《Dual Cultivation Sect》 1 Meeting The Older Man Trying to make a name for himself by hunting for treasures, this sixteen year old cultivator found himself battling against a horde of beasts in front of a mysterious door. These beasts, though weaker individually, together completely outmatched this young cultivator. This cultivator needed to go through that mysterious door in order to return back to his clan with treasures! Fighting his way forward, he was able to slowly knock the horde of beasts back. Feeling exhausted and powerless, this cultivator unleashed his most powerful technique. Pushing all of the beasts surrounding him back, the cultivator was finally able to reach the door. Walking through this mysterious door, the young cultivator felt a sharp pain running down his body as he passed out. Finally waking up, this cultivator found himself laying within a small barrier, which prevented him from escaping! "Finally awake little one? What is your name?" an older man approached the small barrier with a grin on his face. Wearing an eyepatch and covered in dark aura, this older man looked extremely sinister. "My name is Feng Wei and I come from a very powerful clan! If you dare lay a finger on me, my clan will send its elders to destroy you!" bluffing, Feng tried to seem in a better situation than he was actually in. Feng came from the Wei clan which was extremely small and posed no threat to any other clan on the planet! "Oh? Well, you are the first cultivator to make it here within the past ten thousand years." the older man replied. "I actually have a favor to ask you, and do not worry, I will be very generous with your reward!" "So you do not want to kill me?" Feng replied while losing his composure hearing about a generous reward from this older man. "Kill you? You are my best way from escaping this place! Now let me explain my current predicament. The older man was an ancient cultivator who once reigned supreme across the universe. After falling into a trap in order to rescue his dao companion, he was trapped here and could only escape with the help of another cultivator. "As for your reward, I will give you the cultivation method which allowed me to hold the entire universe within my hands, plus, I will even become your teacher. What do you say?" smiling in a sinister way, the older man''s dark aura became much darker. "I will agree, but how is someone as weak as I am going to help an all powerful monarch like yourself, escape?" Feng asked curious but now completely roped in. "Simple, I will give you a crystal with my soul within. Using this crystal, you will be able to not only escape with your life, but I will be able to eventually be revived entirely within a new host." the older man laughing pulled out a crystal and shoved it within the small barrier. "Why is this crystal shaped like a cucumber?" Feng asked the older man. "All you need to do, is stick it up in an area which is very accessible. Oh, and you will need to speak the chant in order to remove that barrier you are currently in, so your mouth is not an option." the older man said while laughing uncontrollably. 2 Learning The Dual Cultivation Method "Wow you actually stuck it up there? All you needed to do was put it in your pocket!" laughing uncontrollably, the older man''s spirit was now within the crystal. "Take the crystal out already! I want to see where we are headed!" "Play a trick like that again on me you old pervert and I will make sure to hide this crystal in a place where no one would ever find it!" Feng shouted as he pulled the crystal from out behind him. "I thought I was already in such a place. Silly me, younger people these days are getting so much more experimental." trying to hold in his laughter, the old man continued laughing uncontrollably. "Cough, cough! Anyways Feng, now that we are out of that dungeon, it is time for me to start training you in this new cultivation method. It would be safer for me to explain now, than back at your supreme clan where experts lay in hiding." "Now as you now know, this method is called the "Dual Cultivation" method. You will of course need to hunt down at least a single female so that you could start training, but this method allows both you and the chosen female to cultivate much faster than others. So you better choose the right one!" snickering from seeing Feng blushing, the old man was enjoying this reaction! "Will this really make me one of the most powerful cultivators in the universe?" Feng after several minutes of remaining silent finally asked the old man. "Yes, however, what I lacked was an army. I relied solely on my own power to wander throughout the universe. I want you to learn from my mistakes and eventually build up a sect. Only with a powerful sect behind you, will you forever be free and protected!" the old man told Feng with a serious tone. "Now, that being said, you need to take some of these treasures I gave to you and sell them in a place where your clan is not. On this path, you must not cultivate with those of your family, otherwise the heavens will reject you. Now hurry and find your first companion using those treasures to sell for some wealth! 3 Poor Woman Spotted! Making his way over to a different nearby city, Feng was told by the older man that he should target a struggling female for his first companion. This way, he would begin building his sect with an individual who would be endlessly grateful towards him. Though, Feng felt extremely weird using his newly acquired wealth to convince a struggling female to join him in a method that required two cultivators to dual cultivate together as a single unit, he understood this older man''s point. If it was leaked too soon that Feng was building up a sect using such a evil cultivation method, he wouldn''t be able to accomplish his goals. Finally making his way towards the city, Feng halted his movements. Down below, he saw a mortal woman by a river fishing. This woman seemed as if she hadn''t eaten for at least two days, and the clothing she was wearing was what poor females would wear. "Oh! Good eyes my boy, now hurry on and introduce yourself before you lose such a wonderful opportunity!" the older man''s spirit told Feng. This spirit wanted nothing more for Feng, than to accomplish his goals, because that would allow him to resurrect himself into a new body! "Hmph, you mention that I should hurry towards her, but, I haven''t sold those items yet. Do you really think that I could convince some random person like that with no actual money in my hands yet? Feng asked the older man. "Even a mortal could see the rarity within the items I gave to you in order to sell. Now, all you need to do since you would already give her a great impression with your current cultivation, is to follow exactly what I tell you to say to her. A mortal woman wouldn''t be the best fit for you right now, but, if you can successfully woo her with the promise of immortality, it would truly be a win for us!" Pondering over this for a moment, Feng decided to listen to this older man''s words. As a cultivator who''s name once shook the entire universe, Feng decided it would be unwise not to listen to such a man. "Hello there!" smiling the best he could, Feng flew down a few yards away from the mortal woman. The older man told him to be extremely polite and caring towards this mortal. If he just did this while pitching the immortality pitch to her, Feng would be able to win her over very quickly! 4 New Companion "Oh! Are you one of those cultivators? I apologize if I am taking up too much space here. I will take my leave." the woman said to Feng before she started to pack up her belongings. On this planet, cultivators were of a higher class than regular humans. That being said, just from being a cultivator, regardless of level achieved, Feng completely outclassed her when it came to society''s hierarchy. "Oh my sweet little angel, I was actually hoping that I could speak to you about something which is very urgent!" Feng replied to this woman as he slowly started to move closer to her. "You see, it just so happens that I was given a mission by my master to find a student for myself. The mission is to help train a mortal student on the path to immortality." Feng told this woman while trying to look like a heroic figure. "Really? What does this have to do with me?" the woman confused asked Feng. However, from hearing what Feng had said so far, this woman felt that she could benefit from helping him. "Actually, growing up as a mortal, I too was born in a very poor family within a city far away from here. I wanted to possibly take you on as my first student because I feel that we would connect on a deeper level from both of our beginnings being so similar." Feng finally next to the woman said to her. Feng then started to rub the woman''s shoulders lightly as he continued explaining. "You see, I just so happen to cultivate a method that requires both a male and female to cultivate together in order to become stronger. I''ve made it up to this point so far alone, but, without a special someone who I could always have by my side, I will never truly reach the potential I have as a cultivator." Feng told this woman. "What is your name?" "M-M-My name...?" taken back by what Feng had told her, this woman could barely talk straight. This was her chance to walk the path of immortality and she couldn''t let this chance slip away. "My name... is... Violet." Violet told Feng. "So tell me Violet, what do you say about being my special companion?" Feng asked Violet while hugging her close to his chest. "I-I..." blushing now uncontrollably, Violet finally agreed to follow alongside Feng on the road of cultivation. "That''s my boy!" the older man''s spirit yelled out to Feng as Feng and Violet remained in each other''s arms until nightfall. 5 Cultivation Begins Carrying Violet in his arms, Feng flew towards the city so that they could find a nice room. Now that Feng had found a cultivating partner, it was time to get themselves settled in a temporary place. Exchanging only one of his treasures, that the old man had given to him, Feng was able to gain quite a bit of fortune. With this much money, Feng was able to rent out a room in a very expensive hotel. Using his "recommendation", the old man told Feng that he needed to choose the honeymoon suite. Nervously sitting on the big bed, Violet''s face was blushing as she was waiting for Feng to finish washing up in his bath. When they were heading towards this city, Feng told Violet that tonight, they would become more intimate with each other. Violet did not know what to think from this, and so she was hiding under the covers while blushing uncontrollably. "Violet? Where did you go?" Feng walking back into the room, he did not notice that Violet was hiding under the covers and so he did not bother covering himself up in a towel. "I-" before she could finish her sentence, Violet popped her head from inside the covers and she saw Feng standing there towards her direction without a towel. "Oh, sorry about that Violet!" casually, Feng started walking towards the bed. "Actually, this concerns our path of cultivation which we will be pursuing together as one." "W-W-What do you mean?" Violet losing her means to even speak a full sentence asked while covering her eyes as she became redder than an apple. "This cultivation method, is a dual cultivation method. This means, that we need to be as close to each other as possible, otherwise, the heavens will not bless us with strength." Feng smiling towards Violet slowly pulled away the covers. "Now, are you ready to begin? Or should I find another female cultivator who would be more willing?" Feng slowly put his hand underneath Violet''s chin while slowly lifting her head until their gazes met. "O-O-Of course. I-I-I am willing." now with determination in her eyes, Violet made her choice. "Very good, now that we are both ready, it is time for us to finally begin. I will not initially receive as much of a power up in my cultivation since you are currently a mortal. However, as your cultivation improves, mine will in turn continue increasing over time as well. So let''s work diligently, otherwise, I would feel really bad." Feng sighed as he started to give Violet clear instructions. 