In the slight crack between the lid and the base a set of piercing green eyes illuminated within the darkness. As the lid rose further you could begin to see the cat''s sleek black coat, not fluffy or short but shiny like a black panther''s coat. A few weeks ago the cat wasn''t such a majestic creature but rather a pathetic human who couldn''t kick a ball further than behind him. This teenager was called Chester Cleo and even though he was weak and nerdy he still had friends, unlike some books he had read where the main character had been beaten up and isolated. That doesn''t happen in real life, well at least not in Britain, after all, we apologize to people apologizing. He had died an insignificant death in a road accident because he was too busy daydreaming that he didn''t even remember if he saw a car while checking the road before crossing. He was hit by a fairly big four wheeler although before he lost consciousness he managed to keep his eyes open long enough that he managed to see the four-wheeler swerve and smash straight into the school. NowChester didn''t have any particular feelings of hate towards the school however he didn''t like it so seeing a four-wheeler crash into a school because of him was a pretty epic way to die. When Chester opened his eyes he saw darkness although that same darkness was accompanied with a pungent smell that could drive away a dog. As he felt around he noticed that even though he couldn''t see he could sense that he was smaller, that he had changed although he couldn''t put his finger on it. As he tried to stand up he put his hands on the side of whatever he was in and his hand felt... different than usual. He couldn''t move his fingers and his hand''s impact was soft and felt like it was padded. As he clawed his way up, wait clawed? Chester noticed that when he grabbed at the wall a grinding feeling came of it like how it sounded when his cat one time tried to jump into the car and scratched off a bunch of paint. Chester eventually clawed his way up sending the question of the sound to the back of his mind and pulled himself up. When he pushed up the top of the darkness slowly lifted up and moonlight pierced into the gap.He lifted himself up further and noticed that he was in some kind of alley before slipping. As he fell he felt his life flash before his eyes like it did when he died before however before he hit the floor some sort of instincts punched in and he twisted around as if he had no bones and landed softly on his feet. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Random Stranger View ------------------------------------------------------------------------- After a long day of work, everybody just wants to go home and go to sleep however you know that can''t happen. For Tom Rachet it was because he had his insane germaphobic sister around because she couldn''t keep a job because of her phobia. As he walked around the familiar streets that looked like a maze to the tourist or visitor he looked down an alley because he heard a strange scratching sound. Slowly from the trash can, a figure arose. "How did a cat get in a trash can? Did its owner trash it? Did the cat get in and close it?" Obviously, Tom wasn''t very smart. As Tom watched the cat fall he thought ''OI does that cat look like it''s about to die? Is it worried that its wife is gonna be mad at it? Is this the legendary caticide where cat''s commit suicide?'' As he watched the cat he noticed a glint of acceptance appear on the cat''s eye as it turned and landed like a ninja. From then on Tom had a new outlook on life, that no matter how far he got pushed around and no matter how sad he felt he realized that unlike that cat if he were to do what that cat did and tried to commit suicide he wouldn''t be able to stop when he realized that he had people to look after. Tom then left with a tear forming on his eye and a new resolution formed in his mind. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- In reality, the Chester fell 1.5 meters by complete accident and unknowingly saved a desperate soul. 2 Angel To One After almost ''dying'' Chester roamed the streets without much of a reason other then why not. After escaping the evil trash bin Chester had noticed that he was a cat. Although as shocking as it was at first it slowly changed from shock to admiration at his new body. Looking at a puddle that had formed from the common rain in England Chester observed himself. Within the puddle was a black cat like one would associate with misfortune. It had shiny black fur like a panther as well as cold, calculating green eyes that showed intelligence that one would not expect from an animal. As Chester walked around in the damp, cold city of Great Britain he realized that he had not eaten in hours and so his stomach rumbled with anger. Chester walked along the pave and came across a bench. On the bench was a rough looking man with dark circles underneath his eyes as well as injection marks that could sometimes be seen when the wind blew up the arms on his short-sleeved top. ''Definitely, a druggie'' thought Chester. However what garnered Chester''s attention the most was the food that the man was holding. A large chicken wrap. To the normal observer, it looked plain and smelled a bit dodgy however to a cat that hadn''t eaten for ages it was as appealing as any other food. Taken over by hunger Chester lunged for the food and leaped onto the man''s lap, snatching the rap with all his force he jumped off and ran into an alley. Chester was fully focused on the food. Nothing could distract him from taking a large bite from the wrap until something did. A large boot came out of nowhere and kicked the cat with full force sending Chester flying into the wall. As soon as he hit the wall rocks started flying and hitting Chester with as much force as an arrow. Chester didn''t even get a chance to move before he was hit and hit and hit and hit over and over again. Before the teenagers had finished he had already given up on resisting and instead curled up and took everything he was given. You know how they say if you ignore a bully and they will leave you alone because they don''t get a reaction or any attention. Well, it doesn''t work with animals. Every hit ensured an injured cry or reaction. In the end, Chester retreated into his mind and blocked out all the noises and sounds and pain. Chester asked whoever sent him there "Why did you send me here? It is worse than where I came from or has it always been there and I just missed it?" Of course, there was no reply however Chester contemplated his own question. Why did this evil decide to show itself now? It has always been in the world past and present so why now? why when Chester finally got a second chance, an escape? Before he could answer the question he fell into a sleep and stopped asking questions for a while. 10 minutes later 3 old teenagers left the alley laughing and giggling while their hands were covered with dust and dirt from throwing rocks. Inside the alley was a beaten Chester bleeding out onto to his shiny black fur making it look ragged and giving it a red tint. Chester led there for hours among hours beaten, abused and broken just waiting for somebody to come along and help him however nobody came until she did. A girl no older than 10 or 11 came walking through the alley with a worried look on her face. She had fairly long, brown, unkempt hair as well as a know-it-all face. But to Chester, she looked like an angel. 3 First Card 3 Days Later When the girl went through the alley and saw the deathly cat she immediately cradled in in her hands and ran him home. "HERMOINE YOUR CAT IS AWAKE!" Shouted the girl''s mother. Hermoine ran straight up the stairs as if her life was on the line and ran towards the cat. Chester awoke in a soft cuddly bed. ''Where am I? I should be beaten up and half dead in the alley. Oh, wait that girl found me is this her house?'' "HERMOINE" a loud shot right next to me echoed in the house. The next thing I heard was a loud thumping up the stairs and a young Emma Watson charging in through the door. As I looked at my savior I decided that if there was evil in the world I would protect her from until the end. During the next few days, I did nothing but rest. I was basically hand fed from Hermoine however it shouldn''t be her job so I kept on trying to stand. So far I managed to get to the door safely and no further. The next day a mouse came into the room and dared to eat my food. It was the first time that I had tried to hunt as a cat however cats are natural predators. My instincts told me to keep crouched and my head level. My claws unsheathed and I pounced onto the mouse. I bit into its flesh and shook it around. I slashed and clawed at it until it went limp inside my mouth. In a flash of light, the rat turned into a single card was laid out on the floor. The card had a picture of jaws on it while underneath it said: Bite (Common) X2 damage on the back of the card, it said ''With any cards, if you have 5 of the same rarity you can upgrade them'' ''Once you kill a mob you can get a space to grind them in''. Chester''s eyes widened with surprise as he thought of the possibilities of these cards. With these cards, he could protect Hermoine from any future dangers like thugs and criminals. Chester thought about how he should activate the power ''Do I just think about it? umm ''Bite'' '' Chester''s jaws lit up with white light and forced him to close them before he realized what happened. Chester walked up to a bit wood that sticks off the basket that he sleeps in. ''Bite'' Chester''s jaws lit up again and before he even noticed anything the wood was cut in half. Chester also tried it on metal however it just ended in a sore jaw and teeth. If Chester wanted to get stronger he would need better skills. Chester thought ''Grind mice''. Immediately everything turned black and a mouse appeared in front of him. By using the bite skill of it the mouse died almost instantly however no card appeared. ''I must only get cards sometimes'' Chester guessed. After two hours of grinding, Chester had finally gathered 5 cards ''Combine common bite cards'' Cards appeared out of nowhere and circled around each other until they all formed into a single red card. On the card it said Bite (Rare) X4 Damage Now that the skill was rare Chester could now roughly bend metal with his jaw and leave clear bite marks on the material however he still didn''t have enough power to bite cleanly through it however it was still way more powerful than anything a mouse or a cat could do in a single stroke. After doing this strangely his body and been strengthened and he had recovered as if he had taken its power as well as their skills. After such a rough day Chester went to find Hermoine and snuggle up in her arms. Chester slowly drifted off to sleep in anticipation of the next day. 4 Big Bad Mouse The next day Chester woke up to the cooing of an owl which was strange because it was the middle of the day. The owl delivered the message straight to the letterbox. I got up and stretched before poking Hermoine to get up with my paw. She got out of bed and similarly stretched before going downstairs to get the mail. As she opened up the mail on the top I could clearly see a logo that consisted of a Griffen, snake, badger and a raven. ''No way this is that world. Now not only do I have to protect her from thugs but as well wizards, snakes, evil wizards and Harry Potter but especially Ron... Ron is very evil'' The letter read: The HOGWARTS SCHOOL of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore (Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. PARENTS ARE REMINDED THAT FIRST YEARS ARE NOT ALLOWED THEIR OWN BROOMSTICK Yours sincerely, Lucinda Thomsonicle-Pocus Chief Attendant of Witchcraft Provisions After reading the letter Hermoine ran into her parent''s room and jumped on their beds as if it was Christmas. After her parents got over their main concerns and after Hermoine did a lot of begging she finally was allowed to enter Hogwarts. Obviously, she took Chester as he was her protector and he thought that he had to defend her from the evil clutches of Ron Weasley himself. After sending back the owl with the letter signed she immediately prepared even though she had weeks to do so. The first place they went to was Diagon Alley to buy the resources that they needed although Chester wasn''t allowed to go because he was too small for a massive street and would easily get lost. Instead, Chester was left alone to search the house. He was walking around his territory when something caught his eye. It was a mouse different from the others. It had a large bulky shape as well as many battle wounds much like Chester actually after all being hit by rocks usually scar. Chester walked up to the rat and prepared to strike. His position was low and straight. He prepared my bite and pounced. Crunch! The mouse was injured however not dead. How could a mere mouse survive my attack? Before I could think further the mouse swiveled around and tried to bite me. It pierced my skin quite deeply causing it to bleed out. Enraged by the bite I jumped up and tried to bit the mouse however it also stood up and slashed at me with insanely sharp nails that could be compared to swords. I slightly missed the slash leaving a cut on my hind leg causing me to slightly limp. Even more, maddened I used ''bite'' and my teeth glowed red like the colour of the card. Crunch! My teeth snapped down right at the soft organs causing the mouse to bleed out although I gave him another bite to give him a smooth death. What was left of him turned into a bright light and left a grey card in his place that said: Scratch (Common) X2 damage And under that, it said ''Mini Boss Mouse Although this is quite an insignificant card what I was more interested was the improvement in my body. After the fight, my body healed and I got stronger, faster and overall better. 5 Rats Tail Weeks later: After Hermoine went to Diagon Alley she threw herself into her books which is to be expected of course. Obviously, Chester prepared to not be the number one priority since Hermoine doesn''t have the time to play with pets while she could be studying magic. ''At this point, I can''t tell the difference between dark arts and normal magic. I mean they both draw you into their side like how a muggle would get drawn to magic mages get drawn to dark magic. They both draw people to it while the dark arts are a more refined version of normal magic right? I mean it''s just a deviation of magic meant for killing and sacrifice. I did read Harry Potter in my old life but I didn''t take the time to memorize every event, after all, why would I? It would be strange if I did. Besides for all, I know this world could deviate from the original although I highly doubt it it''s a possibility. My current strength is way too weak, for a cat I''m super but to a wizard, I''m just a cat with sharp teeth. I need more.'' Chester walked around the house a walked up to the hallway. Hermoine was putting her suitcases in her car before she walked up to Chester with a cat bag in hand. I knew what to do before needing to asked and so walked in as soon as it was unzipped. As Hermoine walked out the door with Chester in hand the morning sun rose over the bushes neatly trimmed outside the house. When Hermoine arrived at the train station she gave her parents a goodbye hug before looking for the station 9 3/4. Because it was mentioned in a book she had read somewhere Hermoine knew exactly how to find it and how to get through the barrier. Hermoine boarded the train and found a carriage that seemed empty and then she unzipped the cage allowing Chester out into the carriage. A few minutes later an overweight child ran in who Chester could only assume is Neville ran in asking for help to find his missing toad called Trevor. Of course, Hermoine being the angel that she is couldn''t avoid help a fellow student in need and so left in a hurry. After Chester was left on his own he decided to explore the carriages. Before he left however he marked my territory and no Chester didn''t pee on the floor. Chester just moved around the room spreading pheromones before leaving. While exploring he came across a rat. The rat was happily living its life without questioning its existence or asking if there was a world outside the train. CRUNCH! The rat was dead before he even knew it what hit it however to the rat it was its chance to see the world beyond the train. In front of Chester a card floated down which said: Rat''s Tail (Common) Awareness X2, Heat resistance X2 As soon as Chester heard this he turned to look at his tail, luckily it was still like a normal cat''s tail. It seemed that traits didn''t override currents traits other than giving the skills. But what if it was a new limb like wings? Would they have the effects but not the trait or would the trait appear since there is nothing that is already there instead of the trait? After having this realization Chester decided to return to his carriage. As he was walking back he realized... She was probably with the evil Ron Weasley. As fast as he could Chester ran towards the carriage that smelled like Hermoine. As soon as he got here he ran in and jumped on Hermoine while staring daggers at Ron "Oh, I almost forgot Harry, Ron this is my cat Chester I found him passed out after getting beaten on by some despicable thugs." Hermoine stated with a tint of anger showing in her voice. "Well he doesn''t seem to like me very much" Ron said as if he had his heart broken by his one love although it was clearly fake since under his voice he muttered "Like his master" as if he was talking to somebody he had hated his entire life however that just caused Chester to get even madder then before and he would have attacked if Hermoine wasn''t holding him down. Meanwhile, Harry tried to calm down the standoff between child and cat by moving the conversation away from them. "So Hermoine what''s your story" However Chester saw this differently. ''HEY ARE U TRYING TO FLIRT WITH MY ANGEL'' and so Chester jumped up and used ''scratch'' which slightly caught Harry''s finger.I then stormed out followed by Hermoine who decided to come back to the carriage. 