《The Necro Empress》
Chapter 1-Reincarnation Gone Wrong
The relentless battle between humans and demons has spanned countless generations, continuing without respite. As the centuries pass, the struggle for dominance remains fierce, with neither side willing to give an inch.
The indomitable spirit of humans has been the only barrier preventing the demons from achieving total victory. Despite this, the demons have seized a staggering 65 percent of Assiorah. However, every force has its limits, and the humans'' resolve is weakening. They are in dire need of help, and time is running out. They have one desperate measure left.
A spell known only as the Reincarnation Spell.
Beneath the majestic night sky, six figures stand in a vast, open grassy area the size of a football field. In the darkness, a golden magic circle glows as brightly as a lantern.
Four of the men wear white hooded robes that obscure their faces in shadow. The other two are clad in full body armor. The shorter, older man wears silver armor and a golden crown atop his wavy dark grey hair, holding a sword in his hand. The taller, younger man wears white armor and a full-face helm with gold trim, featuring a beast''s face with two horns pointing skyward. His white scabbard rests horizontally on his lower back. All six men''s attire gleams in the night as they prepare for the Reincarnation Spell.
"Is this far enough, my lord?" the taller man asks.
"Yes. Good work, Elas. We don''t know if this Reincarnation Spell will even work. If something goes wrong, at least no one else will be caught in it."
Elas sighs. He wants to protest the dangerous situation for his king but refrains. They had already argued about it, and Elas eventually gave in, bringing his king along. King Reth and he had debated whether Reth should join this potentially deadly mission. S-rank Adventurers in Dugria could have protected the king during the current demon invasion. But no, Lord Reth insisted on coming. If the Reincarnation Spell goes wrong and Reth dies...
No.
Elas won''t let that happen. He''s also an S-rank Adventurer, powerful and experienced in combat, with formidable magical abilities. For example, his fire magic at full power can engulf an entire city in flames, and that''s not even his strongest element. He will be prepared for whatever happens.
"Alright." Elas begins, looking at one of the hooded mages. "So, how many are we expected to get?"
The mage looks up at him, but the darkness still obscures his face despite the moonlight. "We are confident in our abilities, oh great knight. With our power, I''d say five reincarnated heroes."
"Five, huh." Reth strokes his thick grey beard. "If they are as strong as that scroll hyped them up to be, then five will just be overkill..." The old man then grows a sinister side grin. "And overkill is what we need. Proceed."
"Yes, my lord." All four mages say in unison before extending their hands toward the golden magic circle five meters in front of them. They begin chanting in an unknown language in perfect harmony, almost as if one voice is speaking. As the incantation continues, the magic circle glows brighter and brighter.
Stolen novel; please report.
"IT''S WORKING!!!" Reth punches the air.
The light from the magic circle grows so bright that the sigil''s details are hidden in the intense brightness, covering the area in a warm golden light. But just as it reaches its peak, the light is sucked back into the circle as if drawn by a powerful vacuum, making a swoop-like sound.
Everything returns to how it was before the chanting.
"Uh..." Elas says, turning to the mage on his left. "Did it fail?"
"Wait!" a mage screams. "It''s turning black! Why is it turning black?!"
Elas whips his head to the magic circle. It''s just as the mage said, the sigil has turned dark black with violet outlines. "I guess that wasn''t supposed to hap-"
His speech is cut short when he feels an ominous presence from the circle, now seeping dark smoke from its center.
Something is coming... He thought. Something powerful and evil. Oh No!!
"My Lord!!"
KABOOM!!!!!
In a millisecond, Elas creates a white magical shield that envelops everyone, saving them from the massive explosion originating from the now black sigil. The discharge reaches a 50-mile radius, destroying everything in its wake and disintegrating trees and grass below. The wind pressure is twice as potent as an atomic bomb, but Elas resists its force effortlessly.
"What the hell happened?!" Reth screams to be heard over the roaring combustion. "What went wrong?!"
"I-I don''t know. Someone put dark magic in the spell at the last moment. It was a success. There were going to be five heroes reincarnated to our world, but someone manipulated it, forcing evil mana into the enchantment and redirecting the spell elsewhere."
