    Solba: Muscular man with bulging muscles. He look like in his middle ages. He is tough on the outsite but soft in the inside.


    Klendel: Looks in his middle ages. He also the second most muscular among the group, only behind Solba. He also the most kind looking, keeping his smile all the time since the beginning


    Tirso: Just like Carson he has a fit body. Looking like at his late twenties. He has a straight posture like a soldier and has a serious expression on his face


    Troy: He has a slim body and looks like in his late twenties. Out of all the people in the group, he has the most simple look


    Wendy: Just like her brother she also has a red hair and she look like in her mid twenties. Her beauty is above average, beautiful in normal people''s view but pales in comparison to those rich daughters of merchant and nobles. But she has those huge chest to compete


    Amelia: Just like Wendy she is also looks like in her mid twenties. She is also slightly more beautiful than Wendy and her chest is neither big nor small. Amelia also don''t look like her brother Tirso.

 1 Chapter 1: Waking Up

    Leon slowly open his eyes and what greets him is the roof with many holes. He checks the surrounding to see if there''s someone else in this room. It seems to be a small house that is crudely made.


    Slowly getting up out of the dirty bed, Leon check the house again and judge that there seem to be no one living in this house except him. Leon check his body if there is a problem but it seems that there''s nothing wrong.


    "Hehe"


    "HAHAHA!, I have survive that fall! It seems that luck was on my side.


    "To the person that dare to plot against, just wait for my return and I will turn you into a honey comb with all the bullet of my gun."


    "HAHAHA"


    Leon keeps on laughing until his stomach hurts. Suddenly Leon notice that his voice seems different and sounds child-like. Observing his body again, his skin is smooth with a bit of roughness and his height seem to be a bit smaller than his previous 6 feet height and his body seems malnourished that it did not eat healthy food for a month.


    "Why did I get smaller and my voice sounds like that of a juvenile? Did my head hit something during the fall, so hard that my height got shorter and my voice got younger?"


    "And where in the hell am I?"


    As Leon murmured and ask himself, he suddenly heard a voice in his head.

    Surprise hearing the answer to his question. Leon suddenly feel that his head hurt a little and its getting worse by the second. All of a sudden flashes of memory that do not belong to him appear in his head.


    Leon now understand why his height got smaller,his voice seems younger and why his body is malnourished. Because this body wasn''t his to begin with, this body belong to a boy named Razlov.


    Razlov is an orphan from the slums of port town Sanloris. Sanloris is a town in the territory of Viscount Garbel. Razlov was previously a member of a local gang, until the higher member of the gang got into a huge trouble, because of mistakenly kidnapping the son of an army Commander of the kingdom of Kleindez because they thought it was a son of a foreign merchant. Because of the incident of kidnapping, the whole gang was hunted down by the army. Razlov and a group of members that got the same age as him manage to escape the hunt by separating in different direction.


    Razlov only got away by stealing a boat and travel to this island. After arriving at the island Razlov search the whole island to see if there is somebody else that is living here. After a 4 day of searching the island with no result Razlov concluded that the island is inhabited and only wild animals seem to living in this island. Concluding that there is no inhabiting or using the island as resting point Razlov decided to stay in this island to lay low before returning to Sanloris.


    But that wouldn''t happen anymore because after 10 month of staying on the island Razlov got sick and due to no one else is living on this island Razlov has to do all the thing that needs to be done from getting the food he eat, getting the firewood so he wouldn''t freeze at night to taking care of himself. But that only worsen his condition, his fever got worse that he couldn''t move a muscle and because he could not move his body he could not go out to procure some food to eat, making his body weak. After 5 days of struggling Razlov finally succumb to his fate and died.


    "Sigh, what tragedy the life of the previous owner of this body live a life that is full of downs and no ups. And looks like he is not bad person, even though he is a member of local gang he still trying to be an upright person not to be influence by those of around him."


    "It look like his character got influence by the old man that pick him up when he was only a child and who was also a member of the gang before the old man died because of sickness."


    (Author note: Although Razlov and his foster grandpa are member of the gang they are only doing errands.)


    "It seem i have transmigrated into this body after I died from my car falling of the cliff. That means I will not be able to exact my revenge to those bastard that plotted against me."


    "Sigh"


    Forgetting the voice in his head Leon slowly walk out of the house. Facing the house of a few meters is a forest that seems to be untouched for hundred years like the virgin forest of Amazon on earth. At the back of the house is a cliff facing the sea.


    Leon slowly walk to the back of the house. He look at the vast sea blankly staring at it as he reminisces of his previous life.


    "Although my previous life is full of ups and downs there are also many happy and enjoyable moments that I found it funny just remembering it."


    Reminiscing of his previous life about his school life to entering the army, getting caught cheating on the act by his girlfriends not just once but many times and remembering all those life and death moments in some of the mission he participated as a special ops agent.


    "Now that i think about it I have never really been faithful to any of my girlfriends. I guess I will really never be content with just one girl and be faithful to her, guess I''m what you call a natural cheater or maybe playboy."


    After reminiscing Leon thoughts got back on track at the current situation.


    "I guess I have now to take in my new identity as Razlov. As of today I am now Razlov."


    Grrrrr


    As Razlov was making a vow to himself his stomach suddenly grumble. Razlov suddenly remember that this body hasn''t eaten anything in the days that the previous owner of the body was sick.


    "Hmm, the time seems already 8-9 am in morning. From the previous owner memories there are many fruit trees in the forest that are edible. I guess fruits will do for now because my body is still weak and cant hunt any wild animals in the forest."


    Razlov walk to the forest to find edible fruits, after 30 minutes of walking in forest Razlov obtain many edible fruits and a pot of water.


    After eating breakfast Razlov search the whole house to something useful for daily life. After searching for 5 minutes he find a dagger that previous owner owned, other than the two pots that is used for cooking and container for water and a little bag of salt there is nothing else in the house.


    "First I need to fix this house seen I will be living here until my body gets becomes strong again then I will go to the port town of Sanloris for any information that is useful."


    Razlov started fixing the house that will be his temporary home with the little strength he gain from eating fruits. It wasn''t until late afternoon that he finish all that needs to be fix.


    As Razlov return from picking up fruit for his supper when he sat down on the bed he suddenly thought ''I think forgotten something, something important, its in the tip of my tongue but I cant remember what is it''

 2 Chapter 2: The Forgotten Voice

    As Razlov finish his supper and getting ready to go to bed since there is nothing else to do in this run down little house. He remember again that he seems to be forgetting something that is important. And as he lay on the bed slowly closing his eyes.


    Razlov suddenly sit up shock.


    "Ah! I remember now, the voice, the voice in my head this morning before I suddenly receive an influx of memories. I wonder what it is?"


    {Ding! Answering host question.}

    Shock at the answer that he get, Razlov jaw''s drop that an egg can fit into his mouth.


    After a while of recovering from the shock that he receive, Razlov recovered from the shock.


    "Does that mean i have those ''system thing'' of the MC from the novel that I read?"


    "Wait!, before that, system am I still on Earth?"


    As Razlov ask this question you will be able to discern from his voice that he isn''t expecting much from the answer that he will get. Razlov don''t expect much, but he keep his hands tight onto that little bit of hope that this world is still Earth.

    ''Sigh, I know it, even though there are many evidence stating that this world is not Earth I still cling to that little bit of hope that it''s not true. I guess when things got to shove I still can''t let go.''


    Deep in his thought''s, Razlov keep staring at the empty space looking like he was thinking something when his mind is really empty.


    Recovering from his daze state, Razlov suddenly ask the question that he deem to be important.


    "System tell me what is your purpose or the one that sends me here."


    When Razlov ask this question he knew that most likely he will not get the answer that he want to get, since this question is the most important. From the novel that he read in his past life, he most likely get a vague answer or the system will just not answer his question.

    Knowing already the result of his question Razlov ask again.


    "Then what is level of authorization that I need to get the info?"

    "OH MY GOD!! that is a level that basically know nothing. Like those cannon fodder in the army that will to go to war knowing nothing why did in the first place there is a war!"


    Depressed from the sudden revelation, Razlov couldn''t help but resent the system for the treatment that he is receiving. Razlov depression couldn''t be help''t, he an Ex- Spec ops agent and one of the best of at that, got a level 0 authorization, anyone that who in his shoes will definitely be like him right now, depressed.


    Recovering from the depression that he just experience.

    Seeing the transparent screen that is being displayed it seems he can''t really do anything right now than to recuperate to his optimal state. But what surprise him the most was the other two stats name that is being displayed.

    "Then what about warrior force? I understand about the magic force but I cant seem to understand what a warrior force is."


    {Host can imagine warrior force as a ''Qi energy'' in ''DB'' or from Chinese martial artist trying to obtain.}

    As Razlov heard the explanation of the system he couldn''t help imagining himself trying to fire off an energy wave like that of DB characters. ''How wonderful would that be if I could release "Ka** Ha*e Ha.'' Razlov thought in his heart.


    Suddenly Razlov notice that he din''t still know how he currently looks. He din''t bother seeing his current face when he was fetching water in the stream.


    "Now that i think about I din''t get to see how I look when I was fetching for water. Do my current look still as handsome as I was in my previous life? I wish it was still as handsome or maybe much more handsome than my previous life."


    "System can you show me a 3D image of myself?"

    What displayed in from of him is 3D image of himself naked. He finally know how thin his body right now that it almost look like a skeleton. His hair is silver with the shade of gray almost looking like thehair of Dante of DMC. The face is so handsome that it is already comparable to Hollywood most handsome male actor, it would have been perfect face if not for the almost skeleton like body. This may have been the reason why the previous owner of the body is being neglected because of his physique and the dirt due to not having taken a bath properly.


    And Oh My God, this boy is so gifted that it almost seems stupid that he din''t used it. His little brother is basically a beast, it is double the size of an average one and also 1.5 times thicker. The only one that can compare to this is those black guys back on Earth.


    "I guess I can''t find any complain of my new body its just need to bulk up a little take a few bath and dress up cleanly. System is there anyway for me speed up the recovery of my physical condition?"

    Razlov stunned of the answer that he receive din''t recover for a while. After contemplating the answer that the system gave him seems reasonable because Razlov really din''t bother to ask.


    As he recover from his stunned state he notice that it is already late in the night.


    "Hmm. I think it''s already time to sleep since this matter could not me explain in a single day. I better go to sleep and dig in deeper tomorrow."


    And Razlov slowly fell asleep.

 3 Chapter 3: Recovering

    Early in the morning after sleeping the whole night. Razlov slowly got up from bed, he has many thing to do on this day. First he must recover to his optimal state before drinking the Body Strengthening Potion to aid his recovery. Second is to know all the function of the system that is available to him right now.


    He is very curios what the other function of the system. Just the Item Shop is already to big of a help for him. Wondering if he could buy any of the items from Earth.


    At the thought crossed his mind, he immediately rejected it since most of the item that he wants are using electricity. In the first place even if can buy generator for electricity it will surely be cheap.


    Thinking up to this point, he stop all the unnecessary thoughts. Since he will know it in the future and the system will be going nowhere anyway.


    As Razlov got out of the house, inhaling the fresh air of the morning breeze. He started doing a morning excise, to regulate the flow blood and that his body will not be shock from work that he will be doing this day.


    After the working up, Razlov walk to the forest for fruits as breakfast.


    Walking in the forest in normal pace, Razlov ask the system for re-briefing of the things that the system told him at night.


    "System does the Item Shop function need money or virtual credit to make transaction?"


    {Yes, the Item Shop needs Contribution Points(CP) to purchase items.}


    "So how can I get CP?"


    {Host needs to exchange real-time money(RTM) to CP}

    Hearing the rate of exchange. Razlov keep walking in daze due to the rate of exchange that he heard. Not even noticing that there is a root branch on his pathway making trip over it, falling head first.

    Grimacing in pain that he receive from falling. Razlov slowly got up from the ground while ignoring the pain.


    "System are you sure your not joking? Because if its a joke its not funny at all."

    Hearing the confirmation that the system was not joking, the corner of Razlov mouth couldn''t help but twitched. Razlov bitterly smile at the current situation and gave out a small sigh.


    Razlov couldn''t be at what he is feeling right now. Because from the memories of the past Razlov 1 gold coin is equivalent to 10 big silver coins, 1 big silver coin is equivalent to 10 silver coins and 1 silver coin is equivalent to 100 bronze coins.


    It''s like playing an online game from your phone and you want to buy a premium item. But the exchange rate is 100 dollar per 1 virtual credit. Anyone who see this kind exchange rate could not help but to curse at the developers or company that created the game until you spit out all of your saliva making your throat dry.


    Ignoring the current dilemma. Razlov slowly make his way onto the forest to procure for his food to eat for the day.


    After eating his breakfast, Razlov started making his plan while he''s staying in the island and what to do. Razlov used his experience while he was in survival training back at training camp for Spec ops agent.


    He first started making different kind of traps, from trap for wild animals to fishes in the sea. Then he started renovating the small house so that in case of attack from the wild animals like wolves or any other ferocious animals he will have a sturdy house to defend.


    Razlov finish making the house more sturdy. Noticing that its already almost late in the afternoon. He check if the traps that he place has any catch while also picking up dry wood for source of fire.


    Walking in the forest to check the traps that he make this morning. Razlov could not help feeling expectant that there will be a catch. Checking all the traps that he sets, Razlov got disappointed immediately because he got zero catch. Making his way to sea bank where he put the fish trap that he make. Arriving at the sea bank and seeing that the trap he set has a catch, Razlov could not help smiling widely for the delicious food that his gonna eat this night.


    After Razlov finish his supper which is compose of 2 roasted fish the size of an adult palm and fruits.


    He started checking Item Shop function of the system. To see if he could find a way to acquire CP other than exchanging it for money.


    "System show me the Item Shop now."

    Seeing the transparent screen that is showing in front of him with big words ''Item Shop'' in it. Browsing the contents of the Item Shop without even bothering to check it. Razlov just keep fiddling on the screen.

    Seeing the potion that will help him recover faster, Razlov couldn''t help but be agitated. This potion will aid his recovery faster making him excited.


    "System is there anyway for me to obtain CP other than exchanging for money? Because right now from what I can see is I have zero CP."


    Razlov sees in the corner where the sign CP is in has only ''0'' in it.


    {There is no other way than exchanging for money}

    Razlov could not reveling a wide smile after hearing it.


    "Then why can''t I see right now on this screen if I have a CP?"


    {Because host physical state is currently weak. The system decided to delay all the host starters package that should have receive in the beginning.}

    Heaving a sigh of relief, Razlov was finally able to relax. Since he didn''t need to worry about the issue of Body Strengthening Potion. He will be worry free from recuperating to his optimal state this coming days.


    After his worry was wash away, Razlov decided that it''s already time for him to sleep. Since there are still things needs to do when he wakes up tomorrow.

    His body have already recover to an acceptable state. Since everyday he has a sumptuous meal from all the meat and fruits that he acquire from traps and the forest.


    After staying for 6 days on the island. Razlov will finally be able to leave it. That got Razlov excited about this new world that he will get see from now on. Wondering what kind of world is it out there, will there be magicians or maybe wizards that fire off magic while saying ''FIRE BALL'' or warriors that is releasing energy wave like that of DB characters.


    ''Hehehe'', Razlov laugh in his heart.

 4 Chapter 4: Starter Package 1

    Razlov excitement could not be contain anymore. He immediately started preparing himself for drinking the potion that will aid his recovery.


    On the night of the 6th days on the island, Razlov eat a sumptuous meal, took a hot bath for the first time since arriving in this world and sleep early while feeling restless.

    Early morning of the 7th day.


    Razlov, full of energy and excited got up from the bed as soon as he woke up. Doing his early routine from the past 6 days from morning exercise, to procuring his breakfast and eating the food he procure.


    At 8-9 am of morning.


    After preparing himself, Razlov could not wait anymore. He immediately order the system to open the Item Shop menu.


    "Show me the Body Strengthening Potion"

    Looking at the screen that is showing a typical potion bottle from the games. Razlov check the price of the potion, just to confirm how much he will be spending.

    Upon seeing the price of the potion, he could not help himself having a pained expression of his face. From what the previous Razlov know, commoners with a family of 3 will have a luxurious life for 2 month at the maximum.


    Hesitating for a second. Razlov finally made up his mind. Pressing the ''Purchase'' button with a determined face.

    Feeling like a big load got off his shoulder, Razlov heave a sigh relief. Suddenly, he notice that there is something that he find it completely different.


    "System what is this inventory that you mentioned just now? Is it similar to those game like inventory function?"

    Wearing a wide smile on his face. Razlov couldn''t be more happy at the confirmation he just inquired. He straighten himself up, getting rid of the excitement he felt.


    "Is there any limitation of what kinds of items does the inventory can store?"


    {Yes}

If the item that is being store is more than 2 square meter the inventory function will not be able to store the item. There are certain exception to this rule, if the item is more than 2 square meter but the length, height or width of the item is not (for example: wooden log, cabinet, table, bed, sofa chair and other similar objects) the system will convert the remaining length, height or width into mass}

    Razlov finally gets the gist of the Inventory function of the system.

    After understanding how to access the inventory. Razlov said the word ''Inventory'' and what appear before him is a transparent screen with 30 slots with 1 of them occupied and the rest is empty.


    "I guess its time for me to use the potion and recover to my optimum state."


    Pressing the potion on the screen and choosing the ''Use'' option on the screen. What appeared before him was a typical potion bottle with yellowish liquid inside it.


    ''Now that I look at it, isn''t this potion seems to me, look like a urine'' said in his heart


    "System is this really the Body Strengthening Potion that you said?"

    Realizing that maybe he drunk a bottle of someones urine. Razlov face getting ugly by the second that his face is already getting dark as a result.

    "System is the urine ''cough'' I mean potion that I just purchased was made from this world, right!?"

    "GOOD!! I''m gonna put a bullet in the skull of the one who made that bottle of urine!"


    Finish at his cursing to the one who made the potion. Razlov suddenly remember his days at Special Force training camp. Where they are force to drink their own urine for in cases of emergency situation. After just drinking a glass of urine, he already felt like puking the whole thing out. After that event, he promise to himself that he will no longer drink urine, only when there''s nothing left that he will drink it for the sake of survival.


    Razlov suddenly felt like his body is on fire and his heart rate is so fast that he felt like all the blood in his body will go out his eyes, mouth and ears. Feeling the pain all over his body, Razlov could not help but be nervous, what if he died from exploding due to the effect of the urine. That would not be funny at all, he will be a laughing stock to those who have already died, because he is the only one that died due to urine.


    After 1-2 minutes has past, the pain finally subsided until it was gone. Covered in sweat, Razlov felt relief that he did not die because of urine.

    As soon as Razlov heard the notice, he check his body to see if there any different. His body now look like a the body of a healthy person, it can even be compared to those male fashion models back on earth.

    Stunned at what he heard. He completely forgot about this particular message, said to him by the system. Because all his focus was on recovering to his optimum state that he never even bother to do a follow up regarding the detail of the said package.

    Razlov can just imagine when he is wearing this clothes in towns or cities. Wearing would obviously make you eye catching like telling them that ''Hey! look! my clothes are more dashing than any of your clothes''.


    Razlov stop asking why is it all military related, because there a big possibility that he will get the same answer. He started checking all items in his inventory, seeing that only 1 empty slot, Razlov could not help but let out a worry smile.


    "I guess some item will be of use immediately like the water bottle, pouch bag, combat boots, combat uniform and T-shirt. With that, I think I will have additional of 5-7 empty slot so that I can use it to put food and other important things."


    Suddenly, Razlov notice the item ''Privilege'' token. Clicking the icon of the token, he get an info but not detailed.


    "System what is this token used for?"

    Hearing the system explanation. Razlov could not help but ask.


    "System, does that mean that I will be a drill instructor for this boot camp that is going to be build?"

    Razlov stop asking question, because he knew that he will not be able to get a concrete details of the thing regarding what the system told him. He proceed to checking the other item in the inventory. Taking out 1 set of combat uniform (woodland), a T-shirt, water bottle, pouch bag, desert eagle and 2 extra magazine, combat boots and leg holster for desert eagle. He notice that there seem to be missing from the items that he should have receive.

    Looking at what the system told him. There really is a ''300 gold'' sign in it, additionally there is all for big silver, silver, and bronze.


    Razlov take out the token, since he''s going build anyway he should build it as soon as possible since it will be able to help him in his training.

    A 3D image was displayed before him. Razlov could see that the island seems bigger than what he know. There is a mountain range in the northeast edge part of the island which is the source of water from the stream where he fetch water. The water forks into 3 different paths 1 to southwest, another is directly to the south, and the other is to southeast which is the path that is nearest to the place Razlov currently living in. The whole island looks like a reverse pentagon with a few rough edges and the pointed partis facing south with a slight tilt to the southeast direction.


    The island is mostly compose of forest. With a percentage of maybe 50-60% in whole, there are plains in the island with a 20-25%, and the mountain range in the northeast with 10-15% of the island.

    "System what is the size of the island''s land area?"

    "Its as big as a County or a Municipality. This kind of size can hold a total of more than 10,000 of population."


    Focusing again on where he would place the Army Boot Camp. Razlov keep studying the map in front of him. After 20 minutes of observing the map, he finally decided where to place it.


    "Since the previous Razlov came from the east, I should put it also in the east. It should be near a water source but not to close and should relatively also close to sea."

    Razlov put the camp north of where he is currently living. The camp is being build almost east, just a few tens of meters and it will already be in the east direction. It is only a tens of meters from the stream that is running to southeast and maybe 30-40 meters from the sea. The camp was place in the middle of the forest, north of it just a few tens of meters is a plain with 200-230 square meters.


    Razlov sets up the whole camp, the whole has a size of 300 square meters. Like playing a strategy game, he first separate the barracks into 5 different places, placing them on the edge of the camp, 2 in the south and southeast edge of the camp, 2 southeast which is near the east edge and 1 in the northeast that is near east direction. He made a gate facing directly in the east direction where the sea is, and also made a road to the sea. Southwest of the camp, Razlov put the firing range in there while south will act as a buffer in case of miss fire for the barracks in the southeast. Northwest of the camp will be the obstacle course. In the center of the camp will be the Officers office and resting house, east of the office is the Armory, in the west of it will be the cafeteria, and north of the office will be the house for the staff. There is also a gate in the west leading to the stream. The whole camp will be fenced with barbed wire and the armory will have a concrete fence as thick as the length of a ruler. He also puts watchtower in different corners of the camp.


    Satisfied with all his work. Razlov finally stop and started to prepare for his dinner since for 3 hours, he had been busy with recovering to his optimum state with the aid of the urine ''cough'' potion and tidying up all items the system had given him and setting up the camp.

 6 Chapter 6: Army Boot Camp

    Early morning on the 8th day of staying on the island. Razlov got up already wearing his combat uniform though on partially since only the pants is what he is wearing matching it with the T-shirt.


    He really look different from his looks the day before, since the clothes that he is wearing in the past was leftover by the previous Razlov which are made from linen. He look really dashing today with his combat uniform on, like those soldier in the base camp that is on standby.


    Doing all the things he usually do and finishing his breakfast. Razlov check the progress of the build completion of the camp.


    "System how''s the progress of the camp?"


    {The camp''s building progress is already complete with all the necessary things have been met}


    "Then does that mean, I can already start living in the camp?"


