《VAMPIRE FAMILIA》 Chapter 1: Elizabeth Bathory Tepes. The Maximum-Security Prison for Supernatural Entities(MSPSE) was a specially built containment facility meant for the imprisonment of dangerous and powerful supernatural beings. The facility was built secretly by an independent organisation called S.E.E., or Supernatural Entity Elimination This organisation¡¯s reach goes all over the world, and its goal is to secure and contain all the things that regular humans should not have the displeasure of seeing. The prison was built in the middle of the Pacific Ocean to ensure that no creature ever escapes and that no one ever knows of it. It was cloaked with various magic spells to hide it from satellites, and there were wards meant to discourage boats or submarines from getting close unless allowed. The prison had over 5 levels of containment, level 1 being the first level containing relatively mundane yet dangerous entities, the entities here were only dangerous to individuals or a single group of people but could do no more than street level damage. Level 2 was similar in the sense that it houses relatively mundane creatures and cursed objects. Level 3 is where the truly dangerous begin to be kept, vampires and werewolves are always placed here, as they have the potential to destroy buildings and cause harm to hundreds of people. level 4 and 5 are the most dangerous monsters are kept and have the tightest security. Creatures that are held here are capable of causing harm to millions and are danger to a city''s infrastructure and population. All monsters that can be placed within Level 4 or 5 are too dangerous to be placed anywhere else. Within the prison, one of the guards was having his retina scanned and going through various security checks before the big metal door at the end of the room could be opened. The man was white with orange hair and wore a modern combat suit that was enchanted with various spells for both defence, stealth, and attack. ¡°This is what your brain scan looks like.¡± A man wearing a similar uniform I handed him a black and white paper; it was an MRI image of his brain. The man had square-rimmed glasses, black hair, and a clear lack of sleep. ¡°Remember it and know it.¡± ¡°Yeah, I know.¡± The ginger-haired man answered nonchalantly, seemingly not caring. ¡°Do you? Because you seem very cosy with the prisoner.¡± ¡°Of course, I do, and wasn¡¯t the point of this to get cosy with her so she won¡¯t kill us all should she escape?¡± The man answered seriously: the individual being kept in one of the cells in level 5 was an especially dangerous supernatural entity, even among her kind, and she only got captured by pure luck. ¡°Yes, that¡¯s the point, but getting too comfortable is problematic; we can¡¯t have you fall for her charm, hence why we need to make sure your brain chemistry stays the same.¡± The man warned, looking the ginger-haired guard straight in the eyes. Their job was to keep dangerous supernaturals from escaping and harming the citizens of the world; as such, they couldn¡¯t afford to mess up. ¡°Alright, I got it. Just let me do my job.¡± After a few security checks to ensure that he wasn¡¯t an imposter, under mind control, or a clone, the doors opened, and he was allowed into the area. It was a wide area with various cells holding various horrifying and non-horrifying creatures; zombies and witches were a common sight, along with one Lochness monster, big foot, a sentient Pterodactyl and other criptids and monsters However, at the edge of the room was the cell that the guard was going toward. *Bam* A loud bang startled the guard, it came from one of the cells that were to his left, it was a woman that was bound by a white straight jacket with some runic writings on it, she couldn¡¯t use her hands and thus banged her head on the reinforced glass wall of course it wasn¡¯t at an attempt to break it but to get the guard¡¯s attention. ¡°Hey, come on, let me out, please!¡± She cried in a sultry and seductive tone, but the guard ignored her. ¡°Please!! I''ll give you anything. Come on!! man, I have a family! My son is only 6 years old, he''s waiting in the blistering cold, He needs me. I''ll make your wildest dreams come true and make you rich. I am a witch, I can do all those things, I''ll suck your dick better than your wife!!.¡± Find this and other great novels on the author''s preferred platform. Support original creators! She bargained, but the guard remained unconcerned and continued toward his destination, completely ignoring the witch that tried to manipulate him. ¡°You son of a bitch!!! I¡¯ll kill you!! Let me out of here!! I swear I''m going to turn you inside out and feed you to the pigs!! You limp dick swine!!¡± She cursed, switching her emotions in a heartbeat, but the guard didn¡¯t care. He simply walked towards his destination at the far end of the prison, a single cell that held a woman bound from corner to corner and her long silver hair flowing down, the guard arrived. Opening her eyes as she awoke from her slumber, her red eyes laid upon the sight of orange hair and white skin. It was a bit blurry, but that went away a second later, and she got a clear image of who it was¡ªthe human assigned to her as a sort of talking buddy. Apparently, they were worried about the mental well-being of their prisoners. ¡°Oh, hello, Connor.¡± With her eyes fully opened, she greeted the man. To her, he looked to have aged quite a bit in the past month. ¡°Hello, Miss Bathory, how was your sleep?¡± He asked politely and sat on the chair provided. Every month that he comes here, he is always blown away by how beautiful she is. She had long silver hair, pale skin, and blood-red eyes. Her face was young-looking with an innocence to it, making it feel like she¡¯s a child even though she is older than the oldest human in the world by three times over. Her body was covered in talismans that acted as charms to weaken her, and she was bound on all limbs, making her unable to move. The cell she was in was lit by a sunlight crystal, weakening her. ¡°It was fine; though I had a pleasant dream about my husband, it was back in the old days¡ªwell, old days for me, ancient days for you. Anyway, did your wife answer my question?¡± She asked casually without any hidden meanings behind her words and the guard responded in kind and answered her question. ¡°Oh right, she said, if you¡¯re cooking a meal for someone who hasn¡¯t been home for a while, make it so they remember why it is home. That¡¯s what she said, word for word.¡± ¡°Oh, I see. That¡¯s certainly interesting. Make it so he remembers why he loves you. Is that it?¡± She asked with a bit of disappointment, she was hoping for an answer that was more exciting than just cooking for him, although she supposed that it was a good answer from the standpoint of someone in a normal human relationship, the answer also had some merit too if she knew how to cook. ¡°I think that¡¯s the gist.¡± He confirmed and she hummed in thought, perhaps making him remember why he loved her was a good idea but instead of cooking that reminds him, it should be something they can both enjoy, and she knew exactly what that is. With a small smile on her face, she asked him a question. ¡°So, what was her question to me this time?¡± She asked nonchalantly; by the way they were talking, one could easily discern that they were on friendly terms. However, the guard was no fool; Bathory was a vampire, a blood-sucking monster that outclassed your average human in all aspects. No matter what his relationship with her was, he was to never let his guard down, lest he become her juice box. Unfortunately for him, he did let his guard down. ¡°She asked what it felt like to be a vampire.¡± He felt himself relaxed on the chair, oddly comfortable on it like he had sat on it for the first time after a long shift at work like he was suddenly back at home with his wife and was finally able to relax. ¡°Hm? Does she want to be a vampire?¡± ¡°¡No, ¡ I don¡¯t think so.¡± His answer was a bit delayed and there was a slight vacant look in his eyes, almost as if his mind wasn¡¯t there and he was thinking of something else. ¡°I see. By the way, what day and year is it?" She asked, completely ignoring the question she was supposed to answer, and her question was followed by an odd and distinct creak, like a support beam unable to carry the weight of the building. The guard should have noticed this; unfortunately, he was already under her command. ¡°¡. The... current year¡. is 2021, June 13th.¡± ¡°Thank you for that.¡± She said with a mesmerising smile on her face that would make men weak on the knees before the alarms started sounding and startling the man out of his stupor, Awakened from the control of the vampire he quickly stood up and looked around and saw that she was still in the cell, he then took out his weapon and pointed it at her. It was a gun, but not just an average gun; it was a specially made 9mm hand pistol with magic-infused and enchanted bullets specially made to harm creatures like vampires and all other supernatural entities. ¡°What are you doing? Stand down!¡± He shouted as panic began to settle in his heart, he was so getting neutralised, moments ago he was warned about being too casual with the prisoner, he had forgotten that while she was weakened, she wasn¡¯t completely powerless. He held his weapon straight toward her as beads of sweat began to trickle down his forehead. more creaking noises were heard, this time sounding louder. The steel wires that held her limbs bound were torn from the corners of her cell and crashed onto the floor along with her, their landing caused the ground to crack as if they were heavy as an anvil. ¡°Oh shit!!!¡± The guard exclaimed before turning his back and sprinting towards the exit, despite his causal relationship with her, Bathory was still a vampire, he had somehow forgotten that she¡¯s a monster and it is within his best interest to run away should she escape; he is only to engage in combat when all options are lost. ¡°Don¡¯t worry, I won¡¯t be killing you.¡± She said before lifting her hands up along with the heavy ropes and slamming them on the floor, causing more cracks and water to slowly spill in. ¡°So, we¡¯re underwater, huh? If it¡¯s ocean water, it should be a good defence against most supernatural entities, though not all supernatural beings are weak against salt.¡± She placed her hand on her chin, only to notice the talismans covering her body. The talisman were supposed to weaken her and make her susceptible to sunlight since she¡¯s immune to it, but it doesn¡¯t seem they helped much; she does feel weaker, but she can manage, it¡¯s unfortunate that they won¡¯t come off unless the user wills them to. ¡°No matter. Darling, you should be waking up soon; two hundred years is a long time; you have a lot to make up for.¡± She spoke with elation in her voice, so many things have changed in these two hundred years he¡¯s been gone and there so much he has missed and needs to be caught up but the only thing that mattered now was him making it up to her for sleeping for so long. An army of guards flooded the area, all equipped with specialised weapons meant to deal with supernaturals, specifically vampires. A man with bright blue eyes, dark grey hair, and a sword strapped to his waist led them; he wore a white button up shirt with black slacks and sneakers. He was tall, with broad shoulders, his figure was imposing. Having entered the area, the soldiers stood behind him as he walked straight up to her cell. Bathory raised a brow at him; his mouth was covered up by a talisman that had a microphone drawn on its front. ¡°We¡¯re under the Pacific Ocean right now; it¡¯s no use trying to escape; the waters are infested with various tamed sea monsters, and the moment you escape, you¡¯re their dinner.¡± The man spoke with a great level of confidence; despite his mouth being covered with a talisman and his mouth barely moving, his voice was loud and clear. This gave Bathory the hint that the man had a blessed contract. The cell she was in had been sealed tight the moment the alarms were triggered, so it shouldn¡¯t be a problem even if she breaks through the floor Only her cell will flood. ¡°Really? Thanks, by the way, your organisation was created 100 years ago, right?¡± She asked without expecting an answer. She then used the steel wires tied to her hands and slammed them on the ground, blowing a hole through the floor and causing her cell to be flooded with water. She sank down to the bottom like a block of stone would. ¡°What did she mean by that question?¡± The man asked rhetorically not expecting an answer before he took out a phone from his pocket; he was surprisingly calm considering a dangerous supernatural entity just escaped its imprisonment. He dialled a number and put the phone on his ear. It took a few minutes, but the call went through. ¨CHello, Sir Adam ¨C ¡°Emergency situation: Elizabeth Bathory Tepes has escaped.¡± ¡¡¡ A/N: Thoughts on this? Like it or don''t like it? This was actually Written a long time ago on my sister''s laptop, I found it when I was looking for my stuff I had left on there that I never moved to my own laptop. Also, I Know that Tepes is not a surname but a moniker but calling her Elizabeth Bathory Dracula didn''t roll off the tongue the way I wanted plus there¡¯s a reason Dracula isn''t technically a surname within the universe of this book. Chapter 2: Valerie Valentine Tepes While Elizabeth was making her escape in a different location, in the city of London, just closer to its outskirts. A small mansion was engulfed in flames, and a young lad with black hair narrowly escaped getting burned alive, but a few of his family members weren¡¯t so lucky. He was currently lying flat on his stomach as he ignored the pain of a burned leg and stared a few meters away from him, looking at a lone figure. His eyes were wide open in shock and disbelief. ¡°Aunty Val, what¡¯s the meaning of this?¡± He asked the woman, who had shoulder-length hair, pale skin, and eyes that were cold and icy and almost as if to reflect that coldness, her eyes were a deep, icy blue. She was a bit shorter than average, and she wore a black sleeveless dress and a biker jacket over it. The woman, Val, had a gasoline tank near her, and she held a match in her hand. This was his Aunty Val, his father¡¯s sister; she wasn¡¯t blood related to him or his family, but her friendship with his father went so deep that she was practically part of the family. As such, he referred to her as Aunty Val. He grew up around her and has spent time with her. This is the woman who helped him kill for the first time and taught him how to fight. She was the woman who told him ghost stories as a child, and he was fond of her. Why does it seem like she¡¯s the one that set one of the family mansions on fire and killed his father and uncles? ¡°I thought it was time I ended the charade.