"Who did it?!"
"And if it''s been redirected to another place..." Elas says, staring at the black sigil. "Who is about to be summoned?"
As if in response, the explosion ends quickly, and once the black smoke settles, lying on her back where the magic circle was, is the most beautiful woman the six men has ever seen. With the help of the light from Elas magic shield, they can clearly see who is resting before them. Her beauty would make elves self-conscious. Despite her ears having pointy ends like an elf''s, they know she is not of that species.
She possesses flawless smooth light grey skin and long, deep black hair. Her slim, athletic, and curvaceous figure is elegantly draped in a simple, yet refined long off-the-shoulders black dress. The dress features a V-shaped open front, revealing her bare chest and a hint of her breasts, along with her toned abdomen. A necklace adorned with a black spiked ball emblem rests around her neck. On her feet, she wears black heels, complemented by a golden anklet on her left ankle.
Her face was a masterpiece of sharp, angular lines. The high, prominent cheekbones caught the moonlight, casting soft shadows that accentuated the sculpted planes of her face. Her jawline is firm and well-defined. This jawline frames a mouth with full lips that has a perfectly shaped Cupid''s bow. Her nose is straight and sleek. The woman''s eyes would be the focal point of her striking features had they not been closed, but they are surrounded by dark eyelashes with thick, arched brows above them.
Elas felt a serene and elegant aura emanating from her. Even in slumber, she exuded a grace that was almost otherworldly. Yet, despite being mesmerized by her beauty, he remained vigilant. Her magical energy was palpable, a force so potent that it dwarfed his own. She was undeniably powerful¡ªfar more so than he.
Her allure was magnetic, drawing him in irresistibly. But alongside this attraction was a growing sense of dread, the same foreboding that had gripped him before the explosion. Only now, it was more intense, like an unseen weight pressing down on him, threatening to crush him at any moment.
It was her. She was the source of that ominous feeling, a stark reminder of the vast difference in their powers. His instincts were torn, caught between the awe she inspired and the urge to flee before she awakened. That''s the crux of it.
He doesn''t want her to wake up. Because if he, unfortunately, must fight her, it will end with his death.
Chapter 2- She Who Has Awoken
"This-This is bad, my lord." One of the mages pulled back his hood, revealing a young man in his early twenties with dark brown hair and sweat beading on his forehead. "She''s too strong! There''s no limit to her magical energy! If she wakes up..."
"You can sense this even while she''s asleep? I thought mana was dormant during this time."
"It is, my lord, but she''s just in a league of her own."
"Who is she?" Elas demanded, one hand extended to maintain the shield while the other gripped the hilt of his sword.
Please, for the Love of Enani, DON''T wake up!
None of the mages answered.
"So, no one knows who she is," Reth said harshly. It sounded more like a statement than a question. And a forceful one, as if he''s disappointed by the silence. "At least one of you knows who she is since someone went out of their way to summon her. Speak, or I will have Elas kill all of you for treason."
The threat got them talking.
"Pl-please, my lord." one of them stammered. " I don''t know who she is, and I couldn''t have been the one to summon her as I can''t use dark magic. It''s what the demons use."
"That''s correct, which means." Reth gives all four mages menacing glares. " Or one of you could have done the Ritual to access demonic mana. Unless one of you confesses or the demon reveals itself, collateral damage must be ensured."
"Must be a Hrekdroog, my lord. They are known for being able to transform into other species."
Reth scoffs. "Hmph. It must''ve followed us out of Bellwarf. They are Threat level Gold. You should be able to handle it, right."
"Of course." Elas drew his massive sword, its blade nearly as tall as he was. "I may be the weakest S-rank, but I can handle a Hrekdroog. Reveal yourself, demon."
"If no one speaks up. All of you will die."
"Please, my lord, show mercy," the mage who had removed his hood pleaded. "Be reasonable. It won''t reveal itself under simple threats."