    {Yes}


    After hearing the system confirmation. Razlov started packing his thing, he leave behind the thing that the previous Razlov use to used. He also erected a makeshift gravestone by piling up stones.


    Razlov keep staring at the gravestone for awhile.


    ''In this life, I will make sure to live to the fullest to have no regrets'' He swears in his heart.


    ''Now that I thought of it, is there really people who have no regrets? I think people will still have regrets even if they can reincarnate themselves. I''m really stupid, making that cliche vow just now.'' mocking himself while he is smiling wryly.


    Arriving at the camp. Razlov was really surprise at the scale of the camp. The barracks is made out of woods like a lodge house and complete with portable toilet just outside it. There is also the firing range that filled with house with no roof to see what the trainees are doing. If you see the urban combat field from above, you will see it as almost like a compound with concrete, bricks, and wooden houses.


    Walking on the concrete road, Razlov finally arrive at the office building where he will be staying from now on. Razlov directly walk to the back of the office where his house is. This house was specially selected by himself, it is actually a small mansion with 5 meters width, 10 meters length and it has 2 storey floor with basement.


    After settling in, of course he choose the master bedroom as his room. Walking out of his mansion, he started to thoroughly check all the facilities in the camp.


    "System, I notice that all the lighting in the facilities all need to use electricity. What''s the use of it if we don''t have a source of electricity itself?"


    {Host don''t need to worry. The system provided a solar panel for providing the required use of electricity in the camp}


    "Why didn''t I see any solar panel when I was walking around?"


    {The solar panel is in the roof of the mansion and the office building. The system choose the 2 facilities because its in the center of the camp since there''s no obstruction in the vicinity of the facilities}


    Razlov nodded in satisfaction at what the system told him. But there another issue that he is concerned about.


    "System what about water? I can see that we have a water tower in there but, how do we get water?"


    {The water tower has a steel pipe that is connected to an underground water source which is also connected to a water pump. But the water pump should be manually operated. The water tower also has only a maximum capacity of 500 liters and will not be able to provide all the needs of the camp. The system suggest that the water in the tower should only be use in the kitchen, toilets, drinking faucets and for simple bath, for washing of clothes and for taking a thorough bath it should be done in the stream near the camp}


    "Why manually? when we have electricity here in the camp."


    {Because the solar panel would not be able to supply the necessary amount of electricity to operate an electric powered pump. The solar panel can only support lighting the camp and other devices with low electricity cost}


    He finally understand the systems reasons regarding about the water issue. He continue his observation of the camp until he arrive at the vicinity of the fully fortified armory. He himself is the one who design this fortification since he knew that this armory will be one his important storage for his resources.


    "System where are the keys to the armory and to different buildings in the camp?"

    Razlov walk to the office building to get the keys of the armory. Arriving at the office building, there are 5 office rooms in the building, 2 small office rooms in each side of the office hall and 1 big office room in the center which is his own personal office, he then check each of the small office rooms. Every office rooms has a complete equipment, from office tables with drawers and chairs, file cabinets, and type writers that was modified to the letters of this world. He then went to his office at center of the office building.


    Razlov nodded his head in satisfaction at sight of his office. Just like the other office in the building, his office also has office table with drawers and a executive office chair, file cabinets, and a type writer additionally there is also sofa set and a phonograph with a lot of 20th century classic song.


    Glancing around the room. He notice that there is a key rack on the wall with names and the key to different facilities in the camp, but he cannot find the keys to the armory. Razlov went to his table, there he notice a metal briefcase with a key on top of it. Opening the briefcase with the key, he could see words, namely gate, entrance, equipment, ammunition and weapons. Each words have a designated 2 keys to it, 1 for main use and the other is for spare use. Razlov pick all the keys from the briefcase except for the spare keys, he put the briefcase to lowest drawer in his table then went out to the armory.


    At the armory, Razlov could see the 5 meters tall with a foot thick concrete fence and 2 guard towers outside the gate; 1 each side. Passing through gate and he glance at the basketball arena size armory in front of him. Entering, he could see that armory is divided in 2 division and 1 division is divided into 2 parts; 1 for equipment room and for ammunition depot.


    In the equipment room, Razlov could see that its already filled with all the equipment to be issued to trainees. Razlov also check the weapons and ammunition depot, the weapons depot has the biggest space in the armory while the ammunition depot has the thickest wall for safety purposes; but the rooms are empty right now.


    Razlov ended his inspection on the armory and other building and facilities in the camp. He used an entire day to finish his inspection to familiarized himself with the camp and ended his day at his mansion, since tomorrow will be the start of training to improve his stamina and endurance.

 7 Chapter 7: First Mission

    Razlov has already stayed on the island for a month now. Staying at the island has been very fulfilling to him, since he has been training and always exhausted to bother about other things. But during the past few days he''s starting to feel bored, since there''s no one to talk to except for the system that talks like a machine.


    But that ends now. Its now time for him to say goodbye to the island. Leaving means the start of a new journey.

    Razlov couldn''t help but gave shout due to his excitement. Although he could''ve leave the island without the mission, he could not waste his time training to improve his stamina and endurance just to see the world and he has no reason too. The world will not be going anywhere anyway so he bitterly trained to his satisfaction.


    Razlov check the mission on the ''Mission List'' menu of the system. Wondering what kind of mission the system has issued.

    Razlov hesitated for awhile if he should start the mission right away or delay this. But in the end, Razlov choose to delay it. Since he still need to complete his training, even though he is excited of leaving the island. As a soldier, he must control his action; discipline is a must for a soldier even to himself.


    For the rest of that day, Razlov started preparing the equipment for the upcoming trainees and staffs. Taking out thing in the armory, like uniforms, tactical bags, water bottles, pouch bags, T-shirts, combat boots, blankets and pillows. Razlov put those things in the office to make it easier for him. Having inventory feature make carrying things easier for him.


    Razlov stayed at the island for another 10 days training. He ran around inside the camp, doing push ups, sit ups and squats; he did this in the morning till noon. After dinner he will went to the obstacle course field to train every part of his body muscles and a sense of balance; he will do this whole afternoon. At late afternoon he will go to the water tower to manually use water pump, take a hot bath for relaxation, prepare for dinner and sleep.


    This is Razlov daily routine a whole month now.

    Early morning the next day.


    Finished at his preparations. Razlov in his navy combat uniform matching it with a cap and aviator sunglasses with the handgun desert eagle in his leg holster, he looks really cool and dashing. On his belt is the water bottles that is filled with water and pouch bag filled with rations he purchase from the Item Shop. Which cost him a total of 10 CP. Razlov din''t bring out his bag since he has inventory to use; the bag will only be use in front of people since it will be inconvenient if thing suddenly pop up out of nowhere. So the inventory will only be use when there no one around.


    He check his equipment again to make sure everything is ready.


    "Equipment check, equipment in the inventory check and I''m good to go!"


    Razlov got out of his mansion and went to the training field in front of the office building. Then he open the ''Mission List'' menu.


    Opening the ''Mission List'' menu, selecting ''Wolf Pack'' mission, pressing Start button.

    While the system was announcing the start of the mission. Razlov look up at the sky, raise his hands, and shout to hide his excitement while saying.

    After waiting for a while, Razlov notice that there''s nothing seems to be happening. What he expect dint come like there nothing will come in the first place.


    "System shouldn''t I be teleported to a nearby town or city?"

    Razlov''s face was covered red due to embarrassment. If there was other people in the camp he would have dug hole to hide in it. Good thing though that there''s not, because it would be really awkward if there is.

    Razlov started cursing to hide his embarrassment. Even though there no other people in camp to feel embarrass, he could not help it.


    He straighten himself up.


    "Do I have to travel on my own?"

    Razlov make his way to the beach, where the previous Razlov used boat is at. Arriving at the boat''s location, he started checking to see if its still usable. Good thing Razlov keep the boat and place it in a safe area or else he would not have a transportation to get out of the island.


    Pushing the boat to the coast, he look at the boat. The boat has the length of 1 and half meter with a sail, this definitely a sail boat.


    Razlov boarded the boat and started to sail. He glance around him like its his first time sailing in the seas.


    When he was already far away. Razlov look back at the island and a smile appear on his face. He suddenly recall that in Kurlian Island many things happened. From waking up in a foreign body, hearing a voice inside his head, learning the different function and features of the system, using the urine/potion to aid his recovery, the Army Boot Camp that was just in one night, and the mission issued by the system. Many thing really happened that makes him smile.


    "I will be back Kurlian island; see you soon."


    Even though he will only be gone for only 2 month, he will surely miss the island. Since the island has been his home for the past 1 and half month almost.


    Facing forward again, Razlov continued his journey to the port town of Sanloris. Since its where the previous Razlov live his whole life making the Razlov now more familiar with it.


    And so Razlov continued on.

 8 Chapter 8: Sanloris

    After sailing in his boat for 5 days, Razlov could finally see the silhouette of civilization. From what he could see from the size of the port, it seems to be a town. He immediately change the direction of the boat towards the town.


    Razlov let out a sigh of relief seeing the town, since he is almost out of food. During his time travelafter he left the island, his first 2 days has been relaxing. Since from the previous Razlov traveled for 3 days until he reach the island. He still continued his relaxing journey on the 3rd day, but a whole day has past and he still could not see even a single thing or a boat in the horizon. On the 4th day he started to panic since he could still not see anything and the food and water he prepared is already in his last day; he only prepared food that would last for 4 days. Since the previous Razlov on traveled for 3 days, he din''t prepare food that will last 10 days or more, he only prepare what he thinks is the appropriate for his travel. Luckily, on the morning of the 5th day travel he saw a fishing boat, after asking for direction he finally arrive at the port town of Sanloris.


    He arrive at Sanloris already time for lunch. Glancing around the port, he could see ships made out of wood ranging from big trade ships to small fishing boats. He could see many busy people walking around, trading, working, bartering and buying products; arriving at the conclusion that this is a thriving port.


    Stepping onto the port, Razlov notice that people keep staring at him. Listening to their conversation he finally understood that its due to his outfit.


    Razlov looks like he will be going to service with his full combat uniform.( from Earth''s perspective)


    From his navy combat uniform with matching cap and aviator sunglasses, Kevlar vest, water bottle and pouch bag on his belt and a holster with a desert eagle in it except for his rifle; really looking like he''s going to service.


    Some people look at him weirdly while some females has blush and smile on their face. Even though he''s outfit is weird for their perspective that does not hide that he looks cool and dashing with his outfit.


    He nods and smile at the people who''s staring at him as he walk out of the port. Females couldn''t help but avert their eyes from seeing him smile and look again as he disappear on the crowd.


    "Who was that handsome man?"


    "I don''t know, does anyone know him?"


    "Even though he looks weird it looks really good to him, making him cool and handsome"


    Even though he is already far, he could still the hear the discussion of the crowd. Razlov continued his way out of the port.


    The first thing he did was to find an Inn to eat and sleep, since he din''t get to sleep during his travel from the island to Sanloris. After asking around, he was lead to an Inn near the port called ''Flying Fish Inn''.


    The Inn is big, it is a 2 storey building with the 1st floor as a pub and 2nd is rooms. Looking around the 1st floor, he could see many people drinking in the pub and could see a middle age woman in the counter.


    Razlov walk to the counter and ask.


    "How much is the room for one person?"


    The middle age woman smile at him and said.


    "For 1 night is 1 silver coin with meal and 5 silver coins if your going to stay for a week with free meals"


    "Then I will rent a room for a month and can you prepare a meal for me."


    "The meal will be serve in 10 minutes and thank you for choosing our Inn"said the woman with a smile


    "Your welcome" said Razlov with also a smile while he keep looking at the woman


    Taking out a gold coin that he prepared, giving it to the woman and get his change to look for a table. Finding an empty table, he sit there and waited for his meal.


    After eating his fill, Razlov return to the counter to ask the woman where is the mercenary guild in town. After knowing the direction, he ask for the keys of his room and went to his room to sleep.

    3 days had pass.


    During these 3 days, Razlov had been walking around that town to familiarized himself. From what he learn during his walk in the town, Sanloris is a medium size town and also the center of trade in the territory of viscount Garbel. He also got some information regarding the time period of this world and its names for it. This world''s time period is almost just like earth except for month since its 35 days a month.

    Razlov almost spend his days out in the street to gather information that will be broaden his knowledge regarding this world.


    During his walk in the town, people keep staring at him with different look. But after 3 days of walking around the town, they already got used to how I look but the females keep staring at me with a smile on their face.


    Its already late in the night when he got back at the Inn. There are only 2 persons left in the pub and are already getting ready to leave its almost time to close the Inn.


    "Razlov, were you walking around the town again?"


    The person who called him was Selina. She is the owner and sometimes receptionist of the Inn, She has a daughter that help her out. Selina is already a widow because her husband died in an accident at the port when her daughter was only 3 years old. Good thing though, that before her husband died the couple already manage to buy an Inn as their business.


    Razlov just smile at Selina''s question.


    "Razlov, have you already eaten a meal if not, there''s still leftover in the kitchen" Ask Selina


    "Yes, please give me one. I''m already hungry"


    Selina went to the kitchen and brings back a bowl of stew,2 piece of bread and a cup of ale.


    "Here''s your meal. So how''s your day?" ask Selina while serving the food


    "Same usual" said Razlov


    "What do you think of this town Razlov?" Selina ask


    "Well, I think its a peaceful town and has a good ambiance to it"


    "Then I hope you enjoy your stay in the town" Selina said


    "Thank you"

 9 Chapter 9: Mercenary Guild

    Morning of the next day


    Razlov slowly got up from bed and wash his body using wet towel, since there''s no bath in this Inn. Today he will be going to the Mercenary Guild to register as a mercenary, after 3 days of information gathering.


    "Good morning Razlov. You''re going to walked around the town again today?" Selina greets and ask.


    "Good morning too Miss Selina, I''ll be going to the Mercenary guild to register" said Razlov


    "You want to be a mercenary?" shock at what I said, as Selina ask.


    "Yes"


    Selina shock reaction could be understood, because being a mercenary is a dangerous job. Although being a mercenary let you earn big it also has a big risk, you may die anytime in this kind of job.


    "Then I will not advice you to stop, since Isee that you know what your doing and you also look smart. Just be careful when your doing jobs." a tinge of worry flash in Selina''s face.


    "Thank you for your concern Miss Selina, I''ll be careful in my future jobs." said Razlov


    "Then be on your way. Ohh, do you want to eat breakfast?" Selina ask.


    "No need, I''ll just find food to eat on my way to the guild" said Razlov, then walk to the door.


    Razlov slowly walked to the commercial district where the guild is situated. He arrive at guild just as he finish his last piece of skewered meat as breakfast. The guild is a big building with 2 storey floor, just like Flying Fish Inn the first floor is also a pub while 2nd floor is an office for the manager.


    "Its been awhile since I manage to a earn a huge sum of money from a job."


    "Well, only in war can we mercenary really earn big."


    "Yeah, I miss the days when the empire was waging war against the alliance"


    Before entering the door, Razlov could already hear conversation between mercenaries. Mercenary is basically an arms for hire, that''s why when there is war the only people who are excited of it is none other than the mercenaries. They could earn a huge sum in exchange for their service.


    Entering the guild and looking around, he could see people staring at him due to his outfit. After awhile they stop staring and continue what they were doing. Razlov walk to the reception area where a woman in her early twenties is standing, which is likely the receptionist.


    "Hello, how may I help you?" ask the receptionist


    "I want to register as a mercenary, is there any requirements I need to fulfill?" said Razlov


    The receptionist seems to be not shock at what he said. Its seems to be that this is not the first time that a young man registered to be a mercenary in this guild.


    Suddenly a muscular middle age man walk and stop beside him. Everyone in guild stop what they''re doing and look at our direction waiting for a show.


    "Kid, this place ain''t for the likes of you who still reeks of mother milk" said the muscular man in a mocking tone.


    "Go home and suck on your mother titties" said the muscular man why making a sucking motion


    "HAHAHAHA!!"


    Everyone burst in laughter at what muscular man said and motion.


    Razlov ignore the muscular man said and treat him like a fart. The receptionist seems worried that she keep advising him to be calm in low voice.


    Seeing that he is being ignore, the muscular man burst out with an angered tone.


    "Kid! din''t you heard me, I said scram out of here" said the muscular man in a angry tone.


    Razlov continue to ignore him. There''s no use in bickering with a drunk man since reasons wont work on it.


    "Hahaha! Solba the kid is looking down at you!"


    "Solba, he treating like an air not worth the kid attention!"


    "Hahahaha!!"


    ''You!'' seeing that he continue to ignore him plus the instigation of the crowd. The muscular man called Solba suddenly throw a punch at Razlov.


    Suddenly a man with red hair who was on the same table as Solba, shouted to stop him.


    "Solba stop!"


    But its already to late. Solba''s punch was already right in front of Razlov face.


    Razlov tilt his head and body a little, just enough for him to dodge the punch. After dodging Solba''s punch, he immediately gave a counter attack. Razlov gave an uppercut palm strike in the jaw of his opponent.


    His counter attack directly hit the mark. Making Solba stagger a few steps back and stop then.


    "THUD"


    Solba fall''s down while his back on the floor and his eyes rolled up. It seems he fainted from the damage that he recieve.


    Well there is no need to doubt why Solba fainted. Razlov use palm strike to give shock to his opponents brain. Resulting in Solba fainting as a defense mechanism of his brain to reduce the damage.


    Silence pervaded the surrounding, everyone stared eyes wide at Razlov. They are having difficulty processing what happened just now.


    Razlov slowly turn his gaze to the slack-jaw and shock receptionist and ask.


    "So is there any requirement in registering?" ask Razlov


    Everyone recovered from their shock expression after hearing Razlov while they still keep staring at him in a cautious manner. The receptionist with a tinge of red on her face due to shame of her unsightly expression, slowly gaze down not daring to look at Razlov.


    "Y-You just have to fill in some papers and a drop of blood for identification card and 2 gold coins for fee." answer the woman while her gaze was still on the ground.


    "Thank you, then I would like to register." said Razlov with a smile


    "Y-Yes, here is the paper to fill in." said the receptionist while a tinge of red on her face which is clearly different from earlier due to shame.


    While Razlov was filling the paper, the red hair man who tried to stop Solba walk to him.


    "Kid, I''m sorry at what my comrade did. I know what he did rude but please forgive him. He may look tough on the outside but he is soft on the inside. Solba just want to stop you since being a mercenary is a dangerous job." said the red hair man


    "Don''t worry about it" said Razlov while still filling the papers. He din''t mind since his opponent did not even land a hit on him and his not a narrow minded person.


    While the red hair man and Razlov was talking the other comrades of Solba drag him to their table.


    "Why don''t I treat you to lunch as an apology." said the red hair man


    Razlov consider whether he should accept the offer. After deliberating for a second he accepted it since it could help him know how world of mercenary works.


    "Okay, I''ll just finish what I''m doing and I''ll be there when I''m done." said Razlov with a smile


    "Great! just come to our table and I''ll treat whatever you want to eat." said the red hair man


    Razlov finish filling the paper then the receptionist ask for his blood. The receptionist take out a small black metal box.


    "This is ''Identification Box'' a magi-tech that issue identification card as long as you put identification plate in the slot of the box and a drop of blood in the blood needle. It will take 2 hours to finish making the identification card." said the receptionist seeing my bewildered expression.


    "Now, please put your finger in the needle and pay the fee." said the receptionist with a smile


    Razlov took out 2 gold coins, gave it to the receptionist and put his finger in the needle for a drop of blood.


    "Now please wait for 2 hour to get the identification card." said the receptionist


    "Thank you" said Razlov

 10 Chapter 10: Crimson Cloud

    After finishing all the procedure to register to be a mercenary, Razlov slowly make his way to the table where the red hair man and his companion are. There is also the sleeping Solba whose drooling.


    Seeing me getting near their table. The red hair man smile and greeted me.


    "Come my friend, here sit, sit, please feel comfortable."


    "Let me introduce myself. I am Carson."


    Carson is the red hair man. He seems to be in his middle ages, although not as muscular as Solba his body is fit. You can see from his eyes that he is an experienced mercenary. There are also his companions 3 males except for the sleeping Solba and 2 female, which I find rare among mercenary to have woman in their team.


    "Let me introduce my companions to you" said Carson as he pointed at 3 males and 2 females.


    "The man with armor is Klendel" Razlov look at Klendel and nod as greeting. Klendel also look in his middle ages. He also the second most muscular among the group, only behind Solba. He also the most kind looking, keeping his smile all the time since the beginning.


    "The one with tied hair is Tirso" Carson pointed at the other man. Razlov also nod at Tirso. Tirso just like Carson he has a fit body. Looking like at his late twenties. He has a straight posture like a soldier and has a serious expression on his face.'' Looks like this Tirso is a former soldier from the way he carry himself.'' thought Razlov.


    "The remaining man is Troy" Razlov nod at Troy. Troy has a slim body and look in his late twenties. Out of all the people in the group, he has the most simple look.


    "You already know Solba, then after the boys then its time for the girls." said Carson


    "The one with the same look as me is my beautiful sister Wendy; ''She currently single''." said Carson with a wink. Wendy, just like her brother she also has a red hair and she look like in her mid twenties. Her beauty is above average, beautiful in normal people''s view but pales in comparison to those rich daughters of merchant and nobles. But she has those huge chest to compete.


    ''Damn! I''ve never seen anything like it. Its bigger than Miss Selina which is E cup in size. Those are probably H or I from my estimate. Good thing for Miss Selina that she is more beautiful or else she would lose to Wendy; overall, landslide.'' thought Razlov


    "Nice to meet you." said Wendy in cold and boyish tone.


    "Dear sister! what''s with that tone? With your way of talking to people and attitude you''ll never find a good husband. Me, your brother is worried about your future." said Carson, feeling helpless at his sister.


    "Why do you care, this is me and I don''t need to change myself just to find a man. Who cares about a man anyway! I, Wendy don''t need a man." said Wendy in cold and angry tone.


    "I''m just worried about you." said Carson in a very helpless tone.


    Seeing the bickering sibling duo the group couldn''t help but smile, even the serious Tirso also let out a slight smile.


    "Sigh, let me continue. The girl next to my sister is her best friend and sister of Tirso, Amelia." Amelia just like Wendy she is also look like in her mid twenties. She is also slightly more beautiful than Wendy and her chest is neither big nor small. Amelia also don''t look like her brother Tirso.


    "Hello, nice to meet you" said Amelia in soft tone


    "And that''s everyone. We are by the way the Crimson Cloud mercenary band." said Carson


    "Nice to meet you everyone, I''m Razlov."said Razlov with a smile


    "So Razlov, I''ll go straight to the point. Wanna join our group?" ask Carson


    "Why do you want to invite me? I just register just now, a complete amateur." said Razlov


    "No need to be humble. With the way I saw how you attack Solba, I know that you are not simple at all." said Carson


    Razlov pondered for second. Whether he should accept or reject Carson''s invitation. But recalling that he has a mission to recruit 20 individual to train. He immediately decided to reject the invitation.


    "Sorry, right now I don''t plan on joining a group." said Razlov in apologetic tone.


    "Aiys, don''t worry about it I was just casually asking you." said Carson


    "Ohh! here is the food we ordered. Lets continue to chat while we eat." said Carson as the waiter come bringing out the dishes we ordered.


    Razlov and the group continue to chat while eating.


    He also got to know the things he needed to know and a lot of information about the world. Since mercenary travel to different places they knew things that the local does not know.


