 Realms Alight : Arias Odyssey Chapter 1

    Chapter 1: The Amulet''s Discovery


    In the calm village of Oakridge located in the middle of lush forests, Aria, a bright and spirited apprentice to the revered healer, gets a small vacation from her master. She decides to use it by walking outside and going into the woods. She stumbles upon an ancient amulet. Its pulsating glow captivates her, whispering secrets of forgotten worlds. Unaware of its deep significance, she wears it away, a mysterious treasure in her possession.


    Chapter 2: Portal to the Unknown Realm


    The dormant amulet, connected with the reality and the dreamlands. and was untouched for ages, suddenly ignites with a blinding luminosity, surrounding Aria in a fascinating vortex. Hurtling through a cosmic whirlwind, she emerges in an otherworldly realm¡ªa breathtaking tapestry of floating islands adorned with iridescent flora and fantastical creatures. Surprisingly, the amulet gives her a blue armor. In the midst of this landscape, she encounters Quill, a curious entity, whose playful attitude belies his ancient wisdom. Quill doesn''t have a face and was blue to gray. The bond between them formed quickly as Quill becomes both her confidant and guide through the bewildering views of this new place.


    Chapter 3: A Multiverse of Bonds and Battles


    While they were travelling around, Aria asks Quill what this place is. Quill answered :


    "These lands are beyond fiction. Being beyond fiction is how we were written. But not everyone can be beyond fiction. We are powerful enough to be. Our plot is going on beyond fiction, since our writer is real and can write us like this. From here, you can reach any fictional verse."


    While travelling, they meet a cosmic monster made out of dark energy. He calls himself ¡°The Cosmic Darkness¡±. He didn''t have an actual shape, he was a polymorph and he was fast. Aria thinks that it could be a good oppurtinity to see if her new armor has powers. She quickly asks Quill if it has some, but Quill couldn¡¯t answer the question because the monster catches Aria. The monster says that he was aiming to become stronger by absorbing Aria and Quill. But right after that, Quill says that the armor can absorb the powers of other entities. Aria absorbs the power of the monster In the first try. She then quickly jumps away. She thinks that the power could¡¯ve given her a boost in physical strength, so she punches the cosmic entity. After doing that, she hurts the monster with the punch. Seeing this, she starts punching continuously, killing the entity with its own energy. Quill says that the armor of the ¡°Ancient Amulet¡± is Boundless when absorbing power.


    Chapter 4: The real powers of the ''Ancient Amulet''


    Quill continues to explain how the ''Ancient Amulet'' works while they are walking Ion the path made for travelling between universes. He says;


    ¡°The Ancient Amulet is actually called ''The Astrorune'' and It was made by an boundless and Omnipotent entity named as ''Omnix''.¡±


    He then explains that there were even more powerful entities than Omnix and one of them killed Omnix. Nobody ever knew how the creature killed Omnix since he even made a amulet that was capable of absorbing the powers of entities boundlessly. But Quill has his own theory about the Incident. His theory was that: Omnix wasn¡¯t omnipresent, the cosmic entity was able to kill Omnix with his speed. He says that he thinks Aria should be the one to defeat the entity. He adds:


    ¡°Don¡¯t ever think going back home now. Those entities will follow your power.¡±


    Chapter 5: Journey to Barteria


    Aria and Quill continue to walk, but Aria doesn''t know where they were going. Aria asks Quill:


    ¡°Where are we going?¡±


    Quill replies:


    ¡°Since you are the new owner of The Astrorune, I want you to meet someone.¡±


    After walking for 5 minutes straight in silence, Quill shouts: ¡°Here we are!¡±


    Aria looks at Quill jumping to a human sized ball which was actually a universe. Aria was able to breathe in space because of Amulet¡¯s power. After some looking, Aria jumps there too, seeing the ball get bigger as she jumped inside. While they were at the space, Quill locates a planet named as ''Barteria''. After that, Quill opens a wormhole to Barteria, shocking Aria. Quill explains that opening wormholes is common so Aria will see a lot of wormholes. Aria who was still in shock, confirms with a nod. They both enter the wormhole and go to Barteria.


    Chapter 6: A new ally.


    After arriving at Barteria, Aria asks Quill why they are there. Quill explains that Omnix loved Barteria and they came there to meet Yuzfon, whose grand-grand-grand father was Omnix¡¯s friend. And, he adds that Yuzfon always says that he cant find the Astrorune but knows some things about it, like how to use it properly. Quill says that he hasn¡¯t gone there for a long time but he adds that he knows where Yuzfon lives. Even If the planet looks like it¡¯s only rock without anything else, there were some technology like 3D maps to show which city they were in. Quill says that Yuzfon always stays at Apexia, a big city at Barteria. After looking at the map, they see that they are in ¡°Merchropolis¡± which was a a city far away from Apexia.