"Neither of us has gone through the Ritual since I don''t sense any dark mana coming from anyone." He points to the sleeping woman. "But her. She has- She has enough mana to-"
"Dark magic was put into the Reincarnation Spell for this to happen, isn''t that correct." Lord Reth said, interrupting the mage. Unfazed by the terror on his face.
The mage lowers his head in defeat and nods. "But my lord. -"
"This is the only way. I can''t afford any of you returning with us. We don''t know if this woman is friend or foe, and we have no time for diplomacy."
The air quickly thickened, and everyone suddenly locked in place as if struck by ice magic. Elas''s breath hitched, his pulse roaring in his ears. The moment they had all feared had occurred.
The woman had woken up.
Her eyelids fluttered open. Her thoughts swirled in a haze, fogged and groggy. The grogginess clung to her, a residue of a slumber so deep it felt eternal.
But to the foreign soul now inhabiting her body¡ªa man, this rest was only a few minutes.
"Ugh..." The woman groaned, lifting herself upright, and put a hand on her head. "Mmmh."
So, it''s finished. He did it. The woman thought. Finally, I can start my new life. I''m officially the main character of a story now. But what''s this?
There''s an unusual heaviness around his chest and inner thigh area. So, he looks down and sees a pair of large, perky breasts.
What the hell? He turned me into a chick. He could''ve warned me, at least. But these are some big knockers. My guess they are D''s or Double D''s?
Well, that just ruined his plan for reproduction.
Our protagonist wanted to fuck women, not be one. He had asked that fucker to be the most powerful necromancer, inspired by his favorite Shadow Lord from a manhwa he''d read twenty times. But for that bastard to¡ª
Wait. He didn''t find out why there was also heaviness between his thighs.
He raised an eyebrow at what he saw.
Um. Is that a bulge?
Yes. There''s a bulge in the dress. He has a dick, and not just a dick only but also testicles. Judging by how weighty they both feel, they are bigger than when he had his male body. Even while flaccid, he can tell that his new penis is quite girthy.
If you are going to give me a dick, why not just put me in the body of a man? He, or now she, sighs quietly. There must be a reason why he put me in this body.
Suddenly, a purple rectangle semi-translucent screen appeared in front of him.
|
Welcome to your new world, Assiorah. You are now Vargha, part of the Necromancer race in the Demon species. They are called Nenniaidae. The Nenniaidae may be the smallest among all Demons, being six feet tall, but they are feared by all who knows of them, the Demon Lord included. They have both the human male and female sexual organs, so you don''t have to worry. You are exponentially strong now, so feel free to have fun in your new body. It is beyond durable, and your mana is limitless, so don''t fret about running out.

After reading the message, Vargha looked at the x located at the top right of the screen.
"Exit," she said softly. The screen disappeared when the word came from her lips. But despite Vargha saying it to herself, she was just loud enough for Elas and the others to hear.
The tall knight gulps hard. "It told us to leave without even looking at us. My lord, I won''t be able to defeat this thing alone. We need to get out of here."
"Shit! Okay, but not before you kill these mages. We must resolve this."
"No, my lord! Please!¡± one mage cried, slowly backing away. " I am not a Hrekdroog!"
"L-look!" another one added. "There''s no one else with dark magic here. I''ll-"
"No." Reth cut him off before he could try to prove himself. "Time''s up. Go ahead, Elas. Finish them off. We''ll know who the Hrekdroog is once it''s dead."
All four mages ran in the opposite direction, only to collide with Elas''s magic shield like a wall.
Realizing they couldn''t escape, the mages turned to face their impending death, hands raised in supplication. Two of the four dropped to their knees, hands in a praying position.
"I beg you, oh great knight. Please don''t kill me. My family is waiting for me."
Well, that''s something. Nenniaidae. What a damn tongue twister. So, my new name is Vargha. Cool. The message confirmed I have a penis. But also a vagina. Doesn''t that make me a Futanari? Eh. I have no problem with that. At least I can still fuck. Though I will apologize in advance, miss vagina. You will be very lonely.