    Razlov also got know that the group are actually childhood friends. They live in the same neighborhood back in their hometown. Carson and Tirso were former soldier before they got kick out of the army due to some mistake they made.


    After they were kick out they return to their hometown and started to form their own mercenary band with their childhood friends as its member. It was only later that the 2 females started to join them. The group is already 5 years old since it has been formed.


    In the group everyone was a warrior except for Amelia, who was actually a magician. So Razlov got excited to chat with Amelia about magicians. From what he learned from Amelia, magician don''t actually need to shout spells, they just need to have a clear image of what spell they want to cast it.


    Razlov gave a disappointed look after hearing what Amelia said.


    ''That means I will not be able to shout ''FIRE BALL'' if I manage to become a magician. Sigh'' Though Razlov


    The group chat all the way until afternoon. In the middle of their chat Solba who was sleeping woke up and apologize to Razlov at what did and Razlov forgave him.


    Razlov was the first to retire from the group.


    "Carson, everyone its time for me to be on my way since I still have things to do." said Razlov


    "Then see you later, Razlov if you ever change your mind you can join us anytime this coming few months, just left a message to the guild since we will not be always here." said Carson


    "Um, I will. then see you later." said Razlov


    Razlov walk to the reception area to get his id card.


    "Here is your id card Mr. Razlov and if you have question regarding the guild you can ask me. I''m Clarice by the way, you can just call me Clarice." said the receptionist Clarice


    "Thank you Clarice."


    "Right, Clarice if I want to form my own group. So what do I need to do." ask Razlov


    "Mr. Razlov could post a recruitment notice. You can ask the guild to post it in bulletin boards around the town or you can just directly ask the mercenary themselves." answered Clarice


    "Thank you" said Razlov


    Razlov slowly walk back to the Inn

 11 Chapter 11: Recruitmen

    After leaving the guild, Razlov slowly walk his way to the Inn. He look at the sky and he can already see orange hue at it indicating its already getting late in the afternoon.


    When Razlov was about to go in street where the Inn was, he was suddenly called by 2 kids.


    "Big Brother would you like buy to apples?" said by the little boy whose is 6-7 years old.


    "Big Brother would you also like buy flowers for your girlfriend?" said the little girl of the same age.


    Razlov look at the 2 kids.


    ''If I din''t die in my previous life maybe I would already have a child.'' thought in his heart.


    "Is this apples and flower yours?" ask Razlov


    "Um, our mother is selling fruits and the flower were pick by me." said the little girl in a cute manner


    "Then how much is the apple and flowers?" ask Razlov


    "20 copper for apples and 1 copper for for 5 flowers."said the little boy


    "Then I your Big Brother will it all." said Razlov with a smile


    "Really! Yay! there are 10 apples and 30 flowers that will be....Um, will be...Um."said cheerily by the 2 kid while having difficulty adding the price.


    Razlov took out 4 silver coins and give it to the 2 kids.


    "Here''s 4 silver coins you can keep the change to buy sweets and I will also buy the basket."said Razlov happily seeing the 2 kids happy.


    "Thank you big brother, I''m Randel and this is my sister Maria. See you again big brother." said the little boy Randel.


    "I''m Razlov, see you too." Razlov said while walking away from the 2 kids. He arrive at the Inn late in the afternoon already.


    Razlov saw Selina at the counter wiping it.


    "Miss Selina I got apples and flowers for you" said Razlov as he walk to Selina with basket of apple and bouquet of flowers.


    "Oh my, are you trying to court me with this gifts?" tease Selina while wearing a charming smile.


    Razlov smile wryly at the teasing of Selina and said. "I got this from 2 kids trying to help out their mother to sell apples.


    "How kind of you. So did you fare in the guild?" ask Selina while having a amicable smile


    "Everything went well and I got to get along with a mercenary band" said Razlov with a smile.


    "Then Miss Selina I will go to my room and rest, I will go down for dinner." said Razlov while making his way to the 2nd floor.


    "I will just as Rosy to fetch you if the dinner is ready." said Selina


    Rosy is the daughter of Selina and her late husband. Rosy is a cheerful girl and has a bright personality. She''s 14-15 years of age. Just like her mother she has a bright future ahead.


    Razlov rested until Rosy called him that dinner is already ready. Razlov ate his dinner while chatting with Selina and Rosy at the counter. After dinner Razlov directly went to his room to retire for the day.

    The next day.


    Razlov went to the guild to post a recruitment notice and let the guild distribute it to different parts of the town. To insure many people would see the notice he would also hired people to give pamphlet of it, just like in earth.


    Entering the guild, Razlov went directly to Clarice.


    "Good day to you Mr. Razlov." greet Clarice as she saw me approach her station.


    "Good day to you also Clarice."reply Razlov


    "How may I help you?" ask Clarice


    "I''d like to post a recruitment notice and ask the guild to distribute it around town." said Razlov


    "Then you''ll have to fill this paper and write your requirements." said Clarice


    "Can I also have additional 500 copy of the notice papers beside the one''s that''ll be distributed? I''ll pay for the extra notice papers" ask Razlov


    "Its possible, you just have to pay additional fee which totals to 6 gold coins all in all." said Clarice as she calculated all my expenses.


    "Can I also rent a room to conduct interview to those who want to apply?" ask Razlov


    Razlov learn this kind of private rooms from the Crimson Cloud group. This kind of rooms is used for private transaction or employment between client and employee to keep things secret. This rooms insure all those who rent it will never have conversation be eavesdrop since its has soundproof magic in it.


    "Yes, there are many available right now. The rent will be 1 silver coin per day." said Clarice


    "I would like to rent a room for a month." while saying it, Razlov took out 8 gold coins give it to Clarice


    "Clarice, I''d also would also like to request of you to please tell those who would like to apply the room where I''ll be renting."said Razlov with a smile.


    Seeing that Razlov gave her some extra coins, Clarice let out a knowing smile."I would be glad to tell them the room. Then Mr. Razlov please fill the paper with the requirement you want for the applicants."


    Razlov immediately begin to write:

    After Razlov finish to write the contents of the recruitment notice, he pass it to Clarice who have a surprise look on her face seeing the content of the notice. But she din''t bother with it since its not in her place to prevent Razlov what he want to write on the notice.


    "Mr. Razlov please wait for 1 hour to finish copying your notice and here is your key to the room you rent, your room will be room 5." said Clarice as she pass the key to Razlov.


    Razlov waited for 1 hour in the guild. After 1 hour he went to Clarice to receive the copy he requested.


    "Here is your 500 copy of the notice, the guild also has already started posting the notice to different place around the town." said Clarice as she pass the thick pile of notice papers.


    "Thank you Clarice" said Razlov as he accepted the copies.


    He left the guild after receiving the notice papers trying to find people to hire to give out the notice papers as form of pamphlet.


    Razlov notice that its already time for him to eat lunch. He decided to eat lunch at the Inn. On the way to the Inn he saw the 2 kids Randel and Maria whom where bought the apples and flowers he gave to Selina. The 2 kids also saw him and called out.


    "Big brother would you like to buy apples again?" said the 2 kids in unison


    "No, big brother hasn''t finish the apples he bought yesterday." said Razlov with a smile. Then suddenly it occur to him to ask the kids help him distribute the notice.


    "Randel, Maria, would the 2 of you like to earn money?" ask Razlov


    "Of course" said the 2 kid in unison with a happy tone


    "Don''t worry big brother wont let you do bad thing. You just have to do a favor for me, just give this papers to a lot people and that''s it." said Razlov as he shows the notice paper to the 2 kids


    "Leave it to us big brother we will give it to a lots of people." said Randel


    "Now call 3 other kids to help you since there''s to many for you to finish it." said Razlov.


    Randel and Maria went to find 3 of their friends to help them distribute the notice papers. Razlov gave them 20 copies of notice papers and 1 silver coin. As soon as they receive the money they let out a happy smile which made Razlov also smile. The 5 kids immediately started working so that they could finish their work soon.


    Razlov slowly walked to the Inn with a happy smile.

 12 Chapter 12: First Recrui

    5 days after the recruitment notice has been posted.


    Even after these days there is still no coming to apply. This makes Razlov quiet disappointed, that even after all the ads he did, there was still no one.


    During this days, Razlov continue to hire the kids to distribute the copy of the notice. He also waited in the room he rented, good thing though that its not really that boring in the room. He manage to buy a PSP from the system including 3 games in the expense of 35 CP; he bought the PSP and the games to relieve his boredom.


    After these day of no result, Razlov started to make new plans to recruit people. He did it while he was in the rented room at the guild. He also started to consider what the people would think if they saw the notice. After contemplating for awhile he arrive at the conclusion that people would not believe it.


    Razlov decided to wait for a few more days. If the result is still the same, he would go for a different approach.


    He got out of the room, say farewell to Clarice then walk out of the guild. Since he thought that there would not be applying today either he would rather go back to the Inn and plan how to convince the crowd about the liability of the notice.


    Arriving at the Inn, Razlov directly walk to the counter and order a cup of ale.


    "Ara! Razlov your early today, how rare of you come this early." said Selina slightly surprise of me coming early while serving me a cup of ale.


    "Brother Razlov you seems not to happy today?" said Rosy seeing my sad look as she come out of the kitchen. Usually Rosy is always in the kitchen and sometime help her mother in the pub. It seem she has talent in cooking that is better than her mother, that why she is always in the kitchen. But in afternoons she always has leisure time because there''s not too many customers; like now.


    "Sigh"


    I explain to them the thing about the recruitment notice and offers I did to make sure to attract people.


    "Hahaha! you really a big idiot brother Razlov, anyone would be suspicious with that kind of offers that you have given." laughing Rosy said


    "GUH!"


    "Rosy!, its rude to laugh at people idiocy! Apologize to Razlov" said Selina scolding her daughter


    "GUH!"


    Razlov, feeling his feeble heart getting attack by hard facts makes him wanna cry. Its really embarrassing to know at the blunder that you made yourself.


    "Sorry brother Razlov" apologize by Rosy while letting out a little bit of her tongue in a cute manner.


    "Razlov, sorry about my daughter''s rudeness" apologize by Selina not realizing that she was the one who shot the finishing blow.


    "Don''t worry about it Miss Selina, its my own fault anyway of not realizing what the people would think when they see the notice." said Razlov in a dejected tone.


    Razlov drink a few more cups of ale, before saying goodbye to Selina and Rosy that he will rest early, then he went to his room. Selina and Rosy din''t bother to try to stop him seeing his dejected appearance as he walk to his room.

    The next day.


    Razlov went again to room he rented at the guild and waited for the applicants to show up. Although he wasn''t expecting anyone that would apply today.


    ''If in the next few days that there is still no result, then I would have to change my strategy.'' thought in his heart.


    "System can you help me with the problem about recruiting people? Like do you have a printing function, cause I want to make ads in a f*cking huge tarpaulin so that people can see my sincerity."said Razlov

    In the Item shop window screen. You can see different categories which are Weapons, Armor andClothes, Transportation, Miscellaneous and [(?)] sign. Right now the only categories that is open are the Weapons, Armor/ Clothes and Misc categories.


    Razlov directly went to Misc to see the printing machine. When he found it, he nearly curse the system with its pricing, the price of the machine is f*cking 100 CP. That''s all the reward that he will get after he complete the current mission and it did not even include the material needed for printing.


    He immediately rejected this notion since its not worth the buy.


    Razlov waited patiently since waiting would not cost anything except time. Razlov have already been in Sanloris for almost half a month; he is not in haste.


    ''I will only buy it as a last resort.'' mumbled Razlov


    Noticing that its already mid afternoon, Razlov started to prepare to leave thinking that no one will also come today. Just as he was about to stand, a knock on the door was heard.


    "Knock,..Knock...Knock"


    "Who is it?"


    Razlov replied not expecting anything. Thinking maybe its one of the staff member of the guild.


    "Um,.. I- I''m here cause I saw the recruitment notice and see if I can get the job."


    Hearing the voice in the other side of the door. Razlov sit back again and tidied up his clothes, wear his sunglasses , his red beret, and purchase a pack of cigarette, zippo lighter, and ash trey. Then he open the window of the room. Razlov did all this just to make him look like a general talking to his subordinate and respectable.


    "Come in"


    The door open and whats behind is a young man 16-17 years of age. He look average in any angle you see him, from his face to his body.


    The young man enter the room. Razlov indicate that he can sit on the other side of the chair. Razlov then pick a cigarette then light it.


    ''Fuoh''


    "Do you smoke? If not, then come try it." said Razlov as he finish blowing a line of smoke


    "T-Thank you" accepted the young man hesitantly


    The young man put the cigarette in his mouth, then Razlov offer to light it.


    "Inhale it until its almost in the lungs then blow it" instruct Razlov while also smoking


    ''Fuoh''


    ''Cough, Cough''


    "Haha! good man! You see, this relieve tension and nervousness in the body." comment Razlov seeing the coughing young man.


    "Go on, try again." urged Razlov "Inhale then exhale." instruct Razlov to the young man.


    ''Fuoh''


    "See you can do it. It made you relax right?" said Razlov as he smile. While the young man was able ease a little of his tension and nervousness as he smoke and the way Razlov treat him.


    Seeing that the young man was finally relax he went straight to the point.


    "Okay, let get to the main topic. You just have to answer my question." said Razlov smiling as he stare into the eyes of the young man, wanting to determine his value and if he is lying.


    ''They say that the eyes is the window to the soul.'' thought Razlov


    "Then let''s get started." said Razlov


    "Name?"

    "Can you read and write?"


    "I can only read and write a few words, but I did understand the content of the notice you post"


    "Job? if you have any."


    "I was an errand boy in a restaurant in the commercial district."

    "I live near the slums at northwest district of the town."

    "I want to travel around many places and see the world."

    Razlov stare at Adam for awhile, seeing his expression and eyes full of determination, he smile, stand up and extend his hand at Adam.


    "Congratulation you are hired!"

 13 Chapter 13: Mission Complete

    "Congratulation, you are hired"


    Hearing that he has been hired, Adam was stunned, frozen in his place while he keep staring at Razlov.


    After a few seconds, Adam recover his composure. He grab Razlov''s hand and shake it intensely due to excitement. He could not believe that he would be accepted.


    "Thank you!"

    "Relax, now we will discuss the terms and conditions of your employment." Razlov said while trying to shake off Adam''s hands and took a piece of magic paper and magic pen to start writing the contract.


    Magic paper and magic pen are magic items use to write important contracts and documents. Magic paper and magic pen are created by magicians using pulps of special kind of tree for papers and blood of a magic beast for the pens. The magic paper has a long duration even if its expose to air and moisture, it is also not subjected to forgery as long as you use a magic pen to write documents or contract. Unless of course you lost or got stolen.

    Adam sign the contract with no hesitation. Then he pass the contract to Razlov for last check.

    "See me 1 and a half month from now on at the Flying fish Inn, you must only bring the things you need" said Razlov.


    Finish with the interview, Razlov started to return to the Inn.


    Razlov arrive at the Inn when its already time for supper. The interview seems to have taken a long time.


    Upon entering the Inn he saw Selina and Rosy at the counter, then walk towards them to share his happiness.


    Selina and Rosy also saw Razlov as he walks towards them with a smile.

    And so Razlov explain to them what happened. He keeps drinking ale as he keep telling them of what happened today with a few exaggerations.


    Selina and Rosy just keep listening to his blabbering with smile while offering a few comments. Razlov continue his telling his exaggerated stories making the mother and daughter laugh. Razlov continued until he was completely drunk, because of drinking the ale to fast. In the end, Selina and Rosy have to carry Razlov to his own room.

    After a month since his interview with Adam.


    During these month, Razlov receive different applicant for the job he was offering. After Adam, the next to come apply was a young female named Mercy and just like Adam she also wants to be a mercenary. After that many applicants show up that Razlov accepted them as long as the job they desire was still available. Even to the extent that they change to those that is still available if their desire job was already not. They also got the same terms and conditions as Adam receive for all the jobs that was being offered except for the staff members that was needed with a slight modification.


    Razlov ended up with 13 young males with 5 is of them 18 years old and the rest are 17 years of age and 7 young female with 2 of them is 18 years old and the rest is 17 years old. All the female applicants for the mercenary job has the same reasons, wanting to have an exciting way of life, force to marry someone they don''t love, because of family and that they are just bored with life. Some of the 20 individual have average looks especially the males while some have above average looks, but the two females with the age 18 years old has the same level of beauty as Selina.


    Razlov also manage to hire all the staff members he needed. All of them are females except for the 2 helpers/errand boys.

    Seeing the weapons that the supply box contain, he knew that those were for the new recruits. Since their battle style was of the modern they would need the appropriate weapons.


    Good thing though that the system reward was weapons for the recruits. The price of the AK- 47 assault rifle in the Item shop was 50 CP, making Razlov unable to purchase the right amount. In an army it is a must that every soldier must have their own weapons, making him relieve of the problem regarding the weapons, plus there is also frag grenades which Razlov consider a bonus.


    Razlov also check his inventory. The 200 gold coins is already in his inventory, plus the remaining 276 gold coins totaling 476 gold coins. With all the gold coins he have he could already be called a rich man in the common peoples view, but he knew that he should not spend to much because he has 30 mouths to feed.


    Razlov left the guild to return to the Inn. On his way, he thought that he should at least celebrate now that he completed his mission. Thinking that way, Razlov immediately run to the market to purchase meats, vegetables, and other things that is needed.

    He immediately bought all the things that is needed for the celebration. He went to an empty ally and put all of it to his inventory. Then he went back to the guild to know if the Crimson Cloud are already back. Since they said that they have a mission to do at the City of Garbel which is the capital of Viscount Garbel territory.


    Inquiring at the guild, he was told that the group is still in the city.


    Razlov left the guild after knowing that the group was not in the town. He could see that the sun is already setting, he immediately went to the inn. Razlov saw a wine shop on his way making him stop on his track, he decided to purchase the most expensive wine in the shop. After having bought the wine he continue on his way to the inn.


    Razlov arrive at the inn almost night already. He immediately went inside to reserve the whole inn. Good thing though that there still no costumers at the inn, making things easier for him. He went directly to Selina who was at the counter preparing for the coming costumers.


    "Miss Selina I want to reserve the whole inn." said Razlov making Selina surprise at his remark.


    "Are you sure? What'' gotten onto you that you want to reserve the whole inn?" ask Selina


    "Why? is there a problem if I reserve the whole inn?" ask Razlov for confirmation if there is some complications.


    "No.. there'' no problem, since right now your the only one staying at this inn. But why do you want to reserve the whole inn?" said Selina doubting Razlov of this action


    "Oh!.. I want us to celebrate, since I have already recruited enough people" said Razlov happily


    "Congratulation Razlov, but that was rather fast." said Selina as she smile, happy at Razlov that he was able to recruit enough people.


    "Haha!.. there is nothing impossible for me, with my sincerity and trustworthiness of course I will be able to recruit people." said Razlov haughtily making Selina laugh at his boasting.


    "Then I will go out to bring the food I bought, so that Rosy can cook delicious dishes for us." said Razlov while walking out of the door.


    He went to an empty alley and took out the things he bought at the market from his inventory. Then he walk inside the inn again and gave all the ingredients that Rosy will use to cook. Receiving the all ingredients, Rosy happily took it and started making dishes for the celebration. It was already time for supper that Rosy finish all the cooking, making the table full of delicious looking food.


    "Congratulation brother Razlov." said Rosy as she already start eating the food.


    "Rosy! where are your manners?" scold Selina


    "It''s okay Miss Selina, since this is a celebration I don''t mind it." said Razlov as he also started eating the food.


    Razlov and the mother, daughter duo happily chat while eating and drinking, of course Rosy only drink fruit juice since she is still young. Selina and Rosy keep chatting at Razlov, making them laugh at his boasting. Rosy went to sleep first after eating her fill, making Razlov and Selina remain as they keep drinking.


    "So Razlov what the true story of your life?" suddenly ask Selina making Razlov slightly surprise.

    "Okay" Seeing her mother did not wish to explain further she decided not to pry in it further. Rosy walk to the cabinet to get a bowl and started to prepare for the meal that was ordered.


    Selina wait as she see her daughter starts preparing, then she remembered the nonchalant face of Razlov. "Rosy don''t put any meat in his stew and give him the smallest bread we have."


    "Why?" ask Rosy to her mother not understanding why she would do that. But seeing her annoyed expression Rosy immediately shut her mouth and do what her mother told her. ''Razlov must have done something that made mother angry'' she thought as she realize why her mother was stomping her foot earlier.


    Rosy finish preparing the food then Selina brought it to Razlov as she said in a angry tone "Here''s your meal, Hmph"


    Seeing her attitude Razlov wryly smile then proceed to eating his meal, seeing his stew that don''t have any meat and only vegetables in it, while the bread was small. Razlov could only smile bitterly but said nothing in the end. He continue his meal not bothering with it anymore.


    Razlov finish his meal and leave the inn immediately since he still need to find someone to hire to get all the people he recruited to Kurlian Island.


    Seeing Razlov leave, Selina heave a sigh of relief "We cannot continue like this. I have to talk to Razlov and forget everything that happened then continue with our daily life." as she said this there was a slight disappointment in her heart.

    "Razlov c-can we talk?" although she was nervous she still manage to say what she came for. She was also notice of the way Razlov address her without honorifics making her slightly bashful. Although Razlov has been calling her name without honorific these past few days, Selina did not bother with it as she has other things that has been bothering her mind.


    "Sure, do you want to come in?" ask Razlov


    "N-No, here is fine." said Selina, afraid that when she went into his room she will not be able to focus on what she want to say because she will remember all the things that happened in that room.


    "Okay, so what do you want to talk?" ask Razlov not bothering that Selina rejected his invitation.


    "Razlov can we forg-" before she could finish talking, her lips got sealed with his. Razlov tongue try to enter inside her but Selina resisted, but it did not take long before the resistance loosened. Their tongue got entangle with each other. Selina loss her strength and her legs go limp because of the overwhelming intoxicated feeling she feeling right now. She cling to his neck to support herself while Razlov embrace her in his arms. As their lips separated, Razlov look at Selina with a smile, while Selina also look at Razlov with moist in her eye.


    "Rejected!" said Razlov with a serious expression

    Razlov kept looking at Selina then he suddenly let out a naughty smile. Selina, look at that smile of his that he was about to do something naughty, she also smiled at him.


    "No" he got excited when he saw her smile then got disappointed at what she said. He thought he would get to have an early exercise making him excited for nothing.


    He looks at Selina and bitterly asks "Why?"


    "The sun is about to rise and I still have work to do." Selina kept her smile as she answers him.

    It was already mid-morning when Razlov woke up and went downstairs. When Selina left his room he decided to sleep again, that''s why he only got up now. He saw Selina and went straight to her, he then first order breakfast and would tell her later of about something. When the breakfast that he ordered arrive he just eats it silently while Selina just waited for him to finish his breakfast, she knows that he has something important to talk, so she just waited.


    After he finishes eating his breakfast, Razlov look towards Selina and suddenly said "I''m about to leave"


    Selina silently look down and ask "When?"


    "A week from now on"


    She just kept staring down, she already knows that this day would come and when she thought that she is prepared for it, she realize that she wasn''t actually prepared enough. Selina just stood there silently as she is hesitating, after a while she gathers her courage and asks with tears in her eyes.


    "Will you return?"


    "Silly girl" He stood up and wipe her tears then continue. "Why are crying? Of course, I''m gonna come back I still have a wife to return too."