    Aria asks:


    ¡°Hey Quill, why won¡¯t you open a wormhole?¡±


    Quill replies, ¡°Well I don¡¯t really think that is a good idea. If I do that, it could be dangerous since the city is not that far. I can hurt the space-time of this universe if i do that.¡±


    After thinking a little, Aria asks how Bartelianst travel from city to city.


    Quill says, ¡°They use vehicles made out of energy but it can melt normal humans. So we can¡¯t use that travelling method.¡±


    Aria thinks again and replies, ¡°I have an armor which was given to me by an Ancient Amulet named Astrorune which was made by an Omnipotent Entity, what could go wrong?¡±


    Quill then agrees and goes to ask a Barterian if he can buy a vehicle from him. The Barterian agrees for the price of pure energy. Quill says he can give some pure energy. He quickly takes some pure heat energy from space using a little wormhole and puts it Into a box that is made out of Aurorium which Is a Bartellian special metal. Then buys the car.


    Quill tells Aria to hop in the vehicle as Aria carefully sits in. Quill starts to drive the vehicle with the help of the 3D map. While Aria is looking outside to see the beautiful orange moon of Barteria. Quill sees her looking at the moon and starts explaining that the moon of Barteria has this orange color just like the sun of it. After a boring and long journey, they arrive at Apexia and find Yuzfon there quickly. Quill asks Yuzfon¡¯s bodyguards if they can talk with Yuzfon. Yuzfon¡¯s bodyguards let Aria and Quill talk with Yuzfon. Aria gets surprised by how Yuzfon looks. Aria thought of Yuzfon like a cosmic entity but he looked like everybody else. So he was orange with so much flesh in his body.

    They sit along with Yuzfon. Quill asks if Yuzfon can maybe teach Aria about the Amulet more than he himself can. Yuzfon accepts and asks what does Aria want to know about it. While Quill was gonna say, Aria jumps and asks if she can use the energy she absorbed in better ways than only a physical strenght buff. Yuzfon sits up, yawns and starts talking:


    ¡°I was searching for that amulet. I''m surprised you have it. But now that uou have it, I should answer your question. You can use this energy to make things, shoot beams and anything like that. Maybe you can even trade it for other things. That¡¯s up to you.¡±


    Quill says, ¡°Thank you Yuzfon. Thats all we wanted to know. Aria should train now." and stands up.


    But before they leave Aria asks¡°Is there a way we can communicate with you if we need to ask anything, Yuzfon? it''s not easy to come all this way to just ask you one question."


    Yuzfon thinks a bit and gives Aria a sphere before replying; ¡°You can use this sphere to call me. Just slowly hit it 2 times", giving Aria the sphere. Aria and Quill thank to Yuzfon once again and leave.


    Chapter 7: Long Way


    After leaving that place, they enter a wormhole Quill opens to a planet in another omniverse. Quill explains that they will train with monsters there if they can find one.


    Aria surprisedly asks, ¡°You have a farm of cosmic monsters?¡±


    Quill says that they will walk with hope of finding a powerful monster, preferably one that has a direct connection with some kind of powerful energy source. After they walk for 10 minutes without seeing one, Quill says ¡°It¡¯s boring. Let¡¯s try to find a new planet fillled with monsters.¡± Aria, who was bored, agrees with Quill and asks ¡°How will we find such powerful monsters in those planets?¡±


    Quill opens another wormhole, to a new rocky planet in a universe that is directly connected with the lands beyond fiction.


    Aria asks, ¡°Why did we come here? This place looks no diferrent.¡±


    Quill replies, ¡°This time, this universe is directly connected with the lands beyond fiction. There must be some powerful entities here.¡±


    They start searching for a monster there. After some time walking, Aria loses her hope of finding a monster. Quill tries to sense a presence near them but he can¡¯t sense any other than them. Quill loses his hope to find a monster too. Just at the time Quill raises his hands to open a wormhole, a big monster comes out of nowhere to grab Quill using his fingers. At first, Aria looks at the monster with a surprised expression. Then, she punches the monster with all of her power.


    After punching, she sees that her punches don¡¯t even affect the monster. The monster looks down, grabs Aria, and pulls her up. After he takes Quill and Aria near each other,


    Aria quietly asks, ¡°How couldn¡¯t you sense this monster?¡±


    Quill replies, ¡°I don¡¯t know. I think his dimensionality was higher than mine. He may be able to change his dimensionality and was 5 dimensional while I was trying to sense a presence.¡±


    Aria thinks about that maybe she can make a sword out of dark energy she absorbed before to cut the monsters hands. While that was happening, the monster was thinking of what to do. Knowing this was her chance, she tried to sense the dark energy inside her armor. She closed her eyes, thought about dark energy and made a sword in her imagination; moving her arms, designing a sword. She feels it, the dark energy! She quickly cuts the inside of the hand of the monster, escaping from the monsters hand. She throws her sword to the other hand of the monster, making the monster drop Quill.