¡± She said it in a monotone voice. She observed the burning house with hardly any hint of emotion, many years she spent here playing with these humans and carefully waiting to end her facade of a friendship with its patriarch. This should have been her greatest moment, another ending to the head of the family that had slighted her all those centuries ago yet for some reason she derived no satisfaction from it, she hardly felt a thing, like crushing an ant with her boot, it was¡ disappointing. She hadn''t derived the same sort of catharsis she had when she end the life of the previous head, perhaps it was the method she used, it was too abrupt and rushed. Looking at the young man before her, she wondered if perhaps it would be beneficial to let him live. Perhaps she would get her satisfaction when she kills him in the future. She got close to him, and she squatted with her knees closer together so as not to flash the young man. A young 22-year-old has no business seeing the panties of a 200+ year-old woman. ¡°What do you mean? Is this about that deal we made with the triad? My Pops said you were livid about that, but¡¡± ¡°Oh, dear Aaron, this is not about that. If he wanted to give a quarter of his territory to the triad, that¡¯s not my problem; I was just playing my part as his ¡®friend.¡¯¡± She patted his head in a more mocking and condescending way than a way to comfort him, the urge to crush his skull right then and there crossed her mind but she withheld it, exercising a level of restraint expected of her as an ancient Vampire. ¡°Then what¡¯s this about? Why would you do something like this?¡± He asked in desperation, his heart clinging to the hope that his dear Aunt had a reason behind all this, sure his father was dead but surely, there was something that justified it all as reason that would absolve her of any blame. Unfortunately, she wasn¡¯t willing to share. Although her face showed nothing, the hatred was clear to see in her eyes, but Aaron was not capable of reading individuals just by looking at their eyes. If he was thinking properly, he would have thought it strange that there were no sirens sounds he could hear right about now, that the neighbours don¡¯t seem to care that there¡¯s a house on fire, or that the fire itself wasn¡¯t producing any smoke. ¡°Think of it as a generational grudge, something that extends for generations. It¡¯s nothing personal. Well, it is personal, but don¡¯t worry about it.¡± This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience. She said with dissatisfaction clear in her tone. She then snapped her fingers, and the fire went out immediately, revealing the charred remains of the house she held no feelings for. Aaron found himself in stock shock and confusion, unable to comprehend what she had just done. This rendered him mute for the moment. She then snapped her finger again, but this time, nothing happened, or at least that¡¯s what it looked like to the outsider but to those in the know they would have seen the translucent bubble surrounding the mansion, burst. ¡°If you want revenge, you¡¯re welcome to try, though I suggest you go through your family history before you even think of killing me.¡± She advised. It was a guaranteed certainty that the young man would indeed seek revenge for what she had done, so next time when they meet, he¡¯ll be far less likely to want to talk. He''ll be more powerful, something worth playing with and something worth her vengeance. Without warning or reason, her figure quickly disappeared, leaving the young James Aaron Theed in a state of confusion and surprise. His dad was burned alive along with his uncles, if it wasn¡¯t for the fact that this was the work of someone he trusted and loved as family he would have cared about the fact his uncles are dead as it meant he¡¯d be next in line to take over the family business. Unfortunately, he can¡¯t be happy about it, his dad was among those who died, and no matter how much he wanted, the seat of family head killing his own father for it never crossed his mind. Looking at the burnt house, he could only stare at it as the wind blew away any loose ashes. Aaron was, for the most part, confused, and he understood nothing. Despite her obvious confession, he still needed her to explain more, maybe he would understand if she had more time to explain. It was obvious that someone put her up to this. ¡.. ¡°Aunty Val¡± appeared once again but this time it was on top of the giant clock, Big Ben that was in London, she looked over the shining city lights, and hearing cars honking about an accident here or there, there was a sense of disappointment in her. ¡°I may have rushed it a bit there.¡± She sighed, looking over the London skyline. The bright city lights illuminated the sky and contrasted beautifully with the darkness of the night above. The sounds of cars honking, along with faint murmurs of the people below despite it being night, the city was alive, and the humans walked with barely any fear of anything aside from other criminal humans. She did not want Jason Eren Theed to die like that, she wanted to saviour his death watch him die like she watched his father die and the same way she watched his father''s father and all the others before them. ¡°I suppose Aaron will suffice.¡± She murmured to herself, deciding to not think about her disappointing day and move on to other matters. "Hmm." She hummed in silent thought. Since He''ll be waking up soon, she needs to prepare a bit before he does. Maybe the excitement of him finally waking up caused her to speed up her plan. She wanted more suffering from that family, but it was fine. With Aaron she¡¯ll have a toy to play with for a while. However, for the time being, she needed to look her best before meeting him ¡°His sense of fashion will be 200 years old, so what dress should I wear? Or should I stick with modern clothing? Hmm¡± He had begun his slumber right near the end of the industrial revolution as such his taste in clothes will most likely reflect that time, seeing something familiar would most likely be a welcome surprise for him however showing him something new and striking would serve to introduce him to this era¡¯s fashion styles. As she was contemplating her clothing deeply thinking of which style would capture and stun the eyes of her husband, her thoughts were interrupted by the suddenness of a telepathic message. ¡°Elizabeth?! What do you want?¡± She asked without a hint of surprise or worry, her face maintaining its stoic expression, it¡¯s been years since the two of them had spoken yet there was not a hint of emotion in her voice when she received the message, this was of course a given, as vampires who never aged time was completely irrelevant to them. There was also the fact that though they may be sister wives, they are not the best of friends. < Really? No, how are you, or how are you doing?¡¯ Eli asked in faux curiosity. This was simply a tactic of hers to begin the conversation and lead it towards the direction she wants. ¡°You¡¯re the one who contacted me, so you should be asking me those questions> She responded in a monotone, among the three of them, Elizabeth was always the more talkative. With Valerie being more comfortable in silence, she did not want to speak more than necessary. This was not because she was introverted, it was because she found that some people are not worth speaking to, Elizabeth was one of those people but unfortunately due to their relationship Valerie has been often forced to have to talk to her. Stepping off the giant clock, she then gently began to descend towards the ground, not caring about anyone who might see her or, rather, it was in hopes that someone might see her. Elizabeth asked. Of course, she was not interested in how Valerie was or how she had been. The monotone in which she delivered the question spoke volumes about her disinterest. ¡°no¡± She answered curtly, a rather cold response toward someone who is more than an acquaintance or perhaps it was because Elizabeth was more than an acquaintance to Valarie and because of this she was aware of her roundabout ways of asking for things. Chapter 3: Valerie Valetine Tepes 2 ¡°no¡± She answered curtly, a rather cold response toward someone who is more than an acquaintance or perhaps it was because Elizabeth was more than an acquaintance to Valarie and because of this she was aware of her roundabout ways of asking for things. ¡°You don¡¯t need to say anything, I am not doing you any favours¡±. Valerie responded clearly, although she may be reading too much into it, but she was certain Elizabeth may have been trying to keep her busy so that she¡¯ll be the first to see him when he wakes up and Valerie did not want that. ¡°No, it¡¯s been literally 10 years since you let yourself get captured by the S.E.E. What? Did you think they¡¯d lend you something to wear when you break out?¡± She asked rhetorically, according to Elizabeth, getting captured would help make the time pass better since she would not be able to see the light of day therefore making the wait much more bearable, it made perfect sense to Elizabeth, but Valerie figured she was trying to satisfy her imprisonment fetish, but it would get her off her hair, so she didn¡¯t stop her. She pleaded, this time, her voice was laced with childlike innocence, like how a child would beg for something to their mother, Valerie however ignored that and responded. ¡°that¡¯s exactly what I¡¯m doing, so do something else. Besides, ask Alcina I¡¯m sure she could help you¡±. She expressed with a bit of enmity in her voice, the three of them were all married to the same man, with Elizabeth being the third wife and Valerie Valentine being the second wife and Alcina the first, naturally Alcina seemed to laud that fact over them, and Elizabeth took issue with that more than anyone, she did not like to be thought of as inferior. ¡°Yeah, well too bad for you, bye¡± She abruptly spoke as she gently landed on the ground and proceeded to take a slow walk, as stated she did not care if anyone saw her after all that was the point of jumping down from a building, to be seen by someone. She was also certain that someone probably took a picture of her while she was standing on top of big Ben. Valerie took issue with the idea of all the supernatural entities having to hide. She found the idea of hiding from humans to be utterly ridiculous and nonsensical. It is the prey that hides from the predator. As she was walking, she suddenly felt a lot of eyes focused on her person. They were watchful and cautious eyes, ones that she was very familiar with, she let out a mirthful smile on her lips. Bathory¡¯s voice rung in her head, reminding her of the telepathic connection they have, of course Elizabeth purposefully waited a few seconds making her think the connection had ended before reminding her that telepathy was not a phone call, it was unfortunate for Valerie that she couldn¡¯t simply cut it off whenever she feels like it. ¡°Ugh! Then I¡¯ll just ignore you¡± She said as she sensed her observers closing in and getting closer to her. They seemed to be careful in their approach, which was a bit boring. None of them had the gall to attack so openly. She was no battle maniac, but a bit of excitement is important, and it helped keep the mind sharp and vigilant, too many vampires make the mistake of thinking they have nothing to fear until a human puts a wooden stake through their hearts. A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. Valy considered her options while also paying attention to the approaching observers; if she stayed within the public eye, they wouldn''t attack outwardly; the best they would attempt is a sneak attack. ¡°Fine, what do you want?¡± She yielded and asked her sister wife. She did not particularly like it, but having Elizabeth''s voice in her head when she did not want was a nightmare. She explained that the dress itself wasn¡¯t important as she had planned to have it torn apart by him the moment they met. What was important was her hair. She has been unable to care for it in ten years, so an especially skilled hairdresser would be helpful. ¡°You¡¯re demanding quite a lot but fine, I¡¯ll see you when I see you¡±. She said before rounding the corner and entering an alley, it didn¡¯t take long before a few men in combat suits wearing Kevlar vests and holding big guns walked behind her and closed her exit and others on the roofs watching her and ready to attack any second. A tall buff man walked forward stepping closer to her, he had pale silver eyes and cobalt blue hair, his stature was quite intimidating, standing close to 200 cm in height, a small woman like Valerie would be feeling quite threatened by now, she turned around to look at him. ¡°Valerie Valentine Tepes¡± He uttered, his voice deep and fitting for his stature, his pale eyes gazed at her, deeply paying attention to her form. ¡°Hello, how can I help you?¡± She asked with a bit of elation in her voice that was unnoticeable to anybody but herself, she placed one of her hands on her waist and then slanted her posture focusing her weight on her right leg which stood straight while the other was bent forward a bit, a relaxed posture that indicated she did not feel threatened. ¡®Good, she underestimates us.¡¯ He thought while taking a glance up above her. ¡°You can help by coming in quietly¡± The man stated, holding his gun up it was a shotgun, a weapon that guaranteed death when fired he aimed it at her head, a headshot was always a sure fire way of killing vampires. In most circumstances, the protocol was always shoot first and ask questions later, however the top brass of the S.E.E seems to want vampires like Valerie alive, for what reason he had no idea. ¡°Why? I am simply taking a stroll. What exactly did I do wrong?¡± ¡°Your mere existence as a vampire puts thousands at risk, so if you would come quietly, though I don¡¯t mind if you resist¡± The man said as he proceeded to signal his men to focus their weapons on her before lowering his own weapon and putting on black gloves that had a white cross on the back. He braced himself and put up his guard. He scrutinised her form, looking carefully for any discrepancies. The worst thing about vampires is their charm ability, which can do more than just make you their slave. It was like a way to make one hallucinate, so one must always be careful when dealing with one. ¡°You know that is a bit racist.¡± She exclaimed while shrugging her shoulders, the humans or rather the organisation S.E.E seemed to possess the view that only humans are allowed to live in this world and she found that notion to be amusing, it was a very human idea. ¡°That only applies if you were human, but you aren¡¯t.¡± He responded and once again held his weapon at her head, judging by the slow yet sudden glow on the crosses at back of his gloves Valerie understood that she had to act first, she guessed that his blessed contract had something to do with the shotgun he was carrying and the gloves he was putting on. ¡°Sure enough, I¡¯m not, but are you sure you want to engage me in such a public location, I assure you saying it was a gas leak won¡¯t be a good cover story¡± She stated while raising her hands in surrender, a bit of cold breeze wafted through the alley and whistled as it passed through the alley. It wasn¡¯t that long since the winter season ended as such a cold breeze wasn¡¯t out of place as such, everyone did not think it was strange. ¡°You overestimate the average person¡± ¡°You speak as if you aren¡¯t an average person, just because you can use magic doesn¡¯t mean anything¡±. ¡°The very fact that I can use magic means I am above the average person¡± He said, holding the gun with one hand and clenching his fist in front of his face. True, the average person held no magic and was quite ignorant of all the things that went on in the world, but he, as a person with a blessed power, is different from the masses, and he is better Hearing such words caused Valerie to laugh out loud. It was an audible giggle that caused the man to frown. He believed himself to have the advantage, so what could possibly be so funny. ¡°Is something amusing to you, vampire?!