    "Really?" Her sad tears got replaced by those tears of joy "Wait, what do you mean your w-wife, we haven''t gotten m-married yet." Selina''s face was red as she was complaining. Even though she said that, in her heart she truly happy at what he said.


    "Don''t worry, we would get married soon after I settle all the things to be done." He then got near her and whispered ''I would fill you with love every night to make it up to you until the day of my departure'' then he naughtily smiled at her.


    Selina''s face was red all the way to her ears and could only nod at him.


    "Then, I have to go, I still need to prepare for my departure." After saying that, Razlov immediately left to the port as he still needs to hire a few more boats, but before he left he gave Selina a kiss making her even more red-faced.

    A week after.


    During the whole week, Razlov was busy preparing the things needed for their travel. I have already hired people who will bring us to the location where we will be going to, I know you all are curious where will going but that is a surprise for now. If some of you want to back out then now is your time because once we leave there is no going back." he then looks around.


    Confirming that no one''s going to voice out, he then continues "Since no one is going to back out then let us prepare to leave and go to the port for departure."

 19 Chapter 19: Cursed Sea!?

    Razlov and the party started preparing to leave. He also instructed them not eat at the moment, because if someone in their group has motion sickness, all the food that they had taken will be wasted cause they gonna puke it anyway. He let them first go to the port and wait for him there.


    He looked at Selina then walk towards her and said "Selina, I''m leaving now"


    "Unn" She nodded and tears slowly drop off her eyes.


    Rosy who was beside her saw her crying. "Mother why are crying?"


    Razlov''s hand reach to Selina''s face then wipe her tears and said tenderly "Come on, don''t cry. It''s not like I''m never coming back, I still have to return and claim you as my wife. At most I''ll be back within 3 months."


    Rosy who was close by was stunned unable to utter a word at seeing the intimate actions of her mother and Razlov. She could not believe what''s happening before her eyes.


    "Unn, then I''ll be waiting" nodded Selina, clearly she was happy at what he said to her.

    It was only after hearing Razlov''s words that Rosy recovered her senses. She looks at the departing Razlov and then looks into her mother and couldn''t help but exclaim "M-Mother!, y-you! h-him!"


    Selina''s face was beet red and she just kept her silence.

    During their travel they had a smooth sailing it didn''t take long enough for them to reach Kurlian Island, they had only taken 3 days of travel on the sea. Since there were 30 people that were hired and recruited by Razlov, he needed to hire 4 fishing boats. When they were sailing at the sea, it seems that they were enjoying the feeling of adventure, especially those who first time to travel far away from their homes.


    "Sir, we can already see Kurlian Island" the sailor seems to be hesitating to talk about something after he told Razlov that Kurlian Island was already in their vicinity.


    Razlov saw that the sailor is hesitating about something, so he ask "It seems that you have something you want to tell me, so say it."


    "This sea is cursed." The sailor said with a serious expression.


    Razlov frowned at what he heard. "This sea is cursed?"


    "Yes!"


    And so the sailor started to explain why he said that this sea is cursed.


    In short


    300 years ago there was only one big island in this sea. There was also a community in that island and the island has a different name back then. Because the island was the only island in this sea many trade ships were making it there resting point making the island prosperous and because the island was prosperous many people were moving into the island making its population grow to a half a million people. The island became the central hub of trade back then. But one day, the highest mountain in the center of the island suddenly exploded. Just after the explosion a massive earthquake rock the whole island, it destroyed many houses and made many crack on the earth. Many people died during that earthquake some were buried by the falling debris of the destroyed houses and some fall off the cracks on earth when it appeared, thousands of people died at that time. Then a rain of fire started to fall down burning the whole island leaving only a few survivors, but even those survivor died because of trying to escape the island they jump to the sea which was boiling cooking them alive. Then the island started to break up causing a massive wave as tall as a mountain. The mountain tall wave sweeps the surrounding seas, capsizing many ships and boats then drowning many port towns. Then those lucky survivors of the shipwrecks, when they look at the island they saw through the smoke was a huge dragon that was rising to the sky.


    Razlov was just silently listening to the story of the sailor. He has some thoughts regarding the sailor''s story, although some of them have superstitions in it most of it was telling the truth of about what happened, clearly that the mountain that was mentioned in the story was a volcano and due to the movement of tectonic plates the island was torn apart and it also caused a massive tsunami that destroyed many port towns. And the dragon that the survivors saw was maybe only a smoke forming into a shape of a dragon.


    "Due to having hundreds of thousands that died 300 years ago, that''s why this sea is cursed. Not only that, but there are also rumors of ships going missing, ghosts of those who died showing on the deck of the ships and many other more. That''s why trade ships don''t usually travel near this area." said the sailor


    "And that''s why now this islands that were parts of the island before was now called Rising Dragon Group of Islands due to the survivors having witnessed a dragon that is rising" added Razlov


    "Yes"


    "Thank you for your warning" Razlov pauses then continue "But I don''t believe in such superstitious things and stories. I will only believe in things like that if I see it with my own eyes.

    Razlov just smiled at what the sailor said. As he has the knowledge from earth, he can speculate at what really is the cause of what happened on the island 300 years ago. What happened at the island was like at what happened at the city of Pompeii in Italy.


    The group could already see the island clearly while Razlov was seeing it again since he stayed on this island for more than a month he is more familiar with this place. This will be the groups home from now on as long as they stay on the island. And to Razlov, this island will be his base of operation and also his home for the moment. Food will also not be a problem while they are staying here since the island can provide enough food for the camp and if they need something that the island cant provide they''ll just travel to Sanloris to procure it.


    After a few minutes, the boats were already at the beach then the group started to get off the boat and unload all the supplies they have brought.

 20 Chapter 20: Camp Tour

    After getting off the boat and unloading the supplies the group started to head towards the camp while the boats started to head back to Sanloris. As they were walking toward the camp the group of recruits and staff members started to discuss what kind of place their boss wanted to bring them.


    They''re discussion stop when they saw that it seems that they have already arrived at their destination. As they enter the camp the group keeps looking around, like country bumpkins first time to visit a city.


    Razlov brought the group to the training field in front of the office building, he ordered them to assemble in the training field. He went up the platform, where he stands and look at the group below.


    "Everyone, welcome to Selov base!" Razlov said it loud enough for everyone to hear.


    "From now on this base is where you will work especially for those who signed up as a mercenary. Although this kind of work has high risk it also has high reward. This base will operate as a training camp and command center for our missions in the future. You all will be the pioneers of this mercenary group but I prefer to call it private force since we will not be like those ragtag mercenary group as we are an organized group. I know you''ve heard about a rumor that this sea is cursed but please don''t just believe in those stories, you must first see it with your own eyes before you believe in those stories."


    After he finishes his speech, Razlov looks at the group and ask. "If there are any questions just raise your hand?"


    The seems to be wondering what kind of question they should ask since some of the questions they had on mind was already answered by the contract they signed were the terms and conditions are written. The group started their discussion while Razlov just waited for them and if no one asks a question within a minute then he will proceed to the next step. After a while, a girl slowly raises her hand.


    "Hmm, if I remember correctly your name is Lesia." he looks at the girl then continue "What do you want to ask?"


    "What kind of training we will undergo? Is our training just like those of kingdom''s army were we have to train in swords and bows?" ask Lesia


    "Good question" Razlov praise her "I was just about to talk about this later but because you ask this question I will tell you now. First, all of you will undergo physical training for a month to improve your stamina and endurance. Second, the weapons that you all will train in is not swords or bows but a new weapon called ''gun''. I know you all are confused about what kind of weapon is a gun but don''t worry as I will show it to you all later."


    "Are there any other questions?" Razlov waited for a while then said: "Since there are no further questions then let us proceed for a tour around the base. And since we are already here I will start the introduction of different buildings and fields. Right now you are standing on the training field, all mercenary recruits must assemble here at exactly 5:30 AM in the morning and all you must wake up at 5:00 AM, you''ll only be given 30 minutes to prepare and eat your breakfast. Then the building in front of you is the office building where all the paper works are to do that is also where my own office is located and if you have some questions to ask you can find me in that building. Now onto the next location."


    Razlov and the group started to walk towards where the cafeteria is located. As they were walking toward the cafeteria, Razlov told them something that he almost has forgotten: "Oh, and also from now on all of you must address me as ''Commander'' or ''Commander Razlov''."


    Arriving at the cafeteria the group was amazed by at its size and style since it''s their first time seeing such a building.     Razlov didn''t mind the commotion the group was making he just cough for them to quieten down then he started introducing the cafeteria: " This building is the cafeteria where you get to eat your meals and this is also the workplace of the cooks. Miss Carla, Miss Emilia, Miss Mila, and Miss Anna from now on this will be where you will be working. Now let''s go inside for you all to see and also bring the supplies we''ve brought."


    "Commander" As Razlov just finish talking, Ella who is part of the staff members raises her hand. Ella is one of the cleaners/ maids that he hired.


    "Yes?"


    "What are those buildings beside the cafeteria?" she paused then added, "I just wanna ask because since those buildings are just beside the cafeteria I thought I''d ask."


    "Okay, I understand" Razlov gave a reassuring smile then continue "Those buildings are where all the staff members will be living, each person will get a room each. The first floors are for men and the second floors are for women. Later after the tour, you''ll get to have your own rooms. Now let''s go inside."


    When the group went inside the cafeteria they keep looking around overwhelmed of what they are seeing they hadn''t seen anything like it. Razlov just keeps quiet as he watches them arguing in a low voice.


    "Wow, look at that table its made out of wood that is color white"


    "Are you blind? It''s clearly made out of marble"


    "Hah, have you seen the markings of a wood? Its almost look like those on the table. So it''s definitely made of wood."


    After a while, Razlov began to speak he didn''t mind them talking as they talk in a low voice, so he just spoke while their talking: "This place is the dining hall where you get to eat your meals"


    Then he walks to where the counter is "Here is where you will get your food. As you can see, there is a barricade that almost only one person can walk through, this was put here for you to form a line as you get your food."


    He looks towards Carla "Miss Carla you will be the leader of your group of cooks. For every meal, you should at least prepare 3-4 different types of dishes. Before or at least 4:30 AM you must already be awake for you to prepare for breakfast. Later I will teach how to use the equipment in the kitchen."


    "Then let''s go to where the obstacle training ground." Razlov then went outside with the group.     Since the camp doesn''t have many facilities yet like its own arsenal for weapons and ammunition manufacturing, air station and hangars for helicopters and garage for combat and transportation vehicles, so he could only show what is present for now.


    But their next stop is the Shooting range.

 21 Chapter 21: Shooting Range

    Razlov look at the group then explains "Guns are range weapons that launch projectiles just like the bow and arrow. There are many types of guns from small ones to big ones. What we have here right now are the small ones."


    As he finished explaining, someone in the group raises a hand then ask: "Commander'' if it''s just like the bow and arrow why do we still need to use the gun since they are the same?"


    "No, they are not exactly the same" he shook his head then continue " There is a big difference between the two and that is its firing speed."


    He opens the smallest case and retrieves the gun."Let me ask you a question, how many seconds would it take for an archer to release the arrow from the bow and hits its target?"


    The group started to picture of how many seconds would it take. Then someone in the group answers.


    "At least 2-3 seconds, since the archer would still need to aim after pulling the string"


    "That''s right, now I''ll show the difference between the two." He then instructed: "Bring out the apples that I ordered to be brought here and put 5 apples on top of each bar."


    The people who were ordered started putting the apples on top of each bar. As Razlov was waiting for their work to be done, he started to load the magazine into the handgun then pull the slide. After their work was done, those people return back.


    "Now watch and cover your ears" Razlov quickly took aim and started firing. Then a series of small explosions resounded in the area.


    At first, the group was dubious about the gun, they just followed what did their commander told them which is to watch and cover their ears. Then an unbelievable sight happened, a small explosion was heard and then one of the apple burst, it all happened in just a blink of an eye. Then quickly after, a series of small explosions were heard again and the four other apples also bursts.


    The group just stood there frozen in place, slack-jawed, and wide-eyed as they look at the unbelievable thing that happened. After a while, they burst into a commotion.


    "What the f*ck was that!!?"


    "Holy sh*t! What happened just now!!?"


    "Unbelievable!"


    As the group was making a commotion, Razlov slowly looks at the group. When they saw that Razlov turn to look at them they quieted down, as they are waiting for his explanation.


    "Now do you see the difference between the two?" the group nodded quickly at Razlov''s question.


    Razlov looks at the crowd then explain further. "This gun is called Beretta M9 handgun or Beretta M9 pistol but I prefer to call it a pistol. Beretta is the name of the pistol and the M9 is the model of the pistol. Like the bow that has the arrow the pistol here also has a bullet."


    He then took out the magazine out of the pistol then he shows it to them what in it.


    "What I just took out of the pistol is called the magazine and in it is the cartridge. You can see the cartridge has two different colors one is gold and the other is brown. The gold color one is the case while the brown one is the bullet. The bullet is the one that shoots out of the gun when being fired and if you look at the ground you will see the cases which remained here."


    When the crowd looks at the ground they saw the gold colored cases but the brown bullet was nowhere to be seen.


    Razlov then gave a further explanation "When you fired a pistol the bullet will shoot out of the pistol through the muzzle then the pistol will automatically eject the case loading the next cartridge ready for you to fire again. A pistol can shoot 2-3 bullets in just a second, just like what happened when I fired the pistol, it only took me 2 seconds to shoot the 5 apples with a distance of 10 meters that means, I can kill 5 persons in just a few seconds in a distance of 10 meters. That is the firing speed of a pistol."


    The crowd just silently listen to Razlov''s explanation making them astonished at what they heard. They believe everything they heard from him since they just saw the truth just now. A person would take 5 or more seconds of running before they reach a distance of 10 meters and they would have already been dead before even reaching that distance.


    "Now let''s proceed to the next one." Razlov then approaches the second longest case then opened it and retrieve the gun. "This gun is an assault rifle, the AK-47 assault rifle. The difference between the Beretta M9 pistol and this AK-47 assault rifle is, the AK-47 assault rifle has a much longer shooting distance than the Beretta M9 pistol. The AK-47 also has a selective fire mode, which are semi-automatic just like the pistol, burst mode that fire 2-3 rounds of bullets, and the fully automatic."


    Seeing their confused look, not understanding what he just said, he started to load the magazine to the AK-47 then pull the charging handle.


    "Now I will show you what is selective fire mode. I will use the apples again as a target but those in a much farther distance than the last. First is the semi-automatic." Razlov then started shooting the apples. Then just like before, a series of explosions and apples bursting.


    Razlov then explains after shooting "As you have seen, the firing speed is just like the pistol it fires only a single bullet but has a greater range of 30 meters. Semi-automatic mode is used if your shooting a long distance target."


    "Next is burst-mode" Razlov started shooting again. Three continues explosions could be heard again and again.


    He then explains again. "Burst-mode fires a predetermined number of rounds of bullets, usually two or three rounds of bullets. When in burst-mode your accuracy will drop but this mode is mostly used when there are multiple enemies."


    "Then the last is fully-automatic" Razlov smiled at the crowd when he said that. He then holds the AK-47 in a different position, unlike before where he places the stock on his shoulder, this time he holds it beside his waist and his hand above the grip then pointed it at the ground. Razlov squeeze the trigger then countless explosions could be heard. He continued firing the AK-47 until it was out of ammo.


    When Razlov started firing, the crowd could saw dirt bursting up of the ground and before the dirt even land on the ground another one will burst up. The crowd was staring wide-eyed at scene happening in front of them, they only recovered when they heard the ''tck'' sound of the empty rifle. Then they look at their commander who is smiling at them.


    "Fully automatic mode is used when there are too many enemies that are closing or to suppress the enemies offense making them unable to fight back." Razlov explain


    "Last but not the least the Dragunov sniper rifle" Razlov took out the gun from the case.


    "Dragunov is different from AK-47, this gun has much longer range than AK-47. This is used in killing the enemy from a great distance. Dragunov has a stable shooting range of 150-200 meters."

 22 Chapter 22: Army Basic Combat Training

    After Razlov was done with showing what guns could do, he instructed the crowd of recruits to go to the barracks where they will be staying from now on. Since they already know where they should go he didn''t bother guiding them, as during the tour he already pointed were they will stay and instructed that men will take the first floor and women get the 2nd floor.


    Then he leads the staff member back to the cafeteria. For the cooks, it would be their first time using the equipment in the kitchen of the cafeteria. Razlov had no choice but to teach them how to use it since almost all of it is modern kitchen appliances and he also used that opportunity to prepare for tonight''s meal.

    The next day, Razlov lined up the recruits in the training field. He then taught them the military courtesy and decorum like the proper form of address ''sir'' if it''s a male or ''ma''am'' it''s female, saluting to senior officers, the proper way of standing, etc, etc. He also started to pair them up as battle buddies to serve as disciplinary measures which prohibit the recruits of traveling alone in the camp, it also promote cooperation and prevention of doing any misbehavior during off-training as both of them would be punished even if one of them is innocent. Then after a week, they would shift partners based on the evaluation of their conduct towards their partner.


    In the afternoon he asks the recruits if they know how to read time. And the result is almost all of them don''t know how. So he taught them how to read time, cause in the military the time has an important role to play.


    He used the whole afternoon teaching them how to read time.


    On the 2nd day, the real torturous training has begun.


    In the morning the first thing they did was to do some warm-up exercise. Then they have to run 10 laps around the camp as Razlov tag along so he could monitor them. Making them run for more than 10 kilometers.


    Finished at running 10 laps around the camp, the whole crowd was exhausted that they were lying flat on the ground as they grasp for air to breathe. He gave them a few minutes of rest before they start their next training.


    Having rested enough, he taught and made them do different exercises like push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, etc, etc. Each of them must complete a series of sets of exercise and after completing it they would be able to rest then they would have to do it again two more times.


    And that''s the end of their morning training.


    Razlov gave them a break time for an hour to rest and eat their meals as they still have their afternoon training.


    When the recruits heard that they still have an afternoon training all of them had the same reaction; stunned.


    Their afternoon training was the obstacle course.


    When the recruits arrive at the area where the obstacle course is situated. All of them uttered in dismay cause the training this time would be more difficult.


    The recruits did the obstacle course, which is running on the balance beam, swinging using ropes, crawling under the barbed wire, climbing up the rope ladder, rappeling from a high wall, etc, etc.


    Razlov followed them on the side as he instructed and encouraged them.


    At first, the recruits were doing fine but as they pass through the different obstacle their pace started to slow down. In the end, they were only able to manage one lap through the obstacle course.


    Seeing their current state Razlov decided to end the training for today and let them rest but they must take a bath first then eat something light. So he ordered them to take a quick hot bath then proceed to the cafeteria to eat.


    Razlov knew that if he just let them rest like that they would fall into a deep sleep due to exhaustion and they would only wake up the next morning. So he ordered them to take a bath as he doesn''t want them to get sick because of their sweat drying up and they also need something to fill their stomach cause when they woke up the next morning they would feel very hungry.


    While the recruits were taking their baths, Razlov instructed Miss Carla and the rest of the cooks to prepare something light to eat. He also spends some CP to purchased pain reliever medicines in the system Item Shop for sore muscles that they''re about to experience.


    After taking their bath and eating their meal they all went to rest and fell asleep.


    On the 3rd day, just like what Razlov had predicted. All of them had sore muscles that made them unable to move without feeling pained, it even made the females cry. Good thing though that he prepared medicines that will at least alleviate the pain they are feeling.


    After resting for a few a minutes the medicine started to take effect making them able to move without feeling much pain. Being able to move, they all went to the cafeteria to eat their breakfast cause all them are very hungry due to the training they did the other day.


    Then all them went to the training field as Razlov instructed. He told them that the training is only in the morning and in the afternoon all of them will be taught how to read and write, how to do maths, and how to tell time.


    Hearing that they would only be doing the morning training, all them heave asigh of relief.


    He then added that on the next day they would be doing the kind of training they did the other day. Their whole training schedule will keep interchanging between, a whole day training of running and exercising in the morning and doing the obstacle course in the afternoon to half a day running and exercising then studying in the afternoon.


    This training schedule continued for a few days before Razlov started to increase their training menu like from 10 laps to 15 laps of running or from 20 push-ups to 30 push-ups. He also added a variable of asking a question after every lap of running around the camp, the question he asks was based on the lessons that they have learned and those who could answer correctly will have a decrease of 1 lap to run and to those who guessed wrong will have their lap increase by one.


    Hearing that they could lessen the laps they would be doing by answering the questions correctly, the recruits were delighted. Who wouldn''t want to alleviate the laps they would be running? So the recruits were taking their lessons more seriously and they are also working hard at their studies.


    At first, they were having a hard time answering the question correctly because of exhaustion they''re feeling. But as they continued to improve physically due to everyday training that they are doing, they also started to improve at answering the questions.


    As Razlov keep throwing questions at them, their thinking capacity keeps improving making them answered the questions with ease.


    And so their days of training continue.

 23 Chapter 23: Somethings Coming!

    The recruits physical and mental training continued on. As their torturous training continues, the recruits also continue to improve but every time Razlov saw that they are improving he will raise the difficulty of their training making them very miserable.


    Although they are unhappy about it they can only complain in their hearts since they also know that this training is for them and not for him. They can only grit their teeth as they continue to follow his orders.


    There''s also something that has changed, at first Razlov way of calling and talking to the recruits was in a normal way with an authoritative tone. He was even encouraging them by telling them ''that they can do it'' or ''this is for your own good so do your best'' that how he usually talk to the recruits during training. But lately, just after a week of training since the start, he suddenly started talking, calling and even shout at them with abusive words that it was really anger-inducing that even someone from the recruits wanted to punch him only to be beaten black and blue. Then after that incident, nobody ever tried to attack Razlov again so the recruits could only swallow their anger.


    The recruits could only vent their anger in their training making their improvement significant. Razlov also started to see that some of the recruits have leadership skill, a skill that is suitable for being able to lead a fireteam or a squad. Razlov decided that he will first observe and test them if they really have what it takes to lead a team.


    As the recruits continue their training and keep improving, days also continue to pass; and so a month had gone by.


    Although it has already been a month since the recruits started training and they should have already completed it but Razlov decided to extend their training a week more. Since the training, this time will be for those who have qualified in his test for being a leader.

    Meanwhile, as Razlov and his group are training back at Kurlian Island.


    Garbel city the capital of Viscount Garbel''s territory. It is a city with bustling activity and prosperity and it has a population of ten thousand or more. This was once a simple town that was in the control of the kingdom but ever since Viscount Garbel receives this territory he slowly developt it to its current prosperity.


    In the center of the city is where the mansion of Viscount Garbel is situated, the Viscount put his mansion in the center so he would be able to manage the city properly.


    Inside the mansion at its study room, Viscount Garbel is sitting and doing some paper works. He would sometimes look out of the window and see the city he built, the people smile while walking on the street and the children playing. Viscount Garbel loved seeing all of this at his study room when he wanted to relax after getting tired of doing paper works.


    Edison Garbel or also known as Viscount Garbel is the epitome of a commoner rising to a noble. He was born into a family of farmers, his father was a farmer and so his mother. When he was still a child they lived in a small farming village in there they lived their life happily. He thought that he would also be a farmer like his parents but all of it changed when he was 16 years old when a famine struck their land. Because of the lack of food, Edison at that time decided to work away from his home even though his parents were against it. He loved his parents and he doesn''t want to see them suffer because there''s nothing to eat.