    Aria makes another sword out of dark energy. While she thinks of where to throw the sword to, the monster throws a giant punch at the ground. Quill grabs the arm of Aria and dashes back. Quill quickly makes a sword out of dark energy, just like Aria did. Just as Aria is saying ¡°I didn¡¯t know you could do such a thing-¡± the monster throws another devastating attack. Both Quill and Aria gets thrown far back but both Aria and Quill don¡¯t take damage. Aria does get surprised before remembering she had an armor. While she was thinking that, the monster realizes that he can¡¯t deal damage to Aria easily, he launches his strongest attack to break the planet in half. Right in that moment, Aria makes a new sword but before she can even use it, Quill teleports them both away. Aria, who is surprised, asks Quill angrily why would he do such a thing.


    Quill calmly replies, ¡°We weren¡¯t even match for him. It was better for us to teleport away.¡±


    Aria asks, ¡°How will I train my power now? We lost a really good monster for training!¡±


    Quill replies, ¡°You meant dying?¡±


    After this answer, Aria stops talking, being unsatisfied and sad. After some time travelling, they find the perfect place for resting a bit. Before Quill teleports seats, Aria makes them from energy. Quill understands that Aria wants to train her power. To make Aria happy, he tells Aria that they can find a new area and monsters to train with. Even if only a little, it makes Aria happy.


    Aria asks Quill ¡°How do you control your powers too easily?¡±


    Quill waits a little and replies, ¡°It¡¯s not easy... I worked hard. I mean when I was first born of energy. A cosmic being made me to help him take over the lands beyond fiction. He was really strong, but not enogh to pass the guardians beyond the fiction. He taught me before I escaped. But I would¡¯ve never learned how to use my powers if someone else made me. He made me grow up, always wanting and getting more power. I never tried to get more powerful after I escaped from him.¡±


    After listening, Aria replies: ¡°If we can find a monster that can help me train, I wanna see your true potential.¡±


    Quill says, ¡°M-maybe later.¡±


    Aria gets confused but doesnt ask further as she sits. After some silent time, she gets sleepy and drifts into sleep. When she wakes up, she sees Quill awake meditating. She asks Quill if he didn¡¯t sleep all night and why he is meditating.


    Quill replies, ¡°I don¡¯t sleep. My body doesn¡¯t need that. I already have infinite stamina and I meditate so my power can be controlled. I don¡¯t want to lose my power. That¡¯s why I meditate in my free time.¡±


    After some silence, Aria asks where they will go.


    Quill replies, ¡°Nowhere, we are gonna wander this planet to find monsters. This planet looks perfect for monsters with normal to great powers.¡±


    Quill raises his hands to the sky, trying to feel a monster.


    After some time, he shouts, ¡°I found it!¡±


    He adds that this monster will be a great challenge for them, but working together, they can win against it. Aria accepts all excited. Aria asks if they will teleport or travel manually. Quill tells her they will travel manually to avoid any risks. They start going there. When they arrive there, they hide behind a rock to make a plan. Aria, who is still excited wants to attack the monster as soon as possible and asks Quill what the plan is.


    Quill says, ¡°You will distract him with your swords while I do a considerable amount of damage. Then, you will fire a beam of dark energy with the energy you got from the monster you first fought. Be careful. Dark energy is powerful, especially when there is a lot of it.¡±


    Aria nods her head, agreeing with the plan.


    She quickly makes little swords with her hands and throws them at the back of the giant monster. The monster quickly stops destroying the empty plain and starts running towards Aria. While this is happening, Quill goes behind the monster to not be seen, but the monster opens the eye on his back and sees Quill. Quill gets surprised encountring this and stops moving towards to monster. The monster suddenly stops to catch both of them extending his arms. The monster catches both of them before Aria cuts both of the hands of the monster with her swords. The monster screams before regenerating and makes limbs at his back to reach Aria and Quill from underground.


    Aria asks, ¡°Why didn¡¯t it extended his arm at first?¡±


    Quill replies ¡°Problably because it thought we could have dodged it. But it had no choice when it saw me. Whatever. Focus!¡±


    Quill sighs, finally having to show some real power since he has no choice. He half opens his hand to charge an explosion as strong as a hypernova, planing on killing the monster and protecting both himself and Aria with a forcefield but as he charges up the explosion, the floor begins shaking and the part where Aria is falls to ground. Then, a big tentacle grabs the monster, kills it and takes the dead body to the underground. Aria watches this shocked, thinking that it wouldn¡¯t be easy to defeat the monster they fought already but the owner of the tentacle was on a whole another level, it killed the monster with ease!


    Aria looks at the broken floor with a shocked expression on her face. She is shocked for some time, surprised that something like that happened.


