." She smiled big, making a lewd humping gesture with her free arm, stopping walking to do it, it was a whole thing. She certainly knew how to make him laugh. "n-no stop! ...jeez i''m in enough trouble as is, don''t need more ideas-" He froze for a moment when he released the particular turn of phrase, but while Yang''s laughter helped him calm down, she didn''t stop his mind from wandering. "...no, no, not gonna bring doom and gloom here now, let''s chill for today," "Hey," She stopped and moved to grasp his other hand, the two now stood just inches apart, looking right into one another''s eyes. "I don''t wanna be the girl you can''t talk to..." She smiled a bit, before putting an arm around his shoulders. "Let''s talk if you wanna talk." "i know, but not this, not today..." He smiled and squeezed her hand a bit. He saw in that brief moment that she was willing to try to make this work. In the back of his mind he considered his position with Blake, and felt a pang of guilt, like he had been chasing her... He wasn''t ready to give up, but maybe trying something new couldn''t hurt? Though if this has a chance of working, there was something he remembered they could try. "this weekend, um, let''s go and do the club thing," That made her blush a bit. "Really? Hell yeah, alright!" She bounced a little, talking to him about some prior experiences as they made their way to the mess hall for dinner, before long, however, he felt a vibration in his pocket. A little less than a week ago, Ozpin had provided Xavier with a Scroll, Remnant''s version of a smartphone, for necessary communication. Xavier pulled it out of his pocket only to see a strange, unknown number... Though he immediately recognized the font and tone of this text. SN y0u have decided t0 stay... acceptable f0r n0w... y0u kn0w h0w t0 reach me when y0u need an escape -GT Yang briefly looked over Xavier''s shoulder before offering to give her own scroll number. The two would walk and talk as they got their food, and would sit together as they ate, but wouldn''t have much time to themselves... "Hey there, teach." Qrow flopped down in the seat next to Xavier, across from Yang... Definitely not as comfy a presence as Blake, but... Well, there was no but. The smell of alcohol made Xavier wince a bit as he put on his best fake smile, gently setting his scroll down on the table "qrow... what brings you over to my side of things?" Qrow raised a brow at the presumptuousness of that question, but the answer clicked in his head immediately, he was Ruby''s uncle, which meant... "Oh, YOU know..." He eyed Yang, who blushed dark... "Just making sure you crazy kids aren''t getting into too much trouble." Xavier gave an awkward laugh, trying to not seem guilty. "no kind of trouble that would get anyone more than a talking to ...need a drink?" "Yyyyyup. Whether or not I can get one is another story..." He chuckled to himself. "O-okay uncle Qrow, that''s enough." She leaned over Xavier to push the older man away, inadvertently pushing her chest a bit too close to Xavier''s face. Aaaand he turned to Yang right as she moved, getting a direct face-full of her chest and giving a harsh blush in return. Quite frankly, he was almost too embarrassed to move. Qrow saw that... Laughing as he stood up. "Right, right... Get a room, you two." He headed back out of the mess hall, having had enough fun. "maybe..." He mused practically under his breath as he slid back a bit, his face beet red and his head left spinning just a bit. ...wait did Qrow hear that? No, but Yang sure did! She was smiling, holding back a cackle as she blushed. "D-dude you totally just put your face right in my tits!" "you put your tits in my face! i... just... looked at the movement over my shoulder, it¡¯s a reflex thing" He deflected a bit, but gave her a sly smirk. She stuck her tongue out at him before glancing away nonchalantly. "Wellll... You''re welcome back any time~" She winked before standing up and headed to the exit, leaving her tray. Xavier was left for a few moments with his thoughts. Chapter 3: Exhibition Chapter 3 As the week progressed, the structure of Xavier''s classes began to get more cohesive. While the demonstration area left room to be desired for some, he would primarily leave demonstrations to more advanced students that either already knew or would adapt quickly to the techniques that he attempted to impart. However, technique training was hardly the only piece of the puzzle. Much of the class would become katas while he attempted to evaluate which direction may have been best for an individual student, be it a single discipline that they took to (or was simply easier to teach), or the basics of mixed martial arts. When Friday came around, however, there was a surprise he had been saving. The usual morning crowd would gather in the hallway, but as they did,, they would find their teacher outside a closed classroom. Xavier waited for some of the usual stragglers to arrive before, with a wide grin, making an announcement. "alright everyone, i know some of you are dead on your feet but i''ve got a cure for that today... we''re hosting class out in the courtyard, today isn''t a day for demonstrations, we''re going to officially start sparring practice" Reactions were heavily mixed about this announcement, ranging from excitement to sheer fatigue to reluctant acceptance and so on. "I''ve been waiting for this!" "Oh man..." "A-alright then." "I''m dead..." Once everyone was outside, they were paired off with partners from different teams to practice techniques, each team, however, would have one member selected as an advanced student. Sort of a co-instructor to help their teams focus on what was necessary. Some were obvious, Coco, Yang, Pyrrha, others not as much. Advanced students were paired with the least experienced to begin training them in ways that Xavier had assigned, the morning class was the one he was most familiar with on a personal level, and as such they had an advantage in that he could adjust the curriculum to suit the individual student as needed. As things started, everyone would perform some basic exercises, stances and katas before sparring actually began. Many took the opportunity to speak to their partner about what exactly they wanted to train in, something Xavier encouraged where he saw it, but today was more about getting a read on everyone''s individual abilities than anything... Results quickly began to vary from useful to straight-up comical. As Xavier began to tour the student body, he took note of who needed further instruction. He showered praise on the efforts of some, while attempting not to single them out but... "...mr arc, no using your aura here, your technique needs to be refined a bit before that," "I don''t think it''d make a difference even if I knew how! HRAH!" He slammed his body against Velvet as if he was trying to break down a door more than attack anyone. And she flawlessly countered every single time, before finally getting her arm under his and putting Jaune on his back with a textbook over the shoulder throw. "..." He stopped and observed this for a moment before giving Velvet a nod. "ms scarletina, you can take a short break, jaune?" He looked at him with a small smile. "...let''s see if i can''t help you out a bit here," Jaune was panting, laying in the grass. "Oh... p-perfect..." Xavier finally let himself laugh a bit and offered his hand. "you''re worn out already, you don''t train much do you?" "Well uhh... I-I tend to train everything like uh... All at once, when I do so... No." He took his hand and stood up, wiping off his brow. Xavier shook his head a bit. "not the best way to do it, when you train your body, focus on different parts over different days... now," He takes up a boxing stance. "i want you to come at me, try to think of why your strategy hasn''t worked so far" "Yeah, I remember hearing something like that once..." He rolled his eyes a bit, Pyrrha telling him the same thing last night. He put up his dukes and sort of... Started running with no plan, and no stance, before again lowering his body and putting the force all on his right shoulder, trying to knock him to the ground. He grabbed Jaune''s shoulder almost immediately, side-stepping and nearly putting Jaune flat on his face before catching him by the hood, and pulling him back to his feet. "you¡¯re going to need some work... we¡¯ll have to start from scratch if you think charging in with a shoulder tackle is a good way to fight an aware opponent" He practically grimaced that someone could even be so unprepared. "Y-yeah well... I¡¯m more of a sword and shield guy, not really here to... Punch things?¡± He awkwardly tried to excuse himself there. "it''s time to learn though, throwing your weight forward won''t do much, charging like that will just end up with you on your ass... now," He took up a low guard stance. "do as i do" "Well, uh... you know. If I do that someone else will come in for the kill and all that, right?" He took the stance anyway, improperly. "in live combat yes," He chuckled a bit and demonstrated a quick combination. 2 jabs and a lunging hook. "...two swift jabs, and a hook, now you," Pyrrha stepped over with a bit of a blush, waving at Jaune. "Professor, D-do you mind if I step in?" He looked over at her and nodded. "i don''t mind at all, your other partner seems to be doing well... i think today his focus should be on shadowboxing," That was, to say, rehearsing a basic set of punches until they became ingrained in muscle memory. "everyone needs to start with the basics¡± "Of course." She nodded a little bit, Jaune seemed relieved to have her come to his rescue. As she had no problems getting up close and physically adjusting his improper stance... He observed for a moment before giving her a knowing smile, and moving onto... "ruby," He hadn''t set her up with Yang to train, and for a reason. He had a good idea about what she should learn in particular, and as such, put her against someone that could make that work. "how are you coming along?" "Hrmpmrhp." She was face down in the dirt, pushing off the ground to pull herself out of a face-shaped indent... "S-sorry..." The much larger Yatsuhashi rubbed the back of his neck as he was torn between helping Ruby up or letting her do this herself. Xavier blinked in surprise for a second before taking a deep breath. "okay ruby, pick yourself up there and i''ll show you how to get around what just happened..." He smiled at Yatsuhashi. "your restraint is noted and appreciated," "I don''t know If I can take being thrown again..." He laughed a little bit, backing away from Xavier. "i won''t actually throw you, just show her how," That... didn''t make it seem better. "don''t worry i''ll have dummies soon for throwing practice i just haven''t had time to make them," Nor any discussion with Glynda on buying them, admittedly. An oversight for sure, but one he had always forgotten when he actually got the opportunity. Yatsuhashi sighed a bit, rubbing his shaved head. "Alright... But next time you''re showing me how to get out of that." He lined up, moving to an angle so Ruby could see. If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. "i''ll show you this time too, but there won''t be any follow-through to this demonstration," Once Ruby was back on her feet, he explained briefly about motion and leverage before showing what she should do, get your opponent''s arm under yours, shift your feet to unbalance them, and twist. "...this is a very basic but effective throw, ...the way to get out of it is, once your arm is grabbed, plant your feet, grab your opponent''s right arm and push forward" He was giving him the opportunity for some revenge it seemed. One that Yatsuhashi didn''t take him up on, though seemed grateful for. "Oooooh, that''s how you do it!" Ruby''s disposition shifted quite a bit from that, however... "So... How do you get strong enough to lift someone that big though?" She smiled innocently, still completely lost. "it''s not about strength, it''s all about momentum," He paused for a brief moment and nodded to Yatsuhashi, who took the sign to take a break. "ruby, truth be told i think judo is the best art for you to learn, you''ll probably specialize in how to throw bigger opponents but for now..." He would move a few steps away and place his knife on the ground. "oh, if anyone wants to, you can try to pick that up without aura for extra credit, but anyway..." He smiled at Ruby. "i want you to try and use what i just showed you on me" Cardin bent over to attempt just that... It was heavier than he anticipated, but when he got a better grip he picked it up just a little before dropping and... embedding it in the dirt on accident. That caught the attention of a few other students, but even as tired as she was, Blake couldn''t help but smile at the open challenge as she remembered the first night at Beacon. "Um... O-okay. Let''s do this!" Ruby laughed nervously. Xavier nodded and took a boxing stance with his left arm out for once, figuring that not going southpaw would help for demonstration purposes. "remember, turn, grab, slide, twist" Gods above he hoped no one made a saucy joke out of that. Ruby would get into position with her guard up, and the punch that Xavier threw towards her face was perfectly angled and slow enough to let Ruby do what she needed to... "AH!" She immediately caught his arm. "TRUNGRABSLDIETWIST!" She used her semblance to lunge into place before he was close enough, doing exactly as he said with wayyyy too much speed and force, launching his ass into the air. Xavier made a noise somewhere between excitement and terror as he was forcibly launched a few dozen meters upwards and then... He landed, hard. Making a bigger impact crater than Cardin would have from dropping the knife above his head. That probably got everyone''s attention. Most of them were astonished... But then wound up crowding around Ruby and cheering! She was lifted up onto the shoulders of a few as chants of her name came from all around. A few of the more mature students, however, came to make sure he was alright, Namely Velvet. "A-are you okay, professor..?" Xavier slowly sat up from his small crater as best he could, there being a considerable pain racking his entire body. He uncaptchalogued a bottle of Faygo, labeled as "Squiddlescently Rainbow Influx Revival Flavor". The bottle itself was fairly basic, however, the liquid inside was rapidly changing colors, and upon opening it, it settled on red. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose before taking a drink and... Hopping right back up, panting heavily. "ah fuckfuckfuckfuck, hothothothot!" "Ah! S-sir?" Velvet quickly hopped down into the crater herself, despite Coco trying to grab her before she could. Velvet made her way over to Xavier, trying to console him or take the soda from him or... anything helpful, really! After a moment of heavy breathing and blowing on his tongue, he calmed down enough to speak again. "sorry! sorry i''m fine... man, that may have broke a few bones if.. nevermind," He turned to Velvet and smiled as he added the strange drink back to his inventory. "miss scarletina, i appreciate your concern, are you alright?" Helluva thing to ask at the moment. "Huh?" She blushed just a little, laughing. "I-I''m fine! I''m worried about you, sir!" Xavier shrugged it off as he looked back up for a moment. The crowd had died down and students were simply chatting and waiting once more. Xavier gave a sly smile. "i''ve had worse, any day you don''t get stabbed in the chest is a good one," He fought an instinct to pat her on the head, that may have gone just as bad as it would with Blake. Nevertheless... "we should get back to the others, want to see something funny?" "Um... Sure?" She smiled nervously, waiting to see what he''d do. Xavier slowly rose from the crater, floating upwards with a grim expression on his face before taking a few steps forward, seemingly walking on air. His tone was deep (for him) as he spoke. "ruby." The entire crowd absolutely SCATTERED. Most of them fleeing all the way inside the school and away from class, the rest lining up by the wall as far from him as they could get... Ruby''s face turned pale white as she turned... Her team the only ones to stand by her. Weiss gave Xavier a harsh glare, and undoubtedly had just as harsh words. Blake seemed uneasy when he made that face, biting her lip and keeping her hands behind her back. Yang meanwhile raised a brow and folded her arms over her chest, unsure of what to expect. Ruby stepped forward and lowered her head. "I-I-I''m sorry!" He leaned in close once he got within a few steps of her, to eye level once Ruby raised her head a bit, and... Smiled. "don''t be" He almost immediately laughed once he saw her expression of terror and surprise. He wasn''t the only one, as Yang busted out laughing. Blake sighed with relief and visibly relaxed. Xavier continued. "that was frickin creative, your technique was good too! but next time, don''t use your semblance okay? that kind of defeats the purpose of the training," "Um... Does it?" By now, Coco had helped Velvet out of the crater and the rest of team CVFY stood close by, all looking at Xavier with various stages of confusion, though Velvet seemed especially offput. She blushed a bit more... Obviously she was using nothing but her semblance since class began a few weeks ago. Xavier, however, didn''t seem to realize that exactly. Upon her questioning, he nods. "outside of class, feel free to experiment, however right here? i want to make sure you can use these moves properly with no special outliers, you''ve got to know what you''re doing without your tools before you can incorporate them, does that make sense?" It was how he was taught, the body was the first weapon to master before anything else could be used. However, Velvet seemed hesitant to accept that answer. "I suppose so... But a semblance is a tool you''re never without, right? So it shouldn''t matter too much..." She smiled a little bit. "I don''t think it''d be too bad to practice with them, especially considering most people''s wouldn''t apply anyway." She clapped her hands together. "Take our team! I''m the only one whose semblance would have any use in hand to hand combat, but the others would be placed at a disadvantage when unarmed, meaning that it would be even more important for them to train with it than others, while those whose semblances are still in effect would have to train less, or even train to use their semblance in conjunction with hand to hand! Likewise those whose semblances aren''t effective without their weapons would definitely need to practice being in such an asymmetrical scenario in which they''re at a clear disadvantage, and furthermore..." She blushed dark, noticing the entirety of team RWBY staring at her with their mouths gaping open... her ears drooped and she looked away. "Or something like that..." He also needed to pick his jaw up off the floor throughout that explanation. "...you know, i honestly hadn''t thought of that," His outside perspective aside, he had to consider just how commonly his own abilities were used in combat just as often as the foundations of his original training, perhaps he wasn''t entirely wrong per-se, but... "...a semblance is unique to the user so, ...well standardized education was always a bad idea," He shrugs. "i''ll give you that miss scarletina, you''re on your way to an a+ with that kind of effort" Velvet''s ears perked right back up as she gave a harsh blush. "U-uhm... th-thank you, um, s-sir... Um... B-bye!" And she dashed off, the rest of her team in moderate pursuit and waving their goodbyes. Coco was even laughing at the whole situation, saying something to the boys that Xavier couldn''t quite make out. He instead turned to team RWBY. "we''ll call that time for today, ...but try not to give me that kind of distance next time ruby?" He paused for a moment before adding. "or... anyone else for that matter" "um... R-right!