    Hardening his heart, together with his best friend they sneak at night and went on their journey without notifying anyone. When they arrive at the town, it was exactly at that time that the kingdom''s army was recruiting and due to its high salary Edison and his best friend decided to join the army.


    In the army is where Edison shined due to his clever mind he manages to rise from an ordinary soldier to a battalion commander. When he became a battalion commander he was granted a court rank of Baron then he was given a fief. Then due to his further military exploits as a battalion commander, he then became a brigade general commanding ten thousand soldiers and he was given again a court of a viscount and additional fief.


    Edison parents were able to live a life of riches due to him being noble. He also married 2 wives then had 3 children, 2 boys on his first wife, and a girl from his second wife.


    That was a story 30 years in the past and now at the of 50''s he had already long retired from the army and living the life of peace in his territory as he manages it. Just like him, his 2 sons are also in the army while his daughter is still finding someone fitting to be her husband.


    As Viscount Garbel was watching the city in his window, a knock was heard at the door.


    "Come in"


    Then an old butler come inside the room.


    "Master, commander Charl is here and his in the hall."


    "Let him come meet me here"


    Then the old butler walks out of the room after a while an old man in his 50''s walk inside the room. He is wearing armor and you can clearly see that he is an experienced soldier from the way he carries himself.


    "Master, what is it you''ve called me for?"


    "Charl how many times have I told you that just call by my name when its only the two of us, no need for formalities."


    Charl was the best friend of Viscount Garbel back in their village when they joined the army he was always been following Viscount Garbel as his right-hand man. Later when Viscount Garbel was given a title he appointed Charl as his knight and commander of his army.


    "Hahaha, well what can I do you are a noble and my master"


    Viscount Garbel could only shake his head at his friend remark.


    "So Edison, what is it that you''ve really called me for?"


    "Is it about the thing that the kingdom ordered us to do?"


    Charl made a serious expression when he said this.


    Six months ago, Viscount Garbel was summoned personally by the king. He was given a secret order that no one must know because this will affect the future of the kingdom. After returning to his territory he immediately ordered Charl to personally handle this matter. And so Charl instantly made preparation and then executed the order.


    "Yes"


    "So how are things going on?"


    He looks at Charl with a stern expression, this thing is of utmost importance that mistake is not tolerable.


    "There have been some tiny problems but nothing serious, they were still able to bring it to sea and are now making their way to Sanloris. But they have to take a few detours to avoid their pursuers and it will take more than a month before they arrive at Sanloris."


    When Viscount Garbel heard the everything is going well, he nodded in satisfaction.


    "Good, the kingdom spent millions of gold coins just to acquire this item. Even if we have to make a few sacrifices it is still worth it as this will secure the future of the kingdom."


    Then he looks down with a frown then he tracing his chin with his hand as he is thinking of something.


    "But the main problem is when it arrived at Sanloris and transporting it by land. We should never let our guard down, we should also assume that they already know that it is us that procure that item."

 24 Chapter 24: Firearms Training

    Razlov''s leadership training has been successful, he was able to achieve what he wants to see. There were 4 people, 3 young men and 1 young woman who pass this training and these 4 people are Adam, Mark, Nelson, and Lesia. From his observation, these 4 people are the most suitable to become a leader of a fireteam so he decided that after this training when they graduate, he will immediately promote them to ''private first class''.


    He knows that jumping ranks will be unfair to others since all of them should be rank as ''private'' after they all graduate and then move to ''private second class'' before becoming a ''private first class''. But Razlov has no choice since the organization had just been formed and he needed immediate leaders for different fireteams or squads.


    These 4 people have different personality and attitude but they all have qualities of being a leader.


    Adam was the first to join Razlov when he was recruiting. Adam is a little bit timid making the other saw him not suitable for being a team leader but what makes him exceptional is, he listen to others opinion and make the best course of action to be taken.


    Mark is one those decisive fellows that follows what he thinks is right making people thinks that he is a reckless person. But he is not, he is actually a cautious person that does not tolerate mistakes. He makes his subordinates follow his orders absolutely right what and where he wanted them to be.


    Nelson, well you can say that he is a person with natural charisma. People execute what he told them to be making the team''s teamwork work in order. He also encourages his subordinates which keeps their morale high. This what makes him more of a good leader since morale is important in the army.


    Then there''s Lesia, Lesia is a person who is always calm no matter what situation she was in especially in dire circumstances. As she is calm in any situation, it makes her have a clear vision of what she should do. It made her actions more precise and thorough at accomplishing things.


    Razlov is satisfied with the abilities and personality of 4 people he deems to be a good leader. Although they have some deficiencies, all of those can be achieved through training and experience that will make them a good leader.


    Then after the additional week of leadership training, they move to firearms training.


    But before they moved on he first congratulated them for passing the physical and mental training. He then told them why he''s being mean to them and keeps calling them with abusive and provocative words, that although it''s just for a show its also for them to prove that they are not what he called them to be.


    "And if in the future that we have to recruit again and needs to expand our organization, I will personally select someone to be the drill instructor to train the new recruits."


    Hearing what Razlov said, almost all of the recruits or cadets were overjoyed at what they heard that they couldn''t help but yell in ''YES!''.


    Razlov intent on saying that was to ease their resentment towards him. As he understands what they are feeling just like him when he was back on earth at the military academy or college. He also experienced what they experienced and it was even worse than that, that''s why when he was finally got assigned to instruct a class of juniors he made them suffer to vent all his frustration during his junior years. That''s why he understands their feelings, and just as he expected.


    "Haha, I''ll make all those newbies suffer!"


    "I will finally get my revenge!"


    "Idiot! you have to be selected first before you get to make the newbies suffer. That''s why I need to be the one who should be chosen."


    After the speech, Razlov gave the cadets a day to relax and have a fun cause in the next day it would be the start of the firearms training.

    On the next day, Razlov gave them a lesson first about the weapons that they would be using. He further explained to them all the advantages and disadvantages of the weapon, like for example, you have the advantage of range so the enemy will die first before they can approach you or for disadvantages is if something went inside the muzzle there will be a risk that the gun will explode.


    Razlov was very thorough at how he was explaining it to them.


    The cadets were listening intently to him as this will be an important factor for them of whether they will live or die. So they listen closely and were even taking note making sure that they would remember it.


    He also taught them about the parts of the gun and he even disassembled it in front of them as he was explaining. He then let the cadets inspect it one by one as to for them to know how a gun works. Razlov also let the cadets disassemble and assemble the gun themselves, so he took 4 AK-47 and 4 Beretta M9 for them to practice on it.


    Razlov used a whole for him to thoroughly taught them about guns. Then on the next day they finally started their firearms training but in the morning they still have to practice at disassembling and assembling the gun. He all made them do this, for them to memorize the different parts of the gun.


    He first let them do some target practice, for them to get the feeling of using a gun before moving to a more intense practice like pop up targets, urban warfare, and jungle warfare. Razlov even personally instructed each one of them of how to position the gun when holding it or how your body should be positioned so that your body would be able to receive the impact of the gun recoil.


    After learning how to fire the guns, the cadets finally proceeded on how using the guns in a different situation. Razlov prioritized in training them on urban warfare since this world is of the medieval age.


    The cadets were divided between the leaders that were chosen by Razlov. Each of them has four subordinates and each team will compete with each other; teams that win will get a reward and those who lose will get punished.


    When the competition was announced, the cadets were very enthusiastic about it since they would get to receive a reward if they won. They keep competing of whose team will get the shortest time in their practice.


    Razlov could see their improvement as they kept competing with each other, especially those teams that were on the verge of losing since losing meant punishment; who would want to lose?


    As days pass, Razlov just kept observing them while also feeling pained in his heart since most of the ten thousand ammo that the system had given is almost about to run out. Razlov could only grit his teeth as he kept saying to himself that ''Its okay, its okay since they are improving and when this training is over, all the things that have been spent will return and it would even be double than that maybe even triple''.


    And so Razlov grit his teeth as he spent CP to buy ammo on the system Item shop.

 25 Chapter 25: End of Training Program

    The cadets training went on for two whole weeks of shooting practice. Razlov let them engage in many different situations to further hone their skills in using guns. Their training also went to various fields like diving underwater to infiltrate the enemy defense or base, rappelling and climbing from a high cliff, etc, etc.


    As much as Razlov want to train the cadets in more wider fields, he is limited by resources or more like limited in money since he couldn''t buy the all the equipment necessary for their training even though its just needed one press to buy. He could only provide limited resources right now but in the future when they are already starting earning money those types of equipment would no longer be a problem.


    He once heard from a mercenary back at the Mercenary guild in Sanloris that in wars they could earn as much as thousands of golds and depending on the situation it could even reach tens of thousands of gold.


    That''s why all he could do right now is be patient as there will come a time that he would be able to provide the necessary training and equipment.


    After two whole weeks of firearms training, Razlov started giving lessons again to the cadets but this time it''s different. Previously the cadets were learning how to read and write and the basic protocol of the military but this time they are about to start learning of how to use call signs, about phonetic alphabets and codes, and character encoding like ''Morse code'' for communication whether it is a normal or an encrypted message.


    For these lessons, Razlov bought the necessary equipment for them to study like the telegraph for sending morse code and a multi-band handheld radios with matching earpiece as the static of radio will create noises that will give out its location.


    Razlov decided that morse code is the most appropriate means of communication for them as there is a long distance between the island and the mainland; more than 150km. Radio communication requires a large power of electricity and frequency to send radio waves over a long distance while Morse code has a low requirement of electricity and frequency needed to send radio waves since it''s only code signals that are being transmitted rather than actual conversation.


    He would also need to set up communication stations on the island and various places like Sanloris. But that is a matter in the future when he has already enough money, right now all he can afford is multi-band handheld radio used for field communication, telegraph for transmitting Morse code and a small radio tower.


    Now, Razlov has only 40 CP left after all the spending he did and even after all of that spending he still could not provide equipment for every single cadet. If he manages to equip every one of them, their efficiency would definitely rose up and they would be able to do missions simultaneously while maintaining close communication with each other or to the command center.


    Razlov could only sigh at how poor he was. The lack of money is what keeps him from providing good quality equipment for the cadets even the AK-47 that they are using right now is not the most suitable weapon for its low accuracy especially in long-distance shooting although it has high penetration capabilities it would be useless if you cannot hit your target.


    There''s also another issue which is ''self-sufficiency'' regarding weapons and ammunition. Right now, Razlov is buying all of it in the system''s Item shop which is not good in the long run. That''s why in the future, Razlov''s plans to create their own weapons and ammunition factory or rather their own arsenal.

    The cadets continue to study and learn all the things Razlov have taught them. At first, they were all having a hard time remembering all that he taught them but eventually they manage to remember and learn it.


    Then after 5 straight days of lesson Razlov implemented all the cadets have learned during the lessons while doing firearms training.


    "This is fireteam leader; I''m in position." Adam said through the radio.


    ""I''m also in position"" said the other members


    "Ready your weapons, on my signal"


    "GO!, GO!, GO!"


    "Breaching, Breaching"


    "Tatatata!!!"


    Hearing the sound of the guns firing and observing the cadets, Razlov nodded in satisfaction at their teamwork.


    The cadets were amazed at how it is easy to communicate with each other without shouting by using the radio. It also made their teamwork even more in sync and flued.


    After each fireteam had each taken their turns of using the radio, Razlov called them over for an announcement at the training field.


    When the cadets arrive at the training field they immediately formed a line in an orderly fashion.


    Razlov went up the platform and look carefully at the 20 cadets.


    "After more than two months of training and learning, today will mark the end of it. All of you have already completed the Army Basic Combat Training and tomorrow will be your graduation day."


    He looks at the cadets and seeing that they did not make a commotion and only stayed silent made Razlov nodded approvingly. This indicates that they are disciplined soldiers but Razlov know that deep inside they are truly happy.


    "But the training doesn''t end just there. Like the name of this training program ''Army Basic Combat Training'', this means that what you all have learned are only the basics and there more specialize training program for you attend but of course, this training program will be voluntary instead of compulsory. This means that it will be up to you whether you want to undergo this kind of training program or not."


    At first, when the cadets heard that ''the training doesn''t end'', although they manage to hide their anxiousness in their faces their eyes did not. But after they heard the ''voluntary'' word, all of them heave a sigh of relief in their hearts.


    "So tomorrow you all have to take a bath and dress up in your officer uniform. As tomorrow will be your graduation day."


    "Oh, before I forgot. If you want to, you can bring your families here on the island since this island is too big for us to occupy alone. So why not bring your family members here and let them reclaim the lands around here or you can also let your families establish a fishing village here on the island if you don''t want to reclaim any lands. That way, you won''t have to travel far just to see your families and it would also make the island livelier than just us living here."


    After making his announcement, Razlov dismissed the cadets and went to the cafeteria to tell Carla and the other cooks that they should prepare a sumptuous meal tomorrow for the graduation party.


    As they heard what Razlov said. The cadets started to consider whether it is good to bring their families here on the island.


    From the two months of staying here on the island, they could see that their families would be able to live here since there are drinkable water and food on this island or they could just do some fishing and they would have enough food. They could also reclaim the lands nearby to provide enough food so that they would not only be eating fish and fruits. Their life on the island would probably be easier than their life in the slums since almost all of the cadets that Razlov recruited are from the slums of Sanloris.


    It didn''t take long of deliberation before almost all the cadets decided to try to bring their families on the island as they still need to convince their families to follow them and as for the others, they are still hesitating.

 26 Chapter 26: Graduation; Relation

    Today the usually noisy boot camp with the cadets doing their training is quite peaceful.


    You can''t see and hear cadets running around the camp while shouting their lungs out.


    You can''t also see and hear their commander trash talking the cadets.


    And you can''t also hear the sound of guns firing continuously.


    This unusual quietness is because today is the graduation day of the cadets and everyone are busy preparing for the ceremony later in the day.


    The cadets are taking their baths or tidying their self up with their officer uniform to see if everything''s okay.


    The cooks are busy preparing different dishes for the latter''s graduation party.


    While the maids and two helpers are busy at preparing and decorating the stage that will be used on the graduation ceremony.


    Razlov was also preparing for the graduation ceremony. He decorated his officer uniform with medals and ribbons he received during his past life. During Razlov spec ops days, he received a total of 18 ribbons and 5 medals. He bought all the ribbons and medals that he received in his past life in the system Item shop and he also bought additional ribbons for the cadets and insignia for himself and for the cadets; he got himself a 5-star insignia as he is the top ranking officer and that consider him as a 5-star general.


    [Author note: 5-star general is the top of the military structure, not the minister of defense or the president. Although the minister of defense and the president can command the military as the president is the supreme commander they are still in line with the political branch.]


    Now he only had 10 CP left.


    After attaching all the medals and ribbons, then seeing that it already looks good he donned himself up and went to where the ceremony would be held.


    When Razlov arrives at the training field where the ceremony is being held, he could see that cadets are already standing in line in front of the stage. He walks straight to the stage and stands in front of everyone.


    "First of all, I would like to congratulate you all on finishing the training. This past two months had been hard on all of you. You all have endured all the hardship and stress during this past two months of training. I know the training was hard but all of you manage to persevere through it all and you all should raise your chest and be proud of what you had accomplished."


    Razlov looks at the cadets with a smile on his face.


    "And I''m also proud for all of you!"


    The cadets were just standing there with a stern face but you could see from their eyes and tears the joy that they are feeling right now.


    They had personally experienced what happened during the training; puking due to over exhaustion during training, muscle pain that was unbearable that you would not even be able to move due to extreme pain, etc, etc. But they all manage to persevere through it, so how can they not be overjoyed?


    "Now unto giving out awards for finishing the training"


    "If I call your name you should go up the stage and receive the award."


    And so Razlov calling out their name one by one. He first started calling the four individual that will become the leaders of the teams; they are Adam, Mark, Nelson, and Lesia. They were given a ribbon and insignia for ''private first class''. Then the rest of cadets followed, they were also given ribbons but their insignia was for the rank of ''private''.


    The cadets went up the stage one by one when their name got called out and when they got down from the stage all of them had a smile and a proud face.


    You would not be able to see the dissatisfaction on their face that some of their peers were able to jump ranks cause Razlov explained to them that the four individual had performed exceptionally and they themselves also know it from the bottom of their hearts.


    Razlov faces the cadets as soon as the last cadet got down from the stage and line up with everyone else.


    "I once again would like to congratulate you!"


    "Congratulation on graduating!"


    "..."


    Silence pervaded the whole ceremony. Razlov just stands there feeling awkward as he was expecting that after the ceremony he would see people celebrating, hugging each other, throwing their hats into the air but that didn''t happen.


    "Ahem!"


    Razlov gave a cough to break the awkwardness.


    "All you don''t have to be reserve anymore as this day is for all of you to celebrate, so let it all out."


    The cadets look at each other and they could see the excitement on each other''s eyes.


    And it finally burst out.


    " "WOAH!!" "


    " ''Sob'', it has been really hard"


    "Haha!!!, It''s finally over!"


    "The nightmare like training is really over!!"


    The cadets finally burst as they rejoice that it''s already over. They shout till their lungs out, hugging each other while tears of joy are flowing through, throwing their hats into the air, and laughing their hearts out loud.


    Seeing this scene Razlov nodded in satisfaction as this should be the proper reaction after the graduation.


    "Now let''s proceed to the cafeteria as I have prepared a party for all of you"


    Hearing what Razlov said, the cadets were even happier.


    They follow Razlov to the cafeteria and went they saw that there are many types of foods some of them started to droll and couldn''t wait to start eating immediately but they manage to restrain themselves.


    Then Razlov indicates that they should all take their sits. Then he made a speech to congratulate the cadets again and the party started.


    When they heard that they could already start eating everyone pick their plates and went to where the buffet table and started filling their plates with food. The staff members also join them.


    Everyone was happily eating and drinking while chatting with each other. Some of the cadets were even stuffing their mouths just so they could return to the buffet table and have more food. Of course, Razlov also joins them in celebrating.


    The cadets were enjoying the party to their heart''s content, they keep eating and drinking until they are all drunk.


    The crowd keeps partying from afternoon till night. Some of the cadets went to their respective room when they were already drunk; especially the females while some others that stayed behind and just sleep in the cafeteria unable to walk back into their own rooms.


    While Razlov... well, after the party Razlov went with the 4 other cooks; Carla, Emelia, Mila, and Anna and they are doing some night activity.


    Razlov relationship with them begun when he reaches the point where comforting himself was no longer effective. Cause when a person is already used to sex, comforting oneself is no longer possible; It can only alleviate the hunger but can''t cure it.

 27 Chapter 27: Mercenary Bands Name

    The soldiers rested for a day after the party was concluded as almost all of them had hangovers after the party and then after resting for a day, they would go back to Sanloris the next day.


    [Author note: I change the way to call the group from ''cadets'' to ''soldiers'']


    Razlov told them that they have two purposes in going back to Sanloris. First is to find and do some mercenary work and second is to do a live-fire exercise.


    When the soldiers heard that they will be going back to Sanloris and will be doing work of a mercenary which also acts as a live-fire exercise, they were excited and nervous at the same time. Wondering if, will they be able to stomach killing a person?

    After a day rest, Razlov and the first group embark on the path back to Sanloris. Razlov decided to divide the soldiers into two groups; 10 people in each group meaning two fireteams in each group, the first group would follow Razlov back to Sanloris and the second group will remain at the island to guard it. Then after the first group finishes doing their task they would return back to the island then the second group will be the next to follow.


    When Razlov''s group arrive at Sanloris they immediately went to Flying Fish Inn, for him to see Selina and rent her entire Inn to serve as a temporary base of operation for them; for the time being.


    Later, when Razlov already has enough money, he plans to buy a house near the commercial district and make it their permanent base of operation in Sanloris.


    Arriving at the Inn, Razlov went inside and could see that there were only a handful of customers inside there he sees Selina serving the customers of what they ordered.


    "Welc~"


    Selina notices that someone entered the Inn and when she sees the one who entered, she stunned for a second and then walk slowly towards him. Unable to contain her excitement of seeing him again, Selina runs to him and immediately jump to his embrace.


    Razlov gently receives and hugs her back. The feeling of each other''s warmth brings comfort to their hearts. Razlov and Selina look at each other and smile at the same time.


    The group of soldiers at the just smile at the scene of their commander having a soft expression, unlike the usual stern expression and authoritative tone. Although sometimes their commander let out a smile, there is still an air of someone who is above others around him.


    "Razlov, I got a piece of good news to tell you."


    When Selina told Razlov that she has good news to tell him, you can clearly see on her face that she is excited to tell him the news.


    "What good news?"


    Razlov just smiled at Selina, he already had a guess at what she is about to tell him but pretended that he doesn''t know anything and just wait for Selina to reveal it.


    "I''m pregnant"


    Silence, that was Razlov''s response when Selina declared that she is pregnant. Then Razlov pulls Selina into his embrace again.


    Selina is puzzled at Razlov''s silence, thinking that maybe he wasn''t happy of her being pregnant with their child and is about to cry that moist is already forming in the corner of her eyes while she is being pulled into his embrace. But then:


    "Thank you for being my woman"


    "Thank you for making a father of our child"


    "Thank you"


    This time Selina''s tear finally flows but this is not tears of sadness but tears of joy. No need for lengthy speeches just a few words are enough and being appreciated is already enough.


    After that, Razlov told Selina that he wishes to rent the whole Inn and Selina agree to it. But the customers that are still staying at the Inn must first check out before he can rent the whole Inn, right now he can only rent a few rooms for them and not the whole Inn and Razlov agree to it.


    Razlov arranges everything that his followers needed, he also allowed them to visit and stay at their own respective families for the rest of the day and come back to work tomorrow.


    While Razlov and Selina spend quality time together, talking about what happened this past two months. Razlov also told Selina about his relationship with 4 other women. He decided to be honest to Selina and told her the truth. He was ready to receive a scolding from Selina but that didn''t come.


    While laughing at him, Selina told him that having two or more wives is a social norm in this world, as long as the man is capable of supporting his two or more wives and their children that is considered normal. But due to poverty, most men are only capable of having a single wife and only rich men and nobles could marry multiple wives.


    Razlov finally understood why Selina was laughing at his naivety of this world''s common sense.


    The next day, when the soldiers went back after visiting and staying at their own families. Razlov instructed Adam and Lesia respective team to set up the radio communication devices at one of the rooms in the Inn that they rented and put the small tower on top of the Inn''s roof.


    After instructing Adam and Lesia teams, Razlov went to the mercenary guild to find a request that will let them earn big and will also act as a live-fire exercise for the soldiers.


    When Razlov entered the guild, it was the same as always in the days that he keeps coming here at the guild; boisterous. Even though it''s still early in the morning, people are already drinking instead of working.


    "Ara, isn''t it Razlov?"


    When Razlov was looking around the guild someone notices his presence and when he look who it is, it was Clarice the receptionist that he knew. Clarice was the receptionist that help him in registering at the guild and making the recruitment notice that he requested.


    "Long time no see Razlov"


    "So anything I can help you with?"


    Clarice greeted Razlov when she confirmed that her guess was right, from the weird clothes and its color which mix of green and brown: it was truly Razlov.


    "Long time no see also Clarice"


    "Actually, I have formed my own group and want to find a suitable job for us. And I would also like to inquire if it''s necessary to register every member of my group?"