6 Becoming One "The process of executing this cultivation method is very simple. Come Violet and join me." Feng laying down on the bed called Violet over. "O-O-Okay!" Violet laid next to Feng with her face blushing. She was not sure what to expect, but, she knew that by following Feng''s instructions, she would step into the path towards immortality. Such a chance could not be wasted! Putting his arms around her waist and bringing her close to his chest, Feng held Violet while chanting something. Violet confused, started to think about what Feng was chanting until to her shock, her body started to fill with power! Violet threw her arms around Feng''s neck while putting her face on his shoulders. Sweating from receiving untapped power from the heavens, Violet couldn''t help but let out a soft moan. She then slowly started to repeat the chant that Feng was saying. "Uh. Um. Ugh. Hm." every few seconds, Violet would let out soft cries. As a mortal receiving a blessing from heaven, it was harder for her to grasp what was happening as her body started to strengthen. This went on all night until the morning sun came up. Feng had fallen asleep due to exhaustion while Violet on the other hand stood up out of bed and went to take a shower. As Violet went into the bathroom, she saw a small rock on the ground, which was left by a previous guest. "Oh, let me put this somewhere so no one trips and falls." picking up this small rock, it crumbled in Violet''s hand like it was a ball of mud. With shock on her face, Violet did not understand what was happening and screamed! "You haven''t learned how to control your new power. You need to sit down and concentrate and feel the level of strength you now have. Only then, can you control it properly." Feng waking up from Violet''s scream told her and he got out of the bed. "Right now according to my estimations, you have already reached the first level of the Elementary stage of body refinement and ki refinement. You can already outmatch any mere mortal with your current strength. It usually takes someone pursuing the path of cultivation at least three months of training to reach your level. Due to the sudden jump from a mortal to your current level in just a single night, you need to work hard to consolidate your strength." Hearing Feng''s explanation, Violet had suddenly realized what Feng had truly said. In a single night, Violet surpassed the average cultivator who would take at least three months! This shocked her, but then she started to sit down and consolidate her cultivation using Feng''s instructions. "Hahaha! At this pace, that little woman will reach your current level within the next six months!" the older man told Feng after Violet started. "Six months? That means that in six months, I should also have a big leap in my cultivation as well." Feng thought to himself before resting. He knew that once Violet was well rested, they would need to repeat this process for a long period of time. Only then, could they start to build up Feng''s future sect! 7 Another Woman? After two weeks had passed, Violet''s cultivation finally reached the fifth stage of the Elementary rank. in both ki refinement and body refinement. Due to this shocking speed, Violet needed to do some tempering, so Feng decided to give her a small handful of technique scrolls and accompanied her outside of the city to a more remote area. "Violet, your cultivation may have grown extremely quickly, but you lack techniques to use so you are as good as a practice dummy to those even below your level. Take this month to learn how to properly use these basic techniques I gave you." Feng told Violet will a content look in his eyes. "While you are training, I will be going into the city. Since you have grown to this extent so quickly, it is safe to say that it is time to find another companion for ourselves. As I have mentioned to you, the main goal is to build up a sect of our own. To do that, we need more cultivators!" Violet looking deep into Feng''s eyes, felt a sense of abandonment. She did not want Feng to disregard her since with his wealth, Feng could easily find another stronger woman than her within the city to join them. Walking up to Feng before he took his leave, Violet kissed him both deeply and passionately. "Just remember, that I was your first." Violet told Feng as he finally left her to train. "Hohoho my boy! This Violet girl seems upset that you are already pushing her to the side in order to find another companion. This will make her grow that much faster in her cultivation and skills!" the older man told Feng as they approached the city. "Do not be stupid, Violet is and always will be the first. I spent quite a bit of time already with her and she should have nothing to worry about. If she does however, that will only benefit my goals in the end." Feng shot the older man an evil gaze. Unsure how to respond to Feng''s evil gaze, the older man just smirked before returning into the crystal. "What a little brat, I chose very well it seems." he thought. Making his way towards the red light district of the city, Feng couldn''t help but notice that there were several small scale slave auctions that were happening soon that day. He decided that it would be easier to find multiple women this way for himself so he signed up for one of the auctions. When purchasing a slave, the slave would have a blood oath contract with the owner. In many cases, these contracts would allow the owner to do whatever they wished with the slave. The slave would be able to commit suicide at any point, but, they would never be able to harm their owner. In Feng''s situation, building a small army in this way, would be more than pleasing. Having his own personal army of those who were unable to revolt against him or do any harm towards him, these was the best option when it came to his safety in the future! One hour before the auction began, Feng made his way into the auction house to check out the booklet available to everyone involved in the auction. The majority of the slaves were female, and they all had all walked the path of immortality. The rest were stronger male cultivators who would be purchased to protect the slave owners as their own personal body guards. 8 Plans Changed? Walking into the auction house and finally being seated on the VIP floor, Feng was looking forward to this auction. If all went well, he could actually buy a number of slaves. If he was able to do this, he could actually build himself a small squad of cultivators. In the world of cultivation, if you had enough cultivators join you in a squad, you could start taking on small missions from a guild, or even start adventuring for treasures. This is how every major power in this world started their rise to fame and fortune! Though Feng was on the VIP floor, he was not on the highest floor for this auction. It is said, that all of the top families and schools within the city were the only ones able to situate themselves on the floor. This did not necessarily mean that Feng was in a disadvantage during the auction, just that due to being an outsider, he was not given such treatment. This did not bother Feng in the slightest since today''s auction had plenty of slaves being sold and many of the schools would not steep low enough to attend and very few big families would attend. Therefore, as long as a representative did not want every single slave in this auction, Feng knew he would get at least one. "Boy, remember, you have enough funds right now from selling all of those treasures to compete for at least a single slave. But, if you aim low and even just try to get a small handful of slaves only at the Elementary level, you could accomplish what you came here for." the older man whispered to Feng while remaining in the crystal. Part of the dual cultivation method, was that there was a technique where the owner of the method, could transfer over a lower tier method using small pieces from the original. This meant that in the worst case scenario, Feng could even choose to purchase a male and female slave and have them dual cultivate together. After pondering over the different choices he had to move forward in this auction, Feng looked over next to him. Smiling with a sinister gaze, was a middle aged man with a top hat and a cane. "So boy, if you are a VIP, why don''t you follow me to my shop? I am sure I could give you a great deal if you are looking to buy quite a few slaves." the middle aged man patted Feng on the shoulders while releasing a devilish aura. "Are you a slave trader?" Feng whispered to the middle aged man. "Me? It depends on how deep your pockets are little one!" "If you can guarantee me bulk slaves, I have plenty of funds to pay for them. I might even offer you a proposal." Feng shot this middle aged man a sharp look, trying to read his reaction. "Then follow me to my underground spot." standing up, the middle aged man started to walk out of the auction house. After pondering for several seconds, Feng decided to follow this middle aged man out and to his place. If this man was lying, it would only push Feng''s schedule back a single afternoon which was worth the risk. The middle aged man led Feng outside of the city into a small fortress. After passing the guards, the middle aged man entered the fortress with Feng. Feng was not worried in the slightest because he had a much higher cultivation than the guards and using his divine senses, he could not locate anyone stronger. 9 Building An Army Once they entered into the small fortress, Feng could not believe his eyes. In front of him were hundreds of slaves! "So my boy, tell me what exactly you are looking for, and if your pockets are deep enough, we can do business!" the slave trader said while letting out a loud evil laugh. These slaves seemed like they had been tortured for weeks, almost as if the slave trader wanted them to lose all hope in living. This was a common technique used by those in the slave trading business. By making their slaves lose all hope, once sold to an owner, if the owner was evil, the slaves wouldn''t feel as bad. However, if the owner was nice, the slaves would serve them forever! Though, using a technique like this made it harder for slave traders to accumulate a large inventory, it allowed the slave traders to guarantee their quality. "These slaves look like they have been malnourished and beaten for weeks. How can you expect me to purchase them at a high price?" Feng annoyed by this scene asked the slave trader. Feng felt that maybe this was a complete waste of his time after all. "Oh little one, we have done this so that we could make sure that once sold to a customer as yourself, these slaves would not commit suicide." the slave trader responded with an evil gaze. "So tell me little one, are we going to be doing business with each other? If not, I need to escort you out so I have enough time today to find a different customer." "Hmph! In that case, how much would it cost for all of the slaves here in this fortress?" Feng tried to use this slave trader''s negotiation tactics against him. "Oh? We have over five hundred slaves right now. It would take at least one million gold coins for me to consider this!" laughing uncontrollably, the slave trader started to not take Feng as a serious