6 Limits Hogwarts was basically exactly what it is. A magic school. It was a great stone castle that looked like something a great emperor or king would live in rather than a few teachers and students. As we got on the rowboat I took my rightful place on Hermione''s lap. It was pitch black meaning that lanterns had to be lit to see and luckily the boats required nobody to row them or else it would be like bumper cars with boats. Sounds pretty fun actually. We walked in the winding corridors that seemed like a maze to the newcomers. As the path came to an end a great door stood tall that required at least 3 adults to stand tall to reach... or two of Gandalf. The doors opened like magic,oh...wait the doors opened with magic. The hall was filled with students obviously separated into tables depending on the colour of their uniform. Candles were floating in the sky although Chester had to wonder ''Where does the melted wax go?". Above the candles was a beautiful night sky while Hermoine said "It''s not really the ceiling, it''s just a witch to look like the sky. I read about it in Hogwarts: A History" Chester thought ''That''s right Hermoine is the smartest 1st year here''. In front of us on some kind of pedestal was an old hat which Chester instantly recognized as the sorting hat. After Dumbledoor''s small speech where he talked about how the third floor and the dark forest are forbidden from entering the students walked up and around the sorting hat waiting to be picked. "Hermoine Granger" was the first name to be said and she calmed herself as she walked to the front. "She''s mental that one I''m telling yo- OWW" "What''s wrong Ron?" "Something bloody bit me". Slightly to the left Chester smiled as he retracted his claws. For some reason Dumbledore smiled too... ''I''m gonna pretend that I don''t know why he''s smiling'' Chester said to himself. The ceremony continued as normal with Dumbledoor clapping like he was about to do a ritual. Hermoine, Ron, and Harry were all put in Gryffindor and the plot continued like always. The feast started but as always Chester ran up to Hermoine, jumped up on her and curled up. While curled up Chester thought.''Currently at most I could fight a medium sized dog so how exactly in a school of magic am I supposed to get stronger? One idea was to kill the troll that Ron and Harry knock out however how could anybody explain it''s body suddenly disappearing? The teachers might think that it''s roaming the school and close it down until they find it so that won''t work. I could try to learn wandless magic or attempt to learn my own but that could take years and years. The only other option is potions. Hey now that I think about it I can turn skills and traits into cards but why not potions? If it works can I also turn Items and gear into cards? If I could heal as I fight I might be able to fight some beasts but do plants count as beasts. So many questions but luckily I''m in Hogwarts, the school of magic and witchcraft. If you add the fact that you can''t take large and active pets to class like cats and owls then that means I have a lot of time to do things. I also wanted to work out how killing strong enemies makes me stronger, do I absorb its magical energy? or something like that. What are the limits of this ability and how powerful can I grow?'' Chester woke up and saw that the hall was still celebrating the new house members as if it had just happened a minute ago. After the party, we were led to their dorms by the head boy through winding staircases. Chester''s bed was a cat bed under the Hermoine''s bed although he just jumped onto Hermoine''s bed anyway. 7 Sneaky Black Ca The next day when Hermoine went to school Chester was nowhere to be seen. He wasn''t under the bed, catching mice but instead in the kitchen. As a cat Chester had grown in many aspects one mainly being stealth with his padded paws and black body. Chester held his head low matching his body while his claws were retracted to advoid making any noise. You may wonder why he doesn''t just eat in the cafetiria, well the reason to that is because one pesky cat thought a box of bread was a litter tray. The poor guy who ate that bread had to be sent to the hospital until he recoverd from his poisoning. Anyway, after that no pets were allowed to eat in the cafeteria so the pets were given a room and fed animal food leaving me with no choice but to steal from the kitchen. The reason Chester is stealing bread is because in games there arn''t only potions that heal but food also heals so if he uses that system instead of having to steal from a fearsome teacher like Professor Snape Chester just has to steal from the kitchen staff. It may seem easy but the kitchen staff wasn''t a squib like Argus Flich, these were house elves, dangerous beings however the reason Chester is willing to do something so stupid is on the odd chance that they were ordered not to kill anyone, hopefully especially not pets... hopefully. Chester slowly crawled through the door after a house elf had left for a task. As soon as he got into the kitchen Chester pounced for underneath a countertop where food is processed on. Slowly Chester crawled his way down through the kitchen narrowly advoiding the elves a few times. Finally he made it to where the food is stored. Chester looked around before snatching a single piece of bread with his claw. He closed his eyes and imagined it turning into a card. When he opened his eyes the bread had turned into a card. On the card it said: Bread (Rare) Made by elves Restores 10% of hp and mana after every consumption. Seeing this he realised why injured people healed rediculously quick here. It was the bread after all how could anything that is made by elves with a mysterious magic be simple. He thought of storing the card and it dissapeared into a flash that led towards Chester. Slowly and carefully he stocked up the the bread and in the end he had a uncountable number of bread made by house elves. Now slowly Chester stalked his way out of the kitchen and managed to get out by pushing on the door with all of his might. Now that Chester had done a task that was so tense that even soldiers in bomb squads might break a sweat. Now running Chester made a break towards under Hermione''s bed. The next day after Chester had spent all the time with Hermione he could he decided to go outside. Chester walked towards the forbiden forsest as if he was going for a stroll in the park however that autitude changed when he finally got there. The forest was thick and entangled as if somebody had turned spagheti into a forest. Just the aura alone was enough to scare away a young wizard. It felt as if the forest was watching you and if you made a single mistake it would snatch you up and then you would never be found again. Even though the presence was obvious Chester still decided to move forward with the plan. Even Chester wasn''t mad enough to go into the forbidden forest so he would stay around the edges of the forest where he hoped that any of the weak/young/old creatures would lose their way and head towards the edge of the forest unknowingly where Chester would be ready to strike. After waiting for hours Chester was about to give up until he heared a faint rumbling noise in the distance. When he looked at where the sound was coming he saw the branches part and a pair of antlers stick out. Coming out of the branches was a limping deer. It''s leg had been tore until it was basically unusable. Chester saw this as the chance that he was looking for and hid in the bushes. When the deer walked pass Chester pounced at the beast and used bite on it. The deer had now been given a deep wound on it''s neck however it held on. Chester repeatedly used scratch until he was kicked by the full force of a deer''s kick. Chester was sent flying into a tree and coughed up blood. Chester continued to attack like this for half an hour until both the deer and cat were exhausted. The deer had been wounded all over to the point that it''s coat had been painted with blood while Chester was in no better condition. He cracked countless ribs and blood soaked into his fur making a dark red tint make him look like a demon from hell. The cute loving Chester was no longer there and neither the deer or Chester showed much intelligence. They had given their hopes up to instinct. A bright light appeared in front of Chester with the picture of bread on it. He pressed it on his chest and Chester absorbed it. Chester''s face became less rigid and he had gained more power to fight. With one last pounce both the deer and cat attacked. The cat pounced body fully extended and claws out while the deer jumped up like a horse ready to kick. 1 hour later Hermoine had come back to her dorm to find that Chester was not there. Feeling a headache coming on she went outside to get some air however when she looked towards Hagrid''s house she saw a shadow of a silky black cat with a slight red tint to it puffing and panting towards the school. 8 Found This afternoon Hagrid was tending to his beasts when he noticed them to be unusually jumpy today. Hagrid went to the front of his garden and saw an almost collapsed cat there. "That''s Hermoine''s cat there" Hagrid said to himself in a gruff voice. He picked up the cat in a loving manner and carried him into his living room. Far away Hermoine saw this and came charging over. Hagrid carefully attended to his wounds. Hagrid had to pull the small cat''s ribs in place and cover the wounds. Cats had very good regenerative abilities and could naturally heal ribs as long as they are in the right place. After Hagrid had done this the door was slammed open and Hermoine came in. "Hagrid have you seen my cat? It''s silky black and .. and"Hagrid interupted Hermoine''s panicked speech by pointing to the corner where Chester led. Chester led on the sofa covered in bandages and still had a red tint from where blood had poured down him. Chester himself rather was thinking about what card he could have possibly gotten. When the beast fell Chester didn''t know when he would pass out so he stored the card without even looking at it and dizzily walked towards Hagrid''s house. Hermoine asked Hagrid "What fight could he have had possibly been into that he got that beat up. He doesn''t even look like he tried to run." Hagrid replied lightly "Well Hermoine judging by the trail of blood that he left it leads off to the forbidden forest although if he met a beast inside there he wouldn''t be returning. After seeing that her cat was safe Hermoine followed the clear blood tracks. A while later she reached the start of the tracts. What she saw was pools of blood absolutely everywhere. If her cat had thought a beast it means that they both escaped although just in case she took an empty vial and scooped up some blood to see if she could find some sort of potion that could tell what creature it was. Hermoine decided to leave her cat with Hagrid to heal for the night after all Hagrid was adept with beasts and knew what was best for them. After Hermoine left Hagrid went to get some cat food for Chester but he just stared at Hagrid like he was a fool. ''Why would I want cat food I NEED MEAT'' "meow"... It was hard being a cat. Hagrid stared at the cat noticing that he wasn''t like other normal cats. It had intelligence like magical beasts, after all he had been around them long enough to tell when he sees one. Hagrid went to go and get some meat that he feeds his magical beasts and gave it to Chester. ''Well it isn''t comparable to human food but meh it tastes alright'' Chester thought. As Hagrid stared at the beast eating he thought about how lucky Hermoine was to pick it up while it was a stray. Hagrid had never seen a magic beast like this one before but he was determined to study it. The next morning Chester woke up early fully recovered and thanked the deer in his head. Chester got down and looked at his new card. Charge (Common) Grow antlers and charge at enemies. X5 damage This card seemed quite useful depending on how strong it was. X4 damage was over twice as strong as a common bite showing just how strong a deer was compared to a mouse. Chester snuck outside and thought ''charge'' immediately beautiful entwined grey antlers began to sprout on the cats head and Chester was pushed forward into a wooden pole. The pole started to crack and snap before falling to the ground. Looking through the window Hagrid stared at the cat with shock before making a mental note of the cat. Can you imagine what would happen if he was searched and was found with notes of hundreds of hidden beasts? A lot of them would be mistaken as dangerous and so Hagrid preferred to keep mental notes and if he did write things down they were coded so nobody could understand them. Although there were magic and potions such as veritaserum that could make him say everything they wouldn''t waste it on a mere gamekeeper and so he should be safe unless there was some sort of massive threat. Chester strolled back through the door headed inside and jumped onto the sofa happy that he had avoided Hagrid and figured out a new power. Chester slowly fell asleep thinking about how he could grow stronger for the first plot fight. A troll, wait how would that taster... ew Chester thought to himself that it wouldn''t be a good idea to use bite. With that thought in mind, it was a bit harder to have a day nap 9 Nine-Fingered Ron After Chester''s day nap Hermoine had finished lessons and came to pick him up. Hermoine took Chester home surprised by the fact that he seemed better than ever, in fact, Chester''s fur looked even more luxurious than before. You could even see that he was more muscular. His body represented a horse more than a car. You could see that there was very little fat and you could clearly see the muscles sticking out. If anything he looked like a black sabretooth that had been through the wars. By just looking at Chester you could see that he had been through a lot, he had