    Razlov asks this, as when he first arrived here at the guild, he was required to register as a mercenary to be able to take in requests.


    "Well, it''s not really necessary to register every member of a group but the only who would be able to apply to do a request at the guild are the registered ones and you also need to register and sign some documents that entail the name of the mercenary band you formed and it''s members for documentation that will be kept in the guild and identification of your band."


    Razlov ponders for a bit and decided to register every single member of the group. He also filled the documents for registering his mercenary band and its members.


    And as for the name of their band, since their headquarters is at Rising Dragon Group of Islands. He named their group as:

 28 Chapter 28: Bandit Hunt 1

    After filling in the documents needed for registering, Razlov went to the bulletin where the requests are being posted. He checks every request he sees in the bulletin, he''s finding a request that will act as live-fire exercise and will let him earn big amount of money.


    Checking the different request at the bulletin, he could see request such as ''Escort job'' for merchants in their travels, ''Security job'' for protecting valuable items, ''Monster subjugation'' literally what it says, etc, etc.


    And finally, Razlov found the right request or job that he required and it was a ''Bandit subjugation''.


    The content of the job is to exterminate the bandit called ''Black vipers''. It is a notorious bandit that had been robbing merchants in the forest northeast of Sanloris which a road that leads to another noble''s territory.


    Their number counts are speculated from 15-20 members in total, making them fairly a big group of bandits and their leader has a bounty of 100 gold coins. The reward for the extermination of the group is 300 gold coins and plus the bounty making the total reward 400 gold coins.


    Pondering for a minute of whether the whole group that he brought should do the job or divide them into two and let each team do one job each.


    In the end, Razlov decided to separate the group into two and do a job each. He picks up the request that indicates the subjugation of the bandits called ''Black vipers'' and picks another one of the same type of requests.


    He brought the two request unto reception desk to register that their group will be doing the job.


    "Clarice, I would like to do this job"


    He showed the two request that he pick to Clarice.


    Clarice looks at the two requests that Razlov presented to her, Clarice frowns at seeing the content of the request. Then she looks at Razlov.


    "Are you sure you want to do this job; especially the subjugation of Black Viper? The bandit Black Viper is one of the dangerous bandit group around here. Can your group really handle it?"


    Looking at Clarice worried expression, it is safe to assume that Black Viper is really a dangerous group of bandits but Razlov have already decided to do the job cause of its high reward plus they will be fighting from a safe distance due to the type of weapon they are using. The enemy would already be dead before they even get close. But they still should not let their guard down as an accident may happen any time.


    "Yes, I''m sure we can handle it so let us do the job and be assured that we will complete it and return here safe and sound"


    Hearing his confirmation and seeing his confidence, Clarice immediately gave his approval and register that his group will be doing the job.


    Finish at what he intended to do at the guild, Razlov left the guild and went back to the Inn.


    When he arrives at the Inn, he immediately summons Adam and Lecia''s team. He instructed them to register at the guild and then he gave them money to pay for the fee.


    Receiving the instruction and the money, they all went to the guild to register and when they got back, Razlov summoned them for a briefing about the task that they will be doing.


    "Now that everyone is here, I will cut chase to the point."


    "Here in my hands are two request jobs of bandit subjugation. Each team will be doing one job and it''s up to the leader of each team to decide on how to plan and approach the mission that each team has been given. While I will be coming with you as an observer to asses on how each team performs."


    Then he looks at the two team leaders; Adam and Lecia.


    "Adam, your team will be the first to go and it would be up to your own discretion on how to complete the mission"


    "Same goes to you Lecia, right now you would be on standby."


    "Do you have any questions?" ask Razlov


    " "No sir!" "


    "Tomorrow, the first team will set off"


    "Okay, dismiss"


    After the short briefing, they all went out of the room and Adam''s team began preparing for tomorrow''s mission.

    The next day, Adam gathers his teammates and discuss on how to complete their mission; from planning and information gathering.


    While Razlov was only observing them from the sidelines to asses their overall performance.


    "Now, we will begin planning on how to subjugate the bandits Black Vipers and its leader named Python but first we need information."


    Adam looks at his teammates.


    "Mercy, Carl, I need you to gather information here in the town regarding about the bandits, go to Inn''s, Pubs, or the guild to get information especially in places where merchants gather; get any information you can get. While Mike, Cassie, and me, will go to the area where the bandit''s base is suspected to be."


    Then Adam took out five maps and distributed it to the others; four were clearly had just been copied and the other one is the original. Yesterday, Adam bought a map of Sanloris and its surrounding area which includes the forest where the bandit is supposedly located which is 10km away from Sanloris.


    "The area that the three of us will be surveying is these two areas that their base is most likely to be located"


    "After surveying area and gathering information about the bandits, we will meet at the outskirt of the forest at exactly seventeen hundred hours and move out at night then begin the mission."


    As Adam''s team is planning about the mission.


    Razlov was also observing them and listening to their conversation. Even though he''s just silent while observing them, inside his head, he keeps nodding at how they plan out the mission.


    Surveying the area, at this age that there are no satellite images and detailed maps, there''s no telling about an area''s geography and topography that would allow the people to use the best area or places to their advantage. That''s why surveying the area become''s essential in planning an operation or mission to get the best outcome.


    Information gathering, there''s no need to mention how important this is. Just the fact that information could change the tide of a battle, operation or war, already shows how important information is and even just as simple as how many enemies there are and their location could already change the situation or take advantage of it.


    That''s why Razlov is happy at his subordinates competence and decision making on how to plan. But of course, there''s still the action on how they implement or take advantage of the information they gathered.


    "Is there any questions?"


    "...."


    "Remember, always keep on contact with each other. Now switch your radio channel to six."


    "Okay, let''s go!"


    Then they went out and proceed to their respective task.


    The radio channel was set up by Razlov; from 1 to 4 is bases channels and from 5-10 is for other porpuses. Channel 1 is for morse code, that sends encrypted code/message to Kurlian Island which is also their HQ and back. Channel 2 is for their base at Sanloris which is temporary right now and 3-4 is for future bases. While channel 5-10, just like what Adam''s team did, they use channel 6 for this mission.


    The differentiation of radio communication and its channels was to avoid interferance that would cause confusion between different parties.

 29 Chapter 29: Bandit Hunt 2

    Adam''s team separated into two; those that gather information and those that survey''s the area where the bandits are supposedly located.


    The people that were given the task to gather information, scour the whole town''s Inn, Pubs, the guild, etc, etc. Especially the places where merchants gather in leisure time; specifically those merchants that use the road where the bandits do their robbery. They also keep in contact with their leader to report what they have found.


    While those assigned to survey or investigate the area search every nook and cranny to find where the base of the bandit. After searching from morning till afternoon they finally found where the bandits are staying. Finding what they came for, they memorize in their head the geography and topography of the bandits base surrounding, finding the best locations for entering the base, location for lookouts better view of the base, etc, etc.


    When the group was done with their respective task, they all meet at the designated location at exactly seventeen hundred hours. Then they started planning on how to break into the bandits base; of course, Razlov was also with them listening and observing them.


    The group looks at Razlov''s smiling face as he observes them. It made the group nervous about the possibility of making a blunder but they steeled themselves cause this is the moment of truth where all the hardship they endured during the training will come to fruition.


    "Now that we are all here, its time to lay out the intel we gather so far and plan out on how to invade their base, exterminate every hostile enemy or capture those that will surrender and then complete the mission"


    Adam has a stern face as he looks at his teammates, he could see that all of them has the same expression as him; serious.


    "From our investigation, we found out that the base of the bandits is in-between the ravine of the two cliff that is 5 meters wide at the entrance then it gets wider as you go further and its approximately 20 meters deep at the end of it is an encampment and a cave which serves as the base of the bandits."


    Adam was explaining the layout of the bandit''s base and also drawing it.


    "Their whole base is composed of an encampment that has a single watchtower, four tents, and a cave. From Mercy and Carl''s report and also from our observation, we can estimate that there are 16-18 hostile enemies."


    "Now unto how to advance, because of the location of the base, it would be hard for the lookout to find where to position. Except for a big tree just 20 meters away, that is directly facing the entrance and could view the whole camp. There is also the issue about the cave but if my guess is correct the cave must not be too deep and it should be the place where they keep all the goods that they have robbed"


    Adam looks at his teammates then stop at one of the young women in their team. Adam''s team is composed of 3 young men; Adam, Carl, and Mike, and 2 young women; Mercy, and Cassie.


    "Mercy, as you are the best shooter in our team, you would be assigned to be the lookout and sniper of our team by position yourself atop the tree. While the rest will follow me to storm into their base."


    "Now, is there any question?"


    When Adam asked if there''s any question one of the females in his group raise her hand; which is Cassie.


    "Cassie, what is it?"


    "Sir, what if the enemy escapes into the cave?"


    Razlov nodded in approval and glad that someone pointed out this problem. Because of their current lack of equipment like tear gas grenade, they would have no way of flushing out the enemy making the situation difficult.


    "Regarding that, we must prevent the enemies from escaping into the cave but if they really manage to enter into the cave. We would have no choice but to assault the cave."


    "Mercy, after we storm into the camp watch out and kill any enemies trying to escape into the cave."


    "Roger!"


    Mercy nodded in confirmation regarding the task she was given.


    "Any further question?"


    "...."


    "Now make preparation and be ready to move out!"


    " "Haa!" "

    When night falls, Adam''s team was already on their way to the bandit''s base. Their mission is to subjugate the bandit Black Vipers, they must take them by surprise so night became the perfect time for it.


    They proceeded on their way to where they saw the bandit''s base is located. When they arrive at the location, Carl went to scout and check the situation on the bandit''s camp and went back to report.


    "The bandits are having a meal right now but there are five bandits guarding the vicinity of the camp, one on the watchtower and four people on the ground patrolling in pairs."


    "Okay"


    Adam, then look around his teammates with a stern expression.


    "Just follow the drill and stick to the plan then everything else will flow smoothly"


    " "Roger" "


    "Now check your gears"


    Then they all went and check their gears as they don''t want any mishap to happen during the mission. From their rifles to grenades, they check everything if they are right in position and ready.


    "Alright, let''s move out"


    Then they all move out.


    Adam, Carl, Mike, and Cassie went outside the entrance where the bandit''s base is located and ready to storm the place.


    "We are in position"


    While Mercy went to her designated place; the big tree. She climbs the tree like an agile monkey and even through the darkness of the night, she still manages to climb the tree.


    She positioned herself in-between a (Y) branch and lean at it, where she is directly facing where the enemy camp is located. She readies her Dragunov and pointed it where the camp is.


    "I''m in position"


    Receiving the message through the radio, Adam looks at his comrades and gave a nod.


    "Mercy, target the one on the tower and continue to give us support fire as we advance. Once we are inside the camp watch out and kill any enemy that is trying to escape into the cave."


    "Copy that"


    When Adam receives Mercy''s confirmation, he and his three other comrades ready themselves to storm in.


    "Fire when ready, that will be our cue"


    As soon as he finishes talking, he heard a loud *bang* that echoes through the night.


    "GO!, GO!, GO!"


    Adam and three others immediately move into the ravine, they all move in haste while pointing their rifles ahead. Even though there is still some distance, through the light of the torches they could see that the bandits are stunned and confused about what just happened.


    "Wh~" "Guhh"


    Before one of the bandits could even talk, he was shot right in the head. When the other bandit saw his comrade fall and is it not moving anymore, he finally realizes and woke up from his stunned state.


    "ENEMY ATTACK!!~" "Guhh"


    Right after he yelled, he got immediately shot dead.


    It was right at that moment that Adam and the other three arrive at the gate of the base.


    When the alerted bandits saw foreign people at the gate that were wearing weird attire and holding weird staff; clearly not their comrades and it''s obviously the enemies. They immediately ready their swords and charge to attack the enemies.


    "Open fire!"


    Adam immediately ordered to fire and begin shooting when he saw the bandits charging at them.


    Fire spawn out of the muzzle of Adam and the other three''s rifles, killing every enemy that is charging at them.


    "Carl, you go to the right""Mike, you go left""Cassie, guard our backs"


    Adam ordered his subordinates in haste that his mouth is rapidly moving, not wasting any time as they move in further into the camp.


    Sounds of gunfire echoes throughout the ravine as Adam and his subordinates advance further into the camp, killing every enemy that charges at them, enemies picking up their weapons, or enemies that are inside the tent trying to ambush them. They did not spare any hostile enemy.


    "Enemies moving into the cave, Engaging"


    Mercy who was monitoring the whole situation and watching out for any enemies trying to escape into the cave. She notices two people running towards the cave, she immediately gave a report and shot the enemies.


    *bang!**bang!*


    "Enemies has been neutralized"


    "Copy that"


    Gunfire continued to echo through the ravine as Adam and his subordinates continue to sweep through the whole camp. When Adam and Cassie reach the entrance into the cave they stop moving further, Carl and Mike also stop when they reach the end of the camp.


    "Report"


    "Clear!"


    "Clear!"


    "Captured two enemies hiding in the tent"


    "No enemies manage to enter the cave"


    Adam finally heaves a sigh of relief but they still didn''t let their guard down and are still vigilant. It did not even take 5 minutes to kill every hostile enemy, capture those who have surrendered, and occupy the whole camp.


    Adam looked around the camp and sends a message through the radio.


    "Mission Complete"

 30 Chapter 30: Scolding and Reward

    After the battle, it''s time to deal with the aftermath. Adam and his team interrogated the two captured enemy and tied them up.


    From their interrogation, they learned that there are two leaders in their group and those two were the two people who tried to escape towards the cave and later was shot dead by Mercy. They also learned from the two captured enemy that Adam''s guess was entirely correct, the stolen goods were really being kept in the cave.


    Learning of that, Razlov, Adam, and Mercy went to the cave. And what they saw inside the cave was not only the stolen goods but also prisoners. There is a total of ten prisoners in the cave and all of them are female. When Razlov talked to them, he learned that they are being kept here then they would later be sold as slaves and they also haven''t been touch by the bandits; as the bandits said that ''damage goods would lose its value''.


    Razlov ordered Mercy to check and make a list of all the stolen goods then report it to him later. While Razlov and Adam went to where the female prisoners and freed them, he also gave them food and shelter cause currently, it is still night; two of the tents that were previously used by the bandits.


    After Mercy was done with the task she was given, she went towards Razlov and made a report.


    "Commander, I''ve already finished checking the bandit''s stolen goods. After checking all the goods I''ve confirmed that there are 800 gold coins, 30 different types of jewelry, 50 precious stones, 100 iron ingots, a bunch of weapons and armors, and perishable goods; that''s all."


    "That concludes my report"


    When Razlov heard the report, he fell into silence.


    Mercy who noticed that Razlov was not talking tried to call out to him.


    "C~Commander?"


    "Hehe"


    "HAHAHA!!"


    "I''m rich! I''m rich! I''m f*cking rich!"


    "HAHAHA!"


    The sudden outburst of Razlov shock Adam and his team, especially Mercy as she was nearest to Razlov; even the rescued females was shocked at him that most of them drop the food that they were eating.


    "Umm, Commander, shouldn''t we return the goods since they were stolen"


    As Razlov was laughing to his heart''s content, he suddenly stops when he heard what Mercy said and stared at her in disbelief; unable to believe that she would suggest that.


    "Why?"


    Razlov suddenly asks her why she would suggest that.


    "B~Because it is the right thing to do"


    Razlov stared at her further in disbelief, he looks around and could see that she and her team have that same opinion as they nodded at Mercy in approval. Razlov feels like having a headache at his subordinates naivety and idiocy.


    "Idiots!!"


    "We are not good samaritan or saints; for God sake! So why should we return it? In the first place, if you look closely at the request paper, there is no indication that we should return the stolen goods, so why should we; Haa?"


    "And the weapons and ammunition you used to complete this mission and keeps your life intact, do you think it just came out of nowhere? It cost an astronomical amount of money; Goddammit!"


    When Razlov pointed that out, Adam and his team finally realize it that the weapons and ammunition they''re using must have cost a sum of money; especially the ammunition, during training and even right now, they must have consumed thousands upon thousands of rounds of it and it must have cost a fortune.


    As Adam and his team realize that, they finally understood why their commander was being greedy that he was not willing to return the stolen goods.


    For 5 minutes, Razlov keeps scolding Adam and his team''s naivety and idiocy. While Adam and his team just keep looking down accepting the scolding they are receiving.


    "Just remember this: everyone in this world consciously or sub-consciously working for their own benefit; even me."


    "I know what you all are thinking; what about those that care for their families and friends?"


    "Well, they are people that consider their wife, husband, children, father, mother, brothers, sisters, friends, part of themselves. So anything that they did for their families and friends can be considered working for their own benefit."


    "Remember that"


    "Do you get me!?"


    " "WE GOT YOU, SIR!!" "


    "Good, now let''s prepare and rest, for tomorrow we will move out and return to Sanloris"


    Then they move out all the stolen goods out of the cave, to prepare for tomorrow''s departure. When Razlov saw the shining gold coins, a bunch of jewelry, and precious stones, he couldn''t help but smile and feel elated.


    "Hehe, just imagining it that all the equipment that we currently needed will be acquired is making me excited and happy at the same time."


    Seeing their Commander''s greedy look and evil smile while uttering, they could only smile wryly at him. Even though they have not seen the equipment that their Commander was talking about, they also feel excited about it. Just the rifles, handguns, and frag grenades they are using are already mind-boggling to them, what about the equipment that their Commander was talking about?

    The next day, when the sun had already risen, Razlov, Adam and his team, plus the ten rescued females, were already on their way back to Sanloris. They also brought the two captured bandits and the corpse of their leader ''Python''.


    When they arrive at Sanloris, Razlov ordered Carl and Cassie to take the goods they have acquired and bring it back to the Inn. While Razlov and the rest went to the guard to turn over the captured bandits, their leader''s corpse and the ten rescued females and get the confirmation paper for completing the request.


    After completing the procedure, Razlov learned from the guard captain that it''s not in their jurisdiction to receive and help the rescued prisoners return to their homes. When Razlov told them what the guard captain said and they told him that they all understood and they will just find their own way to return to their homes. Razlov hesitated for a second, in the end, he gave them money to spend on their food, lodging, and their journey back to their homes. Then Razlov left them and went to the guild to show the confirmation paper that he already completed the request and receive the reward and bounty.


    Receiving a total of 400 gold coins from the reward of completing the request/job and from the bounty of Python the bandit leader, Razlov was elated that his funds had increased cause after a month he would already be bankrupt if he didn''t get any money but that''s not the case now as he has already additional funds and more are coming.


    Razlov went back to the Inn with a smile on his face but before going back to the Inn he searches first an illegal trader to sell all the stolen goods he acquired; except for the iron ingot cause maybe later he would find uses for them. After searching, he finally found one and talked to the merchant about his plan to sell the goods, they keep negotiating until they reach a consensus that benefited each other.


    When Razlov arrives at the Inn, he greeted Selina then gave her a kiss and after that, he ordered Adam and Mike to take the goods and follow him then they went to the merchant Razlov has a transaction with. After selling all the goods, Razlov receives a total of 900 gold coins from selling jewelry, precious stones, weapons, and armors.


    With the reward from completing the request/job, the bounty of the bandit leader, and the money and goods that they looted and just sold right now, totaling 2100 gold coins plus the 160 gold coins left, their total funds have risen to 2260 gold coins.


    With this amount of money, Razlov is excited about the prospect of acquiring additional equipment with this money.

 31 Chapter 31: Purchasing Privilege Token

    When the transaction was completed, Razlov and the merchant Wally shake hands with each other and both let out an evil smile at the same time as if they understood what each other was thinking.


    Previously when Razlov was negotiating with Wally, Razlov asked to be given a fair price since selling stolen goods has its shares of danger for both parties, so its price is a bit lower than those in the market. Wally pondered for a minute before he suddenly asked Razlov where he got the goods then Razlov told him that he got it from a group of bandits that were requested to be subjugated and that he was a mercenary. After that, Wally agreed to Razlov''s request but on the condition that from then on Razlov would sell the goods that they had looted to him and Razlov agreed to it; now they are partners(in crime).


    Razlov left Wally''s place along with Adam and Mike then went back to the Inn when he arrived at the Inn he called out the rest of Adam''s team and when they gathered he gave them 10 gold coins each; their reward for completing the request/job.


    When they receive their respective reward for completing the request, each and every one of them was happy beyond words could express since it''s their first time having such amount of money. They did not even question Razlov since they all trust him and their Commander would not use that money for his own personal gain.


    After Adam''s team left, Razlov called out to Lecia''s team. He then told them to prepare themselves cause tomorrow it will be their turn to be tested.


    And the next day, Lecia''s team set off to gather information and survey or investigate the area where their targeted bandits are supposedly located. Lecia''s team assigned request/job destination was farther than Adam''s team so they have to be efficient with their time.


    Lecia and her team manage to do the necessary things right on time and they have already gathered just before night falls and are preparing or planning to storm the bandit''s base.


    Just like Adam and his team, everything went smoothly for Lecia and her team at completing the mission. But the loots was not as abundant as Adam''s team, there were only 500 gold coins, 10 types of jewelry, 80 iron ingots, 50 pieces of leather, 5 sacks of sugar, weapons, and armors, that the total of the stolen goods the bandits have.


    When they returned to Sanloris, Razlov immediately went to the guard and get confirmation paper then went to the guild to get the reward of 250 gold coins plus 80 gold coins for the bounty and dumps those stolen goods to Wally. There was no need for haggling with Wally since they already have an agreement. Razlov then receives a payment of 400 gold coins from selling those stolen goods.


    Razlov gets an overall amount of 1230 from the latest request/job they did and with the addition of 2210 gold coins, he has now a total of 3440 gold coins.


    After receiving the payment for the goods, Razlov returns to the Inn.


    Arriving at the Inn, Razlov gathered the rest of his subordinates for he has an announcement to make.


    "In 3 day time from tomorrow onwards, all of you will be given free time. You can visit your families to relax or discuss the plans of migrating to Kurlian Island or you can also do some mercenary jobs and the reward will be yours, no need to give it to the organization, it''s yours, personally; it''s up to you to choose what to do during your free time but you can only use a thousand rounds of ammunition. After that, you will work again for the organization. That''s all"


    "Also, contact Kurlian Island, tell them that let the two helpers come to Sanloris to resupply and fetch me cause I will be going back to the island."

    And so 3 days went pass and in the morning, the boat from Kurlian Island came to Sanloris. They bought all the supplies needed and Razlov boarded the boat. After a whole morning of buying and stocking the needed supplies onboard, they finally left the port in the afternoon and set off back to Kurlian Island.


    Arriving at the island, Razlov ordered the remaining team on the island to gather and told them to prepare cause in 4 days time they would be embarking towards Sanloris and would be exchanging those that have remained at Sanloris. He also visited the four pregnant woman, Carla, Emelia, Mila, and Anna, he spends a whole day and night with them.


    The next day, Razlov went to the beach alone and open the system Item shop window to convert 3000 gold coins to CP. After he converted the gold coins, he browses the Item shop window to the category where the list of Privilege token could be seen. Then he purchases the Privilege token for Insta-Build of a small military harbor for 1400 CP; now, he''s CP is down to 1600 CP.