customer any longer. "One million gold coins? That is actually not a bad price at all. Can you have another five hundred ready for me in one month?" Feng casually took out a universal bank card with one million gold coins on it. Within this universe, all of the different worlds came together to give out gold as a currency. This allowed banks to flourish during this time by allowing cultivators to simply exchange their gold for cards. The cultivators would have different cards depending on how much gold they had within their accounts. As far as Feng was concerned, the treasures he sold at the city''s treasure auction exceeded over ten million gold coins. So he asked for several cards with one million gold coins on them while he left seven million in his bank account. Shocked by seeing such wealth, the slave trader started to order all of his workers in the fortress to start preparing all of the slaves for this new customer of his. One million gold coins in this world was quite a large sum of money and with this single transaction, this slave trader could expand his business and possibly out purchase his competitors with ease. "Little one, as long as you ask, you shall receive! You are now the only VIP customer we will have from this point forward and hope that you could continue blessing us with your business!" the middle aged man crying tears of joy kowtowed to Feng. 10 Deal Finalized "Thank you for your generosity. However, there is another deal I would like to make with you if that is fine?" Feng being caught off guard told the slave trader as he got back on his feet. "Of course! Please speak little one." eager to hear more about how Feng wanted to continue making even more deals, the slave trader was shaking uncontrollably. "It seems that you are lacking strong guards. How about we partner up? I can supply you very strong guards so you do not have to waste too much money approaching sects and schools with offers. In exchange, you will keep my business indefinitely?" "That seems a little excessive. It depends on what your goals are and how much you actually have. If you can agree to a buyout, I would be more than happy to join you as a partner and work for you for the rest of my life!" the slave trader replied loudly. "I will not only buy you out, I will also give you a way to walk the path of immortality. This way, you can continue working as my partner for as long as you live. Though, I can give you a top notch training method, how long you train for would be determined by you and only you alone." "Follow me then, let us go into my office to negotiate these terms. If this seems right, we will absolutely join together." said the slave trader as he led Feng towards the back of the fortress into his office. It was now dark outside and both Feng and the slave trader finally finished their arrangements. Feng would create his sect and allow this slave trader to be one of his elders. In exchange, Feng would use a portion of the slaves, and "gift" them to the slave trader once those slaves became fairly strong. Feng explained how he wanted to build a strong sect and that to do so, having large amounts of slaves would be ideal. The slave trader agreed and they signed the contract. Feng would give this slave trader an elder position, supply his business with strong cultivators, and would give him five million gold coins so that the slave trader could own the whole industry within this city and eventually expand. In exchange, the slave trader would constantly supply Feng with more and more slaves which in turn would grow the strength of the sect extremely quickly. It seemed that if Feng and his newest partner worked diligently, they could possibly compete with the top sects and schools within this city. Though, the minimum requirement for their sect to do this, was that Feng needed to become much stronger. With the plans now set in motion, Feng made his way to pick up Violet at the hotel and finished withdrawing all of the funds and even changed his account into an actual sect account instead of a personal one. By doing this, though very small and weak, Feng was officially able to publicly announce the finding of his new sect. However, he would not compete for any sect rankings within the city until he could produce his first wave of cultivators. 11 Training Begins Within this universe, sects would be able to compete with each other when it came to both individual and overall strength. They would do this by testing out the cultivation of each member within a sect. There were the universe rankings where sects would be ranked overall based on their overall strength as a sect as well as the strongest individual member''s strength. However, each world used this ranking system to rank the sects located within their world. Though, this also allowed each city in each world to rank the sects located within them, unless your sect was in the top ten within a city, your universe rank would be pitifully low or even non existent. Feng currently had no interest in his sect''s actual ranking because he was still fairly young and could only be considered as strong as an elite disciple in a fairly strong sect. Even if he was able to train all of the slaves he just acquired to his current cultivation level, his sect would still be destroyed if an elder of a top ten sect within the city, was angry with them. Still, Feng was not bothered in the slightest, because due to city guards and small guilds, he could use the funds he had currently accumulated to bring in several strong experts to protect them from such a scenario. Also, he could even bribe some elders who are in schools within the city to join his sect. This was all part of his overall plan to take full control of this city. But, Feng understood that he needed to take one step at a time. Taking full control over this city would only be the beginning of his journey! Finally back at the small fortress, the slave trader anxiously greeted Feng as he led him into his office to explain some updates he had for him. "So tell me Elder Wang, you seem like you have some good news for me." Feng sitting down in Wang''s old seat said as he passed over five million gold coins to him. "Sect Master, I was able to finalize two deals with our competition. Not only was I able to completely buy them out, they even had several strong cultivators they had bought out over the course of their business." "Not only did this cost me less than half of what you just gave me, I also got word from a guild representative that they would directly merge with us as well for a fairly low price! It seems by the end of this week, we will have a very strong force if I continue arranging deals like this." with a sinister laugh, Wang couldn''t hold in his excitement any longer. "I see, this is very good. I will allow you to take charge using the rest of those funds and tomorrow I will go and sell even more treasures so that we can continue building off this momentum. Before I let you leave for the city to set our sect''s foundation up, I need you to tell your men to distribute these scrolls to every slave." Feng said as he took out one hundred identical scrolls from his storage ring. "Also, tell all of the slaves, that they will be treated extremely fairly from this point forward. They will all have to train in this cultivation method so that their strength could grow and so that they could walk the path of immortality. Welcome them with open arms into the sect and make sure that they are willing to die for the sect!" Feng gave his first order as a Sect Master to Wang. "Understood milord!" after kowtowing in respect, Wang finished Feng''s order and headed out to the city immediately. "Oh my, you sure found yourself in a great situation!" coming out of the crystal, the older man started to laugh in excitement from what he had just witnessed. "With that man as a sect elder and having that lower tier dual cultivation method being given to slaves who could never betray you, it is only a matter of time before you take over this world! I am proud with the actions you have taken up until now. You should take some time for yourself and enjoy this time." the older man went back into the crystal after praising Feng. 12 Top 25? After just a single week, the sect had grown a proper foundation. Using the remainder of the treasures Feng had at his disposal to sell, he was able to gather many strong experts from schools within the city and able to even take in some subsidiaries in neighboring townships. Along with Wang, just the slaves that were counted within the sect reached an astonishing two thousand five hundred. What was even more surprising, is that all of them during this week would take at least the first step into the path towards immortality. Coupled with several small families in neighboring townships and two strong guilds who were stationed within the city, Feng''s Dual Cultivation Sect had over five thousand cultivators. This type of growth within just a week actually frightened quite a few other sects who were not very strong within the city but who established themselves several centuries prior. After taking one week to himself to just relax and watch the progress of his sect building organically, Feng finally decided to make a move personally. He had sent many scouts to the smaller sects within the city with invites to a banquet his sect would be throwing. With the help of some of the stronger cultivators who were in the city''s schools, Feng did not have to worry about the location to hold the banquet because many of the top restaurants wanted to earn his business. One month later, Feng''s banquet would happen at the biggest restaurant within the city and the restaurant actually let Feng hold it there for free. This made some of those sects in the top ten of the city mad that they were not invited, but they couldn''t do much to the Dual Cultivation Sect. If all of the biggest sects within the city chose to wipe Feng''s sect out, they would have to give up far too much. This was because, they would be making enemies of all the top schools within the city and would even make enemies of the influential underground market that Wang now fully controlled within the city. This meant that as long as Feng did not openly oppose those sects, the Dual Cultivation Sect would continue to flourish. However, little did those sects understand, if this banquet started, they would never have a chance to destroy Feng''s sect and would quickly lose control of the whole city! Feng had only a single objective for this banquet. His goal was to make deals with as many smaller sects as he could in order to have them all join his in one fell swoop! A day before the banquet officially began, Feng ordered every member within his sect to register themselves officially as part of the sect. Each of them would go through cultivation measurements by pouring all of their strength into a large crystal. This particular crystal was used throughout the universe as a way to grasp each cultivation level of cultivators. This did not mean that their overall potential would be shown, such as techniques and weapons. However, it would give a statement for their ranks. To Feng''s surprise, the next morning, he received an update that told him that currently just with strength alone, his Dual Cultivation Sect was ranked number twenty two within the whole city. He thought that his sect would be ranked much lower since Wang told him that the two guilds would not officially join them yet. "Hohohohoho! I am sure if you strong arm enough of those smaller sects now tonight, that you will be able to soak them all up. By then, this city will be as good as yours!" flying out of the crystal, the older man couldn''t stop praising Feng. "If I am able to officially take over this city, I can dictate what goes on in the townships around this area. This would also mean that I could make myself a holder of a throne. If this were to happen, I could immediately start competing with weaker cities and slowly start my conquest." Feng replied as he started to take out some scrolls. "But before that, I need to finalize my research on all of these smaller sects. If I can pinpoint some of their more vital weaknesses, soaking them up will be much easier." "That''s my boy!" nodding with approval, the older man flew back into the crystal. "Soon enough, I will be able to take revenge on those old fools!" the older man thought to himself as he continued laughing in a crazed manner. 