scars everywhere you look making him look fiercer than any other animal. If he were to fight a dog it looked like he would win easily. Little did Hermoine know that the small cat in front of her not only could easily defeat a dog but even defeat a deer at least six times his height. Chester was taken up the winding staircases and put onto the common room''s sofa to lay down while she studied in her room. A few minutes later the rest most of Griffendor had come into the common room and was staring at the cat that had taken over the common room''s sofa. Chester was currently lying on the sofa fully spread out and taking up the whole sofa. "Hey, Ron move the cat. You know the owner so you should do it." An older student said. Remembering the times the cat had abused him he squealed "b-but why not Harry" "Well obviously because Harry has survived an attack from you-know-who. What have you done? and besides, how are we supposed to find him in the school?" stated another student. "Fine". Ron walked over to the cat assuring himself that it wouldn''t bite after all it''s not like the cat will care that he''s being moved. As Ron was about to attack the cat it''s tail twitched and Chester jumped up and snapped its mouth on Ron''s finger. "OWWWWWWW" Ron moaned and cried as he stared at his barely hanging on finger. "Bloody hell, GET HIM TO THE DOCTOR". Some boys dragged him out of the common room and just stared at the cat before saying "I think we should give him the sofa" ... Everybody nodded their heads and stayed as far away as possible from the cat as possible. In their heads that cat was now a demon who everyone decided never to go near again. Later Hermoine came downstairs to see that in the middle of the room her cat was spread out while everyone in the room was spread out in the corners keeping their hands on their wands waiting to protect themselves. Hermoine looked at Chester with suspicion and she went to touch the cat everyone was about to scream at her. However what they saw was that the cat rolled around onto it''s back and meowed. There was a deathly silence in the room as everyone looked at each other before swearing at themselves in their head. Chester, however, was oblivious to the hate he had garnered as he was happy to see Hermoine. Hermoine brought Chester upstairs and everyone gave a sigh of relief as they saw him disappear. While over at the hospital wing Ron had his finger re-attached and was trying to explain to the teachers how a cat had bitten of a young wizards finger. The nurse pretended to agree but on the form, she wrote - Lost finger due to failing at casting magic. Every teacher would agree to this evaluation because they could see and sense indicators that only magic could cause. It was impossible that it was a normal attack from a cat could cause damage with magic. And even if the cat was magic they would have noticed its talents straight away. The next morning the atmosphere in the room had come back normal and everyone was talking to each other. Injuries were very common to the higher years and so they had basically forgotten about the incident while the younger years were led on by the older years to start talking again and so the scene was forgotten about. As the cat walked down into the common room everyone looked at it and continued talking. They had realized that as long as they allowed the cat some space and leave it alone it wouldn''t attack them. 10 Aggro While walking along a school corridor Chester thought about what to do now. Obviously grinding deer was off the table since even if he has an extra move the last time he fought the deer it was injured so he had no chance of fighting a fully recovered deer. He could go back to the edge of the Forbidden Forest but that was a really risky choice that relied on the beast being hurt to properly work. If he were to do it again for all he knew a dragon could come out, or even a unicorn. He almost died fighting a deer. He had no chance against the dangers closer inside the Forbidden Forest. Chester decided to use the system he recently forgot. The grinding system. He decided that if he couldn''t get stronger common cards he would be better off trying to kill previous beasts. Now he had to decide what to grind. He could just keep on killing the mouses for bite or he could grind the mouse minibosses and gain a stronger scratch. Chester decided to strengthen scratch since he wouldn''t be able to get close enough to bite every beast that got near him. There was even a chance of encountering a beast like unicorns where if their blood gets so much as on your lips you might get cursed. Besides Chester didn''t exactly have a fetish for troll blood and didn''t even want to imagine what it would taste like. After deciding on grinding scratch he thought to himself '' grind mouse miniboss'' and the whole world went black. A single rat appeared in front of him although it was a lot bigger then other rats you would find in your house. As soon the mouse saw him it ran off however for some reason it suddenly stopped and turned around as it was possessed its eyes went red with rage and charged at Chester. ''Is this some sort of forced aggro to stop it from fleeing'' he thought. The mouse obviously over-estimated itself as if it knew what it was doing just a look at Chester would cause it to run and move its whole nest. Chester knew that he could easily kill the mouse however instead he decided to test out his new skill. ''Charge'' he thought and entwined grey antlers sprouted from Chester''s head and he was pulled forward towards the enemy before slamming into it. The rat practically exploded into a mess of blood and organs before landing and changing into a grey card that said- Scratch (Common) X2 damage The card went white and went into Chester''s chest. Chester looked around and a new mouse miniboss appeared in front of him. After about an hour of grinding, he finally got 3 more cards. It may sound like a long time for three kills but so far it seems that only first kills give out cards which Chester guessed that it was some sort of failsafe in case you kill something that there is only one of. Chester wasn''t about to wonder about the system or where it came from or who reincarnated him. To Chester, nothing mattered more than protecting his many loved ones. Himself, Hermoine and... and... Well, just Chester and Hermoine. Anyway, Chester pulled out my scratch cards and thought ''Upgrade Scratch''. The cards turned into a white light and circled each other almost like a Ferris wheel. The cards slowly got closer until they were one. When a single card was left the white light cracked and fell off leaving a shining red light that slowly dulled and left a single card. Scratch (Rare) X4 damage (Depends on the force of the attack) Chester guessed that the last part meant that the damage increases depending on how much force that the attack has. For example, if he lazily swiped his hand then the damage would be low since he is little force (X4) is little. If he were to do a heavy attack that would have a lot of force (X4) the damage would be very high. Chester wondered if he could combine attacks. For example, he could use charge then midway jump and using the extra force scratch. Since he would have a stupid amount of force that would mean that the damage would be 4 times. If he could do that he could combine things with future attacks meaning that being balanced with rarity would be a good idea. Of course, this is all in theory so it could work or it might completely fail and end in him getting killed. 11 Mighty club of all destruction forever One week 4 days later During the time between when he had gained the rare scratch card and today Chester had done quite a bit. Since then Chester had grinded mice which was a boring task. To upgrade scratch he needed 5 rare cards which means he would need 25 common cards. Just doing that took long enough for a week to pass. With the other 4 days, he did some very difficult chilling out. However, today was the day. Today was when the troll dared too attack Hermoine. A red glint appeared in Chester''s eyes as he thought of this. Chester walked to the girl''s bathroom and hid behind a corner. 3 hours later Hermoine came flying around the corner with her head in her arms. As she walked into the bathroom Chester followed behind her and rubbed his body against her legs. Hermoine turned around with puffy red eyes and picked him up and took him into the bathroom to cry on. 10 minutes later Hermoine had finally calmed down dried her eyes. Hermoine opened the door to a club that bearly missed her. The top of the bathroom collapsed into a mess of splinters and wood. Hermoine looked up and was about to run when she saw something black in her view. She saw Chester standing up to the great beast. If it was any other cat it would be afraid and shivering on the floor however Chester stood strong as if he a dam stopping a flow of water. "NO RUN CHESTER" Hermoine cried as she thought how she would lose her only friend. As a club came swerving out towards the cat Hermoine thought of her memories of the cat. How she had first picked him up beaten and bruised, How she first bathed him and how they always slept together as well as how afraid she felt when he came home from the Forbidden Forest covered in blood and bruises. As the club got closer she hung on to the memories of the small cat that seemed to never die. Her small heart pounded at her memories and as she had to watch his death gradually came closer. She thought to herself that this would have never had happened if she didn''t take him to Hogwarts. As the club was about to hit Hermoine''s eyes fluttered closed and all went black. BANG! Hermoine opened her teary eyes wearily to see something that amazed her. The cat''s claws glowed red and behind him was a club that had broken in half. In front of the cat, a troll stood amazed at the tiny creature that destroyed his ''Mighty club of all destruction forever''. The troll''s head pounded with confusion at the cat before shouting "SMALL CREATURE LUCKY". As the troll tried to punch Chester a grey pair of antlers sprouted on the cats head before he charged at the troll causing its fist to fly back as if it had hit a barrier. Chester''s antlers were about to go back in before he thought ''charge'' again and he was pulled towards the troll. Before he hit Chester jumped and used scratch causing a large red trail of blood to appear from the troll''s hip to his shoulder. The troll was enraged and picked up the end of his club before using a mediocre type of magic that basically stuck the parts together. The troll raised the club, however, the door slammed open and Harry and Ron ran in. Ron shouted "Wingardium Leviosa" after a prompt from Hermoine causing the troll''s club to stay in midair while the troll swung. The troll''s club fell heavily on his head managing to knock it out. After the troll was knocked out he knew that he wouldn''t be able to kill it however he saw small white dots floating from the troll. He tried to imagine that floating into him as as he thought it did. Chester felt alot stronger then he did before and he felt as if he could kill the deer with pure strength now. It seemed he needed to kill for a card but just defeat something to gain it''s strength. A few seconds after everyone had calmed down three teachers had run in to see a troll led on the floor. Surrounding it were three students and a cat. "Explain yourselves, both of you," Professor McGonagall asked faintly. Hermoine still took the blame which, Chester, after all, they hadn''t done much. After the group of 4 walked down the hall while Ron walked as far away from the cat as he could. He clearly still hadn''t gotten over the fact that Chester took a bite out of him. Harry and Ron were too arrogant and proud to notice that the troll was covered with wounds and injured before they killed it while Hermoine was suppressing her emotions until herself and Chester got to her room. 12 Upgrade The same night Hermoine and Chester reached her dorm room and Chester jumped on the bed. Before he could lay down Hermoine jumped at Chester and held him in a tight embrace. Her face was full of tears and falling as if her tears were leaves falling like leaves in autumn. She hugged the small well-built cat like a teddy bear with her face on Chester''s forehead. Slowly her tears slowed down and she separated from the cat. Hermoine sat on one side of the bed while Chester sat on the other side. Hermoine stared at the cat and the cat stared back. As she stared at the cat she noticed the cat''s face turn into an almost human-like smile and his eyes displayed intelligence. She hesitated a bit before asking "Can you understand me?". There was a silence in the air and Hermoine felt a little stupid. Hermoine was about to give up however the cat gave a slight nod. "Why did you protect me?" The cat looked sideways and she realized how stupid her question was after all even if Chester did know what she was saying how was he supposed to reply. It seemed that he could only say yes or no questions. Hermoine tried another question "Would you protect me from anything?" The cat instantly nodded and Hermoine replied "Well you shouldn''t after all your life is important too" After hearing this question the cat let out a smirk before jumping at Hermoine and pushing her down onto the bed. The cat laid down on top of her and fell asleep followed by Hermoine. Sunlight pushed through the curtains and caused the cat and human to wake up. Hermoine got dressed into her uniform and headed to class while Chester headed outside. After he defeated the troll his power had clearly risen so it was time to test it out. First Chester headed to a tree and jumped at it. Surprisingly from a single leap he could jump all the way onto the first branch. Chester pushed out his claws and hit it normally against the wood. The wood split and showed a mark that went halfway through the tree. If he were to use a skill on it the tree would break in half. Next, the cat tried running, Chester bent his knees and prepared to sprint. His figure zoomed past the tree and it stopped at a distance that you could barely see the tree from before. Currently, Chester could run more or less around 60mph which is the speed of a slow car. Chester was surprised at his new body as it seemed that he gained some of the troll''s power and couldn''t be compared to before. To test out his strength Chester thought ''Grind deer''. The world went black and in front of Chester stood a single deer. Chester hit charge and antlers grew from his head and he charged. Before the deer even knew what was happening a deep red cut had been slashed on its side. Chester slashed and slashed before the deer was covered in red lines through its body. The deer collapsed and turned into a single card formed by white light. Chester looked at the card that had previously fatally injured him however now he could kill it in minutes. Chester spent the rest of the day grinding deer before he gained 3 more cards. ''Upgrade Charge'' Chester commanded and the 5 cards combined and turned into a single red card that said Charge (Rare) Grow antlers and charge at enemies. X10 damage This sounded like a pretty good card that would continue to be useful later on. Noticing that the sunset Chester went back to Hermoine and jumped next to her on the bed. Chester purred as Hermoine embraced him and fell asleep. Over the rest of the month, Chester just fought with deer and prepared for the next plot event that he was needed in. Other than that Chester continued to bond with Hermoine until they were inseparable and couldn''t stand with being away from each other too long. They relied on each other for comfort and protection. 