    Razlov chooses the small military harbor''s Insta-Build Privilege token since it can be upgraded with Upgrade Privilege token. This Privilege token was discovered by Razlov after completing the first System Mission. Just like the Military Harbor, the Army Boot Camp can also be upgraded. Later, the Army Boot Camp and the Military Harbor can be upgraded to have garage, landing pads, oil depot, and many more. It can also be with additional buildings and extended it with the help of the Upgrade Privilege token.

The whole Harbor was 100 meters in length so he had no problem in placing the warehouse, oil tank, crane, repair and maintenance station into the places he wanted them to be since there''s much space available.

    After customizing the Harbor, Razlov checks it again to see if everything was right. Seeing no problem with it, he clicks the ''Done'' menu on customizing the Harbor.

    When Razlov was done with placing the Harbor at his desired place and customizing it, he returned to the camp and wait until the building of the Harbor is complete while he was also browsing for a boat that he can purchase with the remaining CP.

 32 Chapter 32: Patrol Boat Acquired

    As Razlov was browsing the system Item shop, he noticed that almost all of the things listed are World War 1 or World War 2 relic like Renault FT, M4 Sherman, U-boat, Panzer 1, etc, etc. The list contains guns, land vehicles, planes, ships, and even artilleries, all are war machine used during the two World Wars in his previous life.


    Razlov keeps searching all the categories and all he found was those relics from the World Wars. There''s actually zero modern weaponry at the Item shop, all he could do is just give up and just settle with those that are currently available.


    Selecting the ''Ships'' category then going to the ''Patrol Boats'' section. Razlov searches the list for a suitable boat that their remaining funds can afford. He needed the boat because of the issue of travel between Kurlian Island and Sanloris or mainland to be specific.


    Traveling from Kurlian Island to Sanloris takes 3 days and it''s already the fastest if the weather is good during the travel and it would take 4-5 days when the weather is bad which is a pain in the ass and not time efficient. So what Razlov needed right now is a boat to ease travel in the sea between two places.


    As Razlov was searching for a boat, he could see that all kinds of it, from small boats which can be manned by a 3-5 crew to big ones that can carry up to 30 crew and all of them are affordable only if he has the money to afford it. The biggest patrol boat that he saw was 8000 CP in price and it can be operated by 10-12 crew and can carry up to 30 people; Razlov really wanted to buy this but right now he doesn''t have the amount to purchase it.


    After searching for a while, Razlov finally found the right boat, it''s an Activity-class Patrol Boat that was used during World War II and he could afford it cause it only cost 1500 CP which is important cause he''s funds are limited right at the moment. He really wanted to buy it immediately but restrain himself from doing it cause right now the harbor is still not complete.

    When Razlov heard the system''s notification, he immediately opens the Item shop window and purchases the boat that he found the other day. As he saw the boat in the Item shop window, he did not waste any time and immediately purchase it.

    Razlov heave a sigh of relief when he heard that the boat has been transferred to the harbor cause his inventory is limit and cannot put it inside because of it''s size. Right now he is in the camp, just imagine that a boat of that size suddenly appearing in the middle of the camp would certainly cause panic and headache to him.


    Arriving at the Harbor, Razlov could see that everything was in place. He continues to walk further inside into the place where boats or ships are usually anchored. When he arrives at the place, he sees the boat that he purchased.


    The boat is maybe 10-12 meters in length, it can be operated by 5-8 crews and there are living quarters and storage room for food inside the boat''s deck. Its arsenals are one 40mm anti-air gun which is the main gun and four .50 caliber Browning machine gun emplacement, one on each side of the boat and two at the back of the boat.

    Satisfied with the boat, Razlov keeps nodding as he checks every part of the boat. In this age that the ships or boat are made out of wood, Razlov boat would surely decimate any ship or boat that tries to attack them. In the future and even right now with the acquisition of this patrol boat they have already gain naval superiority making them invincible in the sea.


    Before going back to the camp he already converted 300 gold coins into CP and bought ammunition and fuel for the boat then he stored it inside or load the guns and refuel the boat in full making his state of funds back to being poor again but Razlov was satisfied with his spending; it was worth it.


    Arriving at the camp, he summoned the two teams and the 2 helpers and ordered them to follow him. On the way to the harbor, the group was confused at first, they have never been in this part of the island cause usually their lives revolve around the camp and its surroundings to the beach where they park the fishing boat that they use to travel between the island and Sanloris.


    When they arrive and saw the harbor they were all stunned speechless at what they saw.


    "W~What is this?"


    "Is that port? It''s a port, right?"


    "I''ve never seen a port like this, it''s much more impressive than the port at Sanloris"


    The group keeps looking around like country bumpkins first time visiting a big city and keeps making a ruckus as they continued on further into the harbor.


    When they arrive at the place where the boat was anchored, Razlov stops and look back at the crowd that was following him then he pointed at the boat.


    "From now on, this boat is the one that we will be using instead of the fishing boat that we have been using in the past."


    Looking at where their Commander is pointing his finger, they were all stunned again at what they saw. Then they look at their Commander in disbelief thinking ''How is this a boat? It doesn''t even have a sail on it'' or '' What kind of boat is that, does it even float since it''s made of metal''.


    Seeing their disbelieving look, Razlov could understand that since it''s their first time seeing something so unreal like the fact that metal doesn''t float in the water, so why would they believe that this boat can actually float.


    "It seems like you all don''t believe me, in that case, I just have to show it you all"


    "Come on. let''s board the boat"


    Arriving at the helm of the boat, Razlov press the start button to start the engine. With the sound of the engine starting, Razlov reminiscence and thought ''Ah, the sound of civilization and modernization''.


    Razlov couldn''t be blamed with these thoughts of his since this world is really outdated and its still in the medieval age. So the sound that he always hear back on his previous life that was sometimes annoying is really music to the ears right now.


    After the chain that ties the boat to the harbor was release, he slowly pushes forward the engine lever to move the boat forward.


    When the crowd saw that metal boat or patrol boat at how their Commander address it start moving further into the sea and away from the harbor, each and every one of them gawked and speechless at what they are experiencing right now. They would have never believed that something like this can actually float even though its made of metal and can move even though it doesn''t have any sail.

 33 Chapter 33: Operating the Patrol Boat and the Gun

    Driving the patrol boat, Razlov went east 5 kilometers away from the island in the direction of Sanloris. As the patrol boat travels, Razlov drove the patrol boat into many different directions and sometimes he would go into circles.


    While the other people on board, after the initial shock they experience they are now excited that they keep roaming every part of the boat, trying to see how this thing moves on its own.


    Razlov drove the patrol boat for about an hour then he called to the people on board.


    "Alright, now that you''ve seen its capabilities it is now time for me to teach you how to operate it since from now onwards we will be using this patrol boat as our means of travel from the island to other destinations."


    Hearing what their Commander had said that he will be teaching them how to operate it, they were all excited and couldn''t wait to drive the patrol; especially the two helpers since they are the ones who would use the patrol boat often. The two helpers finally understood why their Commander brought the two of them even though they are not mercenary and only utility personnel.


    Razlov taught each and every one of them on how to operate the patrol boat. Actually, driving the patrol boat is easy as pie, the real difficult part is on how to navigate the boat in the middle of the sea since there is no indicator ''--> 20km away from Sanloris'' like that in the middle of the sea that would point out direction and distance. Good thing though that there is a compass that is installed on the patrol boat and that he taught those cadets back then on how to use the compass making it easy for him to teach them on how to navigate the sea. But that''s only in the surrounding seas since they have a shorter distance but if it''s in the open waters like oceans, navigating through compass is already impossible. In open waters, you would need to use a compass for direction while through reading the longitude and latitude you would be able to know the coordinates and distance of a place for you to travel. That''s why if the situation of this world is like that of his previous life, Razlov would need to hire astrologers and give them knowledge from his previous life through books and equipment to measure and set the longitude and latitude of this world.


    But right now, he doesn''t need to mind it instead what he should do right now is focus on making his Private force stronger and earn a large sum of money to buy all the necessary equipment they needed and teach them how to operate the patrol boat right at this moment.


    For two hours, he had been teaching each and every one them on how to operate the patrol boat, giving them 10 minutes of driving the patrol boat per person as Razlov taught them how. When all of them have already finished their turn, Razlov drives the patrol boat back to the island and when they return it was exactly the time for lunch.


    "Now that all of knows how to operate it. This afternoon I will be teaching all of you on how to use or operate its weaponry. But right now, we first need to eat cause it''s already time for lunch"


    "Now let''s go back to the camp"


    And so, they all went back to the camp and eat their meals.


    When it was already in the afternoon they have already gathered at the Harbor. But before they gathered, on their way to the harbor Razlov have ordered some people to put the fishing boat that they have previously been using on the sea and let is sail adrift cause it will be their target during their target practice using the weaponry of the boat.


    Arriving at a distance of 500 meters away from the drifting boat, he slowed the boat and let one of the helpers drive it then he went down and head to the front where the 40mm anti-air and surface gun is emplaced.


    "This patrol boat''s main gun is this single sit and single barrel 40mm gun or machine gun; call it whatever you want. This gun can be used as an anti-air gun to shoot down any monster or enemy that is flying up in the air and it could also be used as a surface gun when facing enemy ships, boat, or even fortresses. But different targets need different ammunition, for example, enemies that are flying up in the air what you need is time detonation shell rounds but we will not be discussing about right now cause we will not likely use it at the moment and we don''t have that type of ammunition but maybe in the future we will."

    "What we have right now and we will use right now are the high explosive or HE shell rounds for short that explode upon impact and the armor penetration shell rounds that as its name suggest."


    When Razlov picks up the two ammo for the gun, all of them were shocked to the extreme after seeing the size of the two which is as thick of a babies legs and as long as a babies arm.


    "I know what you all are thinking, that''s right when a person is hit by this kind of round he will either have a big hole on his body or be blasted to kingdom come that the only things will remain are dregs of his former self. But this is not used for anti-personnel cause it''s waste instead it should be used on bigger targets"


    As Razlov was talking, the rest of the people on board the boat keep nodding that they agree at his explanation regarding when it is used to target a human and how it should not be used on a human.


    "This 40mm gun can be operated by exactly 3 crews, the gunner which select the target and where to point the gun, the loader which picks ammunition that is in clips from the ammunition can then load it into the gun, and the last is the person who carries the ammunition placing it into the ammunition can for the loader to pick it up."


    "Now I will demonstrate to you on how to operate the gun"


    And so Razlov started on how to demonstrate the gun. He first picks the clip with ammo attach to it and load it to the gun next he went and sit in the gunner''s sit rotate the pointer handwheel to rotate the gun and pointed the barrel into the direction of the target which is the fishing boat then make some few adjustment base on the sight to hit the target, once the target was on sight he step on the firing paddle to fire the gun.


    *BANG!!* *BANG!!* BANG!!* *BANG!!*


    Loud explosions through the firing of the gun echoed in the surrounding space. You could see in the distance that the fishing boat has been decimated into pieces by four continues fire of the gun.


    Looking back and forth in awe at the destruction of the fishing boat and the destructive power of the gun, they look at Razlov eager and excited to try the gun for themselves.


    Seeing that look of their''s, Razlov couldn''t help but smile. Then he let each one them to operate the gun. He did first groups them into four with three members each group, then the group will keep interchanging between the gunner, the loader, and person who places the ammunition in the ammo can and the gunner can only fire four shell rounds; exactly one clip of ammunition.


    Next, he taught them how to use the .50 caliber Browning machine gun and since the machine gun was much easy to operate it did not take long of him teaching how to use it and everything went smoothly as they each take their turn.

 34 Chapter 34: Arriving and Trusting

    The group of soldiers and helpers keep practicing until all the ammo that Razlov have bought was exhausted. When all the ammo has been used up, some of them have that look of satisfaction and discontent shown on their faces.


    Razlov could only smile wryly when he saw that some of them are discontented of not being able to use and fire the 40mm gun to their heart''s content.


    Then they went back to the Harbor and return to the camp.


    For the remaining two days before they set sail back to Sanloris, Razlov let the group and the two helpers use the patrol boat for practice from morning till sundown, not even minding the fuel being spent. Razlov has no issue regarding the group using the patrol boat and about the fuel being spent because the patrol boat can last for about 10 days of travel in the sea without rest or refueling it. So he just let them use it since it will also serve as training for them to learn how to maneuver the boat until the two days are over.


    When the two days time was over, Razlov and the 2 teams started their journey back to Sanloris with the two helpers. Their journey did not even take a day to arrive at Sanloris, they left the island and set sail in the afternoon then arrive at Sanloris before sunrise. All the people on board the boat were in awe at the speed of their travel; except for Razlov as he has no qualms about how fast they have traveled since this boat travels at the speed of 5 knots or 35 kilometers per hour.


    When the patrol boat was just about a kilometer away from the port of Sanloris, all of the fishermen that have set sail early in the morning were stunned and shock when they encounter and saw the patrol boat that sails without sail and made out of metal. They keep looking at the boat that it seems like their eyes were glued on it while they keep following it in their sight as it passes them that their neck is about break. And even the people at the port were the same when the patrol boat docks at the port.


    Disembarking the boat, people keep looking at Razlov and his group but he just takes no notice of it as he continues to make his way unto the Inn.


    Arriving at the Inn, what greeted Razlov was Adam and Lecia''s teams relaxing while drinking. When Adam saw him, he immediately stands up, straightens himself and gave a salute.


    "Officer on house!"


    When the rest heard Adam they immediately stand up, look at the direction where Razlov is, then they straighten themselves up, and gave a salute.


    Selina who was at the counter was startled when she suddenly heard Adam gave a shout and she was then surprised when the rest of people suddenly stands up and greeted Razlov.


    "At Ease"


    When they heard Razlov they still did not ease instead they all remain standing and seems worried. And so Razlov gazes at them in a perplex look.


    "Commander, th~this is, ah"


    Seeing them like that; bothered and unease. He finally understands what they are worried about.


    "Relax, I don''t intend to punish you or prevent you from drinking as long as you are off duty there are no problems with it. Just control the amount you drink"


    "Continue what you''ve all been doing and you don''t have to mind me"


    After hearing that they would not be punished for drinking, they all heave a sigh of relief. As they were about to get back from drinking they saw their other comrades that have been left in the island here at Sanloris. They all greeted each other and invite them to drink and Razlov gave his approval.


    Then Razlov walks toward the counter where Selina is.


    "Were you surprised at how they greeted me?"


    Selina was still in awe when she heard Razlov, she then looks at him and smiles.


    "Yeah, surprised that I almost went into labor"


    Razlov wryly smiled at Selina''s joke, he then flicks her forehead lightly.


    "It would be in another 8 months before it happens"


    They then both smiled at each and then they started chatting with each other. They only stop chatting when they notice that Lecia with two others was waiting for them to finish chatting.


    "What is it, Lecia?"


    "Commander, here are the results and reports when we did some request."


    Razlov receives 2 big pouches of gold coins and piece of paper containing the jobs they''ve done during the time he was away and it''s reward with also regarding how much they''ve earned when they sold some goods to Wally.


    From the report, they did a total of 5 jobs; two of them are bandit subjugation request. They then manage to earn a total of 2000 gold coins from the reward and selling of goods.


    "Good work, later I will give all of your rewards. You may leave if that''s all."


    When Lecia heard Razlov that she can already leave, she was troubled. Wondering whether she should ask Razlov or not. In the end, she decided to ask.


    "Um, Commander, aren''t you gonna ask about the details regarding when we did some personal jobs?"


    He then looks at Lecia and said.


    "Why would I? I give you my permission so there''s no need to plus, I trust all of you"


    When she heard what Razlov have said, she was emotionally touched that he trusts them and promise in her heart that she will never betray their Commander''s trust. And even the rest of Razlov''s subordinates who are just listening were touched when they heard him and also promises that they will never betray him.


    After that, they continue chatting with each other making the whole Inn boisterous. Those who experience operating the patrol boat and firing the 40mm gun keep boasting about what they personally experience when they use it to those who have not experience it yet since they all remained here at Sanloris. Hearing what their comrades said about the boat and the gun, they are all eager and excited to personally experience using it making them look at each other as they understand something. Before Razlov left Sanloris 7 days ago, they heard him said ''that with the money they have earned he would surely be able to buy new equipment'' and now they knew what equipment their Commander was murmuring about.


    Razlov just keeps listening to their conversation with a smile since what they have seen and experience was only the tip of the iceberg. What they are using right now are outdated and they have never seen or experience yet the true might of modern weapon.


    The soldiers keep drinking and chatting until night falls and all of them were drunk and Razlov just let them be since it''s their free time anyway. And they also have to release some steam sometimes.


    While Razlov was only chatting with Selina since she is not allowed to drink because of her pregnancy and Razlov would not allow it even if it''s okay.

 35 Chapter 35: Spread the Dragon Force Name

    The next day, Razlov gave the reward he promised to those who have done requests in his absence and then he asks them if their own families have already decided to migrate to Kurlian Island, as it would it be convenient in that way so that they wouldn''t need to visit Sanloris every time they miss and wants to visit their families. Then they told Razlov that their families agreed to it that even their older siblings that already have families of their own decided to also migrate to Kurlian Island.


    Razlov easily agreed to their siblings who already have their own families migrating to Kurlian Island. Because in the future when they already have their own manufacturing capabilities, they would need all the necessary manpower to help them manufacture weapons and ammunition cause they could not always rely on the system Item shop.


    He told them that the migration plan will start a month from now on at the 2nd month of Ferina. Because right now Kurlian Island has no living space and they would still need to build houses to those who are planning to migrate. They would first need to send men of each respective families to help out building the houses. When the houses are already built it would then the start for the rest of their families to migrate to Kurlian Island.


    Those soldiers whose families have already agreed in migrating to Kurlian Island nodded in approval of what their Commander had said. While those soldiers who haven''t discuss it with their families about the plan on migrating to Kurlian Island asks Razlov if they could leave and visit their families to discuss the plan on migrating to the island and Razlov gave his approval.


    In the end, all their families decided to migrate to Kurlian Island. So Razlov started considering on how building the houses, he doesn''t have a problem with adhesive since he could acquire cement in the system''s Item shop, the real problem is he doesn''t know how to build houses like designs for the house for it be sturdy or setting its foundation, there''s also the issue of bricks as he doesn''t know how to make them and so Razlov decided to hire an expert.


    He is also considering giving them ways to earn money as they require supplies that are not available on the island since Kurlian Island is far from Sanloris. They can use the money they''ve earned to buy what they need at Sanloris as they could also board the patrol boat when the helpers are going to Sanloris to resupply.


    With the knowledge from his previous life, Razlov could introduce many different ways to earn money or like those people from his previous life that initiate and teach livelihood programs to poor people.


    But that''s all for now and he will decide later when the construction has already started since he still needs to observe the state of affairs during construction of the houses.

    After Adam and Lecia''s team turn, it is now time for Mark and Nelson''s teams to test their capabilities through a live-fire exercise while Adam and Lecia''s team went back to the island.


    But before they departed, Razlov had already converted 1000 gold coins to CP and use it all up to buy the needed amount of ammunition and fuels for the patrol boat to let the departing teams carry and load it unto the patrol boat; Razlov was left with remaining funds of 1140 gold coins. He also instructed the two helpers to let the departing teams try operating the boat and firing the guns at a limited amount of ammo just like how he did let them try, he also told Adam and Lecia''s teams to listen to the instruction of the two helpers since they already knew the things to know.


    For the past 5 days, Mark and Nelson''s teams got their turn to be tested through live-fire exercise as Razlov followed and observed them. And just like the two previous teams, everything went smoothly that they have finished their jobs without even taking a day long to complete the job. The only reason why it had taken 5 days for them to complete the two jobs was because of the distance of where the targets are.


    From the reward of completing the request to selling the goods to Wally, Razlov manage to acquire 1700 golds coins plus 1140 he now has a total of 2840 gold coins.


    Razlov keeps nodding as he counts the gold coins while having thoughts '' Targeting big group of bandit''s really earned us a lot maybe we should just keep hunting them down'' and soon as he thought of hunting down big groups of bandits, he shook that notion instantly since it is not practical to keep doing that. In the end, it would only scare the other group of bandit''s that they will either go into hiding or completely disband their group; so obviously, it''s not the right choice of action they should take.


    ''Hmm, what we should do right now is get contracts from big clients since we would surely earn big from working with them''


    "Nelson!"


    As Razlov was murmuring while walking away from Wally''s place back to the Inn, Razlov suddenly called out to Nelson who was with him to sell the goods to Wally along with Mark. Nelson who was startled at the sudden call.


    "Y~Yes, Commander"


    "Since you look knowledgable, what do you think we should do to attract big clients and how should we do it?"


    Nelson pondered for a moment before he answers Razlov''s question.


    "I think we should first make a name for ourselves, regarding how we should do it. Um, I''m sorry Commander, don''t have any idea that comes to my mind"


    Nelson''s head was hanged low in the disappointment of not being able to answer Razlov''s question.


    "Don''t worry about it, I was just casually asking"


    Razlov gave Nelson a reassuring smile making Nelson recover from his disappointed state, he then apologizes again. Razlov then looks at the other person along with them; Mark.


    "How about you Mark, how do you think can we make a name for ourselves?"


    "We just have to complete all the request in the guild and with that, we could at least grab some attention of one or two clients"


    Even though Mark had just said it casually and without even thinking deeply into it. It made Razlov pondered for a bit.


    ''That''s right since we have no other option right at the moment, we just have to rake in some reputation by completing various requests at the guild and at some point in time we would surely get noticed by clients that will hire us''


    Razlov realized that what Mark said is a viable option for them to take and as he thinks about it for a bit, they''re mercenary group had just started and there are no wars at the moment for quickly making a name for themselves, so their only option left is to slowly build up their reputation in the mercenary world.


    Razlov then looks at the two; Mark and Nelson.


    "Mark said is right, our group had just started to work on this field so it''s no question that no one knows us yet, so we could only make a name for ourselves by completing various request at the guild"


    "So from tomorrow onwards, we will have to get busy as we will take in request after request until our name spreads out in the whole town of Sanloris and if it''s still not enough, we can just go to neighboring towns or cities"


    "Now let''s get back to the Inn as we still need to prepare and contact Selov base for reinforcement"

 36 Chapter 36: Latest Weapon

    When Razlov returns to the Inn, he immediately ordered to contact the base and request for reinforcement and sent one team here at Sanloris. Then he ordered them to check how many rounds of ammunition and explosives are left. It would be detrimental when the ammo suddenly run out, so they have to thoroughly check the amount of ammunition and explosives for Razlov to buy if the amount is not enough.


    Checking their supplies of ammo and explosives, they determined that they still have enough rounds for AK-47 with 3000 rounds left, that still a 100 of magazines and for Dragunov, they only have 100 rounds of it which are not enough as for explosives they have 6 frag grenade left remaining.


    Reading the report status of their supplies, Razlov opens the system''s Item shop and converted 2500 gold coins of the 2840 gold coins he has into CP and that left him 340 gold coins. Razlov didn''t immediately purchase the supplies needed because previously he stacks the ammunition and fuels into his room then he let Adam and Lecia''s team enter his room and carry it out of the room sincepulling out the ammunition and fuel in the inventory would be making it looks like it appeared out of nowhere and that would reveal his greatest secret, Razlov wanted to avoid revealing his secret so he stack it in his room to make it looks like that he already had them. But this time he must not do the same trick as it will be too suspicious, that the previously emptied out room had ammunition and explosives in it; not including the bed and the side table.