13 The Real Plan Knock knock! "Come in." Feng looking over his shoulders, saw Violet walk in with a small stack of scrolls. "As you have requested Patriarch." handing the scrolls over to Feng, Violet kowtowed to him before walking towards the door to leave. "Violet, how is your mission coming along?" Feng asked Violet before she could open the door. "It is going extremely well. Due to you promising to release so many slaves from their contracts and offering them a true position within your sect, I have recruited over fifty genuine cultivators." "However, since you have not permitted me to teach them the Dual Cultivation method, they have decided to move themselves to the outskirts into a different territory entirely to await your word."Violet reported. "Very good Violet, as it stands right now, I will reward you for completing your secret mission." Feng stood up and walked over to Violet. Grabbing her by the waist and pulling her in for a close and passionate kiss, Feng continued to explain to Violet her reward. "Violet, I will be leaving the city for a time and I want you to take charge of the politics when it comes to the growth of our sect. Once I finalize these documents, I will hand them over to you to view as well." "Part of this new mission is to not allow anyone to realize that I will be leaving for a period of time. The other part of this mission is that you will be our sect''s representative when it comes to this banquet. Do you understand?" Feng asked Violet after explaining everything calmly. "Y-Y-Yes milord!" stepping away from Feng, Violet kowtowed as she blushed from the earlier kiss. Violet feeling embarrassed, left the room to make her arrangements for the banquet that night. "Why have you decided to do this?" the older man decided to appear before Feng from the crystal. He knew that Feng was trying to build his sect quickly while choosing to personally crop ideal disciples out of the batches that would be appearing. But, Feng did not tell him about publicly placing Violet in charge of sect affairs so randomly. "Oh, well as you know, I already knew a little bit of the sects and schools within this city. What you did not know, is that the top three sects, are closely affiliated with major powers. According to my estimations, due to our sect''s sudden growth, those sects will be possibly making a move against us at the banquet." "With this in mind, if they do not, it will be fine since Violet will be capable enough with all of the recruits we have gotten so swiftly surrounding her. However, if they do, unfortunately, Violet is a better sacrifice than myself." "In the meantime, I will be making my way over to those cultivators and we will truly begin building our sect properly. If all is done correctly, in about five years, we can dominate several small townships then make our way into another city more discreetly." Feng explained as he started to gather his things into his storage ring. Earlier that week, Feng received quite a few gifts from other powers within the city as well as several townships and their town leaders. It could be said that Feng invested close to seven million gold coins thus far, but had gained over ten million gold coins in gifts! 14 Heading Ou After reading the contents within all of the scrolls, Feng ordered a body guard to deliver them to Violet. Feng decided to head out right away in case there was a spy nearby that he couldn''t sense with his current cultivation. He wanted to at least stay one step ahead of his potential enemies. Like this, Feng hid himself in a small squad of low ranking cultivators and exited the city. Once the squad was finally in a secluded area, Feng quickly killed and disposed of their bodies within his storage ring. Feng only used those cultivators to properly sneak out of the city and he did not trust them to continue escorting him. Now with those escorts dead, Feng started to move into the new area outside of the reach of those within the city. In this particular world, a city would be surrounded by at least twenty smaller townships. Once the city established enough powers within or named a noble duke, the area would then be considered a small kingdom. Once a small kingdom was formed, it could declare war against another small kingdom. Once three cities and sixty townships were controlled by a single duke, the kingdom would be considered to be a dynasty. This world was very massive and held over thirteen dynasties! This may be considered average compared to other worlds in the universe, but, this world also did not have a single emperor. Usually, a world would have a single emperor who would reign supreme. This may not have been good for Feng''s world, but, it was good for Feng. This meant that there would be plenty of experts in which Feng would have to compete with in order to completely control this world. However, this also meant, that Feng would not need to face a supreme existence in order to do this. Those cultivators who Violet sent out, were located in a small township within a barbaric land. Though they kept a low profile, they were unable to cultivate in peace. Barbaric lands were everywhere throughout this world. The name simply implied that there was no city within a space where there were enough towns to create a small kingdom if a power established themselves. Though, many of the powers of this world wanted to expand their reach and control, it was very hard to send enough cultivators out to do this. The current big powers, were constantly competing with one another. Which meant, that they were unable to leave themselves too open to be crushed! To Feng, this was the perfect scenario because there were several barbaric lands within this western side of the world. If he was able to, he could eventually slowly overtake the whole western side of the world and establish his own dynasty. However, without enough cultivators, this was simply a dream. "One day, I will take over these lands and then who will I have to fear in this world?" Feng thought to himself as he finally arrived in the small township where his future disciples were located. 15 Advancement? Upon arriving into the small township, Feng saw just how desolate this area was. Though it looked like this township held roughly ten thousand individuals, they all seemed malnourished and filled with fear. In these types of areas, every township would be threatened to be attacked at any moment by bandits, dark guilds, among other powers who would lay hidden. With that being said, a township such as this one wouldn''t have many cultivators, but would fight for their freedom. This was because if they had lost a battle, the enemy''s leader would become a tyrant and their lives would not be worth living! Being recognized by a cultivator who was sent over by Violet, the cultivator led Feng into the township''s small barracks. Since all of the cultivators that Violet sent were at least of the second cultivation rank, this allowed them to be officially welcomed as the township''s guards. It could be said that if they wanted to, even just ten of them would be able to overtake this township. So upon arriving and en massing over one hundred of them, the township was eager to earn their favor. "You must be Patriarch Feng? If there is anything you need from us, please let me know." one of the town''s elders told Feng upon his arrival. "That will not be necessary. We will protect this township with all of our strength, but if there is no trouble, please do not disturb us." Feng replied. Due to his tone, all of the town''s elders who were present quickly left the building and started to tell their body guards to spread Feng''s command. It could be said that due to having so many town guards, that Feng''s relationship with the town was a working type relationship. As long as Feng wasn''t a merciless tyrant, the citizens would not cause any trouble for him or his men. After calling all one hundred cultivators from around the town, Feng finally filled them all in. After performing a small ritual to welcome their new master, Feng started to distribute some simple technique scrolls as well as scrolls that gave a more proper Dual Cultivation method. From this point forward, Feng''s only goal was to make these disciples of his strong enough so that they could assist him in his main objective, to take over this world! After one week, Feng decided that it would be time to pick several female disciples to cultivate with. Though, every single female disciple volunteered, Feng only chose five. The reason was because, there was an optional technique within the Dual Cultivation method which could allow Feng to train at a slower pace, but, it would allow him to train with up to five females at once. What was fairly weird, was that Feng chose these five females not because of their current levels, but because of their different hair colors. Though, this made some of his other disciples frown, those disciples could only pick from the remainder of those who were left. Out of the one hundred cultivators who were now Feng''s disciples, sixty were male while forty were female. And since Feng took five females for himself. that meant that twenty five of the male disciples needed to find suitable female cultivators from the town. Like this, one month had passed and Feng was finally able to break through to the fourth cultivation rank referred to as the "Golden Hall" rank. This meant two things, first, that Feng was now able to live up to one thousand years if he chose to stop training. Second, that Feng was now capable of reviving his body as long as a single drop of blood remained. With his new advancement, Feng was completely able to lead his disciples to build a small kingdom. However, just a single expert reaching the Golden Hall rank, was just the minimum requirement within these lands. In a more organized city, one must be at least of the sixth cultivation rank to become a true ruler. With this on his mind, Feng decided to continue training until he reached the fifth rank. Otherwise, Feng felt that it would be too early to start his conquest. 