13 Thinking The problem Chester found was that he couldn''t measure his own strength. He knew that the white light made him stronger but by how much? how much could he take?. In games often strength was measured in levels however somebody could also have 500 strength and still be level one if all they did was focus on strength. The problem was how would he measure it? Could he compare it to beasts like '' A power level of 2 trolls '' however this wasn''t a game? Strength varied from troll to troll. If he was to invade a troll''s den the trolls wouldn''t have the same level and they would have different strengths. Now Chester thought about it he had died once does that mean he has a card? Chester closed his eyes and thought ''Chester'' When he opened his eyes a blood red card appeared infront of him. It wasn''t like the rare cards but more dangerous. The card said Chester (????) Rank 2 (5 common magic beasts or 1 rare magic beast to level up) Chester tried to think what this could possibly mean. It seemed that rank wasn''t a level system but a ranking system? Now that he thought about it he pulled out his cards. Scratch, Charge, bite and rat''s tail were all simply red while Chester''s card glowed. It was faint but you could see small blood red sparkles coming out of it. If he were to guess magic beast skills have effects while normal animal skill cards have are plain. This would mean that he would need 5 common magic beasts to level up. Seeing as he had never killed a magic beast before Chester guessed that the orc was a common beast. They may be classified highly but that was simply because they were very hard to capture. Can you imagine trying to capture a creature that was too stupid to know that it was losing? It would never stop struggling as well as it''s overwhelming strength. It has overwhelming strength but the mind of a baby. Chester may be able to stand off against a troll however if he were to be hit by its club one or two times he would be no more then meat paste on the side of the wall. Luckily the club wasn''t some sort of magical club and so could easily be broken in half. Chester could guess this because Ron used the levitation charm on the club. If it was a magical item there would be at least some resistance to spells. It seems to be made out of basic wood. Trolls although dumb have a very basic level of magic making sticking two pieces of wood together quite easy to him. Now Chester decided to think about the marks he made on the troll. Obviously, the teachers would be suspicious of how 3 new students managed to make the marks, however, they know that magic isn''t stiff like rock and can only be used in one way. It could be molded like clay into how you want to use it. For example like when Ron stopped the troll''s club. He didn''t use the levitation spell to move the club but to hold it in place. So to use magic that ends up with scratch marks isn''t so far of a jump. Even if they did ask the troll the most he could say would be "LITTLE CREATURE BROKE MY MIGHT CLUB OF ALL DESTRUCTION FOREVER" now remember that this is a troll talking who is like thrice the size of a human. To him, everyone is a tiny creature and he probably won''t elaborate seeing as his intelligence is like a baby''s. To go into even more depth as to why Chester won''t get caught is simple. He''s a cat. Sure he is strong but he doesn''t have magical power. His cards have magical power. He converts magical power into strength however he doesn''t own magical power. The only way for him to get noticed is if he uses a card in front of a teacher. Even if Dumbledore could see everything that happens in the school during the battle he was busy evacuating students and so wouldn''t see the battle. The problem is when you are that strong weak fights don''t alert you as much as ground shaking fights. Dumbledore''s first priority is the students and so he wouldn''t be bothered to search the school for anything interesting going on. 14 Wings? While Chester was thinking he thought of another problem... movement. Sure he could run at the speed of a car and jump quite high but what about battles in the air? What if he fights a winged beast and it just flys away when he hurts it. And Chester wasn''t about to learn how to ride a horse. Can you imagine a black cat on a horse with wings walking around Hogwarts? Now Chester could always go after a bird but that wouldn''t give him any ranks so instead, he decided to try to kill a thestral. Now a thestral''s wings are better than normal wings because they share similar wings with bats. Now bats can fly better than birds because of the amount of manipulation in their wings. Their wings have as many joints in them as a human''s finger meaning that they have an extreme amount of control over their wings. Now to most people, a problem would be the fact that you can only see them if you have seen death however not only had Chester seen death twice he had actually died before so it probably won''t be a major problem. Thestrals could be found in the forbidden forest and they will be attracted by the scent of blood. If he leaves out a bloody bait then the smell will attract the thestrals and Chester can jump out of hiding and attack them. The attack has to be quick and decisive or else it will fly away before he has a chance to take its skills. Another reason Chester wanted to go after it was that even though they are XXXX ranked they are rarer then trolls. After all, you have to die to see them so hopefully, they will count as being a rare magical beast so he can rank up. First Chester needed something with blood on it so he headed to Hagrid''s place and fished through his food supply before finding a fresh piece of cut up meat. Chester didn''t turn it into a card or else it would probably lose the bloody smell and he had never tried to covert a food card back to food. Chester dragged the meat into a part of the Forbidden Forest before dropping it and hiding it in a bush. A few minutes later a head stook out that looked like it was wearing a mask made out of somebody''s skull. It''s eyes were fully white and it''s body was the size of a horse. Slowly it walked toward the meat followed by a large group. The thestrals surrounded the meat and Chester pounced. ''Charge'' large red antlers formed on Chester''s head and he was pulled forward. Chester''s teeth glowed red with ''bite'' and he charged into a thestral knocking it down. As the other thestrals saw this they took flight leaving their comrade. The bite had pierced straight through it''s neck however even in this situation it didn''t attack but back away. Chester kept on with the rain of attacks ''charge, bite, charge, scratch'' The thestral fell onto its knees and let out its last breath before falling. The thestral turned into a white card however before he looked at it he heared a sound. "UWOO" It sounded a bit like a dolphin but that was their normal sound. As Chester looked forward he saw a young creature. It had the wings of a bat, a skull like face and armor shaped like bones. It was a child thestral. ''No wonder it didn''t attack, it wanted to protect it''s young.'' feeling bad for the small creature Chester grabbed the meat and threw it to the thestral. In a few seconds, the thestral had eaten the whole thing and had eyes that asked for more. Chester, however, was tired and tried to walk home. The thestral tried to chase him but collapsed on its own legs. To the left of the young child, a fox had appeared. The fox had been stalking the thestrals for hours waiting for a moment that a young or injured animal got split off. As it saw it''s chance the fox opened its mouth preparing to eat the child however before he could a small fluffy paw pushed his face into the dirt. The fox opened its eyes and standing above it was a black cat. The fox had prayed on a cat before however, this one was stronger. The cat let go and pushed along the thestral. As they left the fox stood as still as possible before shaking and collapsing from the pressure of the mere cat. 15 Eiffel After Chester had decided to leave the young thestral behind he thought back to the mother''s sacrifice. If he were protecting Hermoine and he died I would hope that somebody would protect her. "Ughh" Chester sighed in annoyance as he turned around and stood on the fox about to eat the child. He grabbed the thestral and dragged it along and out of the forest. The little thestral wobbled along the rough floor and fell over again. Chester went to pull it up before a white rectangle lit up on its head and appeared in Chester''s hands. The light dimmed down and it showed: Thestral (Eiffel) (Rare) Female Rank 1 Trust (70/100) So it seems that the cards not only can store skills, abilities, and traits but beasts as well. Chester wondered if he could put beasts into cards and bring them out like being a summoner in a game. Chester could just imagine people''s faces as an army of dragons came out of cards on the floor. Or maybe a queen insect that could grow their own colony. Wait does a colony count as one card or a pack? If he captured an alpha wolf would he get its pack? The trust part seems to be quite important because if it was low then the beast would do nothing although I guess it sees me as its father since I protected it and helped it. It could also trust me because it thinks that I am stronger than the others. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thestral View ------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Today my group was taken over by some evil thestrals. They killed dada before they took all of my friends the same age away. They say that they will protect us if we follow them. They say mama is alive so she can make more brothers for me. We went to eat some meat from the forest. We smelled the blood from a while away. When we were eating the food a cat jumped at us. He killed mama and the others ran away. Dada used to say that we should follow the strong and the black cat was strong. I tried to follow mister black cat but I couldn''t walk properly yet so I tripped over my legs. A foxy was about to kill me before mister cat took down foxy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- It thought ''Return Eifel'' and he turned into a white light and was put into the card. Now that he was in the card before I left I wanted to try flying. I first needed to check out the card. I thought about the card and it flew out of my chest. It said: Thestral Flight (Common) Grow bat-like wings and fly X2 speed That meant that he could fly at about 120mph since his running speed is 60mph. This was a huge boost although he couldn''t exactly fly around in the hallways since that would be quite suspicious. Chester thought ''fly'' and huge grey wings sprouted on his back. They opened up and pointed towards the sky. With a single push, the air was formed underneath Chester''s wings and it swept away the dirt underneath him. His small body was pushed upwards as he gained height. As he continued to flap his wings he realized how insignificant he was compared to the rest of the world. As he gained enough height Chester stopped flying and began to fall into a dive. His wings folded in and he began to slice through the wind like a heated knife through butter. He opened his wings causing him to glide forwards and head to Hogwarts. As he flew passed he could see Professor Snape admiring himself in a mirror. " Well done Mister Snape you sure showed them Gryffindors who is boss," Snape said as he flexed. In the next window, Professor McGonagall was putting on her make-up as if she was a school girl. What happened in Dumbledoor''s window I can''t even speak of. Chester flapped again sending him all the way down to the bridge that connected the school and landed before folding in his wings causing them to disappear. Chester began the walk back to the common room before he lied down in front of the crackling and shut his eyes while embracing the warmth. ''Release Eiffel'' Chester almost forgot about her. Chester and Eifel fell asleep in front of the fire while Chester waited for Hermoine. 16 The World As the sun fell below the sky darkness embraced the world. The nocturnal beasts awoke while others fell asleep. Children were being tucked into their beds while the adults prepared for another day of work that would cycle over and over again. Unbeknownst to these muggles, another world existed. The otherworld existed inside the human world. They shared the same space but were unaware of each other''s existence. They were like animals in a zoo, each thought they were the best without knowing the others power. Among the wizarding realm existed a beast that lived in neither. It didn''t belong to the wizarding world or the human world. It belonged to its own. The creature had a silky black coat that hid its body scarred with battles of war. The beast, however, was no more than a cat that lived to protect. A guardian of it''s loved one and a decider of his own fate. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- After Chester had awoken from his slumber he decided to take a stroll around the school. Chester walked around the medieval castle and observed every detail from the vines growing in the corner of the damp corridors to the spectacularly clean doors that looked inviting. Chester walked outside and the sun shined. Although it was sunny there was a slight chill from the winter that was creeping upon the country. The grass was luxuriously opposed to the falling leaves and dead shrubbery. If you were close to the ground like Chester you could even see the insects beginning to stock up for hibernation. Chester walked along a bridge that looked like there was an infinite abyss below it. The floor was soft on Chester''s padded feet and it felt sturdy as if it was impossible to break. While walking into lessons students excitement was easy to observe as they waited for the Quidditch season to begin followed by Christmas. Students walked out of classrooms with their heads dropped down, disappointed with their lack of knowledge. Chester entered the great hall where food appeared further then the eye could see while at the ends masterfull teachers watched over the future and potential wizards. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chester began to think about the future. The next big event was in November or it''s known to the Quidditch fans,Quidditch season. This is where Quirinus Quirrell tried to curse Harry''s broomstick and where ''the golden trio'' suspects Snape of doing it. Although there wasn''t much he needed or wanted to do with that since Harry getting a little shaken up wasn''t his problem. They then go and tell Hagrid, they find out about fluffy... oh wait fluffy might make a good pet. Anyway, after that Chester and Hermoine would finally go back home where Chester could relax for a little bit. OH wait... hehe. A fight happens at the Quidditch match, I''m sure nobody will notice me taking a bite out of Ron or too. I could also take a bite out of Draco. I don''t have any feelings of hate towards him however he''s annoying and I bet he makes fun of Hermoine to his two side-kick. If Chester did do this maybe he could take a chance to kill that rat Ron has. It will probably make Ron cry his eyes out as well giving me skills. Chester''s mouth watered as he thought of the potential skills that a wizard would bring. Also, nobody would even know that it happened. I doubt the plot would change that much since even if Wormtail does die Voldemort will just pick somebody else to help him. Even so, Chester didn''t want to play with the plot too severely since if he did he would lose his advantage of knowing what is going to happen after all the world always has a way to balance things out. If he were to mess with the plot a butterfly effect could happen and cause everything to flip onto its side. For example, Voldemort could gain infinite power or Harry could marry Hermoine or Ron could marry Ginny... hopefully not due to obvious reasons but still. A small change could change the plot. So far he had been careful with keeping the plot equal (Other than eating Ron) and didn''t try to show himself however doing this could cause massive damage. After all this thinking Chester had given himself a massive headache and so decided to snuggle up with Hermoine before Eiffel jumped on the bed as well. Chester slowly lost himself to sleep and all went black. 