¡± She nodded before commanding the rest of her team to move out, and so they quickly scurried off, Blake giving Xavier a small smile as she left. And now, he was all alone, Save for Yang... "Preeeetty fun class today, Teach!" She remarked while stretching before placing her hands behind her head in a laid back manner. Her bright smile showed that she very much enjoyed herself today. Xavier chuckled a bit as he searched for a cigarette. "thanks, i think i''ll make this weekly, give the class something to look forward to on fridays..." Yang nodded. "Yeah. Shame I can''t get a ship downtown tonight, huh?" She swayed her hips a bit as she stood. With the placement of her hands, it showed off quite a bit. "We''ve got a date with the dance clubs, riiight~?" Xavier nodded, blushing a bit as he turned his head from the display. "we do, but that''s tomorrow..." He chuckled a bit, though, in the back of his mind there was still something that told him he had unfinished business... "tell you what, i''ll cut you a deal," Yang gave him a curious glance before deciding to find out.. "Yeah? What''s that?" She smiled a bit, crossing her arms under her chest and giving him a side eye. "i''m gonna take the night to sort some stuff out, could use a little less confusion, ...but if i can get that, i''m yours all tomorrow, how''s that sound?" "ehhh..." She sighed, deflating a little. "Kinda sounds like you don''t want me around confusing you..." Xavier raised a brow, not thinking she would put it so bluntly. He gave a short sigh and shrugged. "...i''d like to be sure, or hell, even know when i''ll be sure," She nodded. "Alright... But that means if you don''t cancel on me tomorrow, I''ll know you''re sure." She smiled brightly. "Which means I am not gonna hold back!" "if i tried to cancel on you i''d get my ass kicked," He laughed a bit. "...even if not, i don''t break a promise," He smiled and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Now they were even. "...get to class, miss xiao long" "Yes, Siiirr~" She blushed a little, sticking her tongue out as she walked away, swaying her hips and hoping he was staring as she left... He almost couldn''t help himself... but whenever he was with her, he always wondered what she saw in him, ...and what their kids would look like but that was neither here nor there. Chapter 4: Long Night Out Part 1 Chapter 4 Class had been dismissed, and Friday night was descending upon Beacon Academy once again. Many excited students have wandered the halls, preparing for a night out or else looking for something a little more fun. Xavier, on the other hand, had gotten into a routine over time and as he lit up a cigarette in his usual spot by the front gates to the school, a few passing students would wave or say their hellos. People knew where he would be after class most days, and most days that was hardly an issue. Today, however, it seemed there was someone with a weight on their mind that would seek him out... "Umm... Hey professor." Came the nervous voice of Jaune Arc, who would proceed to sit beside Xavier, and almost immediately would stare at the ground in silence. There was a moment between stiff drags when Xavier decided to break the silence. "what can i do for you, jaune?" The question was answered with a nervous laugh before Jaune awkwardly rubbed the back of his own neck. He would swallow hard before looking towards Xavier finally. "Sooo... Plan on asking anyone out to the dance next month?" Xavier thought about it for a moment. There was some big festival being held in Vale this year and the school was having a dance as a part of it. In truth, he had never attended a dance before, though the obvious answer was the first one that came to mind. "i''m a teacher, jaune... so... maybe? i mean, maybe if i wouldn''t lose my job over it," He shrugged... wait why was he interested in that? "Great!" Jaune piped up immediately, seeming to only home in on the part he was looking for. "So like... What''s the plan? Like uh... Method of attack, right?" And, there it is. "..." Xavier looked over at him with a raised brow and a sly smile, he almost laughed, but decided against it to not kill any shred of confidence he had left. "oh i see... so, who is she?" "Uhhhhhh..." He blushed, looking down at the ground. His answer only came above a whisper as he seemed intensely embarrassed. "It''s um... W-Weiss. Schnee. Weiss Schnee. Y-yeah..." That... was certainly a surprise. "...really? huh," He hadn''t ever really talked to her but... There was something off there. For one thing, even from what little he knew of Weiss, she was beyond out of his league. Maybe talking him down would be best, but just to make sure... "...well jaune, any plan of attack is something to be carefully considered, the direct approach is often best, just to come out and ask" "Uh huh... And if that didn''t work?" Jaune gave a shy but sincere smile as if trying to coax Xavier. Xavier simply shook his head a bit. He was a bit surprised that Jaune already tried, but then again... "let''s start with how you asked..." Jaune paused momentarily before managing to find the words, an attempted invitation while beginning to serenade Weiss had been answered with a door being firmly slammed in his face. In truth, Xavier had to stop himself from laughing as he placed his hand over his mouth in an attempt to mask his amusement as a concerned expression. Fortunately it seemed to work. "...well, i''m not sure how better to try it, but... do me a favor and grab that guitar of yours, bring it out here," Jaune blinked in surprise. "...Why exactly?" Xavier gave a slow, mischievous smile. "because i''m gonna teach you something," "...Something to pick up girls?" Jaune asked hesitantly. Xavier shrugged. "depends on the type of girl, but it''s better to have some chance than no chance, right?" Jaune seemed to consider it for a moment before getting up and leaving in silence. Xavier decided to wait for the length of another cigarette before leaving, to make sure the kid had the time to actually make it to his dorm and back if he was serious. Fortunately, he seemed to be. Just as Xavier was getting ready to crush out his smoke, Jaune reappeared, guitar in hand. "S-sorry professor, I had to keep my head down around Cardin and his team." Xavier nodded. "yeah... trust me when i say i want to make sure you can stand up to them, with or without a weapon," Jaune gave a small, dry chuckle as he sat the instrument on his lap and began to tune it. "I''m... working on the ''with'' part of that. But... I would appreciate more lessons for the ''without''..." Xavier listened as the guitar was tuned, a few notes played, soon turning into chords as Jaune adjusted the strings, after a few moments, Xavier placed his hand on the neck of the guitar and pulled it over, admittedly without much resistance from Jaune. The blond seemed more nervous than anything, but Xavier soon put those worries to rest as he finished tuning the instrument while playing a few practice chords of his own, far different from Jaune''s warmup scale. "it''s... been awhile since i really played, but there''s one song in particular that''s easy to learn and you should never forget..." After taking a deep breath, and being handed a pick by Jaune, he began to strum. Jaune watched and listened intently, the melody was deceptively simple, his fingers moving only for a bit at a time as he changed between two main melodies. After a few minutes demonstrating, Xavier would return the instrument to its owner, who smiled. "Yeah... I think I can handle that." Xavier nodded. "okay, then listen closely, i''ll teach you the words that go with it, but there''s a catch," Jaune sighed. "Of course there is..." Xavier laughed a bit. "oh don''t be like that, it''s simple," Jaune seemed to look back to Xavier with curiosity. "you just have to start the song with these words: anyway, here''s wonderwall" It was a little over an hour before Jaune said his goodbyes and walked away with a smile, having gotten the basics down fairly quickly to where he could practice on his own. Xavier felt content with this lesson, after all, no one in Remnant would get the joke. But he had to admit to himself that Jaune had talent, maybe he could find his own guitar and help him practice more... However, as the sun had nearly set, a thought occurred. His mind lingered on the promise he had made to Yang, and so he felt himself reaching for his scroll... Just as it buzzed, someone had messaged him. It''s Blake. I''m going out tonight. Do you want to do something tomorrow? Xavier was taken a bit aback... Why would she message him if she wasn''t available tonight? Also, where did she get his number? He thought about it for a moment, though the latter question was obvious as Yang most likely gave it to her. Soon he gave his own reply. If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. tonight not any good? :p Her response came after a few moments of silence, and it really wasn''t what he had hoped for. Sorry, I promised Sun tonight... Xavier felt his fist clench around his scroll before he consciously realized it. Perhaps this was a sign, but then again, Xavier Mathis wasn''t someone to give up very easily. Right as he began to contemplate his next course of action, the bulkhead arrived. It wouldn''t be the last one for the evening but this would be something unique. The first to step off of it was, in fact, Sun Wukong. The tall, blond and handsome monkey Faunus seemed to take the environment of Beacon in with curiosity more than anything, though if the mischievous smile on his face was any indication, there were certain intentions behind that curiosity... That changed, however, when he spotted Xavier. "HEYO!" He called out towards the familiar face. Xavier gritted his teeth to force a smile. "sun wukong, can''t say i''m surprised..." "Oh, yeah man. Feels great to be here in Vale, ahh, so cold right! I was tooooootally in Vacuo until today right? Just got here." He laughed a bit, nudging his shoulder with intent as he lied... And then Xavier could see why. The airship was filled to the brim with students from Shade academy in Vacuo, all getting off for the first night here. "of course, i was hanging out with someone else awhile back who had a thing for weapons and women, could be anyone," He lit up and took a drag before looking over at the ship to see how many students were arriving. "so, here to chat with an unfamiliar face or is there something you actually needed?" "Ahh, you know, just saw you here and decided to say hey. Just waitin'' on- MY BOYS!" He stood up as a group of three other men came off the ship, chest bumping with each of them in turn. "Uh! Uh! Uh! What up, slowpokes?" He laughed. The second off the ship, a tall, dark and handsome young man, didn¡¯t seem very amused by Sun¡¯s announcement. "You have no idea how hard it is to come up with THAT many excuses..." The next one to speak was a slightly shorter young man dressed in a stylish red jacket with bits of tactical gear on top of his street clothes, it gave the impression to the inexperienced of a soldier or perhaps a survivalist, to Xavier he seemed like a rookie. Especially with his bright blue hair that was obviously combed up, and the golden goggles that rested on his forehead didn''t seem to give any tactical advantage. His first suspicions were practically vindicated when the subject of this analysis opened his mouth. "We had to blame Scarlet for taking you into the closet against your will like NINE different times." Aforementioned Scarlet, whose slightly long, side-parted hair matched his namesake, blushed just as harshly as that color. "I REALLY didn''t like spending that much time in the closet..." From Xavier''s immediate observation of his boot-cut skinny jeans, and overall foppish style, he didn''t figure that ''in the closet'' had been much of an issue for some time. He had to stifle a laugh, especially at Sun''s immediate response. "Awww, c''mon man! My rep!" "...this is your team, sun?" "Yup! Team SSSN repping Shade Academy in the Vytal Festival!" He laughed a bit. "You already got Scarlet''s name, so this is Sage and Neptune. Oh, the three S thing gets confusing, I''m the leader, not him." He points to Sage, the tallest member of the group who spoke first in this whole interaction. Sage rolled his eyes in response. Xavier seemed to look all of them over before closing his eyes briefly, feeling out their aura, and finally nodding in approval. "i couldn''t beat you all at once, congratulations," Neptune tilted his head a bit, making a face that was somewhere between confused and offended. "Is... that supposed to be a compliment? Who''s this guy?" "I unno. Friend of Blakes?" Sun shrugged, and Xavier couldn''t help but grin at the all too perfect opportunity for a formal introduction. He extended his hand to Sun. "professor mathis, hand-to-hand combat instructor" "Whaaaat?" Sun''s eyes widened briefly as that sank in. He laughed a bit, raising his hand to turn that handshake into a high-five. "Dude, nice! On some hot-for-teacher stuff, I get it." He... You know what, it was hard to tell WHAT Sun got out of that revelation. And once again Xavier was on the back foot, gods he hated this guy. "well, i keep your secret and vice versa... welcome to beacon gentlemen, enjoy your stay," Xavier would give a small bow before cutting his smoke break short. With students arriving so soon, there would be an announcement that the faculty would be present for. Xavier would guide a few wandering students towards the mess hall before approaching the gathered assembly of teachers. "wasn''t expecting a boat load of kids so soon..." He remarked to no one in particular, though several of his colleagues seemed to agree with the sentiment. "Professor Theodore only sought fit to inform me of a change in scheduling the day the bulkhead departed from Shade Academy." Ozpin closed his eyes and adjusted his glasses as he spoke. That cool indifference was perhaps the closest Xavier had seen to agitation from the old man. Glynda would cast a concerned glance over to him before clearing her throat. "We will just have to accommodate. The secondary building can be ready tomorrow night." Ozpin nodded and turned his attention to Xavier. "I have an assignment for you. However, tonight it may be best to make yourself scarce." Xavier smiled lightly, those were just the words he wanted to hear. "mind if i hit the town then?" Glynda would give a stern glare towards Xavier. "Provided you stay out of any trouble. Understand that the visiting students from Shade, and soon the other academies, have similar status to visiting dignitaries. Anything you do, whether right, wrong or indifferent, reflects on not only yourself, but Beacon and Vale as a whole." She explained very curtly, and Xavier took it in with a slow nod. "i''ll just... keep my head down then," Ozpin would pat Xavier on the back, a simple gesture, but it caused the Rogue of Space to shrink a bit in embarrassment, giving a nervous smile. The Headmaster would simply dismiss him by saying "See that you do." Xavier would begin to leave as Ozpin gave his address to the assembled students, both of Beacon and Shade. As he made his way out into the crisp evening of an early Autumn, the sun was beginning to set. And while flying in a machine was something he didn''t think he would ever get used to, the view of the city from up above made the nearly paralyzing fear almost worth it. Cities were such an unusual and fascinating environment to Xavier, so many people living their lives in such a relatively confined space. He couldn''t help but smile once he took in the miles and miles of buildings, the busy streets full of people both in cars and on foot, the general restlessness that filled the air, it was all capped off with the vibrant hues of the setting sun... Aside from something else he could sense. When Xavier stepped onto the Bulkhead he could have sworn he was the only passenger aboard, but now he was feeling a familiar aura... And another one that was more vibrant. The two did little to hide one another, and though he had an idea of who it could be, he didn''t want to give it away that he knew. Upon touching down Xavier sighed with relief as he made his way to the landing pad. After briefly taking in his surroundings at the terminal, he would close his eyes, attempting once more to sense the auras of those around him. He would light up the half-finished cigarette from his earlier break as he began to walk... And the two presences he could sense were following behind him. They kept a decent distance of a handful of meters behind him, though it wasn''t difficult to sense the bright aura from before. Even though it was behind him, obscuring his sight, he could feel its light and warmth. It was powerful. Upon reaching the busy city streets, Xavier began to search for a random street he could turn down, something to slowly isolate the presence coming up from behind... But once he had turned the corner, the presence would pass him by. Xavier followed the flow of the crowd for a moment before coming to a stop. The light was distant by now, more feint, but he could still make it out... It wasn''t following him. "and that means they only hitched a ride..." Xavier would crush out the butt of his smoke on the sidewalk, earning a glare from a passer by, but he frankly didn''t care. Blake may have been adept at stealth but Sun was a dead giveaway, and despite his better instincts... He decided to follow them. The moments would pass by slowly as he attempted to navigate this crowd practically blindfolded while keeping pace enough with Sun''s aura to not lose them... Fortunately that became far easier as they approached a far less populated area of the city. Xavier opened his eyes once more once he realized that the crowd he had shielded himself with had begun to disperse. As he took in his immediate surroundings, a