    Quill says, ¡°We need to find what did that as soon as possible.¡±


    Aria gets even more shocked after hearing this.


    Aria asks, ¡°Are you out of your mind? We will get killed without even having a chance!¡±


    Quill stays silent for a moment thinking his answer until he finally speaks:


    ¡°Uh... uhhh... t-trust me we can... We uh have the potential!¡±


    Aria sighs and says, ¡°Give me 3 reasons why we should find it again?¡±


    Quill replies, ¡°Ok but I¡¯m gonna tell you one singular reason enough for us to: I sensed a energy In that monster. It was very familiar. I can only remember about that energy Is that it comes from somewhere I know and somewhere that won¡¯t hurt us. We need to find them to get some help in training you, get more information on your amulet and renew my memory.¡±


    Aria thinks a little and then says, ¡°Where do we go then?¡± with the relief of the things Quill said. Quill starts tracing the energy underground to find where it went. Quill walks and Aria follows though the way. Quill says ¡°It ends here. But... It can¡¯t be. It teleported. I think i was right."

    Chapter 8: A New Goal?


    Aria gets confused. She doesn''t know what Quill is talking about. She thinks that Quill said the energy was familiar. But she still can''t understand what he means. It''s obvious Quill is hiding something from Aria but what... Aria thought her goal was to train, get stronger and defeat the ''thing'' that killed Omnix long ago. She opens her mouth but Quill seems focused on tracing the monster, so she doesn''t interfere, not yet.


    Quill finally traces the energy he was looking for and puts his hands at the ground. After some seconds, he starts glow. Aria curiously asks why is he glowing.


    Quill replies, "I''m trying to understand where ''this thing'' has teleported. If I can, we will be able to follow it."


    Aria, still not so sure if they should follow ''the thing'' just stays silent. But Quill can easily understand that Aria is skeptical about following it. He decides to stay silent, knowing there will be no harm. After some seconds, he traces where ''the thing'' has teleported to and opens a wormhole. Aria turns her attention to the wormhole, waiting for Quill to enter firstly.


    Quill, sensing that Aria is waiting, enters the wormhole. Right after him, Aria enters and they find themselves in a empty and dark place. This place looks oddly familiar to Quill but it''s not hard to understand Aria is a bit nervous about the place. Suddenly, an entity with a golden colored armor gets in front of them, looking directly at Quill. It''s face was covered in his helmet, if he had one. Aria was already in a defensive stance, but Quill was pretty calm, waiting for the "guardian"s next move.


    For some time, no one moved or talked, but afterwards, Quill got his memory back and opened a black hole to kill the guardian.


    This guardian was the thing the new member candidates first needed to finish off to enter The Power Council.


    Aria just stands still, shocked but not because of Quills power. Because Quill killed ''The Guardian'' without it attacking them. She asks Quill why did he do that.


    Quill answers, "The first trial of entering The Power Council is to kill the guardian we just saw. The trial would''ve started if we moved, which we didn''t. I had to kill it. And when it comes to The Power Council. I will explain it to you when the time comes. Watch out! The next trial is speed test! We need to escape a black holes gravitional pull with only speed."


    Just some seconds later, a mass of energy starts to form at where the guardian was. Just a bit later, the energy starts to get denser as a black hole starts to form. Aria tries to absorb the energy but it makes a little explosion that catches Aria off-guard. The black hole fully forms right after that, nearly sucking Aria and Quill. Aria tries to absorb the gravitational waves while using the energy in her armor to stay at her place, trying to stick herself to the dark ground, and succeeds at doing both, saving both herself and Quill, but Quill moves faster than light to not get pulled, playing by the rules. After 10 seconds of the trial, the black holes closes as Quill gets on his knees, gesturing Aria to do the same. Aria looks at Quill and gets on her knees, facing the same way as Quill does.


    After some time, they see a light source, which is a light ball, and under it, there are 12 different entites. Six are sitting above the other six. They are clearly powerful. Especially the ones sitting above the others. Aria looks a bit intimidated but she calms herself down and turns to Quill.


    Aria asks, "Who are those? You know them... right?"


    Quill answers, "Yes, I do. The lower and higher power council. The name speaks for itself. They are pretty powerful. I was once-"


    A voice, coming from one of the creatures who are sitting below the others, cuts Quills speech and says, "Quill. We missed you. You had potential. Why did you leave the lower power council? We are now one entity less then we should be."


    Quill drifts his attention to the one speaking and says, "Firstly, I have my reasons to leave the council. I would have never stayed in a council who would ultimately fail in their goal. I don''t want to die, you know. Secondly, even if we reach our goal to take over fiction and ''the lands beyond fiction'', who was gonna counquer them. Our goals had so many holes. It was better for me to make myself goals alone. I''m surprised you all are still alive and the power council is still going."