16 News Has Arrived Now with his plans back in motion, Feng decided to place himself in closed door cultivation with his new partners. Feng continued training until he reached a bottleneck within his cultivation one year later. His partners also reached bottlenecks at the third rank of cultivation. Feng was only one level away from breaking into the fifth rank while his partners were one level away from breaking into the fourth rank! Coming out of his room with his cultivation partners surrounding him closely, Feng met with his senior disciple Mao. Mao was at the fourth cultivation rank and Feng told his disciples that those who reached the fourth cultivation rank would be considered their seniors. Many changes had occurred within these three months where Feng was in closed door training. Mao updated him on all of these changes. To start, Mao explained to his master that due to the circumstances surrounding the fact that a township nearby was being threatened by bandits, they decided to ask their township for protection. This meant that half of Feng''s disciples chose to move to that township to take it over, while the rest remained here to await further orders. This was acceptable to Feng, because it meant that no bloodshed needed to happen for them to take control of another township. This also meant that no one would feel threatened, since they only controlled two struggling townships. The other piece of news was that the banquet led by Violet back in the city was successful, but not many sects caved to her invitation to join the Dual Cultivation Sect. This was pleasant news to hear from Feng, even though, the event could have been more successful with himself present. Currently, the Dual Cultivation Sect was now ranked number eighteen within the city, but its growth seemed very stagnant at this point in time. The top three sects within the city did not give any room for Feng''s sect to grow, but did not actively push them down. To Feng, stagnant was better than annihilation, but, he still wanted the best case scenario to happen. However, Feng was still pleased with Violet''s negotiation skills. Recalling all of his disciples back to their headquarters within the township, Feng took a head count and was extremely pleased with what he saw. Out of the one hundred disciples, all of them were now at least of the third cultivation rank while twelve were of the fourth rank. What also surprised Feng, was that the twelve cultivators who were of the fourth rank, decided to each take six disciples of their own within both cities. Though, there were not many cultivators to choose from for those disciples to take some of their own, they were still able to have all of their disciples to cultivate to the second cultivation rank. This was impressive because Feng now had seventy two cultivators of the second rank, eighty three cultivators of the third rank, and twelve cultivators of the fourth rank all under his control! Due to his bottleneck, Feng decided to start strategically setting up small squads to send out on missions. With five squads finally made, Feng gave out a simple order. Due to so many small bandit camps scattered, he wanted to absorb them into his sect one by one to improve their overall strength. Like this, Feng would finally take the first step towards taking over these lands! 17 Importing Talents? Like this, another year had passed quickly. Feng did not receive any big updates from his sect stationed in the city, but he currently made quite a few leaps in these lands. Within this single year, Feng''s disciples were able to take out over fifty bandit camps around the area. Due to them doing this with brute force, the bandits in those camps all surrendered and chose to join Feng''s sect. Now with the population of ex bandits now officially accepted into his sect, the Dual Cultivation Sect now numbered over four hundred members. This was partially due to the fact that some of the bandits were of the fourth cultivation rank which allowed them to take up to ten personal disciples from within the townships. Also, due to the bandit camps publicly surrendering to Feng''s sect, two nearby townships who did not have any cultivators over the third cultivation rank protecting them, successfully surrendered to Feng and his sect. Like this, several townships started to ally themselves with one another to protect themselves from Feng deciding to take them over with brute force. Now surrounding the townships under Feng''s control were now two alliances which were formed. These alliances both consisted of three townships, but at least ten bandit camps joined each township as well. This made it so that both the townships and the bandits could work together to subdue Feng and his townships. However, what these newly formed alliances did not know, was that within this year, Feng sparred with several of the bandits and was able to break into the fifth cultivation rank. As it currently stood, Feng was able to crush an army of level three cultivators all by himself using an earth ranked sword which was sent to him by Violet from the city. Due to controlling the underground market of a city and all of its townships in another area, this allowed the Dual Cultivation Sect to afford purchasing these highly desired weapons for themselves at auctions. One month had gone by and Feng decided to finally make a move to build his first city. He sent three disciples back to the city to ask the two independent guilds to relocate themselves to his location. The two guilds who were publicly "independent" made a deal with Feng long ago. In order to continue growing themselves, they would not openly join the Dual Cultivation Sect. This was so that both guilds could continue building their foundations using income earned from sects and schools not affiliated with Feng''s sect. Two months later, Feng finally had enough cultivators in order to finally build himself his first city. Both guilds, officially relocated to Feng''s new headquarters and both had over six hundred cultivators; including four other fifth ranked cultivators. Now eager to finally begin his conquest, Feng gave the order and both guilds accompanied by his personal small army, had made their move against both alliances at the same time. The battles were won rather quickly, and many of their enemies surrendered almost immediately. The strongest cultivators within these alliances were only of the fourth cultivation rank, and seeing so many stronger enemies rushing them, made them unable to resist. Not just that, but how could a small group of fourth ranked cultivators hope to defeat a fifth ranked cultivator without exhausting themselves and using forbidden techniques? After two weeks of battles, Feng was finally able to unite this area into his own and publicly established his first city. For a random cultivator to establish a city within these lands was not very news worthy and did not raise any eyebrows. However, with a whole city now under their control, this allowed the Dual Cultivation Sect to boost their rank within the world and in turn grew to the ninth ranked sect within their city! This however, was extremely short lived. Now with their power at a threatening level for the top ten sects within the city, those sects all allied themselves together and drove out Feng''s sect from their city. Being driven out, Feng''s sect lost all of their "hired" elders and many of their top cultivators. It could be said that their combat strength as a sect dropped by over sixty percent in one fell swoop! This was all part of Feng''s plan though. This allowed him to finally take in everyone from that city and in a sense, import everyone into his newly established city. Like this, Feng would not feel threatened by a city so far away, and at the same time, it allowed him to consolidate appropriately. Currently, Feng''s main goal was taking over these lands for himself. The only way that Feng could accomplish these goals, was to eventually move everyone to his location and to slowly take over more land. After spending over six months distributing many techniques, setting up battalions, and placing several generals in charge of his new forces, it was time for Feng to begin his conquest against a nearby city. 18 Accepting Guests? "Violet, are preparations ready for my throne?" Feng asked Violet in a military hall right outside of the small palace which was near completion. "Yes, milord! Because of your public oath to distribute techniques to every citizen within these walls, many even from other cities have hurried over." replied Violet with eagerness in her voice. "Very good, with so many potential future cultivators moving themselves over to our city, we will be able to pick out the strongest ones and give them more advanced techniques." Feng replied openly while nodding towards a general. "Milord, patrols are set and so are the armies. With your public acknowledgement that military strength is your goal for the future of your city and that you would help our soldiers with their cultivation, we have had many new recruits and our overall strength has risen drastically." the general updated Feng. "Very good, soon we will start skirmishes with nearby townships that are not under our control. Mao, any further news on any surrenders?" Feng turned towards his student. "Master, several townships agreed to join us. However, we would need to take over other townships first to directly take over their area without being split from them." kowtowing, Mao told Feng about these developments. "Feng, just to remind you, there are quite a few guests waiting for you to meet with them. They actually represent some minor powers within established cities. How would you like us to deal with them?" asked Violet after their meeting came to a close. "Oh? We will of course accept them with open arms. Please set up a small banquet tonight, and we shall treat these individuals as guests. Those who come in friendship, will receive such back. However, if they come with ill intentions, they will understand why it would be unwise." replied Feng as a noble aura shot out from his eyes. "Understood." bowing towards Feng, Violet, now that they were out of the hall, started to quickly making arrangements. Making sure that the night would go very smoothly, Violet personally went to each of the representatives rooms to update them. After updating the very last representative, Violet started to make all of the arrangements in which she needed. She ordered several of her assistants to move out with different missions. The first two assistants would find the best cook within the city as well as the best designer. The other assistants would be in charge of finding the entertainment, and some of the more influential families within the city to invite them to this banquet as well. Feng was the type of negotiator and host that wanted to allow his guests to mingle with some local influential families. This way, it allowed Feng to privately conduct his business, while still allowing his guests to all enjoy their stay. As far as politics were concerned, the host would always need to show their guests the utmost respect. However, there were times where a host could place themselves in better positions to negotiate with their guests, since it was their home turf. Finally finishing all of the arrangements, it was now two hours before the banquet would begin. Violet updating Feng and some of the representatives of local influential families who had arrived, finally sat down within her room. "I hope that nothing goes wrong tonight." Violet thought to herself, as she fell asleep. 