¡± ¡°Heh, just hearing you say that made me believe you must be compensating for something, I mean, who says they¡¯re above the average person and not come off as insecure about something?¡± ¡°Are you somehow implying that I have a small tool?¡± She quirked a brow to his question. She wasn¡¯t even implying that, but it seems that guy had an actual insecurity concerning his penis size. ¡°Does it even matter? I¡¯ll never see it¡± The man scowled at her, not liking how she worded her sentence, but no matter, he¡¯ll capture her and make her pay for that mockery. The thing about supernaturals is that they don¡¯t have human rights. He tightened his clenched fist and was about to give the order but unfortunately for him though clenching his fist was the last thing he¡¯d do as he suddenly found himself unable to move and incredibly cold, it was the same for everyone surrounding her including the ones on the rooftop. His eyes shot open and went wide as he realised he could not move, only to remain as such, and he was now unable to blink. ¡°You know it¡¯s been two weeks since winter ended, as such, there shouldn¡¯t be any cold breezes.¡± She Said, although winter ended 2 weeks ago a cool breeze of wind at night wasn¡¯t completely out of the norm, however it was strange that a breeze passed through a dead-end alley and the agents should have noticed how the breeze itself originated within the alley. The man was about to ask what she was talking about, but his mouth was closed shut. He couldn¡¯t even move a muscle. ¡®Impossible did she ¨C ¡® That thought went unfinished as his vision went black, and he blacked out. ¡°don¡¯t worry, you won¡¯t die, I just froze your blood and insides. You should survive a few seconds, more than enough to make my retreat.¡± She said in disappointment, and her skills made things far too easy. She had thought that those body suits they wear would protect them from all types of magical attacks, but it looks like that isn¡¯t the case, then again not many vampires can manipulate ice like she can. ¡°By the way, there''s a kid named Aaron Theed, I recently killed his father and uncles, I''m sure he''d be very happy about learning ways to kill me¡± She informed them, again, she was no battle maniac, however as a long-lived individual, she will often find herself bored, so a little entertainment is needed once in a whole. ¡°Whatever time to go home, it¡¯s been a few years since I¡¯ve been there.¡± She said before once again disappearing, leaving the men to their fate, if they survive good for them, they can come back for revenge later, although she wonders if she¡¯ll need the excitement of all that since her husband will be back. ¡°Oh, wait no, actually¡¡± ...... Vlad Dracula Tepes The weather was a bit sunny with small clouds here and there, there was a small and cool breeze that passed through the area. A castle, it was large, and it was built in the victorian style but was painted in colours of both red and black, the castle was located quite far the distance away from civilization, near the mountainous regions of Romania. Within the castle there was a room that was painted black with red scribbles that ran across the entirety of the room even on the canopy bed and mediaeval furniture, the windows were painted red giving the room a red lighting. Near the bed was a man, with short black hair and brown eyes, the man was tall with a lean body. He wore a butler¡¯s uniform, and he held his hands behind his back and stood there unmoving, staring at the sleeping body of another man. The other man was deathly pale, almost like a sheet of paper and his body was thin and lacked moisture, no it lacked more than moisture as it seemed to have a complete lack of it, He was shrivelled up like all the blood on his body was sucked dry. It was much like a corpse. The butler stared at the corpse that his master had entrusted that he guards, his honey brown eyes held a bit of curiosity and intrigued, he wondered who truly this man before him was, the man that lady Alcina had addressed as her husband. He was certain that as a mere fifty years old daywalker he hadn¡¯t been around long enough to know all the secrets regarding various vampires and powerful entities, and it was because of this that he felt a sense of curiosity and interest as he watched over the corpse. The crusty dried eyelids of the corpse shook before fluttering opened. The vision was blurry, and the dryness of the eyes quickly made it uncomfortable to blink, something expected, after all two hundred years, is a long time. He blinked a few times trying to clear the blurry vision. Once that was successful, the first thing he saw was the roof of his canopy bed, and on that roof were words. There was initially confusion in his eyes as he did not remember sleeping on a bed however, he tossed that aside and read the writings written on the roof of his canopy bed. ¡°Cunoa?te limba acestei lumi¡± Once he uttered those words and it was as if lightning had struck his brain as he felt his tongue, lips and throat burn accompanied by a searing headache that caused him to jolt up and sit upright on the bed. His mind quickly processed what happened as he blinked multiple times. ¡°Good morning, Lord Vlad, or should I say good afternoon.¡± The man that stood beside the bed gave him a greeting with a deep bow. There was a bit of elation in his voice, one that would normally go unnoticed, but Vlad noticed. Vlad turned to look at him. He gazed at the man in silence for a few seconds, scrutinising him from top to bottom before speaking. The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. ¡°a day walker?¡± He asked day walkers was the name that referred to half humans and half vampire¡¯s the hybrid vampires that could walk out in the sun from birth. Unlike ancient vampires who had to accumulate an immunity to the sun, day walkers were born with it, however due to their half human heritage they weren¡¯t really thought of highly within vampire society. Vlad quickly put that aside as he realised he was speaking in a different fashion than usual. He quickly realised that¡¯s what the spell was for. He smiled impressed at Alcina¡¯s preparations. ¡°Yes, my lord, my name is Dominic, and I was assigned by lady Alcina to watch over you. It is with great pleasure that I am able to meet you.¡± ¡°Then I imagine she prepared food for me.¡± That was not a question but a statement, he expected to have food the moment he woke up, he had even thought Dominic was the food, while sucking another vampire''s blood was taboo for a few reasons, Daywalkers were half human and drinking their blood was less taboo. If Dominic hadn¡¯t spoken, he would have lost a lot of blood right now. ¡°That she did, my lord.¡± Dominic slipped his hand on the inside of his jacket and pulled out a blood bag, and presented it to Vlad, who looked a bit puzzled. ¡°What is this?¡± ¡°I apologise, my lord, but this is a blood bag. It¡¯s a much more convenient way of acquiring blood without killing humans¡±. ¡°What do you mean? Since when have we needed to be mindful about the humans we kill?¡± He asked with a bit of frustration. In what world does he need to be mindful of hunting his prey. Humans outnumbered all the supernatural entities that exist, if humans were to be given equal strength to vampires and Werewolves their numbers would quickly overwhelm all the Supernaturals, but humans were weak and could barely put-up a fight so there would be no need to be cautious of them. While he could give them respect as living beings, he could hardly be convinced to hide from them nor consider them his equal. Vlad stared at Dominic and waited for him to speak. The young Daywalker seemed to be having trouble speaking, his body was sweating bullets, and he seemed to shiver endlessly. ¡°Ah¡± Realisation dawned on him. Dominic wasn¡¯t his familiar nor any vampire he created as such, he wasn¡¯t spared from the Aura Vlad released in his mild frustration. He quickly took the blood bag from the servant¡¯s hands and sunk his teeth onto it, sucking it dry, the blood was sweet mixed with a fresh taste of iron, an indicator that the blood was drawn from a magical gifted human, his favourite. The complexion returned from his face and his body became more hydrated and looked closer to being alive, however he still looked anorexic, he did not request another bag instead he slid off the bed and stood up. Drinking too much blood in a short period of time can cause nausea and vomiting, he needs to have his body get used to having blood as his normal diet, it has been 200 hundred years after all. With the blood he drank, he was feeling refreshed and energetic, a bit weaker than his normal state, but that can be remedied the more blood he drinks. ¡°My lord, your clothes¡± Dominic, having recovered from the scare earlier, presented him with his clothes, a 3-piece suit, black in color with a blood red tie and shoes. Incidentally, he didn¡¯t need to take a bath or shower as Dominic went above and beyond with his duties. ¡°Hmm¡± He hummed looking at the clothes they were a bit different from what he was used to, however it has been 2 hundred years as such he didn¡¯t question it, he wasn¡¯t so closed to the idea of change in fact his deep sleep was so he could experience the change. It didn¡¯t take long for him to put the clothes on and with the help from Dominic it was quite easy, the two of them exited the room and went down the stairs as they did Dominic spoke. ¡°As you know my lord it has been 2 hundred years since you began your slumber as such many things have changed some you might not like and others you might, lady Alcina left it upon me to ensure that you at the very least are aware of the technological advances this way you won¡¯t be confused, she also advised to learn some history but that¡¯s entirely up to you¡± Vlad nodded to his words, he once again was impressed how prepared his wife was, learning everything he can, will be the priority for the time being before he does anything he at least needs to get rid of any ignorance he might have, as someone of high status he must either be knowledgeable on all things or have servants that are. Once they descended the stairs, they entered the living room where Vlad noticed something. ¡°Hmm my castle, where is it?¡± ¡°Oh yes, lady Alcina thought it would have been best to move you to a place that is less crowded and less noisy¡±. ¡°What do you mean?¡± ¡°I¡¯ll explain. Please look over there to the table¡± Various contraptions were sprawled across the table, some small, some big, and Vlad had no idea what they were. All he saw were strange rectangles boxes with black fronts and white back ¡°Now my lord let me officially welcome you to the 21st century¡±. Dominic spoke with pride as he picked up a cell phone and showed it to Vlad. . Elizabeth Bathory Tepes 2 The beach is usually a place known for its fun and enjoyable atmosphere with various people wearing swimsuits walking about and having fun, kids playing beach games, and laughing happily. The beach is usually such a place where there¡¯s happiness and joy, a place humans come to when needing to relax, however today that wasn¡¯t the case. Black armoured vehicles blocked anyone from entering as men carrying heavy guns stood in guard, the beach itself was littered with men in armour some carrying swords and guns or any weapon of their choice, the entire beach area and buildings close to it had been cleared. Among these men was a man wearing priestly robes reminiscent of the Catholic church. He held a cross on his hand and a glowing talisman on the other. He stood watching at the sea waiting, waiting for her to show up. The talisman on his hand glowed brighter as the seconds went by until, from beneath the ocean, a shark appeared. It was quite large, closer to the size of a bus, and as it slowly approached the shore, the priest-like man signaled his men to be ready. Once it was close enough, it opened its mouth, revealing the petite frame of a young maiden wrapped in talismans that were drenched in the shark¡¯s saliva. ¡°Ugh! Disgusting, this will be counted as his fault too¡±. Elizabeth spoke as she hopped off the beast, removing her fingers that had dug deep into its inner flesh and took a step into the shallow waters of the shore. The brightness of the sun had blinded her for a moment, but she quickly was able to recover and see. She looked at the reception she was getting and smiled. There were at least close to a hundred men all dressed in black military armored uniforms carrying heavy guns that she could guess were enhanced by magic. Despite seeing how outnumbered she was, she hardly felt threatened. She was feeling a bit peckish right now, so a few strong and healthy men would do great as a breakfast meal, or would it be lunch considering the time. ¡°I am impressed by the warm welcome¡± She expressed taking in the sights and feeling the air. The sunlight burned a bit, but she played it off. She spotted another man that stood out among the rest. ¡°a priest? And you brought a cross too. You know this isn¡¯t an exorcism, right?¡± She asked with mild condescension in her tone but held a small level of caution within her. She was weakened after all, so it is imperative that she remain vigilant, even if she believes herself superior in every aspect. ¡°Your ability to remain calm in such situations is commendable lady Bathory, but you are outnumbered.¡± There she was, Elizabeth Bathory Tepes, one of the few supernatural entities with a threat level of 5. This was his chance. If he manages to defeat her, his reputation and rank within the organisation will go up by tenfold, however the vampire before him was not ordinary vampire. Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site. The fact she was immune to sunlight despite being weakened spoke volumes about her strength and age; only the strongest and oldest of vampires can conquer the sun barring Daywalkers. As a talisman master he was the one tasked with placing those talismans on her as such, it was deemed that it was his job to capture her again. The talismans on her body were a precaution in order to make her weak enough that she wouldn¡¯t be able to escape yet she did, granted the talismans on her were over ten years old it¡¯s to be expected that they¡¯d be less effective over time. It also didn¡¯t help that when he placed the talisman on her he did not know anything about her and only knew she was a vampire and thus could only make a talisman for that rather than one specific to her. The man crossed his fingers on the hand that held the talisman and the talisman that were stuck to her body began to itch and burn, the slow sizzle of meat being burnt was heard as a bit of smoke began to emit from Elizabeth¡¯s body only adding to the pain she felt from the sun. Seeing that he had such control over the talisman on her body she figured he¡¯s the one who either made them or controlled them, she did her best to not show any signs of pain and instead project a calm image. ¡°I have a very important meeting I need to get to, and I¡¯d rather not be late, so if you don¡¯t mind removing these, that would be helpful¡±. A cute and innocent smile was plastered on her face, and an aura of innocence radiated from her, nearly making the soldiers feel intense guilt for inconveniencing her. ¡°Your charms will not work, Vampire!