17 Flying too close to the sun Chester thought about his last fight. If the thestral were to actually fight back how wounded would Chester be? Would he be currently lying on the floor in a pool of his own blood or just come out with a few wounds that could be healed in a minute. Chester looked at Eiffel who was sleeping on his tail. Thestrals were said to be very loyal and even trainable. Hogwarts later even had a trained pack of thestrals. Chester, however, didn''t really understand what Eiffel would be useful for. Sure she can fly but so can he. Now that he thought about it on the card it talked about a rank. If Chester directed the white light at her would she rank up? With that idea in mind, Chester de-summoned and he thought ''Grind deer'' and everything went black. ''Thestral Flight'' Chester''s wings sprouted and he lifted off. Because his wings had x2 speed it meant that his attack would be x4 damage. Since he could walk he could fly around 120mph and with that damage it would probably rip through a deer. Chester flew at the deer and held out his red claw. A red slash could be seen along the deer before it was split in two and fell on the floor. Before the white light could do anything, Chester summoned Eiffel and pushed the white light into her. Eiffel absorbed the white light and slowly grew. A few minutes later Eiffel was thrice as big as Chester and showed. Thestral (Eiffel) (Rare) Female Rank 3 Trust (75/100) That was odd because for Chester to rank up again he needed a rare beast... wait he had just killed a rare magical beast. The thestral. Chester pulled out his card and looked at it. Chester (????) Rank 3 (5 Rare magic beasts or 1 Elite magic beast to level up) Huh, Chester ranked up but how strong are Elite beasts. XXXX beasts are thestrals, winged horses esc while XXXXX ranked beasts include werewolves and acromantula. Now, this was a good way to test out his power. If he could tame the leader of acromantula then would he get a card of its colony or just him? While attempting to kill some of the most dangerous magic beasts sounded fun but first, he had to go have some fun first by biting off some of Ron''s fingers. Have you ever heard the phrase ''flying too close too the sun'' Well that was exactly what Chester was about to do while hoping the butterfly effect doesn''t mess up the future? The Quidditch match came quickly and everybody was ready for it.''The face of between the child that lived and the dark house''. That''s what I wanted the news to say anyway. Chester walked up onto the stands with Hermoine and waited. However, it seems that he messed up the times. The fight happens in another book. Oops. However, that didn''t mean that he to give up. Chester jumped at Ron causing him to fly back. Hermoine had just left while Hagrid pretended to ignore since he knew that the cat was more than a normal cat. As he jumped at it the rat jumped out of his pocket and Chester took chase. Chester weaved in and out of the benches before managing to get ahead of the rat. Chester swerved around in front of the rat and pounced. Chester opened wide as the rat was trying to turn back into a human and crouched down as Wormtail was in the middle of transforming. The rat''s head fell off and turned into a small white card. Chester''s eyes widened at what it said. On the very top, he saw the words: Humagus 18 Worms all look alike As much as Chester wanted to destroy the plot and see what happens he couldn''t. Like he mentioned many times before the butterfly effect constantly hung over Chester like a guillotine. If he were to mess with something too much for all he knew humans could end up nuking the wizarding world. Yeah, not very fun is it? Killing Wormtail however was worth it because Chester gained a very useful card. Humagus (Common) Because of your limited control over this ability, you can only transform when you are not in danger and you could transform randomly in the same conditions. What that meant was he could only transform when he was safe but as he upgrades it chances are that it will improve so Chester can use it by command. Now Chester thought about how do Animagus stay clothed when they transform?. Does it like combine with their skin? or is it underneath the fur or something? Maybe they even keep a bag on them. Also what happens to their wands. I doubt that would combine with their skin I mean Chester didn''t really want to be in a life and death fight, transform into a human and be without clothes. That would be a very bad idea. For one it''s probably very embarrassing. Maybe they use transfiguration and turn rock into clothes or something like that. Either way, it is very magical. Chester let out a cat yawn and decided to beat a look-alike rat into submission to be Ron''s pet. It wasn''t a permanent solution but it would be okay for a while. It''s only use was to make Ron think that his rat was okay, take it to Eygpt where Sirus would find out about it. Chester searched the stands and found a rat that looked almost exactly like Rons although it wasn''t that hard since there aren''t that many types of rats that don''t look like Wormtail. Chester decided to be very gentle with this rat since if he were to use even a little bit more power then chances are that the rat would be splattered of the back of somebody''s leg. Chester pushed it down and gave it a tiny flick which caused it to squeak. Eventually, the rat gave up and was tamed. Rat (common) rank 0 (Trust -50/100) The reason this works with such a low trust stat is that of submission. The trust was high but it was a negative type of trust so it worked like normal. Even though Chester was a cat and the rat was a rat they still had a basic level of understanding. Chester didn''t need a high level of understanding to tell the rat to go and be Ron''s pet. The rat ran up to Ron and hid in his pocket like Wormtail used to do. The cat left the Quidditch match with a few fo Wormtail''s hairs just in case. Now he thought about it the underneath of Hermoine''s bed was currently filling up with bits and bobs that Chester had been bringing in. It was probably about time that he made a place to store the stuff. It had to be away from humans, hidden from wizards as well as it not taking up much space. What Chester wanted to do was learn magic from books which would allow him to find a cave in the Forbidden Forest where he can store the stuff he can find. As fun, as it would be Chester, can''t turn everything he has into cards. He had tried it with some other things but it seems like they need... vitality to become cards. For example, bread and food give health, skills give extra buffs, tamed animals are well helpers. While inanimate objects and ingredients can''t be stored. Besides Chester didn''t exactly feel like storing an animagus''s hair inside him anytime soon. Chester wanted to find a cave in the Forbidden Forest, put some sort of barrier and illusion over it kind of like the one over Hogwarts although a lot smaller in size and then create a storage room there. It would be like his own hideout where he could develop himself. He could practice magic, do projects and try out new things without having to worry about being underneath Dumbledores magnifying glass. Although obviously, he wouldn''t want to sleep there. Chester decided to go back home and he jumped on Hermoine''s bed. Just a little bit longer until we get to go back home Chester thought as he fell asleep. However, after Hermoine came back and fell asleep something wired happened. 19 Another Cliff!!? Hermoine had gotten back from another exhausting day at school. Harry and Ron were always a pain with their lack of knowledge so she always ended up doing their projects for them. They even copied off her when they forgot to do their homework. If they spent even half the time they did getting into trouble and instead studied they would be able to do all this stuff on their own. The only person that she felt as if she could talk to without stress was her cat, Chester. Chester was different from any other cat. She found him after being beaten up in an alley somewhere at took him in. Chester had caused her to worry about him quite a few times and almost always came home with an extra scar to show. Almost like how some cats catch birds and rats to give to their master to show their affection however with her cat it was scarring. If somebody were to look at her cat they would instantly think that he was often abused by human or other animals. Obviously what they didn''t know was that this ''abused cat'' went around killing deer and that if he wanted to he could kill them with ease. Now after a troll attack a while back Hermoine had seen Chester in a new light. Hermoine always thought that she was protecting the small bullied cat however she soon realized that the cat was protecting her. After that, they could never sleep without each other. If they weren''t with each other they would always think of one another as if they were bound together. Hermoine went towards the bed and ran her hand down the smooth black cat''s fur. Most of the scars were on the legs and belly rather than the back which she thought was like how men thought a scar on the back showed that you were a coward. Hermoine jumped into bed and pulled the cat into a cuddle like a teddy bear. The cat didn''t resist at all as it was pulled into her embrace which just showed how much trust they both put into each other. Chester purred with delight as he fell into a gentle sleep. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Over in the boys'' dorm, Ron was talking to Harry "Don''t you think Hermoine''s cat is a pain. I mean it''s very dangerous, It bit my finger off once" Harry let out an enthusiastic nod "Your right Ron that cat should be put in its place" "I know what you mean Harry but Hermoine would hate us if we killed her cat," Ron said without stuttering. "Ron..." said Harry awkwardly "Yes Harry?" "Who said anything about killing her cat..." Ron sat silently thinking back to the conversation. "W-well we were both thinking it wasn''t we" Ron whispered "Sure, Ron sure" Harrys face turned into a frown before he fell back into his covers. Ron had always had a grudge against the cat as he first met him. The cat stared daggers at him before he even knew his name as well as him biting his finger off. If you looked closely enough you could even see a fine scar that had been made when they tried to reattach it. Ron gritted his teeth in anger as he thought about what the cat had done to him. Ron swore in his heart that one day he would get revenge towards the cat. Little did Ron know that Chester was far stronger than he ever could imagine. If Ron were to fight Chester at his level he would die before he could even lift his wand out of his holster. It would have probably better for Ron if he had lost that finger and quit the Wizarding World since now he had decided on an enemy that was far stronger then himself. Over Hagrid''s hut, Hagrid was analyzing what he had found out about Hermione''s cat. Well for one it can fly. Hagrid had seen it fly around the school, which was for the best since he managed to persuade the professors that it was a cat that he taught how to stand on a flying broomstick. It seems that the cat can also grow antlers which were quite odd and he wasn''t about to try and figure out how that works. It seems that this little cat was wrapped in mysteries much like how a normal cat can get wrapped in a ball of yarn. If he were to unwrap the mysteries who knows what he could discover. 20 Neko-Chan Darkness encompassed the room from corner to corner. Stars twinkled in anticipation of future events. The moon glowed and shined inside the window. On a bed hidden behind curtains, a young girl around 11 or 12 was led on a bed hugging up to a small scarred, well-built cat. The cat was slowly being disfigured and grew in size and shape before ending up as a young 11-12-year-old boy. You could easily tell that It was the cat as he still had his piercing green eyes as well as his silky black tail and soft black ears. However, the most distinguishing feature was that he was covered in scars as if he was a general or samurai. Although his back was spotless as if he had never run away from a battle in his life. His body was well built like a brick wall or wild beast but he wasn''t muscle bound like a bodybuilder he looked flexible like a swordsman or agile like a cat. The boy pulled himself up and put his hands in front of his face "Uh oh" Chester thought. Hermoine''s eyes stirred open as she felt movement on her bed. "Chester," She asked half-heartedly. As she opened her eyes she saw a figure sitting up on her bed. He was covered in scars with glowing green eyes. Hermoine jumped up in her bed too see the odd child In her room. "Chester?" Hermoine was too tired to notice that Chester was currently without clothes. "Hey, Hermoine umm don''t be surprised let me explain," Chester said in a low voice. "Chester.. is that you" "Well unless you keep any other boys in your room then yeah" Hermoine let out a light chuckle before throwing her arms around Chester and hugging him. Unlike his cat form, Chester wasn''t soft and silky but rather rough and rigid like a stone was taken from the ground. His muscles were powerful and compact as if they were ready to well, spring. Recently Chester had discovered a new power while searching through his cards. It was called an anchor card. The idea was simple, It was a card that he could teleport to. On the card showed his card meaning that he could only give it to those he trusts. If somebody he gave his card to give it to somebody else then Chester would teleport to the new owner. So if somebody gave his card to a strong enemy and he teleported there then he would get killed. Obviously, there were limitations such as only currently having 3to give out at most and only being able to teleport after at least 60 seconds after being damaged. Now another cool thing about this card was that it could work as a network. Everyone who has a card can teleport to each other meaning that only one person has to move and everyone can go to him. Although it isn''t a communication system so even if they can teleport they don''t know when they are in danger. Chester separated from Hermoine and took out the card. ''Anchor'' A white light appeared and a card appeared in his card that said: Anchor Rank 1 Teleport to another holder of the card. You cannot teleport until 60 seconds after the last damage you inflicted or have been inflicted on. Chester gave this to Hermoine since he trusted her with his life. "Take it" "What is it?" Hermoine took the card however to her all she could see was a picture of an anchor on it. "If you ever are in danger you can''t handle call out my name," Hermoine thought it was something like a good luck charm and so she tried to put it in her pocket. However, when she was about to it formed into an anchor tattoo on her shoulder. Hermoine was shocked however she trusted Chester enough to know that it wouldn''t be dangerous. She ran over her knowledge but couldn''t identify the magic that Chester used. Hermoine decided to give up on imagining on what the magic was and decided to talk to Chester "Anyway, how are you a human? are you an animagus? can you use magic" Hermoine was full of questions however Chester was patient and decided to answer them all? "Well to answer the first question I''m using an ability which is the opposite of animagus, humagus although I don''t feel like going too in-depth or else we could be here for days. Like the other, the answer is, a kind of magic" Chester took a deep breath and finished the barrage of questions. 