few things stuck out: Namely that a warehouse district kept along vast shipping docks should be more populated, even at this time of the evening. He closed his eyes once more to sense that Blake and Sun were apparently scaling a building, and with a weary sigh he opened them once more and turned into a nearby alleyway. "blake... what are you getting yourself into?" He muttered as he shifted his Spiral Overcoat. This particular trick was one he hadn''t used in some time, to change the cost so that it reflected most incoming light, causing it to camouflage his body. He would rely on eyesight to get close to the nearest warehouse before scaling it. It was hardly the effortless show that Blake and Sun made it feel like as he struggled to find proper grip, much less footing, without breaking something. While Ozpin''s words echoed in the back of his mind, he didn''t believe that whatever was happening tonight was just going to be a date... Xavier would run across a few rooftops, leaping between them and catching himself with brief antigravity fields to avoid making much noise, coming to a stop when he landed on the opposite side of the rooftop that Blake and Sun were on. While he could sense them clearly, spotting them was a bit more difficult. Blake seemed to have a similar trick up her sleeve, blanketing them both in a wrap that seemed to be made of aluminum, with the setting sun not giving much heat to the metal, it wouldn''t be too unbearable to wear, and wouldn''t look dissimilar to any other metal fixture one would spot on a rooftop like this. "clever girl..." Xavier only barely muttered, though froze in place when he saw brief movement. It seemed her cat ears weren''t just for show. Nevertheless, they would return to their stillness... And from there, the situation would become a waiting game... Chapter 5: Long Night Out Part 2 Chapter 5 As the the last of the suns rays disappeared over the horizon, the fractured moon would rise once again, though the beauty of the night sky would have drawn his direct attention almost any other time, Xavier''s focus was squarely on the two teenagers that were perched on the rooftop across from him. Stakeout missions were always particularly long and boring, but he wondered what exactly they were looking out for, and so would close his eyes once more, extending his senses to a longer range than he was used to. To say that scoping out the entire warehouse was taxing would be an understatement, however, there were a pair of powerful auras that caught his attention. The first felt like a ball of fire, moreso than the usual nature of aura, in fact it had a similar shape to Yangs... Though was different in many ways. Whereas hers felt like a comforting warmth that could grow intense, this one felt like a wildfire hungry for more fuel. The second one felt like... Rage. That was the only word that came to mind, a barely contained rage. However... Something was off, there seemed to be a void that attempted to smother both. Xavier''s head started to hurt in attempting to make sense of it, so he opened his eyes once more... To find a pair of golden eyes staring right back at him. "What. Are. You. Doing. Here." Came the harsh whisper, each word delivered with venom and intent by none other than Blake. Xavier rubbed his temples, wondering to himself how exactly she managed to sneak up on him... Nevertheless, he had a response ready. "me?" He questioned in a likewise accusatory whisper. "neither of you are supposed to leave campus this weekend," "So you followed us?" She hissed under her breath. Xavier shook his head. "don''t act like you didn''t sneak aboard the same bulkhead," "And you waited four hours to say anything!?" At this point, she was fuming, seriously attempting to not yell at him. Xavier sighed. "first, what the hell are you doing here? second, how did you find me?" Blake''s ear twitched, and she shook her head. "I don''t owe you an explanation..." She attempted to turn her back... But soon sighed and looked over her shoulder. "Faunus have excellent night vision, and you really should leave before-" She would be cut off by the sound of a loud impact of metal on metal, followed by gunfire. Blake and Xavier both rushed towards the now open skylight that showed the main floor of the warehouse, only to find Sun inside... And fighting against what appeared to be an advanced mech suit, while being shot at by a bunch of similarly dressed goons. He would make his way to the scaffolding after acrobatically launching himself from his mechanized opponent''s arm. "Yo! A little help here?" Xavier and Blake looked at each other briefly before Sun launched himself back downward... Only to be quite literally backhanded out of the warehouse, and through a wall as he was splayed out onto the docks. Xavier quickly grabbed hold of Blake''s arm, getting to his feet and running towards the next nearest rooftop just before the gunfire started in their direction. They would both take a flying leap onto the next roof, with Blake landing gracefully and Xavier rolling back onto his feet a bit less so. He gave a small laugh before dusting himself off and quickly adjusting his clothing. "so... want that thing in tact or destroyed?" Blake finally snapped at him. "Sun could be seriously hurt and you''re joking!?" Xavier shook his head. "wasn''t a joke, so destroyed it is..." He unsheathed his knife, only to have his hand grabbed by Blake. "Do you even have a plan!?" She asked with serious concern, he was half tempted to throw the question back in her face, though instead he would shrug it off. "it''s a giant robot, take out the pilot and you''re golden, ...if you wanna grab sun i can do crowd control?" Blake... Didn''t seem opposed to the idea, though would motion for him to follow before giving an answer as she ran back towards the direction Sun was flying in. They both reached the edge of the roof before leaping off towards the docks, Blake would land on the ground and rush towards Sun, who at this point was attempting to fight off the various uniformed goons that threatened to surround him. Taking the best opportunity he could for a surprise attack, Xavier launched himself off the roof after her... Attempting to drive his blade straight through the cockpit glass of the mech suit. The cockpit bent slightly... but that was all. The glass being thick, and top notch ballistic, built like a tank... Or whatever the remnant version of a tank was, because clearly things were rougher here. And coming at it like a cannonball was eventually going to be effective, but more had to be done it seemed. The mech pulled a fist inwards to throw a punch over it''s own front in the hopes of removing him, before Gambol Shroud wrapped around his midsection, a hearty pull yanking him away. "Watch out... This thing isn''t like a grimm at all..." She sounded... off. There was an underlying tone of fear, but Blake wasn''t hesitating or losing her cool in the slightest. Xavier nodded before they both jumped out of the way of the mechanized fist that was headed towards them, which embedded itself for a few seconds inside of a giant shipping crate. "no kidding!" He said through a laugh, more impressed than anything that the mech survived the impact. "everyone step back, this one''s mine!" He called out to the others. Xavier would quickly jump up a few crates as the mech was trained fully onto him, after getting as high as he could, Xavier launched himself, jumping high and gathering a good bit of his energy into his left hand, which began to glow with white light, sparking with power. After a brief moment''s concentration, he would launch the white-hot blast at the machine with a harsh cry... Only for the blast to be brought to a halt by what appeared to be a shield made of light dust. Xavier''s stunned expression spoke volumes before he readied himself for the inevitable counter attack... Only to be pulled away by a clone of Sun launching itself over the mech to tackle him against the crates, narrowly avoiding the impact of a robotic fist entirely. Sun would then appear beside him as the clone vanished. "No way! Who says you''re gonna take this thing on your own?" While he was very obviously enjoying this, Sun jumped up, bouncing off Xavier''s shoulders like Mario abandoning Yoshi, landing on top of the mech and using his semblance to get three men working on opening the top hatch. "what the- GET OUT OF THE WAY!" That idiot, he had to hold back if... know what? Screw holding back right now. Xavier''s power flared up again. "great seer bless my rng... fraymotif: song of silly summoning!" A blue light appeared from his free hand and coalesced into... A scythe with a head made of black flames. He grinned wide as he lunged towards the arm that was coming after Sun. "spectral slash!" It wasn''t a clean cut, but it went deep enough that, with his momentum, the arm was torn back and would struggle to rise again. Content to continue using him for momentum, Blake wrapped her weapon around his, using his sudden torque of a slash to launch herself back towards the action, Following up with another more targeted slash to remove the arm entirely, landing on the ground and jumping back from the Mech''s feet as it stumbled, now off balance. "Go help Sun!" She pointed upwards. Teamwork was definitely a quality Xavier would need to work on, at least as far as Huntsmen went. He wanted to immediately shout that he rather obviously had this but... The last thing he needed was for her to be mad at him too. The scythe disappeared and in its place came... A spear that crackled with electric energy. Once he hit the ground, he used the momentum to catapult himself into the air, calling for Sun to grab on as he went higher, spinning a few times before letting the spear go with the monkey man attached, right towards the cockpit. He twirled in the air, and then, to show off a bit, let go of the spear and fell in a ''kicked back'' position, with his arms behind his head and his legs crossed, holding the spear in his tail as he fell, before stepping up to stomp it down with his foot, jamming it against the lock for the hatch and electrocuting it, allowing his two clones to pop it open! Inside was a rather intimidating presence. The spear would disappear and he would draw his knife to contend with the remaining arm attempting to hold it back long enough for Sun to grab the bastard out of the suit and go. And damn did he hope there were more to fight after this... His power was depleted but he felt like he was just getting started. But not so fast! Blake wrapped her weapon around the arm of the mech, pulling herself in to kick the cockpit''s cover entirely off, before the upper part of the mech began wildly spinning, a deluge of wind dust pushing all the combatants back away! A flurry of petals dashed from the nearest warehouse and straight towards Blake. Ruby would appear from the flurry, having caught her teammate and quickly setting Blake back on her feet before asking "What¡¯d I miss?" Xavier hit the ground and bounced up before he landed on his feet and threw up a quick antigrav field to catch Sun. Then dropping him somewhat unceremoniously. "giant robot, lots of goons, not sure what else," He looked back up at the mech and seemed to pull... A card, but not just any card, a card with a big 00 on the front. He grinned and it turned into a giant white sword. He then found the card for his giant black sword and rushed forward in a blur, sinking the black blade into one of the legs. "sun!" He tossed the other hard towards Sun, hoping the monkey Faunus could catch it. "Hup!" He used his semblance to send himself up into the air, tossing the sword up with him before the two clones threw each other, then him, he then flipped, coming down with a kick onto the sword that buried itself in the mech''s left foot. Nailing it to the ground. Meanwhile, Ruby and Blake gave each other a knowing look. "Ladybug!" Ruby shouted as the faunus hooked her weapon around the spinning arm of the robot, launching herself high into the air to slam down on the sword in the Mech''s right foot at the same moment as Sun did, jamming the swords deep into the pavement... Meanwhile, Ruby flipped Crescent Rose outwards into its fully unfolded position, firing off several shots along with using her semblance... "HAAA!" She started wildly spinning, turning herself into a massive rolling blender wheel, and driving right through the center of the mech to split it in half!Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator. "...holy shit," And with only a second to spare as the white sword vanished out of existence. He approached to collect his other sword with genuine surprise on his face. "that went... really well, is the pilot still alive?" "RAH!" The pilot was very much alive, sucker punching Xavier with the back of a very heavy weapon. It was a tall, strong looking man, roughly similar in build to Yatsuhashi, wielding a chainsaw which he thankfully only chose to hit Xavier with the motor end of as he landed back on the ground following his ejection from the mech. Xavier stumbled forward a bit, but without missing a beat would turn around and rush him, cutting the chainsaw''s motor side in half with his knife before lifting up the bigger man by the throat, floating upwards off the ground to compensate for the size difference. "i really don''t feel like killing anyone today but you are trying my fucking patience..." Unbeknownst to Xavier in the moment, his eyes glowed bright white and his voice had changed beyond just growing in volume. That won him probably the only thing that would''ve been more intimidating. Gambol Shroud''s ribbon wrapped around his neck as Blake yanked him back from the other Faunus as hard as she could. "NO!" He immediately let go as he was pulled back before he saw the look Blake was giving him, and dropped his weapon. Xavier rubbed his eyes and put his hands up, his expression and voice seemingly returning to normal. "blake, hey, ...i was going for fear, i''m not a murderer," Ruby and Sun had the upper hand now that the guy was disarmed though... Blake dropping to her knees and letting go of her weapon. "I... I''m sorry, I thought I saw..." She pressed her palms against her eyes, trying to clear the image from her mind as she sat on the pavement... His eyes immediately widened and he stepped back, able to pretty much picture what she saw. "i- ...i''m sorry, i''m so, so sorry," He looked over to Ruby, seeing that she had taken to subduing the larger Faunus while Sun seemed to be attempting to chase off any remaining thugs still hanging around. He turned back to Blake, not touching her, not getting closer, but... Waiting, for a moment. "blake... i didn''t mean to scare you..." "Well this is embarrassing..." The voice came from the top of a stack of crates, and then laughed a bit. The man came into view as he hopped down from one shipping crate onto another, he dressed in what could only be described as contemporary 30''s fashion, his white long coat, black slacks and wing-tipped shoes would have been enough to convince anyone of the criminal stereotype he was putting on full display, but the real kicker was, in fact, the bowler hat that rested on top of his head. The cane that he was twirling as he spoke, along with the lit cigar in his other hand, were just icing on the cake from there. Xavier was frankly stunned that anyone would leave the house looking like this. However, the mystery man before them simply stopped in place, seeming to address the larger faunus that was only barely restrained by Ruby. "I mean it was bad enough before, big guy like you can''t take down a coupla kids, but... They''re a bunch of crybabies too? I mean it can''t be the hardest thing in the world." He closed one eye, dropping the cigar and holding his cane in both hands as he pointed the end right at Blake''s head (from a distance of several dozen feet where he was standing, that is) sticking his tongue out to feign great effort, and then jerking his arms in a mock recoil. "Is that so hard?" Xavier''s eyes narrowed in an almost predatory fashion as he slowly stood up, and his expression immediately changed to a thin smile. "well well, a soulless ginger wants to preach about emotions... listen, whoever the hell you are, you look like you crawled out of a terrible gangster movie, and if you point that thing at anyone here again, i''ll break it off in your ass," He kept his tone entirely even for that particular exchange, a feat considering the rage that was boiling close to the surface. "Ooooh, that''s scary!" He laughed again, spinning his cane over his shoulders and resting with it behind his head. "Listen kid, if big words worked on me I wouldn''t be where I am today. Why don''t you tend to your girlfriend and I''ll collect my pet." Ruby growled a little bit, holding onto the mech pilot a bit tighter... He hadn''t quite been fully subdued now, so she was holding him around the neck. "how about instead..." Xavier''s eyes glowed white once more as he held his left hand forward. "we''ll start with a few bones..." His fingers gently curled in a squeezing motion, which would have grasped the supposed boss of this operation in a strong gravity field all around his body, one that only would have gotten more intense. Except... "That''s better!" He smiled, sarcastically clapping once and seemingly entirely unaffected. "Once again, you don''t get where I am picking fights you don''t KNOW you can win... Ah, there''s some rock-paper-scissors to this isn''t there? Let''s see... What beats Rouge of Space?" Xavier''s eyes immediately returned to their normal state, widening in shock as He smirked. Within the blink of an eye, the gangster closed the gap in an instant, bashing Xavier in the chin with the top of his cane. "Xavier!" Blake''s voice called his attention immediately as he scrambled to his feet from the impact, picking up his weapon, only to see that she had been ensnared in hers. Gambol Shroud''s ribbon bound her hands and body, before finally coming to rest around her neck, the gun hilt being held by a shorter woman dressed no less fancifully from her ginger counterpart. Her own hair was flowing and pink, and her heterochromia showed one eye that was a rich brown while the other matched the shade of her hair. Both, however, were fixed on Xavier, alongside a venomous smile that dared him to do anything at all. In the span of a few seconds, the haunting silence let him think, contemplate how quickly the situation had shifted, and how much they were on the back foot now. This was bad, more than bad. "how- ...how do you know that name?" He asked through gritted teeth, carefully attempting to weigh his options, but something stood out immediately. "everyone be on your guard! he''s using illusions!" "Perceptive..." The ginger man quickly lashed out, his cane splitting apart to reveal a wire connecting the two segments, and giving him some range to attack Xavier, who received a