    Another entity, one that is sitting below too starts talking : "Who is this weakling you brought here? Surprisingly, she has potential, but not power. That''s not enoug-"


    Both Quill and Aria gets surprised by the entity stopping talking, so they focus on his head, seeing a hand touching it with one finger. It''s the hand of one of the entities sitting above the others.


    A bit later, it starts talking : "Silence. You talked enough, and your words were empty."


    It stops talking and turns to Aria, "You have a lot of potential. Immesurably. Boundless. I am lost for words. You should train your power of course. I think that''s what you were doing before my fellow Lower Power Council member helped you?"


    Aria nods silently. She wants to learn more about this ''organization''. But she decides to wait until they leave their presence before asking Quill.


    The entity talking previously continues : "Good. We know some planets that are pretty powerful entities. Be careful. That place is not controlled by us. For protection, lend me your hand. I will give you a... ''tattoo''. You just need to press it to come back."


    The entity stretches out his hand to hold Arias hand, "Come on."


    Aria holds his hand, just as the entity touches at the back of her hand, both she and Quill get teleported to a planet with insanely big trees at different colors, the air changing color like an optic illusion. Aria looks at her hand, seeing the ''tattoo'' the entity was talking about. She wants to try it, but she holds herself, knowing she should only use it on emergencies.

    She turns to Quill to say : "So... Will you explain everything to me?"


    Quill sighs before replying : "Yes. Those were ''The Power Council''. So, those entities are trying to take over ''the lands beyond fiction''. But don''t get me wrong. I didn''t leave them because they want to take over ''the lands beyond fiction''. Everyone powerful tries that. That''s not something ''antagonist''. I left because they would ultimately lose. After I learned about Omnix and Astrorune, I understood how many other powerful beings must there be that I don''t know, and if I helped The Power Council, I might have been killed. I''m surprised the council is still going. But I still don''t see a bright future for them. But hey, at least they help you train your powers."


    Aria listens, genuinely interested. After Quill finishes talking, Aria starts talking : "Interesting. But you''re right. I still have to train if I want to kill the ''thing'' that killed Omnix. I wanna ask. Do you think it is searching for me?"


    Quill thinks for a moment before replying to her : "To be realistic, probably yes. But if we act optimistic, it might not be. Maybe it''s waiting a confrontation from you."


    Aria replies : "That''s a good idea! But if I try to escape, it will probably kill me right? That''s why I should train! Let''s go!"


    Chapter 9: The Training Arc


    Both Aria and Quill start walking in silence, both trying to catch a monster with their senses. A bit later, Arias senses catch something unfamiliar as Aria signals Quill to stop walking. Quill understands to situation and obeys, staying silent. As they were waiting for an attack, Quill makes energy orbs in his hands as Aria makes a sword with the energy in her armor. Jusdt as they were waiting, a humanoid creature with no texture except for color changing body, attacks them both. Aria blocks the attack but Quill doesn''t interfere. The monster sees an opening and uses one of his hands to attack Aria from sides. Aria headbuts the attack and absorbs the energy (momentum) of it. She then pushes the monster back to think of a new movement. Aria then concentrates to the place and senses an energy source, then understands that it''s the planet itself. Right then, the monster attacks again. Aria quickly makes a sword and blocks the attack. She tries to absorb the energy but... she fails? She then decides to make a big sphere of the energy in her armor to block the energy from the planet. She then tries to cut one arm of the monster to see if her plan works. When she cuts the arm of the monster, the monster fails to regenerate. Seeing that her plan worked, she attacks the monster with everything she got. Beams, swords, spears, cuts of energy... the monster who got injured pretty badly, tries to leave the sphere of energy that Aria made to be able to regenerate but Aria blocks the way. Now that the connection between the planet and the monster got destroyed, she tries to absorb the monsters


    energy again. And she succeeds this time.


    While absorbing, she feels like she hears something : "There are more of us..."


    Aria gets a chill. She turns to Quill and asks what is the meaning of this.


    Quill replies : "That''s pretty obvious. The monster said there are more of them. While you were absorbing the monster, the monster told you there are more of them. We should be careful."


    Aria nods and continues walking. They both walk for a while before sensing the same thing as before. Understanding this is another monster, Aria holds her sword tightly, waiting for a confrontation. She decides to go to some open area to be able to fight easily. She finds an open place and goes to there, Quill following her calmly. They stop, getting attacked immediately. Aria cuts the monster in half, but the monster regenerates immediately. Aria quickly dashes back a bit, but not too much so she can make an energy field to cut the connection of the monster with the planet, so it won''t be able to regenerate but she fails. She tries again, only to fail once again. She gets puzzled a bit, just when the monster attacks. She barely blocks it and falls to the ground, the monster on top of her. She starts thinking of what to do in such a situation. Just then, Quill interferes, making a blast of energy that knocks the entity away. Aria gets up, just to get attacked by the monster again. She then blocks it, cuts the monster in half and punches it with the energy she has got in the armor. She then understands that her energy in the armor has ran out. She tries to concentrate, trying to absorb energy from the planet itself, the energy source of the monsters. She fails to concentrate at the first try, because of the monster attacking her again. She knows that all she can do for now is block the attacks with her sword or tank them with her armor. Knowing that tanking them with her armor will just make her lose her concentration to the planet, she decides to block the attack without giving much attention. Then she gives an opening because she is not giving attention. The monster, who saw the opening, attacks her from the opening, making her lose concentration. She decides to give one last attack before concentrating so she consecutively slashes the monster, dashes back and starts concentrating. She succeeds this time, absorbing the energy of the planet. She uses the new energy she got to destroy the monster with its own energy.