Then, another much smaller screen appears soon after the previous one has vanished.
|
Would you like the penis bulge to remain visible? Yes or No.
|
Huh? What is it even asking me? Well, it would be inconvenient and quite pervy just to be walking around with a huge ass bulge in whatever I wear.
"No."
|
Are you sure? This action cannot be changed.
|
Again. It would be weird to walk around with a bulge. I will get unwanted stares and may even get arrested for sexual harassment or public indecency.
"Yes."
Immediately, it got so much lighter down there, and the bulge disappeared.
|
Don''t worry. You still have your penis and testicles. They will return whenever you undress.
|
Thank you.
Is she talking to herself now? Doesn''t matter. Since she isn''t paying us attention, I must finish this quickly and teleport to Dugria. There''s a demonic invasion to deal with. Elas turned his attention back to the mages, stepping closer with each stride. His grip on the sword''s handle tightened the nearer he got. "It''s the king''s order. I must kill you."
Before any of the helpless mages could scream, in one swift motion, Elas decapitated all four. Their bodies dropped to the grass like sacks of potatoes, their heads bouncing off the shield before landing on the ground, blood gushing from the wounds.
|
With that, all your abilities will be shown to you shortly. Have a fantastic new life. Now kick ass and take souls. Literally.
|
Thousands upon thousands of screens of her abilities appeared before her. They formed a wall that reached higher than the tallest skyscraper. But two piqued his interest.

Death Magic
|
As a Nenniaidae, you have the most destructive type of mana at your disposal. Under no circumstance will your magic falter to any defensive move. If your magic reaches the target, your victim(s) cannot heal from it if they''ve survived.
|
This is just overkill. She stares at the black orb of pure energy hovering 2 meters above her open palm. It was about as big as a basketball.
"Ah. So, my magic is energy-based rather than summoning spells, like fire and such." It''s very similar to ki blasts from one of the greatest anime ever. One he has been watching since 8 years old. RIP to the mighty legend who created such a masterpiece.
"Miss?"
"Huh?" She closed her hand, and the ball of mana dissipates, and looked to her right.
She finally decided to analyze her surroundings. Vargha looked at Elas, who called her, with those almond-shaped and deep-set grey eyes with slit pupils. Then she turned those seductive eyes to the entire setting, and what she saw was absolute carnage.
It looks like an atomic bomb was dropped here.
She, Elas, Reth, and the dead mages stood in the middle of a devastating crater. They occupied the part of the ground untouched by the explosion from Vargha''s power being released. They stood tall within the 50-mile crater like two pillars, a five-meter space separating the three survivors.
"What happened here?"
There seems to be nothing that isn¡¯t alluring about this woman. Her words flowed like water over a sheet of velvet. A voice that is soothing and rich. One that linger in the mind, leaving a lasting impression long after the words had faded.
"Oh, don''t be afraid." her command was unintentionally enchanting, almost hypnotic. "I''m not your enemy. I just want to know what caused this crater."
She can''t see the taller man''s face due to the helm, but the older man looks terrified. He''s trying to look fearless, but she can see the fear in his eyes. He even swiped the sweat that gleamed on his forehead and swallowed dry spit. His eyes look like they¡¯re about to pop out of his head. But upon hearing what Vargha said, they relaxed significantly.
The amount of relief both Elas and Reth felt from those words was immeasurable. All the stress in their chest was released with a long sigh.
"That''s good to hear, miss."
"It''s Vargha."
"Uh, yes, Miss Vargha, ma''am, I am Elas..." He pointed to his king, not taking his eyes off Vargha. "And this is the King of Dugria, Reth Thurthamath."
"Oh..okay.."
Why is he being so polite?
"And um..." Elas continues. "This giant crater is your doing."
"I did this?"
"Uh, um, well," Elas says in a rush." I-I mean, the spell that released you caused this crater. Not you, per say. "
"Okay." She stands, looking around, and at a 360-degree angle, past the giant hole in the ground, there are nothing but trees. "Where are we?" But before either of the men could answer her, Vargha noticed the four beheaded bodies lying next to them. "Wait. Who are they?"
"They were demons and needed to be eliminated," Reth answered.
"Were they strong?"