harsh blow across the face before he could properly react. He growled under his breath as he looked squarely into the eyes of his assailant. "if you''re looking to piss me off, you''ve succeeded..." Xavier felt the impact, rubbing his jaw as he got a good look around, with few good options. Sun was likewise attempting to strategize from a distance, most likely concerned with Blake and not wanting to draw attention before he could attempt to rescue her. Blake herself seemed to be caught in the grip of fear, or else incapable of using her Semblance to escape, and Ruby would get hurt by her supposed captive if he didn''t do something quick. He needed more time. "here''s what''s going to happen, you let her go, and i let you run," He knew that cane was a split second from firing something at him, dust most likely, time to see if he can absorb it... "otherwise, i''m going to show you why illusions don''t work on me," "Illusions are so uncouth... REAL power is all I play with~" He smirked, the weapon not firing, but rather recoiling, Roman pulling himself back towards Xavier, who nearly reflexively threw a straight punch... With one punch, the ginger man shattered around his hand like so many shards of glass, and his fist that was meant for Xavier would be replaced with the tip of the pink-haired woman''s umbrella, Smiling smugly at him as she tapped the button on the handle to pierce his clothes with the long metal blade hidden in the top, stinging deep into his thigh not unlike a bee. A really, really, REALLY large bee. Xavier immediately winced in pain, his eyes opening wide before his glare finds Neo. "...i''m gonna give you one more chance, since apparently a lesson in self-control is the letter of the day," A bluff, and a fairly empty one from his position as Xavier struggled to vocalize it through gritted teeth and the pain that followed. Now he had something else to deal with: Blood loss. If he couldn''t find a moment to fix his leg, on top of everything else... Regardless, his right hand threw a quick jab toward the woman. FOOMP. His hand was deflected by her simply forcing the umbrella open, as the brim was far harder than your average parasol. Pulling her blade back and doing a few backflips to create some space between them... In the meantime, Sun had pulled back to make sure Blake was okay, attempting to undo the binding around her, though it wouldn''t be easy, especially to avoid hurting her. The gangster, however, seemed more than amused by all of this, laughing hard at Xavier''s wounded display of dropping to one knee. "Bravo~!" he slow clapped, Appearing again on top of the crates that they had first seen him. "You know, I don''t think you''d ever really know what strength is if in the back of your mind you''re always thinking about just packing it all up and leaving the world for another. Don''t you hero types usually say that real strength is more than just how hard you can hit? Because that''s all you seem to have going for you!" He raised his cane, popping the bottom off and firing a large, charged shot of fire dust, looking to end this with a bang. Xavier, on the other hand, saw the opportunity he had been waiting for. He held his hand out and the shot slowed to a crawl... Before detonating. The explosion, however, had very little impact as it seemed to disappear into the palm of Xavier''s hand as it went off, just as quick as the flash of light it would have been. And now, now he was something beyond pissed off. Opening his eyes and slowly rising to his feet once more, Xavier''s eyes glowed bright orange as he felt renewed vigor flowing through his limbs, the order of operations now was plain as day, but it wouldn''t be that easy. The moment the explosion went of, the pink-haired woman was back in his face, tracing her umbrella blade from his foot up his thigh all the way to his belt, seemingly trying to cut his pants off. Whatever her plan, Xavier wasn''t having it. With a downward gesture she quickly felt the strain of several G''s acting on her body, and it forced her almost to her knees. And now was the time to make a command decision... Time to fight smart, not hard. He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath and no doubt taking a few more cuts in the process as she fought against the gravity field. Go time. He began his maneuver by snapping his fingers, disappearing in a flash of blue light and teleporting forward to deliver a harsh blow to the struggling white fang member in Ruby''s grip, a kick to the jaw that seemed to knock him out cold as his body slumped to the ground. Secondly then, he would teleport back to give the woman a harsh kick backwards, she stumbled back and out of the gravitational field. Finally, it was over to Blake, a third flash of light before he appeared in front of her, grasping Gambol Shroud and snapping his fingers once more as to turn intangible with the weapon in hand. That didn''t last long, but long enough to get it off of her... With Blake having been rescued, Ruby safe and the others still in fighting shape, now he was tired, oh and losing blood pretty fast. He fell to one knee as he went to uncaptchalogue his faygo. The gangster applauded. "Beautiful! Man, you gotta love a juggling act! How about I throw you one more ball~" His partner had fallen to the ground after being kicked that hard, but bounced back to her feet as soon as she possibly could, giving a scowl to Xavier once he''d managed to get the better of her. She decided to pay him back by going pretty low... Stealing his Faygo and lifting her foot as high as she could to deliver an axe kick between the legs... Just before Sun could get a good shot at her, the ginger fired his cane off again, wrapping around his partner''s outstretched arm and dragging her back up to him... Amid the chaos of the fight, the noise of a small VTOL jet lowering itself above the two criminals wasn''t exactly noticeable, and while Sun fired a few potshots at it in anger, there wasn''t the time to truly act as the gangster used his cane to lift them both towards the ship and out of reach. "Unfortunately, it looks like we''re all out of time! Let''s pick this up later, though... I''m sure we haven''t seen the last of you, yadda yadda yadda..." Xavier immediately tried to crush the aircraft they were on with a gravity field but... Just didn''t have the power for it, so instead settled on flipping the bird as they flew away... Oh, right, a lot of blood loss. The ground looks pretty nice doesn''t it? Chapter 6: Promises Chapter 7 Xavier let out a sputtering breath before coughing as the cold night air filled his lungs once more, an immense pressure on his chest as Ruby applied compressions. His head rose briefly before falling back down to the ground, but his breathing was at least steady. Ruby sighed with relief and sat down beside him. "Are... You okay professor?" Xavier''s arms were lazily draped over his chest as he took in a deep breath, then exhaled with a long sigh. "that depends... how''s everyone else?" Ruby would sheepishly rub the back of her neck. "Once we got the bleeding to stop and I started compressions... Blake and Sun left." Xavier lifted his head up enough to show that a tattered piece of what were once his pants were wrapped around the spot that had been cut wide open, soaked through with his own blood. He slowly, gradually sat up before removing the fabric, much to Ruby''s shock. "H-hey what are you-!?" He raised a hand with a gesture to tell her to stop. He needed quiet focus. Transmuting other particles into human tissue was a complicated process, one that he had practiced with and endured enough times that it would normally have been second nature... But through this restraint, he needed focus. With a few quiet moments, his fingertips would dig into the wound, turning layers of skin into replacement tissue while his other hand absorbed micrometers of the ground around them at a time to compensate, regenerating the lost skin as fast as it would come, up until the wound itself was sealed. The fact that it took more than a few seconds was troubling enough, but thinking back on his performance throughout that entire skirmish was another thing entirely. Finally, Xavier broke the silence. "...i messed up ruby, i messed up bad" He sighed before starting to get back to his feet. Something Ruby would attempt to help him with, despite the replacement ligaments, artery and tissue, it still felt weak and would undoubtedly scar. "If it wasn''t for you, I don''t think we would have gotten away in such good shape... Relatively." She admitted after gazing down at his grazed thigh. Xavier shook his head. "i''m... not used to failure like this, the bad guys got away, blake- ...everyone got hurt, it''s my fault" Ruby paused, causing Xavier to take a few more hesitant steps forward on a still weak leg before turning to her. "...how did you even find us?" Ruby''s cheeks turned a bit red at the question. "Well, um... I took the first bulkhead down into the city to get snacks for the weekend and... kind of... forgot I wasn''t supposed to do that. W-when I saw you out on the streets earlier I was going to ask if I could get a ride back..." It took Xavier a minute to realize that she remembered his little embarrassment teleport from before. He laughed a bit. "i can still take you back, once i''ve got some juice," Ruby nodded. "Your semblance is strange, I guess... You can manipulate your aura like energy from an anime?" Xavier blinked in surprise. "...they have anime here?" Ruby nodded. "It''s all from Mistral of course but there''s a market, Yang shows me all of her fighting... um... shows. I like the slice of life ones." "what, like romance?" He teased a bit, causing Ruby to look away in embarrassment. Xavier would reach over and pat her shoulder. "nothing to be embarrassed about, ...we should probably leave before the cops show up though, do you have any dust?" Ruby hesitated to answer that, though did eventually respond. "It''s pretty expensive stuff..." Xavier shook his head a bit. "i also need it if we''re going to get back, no offense but i don''t exactly want to get a hotel in this part of town-" As he spoke, Xavier had been looking around for materiel that could be useful to absorb. However, his eyes landed squarely on a shipping crate that had been punched through by the mech earlier. He recognized the symbol alongside it. "...no way, help me over there?" Ruby was a bit skeptical, but complied, acting as Xavier''s crutch for the short trip over, but she recognized it as well once they arrived. "Is that an SDC shipment??" Xavier gave a low whistle before taking a few more steps towards it, grabbing hold of a smaller, padded case that had fallen and opening it up to find vials of fire dust inside. "yep... and i''ll bet you ten to one that over half of the containers on this dock are packed with this stuff, so that''s what they were doing here..." Ruby''s eyes widened. "And Blake and Sun knew about it the whole time..." Xavier grabbed a case from the container, it was sizable and had a bit of heft to it, but could still be reasonably carried in one hand over small distances. He used his knife to open the locked case and took one vial before putting it back. "seems like it-" The incredulous stare that Ruby gave him made him feel an unfamiliar pang in his stomach. "...look, it''s just one for the greater good, i''ll even confess if asked, but we definitely don''t want to be here much longer," Ruby seemed to relent, looking down at the floor with a frustrated expression, but not saying anything. Xavier crushed the vial in his hand and absorbed the contents swiftly. A warmth spread through his being that he didn''t recognize from the last time, though his eyes glowed the same shade of orange. He offered his hand to Ruby. "let''s get out of here," And so they would, in a flash of orange light, both would disappear, leaving behind only a small scorch mark. Upon arriving back at the entrance of Beacon, both sighed with relief. Ruby would smile as she briefly inspected Crescent Rose before turning to Xavier. "Are you going to be okay professor?" Xavier chuckled a bit. "yeah, if i can make it to my room, i''m just gonna pass out for awhile," Though he wore the mask well, inside he was frothing with anger. None of this should have happened in the way it did, he should have been able to prevent this. He should have been stronger... He shook his head a bit and sighed. "just keep out of trouble, okay?" And with that, he would leave his present company to make the long and arduous trip back to his room, limping as he went. The next morning when he awoke, he had indeed slept it off as his leg was no longer in pain. Why this miraculous regeneration ability could only happen when he was asleep was something beyond his understanding, however, after getting dressed and opening his door... Ozpin was on the other side. "Ah, perfect timing." The Headmaster stated bluntly. "Meet me in my office, Mathis." He simply instructed before walking away, Xavier sighed in frustration, it seemed the jig was indeed up already... Upon arriving in said office, the first and only other person inside was a familiar face, that of Qrow. Who looked significantly less drunk than their first time meeting, Qrow nodded to Xavier. "Heard you had a busy night." Xavier simply nodded as he made his way off the elevator and sitting down in a chair. Qrow would take a cup of coffee and pour a bit of something from his hip flask in it before offering the drink to Xavier, which he took gladly. After a few moments of near silence, the elevator would open once more and Ozpin would emerge. "The good news is that the police haven''t found any evidence that points back to you. There was no surveillance equipment within the warehouse grounds." Xavier slowly nodded as Ozpin approached his desk, sitting down upon it. "Now, I want you to explain to us everything that happened, starting from the beginning." Xavier would slowly nod. He took a deep breath in through his nose, only taking a moment to gather his thoughts, wanting to "okay, so... once i disembarked the bulkhead i saw a couple other figures do the same, considering they were hiding themselves i figured they were students and not staff, so i tailed them..." Aside from not giving any identities or mentioning Ruby''s involvement whatsoever, Xavier accurately recounted the events of the night, the fight against the mech, and the gangsters afterwards. Albeit he omitted any mention of others fighting. "...by the time the dust settled, they were long gone, and i decided to take a pinch of dust to disappear before the cops actually arrived, something tells me the slow response has alot to do with bribery and/or coercion,"If you come across this story on Amazon, it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. Ozpin would take a long drink from his mug and contemplate for a moment. "So, aside from the identities of these students, what aren''t you telling us?" Xavier chuckled a bit, embarrassed more than anything. "just one thing," Discretion may be the better part of valor, but when one was called out so blatantly, it didn''t have much of a place... "the gangster with red hair," "Roman Torchwick." Qrow interjected. "right, that guy," Xavier nodded. "...he called me by my title, and knew about my... propensity for leaving," While that was difficult to admit, this wasn''t the time to hold back. "look... i may have shared a bit much among friends, but the rogue of space was something only the people in this room at the time were privy to, right?" His tone was irritated as he asked Ozpin that question, albeit not accusatory, he wouldn''t dare. Ozpin adjusted his glasses before sharply inhaling through his nose. "I have a collective of like-minded colleagues who share a vision of Remnant''s future. Perhaps... I should compile a spreadsheet..." He pinched the bridge of his nose. "oz..." Xavier interjected. "if it''s a spy, they''re most likely surrounding rather than in your circle, you shouldn''t have to question the loyalty of your friends..." He knew that pain all too well, and was no one to lecture on it, but that seemed to bring Ozpin some small measure of peace. Qrow grit his teeth. "I wouldn''t rule it out so quickly... You''re being na?ve if you think someone can ever be too close to betray you..." "Agreed..." Oz nodded. "But I understand if you don''t want to draw suspicion to those you care about. For the time being, simply keep an eye open for anything suspicious." "i... i will..." Xavier looked up at Ozpin. "...oz ...did i fail yesterday?" And at that moment something was glaringly obvious. From the weakened tone of voice only barely pushing the words out, to the tense body language of his shoulders and clenched fists. This was more than just his usual concern, or objective fear of immediate death or some such. No, he was trembling as he asked that. That the headmaster''s approval could possibly make or break him in this moment. Ozpin thoughtfully pushed up his glasses, covering his eyes as he folded his hands. "To succeed or fail is inherently subjective based on one''s goals... To believe that in all things one must fail in order for another to succeed, is not true. It is only when goals conflict that this is the case... But they often do not. Your goal, as it always is, was simply to protect your students from harm. Not to make Roman Torchwick''s plan fail. His success in this instance is not indicative of your failure." Xavier probably went quiet for longer than Qrow or Ozpin had ever seen, before giving a last nod. "...thank you," He slowly stood up, though Ozpin put his hand up. "Xavier, a moment." Xavier would carefully sit back down before Ozpin continued. "On Monday morning, your class will be suspended for two weeks. The Vytal Festival Dance is coming and you are hereby placed in charge of its planning." Xavier visibly baulked at that notion. "wha- ...what, because i know what the kids are into these days?" He joked, figuring there was a punchline in here somewhere. Even Qrow got a bit of a laugh from this one, Oz, however, shook his head. "Even I''m not so out of touch as to assume you do. The truth is, quite simply, that you''re the only member of the faculty with that amount of free time." Xavier paused in consideration before nodding. Oz continued. "Catering will be taken care of on the school''s budget, but the rest is up to you and a committee you will select. ...Try to actually stay out of trouble." Xavier slowly nodded before getting up and actually taking the elevator down this time, once he had departed, Qrow grumbled a bit under his breath before speaking up to Ozpin. "You know he''s lying, right?" Ozpin would take a sip of his drink. "Naturally. However, omitting the truth to protect his students is different than outright lying for one''s own purposes. I doubt he left any of his own involvement out from the story." Ozpin rose from his sitting position on his desk