¡± He said as such, but he was shocked to see that she could use her vampire charm ability, while everyone here was given items to resist any form of mind control, they could still feel her charm trying to bend their will. She shouldn¡¯t be able to use that type of power since the talismans are still on her. Was her charm so strong that she could still use it? ¡°Well obviously, your talisman is weakening me, so anyway, why haven¡¯t you ordered them to fire yet?¡± She asked, staring directly into his eyes, but of course, that trick wouldn¡¯t work on him; however, she was curious about why he hasn¡¯t ordered an attack yet. She hasn¡¯t drunk any blood in 10 years, and she¡¯s being weakened by the talismans plus the sunlight that adds another weakening effect she couldn¡¯t possibly dodge every single bullet being fired at her, her best bet would be a retreat. Looking at her now, he could not help but reconsider his plan, the talisman was less effective than he had realised. Perhaps it was negligence on his part or the organisation. They should have regularly changed and renewed the effect of the talisman, but then again, it¡¯s dangerous to get close to any level 5 threat even if they¡¯re imprisoned. ¡®let¡¯s test this out first, if she truly isn¡¯t weakened, I¡¯ll retreat.¡¯ He thought. ¡°Oh, I see, so that¡¯s how it is.¡± ¡°Now you get it¡±. The man responded as he took a fighting stance, of course taking down a level 5 threat would raise his reputation to heights never seen, however that plan may have been a mistake considering what he just figured out but there was still a chance even if the talisman were less effective, she should still be somewhat weakened and that was what he wanted to test out. She looked at the man, he looked to be middle-aged around 35 if not 40, he doesn¡¯t seem to be the type to be overly ambitious judging by his speech. He was religious, sure, but he has yet to call her a heretic for simply being a vampire, and he called her lady Bathory, meaning for some reason he wanted to be polite. By all accounts he should be the type to not get over his own head, not unless he truly believes he can take her in a fight or perhaps a calculated risk or maybe he is going through a midlife crisis and needs an achievement under his name? Elizabeth sighed; despite her assessment, she was never quite good at reading people, so the man¡¯s reasons for doing this may differ from what she imagines nonetheless a meal was a meal. ¡°People tend to often act out of character when they believe that there¡¯s already a forgone conclusion that works in their favor. may I know your name?¡± She asked while simultaneously feeling seashells under the water with her feet, she had to be careful not to make it obvious so as not to alert them. ¡°it¡¯s Homer Thedius¡± ¡°Very well, Homer, come at me¡± However, despite her accepting his challenge and beckoning him to come closer, he stayed his distance. The only movement he made was a fighting stance. Looking at his stance she could easily tell he was no martial artist, as he took the standard boxing stance with his fists closer to his face which was typical of people who don¡¯t practise martial arts, or maybe he was a boxer, she wasn¡¯t a good judge of people. The idea to peel off her own skin to remove the talisman crossed her mind but she dismissed it, she hasn¡¯t had blood in a long time as such her healing factor is slow, so she decided against that idea. The two stared each other down in silence, Elizabeth could feel the sun¡¯s heat burn her the more she stood directly under it, the pain was gradually increasing by the second, she had wanted to wait for him to make the move, but he seemed to expect her to do so. She moved, suddenly squatting, and that single action was all he needed. He spurred into action and quickly tried to get close. He used his talisman to enhance his speed. However, he was too late. Elizabeth grabbed a seashell from the water, flicking it with her thumb, it splashed out of the water with impeccable speed, and it hit the man on the forehead with a force equivalent to that of a hammer, cracking his skull and halting him on his tracks. ¡°Oh shit!! Open fire!!¡± One of the men shouted, and gunshots resounded on the beach as the men relentlessly poured their bullets onto their target, riddling her with holes and turning her to swiss cheese They did not even care about their superior who was in front of her. In fact, the force of the bullet pushed him into her hands, and both their bodies fell limp on the water as blood mixed into the ocean. ......... Chapter 6: R茅union Oh shit!! Open fire!!¡± One of the men shouted, and gunshots resounded on the beach as the men relentlessly poured their bullets onto their target, riddling her with holes and turning her to swiss cheese. They did not even care about their superior who was in front of her. In fact, the force of the bullet pushed him into her hands, and both their bodies fell limp on the water as blood mixed into the ocean. ¡°Nobody say anything!¡± One of the men shouted, informing his comrades not to speak a single word. ¡°But captain, you just said¨C ¡° ¡°Shut up!¡± The agents then stood in silence watching the scene unfold. By all accounts, they should have killed her. All bullets and guns from the S.E.E are especially made to kill supernatural creatures. Not only that but the average 9mm pistol is often enhanced with enchantment runes for fast bullet speed without any massive recoil, those were the benefits of wielding magic, one can bend the laws of physics and make them his bitch. As the agents watched, Homer¡¯s body suddenly got tossed back at them, the body was utterly decimated, large chunks of it gouged out by the bullets, the metaphor about swiss cheese was quite apt in describing the way he looked. The soldiers quickly tossed the body aside and focused on the person who threw it, they watched as Elizabeth began to stand up, her movement slow and deliberate, her body was healing the bullet holes and she could feel some of her strength return. ¡°Fire!!!¡± Unfortunately, by the time the captain managed to utter those words it was too late, he felt his face touch the rough and coarse sand as everything in his sight went black and the last thing any of the soldiers saw was red rain that fell from the sky. All the soldiers were dealt with in a matter of seconds. Her speed and precision spoke for themselves and showcased her prowess, and she barely broke a sweat. A wide grin was etched on her face as she stood on the blood soaked sand, Her body drenched in blood, she marvelled at the sense of satisfaction she felt at this moment, it has been a long while since she felt her hand tear through flesh. ¡°hhmm¡± She hummed excitedly and tasted the blood. It was sweet, and the iron-like taste was something that she had long missed these past 10 years. It was like quenching a thirst after hours of being on a dessert, a lifesaving experience that made her joyous to be free again. The blood suddenly stopped raining down on the sand but instead began to swirl above her head and formed itself into a perfect spherical shape, and floated right above her head. Homer was a fool thinking he could have taken a vampire on by himself, especially one as old as Elizabeth or at least that¡¯s what she thought, she was about to leave when she noticed something, the talismans were still on her. If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. ¡°What?! I suck¨C ¡° She paused as she realised that the user of the talismans wasn¡¯t dead, if he was then they would simply return to being pieces of paper, she had overlooked them because they were barely affecting her once she drank some blood. ¡°What? You thought I was dead?¡± Homer stood up as the wounds healed, leaving only holes in his clothes, even the parts of his face that were gouged out by the bullets healed perfectly. However, Elizabeth was not surprised. It was certainly unexpected but not surprising. ¡°Another blessed contract, I suppose it¡¯s the only thing you have to level the playing field I¨C¡± [Elizabeth?] Elizabeth paused as the smoothly deep baritone voice of her darling rang in her head, interrupting the conversation she was having. Her first thought when she heard it was her appearance, she can¡¯t have him see her like this, her hair was a mess and she had just exited the insides of a shark she must smell bad too [Darling!! You¡¯re awake already] She responded in a bit of a panic while her mind quickly tried to think of an excuse for him not to come to her, the fact that he was contacting her must mean she was closer to him than the other two, which was a good thing, but she was not ready yet. [Of course, where are you? I¡¯ll come get you] ¡°Quickly you!! Undo these things, I can¡¯t have him see me like this¡±. She tried to use her charm ability again, but it was in vain, Homer was immune or at least had protection against it. ¡°Trying to use you charm wo¨C ¡° A powerful and devastating kick to his ribs interrupted his words, the kick destroyed his internal organs and shattered the right side of his ribs before sending him flying across the air and slammed on top one of the black cars blocking the beach, indenting his shape onto it on its bumper. ¡°I¡¯m not fucking playing with you human, remove these things¡± Her voice was laced with a venom that threatened to do very awful things to the man if he did not obey her commands, her beautiful and cute face was now a hideous glare that sent shivers down Homer¡¯s spine. [Are you sure, you just woke up, you¡¯re still weakened] Almost as if to contrast her mood, she responded to her husband in a sweet and concerned voice that served to hide her inner turmoil, it was a good thing the telepathic link did not involve sharing emotions. [Come now Eli, I¡¯m never too weak to see my wives] She nearly blushed at his words but quickly realised that he might be coming to her directly and she can¡¯t think of an excuse, Elizabeth rushed over toward Homer and grabbed him by his head, dragged it across the ground a few times before slamming it on the ground repeatedly. The human tried his best to resist, trying to use the talismans on her body to weaken her but failing She had already a supply of blood floating above her head to feed on so any attempts at weakening her were pointless.. Each time his head hit the floor it would heal only to get damaged again and the cycle of pain would repeat and any attempts to punch, kick or get her hand off him were futile. [I don¡¯t know, I don¡¯t want you to overexert yourself before you overexert yourself] Despite her panic she couldn¡¯t help but hint at the intense back blowing that was to occur today, this was also the reason why she didn¡¯t offer up either of the two wives as a distraction while she gets ready, she needs to be the first, so she can gloat about it. ¡°[Elizabeth darling please, I¡¯m not that weak, tell me your location] [ fine, I¡¯m sure you can sense my position, I shouldn¡¯t be too far plus it¡¯s been 200 years you probably don¡¯t know this place¡¯s name] She informed, she was sure she had at least a minute before he could make it to her so she would have to be ready in that minute, of course she couldn¡¯t help but feel like she was contradicting herself. She wanted him to be before her right this instance so she could ravage him all she wants but at the same time as a lady, her husband cannot see her in such a disgraceful state. [Ah! You¡¯re right. I¡¯ll be there in a minute] Hearing those words Elizabeth grabbed Homer by the leg and began bashing him on to the car like a baseball bat, the streets were empty and only the sound of banging could be heard. ¡°Come on die already!!¡± Just as she said she felt the talisman slowly slipped off her body and revealed her beautiful pale skin and petite frame. Ignoring the man she quickly flew around the buildings near the beach, her flight speed was impeccable however she had little time. His presence was already near her so she could only get a red tank top with some shorts before coming back to her location and waited and he arrived a second later. Without another second passing she rushed to tackle him, moving at speeds that turned her into a blur, receiving her tackle he caught her and used her momentum to spin her around in the air as he held up her by her underarms. She grabbed his head and pulled herself closer and locked lips with him before he could say anything, she then proceeded to wrap her own legs around his torso. Seeing such impatience from his wife he grabbed her head and pulled himself back. ¡°Patients Eli my dear, we¡¯re in public you know¡±. ¡°Are you going to deny me?!¡± She seemed to forget that she wanted to look good before meeting. Her hair was a mess and luckily, she had fallen into water earlier which must have washed off the smell of shark insides that may have clung to her body. ¡°of course not, but¡¡± ¡°Then why should being in public matter? Do you not realize 200 years is a long time?¡± ..... A/N: Hope you enjoyed the chapter. Leave a comment. Chapter 7: Liar!! "Patients Eli, my dear, we¡¯re in public, you know¡±. ¡°Are you going to deny me?!¡± She seemed to forget that she wanted to look good before meeting. Her hair was a mess, and luckily, she had fallen into water earlier, which must have washed off the smell of shark insides that may have clung to her body. ¡°of course not, but¡¡± ¡°Then why should being in public matter? Do you not realize 200 years is a long time?¡± She said in frustration, interrupting his words and adding the 200 years as a way to guilt trip into agreeing to her unreasonable demands. If he truly loved her, he would do as she says. ¡°Yes, I understand, but let¡¯s get home first, then I can please you all you want¡± He agreed but he was not about to satisfy his wife in the middle of a beach, he also notes that ¡°200 years¡± is going to be a regular spoken phrase in their conversation, hopefully the other two won¡¯t hold it over him, they probably will. ¡°Humph!!, fine, but drink some blood, this weak form of yours will hardly please me¡± She crossed her arms and pouted as she said, making it clear that she was not pleased, of course she looked cuter than anything which made Vlad realise that though he may have been asleep he missed her, his mouth stretched into a small smile. ¡°I¡¯m sure I¡¯ll do just fine¡±. ¡°Your arms feel weak on my body. Do you think I want you to hold me gently like this?¡± She asked. She wanted him to squeeze her tight to showcase his deep longing for her. She could tell he was trying to do that, but he was weak. She needed a back breaking hug, not to mention how is he going to choke her with such weak arms? Honestly, did he think she wanted him to be gentle when they finally embraced each other after 200 years? ¡°Be reasonable Elizabeth¡± ¡°No but I¡¯ll compromise. If you don¡¯t satisfy me properly, I demand a week¡¯s worth of love making to make up for it¡± ¡°That can be done, now let¡¯s go home, I¡¯m excited to learn more about the cell phone¡± With that, he shot up into the air and flew back to his home with his wife in his arms. Unfortunately for Elizabeth, Homer wasn¡¯t dead. His body that was left near the completely wrecked car began to heal, his broken bones snapped back together, and his wounds closed. Slowly opening his eyes, he spoke. ¡°May have underestimated my foe there¡± Homer stated as he felt the pain of having his body slammed against a car multiple times, it also didn¡¯t help the he was feeling incredibly hungry, after using his healing blessed contract to such an extent today. ¡°Yeah, no kidding!