This could be the chance for me to say the iconic word before resurrecting the dead to join my army.
"No, ma''am," Elas said. " They went down in one strike."
Mmh. Guess not.
"Do you know where I can find and kill some strong enemies?"
"Yes, ma''am. Demons are invading my lord''s nation as we speak."
"You said you aren''t our enemy, Vargha. It will be an honor to have your assistance taking out the remaining demons."
"Sounds good."
Upon hearing that, Elas remembered he had to breathe and exhaled lightly while undoing the magic shield. "Follow us, Miss Vargha. We will take you to Dugria."
Chapter 3
"My lord?"
"Yes?"
"None of them were Hrekdroog."
"What?!"
"Look."
They expected at least one of them to transform into a decapitated, freakish-looking monster with black, scaly skin, a body as thin as someone with severe anorexia, and a head devoid of eyes and ears, but with a mouth like a snake''s. But the four bodies remained human, despite their prolonged vigil. Another two minutes passed, yet there was no change.
"Goddammit!" Reth paced, hand under chin. "Okay... Shit! What are we going to tell their families?"
"They died in the explosion. We can even show them the crater as evidence if they don''t believe us, but I doubt the sound went unnoticed."
"No. If someone finds their body, they will know how they really died. These mages are headless not turned into mush."
Elas remains quiet for a few seconds before saying. "I have an idea. With your order, my lord, I can throw them into the hole here. There is no end in sight. No one will find them."
"You have my permission. Do it."
Vargha stares blankly at the two men, as they concocted their plan.
Fucking Cowards. Our protagonist said. Commit manslaughter and now trying to cover it up. Some king you are, Reth.
But he couldn''t care less about any of this. His sole focus is on amassing more soul soldiers and growing stronger. By the looks of it, he already has two. If this was the Bastard¡¯s way of making amends for putting him into the body of a futanari without consent, then our protagonist is undoubtedly grateful. Though not a huge fan of the futanari kink, he is simply thrilled to be a necromancer, like his favorite necromancer.
He could already say the iconic word now if he wanted to. His inner fanboy is screaming with excitement. And given the soldiers had no cap number, it could only mean one thing: He could recruit as many souls as he desired. These Nenniaidae are just overpowered. Not to mention, the sensation of power is almost absolute in this new body. He feels so tough that he believes that if hit with a planet destroying attack, Vargha will come out of it unscathed.
Vargha¡¯s appearance is a testament to the danger of judging someone by outward looks alone. Her body exudes a gentle, feminine energy, graceful and elegant. Yet, beneath that exterior lay a formidable power capable of immense destruction.
"Now, thats out of the way, Elas, how do you explain the dark mana? Who put it in the Reincarnation Spell?"
"I don''t know, my lord. Maybe it wasn''t with us? Maybe the Hrekdroog stayed in the shadows to avoid detection, infused its evil magic into the spell, and tried to escape but was killed by the explosion."
"It¡¯s possible. Though I highly doubt it died from the explosion. Those damn things are tough as nails...¡± Lord Reth then groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. ¡°Ugh! What a shitshow. We were supposed to reincarnate heroes, but now we have four of the best mages dead.¡±
¡°Don¡¯t worry, my lord. We can still win this war against the demons without them. Though if we want to try the Reincarnation Spell again, we¡¯ll need mages strong enough to do it.¡±
¡°It took us five years to find them,¡± Reth grunted through gritted teeth. ¡°Let¡¯s just get back to Dugria. Vargha can-" He turned, expecting her to be still have been on her pillar, but the Nenniaidae had already stepped onto their pillar and joined them. "Oh, never mind. Let¡¯s go, Elas."
"Yes, my lord."
Elas is tall as hell. Our protagonist said, as Vargha looks up at the man. Didn''t the message say I''m six feet? But he''s a whole foot taller. His armor looks pretty cool, and he must be quite strong to wield a sword like that. He could make a good soul soldier. No, he''d be a great soldier after the 1000% buff... Wait, stop! Why am I thinking about killing him? He''s an Adventurer. I shouldn''t be thinking of killing Adventurers. Wouldn''t that make me a villain? The demons they''ll show me will most likely be stronger.