and walked to the window of his office that overlooked the campus. Already, he could see students boarding the transports down to the city to spend their weekends decompressing. "...I also have no doubts that Ms Belladonna has no further involvement with the White Fang." Qrow raised a brow. "You think it was her? ...Actually, no, that''s kinda obvious." Ozpin nodded. "And it seems she has been following their network within the city. It is best to keep our distance just enough to observe, and lead the police to appropriate action." Xavier would be out in the courtyard with a cigarette between his lips when his scroll rang. "...come back after coffee," Came the immediate answer. He was joking of course, but he sounded tired. The voice on the other end was a perky and familiar one, that of Yang. "Heyyy! Perfect, actually. Like I said we want to hit the floor at probably like... 9pm? So we''ll take the last ship down unless you go into town before then, so text me if you do, but like... Yeah, just wanted to let you know you''ve got time!" "...shit hold on," He checked the time and was surprised at just how long he had slept. "...last one sounds good, i uh, just need to wake up," More than tired, he sounded shaken up. Nevertheless, she would say a quick goodbye and hang up, leaving him alone with his thoughts for a brief moment... Right up until that moment was spoiled by a red flurry that descended upon him before he could react. "Hey!" Ruby had run straight into Xavier, using her semblance to wind up practically on top of him in an instant. Xavier blinked in surprise and coughed on the drag he was taking. "c-c- uh... ruby... what''d i do this time?" She would quickly hop off, not letting the awkwardness of the situation get to her. However... "Um... Have you seen Blake at all today?" Xavier shook his head. "nope... i doubt she''ll be coming around for a bit either," He hoped otherwise, but that kind of emotional impact leaves a mark. Ruby seemed to ponder for a moment before she spoke again. "About yesterday... I believe you." Xavier raised a brow as he crushed out his smoke. "...what do you mean?" Ruby took a deep breath. "I didn''t know what to think when you started messing with Blake... Yesterday you could''ve been stalking her because you''re jealous or, um, something..." The thought wasn''t an impossible one, and that idea made Xavier cringe internally. "But, after yesterday... I''m pretty much convinced you''re a good person, but Blake got dressed and left super early so I was more just looking for an explanation." "oh... um..." He didn''t quite know how to answer that, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck as his cheeks flushed bright red. "that means alot, honestly," She smiles a bit, though it didn''t last. "I''m guessing she needs some space after last night. Are you going to be around later?" Xavier gave an awkward, nervous chuckle. "well, um, i''m going into town tonight..." He silently prayed she didn''t ask why, though Ruby seemed satisfied with that answer. "If she decides to come home and rest, tonight would be perfect then." She nodded and gave Xavier a wave as she walked off. It seemed, to him at least, that Blake could trust her team if nothing else. That gave him some measure of peace as he waited for the next transport to head into Vale. Chapter 7: On The Town Chapter 7 After a few hours of following the crowds and seeing the sights of the city come to life before his eyes, Xavier decided that the start of the setting sun was a proper indication that he should get into contact with his prospective date for the evening. After finding an alleyway close to the station where he could pause and have a smoke, he would light up and message Yang. hey, i''m here in the city lol :b The reply was nearly instant. He had to wonder to an extent if she had been waiting for him or if he was just lucky... Heyyyy! Where are u? Cuz I can be there in 30 He checked the time, the second ship from Beacon was departing soon. Perfect timing as it turned out. Xavier chuckled a bit as he took a long drag before responding. i''ll see you when you get off, Well duh, but we''ve got all night ;p Aaaaand he choked a bit on it. With his face flushed bright red he had to consider his response very, very carefully... you know what i meant - -'' And YOU know what I meant. ;P Well that sealed it, didn''t it? Xavier sighed and hung around long enough to finish his smoke before heading to the station. The place wasn''t exactly packed, though he could see why. Not many people would be coming to this section of the city on a Friday evening apart from the few that took a bulkhead too and from work. The lack of populace made spotting the blonde bombshell that much easier as she strolled towards him with a noticeable swagger. Yang was wearing a very... special outfit, just for this trip. A bright yellow crop-top alongside tight black booty shorts, thigh-high orange striped socks, and black canvas sneakers. She would have been showing off much more if it wasn''t for the long, brown leather coat she was wearing on top, without a doubt only because it was colder outside than anticipated. Xavier couldn''t help but stare, his voice catching in his throat as he tried to find the words, especially when she latched onto his arm. The slightly taller girl leaning her head against his as they started to walk. She was waiting for a response, obviously, and Xavier found one when they were outside. "don''t think i don''t appreciate the effort, but i can''t exactly spoil you on my salary" Yang snickered a bit. "That''s cool! I don''t drink or... y''know, anything more than that, so I usually get out pretty cheap." She smiled brightly. "I''ll admit, it''s a liiitle embarrassing wearing this while the sun''s still up, but i''ll get over it." She smiled brightly. He felt a little... overdressed, for this occasion, if that''s what she was wearing. Admittedly he found it hard to look away, and quite frankly he wasn''t sure if he wanted to... Though caught himself peering a bit close and would quickly look straight forward. She caught onto that pretty quickly, though something else came to mind. "Ooooh yeah, we''ll get you a little more party-ready with the extra time." She giggled, leaning back to show off the goods a bit, catching quite a few stares from others that were on the ship... Peeking one eye open to look at him, wondering if he was jealous or wanted to defend her... Xavier knew he caught a few of the stares and shot back with a look that silently asked if they were jealous, especially when he placed an arm around her shoulders. Admittedly, he had to float up a couple of inches to do that, but it was a trick he could pull off fairly easily. "...i don''t mind getting into something that looks better, but it''s gonna be hard to focus if you''re gonna be a tease," "Hehehe, you love me for it~" She stuck her tongue out a bit, snuggling riiight up to him. Absolutely loving the possessiveness she''d fished for. Xavier raised a brow and shot back with a smile. "...you''re funny, thinking that''s why," As naturally as that response came, in the back of his mind... He wondered why he could just... Talk to her while it seemed more difficult with others. "Okay, let''s see..." Her voice got Xavier out of his own head, he shook it a bit before turning to Yang as she continued. "We want to shop first, definitely want to eat something before we go in, but not like crazy much... uh... Anything you wanna do to kill time? Game stores or sports shops, like uh... Boy stuff?" That got a genuine laugh out of him as Xavier dropped back to the ground from his light floating. "you don''t really know what i like aside from shitty movies huh?" He joked before pondering for a moment, an idea did come with the limited money he had. "actually... do they have any music shops around here?" "Yeah!" Yang perked up at the idea, but had to stop and consider it. "Well... Maybe." She laughed a bit. "There''s this one hole in the wall place I like, but it might not be there anymore. We can give it a shot." He nods and gives a small smile. "i''d really appreciate it... might get to show you something good if this works out~" What was he teasing? She laughed, gently patting him on the back. "I dunno what you''re thinking, but... they probably won''t have the sorts of Music you''re used to, alright?" That caught Xavier a bit off guard, wondering if Blake She led him to the place. A small shop owned by one guy. Posters covered the front windows with the largest advertising the big hit for the season. "Shine" by a band he had never heard of. "you''re not wrong..." Once they were inside, the surroundings looked familiar. Similar to any music shop one would find back home He began to look at the wall racks. Guitars, keyboards, even a few brass instruments. All were in various states of ware and prior use, maintained certainly, but not anything that was new. Upon further examination, quite a few guitars seemed to have custom work done, from alterations made to the fretboards to multiple additional and/or different widths to the strings. One thing was glaringly obvious, and that was this shop saw business from hobbyists and professionals, or just the eccentric. He smiled, Yang had found the perfect pick. She seemed to be awaiting a response, as did a man who eyed the two from behind a counter, to describe the blond''s appearance as hippie-like in nature with his cut off denim vest, ripped jeans and tie-dye headband seemed an accurate assessment. Finally, Xavier spoke. "it doesn''t have to be made for what i''m used to i just need..." After trailing off, he spotted something. He approached a short-neck guitar with a missing string, it had a body made of varnished wood, a strangely spaced fretboard and a couple more switches than expected. The clerk would approach, without a doubt following Xavier''s line of thought. Though before he got a word out, Xavier posed a question. "do you have anything with 4 strings? deeper sound?" "Heh, you know what you need." He nodded a bit, having been prepared to suggest just that were he to ask for anything different... "And so do I, got one that was a trade-in some time back. Poor guy put a ton of work into it but couldn''t keep it." He walked off, leaving the two to their own devices for a moment. Yang was more quiet than he had seen her before as she curiously awaited the result. When the clerk did return, he brought with him a short-neck bass that likewise had a wooden body, albeit painted over with an electric blue while pearlescent was present in most other areas.Enjoying the story? Show your support by reading it on the official site. Aside from a second switch and a whammy bar that was engraved with the initials ''A.O.N.'', Xavier couldn''t see anything too out of place. "hmm..." This certainly had some character, a few twangs and it seemed any restoration work needed was purely cosmetic. "...mind if i try before i buy?" He asked as he was already prepped to play, tuning just a bit, a wide smile on his face. "Not every day someone comes in here who even can!" He laughed, patting the counter to invite Yang, who hopped up to sit. "All you want, kid." "don''t mind if i do..." He seemed hesitant, a few practice riffs, nothing outrageous, in fact he messed up a few times but... Once he started to find his footing, his movements gradually grew in complexity, he seemed to be cycling through familiar songs that neither of them had ever heard. Xavier paused, having shaken off some of the rust, he smiled wide, shut his eyes and began to strum out something far more impressive, and would even begin singing, in fact it was pretty difficult to follow until he opened his eyes and looked at Yang. "say baby do you wanna lay down with me, say baby do you wanna lay down by my side a baby do you wanna lay down with me say baby," a few more notes and he''d come to a stop. "...say baby~?" She was definitely impressed, smiling a little bit as she watched him, a tiny blush on her face. She hummed along a little when she got the rhythm and when he finished... Giggled a bit and replied. "Well duh~" Xavier laughed and turned to the clerk. "...i''ll take it, a case too," He was more than happy to cough up the lien for this, being able to play again was something else. Bass wasn''t the flashiest thing, but he loved it, and had since he was young. A small flood of memories came back when his fingers were busy playing, though the nostalgic feeling would have to wait as there was something more important right in front of him. After paying and saying their goodbyes to the shop owner, they walked outside the store, upon which he captchalogued the case as to not have to carry the guitar around. Yang clung to him a little tighter after that stunt, more than a little convinced. "Whoa, where''d it go?" Oh, yeah he hadn''t explained that part to anyone yet. He stopped, trying to find a convincing enough explanation, Ozpin''s lecture about not showing off too much came to mind though now wasn''t exactly the time. "well... ever played an rpg with an inventory system?" He asked kind of casually. "Well, yeah. Not all the way through though." She smiled a bit, Yang never had the attention span for long fantasy games that dragged on for hours. "works like that, just... part of my semblance, i can hold items and grab ''em at any time," It was the easiest explanation as the inventory system was just... natural to him. To anyone really that had grown up on earth in his time. "so, you said i needed something more appropriate for a club?" A quick change of subject may have been better to She narrowed her eyes a bit, feeling like he was keeping something from her, but didn''t pry just yet. "Yeah, definitely. I know a place." Her suspicion waned as she smiled, Xavier found himself dragged along as she walked faster, leading him to a sort of... run down looking store that more resembled a Spencer''s Gifts than anything. Once they walk inside, the shelves and displays drew attention as they were filled with frankly vulgar merch, everything from punk bands and violent animations to flat out branded (and unbranded) sex toys. Xavier looked around the shop, then at Yang, then back to the shop, and again a few times before giving a look that asked the obvious three word question of ''what the fuck?'' Yang laughed a bit at his expression. "It''s not all they sell! C''mon." She laughed a bit, dragging him further in... "We only need a couple things, it''ll be fine!" He... Pulled his hood up, being seen at this place with Yang dressed how she was would have made for some rumors and then some. Though he was willing to find out what the hell she was after... She gave a wave to the tattooed girl behind the counter, and proceeded to pick out an outfit for him that was similar in style to the one she was wearing... A tight fitting white tank top with a big loose open hawaiian style shirt that was black with golden flowers over top, cutoff denim shorts and bright neon blue shoes that resembled crocs would finish the ensemble. After the outfit was assembled, Xavier looked it over with a raised brow and gave a small laugh, adding a pair of bright blue shutter shades to the pile. It seemed ''modern'' style was fairly similar, how convenient. "...i don''t do shorts, but i''ll humor you," He teased, though hesitated before actually buying the outfit, he knew full well that this would be awkward to explain, but still. He didn''t really have to ask if this kind of place had a dressing room. He would leave Yang for the moment with a light tease about further merchandise before coming back out looking practically like someone else. The clerk seemed to stifle a laugh at how awkward Xavier looked in this fit, but Yang was more than enthusiastic. "Awesome~!" She giggled, clapping her hands when she saw him. She would take him around the shelves one last time for a few more things of vital importance for the kind of party they were about to attend... some lolipops, SEVERAL glow sticks, a bit of Body paint, and a pacifier necklace... He never understood the pacifier thing, but everything seemed to be the style of the kind of party they were getting ready for. The sun would start going down soon when they got checked out. "...guess dinner before we go isn''t a bad idea," Once they stepped out, she forced the bag into his arms. "Here, hang onto this crap for a bit." She stretched, though seemed to have a brief realization as she quickly added: "And don''t do the whole disappearing thing, those glow sticks don''t last as long as you''d think!" Yang would get a few whistles as they walked, now that the sun was down people seemed more bold. More eager to fool around. Xavier felt more out of his element than he had all night. And so he kept her close as they walked, an arm around her, waist. Xavier was content giving the ones who whistled or stared too long knowing looks, they could be jealous all they wanted. "...you''re pretty popular, half of them are probably thinking ''wow that guy must be rich''" She laughed a bit. "I dunno, do I look that much like an escort?" She giggled at her own joke, despite the... somewhat terrible thought. Eventually they would pause in their long walk as she lead him to a small food cart. "You don''t want to eat too much because we''re going to get crazy, but if you don''t eat anything you''ll pass out." "right, just a snack..." He said with a nod of understanding, and then proceeded to order what would have been considered a full course meal. Having no trouble devouring it, now it was Xavier who was getting eyes from random strangers on him, including the vendor. Yang seemed more than a little concerned, both with how much he had ordered, and just how quickly he seemed to devour it all. Xavier would blush a bit and awkwardly rub the back of his neck before answering the concern. "...you uh ...don''t know how many calories you burn training like i do," Yang smiled sheepishly. "I get my energy from working, so..." Watching him eat, she suddenly getting cold feet and ordered something a bit lighter than she intended, not wanting to eat in front of him while on a date... So she had a salad. There was an awkward silence Street vendors always had the best stuff. But once he finished, he felt... Nervous. "i... should probably tell you, i''ve never been to a party like this, like, not even at school," "It''s alright, there''s nothing to really worry about or anything! Just like... Usual stuff. Don''t let people touch you weirdly, but also try not to make a scene. Don''t accept drinks from strangers, since that goes both ways at parties like this, and watch out for any drugs being passed around. We''re not gonna do that tonight, alright?" "i uh... also can''t dance, ...worth shit," He admitted sheepishly, a heavy blush on his face. Something maybe to have been said earlier. She hesitated, then laughed a bit. "Oh, it''s not that kind of dancing, don''t worry!" She smiled, bumping him