¡± A man wearing a pitch-black suit and top hat appeared. He had a black mask covering half his face and revealing the thick beard on the lower half. He held a walking stick that was made from Mahogany wood. ¡°Lokt, were you watching me?¡± Homer asked with a bit of shock in his voice. ¡°Would I show up here if I wasn¡¯t, is it stupid questions day, today? Obviously, if I show up here, it means I was watching you. Are you dumb? Wait, no, actually, you are otherwise. Why else would you willingly face that vampire instead of killing her the moment you saw her. This is why you won¡¯t get a promotion. You put too much trust in your stupid talisman¡¡± A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. As Lokt continued to speak, his body never stopped moving, his hands gesticulating all over as he spoke, putting emphasis on his words. It was almost cartoonish, with how exaggerated it was. ¡°Alright, alright, I get it¡± ¡°Do you? coz I get the feeling you don¡¯t, if you did get it, you wouldn¡¯t need me to tell you all this, you wouldn¡¯t have done the stupid shit you just did but fine I¡¯ll stop. Question: Who was that guy that showed up at the end there? You don¡¯t know? Wonderful now, we have an unknown enemy because Mr. Stupid over here decided to play dead instead of asking questions.¡± ¡°She was going to kill me. What was I supposed to do?¡± ¡°You were supposed to kill her. Maybe that corpse looking guy wouldn¡¯t have shown up if you did, but I guess now we know he exists. Good job, good job on being an idiot. I know it sounds like I¡¯m being unreasonable and a jerk that''s because I am, it¡¯s been a long day, and I need a stress release. Don¡¯t take that out of context. Anyway, you must walk to headquarters, goodbye¡± With that, Lokt disappeared, leaving Homer groaning in exasperation. ¡°Good grief, that guy won¡¯t shut up sometimes¡±. He said as he began looking for a car, surprisingly only one out of 10 vehicles were destroyed, he walked around the area and added additional concealment talisman around the area, there was already a few talismans made to keep people out of the beach and people who lived near were forcefully evicted under with the excuse of a tsunami being eminent. He quickly got onto one of the vehicles and drove off. The S.E.E. will send people to clean up his mess, not that only but he¡¯s mostly going to get a pay cut after this. ¡°Damn that was stupid of me¡±. ¡¡.. Aaron arrived in his home, a mansion house that was Located at central London, the mansion was designed in Victorian style or rather the Mansion was built during the Victorian era and the Theed family must only maintain it without ruining its structure. Arriving at the gate the guards that stood at its sides simply nodded at his arrival neither of them asked any questions about his tattered appearance nor was it their business, using his key card he entered and walked to the house, he dreaded the fact that the driveway was so large causing him to have to walk an entire kilometre before arriving at the door of his home. The doors opened as he was suddenly jumped by a blur. He found himself getting crushed by something akin to a vice. His chest felt as if it was caving in due to the sheer force. ¡°Oh, my baby! where have you been? why didn¡¯t you answer your phone? what happened, why are your clothes so dirty? What happened to your leg? Does it hurt?¡± His mom barraged him with various questions as she looked him all over, checking his condition and state of being, there was clear worry and concern in her eyes, unfortunately despite her question Aaron didn¡¯t answer her, instead he simply returned the hug, grabbing her tight as tears began to roll down his face. The incident that occurred yesterday was fresh on his mind, and he was stricken with guilt. How was he supposed to tell her? ¡°What¡¯s wrong dear? You¡¯re crushing me with your arms, you know¡±. Perhaps he did not want to see her face when she hears the news, the hurt in her eyes when she hears what she has to say is something that he was too afraid to see as such he decided to deliver the news while they both were still hugging. ¡°Mom¡. Dad is dead¡± He stated but those words felt like an admission of the reality of things and the tears flooded his face, a look of anguish and sorrow marred his face, he could only imagine how his mother would feel. There was a silence as he let his words sink in, a full minute went by before his mom finally spoke. ¡°Oh! honey, are you okay?¡± She pulled away from the hug and looked at his tear covered face and saw the hurt in his eyes as she asked, she touched his face and wiped the tears off his cheeks, her face showed only concern for him, her darling little boy had to go through such a traumatic event. Aaron looked at her with mild confusion in his eyes, she didn¡¯t seem upset about the news he delivered, she did not break down and cry her eyes out like he was expecting, perhaps she didn¡¯t hear him. ¡°Mom didn¡¯t you hear me? Dad is dead¡± ¡°Yes, I heard you honey, I know you love your dad, but don¡¯t worry I¡¯m here for you if you need to talk¡±. His eyes nearly bulged out of his out of his head as he looked at his mother, his mind spun as various thoughts ran across it, he was severely confused, completely flashbangered, he could not believe what he was seeing, why was she not crying? ¡°Mom dad is dead!¡± ¡°I heard you Aaron¡± ¡°Then why aren¡¯t you crying? Your husband just died¡± He shouted, causing some of the guards outside to look in his direction. Her eyes darted around, seeing the reactions of the guards before she beckoned him to enter the house. ¡°Come inside, Aaron, I¡¯ll tell you inside¡± She tried to lead him into the house. However, he slapped her hand away and took a step back, his anger bubbled within. He wanted answers. ¡°No!! te-tell here! Tell me here, what¡¯s going on?!¡± He demanded, stumbling over his words a bit. This woman wasn¡¯t even heartbroken about the fact that her husband just died. He was tempted to accuse her of being in cahoots with Aunty Val. ¡°You¡¯re going to need to sit down¡± ¡°No! I¡¯m fine standing up!!!¡± He responded, awfully rude, talking to his mother like that. However, his mom didn¡¯t chastise him for it but instead simply sighed and shook her head. He was hardheaded like his father. ¡°I¡¯m sorry you had to find out like this, but I didn¡¯t love your father. In fact, we divorced a year after you were born.¡± ¡°What?!!¡± The shock was so immense that he took a few steps back. His whole life had just suddenly become a lie, the family trips, the game nights, the family photos. All those things were not done by a loving family of three but instead two adults who weren¡¯t a family nor were they even in love, the only saving grace to this was that he at least wasn¡¯t a literal bastard. first, it was his trusted aunt and mentor who murdered his uncles, cousins, and father, and now his mother is telling him such news. He couldn¡¯t believe it, surely this wasn¡¯t reality. ¡°Of course, I¡¯m stupid. This is a dream¡± His mind retreated to the realm of delusions. It was the only thing that made sense. No way could such a succession of events could happen in the span of a few hours. Of course, he was merely dreaming, and he should wake up any moment now, as much he wanted to delude himself into believing that deep down, he knew the truth. ¡°Oh darling, I¡¯m sorry I didn¡¯t¡¡± ¡°Don¡¯t touch me!!¡± Slapping her hand away, he turned his back to her and began to walk, he cannot sleep in the same house as her today, too many things were happening all at once, he needed peace, some quiet to properly think things through. ¡°Aaron listen¡ I¡± ¡°I will not!! listen to anything a liar like you will say¡±. He said with finality and walked towards the gate. Exiting the gate, he decided to take a small walk before booking a nearby hotel. ¡.. A/N: I hope you enjoyed Chapter 8: Getting acquainted again(**) The chain tightly held onto her neck, suffocating her, sweat and saliva dripping off her face and mouth as her eyes rolled back, revealing her pure white sclera. Her feet barely touched the floor with her toes, she was nearly floating, and her hand held on to the wall, her elbows bent in and out almost like she was doing an exercise. Her tongue slipped out of her mouth as her sweet voice moaned in satisfaction, her cheeks flushed red and her mind was in a near drunken stupor as her husband rammed his thick, hard, and hot penis into her vagina, juices flowed from within its walls as each thrust from him touched her deep in her sweet spot. ¡°Ha¡ Har... harder darling Harder!!!¡± She demanded, and He obliged, pulling on the chain and tightened it around her neck and in tandem he thrusted his hips faster and faster heeding her request. He could feel her wet and smooth walls tighten around his manly appendage, every second his tip brushed against her walls, a feeling of euphoria that he could not describe assaulted him, prompting him to continue his thrusts. 200 years was a long time as such he will make up for the lost time, as a husband it was his duty that he do just that. Unfortunately for Vlad he was nowhere near his physical peak, as such despite having been pleasuring his wife for three days straight with hardly any rest or to eat, he could feel that she was not satisfied and he couldn''t keep up anymore, he was getting tired, but he persisted. Thrust it into her and she moaned in pleasure feeling the hotness of his member, His continuous thrusts and the feeling of pleasure that accompanied them accumulated over and until eventually an electrifying feeling of pleasure ran through her body clouding her mind and causing her toes to curl. She let out a deluge of juices and soaked her darling¡¯s entire waist; however, he in turn released his own thick white juices into her forbidden cavern and both dropped to the floor while panting heavily. After a minute or two of them panting on the ground Elizabeth was the first to speak. ¡°I¡¯ll get you something to drink after that we¡¯re going for round two¡±. She informed her darling as she stood up, and felt the cold air in the room. She was quite sweaty, so it made sense that it was cold. Vlad watched her petite form move toward the door, looking at her behind, he had to admit she had a firm rump, unfortunately he was tired and unsure if he was going to be able to do a second round. He sighed deeply perhaps that 200-year sleep was a bad idea. ¡°Alcina must be quite cross with me¡± Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon. He exclaimed; among his wives she is the one who most likely won¡¯t accept any apology he gives; in fact, she is more likely to attack him the moment she lays her eyes on him and not in the same way that Elizabeth attacked him. .. Exiting the room and walking towards the kitchen to get a blood bag, Elizabeth found herself feeling giddy at the thought of her husband being back, a smile was plastered across her face and she hummed slowly as she walked. Her room specifically was on the bottom floor and was separated by the living room from the kitchen, this was because she specifically wanted it this way. She¡¯s the type to want to eat snacks in between breaks of doing something as such being closer to the fridge was ideal for her. Dominic has been given free time and his presence was unnecessary for the time being as such Elizabeth could walk around the house completely naked. She was confident only her and Vlad were home, she entered the living room and instantly froze as she saw her sister-wife seated and seemingly waiting for her. ¡°Elizabeth, I brought the dress you wanted¡±. Valerie was seated on the single person couch as she spoke, her tone was icy cold and her face was devoid of any emotion however it was clear that she wasn¡¯t pleased, Elizabeth felt a chill crawl over her body as the threat of her sister¡¯s anger became apparent. ¡°Val, I know how this looks but it wasn¡¯t my intention to trick you.¡± ¡°It wasn¡¯t?¡± She asked and the temperatures in the room decreased to below room temperature, her face remaining expressionless without a hint of emotion. Valerie was among the many individuals that didn¡¯t like to be overly emotional and always preferred to be calm and collected. Her facial muscles were exceptionally stiff and unmoving as such one would think she was an exceptionally good stoic but that was hardly the case, she was very emotional it just hardly showed on her face barring a single exception. ¡°For starters, yes, I did want to gloat about the fact that it was me that he embraced him first, like he did just now.¡± Elizabeth explained but ended her sentence with a condescending and arrogant smile directed at Valerie, which caused the ice cold beauty to close and open her eyes. She thought she could be generous and help her out yet it was all a trick just so she could claim the prize of being the first after two hundred years and now she has to witness the bitch gloat about it for the next month. It was unacceptable. The temperature dropped in the room and despite trying to plead her case Elizabeth couldn¡¯t help but feel satisfied, she could practically feel the jealousy rolling off Valerie and Elizabeth withheld her smile from opening wider. Their husband embraced her first upon his awakening; it was a victory she could hardly contain to herself. ¡°However, for the most part what I told you was true. I did need a dress, he¡¯s the one who found me, I guess I was closer, so this wasn¡¯t intentional.¡± While her explanation was true, the fact that the condescending smile never left her face made it seem like she was lying, the smile said it all. ¡°He slept with me first, therefore he loves me more¡± while this technically wasn¡¯t true both knew it however Elizabeth will be using every chance, she gets to annoy both Valerie and Alcina with the fact that Vlad slept with her first. ¡°Cope, seethe¡± Elizabeth could not help but taunt her sister and the result was the whole room instantly turning a shade of blue as it began freezing over, crystal blue ice glistened as the light shone upon it, and the room became an impromptu deep freezer that would instantly solidify anything with moisture. The very air within the room became snowflakes and the beads of sweat on Elizabeth became flakes of ice on her skin but she was unbothered. ¡°Oops did I say that out loud?¡± Completely discarding the excuse she was making earlier and decided to fully accept what she did, it¡¯s not like she was sorry anyways. Despite being completely naked and even her own sweat has frozen over her skin she barely felt the cold, a resistance she had gained because situations like these were quite the norm in the Tepes household or rather she was particularly gifted in annoying her sister wives. Small crystal-like lances began to form above Valerie¡¯s shoulders, their cold and icy tips threatening to penetrate flesh of the perceived enemy glistened in the light as they pointed themselves at the petite frame of Elizabeth. ¡°Now hold on, My dear Valerie no need to get angry, you know how she is¡± His voice registered in her ears and her ice suddenly disappeared, her body blurred from its position and crashed onto him with enough force to generate a shockwave, her small petite figure clung to him in a tight hug, and she looked up at his face with flushed cheeks as a smile formed. Unfortunately, however, she could not enjoy the scent of her darling husband since Elizabeth¡¯s scent was all over him, ruining the moment but she still clung to him regardless, although she did silently grind her teeth in anger. ¡°Careful with your strength my dear I¡¯m still a bit weak, you see¡±. He advised, but unfortunately, neither of his wives could control themselves when excited, so Valerie did not heed what he said, or rather she didn¡¯t care.