19 First Round Of Negotiations That night, Feng finally made his way into an office of sorts next to the dining hall. He wanted to greet these guests separately, so that he held an advantage. Feng felt that, if he was threatened by a representative, and made a bad decision, that all of his guests might team up and put him in an even worse position. So, by meeting with them one after the other and directing them after away from the dining hall, it would allow him to hold an advantage. In these representative''s eyes, Feng was the local tyrant in this area. Therefore, they would treat him with respect, but might try to put his back against the wall during a dialogue exchange. This was the world of politics, and any advantage one could have, should be utilized! "Mao, tell Violet to start sending these representative in one by one. By the way, how many have shown themselves?" Feng asked Mao who stood right next to him, acting as his personal guard. "Master, fifteen representatives have come. They all seem to come from very minor sects within some nearby established cities. However, there is a representative who came from a top five family in a city. Shall I tell Violet to send him in first?" Mao asked. "No, I want Violet to send in the order of the lowest ranked sects first. If I demonstrate to these representatives that even the most minor of sects deserve my time and will not be counted out, I can win them over easier." Feng said as his eyes glowed. To Feng, if he was able to, he would rather try and even absorb all fourteen of the more minor sects, instead of working tirelessly to try to possibly win over a higher ranked sect. The reason was simple, if Feng had enough cultivators, he could build bigger and stronger armies very quickly. To him, one hundred level one ranked cultivators were better to have than a single level two ranked cultivator who needed to be won over. Feng could distribute his Dual Cultivation Method and advanced techniques to all of the soldiers within his army. With this set up, he could make any normal human into a higher ranked cultivator in a very short period of time. "Understood." without any hesitation, Mao opened the door and ordered several guards to update Violet and to act as personal escorts for the first representative. "Ah, you must be Patriarch Feng?" several minutes later a short and balding man walked through the doors. "My name is Boro and I am here on behalf of my sect called D. Smiths Sect. We are a sect that specializes in smithing weapons and armor. We are a sect that consists of only our dwarf clansman." As he introduced himself, Feng gestured for him to have a seat and respectably poured him a glass of wine. "I have come here because some stronger sects within the city our sect resides in, are trying to take advantage of our sect. The highest ranked cultivator in our ranks is only at the fifth rank. We were only able to establish ourselves in the city, due to selling so many weapons and armor and not due to our cultivation ranks." Boro continued. "Although it is risky, our sect has sent many representatives such as myself out into the world to try to find a new home. I understand that these lands are filled with an endless amount of danger, but after researching more on your sect, it seems that you were driven out of your own city. Maybe Patriarch Feng feels similar for your sect as we do ours?" Boro asked as he respectfully took the glass of wine from Feng. "Yes, we had spent a large amount of funds to hire strong experts, but that turned out to not be very wise. However, now we have our own city built! The heavens always show a path of redemption, wouldn''t you agree Boro?" Feng asked with a noble aura. "Patriarch Feng is very wise indeed." Boro nodded in approval as he sipped his wine. "So, you have come to me with good intentions, and so, I would like to repay your kindness. How can I do this Boro?" Feng asked as he took a sip of his wine. "This may be a lot to ask, but, I can convince my sect to move to your city and help support its growth. Given good conditions of course." Boro said while smiling eagerly. To Boro, Feng seemed to understand his intentions before this conversation even began. It may be possible for his sect to dominate several townships of their own, but it would be much easier joining another sect who has already established a city. Since Feng was kind and was noble with his actions, Boro was convinced that he was not like other local tyrants. "If your sect is able to help supply our armies with better weapons and armors, we will not only accept you as allies who are also located within our city, but, we will also share many advanced techniques and cultivation methods. Your sect never needs to go into an offensive war, and you could grow yourselves with no worries." after pondering for a moment, Feng finally said his conditions. To Feng, he would rather have many allies who shared the same goals, instead of a large group of cultivators who only felt used and abused. Since Boro''s sect already felt this way in their area, the only way to absorb them, would be to treat them differently. "With such good conditions, I do not see why the sect elders would not agree. Thank you so much Patriarch Feng." overjoyed, Boro stood up and started to walk out with the guards as his escort. 20 Threatened? Surprising enough, the following seven representatives all had similar stories. Some had lost many elders during the battle over territory, some had been secretly attacked, and some were even being threatened of annihilation! Using this to his advantage, Feng successfully accepted all eight sects thus far as his allies and even took a short break to meet with them all together in the other room. Deciding that it would be wise to allow these representatives to bring the good news back to their sects as soon as possible, Feng gave these representatives several escorts and personally sent these individuals on their way. Finally making his way back into his office, Feng took a large gulp of his wine and ordered the guards to send the next representative in. "Finally! I have been waiting for quite a while now. I would have left if I was not called in any sooner!" shouted the next representative outside of the door. Feng instantly felt that something was a little off and made an angry face as he heard the representative argue with some of the guards outside. "Shall I intervene master?" Mao asked as he rolled up his sleeves. "No, just let me handle this one myself." taking another sip of wine, Feng felt that this next representative would give him a headache. "Oh so this little brat is Patriarch Feng? You do know the sect I represent, right? I wonder what your explanation would be having me wait all of this time?" with a drunken expression on his face, a tall and robust man strolled through the door as if he owned the place. "I did not realize that I needed to explain myself in my own territory. Can I offer you a glass of water to help sober up?" Feng gestured this man to sit down as a guard hurriedly started to pour a glass of water for this man. "I do not care what that woman outside said, being from the strongest sect, I bumped myself up the line. I am sure you would understand right little one? Or maybe you do not since you did not have me come in first." the representative said as he chose not to sit down. "And what sect are you from?" Feng asked with a calm expression on his face. "Damn brat! I come from the Sky Palace of course! Back in our city, we eat sects like yours for breakfast! You can call me Master Lo!" the man said as he took the bottle of wine off of Feng''s desk and gulped it all down. Keeping calm, Feng just studied this Lo who was in front of him. He needed to be respectful towards this guest, but, he was not going to allow him to talk down to him in his own territory. "And why have you come Mr. Lo?" Feng asked politely yet forcefully. "Mr. Lo? Little brat, I should kill you for not calling me Master!" slapping the table, this man was angry and drunk. It could be said, that if Feng would not make a bold move, he would lose face. Hearing the sound of the table breaking, the guards outside of the room started to rush in with their weapons drawn. Feng''s bodyguards also drew their weapons and awaited Feng''s orders. "I must apologize Mr. Lo, but I will need to ask you to allow my men to escort you out of my territory. It seems that you have overstayed your welcome." "Even without my weapons, I could still kill each and every one of your guards!" laughing Lo started to unleash his strength. This representative was surprisingly almost one step away from the fifth cultivation rank. "Hmph." like a blur, Feng stood behind Lo and with a single punch, drove his face crushed onto the floor. "Take this man back to his room with his escorts from his sect and get them the hell out of here." Feng ordered his guards as more started to rush in. 21 End Of The Nigh Feng felt that his actions were reasonable. Not only was this representative''s sect unable to send anyone strong enough to threaten him, but, it was almost as if this cultivator made this a habit. At first, Feng had felt a little worried, but understanding more of the cultivation rank of this representative, he felt that it would take too much effort for this man''s sect to send over anyone powerful. Only if his sect was willing to lose their foothold in their current city, would Feng feel threatened! As the guards escorted the fainted man out, Feng returned to his seat. Mao turned towards him and bowed respectfully. Mao now felt even more admiration towards his master. Not only did Feng deal with the situation perfectly, he did not show any form of weakness. "Mao, go and tell Violet that I will be making an appearance in the dining hall for the remainder of our guests. Since we were able to acquire so many sects for our city, I am already satisfied enough with tonight''s results." ordered Feng as he started to sip some water from the glass. "Yes master!" Mao replied before heading out. Once Feng felt a little better only a few minutes later, he chose to finally walk towards the dining hall. With so many guests gone, including one that was extremely hostile, Feng felt relieved. The rest of the night went very well, however, it turns out that the remaining representatives were not here to negotiate to join Feng''s city. All of the remaining sects only wanted to rub shoulders with Feng to see the type of leader he was. Due to Feng showing great hospitality towards these representatives, they all felt relieved and even invited Feng to their sects in the future. In this world, many powers wanted to ally themselves with those they had gotten along with. By doing so, if a disaster were to befall them, they could look for assistance in numerous areas! As it got later into the night, each representative chose one by one to head to their quarters. They would rest here in Feng''s city tonight and head out in the morning back to their sects. "So Feng, how do you feel about tonight?" Violet asked Feng as some servants were cleaning the hall. "Tonight went better than expected. Not only are we going to have eight more smaller sects in our city soon, but, the only hostile figure tonight came from a power who needs to think twice before making a move against us." replied Feng as he held Violet closely. "Master Feng, the girls and I are waiting for you so that we can start our next, cultivation session." said one of Feng''s disciples as she entered the room with the other four disciples behind her. With her face lightly blushing, Violet decided to stand up and walk towards her quarters. Feng wanted to stop her, but, he understood why Violet had done this and allowed her to leave. "I am a little tired tonight, but, I hope that all of you can do most of the... work." grabbing the two closest disciples by their waists, Feng accompanied these disciples back to his room until morning. 