Damn. He was contemplating premeditated murder. But it would be nice for him to be part of her army. Maybe he''ll kill Elas after the demons become her soul soldiers. He¡¯s already treating her like royalty. What''s the harm in shooting a Death Beam between his eyebrows and making him even more powerful? Yes, he''ll thank her. He will definitely thank his mistress. Just. One. Shot, and...
No! He can''t make an enemy out of a nation the day he gets reincarnated.
Vargha sighed quietly. She looked away from the man because the more she stared, the stronger the urge to kill him grew.
Quit it with the murderous intent. I need to get to Dugria. Fast.
"Will it take long to get there?"
"No, ma''am. I''m going to teleport us to where the battle is taking place. It will quite literally be just an instant."
"Ok, good."
"Stay close to me, my lord, and miss Vargha." Elas summoned an orb of white light around them, which immediately began to condense into itself like a dying star, until it vanished completely. The forest fell silent, now empty of the three who had been there.
***
The Dugria village used to be a thriving one. Given where the nation is, it was far enough not to experience much demonic invasion. But now that the demon''s territory has been stretching further and further, it''s their turn to defend against the demon''s attempt to colonize. Due to them having generally peaceful lives, they have the weakest Adventurers since they have little to no real battle experience. Sparring is essential when fighting against humans. But Assoriah''s main threat isn''t humans; it''s the demons. For once, humanity is too busy fighting another species that has taken its spot at the top of the food chain to fight amongst themselves. Sadly, due to Dugria not having much experience with fighting powerful monsters, the weakest demons, the Tror''oras, who are Threat Level Silver, are a real problem for them. And currently, 50,000 Tror''oras are invading.

The Tror''oras are giant creatures towering at the same height as Hrekdroog, at seven feet and eleven inches. Like a Hrekdroog, they are freakish looking at what would easily be the perfect monsters in a horror film. Their bodies are skinny with no details to their face, like flesh put over a skeleton. They have pale white, peeling, dry skin with deep rashes covering their entire body. It''s as if they are suffering from a severe case of atopic dermatitis. They don¡¯t have lips, so you¡¯d be able to see their mouth full of all canine teeth. From the mouth down to the stomach, their muscles are exposed as if someone wasn¡¯t finished skinning them alive. These atrocious creatures have horns similar to an addax but much thicker and sharper, with four long fingers that possess black nails just as sharp and as long as the blade of kitchen knives and as talons as feet.
Most of their Rank D to B Adventurers have already been slaughtered and eaten. Leaving only the knights who are trying their best to fend off the demonic force, but they are getting their ass handed to them.
"There seems to be no end to these fuckers!!!" a knight charges at the nearest demon; the beast tries to impale the warrior in the chest with its long pointy nails, but he side-stepped then swung down his sword onto the monster''s wrist.
He''s wearing body armor made of steel with a helmet that, unlike Elas¡¯, doesn¡¯t have horns, and the knight¡¯s face is exposed. Currently caked in dirt and blood, some of it is his and isn¡¯t.
Thwack!!
"Augh!!" The demon cries out in pain as its hand lays on the ground.
"HAHA! Take that, you wretched beast!"
"Dray, look out!! Behi-!"
The overconfident knight turns to where the warning came from and 50 yards away is another knight wearing the same type of armor running towards him. Thankfully, Dray was quick enough to see the giant beast coming at him with another crushing strike and block the massive blow with his sword, but the force sent him back. It was also strong enough to knock the wind out of him. It felt like getting hit by a cannon.
"Gaughk!!"
And it wasn''t what his comrade was warning him about. There was another Tror''oras 20 yards behind him, and now the knight was flying right to him. Dray was too dazed to do anything as the demon he was closing in on had opened its mouth, revealing a forked tongue. It was opened so wide that its pointy chin had reached down to its kneecaps.