¡± ..... Chapter 9: Clingy wife ¡¡ He advised, but unfortunately, neither of his wives could control themselves when excited, so Valerie did not heed what he said, or rather she didn¡¯t care. What she wanted was to be one with him, and unfortunately, that was physically impossible, so the next best thing was to squeeze him as hard as she could, leaving no space between them. ¡°Wow, aren¡¯t you a bit clingy, Valerie?¡± Elizabeth spoke her voice carrying a mocking undertone, one that Valerie did not appreciate at all. ¡°Fuck you!! And don¡¯t speak you¡¯re ruining my moment¡± Valerie responded, a sudden outburst of anger although her brows did not crease in anger, she spoke with a chill in her voice and her words transmitted her feeling appropriately, of course she also tightened her hug and subjecting her husband to the torment of having his back broken. ¡°Ugh! Val dear¡ you¡¯re¡ crushing my spine.¡± He needed to drink some blood and regain his strength to avoid situations like this. ¡°Humph! What right do you have to dictate when I can and cannot speak?¡± Elizabeth stated only to have Valerie stare at her silently before letting go of Vlad¡¯s torso and stepping back a few steps. She completely ignored Elizabeth¡¯s existence and instead spoke to Vlad, someone who was trying to purposely piss her off was clearly not worth her time. ¡°Darling what do you think? I had it picked out with your tastes in mind¡±. She twirled around showing the cute black and white gothic lolita dress that fit her form perfectly, it had a grey outer corset that hugged her waist and pushed up her breasts and the lower half of the dress was black with white frills that contrasted well with the black. The dress was very reminiscent of 18th century ball gowns with a touch of modernity, she also had done her hair, which was made into a nice uphill ponytail that was tied with a black ribbon and the hair was highlighted black in some parts giving it a nice parallel strip of black and white. Her lips were a glossy black and her icy blue eyes shone with a brilliance. She was radiating a gothic beauty that made Vlad feel a sense of nostalgia. The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. ¡°Beautiful my darling as always¡± He smiled as he appraised, causing Val to smile smugly and looked at Elizabeth who could only roll her eyes and regret not picking up a dress of her own to show off; however , since she slept with him first she decided to let Val have her moment. Shrugging her shoulders she exited the room and left the two alone for a bit. ¡°So did you miss me?¡± Vlad asked his wife, looking at her over once more, she really was beautiful, of course if any of his wives asked how they looked in any type of dress his automatic response would always be the same, however looking at her more carefully he could not help but fully appreciate the way she dressed. ¡°Is that even a question? Although I am angry that she got to you before me¡± Valerie spoke, her face carried a neutral expression but her tone of voice told Vlad she felt a bit of anger. ¡°You''ll get your chance at your revenge¡± He stated as he turned his head to almost looking for something, which Valerie noted but said nothing. ¡°Where is the kitchen?¡± He finally asked, feeling slightly defeated, he could not help but sigh, realising that this new home of his is unfamiliar and he would not know where anything is. ¡°Heh! let me take you¡± She grasped his hand and was about to lead him when she stopped. ¡°no need¡± Elizabeth spoke and she entered the room and threw a blood bag at Vlad who caught it. ¡°you¡¡± ¡°What? I drained him pretty dry, you aren¡¯t going to get much out of him now, if that''s what you were planning ¡± ¡°I don''t see why you get to enjoy yourself and I don''t¡± ¡°Not my fault you¡¯re slow¡± ¡°So, You did! plan delay me so you could have him all to yourself¡± Elizabeth could only smirk and shrug her shoulders further fueling her sister¡¯s anger. Valerie¡¯s brows didnt even twitch despite her holding in her anger, this sister wife of hers really was a thorn to her side. ¡°I would appreciate it if you didn''t speak as if I was some type of play thing, you two¡± Vlad stated as he finished drinking the blood from the bag and his body, took a more healthy looking colour, he became less pale, and less anorexic and some muscles began to show. ¡°I mean aren''t you? What good is a husband if he can''t be a play thing for his wives¡± ¡°Moving on, where''s Alcina? I can not seem to feel her presence, is she far away?¡± He decided to sidestep that conversation to another direction, mostly because they would probably agree with each other and partly because when it came to sex at least he was indeed their play thing so arguing contrary to that would be a challenge that they would want to take to the bedroom and he was not up for that yet. ¡°Hell if I know, I was somewhere else and hadn¡¯t spoken neither of them in 10 years¡± Elizabeth answered his question before, throwing herself on to the three person couch, her body still naked, both her and Vlad didn''t bother putting on clothes. ¡°10 years ?! What have you been doing?¡± ¡°200 years is a long time, Vlad. You expected me to just sit and wait, the boredom would kill me¡± She shrugged her shoulders as she said. ¡°She was in a sort of prison, made to hold creatures like us, I personally think she was there to satisfy her imprisonment kink¡± ¡°I''m not gonna deny that¡± She chimed, Although it wasn''t as good as she had hoped especially since Vlad wasn''t there to rail her brains out. So it didn''t really satisfy her kink, nothing beats having a chain choke you out while your husband rammed you like a battering ram to a door. Vlad chose to ignore her words, as he knew long ago that she was a sexual deviant, although seeing his wife tied up and locked away was kind of sexy. ¡®Maybe we can reenact her time in that prison¡¯ He thought, of course nobody said he wasn''t a sexual deviant himself. ¡°Fill me in. There''s prisons meant to hold creatures like us? When were such structures built?¡± He asked, while Valerie led him to sit on the single person couch and sat on his lap, an action that caused Elizabeth to roll her eyes before speaking. ¡°About a hundred years ago, there''s a whole human organisation now, one hell bent on either killing us or capturing us¡± His brow raised in curiosity, it seemed the humans had somehow found ways to compete with supernatural entities, that was certainly interesting. If that''s how things currently are, his 200 year slumber wasn''t for nothing, although it was a bit selfish of him, that''s something he needs to make up for. ¡°I see, tell me more about this, this era I woke up in just might be more interesting¡± Both Valerie and Elizabeth began to tell him more about the S.E.E Organisation and their own personal encounters with its agents. ..... Chapter 10: Alcina 1 United States of America] [New York city] The empire state building was one of the many landmarks of the city of New York, currently it was two days before Elizabeth broke out of her imprisonment and at this time the empire state building in one of its many floors, specifically the 100th floor, the elevator opened with a ding and a man went out. The man was of average height, with short blonde hair and a pair of dark brown eyes, he had a small smile on his face that showed his confidence in both himself and skill. He wore a black button up shirt with a cream white unbuttoned blazer and black jeans with white sneakers. As he exited the elevator he stepped into a rather large and lavish looking penthouse, the elevator into the hundredth floor lead directly into the penthouse. ¡°Greetings. Mr Ruckfil.¡± A woman with long hair tied into a ponytail greeted him. She wore a 16th century ballroom dress, cream In colour which contrasted well with her dark eyes and hair. Mr. Ruckfil could not help but find the clothing a bit odd but slightly amusing. ¡°I have an appointment with Ms. Alcina¡± The woman gave him a nod before turning and leading him towards the location of her mistress. As he was being led he noticed the odd number of humans in the house, all women too. ¡®Blood Farm?¡¯ He asked himself, it wasn''t uncommon for vampires to have the humans they suck blood from live with them as well and by carefully drinking small amounts of blood from their live-in humans, the vampire can bypass the need of having to hunt random humans for blood, essentially turning humans into livestock. He could not help but feel a slight bitter taste in his mouth. ¡®Perhaps the vegans have a point¡¯ He thought as he walked through the living room and saw at least five more humans all sitting together watching television, another odd sight that he passed by. having passed the living room he was led before a closed door. ¡°The lady is waiting for you behind the door. Please knock. Have a good day¡± She said before turning back and leaving him at the door. He raised his hand to knock but before he could do so a voice beckoned him to enter. Opening the door he walked into the room, what greeted him was a typical office room, a little bit more spacious than usual as it had two couches, a wide three person couch and a single person couch, behind the single person couch was a small yet wide bookshelf and beside the three person couch near the wall was a small table with wine and a glass placed atop it.If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. ¡°Good afternoon, Ms Alcina. I do hope this day is treating you well¡± He greeted the woman who was seated at the three person couch sipping what looked to be a glass of wine, although its colour was odd. The woman was beautiful, far more than any human woman he has ever seen, which was typical of supernatural creatures. Despite her being seated he could easily tell she was tall, closer to the height of that one famous basketball player, she had white short ear length and curly hair, beautiful pale skin akin to snow. Her eyes were a vibrant gold with a slight glow in them giving her an ephemeral type of beauty. Her beauty was accompanied by an incredibly sexy body as well. She had a thick body type with ample thighs that filled her gym shorts and more than adequately large breasts that threatened to spill out her form fitting tank top. She was definitely his type, in fact if he didn''t know any better he''d think she was trying to seduce him and he''d gladly let himself be seduced. ¡°Mr. Ruckfil, glad you could come, please have a seat¡± He gave her a nod before sitting on the single person couch in front of the bookshelf. After having made himself comfortable, she spoke. ¡°Wine?¡± She asked as she held up a glass filled with an eerily purple liquid inside. ¡°Trying to stay clear of any alcohol, my liver can''t take it anymore¡± Ruckfil answered, however both she and him knew that was not wine, well technically it was, it was just so filled to the brim with mana rich blood it turned purple and if any human were to consume such a beverage it would be like snorting pounds of crack and that wouldn''t be good for anybody. As far as he knew the drink should be dangerous to her as well but to a lesser degree, similar to how it''s dangerous to drink two high caffeine energy drinks in one day. ¡°How very human, must be a pain to be so weak, although you''re one of the few with actual skill¡± She said before gulping the purple wine like a glass of water and pouring herself another glass. ¡°I thank you for the appraisal, but I must ask why did you call for me Ms. Alcina, my expertise are geared toward killing your kind rather than helping them¡± He informed, he felt more than a little cautious, however he played it cool by relaxing his muscles so as to not appear visibly ready for a confrontation. ¡°That''s because I need you to kill someone, a vampire, I''m sure you and your underlings can accomplish that¡± She informed and he raised a brow, she was quite powerful herself, the million dollar bounty on her head spoke volumes of her strength, so it made little sense why she''d want him to do her dirty work. ¡°Of course, but I must ask, you have plenty of humans, why not have one of them put in a request from the guild? or better yet leak information about this Vampire to the S.E.E?¡± ¡°Because the Ruckfil family has been dealing with the supernatural since before even the Salem witch trials, as such you''re experts at culling particularly powerful vampires and because it would be insulting to send anyone other than your distinguished family after him¡± She explained and Ruckfil found himself curious about this vampire she wants dead, a vampire sending a human to kill a vampire, if he wasn''t so confident in his skills he''d think this was some type of joke. Although if this vampire she wants dead is powerful does that mean she lacks the means to kill it, or she is afraid of it so she needs someone else to kill it or perhaps only a person of his expertise could kill it. his curiosity peaked however at the same time so was his caution. ¡°I see, then what would be my reward for this request?¡± He asked, he didn''t need much, his family is one of the wealthiest families in North America so money was hardly a thing he was after. However he did need something else, something she can help him with. ¡°Anything within my power to give or rather you can choose a reward for yourself, I know someone like you doesn''t need money so finish the job and I''ll give you whatever reward you want¡± She informed as a smile blossomed on her face and his eyes gazed at her figure as his more lecherous inner thoughts beckoned him to choose her company as a reward however he knew better plus he already had in mind what he needed. ¡°Very well, we''ll discuss the reward later, any information on this vampire I can use?¡± She simply pointed at the desk, where a yellow file case was placed and Ruckfil took and began to skim over it, a more thorough read would be done later. ¡°Is this all that I need to know?¡± ¡°It should be but if you find additional information that''s not stated on the file then feel free to demand a greater reward or decline¡± She said before a click was heard and the door opened, Ruckfil turned his head and saw a young girl no older than twelve, the girl entered the room, her head looked down and she was trembling and he could see what he thought was tears dripping down her face. His heart panged as he turned his face to look at her and she smiled, his instincts told him to act and take this crying little girl who is about to be drained dry of her blood and killed and escape with her, however his better judgement convinced him otherwise. He was good hunter, perhaps one of the best in the entire United States of America, however, the woman before him was an older vampire, she has no weakness to the sun and the S.E.E has been struggling to kill her, acting against her right now in her own home would be foolish, he needed careful planning and prep to take her down. ¡°It seems that''s the end of our talk, if you would please let yourself out, I have to deal with this.