22 Schools Like this, three months had passed in a blink of an eye. Feng was not training too hard, rather, he was enjoying his current situation. Within these past three months, all eight of the sects who Feng had negotiated with finally finished moving into the city and even took over some of the smaller townships for Feng. Life for Feng was very peaceful now that so many leaders and elders were also in the city with him. Feng felt that each sect deserved to have a say within the city so he made a city council and implemented small roles for the council to take charge of. It was obvious that Feng was the almighty ruler of this city, but at the same time, Feng did not want to completely govern the city. Feng was the type that wanted to focus more on his cultivation, and as long as he had trustworthy individuals handling other areas, he was satisfied. Due to so many other sects finally living within the city and all contributing to the growth of the city, Feng decided to make a public announcement. Surprising enough, each new sect that moved into the city, also brought along small schools they were in charge of to bring in nearby talent to their sects. However, until now, Feng did not allow there to be any schools within the city. The reason for waiting, was that Feng wanted all of his new allies to become situated within the city before implementing cultivation schools for citizens of the townships under his city''s control. This was not just to keep things more organized, but Feng wanted to squeeze out every last soldier for his army that he could. "From this point forward, our city will allow cultivation schools. Every citizen who is not a soldier, will be able to get tested in order to join each school. If a citizen reaches the requirements needed, they can choose to join the school of their choosing." "Also, the top students of each school may enter a small city wide tournament every ten years. We will have the Young Dragon division for the youths, and the City Wide division for those over fifteen years of age to twenty five years of age!" "In addition, the top three performers of each tournament will have the opportunity to join the noble family''s ranks! By joining the noble family''s ranks, each individual will be gifted a noble title and cultivation resources." Feng announced to the citizens of the city. With so many new sects stationed within the city, this news had spread to surrounding cities. Like a wild fire, over the following six months, citizens of nearby cities who did not have a good standing, took their chances at trying to meet the requirements to join the cultivation schools of Feng''s city! Due to such big news spreading out to numerous cities, the cities who had local tyrants who only treated their soldiers well, started to migrate to Feng''s cities so that they could become citizens and have a genuine shot at walking the path of immortality. When it came to these lands, many cities did not have enough resources to implement cultivation schools. This was mainly due to the fact that majority of the time, each city would be owned by a single sect, rather than a collective of many sects. Having such favorable conditions for not just soldiers, but for every citizen, other townships immediately surrendered to Feng''s city which made it that much easier for his forces to take over nearby cities. It was now two years later and Feng was finally updated by his head general that the fourth city was now under their control. Though, growth like this was extraordinary, within these lands alone, existed over one thousand cities. However, right now with five cities under his control, Feng was now able to claim his current cities as a whole Duchy! Over one thousand cities and over fifty duchies in this land area existed, however, Feng''s new duchy would make it now fifty one. Feng was excited, except, he was unable to come up with a name for his newly established duchy. 23 Meeting With The Council "Milord, we have enough high leveled cultivators to start invading other cities at this point." said one of the council members. "We should try and pursue a more democratic route. I am sure nearby cities will surrender to our duchy if we give them favorable options." another council member shouted out. "No, we should first fix some of the smaller issues within our duchy so that we can move full speed ahead without ever looking back!" yelled another council member. Today, Feng decided to discuss expansion plans with the duchy''s council members. It could be said that his duchy has finally finalized their foundation, and was ready to begin expanding at any time. Right now, he was in the council''s hall and was listening to each of the council member''s thoughts and plans on how he should continue expanding the duchy. "We should send out some youths to conquer some of the nearby townships. We can conduct this as tests and offer small rewards to those who perform the best!" another council member cried out. "Hm?" Feng held up his hand to silence all of the other council members who were trying to speak over each other. "Taking over new territory by using a test as the excuse may be a good thing for tempering the younger generation." To Feng, he wanted to continue expanding his duchy as quickly as possible, so that he could make his way to battle the highest ranking sects within this world. However, he was still young and had plenty of years left to live. He would rather spend the next fifty years slowly expanding, if it meant that in return, the citizens who were under his control remained loyal. Not being in as much of a rush now, testing the youngest generation by allowing them to take over new territory seemed like an acceptable plan of action. "After this first tournament with the younger generation, the top ten winners, shall receive some small troops that they could lead to take over nearby townships in the name of our duchy." said Feng after pondering for a few moments. "We shall also give those youths who succeed in conquering those townships, the ability to be their governors. The duchy will be the rulers of the territory, but, we should reward those who succeed with limited resources." "If we do this, I am sure that with each new tournament, many powerful youths will emerge from our duchy! Until eventually, we can claim yet another duchy for ourselves just by following this route." explained Feng to the council. "Master Feng is very wise!" said one of the council members. Every member of the council started praising Feng''s ability to make good choices. Though, with brute force, this duchy could easily crush many cities around this area, they wanted to make sure that Feng was the one who called all of the shots. Who was Feng? He was the Patriarch of the strongest sect within the duchy as well as the strongest cultivator. With such a foundation, who would dare oppose him within this territory? "With this settled, I hope in the meantime, that the council could take care of the smaller matters to perfect our duchy''s foundation. We are nothing without the proper foundation!" Saying his goodbyes to the council, Feng chose to go into closed door cultivation. He now had over fifteen female disciples with high enough cultivation ranks and of peerless beauty to accompany him. 24 Spy "All of you please wait in my chambers, I wish to discuss something with Miss Nan here." Feng told all of his female disciples. "Yes, Master Feng!" kowtowing while blushing, all of the female disciples started to head towards Feng''s chambers to await their cultivation sessions. "Miss Nan, please follow me, I wish to speak to you privately." said Feng as he led Nan towards a hidden room. "I have raised you very well in my sect, isn''t that right?" Feng asked Nan as he paused his movements. "Yes, Master Feng has been very kind towards me and has helped open up my horizons to this world of cultivation." replied Nan. "It also seems that Miss Nan, has also been raised very well by the Ninth Heaven Sect." with his eyes glowing with rage, Feng slapped Nan extremely hard. The force of this slap sent Nan flying into the dark room, coughing blood and terrified. "M-Master... I-I-I" trying to stand up, Nan could feel herself struggling to even speak. "Silence!" Feng shouted as he used a basic fire technique to light up the torches in the room. Now with the room itself, lit up, Nan looked around and felt her soul tremble. Around her was a basement layout of sorts with many different items on a table. Behind her were soul suppressant shackles that torturers would use to suppress the strength of their victims. "Are you ready to experience what spies go through once caught within my sect?" Feng asked calmly as he awaited Nan''s answer. Seeing Nan unable to speak, gave Feng an unbelievable feeling coursing through his veins. "Such power, and such control. I wonder the type of fun I could begin having once I conquer this entire world?" thought Feng as he took a step towards Nan. Seeing his sudden movement towards her, Nan quickly stumbled backwards towards the wall behind her. Before Nan could even let out a simple cry, Feng dashed towards Nan at full speed and knocked her out. He used the shackles to told Nan slightly off the ground and started to scan the items on the table. After choosing which items he would use during this session, Feng began to meditate like a peaceful monk within this room. He wanted Nan to wake up and struggle like an ant going against a powerful lion. The thought of this, made Feng become hungry, not for food, rather, for this type of darkness. Feng was now a powerful Patriarch that was able to go up against his enemies with ease. Though, he wanted to use his high cultivation for the goodness of others, he longed for strength so that he can roam free within this universe and experience the different joys of life itself. 25 Torture "Mmm." slowly coming back from her slumber, Nan seemed to forget where she was and what was happening. "Good, you are awake." replied Feng as he released some of his powerful killing intent. Feng stared Nan down like a crow stalking its prey. To Feng, Nan was nothing but a small worm who was begging to be eaten by him. "Snap. Snap Snap." hearing the noise of the whip in Feng''s hands, Nan couldn''t help but look towards Feng at this moment. In but a single instant, Nan finally remembered where she was and what was happening. "Are you ready to begin?" asked Feng. Hearing Feng and his final decision to move forward, Nan couldn''t help but chuckle. This chuckle was nothing more than a whisper, but, it was the beginning of the end for Nan. "Something funny?" asked Feng as he used some force behind his swing, as the whip in his hands shot out and left a large indent onto the wall next to him. "Ha.. ha... ha..." Nan slowly left out a sinister laugh as if she was a bird locked in a small cage. "Hahahahaha!" at this moment, Nan started to laugh harder and harder until tears started to flow from her eyes. It could be said that Nan''s willingness to live was now taken away from her, and this crushed her soul apart, making her break down mentally. Several breaths of time went by before Feng started to chuckle to himself as well. He did not realize that Nan would break down so easily from just his small threats alone. However, after several seconds, Feng stopped laughing and struck Nan with the whip across her face. "You dare? You dare to laugh while you are caged in like a bird without its wings?" Whap! Whap! Whap! At this point of time, Nan was becoming swollen as she started to spit out blood coming from her intestines. However, she continued to laugh, though softer from her injuries, Nan would continue laughing. Splatter! Blood started to cover the whole room, however, Feng waited until Nan''s body refinement technique would help her recover again and again before he would continue. This lasted for several hours before Feng decided to put his whip back onto the table. Walking over to Nan''s position, Feng was disgusted that he took in such a weak disciple. "What are they planning?" Feng asked Nan as he lifted her head to look at him within his eyes. However, all Feng received as a response was Nan''s laughter from losing her sanity. At this moment, darkness started to fill Feng until even his outward appearance could be mistaken for a demon from the underworld. "You think that I will kill you and end this misery?" Feng asked Nan as he took several steps away from her with his back facing her. At this moment, Nan finally stopped her laughing while she listened. Feng, however, did not speak a single word for several minutes. "K-K-Kill me!" shouting in a crazed manner, Nan held nothing back and pleaded for Feng to finally end her life. "It must have been very lonely. To be a spy and unable to truly make friends around you. This was my mistake from when you were taken in as a disciple." replied Feng in a disappointing tone. "You think that death can be given that easily to a traitor?" asked Feng without turning around. "Y-Y-Y-" Nan couldn''t even speak while staring at this demon from one''s nightmare who stood back facing her from across the room. "I welcome you to experience pure darkness for a while." Feng said as he walked out of this room. "Milord, you called for us?" asked a small group of five poor men from a small village. They had no cultivation, but they had committed very heinous crimes. They were brought here from one of the jails by some of Feng''s assistants. "In that room, is a traitor of our kingdom. You can do whatever you wish from her until you all die of old age. However, she is not to be killed or released from her shackles." Feng told them before he started to walk towards his training area with all of his female disciples. 