with her hip and wiggling her arms a little bit. "It''s just sorta like this! Just feel your emotions with your body and get together with people!" "that sounds like the opposite of me in every way... okay, let''s try it," He checked his scroll for the time, though was grabbed by the hand rather quickly and led towards the party. Chapter 8: Clubbing (NSFW Warning) Chapter 8 "Ready to go have some fun~?" "i''ll let you know when i stop," He joked, today had been very fun. He took her hand again, gently this time, as they made their way over. He could hear music already from down the block. This club was BIG. Like, stories tall, with flashing lights all down the street, music that was blaring loud enough to hear from the outside... And a massive line down the block, and around the corner... A line that Yang had absolutely no intention of waiting in. She stopped at the opposite corner, resting against the wall for a sec. "Alright, get the stuff. We''ll dress up here and then go in." "planning on cutting the line? shame i didn''t bring my invisibility cloak..." Xavier handed her the bag with the various items she had purchased in the shady shop in it, wondering what her no doubt mischievous plan was. "Duh. Gotta impress you a bit with that stunt you pulled earlier." She blushed a little. "But this isn''t part of that." She cracked a few glow sticks, putting one around his neck, and a few on her wrists, along with that pacifier necklace she bought. Then... the body paint. "Here''s what I want you to do... Get a little of this on your hands or fingers or whatever, and just sorta... Y''know, get it on me wherever~ Lots of colors, kay?" Xavier''s cheeks flushed a bright red and he looked away, attempting to hide just how highly he thought of that idea. However, he would look over the colors of paint that she had selected, and admittedly got a few ideas... Using the brightest yellow first, he made a few patterned marks tracing his fingertips down her exposed torso, feeling the definition of her muscles as he drew diagonal lines, finishing this first idea with a handprint on her stomach, and a few touches to her cheeks (followed by a boop with a clean finger). He wasn''t used to being creative with paint of all things, and so was a bit conservative, not pushing boundaries, not yet... Yang''s cheeks flushed slightly when she felt his hands on her stomach, smiling as she savored the sensation. "C''mon, a little more than that... Don''t be shy~" She took a little red paint, rubbing a little heart right above the waist of her shorts... where the button above her fly was swiftly undone to accommodate. A heart... That gave him an idea. Xavier made an X beside the heart and used black and white to make a diamond, club and spade within the quadrants. Not something he expected anyone else to understand here but it gave him a smile. "No one said stay above the waist~" She giggled a bit, gently pushing his shoulder down to her thick, exposed thighs... And to that, he left a couple more handprints, this time in black and white respectively... and then gave Yang small slap on the ass for the trouble. "you''re not looking to get stripped already" He joked with a sly smile. "It''s early, let me get a few drinks first~" She laughed before grabbing his hand, using two fingers with a bit of red paint still wet on them to mark her lips, before leaving a kiss on his cheek. "Alright! Ready to cut that line?" "do rogues do it from behind?" He asked half-jokingly. The moment itself felt surreal to him, less than an hour ago he was anxious through the roof in no small part because of the awkward situation the four of them had found themselves in, but as Yang led him by the hand and he could hear the music pumping once again, the lingering fears in the back of his mind started to fade away before the spectacle that was this moment. Yang hummed a bit, stepping right up to the front of the line with Xavier in tow and putting a hand on the bouncer... Her hair flaring up and her eyes turning red for just a moment as she asked. "Remember me~? I got business with the boss again." The man at the front of the club, probably twice her size and even more her weight, turned white as a sheet and stepped aside to let her in... Xavier couldn''t help but laugh at that one, giving the bouncer a pat on the shoulder as they made their way past him. "what''d you do to him?" He asked with a grin, this was going good already. Inside it was louder than one could imagine. A cacophony of noise as individual beats coursed through every part of the building, bright lights were constantly changing in intensity and color alongside the music as accompaniment to the entire show laid out before them: People lining the dancefloor, each seeming to move independently yet somehow as a cohesive mesh of bodies, with the only respite being the handful of tables near the wall that, at this early hour, were barren as could be. Yang took his hand and walked him up to the bar... Where they were greeted by three figures. The first and largest among them was a man whose suit was more memorable than his face, being a bespoke combination of black and white with a pair of red shades hanging from his vest pocket. Flanking him on each side were a pair of twin ladies that each dressed in attire that was best described as a combination of ballet dresses and a 1920''s flapper. Especially the one that had the large feather upright in her hair. Xavier likewise couldn''t help but notice that a number of men in identical black suits with red shades and wide-brimmed hats were beginning to encircle them. Finally, when a slow moment in the song came up, the suited man that Xavier assumed was the owner of this place leaned in close, over the bar, and looked Yang dead in the eyes. "Hey Blondie." Yang nodded. "Junior." The two girls sneered, putting up their guard as the man identified as Junior retorted. "Guess you don''t know what banned means." Xavier''s eyes immediately widened with delight, and he cracked his knuckles with a wide smile. "ooh, may i?" "Noooope!" She immediately put her hand on Xavier''s chest. "We''re just here to have fun tonight, Junior. Pinky swear." She stuck her tongue out a bit. "Casual, paying customers tonight. I''ll look the other way about where the money actually goes... You let my man and me dance. Sound fair?" "Hmph..." He crossed his arms, looking Xavier over with no small amount of suspicion, though sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Three drink minimum. We''ll call it a truce." "ah damn, not starting off with my kind of fun," He muttered, knowing full well the mild complaint would be drowned in the sea of music that was picking up. "Sounds good!" She smiled, leaning on the bar and looking up at Xavier. "You wanna drink? I don''t mind if you do, but I''m not." She stretched a bit, her cleavage on full display for him, with a hand print he left in vibrant pink still visible. "we''ll just make good on that minimum... tequila sunrise, ...not getting drunk but hey," He couldn''t help but look around and take this place in. Security, alarms, exits, the sound system, anything that could be useful if there was ever a need to come back to this place. Or for the immediate moment as they were being watched. Junior seemed content with her response enough that the goons around here seemed to be backing down, returning to their posts. Yang, on the other hand, was entirely carefree about this ordeal. "You know what I like." She winked at Junior, who rolled his eyes. Serving them both what they asked for, and both looked rather similar... She tapped Xavier''s hip with hers, pulling out a cherry lolipop from the pocket of her shorts and stirring her drink with it before sucking on it. "Let''s hurry this up~" Despite cocktails being meant to be sipped, his went down in a few drinks before the glass touched the bar again. "one of three, let''s hit the floor" He took a deep breath, having long forgotten what getting drunk felt like, or dancing for that matter, without a frame of reference his first instinct would be to pull back but he knew that wasn''t an option once his date had his hand in hers. "That''s what I''m talking about." She Smiled, pulling her sucker out and downing her own drink before she popped it back in. "Hey Junior, put on my song!" Xavier laughed a bit. "you''ve got a song?" He joked, but failed to realize that she indeed literally had a song, and he had no idea what he was in for. Well, naturally in universe it wasn''t literally hers, but none the less... Things out on the floor were a little hard to keep track of. The place was loud, the lights were flashing, and people were crammed together like a waving ocean. Soon enough, Yang''s entire front side was pressed against his... It was... awkward, being put into the middle of what felt like a wave of flesh all around him, but as he saw Yang enjoying herself, his movements became less sluggish and awkward, at first he attempted to just pull off what some of the other guys in this crowd were doing, but Yang''s laughter seemed to indicate she thought it was a joke. However, in the midst of the moment, a bit of a realization struck Xavier... What was he afraid of? He couldn''t find a reason really, even if he looked ridiculous, he could at least start moving. His hands, arms, hips and shoulders, it was like practicing, but less restrictive. With the feeling of the beat and the warmth all around him, there was a moment of understanding. He was dancing! He was having fun! Then, more suddenly than he had anticipated, the crowd shifted and they were pressed together. He blushed hard, not only feeling her against him but the fact that now it was apparent he was a tad shorter with her in those shoes. Being this close got him an excellent view of her face... Since he was looking up at the moment. She was smiling huge, not the sort of cocky smug teasing smile she''d give off in battle or anything, just pure genuine fun! She gave a hip to a few other girls who wound up nearby, earning a kiss on the cheek from both of them as she laughed, before spinning around and gently taking his hands... putting them on her stomach as she pressed her back and butt against him... And when she pressed against him, she could certainly feel a reaction. Huh, maybe that''s why he didn''t want to wear shorts. Regardless, his hands on her hips, this felt less like dancing and more like... The thought disappeared as soon as it came, the song would change once again and with it, the momentum. Before long Yang would pull back once again and turn around, Xavier brought her closer in with his hands on her hips, which she swayed in time with the rhythm. The realization was gradual, but finally hit in full. The sensation flowing through them as they quickly changed partners, though only for a moment as they brought another couple together before Xavier took Yang''s hand once more. This was freedom, something he longed for, it was wonderful to be reminded of how it felt. After a moment he leans over and moves his hands up her body, not quite to her chest, but past and to her shoulders to pull her back up against him, if he wanted, he could''ve kissed her neck, and she could feel his hot breath against her. She was so close that he could almost hear her, but it was still faint due to the music. So she spoke loud and concisely. "DRINK?"Unauthorized content usage: if you discover this narrative on Amazon, report the violation. "please!" He responded fairly instantly, shifting his hands to hers and pulling back, still holding on as they went to the bar. He seemed to have calmed down rather quickly. "...too much?" He asked with a smile he didn''t even realize he had once they were at the bar and it was at least easier to hear without being directly under the speakers. Yang laughed. "You kidding? We''re just getting started!" She laughed, the drinks were already there for them before they reached the bar. Under normal circumstances Xavier would''ve been fairly suspicious of that, but Yang took to it without missing a beat, downing her drink in one go this time. "Ahh~! I got all this out in the open for a reason, you know~" She took his hands, putting them back on her stomach. Xavier would stand like that for a moment as his gaze went from her midriff up her body and slowly back to her face as he looked into her eyes. "just not sure if i''m dreaming about that..." It was corny, but not bad. He broke the contact for just a moment to remove the straw from, and subsequently down, his own drink. Admittedly it wasn''t one clean go like hers was, but that got her to giggle a bit. "Ready to get back out there? I''m not even sweating yet~" She laughed, shaking herself a bit to loosen up... Shaking her chest a good deal too. The song was changing once again now, something with a slow intro. Xavier noticed how the floor seemed to collectively calm down. One or two went to a nearby table while a few headed towards the bar, but as the rhythm picked back up, so did the movement. Something seemed familiar about this one... Regardless. "yeah... let''s go" He felt a bit more confident now. And warmer. But regardless, the feeling he had searched for was in his grasp, so as they hit the floor, they began to move in some disorganized synch with the crowd. Yang found a bit of an open spot near the corner of the dancefloor closest to the bar, where most people who were together with a partner seemed to be gathering. She made sure to get a little space between them so he could see her face as she swayed her hips in time to the music, lifting her arms up high, and dancing silently with her eyes closed and a smile. His own movement slowed down when he caught an eye full of her. This was... what he promised, that he''d be with her tonight. He wondered if this is what he meant to do but... Damn if it wasn''t fun. Xavier would place his hands on Yang''s hips as the climax seemed to ramp up a bit, he didn''t pull her closer, but followed her own rhythm, even finding himself singing a bit with it. Yang blushed just a little, bending her arms to rest them on her head as she swayed her hips more overtly before bending her knees more to get low... Really showing off for him now. Xavier''s hands followed her up as she went down and came to rest right below her breasts before he took them off of her body to remove his overshirt, feeling like showing off a bit himself. She opened her eyes once more to see just how well that tight top she picked out fit his toned body, Xavier now made his own smaller frame worked as a bit of footwork combined with his hips moving with far greater ease than before caught her undivided attention, despite how red his face was getting. "Oh really~?" She smirked a bit, taking off her jacket and tossing it at him as well, leaving her top exposed save for that bra piece she was wearing... Stepping closer in turn. And he followed suit, they weren''t touching any longer, but only barely, moving their hands and bodies as if daring one another to make the first move, their lips only scant centimeters apart for seconds at a time before Xavier finally bit the bullet and pulled her close, while he certainly couldn''t whisper, even a small shout would go unheard by anyone but her in all this noise. "i know what you''re doing..." "Yeah~?" She blushed a little, leaning in the same before pressing one of her legs in between his, she wrapped her arms around his shoulders so she could likewise speak in his ear. "One more drink, then hit the bathroom..?" Xavier nodded, and took Yang''s hand as they made their way back to the bar. The bartender must have been paying attention to them especially since he was already on it, making their individual cocktails. Once they could speak again somewhat normally, Xavier responded. "one more drink is fine but uh, ...i thought you wanted to sweat" Yang looked down briefly and bit her lip before stating. "There''s still time for that~ Sounds to me like you could use a bit of a break, though." Xavier shook his head a bit. "believe me i can keep going, this is nothing compared to training with- ...nevermind" Yang regarded that statement with a bit of suspicion, but even more amusement. "Fuck it then, shots this time!" She was smiling brightly. He opened his mouth to question since she didn''t seem to want any earlier, but... "whiskey, strong, trust me i''ll know" Was what came out. He couldn''t help but give the man who was obviously somewhat scared of Yang a cold eye and a sly smirk. Though he didn''t consider Yang being 18 at the time, this was as good a way as any to learn that being a student at a huntsman academy had its perks, including being able to buy liquor. Once the shots were poured and on the table, Xavier slid hers over and held his own up for a slight toast, saying a few words under his breath before downing his flawlessly and giving a satisfied sigh. "...nice burn, no water, i''m impressed," She shook her head, taking it just the same and following it with a deep breath. "Ah! Jeez, not going easy on me, huh~? One more!" This time Xavier couldn''t resist. "thought you weren''t about that tonight?" He chuckles a bit. "...it''ll sneak up on you if you''re not careful~" "Two shots won''t hurt! Just letting loose a little." She laughed, waving her hand a bit as she downed another, Xavier followed suit and they both couldn''t help but laugh a bit. She hadn''t had much, but hadn''t had much on her stomach either. Xavier, however, failed to realize how heavily they packed their cocktails here and was starting to feel a bit spacy. That certainly didn''t stop Yang. "Alright, let''s do this~" She grabbed his hand, turning around and dragging him towards the restroom on the other side of the bar... He almost pulled loose when they got to the floor but she... kept going? Where was she- ...the bathroom. He blushed hard, his cheeks were already rosy but this was something else. He felt almost paralyzed. She tugged him into the men''s room, all the way to the larger stall in the back... and dropped to her knees, licking her lips and tying her hair back. This... Was happening, wasn''t it? His head was spinning, he... knew it was coming but this was fast. He wanted to say... something, anything, but couldn''t find his voice as she went for his pants. She was keeping her cool well... definitely experienced like she''d told him a while ago. Pulling his shorts and underwear down with one tug to see what she was working with, and while Xavier wasn''t a monster by any means he was stiff and nervous. He grasped the railing and wanted to close his eyes, but couldn''t take his eyes off of her. Yang absolutely loved that, her own eyes turning red as she licked her lips seductively, the red paint having disappeared already. "Mmmn, yeah that''s what I like to see~" She giggled a bit as she opened wide, taking his cock into her mouth and wrapping her lips around his shaft about halfway down from the onset. And finally some kind of sound