¡± He stood up, gave her a bow before exiting the room, however his eyes never left the crying girl until the door closed behind him. ¡®vampires!!¡¯ He thought with slight anger as he was led out of the penthouse. ....... Chapter 11: Time to loosen [Present day] ¡°MAGNIFICENT!!!¡± Vlad shouted, impressed, as he held the smartphone in his hand, staring at it with great interest. ¡°You''re telling me this small device can communicate across countries and continents? Not only that, but with it, I can find information on practically everything I want?!!¡± He said in astonishment and a great deal of excitement. He looked the smartphone over, carefully turning it over front and back as he scrutinised it trying to find its secrets ¡°What sort of magic was used to create such a thing? Who was the magic genius that did it?¡± The thing on his hand not only made letters obsolete, but it also made libraries obsolete; plus, with this, instead of having no proper way to communicate with his wives when they were out of range, he could simply use this smartphone to ascertain their whereabouts. This thing was beyond useful. ¡°I''m afraid no magic was used to create that device, in fact, no mages were involved in making it, the cell phone was invented by a human with zero magic abilities¡± Dominic explained with a small smile on his face, the astonishment in Vlad''s face was something he believed he''d never witness. ¡°Do not lie to me Dominic, while I can acknowledge that humans are a crafty species, they have managed to survive this long with creatures like us that feed on them but such a thing can never be done without help from the magically gifted¡± Vlad denied it, He in no way thought humans were incapable of creating great things the features of humans that he respected were their ingenuity and spirit however for creatures that couldn''t wield magic without help, he found it hard to believe that they could create such a brilliant and revolutionary device without the aid of something or someone magically gifted. ¡°I''m afraid that is the truth, my lord; in the past 200 hundred years, humans have managed to make a multitude of things that one would think impossible without magic, yet they did.¡± ¡°I have to see how this is made myself, no words will convince me till I witness how it''s created¡± He said, tossing the phone at Dominic and sitting back down on the couch; he simply did not want to accept that such a brilliant device worked completely independently from the supernatural. If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement. Even the so-called S.E.E organisation that his wives told him about worked because of humans using magic; without magic, humans were simply no match for the supernatural. ¡°I understand my lord, I''ll try and find the factory and request a tour¡± Dominic said that although he supposed that it would be unbelievable to anyone who has yet to fully experience the world as it is right now, he didn''t expect Vlad to be so hard to convince of something so trivial. ¡°You do that.¡± He said as he lounged on the couch and let Dominic continue his babble about the history of the last 200 years; it was interesting to find out about all the things that happened in that time frame; a lot of wars happened, which was typical of every species that can think. Unfortunately, their study session was cut short as Elizabeth burst through the room, ducking from the ice spears thrown at her head. ¡°Oh, come on, Val! It''s just Ice cream, I didn¡¯t even eat it all¡± She pleaded as she flew around the room, dodging the eerily sharp spears of Ice that sought to impale her. It was unfortunate that her pleas went unheard as the ice queen only responded with more spears, her wrath would not be quelled. Their sudden arrival had quickly turned the room chaotic, with Dominic doing his best not to get impaled while Vlad simply sat on his couch, already waiting for this spat to end; this was typical of the two, so he was used to it; in fact, he found it to be oddly nostalgic. ¡° Val, please be reasonable, I didn¡¯t even finish it¡± Elizabeth tried to reason, but that fell on deaf ears as another spear of ice was launched in her direction, forcing her to avoid it. *Crash!!* She was quick to duck down and let the ice spear crash onto the wall and shatter into pieces. ¡°I didn''t even give you permission to eat It, now pay with your blood, you bitch!¡± Vlad couldn''t help but note that her voice was a bit more angry than she usually would be at Elizabeth¡¯s antics. ¡°It''s just ice cream, it''s not a big deal, or are you still salty that I got to him first¡± Elizabeth responded with a cocky grin on her face, only amplifying Valerie¡¯s rage; although one could never tell by looking at her face, the blue-eyed vampire jumped into the air, this time planning to use her hands to choke the bitch, since the ice spears had proved ineffective. As the two continued their spat, Vlad turned his head towards the door and quirked a brow before smiling, it seemed that he had visitors. ¡°I think it would be a good time for me to loosen my bones, don''t you think?¡± He asked the half-vampire that was being used as a shield by Elizabeth to protect herself from Valerie¡¯s wrath; the whole situation was quite comical in his eyes, eliciting an amused smile from his face. ¡°What!¡± The two women shouted in unison as they heard him speak, with Elizabeth quickly jumping over both Dominic and Valerie and grasping Vlad''s arm. ¡°Oh I know the perfect place for our date, plus you need some new clothes, I know just the store that has the clothes you¡¯d like¡± Elizabeth said as she clung to his arm; however, Valerie didn''t react to her actions as she was able to quickly notice what Vlad was alluding to. ¡°Oh it''s not anything like that my dear, We have guests so I thought I''d greet them personally¡± Vlad explained, causing Elizabeth to raise a brow before focusing her senses and realising what Vlad was talking about. ¡°There''s no need to take of them yourself M''lord I can¨C¡± ¡°No, no. Dominic, it''s imperative that I stretch my arms and legs, a good battle will help me reinvigorate myself¡± He informed, the two wives shared a glance and decided not to oppose him on the issue; despite him not being at full power just yet, it would be good to have him experience battle; after all, it has been two centuries, and he needs to re©\learn how to move his body properly. ¡°If that''s how you feel, then no one here has a right to stop you, so we''ll let you deal with it, darling¡± Valerie informed as she slumped on the couch, Elizabeth gave a nod to her words and joined her on the couch. Vlad exited the room with slight eagerness and as he did so, Elizabeth spoke to their half-vampire butler ¡°Dominic bring us something to eat while we wait¡± Dominic gave a bow and exited the room going to the Kitchen, the mood had switched to serious in an instant, they were just fighting moments ago yet the sat in silence together like nothing ever happened. .... A/N: hope you enjoyed the chapter. Chapter 12: Light Exercise ¡.. The castle was located between two mountains and surrounded by a large forest and a single road that led out of the forest and into the nearest city. Currently atop one of those two mountains, a man had a camp set up with a bonfire as he sat on a chair sipping tea. There was an earpiece on his left ear. He took a glance down the mountain and saw his hunters rapidly descend the mountain Heading straight for the forest below. [So Pops what''s the deal with this place? Are we here to raid a den of vampires or are we here to eliminate a specific monster?] [Are you serious Jay? The debriefing wasn''t even that long] Two voices came from Mr. Ruckfil¡¯s earpiece; The first one was masculine, while the second one was feminine; it was the masculine voice which caused him to heave a sigh before speaking. ¡°Were you not listening to the debriefing, Johnny? We''re here to eliminate a specific Vampire. You already know the face of this vampire.¡± He informed, and Johnny laughed before apologising for his forgetfulness. Ruckfil sighed as he shook his head; this request given to him by Alcina prompted him to bring out the hunters he thought were best qualified to handle the vampire with himself as a backup should they not be able to handle it. ¡°Don''t lose focus, Johny; that goes for the two of you, too, Annabelle and Lucy.¡± All three answered with a clear ¡°yes sir¡± reassuring him. ¡°The reward for this will benefit the family greatly¡± He received another round of ¡°Yessir¡± to affirm his words. As he watched he couldn''t help but think about the chances of success this team had. The team was made of three A-rank hunters; Johnny was a swordsman who specialised in a variety of styles but primarily used dual-wielding. He was a double-certified hunter, and that meant he had survived encounters with Level 5 supernatural creatures and not only survived but walked away without losing a limb. ¡°Johnny, did you hear that? Don''t fuck this up by being reckless¡±Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere. Annabelle spoke; she was the second member of the team, an A+ rank hunter. She specialised mostly in hand-to-hand combat, and she liked to use brute force; she was also a certified hunter, although despite being stronger than Johnny, she hadn''t had as many encounters with Level 5 creatures. ¡°Oh please, when have I ever been reckless?¡± ¡°You punched the guild master last week because he wouldn''t let you ascend rank¡± Lucy answered, her voice calm and collected. She was the third member of the team, another A+ rank hunter; however, unlike the other two, she wasn¡¯t certified, but she was no less strong. She specialised more in stealth, speed and projectile weapons, Which was evident by her slender frame; she was like an assassin. By all accounts, they should have at least a 90 percent chance of success, plus with Ruckfil himself as back up those chances go up to 95%, of course, in the event the information Alcina gave him is outdated then he''d need to retreat and chances of retreat are dependent on how much damage they can do in a short period. The team entered the forest, and they immediately took their position; Lucy was quick to jump into the trees and blended in with the darkness of the night. Annabelle decreased her speed while Johnny took the lead. However, they were forced to immediately stop as the door to the mansion opened, and a tall figure came out and stepped onto the front lawn; both Annabelle and Johnny quickly used the trees to hide themselves. Their unspoken plan was an ambush, with Johnny going in first drawing focus and allowing the other two to assess the enemy, depending on the success or failure of his ambush. However, the enemy getting out right as they arrived made it clear they were expecting an attack, meaning Johnny and his team needed to change tactics. ¡°There''s no need to hide, show yourself¡± Vlad demanded as he felt the cool breeze of the night brush against his face; at present, he wore a white button-up shirt with black slacks and leather shoes. His short ear-length hair flowed in the wind, and his red eyes seemed to glow an ethereal glow. Footsteps sounded from within the forest as a lone figure came out, it was a tall and lanky man with blonde hair cut into a clean taper fade. There were two swords strapped to the right side of his waist. ¡°Humph, at least you''re brave enough to show yourself, kudos to you.¡± Vlad praised as his eyes appraised the man, observing his gait, gaze and as well as his clothes. ¡°When a man calls you out, it''s only right to respond; otherwise, are you really a man?¡± Johnny said with a smirk on his face, his hand resting on his swords, and his sky blue eyes glowed, a telltale sign that his blessed contract was active. ¡°If those are the rules you choose to live by, then I suppose you are correct; while I appreciate honesty and bravery to a degree, I don¡¯t believe there''s anything erroneous with being a coward and a deceiver.¡± Vlad informed. One can be honest and courageous all they wanted; however, cowards survived, and liars got what they wanted. It was honestly quite absurd how the things that were discouraged were the ones that were beneficial the most to the individual. ¡®I suppose that''s the twisted nature God chose to create this world¡¯ Vlad thought to himself while also being reminded that he needed to visit the church; 200 years without praying is certainly treading into heretical territory. ¡°We''ll have to disagree on that Mr Vampire, cowards betray and liars manipulate, and I can''t accept people with deceit in their hearts¡± Johnny said as he found it unsurprising that a vampire would have no problem with lies and deceit. ¡°Amusing, quite amusing but I''d much rather you do the thing you came here to do, philosophical debates do get boring after all¡± ¡°You sure you wouldn''t rather hear yourself talk? Your kind is quite self-absorbed.¡± Vlad let out a chuckle as he heard the human''s words; he was quite the daring one, definitely his favourite type. They''ve always had such refreshing blood. ¡°If you were speaking to my wife, then I''m sure she would have chewed your ear off. She does love her voice, but then again, it is quite a lovely voice, so I personally don''t mind.¡± Vlad said with a smile on his face; Elizabeth had the most pleasing voice amongst his wives; it''s a pity she didn''t follow a career as a songstress. Johnny frowned. ¡°Are you flexing the fact that you''re married? Don''t look down on me just because you get to fuck some bitch¨C¡± Johnny¡¯s personal hang-ups about being single spewed out; however, he was unable to finish that sentence as he was forced to parry back the hand that threatened to pierce through his chest. *tink* Like steel against steel, Johnny uses his short sword to parry Vlad''s hand to the side before quickly jumping back, avoiding another attack by Vlad''s left hand that threatened to bisect him to pieces. ¡°Struck a nerve? I suppose you aren¡¯t a heartless beast after all¡± He mocked with a grin on his face. ..... A/N: Fight scene Incoming. Chapter 13: It was already over tink* Like steel against steel, Johnny uses his short sword to parry Vlad''s hand to the side before quickly jumping back, avoiding another attack by Vlad''s left hand that threatened to bisect him to pieces. ¡°Struck a nerve? I suppose you aren¡¯t a heartless beast after all¡± He mocked with a grin on his face, Blessed contracts were an incredible boon to humanity, things that allowed regular humans like himself to contend with stupidly powerful creatures like the one before him. There were two types of blessed contracts: a skill contract and a talent contract; a skill contract is a contract that allows an individual to either control, conjure or manipulate an existing property of nature, like allowing someone to control fire or ice. A talent contract is a contract that enhances one''s innate talents or enhances one''s body, like enhancing one''s durability, strength, speed and even regeneration and mind. Within this particular contract, there are sub-contracts like a weapons contract, which is the type of contract Johnny had made. A weapon¡¯s contract essentially compliments the skills you already have, if you''re a swordsman then with a weapons contract you can make it so that whenever you''re holding a sword your speed and power increase by a certain margin to help when cutting something or make it so as long as you have a sword in your hand you will be able to match the speed and strength of your opponent. There are a variety of things you can do with it. There are limits, of course, but depending on the quality of your contract, you can get quite a lot of power out of it, and of course, much like any contra, there''s a cost, something you must give up. ¡°Would you let another man call your wife a bitch? I doubt it, so yes you indeed struck a nerve, human¡± Vlad responded as he closed and opened his hand, feeling the lack of strength from it. He figured it was because his muscles had not gotten much use in 200 years so his body was out of sync. ¡°huh, why would I be upset for someone else''s sake?