21 Camping Even though Hermoine was quite smart she didn''t really know when to stop asking questions. By the time she had finished asking all the questions, she could think of the sun had cracked the night sky and it was morning. Hermoine got up and was about to leave before she turned around and asked Chester with a bitter smile "Will you be here when I get back?" Chester noticed her bitter expression and replied "Yeah, I will" softly. So keeping to his promise Chester waited and waited and waited until the door creaked open. "Sorry I was late Chester Harry and Ron needed my help," said Hermoine " You know for such a smart person you sure are manipulated easy" Hermione''s face turned serious. "What!?" "Well, it''s obvious that they are using you as a homework slave. Do you get anything back from them?" "W-well the-they say they o-owe me" " And that''s it" Chester was about to fall asleep before he got pushed out of the room by a crying Hermoine "BAD CAT". The door was slammed shut behind Chester. "Ugh" Chester knew that it was his fault and when somebody was basically told that they were just a tool no matter how strong-willed they are it''s a pretty normal reaction to it. Chester decided to go into the Forbidden Forest until Hermoine cooled her head a bit. Chester had wanted a storage place in the Forbidden Forest for a while now so today was a good time to find a place. Chester looked around before transforming into a cat and headed to the Forbidden Forest. The Forbidden Forest was as always dark and withered. The plants that were grown were pitch black matching the feeling of the forest. Chester walked around before finding a cave near a fresh water source. Strangely there were no animals around the water unless there was something more dangerous in that cave. Normally Chester would jump straight at a dangerous beast but he had a lack of skills to fight within such a small cave. There was no place to fly so that makes his attack half the speed and so half the damage. Using charge in a narrow cave wasn''t the best idea. For all, he knew the cave could collapse and leave him stuck inside it so Chester wasn''t planning on using that cave any time soon. So Chester set off to find another cave that he could use instead of the one that was probably occupied by a very deadly and strong beast. After many hours of searching Chester finally found a cave. In front of it was some fresh water which animals come to drink and leave while a cave was to the right of it.Chester decided to explore the cave. The outside of the cave looked menacing, the inside had dripping water making it look as if it was underwater. As Chester got further in he found an open round room. It was neatly layered stone bricks that formed into the shape of a dome. There were many ancient doors however Chester could only open four. The bathroom, Bedroom, training room and library. The library was filled with ancient magic books that looked suspiciously dangerous. They were neatly stacked on the bookshelves however the rooms seemed as clean as a normal house although in this library I wouldn''t be surprised if there was a dust cleaning spell. Chester opened a heavy book however he couldn''t tell what the ancient words meant. With a newly gained headache, Chester decided to go to the bedroom. It was amazingly fancy and contained a king size bed with curtains although obviously, it didn''t have a window to use. Chester woke up to a grumbling stomach so he went outside to hunt some animals. Outside near the freshwater animals ofter gathered so he decided to sneak a kill in. Chester watched a fox go to get a drink. Before he could leaver Chester leaned forwards and threw it into a bush giving it instant death. Chester brought it back with a flint stone, kindling and dry twigs. Chester piled the sticks and scratched lightly onto the flint causing it to spark the kindling which was put onto the fire. Chester roasted the fox over the fire and ate it whole before lying down on the bed and falling asleep. Chester woke up and waited a bit before deciding to return Hogwarts and see if Hermoine had calmed down. Chester walked into the dorm before... 22 Slap The **** Out Of Him Hermoine jumped at Chester crying. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few hours earlier ------------------------------------------------------------------------- After Hermoine had calmed down and she had gone to class and like always Ron and Harry asked for help with their homework. She went to the library with them following before she found a table, got some books, paper, and a quill. Hermoine was constantly studying and enjoyed the extra work they gave her however what she frowned upon was people not trying to improve themselves and people who pushed work onto other people. Hermoine tried to ignore the fact that they weren''t trying before Ron asked " Hey, Hermoine when are you going to finish that. I have places to be" "WHERE RON WHERE DO YOU HAVE TO BE!!" Ron and Harry were thrown back with Hermoine''s sudden outburst. "WHERE DO YOU HAVE TO BE?!!". Ron''sface went red with embarrassment "Well we-ll Ummm uhhhhh" "WHERE?" Under the pressure Ron said the first thing that came to mind "Studying, I needed to study" Ron said with a proud expression. "Ron we are supposed to be studying now," Harry whispered to his friend. "YOU''RE NO BETTER HARRY WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" At the sudden question Harry reacted with "Well, I am recovering from stopping Voldemort" "10 YEARS AGO HARRY, THAT WAS 10 YEARS AGO AND YOU DIDN''T DEFEAT HIM YOU BLOCKED HIM GENIUS" Harry was about to come out with a reply before Hermoine ran off out of the library. Before Harry could think Madam Irma, the librarian came up to him and told them to shut up. Everyone watched as Hermoine came charging down the corridor and luckily went up the stairs before they moved. Hermoine charged into her room and jumped onto the bed. Later there was a knock on the door and a cat stood looking up at her. Immediately Hermoine jumped a the cat and hugged him crying "You were right Chester, I''m so sorry". Hermoine''s tears flowed and the child and cat stood there hugging for hours while people passing by looked with curiosity. A bit later on Harry and Ron came in trying to find her. When they came up the stairs Hermoine was hugging her cat. "Hermoine..." Harry said softly. Ron kneeled down so that they were on the same level height. Before he could react the cat headbutted him and he went flying into a wall. Chester held his head high as he realized that he hadn''t yet abused Harry any. Chester walked up to Harry as he drew his wand. "Wingardium Leviosa" Harry shouted. Chester felt a little lighter.'' HAHAHA, THAT IDIOT HE JUST BUFFED ME '' Chester laughed in his mind. Chester jumped at Harry and he ducked causing Chester to jump back of the wall. Where he had jumped of left some cracks on the wall although if this were normal stone it would have snapped like a twig. Harry had very limited knowledge of spells so it was amazingly easy to avoid his spells.Harry tried to cast a transfiguration spell but it did nothing which shows how weak he really was. At this point, Harry couldn''t even make Chester bleed. Harry had better battle instincts and magic power than most however compared to Chester who had experienced a bunch of battles as well as being simply strong it was easy to subdue Harry. Chester slapped Harry knocking him out before doing the same to Ron. To make sure that they would never remember this Chester decided to do something a bit more brutish than the memory charm that takes memories. Chester jumped on Harry and Ron and slapped the **** out of them. After being satisfied Chester through them outside. Chester made sure to try and leave one bruise of each of them. Any more then that and they would ask the teachers why they woke up with bruises. 23 Kidnapped? After Chester had dealt with the two audiences he decided to have a talk with Hermoine. "You were right Chester. To them I was just the girl who does their work, I should have listened I''m sorry." Hermoine apologized with real sincerity before Chester replied with "Just forget about it. We are leaving tomorrow anyway." Hermoine wiped away her sadness before smiling "Yes, You are right. We should just forget about them and leave for the break." Hermoine let out a genuine smile before they fell asleep on the bed. The next day they gathered their stuff before they left. They were lead towards the train before getting on and finding a carriage that they could use. While on the train Chester fell asleep on Hermione''s lap. Hermoine fell asleep soon after. Time passed like the wind and soon Chester and Hermoine had reached home. Hermoine''s parents embraced Hermoine while wondering how that abused weak cat had turned into a scary looking beast. Magic they guessed. Hermoine''s parents took her luggage into the car before we got in and drove home. The ride home was calming as the last few months had been hectic. Chester had gained a lot of strength in the time that he had been away and gained a few friends... wait. EIFFEL!!!!!! Hmm, luckily Chester could just de-summon her. Close one. Over the school year, Chester had also got closer to Hermoine and probably destroyed the Golden Duo however it was better than leaving Hermoine to be a slave of the group. It was the right thing to do, not like he really cared about ethics anyway. Finally, they got home. Chester jumped out of the car and ran inside. Although it wasn''t much he preferred it to Hogwarts. That place had horrible floors to sleep on. They were cold and even when he jumped on the bed it was too small. Luckily at Hermione''s house, there was a bit more room then the dorms. Here there was no plot to worry about and just human problems. What could go wrong with that? Right. After getting home Chester decided to go into the garden. It was one place that he enjoyed in the human world. Chester liked the peace it gave. You wouldn''t think Chester would like that but he enjoyed the time to think. He could see bugs scuttering across the floor and birds flying above the ground. If he looked close enough you could see spiders weaving their nests in the corners of the fences and between the leaves in the trees. Under the ground, ants were serving the queen ant until they died from age and battle. Chester lied down on the crunchy grass as closed his eyes. The grass was too rough to fall asleep so he decided to find Hermoine. Chester looked around the house for Hermoine. Judging by how empty the fridge was she must of have gone to the shop. Chester walked down the streets looking for the way to the shop before he walked down an alley that is a shortcut. In the middle of the alley led a single wand that was a pretty white color. It looked suspiciously like Hermoines. ''**** **** **** ****" After Chester shouted out in the middle of an alley his eyes were red with murderous intent. The alley was trashed. Litter was thrown everywhere and small amounts of blood were left on the floor. If he had to guess she was kidnapped. Tried to pull out her wand but was noticed and it was taken away. Chester was enraged with the kidnappers and decided to find an animal with a great sense of smell. And he needed one quickly. Sure he could beat up the villains but finding them was a completely different issue. 24 Rescue Chester needed to find an animal with a great sense of smell and one he knew of was a.... bear. Yep, a bear has one of the best sense of smell. Apparently, they can even smell a elk underwater. Now the problem is that this is Britain and there would be no bears near here where he could face off against without being seen. The only place would be a zoo and even muggles can check security cameras. Now you may not know this but there are English snakes. Yeah, scary right. Chester wasn''t a professional at recognizing snakes si instead he would have to just kill what he could find. Chester ran to the park and used his enhanced senses from the white light to try and locate some snakes. Chester found two snakes although he couldn''t recognize them he went for a kill. Chester used to scratch on the both causing them to die almost instantly. They were non-magic beasts and so didn''t cause much of a problem towards him. They couldn''t even react before they were cut into two and turned into a card. Now for one of them he got: Snake Poison (Common) Give your opponent lasting damage and a 5% chance of paralysis. And for another one her got Snake Smell (Common) x4 smell Alright, with these new abilities there was no time to lose. Chester ran back toward the alley and flicked his tongue. Now that he had locked on to Hermoine''s smell he could follow it. Chester sprouted wing and took flight. Chester turned and twisted through the streets going so fast that the muggles didn''t even see it. Chester entered a small broken down part of the town before landing. Chester could smell that Hermoine was close and so followed her scent. This led him to a small garage with a suspicious white van outside. Chester didn''t know why people drove them because they were very suspicious compared to throwing somebody in the trunk. Chester could see that the house was old and looked abandoned. Without wasting any more time he made entered. As swift as a cat, he went inside. Inside was a chair with a teenager tied in the middle. "Heh, the boss will love this. I bet she would ransom for a lot, if not we can sell her for a nice price." Hermoine was obviously shocked by that and began to struggle. The 5 criminals entered the room and tried to force her down and subdue her. Chester ran next to her and before the criminals knew it a cat was stood in front of them. "Hey, I thought somebody was guarding the door. How did a cat get it." "Sorry sir, I was on break" The criminal sighed and thought ''This is an illegal operation, not a desk job'' "Whatever kill it" The guards aimed their weapons at Chester preparing to riddle the well-built cat with bullets for some reason. Chester transformed into a bloodthirsty beast in seconds and activated charge. Red antlers sprouted and Chester ran. Before they knew what was happening the criminals were on their knees with all that was left of their legs is a twisted mess. Chester used to bite on a criminal causing his arm to be ripped off and bleed everywhere. Chester scratched another causing him to have a cut that went straight through the bone. A bullet flew at Chester and hit him. It caused blood to fly although it didn''t go too deep. Even more enragedChester ran forward and appeared before the shooter. Chester bit the criminals head off before giving the others a similar gory end. Chester pulled of the roped off the chair and allowed Hermoine to stand up. Hermoine took the blindfold off and looked around. Body parts were scattered everywhere and blood leaked like an oil canister. Hermoine ran towards a bin and leaned over. Even a level-headed girl like her couldn''t react properly to this. Hermoine was silent as Chester led her home and when she got home she went straight to her room. ''Oh no, I may have made a mistake'' Chester thought. 