26 Making Love "Feng?" walking towards his position, Violet was excited to see him before he went into his closed door cultivation. "Hello Violet, is there something you needed before I went into my closed door cultivation period?" Feng asked while Violet started to blush. "Actually, can we go to my room to speak about this? It is a private matter." Violet told Feng as she gently started to pull on his arm to bring him closer to herself. "If it is a private matter, we should find somewhere to speak about it privately. Your room works well for this, since there are guards stationed there to begin with." replied Feng as he started to walk beside Violet towards her room on the other side of the small castle. After casually walking close together for several minutes, Feng and Violet finally made it to Violet''s room as she gestured for Feng to sit down on her bed. Following her lead, Feng started to lay down onto Violet''s bed. "I-I miss what we had." Violet''s face started to blush even harder now. She was blushing so much, that her face started to lightly sweat from the pressure of her embarrassment. "Is that so?" standing up off the bed, Feng decided to take Violet into his arms. Before she could withdraw her mind from its far places, his arms were around her, as sure and hard as when they first made love with one another. She felt again the rush of helplessness, the sinking yielding, the surging tide of warmth that left her limp. Her mind couldn''t help but to continue racing while trying to comprehend what was happening. He kissed her, softly at first, and then with a swift motion of intensity that made her cling to him harder, he continued to kiss her with his movements full of only passion. His intensity made her begin to feel her lips shaking, sending wild tremors along her nerves, evoking from her sensations she had never known she was capable of feeling. And before she could think of anything, she was kissing him back. "If you want me to stop, tell me now. " Feng whispered as he continued on. When she still said nothing, he brushed his lips against hers. Feng couldn''t help but feel some of the intensity as he felt his soul shake. But before Feng could become lost in the moment, Violet had reached up and pulled him down to her, and they continued on. He kissed her gently, carefully, but it wasn''t gentleness she wanted. After all this time, and she reached her hands into his shirt, pulling it off. He groaned softly as if he was struggling to breathe without stopping. His arms circled her, gathering her against him, and they rolled over on the bed, tangled together. Feng started to feel breathless in a new and exciting way. The space around both Feng and Violet had evaporated. For a weird moment, they paused their movements to admire each other''s bodies. This journey that they both began together on, had suddenly seemed worth the struggles that they not only faced up until now, but, what they were to face in the future. Violet''s chest started to meet Feng''s, while their hearts continued beating faster and faster. Feng then nudged his nose against hers, and their mouths fell together yet again. When Violet''s eyes closed once again, her eyelids stuck. She wanted to open them, but couldn''t find the focus to. No one had ever kissed Violet like this before, and she was filled with pure ecstasy. 27 I Love You Making a swift motion, Violet gently pushed Feng to the other side of the bed as she grabbed some lotion. She began to squeeze some of the lotion onto her fingers as she licked her lips, while Feng started to blush from excitement. Violet then started to rub the lotion onto her body in many different places. Watching Violet, Feng was almost unable to control himself. The lotion Violet was using, had a shining type attribute and made Violet appear as a goddess who had descended onto this planet. Violet, feeling naughty, decided to hand Feng the bottle and gestured him to use some of the lotion for himself as well. Without any hesitation, Feng followed Violet''s lead as they both continued rubbing this lotion on themselves. Feng''s legs started to become weaker and weaker as he watched on. About to speak, Violet gently put her pointer finger onto his lips. "No talking." Violet said as she began to take some lotion and started rubbing it all over Feng''s body. Unable to control himself any longer, Feng pounced onto Violet while pulling out the rope that held his pants up. Using the rope to his advantage, Feng began tying Violet down to the bed post with her whole body exposed. Violet was becoming very tired and sore, but could only allow Feng to continue doing what he wanted to her. She did not want it to stop, she wanted to feel the aches of her body. Feng allowed his body to meet Violet''s body closely as his sweat started to slowly drip onto Violet. "If you want me to stop, just say so." Feng whispered to Violet before continuing. Feng then slowly pulled Violet''s socks off her feet as he started to use the lotion to rub them gently. From the time of being a mere mortal, all the way until her current cultivation level, Violet has never allowed anyone to touch her like Feng was. Feng then started to kiss Violet''s legs as he continued rubbing her feet with vigorous strokes. The skin on Violet''s face and throat were hot as she watched Feng kiss and lick her all over her body. All of the sudden, Feng started to gently bite Violet. This aroused her, but also allowed her a sense of mortality again. She was untouchable within this territory, and had almost forgotten the meaning of someone else holding her life in their hands. Gradually, Violet started to relax. Her flesh shook and quivered under the emphatic skill of Feng''s skills. "You are so beautiful." Feng whispered as he felt Violet''s body slowly shake with pleasure from his actions. Feng then grabbed a small knife from his storage ring before throwing it with his clothes on the other side of the room. "Do you trust me?" Feng asked as his gaze met Violet''s eyes. "Yes." responded Violet. She was now incapable of fighting Feng back, completely vulnerable. Feng slowly moved the knife first on Violet''s shoulder and allowed a very small stream of her blood to roll down her body. In the next moment, Feng, from Violet''s stomach, started to lick the blood until he reached back up to her shoulder. Feng then began to make other small cuts on Violet''s body. These cuts were very minor, but allowed Violet''s blood to slowly cover her body. "Your tastes are unusual." Violet whispered as Feng finally made his move by roaring out like a fierce lion. Violet''s hair braid had finally fell onto the floor while her long hair became loose as her head started to hit the wall behind her repeatedly. After several minutes of enjoying each other in pure ecstasy, both Feng and Violet couldn''t help but moan as they finally just laid there next to each other, exhausted, but fulfilled. "I love you." with the remainder of his energy, Feng untied Violet and kissed her one final time, before they both dozed off in each other''s arms. 28 Heading Ou "Wow Feng, who would have thought that such a devilish technique, would actually work such wonders?" Violet told Feng as she got up from the bed. "It is thanks to those blacksmiths. On the way over, they ran into a devilish group of bandits and gifted me this technique." replied Feng as he finished making hand signs. Glub Glub Glub! The blood on the bed started to bubble up, until it started to form together into a blood diamond. "We shouldn''t make this technique public since blood diamonds are extremely beneficial to a cultivator''s cultivation and we can''t allow something so precious getting into outsiders hands." "Here Violet, pick out a human and gift this to them in exchange of becoming your assistant. It would be good for you to have someone who owes you so much by your side. If in the future, I need to leave your side, I want you to still be safe." said Feng as he gave the blood diamond over to Violet. "I understand your worries. Are you really going to leave soon on that journey? Right now you are the face of the whole sect and a local overlord of this whole area!" "With you not present, wouldn''t that make us vulnerable? Our foundation is finally situated, are we going to take such a risk so early on?" Violet asked as she started to put a new set of clothes on. "We both know that I could cultivate in peace for as long as I live, but only by experiencing true danger, would I be able to reach my potential." replied Feng as he kissed Violet on the forehead. "Besides, while I am away, the army will begin attacking other areas as well. Since I haven''t personally gone into battle for a while now, none of our enemies will realize that I am gone." "As long as I keep my identity hidden, I can explore new areas without anyone realizing who exactly I am. Plus, I will not be bringing along too many escorts since this is about personally experiencing danger and overcoming obstacles." putting a fresh set of clothes on himself, Feng started to walk out of the room. "Feng, if I do not see you before you leave, I just wanted to wish you luck." Violet said as she went into the shower so she could freshen up. Using a cloning technique, Feng broke off into his original body and a single clone. Sending the clone off to his quarters, his original body started to head towards the side of the castle. "Sir." kowtowing, two servants paid his respects towards Feng as he quickly equipped a mask to change his facial appearance. "Have you decided where we are heading out to milord?" asked one of the servants. This servant was very muscular and was dressed in very expensive looking battle armor. This servant was at the fifth level of cultivation and would be considered a local tyrant in a well established city in these parts. "I''ve heard that cultivators are starting to head towards he Ice Cavern about fifty kilometers to the south." the other servant mentioned. This servant had a mysterious aura to him and was wearing a pitch black cloak. This servant, was also at the fifth level of cultivation and was just as formidable as the other servant. "The Ice Cavern is far away enough from us to where no one should recognize my techniques or voice. I think that is a splendid idea!" Feng said in a praising manner. To Feng, he deeply cared about these two powerful servants. If he could praise them, they would serve him that much more if push came to shove! "Milord is very wise." feeling pleased with himself, Feng''s servant kowtowed once more before their three man squad headed out. According to the rumors, not many experts were heading towards the Ice Cavern due to the level of danger. However, those who did, were doing so for a secret treasure called the "Ice Serpent''s Poison". This poison was rumored to be able to kill an expert of the seventh cultivation level!