"NOOOOO!!" Dray''s comrade desperately threw his sword at the monster, but he was now unarmed. The demon who had punched Dray back with crazy speed had turned his attention onto him, and before that knight could do anything, the demon in one stride closed the distance to stomp onto his head. His armor and body too weak to handle the power of the creature. The gruesome splat sound of his body getting flattened like a pancake filled the air.
That was the last thing Dray saw before being chomped down on by the other demon. His top half in the monster''s mouth while his bottom half had dropped to the ground, entrails exposed and leaking out. The Tro''oras began munching on his meal as chaos goes on all around with screams, cries, and iron ripping through flesh. The thrown sword was caught and eaten by the demon as well before it continued its rampage in the village¡ªkilling and eating men, women, and children.
"My God! Where the hell are Nol and Levy?!" another knight weaves a strike from the demon before stabbing it in the thigh. The Tror''oras drops to a knee.
¡°AHHHHHHHHH!!!.¡± The rage of all the people these demons have killed is shown through the knight¡¯s primal scream as he leaps in the air, digging his entire blade under the beast''s chin, the tip peeking out its skull. But the demon still had enough strength to deliver a mighty blow to his ribs, knocking him to the ground and leaving his sword in the beast''s head. "Arugh!! We-we need Adventurers! They are too strong."
His ribs are broken. His armor is now as helpful as wearing casual clothing since that''s all covering him now. The blow destroyed the top half of his armor, exposing the white T-shirt underneath. Also, his helmet was knocked off his head when he hit the ground with a nasty thud.
I-I hope Lord Thurthamath is okay. Let''s hope the explosion I heard earlier was by Elas and not an enemy.
The knight not only heard the thunderous roar of the combustion but also felt its devastating aftermath. Hearing the explosion despite how far it is to the village is a testament to just how strong it actually was. The shockwave had also managed to reach the village. In turn, knocking every human to the ground, even saving lives, allowing them to avoid an attack from the demons by a hairbreadth.
The explosion wasn''t merely heard and felt in the village; its thunderous roar and seismic shockwaves echoed across all of Assiorah. The sheer force of the blast reverberated through mountains, valleys, and forests, shaking the very foundation of the land. From the highest peaks to the deepest caverns, the power of the explosion was felt by all.
They are currently outnumbered. Whenever a knight miraculously manages to kill one, there are already multiple they must worry about. And it doesn''t help that the battle occurred in the middle of the city. Dead bodies fill the streets, most of them being those of civilians and the weaker Adventurers; homes on each side are destroyed and flattened. Given that the avenue has buildings on each side, the street is basically like a lane. While it''s not too narrow to the point the civilians wouldn¡¯t be able to maneuver around freely; the demons have the advantage of using their large size and numbers to smother the fighters.
The Tror''oras yanked the sword from its head; black blood now dyed the blade. "Die, human." Its voice was unnaturally rough and gravelly, like rubbing two stones together. Fitting for the type of creature he is. It stood over the wounded warrior, staring down with its solid red eyes, and showed him its palm. Immediately, what looked like black flames began conjuring from its palm. The fireball starts to get bigger and bigger, quickly reaching a size bigger than a volleyball.
I guess this is it. The knight stares as the flames get larger. He knows he won''t survive this. These flames are not like the fire he knows. Trying to extinguish it with water is pointless. It turns the human body to dust in seconds. Sorry, Dahlia, Troy, and my precious wife, Frey. I won''t be coming back home.
However, before the knight could say hello to God in the Afterlife, a white light appeared far down the street. It was bright and humming with energy. It quickly got all the demon''s attention. That ball of light grew from being no bigger than a human''s hand to the size of a seven-foot-tall giant. When it finally dimmed to nothing, Elas, Reth, and Vargha stood in its place.
The first things that reached into their nostrils were burned flesh and decaying bodies. Only Vargha didn''t retch and cringe from the atrocious aroma.
"UGHK!!¡± Reth pinched his nose to try to block out the smell. ¡°There''s more of them, Elas! They are filling the streets."
But before Elas could join in the fight, Vargha stepped up.
"I''ll take care of it." She shows no emotion, but our protagonist inside is completely fanboying for what he''s about to do.