came out of him. "oh shit-" It was more of a quick and hushed breath than actual words but the message was clear as he almost involuntarily threw his head back. "Mmm..." She closed her eyes now, sliding her lips along his length with the greatest of ease... Her tongue soft and warm on his head as she pulled back, then relaxed her throat to take him to the base on the way down! Shit she wasn''t kidding. "...fuck remind me to show you chasing amy next, i''ve got a joke but you wouldn''t get it," Well, now he knew he was drunk. Though the reaction was better than he expected from what just left his mouth. Yang choked a little, pulling back with a bit of a wet smile. "D-dude you can''t make me laugh when i''m sucking your dick~!" She gave his abs a light smack. "why the hell not?" The words just came right out as he looked back down at her, caressing Yang''s cheek, and she would lean into it with a small laugh. "Cause you''ll make me choke, dummy..." She stuck her tongue out at him, then slipped him back into her mouth... Sliding her head back and forth harder and faster now... Moaning as she reached down with her free hand, lifting her top all the way off and letting her puppies out with a nice plap as they swung back against her chest. Finally... He saw them in their full glory. And they were every bit as impressive as he thought. Xavier gave a satisfied sigh and closes his eyes, letting her work her magic. She was being loud... Slurping and gagging a little as she took him to the base each and every time, relaxing her throat and letting him make a mess of her... Drool slipping down her chin and dripping onto her tits. Before long, he would reach down and put his hand on the back of her head. Now, he would start moving his hips a bit as she bobbed her head. "mmmmn~" She put her hands on the wall behind him to brace herself, slowing down to let him take control. He didn''t realize how fortunate he was since she was sensitive about her hair, but right now, fucking her face was too good of a sensation to turn down. It wouldn''t be too long before he felt his first load coming up. She looked up at him as he started thrusting, relaxing her throat as best she could to reeeally take it... He would pull back just enough for his tip to be right on her tongue when he finally came. And from all the days spent teasing, that first load was a big one, it wouldn''t be long before he pulled out and got the rest on her massive tits. "Ahhhn~" More experienced than he thought... She curled her tongue a bit to catch his whole load, closing her lips when he pulled back and lifting her tits a bit, puffing her chest out to let him reeeally paint them white. Swallowing loudly and obviously before opening her mouth again to show him it was gone. "Ah~ You taste great, Xavier~" "something something pineapple juice," He muttered before he could even think of stopping himself, admittedly he had to catch his breath for a moment before looking down at her and... Screw it. He put his hands under her arms and pulled her up to her feet before practically shoving her against the wall in a deep kiss. She may have tasted like him, he may have tasted like grenadine and whiskey, so it was even. "Mmn~!" She smiled brightly into the kiss, pushing her tongue into his mouth as she struggled against his pin... Wanting to wrestle a little to prove she was into this~ But also really trying her best not to press her jizz coated titties against his new crop top, or worse, bare chest. He honestly didn''t seem to care much as he immediately went for a handful of said titties. Before long, he''d break the kiss and begin kissing her neck. "E-easy there tiger~ Wh-whaddya say we head to a hotel and really let loose, hmmm~?" She panted a little. "not just yet..." Liquid courage on the brain gave him a bit more than he''d bargained for in the hormonal department. He''d leave a small mark with his teeth before whispering in her ear. "my turn to tease you~" Following those words, she received a single, hard spank. "HI THERE!" she blushed, covering her mouth a bit... That caught her by surprise, and was nice and hard! She laughed big afterwards, gently punching his shoulder. "You jeeeerrk~!" "that''s professor jerk to you, miss xiao-long~" He said off the top of his head before giving her another deep, passionate kiss. The two would stay embraced in a dance of tongues for a few blissful moments before he slowly pulled back. "...get cleaned up and we''ll make those rumors come true~" So, he could take control when he wanted. All it took was 8 shots of strong booze. Yang''s eyes narrowed as she once more licked her lips, this time in pure anticipation. "Oh god... I''ve got just the thing for you~" She giggled, kissing his cheek and scooting him out of their stall as she used some toilet paper to wipe the cum off her tits, and making sure she dressed back up properly. Xavier decided to follow suit and put the overshirt of this ridiculous outfit back on. The two would make their way over to the bar for one more drink before they left, this was... Something. She was smiling even brighter now. Fresh as a daisy and everyone could tell... She took another drink and headed out with him. "Your pick~ Been to a hotel here before?" Chapter 9: Roguish Tendencies (NSFW Warning) Chapter 9 After leaving the club, the two stumbled through the streets for a time, Xavier was staggering just a bit but they couldn''t help but laugh at the situation, it was shorter than either of them expected, but a better time as well. Two things, however, were abundantly clear rather quickly. The first was that they weren''t getting back to Beacon like this without getting into some serious shit, and second that the night air was getting cold and they needed somewhere to crash for the night. Once more, Yang posed the question of a hotel, and Xavier, after a moment''s consideration, would lead them towards a rather upscale place, somewhere that looked way too expensive to be in their budget. Xavier cracked his neck, slapped his cheeks a couple of times and ruffled up his hair a bit... Well, a bit more. "okay... time to show you my skillset..." "Oh yeah..?" She rolled her eyes a little bit, holding his hoodie. "And what''s that, big guy?" "we aren''t gonna pay," He said simply with a wry smile. Had the booze really gotten to his head? Yang''s expression of worry seemed to echo that thought. "Oh I''m not sure I like where this is going..." She pouted a little bit. "I can pay if you want." "don''t worry i''ve got this..." There went some of his fun, maybe it was the alcohol, or nostalgia, but still. He could have rented for the night, he could''ve just gone somewhere less opulent. Of course... That was an option for squares, and very few things could truly top a good old fashioned charisma check. "now, act bubbly and drunk, and ready to give the puppy eyes if need be, just follow my lead..." Xavier and Yang, arms around one another''s shoulders, made their way into the lobby and right up to the front counter. Before the receptionist had much time to react, Xavier blurted out in as much of a slurring, disjointed manner that he could: "h-honeymoon suite, mr and mrs... yanno, les jus- jus- ...get the keys," The receptionist blinked in surprise and stammered a bit before typing a bit into her terminal. "Um... Mr and Mrs. West, you''re a day early?" Xavier waved (or more accurately flopped) his hand dismissively. "is fine, f-fine right? jus... throw it on the card," "Um..." She hesitated. "We can''t exactly-" "issit empty?" He questioned, now fully looking up at her with an expression indicating a gradually building temper. The receptionist slowly nodded. "Y-yes sir but-" "then wassa harm? c''mon, do they pay you ''nuf to deal with my drink- drunk ass right now just needen our room?" The receptionist seemed to honestly consider that for a moment before going to get the keys, and wishing the two a happy honeymoon before Xavier and Yang kept up the act by staggering to the elevator. Once they had started up, Yang let go of a breath she didn''t know she had been holding, and started laughing. "Oh my god..." She was panting a little bit from the whole thing, but was glad to be inside once they arrived. "Y-you''re lucky no one''s in here!" "shhhh... i know what i''m doing, as long as we''re gone before housekeeping comes in the morning, we''ll be good..." Now that they had their moment alone, he pulled Yang into a deep kiss. They both enjoyed their little celebration while it could last, before long, however, Xavier seemed to have an idea "so, hot tub...?" "Fiiine... But i''m killing you if anyone shows up." It wasn''t dawn she was worried about. If they made it that far they''d be fine. "It''d be in the bathroom right?" "you know it," Xavier smiled, seeing that there was some lingering doubt in her expression. He chuckled a bit. "...hey, don''t be so worried," He would take both of his shirts off as he walked to the bathroom, stretching a bit to show off for her. "Hmph." She tried to relax a bit, taking her jacket off and tossing it on the huge bed... Taking her top off as well and discarding that, along with her shoes and socks. Aaaand her shorts. Leaving her in nothing but a pair of panties... Bright pink with a red kiss mark printed right on the front. Once they were in the bathroom, he would slip out of everything else but his glasses before starting up the jets on the tub and climbing in. And then he saw Yang, and the red came back to his cheeks. She smiled, posing a little for him. Lifting her arms to show off her tits. "Got your attention now, huh big guy~?" She giggled a bit, spotting a very special sprayer head in the tub... She didn''t get in yet, just leaning over the side looking at him with a smile. "So... tell me. Having a good time?" "let''s see... i''m somewhere i shouldn''t be with someone i shouldn''t be, and those happen to be a sweet hotel with a hot blonde, so, ...yep, i''d say i''m having a great time~" His voice was sweet, almost beckoning her to get closer. The buzz itself was starting to die down, but he knew fully well how much trouble they would''ve been in. That''s what made this better, another forgotten sensation returning it seemed. She laughed a little bit, slyly taking her panties off, but leaning over the edge of the tub so he couldn''t see below her waist... Holding them out towards him. "You''ve definitely earned these~" There was more than a trace of wetness in the bottom, considering. He twirled them around his finger for a moment before captchaloguing them. He motioned like it was a magic trick that they disappeared before he gestured for her to get in. She winked at him, pulling herself up and over the side, with a hand sneakily placed between her legs so he couldn''t get a good look until she was under the bubbly water... Her huge tits floating as she sank in. "Ahhh~ Fuck this actually feels really really good..." "there''s a reason i picked the honeymoon suite,¡± He placed an arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer. "i figure... we may as well loosen up a bit, after getting all worked up and sweaty~" That, and it was easy enough to pull the drunk newlywed act. She smiled, leaning in against him. "mmm~ Oh I know exactly what you mean~" She growled a little, leaning up to kiss his ear and mutter. "I''m gonna fuck you like an animal~" Xavier''s eyes widened, but he quickly snapped his head around to face her. Speechless for a moment, but he soon found the words. "you''re gonna fuck me, that''s rich...~" He turned so their lips met as they made eye contact. "by the time i''m done with you, you won''t be able to walk until class starts monday~" "I''d love to see you back that up~" She giggled, licking her lips. Almost wishing condoms didn''t exist... "you know the crazy shit i can do, you believe i can''t plow you into a mess~?" "mmmm, More just I''d love to be plowed into a mess, and the harder I tease you about it, the harder you''ll bring it." She laughed, shaking her head. "Man... Get the hell out of my tub, I''ve gotta get a surprise ready for you~" "what?" He wanted to question, but that devilish look she was giving said that he didn''t want to push his luck if he actually wanted said surprise. "...okay okay," He stood up right then and there, presenting his full body, full mast included, as he stepped out of the hot tub. "...want me to just stand here or...?" She licked her lips, leaning up and pulling him back to the edge of the tub for just a moment, before slipping her lips down to his base once more, pulling back to give him one good suck, sliding off with a pop. "Go dry off and get comfy, you''ll see when i come out~" And now she had the upper hand again... He walked back out into the suite and went to the big bed, she had led him on for so long now... She came out... in her Beacon academy uniform. The blazer on and unbuttoned. With her bowtie undone, and the top four buttons of her shirt open to show cleavage. No bra letting her nipples clearly be seen through the white top... Skirt and thigh highs on, but no shoes. "Evening, Professor~" After a moment''s pause, attempting to glean any thought that wasn''t just immediately pouncing on this, he focused on materializing a wooden ruler. Speaking of wood, did he actually grow a bit? "...miss xiao long, in for another uniform violation?" And now he was playing it straight again? "Hmmm~? But I''m just wearing it how you like it, Professor~" She bit her lip, swaying her hips as she stepped closer to him and his ruler... "Am I being a naughty girl~?" "young lady, i''ve never known you to stop..." He stood up now and circled her a couple of times, having to stop himself from lunging on her right that second. "this, short skirt," And he lifted it a bit with his ruler, tracing the outside of her thighs. "and it''s so hard to keep you in a top..." And likewise, the ruler traced around her exposed nipples. "Mmm~" She moaned a bit as her skirt rode up a bit, revealing a total lack of panties. And then again when his ruler traced around her top, her nipples grew hard at the rubbing and poking out. "Would it be better if i just... Took it all the way off~? Niiice and sloww~?" She bit her lip, grabbing the sides of her open blazer and tugging it side to side on her shoulders while shaking her tits, offering a striptease. "oh, it can only get better~" He said, standing back just a bit to watch. He almost wished he was still wearing something so he could do some of the same. "if you want a passing grade, i suggest earning some extra credit~" "Oh professor~! I hope you aren''t planning on making me earn it with that big, thick, haaard ruler of yours~" She giggled a bit, shaking her tits some more as she slid the blazer down her back and let it drop, swaying her hips to make her skirt flip up just a little, teasingly showing him more of her thighs. "that... is how we start," He traced the ruler down her back slowly now that it was exposed before enough was enough. He grasped her arm and pulled her over to the bed, making her bend over before spanking her with the ruler, once, twice, a few times in succession, just watching that ass bounce. "AH! MM! FUCK!" She yelped each and every time, her ass quickly turning a nice cherry red. "W-wow, o-okay..." "and with my catharsis out of the way," He tossed the ruler aside before spanking her once again with his hand, getting a handful of that ass before grasping her hips. "you''ve been a bad, bad girl, but i''m not done punishing you yet~" "Thank you, sir~" She blushed, hiding her face against the bed as he gave her a good grope... A bit of excitement dripped down her thighs from the spankings. She... really really liked that it seemed. "Oh~? What''s next for your naughty girl, professor~?'' "the best in corporal punishment~" And then she could feel his tip pressing against her, she had the experience, he was sure, that he didn''t have to go slow on her. He might have, just as a last tease, but everyone involved here was well beyond that. He pulled her back as he pushed forward, starting to fuck her quickly, forcefully, finally taking his prize. She was so soaked that he was able to slide all the way in with ease, the girl letting out a shuddering gasp as he suddenly hilted inside her. "O-Oh god! Ffffuck there it is, o-okay... Wowwww~" And he was just getting started. In what he wouldn''t know could have been a horrible mistake, he grasped her hair and pulled back, riding his sexy blonde schoolgirl for all she was worth, coming just shy of pounding her into the mattress. "Ahh!" She gulped, hurting a little, but deciding not to kill him. "N-not the hair, dude..." She gently warned, offering her arms backwards towards him for holds. He shrugged and let go, keeping his hands on her hips for a few moments before he grabbed her arms and did the same, fucking her rougher than before, each thrust of his hips was with considerable force. He was glad she wasn''t fragile because he wouldn''t be holding back for much longer. There was that sound again... The lovely symphony of skin slapping hard against skin... Yang moaning loud and openly now as he pounded her pussy raw... He hadn''t even considered anyone hearing them, this suite was a floor onto itself, but right now this was the moment to get lost in. He fucked her rougher, keeping her all to himself, he wasn''t going to stop until he couldn''t keep going. "Nnngh yeah baby that''s it~ Ooooh, fuck me~" She moaned nice and loud, a very, VERY talkative lay. "G-gonna cum inside me~? Huh~?" She tipped her neck back, looking him in the eye, albeit upside down. "keep milking my cock like that and you''ll get a treat~" He never specified exactly how but still. This was simple, rough, animalistic sex to use them both until they were spent, and he was going to make her cum first. That was not a very easy feat! She grit her teeth, holding herself back as best she could. "Ohhh my god, Professor~ G-give it to mee~ I-I''ve been so fucking dirty~" If she was going to keep that up, it was time for a dirty trick. Taking a deep, stable breath, he grabbed her wrists tighter than before, channeling his energy. All around his body, including deep inside of Yang, there was a warm, almost electric sensation as this aura of power began to form. "Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck..! I''m... NNNNGH! I-I''m not gonna cum! I''m a good girl!"" He gritted his teeth and quickly took both of her arms in one hand before he spanked her again, a resounding sound came from a hard smack that undoubtedly left a handprint. "you know you want to, give it to me~" With that smack, her back arched and her head was thrown back, her eyes rolling back a bit as she came HARD. Her pussy tightening and squeezing him as she came, milking him in return! He gritted his teeth and actually stopped for a moment, beginning to thrust again only as her orgasm began to wind down. While it was hard still, he wasn''t going nearly as fast. Now she was starting to