25 Bored After a few days Hermoine got gradually happier and by the end of the week, she was back to normal although that scene would always be in her head. Chester tried to apologize but she always said that she should be apologizing since Chester saved her. Who knows what could have happened if he was late. Luckily he wasn''t late and got there before she was sent so far that Chester couldn''t chase. Chester just couldn''t get any rest, could he? I mean what are the chances of running into a gang of kidnappers. Is this destiny saying that Hermoine shouldn''t have left the golden trio? Chester didn''t know why that would be after all the golden duo sounds a bit... better although not by much. Chester was board out of his mind so he decided to have a walk around the house. It took a few minutes and then he was bored again. It seems that Chester had come upon a challenge. He needed to defeat his boredom. Now Chester could go torture some mouses but he didn''t find that a very fun thing to do. Oh, after a bit of think Chester decided that he could play with the mouses. It would help him practice his strength control before he ends up accidentally killing somebody. ''Grind Mouse'' Chester was sent into the familiar dark place before a white, rabid mouse appeared in front of him without Chester even knowing where it came from. It seemed to jump out from the darkness. Chester hit the mouse with a tad of force causing the aggroed mouse to fly into a variety of organs and pelt. "Too much," Chester said too himself. Next, he tried the next on another one on the fragile mouse. This time the mouse lived but was crushed. Not feeling glad at the torture Chester finished it quickly. One more time and he managed to hit the mouse with his paw without it smashing. The mouse just jumped at the hit and continued attacking. Its attacks fell dull on Chester''s pelt and didn''t even graze the cat. Chester tried to play with the small mouse without hurting it. After 15 more mice, Chester finally was satisfied with his control over his own strength. After killing 15 mice Chester had got another elite bite card although it probably would have been a better idea to practice on rats as Chester personally preferred to use scratch. Now Chester wanted to go for Humagus cards. When he killed Wormtail he won so easily because he was so unprepared to the point that he was stuck in changing while he was killed. It was his fault he let his guard down. ''Grind Wormtail''. Evil darkness appeared for as far as the eye could see. In front of Chester stood a human. He has big teeth and a squished nose that made him look like a rat. He was ragged and ripped but looked dangerous. Chester took a fighting position and Wormtail drew his wand."Stupefy" Wormtail called a spell which turned red. It was a lot faster than Harry''s casting speed at hit Chester dead-on. Chester went dizzy and he heard "Vlegga Sparar". A white arrow flew out of his wand although Chester gained back his mobility causing it to hit across his side. Chester used ''charge'' and antlers sprouted. He also used ''flight'' causing him to go even faster than a spell. Chester flew at Wormtail "BOMBARDA MAXIMA" A massive explosion came out of the wand causing Chester to dodge. Even at Chester''s speed, he was still burnt by it. Chester used ''scratch'' on Wormtail''s arm causing his arm and his wand to fall off. The rest was easy and with a few swipes Wormtail''s head fell off. What Chester gained from that was another Humagus card. Chester let out a large sigh as he thought about how hurt he would get by doing this. A day laterChester had finally got 4 more cards that he needed. A brand new set of scars was visible on him now though. ''Combine Humagus'' The 5 humagus cards floated before spectacularly formed into a single red card. Humagus (Rare) You now have enough control to command your form in battle although it only lasts 30 minutes. If the fight ends before then you can keep form. 26 Trip After a few days Hermoine got gradually happier and by the end of The next morning Chester woke up to a bang on the letterbox. He went downstairs and on the doorstep was an old letter that was stuck with the Hogwarts emblem addressed to Chester Cleo. "What would Hogwarts want with me?". Chester opened the letter and burst out laughing "HAHAHAHAHAhahaha...ha...ha...ha" Chester gasped as he read the letter. Dear Mr. Chester, We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. While reading this Chester couldn''t help but burst out into laughter again "Hahaha he What a bunch of idiots" Below was a list of the equipment that he needed to attend. "THEY INVITED A CAT TO HOGWARTS" Chester tried to get back his breath but it was just so stupidly funny. He had been there for a term already. "Ughh when am I ''supposed'' to attend. Below it said ''August 1st 1998"So they expected Chester to attend the first year while Hermoine was in the second year. Chester moved the letter upstairs and nudged Hermoine. Hermoine moaned as she woke up, "What time is it, Chester?" Chester took the human form "Here" Chester held out the letter and Hermoine sat up to take it. When Hermoine read the letter she let out a soft laugh before saying "This is great Chester, If you do this we can be together at school and you wouldn''t be board out of your mind while you stay in my room." "But I dun wanna" Chester said with displeasure. "Well, in the end, it is up to you but it would give you something to do. Besides, I''m sure you love to learn some magic" That was a true argument since Chester really needed to learn something. He had all them magic books and nothing to do with them. Now he could give them to Hermoine but who could tell what was contained inside it. For all Chester knew it could be a trap that killed you once you read it, or maybe some dark magic that corrupts the mind. Chester''s mind was corrupt enough already although not with dark magic but something else just as deadly. Chester decided to leave the letter for later after he decided what to do with it. Should he go to Hogwarts? or just leave it. Today Hermoine''s parents wanted to go on a trip up the mountains for a small holiday. Hermoine''s parents wanted to put Chester on a lead in case he ran off and got lost although eventually, Hermoine persuaded them not to although instead, Chester got a collar which was annoying apparently a ''normal cat'' would have one. Yeah right. They got in the car and drove to the mountains. The scenery on the way there was nice and filled with farmland and countryside. Finally, they got to the car park at the bottom of the mountain and got out. We got out some backpacks out of the car and headed up. The sun shined between the leaves as we walked up the trail. The hill was steep and left the others tired while Chester barely felt any exhaustion with my body. After a long treck, the sun started to fall and we hit the top of the mountain. Everyone let out a sigh and started to pant. We sat down and Hermoine''s parents got out the food out of a basket. Chester got some salmon and chicken and water while Hermoine and the rest got sandwiches, burgers, cuscus and scotch eggs as well as fizzy drinks. This was obviously unfair and so Hermoine snuck him some food and poured some drinks into my bowl. They all enjoyed it and cheerful laughter filled the mountains. Night soon descended and darkness filled the world. It was time to go and so they did another treck down the mountain and got into the car. It was a peaceful day, no fights, no danger just fun. It had been a long time since Chester had been so peaceful. By the time we were home everybody was tired and so went straight to bed. 27 That was expected The next morning Chester was quite bored so he decided to take a stroll. The sun warmed up his fur to a nice toasty temperature. England has a very messed up temperature for example in summer it could be as cold as winter and vice versa and luckily it was a nice day today. Chester walked around the streets until he saw something fishy. (Unexpected cat joke cuz cats like fish... maybe?) A man dressed in black walked out of a house without locking the door which was odd but not suspicious however Chester noticed a speck of blood on his color. A normal person couldn''t see it but a man dressed in black at this temperature was suspicious anywhere. Chester decided to leave it alone since it wasn''t really his problem and headed home. The next day Chester walked around and saw the same house covered in police tape and police surrounding it. Police vans and cars were stationed outside and a few officers were leaning on a wall talking. "Another hit huh?" A veteran officer asked to a younger one "Yes sir, the detectives have found a pattern" A few minutes of silence followed and the older detective got a bit annoyed "And? what is it?" "Oh, right sir umm apparently the killer hitting houses on this street. Started at one and now is at 8 and we can''t let the public know or they will go crazy" ''HUH, A SERIAL KILLER IS GOING AROUND AND YOU ARN''T WARNING US. WHAT ARE YOU EXPECTING TO HAPPEN'' Chester had a small tantrum in his mind before calming down and thinking. Currently, Hermoine''s house is the 11th if he hits one a night then that means that Chester has 3 days to investigate although obviously, one per day would mean that he was already on his ninth murder. If he follows this routine how would he sneak past all the officers and kill somebody? All the officers would be a door down the road so to get in and out would be practically impossible. Chester snuck around and jumped onto the roof and went inside the window. Footprints lead inside. They were too big and the wrong shape to be a female but they couldn''t be crossed off. The footprints lead downstairs and into a small room. With my senses, I could get a trace of the killer. I followed the scent outside into an alley where a few bins were kept. I looked at the large metal one and looked inside it. Lying on the very top was a police badge that was left there. ''An imposter? or maybe he really works for the police and this is his hobby'' Chester looked around for any other clues but he couldn''t find any. It seems that the police moved to next door to look at another murder. ''To be completely honest it was kind of funny. It''s like they are postmen going one door at a time'' So what Chester had to go on was that he was a member of the police missing a badge and that he was probably male. Not a lot to go one. Chester could just wait outside and kill him when he moves to the 10th house however he couldn''t just kill him. Its way too much of a populated area for a police officer to die. It could cause a whole bunch of problems like them questioning the whole streets for information. Just annoying to deal with. Chester needed a way to prove the killer''s guilt and a way to do that was to catch him red-handed. Chester headed home and ''borrowed'' a camera from Hermoine''s parents. He got into a nice position and watched the window. The victim went to sleep and while the police were investigating next door Chester heard a door quietly shut. Chester turned on the camera to record and took the video. The man snuck into her room holding an oddly shaped object. ''Must be the murder weapon'' Chester thought. The man turned on the lights and revealed himself. Chester''s eyes widened in shock as the face of the killer was revealed. It was the local drunk. The item that he was holding was a beer bottle and it was his wife''s house. Chester let out a sigh as he realized that the man was just going to sleep in his own bed. Chester was about to walk away when he heard a clear ''slash''. Chester turned around and saw that the drunk had a knife stuck inside of him. ''The bin will have his uniform in it'' Chester jumped down and ran towards the alley and ran into the alley. Chester heard a thump. And as the man ran past he managed to sneak a picture. The man tried to chase but Chester was gone in seconds. Chester looked at the photo and was he saw wasn''t very shocking or unexpected. 28 Holy macaroni cheesecake squash!! The shrouded man had completed another kill. It was a simple plan, sneak in, kill, sneak out and then change again, oh that is a bit complicated. It went well at first. I managed to sneak in fine although the door was heavy and a tad bit too small for the frame causing it to slam a bit heavier then I expected although it was a minor inconvenience to the plan. I crept through the doorways looking for my victim. A drunk man was stumbling down the hall and went into his room. I followed him into his room and ended up inside. I grabbed my knife and raised it above my head before thrusting it down into the squishy fast that squelched as I twisted it. Satisfied with my work I ran out and back into the alley. When I got into the alley I saw something strange, It was a cat. Now a cat in an alley wasn''t suspicious but the cat had a camera hanging down from its neck. If he were to post its picture it would go viral It was that cute. However, he didn''t trust the cat, although it was cute it''s built and scars made it look intimidating and he didn''t trust that camera that he had wrapped around his neck. The shrouded man walked up to the cat and knelt down "Come here kitty tut". The cat cautiously approached him and he reached for the camera. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chester watched as the man knelt down and called him ''Heh you think that tut stuff will work on me? I''ll rip your arm off" Chester walked towards the man and as he reached out Chester used scratch. Before the man could react his arm opened up and started spurting out blood like a fire hydrant "AHHHHHH" The man screamed as his blood gushed out. You could see him paling as blood flew out. Chester didn''t cut his arm off but just hit some veins meaning that blood flew out. It looked like he had been full on scratched by a deadly animal. The man fell unconscious and Chester threw a towel he found on it so he wouldn''t die from blood loss. Chester nudged off the shroud and saw that the man was the young policeman from before. Chester half expected this outcome and so he threw the badge he found in the last bin into the one the police uniform was in. Now that that was dealt with Chester walked away but first jumped into a pond to get rid of the blood that was on him. Chester let out a yawn and jumped into his own cat bed. He was still wet and smelly so he wouldn''t want to disturb Hermoine. The next morning Chester walked out and saw the house next to theirs covered in police tape. Chester listened to some of the conversations that were going on "Apparently the psycho was from the police force" "Holy macaroni cheesecake squash, how did they find out?" "Well he was found unconscious in an alley, He had the blood of the victim on his hands as well as and we found his uniform in the bin next to him" "Unconscious?" " Yeah, he got attacked by a wild animal" "He deserved it" There were many conversations going on but that was the most interesting one. Chester was satisfied and decided to go back home for a rest. Chester let out a helpless sigh as he thought that animals see everything. In just a few weeks Chester had seen more than most people ever see in their lives which sounded cool but he just couldn''t get a break. The only safe place was home and Hogwarts was even more dangerous. Chester just rested for days and he had thought about grinding but If you think about it even cats need rest. Now there was something Chester wanted to try that wasn''t too difficult. Now the Patronus charm worked by using the most positive memories but what about other emotions? Chester turned human before realizing that he had no wand. Instead of trying to use a wand he tried to use his body as a conductor for magic. Wands amplify and focus magic and if he were to do the same with his body what would happen? They would make the best match. Chester thought of when he was beaten up and before he met Hermoine. "Expecto Patronum". Slowly a dark blood red entity formed into a dark panther. It had bright red eyes and built like a horse. It looked intimidating. However next cards began to fly out of Chester and circle the panther. All the cards began to glow and he gained a pair of wings as well as a pair on entwined antlers. It seems that I can mix cards with magic? What the panther did was up for experiment however, for now, Chester went back to chilling. 