    He then asks the system if it is possible to transfer the items to the Armory at Selov base after he buys them from the Item shop. Since he would still return back to Selov base and even if the system''s answers that it is not possible he would then go to the Armory, took out the items he purchased and let his subordinates bring out the items to show that the items came from the Armory.


    {Yes, it is possible for the items to be transferred into the Armory. Just like the patrol boat which was automatically transferred to the Harbor}


    Finding out that it''s possible to transfer the purchased items to the Armory, Razlov immediately opens the system''s Item shop and request the system that the items he deems to be transferred should be transferred to the Armory. Razlov purchases 10 ammunition boxes with 1 of them are for the Dragunov and each containing a thousand rounds per can which cost him 30 CP per box, 100 frag grenades each costing 2 CP, 100 flashbangs for 1 CP each, and also purchase 4 M60 machine gun which cost 70 CP each with ten 100 rounds ammo box along with an ammo box full of linkers and 5 belt linkers for a total cost of 8 CP. After purchasing all the supplies needed and a few extra, the system transferred all of it into the Armory at Selov base.


    [Authore note: At first I was confused with ammo can and ammo box then I discovered that they are actually the same but the proper name is ammunition box or ammo box. After that, I was again confused about the ''ammo box that is used for safe transport and storage of cartridge or bullets'' and ''ammo box that is used to carry ammo belt for machine guns'' but they''re the same again! My God it so confusing!!]


    The next day just as the sun had risen the patrol boat arrives at Sanloris along with Lecia''s Team as reinforcement, he instructed the two helpers to wait for him he then gathered all the three teams at the Inn and gave a simple briefing of their goal and then dispatch the two other teams and let Lecia''s team rest for a day as they have just arrived then tomorrow they would start participating in completing requests. Razlov then board the boat back to Kurlian Island as he still needs to retrieve the items he''d purchased from the system''s Item shop.


    It was already in the middle of the night when the patrol boat docked at the harbor and only the light from the lighthouse and streetlights are making the place bright for the people of the island to not tread in the darkness. Getting off the boat, Razlov started to tread his way back to the base in a leisure manner, enjoying the tranquility of the night and along with him are the two helpers who quietly follow behind. When he arrives at the base, he told the two helpers to rest and he also went to rest.


    The following day, Razlov summons Adam and his team and told them to follow him to the Armory. When they arrive at the Armory, he opens the gate and proceeds into the entrance of the Armory then use a different key to open the door, inside theArmory, he then uses two keys to open the doors to the ammunition storage room and to the weapons depot. Inside the ammo storage room, many racks are line up that you would not be able to see further of the room making it a good cover that Razlov could exploit since the ammo storage room is actually empty except for those ammo boxes that are on the ground which he purchased previously, he then orders them to take out all those ammo boxes and the 5 belt linkers then close the door when the ammo boxes have been taken out. They then proceed to the weapons depot, just like the ammo storage room it is also empty but the door of the weapon racks are close so they would not be able to peep inside; again a good cover, he then again order them to take out the weapon crate which contains 5 M60 machine gun and after that, they left the Armory.

    After leaving the Armory they proceed to the firing range. In the firing range, Razlov took out the 5 belt linkers and started to demonstrate linking ammo to make an ammo belt. The belt linker had 20 slots, he first put the linkers into the slots then the cartridges or bullets and then he pulls down the lever making a 20 rounds ammo belt. After he finishes demonstrating how to make an ammo belt, he let Adam''s team try and since it''s easy to make an ammo belt they quickly manage to make an ammo belt. He then instructed them to continue and make a 100 rounds ammo belt then they did, Razlov now has ten 100 rounds ammo belts.


    "Now that we have ten ammo belts, I will now show you all our latest weapon. So watch carefully and look at how I load the gun."


    Razlov then took out the M60 machine gun from the weapon crate and put it in the table, next he picks up the 100 rounds ammo box then fill it with the ammo belt in a stack, once the ammo belt was stack inside the ammo box he attach it on the left side of the machine gun, open the cover, took out the end of the ammo belt from the ammo box, feed it to the gun, close the cover, and pull the cocking handle, then it was done. Now that the preparation is complete, Razlov took the machine gun, take out the bipod and then he sets it on top of the table.


    "Now watch"


    Taking the gun then positioning himself and when everything was ready Razlov pulls the trigger. Razlov fired the gun in rapid succession that fire continues to spew out of the barrel and shells continue to fly out of the chamber. After a few seconds *tick *tick* sound could be heard, indicating that all 100 rounds have been used up. After firing the machine gun, Razlov then looks at the rest.


    Adam and his team just stood there as their mouths and eyes are wide open from shock. Although they have already experienced the rapid fire of AK-47, the .50 caliber Browning machine gun, and the 40mm gun. But the AK-47 was limited to only 30 rounds and there was the weight of the .50 caliber Browning machine gun and 40mm gun. They would have never imagined that a gun of a size of AK-47 would have the capability of Browning machine gun and from the looks of it, they can carry it around; so they were shocked.


    Looking at their current state, Razlov was reminded when they first saw how he fired the AK-47 and how shocked they were at that time and looking at them right now reminded him of that time making him let out a smile.

 37 Chapter 37: Recruiting Again

    Finished demonstrating the power of the M60 machine gun, he also let Adam and his team try out the new gun. They each take their turn on firing it but only given a limited amount of ammunition to be fired since they would still need the remaining ammo belt to be transported to Sanloris and give each team an M60 machine gun. In the end, they all manage to fire of at least 80 rounds each. Razlov then instructed them to pick up the scattered linkers cause they are still can be used.


    He then gave one of the M60 machine guns to Adam''s team and let the one with most strength carry it. They then decided to let Mike carry it from now on making him excited and happy to receive it. Razlov then ordered the return of AK-47 that he has been using and told him that from now on he is the machine gunner of his team, giving fire support and suppressive fire to the enemy making the AK-47 of no use to him anymore and he willingly handed it over. Then he instructed them to start loading the weapons and ammunition to the boat as he still needs to return to Sanloris.


    After loading all the weapons and ammunition into the boat, Razlov on board the patrol boat started to embark on its way to Sanloris.


    It was on the morning of the next day when the patrol boat arrived at Sanloris. When Razlov arrives at the Inn only Lecia''s team were in there, Lecia then reported to Razlov that Nelson and Mark''s team have already completed two requests each and are already on their third while their team had only completed one request just the other day and was about to take another request this day. And the money from the reward and selling of goods; if they have any, were all given to Selina to be kept as they all knew the relationship between Razlov and Selina.


    "Umm, I understand, keep up the good work."


    After complimenting Lecia, Razlov went to find where Selina is. He then finds her in the kitchen preparing for today''s lunch and it seems that Rosy is still shopping for other ingredients. Razlov quietly makes his way into Selina and then he suddenly hugs her making her exclaim in surprise.


    "Jeez, don''t surprise me like that what if something happens to our baby and I will not forgive if that really happens"


    When Selina look behind and saw Razlov, she became indignant when he suddenly hug that it surprised her and complain about it as she is pregnant. While Razlov only smiled as Selina was complaining to him.


    "I''m sorry, I promise to never do it again"


    In the end, Razlov was forgiven. Then they chatted with each other catching up what happened during these past few days when Razlov was at the base and then Selina suddenly remember that she was asked by Razlov''s subordinate to handle the gold coins for safe keeping.


    "Oh right, Razlov, your subordinates ask me to keep the gold coins they receive from requests and selling goods... Wait I''ll go get it"


    Then she went to her room and went back carrying a heavy looking bag, Razlov immediately went to help. The weight of the bag was at 3-4 kilos making him wonder how could Selina carry it easily. When he asks Selina how many gold coins are inside the bag, Razlov was elated when he heard how much are inside the bag as it actually contains 4125 gold coins. Razlov and Selina chatted for a bit and also mention if she is willing to follow him back to Kurlian Island and stay there but Selina rejected his offer and said that she has no plan to leave the Inn before Rosy takes over in managing the Inn. Razlov could only give up and respect her decision, he then gave her kiss before Razlov left with haste back to his own room.


    Inside his room, Razlov immediately converted 3000 gold coins to CP but he realizes that they already have everything they needed and currently don''t lack anything in particular, from weapons, ammunition, explosives, and transportation, they have what they needed right at the moment. So Razlov stops for a minute and thinks of what else do they need. Eventually, Razlov buys a few extra ammunition and solar panel for future use, then leave the rest for now. Razlov was also considering if he should expand the personnel working at the base, especially those who have medical knowledge as Selina and his four lovers are currently pregnant and later would need to leave their job to prepare to go into labor, making up his mind he decided to recruit new people.


    When the thought of ''someone with medical knowledge'' crossed Razlov''s mind, it was then that he remembered that although Selov base has facilities for medical care it was only for recuperation and have no proper facilities in it that have the right equipment. He immediately opens the system Item shop to search if there is an Upgrade Token for base hospital.


    Searching the Item shop, Razlov keeps scrolling down to see if there any token for base hospital. After searching for a while, he finally found one but it was more like a clinic or field hospital from its picture rather than an actual hospital. Even so, Razlov still bought it for 1000 CP and also the basic equipment of a clinic or field hospital like medicines, stethoscope, dextrose, thermometers, BP machine, a defibrillator for those having a cardiac arrest, etc, etc; in the end, Razlov''s total spending was 1220 CP. But Razlov didn''t immediately use the token and just store it in his inventory along with the medical equipment. He first needs to find someone with medical knowledge then later set up the clinic/field hospital at Selov base.


    He then walks out of the Inn and went straight to the guild to write a recruitment notice and post it around the town. When Razlov arrives at the guild, he immediately went to the reception area and notice that the receptionist is not Clarice, it was someone else.


    "Hi! I''m Wena, is there anything that I can help you"


    "Yes, I would like to post a recruitment notice and have 100 copies of it then let the guild distribute it around the town"


    The receptionist called Wena gave Razlov a piece of paper for him to write the content of the recruitment notice. Razlov then writes that he needed 4 people who can cook a simple dish, 10 strong and able men, 10 women or men who know house chore, and people with medical knowledge, he also stated that their salary was 1 gold coin per month then gave it to Wena when he was finished. He decided to give 1 gold coin for a monthly salary as he has already planned to increase the salary of those already working at the base from 3-5 big silver a month to 1 gold coin a month because unlike before when he was limited in funds and as of right now that the organization is already earning making him having enough funds so Razlov had no qualms of increasing their salary.


    Wena accepted the paper then she gave it a look before telling Razlov that in two hours the copying will be finished. After waiting for two hours, Razlov finally receives the copies and then left the guild then went straight to where the kids Randel and Maria with 3 others that he hired before to distribute the notice to people passing by. When he arrives at the area he immediately saw the two kids and they run towards him as soon as they notice him and they started selling the apples and flowers they have on them, he then bought all of it and told them that he would like to hire them again and they happily accepted it as they will be given salary for it. Along with 5 other kids that they called out, they started running around the market and giving out the notice to passersby as soon as they receive the notice and the money and Razlov went back to the Inn.

 38 Chapter 38: Herbalist?

    It has been 5 days since then and Razlov''s recruitment has been going well, he had already managed to recruit almost all the personnel that he needed except for a person with medical knowledge. And during that time, many have applied and they are all claiming or saying that they know how to treat people. Since Razlov has little to none medical background, he simply asks a simple question ''how to treat someone that has been wounded'' and many of them answered the same:


    "Get a potion from an alchemist"


    "Grind some herb and apply it to the wound then wrap it with cloth or bandage"


    That was how most of them have replied when the ''alchemist'' word was mentioned Razlov thought about whether the alchemist they were talking about was the same with those he knows back from his previous life but didn''t bother with anymore and throw it in the back of his mind. As for the 2nd answer, it was the right thing to do if it was in an emergency situation and there''s no one who knows how to treat it properly but from a doctor''s standpoint it was not how to properly treat a wound as you have to cleanse it first before you use herbs or medicine and apply it to the wound. Most of the applicants answered the question like that but there was someone who answered the question that it was so ridiculous.


    "How to treat a wound?... it''s simple, just throw a spit on it and would heal in no time, Ohh, and the most effective way is to piss on the wound"


    Razlov almost burst out in laughter when he heard that but he managed to hold it in and his mouth was twitching from trying to hold his laughter. He then asks the person, what is it in spit and in piss that could heal wounds and the answer was ''Nature''s Miracle'' it was then when Razlov reach his limit and burst into laughter, even after a while he was still laughing as he sends the person off. But that''s not all as there was also some rude ones.


    "Treating a wound?... why should I tell you? And even if I did tell you, you wouldn''t understand it anyway cause your ignorant"


    Pissed at what the man said, Razlov almost shot the guy dead with his gun(Desert Eagle)but he restrains himself. It was clearly visible that the man doesn''t know a thing and is only pretending that he has medical knowledge. And just like that, Razlov''s days pass without anyone applying with proper knowledge about medicine.


    ''Sigh, It seems like waiting doesn''t gonna work and I have to seek it for myself'' and so Razlov starts to wander around the town asking if there''s a doctor or someone who treats those with illness and the wounded.


    Even after asking and wandering the whole town for a day, he still didn''t get the answer he was looking for and all he got was a reply that point to an alchemist or potion which indicate that there is no doctor in this town. And the ''alchemist'' word come out again making him confused about what is it with alchemist and treatment.


    So Razlov went to Selina to clarify the things he did not understand.


    "Well, usually when people got sick or wounded they just have to go see an alchemist. If a person is sick the alchemist will first check the patients to find what kind of illness they have and the alchemist will tell you what kind of potion to be taken in to cure the illness. For the wounded, they just need to buy a potion and pour it into the wound then wrap it with cloth or bandage and drink it for better effect"


    Razlov could only furrow his brows at Selina''s explanation.


    "What if the wound is fatal?" Razlov was starting to get worried about this world''s health care.


    "That will depend on your luck, you just need to keep applying potion until it heals"


    Now, Razlov was truly worried, this world does not have a proper protocol for medical treatment and only resort to potion hoping that it will cure everything. Then he looks at Selina and asks the thing that he is most worried about right now.


    "T~Then, when a woman is giving birth wh~who is helping her?"


    What Razlov cared and worried the most is about Selina, his 4 lovers at the base and their unborn children''s well being.


    "That? It''s the elder women of the town that usually assist women in giving birth and they are already experienced with it since they were doing it for many years already. When I was giving birth to Rosy it was grandma Mona who helped me."


    Razlov heaves a sigh of relief, he thought that those alchemists with their potions were also the ones assisting a woman in childbirth. Good thing though that they are not and at least those elderly women have experienced in assisting a woman in childbirth but it''s still risky and even back on his previous life childbirth was still a dangerous process and even with doctors overseeing it.


    "By the way, why are you asking this question?" It seems Selina is confused as to why Razlov was asking a question with regards on how to treat people.


    "I was trying to find someone with knowledge on how to treat people and so that I can hire him." said Razlov


    "Why find someone like that? Won''t the potion be enough?" Razlov only smiled at what Selina had said and he could understand why she asked that. Because from her perspective, using potion is already enough to treat people and they have been relying on it for a long time that it is considered a norm for them. But he is different as he had seen what modern medicine could do, he has even seen someone whose heartbeat had already stop for 30 minutes comes back to life.


    "Well, potion sure is enough for small cases but for major cases, I ain''t gonna leave to fate or luck to survive from wound or illness." said Razlov


    Selina fell into silence trying to recall something "Hmm, now that I think about it and from what your saying, maybe what your looking for is a herbalist"


    When Razlov heard Selina mentioned ''herbalist'' he couldn''t help but think about those people from his previous life that use natural medicines to treat people of their illness and wounds. They use herbs or plants as alternative medicine and that sometimes is considered to be false as there is no scientific explanation that would prove their effectiveness. But even so, there are still people back in his previous life that believed in its effectiveness and those that were proven to be effective were even made into supplements.


    "Herbalist? You mean those people that use herbs or plants in treating sick and wounded people?" Just for confirmation, Razlov asks Selina if his guess was correct.


    "Yes, but those people are not really that well receive since most would rather choose potions as they are more effective at healing wounds or curing sickness"


    Razlov thought about it for a bit, if he should just hire a herbalist as they were better than alchemist who only knows how to sell potions. Making up his mind, Razlov decided to hire a herbalist and see if he could teach them modern medicine since he had access to the system''s Item shop maybe he could acquire a book or two about medicine.

 39 Chapter 39: Job?

    When talking about herbalist, Razlov heard from Selina that aside from being not well received they are also few in numbers. There are only a few people who practice herbalism here in this world due to having potions to rely on when people are sick or injured. One of the reasons why they are still existing and hasn''t faded out yet is because of the people that can''t afford to purchase potion and had to rely on herbalist for treatment.


    Razlov walk around the town to know more about herbalist as Selina doesn''t know anyone who is a herbalist when he asks her. So Razlov decided to ask around the town. When he was asking the townfolks of Sanloris if they know someone who is a herbalist or know anything about herbalist, they all look at him in bewildered look. Although Razlov''s camo uniform looks weird from the people of this world''s point of view but despite that it looks weird it looks neat and tidy adding the factor that he is handsome and looks good in it and when people saw him they would think that he comes from a well-off family, so when Razlov asks about herbalist the townfolks all give him a bewildered gaze as he doesn''t look poor. But amidst the bewildered gaze of the townfolks, Razlov still didn''t get any news about herbalist.


    Disappointed that he didn''t get any news regarding about herbalist, Razlov decided to head back to the Inn. But as he was walking towards the Inn, he suddenly stops and remembered something.


    ''F*ck, how could I forgot about the guild'' Done with cursing his forgetfulness, Razlov immediately head towards the direction of the guild. The guild does not only deals with requests, and other mercenary-related jobs, it even deals with information and you can find anything at the guild but for the right price and you can get it or know of it as long as the information does not compromise or put the guild at risk.


    When Razlov saw the building of the guild, he hastens his steps and enters the guild. As Razlov entered the guild and walks towards the reception area someone noticed him and called out to him.


    "Hey! Razlov! Over here"


    Turning his head, Razlov saw a red-haired man waving his hand at him at a table in the corner of the guild and it is the group that he hadn''t seen for a long time; it was Carson and his group. Crimson Cloud is the name of the mercenary band which is composed of 6 members and Carson is the leader. It has been more than three months since Razlov saw them and the last he saw them was on the first day after he posted the recruitment notice with the help of the guild.


    "Oh, Carson, long time no see" he greeted Carson then nodded at the rest and he noticed that aside from the six he knew there are other two people that he doesn''t recognize.


    "Yeah, come, have a drink with us" Carson invites


    "Just wait, I''ll be there in a minute," Razlov said as he still needs to get a piece of information about herbalist.


    "Okay, we''ll be waiting"


    Then Razlov continued to walk towards the reception area. At the reception area, Razlov saw Clarice and called out to her.


    "Clarice"


    "Hi, Razlov... is there anything I can for you?" when she saw Razlov, she smiled and greeted him professionally.


    "Yes, do you have any information regarding if there''s a herbalist here in Sanloris and its surrounding area?" asked Razlov


    When Clarice heard Razlov is looking for a herbalist and just like the townfolks of Sanloris she also made a bewildered gaze at him.


    "Herbalist? Why are you looking for a herbalist, isn''t potions already enough?" Clarice asks as she stares at Razlov.


    "Well, I have my own reasons" After being asked by Clarice, Razlov only gave a vague answer cause even if he explains to her why she wouldn''t even believe him as they are bound by the logic of this world that potions are far more useful than herbs in treating a person.


    Seeing that Razlov is not explaining further about why he is looking for a herbalist, she could only shake her head.


    "Okay, I will not dwell in it further... wait for a moment as I will check if there a report or information on herbalist" Clarice then goes to the back of the reception area and after a while, she came back carrying a stack of documents. She then began checking each of them.


    "Hmm, I''m sorry Razlov, I didn''t find any information or reports on herbalist" Clarice said after she finished checking the documents.


    "It''s okay, so how much do I have to pay?" Razlov was disappointed that he didn''t manage to get any information with regards to a herbalist.


    "There''s no need, as it is only a piece of minor information that is not worth noting for. We only keep information like this is for the record since there are still people like you who came asking for information" said Clarice


    "Thank you, Clarice... I have to go, so, see you around" Razlov said goodbye to Clarice and went to where Carson and his group as he had an appointment with them.


    Razlov walks towards the table where Carson''s group is situated. When Carson saw Razlov walking towards them, he stands up and walks to Razlov and welcomes him. He then put his hands on Razlov''s shoulder as he guides him to an empty chair.


    When they sit down, Carson began to talk " Haha, It''s good to see you again, It''s has been more than two months since we''ve last seen each other... Oh, let me introduce to the new members of our group. That young looking man is Bradly and the one with a mustache is Fernan... Guys, let me introduce you to a friend of ours, Razlov"


    "Glad to meet you, I''m Razlov" Razlov and the other two new members of Carson group nodded at each other.


    "Hey, Razlov, I heard you formed your own group, is that true?" The one who interjected was Solba. Solba was the one who Razlov knocked out in their previous encounter. He was drunk at that time and was questioning Razlov for joining the guild as a mercenary, he was then pissed at what Razlov said and tried to punch him only to be knocked out by Razlov''s palm strike right at his jaw.


    "Yeah, that''s true. I have formed my own mercenary group and its called ''Dragon Force''." Razlov admitted it since there''s no reason for him to hide it.


    "Hehe, so that''s why you rejected Carson''s invitation to join our group back then" Solba said as he laughs foolishly.


    Razlov shrugged at what Solba had said then he said: "I have already planned back then to form my own group so I rejected Carson''s invitation... by the way, how did you know I formed my own group?"


    "Ughm"


    Carson cleared his throat and began to talk: "When we arrive here after completing a request, we heard that there''s a new mercenary group that has been completing request after request with having not failed even once on any request they had taken or even casualty; there''s none. Although this group had just started no one can deny that their track record is good. And their only demeaning features are their weird clothes and the weird stick they are carrying. Then we finally saw the members of this group and to our amazement, we have already seen their clothes. So we asked the guild for information and that how we got to know that you are the leader of the leader of this new mercenary group"


    "Ah, I see... so, how about you guys, how have you been faring this last three months?" asks Razlov


    "We''re doing good, we manage to get quite a sum of gold coins during our last 2 jobs... But let''s forget about us, let''s talk about you... how have you been these past three months and how did you manage to get that strong mercenary group even though you all had just started not long ago?" said Carson curiously and it''s the same with rest.


    Seeing their curious look, Razlov started to recall and tell them what happened during the three months that they hadn''t seen each other from the recruitment of the members, training at the camp, to taking request from the guild. Razlov was talking with some truths and lies inserted as he explains what he had done during this past three months; of course, he didn''t divulge about the weapons they are using even though it''s an open secret.


    "What! are you telling us that three months ago those members of your mercenary group are all greenhorn that hadn''t even experience killing a person! And in just a short time you''ve managed to turn them from newbie to elite that can complete requests without suffering any casualty!!... Unbelievable!!" Solba exclaim


    "Razlov, you''re just kidding right, you are just boasting right" said Tirso as he was unable to believe what Razlov had just said because it usually takes a half- year to a year of training with the addition of experiencing various fight for one to become elite.


    "What would I get from that?" well, part of the reason why they are strong is because of the weapons they are using.


    Seeing that Razlov seems not to be kidding or lying to them, Carson and Tirso look at each other as they both come to an understanding. They then turn to look at Razlov.


    "Razlov, are you interested in a job?" asks Carson


    "Job?"