    She then turns to Quill and says : "Hey Quill. I think I trained enough of energy-based enemies. I think I should start training against entities that have physical based attacks."


    She closes her eyes while saying the second sentence. When she opens her eyes back, she finds both of them in the same dark room. She shyly turns back to see The Power Council again.


    The creature that sent Aria to the planet she just came from starts talking: "So you want to train against entities with physical based attacks? I know somewhere you can train against those kinds of entities, too. But then I want you to go investigate the death of Omnix with Quill. Which I think was your goal. I think his killer is the only barrier between us and the domination of ''the lands beyond fiction''."


    Before Aria can answer, both she and Quill get sent to a planet. She decides not to waste time by getting surprised. Instead, she starts searching some monster to kill. She senses that there is no open energy source in the planet that is like the source in the previous planet. She understands her only weapon in this fight will be the energy she already has. She makes sure Quill is following before continuing. They encounter a monster, but Aria seems so sure of herself. She punches it with a fraction of her power, killing it. She then sees there are some giants that didn''t notice her yet. Aria sees that they are far away so she starts running towards there. Quill follows her slowly, not running like Aria does. When Aria reaches there, she gets noticed by one of the giants. But then she gets a wash of relief as she sees that those giants don''t fight as groups. Just as she wasn''t paying much attention, the giant that saw her punches the ground, making the ground break and Aria fall. But It doesn''t end there. A shockwave releases from the punch. Aria gets sent back from the shockwave, but it doesn''t seem to affect Quill. Aria ignores that Quill doesn''t get affected and dashes again. Before the monster can punch the ground again, Aria jumps to the air. She then makes a giant beam and shoots it to the giant, destroying one of its arms before getting hit directly. She gets a bit of pain, but nothing more since she absorbs most of the enegy of the attack, but not all because of not being ready. She then uses the energy she has in her armor to make a shockwave to quickly get back to ground. She then makes a sword, jumps into air, makes a shockwave to get closer. The giant puts his remaining hand for defense. Aria gets to right, cuts the arm, jumps from the arm with the help of the energy in her armor, and cuts the giants neck, killing it. Quill claps his hands to congratulate Aria. Just as the dead giant was falling to the ground, she jumps to land. Just as she was landing, she sees that a giant was very close to her. The giant saw them fight and came to kill Aria. Quill dashes towards her to take her off the way of the giants punch. Aria blinks, and when she opens her eyes, she sees fire. The giant was on fire... She lands, Quill next to her. They both see a figure inside the flames, walking towards them.

 Realms Alight: Arias Odyssey Chapter 3

    Quill puts a hand infront of Aria upon seeing the figure. Aria, who is focused on the figure enough to not realize the hand of Quill, doesn''t interfere him. She makes a sword and waits at a defensive stance. Quill sees this and makes an energy ball in his free hand before getting to defensive stance like Aria. Both tensed up, see the figure getting out of the flames with a visible smile. He seems like a human, but with an eye mask.


    He slowly approaches them and stops at a reasonable distance before talking: "Hello you two. That girl seemed to be in trouble so I told to myself that I should help her."


    Aria waits a bit before starting to talk: "T-thank you but who are you? You seem like a human but no human I saw can walk in flames. I think you made those flames? Well, no human can make flames either."


    The figure starts laughing softly before replying with a laid-back look and voice: "My real name is Retfar but everyone I know calls me ''Masked Elements'' because I can control and absorb elements with the help of this mask. Very cool, right? I know, I know..."


    Aria gets excited and replies: "You can control elements? That''s very cool! But... there is no water here. You can''t use water here?"


    Retfar replies with a chuckle: "Of course I can. I can make elements as I wish."


    Quill stays silent, trying to give a meaning to the ''infinite'' feeling he gets from Retfar. Is it because of the mask? It must be that. It''s the same feeling he gets from Aria. Is this mask boundless too?


    Retfar continues: "I have trained myself so I am pretty good at controlling elements."


    He stays silent for a bit before continuing: *What''s that armor girl... You don''t seem to be burning of those flames. Don''t you think it''s a bit odd?"