¡± Johnny said, but unfortunately, he never received an answer as Vlad lunged at him faster than before. His hand mimicking a blade and his nails elongated and sharp. He went for a thrust towards Johnny''s chest, but the young man quickly sidestepped, avoiding the attack and immediately countered by swinging his blade upwards, planning to slice off the arm of the vampire. You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story. However, Vlad wasn''t that easy; using the same arm that he planned to pierce Johnny''s chest with, he grabbed the blade, halting it mid-swing. *Shi* His hand sizzled, like steak on the grill, but he ignored it and used his other hand, which also had sharp, pointy nails; he swung it horizontally, planning to slice open the human¡¯s neck. Seeing the coming attack, Johnny ducked down, dropping a mean squat, before drawing his second blade, the sword slid off its scabbard. *Shhink!* With sparks flying out, almost as if it was being sharpened as it was being drawn, with a swift motion it went to bisect the vampire¡¯s torso. Seeing this, Vlad was quick to act; he grabbed the man¡¯s shoulder, lifted himself off the ground and flipped over Johnny¡¯s head; however, just as he was about to attack while mid-air, a projectile silently flew out of the trees. This forced him to quickly use his hands and throw himself further away from Johnny, dodging the projectile, he landed back in the same spot he was in before the fight. The quick exchange ended with only himself receiving any damage; his shirt now had a horizontal cut where his stomach should be, and his hand felt like it had been plunged into the roaring fire. ¡°Your companions seem content with helping as little as possible¡± He knew two others were hiding in the forest, the one who shot that projectile and the one who was currently on standby. One couldn''t tell just from his face but Vlad was a bit displeased or rather he couldn''t tell if the human was keeping up with him due to this blessed contract his wives told him about or if he wasn''t moving as fast as he wanted to due to a lack of practice ¡°I don''t particularly need their help, so they''ll get in my way¡± ¡°How ungrateful, or perhaps you think you can fight me by your lonesome? I am unappreciative of being underestimated¡± Vlad informed with a slight frown on his. This was just a loosening of his bones, but he expected to end it quickly. It seemed these humans were stronger than he anticipated; he didn¡¯t particularly like that. With a displeased look on his face, Vlad then leaked his aura, and Johnny was quick to feel the chills run over his body and notice the eerily red glow of the vampire¡¯s eyes. It was in a split second that the mood quickly changed in seriousness, Annabelle was the first to notice as she quickly revealed herself, surprising Johnny. She launched herself towards her foe, planning to quickly dispatch him before he could do anything, her honey-brown eyes glowed as she moved at speeds greater than the eye could see ¡°Anna wh¨C¡± He wasn''t able to finish that sentence as whistling bullets flew out of the trees in succession, all coming from different angles. ¡®Good instincts¡¯ Vlad praised as he lunged forward, dodging the projectiles with ease and evading Annabelle, making his way towards Johnny, who had been distracted by Annabelle suddenly revealing herself. Vlad, however, was unable to make it to his target as the bullets he had dodged exploded, releasing a high-pitched banshee-like screech that burst his ear drums and forced him to stop dead in his tracks. Annabelle acted and moved with speed faster than a bullet; she arrived before her stunned foe, delivering a powerful gut punch, launching the vampire off his feet before quickly grabbing him by the leg as he flew up and slamming him back down, creating a small crater on the ground. ¡®WHAT!!¡¯ Vlad''s eyes opened in shock at the suddenness of what just happened; he felt his body hit the ground hard before rounds of bullets lodged themselves into his body, each one burning his insides as it pierced his skin. Like tiny balls of fire were being injected into his blood, the bullets would slow his regeneration. He grits his teeth, stifling a groan as his body is assaulted by a fury of punches, each crushing his bones as they were delivered with the strength of more than a few tons. Annabelle was relentless in her assault as her fiery red hair swayed to the side with each punch before quickly jumping back, grabbing Johnny as she fled to avoid the coming explosion. In a second, another projectile left the trees; this time, it was larger, about the size of a shotgun bullet; it lodged itself on Vlad''s chest before exploding with the force of a C4 bomb, splattering his body into bloody chunks. The two fighters left out sighs of relief, the bloody chunks of vampire meat splattered against nearby objects. ¡°That was a close one¡± Annabelle stated to the still somewhat confused Johnny that if she and Lucy hadn''t acted, Johnny might have died. This wasn''t part of the plan, but regardless, the vampire was dead, so it was fine. ¡°You owe us for this¡± She said as she patted the man on the shoulder with a big grin on her face, a grin that only annoyed the young man Chapter 14: It was already over ¡°You owe us for this¡± She said as she patted the man on the shoulder with a big grin on her face, a grin that only annoyed the young man. Or at least that¡¯s what happened in Johnny¡¯s head as the life drained from his eyes, Vlad''s arm had pierced straight through his chest, and exited out the back. Annabelle was on the floor pinned down with his foot, crushing her chest with considerable force and She made the conscious choice to remain still and not tempt the vampire into crushing her Or perhaps she was stunned by the arm that was through Johnny¡¯s chest and the fact that Lucy''s head was twisted in a full 180¡ã creating a sick image of her looking forward as if normal; the skin of her neck was stretched and twisted, with small bones peeking through the skin. ¡°Interesting dream you had there, but if you thought I would be such easy prey then death is the correct outcome for you¡± Vlad spoke as he tossed the dead body to the side, letting it hit the ground with a dull *thud* Annabelle¡¯s shocked eyes moved to look at the body before turning to look at her foe. ¡°I would have thought you''d have stronger immunity to hypnosis, but a quick glance in my eyes and you friend was already under my illusion¡± He said with disappointment in his tone, from what he was told of this S.E.E organisation, he expected more but then again this was his desired result, after all why should he expect any more from the weak. ¡®I do hope they aren''t all this weak¡¯ He thought to himself, already contradicting his own feelings. His eyes turned towards Annabelle looking her straight in the eyes and she looked back at him, but there was no fear in her eyes, despite both her comrades having been killed she had moved on from the shock and now looked at her foe with steel and fury in her eyes. Vlad pursed his lips in contemplation, Valerie was the type to play with her food, something she claimed was beneficial to her as it made sure she never declined in strength, perhaps taking a page out of her book would serve him well. Serve him well in the sense that he''ll have something to look forward to in the future should everything else get a bit boring plus it will help him get a grasp of how powerful humans can get. Using his foot, he lifted it off her chest before quickly stomping on her arm crushing her bones and eliciting a groan of pain from the woman beneath him. ¡°hm? I expected a scream but I suppose you''ve suffered enough injuries to tolerate a broken arm.¡± He said with amusement in his tone before stepping off her arm taking steps back allowing her time to get back up. Annabelle took the chance, rolled off the ground and stood on her feet, she kept her eyes on the vampire, her fury telling her to attack but she was not a fool. She knew full well she couldn''t handle this alone however she had a single question in her mind. Support the author by searching for the original publication of this novel. With the way his foot was pressed against her chest he could have killed her easily without any effort, just as he did with Lucy and Johnny so the question of why was she spared? came to her mind, what game was this creature playing? ¡°Why?¡± However as she asked that, another figure emerged from within the forest. ¡°Don''t try to find reason within their actions Annabelle, they''re monsters, retreat¡± Ruckfil spoke as he kneeled before Lucy''s dead body and setting it on fire and moving to do the same with Johnny ¡°Pops what do you mean? I can''t leave you here!¡± She protested as she saw Johnny¡¯s body catch fire, Ruckfil turned to her, his face solemn but stoic. Vlad observed their interaction like an unconcerned third party. ¡°Don''t worry kid, I won''t die here, I have an ace up my sleeve, so Just retreat I''ll make sure he doesn''t pursue.¡± ¡°But¨C¡± ¡°Jesus Christ Annabelle!! Are you a child? Fucking run!¡± He shouted with an explosive anger and slightly shocked Annabelle but with slight trepidation she heeded his command and took off into the forest, only taking a glance behind her as she ran full speed. ¡°There''s little reason to worry, I was already planning to let her go.¡± Vlad informed with slight amusement on his face, he could tell by the aura, the man was leaking that he was strong, what amused him was that the man was goading him into a silent battle. ¡°My name Adrian Alaric Ruckfil, a pleasure to meet you¡± He introduced himself, a silent battle was essentially a battle of auras and to understand it one must understand what aura is. Aura in the simplest terms was the objective danger you pose to any number of people mixed with your blood lust, objective danger means the amount of damage you can cause to people or property when at full strength without any aid from a third party, mix that up with your blood lust or your willingness to exercise your power to kill or cause damage and that equals aura. To give an example it would be similar to seeing a thug at night, the fear you feel in their presence is their aura, because you are aware they can kill you and are most likely willing to kill you. The average person can''t control their aura because they''re usually not aware of it, but with practice or innate talent one can easily control it without issue. A silent battle is a battle of either trying to figure out how powerful someone is by leaking small amounts of your aura to prompt them to leak theirs and then go back and forth leaking greater and greater amounts of aura until you''ve gotten a good understanding of your opponent¡¯s power. Another form of silent battle is by fully releasing all your aura in one fell swoop, displaying your strength and power clearly and waiting to see if your opponent can match it. This way of silent battle usually ends the fight before it begins because if someone has greater aura than you then you can''t win against them of course this is not true for everyone but it holds true for the majority. One can choose to forego the silent battle and just fight without revealing their aura at all. ¡°The pleasure is all mine Mr. Ruckfil, after all since I awoke I''ve been needing to exercise a bit, so this was quite a welcomed visit¡± The vampire said with a small grin on his face, both his expression and face left Ruckfil feeling a twinge of anger both at this vampire, Alcina and himself. The only reason he accepted this was because he needed the blood of a particularly powerful vampire, he wanted to find a way to gain greater strength without having to rely on the blessed contracts. It would be a great boon to his family if he could be able to find alternatives to the contract and vampire blood was one of the ways he thought would be a solution, And now thanks to his decision one of the best teams he has ever cultivated were practically toyed with and killed and the vampire had the nerve to call it exercise. ¡°I''m glad you managed to get some light exercise in, but would you be willing to allow me to leave?¡± He asked curiously, the vampire was not responding to his attempts at a silent battle and the information Alcina gave him was incorrect as the file stipulated that this vlad was an A+ rank by the guild¡¯s standards but that was false. Unfortunately right now he couldn''t get an accurate read on him so fighting was out of the question especially considering the vampire wasn''t responding to his silent battle attempts. ¡°HAHA! fancy yourself a jester? why would I let such a thing happen?¡± ¡°Because it was Lady Alcina that sent me to you¡± He said with an unmistaken confidence, He was certain that Alcina had some type of relationship with this vampire, otherwise why else would she want him dead? so he was taking a gamble right now, unfortunately if it works that means the thick vampire mommy will be on his ass. Vlad''s eyes squinted in suspicion, as he scrutinised his face, he didn¡¯t particularly sense that the man was lying but if what he said is true then why would¡ ¡°Why would she do such a thing¡± He asked, the suspicion still present on his face. Ruckfil silently let out a sigh, this vampire said, ¡°since I awoke¡± meaning it hadn''t been active for a while. ¡°I tried refusing but I simply couldn''t, she said you were at your weakest so it would be easier to kill you at this point in time¡± ¡°ah I see, so she''s mad about that, typical Alcina¡± ¡®She really was the type to lash out in such way when she''s angry¡¯ He thought with no small amount of fondness, Vlad figured she knew these people wouldn''t be enough to kill him but it would be enough to let him know that she''s angry at him. ¡°Where is she now?¡± ¡°Can you promise you''ll allow us to retreat without you or anyone related/ working under you pursuing us, at least until we''re out of this country?¡± He asked, he might be asking too much but he knew it was best to be specific and leave no room for an interpretation. ¡°If you can give me information on her whereabouts then yes, you are free to retreat and I won''t pursue.¡± ¡°Thank you¡± And so Ruckfil divulged all the information he knew about Alcina¡¯s whereabouts even mentioning the fact that she started her own blood farm. ....