sweat... But wasn''t nearly done yet. Still eager for more. "MMmmmn, give it to me professor~ P-punish me harder~" He was done talking now, it was time to punish this bitch. He pulled out and practically threw her onto the bed, getting her on all fours before fucking her doggystyle. His hands on her hips, he was giving it to her as hard as it was possible... And dammit he was getting close again. She arched her back like an absolute pro, presenting her cunt to him like a bitch in heat as he pounded down into her. "YES! TH-THANK YOU SIRRRR!!" Fuck. That finally got him. It only took a few more thrusts and he finally pulled out, pulling her hair aside to not get it dirty as he came all over her back and that ass. He reached out and brought his shirt back into his hand, wiping off his dick before starting to fuck her again. "Yesss, that''s it~ Fuuuck~" She giggled a bit when he came, then was caught off guard when he plunged his still hard dick back inside. "WHOA! S-STILL GOIN''!" She laughed a little, blushing dark. "Mmmmn, fuckin... fuuuuck~" "i don''t... leave a woman... unsatisfied~" He was beginning to breathe heavily now, despite being so pent up, this was going to be his third orgasm when it came, he would soon grasp her shoulders and force her down to the bed, practically fucking her into the mattress. "Mmmhmn~" She didn''t mind one bit. The mattress was heavenly soft and made for this sort of treatment. "F-feels soooo good~" She gulped. "C-cum insiiiiide~" She begged, teasing him a little bit. He spanked her again. "the only way that''s happening is if you do anal, i''m not about to get a schoolgirl pregnant~" She gulped. "I-I... Prefer anal..." She admitted... a little secret she hadn''t told anyone yet. Not that she was ever going to tell him that it was a secret. His thrusts slowed down for a moment, but, soon enough he would slide out of her, and his cock was absolutely slick enough to pull this off but... He still started slow for this one. "Oooooh, that''s good..." She grit her teeth, relaxing to accept him... "Fuuuuck dude th-thank you~" She was being genuine with that one. Seemed like she was too embarrassed to ever suggest anal on her own. Not that any boy her age would ever bring it up willingly either! Once he had gotten into a steady rhythm, he started fucking her faster... And faster... Getting into a stronger rhythm, more force as he was sure she was adjusting. From his experience it was better to build up to it to avoid pain. "Oh god... Oh god oh god oh god...." She whimpered... starting to melt. The strong moaning talkative Yang was gone, this was a blushy, whimpering puddle Yang... pressing her face into the pillow in an attempt to hide her shameful whines... sounding like an innocent puppy. And that just fed his ego and then some. He grasps her hips as he rides her hard, spanking her a few times throughout the next few moments to see how she reacted. She jerked hard with each slap, muttering the weakest, most genuine little. "Thank you..." every single time. Her back arching hard and her knees shaking under her now, threatening to give out...If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. "you''re a sassy little buttslut, i wish i''d realized sooner... actually, i think next time i''ll make you cum before doing this again, just so you''ll melt~" Now he was teasing her hard, leaning in and whispering it in her ear as he was getting closer to bottoming out inside of her. "mmmmmmmn~" She was focusing on breathing, taking it slow and steady... "S-so good... Soooo goooood~" Almost without a sound from her mouth, she started squirting! cumming harder than she did before! "Fffffffffuck... ooohhh yeah..." Aaaaaand that was what he needed. He came deep inside of her tight, bountiful booty, giving a quiet moan as he finally did. Covered in sweat and leaning so close, he slowly pulled out and rolled over next to her. "...fuck ...that ...was" "I-i know..." She took a deep breath, shaking her head. "God... Let... Hoo!" She laughed a bit, leaning over to kiss him. "I-i gotta get this nut out my butt. Then we''ll do some more, kay?" "yeah, yeah that sounds-... wait more?" He seemed to snap out of his haze with a look of genuine concern. "Oh yeah! We haven''t done half the stuff I wanted to do. Besides, it''s not even 1am yet!" She giggled a bit, stretching as cum leaked down the back of her thigh... "Too bad we can''t order any food..." "more..." He fell back on the bed and gave her a thumbs up as she went to wash herself. Shit, what the fuck did he get himself into? She didn''t plan on killing him, at least not yet... Taking a quick hot shower... "Hey, you could join me in here if you wanted you know!" "just... need a minute," He chuckled a bit before sitting up and, after she got into the shower, grabbed that faygo. It healed wounds and restored stamina, god willing it''d help him here. She hummed a little as she showered, starting to sing, as terrible as she was at it. "Cause baby~ It''s time to make up your miiiiiind~" Xavier decided that, in case of the need to vacate quickly, to gather up their clothes from around the room and decided to captchalogue them as a pile. Now all he had to do was wait... recover... god let it be enough time. Yang seemed to notice the general lull in the action, taking a deep breath and poking her head out of the bathroom. "Oh professor~ You''re not even gonna peep at me~?" "i''m willing to wait for a good thing," He smirked, she couldn''t tease him as bad this time around, now that he knew her weakness, and had fucked her that good, he had the advantage. "Hmph... And here I wanted to rub my soaking wet boobs all over you." "haha, tell me, do you want one round of shower sex or 2 more rounds out here?" That may have been more than he could deliver, dammit why did he have to talk shit. She laughed a little bit. "You drive a hard bargain Mr. Mathis... Two more out there." She dipped back into the bathroom, cleaning and drying off before coming back out in just a towel, getting his attention, then dropping it and blushing, trying to cover herself with her hands. "Ahhh, you pervert~!" "i''m the pervert? you''re the one chasing after older men~" He teased before holding out his hand, and she felt a force pull her towards him before he quickly pulled her onto the bed, pinning her arms down and kissing her deeply. She laughed a little, relaxing again. "Wanna relax a bit with some girl-on-top action~? Guys seem to love it when I do that.¡± He kisses her neck a bit and gropes her chest. "i wouldn''t mind that... question is... can you get on top?~" "Normally only if you wanted me too... Buuuuut~" She took a deep breath and started fighting against him, hoping that after three whole orgasms he''d be more tired than she was, her eyes turning red! Why the hell did her eyes just turn red? Was the super saiyan part of that song coming true? He actually looked worried now. "Nnngh~!" She started with her left side, bending her leg to lift his waist up, and then pushing up with her left arm... trying to tip him to the side to slip out from under and roll him! He could feel her aura now, he''d never seen someone channel it like this... Wait... "oh don''t tell me, are you actually pulling your semblance you fuckin cheater?" "RAH!" technically the pounding he''d given her was enough to give her the energy to roll him, now pinning him down to the bed with her hair... glowing and sparking a bit in addition. "Yeah~" "oh, oh i see, two can play at that game," He smirked as a white energy began to envelop him, his eyes even turning white. "starlight sonata-" And then it disappeared. "...oh, fuck, forgot," "Whoops~" She licked her lips, slowly lifting his legs over his head! He takes a deep breath before taking action and immediately grasping her thighs, not able to wrestle his way out of getting put on the bottom for once. Thankfully, even with the upper hand, she decided to keep it smart. reaching over to grab a condom off the bedside and put it on him, before positioning her hips. "A-acutally never done this one before~" She lifted one leg to get some thrusting going, finding her rhythm as she rode him. "Ahhhh, th-that''s it, i think!" This time he knew how Luna and Julie felt, gripping the sheets and holding on for dear life as she started to ride him like a damn horse. She smirked down at him adorably, loving the bit of power she had, really giving it her all as she mimicked a thrusting motion, holding onto his ankles as she gave it to him. "C''mon~ You like that~?" "still making up my mind i think" He really had no idea what he had just gotten himself into with this thing, but now all that was left was to ride it out. She nodded, taking it harder... letting her tits really bounce wildly for him! As a little treat for letting her take the top position for now. He took in the view for a few moments before just... Closing his eyes and letting her have control. This was... a brand new feeling for him. She was really getting tired in the legs... This was very new and very intense on her! But she was determined to ride it out for him, wanting him to give it a fair shot and see how it felt allll the way to the finish line... It would be a test of endurance for the both of them, and it was fortunate that he was wearing rubber because when it came, he didn''t have much in the way of warning. He threw his head back and gave a moan. "Whoa..." She felt the condom balloon inside her, gently pulling off and falling back on her ass, her legs turned to jelly from that... She was blushing, idly rubbing her clit as she looked at the bulging rubber which held his... fifth? orgasm of the day. "S-sooo... How was that?" ".................different, i think i know how-" Fortunately he could actually shut up, but regardless, he wasn''t as weak in the knees since he had the time to rest, which is why he rolled right back up on top of her and held her arms down. "as i recall... i said 2 rounds~" "Y-yeah..." She laughed a little. "Ahh, what do you want to do this time~? Where do you wanna finish~?" "want to? inside... but we''re not there yet" He joked before kissing her cheek. "but i''ll ask you this... wanna risk sleeping naked in a stolen suite and then have one in the morning? or try for a last one right now?" "Mmmn, same here." She laughed with him when he joked about finishing inside. "Hmm... God, I could go for another... but..." She grinned big. "How about... you wake me up with a surprise tomorrow morning~?" "deal~ give me just a second..." He managed to get himself up long enough to hit the lights before he fell down and practically passed out next to her. She laughed a little, kissing his cheek... and heading into the bathroom. She had a date with that special shower head attachment in the hot tub. "O-Ooooh yeah~" Eventually, she joined him in bed again, totally nude. The night passed, and another dream came to him. This time, of standing at the valley, looking up for the last time at the giant dragon rising up to stare him down as he stands on his quest bed. "...i''m ready ...do it" And with the flash of white light... He immediately bolted up, panting harshly and sweating. He looked around quickly before seeing the nude Yang next to him. "...still out?" Definitely still out... She was splayed out, snoring loudly as her tits flopped over to the sides since she was laying on her back... "guess that''s a plus..." He sighs, debating on getting a shower first but... Nah, no point when he''s just going to get sweaty again. He rolls over and strips the blankets away before starting to give her a bit of a massage, trailing his hands down her body, hitting some good spots before spreading her legs, and letting his tongue start the work. "Nngh..." She stirred just a little... weak, sleepy hands coming down to his hair, playing with it... She still wasn''t all the way up yet, though... Then it was time to break out some of the better moves. His tongue started dancing, making acrobatic movements to try and find her sweet spots, and now, teasing her clit with his fingers. That woke her up... Her back arching into his touch as she gently stroked his hair. "Ooooh, goddd... Oh Ruby~" Uh-oh. "wait fuckin what-" He immediately looked up with outright shock on his face. She looked down at him, the darkest red blush on her face she''d ever seen... "I-I WAS DREAMING! J-JUST A DREAM!" She panicked. "I SWEAR WE''VE NEVER... I-I WOULD NEVER-" He quickly put a hand over her mouth, giving her a gesture of silence as he listened. Had to make sure that little outburst didn''t cause anyone to come looking. She remembered where they were... But after a moment, there was nothing but silence, so she relaxed. "N-note to self, next time wake up before sex..." "apparently... happy dream turned wet?" He wondered aloud. She nodded firmly. "Y-yeah... It was um... We were back home playing hide and seek in the woods, I think. Then when she found me, I guess you started... God I''ve never been this embarrassed." She laughed. "...well, i could tell you a funny story to balance it out but i think it''d hurt my chances of getting a morning happy ending even more," She laughed a bit. "Nah, I''ll get you off no matter what dude, don''t even sweat." Now it was time to laugh a little. "...see i had this one friend, she got dumped by her girlfriend who she had since she was a kid, and, well, she became a slut... and by that i mean she literally got passed around all of our friends, well, one day my ex went to wake me up with a surprise like that and um... i said the wrong name too," "Ouch..." She laughed a little. "Definitely better to say the girlfriend''s name with the slut than the slut''s name with the girlfriend." She smiled. "Fucked her more than once then, I bet?" "always threesomes, julie loved luna,...hell they may have gotten together after i left but uh ...when your girlfriend at the time has a semblance that lets her control blood, saying the wrong name is not advisable" "Hey, don''t get any ideas about threesomes with me and Blake, kay?" She giggled, reaching over to grab his member, gently stroking it. "One last time~?" "i won''t pretend i hadn''t thought of it..." He chuckled and gave a soft sound before he grasped her shoulders and had her lay back. "which hole~?" "Whichever hole would make you cum the most~ You''ve had them all at this point, after all~" She smiled bright, relaxing into the bed. "point taken, hold on..." Fortunately one of the upsides of memorizing many lessons in chemistry is knowing how to lube up your body with space powers. He would flip her over and begin to massage her back, getting all nice and loose before deciding on what made her cum the most. "Mmm... Whoa you''re good at that~" She relaxed... her back was very hard and tense in many places... He actually... paused on penetration to give her a bit of an oily rubdown, making sure that the tension was relieved, giving her a few teasing kisses before finally, finally getting to it. She would feel him spread her cheeks before a slow start once again. "Oh no..." She whined a little, relaxing even farther. "You know my weakness now, huh~? God, it''s so embarrassing how I get when you hnnnnnn~" She pressed her face into the pillows again as he slid up her ass... And it didn''t take long for a few small movements of the hips to become deep thrusts, pounding her into the mattress once more. His own angle was a bit awkward but this was for her more than him. "Mmmhmmm~ Ooooh wow..." She panted a little, lifting her ass for him again as her pussy gratefully dripped juice all over the sheets. "i made you squirt last night, let''s see if we can''t give housekeeping a bigger mess to clean~" He spanked her as he finished his sentence, fucking her faster, his hot breath on her neck. She grit her teeth, trying not to call him an embarrassing pet name in her cock drunk stupor. "Th-thank you sir..." And he spanked her again. "good girl, i like it when you''re well behaved~" "Nnngh, you''re welcome, sir~" She pressed her face into the pillow hard now to quiet herself down. And he wouldn''t let up, keeping his beautiful blonde buttslut properly entertained with a harsh and thorough dicking. "that''s it, keep going~" And just as before... she squirted hard into the bed. Her pussy just gushing thick, slimy excitement as thanks for the treat. And he kept riding her still, worn out from last night regardless, but this would be his last one for awhile. It was slow to come around, which means she''d have to endure more past her first orgasm. "G-god... Please... Sir... Yes... Th-thank you sir, thank you s-sir~" She tried her best to shut up, but her stupid mouth just ran when he was in her ass. Fortunately for her brain, it didn''t take long for him to finish, filling that ass once again as she moaned and twitched under him. And then once more, he rolled over next to her. "Mmmmm..." She took a deep breath and let it out... laying down flat and... rubbing herself off just a little more. "Th-thanks for the date, Xavier~" "this was... your... idea..." He was panting between words, and it seemed like he was finally spent. "Yeahhh~" She got up, heading back to the shower... And this time around he would join her, keeping close and, since neither of them had clothes at the moment, he made a suggestion of "borrowing" a couple of those comfy-looking bathrobes. "You''re bad~" She giggled, washing up and rubbing all over him with her wet, naked body. Just as she promised. "part of my roguish charm, darling~" Unfortunately, all he had to give to her was a few kisses and a sensible massage since there was no way he could go another round, despite how worked up his body felt. She didn''t mind, giving him a half of a titjob and promising him one next time before drying off and putting on the bathrobe. "Time to go? I could spend the rest of the day in town I think." "yeah..." He sets the pile of clothes back out on the bed, getting dressed and waiting for her to do the same before floating them back down to the ground. "...it''s been fun, ...i haven''t done anything quite like that before, but i dunno if i''d party like this every week," "I used to, but I''ve got some more serious responsibility now." She laughed. "Thanks though~" She leaned up when they touched the ground, kissing his cheek as she walked away. "Best birthday ever~" "wha- ...today''s your birthday huh?" He paused, shaking his head a bit. "or was it yesterday... either way, glad i could help," He looks over towards the direction of Beacon. "...i should probably get moving, and hope your sister doesn''t actually try to kill me," She laughed. "Honestly, I don''t think she could if she tried." She shook her head, having changed back into her usual outfit. "Later dude!" He can''t help but smile as he makes his way back to Beacon, arriving with a spring in his step and an air of confidence... in his usual clothes. He had one helluva night, and this time didn''t care about rumors. ...Why don''t we see how long that lasts.