    Aria snaps back and answers: "Oh yes... This armor makes me able to control and absorb energy. I''m pretty new at this, but it''s cool right?"


    Retfar replies: "To test that, we should have a fight, don''t you think?"


    Aria looks puzzled for a bit but then nods her head hesitantly while saying : "O-ok... Why not?"


    Retfar starts going back, saying: "Perfect! Let''s see what you''ve got!" before stopping in a small distance.


    Aria nods and walks back too.


    Retfar starts counting down: "5, 4, 1! Start!"


    Aria gets puzzled a bit but after seeing Retfar has disappeared, she quickly makes a sword and dashes back. Meanwhile, Quill watches in a distance, making sure nothing goes off-hand. Aria sees Retfar at her right, quickly blocking his punch with her hands which sends her flying a bit but she lands on her feet. She decides to start running towards Retfar to make sure he doesn''t surprise attack her. She starts running and catches up to Retfars dashing. She quickly delivers a punch as Retfar dodges by jumping to air.


    He lands on his feet before saying: "Not bad, I''ll give you that. You are pretty fast. But you should calculate your attacks and analyze the situation. You just punched me, hoping it will hit me. But let''s get serious, shall we?"


    He dashes to Aria to deliver a punch. Just as Aria dodges it, she sees that flames start forming at the ground as the flames take up a big place Aria can land. Aria starts absorbing the heat around her as she lands. Just as she gets distracted by absorbing heat, Retfar punches her from behind. Just as she gets close to landing, Retfar traps her in a big ice mass. Aria uses the heat she just absorbed to melt the ice. She gets curious if she can only used absorbed energy or can control the energy around her too. She tries to manipulate the flames around her to shoot them to Retfar, and it works! Retfar gets surprised by that but jumps to the air and makes water to extunguish the flames.


    Retfar lands on the ground gracefully and says: "Well... That was pretty good. I see you can control the heat around you huh? That''s pretty good I guess. That means I should start trying harder, doesn''t it?"


    He chuckles darkly and disappears before reappearing behind Aria. Aria sees this and jumps to the air. Seeing this, Retfar stopms on the ground as some small volcanoes appear, forcing Aria to get defensive at air. When she lands, she gets punched by Retfar. Retfar quickly get behind Aria who is flying with the force of the punch to make a big beam of flames. Aria absorbs the energy and lands on the ground before making a beam from the energy she has in her armor which gets dodged by Retfar, who is smirking. Aria gets a bit annoyed but controls herself not to get angry. She quickly dashes to him to give him a punch, which gets dodged by Retfar at the last time. Aria decides to make an explosion from her fist using the energy in her armor, as she does so. The explosion knocks Retfar down as Aria approaches him, towering over him with a smirk.


    Aria asks Retfar: "Give up or continue?"


    Retfar replies with a chuckle: "What does giving up mean?"


    Aria replies with a bigger smirk: "Playing rough huh?"


    Retfar replies: "If you don''t go for the kill, you can''t win against me."


    After saying this, he makes a big explosion of fire that makes them both fly up into the air. Both of them land gracefully, both filled with confidence. They both disappear and clash at the air one time, before Aria holds Retfars arm and throws him to the ground hardly. Retfar lands on his body but Aria lands on her feet. Retfar quickly recovers with a frown and makes a fire tornado around Aria. Aria quickly absorbs the heat and makes an explosion to destroy the tornado as she succeeds to do so. She lands, a determined look with a smirk on her face. It''s obvious she wants to win this spar, but who wouldn''t? Retfar looks with a determined face too. Retfar decides to finish this and jumps up to make a giant dragon from flames. He starts falling, carrying the dragon with himself. When she lands, Aria gets caught to the dragon because of the size of it.     She dashes to him, appearing behind him and giving him no time to escape before pinning him down with her elbow on his back: "I win! Haha! I knew I would win!"


    Retfar chuckles, turning his head slightly to look up at Aria who is preventing him from using elements attacks by automatically absorbing the energy around her.


    Retfar: "Good one, girl. You win. You can let me get up now. I didn''t ask for your name did I?"


    Aria lets him go and takes a step back: "You didn''t ask, and I forgot to tell it. Sorry for that. My name is Aria."


    Retfar gets up and dusts himself: "Yeah. Nice to meet you Aria. You are the first human I met since I wore this mask. Becomes pretty boring you know."


    He then turns to Quill and approacher him, raising his hand for a shake with Quill: "Hello... Aria''s friend I guess. Nice to meet you. Can I learn your name?"


    Quill looks at the hand before gripping it for a shake: "My name is Quill. I have to admit, you caught my attention with that mask. An item... Is this the reason you appear in this realm?"


    Retfar replies with a smirk, letting go of Quill''s hand: "Oh yes! How did you know?"