29 Rahdui Yesterday, Chester had learned how cards could affect or rather customize magic. Chester wasn''t sure if it would effect magic but so far the ones that he had tried had no effect. Chester was fully recovered and in good health for going back to Hogwarts in a week but first, he wanted to explore again. Chester had seen the streets and the alleys but there was one more place he wanted to look before he left. Up. Chester wanted to see what existed in the sky other than clouds and planes. Chester went into the garden and sprouted his bat-like wings which took up most of the garden. With a single flap, Chester was pushed up into the air and into the sky. Chester aimed up and continued to flap his wings to go further and further. Soon he reached the clouds which didn''t taste like candy floss but rather air which dried out his mouth. Soon Chester exploded out of the clouds leaving a stairway on cloud leading up from where he had exited. The previously still clouds turned erratic asChester pierced the sky and entered a layer that was between the clouds. It was a cloudless layer with all you could see was the sky. Below him, clouds floated around and the same happened above him. On top of some clouds, a small structure lay. Chester looked at its menacing walls and intimidating gate before heading towards it. Before Chester could get closer bloodlust flew at his causing even Chester to tremble. Chester noticed a roar behind him and a shadow that could topple a city rose from the clouds erupted. Chester watched in fear as it rose and rose until it reached the bottom to the top of the cloud layer. It was fully black with wings that could hug the world and eyes that could scare a ghost. Its body was filled with shining black scales that spikes ran down the back of its head to the tail. The beast''s teeth were as pointed as a needle but as large as a man. It seemed like that this creature could destroy the world with a wave. It had claws that matched its teeth and bloodlust that could bring down a dragon by its lonesome. Chester watched as the beast widened its mouth with an evil grin and began to gather a dark force out of nowhere. Faster than light the darkness formed into flames and burst out at Chester. ''Is this the end? After everything I die from curiosity, They say curiosity kills the cat I guess it''s true'' Chester closed his eyes knowing that his body couldn''t react to the attack that was large and faster then he could even imagine. The thoughts he thought were merely his outer ones. No spell, trick or card could save him. By the time he picked a skill, he would be nothing but ash. Chester felt the flames of the fire before they suddenly stopped. Chester opened his eyes and in front of him stood a squad of men and women. They had blue skin and scaled bodies however they also had small wings that they wore like backpacks and you could see they could be detached. In front of them large magic circles formed which differed from normal magic. Normal magic would come out of the wand then activate while it looked like the scaled people had different steps. User -----> Wand----->Cast -----> Activate User ----->Cast -----> Circle -----> Activate It seems like the circles worked as some sort of magic amplifier that replaced wands and was a lot stronger than it too although that was just from somebody who only saw the last stage so who knows what other steps there are. The magic circles seemed like some sort of defensive magic, after all, it was holding back the monster''s flames. The scaled people suddenly gleamed and the magic circle flew forward in front of the dragon before terrifying green flames flew out of the circle as if they came from hell itself. The spell unexpectedly worked and the beast roared in rage from being attacked however before it could attack again more circles surrounded it and chains flew out causing the monster to be bound. It didn''t last long, however, the beast exhausted a lot of energy destroying the magic chains and left. The scaled people turned back and moved to Chester. "What do you want cat? This area is not for anyone else other then my people, the Rahdui" the centerman said. Chester was about to talk before what he assumed to be some of the Rahdui said "Leave now" Chester tried to ask something however they emitted a fearsome bloodlust that focused in on Chester causing him to retreat with slightly trembling legs. He was trying to be brave however he knew he couldn''t win. He then flew back down hoping to avoid that monster. 30 Thread A Needle Chester didn''t even want to think about what just happened. It was way more complicated then he wanted to think about. Chester wasn''t the sharpest tool in the shed and so he felt as if his mind would die if he were to even think about what just happened. All he could be bothered to take out of that situation was that there was more then meets the eye to the magic world which was a bit ironic since the magic world was hidden from muggles and something was hidden from them. Chester woke up the next day and continued his adventures. He left the Hogwarts letter and instead asked Hermoine to teach him how to read ancient texts. It was complicated but in ten days Chester had a mediocre understanding of the language and could read some texts. The reason he rejected Hogwarts is that it''s simply a lot more convenient to be a cat. Sure he could learn some basic magic but in Harry Potter magic seems to be taught when you need it most and when it fits your situation. For example, Harry got taught the patronus when he needed a patronus which was only taught at higher levels meaning that Chester would need to wait for ages to even learn anything powerful. Another reason is that now he had a basic understanding of ancient texts he could try to read the books in that cave from before. Maybe its magic is even more advanced then Hogwarts and if he were to study that he would become a way more formidable wizard then Hogwarts could ever teach him. Finally, it was time to go back to Hogwarts. Christmas day had passed and Chester and Hermoine were excited to go back to Hogwarts. Once again Hermoine put Chester in a cage and put him in the car. They drove fast and made it to the train at the right time. Hermoine took Chester and into a carriage where they were taken around back to Hogwarts. At Hogwarts snow was still lying around however it wasn''t fresh as the snow clouds had temporarily left. Hermoine brought Chester back to her room and unpacked. Hermoine gave Chester some cupcakes which would be bad for a normal cat but not for Chester. After they settled in Chester walked around and found his cave again and entered. It had a homely feel even though he had never been there before. Chester walked around and entered the library before picking out a book and looking at it. Chester could now roughly read it. The spells inside the book were highly complex wandless magic. It took absorbing the energy from the world rather than yourself to activate it. After you focus the energy you were supposed to do what Chester did before and use your body as a wand to cast the spell. Once the natural energy meets nature again it will form into a magic circle. It seems like this was Rahdui magic however who knows if they are the only ones. For all Chester knew there could be thousands of them cities spread across the world all using the same magic. Seeing this caused Chester to really question the limits of magic, was there a limit? or did it grow stronger depending on how it was used? Is there a perfect way to use magic? All these questions hung over Chester as he wondered if he would ever know the answers or even live long enough to see such strength. First Chester wanted to try the magic. The first part surprisingly was the hardest. Once the magic was absorbed it would naturally form into a circle then amplify magic but the first and second steps were the ''artificial'' stages of the casting. Chester managed to do it however he absorbed too much so the circle collapsed and didn''t fuse with nature. The next time he used too little. It seemed that this magic was dependent on the level of control the user had over magic. If Chester had perfect control he would have the right amount of energy he could absorb meaning that he would be able to cast the circle. Chester thought of it as trying to thread a needle. If the thread is too much then it won''t fit and if it''s too thin then it would just snap. If the thread was the right size and went through a magic circle would form. Magic seemed powerful but gentle at the same time. Chester had tried for hours and started at absorbing too little and made it bigger by tiny amounts each time. Finally, he had activated it. It was a tiny circle with the length and width (needle sideways) of a threading needle. Chester saw that it was starting to get dark through the canopy of trees and so he decided to leave for tonight. He walked home and hopped into bed before curling up and going to sleep. Hermoine later pulled him towards her because she was cold but Chester didn''t mind much. 31 Scale Today Chester was going to kill a dragon, Yeah. Now it would be laughable if Chester could actually kill a dragon however this was his one chance to do it. In a few days, Norbert(A baby dragon Hagrid hatched) would be sent off to Ron Weasley''s brothers who looked after dragons. Funnily enough, dragons are ranked XXXXX which should be able to rank him up and make him stronger and who knows what card he could get from it. Currently, Chester wanted some defensive skills and although dragons had a strong offense they also had a strong defense which allowed them to have large sieges of towns. In the past, a single mature dragon could destroy a whole city which was equal to a nuclear weapon. Because of their defense, they could attack for prolonged times and then retreat without getting too hurt. Luckily Norbert was only a hatchling with a poisonous bite as shown when he bit Ron and sent him to the medical ward.Dragons had many traits and it was unknown which one he would get. Night soon came and Chester squeezed his way out of Hermoine''s grip. Chester walked towards the roof of the tower in Hogwarts and hid in the shadows. As it got darker a sleigh like object led by winged horses flew in and landed on top of the roof. "Hey, Charlie when does your brother get here?" "Soon," said a ginger-haired adult who looked like an older version of Ron Weasley. A blurred figure came up the stairs before revealing himself as Ron and Harry. They passed on the egg to Charlie''s friends and left. Charlie put the dragon in a box and prepared to take off. Chester snuck up to the crate and took the baby dragon out before running away. Chester took the dragon before taking it to the forbidden forest. Chester looked at the dragon before looking away and slashing its throat. Chester felt guilty about it but he knew that it was a fair sacrifice for the sake of his power. The dragon transformed into a white light and then into a card. Dragon Scales (Common) x5 defense The card was simple but powerful. With this, he could even defend against a bullet and had a magical resistance meaning that low-level student magic wouldn''t even have the smallest effect on Chester. Chester activated it. Slowly his fur turned into black scales making him look like he was wearing scaled shape armor. It didn''t look ugly and wired but Chester looked more like a guardian fully equipped with a layer of armor rather than a reptile. Chester had now also ranked up meaning that his skills were a lot higher and more powerful than before. Chester was currently rank three so what he needed to rank up next was completely unknown. Now it was beginning to get close to the end of the first book question had a question. Could Voldemort even get the stone if Harry didn''t interfere? Dumbledore said that only those who are looking for the stone but didn''t want to use it could find it so according to that could Voldemort even get the stone that would resurrect him? Or is that whole story and buildup all just to find out that it would have been fine if Harry didn''t interfere. Chester thought that it wouldn''t really matter because in the last test where he had to pick the non-poisonous potion Harry would probably scrape by with plot armor and main character luck. I''m sure that the world wouldn''t allow Harry Potter to die to a trail of logic. By separating Hermoine from the Golden Trio Chester had messed up the story plot more then he had anticipated and unless they became friends again god knows what would happen. Although Chester wasn''t god so he decided to see what would happen instead of clicking the plot back together. Chester made a small grave for the dragon that had prematurely died and went back to Hogwarts then fell asleep on top of Hermoine. 32 New Novel @@ So as I said before I made a new novel that I think is alright although that means that it is probably bad. Sorry if you thought that this was a chapter but I thought that maybe some of you would be interested in it. https://www.webnovel.com/book/12772507106219305/The-Colony The synopsis is not that good but don''t let it deter you. I hope to see you next chapter :)@@ 33 Happy Birthday Me It''s my birthday today so there will be no chapters. However, in exchange, I will re-edit and improve some of my past chapters. Check out my new novel.https://www.webnovel.com/book/12772507106219305/The-Colony I hope to see you next chapter :) (Did I post yesterday? I can''t remember) 34 Deer Chester Chester woke up and could feel the power flowing through him. His eyes glowed brighter then a star and if somebody were to look at Chester they could feel that it wasn''t just any cat but rather a beast, a beast that could tear them apart in a split second before they even knew what happened. His claws were as sharp as a sword and his ears twitched at every sound that passed him. His teeth would put a vampire''s to shame and his fur would be coveted by any poacher in the world. Chester straightened his legs and jumped off the bed before walking outside of Hogwarts. He entered the Forbidden Forest and walked towards his cave. As he walked around no beast dared to disturb him as they felt his oppressing aura. For normal beasts just his glare alone was enough to scare them into submission and servitude however Chester wasn''t looking for servants so luckily they were never enslaved. Few creatures in the Forbidden Forest could challenge Chester and escape with their lives. He managed to find his cave again and entered the aged structure. Now, Chester had wondered about this structure for a while and there was one place that he hadn''t explored yet, The Arena. Chester had tried to avoid thinking about it but with his rank up he decided to try it out. Chester entered the door and everything went black. Two spotlights like lights appeared. One shone on Chester and another shined on a creature. It was a deer. Chester looked at the deer and it charged. With a single swipe of his claws, the deer was cut in two and fell on the floor. Suddenly two more lights lit up and two more deer appeared. Chester killed them easily but this time four appeared, then 8, 16, 32, 64 and soon enough Chester was fighting with 128 deer. He couldn''t even stay on the ground because so many deer was there so he had to fly instead. His strategy was simple, swoop down and take a hit before flying back up. As the deer''s numbers reached 100 they all began to run into each other causing a small blast and creating a bigger deer. Soon they had all formed into one gigantic beast. The deer was bigger than a building and looked as menacing as a dragon. Chester looked up at the beast and his eyes illuminated red. Soon scales began to form on him which made him look like a black knight. His claws glowed red and antlers sprouted on his head. Chester was pulled towards the beast and he hit it. The deer was pushed backward and with the spare force, Chester cut the deer. A small wound appeared on the deer and it kicked Chester. His armor took most of the damage and only caused a scratch. Chester scratched and scratched and in an hour the deer was covered in scratches, blood dripped down its body however they want that deep and merely flesh wounds. Chester was in the same condition, he was bleeding a bit but nothing too serious. Chester knew that the only way to win was to focus on the most exposed areas. He grew horns and charged at the deer. He headed towards the deer''s head and used scratch on its eyes. The deer''s eyes were split in two and it cried in agony. The deer was blinded and Chester started digging through its eyes. With a quick scratch the deer''s brain was cut and it fell onto the floor. The deer turned into a white light and it turned into a charge card. Chester just remembered now that all of the deer before had just disappeared and hadn''t turned into a white light so it seemed like they were an illusion? So this was a reward? Chester thought that maybe whoever made this thought that the card was some sort of godly treasure. Light suddenly appeared and Chester found himself back in the middle of the cave. Another door appeared and Chester went inside it. The room was some sort of practice room and there were targets everywhere.