    Quill doesn''t break eye contact: "That''s the same way Aria got here. An item. I guess it''s the only way of entering this realm unless you are written here originally."


    Retfar nods like he understands what Quill says: "Yes, yes the thing you said. At first, I missed the world I used to live in. But now I rarely remember there."


    Quill asks: "How long have you be-"


    Aria cuts Quills sentence: "You came from the same place at me? That explains how you look like a human! You are a human!"


    Retfar replies: "Well of course I am. And yes, we probably come from the same place."


    Quill cuts the conversation: "Let''s talk about this somewhere we can sit and relax."


    Both Aria and Retfar nod as Quill makes a wormhole to a cliff at the same planet before saying: "We shouldn''t exit this planet. We still have to go find the one that killed Omnix."


    Retfar looks confused but just enters the wormhole, sitting at the edge of the cliff as both Aria and Quill do the same.


    Quill continues to talk: "So. I have two questions. First is how long have you been here?"


    Retfar replies: "I have been here for... a small pause at least 2 years. Next question?"


    Aria listens carefully, her mind on the world she left behind. She feels something strange. She wants to go back but... she is living a fantasy life at "the lands beyond fiction".


    As Aria is deeply in thought, Quill asks the second question he has: "When you first wore that mask, where did you appear to be? Can you explain the place you appeared to be in? Your surroundings?"


    Retfar replies with his casual tone: "Very simple, a city. A very modern one at that. But not only that, the people there were really curious about my eye mask. After I learned to control my elemental powers, I joined their military. They were fighting some kinds of aliens across the universe, so was I. They were talking about some possibilities and infinities or something."


    Just as Retfar opens his mouth to continue talking, Quill shuts him an says: "I got the info I needed to understand where were you."


    Her curiousity piqued, Aria snaps out of her thoughts to listen to Quill as he continues: "I heard from the Power Council that we are in a giant structure called Tier 0. Well, let me explain what I know. Tier 0 is made of 2 layers. Layer 1 and Layer 2. We are supposed to be in Layer 2 right now. I think Retfar was at Layer 1 when he first came. That ''infinities'' they were talking about was probably about the universe they were in. Considering they are not able to escape their universes, they were probably talking about the inside of the universe. Every idea and concept exists in each universe in Layer 1 as I heard from The Power Council."


    Retfar nods his head, acting like he understands: "Yeah, yeah... What''s your comment on this, Aria?"


    Aria starts thinking before talking: "I think it''s fascinating. But I have a question for you, Retfar."


    Retfar seems curious: "Go on, I''m curious what can you ask."


    Aria continues her question: "So... If the universe is infinite, how did you exit the universe?"


    Retfar answers: "Well, I already told you that the city I was in was pretty modern, so was the nation behind it. They already had some space vehicles that crosses the universe in an instant, even if it''s infinite. Their only problem was something they call ''access''. They said their vehicles and everything inside just completely disappears after they exit the universe."


    Quill stands up: "Anyways, we have a mission with Aria. Are you coming, Retfar?"


    Retfar jumps from where he was sitting before shouting: "Ha! What''s the mission? Lead the way!"


    Aria slowly gets up from the ground with a smile: "We need to find and defeat what killed Omnix."


    Retfar gets curious: "Who is this Omnix you are talking about?"


    Aria, showing her amulet, says: "It''s the person who made this amulet."


    Retfar nods as Quill starts thinking what to do first before a member of The Power Council, a glowing white figure with 4 arms and giant tentacles at his back, appears next to them before saying: "Who is this new person you are bringing to your mission with you?"


    Quill calmly answers: "He is a strong asset that might help us in our mission."


    The member of The Power Council disappears. Quill quickly explains the situation to Retfar to let him know what is watching them in the mission. Retfar understands and nods.


    Aria, thinking she is being pushed to the side says: "Alright everyone, we need to make a plan to find what killed Omnix and defeat it ourselves. This won''t be easy but I think I have a plan."


    After making sure both Quill and Retfar are listening, Aria continues: "First, we need to understand what we''re dealing with. If it killed Omnix, it must be fully sentient and should have a goal right? Otherwise, it would be one sided at Omnix''s favor. We should think what could be his goal."


    Quill stays silent before speaking up: "That''s not a plan. A plan needs to have enough information to be fully formed. You are asking for us to gather information. But anyways, got the point. Whatever that was... It could have wanted two things. The Astrorune, or something Omnix had but we didn''t know about."


    Aria replies: "Now that''s disturbing. Maybe Omnix sent The Astrorune to our world in a hurry? Maybe it was supposed to be here?"


    Retfar jumps in: "Look everyone. If his goal was the amulet, it is probably searching for Aria right now. It should be smart, right? That means we need to be smarter. We should find it first, but without it understanding we found it."


    Quill nods: "Retfar is right. We need to find it first."


    Aria smiles: "Let''s get this done then!"
